When I tried to make a claim one time through my car dealer, they told me that I couldn’t get a rental. I was a little upset because when I got this warranty, they never explained to me that the labor had to be four hours or more. Had they told me, I would’ve not added it to my warranty because most of the dealers fix cars within two hours. The labor hours of my dealer was only two hours and a half, but they didn’t have the part and they already took my car apart so they stood with my car til the next day. Meanwhile, I’m still stuck without a vehicle because they couldn’t give me the rental. It’s wrong that they calculate it by the hours. If the dealer stood with my car til the next day, even though the labor was two and a half hours, that left me walking til the next day.

We do work hard to make sure this protection is affordable for everyone’s budget. It’s all part of not just doing the right thing, but doing things right for each customer. If the rental car benefits were unlimited, it would likely increase the cost of the policy. Most policyholders are most concerned with getting their vehicle repaired right the first time without delay.
We do work closely with the shops but do not control their repair schedules.

I had gotten an extended warranty and then when something was wrong, they gave me excuses like I can’t take it to a Cadillac dealer, I can't do this, I can't do that. So I purchased another warranty once that warranty was up. I went with ProtectMyCar because of the way they were talking and what the dealer said I have with them. A Cadillac is expensive to get fixed more than anything else and they were true with everything they said they were. ProtectmyCar has been honoring everything I had on my car or if something was wrong with it. I've been telling they're a very good warranty place to other coworkers on my job. I love them and I’ll always have them on board if they’re still around.

The first time I submitted a claim for ProtectMyCar was like a little bit far end but after doing it more than once, it became a little bit easier to do. They are more cost-effective and when I read their manual, I liked the terms of their policy. I submit my claims via the dealership. Also ProtectMyCar offers roadside assistance but one time, when I was stranded and got some flat tires on the highway, I needed help and I called them. But I was on the line for a long period of time. I got a response, but nobody really came out to help. They never sent one out and I have never been contacted ever since.

I've been with ProtectMyCar for almost three years and they've been all right. They've been pretty fair and consistent. I have a nice 645 BMW and I had only one breakdown. I take my car all the way to Boston to get it serviced from North Carolina. I'm a car enthusiast and I don't like reconditioned parts. My repair guy is a BMW expert who knows what he does and knows how I feel. When he was communicating with ProtectMyCar and they told him they were going to send him a part, he told them he knew the part numbers since he went into the car years ago and wanted to keep genuine parts. When I go to BMW, I buy genuine parts. I'm a firm believer that you pay for what you get. If you have a high-performance car, why would you sit there and throw secondary parts on it? That was one thing I found wrong with ProtectMyCar.

Also, most of the components that they're protecting should be a little bit more widespread 'cause the components that they're talking about protecting are the other ones that are least likely to break. The valve jobs on those high-end cars should be omitted. That's dependent upon the record keeping of somebody's car. But other than those, I have had no problems.

Submitting a claim was fairly easy and I did it over the phone. It wasn't like haggling over spilled milk and it was so good that ProtectMyCar allowed me to give authorization to my repair guy to be able to deal with them directly. I watched them communicate back and forth together and it was splendid. I didn't have to sit there. I told ProtectMyCar and they went at it and they handled it. They remitted the check to my repair guy to do the work and I just paid the $100 deductible. I submitted one claim since I've been with ProtectMyCar, but they were right there when I needed them. I wish they gave me a better car, though, since the car they gave us was flimsy. Also, if they up the ante on some other things, on more moving parts of the car, it would be mostly appreciated by the consumer. I get many offers from other people who want me to jump ship, but I'm good right where I am.

I would give ProtectMyCar an A plus. It's not like the nightmares I hear about other people saying, "Oh, I bought this extended warranty from these people and they do nothing for me. They're not even rated inside the Better Business Bureau." I did a little research and found the company went from one entity and merged with another. I recommended ProtectMyCar to my daughter because she has a BMW, to a friend and to a lot of folks.

I liked some of the details that ProtectMyCar had in their warranty so I got one from them. I've had one claim through the company that fixed my vehicle and it went great. It didn't take long. The only difficult part is when my payment is due on a Sunday and I can’t get through to anybody to make the payment. And I’m scared that the warranty will be canceled if the payment is late.

It's easy to make the payments to ProtectMyCar and they do it on my credit card. But I had a one experience with them that wasn't so good. It was about the towing and I got no help from them. I've called them up and they said they didn't offer to tow the car. There was some stipulation and they couldn't get to where my car was. They said they were going to call me back but they never called me. I wasn't happy about that. It was like a big circus and I ended up getting my car towed through my insurance company.

My warranty ran out so I looked for somebody else to warranty my car. I tried ProtectMyCar and I've been with them since then. I had some issues with claims submission, though. I sent in a claim for something on my car. They said it wasn't covered so I let them explain why. They came back and said they're going to cover it, and they did the repairs. I asked them to send me a booklet so I know what they did and didn't cover. When I looked at the booklet, I saw they are supposed to cover that part. Somebody got it wrong, but ProtectMyCar did what they were supposed to do.

Submitting a claim was both good and bad. ProtectMyCar said I didn’t have to pay out any money but I had to pay out almost $2000. They said they were going to pay for the engine and the engine would cost a certain amount. But there were other things that were wrong and the person who fixed it charged me for them. Also, I had to rent to a car because the car was out for over a week. I submitted a claim to get back the reimbursement but I didn’t get it back yet. I got the engine fixed but not totally because I still had to pay out all this money so I wasn’t really totally satisfied with ProtectMyCar.

The persons that I spoke with convinced me to get an auto warranty from ProtectMyCar. I've submitted a claim over the phone, and it went very well. The representative that I dealt with was great. I'll recommend them to anybody that has already got their car serviced totally. They're ranked number 10 among auto warranty providers. Of the services they offer, I've used the roadside assistance, but not the rental car.

The company is great, and so is their service. I'm pleased with the service in the plan that I have. It was a great experience I had with them, and I'd give them an A rating. But with what I'm spending for the auto warranty, which is $50 a month, I need a better, bigger, and stronger coverage than what the plan I now have provides for me. I'd rather pay three times what I'm paying per month for my current plan, which is neither what I need nor what I needed, to get the $100 deductible plan that I need. In my current plan, they pay 25%of the repair cost. If my coverage was what I needed, my car repair problems would've been taken care of. If I have a problem with my engine and I've got a four year coverage, and I'm paying them $150 a month for two years, and I've got an additional two years, then I have no problems, when I have a problem with my car, and if the repair cost is $4000, then nobody lost any money.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate them very much. We do understand your concerns. However, since your vehicle has over 150 thousand miles on it, it will be very difficult to find the kind of protection you would prefer. Industry wide, vehicles with that many miles simply would not qualify for coverage.
Our Ambassador series of policies was created specifically for vehicle owners whose vehicles do not qualify for standard extended breakdown coverage, either because of excessive age or miles, or because of pre-existing conditions. The Ambassador family of policies is less expensive than a standard extended warranty and therefore appeal to those on a limited budget.
Ambassador policies provide a wide variety of important benefits including free oil changes, free tire rotations and a significant reduction in repair costs, anywhere up to 45% of the original estimate of repair costs. They also come with towing, 24/7 roadside assistance and rental car benefits.

For the most part, ProtectMyCar is doing a very good job. Every time I call them for a claim I always get switched to somebody else, but they try to work it out. I was having so much problems with my vehicle. I brought it in the dealership and we got the problem fixed. But all of a sudden, two weeks later, I have to put a brand new motor in my car and the same problem was persisting. But when I brought it back, the dealership wanted to charge me another $560 on top of the $5,000 I already spent. And when I got it back a week later, it was doing the exact same thing again.

They've actually had my car for seven weeks out to last night. For my business, that's what I use to make my money and I've lost a ton. It wasn't ProtectMyCar but the dealership that screwed me over. But it did take two weeks for ProtectMyCar to actually give them the "Okay" and by the time they got the motor, the dealership was blaming it on the warranty people. It was going back and forth.

ProtectMyCar was trying to get the dealership to get me a rental car. But the dealership said they have to wait until one car is available. For two weeks, I was down without a vehicle. I finally got one and had it for almost four weeks. It was a long time, and I don't believe they charged ProtectMyCar for it. I then got my car back, but it had all the other problems with it. I'm on my second trip for my car. I've only put on probably 3,000 on it. My check engine light just came on today so I have to bring it back to the dealership because they told me that they're definitely going to have to put in another new motor. It's been horrible, but ProtectMyCar has been good on everything so far.

I love ProtectMyCar. When I was looking for a warranty, they are one of the companies that popped up. I looked at a couple of other auto warranty providers but I picked ProtectMyCar because what they were saying on the Yahoo website was clearer than the others. Paying for it is easy because they take the payment out from my credit card. Submitting a claim is also an easy process because it knocked the middleman out, as far as me trying to get someone to pay for something. At first, I went to a dealership and the dealership said they do not use them so I had to call back and find out who actually uses them. Then they didn’t approve the last claim because they say it was a wear and tear. I normally call back if they say that they can’t approve a claim as I need to know why, but the last person I talked to asked if I have my book and I said, "If I had my book, I probably won’t be calling you."

Thank you for your comments. We are very pleased that the policy has helped you so much with your repairs. This last repair was, unfortunately, to a non-covered components.
The purpose of the policy is to pay the cost of covered repairs. No policy, no matter who issues it, will cover 100% of a vehicle. As your vehicle ages and more miles are added it will be more and more likely that future repairs will be required. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will be to covered components. When that occurs and we are able to help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage.

Again, thank you for your comments.

When I first talked to the people at ProtectMyCar, their rep kept making the deal better and better as we went along so I thought to try it out and if I didn't like it, he told me I can stop it anytime. It's been a mixed experience. The good thing was it worked to some, but the bad thing was the discount I got was small in the total scheme of things with all the payments I had to make. I've taken my car to the dealership, gave them the phone number of ProtectMyCar and then they called ProtectMyCar. But they didn't launch the claim. Then ProtectMyCar called me back to validate the claim and I said, "Yup, the claim is genuine. Go ahead and process it."

They had to do some bargaining on how much they're going to pay Porsche for it. I was told that out of the bill of $1000, I save about $250. The only other good advantage was I hadn't got the servicing so I saved all the cost. But the process was through and through, making calls, being on hold. When they make calls, it goes from one phone number to the second to third, that's ridiculous. If I call the number, that should be the people that I need to talk to. The first person I talked to should do everything that's required on my time and I should be done in 10, 15 minutes.

The Porsche dealer helped me very well, although the service rep was very unhappy about the paperwork. The process was very time consuming. My poor Porsche service rep had to stand over an hour trying to make that whole thing work. And then beyond that, apart from being on the phone, when I picked up my car, I had to wait for about one hour before they could release my car to me. If they want the form to be signed by me, they could have asked me to sign it at home and then send it or fax it back to the company or to Porsche so that they could go on and process it. They waited for me to come to Porsche, sign the form, send or fax it to them, and then do the one hour overtime. That is just not right. It's not an acceptable way of doing business. They should simplify their paperwork. Right now, I'm not a happy camper.

In fact, the mechanic that worked on my car said he was going to call them and get an extended warranty. He said in his experience with dealing with extended warranties, they've always been a hassle, but he had absolutely no hassle with the one I got from ProtectMyCar. I had a good experience.

But everything is all right though because it's in the book. I had real good work done and they took care of me too. The only problem I had was the hassle in getting a rental car.

When I submit a claim, I take my Ford Taurus to a Ford dealer. Usually, once I know it's under the extended warranty, Ford will do all the communication with ProtectMyCar. Luckily with the two claims I had, ProtectMyCar was able to cover most of the expenses. The last one, I had to pay a little bit out of pocket, but compared to what I would've paid on the outside, I saved myself a lot of money. The only issue I had was when I was trying to get a tow and they couldn’t get one for me. I had to pay more out of pocket just to get somebody out here to get us picked up so I ended up getting AAA, but that was a while back. Other than that, my experience has been great so far. I told a friend about ProtectMyCar and he signed up for it.

The second time around, I told the mechanic to go ahead, do it and I'll cover what they don’t. And it was fixed before ProtectMyCar even gave the go-ahead to fix it. They were a little slow in returning the phone calls, but other than that, my experience with them has been pretty well. It's definitely worth the money.

It's difficult to submit a claim with ProtectMyCar. It took a long time to get it satisfied and I had to get a rental car for almost a month before they even got around to getting mine fixed. They eventually came through, but I had to make a lot of phone calls. Their claims reps were helpful, but took a long time to settle it. They had to send a rep down to the Mercedes dealership to check out the car and then it took them another week or so before they made a decision. I had a Mercedes Benz rental and they gave me a rental car reimbursement of $30 a day for a week. However, the shop had my car for over a month, so I ended up having to pay a lot in rental fees. Plus, I had to pay an extra $400 to get them to tune the transmission after they got it in, which should've been covered by their warranty.

Some repairs by their nature are time consuming to diagnose and repair correctly. We do depend on the diagnosis by the shop and have to wait until they have completed that diagnosis. On some occasions, we do hire our own specialists for an independent inspection.
In order to get a proper and complete diagnosis of the problems we hire at our expense a specialist to take a look at the automobile and give us an independent diagnosis. As we are sure you will agree, fixing only a part of the problem, or the wrong problem, could cost you a lot of lost time and trouble. It was well worth spending this time to make sure the repair was done right the first time.
We are glad we were able to get the repair done for you and do regret the additional time it took to get it done right the first time.

We're not very happy with ProtectMyCar. Every time they have to call in for a payment, they're very rude. One guy was nice and sweet, but the girls are horrible. We hung up on them a few times when they were nasty when they were taking a payment. They didn't want to fix our air conditioner and there were limitations to everything. So, for three months in the summer, we were sweating to death because our air conditioner blew. I cringe every time we have to make a payment with their group because they're rude, and if they call us on our cellphone or home phone, they are so nasty. They start with a high-pitched voice and are rude. The customer service stinks. I don't understand how rudeness gets you to keep your job.

They didn't send the payment right away to the guy who fixed the car. I felt bad for the guy because the claims department treated him like dirt. He said he hates them since they hardly pay on time. They have to fight them to get a payment. It was ridiculous. We were almost stranded, and unless we go to the dealership, they don't lend us a car. Even the dealer hates them.

In addition, they didn't help us when our engine blew and I had to pay $1,800 that we could've put towards an apartment and for other stuff that we needed. I don't know what else to do at this point. We just keep paying on this thing and we want to cry because, for $90 a month, we're arguing and fighting with these people to get repairs. Now, we're living in our car because we have black mold in our apartment. If we had the $1,800 that we had to blow on the engine, we would probably be ahead of the game, and we could've bought a better engine. The guy had to buy a used engine because that's all he could afford.

They're very unprofessional all the way around between payments and trying to get our car accepted for repairs. It's such a bad company. I've spent too much money and my car still needs help, and I can't afford to keep arguing with these people. I'm in the hospital right now and I don't need this stress. Once I get out, I'm going to start looking for somebody else.

I've had ProtectMyCar for several years and it was in the past 2 months when I first ever used them. My water pump went out and I only had to pay $110. It would have been $1000 and change but they were right on and covered my loss and I was very happy. Then 2 weeks after that, I overheated and they’re saying that the radiator and the air conditioning condenser were clogged. I still have my doubts about that and it was a more major problem with a lot of money of $1,800. I don’t know how they came up with that and it wasn’t covered, unfortunately. Although it wasn't their fault, that was the first time I ever used them where we ended up paying for it.

Even so, ProtectMyCar is very quick and good. They're good to have and I'm still happy with them. I'm still keeping them because I don’t know when the next thing’s gonna happen. When I submitted a claim, I only took my car to a Ford dealer and I gave them all the information. I didn’t get involved. They actually dealt with the claims adjuster and told them what the problem was.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate them very much. As comprehensive as your policy is does not, as most in this industry do not, cover regular maintenance to your vehicle. These policies are intended to help with unexpected breakdowns of covered components. Your mechanic let us know that the overheating was simply due to road grime clogging the system and he got that cleaned out. There was no failure of the components and no claim was filed for the maintenance issue you mechanic resolved.

I don't like to raise hell about things, but I had to and they finally agreed to align the front end. Then they say they provide a rental car for those who are eligible, but I wasn't provided with one. I shouldn't have to go out and find a rental car on my own. Our policies cover mechanical breakdowns of covered components The policies do not cover maintenance or wear and tear items like alignments or tune-ups or fluid flushes. To do so would drive the cost of the policy up. We did agree to cove your cost since it was part of a covered repair. We were happy to do so. That's all part of doing the right thing, not just doing things right.
The policy does reimburse you up to $30 per day for a car rental as was explained to you when the claim was filed. All you need do is provide the rental receipt to allow us to reimburse you.

I signed up with ProtectMyCar and only pay $49 a month. We filed a couple of claims and they've covered it, but they didn't cover the TIPM. Chrysler was supposed to cover it but my car got knocked out of a lawsuit. The claim process is quick and really easy. I'm very happy with them. The reps were very helpful and courteous and they're very upfront and honest. Even if it's something that's not covered, they make sure that what I'm being charged for is accurate. They're very good and I would recommend them to anybody.

One thing I question about ProtectMyCar is if they tried to help me find another shop that was a lot lesser than what I had when I was getting the motor in my vehicle put in. The vehicle stayed in the same spot and I don't know if they estimated the prices. They didn't give me a lot of options. I used up the rental at the location I had the car towed to but it was never referred to anybody else's shop. They could try to research and called around to a lot more people to check and see who was cheaper.

It would also be nice if ProtectMyCar could go up on the percentage of what they pay out. I had to pay 75% while all they pay is 25%. If they're going by the mileage of the car, they have to go by the rules. My vehicle was in the shop for over a week and I felt that they could've paid me more at the time to rent a vehicle with the percentage that they had. I wish they had something like as long as the period that I'm out of my vehicle, I should be rated for how long I'm out of my vehicle to get that discount for the rental. Other than that, they've done a good job. One thing that's good was there was no type of contract. They're also the only ones who took my offer up and I appreciate that.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate them very much. We do understand your concerns. However, since your vehicle has over 188 thousand miles on it, it will be very difficult to find the kind of protection you would prefer.

I bought an extended warranty back in 2004 and it was 100,000 miles or five years beyond. It lapsed but I wasn’t worried about it because I wasn’t having issues. But then, just after I got the warranty from ProtectMyCar, my transmission went out and submitting the claim with ProtectMyCar was weird. They did the job that I asked them to but I had to pay them first and then they paid the dealership the money. Their claims reps were helpful but the fix took a little while. I was without a car for a week. They were looking to find a better deal and the better deal happened to be through the dealership.

I thought ProtectMyCar was a good plan but it's not. I'm paying too much for it. Their representatives were rude and obnoxious. When my transmission went out, they lied to me and I didn't like it. They didn't look after the transmission and it ended up costing me $1,200 more even though the car that I had the warranty on went on unlimited miles and with $100 deductible. They're taking money out that I shouldn't even have to pay because ProtectMyCar doesn't even take care of the vehicle. They're goddamn crooks! Also, they gave me a rental car for three days for $30. I got five kids and I can't fit them all in a compact car. I had to fight with them and it was ridiculous.

Also, before I signed off on my truck, ProtectMyCar got the money to the guys who did the job. They sent a check on a Monday without me getting my truck so I had to fight with them. They should have me sign off on that truck if it was okay and they didn't. They shipped the money that Tuesday but they didn't work on it until about Wednesday or Thursday. I wouldn't recommend this warranty to my worst dog or to my damn enemy. I'd like to find something different because I hate this warranty but I don't know where to go as I need unlimited miles since I put a lot of miles on my truck.

I said that that was a problem because it would be $1800 and I'm not gonna have the car torn down if they're not gonna pay for it and that I may get rid of it right now and trade it in as it is.

My Dodge 06000 Dakota has never had any problems at all. It looks like it just fell out of the showroom. Clean inside-out, no dings, no dents. I get compliments on my truck all the time. But it has been in the shop for at least two months for some electrical problem with the transmission and the dealers can't figure out what's wrong with it. I'm on my fifth rental car now from the dealer. So I called up ProtectMyCar and complained because they want to pick and choose what they want to pay for. It's pathetic and I'm not buying it. I'm a hardworking guy. I have the warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that I'm paying them every month and I have this coverage and they're gonna bend me over? I had to go through a couple of supervisors and I told them that they better pay for the repairs or I start making phone calls and tell the Better Business Bureau what exactly is going on.

Anyway ProtectMyCar ended up paying like a $600 or $700 bill with me putting out almost $400 to $500 out of my own pocket. They're also paying for my rental car because my insurance won't pay anymore. I'd recommend this company only if that person has the time to read all the little fine print. When I talk to these people on the phone they say I'm covered until 100,000 miles, drivetrain and everything. I'm a mechanic so I know what they're talking about and this company plays games.

I spoke to the representatives that were supposed to check out what happened and get back to me but never followed through. And then they’ve bombarded me with calls to get payment for the insurance.

I told them I wanted to talk to somebody about them not covering the air conditioning oil and the gas, which my Toyota dealer told me that all the other service contracts have been covering. I even told them that there’s nothing excluded from that. They go with covered parts. However, all they were interested in was to collect on the payment that didn’t go through. Nobody else called me. The guy that reached out to me from ProtectMyCar was initially really persuasive. The payments are also easy to make because it's taken out of my account each month. However, once I have to actually use the extended warranty, my experience with them was not very good. It was not explained fully to me what's covered and what's not when I bought into warranty. It was horrible and I hate that I even paid into it.

I had a very hard time when I needed service on my vehicle. I submitted the claim via phone and initially, it was easy. My car was taken in two days before the holiday. ProtectMyCar didn't approve it the first day. Also, the car dealership that I took it to could not get responses back from them in a timely manner and my car sat for seven days despite the estimated time for the type of repair I had was two days.

I didn't get everything that I paid into as well. Though the handbook says that my warranty covers rental car up to seven days, they only covered mine up to two days, so I was out an additional amount of money. They didn't tell me until I turned in my receipt for the rental. If I had known they wouldn't cover all the other days, I wouldn't have kept the rental car that long and would have had someone take me to work.

The only highlight were the two representatives at the end. Everyone else were very rude and incompetent. The last two representatives really helped to compensate me. They gave me free oil changes. Even though that's still not gonna compensate the other five days of my having to incur the cost of rental car, they did try to do something.

I talked to a bunch of other warranty providers and they all offered pretty much the same stuff. Some of the others were doing the hard sell and that's a turn-off coming from an ex-car salesman. Also, when I dealt with other people before, they blamed me for not doing this or that. Cars have wear and tear, so if a company says they’ll put auto protection on a 2005, it may be close to something happening because it is 2016. When they take my money, the last thing they should be doing is trying to avoid paying. ProtectMyCar didn't do that when I had a claim. It was quick and easy to claim it and talk to the service place. I have four cars and I put two cars on it because I was that sold. When they delivered where I was being serviced, I was well-pleased. Plus making payments was easy because I gave them a bank account so they get the payments out of it.

One thing I'm waiting on now is ProtectMyCar’s maintenance perks because it's supposed to be two oil changes. Initially the rep was telling me it was a lifetime oil change, but when things came down to it, they told me it was two oil changes. When I was out of town, my wife went in and got an oil change so I called the rep and told him. I checked the billing and I was still waiting for that. I had sent it in two or three times with my rental agreement and I still haven't gotten that back. They said they sent out the $90 reimbursement for the rental but they still didn't find my oil change receipt. They said they’ll call me on Monday at the latest so I've given them until then before I call and complain. Everything else was fast and efficient. The people at the claims department are courteous while the mechanics are cool. They’ve been excellent enough where I'm already referring people to them.

I needed an auto warranty because I knew my car's mileage was going up. When I called ProtectMyCar, they offered me some help with my first payment for the warranty and discounted it a little bit, which made it affordable for me at the time. However, I submitted a claim when my transmission went out and it was a difficult process. They gave me a hard time and delayed the process. My car was gone 22 days, so I had to get a rental car for that length of time. Unfortunately, the transmission caused some collateral damage and ruined the clutch on my car. But they wouldn't cover the clutch and I had to pay for it. The repair cost me $1,400 on top of the rental car and the clutch. The whole point of why I got an extended warranty was so I wouldn't have huge car bills like that. Because of that, I would not recommend ProtectMyCar to another person.

My car is a Volkswagen Passat and the guy at Volkswagen of Murrieta where I had my car repaired had it towed to Volkswagen. He dealt with ProtectMyCar and they gave him a lot of grief. When they said they were going to call him back, they didn't. So, he had to constantly call them and he would get a different rep all the time. It was really a pain in the ass for him. Most people have to work everyday and they can't be haggling and going back and forth with trying to get their car repaired, and that's why they hire someone and pay a monthly payment to get their car taken care of so they don't have that problem.

We had a 2012 Honda and the three years warranty ran out, and I didn't have any other warranty. When somebody from ProtectMyCar called and offered an auto warranty, we went with them. Our pretty new Honda only needed maintenance for things like brakes and tires, and there wasn’t anything related to mechanical breakdown, so, I didn’t use the warranty for the new car. But I used the warranty for my older car.

At first I thought that the auto warranty was a good purchase because it would cost more to fix car problems if I didn't have it. They're supposed to give you a 20% discount. I thought the repair would cost higher if I didn't have the insurance. But somehow, the price was raised up. It cost me $40 to do the estimate and then they cost $70 to estimate. Then if I fixed the problem with the alternator by myself, without insurance, the cost would be $300 something. But with the insurance, I had to pay $550 to fix that. The cost was that much more, and not just a little bit more, with the insurance. Maybe it was because I had two services done together, a free oil change and a tire rotation. Maybe I should have had these services done separately. But somehow, I didn't think that the price given was right. But I didn't want to hold down my car and not continue because of the insurance holdup, and I couldn't get my car, so I told them to get done with the repair.

The claims representatives, who are so busy, said that those prices were the quotes that the dealership shop gave to them. I felt like they mistreated me because they didn't explain things to me, like how the price increase worked out. I told them that I don't know who’s telling the truth, either the shop or them. There's no way for me to tell because the stories were different, and I didn't like that. But I couldn't say that they’re outright lying. They said that was the price because Honda parts were used. But the car I have is pretty old and has really high mileage, and I don't know if it needs Honda parts. They may have a reason for increasing the price, but the value, the situation, and the circumstance may not be the ones that work for me.

I couldn't say that it was a great experience with them, but neither could I say that it was absolutely horrible. It was just a middle of the road experience. But it was more expensive and I would not recommend it to anyone. One of the purposes of having a warranty is that the warranty provider was supposed to watch out for the customer to make sure that the auto mechanic did not charge for repair a price that was too high.

I purchased this warranty to have some kind of protection. I’m paying for rainy day fees. If my car has a really big breakdown, then maybe I'll save something. That's why I pay $50 every month for the insurance for my 2012 Honda. If something breaks down, I only need to pay $50. It's a different policy because this car is newer, and that's why I still have this warranty. Otherwise, I would have already cancelled it. I had three Saturns and I definitely went to the shop more frequently than with the Japanese cars. Maybe the warranty will work with that kind of car, and it just depends on what kind of car you have. When it comes to how much I am really saving with the warranty, I'm not sure because I have already paid regularly for it. If accidents happen very often, then the warranty would be worth the cost, and that's what insurance is for. I don't really know if having the warranty is worth the cost or not, but I know that it's not cheaper to have it.

I had a transmission problem so I submitted a claim. When I called their claims department about my claim, they didn't have it. So I got a little runaround but they got it corrected after a while. They did a very good job. It took about three weeks and I still had to get the car towed from one place to another and pay some extra dollars, but it worked out. The service was wonderful and professional. I couldn't have afforded the transmission without ProtectMyCar. If it comes down to the little things, I'll use my insurance coverage. But if it's something major, I'd call ProtectMyCar. I would recommend them if I was in a situation where I can't afford certain things, like the engine, transmission, mufflers, starters, and alternators.

The gentleman at the dealership told me that ProtectMyCar is ridiculous to work with and I would have had to pay just my deductible with other warranty companies. I ended up having to pay $700 so the warranty wasn't beneficial to me. All I saved was $100 with using them. I'm going back to the company that I had when I purchased this car, which my deductible was $100 and then they would have paid the rest of my claim.

As soon as I told most of the car warranty companies that called me that I had over 200,000 miles, they didn't want to do anything with me. Finally, ProtectMyCar said they'd worked with me. However, my last experience with a claim wasn't too good because I had to send money back to ProtectMyCar and then they had to send it back. It took over a week to get my car out. They had the check done but I didn't get the check paid for a week. So, it messed me up. They kept saying I didn't send the money back there but I had proofs that I did.

If I had just given the mechanic my share of the money and had ProtectMyCar sent their share, then everything would have been fine. They didn't send the money to the mechanic and made me send it all over again. I spent running back and forth from the bank to them, sending faxes and text, and it took a week to get the mechanic paid so I could get my car out. It cost me too much and time lost off of work trying to get things done. I got to figure out a better way to do it because it didn't work out very good.

The first time I went to use my ProtectMyCar insurance to get an oil change, I had to pay it myself. After my oil change was done, I gave the car company the information but they said that they can't use my insurance because I didn't tell them first. But I was reimbursed later. Then in my first claim, I had a “check engine” light on. Filing it was easy and their claims reps seemed fine. I made an appointment and went in but the Buick company told me that they were too busy. They told me that I could wait and they could try to fit me in. But I had an appointment so I didn’t like that and left.

I called ProtectMyCar and told them what happened. ProtectMyCar explained to me later that I could use anyone as long as this company was certified. Then a few minutes later, the Buick company called me and said that I could come back, that I could wait and they would try to look at my car but they couldn’t guarantee me anything. So instead of going to the Buick company that I had been dealing with, I went to a place that was not far from where I actually was and they did the work for me. I would recommend ProtectMyCar.

I've only had one bad experience with ProtectMyCar. But I've talked with the manager about it already and I told him how rude his employee was and was not very helpful at all. They will lose a lot of business the way he acted. He lied to me because he told me that he already sent it in to get approved. But the dealer called me asking what was taking so long on getting his money. I checked my account and the payment was already taken out. He also talked to the manager, but they haven't got an email yet showing that it was taken care of. The guy then checked into it and it turned out that he didn't send it, but the money is out of my account so something happened.

I have the statement showing that it was already taken out of my account, but the man is not letting me have my vehicle because he said he's waiting on the payment. I thought everything was taken care of but it wasn't. Then the guy was rude to us. My husband was on a three-way call to get it verified because he's at work. The guy just practically told my husband to shut up. That was so unprofessional. When I talked to the manager, I told him that with a service like this every time, I would just want to cancel my service. The manager apologized and said that he will be taking care of it.

As for my monthly payment, I do an automatic draft, but when it's time to get something done, they can't automatically take it from my card right then. They need to provide something in writing. It is so inconvenient like that. Maybe I was having my account where payment comes out automatically. He said that it was to authorize to take my money out for my payment. If I didn't have another car, I will be in bad shape having to wait for all of that and not having a rental car. So they should come up with something better on being able to get your car taken care of right then because you just can’t wait until they get back to you. It wouldn't be too good to have ProtectMyCar because of having to go through so many hoops in order to get my vehicle fixed. It's a problem if we're out of town and trying to get the vehicle taken care of right then while waiting to get it verified.

The lady representative of ProtectMyCar was understanding and courteous, and she convinced me to get an auto warranty from them. I pay $72 every month for the warranty. I submitted a claim and took my car to the shop. The Mercedes Benz dealership gave a certain amount as the estimated cost for the repair. But the ProtectMyCar guys told me that the Mercedes Benz people were charging too much, and I agreed. They were able to talk the car dealership down to a $1,100 actual cost from the $1,200 estimated cost. But they said that I don't pay half of the actual cost that's less, but rather I pay the higher cost that was originally estimated. I'm dissatisfied because it doesn't make any sense for me to be paying 50% of an estimate and not 50% of the actual cost, since the actual cost is what was actually charged for the repair work done.

They were telling me that I would be getting two discounts, if I were to pay half of the actual cost, rather than the estimated cost. They said that I was already getting a discount because they're paying 50% of the repair cost. They told me, "If we didn't pay half of it, you would have to pay all of it." But I said, "Well, that's what I'm paying you for." Then they said that I would be getting another discount from the cost reduction that they obtained when they bargained down the cost from $1,200 to $1,100. Estimates… that's an auto mechanic's thing. They give a high estimate that's going to be much more than what’s actually charged. So, does the consumer pay for the high estimate when the warranty company doesn’t? I just hope that they change their ways because I paid the money, but nobody has money to waste like that.

ProtectMyCar was the first that called me offering an extended warranty on automobiles. They solicited my participation but I didn’t thoroughly read the contract. Upon taking my car to the dealer, I was told that the timing belt was going to break. I submitted a claim and the rep told me that they’re not going to fix it until it breaks completely as stated in the contract. So I immediately told them that if I’m driving the car and the timing belt breaks, something else within the motor is going to be broken too. He said I need not worry because I got a towing contract too.

I sent the contract to my lawyer, he read it and he told me to cancel it. I went on to try to cancel the contract with them but they lowered the monthly price from $56 down to $48 and I have not had a problem with them. I’ve had them fix a motor arm in my car and they repaired it. I think as long as it’s not major, we don’t have a problem. I’m thinking preventive maintenance is better than the actual repair, but they don’t operate like that. They’ll wait until something completely breaks and then they’ll repair it. But in my mind, they’ll find some blueprint or something to keep from fixing the timing belt even when it does break.

Thank you for your comments. We are happy to respond. It is true that your policy provides help with mechanical breakdowns, not maintenance and not preventative maintenance. If the policy were to cover preventative maintenance the cost of the policy would be more than most people would be able to pay.
Some shops try to build work for themselves by telling customers that some component is likely to break down, so go ahead and repair it now. That may sometimes be true but often is just a scare tactic to get the customer to do unnecessary work at the Customer's expense.
Remember, should your vehicle break down, the policy does include towing, rental car benefits and will take care of the covered repair.

My regular warranty from the dealership was expiring and I figured ProtectMyCar calling me was an opportunity. It was there and I didn't have to dig around so I gave them a shot. But they were not being honest as far as what they're going to protect. We submitted a claim which was difficult to do based on what my mechanic told me. Usually, with a claim I can take it to any mechanic. Then the mechanic will tell me what the cost is and I would tell that to the insurance provider who will come and take a look. But in this case, ProtectMyCar wanted me to have the mechanic call them to let them know what the cost is gonna be so ProtectMyCar can visit them. They didn’t want to deal with me as the insurer. They wanted to deal directly with whoever was fixing the car.

Then my mechanic was having a hard time getting ProtectMyCar to compensate him for certain things that should’ve belonged in the extended warranty. It didn’t work based on what they said they were going to do. I paid them more money than they forked out on this warranty that they should’ve covered. I was not assured that they were going to do what they said they were gonna do in writing. So I was a little disappointed. They sold the insurance to another company and it wasn't ProtectMyCar that I dealt with, it was the other company before that. I can see how they took advantage of me by changing their name and not doing what they said they were gonna do.

Their claims rep is very nice. He took care of business. He was on top of it, and I was really happy about that. I'd really like to commend the young man who took care of me personally, and recommend that ProtectMyCar gives him some award and recognition. Because I have been involved with companies wherein, when I call them, they'd be saying, "Okay I'll call to have somebody to call you back". But I don't hear from them for a week, so I have gotten to call them back and then they say, "Well, that's why we still didn't call you. I'll have him call you within the next day or two."

Plus, ProtectMyCar contacted the person that I had been dealing in the car body shop and he prepared everything. Once I got the part of my deductible ready, everything fell into place within a couple of days and then they turned it over. He gave good service to me that make me want to say, "Okay I feel safe around that" because I've had other people calling me, "You know your warranty?" I say, "I already got a warranty I don't need y'all. Thank you, goodbye."

When we were looking for an extended warranty for one of our vehicles, my husband found ProtectMyCar online. We also looked at a couple of warranty companies, even the one we originally had with the vehicle, but ProtectMyCar was the best one so we went with them. They were able to give us the quote that we liked at the time.

We recently had to submit a claim with them for the vehicle that we have. It started off easy and they were very cooperative. But it got pretty difficult and at the very end, it didn't turn out as smooth as we'd hoped it would be. There was a lot of delay and we can't quite figure out where the delay came from. We haven't been able to get some answers as quickly as we would've liked. And right now, I'm still waiting to hear back from them on something that I submitted maybe three weeks ago.

Unfortunately, my vehicle sat at the car dealership for several weeks before the work was started on it because we were waiting to hear back from ProtectMyCar. But then they said they were waiting to hear back from the gentleman at the car dealership. There's a lot of back and forth and there seemed to be a miscommunication. At one time there was a hurricane in Florida where they were located in so the system was down for a few days. We understood that. But then the estimator also couldn't get there. Then after he finally got there, for whatever reason, it took a week and a half to get his information input.

ProtectMyCar was supposed to pay for the work and that was initially done. But the car wasn't able to get worked on because the dealership was waiting to hear back from ProtectMyCar. They eventually did the work and then ProtectMyCar paid whatever they said they were gonna pay. But now, we're still waiting for them to pay for a portion of a rental car. I've submitted that form through fax a few weeks ago but we never did hear anything. I finally called back about a week and a half later and the guy there said to email him something, but then we haven't heard anything back afterwards. We've also had some issues on our call getting through. I was on hold for 20 minutes before I can get to a real person then I would get disconnected. That was a little disheartening so I spoke with them then. That happened like three times during a time when we were travelling. After the third call, we finally got through so we got past that hump.

ProtectMyCar needs to work more on their customer service. To me, a phone should never ring for 20 minutes. First of all, it should never be put on hold for 20 minutes and then get hung up on. Also, that should definitely not happen three times straight in the same day. They also have to make sure that communication is kept up between the client and whoever's doing the work. I understand that sometimes delays come up and it's always a different thing that one can't control. But the client would always want to be at least kept in the loop. I don't think the customer should have to be the one to constantly call back, be kept on hold then get disconnected. Also, their vehicle shouldn't have to sit at the shop for two weeks without any work being done on it because then their rental cost becomes extremely high.

I want to protect my family because both my wife and daughter are handicapped. I needed some reassurance. I searched the web for car insurance and was checking out a few different ones, and ProtectMyCar sounded pretty good. However, when I submitted a claim it was terrible. My car was acting funny that day. I started the car and it was like running on a couple of cylinders, like if I got water in the gas tank. I called ProtectMyCar and they referred me to AAMCO Transmission. They highly recommended it and they were affiliated with it. I said it's not a transmission problem but they said AAMCO does a lot of other extents of work. So I had a tow truck take it over there.

My car sat there for over three weeks before anything happened to it. I was bounced from one person to another. AAMCO did their estimation in the third week, and they found out it wasn’t in their area. And then they had put it off another week and they said it will be $150. I said, "I’ll pay it, just get somebody out there to do their estimate." They finally got out there.

AAMCO did an inspection on it and they said our transmission was going out. I had no idea that it had a transmission problem. To me it seemed fine. So I said it was missing. I told the tow truck driver that they had sent out to do this and get it over there. The guy at AAMCO said “We’ll do this first and then we’ll go back and reinstate another claim". I said, “No. This is the problem. I need my car back. My wife has to go every Monday to do dressing change with the PICC line.”

AAMCO submitted the estimate. I was playing phone tag between the two of them because neither parties were getting along. It was after three weeks they finally offered me a rental car for $30. Also, ProtectMyCar sent their own transmission. It’s a used warranty transmission, which looked pretty good and I’m happy with it. But that wasn’t the issue at hand.

They took advantage of me at AAMCO ‘cause I found out there was an air hose that had come off. And when that comes off, it works the fuel injectors. It does that spit and sputter sound and is missing. After I got the car back and all this went on, that hose came off and it did the same exact thing that it was doing. I could barely make it back to the driveway and it cost me $2000 for a hose. It slipped off and I don’t think there were any other problems.

I also kept telling AAMCO not to leave the windows down. When I got the car back, it was all dusty inside. It was really a nightmare on both parties. I'm just happy I got the car back. They did get it fixed but I’m very dissatisfied. I’m still with ProtectMyCar. I might look down the road at other companies but right now I have so much on my plate.

ProtectMyCar saved me a little bit when I was in a bind but I'm not satisfied with them. I ended up paying what little bit I saved on a rental car because they were under the impression that I paid for the wrong car from the time it was in the shop to the time it was picked up and they lagged around. On my end, I had to call them several times. Anyway, we got everything taken care of and they were fairly nice about it. However, they said they were only going to pay three days for the rental car, but they took more than three days’ worth, having to go back and forth. So I ended up paying for the rest of the rental car.

I hated my experience with ProtectMyCar. I didn't feel that I was taken seriously and don't want to continue. I found out there was something wrong with the engine and then that was where the problem with the company started. I went back and forth with them when I submitted a claim. Ron, the guy who was doing the policy, was very obnoxious, rude and made me feel as if I was less than a consumer. I felt like I was bothering him. I didn't like it at all.

My car was in the shop for almost a month before they had gotten the funding to go ahead and approve it. I've been with the company for two years and still had to go through that rigmarole. They gave me the runaround and I felt like I was imposing. My business wasn't appreciated at all. Then I was supposed to get a rent-a-car but didn't even know. Somebody at the dealership told me that my car has been there for two months so I should just go ahead and ask for a rental. ProtectMyCar approved it for five days.

Making payments was great at first because they used to take the money directly from my account every month. But then they stopped and now, they're calling me saying I need to mail in a payment or put a credit card on file. And I don't want to do that. I felt like I was with a secondary type of warranty company. They gave me that impression because I didn't feel as if they were the real deal. I didn't think that they follow through on making it easy for me to be able to get my car done at a timely fashion and all of that good stuff.

I needed an auto warranty right away. I took a chance on ProtectMyCar and didn't get a chance to go in-depth on finding a warranty company. They gave me a good deal but I'm getting no feedback. I feel like I'm getting ripped off in a way. For me to be paying every month this kind of money, it's like I'm paying to a ghost. They don't have a business card or an email. They said they're gonna mail me a card, book or pamphlet to keep in my car all the time but I got nothing in the mail. Someone like AAA will have something in the mail within less than three days and I'm gonna have all kinds of extra deal package. Then if I refer the company to a friend, I get a 15% discount or $15 off.

I spent almost $3000 with them almost a month ago for work done on my car. I thought I'll just be going down there to the shop and pay the amount that was required for me to pay. But I had to pay ProtectMyCar first which I didn't know. I thought they had all that taken care of at the dealer I'm going to. I'm about to use them again this week to fix something else on my car so I have to search them back out and find out where they're at. ProtectMyCar's type of business is not gonna work. Customer service is terrible. I'm iffy about making another payment because I ain't hearing from them.

ProtectMyCar has a better deal, so I went with them. I submitted my very first claim a month ago, and the representative walked me through everything that I needed to do. The process was absolutely easy. I was so afraid, but they made it so stress-free. Everything was taken care of just the way that it was stated, and I barely came out of pocket for anything. I've used the roadside assistance one time when my car had a flat. I didn't like the wait time but it was due to the location of where I was, but other than that, it was a really great experience and they got me taken care of.

ProtectMyCar is a wonderful company and I feel like I made a really great decision, almost like an investment as a matter of fact. Overall, my experience has been wonderful. Everybody is helpful anytime I call in, and it's really great that it's personal. When I call in, I feel like they already know who I am and they acknowledge me by my name. I don't feel like a customer. It almost feels like a family experience.

The policy pays on covered repairs. No policy, no matter who issues it, will cover 100% of a vehicle. As your vehicle ages it will be likely that future repairs will be required. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will be covered. When we help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage. Again, thank you for your comments.

I just call ProtectMyCar and give them the information of the dealership or service shop name, location, phone number and the name of the person that I am dealing with. This way, they can deal with that person over the phone. Just like what I did the last time. ProtectMyCar gave me a reimbursement for the work that I had to pay for out of my pocket. I was shocked that even happened. The only issue was with the dealership we had to deal with. They did sort of a poor job. But ProtectMyCar is good. I've only been with them for maybe a month and a half and there is nothing bad to say about them. They were responsive and decisive, so I appreciate it. The enrollment fees were cost effective. I took advantage of the oil change once and I'm getting ready to do it again.

My car was smoking real bad and I was advised by Stephanie from ProtectMyCar to not drive my car at all. I was an emotional wreck back then because ProtectMyCar took forever. I went over to them to get the car towed at 9 in the morning, and the shop had everything already ready to go. And then there were waiting and waiting and waiting. And it was almost closing time when ProtectMyCar approved it. So I went and fixed it. It was $600 and they covered half of it. I paid ProtectMyCar and then they paid the mechanic with their corporate credit card and everything was fixed. And I got to know that my 16-year old car has a super remarkable engine because whoever owned the car before me, was keeping it up with the oil change. So the 16-year old engine looked practically brand new.

I got a rental car on that day and paid out of pocket for it. It was $45 and some odd cents. But ProtectMyCar made adjustment, and actually paid me more than what I paid for the car. They gave me two days of car rental when I only had the car for one day. And was equals up to be $60 instead of $45. I even called and was asking if they were aware and they said yes.

So far, ProtectMyCar have done exactly what they are supposed to and I'm very thankful because if I didn't have them, I would've paid almost $700 when I did not have that money. Also, I like that I had signed up my payment to get automatic drafted out of my account. It allows me to call them one day ahead of time and pay them myself. So that works out all so well.

ProtectMyCar is the worst insurance in this world. The people that you talk to are uneducated and they have no business background, no idea what you’re calling for. As soon as I sell my truck, I’m dumping the insurance and I will never use it again. I had the truck fixed a month ago and had to come up with my share. They said they would just send a corporate credit card and will get it paid right away. Two weeks later, I went in the shop to see if they got paid and they said that ProtectMyCar won’t answer the phone. Then when you call, you don’t even get the same person. You get somebody that has no idea what’s going on so you would have to explain the whole situation again.

It’s a nightmare insurance. They have screwed us out of so much money. It’s ridiculous. When we were traveling in North Carolina, we had to get our air conditioning fixed and they said that I can just go somewhere and have it fixed. But when the shop called them, Brian, the rudest individual I've ever talked to on the phone, blew us off. They refused to pay for it. We had to shoulder the $960 so we could continue traveling because we were on a schedule and we had animals.

I once had a conversation with a lady about the money that we lost. She said she would talk to people and see if she can get our money back. But that has been two months ago and I haven’t heard from anybody. I will not call them because if I do, I have to start from square one and again explain to somebody that has no clue about anything. I hate ProtectMyCar. I have told all my friends and they have told their friends to not take these people. Save your money, go somewhere else.

I had to go all the way to Killeen to rent a car. It also would be nice if the rental car could be extended for certain situations. Other than that, I’m pretty satisfied.

The beginning was kind of rough because for the first 30 minutes, I was the middle man between the service advisor and making phone calls, explaining what the situation was. So I was stressed out already because of the fact that my issue was going on. The process worked out just fine. At the end with the final bill and everything, it was great and I had no issues. I still have to send in my reimbursement to the car rental. I would definitely refer Protect My Car to someone else. In fact, I’ve talked to my mom, my sister and my girlfriend about it, and we’ll see when we can get the ball rolling.

ProtectMyCar called me about buying a policy for $1000 and they kept coming down on the price until it reached $25. They gave me a 30-day trial. I told them how old my car was because they have a no pre-existing condition. I said, “Well, if something breaks, the car has 162,000 miles on it.” It’s been wearing out for the last 10 years.

I had a problem and asked them whether the shop would have to use their parts because it says that they try to get the price down to half the price and save half the money. None of the shops would do any work if they had to use somebody else’s part. It was $850 which didn’t even include one of the parts. It would’ve been over $900 at Sears but the shop that I took it to was $600. They thought that that was a really good deal to begin with. The shop was saying "Once you use it, you’re stuck into paying that $3000. You can’t cancel it." I talked to the company that they’re selling and they said. “No, absolutely. It says right there you cancel at any time.” I believed them and so I went for it. But they had to call ProtectMyCar to get an approval before they start to work.

The other thing was that I have half the money since I paid ProtectMyCar, and then they pay the shop. They said, “Well, if you pay them and they never pay us, you’ll never get your car back.” Anyway, I paid them, they paid the shop and I got it for half-price. Since they’re tax exempt, we didn’t have to pay tax so that saved us another $40. When it’s done, they pay the other half. It’s a little weird but it worked out really good and it was well worth it.

ProtectMyCar has been a great help on the two repairs I've had done on the car. I liked it but I thought it offered more coverage than it did. The sales rep didn't explain how my vehicle was covered. When I was getting my oil changed, they said they will pay the oil change completely no matter what it was. But when the attendant put the number in to call the place, the warranty only covers for a regular one. I have so many extra miles on my Jeep so I get high-grade for it and it isn't covered. Then I had the radiator fan on my car done, but again the warranty only covers 25% and I have to pay the rest. It blindsided me, but still, any help at that time was better than none ‘cause I didn’t have $500.

Ambassador policies were created for vehicles that do not qualify for standard breakdown coverage, because of excessive age or miles, or pre-existing conditions. Ambassador policies are less expensive than standard extended warranties and appeal to those on a limited budget.

Ambassador policies provide free oil changes, free tire rotations and a significant reduction in repair costs, They also come with towing, 24 /7 roadside assistance and rental car benefits.

I just tried out ProtectMyCar and it made things better for me. They initially sent my son promotional information and then they called him about it. He told them that he doesn't have a car in his name, so he had them talk to me. I told them I don't have any problems on my car but if it's something that can give me peace of mind, I'll go for it. So we went through all the processes and I got their 50/50 plan, which is saving me a lot of money. I have put it in my car and we'll add it to the one my husband and I will get in the future. I'm getting what ProtectMyCar said they were gonna do and I like their service. When I called to submit a claim, they worked on it right away. They immediately told me to take my car in the garage of my choice, let the garage call them and they'll file the claim. Everything was right on time. I will recommend them to people.

However, when I first used them it was complicated and confusing because we can't get a hold of anybody in their office. Because of that, my auto mechanic became worried and skeptical instead of trusting the process. I did worry, too, since I paid upfront and I was also struggling with always getting someone different to talk to. But it worked out and the outcome was good. Remember, policies are intended to help with unexpected breakdowns of the most costly components. Maintenance and wear and tear items, like batteries, cables, tires are not covered. That keeps the policy cost low and available to you for those unexpected repairs. You can see the need to replace these items and plan for that. You never see a breakdown coming.

We hope this helps you understand your policy a little better.

Some components are not covered and for a very good reason. If we covered every single component of your vehicle, the cost of the policy could easily be three or four times what you are paying for it. Most people would be unable to afford such coverage. We cover the components that are most likely to break down and for the most part are the costliest to repair, as your experience proves.

I got an auto warranty from Protect My Car based on user reviews. The claim process was easy but getting my car fixed was difficult. First of all, we had to wait two days for a part to arrive. They wouldn't use the part the dealer had because it was too expensive. But when the part finally arrived after two days, it was broken. So, they had to send another part which came after another two days. It took a long time, about a week, to get our car fixed. It would've taken the dealer just two days to fix the car since they had the part on hand. Anyway, after the repair, everything's working with the car. I've had two repairs and they both cost over $1000, so I had to fill out a form to give them permission to charge my credit card, and then fax it to them. That was a bit of a hassle because I had to be near a printer, fill out the form, and print it out. I only saved the minimum in both cases.

Protect My Car was the only company that sent me something in the mail when I purchased my vehicle, and I got an auto warranty from them. I've filed a claim with them over the phone. The claims reps were all right. But I didn't appreciate one thing. According to my policy and our agreement when I signed up for the program, the repair cost was supposed to be paid for half-half or 50/50, but I ended up paying more than they did.

We were originally given one quote and told that the repair cost was going to be $2000. But when they had finished doing everything, the repair cost ended up being $1600, lower than the initial quote they gave. Since they wanted me to pay my half upfront, I had already paid $1000. So, something did not come out right. It was not half-half. I ended up paying $1000 and they only paid $600. I didn't appreciate that. I felt like I didn't get what I was supposed to get.

I did try to fight to have my extra $400 or $300 reimbursed. But I was told some crap like "We negotiated with the auto mechanic to lower the price," so basically I'm paying for them to negotiate for lower prices. But other than that, they did honor and pay for my three day car rental. I did get reimbursed for that. But I didn't benefit from the oil changes and the tire rotation. Nevertheless, I'd recommend Protect My Car because they did help me.

The whole reason why I purchased from them was to cover anything I didn’t know my car had. I lost about $600, but I got ProtectMyCar shortly after that. I've had good experiences with them so far. I used them recently to do the motor mount in my car, and they covered it. All I paid was the deductible, which was amazing, but they should cover a little bit more. They don’t cover as much as the other coverage I had. I was a little disappointed because the information that they send doesn’t tell me what components are covered. I find out when I go to the dealer. I'm not super happy, but I'm satisfied with what I have because they saved me a big chunk of change that I would've had to pay out of pocket up front versus the payment I make with them monthly.

I was speaking to a gentleman over the phone and he gave me some details about the extended warranty that I felt comfortable with. Filing a claim has been fairly easy. ProtectMyCar told me to take the vehicle to the dealership and give the dealership their contact information.

My only experience is them not willing to pay for certain things that I had the understanding that they would pay for. On top of that, the rental car fee is somewhere around $36 a day, and most rental, I can't even get an economy car for that much in New York State, or a subcompact. Being a family person, the vehicle that I have insured with them is my 2005 Tahoe, which is a large vehicle. I've carried my family around in it all the time and if I need something that's comparable to 2005 Tahoe, I can't get it, I'll have to pay an astronomical amount of money for something to be at least somewhat close to my 2005 Tahoe.

These guys lie a lot because when they offered me their insurance, they said they're gonna pay for everything. No matter what happened to my car, I will just pay a $100 deductible. But when I submitted a claim, they made too many excuses and they refused to pay, then eventually paid just half of my claim. They said, "No. You were supposed to do this. You were supposed to do that." I won't take any car insurance again because all the time they say one thing and when I have the problems, it's another story again.

I bought their insurance because the car doesn't have too many miles and the car was okay. When I submitted a claim, it had 55,000 miles on it. They told me "Oh, we're gonna take care of it. Oh, call tomorrow. Oh, call later today or let me see what I can do." Things like that. They find excuses. The week before I filed the claim, I took the car to the dealer and they said everything was fine. But after a while, I started having problems with the electronic sensor. When I took it to the dealer again, they said the transmission sensor costs $1,500 and it needs to be replaced. I said, "Okay. No problem. I have insurance."

So, I send it to the dealer and tell them to it. Then when I put the claim, ProtectMyCar started making big arguments, like "Because you don't change the oil at 39,000 miles." The days went on and I said, "I did the oil change. I took the car for an inspection before I bought it and everything was fine. And when you called me, I tell you everything and you say "Yeah, that's fine. No problem. We'll take care of it." I sent them all of the information they needed yet they still refused to pay me. I gave the dealer the go signal to fix the car even though ProtectMyCar doesn't want any of it because I have to fix it anyway.

I told them "You know what? If you don't wanna pay, it's fine. I don't wanna fight anymore." One guy said, "No, let me see what can I do for you and I'll call you back." I don't know what he did but finally, after a month of fighting with them, they said they were gonna give me money. However, they sent me a little more than $900, which was half of the cost. It was better than nothing, but I told them I'm going to cancel the insurance because if I have another problem it's gonna be the same. If I pay every month, it's about what they're gonna spend if I have a claim because I pay for the oil change, brakes, tune-ups, everything that I expect I'm gonna take care of. I don't recommend ProtectMyCar to anybody.

I was searching online, made a few phone calls, and ProtectMyCar offered me a better deal as far as making payments. I had an actuator go bad, which wouldn't open the tailgate, so I called about it and I said that it probably should be covered. Just need to know for sure if it's the problem. I had to take the car to Mercedes and have them look it over, and they said it was the problem. But they also found another issue in the engine area with a leaking power steering pump. So they said they would call ProtectMyCar and deal with it.

Mercedes came back and said ProtectMyCar will cover the power steering pump but not the hoses, and they're not going to cover the solenoid or the actuator for the rear hatch. I got a little upset, so I called ProtectMyCar and explained to them all the actuators are covered on the car. I got a different person who said "That was a new guy. He didn't understand the terminology of what the dealership was telling him. Yes, that is covered." So the problem ended up being covered so the only thing that wasn't covered were the hoses for the power steering pump. Everything is fixed and I had to pay the $100 deductible and then the difference as far as them not covering hoses, which they should have covered because that's part of changing the power steering pump.

It was easy to make payments for my extended auto warranty. It was also easy to file a claim. This is done through the Ourisman dealer, not through me. I called ProtectMyCar about two months ago and asked them about an issue in the car, but they said that it's not covered because it's not with the motor or engine, and I understood.

They don’t answer so I just approve the repair and get the money back when I send the invoice. However, I’m having an issue right now with one of my protections. They’re supposed to be the lowest-priced warranty or get 25% reimbursement. We sent a couple of invoices but I haven’t seen the 25% reimbursed.

I actually started with ProtectMyCar when they were still known as Precision, then they changed to Solace, and now they are known as ProtectMyCar. It has been a pretty smooth experience from them for the most part. The only issue that I seem to run into is they insist on sending their own parts to the dealer, which is a delay for the customer.

When I took my car to the Nissan dealership, they did not provide a rental car. ProtectMyCar covered it and it ate up my warranty pretty fast that way. I think I had a $10,000 limit. I burned through that between the actual work done and the rental car time at $30 a day. Because then I had to wait like three more days or whatever for the part to get there. They sent the part, but it was damaged when it got there. Then they went to backorder, so it took quite a while. That part is kind of inconvenient for the customer.

Well, I worked it out with them anyway and I've reached out for the new policy. Their customer service seems to be pretty decent. The dealership didn't have a lot of issues with the communication with them. But their price could always be better. It's not super, super cheap. You don't have it like your loan that you can normally borrow like you would when you bought your car.

Some repairs, by their nature, do take additional time to complete correctly. We want to make sure that the repair is done right the first time. The last thing you would want is to have to take the car back in a few days to have the repair done over. ProtectMyCar's website is a little bit more organized than other providers. Before I purchased the plan from them, it seemed like I had a lot of places my whole car was covered but there’s a lot of things that aren’t really covered. When I asked the agent over the phone what was covered and what wasn’t, he was pretty vague. But I still purchased the plan and I’m hoping that none of those not covered would end up going wrong with my car because I’m going to have to pay out of pocket, which if I had known, I wouldn’t have purchased the warranty. I’m satisfied with the plan because it’s covered my car for the two repairs that I’ve needed but if I end up having one or two more repairs before I sell the car, the plan would probably break even. Now, it’s cost me more to have bought the plan than the repairs to my car but if I have a problem again, then it will probably be worth it.

Thank you for your comments. You are right. You never know when your vehicle may break down or what components may fail. That is why it is so important to have protection on your vehicle.
Policies are intended to cover the components most likely to fail and are, for the most part, the most expensive to repair. When you consider the price of the coverage compared to the cost of repairs, it is easy to see how cost effective this coverage really is.

I go to my mechanic’s shop and pick up the vehicle.

One time on my Suburban, ProtectMyCar called me to pick up my vehicle. A week later my mechanic’s shop called me back and told me that something wasn’t changed. So they said something about some part of the transmission that ProtectMyCar didn’t cover which I didn’t really understand. But I ended up paying it because I’ve been with my mechanic’s shop a long time. But it wasn't ProtectMyCar's fault. I also had a rental car because my transmission went out on my truck. I submitted the paperwork but they guy said he did not get it so I did it again and I'm just waiting for that. ProtectMyCar is really good and I hope it just continues that way. I've had ProtectMyCar auto warranty for five years. I drive a 2005 BMW X3 and the myriad of BMW dealers have always worked very well together with them to resolve all of the car repair issues. They've replaced the air conditioning, the crankcase, and the ball bearings when I submitted claims for these. BMWs are notorious for windows going out, and every window on the sunroof has gone out, and they fixed that, too. They've fixed a whole bunch of hoses and fans. My car is 11 years old and, for me, this warranty has been worth the money that I pay for it. Every time that I've taken my car in, the repairs would cost from $3,000 to $4,000, and I've only paid my $100 deductible.

However, there are only a couple of things that they wouldn't cover and these weren't that big of a deal. They wouldn't fix my side mirror and the radio. The CD works, but it's just that the CD gets really hot. They also wouldn't fix my side window. The window was kind of foggy. But they say that's just a defect with the car because of the car's age, and that's not anything that they can fix.

Whenever I have claims, the BMW dealership files these for me with ProtectMyCar. I haven't ever had to use the 24/7 road assistance or rental car benefits because BMW always just gives me a car. Sometimes, ProtectMyCar has my car for a really long time because it's low on their priority to fix. But I'm driving around in a brand new BMW, so I don't care. I would hesitate to take my car to a different BMW dealer, so it's as much the dealer as it is the car protection services. But I really liked the way that ProtectMyCar worked with the dealer. Find yourself a reputable dealer, a dealer who will work with ProtectMyCar, and then you'll have a good pairing.

He said he was gonna throw me out of the insurance because I asked him a truthful question and he didn't want to explain much to me back. Then when the test on the car was done, I was told that something was already broken before so only half of the job was done. The mechanic that did the work didn't change something that needed to be changed. It is causing problems right now and I'm just fed up.

I was supposed to take it to another mechanic guy but then, I took it to another repair place that specializes in Mercedes-Benz as I was having some problem with electrical overall, and did some work on it. From there, I'm gonna have to pay for it and as soon as I get some money, I'm gonna take it back to the other mechanic guy and he worked with the insurance. ProtectMyCar did the job the last time, but right now, I'm gonna take back the car to the shop, and take the booklet, and ask someone to look at it and see what they're responsible for to fix the car for me.

In the beginning, I didn't really know how to make my ProtectMyCar policy work since when my car had broken down, there was a misunderstanding on who pays who first. I was at the Honda dealer where I always took the car. My car had an overheating and the guys at Honda told me it was my thermostat, so they ended up changing it. However, the car kept on overheating. They said they can't fix it so they have to send it to a Land Rover dealer. The bill was almost $2,000. ProtectMyCar made a deal with the Land Rover dealer in which the Honda dealer was supposed to take care of for me. Then ProtectMyCar started calling me, saying they need $1,500 from me since it's the deal they made with Land Rover. I told them I don't have that cash or check with me then and I thought that Honda was gonna take care of the bill since they made a mistake about what the car's issue was.

I called Honda and they told us that they'll write a check for the bill. Next thing I know, Land Rover was calling me saying that they still have not received a check. They were kinda mad since the car has been sitting there for a week and I had one of their loaners. They thought upon calling ProtectMyCar that I was going to pay ProtectMyCar the $1,500 then they will, in turn, pay the Land Rover dealer. I thought it really sucks if it will happen to me all the time. I ended up paying Land Rover directly using a credit card and within a couple of hours, Land Rover called us to say that ProtectMyCar paid them and my car is ready. Hence it was a big misunderstanding but it got taken care of. When I've done oil changes however, I email one of the guys from ProtectMyCar with all my receipts and within a week or two, I get a check back. It's working out. It was just a little hiccup in the beginning, but I've recommended this warranty to some buddies of mine.

I've been having issues with ProtectMyCar. I had my transmission go out and they replaced it. Then I had the same issue after two months, so I took my car back to the auto shop. They went through it and found that it was the same problem that I had with the other transmission, and they said it can either be replaced or repaired. The auto shop guys told me that the transmission that ProtectMyCar gave us had a 12 month manufacturer's warranty. I said, "Okay. So it shouldn't be any problem then." But they said that ProtectMyCar don't want to honor replacing the transmission again.

My car was at the shop for several days. They said that they'll get my car apart and if ProtectMyCar denies my claim, it's going to be on me. So, I said, "No. I'm not gonna leave my car up here in pieces." They said, "Yeah, we can't have it on our list in pieces. You're gonna have to get it repaired or put it back together. We'll charge for the evaluation, the diagnostics. We'll put it in the parking lot." I had my car towed back to my house. The auto warranty service says they're going to send an inspector out to inspect the car.

So, right now, the car's been sitting in my house. I'm trying to save a bit of money, just in case, when I take my car back to the auto shop, because once they get that car in that lift and get it torn apart, and the inspector says that they're not going to honor the warranty on my transmission, then I'm going to have to come up with money to pay for my transmission and be able to at least get my car fixed somehow.

This shouldn't have been an issue if the auto shop said that the transmission that ProtectMyCar gave was bad because it only lasted about six months and it had a 12 month manufacturer's warranty. I don't understand why it's such a hard process of going to get the warranty honored from where they bought it from and get me another transmission in my car so I can have it up and running. They're making it a big deal now. I was going to buy warranty from them for another car that I have, until this happened. Now, I'm not going to do that because of the issue I'm having with them. I got a transmission with a warranty that they won't honor, and it's not even their warranty, but that of the manufacturer of the transmission. So, I don't see why that's an issue or why it's even a concern to them.

I didn't have any problem with ProtectMyCar when submitting the claim, but I was disappointed that when Honda gave them the price for the repair of the transmission and for the engine mount, they only gave me a rental for five days and they took a long time to deliver the transmission, so I had to wait. I had to argue and fight with them because they brought the transmission late. Then I had to wait another three days for Honda to finish working on the car. But that's the only problem I had with Protect My Car.

Thank you for your comments. We do regret that the shop's repair time exceeded your expectations. The claim was approved and paid for as soon as the work was completed. We are glad that this one repair has saved you over $2,500, more than three times the cost of your premiums to date. Not a bad deal by any means. We do hope that on reflection you will see how valuable the policy has been to you and will be again. We do apologize for the time it took to get the repairs done correctly.

ProtectMyCar offered me a flexible payment plan so I went with them. On a small claim, it was no problem. But then I had a bigger claim and they tried to deny my claim for kinda of a bogus reason. It started with one representative and once they put it in for approval, they claim that a separate company takes the claim and another one approves and pays the claim. When it was put in to the other company, they denied it. The claim was about $3,000 and I had a feeling that was gonna happen so I researched with them, fought them on it, provided them evidence of exactly what went wrong, and after I had to pay more than my deductible, they then agreed to pay the claim. I’m not too happy about it, but it was better than paying the full amount.

I got a call from ProtectMyCar. The person I spoke with told me that a range of electrical repairs would be covered under the policy and I said, "This is a good policy." So I asked around about Protect My Car and the feedback that I got was that they were not a fraudulent type of business. But once I started the plan with them, it seems like what was quoted to me isn't covered. I have a Mercedes S550 and I don't deal with anybody but the dealer. The service manager at Mercedes in Sacramento deals with ProtectMyCar and when I took my car in for repair, he and I both thought that the repairs would be covered under the policy, as quoted before by the rep. But Protect My Car didn't cover these repairs. So right now I'm not too happy with the policy.

I believe I've also used their tow service. My car wasn’t running and I had it towed to the dealership.

It took almost two weeks for ProtectMyCar to repair the vehicle after I filed the claim. Initially, I contacted them and told them what I've got. The vehicle went to the dealer and the dealer diagnosed it. I knew what was wrong before the vehicle got to the dealer but we've got to wait three days for a claim guy to come down and confirm it. Then ProtectMyCar has to find the component, ship it to the dealer, and in the meantime I'm without a vehicle.

The vehicle had a transmission problem and it had to be replaced. The mechanic at the dealership said the oil coolant had metal filings in it and it need to be replaced and the extended warranty didn't cover that. It was a bad deal because if they didn't replace the oil coolant, then it will ruin the brand new transmission. It cost me $300 for the oil coolant out of my own pocket and I thought ProtectMyCar should take care of that because I'm paying them $100 a month. Also, two weeks was way, way too long. I run a vanpool with my vehicle, so every day it doesn't run, it cost me money.

I talked to ProtectMyCar and liked what they were saying so I went with them. The people that I worked with were nice and the original technician who started off the process was very helpful. However, I didn't like that there were so many days to go through the process that I ended up having to pay quite a bit out-of-pocket for a rental car. I also didn't get a full understanding of that when the insurance was sold to me. They only reimbursed part of it.

The dealer where I took my car to was slow in contacting ProtectMyCar. It seemed like nothing was really being done to expedite it for me. It was down there a week before I even got any word on whether something was gonna be done with my car. It took them three weeks to put a transmission in my vehicle. But then, the dealer was saying ProtectMyCar wasn't gonna do one thing. Then I had to call the technicians myself before I was able to get a resolution.

Another issue is that the original technician was saying one thing and then another technician that wasn't him or a supervisor was saying something else. I'm gonna try to follow up with the Bureau of Automotive Repair on the dealer. I feel like I did all the legwork on trying to get my car repaired. I did not think that I was buying into an insurance where I had to keep calling ProtectMyCar to make sure the dealer called and to make sure my insurance company got in contact with the dealer.

The original technician from the dealership said that in my contract, the issue is covered and the most I have to pay out-of-pocket is the $100 deductible but the guy from ProtectMyCar said it was not covered. The original technician had to call and tell ProtectMyCar that everything is supposed to be done. Had it not been for the dealership and one of the technicians, I would've paid $600 or more to get my car. One would get screwed around by ProtectMyCar if he/she doesn't have a warranty through them.

That’s why I got the best one that they had, because I wanted to make sure that if something goes wrong, they're going to have to fix it. They fixed some motor mounts in my car and the dealership told them the things that were wrong with it. The problem I had with it was there was a motor mount that they didn't fix. The dealership told them that it was bad, and they refused to pay for it. I can't understand why they didn't and I'm still upset about that. If that mount goes, they're gonna have more payments come in and if something happened with the engine, it will loosen it.

Covered repairs are approved based on the estimate supplied by the shop. With respect to your repair, the shop repaired the engine mounts that had failed. The policy paid over $1,830 on that repair. Although the shop did notice that a rear motor mount may need replacement at some point, it was not part of the work the shop performed. When that repair is required, it will also be covered.

In the end, it worked out. I have all my payments set up automatically with them. At first, submitting a claim with them was smooth, but there were a few bumps on the road. They said the value of the car was less than what the repairs were. They would only cover the repair up to the value of the car, and the value they put on the car was a lot lower than what the car was valued at. I didn’t appreciate that.

Also, I had to keep calling the repair people back to get the guys to come out to approve the work. I was happy that everything got done, but it took a lot of effort and prodding to get it done. It was not so much on my part because the repair people did all the work, which I was grateful for. When the repairmen need an approval in doing a certain thing, they would have to call ProtectMyCar who will then say that they would call them back, but they would never get back to them. They had to call ProtectMyCar five times before they could get somebody to come out and approve the next step of the repair. Other than that, my stuff got done, so I’m satisfied.

There are some things that aren't covered that I thought should be covered. There have been three times that they turned me down for things that really needed to be repaired. Right now, I'm riding around with windows that cannot go up and down and they will not cover it, because they don't cover electrical. I usually go directly to the dealer, and the dealer told me I should have never gotten a warranty from them. So for that reason, I stopped with them.

I also wasn't thrilled with the payment arrangements. I wanted to pay twice a month and bi-weekly with my pay, but ProtectMyCar was not capable of doing that. For some reason, they took double payments randomly, so I had to go off of automated payments and I told them to send me an invoice which I don't pay. But they are not gonna take automatic payments anymore because they can't seem to handle that.

But I had one major expense that ProtectMyCar was able to cover, which saved me a bundle. I didn't use the rental car coverage, but it's been very good. They were only gonna cover it for X amount of days and I called them back and I said they were gonna have my car for this long. They increased the days for the amount of time that they have my car, and I was pleased with that.

There's a lot of things ProtectMyCar.com don't cover and I wish they would cover, for the most part, everything to be more worth the payment. But, overall, I can't complain. It's worth having the warranty.

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your concerns. We do cover the components most likely to break down and are, for the most part, the most expensive to repair. No policy covers the entire vehicle. We make sure the policy cost is affordable while still providing the protection you need.

Thanks again for your comments. Please let us know if you have any questions or if there is any way we can help you.

    Claims Handling

My neighbor had ProtectMyCar and he liked it, so I wanted to get it. I've only filed one claim and this company told me there are hard people to get across to get a claim done. The rep said being that he has other people that had claims through him, they knew him and it made things a lot easier. He said it's not fun to try to collect money from them, which I wasn't happy to hear. But I called ProtectMyCar and I had no problems with them. They gave me a claim number and then I gave it to the company that was doing the work for me and it was taken care of. I don't know what it would have been had they not worked with this other company before, but since I knew them, it went pretty smooth.

I'm not impressed with ProtectMyCar. We got some things taken care of but I'm very, very dissatisfied. I had my warranty for about a year and a half and my first claim was for my gas tank and at that time I didn’t know if it was covered but they covered that. Fast forward about three months later, my transmission went out on my way home from work. I knew that that should be covered. With the holidays, weekend etc., I had my car towed to the dealership on January 3rd the next week. They told me it would be a couple of days before they could get to it because they were bombarded with cars during holiday weekend.

On January 5th, two days after I had the car towed there, the dealership rep called me and said that he called ProtectMyCar and had trouble getting the car fixed. And I went from January 5th until January 12th before there was any type of correspondence back from the warranty company and that was just for first contact. I've already been in a rental car for eight days, and the warranty company only paid for a maximum of seven days. So I'm already out of money. There was a lot of miscommunication between the dealership and ProtectMyCar to the point where I actually had to call them myself to find out exactly what it was that they want. We went another five to six days before the warranty company got the information.

And then ProtectMyCar finally sent a representative out to check my car to verify everything that the dealership said happened. I got my car back on January 26th and when I picked up my car, one of the other repairs that they did on my car put my car back in the shop for another covered repair by the warranty. They messed up my throttle body when they installed a new one because I paid out of pocket for that. So I ended up taking my car back two days later. I got my car back on February 23rd. There were long communications between ProtectMyCar and the dealership to the point where I ended up paying for a rental car with the combined repairs which meant I was out of about $600. I am very unsatisfied.

I got a call from ProtectMyCar's representative offering various policies a couple of years back, and my experience with them so far has been pretty nice. I used them a couple of times and everything was seamless. I usually go to the Honda dealer and they just call ProtectMyCar and everything gets approved or depending on what my coverages are. I would definitely recommend them.
