ProtectMyCar made me a good deal. The only thing was I didn't get the right coverage where I should have gotten the premium package. But aside from that, I've been pretty satisfied so far. I set for the payments to be automatically deducted from my checking account. It also went smoothly when I filed a claim. I took the car to Chevrolet, they called the warranty and ProtectMyCar said is was covered and they paid for it. They didn't question the car dealer's maintenance department about fixing the part that was bad. I'd recommend ProtectMyCar.

I was in the market for an extended warranty so I looked into a couple of people here. It appealed to me that the CEO of ProtectMyCar is a veteran just like I am. We talked about some other things because I had so many questions and he said most of the right things so I went with them. But filing a claim to them was not as smooth as I would have liked it to be. I had the warranty on two cars and have since sold one. But I still have the warranty on the one I kept.

I serviced my vehicle and gave the service advisor ProtectMyCar's number and the policy number. I was told to contact ProtectMyCar for a pre-approval, was informed of what was covered and what's not, and I would decide whether or not I was going to go with it. However, there were some things that I thought were covered that were not. Although I did quite a bit of work for my Murano and a lot of it was covered. There was still some factory warranty on some things so it wasn't exorbitant. I did get my money's worth over time.

The last thing I had done was the radiator when it had a leak. Out of nowhere, my fluid drained 'cause there was a crack in the seal of the radiator. I took it to the dealership and they contacted ProtectMyCar and they said it was covered but they were not going to pay for the radiator and were going to send one instead. That was worth a few extra days and they had to provide me a rental for that. I didn't have too much of a problem with it because I was hoping that since they were still covering the part, they were going to send me something that was comparable to what the dealership provided. One thing I didn't expect is that if it's covered and the dealer is gonna put it in, then ProtectMyCar will reimburse them. But my service rep let me know that they came to an agreement and ProtectMyCar called me to follow up with something.

If ProtectMyCar decides not to cover a claim, they call me and try to explain why. So I'm 100% satisfied. In fact, on my previous claim, I got the car to the dealership and I didn't have to think about anything. It was covered and I got a rental. I went about by my business, they fixed it and nobody was calling to verify and all this other stuff.

It is true that some repairs take more time to correct completely than others do. We want to make sure that our policyholders are getting the best parts and the correct repairs. Nothing is more annoying than having to go backto get a previous repair done correctly.
We are very glad that the repairs you have had were completed correctly and that you are satisfied with them. Best of all, we are here to help the next time you need help.

ProtectMyCar is good and I don’t have a problem with them. When I talked to a guy in one of their branches out in Florida, he told me that the better the down payment I put down, the lower my monthly payments would be. I didn’t have a good down payment but the rep worked with me. He got my monthly payment for $60 or $69 a month. My window regulator was broken and I didn’t read the fine print that it was covered. It was broken for two months and I got it fixed within a week.

When the gentleman from ProtectMyCar first called me, he told me that the warranty covers breakdown, routine maintenance, oil changes, and rental cars. They are good at paying for oil changes and tire rotations, and I appreciate that it's easy, so it helps me out. However, they came up with a lot of rules that weren't there when I originally bought the warranty. I really don't feel that it's worth the money I pay. There are a lot of stuff that wasn't covered, and they come up with reasons. I ended up needing a transmission, and they covered nothing on it. They keep saying they are waiting for the old mechanic to send that stuff and they never get it. Also, I'm not getting my car rentals paid for most of the time. ProtectMyCar doesn't send the money back and they are not paying enough of it anyway. When we have hail damage here, car rentals are about $86 to $101. Normally, it is at $60 to $70. And then, they only go for three days.

In addition, they have a couple of plans and what they do is drop a customer down to the lower plan and say they don't do any of that when the person bought the higher level plan. According to what I was told, any maintenance that might cause a breakdown will be paid for. I have to find someone to fix it, and then, it would pay for it because it was a breakdown. For instance, when my car was stalling and we got it running again after three hours and got it in for repairs, all they can think of is I needed my spark plugs changed. They paid a very small portion so I ended up paying something, and I had lifetime spark plugs, which should have been fine. In that sense, I'm really paying most of it.

They need to make some changes because they aren't paying out very well. My car was in the shop all the time, so it is in good shape and I wasn't expecting the transmission to go out. Then, I had a brand new radiator and somebody bust it up, so I had to pay for that. All in all, the car was in really good shape when I purchased it, so they should have made a fair amount of money on it. I just talked to the mechanic again who said my car is in a very good shape and to just drive it. They rotated the tires and found something wrong, which I got fixed. There's no point buying a new car when I have to spend money like this.

In the long run, at a four-year contract, ProtectMyCar will make money for oil changes and rotation only and I'm not minding that, but the warranty didn't work the way I was told it would work. The amount they paid was so small that it almost isn't worth it because of the time consumed going back and forth with them to try to get the mechanic paid, and it usually takes a long time for them to get paid. Also, I expect it to pay more to help me out because that's what I paid for. I wished it would have been a little better than the rental cars. They aren't even bothered to pay for an item, and they don't bother calling or telling me. It's really ridiculous.

It is not worth $30 a month. They are nitpicking me too much and I would appreciate less nitpicking. Another complaint I have is that they pay all of the charges, and I have to give them my credit card for them to charge it. They should just pay their part, and then, I would just pay the rest with my credit card at the shop. I asked the mechanic if I should cancel it, and so far, he said I should keep it. I'm not sure if I can even cancel it. It isn't the way it was represented when I purchased it. There is nothing that is the same.

I heard about ProtectMyCar.com from the dealer I got my truck from. I started off with Tricor, who wasn't doing what they’re supposed to, and the truck dealer said he had another warranty for me. However, ProtectMyCar went outside their word. They explained that once the mechanic did diagnosis, they will fix my truck. It didn’t happen like that. My truck slept almost a whole month. I was without a vehicle and they did not care. When I got the diagnosis from one of their guys, I told them, "What am I supposed to do, just walk to work and there’s snow on the ground?" Since the service department knew that I was getting frustrated, they said they know I have to get to work, and they have an old pick-up truck that I can drive. But there wasn't any rental they're supposed to have. Instead, I took my truck to a truck rental place that fixed it and let me use one of their vehicles.

I also called them about for an issue with oil leak. They told me to take it back over the different shop where work was done and maybe it was leaking from there. But what that other shop fixed is not the problem why there’s an oil leak. Basically, ProtectMyCar doesn’t want to fix anything. They just want to collect my money every month.

They did whatever the warranty covered, and have been pretty helpful in my time of need.

A couple parts of my experience with Protect My Car is good and a couple is bad. I have some things on my car that were supposed to be covered in the program, like the clock, and they said that they didn't cover it and that I misread it, when it was clearly on my template. They covered some other stuff, but I ended up having to pay a few thousand dollars out of my pocket for stuff that I felt should've been taken care of. That's probably one of my bigger concerns because if it's going to be covered and it says it's going to be covered, then it should be. If I'm going to be paying for all this out of my pocket, then I don't need to be paying Protect My Car.

Another one is that they were charging me for an invoice, and I was surprised about that. One the managers said, "Well, maybe in the future we'll do you a favor by staying with us." I thought that was a weird statement. The warranty isn't exactly what they say when they sell it to you over the phone. Some of the things were covered, but it was such a battle. And you shouldn't want to battle when you’re by a situation. You have to look up stuff on the internet and show it to the rep who's supposed to be knowledgeable. Then finally they approve it after they've told me that it was declined. That's not cool.

I was inquiring about extended coverage for car insurance. I didn't really shop around as I was pressed for time since my car is getting older and I needed to get something. I had to submit a claim back in May and I had a little bit of difficulty with getting Protect My Car to cover some things. The claim was for a transmission issue and I had to show proof that I had prior maintenance on the car before they would even approve a claim to get it fixed. Then I ran into an issue with getting rental reimbursement. So it's not the best coverage because I know that if I had more time, I probably could've found something better. Even the car dealership person said he has dealt with others and they weren't this bad. But the representatives I interacted with took their time and were pretty compassionate about my issue. They also gave me feedback on what else I needed to do.

I was totally disappointed in the claim that I submitted because I thought I had warranty protection against damage or wear or tear. But when I filed a claim with ProtectMyCar, they told me I didn’t have warranty protection. What I was paying for was discounted parts. My discussion with the claims representatives didn't go well because they told me, “Read your contract.” Well, "read your contract" and what they said on the phone are two different things. I’m not gonna read 10 pages of contract when the rep explained to me on the phone that ProtectMyCar does not pick up my warranty from where it left off. I'm expecting a warranty discount, but it turned out to be just a discount on some parts. I’m still paying the same labor cost that the dealership is charging. ProtectMyCar just saved me some money on the parts that they put in my car, which may or may not be manufacturer parts. They could be rebuilt parts.

I used their road service once because my truck broke down. So I called them and the tow truck came. Thank God I was within the 20-mile distance radius that they had. I didn’t have to pay extra for the towing. They towed me to a dealership and then they discounted me on the parts. But I had an issue when they refused to pay simply because I didn’t contact them prior to towing. I had towing through my insurance and also had one through them. I forgot that I had their protection. So I called my regular insurance towing, had my vehicle towed, and then once I got to the shop and they told me how much it was gonna cost, my wife reminded me that I had signed up for some type of warranty. And when I called ProtectMyCar, they said, “Oh, no. we can’t pay for it because you should have told us before.”

I filed a claim once and I was a little angry because when I put the paperwork in with the Volkswagen place and Protect My Car's estimator went down there and checked out the work they were gonna do, they refused to do some of it. The Volkswagen dealership called them and let them know what exactly needed to be done. Volkswagen said Protect My Car was okaying for a certain portion of the maintenance work they had to do, instead of doing the whole job at one time.

When I got the car back, it wasn't fixed right. I had to pay $100 deductible for that and another $100 when Protect My Car had to bring the car back in and have the rest of the work done, which I shouldn't have to pay if they would have let Volkswagen do the job that was recommended. At the time, I was having problems since I just had surgery so I didn't want to get on a phone and get into an argument.

It was also a hassle in the beginning to pay the warranty because Protect My Car wanted to deduct it off my credit card and I had a bad experience with that. So for over a month, I was trying to get these people to send me a bill in the mail so I could mail my payment on time. Finally, after about three or four months, they started sending me and now it's a regular thing. I immediately just write out the check and send it off to them. I haven't had a problem since. They were at least pretty good when it came to covering the work on the car.

I've been with them since two years ago. I've used the warranty two or three times and every time that I have a claim, they would always relate to the handbook. At one time, I thought my claim was covered but they told me it wasn't. The other two or three times were good though. I did have to watch the mechanics to make sure they are legit on what they say is the problem. They told me I needed some pretty expensive magnifying system for the engine. What I did instead was to swap and paid $400 for it myself. Other than that, I really had no major setback with them so far.

I put Protect My Car on the phone with the Mazda dealership and they were the ones that haggled it out. I paid ProtectMyCar for two years, and then my shock got broken. When I took my car to the dealer, they said my shocks is not good and that ProtectMyCar should cover it because it says "everything" in the book. So, I paid for the shocks, and now ProtectMyCar is saying that it's not covered and they won't pay me. So, I tried to cancel, and the lady advised me to stay because I would need it later and that she'd give me a one-year oil change free, so I said okay.

Later, when my air-condition was not good, they paid me for it, so was very happy. But when there was another issue wherein they're supposed to pay me, they didn't. And then, one day, I called them for tow service because it is free, and they sent a guy with a broken truck. My car was down, so I needed a tow with a bed to put my car up, but these guys didn't bring a bed. They just pulled it up and scratched my car. I called ProtectMyCar but they never responded to me. The guy with the truck told me that I have to pay $100 for the tow otherwise, they'll take my car back. My car is a Mercedes and it’s still scratched now and ProtectMyCar did nothing. My husband said to cancel it but I needed something because the Mercedes is very expensive and that’s why I have the ProtectMyCar. However, they have a lot of problems, and I don't like it.

My mechanic wasn’t always very happy. He took care of everything but the last time I had some work done, ProtectMyCar was blaming him that he had done something to the car. They weren't going to cover the gasket on the electronic part that he had pulled out of the transmission, and it cost me $2,000. It was a Cadillac and I knew things were expensive to fix. It only had less than 100,000 miles on it. I sold the car and I told the person that bought the car about the warranty and she said "No" straight up. She's in the car business and she said ProtectMyCar doesn't cover anything and it's not worth it. I broke even on the warranty, but it didn’t save me anything from that big transmission gasket that needed to be replaced. All in all, I wasn't satisfied with my experience with ProtectMyCar and I wouldn't recommend them.

So far I'm pleased with ProtectMyCar. My co-worker said it was pretty reputable. I've had three claims in since I've had it. The first time, I called and the claims person that handled the claim knew what to do from there. They walked me through the process on how it works. They were really nice and gave me a lot of information. Also, making payments isn't hard. If I don't have the money in my account, I call them up and they'll work with me and pull the money out the date I say I have it available. I've had a good experience with that.

It took a while to get the claim taken care of the last time I had a claim. It was hard to detect what the problem was from the dealership. It took a while for them to get the part in and then dealership wanted them to pay the higher price but they caught it. There was a battle that they had with the dealership. But it worked in their favor because they said it's too high of a price versus the market price. So I love that. I had a rental car and got reimbursed because my car was in the shop for repair.

When I made a claim, I took my car to the dealership and they called ProtectMyCar on my behalf. I hadn't had to go through a whole lot of paperwork. ProtectMyCar is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. The first time I used it was just this last month. They made the shop put a rebuilt radiator in there and that radiator lasted two days. And then at the same time, they also had put a rebuilt AC compressor that also lasted two days. And then the other day, my water pump had worn out. I didn’t want to deal with them, so I just paid for it myself because I didn’t want a piece of junk. I want genuine Ford parts. If people want to pay a lot of money to get junky, rebuilt parts on their car, they should go with ProtectMyCar.

I always end up stuck in a jam every time. I went to a shop or the dealer to get my car fixed but they make sure that they take out their payment from your bank account on time. The last bill they stuck me with came out to $13,000. My motor went but they didn't want to agree to any shop hours that was more than $60 an hr but they tell you that you can take your car anywhere you like.

Almost all dealers shop quotes are $130 minimum labor rate per hr. Then they say they can save you up to 25% on your bill but that's only for jobs that's under $300 so what's the point of have a $2500 extended warranty? They are crooks so I beg you to save your $. They have changed their name 2 times since I have been with them and if you break down or need a tow you will have to pay the company upfront and they will reimburse you but you will never get your $ back because their fax machines never work or receive faxes unless it's to confirm a payment.

    Reviewed Aug. 27, 2016

My experience submitting a claim to ProtectMyCar was unsatisfactory. I had a sensor that has gone bad and it was one of those that needed taking in for because it was messing up my anti-lock brake system. For some reason, the system would cause the wheels to skid like it was sliding on ice and all I was doing was slowing down at a stop sign in like 70-degree heat on a sunny day. So, it was actually pretty bad, unsafe driving conditions and it was all just this one sensor. I was told it was the anti-lock sensor.

So, I get into the Chevy garage and told them I had the extended warranty. They contacted ProtectMyCar and they told them they couldn't do that claim on that warranty because it was electrical which I didn't see anywhere. It didn't say sensors weren't covered. The guy tried to explain to me on the phone. And while they were in there, they said my upper ball joints were getting a little play in them and something else up in the front end. And the guy from the warranty company called me back and said that they would do the work. And I said it wasn't necessary, that it was just a maintenance thing. They said in a year or two, they might need to replace those upper ball joints. But the problem is that the brakes are locking up in the middle of highways, and the sensor needs replacement. But he said they wouldn't do it.

So, I talked to the mechanic and he said, "If you can afford to pay for it then they'll do that work while we're in here. We'll do that work and have the warranty company pay for that. You could at least get it all done at one time." I said, "Yeah. But I had to pay out-of-pocket for a sensor that went bad not because of me. It just was a bad sensor that I thought the warranty company would cover." They covered their work that they talked about doing but the parts that they wanted to cover in that claim required a front-end alignment because they were taking basically the whole front wheel assemblies off the truck and put new upper A-arms and upper ball joints and all that up on the front end.

And there's a law that once that was done on a vehicle, it has to be aligned when it's put back together. But the warranty company wouldn't pay for an alignment, yet, they were forcing work or they were paying for work that will require an alignment. So, they had to add the alignment fee on top of my fee that I had to pay out-of-pocket.

This is why I have been meaning to cancel ProtectMyCar. I've just been so busy with family things and travel. I was gonna cancel my warranty as soon as possible because I could just save the $64 and some odd cents that I'm putting into that extended warranty payment and put it in a savings account, and when I needed to use it, I would've had the money to use it instead of giving over $1,000 to a warranty company that didn't do the work. So, I just didn't really see it pay off, even though the auto-payment makes the payment process pretty easy.

To have them not pitch that line that they do on the first phone call was borderline harassing. I got calls every week by eight different warranty companies and that name that the guy repeated was one I'd heard before. So, I went ahead and listened to his spiel and it was bumper-to-bumper coverage is what he called it. I had asked him explain it and he said it was bumper-to-bumper coverage. And I talked to them on the phone for a half hour to 45 minutes, giving them my information and I told them I still wasn't sure because $65 seemed like an awful lot for an extended warranty. But he assured me for bumper-to-bumper coverage and that it'd be worth it when my truck gets higher mileage.

I wasn't trying to use it but when my truck sensors blew out and was causing me to wheel walk in the middle of a hi-way doing 55, I just wanted that problem fixed but they wouldn't. So, I have no clue what they meant by bumper-to-bumper coverage because it was literally like a maintenance issue with a sensor. So, I felt really misled on the phone call on buying the warranty. That's why I'm not recommending them to anyone. I've done the opposite. I work for an engineering firm and pretty much 90% of the people have full-size pick-ups and I couldn't in good conscience recommend ProtectMyCar 'cause I say it's not bumper-to-bumper.

However, I didn't like the information about what's covered and what's not. Sometimes, the wait is a little too long in submitting a claim, but overall it's okay. The last time I filed a claim was around six months ago, and it was good. The only problem was, I had to get a manager involved because they didn't want to submit the payment right away, so there was a little bit of calling back and forth, but not too bad. I called to know how long it would take, but they started giving me the runaround. So then, the manager at the dealership talked to the manager at the claims center for me.

My experience with ProtectMyCar to this point has not been the greatest. Part of it is my problem because I was in the process of moving and all the records that they were looking for ended up in the move. So it’s been kind of a debacle. I think the claim has been approved; however, I just contacted the garage today and they haven’t gotten an approval code yet in Clearwater. I’m renting a car out of my pocket and I’ve had it for two weeks. It’s putting me in a financial bind. I realize that they cover that up to a week, but I still have to pay it and then wait to get reimbursed. As it stands, it’s gonna be at least three more days because they haven’t even started working on the car yet. They don’t even have it on a lift.

Originally my car was at the Buick Dealership. If they would have left my car there, it probably would’ve been finished. What happened is the Buick Dealership does not install parts that they don’t provide, and the warranty company wanted to provide the part. So instead of leaving it there and paying a little bit of extra money, they had it towed somewhere else which cost them an extra $100. They’re having to pay a couple more days of rental, which is costing them more money.

I’m not very dissatisfied because I know there are policies and procedures that have to be followed. I've filed one other claim before and it took about four days but ProtectMyCar got approval immediately on it. They didn’t have to get service records and all that stuff. It’s also easy to make the payments. All I got to do is give them my account number and they take it every month.

I’ve only had one breakdown since I got ProtectMyCar insurance for my truck. When the repair place fixed my truck, they didn’t put power steering in because ProtectMyCar didn’t pay for it and they didn’t bother telling me. They did a really shoddy work. They should gone ahead, put the fluid in, and billed me extra for it, but they didn’t do that. When I asked them was there fluid in it, they said there was and they took care of it.

So I was driving around in my truck and all of a sudden it’s not steering right. I pulled over and checked it, and it’s bone dry. I called to complain and the guy from ProtectMyCar got smart mouth with me which really pissed me off. At that time, I had so much money invested in. I had them for about a year or two and I couldn’t afford to cancel so I just stuck with them.

I won’t use them again after that incident. It was just ridiculous. The contract was irritating and deceiving. They advertised the transmission going out was covered so I assumed the transmission fluid would go with it. If my transmission goes out, I would expect them to cover the transmission fluid, and if my radiator goes out, I would expect them to cover the radiator fluid. That’s part of it. If my engine needs rebuilt, I would expect them to cover the oil. That would just be assumed by most people and I have a real problem with that. If they’re not going to pay for fluid, they should have that in large print at the top of the page.

Also, they ended up having my truck for a couple of days and they told me about having to put out money for a rental if I did get a rental, and then wait to get reimbursed for it. I’m on disability. The whole purpose of buying the insurance was to only have $100 come out of my pocket. The salesman who sold me the policy knew that. That’s one of the things they used to sell it to me. I was told all I got to pay is a $100 deductible and the rest is covered including rental. He lied when he sold me the insurance. And if I had known all those, I would’ve never gotten it. I’m very unsatisfied. I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody at this point unless they change their policies.

My warranty ran out and I did some research online to find a good price and got ProtectMyCar. Making payments for the warranty was easy because they take it directly from my account. I just found out I have two more years on it, but as soon as I get my settlement, I’m gonna go ahead and pay it off. Recently, I had to have a transmission put in and it took about three weeks before they could actually get to my truck. It only took a couple of days with the warranty that I had before. I guess because it’s far away that they took their time trying to put a refurbished transmission in it.

I submitted my claim over the phone and it took them about three days in to actually close it out. It was a difficult process and I spoke to a rep twice. Then the dealership, Ford Motor Company, dealt with them every day and they kept running into problems and issues. It was back and forth so that’s the process that took so long. The claims rep was knowledgeable about the transmission and told me it will be at the dealership the next day. However, it didn’t get there until after almost two weeks. The transmission came from LKQ. I had to call them again to see if they cover car rental, even though I read the warranty that says they will provide rental car coverage, and I didn’t find out until the next day. I went to Capital Ford and they said that since they’re gonna submit the claim, they’ll put car rental up there also.

ProtectMyCar's price is very reasonable and submitting a claim to them was very easy once I got all the information. However, I was a little disappointed that the claim was not paid the way I thought it should’ve been paid. I thought it covered a little better but it cost me $1,700 out of my pocket for the work.

Thank you for your comments. We are glad to have helped you with your recent repair. Not all components are covered under any policy and that is why you had some out of pocket repair costs.
No policy, no matter who issues it, will cover 100% of a vehicle. As your vehicle ages and more miles are added it will likely that future repairs will be to covered components. When that occurs you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage.

ProtectMyCar was the only extended auto warranty being offered to me at that time, and it happened to be when my original warranty was running out. I've had a good experience so far when submitting a claim over the phone. The claim process is not difficult. Both times that I've had a claim, I called their reps and they said that I needed to have the dealer to call so that they can verify that the issue is a covered item. And once they spoke to the dealer and got that confirmed, they took care of it.

I received a lot of different promotional calls before. I talked to one of ProtectMyCar's reps and they explained everything to me. I felt that that was my best option. They seemed to have more coverage and they're less expensive, so I went with them. Their claims process was easy. I took it to the auto shop, the shop called in and explained to them, and they approved it. I haven’t had anything denied, but I haven’t had a lot of claims either. It’s been satisfactory for me so far.

I tried to use their roadside assistance before by calling their 800 number but nobody ever answered the call. My car wouldn’t do anything and my grandkids and I were stuck at school and we couldn’t go anywhere. And when it does that, we can’t roll up the windows and we can’t lock or unlock the doors. They said that there’s somebody supposed to be on-call 24/7, but I couldn’t get anyone. Fortunately enough, I got a hold of a rep at the warranty place and got it fixed. That was the only bad experience I had.

Also, I tried to get the tow service but I didn’t understand what they meant about the distance - they were telling me that if I go over a 100 miles, they would charge me. They called me but they were tied down and since I got AAA, I called AAA who they came right away.

He was very friendly, he was telling me about the auto protection plan and when I told him I couldn't afford it, he said he was going to see if he can reduce it down some and he did. So far I've had good experience with them. The only problem that I've had was with the car rental. My transmission went out and they kept my car for almost a month. They only pay for a certain amount of days for the car rental, so I still had to pay $500 after that. I felt that it was no use for me trying to call them because they were not going to change their minds. Other than that, everything was good.

ProtectMyCar offered a good coverage at a decent price so I took it. I've been with them for two and a half years and I've had two claims which they paid most of them, so I'm happy with them. They did what they were supposed to do. The repair guy has to do the claims process and calls ProtectMyCar to inform them what's wrong with the car and get the authorization to do the work.

The first claim was about one of those automatic trunk lid openers that wouldn't work. The only issue with ProtectMyCar is it takes them a long time to get back and get everything organized. It took three weeks before they approved it. I asked the mechanic if I can drive the car for the month and when ProtectMyCar is going to come, then I'll bring it back. He said no because the mileage has to be the same. If it's a big enough repair, ProtectMyCar has to send somebody out to look at the car, but it takes them a long time. So if you're going to put it in a claim, you better know you're not going to have your car for a couple of weeks. So that’s annoying. The second claim was a bit faster and the dealership gave me a car to use. ProtectMyCar reimbursed the car rental.

However, I looked it over and had a misunderstanding about what was covered particularly the sensor part. I took it to my dealership to see if it was a good policy, and they said it was just about regular as everyone else. I decided to stick with it and see what happens. My previous factory warranty was about to expire, and ProtectMyCar was the first one to reach out to me, so I decided to go ahead with them. I went to a shop for an issue with my car, and my warranty with them says it covers one of the issues that my car has, but technically for how it's supposed to be established in the warranty, they get in complying to fix it. Then they tell me it has a problem, but that I had to go to another shop and request for another diagnostic to be more precise on what the issue is, which is inconvenient because I am working and every time I get out, it's late. That was the only time I had time to do it. It's supposed to be a bit easier because I already have spent quite a lot of money with them, and I'm not very happy with that. Besides that, three years with the warranty, I only have used it once and there was no problem at all.

I had been looking for an auto warranty for a while and the timing was right when ProtectMyCar first called me. I did a little bit of research online during the call and went ahead and elected to sign up with them while they were on the phone with me. The reason that I purchased the warranty to begin with, was because I was told during the call that they would cover something that a lot of warranties do not, which is the seals and gaskets. I questioned the sales representative on the call, multiple times and he assured me that they covered that. But when I filed my first claim, they denied my claim and told me that they do not cover that.

I said, "That's great that you tell me that now, but if you want me to playback the audio recording of the sales representative that sold it to me, I can show you firsthand how that's exactly what he said." I was questionable about his commitment to that kind of coverage on the call, which is why I recorded the call. They did go back and they had recorded the call as well. They got a transcript of the call and found out that the representative made that promise to me more than one time. But then, continued to say, "Yes, he did. I'm sorry that happened, but we're not gonna cover that."

So we went around in circles and they did, after a while, agreed to lower the cost of it. And I reluctantly agreed to keep the policy. But it's frustrating because I have a problem with my vehicle that would have been covered under the verbal agreement that we had on the phone involving seals and gaskets. And it is going to be a $6,000 repair that I am simply electing not to do, because the warranty company is not covering. Then later, I filed another claim and they didn't cover that either. So I called their customer support and filed a complaint. And then to keep me as a customer, they lowered the payment again and finally gave me free oil changes, so I kept it. It has paid out several times, but I definitely was not happy with the way that it was misrepresented from the start of this process.

Each policy lists in clear terms the components covered under the policy. For the most part, covered components are the most expensive to repair and the most likely to break down. Doing so balances the cost of the coverage with the protection most folks need. That is how we keep the coverage affordable and still provide excellent coverage.

Then I went and got the man that was doing work on the car and the company told him that they were gonna call him back. The guy waited and waited but they also didn’t call him back. It went on like that for almost two months.

On the positive side, it's easy to make payments. They just take it out of my checking account every month. Their team was very nice, too. I use ProtectMyCar’s 24/7 road assistance, rental car benefits, or maintenance perks. They come right on and take care of the car, and once my battery went dead in the garage they came right away to take care of that, too. However, I might have to put it in again because my air condition is out. Moreover, every time I rent a car from one of the companies out here, they always cheat me out of some money. But the man got me one of their cars and it was nice so I really enjoyed that. All I had to do was replace the gas when I took it back. The Dodge Ram is really fast, too. I have to brag about it every time I talk to somebody. Based on my experience, I would recommend ProtectMyCar to someone because once they get everything together, they really pay for it. I didn’t have to pay a lot of money out of pocket.

I make payments for my extended auto warranty every month. At first when I bought the warranty, they said that it was only going to take two years to get it all done. My daughter sat there and listened to these people say that and I had it on speaker phone. But they've changed their mind and now say that it's going to take four years, and I can't understand why. It upsets me because I should have had the warranty all paid off back in May, and now I have to pay $170 something a month for another 24 months. It sucks that I was told one thing, and then I was told another thing. But I have to keep the warranty because my car's an '08 and it's got some miles on it, so I can't just go ahead and cancel it.

It was okay submitting a claim to ProtectMyCar. However, when I had to have my transmission done, I filed the claim and it was a complicated mess. I spoke to a claims representative and it wasn't as good as it could have been. It didn't seem like they cared too much and it seemed like every time something was going on, they wanted to change it around. It wasn't a very good experience because they took so long to do the work and it took me almost two weeks to get my car back. Furthermore, they argued with the people that I got to do the work at the transmission shop where I had the car towed to. They could have listened to me better. Instead they took almost a week and a half to find a part, and then after I got that, it took an extra seven days to get my rental car. It was a hassle.

But I never got to talk to anybody at ProtectMyCar about my frustrations. Nobody there ever contacted me again. It might have been nice if they had reached out to see how my service was going. So, it isn't really good with them. Sometimes I think they're a bunch of crooks. Nevertheless, they have paid for something. I had to have my starter and my water pump replaced, so that took a little bit of extra time. But I'm not very satisfied and I would not recommend them to anybody because of the things that I've been through.

They were the best warranty company I ever had in my life, but they only worked through a certain dealership, so I looked for a warranty company to cover the other vehicle that I bought. I compare ProtectMyCar to other companies and they were similar to the original company that I had.

Submitting a claim over the phone was easy and I had no issues. The most recent one was for the radiator of my Chrysler Aspen. The water pump had to be replaced as well. Their rep was friendly, intelligent and helpful. ProtectMyCar covered pretty much everything and I just had to pay for some interest. They work a little bit differently than the other company I used. They covered 70 to 80 percent of the bill and I was satisfied with that.

I also used their roadside assistance when my car broke down. They towed my vehicle from point A to the dealership. Paying for the warranty is simple and very convenient. I had the the Chevy dealers working with ProtectMyCar and it was easy to do that way. I just have the dealership and they'd call and update me with what's going on, whether they submitted the claim and paid for it. The first time was the only time where the car dealership was waiting. ProtectMyCar took a long time to send out an adjuster to to make sure that the Chevy dealership wasn't overcharging. They only pay for five days of a rental car and that made me pull money out of my pocket. They had to replace some big things. Since the car was relatively new and still under a factor warranty, they were figuring out who is gonna pay for what. That was around $2,500 worth of repairs and they ended up splitting it up and $100 came out of my pocket, which is better than $2,500. But the other time that I've submitted a claim, things went relatively smoothly. Maybe an extra policy that would protect us from extended shop times would be nice.

I put everything on auto pay. I don't know how much I paid for the policy in the past three years but $44 a month is nothing compared to coming up with 2,500 bucks. This saved me a couple of times where I would have to come up with a big chunk of money. I have two accounts and one of those strictly pays everything for the car. The account got low and for some reason, they weren't able to withdraw. They worked with me a couple times and gave me time to make sure that my policy didn't lapse which came in handy for me.

ProtectMyCar made the right call to me at the right time. I had a couple of claims to them and some were good but some were bad experiences. My bad experience was six months after I started up and past the sign-up requirements. I had an issue wherein they would not cover my claim of around $1,200 or $1,500. The guy also argued with me saying it was an existing condition but it couldn't have been because I wouldn't have been able to drive it for 3,000 miles in six months. I thought I signed up with a horrible company that was not going to stand behind their claims.

But for some smaller problems, ProtectMyCar was very quick to fix and take care of them for me. For my most recent claim, I should have used the rental benefit, though, 'cause I was struggling a little bit with it. With ProtectMyCar, it's been very middle of the road. They've held up their end of the bargain and have done what they said they would, however, they haven't gone above and beyond. Also, it's been extremely easy to make payments for the warranty and I do it online. I'm satisfied on the whole. Something like that.

When my car's warranty expired, ProtectMyCar called me, and I really thought the way that their concept was given to me, that they're connected to the Ford dealer, but then I found out that they're not. I've been paying them every month for my warranty. I have my payments on automatic pay. When there's no money in the bank, they call me. Otherwise, I tell them they have to wait because this is not my first priority.

After getting ProtectMyCar, I never had a problem with my car, other than getting trouble with the alternator. When my car had some problem, I took it to the shop. The Ford dealership explained to me that it's a used car that I had bought some years back. Submitting a claim with ProtectMyCar wasn't difficult with me, but it was difficult with the dealer. They had the problem finding somebody, but I told them, "Just count me in," but in no time did it go through.

It's not forever that I've been paying ProtectMyCar, but it's long enough. I remember them telling me that when I buy this warranty, I can transfer it if I'm ready to get rid of the car and sell it. The warranty seems like a timeshare that I have to stay with, and I can pass it on. But I'm not ready to get a new car. I'm taking the bus. So, I want to know what's the procedure in this case. That's one of the feedbacks that we as consumers need to know about. They didn't tell us what happens when I finish paying them. That's the only thing I'm questioning right now.

I have to call them and inquire more about the set-up. I'm not 16 anymore. I'm already up there in age. I need to get that thing corrected because otherwise what might happen is I can give my car to my daughter, and I still have to pay a bill for the warranty when I don't have a car, so I'm trying to eliminate that situation. If I have paid off for the car already, I don't want to have to pay for something forever. But other than that, they're fine.

Each policy lists in clear terms the components covered under the policy. For the most part, covered components are the most expensive to repair and the most likely to break down. Doing so balances the cost of the coverage with the protection most folks need. That is how we keep the coverage affordable and still provide excellent coverage.

And the guy who was handling it was giving me the runaround for a long time. He acted like he was really taking care of me, but I don't know what he was doing. And when I spoke with him, he said he already called the transmission place and they're taking care of it. But then he hadn't called them and then he advertently called me back thinking he was calling them to take care of it. He lied. I expressed my concerns and they sent me an email. They said I should be satisfied because of the amount of my warranty versus the amount they had to pay for the transmission.

The dealership said that ProtectMyCar was denying the coverage because we didn't have the proper coverage. But they said the dealership has never even sent them all the claim for the coverage. They just need to send in the claim then it would be covered. We went back to the dealership to tell them that and they finally sent it in 45 days later and ProtectMyCar paid it all. The supervisor at the dealership was fired for it. They eventually held our car for six months because they had to order the parts straight from Japan. ProtectMyCar handled it very well and we're very happy with it.

The warranty that the dealer tried to sell me with the car was hundreds of dollars and I had to pay $150 a month. I was able to get my car because my husband got his Social Security and we bought it with his back pay. I didn’t have money to pay that amount of money monthly to keep up the insurance. Protectmycar's rep talked to me and worked with me and got my thing down to $50. I thought that was really good and worked with it from there.

I called them once because the car dealer had my car for a month, and they were saying that the warranty company was not doing what they need to do. ProtectMyCar was cheaper than most extended warranty car companies that I've talked to, and I know that having the auto warranty from them was beneficial. Making payments for purchasing the warranty is easy because it's automatically removed from my bank account every month. When I submitted a claim one time, the young lady I talked to over the phone sounded like she's a little frustrated. I talked to her towards the evening time and it seemed like she had a long day. Then the dealership is the one who gives me most of what was covered and the limitations of what would be fixed underneath ProtectMyCar. I just had to wait the call from the dealership and they'll take care of everything.

It was a little frustrating though the first time I submitted a claim because ProtectMyCar informed me at the beginning that my car will be fully covered but they didn't explain that only certain things are covered on it so in my first claim, the coverage was limited. Then they sent me a booklet about their coverage. But having the warranty worked out better than what I normally would have paid for repairs and stuff. It helped out a lot better with getting things done.

When I hit around 50,000 miles, I got 20 or 30 letters in the mail. One of them said that they were General Motors so I called them up, but they were not affiliated with General Motors. And then I got a call from ProtectMyCar or Solace and I went with them and it worked. They had the same price and the same deal. I only had one claim to them and the experience was good. It took more than a month to get it done but the problem wasn't ProtectMyCar. The reason for that was ProtectMyCar needed copies of the service stuff, which was in Montana and I had moved to California. I called the dealer and he faxed them. I faxed them to ProtectMyCar but the guy who was processing the claims never received anything. Finally, I packed the documents up and mailed them to ProtectMyCar. As soon as they got the copies, they paid the claim and I was satisfied and very happy.

Making payments has been fine. The problem is I recently got a bill from ProtectMyCar and they wanted to charge me a $4 or a $6 fee. I called them up and asked if the payment was late. They said I made the payment, but they were now charging an extra fee. We talked about that and they got rid of the fee. They're also sending me bills which they don't need to do because I'm automatically paying them the same day every month. It's a waste of paper and I find it useless. I talked to them and they said they will stop sending, but that's not changed. Other than that, the service I got from the people that were dealing with me at ProtectMyCar was really right on top of things.

I chose ProtectMyCar since they were the cheapest compared to the other quotes I was getting. There were some issues at first with the claim submission as the guy who handled the claim was very rude to me and even to the people at the auto shop. I've been sending money for years and it was my first time ever to call in for a claim so I'm not trying to abuse the system, so I don't understand why he acted so nastily. Still, everybody else was pleasant and we resolved the issue eventually.

ProtectMyCar has been decent so far. However, some of the things that I thought were covered weren't. They said that unfortunately, the person that told me all of these stuff doesn't work there. I feel that they should really go over the policy with the customer when they sell it, let them know the things that are not covered, and let the customer agree to it. I also didn't like their rental car policy since I would have to pay before they'll even reimburse me because they don't have it set up yet. But my car wasn't at the shop that long for me to need a rental, so it was fine. Other than these, I can't really complain. They compensated me because they did the free oil changes. They pay for other parts and have pretty good customer service as well.

Then when I filed my claims, I did it over the phone because I like to know who I'm speaking with and that's something I could document. The rep I talked with was friendly and when I filed a claim for the water pump it went well. Everything overall was all right.

However, the other claim I filed frustrated me because my daughter needed a transmission and they said "Maybe she needed that once she got the car." But she already had the car for three years before she needed a transmission. They tried to put me through too much and said they needed the paperwork for when we bought the car which I don't have anymore since I bought the car for her straight out of high school. They didn't say that they needed the original paperwork when I bought the warranty. They only asked for them because of something else so that was a little discouraging. Also, I'm paying them every month but they didn't put in any limitations on it initially. And when I filed a claim, they got a limitation and all that. But since I didn't have the paperwork, the claim adjuster didn't come out and I paid for the transmission.

I made a claim for my 2006 Suzuki through ProtectMyCar. It was no problem. I called them up and they called the mechanic up and took care of it. They didn't take care of the transmission, I had to pay for the transmission because they need to put a part in there. Their payments are reasonable and they give me a proof that I paid.

When I submitted a claim with them, they checked to see what I was supposed to do like oil change and how the upkeep of the vehicle was then an agent got back in touch with me on it. It was a pretty good and easy process. Also, I'm an old man so I filed my claim on the phone and the reps I talked with were very courteous. They responded quickly and if they didn't do it then and there, they would give me a callback within a reasonable amount of time.

I also used the rental car benefits the last time because I had a transmission problem and the experience was very pleasant. I got a rent-a-car for three or four days until the service was done. Another thing I liked about them was they allowed me to take my vehicle to somebody else that I wanted to take it to. Most other places, you got to take it to where they want it done but with them, I just took it back to the Delaco I used to deal with. I have no regrets and I was never dissatisfied with them at all. I have recommended them to a friend.

ProtectMyCar called me after my initial warranty ran out on my truck. They explained the procedure and the way they handled it, the benefits and how much it would cost me and I took all that into factor. I like the way they talked and so I went with them. I had a couple of things done and I didn’t have any problems with submitting a claim to them. Everything went through. I take my car to the shop where I bought it at and they take care of all my car stuff. They let ProtectMyCar know what’s up and call them while I’m there and get it up, I pay my little deductible and I’m on my way. A couple of times there was wrong with it, I take my car to the shop in the morning and the shop would be calling me before I get to work in the afternoon. It's pretty quick.

Then ProtectMyCar called and told me that they didn’t get their payment. I told them that the money is in the bank. I then found out that my phone payment took their money out a week after they were supposed to and that’s how I got jammed up. This is why I'd rather pay the bill through the mail instead of through my account. I’ve done that to a lot of my bills now because I’m getting tired of a company not taking the money out on the day it's supposed to then something else comes out and I’m jammed up with not enough money to pay bills on time. I work 2:00 to 10:30 at a hospital and I couldn’t locate the number to call and I don’t have time to talk to anybody. But they’re a very good company to have. Hearing from a couple of others’ companies, everybody may need to be with them because they’re pretty solid people. I like doing business with them.

ProtectMyCar gave me one of the better deals so I got them for my warranty. Submitting a claim with them started out rocky since the rep said they wouldn't approve it because of some minor stuff with the oil change. I had my oil changed regularly and even got the most expensive oil for it. He had me go back and forth to get paperwork, so I submitted everything that I possibly could, and he stalled until the rent-a-car cost me $2,000. It took three weeks, and he wasn't going to approve the claim. I then went to the consumer protection people and had to call the attorney general and Better Business Bureau to give them a call. ProtectMyCar then called back immediately and approved the claim.

I was upset and didn't understand why the rep didn't approve it initially. I got the oil change, and he said I didn't do it to the manufacturer's specifications. When you get a certain amount of miles, you get the full synthetic, which makes the car run better and you don't have to get an oil change every 3,000 miles. So, I didn't know that they could get picky on the mileage as far as not approving the claims. Even the guys who fixed the engine told me it wasn't on my part. It probably was a defect in the engine because the engine had plenty of oil.

Also, they gave the repair shop just enough money to fix the engine, but besides it, I had to pay an extra $400 because the car sat in that shop for so long, and they had to get a new drum and also put a starter on it. Additionally, they didn't connect the radio and the remote start system doesn't work. Now, they told me to bring the car in for them to evaluate it from when they did the work. They were trying to say that they didn't do anything to the remote start, but they put a starter in, so most likely, they disconnected my remote start. The radio won't even come on, and I'm driving the car right now without it. Those two things are still pending, and ProtectMyCar says there was enough money to do everything and to put the car back like it was.

They presented to me this offer of $28 a month and that they will cover about 28% of my damages on the car. I signed up with them and I've been good ever since. Making payments to them was very easy.

I used it when I had some front end damage and I took it to my mechanic. I gave him the number. They faxed them over of what had to be done because some balances were bad. They had to get one of the rotors on the wheel. The bearings are bad and a few other things. It was a total of about $1000 of damage that was there in my car and ProtectMyCar paid 28% of the cost and then I used it for my oil change which is supposed to be free. Now my car is running great. Anytime I used ProtectMyCar they were there for me and I never had a problem. It was pleasant with them.

The salesman was very personable and the price was right. Plus, I have my payments auto-withdrawn and it was very easy and convenient. For the most part, the claims reps were friendly. However, claim submission was the hard part. Unfortunately, not long after I filed a claim, I had an incident where I had some catastrophic engine failure which was a little rough because it was so short after the policy had started. So, it took 90 days from the time the claim was put in until it was resolved, so that was much longer than I anticipated. The claims process was a little more difficult because of the circumstance, but I understood for the most part that the engine failure was just a weird coincidental thing.

The temporary loaner was out of pocket because the loaner itself came up to almost $1,000 because the repair was 90 days. The coverage on my plan is only good for 30 days. But because the claim took so long to process, they didn't cover all the additional time with the vehicle. But again, it wasn't my fault that it took that long so I was very disappointed. Nevertheless, I was very, very happy that I happened to get the policy when the engine failure happened a short time after. It's a good thing that I have my extended auto-warranty.

Thank you for your comments. We are also very glad that we were able to help you with that repair. It is unfortunate, but sometimes necessary, that repairs take longer to complete. The maximum rental car benefit is meant to help with average repairs. Additional rental benefits would only drive up the cost of the policy and that is something we do not want to do.

ProtectMyCar had good ratings when I looked them up and their price was fair. They also told me I could take my vehicle to a Mercedes-Benz place and they'd pay the labor rate, that meant a lot to me, because if I had a problem, I could get it fixed right. I had an '07 car with 39,000 miles on it and something went wrong with the trans. They put a used tranny and I didn't like that because I didn't know how many miles it had on. I had no choice, but I would've liked a newly rebuilt or a new trans in there instead of a used one. The car is fine, though. And the agent I worked with was good because when Mercedes-Benz tried to charge ProtectMyCar and charge me for the same thing, the agent told them they had to stop the monkey business. He told them that I don't have to pay for that and that they'll pay for it. As for paying the warranty, they just take the money out every month. It can't get easier than that.

The policy pays for covered repairs less the deductible. No policy, no matter who issues it, will cover 100% of a vehicle. Although we were able to repair the A/C compressor, saving you over $610, the steering item was not a covered component. As comprehensive as the policy is, future repairs will be to covered components. When we help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you protected yourself with this coverage.

Unfortunately, submitting a claim was a little bit less pleasant than I would have expected. One claim that I put in, they asked me for some receipts and service records. When I explained what service was done, they said that the service was inadequate by their standards but I did exactly what the manufacturer requested. I had to point them to the manufacturer’s website to go and download the information. It set me back a couple of days but we got it rectified and the repairs were finished. They leave a less than satisfying taste in our mouth for things like that and I’m not overly enthused with it. Overall, the claims process is extraordinarily difficult. When I called Protect My Car, they said they gave it. I was working and have school so it took me so much time and it was very hard for me. I almost canceled everything. Most of the time, they say they will help me with something, but most likely the help that they come up with does not make too much of a difference.

I had my Mini Cooper put in at full coverage because I wanted to see which one I'm going to receive better service. The Chrysler has a 20% discount. Protect My Car gave me exactly the same thing for my two cars. If the service that I'll be receiving is not good, I’m going to cancel all of them and then go to a different warranty that would give me a deal. I stayed because I didn't want to leave the company for a simple issue.

Submitting a claim was relatively crappy. The claims process itself was smooth but getting them to actually do something was next to impossible. First, they said nothing was covered, then they said that they wouldn't cover anything because they couldn't read the odometer. It took two weeks of battling with them until they approved at least a couple of the claims. I had to end up asking for supervisors and the whole nine yards. One guy I talked to was nice enough in the beginning and then became unhelpful and ultimately condescending. He was trying to get out of the contract which seems like their general approach. I had to threaten legal action and he hung up on me. I asked him for a supervisor which he initially refused but eventually had one call me back. I was on the phone with them for hours.

Also, it's always been a headache getting an estimate from them. For some reason, their fax machines never work. They should improve on their office and equipment as well. I wish I did more shopping before choosing this company.

ProtectMyCar contacted me, then I checked them out. They seemed legit, so I went with them. Submitting a claim has been very simple. When I take my car in, the companies that do the repairs are the ones who contact them. I've only had to use it twice and the first company told me it usually takes a while to get the claim in. But by the time they got off the phone with ProtectMyCar, they had sent it over and taken care of it that quickly. So I appreciate the way that ProtectMyCar took care of everything. That was no hassle for me at all. Also, the dealerships, car places, and people that worked on my cars had absolutely no problem collecting from them either. Making payments is very easy since I set up automatic deduction, so I don't even have to think about it. It's been an overall great experience and I've told people about them.

I needed a warranty on my vehicle and at the time, ProtectMyCar was the most reasonable one. Submitting a claim has been very convenient. My dealership did all the filing for me. The dealership always checks the vehicle and gives it a 10-Point inspection. They found something else that was going wrong with my vehicle. I called ProtectMyCar to ask them if it was covered and was with them on the phone for 10 minutes. They were accommodating and the rep looked it up to make sure everything was covered. He said yes and they went right on through and approved that.

Some things, they should have been done but weren’t because they weren't under the warranty. Other than that, my experience was all right. When I call for a warranty, they are always friendly and were helpful to the end.

Your policy lists every covered component. We make it clear what components are covered. We want you to know right up front and in writing exactly what is covered with no hidden or confusing terms. Some components are not covered and for a very good reason. If we covered every single component of your vehicle, the cost of the policy could easily be three or four times what you are paying for it.

We hope this helps you understand your policy a little better.

ProtectMyCar is a joke. When I first talked to the gentleman that sold me the stuff, he said it's exactly like the warranty I got from the dealership that just ran out, and I came to find out it was completely false. Then when they said, "Oh, well, we have to review what was said," they wouldn't let me get a copy of the voice recording of our conversation when they sold me the service. I remember telling the gentleman that if it's exactly like the warranty I had, I'll take it, but if it isn't, I don't want it. That's one problem.

The other problem is the rack and pinion, the steering portion of the vehicle, goes out. Their warranty covers the rack and pinion, the replacement of the part, and the waiver to put it on. But when you put in a rack and pinion on a vehicle, you have to realign it, and they're supposed to do that today. I understand it's a maintenance issue like changing oil. You obviously don't pay for that and you won't pay for the alignment, but when you pay for a part to get put on a vehicle that requires alignment to install a part properly, to me, it should be covered. It's a no-brainer. But of course, it wasn't. What if I couldn't afford alignment right then? If that was my one and only car and I didn't have the extra $120 to get the alignment done at that time, I'll be walking to work. I wouldn't recommend them.

ProtectMyCar promised to take care of whatever need I have based on any situation that may arise. However, I didn't like the service at all. Nothing that was in need of necessary repairs got repaired and I'm still stuck with the same problem. I brought my car to dealerships and they needed a claim from there, and bringing it there was the worst mistake I've ever made. I don't like the fact that my car is still broken. It's drivable but only if I constantly monitor my oil pressure. Something needs to be changed to prevent any further damage to my car. I can't afford to fix it, and that's the reason why I had the insurance.

Also, ProtectMyCar spent $2,500 to the dealership for something I really didn't care about to the dealership when it only cost about $500 to repair the problem. They said my plan didn't cover that problem when it's a vital part of the engine. They shouldn't have spent that kind of money on something I didn't need, and I never got the chance to call them and discuss it with them. They wanted to help, but for restriction purposes, they couldn't.

The repair shop usually does it and they have no complaints. I filed a claim a year ago and it was easy. The number to call is on the back of the book that we have. When I called in, someone answered the phone and they told me right away if it’s covered. Then, they sent the code over. I didn't have a lot of hassle for the car repairs. Additionally, I get the road side assistance, which is a little better than my towing company. However, it's a little difficult because we have to get the car rental in order to be reimbursed.

I live in what they call the hood in the urban part of the city and there's Mom & Pop Auto Body Shop mechanic where they give you a receipt for the work they do and just the price, you don’t get a full detailed one. My first claim was on transmission and Precision accepted all the receipts from Mom & Pop. They didn’t say there was a matter with it. Then something happened to my engine. I submitted the second claim to them and they denied it (I guess because it was a bigger claim). It was the worst experience of my life because they said they were gonna do something. Then the guy on the phone told me to tell my mechanic what to put on the receipt. And when I did that, they said that they can't accept because I added on the receipt. I don’t understand how they could deny something when they already accepted the exact same receipts I gave them for the first claim.

Then my car was in the shop for two months. I kept waiting for them to get it fixed and they only gave me a week for a rental car. I never know how they're gonna pay me for a rental car when the shop is waiting for them for a month and a half to send the part and to okay the claim. It was a very difficult and bad experience with them. And even after that, I still kept them but I'm suing them. They’ve cost me a lot of money. However, if you call somebody for roadside assistance, they'd come and that’s all right. But other than that, every time I need to deal with them, it's an unpleasant experience.

I told him that if it had something to do with the AC it should be covered. It was the compressor that went out so they ended up paying for it. But I had to pay for the shop to recover the Freon from the vehicle and then put it back in and I was out of my deductible.

ProtectMyCar had a good sales pitch and I researched about them. Hence, I decided to go with them. However I was very disappointed with what happened a couple of weeks ago. Initially, they gave me the miles where the extended warranty ends. When I took my car in and the mechanics sent the information to them, I wasn't aware that it wasn't covered anymore. No one notified me that I didn’t have the miles. It may not be their responsibility to let me know that I was getting close to the extended warranty limits, but that instance caught me off guard. I could have gotten the car taken in earlier. It really bothered me because the repair cost $2,600 and I didn't get a part of my refund.

They also didn't cover some of the stuff that I expected them to cover. I thought I had all engine parts were covered, but they're not. Just to be fair, they should make the customers aware early on that everything is not covered like the transmission or certain parts or labor. I also didn't like the fact that I would have to be reimbursed by sending them all the information back about the rental car. It was a lot of stuff.

I had a horrible experience with ProtectMyCar. My car was in the shop for almost two months. They refused to pay the claim for the transmission and I had to threaten them to repair the part that they say is covered on the insurance. I spoke with the supervisor and also taped the conversation where he cursed me out and hung up on me several times. He asked me for the oil changes and maintenance records on the car. I mentioned to him that in the contract, it states that I don’t have to show proof of maintenance until after I'm over 100,000 miles and my vehicle wasn’t reading 100,000 miles at that particular point. I sent over the records anyway. He said that there was a discrepancy in the reading for the miles. He made a huge deal about that to the point where I had to stop communicating with him.

Then, I called the dealership and told them that ProtectMyCar is refusing to cover the claim. I spoke with the manager at the dealership who stated that he would contact that supervisor and to have a one-on-one with them. Then, they agreed to go ahead and pay for it, but it was a long-drawn-out process. They also refused to pay another claim last year. It came to the point where a rep made up a story saying that I hit a sidewalk. It was bizarre. I asked him to replay that message and see that I've never said that I hit anything. I also used the rental car service and I ended up getting stuck with a $600 bill because they refused to cover that as well.

This company is a serious joke and I am very unsatisfied with their service. At the time that I got it, the rep that I spoke to was really good. She really sold me on the product. She tried to make it seem like I was getting a great deal and one that I couldn’t refuse, which it did sound like. I know the old statement, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is,” and it really was. And if I could do it all again with my $2700, I most definitely would. I learned a huge lesson that always going for cheap or the best price, I won't always get the best result.

I don't even know how or what things they're doing to the vehicle and what happened to it. They told me the battery's dead but I had a $150 Bosch battery and those things don't die. A couple of months after that, I took it to GMC to have a tune-up done on my vehicle. GMC saw that it was covered under the work that was previously done so there was no need for them to do that. So, when I had the issue with my transmission, I went to ProtectMyCar and that’s when a technicality came up. The first gentleman said he was going to honor my warranty then he called me at the last minute and said that he wasn’t going to honor it. The office denied the claim, which I felt wasn’t right.

I then contacted my lawyer who sent them a nice letter informing them about the little technicality. I got a call the next day asking how they can accommodate me. They gave me a new transmission and everything has been great ever since. They treated me like royalty. Also since then, I haven't had an issue with my car as far as dealing with the extended warranty. Sometimes I forget them because I have my own insurance. He said he brought it in every 3,000 miles and asked on oil change and other things. So as a fact that doing it with ProtectMyCar was a pain.

I thought that ProtectMyCar should watch who they decide to buy parts from. They bought a transmission and it took me over a month going back and forth because who they bought it for must have left it outside and it has gotten water. Then the place that’s gonna put it in for me had to order some more parts. They ought to start realizing it would have cost them less money if they got a complete rebuilt transmission instead of me having to wait that long because it costed $3,000 just to put it in. They finally got around to without parts. They also don’t pay enough for rental cars, when it’s not my fault. They said they pay $30 and the cheaper one here is $45 a day so that doesn’t do me good. But it’s easy to make payments with them.

The dealership tried to fix the other transmission but they couldn't. They said it costs more to try to fix it, including the parts that I needed, than to buy a new one. So they said they will try to get a new one but Precision want to put a rebuilt one in. I didn't like that and it bothers me because the truck only had 35,000 miles on it at the time because I don't go anywhere. And the other warranty had run out, so they wouldn't do anything. According to ProtectMyCar's contract, they're supposed to be honorable and they got to do the right thing. I don't think that putting a rebuilt transmission in a truck that got no more miles on it than that was the right thing. So I wasn't satisfied because it's not the same since they've redone it.

I've had my car since 2006 and after its warranty expired, I got ProtectMyCar because they offered me a good deal. I've had it for a long time. The only time I used the program for a major thing was when my car air conditioner wasn't working. Everything else on the car was the basic maintenance like oil change, and tires. ProtectMyCar gave a good service. They described the issue and I didn't have to say anything which was awesome. Everything's good and I don't have any complaints.

Submitting a claim to ProtectMyCar was a little arduous. Unfortunately, my car broke down on a Sunday and it took till that following Friday to finally get all the approvals and all the paperwork done to get them to actually start the work. The most difficult part is I had to do a lot of follow-up myself. I had to call the dealership and then no one called me back to let me know the dealership didn’t get the right thing even though I had talked to somebody. Other than that, the coverage is absolutely wonderful and my mechanic said once they got stuff settled, they were easy to work with.

I called him a couple of weeks after and he said he got paid on time. That was really satisfying for me that I didn’t have to follow up any more than that. He said it’s one of the best ones he’d seen. He was really surprised at how good it was. That made me feel really good that I had spent my money on a good company because I know there are a lot of horror stories out there about extended warranty companies and if anybody ever asks of a company, I would definitely recommend ProtectMyCar.

I thought I was doing a good thing when I had ProtectMyCar. Filing a claim to them was easy but I had to pay more than they had paid. When I was in the first company I took my car to, they were paying like $8-something and I felt that the company was too expensive. So, they sent me to Automation. Automation wants it a lot. I went there and I said to quote it as my transmission is. They only pay $500 and I had to pay the rest. But when I went to Automation, they were paying $1,400 but they didn’t keep the same terms and I’ve been trying to keep afloat. The payment changed when I took it to a cheaper place. Moreover, their benefits and perks can be only used twice.

Also, instead of us paying the company, we have to take the money that we owe the company. We had to send it to them and they had to make the payment for us. I pay all the time and it was $2,100. We had to send them $1,698 and they told us we can give the money to the people that were fixing my car. We had to wait until they receive the money before we could get back my car. So, we had to wait an extra seven days. It went through and then we could go and pick up our vehicle.

When I had a problem with my car, I went to the dealer, they created a work order for me and submitted it to ProtectMyCar. It wasn't too bad but they needed paperwork verifying some services for the thing that malfunctioned and that was a little bit of hard to find. Other than that, it was good. I gave the records to the dealer and they submitted it for me. Then they contacted me with a phone call and told me that it was accepted and they were going to get the work done.

I filed one claim with ProtectMyCar over the phone and wasn't really happy with it. My truck had a water pump that was going out so I got it towed over to Toyota to get it fixed. Toyota dealt with ProtectMyCar and I reckoned the insurance went to pay their part. However, changing a water pump means needing to change everything else on the inside too, and the insurance won't pay for that, I had to pay for it myself. It cost me $528 to get my truck fixed, more money out of my pocket than having it fixed myself as other palces said they could have fixed the truck for $400. Anyway I told that Toyota place that they'd never get my truck again since they don't fix the right thing. After repair, the vehicle comes out with something that hadn't been serviced right which the insurance probably wouldn't cover. Furthermore I'm fixing to call ProtectMyCar next week and cancel the warranty since it's not worth it.

ProtectMyCar is not what I thought it was gonna be. They just made the warranty sound a lot better than what it was when they called me. There was a lot of stuff in fine print that they didn't cover and they covered all the stuff that usually doesn't break down. And, the claims process was difficult. I have a diesel truck and when the injectors went out, I took it in, thinking it was under warranty but ProtectMyCar doesn't cover the injectors, just the fuel rail which is a different part of the injectors.

As far as I know, it's even paid off already. It's been over three years that I've been making payments on this warranty and they're still sending me bills. I feel I've been overcharged at this point. I need to find out what's going on. I'm really unhappy with them and if I could get a hold of them, I would. However it's difficult for me to talk to them during my working hours and by the time I get off work, they're closed. So my wife was trying to get hold of them but they won't answer questions for her.

The claims process of ProtectMyCar is not bad. It's neither too difficult nor too easy. But they take long because the last time when I brought my car to the dealer, they had it for a couple of days to wait for an answer from ProtectMyCar. Sometimes I try to reach the claims reps and they don't answer. When they finally answer I ask them if something is wrong with my car and the rep says they want to try to help me. But when I go to the dealer they say, "No, they can't pay for you. You have to pay from your pocket." Some stuff they pay for, and some they don't. I wasn't too happy because I pay for the coverage, but when I try to have something fixed, they can't fix it and I have to pay for the repair from my own pocket. It's not a good experience and I'm a little dissatisfied with them. I have to call them to see when my warranty is going to expire and when is the last day I have to pay. I don't want to use their service anymore.

If I didn’t bring the car to the right person, I would not get the satisfaction that I need. I went to the dealer to get my car done about three years ago, and it cost me money out of my pocket, a thousand dollars. So the claim with ProtectMyCar didn’t cover that particular thing. They had told me they cover anything electronic but they didn't.

When my transmission went out, I took it to a repair shop instead of the dealer. If the repair place wasn't persistent, I wouldn't get it done. They had to get the maintenance paperwork, bring it over to ProtectMyCar and wait for them to call back. It was a mess. The dealer wouldn’t go through all that as they were going to fall back on me.

The claims process was 100% difficult. It was very bad. When I bring my car to the dealer, it takes three days for them to get anything done. From the day I bought my car, they were the one to service it. So when I brought the paperwork from way back 2009, the repair place was astonished. They said they’d never seen anybody keep up their car like that. When he was talking to the gentleman at the claims department, he asked why they were giving me a hard time and that whatever happened to the car, it wasn’t because of bad maintenance. It was a shouting match with me on one end, and the repair place on the other talking to the claims rep.

The repair man did a good job. I went back there 10 days later for them to recheck and service the car. It’s over a year now and I haven't had a problem since. However, I know for a fact, if I didn’t take it to that particular shop, it wouldn't get done. I also paid the rental car for that period of time and I didn’t get reimbursement back. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied. I also never got a callback about it. And up to now, I still pay my bill on time. It comes out of my checking account every month the same time.

My water pump went out and at the time that I was quoted about the plan, ProtectMyCar told me to take it to the dealership. There was a misunderstanding and I took it to Ford dealership and all the prices were extremely high. First, they tried to make me pay $360 up front. I told them I couldn’t afford that because I only had $100 deductible and ProtectMyCar would take care of the rest. Ford kept quoting me different prices and I came to find out that there are certain things that ProtectMyCar didn’t cover.

When everything was taken care of, ProtectMyCar told me I could take it to anybody that was licensed, not just Ford. If I had known that, the prices and things would have been different and a little cheaper. I ended up having to pay $260 and they paid the rest. ProtectMyCar also covered the rental car that I needed because I work seven days a week with two jobs. I don’t have an off day so it’s important for me to keep my car running so I can get back and forth to both of my jobs. They also take the payment out of my checking account so it's easy to make payments.

Everything has been fine so far except that I’ve come to find out that the VIN that they sent me is wrong. I was speaking to insurance and when I put the VIN of the car in there, it didn’t match up. So I had to get my insurance papers and they had a different VIN. I just want them to send me a new car with the proper VIN on it. But other than that, I haven’t had any problems with the car because I keep it well maintained. I change the oil every three months and put some brand new tires. I try to keep it where it won't break down.

I make payments every month to ProtectMyCar for a warranty. I just have them take out the payment from my account. Actually, I wasn't impressed with them. I've had warranties through the dealership, not necessarily manufacturer warranty, but I've gotten extra warranties and they've been a lot easier to deal with. Pretty much, it's dropping off $800 and picking up the car when the repair is done.

These guys at ProtectMyCar fought me the whole way through when my "Check Engine" light came on. The problem was a sensor inside the transmission. They told me that if the sensor failed and caused the transmission to deteriorate, they weren't going to cover it. Luckily, it was just the sensor. So, they did cover the sensor, but I had to cover all the fluids, the gaskets, and a couple of other things that ended up costing me $200, which is better than what it could have been, but the entire thing was quite a hassle to deal with. They tried to tell me I was a liar and that I was trying to pull one on them. They were making the car rental benefits weird, too. I have an extra vehicle so I didn't need the rental car. But they were telling me I've got to pay for it upfront and they'd reimburse me for it. But I don't have the money for that, so that never happened.

Once I called in a claim, they told me I needed to take it to whoever’s looking after the car and see what the problem was. I always take it to a dealership and let them call ProtectMyCar to inform them what’s going on. Once the dealership does that, ProtectMyCar then goes in and takes care of it, and I pay my deductible and then the company sends their check. I use my American Express and they take off the payment every month so paying was not difficult. Paying the downpayment was not a problem too because I put it on American Express too. When I called ProtectMyCar to ask for information, they told me all the advantages of having a car protection. It was interesting, but I didn't purchase it for my car first. I purchased the warranty when my car was over 100,000 miles and it didn't have any warranty at all. When I placed my first claim, it took about two weeks to do the estimating and approval. But finally I got the problem resolved and everything was repaired, and I just have to pay my deductible. I finally got the protection plan that I needed, and that's what counts.

However, the dealer said that the adjuster wanted to take pictures of the truck after they gave the dealer the okay to go ahead and do the truck. Nevertheless, everything went well, including their 24-hour towing service.

The last time I tried to use ProtectMyCar, there was some kind of confusion. My insurance company called them and the way they took it was that ProtectMyCar was not as consistent as Precision, which was what I had before it was bought out. The way my warranty was set up, it was like a bumper-to-bumper, front-to-back deal and there were certain things they didn’t cover but most things they did. It was disheartening to me that something had changed and I wasn’t notified that something would be different. Before, my dealership would call in and Precision would respond, get a quote and tell them what they would do and were going to cover. Someone always called me back and talked to me personally. I liked the personal touch with it but I have not gotten that with ProtectMyCar yet.

Everything has been good except for the last incident. But the fault was mine for not reading the policy and not knowing exactly what was going on. The motor in my car went bad. I took the car to Ford and the Ford people said we need to change the whole motor block. Protect My Car said they will pay a certain amount and I'll have to pay the rest. I said, "I thought I had unlimited” and they said they only pay up until what the car itself is worth. The book value is only worth $3,000. If the car is worth $8,000, they would have paid the whole thing. I asked them to send me the money and I'll get the car fixed myself and they said they can't do that. They want to get a new motor. The motor is worth more than the car is worth, but they're not going to give me the money to go get a mechanic who can fix it for the amount that I know. The valve job could’ve been done for about $1,900. It’s what peeved me off.

The only thing I haven’t done yet is to turn in the paperwork for the car rental which is only for seven days, $35 a day. But it took three days between Ford and Protect My Car to tell me that this is what they're going to do with my car so all that rental was on me. No doggone, "Well this car is gonna take more than five days to fix."

So their rental plan basically is based on in and out service, and there is almost no repair work done in this kind of service. I'll have to call Protect My Car and they'll send somebody to find out if what I'm saying is true before the car gets started. If the mechanic at Ford, which is not some local shady mechanic, tells me that the car is bad, why does Protect My Car need to send an inspector out? Because Ford will cheat them? Then they'll tell them, “Well, we want you to pull the oil pads so we could see if they need any filing.” All of that takes time. All that time is me out of a car and renting somebody else’s because they don’t believe Ford. This was in the policy and I missed it.

The claims process is neither easy nor hard, but they put me through a bunch of stupid changes to get it done. But I kept the policy because anything that goes wrong with this car, no matter how small, I will get it fixed. Protect My Car will do it. They forgot to put the $100 deductible on the policy so I don’t have it. That means everything other than the motor change itself will 99% of the time be less than what the car is worth. The monthly payment’s only $60 something, so that’s not too bad.

Thanks for your comments. We are happy to assist you with your concerns. The policy pays up to the NADA value of the vehicle for each repair. While you may always elect to pay the difference, we are required to pay the shop directly. That is why we could not send you the benefits directly. We waived your deductible to further assist you .This one repair alone paid out more than four times the premiums paid in and we are glad to have helped you so much.

ProtectMyCar seemed to have a decent price. I looked over all the paperwork and thought it covered everything. I was worried about my Volkswagen because I knew that car can get expensive. However, my most recent claim has been frustrating. They took way too long as my car was out there for over two weeks. Then they answered that they weren't going to cover it. At the time, they wanted to claim that it was a bolt or a chain that broke the bolt instead of the bolt that broke the chain. According to the mechanic, there's no way to know which one broke which and so they chose to believe whatever one that didn’t cost them as much. They only covered a very small amount of the problem. I was disappointed. They also were supposed to reimburse us for the roadside towing but they never did.

My warranty had expired on my car and when I talked to ProtectMyCar, I had a very good conversation with the sales rep. The first claim I had was a little shaky. I had to wait for them to send somebody out to look at my engine. I was paying for it, not running a scam and they all have a history of my records. I didn’t like that it took them maybe a week for a representative to come out and look at it. Once the rep came out, we still went back-and-forth with it, but they ended up taking care of it. Once they’d done that, we’ve had a great relationship since then. They came through for me, so I said to myself I will never let these guys go.

Making payments is very easy because I had it being deducted out of my account every month. It’s very easy to acquire an auto protection plan through them. They are all on point even if they have various names which I appreciate very much. If there’s any improvement that needs to be done, it's that better communication helps out a whole lot, and the reps taking claims could be a bit more sympathetic to the person that has put one in.

I chose ProtectMyCar because their price was right and affordable for me in terms of making the payments - I didn't have to pay it all at once. I had one claim for the motor pump, but I was not satisfied with the answer and I ended up paying. My car was a recall from the transmission and they put a new transmission and radiator. They told me that our time changed also. I told them that the water pump was under the warranty but ProtectMyCar denied the claim because it wasn't falling apart completely. I fought back and forth but I ended up paying for the $450 myself.

However, they did pay for the alternator because it was bad, so it wasn't difficult. The only difficulty was that they are in Florida and there is a time difference. No one could give me a rental car as well so I have to wait and live two days without a car until I got a response. I take good care of my car and I don't have any other problems than the tires, shocks, and battery, which are not under the warranty. I'm still paying for the warranty and nothing has happened to my car again so far. I don't have any experience that's really bad over and over so I'd still recommend this warranty company.

One time, they set me up with different payments so that I could afford to pay them monthly payments where I can pay them by a down payment or a monthly installment payment fee. I sent somebody my papers and I asked them to pull payments directly out of my account and there have been no problems with the purchase of the warranty.

ProtectMyCar did good with my claims up till the past three months ago where they gave me a bad deal. They found tools on my car and I had to have $50 out of my pocket even though I had pictures of everything to show them that it wasn’t my fault and I shouldn’t have paid it. They shot me down on something that they know they were wrong with me and I would still want to go to court over that. Another thing I can’t understand is I can never talk to somebody directly to serve papers to and so that was a real bad experience. There’s something wrong somewhere. I even have never used their 24/7 roadside assistance, car rental benefits or maintenance perks. Overall, the claims process was pretty good but I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody else after what they did to me. I don’t want anybody to go through the experience where after I spent all the money and then they deny the claims like that.

I’ve been with ProtectMyCar for maybe a couple of years. The process is sometimes good and sometimes bad. When put my car in the shop, they didn’t pay for a lot of things. They told me that the parts were not in the contract. That’s what I wasn’t told. They told me to read the booklet they gave me, that they showed me those. I had to come right out of my pocket with some money.

The dealership feels the same way that PRotectMycar is not a good company. For one thing, after the dealer put the trans in, they wouldn’t even give me a wheel alignment. I had to pay for a wheel alignment, gasket, oil, and seal. I had to pay for all of that because it’s not in the contract. The thing is, when they put the trans in, I feel they should’ve covered the cost of whatever the trans needs. If it needs fluid, put the fluid in it. That car is not going anywhere without any seal. If the car needs a new gasket, Protect ought to pay for it. I shouldn’t have to pay for that as I paid for a warranty. The warranty covers certain things and I'm paying so much.

The road assistance is all right but the renting the car isn't. They got me seven days to rent my car but it took them more than seven days to fix the car and I have to be without a car or have to pay for rental. It ain’t worth a damn. They'd rather have my money and nothing go wrong. That means that money is gone from me. Because of what happened, I would never use them again.

I looked at several providers as I wanted a company that would say it’s a new car warranty from bumper to bumper and they’ll cover all the stuff. ProtectMyCar lied to me. Each claim I've done, they've tried not to pay it at all. It’s disgusting. When I call in for a claim, it's some underwriter and has nothing to do with their company. They would not even forward me over to the main company and I don't have that number. It’s ridiculous.

The salesman said it was a new car warranty from bumper to bumper and the claims rep said that can’t be. I had to keep pulling name tags until I finally got a hold of somebody at their consumer affairs office. The lady went back to my file, pulled the tape up and listened to the salesman tell me it's a bumper to bumper new car warranty. So they paid it. That's what I signed up for and they ain't cheap.

We had another claim and for three days we fought with them. They finally came back and said they were going to fix it. Then a guy calls me saying they’re not going to pay for any more of those stuff. They paid this last time but again, they wouldn't pay the rate to the Mercedes dealer so I had to pay the difference to the shop. That $100 deductible I had wasn't $100. It's several hundred dollars deductible because the Mercedes place says they’re not doing it for $50 an hour. This time, the guy was so mad that when they fixed it, they made sure that they got remanufactured parts off of some secondary list and sent those parts to the Mercedes dealer. At which time, the Mercedes dealer let me know that they’re installing but not guaranteeing nothing.

I also wanted to use the road assistance but I could not. They would only tow the car 15 miles to the nearest shop and the dealer is 30 miles away. It was going to cost me an additional $200 to get it towed to the dealer. I have towing insurance through USAA and got them to move it for me. Then, the rep called me back to say I only got two days for a rental car but, they had my car for two weeks. They made sure the expensive parts aren't covered. It’s been a terrible experience and I would never recommend ProtectMyCar to anybody ever. I can't pull away because they got a little deal in there that says if I cancel it out, because they've already paid that money out, I won't get any refund because they've already paid money out to my program.
