I went to Nissan, where I get my car serviced, and they told me that I needed to get a transmission. So I went to put in my claim with Protect My Car, and it took me about two weeks to get my car fixed because I couldn't get it approved. They were gonna send somebody out to do a check, the same check that Nissan had done to see if I really need a transmission. Then they said that they were not gonna use a transmission through Nissan, but they were gonna send me one which took a little longer.
I'm only authorized to rent a car for seven days, and I end up not getting one at all because it took too long for me to even get approved. If I would've gotten the transmission through Nissan, I would've had a year warranty on the transmission. So right now, I don't have any warranty with Nissan and I feel like I'm out there in the wind, that if something happens and I have to get back and get another transmission, I'm gonna have to wait again.
I wasn't too pleased with this second go around with getting service. Once I got my transmission done, I still heard some knocking and found that it was my bearing. I asked the guy that checked to see if it was covered and Protect My Car said it wasn't, but he said they were rude and I apologized for that on their behalf even if I didn't have anything to do with that. Also, it didn't make any sense for them to send a guy out to use the Nissan machine to check to see if I need a transmission but the guy said that it was their policy.
They had to get my report because I was trying to get my car serviced and the guy asked me why I got my transmission done first back in May of last year. I told them that I was doing a regular service and Nissan said that I had to get it done which was in the book. He said that I didn't need to get it done based on the fine print so I told them that I went by what Nissan told me and I wasn't at a shady mechanic. I also got my air conditioner done last year and didn't have any problems with them. They were very helpful and everybody was very nice so I thought this transaction will be just the same.

Also, we warrant the parts we provide for twelve months or 12,000 miles, so you have that protection as well.
We were happy to have helped with both the A/C and transmission repair. It did save you over $2,500, almost three times your investment in the policy. Best of all, we are still here to help you when you again need the help.
Thanks again for your comments.

I like the fact that ProtectMyCar covers the whole car. Submitting a claim is pretty easy. I call and they tell me to get with my mechanic and have my mechanic call them, and then I agree to the work and pay my share. However, I'm still having problems with the claim on my transmission and I'm wondering if it's a bad transmission. The company went and found another transmission. I paid for half of it and let the mechanic put it in. Then there was supposed to be another part that went wrong, so I paid for half of it and got the mechanic to put it in. It's frustrating right now and I can't keep paying and paying. Other than that, I've had a good experience with ProtectMyCar and I would recommend them to a friend.

I was trying to find companies before that would basically help me save money as well as do the things that need to be done for it, and I ended up with ProtectMyCar. They're awesome and I’ve been with them since 2015. I’ve had two different kinds of claims. The first one was paying so much of it and what the insurance will cover. But the one I have now is a lot better because even though it’s costing me a couple bucks cheaper, they’re splitting the bill in half. So whatever the bill comes out to, I only pay half of it. So, if it’s extremely expensive, I don’t have to come out with the whole balance.
I have my booklet and I do my reading, but I didn’t know that the company either helps or covers the expenses as far as the rental. I didn’t know any of that. So I had a rental for six days and I paid out of my pocket, in addition to the fees and everything that built up from the work that needed to be done. So now that I’m aware of that, I'll call them to see if they had my information as far as my receipts that I submitted on Friday. In summary, it's affordable, rewarding and very helpful.

Your policy does include towing, rental car benefits and 24/7 Roadside Assistance. We will get in touch to go over those detalis with you.

I was caught at a time where I started having problems with my Mercedes and ProtectMyCar seemed like a good idea at the time. They told me what the cost was and how much my monthly commitment to them would be. It sounded reasonable to me so I agreed. Filing a claim is not difficult and I normally do it over the phone. ProtectMyCar is a company that will purchase the parts and will negotiate labor cost with the repairer to bring the cost down. That was one thing that I didn't understand until I went to use them.
When I filed a claim, interactions with their reps were very good. They brought a couple of things to my attention. My car is very intricate and not everybody knows how to work on them. I had bad experiences in the past so I usually take my car to a specialist. But they were charging me double the rate for the parts and would not negotiate what the car people were trying to negotiate. When ProtectMyCar called me back I was told about the overcharging of parts and that they couldn't do any business with the specialist. In the end, I was offered $100 to go towards the cost that I had to pay for the car. All in all, it's been a positive experience.

We were very pleased to have helped you so much with the recent repair and look forward to doing so again when the need arises.

Having an auto warranty sounded like a really good idea and the guy sold me on getting one from ProtectMyCar. I set it up to be automatically withdrawn from my account every month. However, it was not explained very well. Their roadside assistance was terrible because they wanted to tow to a small engine repair shop at first and then I found out they will only pay for 10 miles. Also, it didn't cover trailers. Nevertheless, the rental coverage is okay - they said they will cover up to $30 a day for three days. Also, the maintenance deal was easy to use.
I have filed two claims with them over the phone. I had a motor blow up in Kansas and the original estimate from the Ford dealership was $8000 which was supposed to cover everything, including the water pump and plugs and exhaust manifold. The first thing that the company wanted to do was put a used motor in, but the Ford place wouldn't let them do that. So they ended up finding a cheaper motor with not even half the warranty and I still had to pay half of the original estimate. Then when I went to pick up my truck, I still had to pay for the new water pump, the exhaust manifold set and the spark plugs. They also still haven't settled the claim for the motor back in November of last year. I had to get a rental car and emailed them the receipt, but I haven't recovered any of that yet.

After doing some research on ProtectMyCar and compared them to several others that provided extended car warranty, they appeared and sounded to be the most professional and knowledgeable about their industry. When I was signing up for it, the monthly payments started off at a ridiculous rate and I told them there's no way I can do that. After about half an hour it went from $199 a month all the way down to $59.99 a month. I thought it was pretty interesting because of the fact that they were willing to come so far to sign on. I did it but truth be told, every month I see the $60 taken out, I cringe.
After three months of being enrolled with them, I had to use it once when I had to get work done on the underneath my car. There was a rattling noise that I couldn't figure out. When the service costs were sent over the Progressive, it was told that that was not covered. I followed up after the service center told me that it was declined because I didn't want to pay money out of pocket and I just knew I had this wonderful insurance company that was taking my extra coverage.
I ended up paying something close to $2,000 out of pocket for what was needed to be done. I was very disappointed. It was not made clear to me when I enrolled what was covered and what wasn’t. But since it is a used car, I do need to keep the coverage at this point. God forbid I cancel it today and next week something happened and shame on me. But I am desperately trying to sell my car and as soon as I do that will be the first thing I eliminate for sure. I advise anyone in my situation looking for extended warranty coverage, to do their homework, verify it 10 times over. I didn't do my due diligence. I would never recommend them to anyone.

The second claim was for replacement of brake pads and rotors. As you no doubt reviewed in your policy, the coverage is for mechanical breakdowns, not wear and tear items. The water pump is a covered component and that repair was handled under the manufacturer’s warranty.
Our policies are intended to help policyholders with mechanical breakdowns, which are almost always unexpected and very costly. Maintenance of a vehicle is something you can schedule and plan for financially. To keep the policy cost down and provide help for unexpected breakdowns, vehicle breakdown policies do not cover the cost of maintenance and wear and tear items. Adding these services to a policy would make the monthly cost of the policy too expensive for most people, especially for those on a budget.
We hope that upon reflection you will see how much you have already saved with the policy and that the decision to protect yourself with this policy was a good one that has saved you a great deal of money.
Again, thank you for your comments.

Submitting a claim to ProtectMyCar.com was difficult at first. After I filed my claim, they told me that because my motor had burned up in my pickup, I needed maintenance records of oil changes. Since I change my own oil, I never keep record. The only thing I ever write down is the mileage, so I know when to change it. And because of that, they wouldn’t fix my pickup. I don’t know if it was an oil leak because the water pump went out and caused the engine to overheat and burn up. I was frustrated at that point, and going to cancel it then they offered to pay half of the cost, which was better than nothing. I had to wait until I got my income tax and now, we’re in process of getting it fixed. Making payments for the warranty was easy. They just took it out of my account every month. The payments were at $67 and then dropped down to $55 when I went to the 50-50 plan. Paying the premium was the easy part. The hard part was getting my truck fixed.

One reason the policy requires proper maintenance and records is to avoid what you experienced. You changed your own oil but were unaware that the cooling system was not functioning and that there was a significant oil leak. Driving the vehicle in that condition caused the engine to burn up. Had you had a professional mechanic take a look it might have avoided that result.
Despite those issues, we agreed to help you with the cost of the repair rather than deny the claim outright. We are glad to have been able to assist you and encourage you to do proper maintenance on your vehicle and have the vehicle examined regularly by a professional mechanic to help avoid repairs such as this in the future.

I was trying to get quotes on extended warranty from other companies for my car, and I fell upon ProtectMyCar online. After I put my info in, I was contacted within two minutes. It was real quick. The sales representative was very informative and I had a good experience with him. He took and answered all my questions and gave me a price. He signed me up right away and gave me a number to call back to give him the exact mileage that I had on my odometer. Once I got home, I called back, gave him my mileage, and everything went well there.
Within two and a half months, I tried filing a claim because my engine went bad, and the claim ended up being rejected. Even though I had my receipts for oil changes for the past year, they wouldn't accept them. I tried going back to the shop and seeing if they had a record of it themselves, but this shop does handwritten receipts. They put the service, the price, the date, and the car info, but they didn't put the mileage when the car went in. That was three receipts, and one of them was done at a Honda City dealership at LA, where they had everything recorded on their computer, so they just gave me a printout. That one had the mileage, but the others didn't. They wrote down the mileage that they had on in-house records and signed off on it, but ProtectMyCar wouldn't accept them. I went back and forth three or four times.
Finally, I gave up and was rejected on that first claim. There was nothing that they told me they could do because I thought it was unfair as I had done everything that I had to. I had my oil changes and took the car to the shop, but they didn't put the mileage on the firsthand. So when I was having this problem, I went back to the shop and that's just how they do their receipts. After that, my car was at the shop and was done for almost two months. While it was at the shop where they told me I needed a new engine, they also found that the rack-and-pinion was bad, so the shop called ProtectMyCar to tell them that I was going to need a rack-and-pinion, and it was covered under the policy.
First, they rejected it saying I had to have the policy on enough time, which was already four months by then. Well, I haven't driven a thousand miles or more. Then I called back and argued that according to their policy, it says “either”, “or”. So, it's either the time goes by or I drive over a thousand miles in order for the policy to go into effect. They took a look at it and they ended up overturning that one. So they took care of me for the rack-and-pinion. I just had to pay the $100 deductible, and I did.
That's the only problem I had with them. After they rejected me there, I thought of cancelling. It doesn’t matter if it's a problem right away or a problem down the line, two or three years from now. They were supposed to take care of it. The only reason I kept them is because I've heard back from the shop within a couple of days and they told me that I was going to need the rack-and-pinion because it had a leak. And upon more research, that was going to cost about $1500 to $2000.
I'm sort of happy that the rack-and-pinion was taken care of, but that usually goes with the policy. That's what it's there for. But I wasn't satisfied about the engine because it wasn't cheap. It was a really expensive repair. It ended up costing me $8000. Maybe I didn't check with my records. I wasn't sure that they did put the mileage when I went and got the oil changes. But at the same time, it wasn't really my fault. Now that I know this, I'm going to make sure that all the info is right on the receipt and everything is legit. So if I ever have this problem again, I have it on my record straight enough.

I love ProtectMyCar. I thought they weren't for real but I see they're excellent service. There was another service I was trying to get in contact with but they wouldn't help me out. ProtectMyCar got in contact with me and helped. Submitting a claim goes well, I do it over the phone, and whatever I need help with they helped me out. They would take down my information, how many miles is on the car, what's the problem with the car, then they have to search and see who will help me to get my car fixed. They contact me back and let me know and tell me the portion I have to pay and their portion to pay. Then they tell me how long it's gonna take for the car to get back on the road and running. It's a great process. I've already used the towing once. Also, they've worked with me for the payments.

I needed a warranty on my car because my warranty had expired. Signing up for Protect My Car wasn't that bad. I was expecting it to be a standard warranty but it only covered a percentage. Nothing was explained to me when I first got it. My car only has 10,000 miles on me, which is pretty new, so I figured I should be good to go because I just put a transmission in it not that long ago. However, the people did the job wrong and I didn't have any idea about it until after so many miles.
Last time I needed a warranty, my transmission cost $2,100 and it was covered as an extended warranty. But this wasn't like that. The way the book was worded was very deceitful. They made it look like they're going to make sure that I get 25% off on whatever repairs are going to be done, meaning that the repairs would be covered and in addition, I am going to get 25% off. Had I known ahead of time, I would've gone out and tried to get a different warranty. It was a shock. I spent money on this transmission three times and it set me back. It’s still coming out of my credit card and it’s going to do so until the whole thing is paid up. I was not satisfied with it at all. There was also a big clash between me and the shop itself. We had a difficult time working together.

My experience with ProtectMyCar has been going okay so far. They’ve been generous and they got the work done on my car. I had to put a transmission in it right after I purchased it. They covered it but it took a while for them to get the parts in. When I took it to a transmission person, he was going to put some parts in it but ProtectMyCar said they couldn't do that and that they had to buy their own parts and put their own oil in it, which they did and it’s running fine now. However, I had to go into a big expense to have it put in. They covered all of it but I had to pay my portion of it.
ProtectMyCar was the only one that notified me at the time and it’s just by the goodness of God that I got it. Because right after that, this happened on my vehicle. I would have been out of a vehicle and I love the vehicle. And then after that, we had hail damage done out here and my car was hit hard. So I just paid it off. If it wouldn’t have been for the transmission, I would have probably got another vehicle. I wish though that I wouldn’t have to wait so long, because I was out of a vehicle for over a month. So I had to depend on my son, to have him let me borrow his car on weekends, because that was the only time I could get anything done.

I went online and filled out a Toco Warranty which was request for a quote. I got phone calls from several different companies making offers. When ProtectMyCar called, they explained the package, what the coverage and the cost were, the incentive they have at the time, and the benefits to veterans. Everything they mentioned seemed to be very good so I did a quick little Better Business Bureau review and it came back looking decent. Because of their cost and coverage, I decided to try them out. I have the Ambassador Elite warranty and it's a month-to-month warranty set up so I figured I cannot go wrong. It covers 50% of all the parts as well as all the labor for repairs.
Their reps are very courteous, polite, informative, and effective. When I called to inquire about submitting claims, the guy I spoke to explained the process and asked if I had any other questions. The claims process is simple. So far, the only thing that I've used is for a repair. We call the number then I show my card to the auto shop and ProtectMyCar calls and sets everything up with the shop. Everything's taken care of that way so it works well.
ProtectMyCar has been very responsive on the last repair I had on the vehicle. We called them and explained the repairs I needed to happen to the vehicle and they were okay as far as covering the portions that they were supposed to cover according to the warranty. Moreover, making payments for the warranty is also very simple. All I did is set up autopay through my bank and it automatically comes out. So, it's been a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend ProtectMyCar.

I talked with ProtectMyCar, and felt confident in using them, so I decided to go with them. I'm in the middle of a claim now where the engine went out in my Volkswagen and I had a complete engine replacement. I drove 36 miles with the new engine, and a couple of hours later, that engine went out too. I called them to pick it back up as I was on the side of a highway with my three-year-old during rush hour. And since it was still under warranty, the company that supplied the engine had to replace it and pay for the labor. It's still in the process, but dealing with them has been good.
The shop that I chose to work with was not so wonderful, but the claims reps have all been really positive. We had a weird thing happen where they weren't able to get a hold of the shop that I was working with, so I had to three-way call and work between them. Because of the personality of their rep that I was talking with who had answers to my questions, I went with ProtectMyCar. It was not too long after I subscribed to it that I had a claim. It was quite pricey and I was really happy that I had the warranty. During the process, there were seemingly a lot of conversations going back and forth between ProtectMyCar and the repair shop. And then there was some confusion at the end because it was billed to me. When I called the repair place, I told them, “Wait a minute. This was an agreed price on my aftermarket repair program. So, I think you need to be talking to them or look at your records.” And they never called me again and I haven’t received the bill, so perhaps it was all settled. I would definitely recommend them.

I have a BMW and got an auto warranty for it provided by ProtectMyCar. Making payments was very difficult at first because it was more than what I could afford and I am going through an unsettled divorce case. I wanted to cancel the whole thing but ProtectMyCar dropped my payments to something that was a little more reasonable and within what I could afford. So, it's not hard at all now.
Submitting claims wasn't difficult at all because BMW submitted on my behalf. I called and instead of me making the claim, BMW was willing to go ahead and do it, as they have done so many times for the other ones, because they were there working on the car and they had all the information. I had a claim that Protect My Car turned down. They said they covered the wire to the door actuator but they didn't. However, they covered the one for the high-pressure fuel pump.
The process gets a little bit lengthy. It took them two days to decide on whether they were going to pay for it or not because it has to be approved. I can understand that if it was a third party maintenance group maintaining the car but this is from BMW and they should have taken BMW's word. I wish that that was a little bit faster. But ProtectMyCar seem to be a pretty reliable company. Chances are I will not deal with them directly. I would have the servicing organization do it because they have more information about what is happening with the car and all the information that Protect My Car will need. But I'm grateful that they covered my situation so I can't say anything bad about that. Overall, my experience was very good.

I still don't know everything about it because I don't deal with it on a daily basis, but the price was fair. The payments for my warranty comes right out of my check, so I don't have to worry about it. It has been a very good service since I got it. It's easy to use because I don't deal with all that system. For repairs, I just give it to whoever will accept it. I used it once and had no problem with it. I didn’t have to do too much. I just gave it to Dodge, the dealership, and they did everything for me. The guy from ProtectMyCar sounded more legit than the other guys so I got a warranty from them. I was happy with it until I had to use it for my F-150. A part in the cylinder head broke and the dealership turned in the claim. ProtectMyCar processed the claim really fast but it felt to me like they were trying to get out of covering it by making up excuses. The part that was broken was covered, but since a non-covered part broke and caused that covered part to break, they said they couldn’t cover it. They ended up paying $500 and I had to pay $3,000 which is almost as much as what my plan for ProtectMyCar costs. I wasn’t happy about that and I almost canceled my policy but I'm gonna give it the benefit of the doubt just in case something else ever breaks and I may need them. Hopefully, the next time I use them, they will cover more. They did help out a little bit but I just felt that they could’ve helped out more.

I had a bunch of auto warranty companies calling me but they wouldn’t send info to me because I didn’t want to give up any personal information over the phone. ProtectMyCar was the only one who did so I used them. Then I blew the motor of my truck. I called the 24-hour tow assistance and they sent a vehicle out to pick up my truck and took it to the mechanic shop I use. The lower end of my motor was bad so I made a claim and they sent somebody out to look at it all the way from Florida. They saw that it was nothing that I’ve done because I had all my paperwork. And that’s what they wanted to verify, that I kept up my end of the maintenance, which I had. They looked into it to make sure my stuff was right. They told me to keep all my receipts which I did and everything went smooth. They educated me enough in case something happens. I was very satisfied with it.

I recently had my truck repaired and in accordance with my contract with USCG certain portions of the repairs should have been covered. My claim was denied. My truck has had a snow plow on it since I owned the truck and when I entered into the repair contract with USCG. While discussing my claim with a USCG representative he mentioned that my truck has a snow plow on it and that was a modification and that would be grounds for a claim denial. So now it became evident that they would deny any repair claim now and in the future due to their interpretations of a modification to a vehicle. So USCG should not have entered into any such contract with me if this is the case. They have accepted my payments and would continue to do so in the future. I consider this business operation fraudulent and a scam. I am reporting this as a warning to others so they will be cautious to enter into a repair contract with USCG.

ProtectMyCar seemed to be the most affordable warranty, so I went with them. Purchasing the warranty was easy. I called them up and talked to a representative. I filed one claim, took the vehicle in, and discovered it needed a new engine. I let ProtectMyCar know, but it was five months after the car being in the shop and me threatening to file a Better Business Bureau complaint because they weren't going to fix it that they finally sent an inspector out there. They put a used engine in there, and now the check engine light’s on and I'm about to have to file another claim that they'll probably try to get out of.
In addition, when I was getting ready to file a complaint because they were taking so long, they tried to tell me that I might not have gotten an oil change. They say, "We cover this, but we don't cover that," and that’s not what it says in the policy that they gave me. There are all kinds of disclaimers that go along with the warranty that they didn't tell me when I was buying it. I hope they deliver on the promise that they gave. I purchased the warranty to have peace of mind knowing that my daughter would be in a vehicle and that if it broke down whenever she goes to college, she could take it to any shop that she needed to and get it repaired. And, that’s not the case. It was a difficult experience.

My plan with ProtectMyCar comes with a free oil change in a year but the last claim we had was so bad. I filed a claim with ProtectMyCar. I got quoted one price but it was another price. It took a good little while for them to get the paperwork done and for me to get my car back. The timeframe when my car supposed to have been fixed and the part when it was supposed to be there took about two weeks when it should have been three days. The dealership went ahead and lend us their vehicle because we needed the vehicle bad. They put us in a van not at first, but later on. It was very aggravating.
I need to get my car done because my door won't slide on my van. Part of the parts would fit and then half of them wouldn't fit so they had to resend it. It was a mess. I'm trying to figure out what they cover and how long I will take. My husband needs to get to work every day and so he's just been driving it like it is. I was about to cancel the premium, but when I called, the guy talked me into keeping it. Even the dealership had a hard time getting their payment from ProtectMyCar. It's even a week after we already got our car back, they still hadn't received payment. Right now, I’m okay with it. I just want it to get the service I'm supposed to get and not get so frustrated dealing with everything.

I don't have any problems with ProtectMyCar and my experience with them has been pleasing, but I don't exactly know what's in the policy. Once I received my paperwork, I just scanned over it. There’s been a lot of times when a situation came up and I didn't think about ProtectMyCar. I had some brake work and rotors done which cost about $700. I don’t know if ProtectMyCar would have taken care of it or not because I don’t know if that’s in the coverage. However, one week before that, there was a problem. It took a lot of time to make an argument with the technician. We've been back and forth. What happened was the auto garage people denied to talk with ProtectMyCar. They said, "No, no. We are not wasting our time. You want to solve the problem, you solve your problem. We will not help you." They are working and they're tired. That's why I decided to terminate the contract at the time. I don't like the type of the dialogue in the repair shop. It should be easier and smooth. They have to make the easiest way for communication when talking with the technician.

But when it was time to pay, ProtectMyCar kept giving the dealership wrong credit card numbers that wasn’t going through, and none of them was approved. And it was only a few hundred dollars. Where are they getting these credit cards from if none of them are going through? They eventually got it right, but we had to keep calling them back and I had to sit there the next hour for them. I bought it at 60,000 miles and I have it until 120,000 at no cancellation fee if I want to cancel. I negotiated no deductible and I’m paying a monthly bill of $60. All in all, that was pretty good. However, it was a matter of what was covered by the warranty.
When I submitted claims, some things work out well and others do not. There are certain things that you would think would be covered, but they pick and choose little bits and pieces that they will cover and will not cover. I negotiated oil changes throughout the whole period. I was doing synthetic oil and all of a sudden, they’re not going to cover synthetic oil. Now, I got a notice that ProtectMyCar is raising the cost that I’m paying every month for it, which I’m not really happy with. When I left something on in my car and it wouldn't start, I used ProtectMyCar's 24/7 roadside assistance. They responded but it took a while for someone to get to my house. And then, all of a sudden, I found out that my transmission went out on my car, and I was having a little bit of problem with that. The first time, they sent a bad transmission. And it was taking a while, so I ended up having to pay for a rental car. And for that, they give you a certain amount a day, and that's what I used. They did reimburse some of my money back. Now my car has been in the shop because my camshaft went out. It was a used vehicle when I bought it and took the warranty with it. They take out $87 out of my checking account every month and it’s a covered part in the books. They said they're waiting on the information but when I faxed it to them they said they weren’t open, so I had to resend it. There’s supposed to be some other gesture to look at the vehicle before they cover the damage that’s done to my car. Then they asked have I been keeping up on my oil changes, and I said yes and faxed them the information.
The dealership called me today saying that they’re supposed to be sending somebody out to look at my car. The dealership said, “Well, your motor on the inside look like it’s clean to me. Looks like you’ve been keeping it. But your oil changes are up.” I said, “I know because I’ve got my engine flushed this summer.” ProtectMyCar had me drive to where I get my oil changes at. I decided to give ProtectMyCar a try and see how well they would do because I had another one and it didn't honor what was in the contract. So far, about 80% of everything that I have put in the shop for my car have been covered. However, I had a complaint with my air conditioner line. It's made of metal and they said it was a tube. That part there was going to the rear of the car. That had to be replaced for $200 and they would not pay for the line. I need the car fixed, so I can have the air. So I had to bite the bullet, pay for the part and get the air conditioner line fixed.
The other thing was when I was out in Tinley Park and I needed somebody to come fix my flat. They sent a person out and the guy attempts to loosen the bolts then his lug wrench broke. So he just left me and said that I have to call back and see if they can find somebody else to do it. So I called back the company and asked them if they could send someone to fix it and if they could bring a good jack so I could pop the lug nut. And the lady told me, “We came and tried to fix it once. So we didn’t send nobody back out because he couldn’t fix it.” The car sat there from 10:00 to 4:00 in the morning. There was one lady from my Farmers Insurance who hunted down somebody to give me some help. ProtectMyCar's roadside assistance didn’t do a good job there.
And then, a few of the guys got smart with me. I was like, "Look, I'm asking you to help me... It's not that I could go to somebody else...Why are you telling me in a smart alecky tone?” I'm reading my contract and I don’t understand where there’s a mix-up in the contract between fixing it or not fixing it. If the warranty won't pay for what they say it is then they’ll have to be more upfront about it instead of getting the warranty and then the other lady told me that my payment was not accepted. It's been over a week that I sent the second payment in. She went, “Oh, well, we don’t register until… It didn’t go into effect until that date.” And I'm like, “So that’s why you won't give me roadside assistance?” I'd have to call my own insurance company to get roadside assistance.
ProtectMyCar.com needs to do something with the roadside assistance part of it. If somebody calls in, at least send somebody back out if the one person couldn’t get the job done. That's the only thing that got me worried about. Nevertheless, when I take my car up to the GM dealer or to the other mechanic I use, they have paid. Plus, a couple things that was wrong that they went ahead and took care of, there was no hassle. But when I went to go the other route, it was different.

Not all components of a vehicle are covered under any policy, no matter who issues it. We believe our policies provide the greatest protect at the least cost. We regret that only a portion of the repair was covered but the savings to you on the covered repair have hopefully made up for that.

I understand that ProtectMyCar told me it was wear and tear but the mechanic said it wasn't. But because of the contract that I had, it didn't take care of the majority of it. I felt like the amount that they took care of and the amount that I paid wasn't equivalent. I was better off just saving $100 than having the insurance. They did what they said but the value of it wasn't worth it. I could've just done it myself. The insurance cost me a little more and it's just not fair. Thank you, too, for referring folks to us. We will treat them with just as much respect as we do you. Remember, if you referred someone to us who now has a policy we say thank you with a Visa gift card. Please let us know who you have referred so we can thank you this way

ProtectMyCar's sales rep gave me a pretty good package and that convinced me to go with them. Submitting the claim was easy and it was everything I expected - just pay the $100 deductible and everything else they'll handle. The only thing I would like is for ProtectMyCar to increase the mileage on the warranties.

Remember, the policy mileage helps keep the premiums within reason. Once you exceed that mileage, we can roll the coverage at your option to a new policy to continue your coverage.so you are always protected.

The lady who called was very nice in the way she talked to me and convinced me to go with ProtectMyCar. It sounded like a good idea. I’m paying $44 a month which is doable and it's automatically withdrawn. All these years I have only submitted one claim, which was for the repair on a window and it was handled very well. My mechanic called them up and they decided on what’s what so it was easy for me. ProtectMyCar only covered one part, but I’m extremely happy with my experience with them. Everybody’s been nice to me and if I have a question, they’d explain how it works.

I shouldn't have ever done it. The things that ProtectMyCar has paid for, I have ended up paying more out-of-pocket than they do. And my co-pays are equal to more than anything they have ever covered. I really wished I had looked into it further before I signed up because they got you. If you cancel, you have to pay out the contract.
It seemed like a good idea when I saw the list of things that they covered. I drive a lot of miles and it seemed cheaper to get ProtectMyCar than buying a new transmission. I haven't needed a transmission, but the other things I have needed, they pay for two parts, when there are seven components to the repair. I have to pay for the other five components in order to get the repair that they consider covered. It's not hard to file a claim because they tell you to take your car to the shop and have the mechanic call them. They discuss the repair directly with the mechanic and then they tell them what they'll cover and what they won't. The mechanic invariably, shake their head or drop their head because it's ridiculous not to cover fluids if you're covering a repair that includes something that has fluids. It looks too good and it is too good to be true.

There have been some times when there has been something that I thought ProtectMyCar should have covered but they didn’t. But for the most part, my experience has been okay because some of the stuff that has been wrong with the car that I thought that they would cover was directly affected by or has something to do with dislaunching that was going on, causing the car not to be at 100% at the time.

Our primary goal is to give every policy holder good peace of mind. Great rates, towing, rental car benefits, fast claims processing and the personal touch are just some of the ways we help provide good peace of mind. Although not all components are covered on all policies, the policy really does help protect your budget and costs.

I'm very dissatisfied with ProtectMyCar. When I first got the extended warranty, it was to my knowledge that it would cover all the electrical parts and the convertible top on my car. I specifically got it for that because my original warranty had expired. When I filed a claim recently for the heat and the air, and to try to go and get the convertible top fixed, it did cover the heat but they said that they don't fix convertible tops. Also, be aware of the small print because it only covers so many hours of labor, which they don't tell you that when you're getting the extended coverage. People want to know that it covers whatever they ask for, not how many hours the labor will cover, and I don't think that's fair.

ProtectMyCar called me and they had really low rates so I took it on. However, I just thought it was one plan and that it covered bumper to bumper. In the beginning, they fixed a couple of things that went wrong with my car. But then when I went back for other things that were clearly over $1,500, they said they weren't covered as they concern regular maintenance. They said that there were different prices where there were different levels of the plan. They should send out a written thing that shows everything that is covered and not just say it over the phone.

ProtectMyCar.com is not a good company. A couple situations have occurred since I have gotten the service. They told me if I'm buying the most full bumper-to-bumper warranty, I can get this and that. However, the five different times that I've had to call them, only one was covered. The other five were all denied. And I wasn't qualified for a rental either because based on the auto reports, it should be done in six hours. But they don’t have the part in stock when we take a car to the shop so it’s going to take longer than six hours. It could take six days to get the part in, have the diagnosis, etc. So far, it's been a headache. I regret getting it. But maybe one day, it'll come through.
Right now, I was about to call them because my car is not passing smog due to the oxygen sensors and catalytic converters but I'm the only owner of the vehicle. I went back and forth with the Chrysler Corporation and it's in the warranty who would cover it. Right now, I'm dealing with the Chrysler Corporation and they give me two different answers. The dealerships in the local area are giving me one answer, and the corporation in Detroit, Michigan is giving me another answer. But I cannot deal with them and so I took my vehicle into a dealership and had the service manager call Detroit, Michigan direct. And they said they'll talk to them and tell them about the situation. This is like a shot in the dark. It's a waste of time taking my car, and then they don’t approve it.

We got ProtectMyCar on my husband’s truck first in April and my car in October. They were very nice to us as far as covering the cars. I was hesitant at first and the representative said that I haven’t had anything done yet. As soon as I paid the monthly premium for the first month, they covered the car. The customer service reps have been polite but I’ve had some issues and in the end. My vehicle went to the shop and it had to go to a dealership so I got it 45 miles away. They ordered parts for it. I had to have several expensive ones so the customer service rep negotiated the prices and it would save me around $1,500 so I said, “Okay.” I also have to rent a car while mine’s in a shop and this rental place was 30 miles from my house.
ProtectMyCar would pay the three days of rental at $30 a day and that is all they would cover. I’d pay $40 plus $20 a day if something were to wreck that car. I wouldn’t have to worry about involving my insurance because the rental place would cover it. Then when the parts arrived, it didn’t fit my car. There was some mix-up somewhere and the parts place sent the wrong ones. The parts went back and the dealership ordered the right ones but it ended up taking two weeks. I got my car back, but the check engine light’s still on today so something’s not right even after putting the parts on.
I also had the rental car for two weeks. My rental bill ended up being over $700. The person who helped corresponded with me back and forth. I sent him the receipts then I waited because I wanted to get at least the $90 back in reimbursement that they owed me for three days. This was in October this past year. November came around and I still didn’t’ get the money. I finally got it then I got an email back from the person I was corresponding asking to send to him the rental reimbursement statement again because he misplaced it. I was about to explode but then I sent him again. They would have saved me $1,500 in parts. However, it cost me $700 for the rental vehicle plus the aggravation of the two weeks that my car was in the shop.
They also promised me that they would get me back $300 more because they would go to the vendor that shipped out the wrong parts so I waited and when I called them back, they said that the person who helped me who was nice and seemed like he was trying to help me in every way he knew how doesn’t work there anymore. I then called and spoke to the manager. He took it straight to the ProtectMyCar people because this was from USC&G that runs the contracts and stuff. He told me that he will file this and that I should get a check for $300. So I waited and got it on the 22nd of December. They were very good. I finally got it resolved although it took a couple of months.

I bought this insurance premium with ProtectMyCar sometime this year for my wife's car, a 2012 Dodge Journey. However sometime in November I had series of calls from ProtectMyCar that my December payment was unable to be processed. I humbly informed my caller that we do not intend to keep this service any longer as my wife had signed up for a brand new insurance policy based in our city of residence San Antonio Texas and not ProtectMyCar based out in Florida, and I further went ahead to request for a refund for the past 5 payments that was made to ProtectMyCar over the months.
To my surprise this lady was rude and very unprofessional with me on the phone, as well as she claimed the policy is nonrefundable contrary to the information that was obtainable on ProtectMyCar's website when I read it before signing up for the policy couple of months ago. I have tried settling this issue amicably but have always met a brick wall whenever I tried to reach out to someone from ProtectMyCar company. I hope my review here will make someone reason with me. If not I shall go through the legal way in getting my refund back. I hope someone reads this and make amends too. I had an '07 BMW 760 and a couple of warranty providers had turned me down, so I went with ProtectMyCar. They weren't ProtectMyCar yet when I started. They take the payments out which was easy. I went through some stuff with it and it is a whack-a-doodle system. We did it over the phone then fax the information. The mechanic would tell me how much something would cost then submit it to ProtectMyCar and then they'd magically find discounts. So my mechanic won't charge me as much, but I have to pay ProtectMyCar first and then they'd pay my mechanic.
This process is strange because I had something done to my car and they told me how much it would cost, but I had to pay a different amount of dollars. I was told that there were discounts but I never physically saw it. All I was told was I had to pay this much money and they saved me money by me paying this amount apparently. That could have been the price originally, but my mechanic, who I really trust, said that it was a good deal. The system is a little strange 'cause I had to call the office then they'd sent another number and then they send me to the final number. I like to use a different system because I don't quite understand the process and the way they laid it out was a little confusing.

I called the next day about the tow and I explained everything to the rep. He said everything should be fine and I should be reimbursed for the money I paid for the tow. But after that, I was told that I wasn't going to get refunded because I took the car home. I also got repairs done on my car. I had my debit card for the monthly fee but I used my aunt's credit card to make payments for my repairs. Two months later, she noticed on her billing statement that she was being charged by ProtectMyCar for the monthly fee. She ended up calling and asking me why I used her credit card when I had no permission to do so. I was embarrassed because I didn't put her credit card on file for them to use. I got pissed off about it so I called ProtectMyCar.
I've submitted all of the paperwork, invoices and everything on time but I still didn't get my money refunded. The only thing they were able to tell me was that they apologize for their mistake. Since then, I've been getting calls almost every other day from ProtectMyCar asking me for a new debit card to charge me the monthly fees. I told them that I didn't want to continue my service because putting a credit card on file without permission is unprofessional. It was a one-time charge and it was in the paperwork and they admitted that it was a mistake on their end yet they are still harassing me for payment. So, I had it towed to my house and then it had to be towed back to the auto repair shop the next day. I had a hard time with that.

We do work hard to make sure this protection is affordable for everyone’s budget. Unlimited towing would drive up the policy cost. They have good value for average repairs and maintenance, but complex repairs, they are slow. They are painfully slow to get back. It is as if they're trying to do the research themselves and find parts or find better deals the shop is offering to cut costs.
Nevertheless, payments with them are quick. I go and do all the work or go to the shop who does all the work and just submit it to ProtectMyCar. Just give your credit card number and you can pay them in just 30 seconds. I have used the free oil change perk from them. I always take it to a dealership and they said it was the easiest process for them to work with. They have never seen one that was that smooth. They called the 800 number and they were given a credit card and out the door. I am happy with them because they saved me some money. I've submitted a claim to ProtectMyCar and it was very painless. I haven’t had a problem. They’ve been there for me. And when making payments, the places that we’ve gone have taken care of them and then, we’ve just done what we’re supposed to do. We also have two maintenance perks from ProtectMyCar. We have one for my husband and one for mine, too.

ProtectMyCar seemed like a legitimate organization and not a fly-by-night type of place. I've talked to some people and they’ve said the company is pretty decent. I purchased the warranty from them and my payments was done all online and was easy. Thus far, the only issue I've had was when I had a water pump head that's leaking and it leaked into an electrical unit. ProtectMyCar paid for the replacement of the water pump, but they said they're not paying for the subsequent damage caused by the leak on the electrical which left me puzzled because the electrical would not have to have been replaced but for the leak.
The dealership tried to get the electrical covered. My dealership has dealt with them in the past so they were easy to get a hold of. However they couldn't get anywhere with ProtectMyCar. It wasn't a big ticket item, it was a couple hundred bucks. And since I didn’t want to stick around, I let them pay for the water pump and I covered the remaining. Hopefully the next time I'll use them, it'd be a little better.

Unfortunately, the other components were not covered under your policy.

I've been with ProtectMyCar for a long time now and I don't think their customer service was worth a darn. They didn't protect my car. There were several things happened to my car and one of them was the sensor. It was two sensors but they trimmed it to one and another one was the heat went out on it. There were three different things that happened. It cost me way over $1000 and they paid me $500 and something. They only gave me just a part of the money that they owe me. I wasn't happy with it but I took it and ran with it.

ProtectMyCar had a better rate and everybody's great. They take out my payments on a monthly basis. The first time I filed a claim, the lady at the radiator place said that ProtectMyCar wouldn’t give her a claim number for the job or something like that. She had to keep calling back before they finally gave it to her but my claim got taken care of and ProtectMyCar covered the majority of it.

So you will know, we issue the claim number only after a complete diagnostic and repair estimate has been received from the shop. That is just one more way we make sure the repair is done right and done completely the first time.

ProtectMyCar notified me that my warranty was due and gave me an alternative to purchase their plan. The customer service rep I spoke with was very knowledgeable with everything that came with the package. He was able to go in detail and explain to me any questions or concerns that I wasn't able to understand.
I took the vehicle to the dealership because I experienced some issues with it. ProtectMyCar spoke to the dealership and the dealership communicated back and forth with them, so they made the claim process as easy as possible. I didn’t have to contact the insurance. Since they were directly dealing with a reputable dealership, they went ahead and submitted a payment and it was paid that day. It made my experience quick, fast, and easy.
ProtectMyCar was able to negotiate lowering prices. The dealership was trying to have ProtectMyCar pay for top-dollar service. They had information on what the national average was for labor costs on doing certain repairs on the vehicle. They responded quickly and took care of the issue. However, they wanted to make sure that the work was not being overcharged.

I talked to several other auto warranty providers and it's hard to get a warranty insurance on the vehicle I have, a Range Rover. I went to ProtectMyCar and it was pretty easy to make payments for purchasing my extended auto warranty. I just put a down payment, and then the payments come out of my credit card account every month. I've submitted a couple of claims on my vehicle, and it's gotten to the shop and gotten fixed. I usually do submit my claim via phone and the claim reps were courteous and knew what they were talking about. They talked to the shop that my vehicle was in. I paid my deal and they paid theirs, and we're good. So far, everything's been good with ProtectMyCar, and that's the main thing. I just had a claim and that’s what pisses me off so much. On the card that they gave me to show whoever I take it to, it says "no deductible", which means I don’t pay anything. I purchased my vehicle from an auction and there was no telling what was wrong with it. When I was googling car warranty protection, ProtectMyCar was at the top of the list. The young lady that I spoke with gave me a lot of information and everything went smoothly. I then joined them and the down payment was expensive which was $250. I told the lady that I did not have even close to that amount on me and I told her what I had. She worked out some kind of plan to take from that amount and that was a good thing that she did. And since my vehicle was paid off, I pay $97 which is not bad.
But ProtectMyCar is a very hard company to work with. Every time I have something happen to my vehicle, it was very difficult for my auto mechanic guy to file a claim. They were taking their process time trying to figure out if they were going to approve the payment or not. I was steadily calling in, asking what was up with the process and why it was taking so long. I was spending money out of my own pocket in coverage for a rental. Most of the time, it took ProtectMyCar close to a week. Come to find out my rental was not going to be reimbursed.
My mechanic guy would tell me that he was not going to work on the vehicle until ProtectMyCar approves it because he wanted to know where he was getting his money from. ProtectMyCar told me that they had to verify this and call that, which was like an extra headache. Also, ProtectMyCar always asked me to send a whole bunch of documents. I told them that I have sent the documents in but they wanted me to resend them ‘cause they don’t have them on file. With my other company, there was never any of that. Overall, I would not refer ProtectMyCar because I had a bad experience dealing with them.

ProtectMyCar had the best literature out of all the other ones that were coming to me. In the beginning, submitting a claim was rough. I felt lied to and I was given misleading information. And then when they corrected the quote due to the quote the mechanic gave them, things were changed. I described a little bit about myself to the man and things became more honest and it was a better price for me the second time to pay for than what I was originally being charged.
It was fairly easy to use the program, but only for the process. Other than that, it was not easy at all because I had to come up with $1,500 upfront that I didn't have that I had to use credit cards for. In order for the company to pay the other half, I had to make a big payment. I would've just decided to go through the mechanic myself and made payments. So, as far as that goes, I'm really not satisfied with the policy. I did save a couple of hundred bucks, but now, I'm in the hole because I got it on credit cards.
I also did not use any road assistance because I didn't have money to pay on my own stuff upfront and then get reimbursed later. I expect a voucher before I do something free. But I gotta get the oil change, turn the receipt in, and then I get my money back. But if I don't have the money, then that's not free. In America, there's nothing free. There's always a gimmick and a catch behind everything.

Because when I bring my car to repair, I spend like almost $2,200 for just one time. That’s a big money on my pocket. However, when ProtectMyCar said I'll pay 50%, I noticed that it isn't. When I get the bill, it looks like I pay more than them. They said that’s how they work. With my previous warranty, I have to pay the 50% straight to the shop. I then could negotiate with the shop. But since I'm paying the 50% to ProtectMyCar, then I'm locked in and I don't have room to negotiate. But ProtectMyCar can negotiate to the shop. So I feel it’s not fair.

But when time came for Protectmycar to pay out, it took a little longer for them to get the dealership their information so I could pick up my vehicle. The dealership had gotten the car fixed the next day and I wasn’t able to pick my vehicle up until the day after because they say they were having difficulty getting a hold of the dealership to go ahead and pay. Having a warranty evens out how much I would spend in a year with my oil changes and I was also told that ProtectMyCar could help reduce my expenses on my repairs. The processing, payment, etc. were simple. They respond well, too. In fact, the place where I got my oil change said that ProtectMyCar was the easiest for them to deal with.
Submitting claims for both the oil change and the repairs were easy enough. I did the one for the repair over the phone and Ford got the clearance through ProtectMyCar to do a certain amount of work. However, I will try it one more time to see if I actually have any savings because for me, I didn't have any. They just raised the invoice price to make it look like it. I paid about $1800 to Ford and when I told them that I should have gotten some discount, they told me the invoice was $2200 so I saved some. I don't expect to save half but what I'm looking for is real savings. I have some mechanical experience so I have an idea what things should cost.
When I was recruited, they told me that if where I was at wouldn't lower the price, they would send my vehicle to another qualified dealer or qualified repair shop and get it done for less money. In paperwork, they said they could save me money each time. But that did not happen. I'm disappointed and I won't recommend them to anybody. I'm not looking for savings on paper. If I see real savings, I'd be more than happy to recommend them. If the price is low enough and if they can help offset some my repair bills, I'd be happy with it. But the only time I went in for repair, it looked like a scam to me. They need to work on being able to show the customer some real savings and not just making a deal with the service manager to up the invoice and make it look like the customer saved some money.

I needed a repair done for my air conditioning condenser and radiator, so I went to the mechanic. He called ProtectMyCar and faxed their estimate for the repair bill. ProtectMyCar said that they couldn’t do better on the pricing, but the mechanic felt it was very competitive. They had me transmit what would be my portion of the bill to ProtectMyCar and then they sent my part, plus their part to the mechanic.
I was apprehensive at the dealership because it was the first claim I ever had to file, and I didn’t realize that would be the process. I was transmitting a thousand dollars to a company that was not the one that I had originally signed up for - a company that I didn't know anything about. So I was nervous with all the fraud that’s going over the internet. But everything transpired like it was supposed to, so in the end, I was satisfied. I sent the money, then they right away sent the money to the mechanic and they did the repairs. There was no problem at the mechanic when I was actually having the repairs done.
Also, I was to get emergency road service with the plan that I purchased originally through Solace. The first time I had to use it, I called the number that was on my Solace card but they had no record of my contract with ProtectMyCar that had taken over by that time. The next business day, I called ProtectMyCar and they told me that in the transition from the Solace contract to ProtectMyCar, a lot of names had dropped off the list so they were gonna go through and double check their list of names to make sure that everybody that was under contract showed up in the database, so that if we need emergency road service, it could be handled. I did call them subsequently for their road service and they had me on the computer. They sent somebody out right away and everything was fine.

We do work hard to make sure your experience with Protect my Car is a positive one and that the whole process, from choosing the right coverage, to making sure it is comfortable on your budget, to fast and efficient claims service, towing and rental car benefits, gives you great peace of mind.

I was searching for a new warranty for my Volkswagen since mine was expiring and I was given the number from a friend, which I called. My original warranty covered everything on the car and there was no deductible. No matter what happened, it was covered up to 100,000 miles. I specifically told the salesperson that I had a lot of problems with my car and that I wanted a warranty that was going to be the same as what I had because of all the issues. However, what I was told over the phone is not what has transpired and I’m not happy with the plan that I have.
So I'm very dissatisfied with what I ended up getting compared to what I had, and I asked a lot of questions from timing belts to everything before I went and got the warranty because I was going to go with the company that I had and just get another 100,000 miles. I was told everything is covered and the only thing that I have is a $100 deductible. After speaking to the person who sold me the package, she basically told me one thing and it’s completely not what I was told. After I purchased the warranty, ProtectMyCar outsourced it to a third party. It says ProtectMyCar on the letterhead but the warranty plan on the outside says United Service Contract Group.
So needless to say, I paid more than $4,000 for the warranty and my mechanic has to argue with United Service Contract Group every time my car has a problem in order to get them to pay. They also want to send their own parts and won’t allow my mechanic to order parts directly like he normally would, which holds up the process. My car was in the shop for a month and a half and the entire fuel system had to be replaced. It was a month and a half of going back and forth with the car. I thought it was fixed but it wasn't because the company would supposedly cover only the parts that were under the warranty. My attorney looked at the warranty and the way it is written is horrible.
I could go after ProtectMyCar because I was sold something over the phone that was not what it was. I was told I had 30 days to look at the warranty, but when I had a repair, there says something like everyday fluid is not covered, like liquid that needs to be put back in the car. That was what was needed for the repair and they wouldn’t pay for the liquid. I had to pay for it. I said, "So you’re telling me if my transmission went, you’re not going to put transmission fluid in the car?" "Oh, no. we would put transmission fluid." This is such a garbage warranty. I understand why people get frustrated when they purchase a warranty that isn't a good one. The warranty I had before was wonderful, but ProtectMyCar is horrible. I should have went with the company that I had originally.

I made a head start and let them see what they could do. However, my car was still in the shop when my birthday (August) came because of communication problems involved between ProtectMyCar and the dealership. They were blaming one another and I had to rent the dealership's car, which was a big mess. They were going to make me pay this bill that was unbelievable for keeping it so long. I refused to pay it because they caused all these delays. It wasn't my fault. So, they've been working it out for me.
In addition, they found out that I had a really bad leak with my engine and they replaced it. However, I thought they would replace it with a new engine but they replaced it with a used one. Otherwise, their service is okay. Moreover, I have used their 24/7 road assistance, and it takes a while. I didn't know where the dude was coming from. They told me it'd be a good hour wait, and sometimes it could be more depending on the traffic. I happened to be in a crowded parking lot when I had locked my keys in the car. But from my first time ever doing it, I realized as soon as the Chevrolet people put my car in for the claim, ProtectMyCar took care of everything.
There was just this one instance that this one guy from ProtectMyCar was rude. The sticker that ProtectMyCar had on my car window said it was time for another oil change. So I went to this other Chevrolet place to get it done and when the girl from Chevrolet called in the claim, one of the gentlemen at ProtectMyCar was very rude to her. That's the only thing I didn't like. I spoke to that rude guy about it. I told him that he had spoken to her very nastily when I have spoken very highly of ProtectMyCar. But what the girl rep and I didn't know was that ProtectMyCar only does the oil change every time at a certain number of miles even if according to the sticker, I needed another oil change. Apart from that, it has been a great and helpful experience with ProtectMyCar.

I liked ProtectMyCar's pricing and what they had to offer. So far, we had three major bouts and they took good care of me. According to the repair shop I worked with, ProtectMyCar was awesome. They were very easy to talk to, to work with and get their bills paid. They were really good and what they covered was unbelievable. The last time, when my car went in for the heating, I still had to put in my claim for that for my rental car. They had told me it would be covered for that week and I still haven't done it for. But as far as road assistance, I get a better offer through AARP because they go real far. Otherwise, I love working with ProtectMyCar.
Payments are easy and very reasonable. I can afford $50 something a month. It keeps my 2008 Buick on the road and I have way over 100,000 miles. I'm very happy with ProtectMyCar and they are very credible. I appreciate that I can go to any certified shop and not just the manufacturer or the dealership. In fact, I've recommended them to quite a few friends already.

Filing a claim with ProtectMyCar has been difficult because we’ve been getting the runaround. We called a little earlier and asked for Marian who was supposed to give me a callback. My father has not gotten reimbursed for his rental car. I sent a receipt. He got reimbursed for one of them, but I sent a receipt for the next one he had to rent and ProtectMyCar have not sent him any and they charged him $90 for one day for that car. They only sent him a check for $30. Also, it takes a long time to get in touch with anyone and they don’t call back. We called Marian weeks ago and she hasn’t called back. We are unsatisfied and if we could find another place to go to, we would and we’d cancel our plan with them.

My husband told me about ProtectMyCar and we decided on them because the price was right. I had two different claims with them which the dealership filed for me. Both claims took longer than expected and I had a lot of miscommunication between ProtectMyCar and the car dealership. I wasn’t informed like I should have been. It’s very easy making payments for the extended auto warranty, though. I also had an oil change from them. My experience with ProtectMyCar was not bad, but it was time consuming. I’m very patient and I didn’t know who was supposed to call me and there was a lot of he said, she said. But overall, it was good service and they still got my car fixed. I was happy in the end.

ProtectMyCar have good customer service reps and the claims process was easy. I loved it because they initially paid what percentage they said they were going to pay, and it got done. However, from there it was downhill. My experience with them was awful. If they can give me all my money back, I'd be happy. When I initially joined, they ensured me that I can get a rental car, and I can do sorts of things. I had an incident that came up, and I took my car to the service shop. I asked the guy what work was going to be done. He was supposed to oversee it. When I took it to him, it was nice. We were all in agreement with everything, and three days later he said, it would be ready.
However, upon picking up the car, I found out that they stole my battery. Then, on top of that, before I even drove out of the parking lot, I noticed that some things were wrong with the car. It was so loud that I told them something they did was not right. They said they didn't do anything. Also, I told them the muffler wasn't connected. I was rushing to get back home since there was something happening. I was not thinking. I drove the car and not even a good four blocks to the gas station, the alternator light came on. It wasn't cutting off anything, so I decided to get to the car lot to wash it. Then it wouldn't crank up. When I got it jumped, I drove it to my residence and called somebody right up. I told them what I was seeing, and the guy told me to bring it the next day. But I had to go back and pick up my other car that I had left there in order to pick up this one.
When I got there, the guy was just closing out the shop. I told him that my car doesn't have my battery and how I explained to him that I knew my battery. It was an expensive battery. He said it might have been their workers. In addition, my friend was with me, and the guy was talking to him. I told him he has nothing to do with it and I was the one he needed to talk to. I told him again that it wasn't my battery. He then said he couldn't put it that day, to bring it back the next day, and they'd see what's wrong with it. I agreed.
I came back in, and I told him that he told me to bring the car back to him. He said he couldn't do it right then. I then said he had to call the police or I'd call them. I did. I was about to flip. I told him I needed a battery as we spoke. He said he couldn't put one in. He didn't have tools. I asked him why he got a shop that does major work and he couldn't take out a battery. So, he went next door to an automotive store which was 10 feet walking distance. He came back with the battery, and he put it in. I then said we needed to get the exhaust pipe they broke under. He said they didn't break it.
So, I went around and tried to get it straightened out myself. In the process, I found that the part couldn't be purchased at a parts place. It had to come from the dealership. I had to drive my car out of town with the noise. When I got the alternator, I found out the alternator had to be redone because of what they did. Luckily, I'm a mechanic and I know about cars. I knew what was wrong with it. So, the expenses were paid through me because I know what was wrong. When I told the guy from ProtectMyCar to call me, he never called back to inform me on all these stuff. He just called me that they are going to pick up the pipe that they shouldn't have broken and they're going to replace. It was a nightmare.
I was pissed off. ProtectMyCar told me not to leave them and that they saved me. They did not. The battery cost me $200 because of them. The pipe was $100 and it was $500 to put another alternator on this car. I could have disputed all the charges of everything, but I got things taken care of the professional way. I didn't dispute and I paid, and I let it go. I told them they gave me nightmares, and I was a paying customer. They were trying to explain, and I told them to look back at the files of the complaints and what I had going on. I told them I'd discontinue my contract. They didn't ask any more questions. The first impression is the best impression for me and I didn't get one. I'm fine now that I got everything taken care of. They weren't bad as far as the service they gave, but I wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

Other than that, I had no problem with the rental car or the maintenance on the car and having repairs done to the car. I received my rental until my car was repaired and that was good. When I spoke with the people at ProtectMyCar, they let me feel comfortable about what will be done if something was to go wrong or if I needed to use the service. The claims process was better than what I and the Lexus dealer had thought. The Lexus dealer said that he went into a lot of the insurances that they are offering me and ProtectMyCar is really not that good and they don't pay a lot of the claims. I used ProtectMyCar for a water pump and they did what they're supposed to do. I've only had to pay $30 over what the claim would not cover and I didn't find that to be a problem at all, along with the $100 deductible that was included and that was not a part of the payment from what I had to pay out of pocket myself for the claim.
I go to direct deposit for payments of my extended warranty. I let them take it out of my account every month and we both have no problem. I didn't think my experiences with ProtectMyCar were gonna be able to work as well and because they have, I continued. It's a month-to-month deal so I can cancel at any time but since they took care of the claim like they did with my water pump and anything else as soon as they get it covered, I have more assurance in the company now. I'll be a ProtectMyCar customer right now unless something changes my mind. They are over the top. I'd definitely recommend them to a friend and a family member.

ProtectMyCar called me and I was a little skeptical of this but I went on and got involved in it, it's been okay. The rep that I was talking to convinced me with what type of warranty they were and how it would work. I thought it was a scam but he told me it was not. I’ve only used them once, but it’s been pretty good. Submitting a claim was a slow process because I had to keep calling in and I had my car at the shop for about a week. I had to go to the shop and call ProtectMyCar and let them know my car’s been in there and they're charging me storage fees because I've been in contact with the shop.
Also, I didn't know that I had to send my portion of the money to ProtectMyCar in order for the claim to work. The rental car part was a little issue too because I’d be in Lancaster and I had to actually go rent a car and then they would reimburse me. They're nothing major but they're things that I didn't know. Other than that, everything was fine. Making payments is easy and not a big deal. I haven't used any of their perks though I know they're available, and as far as the warranty service, it's a pretty good deal. They help a lot with the payments and the parts.

Our Ambassador series of policies was created specifically for vehicle owners whose vehicles do not qualify for standard extended breakdown coverage, either because of excessive age or miles, or because of pre-existing conditions. The Ambassador family of policies is less expensive than a standard extended warranty and therefore appeal to those on a limited budget.
Ambassador policies provide a wide variety of important benefits including free oil changes, free tire rotations and a significant reduction in repair costs, anywhere up to 50% of the original estimate of repair costs based on the policy. They also come with towing, 24 /7 roadside assistance and rental car benefits.

My son was turning 16. I was gonna get him a car and I was searching on the internet on different warranty providers and I picked ProtectMyCar. It sounded good. The claim reps were pretty nice guys. But just like any other insurance company, they look for every reason in the world not to pay. They come out with, “You didn’t do this” or “You didn’t do that.” So as a result, I ended up having to pay half of it. Some of the fault wasn’t my son's but that’s why I got the insurance because I knew that he’s young and he didn’t know.
When ProtectMyCar did agree to pay half the price of the car, they said, “You have to mail us your half. Instead of giving the mechanic half the money right there, you got to send it to us and then we’ll pay him.” I was scared to death to do it but I did it ‘cause I needed to take care of the bill. And I called the mechanic and he said they paid it just like ProtectMyCar said they would.
I wanted to rent a car but I never got anywhere with them. They didn’t tell me what I needed to do, how to go about doing it and they just said, “We’ll pay $750 for it." I don’t remember how many days it was but I never did use it. I gave up on it ‘cause I don’t like aggravation and I ended up borrowing my father-in-law’s truck. Never again will I do anything like that. It would have been cheaper in the long run for me to put money up to the side and took care of it. It was a screw-up on my part. Once I’m through with ProtectMyCar, I’ll be through with them and any other person that comes to try and sell something.

The extended warranty ran out on my car in June of this year. I went on the internet looking for an extended warranty company and ProtectMyCar contacted me from my search. I needed some warranty because it's like insurance and it's better to have it and not need it than need it then not have it. They were pretty friendly, however, everybody is when they're trying to make money out of your pocket. I ended up having to make a claim and I was lucky that I had them. But there was a lot of back and forth, phone tags and trying to get information straightened out with the employees that I dealt with. The guys there didn't seem to be very well-trained. They couldn't even put my card information in there right and they had to do that a couple of different times.
Then I had the work done, authorized the payment to them on my account and it was almost a month later before the actual money was withdrawn from my account. I called the dealer in Rockland, California and asked them if everythings okay. I didn't want to end up having an adverse situation with the dealership because I didn't know for sure when I'd have to come back. And there was an issue of $350 that they said that the dealership had overcharged them. The dealership's hourly rate for maintenance and service is $180 an hour which I thought was a little extreme because I laughed when the lady told me that. I wouldn't have been so apt to chuckle about it had it not been for the fact that ProtectMyCar was going to absorb half of what I had to pay.
But after they renegotiated there was a $350 refund paid to a corporate credit card which was directed at Direct My Car. We're supposed to be splitting the negotiated price for the services rendered and half of that should be mine. However, I didn't get my refund. I got a message from the dealership about an invoice that was going to be coming in but ProtectMyCar told me to ignore it and that I didn't owe him any money. I ended up calling the dealership anyway and the invoice was in reference to a refund that was refunded back to ProtectMyCar.
My vehicle got repaired and everything was taken care of. They did take care of what they were supposed to. Hopefully what I'm spending out-of-pocket right now if I continued to stay with them would justify whatever happens. And with the vehicle being maintained as well as it has been prior to me having it, I'll try to make sure that I do what's necessary to make sure that it's right. Overall, I wasn't overwhelmed but I'm satisfied with ProtectMyCar.

My experience has been okay but it's not covering what I need it to cover on some of the things that I need done. When I had one thing done, they called me because they wanted my part of it. That's when I realized it was gonna be essentially the way it goes. But I believe in the long run they will help me with some things.
The maintenance perks like the oil change, I've done that twice and that went smoothly. I would explain to the man that all he had to do was call and ProtectMyCar would pay for it over the phone and he'll just have to wait a couple of days. And he said, "Yeah, no problem." But Firestone would not go at all. I called and ProtectMyCar said that Firestone cannot tell me that they will not take it. Then the rep on the phone said, "Put them on the phone. We'll pay for it right there." And I explained that to the man and he still said he wasn't gonna take it. So, that issue didn't get fixed and it went on and made it worse. I've been told it's the manifold exhaust, torque converters missing on both, and all of this could've been prevented if Firestone would've helped me.
Basically, Firestone told me that I could bring it down and they'd take a look at it. And I took it down there and let them take a look at it and they ended up coming out with a bill for $24.99. And I was like, "I didn't know I was gonna pay for anything. I thought it was supposed to be free or whatever." And they were like, "No."
So overall I didn't get to experience something good. If I would've been able to use it and make installments towards my part of the bill, then that would've been great. That would help a lot of people with low income. It would be great if it could be set up to where it's $30 a month. Everybody I've talked to has been great, it's just the money issue.

It's a big inconvenience for me because I have to rent a car twice. I had to put $200 on whole then they only pay $30 for the car and the rental car is $50 a day. The guy who sold me the policy didn't tell me in the beginning that if something went wrong with my car and had to take it to the shop, they need to come out and look at it and discuss the price that the shop is asking for. ProtectMyCar didn't want to pay for the steering column chosen for the car but they paid for this cheap one, which I am having problems with. The thing is still humming and doing what it shouldn't be doing. I needed to take my car back and it cost me $100 out-of-pocket and I don't think that's fair.
When I called and asked to speak to a supervisor I was told I couldn't speak to one but leave my name and number, one will call. No one ever called. They end up paying for one job but they would not pay for the other job and that was crazy to me. And I'm like, "Really?" Something was leaking from the engine and they refused to fix it. For that reason, I'm seriously considering to drop them out. Nothing is easy. I had to sacrifice for what I needed. They need to be honest upfront and let people know exactly what they're purchasing.

I've had 3 things that gone wrong with my car and ProtectMyCar took care only one of them. They said the first one was a pre-existing condition. The second time has something to do with my tail converter and they said, "We don't cover that." The third was actually an engine replacement. It took them a week to go back and forth on this and basically I had to turn them over to an insurance agent and a lawyer for them to do something. I continue paying the premiums as I'm going along here. I understand they're trying to get out from underneath whatever they don't have to pay.
I didn't have my car for two weeks while they were screwing around trying to figure out how to get out of it. The first guy that came out and check the car said because the defect wasn't showing up on the computer, that they wouldn't do anything until the car actually broke down. So when I got a hold of the supervisor, I told him, "This is what your guy said. He said that I need to drive the car until it breaks down, is that correct?" The guy said, "Well, I don't have his report right in front of me." I said, "That's what he told the dealership. And so I'm gonna go pick the car up. And when that car breaks down and it causes an accident because the engine freezes up, you guys better standby for one hell of a lawsuit." That did it. "Oh, we wouldn't want that" then they sent the guy down immediately and they took care of it.

I had something wrong with the front end of my car. I brought it in and called ProtectMyCar. Before that, almost a year now, I had something fixed. It was an emergency so I brought the car in. I was told ProtectMyCar would probably take care of it. I called them and told them about it, but I ended up paying for it myself which was like $1,500. I never heard back from them. But other than not getting paid for the first deal, my experience with ProtectMyCar has been okay.

I didn't know what to expect until I submit a claim to ProtectMyCar because I had a friend who told me that "No, they won't do this. They won't honor this or that." All that just went in my head. But when the incident did occur, ProtectMyCar processed the immediately. It was pretty fast so I was impressed. I spoke to the claim representative and they asked me for my account number and went through the process. Once they recognized everything was legit, they told me to just call them and then I'm covered within minutes. I was excited about it.
When they took my truck through the protection, they're supposed to provide a rental car. I ate that expense up because that's how satisfied I was with the services. I set the payment up to auto pay. They made that simple part too because I really work so much and have no time to pay a whole lot of things. And so they set that up for me extremely fast and there hasn't been any problem whatsoever.

Then I called and told them that I wanted to drop it because I couldn't afford. The guy talked me to hang on to it for a little while longer which was gonna cost $39.99 a month and it's not; it's $44. I'm bidding like here and there so I had a little bit of problems with money right now. I'm not gonna be able to get my car fixed and if it breaks down again, I'm gonna have to get rid of it because I can't afford. But it was a very good experience with ProtectMyCar.

I researched extended warranties because I was buying a used car. ProtectMyCar was one of the first that popped up. And they offered the best coverage for the best price. The first claim that I submitted, which was handled by the mechanic, was a little annoying because I had to submit paperwork to prove that I owned the car. That was strange because I, obviously, had bought the car and the warranty. I figured that they would have that stuff on file. So, the process took a little longer. I gave them what they needed then they had an inspector come out and inspect my car and approve the claim. But overall, it was a decent, reasonable and professional experience. Also, I have used the rental benefits because they give me five days of reimbursement for rental cars.

The actual information we needed to get was on the maintenance for your vehicle. That, and hiring a specialist to assess the repair, makes sure that the repair is done completely and correctly the first time. That's all part of not jus doing things right, but doing the right thing.

Claim submission was all through the service writer at the dealer. He called, told ProtectMyCar what was going on and they seemed to come fairly fast after he called them initially after the car was torn down. We had the parts fairly fast. My experience with ProtectMyCar has been good. Working with them seemed to go very easy and I would recommend them.

Submitting a claim with ProtectMyCar was difficult because once they started listing the things that were wrong with it, they said they didn't cover most of the stuff. Per my understanding, what’s underneath the hood, they were gonna fix but they didn’t. It had to come out of pocket. When I asked a certain question, they kept referring me to the book. I would like to get a better understanding of what is covered underneath the policy. But the roadside assistance was good and they came within good timing. I also got a rental the same day which was a plus.

Your policy is intended to cover mechanical breakdowns of the covered components, not replacement of wear and tear items or maintenance such as tune-ups, tires, batteries and the like. You have no doubt reviewed the policy and have seen that the policy lists each and every covered component. We want you to know right up front and in writing exactly what is covered with no hidden or confusing terms. Some components are not covered and for a very good reason. If we covered every single component of your vehicle, the cost of the policy could easily be three or four times what you are paying for it. Most people would be unable to afford such coverage. We cover the components that are most likely to break down and for the most part are the costliest to repair.
The purpose of the policy is to pay the cost of covered repairs less the deductible. No policy, no matter who issues it, will cover 100% of a vehicle. As your vehicle ages and more miles are added it will be more and more likely that future repairs will be required. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will be to covered components. When that occurs and we help with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage.
Again, thank you for your comments.

ProtectMyCar is a fabulous company and the experience has been awesome. I've really had a good response from them and it's been great. I have a 2005 truck that is lifted and has 140,000 miles on it. I'd gotten a phone call from one company and as soon as I said lifted, they were like "Oh, I'm sorry. We can't help you." The next time it was, "Oh, you have over 100,000 miles. I'm sorry, we can't help you." ProtectMyCar said, "Yup. No problem, no problem, no problem." I honestly thought it was too good to be true and it proved me wrong the first time I had to use it. Submitting a claim is super simple. I took it in for an oil change and it was covered. My oil changes are $200. The mechanics found a bunch of other problems. There was $2200 worth of work that needs to be done. They called up ProtectMyCar. They got back to them right away. It came by and I paid $1600 of the $2200.
At that point, I'd only given them $35 and it immediately saved me somewhere between $500 and $700. What I paid for with ProtectMyCar is free oil changes, free rental car and towing, if necessary. And a 25% discount on all major repairs. The really nice thing about ProtectMyCar is that it's accepted all across the United States except for two States and it's even accepted in Canada. I travel a lot. I'm driving to Houston for work and I live in California. So I've got coverage whatever I need if something happens anywhere I go.

So when I discovered ProtectMyCar, the guy gave me a great discount because I was a senior citizen. Plus he guaranteed that we could find a cheaper price and they would pay at least 25% of whatever the price was. Every time I submitted a claim through ProtectMyCar, they responded immediately. But I had to go through the company and the company basically did all the work. And the representative called me back to pay for it whatever I needed to pay for with the credit card. I had an auto warranty before that was really bad and didn't work for me. So then, I chose ProtectMyCar and they did a pretty good job. However, it was time-consuming. I submitted a claim on the phone and then they wanted all my maintenance records. So I gathered them all, and then it took them a couple of weeks before they decided they were gonna give me a transmission. Then it took them two more weeks again before they even sent the transmission. After that, the place where I had it, had gotten the transmission and installed it. And everything was fine. I also used the rental car benefits. ProtectMyCar reimbursed me for the rental car for about a couple of weeks.

Some repairs by their nature are time consuming to diagnose and repair correctly. We do depend on the diagnosis by the shop and have to wait until they have completed that diagnosis. On some occasions, we do hire our own specialists for an independent inspection.
In order to get a proper and complete diagnosis of the problems we hire at our expense a specialist to take a look at the automobile and give us an independent diagnosis. As we are sure you will agree, fixing only a part of the problem, or the wrong problem, could cost you a lot of lost time and trouble. It was well worth spending this time to make sure the repair was done right the first time.
We are glad we were able to get the repair done for you and do regret the additional time it took to get it done right the first time.

I had just bought a warranty that was about to run out on a used vehicle I bought so I looked for another. Once I looked at the package of ProtectMyCar, I was pleased with it for the price compared to what I was paying. I've used ProtectMyCar three or four times already and it's been a good experience. Submitting a claim is easy overall though I'd have to get involved in between the provider, the mechanic and ProtectMyCar because sometimes the wrong number would be called and I would have to get to the claim to make sure the mechanic is talking to the right person. Other than that, it is pretty much flawless.
It's easy to make my payments for the warranty. They also reimburse me for the cost of the oil even if I change my own oil which is a little unique. Looking at the age of my vehicle, I can't get a full warranty but my current one covers the labor cost so I'm satisfied with that 25%. I told my brother about ProtectMyCar and he purchased a plan for his vehicle.

Then when I went to my dealership to use it for the first time, they'd never even heard of it. I said, “Here’s the claim number, call them up and see what you need.” They did and it worked. Now anytime I bring it in for repair they call ProtectMyCar up.
Submitting a claim at ProtectMyCar was very easy. I just call them up, get a claim number and the dealership calls them. I gave them the claim number and the bill was sent directly to them. I don't like the way that ProtectMyCar took so long to get the claims process done. The bill was $1,042. I had to use my girlfriend's credit card and the payment had to go into increments of $500. The garage was giving problems and they wanted the money. They thought that I hadn't given the money but I did. My girlfriend had to put it all down, but I don't know what the $500 increments were about. The bank wouldn't let it go higher than that. I put all the money in there but they wouldn't let it go. If that was the case, I would've gone down there and gave them the $1,042 myself.
I was supposed to pay ProtectMyCar but I don't like having money on my debit cards. I've been having problems, so I told the lady that called me that I was waiting on my debit card so I could put some money on it because somebody's been getting my information over the phone. So I like to put the money on it the day that they're gonna take it out. I got about five different cards here and none of them are any good because they've all been compromised.
ProtectMyCar is also a little expensive. With the other company I had, I was paying $50 a month but I had everything with them that ProtectMyCar had and all I had to do was pay them $600 and they covered everything else. I'd rather pay the extra $5 and have the extras but it was a fast decision and I didn't think it through. There are also other companies that I go online and they're willing to pay 50% of the labor and the parts and it's only about the same price. But I stood with ProtectMyCar and I'm going to stay with them a little longer to see how they are. If things go like they did last time, I'm going to drop them. Every company is good when it comes to taking money, but when it comes to fixing things and it's time for them to pay up, they always give people a hard time.

We do regret that the repair time was extended due to your bank's restrictions on your account. we are always happy to work with you to make sure that the repair costs are not just minimized, but comfortable on your budget. We re sure your realize that the delay was due to the banking issue you were having and not because of the policy or the repair shop.
Also, while you may have had a previous policy that helped you, those types of policies are generally unavailable for vehicles whose mileage exceeds 150 thousand miles, as your does.
The Ambassador series of policies was created to help folks with older higher mileage cars. Ambassador policies provide a wide variety of important benefits including free oil changes, free tire rotations and a significant reduction in repair costs, anywhere up to 45% of the original estimate of repair costs. They also come with towing, 24 /7 roadside assistance and rental car benefits.

I bought a vehicle and didn’t have an extended warranty on it. I went online and ProtectMyCar was the first one I got. I called to check the price and everything on it and the people at ProtectMyCar were really helpful. They wanted a $250 down payment and I told them I couldn’t afford it, so they did some numbers and said that they could get it down to $149. I then went with them. They were really good at working with me on my down payment.
The first time I submitted a claim was when the transmission on my van went out. They’ve been really helpful and in fact, they’ve been excellent through the whole thing. I submitted the claim on the phone and the guy that I spoke with, Ron, was really helpful and very apologetic about having to take so many times to get the right transmission in my car. I went back and forth with him a lot on the issue with the first, second and third transmissions that weren't good. This is the fourth transmission that ProtectMyCar put in. I had issues with them, but in the end, everything worked out fine. I haven’t had any more problems with it.
They worked with me on all that stuff and put me in a rental car and were really good. I’m a single mom with three kids and I have to have my vehicle to work. ProtectMyCar went as far as giving me another week and a half on my rental car because of the time it took to fix the transmission. On the fourth time, they didn't go with ATech Transmission, the transmission people they were going with before. They went to the dealer and got me a new transmission because the first three were bad transmissions.
Moreover, I used the roadside assistance when my car broke down on me for the first time in August. They were there within a couple of hours and picked up my vehicle at my job site where I was and took it to David Stanley, the service department that I requested they take it to. They were wonderful, too. They had a contractor with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, so they were able to get me right into the rental vehicle and put everything on one bill for the ProtectMyCar people. I’m very happy with ProtectMyCar. They've been nice and my experience has been very satisfying.

I can't put my car off the shop because it always takes out everything. The company has to think about if the parts delay is not supposed to be client responsibility. When we put it in the shop, I asked to make sure when the inspector would come in, so I can drop the car in the shop. So, it won't take longer time for the car rental. If they want to cover two weeks I don't have problem with that. But if they have a limit to cover for the car rental then they need to be expedited within the time frame. It's directly connected to it. They said that they wouldn't replace it so I told them to put the old harness on and put the alternator. But they wouldn't honor replacing the alternator if I didn't buy the harness which cost $300. They've done a fairly good job other than a few pieces that they didn't want to replace. But they were major pieces that cost me money that I didn't wanna have to spend but I did.
Interactions with the reps were not very good. It feels like they make the decision on the call. I've only had two claims but I tried to go above them to discuss a timing belt not being replaced and they said that they make the decision, no one else, based on what the repair shop, Volkswagen, said. And it didn't make sense that they wouldn't replace a part that was connected to a troubled part or a replacement part. Other than that, they have helped me out a lot with what I had to pay.

I once submitted a claim online and ProtectMyCar's website worked out pretty good. I had something with the gear box locked up and that was what I didn't understand in the beginning because I was told this was covered. But they gave me a discount on the bill. Then I found out that's how much I've been paying per month. So without the discount, I'm in minus. As for the oil changes, I submitted the expenses and after a while, I got that money back, so that worked out. But still, they haven't really saved me any money.

Ambassador policies provide a wide variety of important benefits including free oil changes, free tire rotations and a significant reduction in repair costs, anywhere from 25% to 45% of the original estimate of repair costs. They also come with towing, 24 /7 roadside assistance and rental car benefits.
The more you use the benefits, the more you save. Please do not hesitate to call us with any questions or ways you can maximize your savings by using the policy.

I had one warranty prior and it just ran out. Then ProtectMyCar got a hold of me and I figured that I’d give them a try. I set it up to automated bill pay and it comes right out. It’s very convenient and affordable with low down payment, low and easy installment payments, and a low deductible. The claim process was easy. The mechanics I brought it to handled everything. They're awesome and they treated me good. Everything was wonderful and great. I’m very happy with everything. I'm a very satisfied customer and I’d definitely recommend them.

Our primary goal is to give every policy holder good peace of mind. Great rates, towing, rental car benefits, fast claims processing and the personal touch are just some of the ways we help provide good peace of mind.
Thanks once again for your comments. Remember the best part, too. We are still here to help again when the need arises.

I looked up a couple of different companies that does the same thing as ProtectMyCar, but they were the best as far as coverage and the amount. I have two policies, one for my Mini Cooper and another for my Tahoe. I haven't used it on my Tahoe. But I went to the dealership and had the work needed to be done to my Mini Cooper. Then the dealership called ProtectMyCar and paid what they paid, then I paid for the deductible. I didn't have to speak with anyone, which was convenient. I'm pleased with it as far as what they paid for. But there are a few other things that I thought was covered but turned out to not be covered. That should be divulged at the beginning. But I guess that's business, so I can't complain too much. Having said that, overall, I'm happy with it.

You have no doubt reviewed the policy and have seen that the policy lists each and every covered component. We make it very clear what components are covered and which are not. The reason for this is simple.
Please call us anytime you have any questions or if there is any thing we can do to help out.
