My original car warranty ended about a year ago and I have been with Protect My Car since then. I am so happy I decided to sign up with Protect My Car because I have had 2 claims this year. The first time I needed to use them I was stuck on the side of the road and they had a tow truck there very quickly. Both claims went very smoothly and the repairs were done quickly. I have saved quite a bit of money out of my pocket since I had the coverage. I would definitely recommend Protect My Car.

Please call us anytime you have any questions or if there is anything we can do to help out.

I recently signed up with Protect My Car and it was such an easy process. The representative was very helpful and efficient. I was able to set up automatic payments to come directly out of my account. I have not had to make a claim yet but if the process is anything like the initial setup I will be very satisfied.

I took my Policy out with Protect My Car 2 years ago. After leaving my car for two weeks, in August I came back to see it was leaking transmission fluid and seemed to have problems shifting. I parked it called a couple of friends of mine who are ASE Certified on what it could be and maybe just check gasket and fluids before deciding to take it to a shop. Well, none of them were able to look at it due to being busy from work and then the holidays. So, I called my insurance and had it towed to a shop, WHAT a MESS! I was told "We pay 100% of the cost. You only need to pay us back anything over the discounted rate". I do not see where that is "paying for it on a corporate card and my having to pay the $100 deductible." Well, To add insult to injury There was no discounted rate.
NOPE the total cost of the repairs was $310 and they paid only $100 of it and guess who had to pay the Majority of it? You guessed it, ME. Like I told them after paying my premiums for over two years now and the most of my discount they paid for my repairs was just a little over $110? I was better off keeping my monthly amount in a savings account and paying for the repairs altogether. This company is a rip off. To top it off? When I did give them the money to pay for the repairs at about 2 pm on Friday (repairs would take two hours) they didn't call the shop to authorize the repairs till I threatened reporting them. THEN a "supervisor" (the second one I might add) Called and authorized it but it was about 4 pm one hour before close, so the shop could not do the repairs until Monday since they are closed on the Weekend. Yeah needless to say I am not impressed with This company.

Your policy guarantees that we will reduce the cost of mechanical repairs by a minimum of 25%. As you noted, your repair bill of $310 was reduced by $100, almost one-third off the estimate. The reason it took two hours to get the payment to your shop was that the shop did additional work after you made your payment. That additional work was approved and paid for at the same time once all was completed.
You might be interested to know that with this protection you have already saved over $380. That is more than a year's worth of premiums on your coverage. W are glad that the policy is working so well for you. We hope you won't hesitate to contact us anytime you have any questions. Thank you for being a long time customer.

So my F250 the TCM went out. Took it to a shop of my choice like warranty says I can and it cost $949.08. So shop calls Protect My Car to put claim in and shop calls me to tell me warranty company needs to talk to me. So I call them to go over it as my warranty is I pay 50% they pay 50%. Well not 1 but 2 employees say it’s good to go and I had to pay my half to them now so being skeptical of it I did 453.00. Well 4 days go by I go to get my truck. Shop says I owe 259.00 still so I pay it to get my truck and call warranty back. Well they tried to tell me they changed the original bid. Well no they did not. I told them.
Well he could not tell me where they changed my bid. He goes and talks to someone and comes back on phone to tell me well they overcharged me and that’s why they didn’t pay the half. They would pay half of 600.00 and some odd dollars. Well so I had 2 options, I could take my truck somewhere else that would match. What warranty would want the price to be well at that in it's no longer my choice of shops it’s their choice and I’ve never known of a shop to lower their prices because a warranty company said it's too high. Mind you they charged me 1 hr of shop labor and parts and diagnostic like any shop and also warranty company told shop I was well aware of the money still owed and they talked to me about it again. A lie from them. So meanwhile I paid 712.00 out of 949.00 not half like I was told not once but 2 times like my warranty said.

We refunded the shop's overcharge, $259.32 to your credit card on January 10. Please check your cc statement to see the refund we provided.
We regret that the shop chose not to honor the invoice amount they provided to us. We are glad to have made it right for you, our valued customer.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

When they say that they're looking for a deal for you they're really not there looking for a deal for their self so when you get your estimate and it goes into them and they call the shop and tell them that they can find something cheaper and ask the shop if they'll go lower and match that price and if the shop does they actually pocketing that extra money. It's not you that they're protecting to give you guys the better deal like when I purchased it.
I was told that how claims works is that they will get the best deal for you and then know the best deal is for them not you and then when you have a supervisor that last that you on the phone because you say that that doesn't make any sense. That kind of makes you pissed for the original building was 3744.30 was their quote. They got them to go down to $3,320 so out of that I paid like 1870 something and they ended up paying like 1440 something and then when I called roadside they couldn't help me. I had to call claims and then by the time I called claims there was no one around they were closed

Your policy guarantees that you will pay no more than 50% of the shop's estimate for the repair. We accomplish that by reducing parts cost, labor cost and paying any difference to make sure you pay no more than 50% of the original estimate.
On your first repair, your shop quoted you $1,485.80. After reducing the parts and labor costs, your total cost on the repair was reduced by the guaranteed 50% and you paid only $742.90, as the policy promised.
On your second repair, an engine replacement, the shop you chose to use quoted $3,744.66. Your cost, as you indicated, came to $ 1,872.33, or 50% of the original quote. Again, the policy did exactly what it promised to do.
Those savings, together with the oil changes paid by the policy and rental car benefits you received has saved you a total of $2,164.15. Compare that to the cost of your premiums of just $65 per month. Not a bad deal by any means since you have saved three and a half times what you have spent the policy.
Please take a moment to analyse your savings compared to your cost for the policy then decide for yourself who has pocketed the greater savings.
We are always happy to go over this again with you as we have in the past to make sure you understand how the policy works.
We should also point out that roadside assistance is available 24/7, but after hours you need to call the roadside assistance number on your policy ID card and in your policy, as explained to you and is clearly explained in your policy. If you have any questions about how to get the assistance, please do not hesitate to call us.

I have had Protect My Car for about a year now and it has been well worth it. I had one claim and Protect My Car handled it impeccably. The roadside assistance sent a tow truck to pick my vehicle up very quickly. They towed my vehicle to the mechanic I chose. All I had to do was pay the deductible. They communicated with the mechanic to get the repairs done as fast as possible. The claims representative let me know the process and kept me updated. The process was quick, efficient and easy. I would absolutely recommend Protect My Car to all!

Wow I am so impressed with the customer service from Protect My Car. They helped me come up with a plan that fit my budget. I am on a fixed income but I have a friend that saved thousands by having their warranty. The representative was friendly and knowable but not aggressive like other companies.

Thanks so much for those comments. We know how difficult it is to pay for repairs while on a tight budget. That is one reason we encourage our agents to do everything they can to make the premiums affordable. We are very glad our staff was able to assist you in getting the coverage you need at a price you can afford. Thank you for choosing Protect My Car.

I only had to use them once but they didn’t pay for the whole thing. I had to pay the rest. But the customer service has been great.

So you will know, some states require the customer, not the carrier, to pay taxes and incidental expenses. That's why in some cases you may have to cover those costs directly.

I went with ProtectMyCar mainly because of the reviews that I got and their price. My first claim was for a radiator fan control unit which failed and was covered completely. The experience went through smoothly and was nice. I gave my ID card details to the merchant and they took care of it. I paid the deductible and everything which was on paper went well. I was very satisfied with that service and the coverage.
However, the second claim was not that great. I got the best coverage possible, but the car that I drive was not part of the plan and the claim was rejected. The car I drive has an additional component called pressurizer along with the fuel pump. It's a turbo engine and it's required for that. There was a complete assembly change and I expected at least the portion of the fuel pump, as well as that particular assembly on top of that, be covered but the whole bill was rejected and I paid out of pocket. Their reason was that my fuel pump went bad because the pressurizer went bad so they won't cover that.
Protect My Car should have covered at least the components that were listed in the listing. The technology is improving and more components are getting added to the cars. Protect My Car should upgrade coverage that way because new technology is coming. I pay the warranty monthly which was fine. I already spent a lot of payments and I'm now in a dilemma if Protect My Car is going to benefit me in the future or not. Nevertheless, Protect My Car does well. I will recommend them to my friends.

I called Protect My Car, had a discussion with someone over the phone, and I liked what they offered. I had a little issue with my car and the people who worked on it took care of everything for me. I gave them my information and the number that I had, and they took care of it from there. They told me everything was taken care of and they did not have any problem at all. I'm satisfied with that entire experience as well as the rate I'm paying. I'd be afraid now not to have the warranty because I know how expensive it is to have a car repaired. I feel pretty safe with having Protect My Car.

I’m driving a Mercedes and it’s never easy to have one. I purchased a warranty from Protect My Car and it’s good to have it. But by the time I got with them, they don’t cover most of the things that happened to the car. It’s easy to make payments with them, though. It comes out of my checking account every month. Their claims representatives were helpful too. I had a problem with the windows switch a long time ago, and I got it fixed. Everything went well and I’d recommend Protect My Car.

Protect My Car's pricing is good but I have some reservations since. When I initially purchased the plan, they didn't go in detail with what was included and what wasn’t. I didn’t find out until after I purchased the plan and then started to have some problems with the vehicle. As I read closer into the package that they sent me, certain things that I felt should have been covered under the plan were not covered. I have some issues with the suspension flat end and the rear end and they were not covered. They just covered the engine and the transmission. I presumed from the conversations that we had, they were giving me a lot more components that will be covered but did not.
I had made some minor claims and submitting those were difficult. I had an issue with a carpet and they had to go as high as management to get those things covered. When I took my car into the shop, they told me that with this car, I should have revved up the plank closer but I wasn't informed about that when I purchased the plan. The things that I was getting them fixed and assumed they were under the plan were not. So, I wasn’t eligible for a purchase plan or rental car. Also, the customer service wasn't interested in what I had to say.
Now, I've had another bad experience with this plan and I hadn't been able to get my car fixed other than from out-of-pocket. I should have really read first what I'm getting involved in especially when it costs thousands of dollars and I should have done more research. I'm not quite satisfied with Protect My Car and they are not something that I will recommend to a friend.

We do explain in detail the component coverage your vehicle is qualified for at the time you get the policy. We also provide a full 30 days to review the coverage after you purchase a policy with a full money back guarantee.
No policy, no matter who issues it, will ever cover the entire vehicle. Our policies list each and every covered component so you can see right up front what is covered and what is not covered. That is why the policy covered over $1,680 in repairs to your vehicle but could not cover the repair to the tensioner rod, as it was not a covered component.
As your vehicle ages and more miles are added it will be more and more likely that future repairs will be required. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will be to covered components. When that occurs and we are able to help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage.
Again, thank you for your comments.

I tried and picked the company that met my needs. Protect My Car has been willing to work with me on my payments plus the coverage that they had was somewhat better than others so I signed up with them. Their claims process was fairly easy and went smoothly, but I ended up paying for the car rental because the dealership did not put the amount of days that was actually needed to fix my car and they weren't able to get the repair done at the time they said they'll get it done. It wasn't Protect My Car's fault though. It was easy to make payments to them and their customer service was always there to help. But I hate their automated system that calls me constantly and it drove me up the wall. Other than that, they paid to get my car fixed which would’ve cost me so much more and it's still running well. The extended warranty is well worth having.

We do work hard to make sure this protection is affordable for everyone’s budget. It’s all part of not just doing the right thing, but doing things right for each customer.

I’m happy to know that I have my car covered by Protect My Car, especially because it is over 10 years old. This company called me at the right time. Their team was nice and they’re always helpful. Although there’s been a few things that weren’t covered that I thought should’ve been, submitting a claim with Protect My Car has been okay for the most part. Also, making the payments is easy because I’ve set it up on auto draft. When I got stranded in another city on the other side of the bridge, I tried to use Protect My Car’s 24/7 road assistance. I was on the phone with them for half an hour, waiting for them to get there. And then I found out that they couldn’t take me because they only gave about 5 miles and the bridge alone was about 10 miles. It was going to cost me $100 to get home. So, I just found somebody with AAA and got it done that way. That was a huge inconvenience.

I did some checking around and the warranty providers all seemed to be equitable and the pricing was the same. I was a little worried about Protect My Car because they went through a couple name changes. But in the end, it seemed to be an okay outfit. The $85 payment comes out of my checking account every month. Submitting a claim with them wasn't smooth, and it was maybe more with the dealer. I have a Subaru, and the dealer didn't have the equipment to do the diagnosis. The claim was for the air conditioning, and the clutch went too and it got misdiagnosed. I ended up paying for the repair several times and putting a lot more out of pocket than I thought I would. It really kind of frosted me. The car's sitting in the driveway and I got to work up the time to go down and hassle with it again and try to get it fixed. All in all, the warranty might be good for certain repairs. But for the overall impact, I don't know if I would do it again.

Claims are processed by the claims department from the diagnosis we receive from the shop you choose to take your vehicle to. We regret that the shop provided an estimate that was not correct, but it is the shop that does the diagnostic work, not our adjusters. Anytime you find that the shop you choose to use has not done a good job, call us. We work for you, not the shop and we are happy to assist when those situations occur.
By the way, as we develop new programs and benefits, we do give those programs their own individual names, just as vehicle manufacturers give different vehicles different names. It does not mean the company is any different.

Protect My Car's price was $600 and everything they were covering seems right up my alley so I signed up. I submitted a claim for my vehicle and the dealership had already said that the motor was going out, but Protect My Car said they'll cover it but they can't do anything until the motor goes out. So we took my car off from the dealership, drove it around, a month or two later the motor went out. There's no power in the motor. The dealership called Protect My Car back and they said they'd only cover so much for the motor because they go off the value of their car. My motor was running about $8,000 they wanted to give up for and I paid the other $4,000 or $5,000.
They don't tell people when they get the insurance, the value blue book is $2,000 and the motor costs $7,000. They were only giving me up to $2,000. The issue never got resolved because they warranted $3,995 and the cheapest motor they found was about $7,000 not including $2,000 labor. So I was going to be adding more money than Protect My Car was splitting up. Also, they didn't put me in a rental car because the motor needed to be put in before they can even do a rental car. I was left without a car and I'm still without a car. Protect My Car just says, "You have no worries" and they were only good until my car broke down. I will not go through them anymore.

This is the same rule used by insurance companies in determining whether vehicle that was in an accident should be repaired or totaled. No insurance company will spend $4000 in repairing a vehicle with a cash value of $2,000. It is an industry standard.
The difference is that we will spend up to that amount on EACH repair. That is why the coverage paid out over $1,650 in the five repairs prior to the engine failure. That is far more than the premiums paid in on the policy and represents a huge saving to you in repair costs before your engine quit for good.
We are glad the policy saved you so much more than than the policy cost you.

ProtectMyCar called me after I filled out my information online. It sounded like a pretty good deal that ended up not being so at all. I sent my car to the Ford dealership and this dealership sent ProtectMyCar the paperwork. ProtectMyCar originally told me it was something that wasn’t covered even though I took the policy to the Ford service manager who said it clearly was, and so he had to write them a letter. It took a while after that, and the manager said it’s ridiculous and cut-and-dry. He also said, “That’s why we steer people away from this auto market thing because you pay them, thinking you’re covered, and you’re really not.” It took them four months to get a claim taken care of that’s going to take in a week. I got frustrated and I don’t use them anymore.

It turns out that dealership never advised you to perform the manufacturers recommended maintenance to the transmission. That is what contributed to the breakdown in the first place. The dealerships only response was that they consider the manufacturers recommended service timetable a "guideline" only. We would have to wonder, as should you, whether the vehicle would have broken down if you had been advised by the shop to follow the guidelines.
We often find that shops that do not advise their customers to perform recommended service are simply waiting until the vehicle fails, thus allowing the shop to charge for a far more expensive repair than simply charging for the maintenance service in the first place. It is these shops that attempt to, as you said, "steer" their customer away from using professional help.
We are glad that we got the matter resolved and paid for the repair to the transmission.

My lady had found some guy who looked for something to protect our car. Protect My Car said in between the 30 days, we just needed a tow. If the car broke down, they would provide that for us and after 30 days, we'd be good to go. If we needed any type of work done to the vehicle, it would be a $100 deductible. We can go to a certified mechanic or anywhere we choose to. And that was pretty much good.
I have submitted a claim and it was awesome. Everything's a plus with me with those guys. When I went into a dealership, I told Protect My Car what was going on. They had the dealership to call them. The dealership didn't know that Protect My Car was that good. The claims department okayed them to start the vehicle. They finished it and they charged me what the deductible was. It was pretty fast. As far as the rental car I needed, I got the paperwork for it and gave it to Protect My Car. In not even 10 days, the check was in the mail. Everybody was pretty much on top of everything. However, if it was an engine problem or something like that, then Protect My Car would have a claim adjuster to come out in excess to that and see its actual problem. But other than that, Protect My Car is pretty good.
I owed them $225 but I told them I'm gonna give it to them on Friday 'cause I have moved and my kid's going to college. Which leads me to another problem I have with them. I didn't like that they call a day before to remind about the money I owe. It's annoying. But anything else is pretty cool. Making the payment's a really easy process and the lady was really nice on the phone. I told her they should give a memo that I would be paying on Friday, so they won't keep calling. They're pretty good about all of that good stuff, so I really like them. I'm gonna tell other people about the company.

I do direct deposit for payments and it's simple. When I had to submit a claim, I called them first to make sure I knew what I was doing. The lady told me to take my car to the dealership and to give them the number of the ID card that I have and that they'd take it from there. I just had to put my deductible down and that was it. It was very simple and easy.
The claims rep that I talked to was very helpful and friendly. They gave me fees adjustments to make it a lot simpler for me. I've had an auto warranty with Protect My Car for about a year and they've fixed my car twice. The dealer submitted the claim and Protect My Car paid on time, and everything was fine. But I need my invoice and I've been telling Protect My Car to send me the invoice every month. I couldn't pay this month because I don't have an invoice. I pay everything by check and I don't pay anything online. I've been calling them repeatedly about this. They have my PO Box address and they say the invoice is on the way, but I never got it so I'm past due with my payment. I also used their roadside assistance one day but they never showed up, even though I pay for that service. I've had a very bad experience with them.

I submitted a claim once to ProtectMyCar and it took a while because ProtectMyCar didn’t want to pay the amount once the dealer had told them how much it was. They went back and forth and the process took a couple of days. The whole time I was still able to drive my vehicle but it really needed to be fixed right away. The attendant from the car dealer had to fight with ProtectMyCar to fix my car so it discouraged me a bit because I’m paying my money monthly and I thought things were just going to work out without a problem. Also, one time, I couldn’t open my car about a couple of months ago so I’ve called ProtectMyCar. But it was on a Saturday and they were closed. So it was a friend of mine who had AAA that helped me.

My husband is an army vet so ProtectMyCar gave us a discount. It’s the reason we chose them over different auto warranty providers. I have submitted a claim and it’s about a problem with my car window. They took a while when I went to the dealership, but they were able to get everything they needed to fix my window. I paid $100 for the parts.
The claims process was easy enough. It was the gentleman at the car dealership who did it. I call them every month to make payments since I didn’t give them permission to take the money directly out of my account. Looking back, I did attempt to submit a second claim. It was a bit disappointing for me to find out from the mechanic that it wasn’t covered. I never heard from ProtectMyCar about it.

I’m in the car business so I know a lot more about the warranties. I’d spoken to a rep before when the company was still called Solace. When we got to ProtectMyCar, I ended up talking to him again, and the relationship that he and I had, as well as the pricing, absolutely made me choose them. I had one claim and for the most part, it was fine. I needed an air compressor for my car, a Mercedes. ProtectMyCar reps found the part, they sent it to Mercedes, and Mercedes put it on. It was a lot cheaper than what it would’ve cost me if I was strictly with Mercedes. The warranty was there for me when I needed it, like how it’s supposed to be, so that’s all that matters to me. They were good and I’ve already been recommending ProtectMyCar to friends.

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let us know. Thank you again for your very encouraging comments.

For years I’ve had a warranty with Protect My Car for several vehicles such as the Chevy Equinox and the Chevy Tahoe. I had the insurance and I could afford it, and it was very easy for them to take my money for the warranty payments. The Volvo Sedan was under their coverage, too, and it had something that kept on leaking. But they acted like they did not want to pay for the repair work and I went through pure hell getting them to pay for it. They took care of it eventually but they didn't take care of the other things that were promised in the Platinum plan that I got from them. After all of the years that I've been with them and the thousands of dollars that I've paid them, I’ve never used them for roadside assistance, rental cars or other perks and they put me through such difficulty with the sedan. I was disgusted and very dissatisfied with the experience I had with them. Also, they kept changing their name and coverage and I felt like I've been scammed. I will never again associate myself with a company like Protect My Car.

The policies are mechanical break down policies. That means that the policy will over listed components that break down, not things that simply wear out.. No policy covers wear and tear items, like gaskets, tires, spark plugs or other similar items that wear out as they are intended to do.
While we fully understand how difficult it can be on a tight budget to handle regular maintenance costs and replacement of wear and tear items. Remember that you can see these repairs coming as things wear out. You can almost never see an unexpected break down coming. That is the purpose for this coverage. It covers the unexpected break downs that will eventually occur.
We hope that on reflection you will see that the policy can significantly protect you when a break down occurs.

My husband has Protect My Car on his car and he told me about it. The only problem I had was the last claim. Instead of waiting for the invoice from the mechanic they paid him based on what they were told verbally. The problem with that is it turned out that the mechanic never did the work he was supposed to do on my car which resulted in my car in having more problems.
I'm on the dealership now. I have no car and I haven't been able to drive since June 17th because it turned out the timing belt, the stuff that they paid for, they never verified the work was done. It turned out the mechanics send the invoice after they paid them but they never verified the work. It turned out the work that was supposed to be done wasn't done on my car. And now, my car has more problems to the point where my engine is sitting on my seat because it turns out the mechanic did not only do the work properly but he caused more damage to it. I don't understand why they couldn't make the mechanic pay them back, and then cover my car because it's not my fault. I'm gonna need a new engine because the work wasn't done properly. And then, they're not covering so I have no car. Some people want to know where my car is parked on the side of the road, when it could have been avoided.

This was an unusual situation and we regret that the shop has put you through it.
We will be more than happy to assist in any way we can in any claim against the shop. We will stay in touch with you on this.

But filing the claim was easy and I had a very good experience with the rep I spoke with on the phone. It's also easy to do the payments because I did it with my debit card. I would still recommend them.

The repair to your vehicle included replacement of a motor mounts, and replacement of hoses and seals. Your policy is for mechanical component breakdown coverage. That is why the motor mount was covered, while the hoses and seals were not. We are very glad the policy was there to pay for the most expensive part of the repair and that it saved you so much money.
Your policy lists each covered component so there is no guess work as to what is covered. Items such as hoses, seals, tires and similar items are wear and tear items. They wear out, they do not break down. That is why a mechanical breakdown policy does not cover wear and tear items.

Protect My Car is an honest company. I had the warranty for almost two years and although I never had to use it, it was good to have because it was economical in case I had a breakdown. And it would be better to pay $56 a month instead of having to pay for the big thousand dollars for the transmission. The payments on the warranty were easy and it's deducted out of my account. Also, they encourage you to keep it because if you cancel, you pay in a single month. However, I canceled it because if the car broke down now I wouldn't need it. Overall, it's a pretty good deal and program.

The guy from Protect My Car sat down and explained everything to me about their extended auto warranty, and it all made sense. Making payments was easy because the guy was right there and he walked me through everything. But it was a different story when I started to use the warranty. I used it the first time for my Volkswagen Passat and that was a little difficult. I submitted the claim through the dealership. The dealership got permission from Protect My Car to do the repair, then they worked on the car.
But when I drove the car after the repair, the car had the same issue. It wasn’t running properly and I couldn't drive it. I couldn’t even press on the gas tank. So, I sent the car back to the dealership but I was charged the $50 deductible again. I said, "Why would I need to pay it if you're still fixing the same issue?" But the dealership guy said that Protect My Car had told them that I had to pay the $50 deductible again.
I also had an issue with another claim when I went to a Goodyear-type service center to get my Saturn Outlook fixed. Protect My Car said that they wouldn’t allow the service center to fix my car because I couldn’t provide them with the document that my car has had its 100,000-mile checkup. The dealership had told them that the car had all of its checkups but they couldn't find this particular document that Protect My Car was looking for. I talked with Protect My Car and explained to them that I'm in the Air Force and I needed to have my car fixed, but I didn’t have time to be going back and forth. I said, "You see that I could oil change it. I got a tune-up recently. So, I was going to take care of the car. Why can't you just provide the service?" They said, “Well, Sir, we can't provide the service because you have to show that this has been done”, but I said that I don't have time for that.
Another thing was that when I told Protect My Car to cancel my warranty for the Saturn Outlook, they told me that they’d waive it for me but I had to pay $50 to cancel it. They were now telling me stuff that the guy who signed me up didn’t tell me. It wasn’t explained to me that I had to pay to cancel the warranty and that I had to show that I've had checkups on a car in order to have work done on it. I've never had to do that before, from what I experienced with other extended warranty providers.

Thank you for your comments. We are happy to respond to your comments. The coverage paid for the repair and replacement of the vacuum pump on the passat. You paid the standard $100 deductible on that repair. No other claim was filed by any shop on any subsequent repair to the vacuum pump. The shop should have warranted both parts and labor for the repair that they did. If they charged you a $50 "deductible" that was their charge, not ours. Please review the policy. You will see there is no deductible required for any such work. Sometimes shops will charge such a fee when they really shouldn't. That they would blame it on the coverage company is simply not right. Don't ever hesitate to contact us if you have any questions whatsoever.

I had an issue with my car and they took care of the water pump. I also had a problem with the oil pan gasket, which wasn’t covered. I was a little bit disappointed with that because it didn’t cover seals. There’s a lot of labor involved when replacing a seal in that car. By itself, it was $3,000 to get that done. That was out of pocket. When I took my car in they had it for about a week. I had a loaner which was only like a dollar a day rental. The representatives were pleasant, friendly and helpful. They explained to me my contract and what was covered and what was not covered.
The price was fair and the coverage was good for what I need. Payments automatically come out of the account. That set up was good. I hadn’t really had to use it, other than that one time but Protect My Car suited my purpose. My experience was good and pleasant. I recommended it to a friend. He and his wife just bought a BMW.

My experience with ProtectMyCar has been good so far. There was a couple of things that might have been wrong with our car that they wouldn’t be able to fix, but I think it was more because our car is older and we don’t have that package. They wouldn’t cover that for us. Everything else is good. However, I have gotten complaints from people, not specifically for ProtectMyCar though, that they find using these warranties could be a pain in the butt.
Mechanics are pretty busy as it is and then they have to stop their busy schedule to work on the claims with the companies and it's not a five-minute phone conversation. Among other things, they get annoyed that they had to have a card number for this or part number for that, even takes longer sometimes to get stuff done. I have one person who told me they won’t use it anymore because of all these reasons. But I guess the warranties pay them quickly. And as for me, since I don’t really do the claim myself, I find ProtectMyCar reliable and quick.

I wanted a warranty. At that time, Protect My Car worked with me at a price which I thought was a good one and I could afford to pay. However, I had a terrible experience when I filed a claim with them. I was driving my Chevy Avalanche down the road, and all of a sudden, it went out. The engine was running and the truck just closed it to a stop. I got out and I looked at it—no potholes nor leaks. I called Protect My Car. They sent somebody out to pick the truck up and then took it to a Chevy dealer. I took the truck to a Chevy dealer in Swanton, Ohio, which is close to where I live and a certified Chevy dealer. Because that dealer sells and maintains Chevy's, they know Chevy trucks too. They checked the truck out, and said, "Yes. The transmission has gone." They called Protect My Car and I was told that this is a covered claim.
My truck stayed at McNeill Chevy at Swanton. Protect My Car decided that rather than to put in a new transmission into it, they would put a light quality transmission in my truck. And I told them at first, I did not like that because my truck had a transmission and it did not leak nor slip. I had no problems with it. I said I prefer them to replace the transmission. They said, "Well, we're going to do it this way." And then I didn’t argue anymore.
Protect My Car sent me a transmission that has bad gasket and seals in it. McNeill checked it all out and put it in my truck. Three months later, I got an oil change and my transmission's leaking. So I called Protect My Car back and I told them that the transmission they put in my truck is leaking. I was told that my warranty did not cover seals and gaskets. I said, "Wait a minute, the transmission in my truck did not have a seal or gasket problem. That is your transmission that you put in my truck. And it has a seal and gasket issue."
So back to McNeill, I said, "You call the warranty company, you talk to them about it." So Protect My Car went back and forth with McNeill. They finally sat down and McNeill said, "Look, we put a transmission in there, the seals and gaskets were all good. They all work and didn't leak." McNeill also said that if there was a problem, they wouldn't have put the transmission in and that the problem was that it's got fluid all over the place. Protect My Car argued with me for about a month about the seals and gaskets. I told them that I've never wanted their warranty on it and just fix the transmission. I have another two years on my warranty with Protect My Car. So I told them, "If the guy you bought it from doesn't cover it, you guys cover it."
After a good month of arguing and making numerous phone calls, the guys from Protect My Car weren’t talking to me and were refusing to call me back. When I finally got through them, the guy said, “We'll replace the seals but you're going to have to pay the deductible cash." I said, "Why am I going to pay another $100 deductible plus I got to replace all these fluids again?” I also said, "You guys bought the transmission from somebody who is a lame quality transmission guy and I had a certified mechanic put it in, and now it leaks, and now you're telling me this is my problem because my warranty doesn't cover gasket, seals, and fluids?" I ended up paying my deductible, and I also had to pay McNeill another $75 for the fluids. So three months later, after they put the transmission in my car, I had to put new seals and gaskets in it. I'm really not happy with the service and how Protect My Car did things.
I would not extend my warranty with them nor would go back to them for any other reason. After I paid almost $2000 for my warranty, I had to argue and fight to get them to fix the transmission. I have another year to go on and I breached. I threatened to go ahead and pull out of it. Protect My Car is a rotten company to work with. They do not stand up to what they do, and I would not recommend them to anybody for anything.

As your vehicle had over 130,000 miles on it, we replaced the failed transmission not with a "light" transmission but with one specified by the manufacturer. You were free to request any other transmission and only pay the difference on the cost, which you decided not to do.
We are very glad to have saved you over $3,500 on your repairs to date. That is more than twice the cost of the policy so it has worked out very well for you. We thank you for continuing to be a valued policyholder.
Thanksa gain for your comments.

I was going through car insurance and was looking at the market. I made some phone calls and ProtectMyCar gave the best offer. I went with them not only for the price, but also because they have the friendliest and most helpful representatives. Once, I submitted a claim on the phone and everything went smoothly. They told me I can take the car anywhere, give them the numbers and everything would be taken care of, and it was. While a couple of other places said I had to take my car to certain areas that they choose, ProtectMyCar lets me pick the shop and I liked that.
Also, payments for the extended auto warranty came out automatically which was easy as one, two, three to set up. The rental car benefits were good, too. While I had to pay for the car first, reimbursements came as soon as the paperwork was done. But what I didn’t expect was the towing. They said I only had three miles to take the car, wherever I had to take it, then I would have to pay. I would only be reimbursed for a certain amount of miles and I didn’t like that. Still, I was pretty happy with the experience. Going with ProtectMyCar was one of the best steps I've ever taken and I'd recommend them to a friend.

The policy does cover towing for up to ten miles or $100.

My experience with ProtectMyCar has been pleasant and easy. I have seen their ad and among the ones that I had checked out, I read that they have the best coverage for my money. I had no problems submitting a claim. I got hold of them very quickly. The shop that serviced my vehicle was in Miami. ProtectMyCar suggested that I use the towing service because while I can get the alternator charged up enough to get it cranked, I might get into some problems along the road. I had them call a tow truck and have the car towed to the Ford dealership.
The only real conflict was the part that I needed to repair the problem with the alternator. The dealership wanted on the alternator was substantially higher than what my car could get the same alternator for. But ProtectMyCar couldn’t get the part until Thursday. So the dealership decided to match the price, but they can’t get the part until Tuesday. My complaint on that was that they were going by their chart on how much time a job takes on whether they were going to pay for the car or not. They eventually agreed that ProtectMyCar will pay for one day, and then the service writer said that the Ford dealership would pick up the other day. That is something they need to put into full effect because although the policy says a certain amount of time, it needs to be reviewed on the individual case basis because it only takes that amount of time if the part’s right there.
Making payments is extremely easy and flexible. I’ve had a couple of times when I had a problem with my checking account. I simply had to call them to hold off for several days so it won’t cost me an overdraft fee. The last time I had to do it, they were supposed to hold off for a week, but they did it in six days so I got a charge at the bank. I let them go since it was my fault to begin with. Despite this, I have already recommended ProtectMyCar to a friend.

I did my homework and searched on the net and ProtectMyCar seems to be the best. But I had a rough experience a couple of times with filing a claim. There were a lot of issues with a problem between a rental of the car and the dealer. I was told that my rental would be covered as long as the car was in the dealer no matter the length of time. The dealer took a long time to fix my car twice and it was beyond my control. ProtectMyCar said that they would not cover the rental as it was beyond five days. I need solutions, not problems. I have enough problem when my vehicle was in the shop and the dealer didn't have the parts and had to request for them. When the parts got in, I had to be in line for the repairs and that took a long time as well. I was told by ProtectMyCar that if they didn't have the parts, they would get them, but that was not true. That was a lie in both occasions.
They needed to repair the computer that makes the car fire the engines and ProtectMyCar did not keep their promise in getting the parts. The second time was that they sent my gas tank for which they said they would get the part but never did. Finally, the supervisor talked to the dealer and ProtectMyCar paid for the rental in part while the dealer paid the balance. I was happy but it was a continuous fight for two months which is unnecessary. Because of this bad experience, I'm going to give ProtectMyCar the benefit of the doubt that the company will take care of me better next time. Getting my car fixed was something between the dealer and ProtectMyCar to get their heads together and get the part through. For a while, I thought that I would have to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars in rental out of pocket but ProtectMyCar took care of me beyond any means possible coming from excellent business.

Your policy provides rental car reimbursement for up to 7 days at $30 per day. As a gesture of goodwill since the shop kept your vehicle for over a week more than it should have, we authorized 12 days of rental car expenses. We were happy to do what we could to assist you. Bottom line, though, is we do not control the shops and the delays they may experience in getting a repair done. We are very glad that we were able to assist you with the cost and save you so much money.

Protect My Car called me a long time ago and I felt confident talking to them. I have a 2008 Mercedes and they offered me good protection so I went with them. Submitting a claim was good. They let me pick which shop I would go to as I service my car at the Mercedes dealer, so most of the time when I take it there, the dealer takes the information, then they contact Protect My Car, and the dealer tells me to pay the deductible. The dealer is good in taking care of my car. In paying the warranty, Protect My Car takes my payments out of my checking account directly. It was very simple and easy to set that up.
One issue I had is when I took my car to the dealer, they told me that there was a problem with the intake on the engine so I needed to have that fixed and take care of it. The intake is supposed to be part of the engine, but Protect My Car said that it's not, so it's not covered by the warranty. I had that problem fixed but it's still there. I also have to pay out of my pocket. Other than that, everything was fine. Overall, my experience with Protect My Car was fine and was okay with me. It's worth every penny.

Remember, no policy, no matter who issues it, will cover all components. Engines are made up of individual components. Most are covered, but some are not. Your policy lists each and every covered component so there is no guess work when a repair is required.

So far, I've only had one claim for a problem with the water pump, but it wasn’t covered and I had to pay out of my pocket for the repair. At first it was hard to submit the claim. I figured that if the claim was for the radiator and the same people had worked on it, then that claim would have been covered. That was disappointing. I decided I'll go ahead and chop it and so I talked to someone at Protect My Car. But they convinced me to stay with them and give them the chance. The person that I spoke with told me that I can get back in contact with him if I ever have a problem and he'll resolve it. Also, he said he would put me in for more oil changes.
Protect My Car should improve on their road assistance. If I'm broke down on the side of the road and there's someone I could ask anytime to give me a gallon of gas and the person that bought it should be included. When I had AAA I didn’t have that problem. AAA will just come out to tell you if you need gas and it's real good no matter the type of car you're in.

I maintain my payments very good on the credit card. I’ve used their roadside assistance about twice now—when the battery was down and when I needed help for the flat tire. There were a lot of miscommunication. We had to reach out to Protect My Car’s roadside assistance to see how far the other parties are coming to the place. So when I had to call, I had to give all the information all over again to make them understand. That's a painful part.

I've submitted claims to Protect My Car but nothing that I have submitted has been covered. I was told that things that were under the hood would have been covered. However, every time I bring my car to be serviced, Protect My Car has claimed that nothing that was wrong with the car is covered by their warranty. And so, I've been paying them every month for nothing.
I've also had a representative tell me that they would do the oil changes and the tire rotation for the remainder of my membership. But then at the end of 2016, I was told that it was only allotted for a year. I've been having a lot of issues with my car recently and I don't have the finances to cover it. While Protect My Car's roadside assistance has been okay, their maintenance perks haven't been so. Buying an extended warranty from them has been a waste of my money.

According to the history of your policy, you filed five claims, two oil changes, a tow, a repair to your alternator and a replacement of your catalytic converter. All of these claims were paid for by the policy with the exception of the catalytic converter. That claim was denied because the catalytic converter is not a covered component under your policy.
We hope that upon reflection you will see how much you have saved on repairs compared to the small premiums you have paid.
As your vehicle ages and more miles are added it will be more likely that future repairs will be required. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will be to covered components. When that occurs and we are able to help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage.
Again, thank you for your comments.

I’m very happy and pleased with Protect My Car. I saw them on a T.V. ad. When I called them, I learned that they have more coverages than what the other companies that I called cover. The people who helped me from this company were very courteous and professional in handling my situation. They treated me very well when I filed a complaint and when I needed something fixed on my car. They did it quickly and without hesitation. Submitting claims was a very swift process as well. Their reps told me to go straight to my dealer, where I bought my car, and they'd take care of everything.
When I first got it in, there was no problem making payments. But then I got laid off from my job and I went into the hospital. So now I'm on disability and I can't go back to work for a while. I'm only getting a small amount from some disability. I don't have the money to pay the premium on the policy, so I haven't been able to make the payments for a while. But looking at the prices, they were very reasonable.

Some of Protect My Car's stuff was awesome and they were different from anybody else so, I went with them. But after I used them, I figured out they are pretty much the same with anybody else. It’s not something that Protect My Car can’t do that I thought I could do but can’t do. I just thought it would cover more stuff than what it covered. But they say to read the fine print. I had a lot of stuff that I needed them for that they haven’t been able to handle. Then, the one thing they handled took a long time. I don’t know they have to go through so much to approve stuff, but that’s part of it too.
One time, I had been looking some of my truck and the shop ended up keeping my truck about a week because they had to wait on ProtectMyCar to send somebody to check it out and inspect it. So, I ended up having to pay the extra time to keep it. I also kept calling back and ask them to get on it and take care of the issue before the shop closes. I had to make them move. That’s only the bad part I’ve been and I was a little frustrated about. But I was happy that they were able to take care of my problem. It just took them a long time to do it, and I had to pay extra money for that. But typically, it takes them about eight hours to work on a claim if it’s a little or simple claim. They're always nice on the phone and calling in to submit the claims was easy, but the part to get them to approve takes a little leg work. I've submitted four claims but only two have been taken care of.
Another thing is that they never told me that I have a rental car. I tried to get it when they had my car the first time. They told me I got to pay it for myself, send back the paperwork to them and they'll get my money back in a week or two. So, I'm still paying for it but I got to submit a whole other claim which is too much trouble. Also, if they had the same people that handle my claim call me when my payment is not paid on time, they’d be awesome. If those people work in the same department, Protect My Car would be a great company.

All of our policies list in regular size print all of the components covered by the policy. We do that so there is no misunderstanding or confusion about what is covered. It is very easy to see exactly what is covered.
The policy is also very clear that we will reimburse you for rental car expenses up to $30 per day for up to seven days. As always, all you need do is call and ask. We are here to help.
Some claims and repairs do take more time than others. We want to make sure repairs are done right the first time. We do not want you to have to go back in for a second time to fix the same problem. It can take more time, but the results are worth it.
Lastly, we are glad to help you if you need it regarding your billing. Again, all you have to do is call and let us help.

I have checked other auto warranty provider and the salesman from Protect My Car called me and he lowered the price a good amount to meet my budget. Payments were easy. They'll grab a credit card and take it right out each month. I submitted a claim because I had a transmission go on a Honda Civic and it sat for two days. They had to come out, look at it and make sure it wasn’t a false claim. They did it for two days and that was an inconvenience for me. They say they'll pay a rental car for a week but I had to pay for some of the rental car. They shipped the transmission the cheapest way by freight from Florida to California which took a week. They finally put it in but it wasn't the best.
I also had an air compressor go out and I asked if they will still look at it. They told me that they will talk to a mechanic and the claim went in. I also had a minor bearing needed to be fixed and those aren't covered .Some things were good, some were not so good. You got to read the book and really read these extended warranties. They'll cover a bunch but there are some things that don't get covered too.

We warrant all parts for 12,000 miles or 12 months and while some repairs do take longer than others, we are glad that your repairs have saved you so much money. That's how you judge how well a policy is working for you.

I’m in Baltimore, Maryland and I brought my car from Dallas, Texas. In Texas they do not allow to give you warranty. So a couple of months after I got the Mercedes I went and bought a pickup truck for a business of mine and they offered me a good warranty there. I asked a bunch of questions and they told me everything I wanted to hear and got me on the plan.
Everything was a little bit fine but I just had a little bad experience at the beginning. They gave me a hard way to go about taking care of something. When I first ordered a vehicle part specifically asking them am I allowed to go to the dealership they said I could go wherever I want. But every time they called in my mechanic called me back saying they’d given him a hard way to go. I got a Mercedes so I was trying to keep the Mercedes parts on there. But there was a dude trying to price match. One time my mechanic called to say they found a part way cheaper and they just sent that. The part was fixed but I ended up just taking the cheap part just to get it over with and move on.

We always make sure that the parts installed in our policyholders vehicles are the right parts for that vehicle. We warrant those parts for 12 months or twelve thousand miles.
Unfortunately, we have had experience with some shops that claim to install the manufacturers part and, instead, put in a less expensive alternative. The price they charge the customer would be for the original manufacturer's part. We are not saying your mechanic would do that at all. It is simply good practice to make sure the right parts are being used to repair our policyholders vehicles. If we did not, we would likely be paying for many more repairs due to inferior part breakdowns.

The only thing is I had to find a place to go to and then I ended up getting a used transmission. The gentleman at the shop said that it did not guarantee the transmission, it can only guarantee the job. The hardest thing was doing the paperwork and then waiting for them to approve it. It stayed in the shop for almost a week and a half before they even started working on it. But the process was essentially not that difficult. The policy came with an envelope in the car and I like that it was easy to use. When my second car comes and I need to get a warranty I will definitely recommend it. I'm very satisfied.

They were able to get it down to a third of the price of anyone else. I usually have the shop submit a claim, and then, I will run it by them if they approve or deny the claim. My car was getting old and I figured that if I could protect it for another five years then that would be well worth the money. Protect My Car's auto warranty seemed to be at a reasonable price and so I purchased one from them. However, submitting a claim with them wasn't that great. They ended up ordering parts themselves and sending it to the dealer who had to put it in. And so, instead of giving an approval for the dealer who could have fixed the car the same day, it took close to five days. I wasn't happy about that.
Furthermore, a lot of the parts are not protected. When a consumer buys a policy from them, Protect My Car's reps don't go through each line item. During the sales call, they gave us the impression that almost everything is covered bumper to bumper. However, it really isn't. They tend not to cover a lot of the normal parts, also if the part is electrical in nature. For instance, the seat of my car is electrically heated and it's not covered by the warranty. Nevertheless, I continue to use Protect My Car because I had a claim that they fulfilled.

The purpose of the policy is to pay the cost of covered repairs less the deductible. No policy, no matter who issues it, will cover 100% of a vehicle. As your vehicle ages and more miles are added it will be more likely that future repairs will be required. The policy covered the motor mounts you had repaired, but not wear and tear items. As comprehensive as the policy is, it is far more likely that future repairs will be to covered components. When that occurs and we are able to help you with those repairs, you will be very glad you had the foresight to protect yourself with this coverage. Again, thank you for your comments.

I bought a used car so I wanted that extra protection. I’ve had Protect My Car for about going on two years. My monthly payment with them is $50 a month. And within that first year, it more than paid for itself because I spent $4,000 in car repair. The warranty covered everything including the whole engine, transmission, electrical, air conditioning except the radio and they formed up my power windows. And then I locked my keys in my car this year. I had to call for the service to come out and I realized that if I needed an additional key, I have to pay for that.
The only thing I don’t like is that they have a roadside service and I only use it two times a year. Otherwise, I got to pay for it. I have had two flats and I used it at that time. And then I had a third flat for the same vehicle but I had to pay for that one. If they’re not going to provide the roadside service throughout the total contract, then they should let me pay a little bit less. They have an abundant amount of customers and so they’re making money. If they brought me gas, I would pay for the gas. It would be a fairly decent service because they have people all over the place. Other than that, when my car was down, the towing service was there within 45 minutes. I had a PT Cruiser at the time and they took it to the Dodge Place. They took care of everything and I’m satisfied with that portion of the service.

I did a little research on Protect My Car and everybody said it was good. In the beginning, submitting a claim was a hassle but further along, if I had a problem, it got solved. It’s easy to make payments because it’s automatically coming out of my bank account so they just take their money with no problem! And it’s getting the work done. I was able to have my car, Renegade, tested because the check engine doesn’t work. I dealt with Protect My Car but had to do a lot of work myself. If there’s something wrong with my engine, I have to bring them a lot of paperwork to show that I’ve been doing my oil change and other certain things that were a problem. But the cancellation department’s fine because they didn’t want me to cancel.
I used the road-side assistance before and I’ve filed three claims so far. I got two cars covered with them. The first one was cool but the next two wasn’t. It was with my Dodge Magnum and Kia Sportage with the engine being killed. My car just sat there and Protect My Car eventually paid but it was a long process which took a month or two. If we get locked in, we had no choice but to pay for coverage every month.but I wouldn’t get them again. They get the job done after I sweat. It’s a hassle.

When I submitted a claim to Protect My Car, it was flawless. The only problem I had was the shop that I had taken the vehicle to had called ProtectMyCar and got authorization on the part. The mechanic said they got the part but they got some issues with it. The mechanic told them that he was done inspecting the used part and he would put it to their customer's vehicle, but he would need authorization to put a gasket kit in it.
There was a little confusion on that because ProtectMyCar had supposedly given my authorization. Then they backtracked on that and had to listen to phone records and found out that the mechanic was right. The claims rep was very understanding at the initial onset and he was also very cool when I called back. He said that he had a little misunderstanding as far as communication and that they were reviewing the case. He also said that they will make it right, and they did.
ProtectMyCar takes the payment out of my bank account. Unfortunately, I had to call them a couple of times because I've been compromised twice in the time that I've had the policy. On the first time this happened, I forgot to call and tell them that I got a different card number, but it’s not a big deal. ProtectMyCar had a good rate compared to the other auto warranties. When I originally got the warranty, I was told that it covers everything under the engine and transmission and that all the other warranty would be on me, which I was familiar with already. There were times when they were not covering some things like a case gasket and oil that was leaking. The case gasket is under my car but I eventually had to pay around $600 myself because it wasn’t the specific one that they cover. But I’ve had situations where they’ve covered like my drive train that went out last year. Also, the reps explained to me what was going on when I had the bad and good situations. They’re informative and making payments was pretty simple. It’s a direct deposit so they take it out monthly. Overall, they're helpful but complicated.

Things like seals, tires, batteries and hoses are wear and tear items. They are made to wear out and have to be replaced. They wear out, they do not break down. That is why they are not covered under a mechanical break down policy.

ProtectMyCar sounded like a good deal at the time I got them but processing my claim was difficult as hell. We had to pay for extra things that should’ve been covered by them. We just got our car out from last year and it was gonna cost $900 to $1300, and it came to $1762. We finally paid off the car at the dealership and thank God they did not charge us $25 a day storage fee. The process took over six months and it wasn't until my husband got a hold of one person that we were able to get things done. One time when I called in, they had a question about the mileage on the car and the guy said I'm 10,000 miles over what I started with. I told him I'm not because I knew I wasn’t. He got rude, crude and he argued. He upset me so bad I had to take my nitro and I ended up in the hospital because of it. I'm highly disappointed with them.

Your policy does require you to seek help when you car overheats. Since you were driving the vehicle for an extended period of time in an overheated condition it caused significant additional damage to your vehicle. While that kind of breakdown would not normally be covered we did cover it for you out of good will and due to your condition.

I had a good experience with Protect My Car. They were friendly, answered all my questions and were very detailed. They explained it to me like I was a six-year-old and I'm a kindergarten teacher so that really helped. It was a Friday and I was having work done on my car because of a wheel bearing problem. I explained to the dealership what was going on and they looked into it. I was able to get in touch with Protect My Car on a Saturday and they told them to go right ahead and fix it.
I’ve recommended them to my roommate from college but it's hard to pay them because I started out with them charging to one of my accounts but now I’m trying to get my account paid down. I asked them if they could take it out of my checking account. At first, they said yes and after a while, they never did. Then they started calling me saying, "Where's your payment?" and I said, "I filled out a check withdrawal deal." But they said, "We're no longer able to do that." And I said, "Well, just send me an invoice and I'll mail you a payment every month." They agreed to do that but I never got the invoice. I always talk to a lady named Nicole and somebody else. They called and I tried to explain to them so when they call again to say, “We haven't received your payment yet." I say, "Well, talk to Nicole. She has it written down or whatever."
They finally got it to where they sent me invoices for each month and due on the 31st. But at the same time, I never got an envelope to mail it out with. It's easy when I have my invoice but they sporadically send me the invoices an envelope. They didn't send me one for June but they sent one for July. So, I mailed the July invoice in but otherwise, I make up my own invoice. I could see down the line it could be a problem. I just like to have my envelopes, receipts and invoices together where I paid with what check number. I need them to be more consistent. Each time I talk to them and explain I know it's hard for me to get my words out. Nicole really understood everything and she'd always say, "Well, we'll get on it." and then right away, they send an envelope and an invoice.

A few years ago, I was looking for a warranty for my 2005 Explorer and found Protect My Car to be affordable. They also covered pretty much almost everything that I was looking for. I had only submitted one claim. I went to the dealership and found out what I needed to have done on my truck. Then I called their customer service and gave them the basic rundown of what was going on or it might have been even where the dealership might have called them themselves. What I needed to have done wasn't covered under my warranty. But they gave a courtesy instead and expedited me on a few other things like the labor cost.
For the most part, the process went smoothly. But the way they explained the rental to me would have been more feasible financially to do it in a different way. And within the days and times with the Lyfts and the Ubers, it's better going that route than having to do it through a car rental. Overall, they need to do better with regards to a smoother communication process. While you can get in contact with somebody, sometimes there's a hold time which also depends on other consumers that might be on the phone. I would rather talk to a representative than have them email me a list of my coverage. But if they do have an online access or something that’s a little bit more reachable, that would be great.

Though ProtectMyCar doesn't have ultimately all the coverage that I would like it to have it still covers a good bit. My previous warranty that I have with the car covered everything down to the wheel bearings. On this new warranty it doesn't cover that kind of stuff. I needed my front wheel bearings replaced in my Audi but when I called ProtectMyCar they said, “Well, that’s not covered.” I was like, “Oh, okay. I thought I had full coverage.” And they’re like, “Well, you do but just not on that.”
I had some good experiences and not so good experiences from the time that I purchased the warranty. When the motor blew in the Audi due to excessive oil consumption which had been an issue with this car they did cover it. I was supposed to be getting a new motor but I ended up getting a remanufactured motor which I found out after it was replaced because it had 57,000 miles on it. It was just last year that I had it replaced but to this day I'm buying between six to eight quarts of oil every month to put in this motor and I don't even have 5,000 miles on it. Also the warranty company paid out over $7,000 for the Audi's motor which didn't include a turbo since they said it wasn't covered even though that was in my car originally.
When I originally placed the claim they tried to tell me that they're not going to cover it because there was a pre-existing thing. I told them that it wasn't and that I have all the diagnostics and paperwork that I needed on my end to prove it. When they went back in and looked at the codes they knew I wasn't lying. But I had to fight with them to prove that this car was driven for several thousands of miles. The car wouldn't have been drivable if the motor was blown. We had some issues but overall they came through on their part on certain things and their monthly rate isn't bad for the warranty. It would depend on the individual on what their needs are for their vehicle.

Again, thank you for your comments.

The Mercedes service referred me to Protect My Car. I usually submit the claim to the mechanic but it's very hard to do it. There are lots of payments through the mailing. In addition, they had the worst road service ever and they don't even answer their phones so I had to buy AAA again. I never used them after that. They simply gave me a sense of security behind my head. If I had to go on big savings, I simply pay $100 a month so we would have security. That’s all it is. Other than that, I would have canceled it. But when it comes to paying them, it's easy. They just pull the payment out of my bank account.

Submitting a claim at Protect My Car was a little tricky. There were a lot of hoops I had to jump through. Even the vendor had to come out and view my vehicle when I had made the first claim to the auto place. I also found out that the things I thought were covered are not covered. I learned about this when I had to get some front work done to my vehicle. The auto dealer said that usually, the extended warranty companies cover the wheel alignment because they have to redo it when they go to the front part of the car.
Protect My Car says they will not pay for the alignment even though it is required because of them going into the front of the car. So anytime I have front work issues being done, I have to pay for the service and the deductible. Still, this is okay compared to what the cost of everything else would be if the auto warranty doesn't cover them. Overall, I have pretty good experience with Protect My Car.

I like it simple. When I have an issue with my vehicle, I go straight to the dealership, give them the card information, and they call Protect My Car to submit my claim. While the process is convenient, there are some claims that they don't accept. Issues of wear and tear that could have been avoided by better maintenance are not covered. So far, they did oil changes for me. Payments for my warranty are directly taken from my account. It's automatic pay, and the $100 deductible is alright.

A man from Protect My Car called me and I didn’t know how he got my information, but he saved my life. About seven months after I bought my car, the catalyst converter went out. I didn’t know it had went out, but I had to have two of them replaced. This man helped me out whenever I talked to him. He was a great salesperson and wasn’t pushy at all. He really convinced me that getting the warranty was the right thing to do. I went ahead and purchased the warranty after that. I had to get the car analyzed to make sure it was the catalyst converter and not something else. So when I've done that, what was wrong with my car was laid out. I called Protect My Car and they told me to let the mechanic call them and they would give the okay to do the repair work which was done within the same day.
I've had a lot of good experiences with Protect My Car and I would recommend them to anybody. They’re really good and knowledgeable people. Everybody is willing to work with me. If I have any problems, I feel comfortable in letting them know. Also, it’s worth every penny that I've put into it. The warranty saved me a lot of money. It was a good idea because used cars wind along a lot of problems at times and I can't afford a lot of repair bills.

I had a bad experience with Protect My Car. When I bought my car, the title was clean. One day, the motor blew up on me. I called Protect My Car to see if they can fix it for me and then they went on cold fact. They said that they caught the car into an accident five years ago. The problem wasn’t covered because the car had been in an accident. But when I first got this thing, they didn’t tell me anything about the accident. Now, when I needed them I felt like they turned their back on me, which means there's no reason for me to keep having Protect My Car. I don’t have a car right now. I will tell my friends that if they get into an accident, they can’t get any of the warranty from Protect My Car. But I have one of my friends whose transmission flared up and Protect My Car fixed it.

Your vehicle was totaled in an accident before you purchased this coverage. It had a salvage title. We would not have issued the policy had you let us know about that fact when we asked you about the title.
Once that fact was discovered, we did the right thing. We did pay for the repair and then cancelled the policy. We are sure you can understand our reasons for doing so.

He made me feel confident that Protect My Car will be there for me. And if not, they'll find a way to be there for me. I got Protect My Car for my 2004 Crown Vic and it’s about $40 when I got it. My Mercedes is a 2012 model and Toco Warranty gave me a better deal for it. But Protect My Car was really good. When I had a flat tire, I was shocked that they sent someone in 45 minutes. They also called and texted me to make sure the techs came. They did a great job on that.
But they would not fix my air conditioner for me. Every time I call Protect, they said that they don't fix this and that. Toco wanted me to come to them but I'm giving Protect My Car a chance. I don't have air and it's 103 here in Wichita Falls, Texas. Also, when I turn on my air conditioner my whole car just stops. So I've been without my work car for a month. I haven't even called for a claim to get the air conditioner fixed because I was scared that it would be a no again and I don't like that. But other than that, they're great.

I bought a newer car but it was used. I paid $8,000 for it and I was worried about not having any protection if something was to go wrong. Thankfully I bought an extended auto warranty from Protect My Car. The motor ended up having a crack four months after I bought the car. The cost of the labor was $2500 and Protect My Car paid for it. I didn’t even have to pay a deductible. The warranty cost me $100 down and it costs me $50 a month, which is reasonable. I was stressed about it because at first, it seemed like they were going to try to back out on it, but they came through and I was thankful for that.
However, the dealer was surprised because normally Protect My Car lets them order the motor. Protect My Car ordered the motor and dealer said it didn’t look like a remanufactured motor when it came in. It looked like something that came from a wrecking yard. It runs a little rough at times, but I haven’t had any issues. Overall Protect My Car is a good company. I would do another car with them if I buy another one.

I usually have my mechanic at the Ford garage submit claims to Protect My Car. And my last experience was not very good. I had the rear suspension air bags pulled out in my car and also had a pinion leak but they wouldn’t cover them. They said it was not a warranty but I didn’t really think so and the company would have covered those. The only thing that they covered in the last two years that I’ve had them was an electric window on the driver side. It was a regulator that was out and it wasn’t very much money.

You have no doubt reviewed the policy and have seen that the policy lists each and every covered component. We make it very clear what components are covered and which are not. The reason for this is simple. We want you to know right up front and in writing exactly what is covered with no hidden or confusing terms.
Some components are not covered and for a very good reason. If we covered every single component of your vehicle, the cost of the policy could easily be three or four times what you are paying for it. Most people would be unable to afford such coverage. We cover the components that are most likely to break down and for the most part are the costliest to repair.
The purpose of the policy is to pay the cost of covered repairs less the deductible. No policy, no matter who issues it, will cover 100% of a vehicle.

I needed to have something quick at the time when I had the car and Protect My Car was the one that beat everybody to the punch. It was easy to arrange payments for the warranty because I had it set up for automatic payment. When submitting a claim, I gave them the information and the card, and it was fairly easy. Of course, they didn’t cover the tow since it's not part of the warranty. However, the incident that happened to the car damaged the fender. My universal joint gave out causing the axle to come off the pin and when I got the bill, they only covered part of that stuff. There were other damages that were not covered by the warranty and there was nothing much I could do about it at that point. Overall, the experience was all right. It wasn't the best but they helped me out.

Remember, the policy is there is pay for the mechanical breakdowns, not maintenance items like alignments. That's why we were able to pay for the suspension repair, but not the alignment.

Protect My Car's representative explained everything to the T. But I was familiar with warranty companies and most of them cover most of the same things and my consideration was more of what's coming out of my pocket versus what they're covering. I've used the warranty once and it went very smoothly. The dealer called them and the authorization was right then and there. So it's good and it's what I like.
I have the warranty on both my vehicles. The only problem I had was on my truck. I had paid for an oil change and I get free oil changes on one of them. And so, I've tried to get the money back and I never did. And that was last year. That wasn't a deal breaker because that particular warranty on my truck is like a percentage warranty. The only good thing about it and the only reason why I kept it is because of the free oil changes. I got a Land Rover and it takes eight and a half quarts of oil. And then that's synthetic and it's $140 oil change. I recommended Protect My Car to two friends and they bought warranties, too.

I had a warranty with another company but it had so many restrictions that I decided to go with somebody else, which was ProtectMyCar. Additionally, some auto warranty companies do not work in California for whatever reason, and it kind of limits your choices. I have them on both my vehicles. However, I have already cancelled their services.
When you talk to them, they tell you that they cover a lot of things and that they have an easy process, just send your car to whatever mechanic you want to go to, leave it there, have them call us to report the issues, and everything will be taken care of. However, on occasions that I did do that, I found out that they didn't really cover anything. At one point I even had to beg them to at least say that it's part of the component and that it is on there. They still told me that it's not exactly in there, but I told them that I have been paying them for two vehicles, $200 a car, and either case they have never authorized any repairs and stuff so I’ve had it with the bill.
I told them that I understand that they can't 100% cover everything but when the mechanic says that according to their policy it’s part of this component, though it might not be worded exactly as on there, it's part of the component. One time they told me something is covered but they'll only pay half. I didn't know that there was a price thing, but half helps, so I kept them. Then, something happened to my vehicle once again and it's the same. Even their customer service was difficult.
Their coverage was again half of whatever the part was. Not even the installation, just the part. I accepted it. I cancelled my service with them because I’m paying $200 a month and by that time, I already ended it to the thousands and that’s what the cost of the repair was. This problem wouldn’t be an issue with me. I’d have the money to pay for it myself. I called them to cancel and they lowered my monthly payment and offered me free oil changes every 10,000 miles, which doesn't really amount in the long run. I told them I needed coverage. Even my mechanic told me that I was just throwing my money away.
I have this one case where it took them three weeks to even make a decision on something. During that time they told me that because it's not approved yet, they can't authorize a rental car. I told them that they need to send somebody out because I didn't have a car. Not only that, every time I call them they tell me they still have not made a decision just yet and that they don't think the part should be right. They are basically diagnosing the issue over the phone when they should be sending an adjuster or claim rep to look at it and see what is going on. My mechanic also told me that they are not answering him so I tried calling them but they told me to talk to my mechanic. All this time went by and they never approved it and I didn’t get a rental car.
The interaction with the claims department was awful but their customer service, when I did call in to make a complaint, was very nice. They were always trying to lower my premium and stuff and trying to help me stay but in the long run, even if they lowered my premium and nothing was getting covered, I'm just throwing money out. You may have just put it aside for auto repair account in your bank and so when things come up, you’ve got that money. I was just giving it to them and nothing was being done.

We hope you will reconsider your decision. While the monthly cost might seem a waste when your vehicle is running fine, consider how economical it is when you have a $3,000 engine or transmission repair.

I couldn't afford the traditional warranty that I kept getting in the mail from Chevrolet. It was expensive. I signed up with ProtectMyCar.com and I got to use them the next day. My fuel pump went out at the doctor's office and they had to tow in the car. The claims representative was alert and sympathetic and had the tow truck within an hour. He took my vehicle to the Peltier Chevrolet in Tyler and then they started the work the next day. The people that I talked to were above normal. My payments are taken out of my pay check every month.
I'm grateful I made that decision on the day I did. I almost didn't and I don't know what would have happened because we only have one car and my mother doesn't drive and I was at the doctor for her. I had to get arrangements for her to get home and me to get home and a few other things. It was a stressing situation but it would have been devastating. I don't know how we would have made it. That was the only way I have to get to work because my mother doesn't own a vehicle anymore and we live in the country.

I went with Protect My Car when they told me the stuff they were covering. Now that I have it, I had a major thing that should have been covered but was not. My car’s computer system shut down and the car couldn’t operate without it and they didn’t cover the computer. It wasn’t specified initially but I would think that major components of the car will be covered. The auto shop submitted the claim and when I tried to see if they covered the computer parts or find a place where I can get it cheaper, it didn’t work and was too high. Since they couldn’t cover it, they lowered my monthly payment but I was still distraught that it didn't cover the main components of the car to have the car running. The claim representative was helpful but they were only able to do what they can do. The bottom line is they couldn't pay for the computer.
I also don’t like the rental car benefits and the maintenance perks because they don’t cover if the labor on the car is not more than two hours so the car has to be in the shop more than how many hours plus they didn’t cover rental. I don’t like that they went off the labor instead of how long the shop actually had the car. If they're not able to get to the car until then, I'm stranded without a car just because the labor is in two hours. Each car is not the same and they need to evaluate what runs the car and what actually is needed, what part should be covered because technically all the major parts are not covered. They need to change the way they say that.

This is especially true with vehicles that have close or more than 100,000 miles.

Protect My Car has been taking care of everything and has been doing a good job. When I submit my claim, it goes from the car dealership to them. They were a bit slow in paying, though. But apart from that, Protect My Car has good customer service and is a good extended warranty service place.

We pay for repairs right over the phone with a corporate credit card. We make that payment immediately to the shop once we know the repair has been completed and the policyholder is satisfied.

Protect My Car had a pretty good program at the time I chose them. Submitting a claim is okay, I did it over the phone. Their representatives were discreet too. They take the payment out of my checking account. However, they need to cover more areas on the vehicle. I had an experience where Protect My Car covered certain areas of the car. So, it used to be updated. If Protect My Car would do more coverage on the vehicle, I would suggest it to a friend. But right now, I was embarrassed because this other person had their coverage better than what I have.

We believe our policies cover the components that are the mostly likely to break down and are for the most part the most expensive to repair. Yet our premiums are some of the most affordable in the industry.
When you compare your policy with your friends, check the total component coverage and the monthly cost of the policies. Compare the extra benefits included and the low deductible. We are sure you will feel relief, rather than embarrassment, that you chose Protect My Car.

ProtectMyCar called and bugged me. And I was dead set against doing it but ProtectMyCar dropped their price down to 75% less than the first offer I got with them so I gave in. They automatically deduct my $46 payment from my credit card. I submitted a claim with them once and I admit that I didn’t take the proper steps since I didn't know. And there was a problem with the axles of my car and they said it could be dangerous and I didn’t find out about it until my car was already in the shop having routine work done.
Since the car was in the shop already, I was going to have the work done no matter what so I took a shot to see if they would cover some or all of it if they could. I called them because I was paying and it worked out as well as I was expecting. I explained my situation to them and they paid, but not all of it. They sent me $1000. I would submit documents to Protect My Car and they took really long time to get back to me. Every time I called, the claims representative told me that I had to wait until it came out to whichever department that was repairing it. I would have to keep checking to see if anything was done. I went through the process of making a claim with Paxton. I only have one vehicle and I need it to get around with kids, school, and work. I had to wait three days before somebody would respond back. And I only wanted to go to a rental if it's surely going to be covered.
If I had problems that needed to be adjusted, they didn't believe what the garage said. So, I'm waiting until I get the problem again which was what the garage told me will happen and get a second opinion and see what happens next. They needed to be more explanatory when it comes to areas that were being covered. I'm anticipating that if they say electrical, it's all the electrical components, not some or not others. That's where a part of the problem was too. But making payments was easy and it's an okay company until a problem exists.

The price and good salesmanship of Protect My Car were what prompted me to get an auto warranty from them. I took my truck in to the dealership and they submitted the claim for me. The dealership said my truck needed several repairs but Protect My Car denied coverage for everything. Protect My Car said, "We don't cover that because it's wear and tear, and because of mileage and condition." But when they gave me the warranty, they knew my truck had 140,000 miles on it but yet they took my money anyway and then denied the claim. They suck.
The customer service at representative Protect My Car was rude and direct to the point, and said, "We don't do anything with that. That's somebody else and it's in the paperwork." I was also never allowed to use any of their other services. I'm very dissatisfied with the experience and I've canceled my warranty. I'd tell a friend who asks me about them to run like hell. They are a sham and should be absolutely sued and shut down. They've already had multiple lawsuits filed against them. Protect My Car is a horrible company that you should never do business with.

The fact is, you only filed one claim while you had the policy. Although you stated that the repair was denied, the truth is that the repair to your heating and A/C was covered and paid for by the policy. The policy paid out $1300 on the $1400 claim, and you had a $100 deductible. That means that in the year and a half you had the policy, that one claim saved you $400 more than the entire amount you paid in premiums. Not bad by any means.
In fact, Andy the service manager a the shop you chose to use says he's been in the business for many years and we are by far hands down the best warranty company to work with and he looks forward to doing business with us again
You are correct that the coverage does not cover normal wear and tear items. We are always up front with everyone about that fact.

When the transfer case on my truck went out, which is the gear that changes it from two wheel drive to four wheel drive, Protect My Car went out and bought a transfer case. They shipped it to the mechanic that I was using and took care of it that way. But it took my mechanic so long to be paid for what he did. Other than that, the process went fine for me and if I'm ever in the market again for that kind of warranty, I would certainly go to them.

Submitting a claim with ProtectMyCar was very easy and quick. They answered any additional question I had to the best of their ability or they've got their manager to intervene and handle the situation very professionally. They're very good and they immediately accept the claim. Once I put the car in the shop, the mechanic gives them a call and leaves me. I had no issues with everything that was covered up under the warranty. And they still gave me advice even if they didn't cover the part or it didn't have to do with the claim.
Also, they were pretty good about paying if I needed a rental. The only thing I don't like is that the car has to be a four-hour operation for them to cover that. If you're paying for a service, that should be a part of the ProtectMyCar contract regardless if it's an hour or two-hour mechanical issue. But it's dope and I have recommended it to friends. Unfortunately, I don't have that car anymore so I had to cancel it for the meantime. But as soon as I get another one, I'll be calling them right back.

My car's warranty was going off, so I did some research and I came up with Protect My Car. I listened to what they had to offer and I found something that I needed and could afford in the literature that I got in the mail so I went on ahead. Purchasing the extended warranty was good. The communication came together and everything went smoothly.
They gave me a hard time submitting a claim at the beginning because I felt that I was paying this amount on a regular and I just felt like that they should help me and they did. The claims rep listened to me but they couldn't help me at the time. He sort of threw me a curve ball. I finished talking with him and letting him know what was the purpose of me having the insurance if I couldn't come to them with help. This is an ongoing thing that they take my money out of my check every month and every month I'm not calling them with a claim. I'm a type of person that takes care of my belongings. I've had my car for a while. I bought it new and it's still in good shape. So, when I had little problems with it, I called ProtectMyCar and so far I hadn't had any problems after that.
I've also used their maintenance perks and it went well. The last time I called, it hadn't been that long ago and it was for a roadside service. A young lady from Protect my Car told me that they'll do it this time. If I happen to call back, I have to pay this, that and the other. I didn't care for all that but it's part of her job. On the other hand, the guy came right out. I didn't have to wait that long. I called back to see if he was on his way because they had told me 45 minutes but at that time, he wasn't there. My car was in the shop and it cost quite much. Protect My Car paid a little over half and I had to take off the slack. So, when they have finished with the car and it was time for me to pick it up, they went right on and did their part that they said they would. I had to do the rest and everything went okay.
Overall, I would recommend other people to Protect My Car. The business has your ups and downs but I thought I would throw in loyalty because, at the time that I had that experience, they came through for me and helped me out a lot. So, it really blessed me. So far, so good. I'm very pleased with them so far. We'll see on the next experience.

The air conditioner pump went out in my vehicle and there was a little hiccup with my claim. Protect My Car only wanted to fix what was actually damaged and not the worn parts because they would rather wait until those parts broke down. My auto mechanic couldn't understand why. It made more common sense to replace things that are already worn out so they don’t have to break down. It’s like when you’re doing a tune up, you'd want to change the distributor cap, water cap, spark plugs and everything. But they only wanted to replace the spark plugs and not the distributor and water cap. It's to prevent the mechanic going back into it a month down the road and they didn’t want to do that. They couldn’t understand the mechanic’s point of view and my mechanic had talked to them for two days straight until they finally decided to go his way because they finally understood what he was talking about.
Another one of the biggest headaches was on the parts. Most mechanic shops have parts in stock, and yet we had to wait two extra days for the parts from Protect My Car to get here. At that point, we had already waited two days for them to decide to go with the mechanic's way and because they didn't want to use the mechanic's parts, that further prolonged my downtime of not having a vehicle.
I understand that they have parts in stock and they probably buy it in bulk to get them cheaper. And maybe the mechanic would charge a dollar more but he’s got the part right there so why not use it? I was actually shocked that they have a warehouse of parts when they're an insurance company. The second time that I dealt with Protect My Car was for the alternator and it was a lot easier.

Your policy covers mechanical breakdowns as described in the policy. We are sure that most shops are happy to charge you for replacing components that are in good working order by telling you that these parts are getting worn. Opinions will certailnly differ on how long a component may last before it breaks down. Once the breakdown occurs, the policy will help with the repair cost.
The policy dos not cover wear and tear items that have to be replaced on a regular basis, like spark plugs, tune-up components, tires and batteries. You can plan for those kinds of items. It is impossible to plan for an unexpected breakdown of a covered component. That is why the policy is so valuable.

There had been a couple of times where I had to change amounts around to different days and they were willing to help me out on that.

If you review the list of covered components in your policies you should be very impressed. You will see that they cover the most expensive components and for the most part are the most likely to break down.

Great point, too. You never really know when a breakdown, or even a blown tire will happen. It just makes sense to protect yourself before it does.

I saw a commercial on TV about extended warranty and I called up the dealer where I had got the vehicle from because it didn't come with one, but they couldn't give me any information. I started researching it. ProtectMyCar's rates are cheaper and as far as getting the extended warranty for the vehicle, it was easy because I was working and I was able to add that into my finances. Plus, I used the rental benefits and the maintenance perks.
It was not an easy experience with the maintenance though when I just got the warranty. When I went to several different shops and instead of me going in and telling them to do the oil change, I went in, asked if they accepted the extended warranty and was turned around from a lot of places because they told me that they didn't accept it. I had to pay for an oil change when I was offered free oil changes with my warranty. I found out later on, when I talked to one the reps, that I can take the car, let the facility repair it and have them contact ProtectMyCar after the fact.
I had some work done on my vehicle at a repair facility and three months later, the car's the transmission was doing the same thing it was doing when I first took it to the shop. The reps from ProtectMyCar were very thorough and helped me to where I could take my car to another facility and have the services done on it, so I had an excellent service from them. I love it. They do a wonderful job with their services.

ProtectMyCar gave me a better quote versus other companies so I went with them. It was very easy to pay and it comes out of my account every month. Their claims process was very easy and they already have the card and all the information in their system. The last couple of times I had to file claims, I specifically showed the card to the dealership and all that had to come out of my pocket was $100. I had a great experience and every time I have friends talk to me, "Do you know some company?" the first words out of my mouth is ProtectMyCar.

Thank you, too, for referring folks to us. We will treat them with just as much respect as we do you. Remember, if you referred someone to us who now has a policy we say thank you with a Visa gift card. Please let us know who you have referred so we can thank you this way.
Thank you once again for your comments. Please let us know if you have any questions or if there is anything else we can do for you.

I inherited my parents’ car when they passed away. I transferred Protect My Car warranty over to my name and I haven’t had any problems in the dealings that I have with them so far.

I had somebody else before and that program cost me more money and had less coverage so I shifted to ProtectMyCar. I'm on auto withdrawal monthly payment with them. The shop that I took the car to submitted the claim for me and it has been a very good experience. I’m very much satisfied at this moment.

We do work hard to make sure your experience with Protect my Car is a positive one and that the whole process, from choosing the right coverage, to making sure it is comfortable on your budget, to fast and efficient claims service, towing and rental car benefits, gives you great peace of mind.
Please let us know if you have any questions or if there is any way we can help.

I needed a protection for my car so I decided to get ProtectMyCar. However, I had a bad experience with them. I had two oil change that I paid out of my pocket and they said they’re going to reimburse me for it. I spoke to several persons over there and sent them an email of the receipts. They're supposed to get it and put it to their reimbursement department so I can get paid but until now I have not been paid yet. Nobody has ever gotten the emails that I sent when in fact I kept sending emails since last September. So right now, I’m thinking of disconnecting it. I would never do it again and I would not recommend anybody to join that service because when they’re ready to reimburse, they'd take too long to pay.

We hope that upon reflection you will see how valuable this coverage is when your vehicle breaks down and will be glad you had the foresight to continue your coverge.
Thanks again for your comments and for continuing to be a valued policyholder.
