The CVT Transmission is junk. Disintegrated at 76K miles. It is well documented the CVT transmission has a history of problems. Nissan only extended warranty of a very small subset of vehicles that have the CVT. I spoke to Nissan Corporate and they were unwilling to help. If you buy a Nissan, put away another $3k to $4k to rebuild the transmission.

I purchased this vehicle new in 2009 and have since had 3 failures since owning this car. Nissan installed what is called an Electronic Steering Column Lock (ESCL) that is designed to help prevent theft. Unfortunately if this part fails and it will about every 50,000-60,000 miles you will be unable to start the car even though mechanically there is nothing wrong with your car. I looked up other complaints and there is over 256k complaints on this issue alone yet Nissan will not back this part up. I paid to have it installed a 3rd time and was told that it was the 3rd generation on this part and that it would last but here I am 60,000 miles later and it broke again. I understand that my vehicle is 10 years old now but, I don't understand how Nissan can know that a part they make is defective and not come up with a solution or work around it leaving drivers completely stranded in a vehicle mechanically sound.

The repair for this is between $800-$1,100 each time. Nissan is aware of it and stopped installing it in all Nissan's and Infiniti's starting in 2012 but deny the part is defective. Knowing this I can't recommend that you buy any product from Nissan as there is no guarantee that they are going to back their product up and since this is a unique part built specifically for their vehicles only in 2009-2011 there are no aftermarket parts for this. If Nissan told me upfront that hey, this is a great engine and if you maintain it this vehicle will go at least 300k miles but, there is a part on it that can't be maintained and will break every 50k miles and costs $1,000 each time to repair I never would have bought it. I've owned 3 Nissan's in my life and this will be the last one I ever buy.

Long post... So I purchased a car brand new this past June (less than 3 months ago) from Gunn Nissan in San Antonio’s. Regret #1, buying from Gunn Nissan - bad delivery of a new vehicle. Regret #2, buying a Nissan - I have a lemon and want Nissan to buy it back. This has been an awful few months as a Nissan owners. Two major issues... Delivery of my new vehicle and major mechanical issue.

First of all - when I purchased the 2019 Nissan Armada platinum reserved brand new...there were deep scratches in the paint of the bumper and the bumper guard. I noticed this before driving off - shame on me for taking it then. A couple attempts at repairing it - photo attached of first repair when they had it for 24hrs and literally dabbed on some touch up paint (not very well) and left the bumper guard as is. It was finally painted in the body shop (yes, my brand new car) and it appeared that they sprayed bed liner on the bumper guard to cover those scratches. I was not happy with the repair but then again...there was nobody even there to ask how I felt or sign paperwork. I’m a busy person (single mom, 3 kids, multiple jobs and activities and it was not high on my priority list as it had already taken so much of my time. Shame on me again for not making a bigger fuss then).

Oh - and it only came with one key and they had to locate floor mats and take from a different vehicle since they couldn’t find the ones that came with mine. I had to go back on a Friday when the person who could program a new car keys was in since they couldn’t locate the second key. I did ask by the way during this time to please just trade it in for a similarly equipped vehicle and the manager was happy to tell me that he’d give me blue book value... It was less than two weeks old at this point and already they had attempted the first cosmetic repair.

Fast forward a couple months. Last week I got a message - BCI malfunction and it wouldn’t start. Eventually got it started while waiting for the tow truck and just a few minutes later I couldn’t get it out of park. Took it to dealership next morning. REPAIR #1 Thursday - dropped it off at 8am and picked it up around 2:30 pm that afternoon. They replaced the brake switch - didn’t make it a mile down the road when the same BCI malfunction light came on, turned around and took it right back

REPAIR #2 - dropped it off Thursday afternoon around 2:30 pm picked it up Friday around noon. They replaced the brake sensor. Made it about 3 miles this time and the same message came on again... BCI malfunction. Called this time furious and they offered to pick up the car from my work. They pick up my car around 3pm and had it Friday, Saturday (their service dept is open all day Saturday), and Monday - I got a call on Monday around 3:45 which they left a voicemail because I was on the phone with Nissan USA regarding my case and replied to an email I had sent earlier that day checking on the status of repair.

In the email and on the voicemail they clearly stated they had replaced the front end collision sensor and did the alignment for it, test drove the Armada and no lights came on. So it was ready but they said they would keep it until the next day (Tues) to drive it again just to be safe. I consider this to have been REPAIR #3 since it was the third part and attempt at repairing it.

I emailed Tuesday afternoon thinking I would have had my car by now since the Monday test drive went well. The service advisor replied saying that it looks good and they were out test driving it and if it worked they’d bring it to me shortly. Got an email about an hour later saying they were going to order another part. So to me... REPAIR #4 attempt. I replied... So the light went off again huh and they said yes. Got an email Wed afternoon that part was in and replaced but they wanted to again keep it overnight to be safe. Thursday everything was still good and they delivered my Armada to me Thursday late morning.

When they delivered the car the paperwork did not include repair #3 so I didn’t want to sign paperwork. I called the service advisor who told me they never replaced the front sensor even though I have an email and a voicemail stating that they did and it had been completed. He tells me it’s a miscommunication and I didn’t understand but nothing had been replaced. I reluctantly signed the paperwork but figured since I knew I had the voicemail & email as back up I would be good.

Lemon law states that you must attempt the same repair 4 times to be considered a lemon. Am I crazy to think it’s a lemon or should I be happy that I don’t have the BCI malfunction message??? The fact that I have them caught in an outright lie is very concerning and shady. This is such an abbreviated version - if you’d like a longer version I have it typed up and ready to share with you - just message me.

I could go on and on about how nobody returns calls as well but that’s all just petty I guess at this point and my main concern is a vehicle that is less than three months old with this many issues and the lack of response and deceitfulness of the dealership repairing it. Can’t get through to a manager or get a call returned on many occasions. Once you buy the car they could CARE LESS as soon as that paperwork is signed. I will say that I feel both my salesperson and service advisor were both very nice and just had their hands tied by Gunn management.

So I financed a car with Nissan that had almost 30,000 miles on it thinking it was a good investment. The warranty was for 60,000 miles and of course things were great right up until the warranty expired. At just over 63,000 miles the transmission let go. I have never heard of such a thing. Funny thing is they had this problem with the cvt transmissions before and supposedly fixed the issues. WRONG. Also they have a bunch of lawsuits out against them because of this issue. Most if not all are just out of warranty. Think about that one.

I purchased a 2018 Nissan Murano with 14k miles on it in Feb 2019 with full warranty. It was the first time I had bought a used/program car and it will be my last. In mid-July the sunroof started experiencing an issue when closing it. I'd press the button to close the sunroof and it worked fine until it got to the front and instead of closing it would kick back open. I took it to the local dealer and they thought it would be a simple fix to change out the motor. Fast forward to now and 3 motors later and still NO RESOLUTION. I'm now at DAY 50 of not having my vehicle back or fixed.

The dealership tells me they are not getting support needed from Nissan Tech Engineers, have tried 3 different motors and nothing is working. Last Friday I reached out to Nissan Consumer Affairs because the dealership is getting nowhere and they inform me there will be ANOTHER 10-day wait until while they act as liaison between myself and dealership. The communication on both ends has been horrible and it's completely unacceptable for them to have my car for almost 2 months with no resolution in sight. The service experience between the dealership and corporate has been a nightmare and I will never buy a Nissan again.

The rep at Nissan Consumer Affairs sounds like she's reading off a script and also made it sound like it was my fault for not reaching out sooner. Up to this point I've always trusted my local dealership and I believed they were working diligently on my issue. It appears Nissan just doesn't want to replace the entire track for the sunroof under warranty... Maybe they are fighting about who is going to pay for it. All I want them to do at this point is to buy this car back so I can move on. I'm so done. It shouldn't take 2 months to fix a sunroof.

I have been a Nissan customer since 2004 and was happy with the brand until one of my Nissans started having issues. I purchased a Nissan extended warranty when the car was new and unfortunately it ended up being a waste of money. My car is a Roadster and it is making some loud noises during closing it and has excessive wind noise along with rattles. The dealer, St. Charles Nissan, said it is normal operation to avoid a repair under extended warranty. They even charge me a diagnostic fee for that. It is obviously not normal based on hundreds of top related online complaints so I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs for their help. They basically said they can not force the dealer to do anything. Since they do not care about their customers, I will find another brand for our future car purchases.

I have taken the car back to the dealer several times over 4 years. Each time the problem gets worse, not better. Nissan USA is no help. The dealer is no help. Nissan no longer employs mechanics; just employs inept part changers. No wonder Nissan is tanking.

And fluid spewed out from under the hood multiple times!! First trip to very unfriendly service department..was told could not repeat. Picked up my car and the radiator fluid was still all over the front end of my car!! Next day picked my son up at school. Car overheated to the point I was asked to move it farther away from the building for fear children could be burned from the spewing liquid. Parked in the far end of parking lot. My car was flat bedded again to Davidson Nissan in Watertown N.Y. Was told again could not repeat. Went to pick up my car, they couldn't find it. Called service manager and he told them he parked it in the back field. They brought it to me covered in dirt and yep covered in more anti freeze.

This continued for weeks. I told the manager of the Davidson Nissan Watertown NY I did not want the car anymore. I asked him to buy it back. He said all he could do to make it right was an extended warranty, Nissan car mats, 2 free oil changes (I did not use) and a Nissan hat. 2 years later my car suddenly jerks going down the highway. I get off exit and car hesitated. I drove less than a mile to pizza shop. Went to leave and my car would not go forward or reverse.. Called warranty company and had my car flat bedded to Burdick Nissan in Cicero NY (Driver's Village). I was told this morning that transmission had to be completely replaced!!! What it is a "2017" are you kidding me. Yep but at least it's covered by warranty. What about next time? Replacing with the same kinda transmission.... Hello..I thought Nissan was a good dependable car. I don't want this car and owe too much to trade it!! Thanks Nissan.

I purchased a 2009 Nissan Rogue, new. I have owned this car for 10 years, and have paid through the nose for control arms and wheel bearings. August 4th 2015 my transmission overheated on the 400, kicked into safe mode from Cruise control and almost got us run over by a transport. It was "repaired" with an accessory oil cooler by Nissan two weeks later. Same thing happened 2 days ago on a trip back from Lemington. I have under the 200,000 km, but am 1 month over my warranty. So, I have been in talks with Nissan's customer care department. My warranty was up July 30th. The band aid fix for my transmission on August 5th 2016 has failed 1 month after the warranty was up...imagine that. It was a pretty car. It's pretty worthless now. Seriously think over your purchases....I now have no trade value.

I have a leaking sending unit on my 2015 Nissan Sentra. I opened a case report with Nissan Corporation 2 weeks ago, Sept 1, but have not received a call back from Nissan during normal business hours despite 6 calls I've made to the Nissan Customer Representative over the past 2 weeks. Nissan has a recall for the same problem -- on the 2015 Altima and 2015 Maxima -- an improperly installed ring on the sending unit, resulting in leaking fuel. I cannot get any assistance from Nissan as of today, August 12.

Additionally Nissan sent me a letter earlier this year (the letter of course is not dated but I received it this past spring 2019) advising that I might have a "complete blockage..in the EVAP tube located between the fuel tank and the evaporative emission canister." While this is different from the problem of the leaking sending unit, it illustrates that Nissan clearly has multiple problems with defective fuel pump assembly parts and/or improperly installed fuel pump assembly parts.

I called back the next day and was informed it was a verification check. I felt embarrassed. Nissan Motor Acceptance didn't leave a message on my cell which is the first contact number. I believe references shouldn't be contacted unless a payment's missed, emergency, or to locate the whereabouts of the customer. Nissan Motor Acceptance is actually the billing department. My first payment isn't due for another 34 days! Nissan already sent a letter informing me of the billing department and online options to manage my account. My reference shouldn't have been contacted. A message should've been left on my phone allowing me time to contact them back. Especially for some of us who have been loyal towards our payments and the Nissan Corporation. Also, we never get anything for being a customer. A nice bug, the Micra K12, 2006, 65ps Petrol 1.2 Engine. I have bought this car from Nissan in Germany, at 71.000km, and I drove it for 9.000km. 65ps, manual gearbox, 1,2L petrol engine. 2 doors, in bamboo green. Lovely little bug. I bought it as an emergency need for a cheap car, and I am quite happy with the purchase. So happy in fact, that I decided already to change it with the newer model, 2017, 1.2L 80ps. But back to the K12 bug. Drove it mostly in Berlin, Germany, and occasionally on the Highway, maximum 130km/h due to the noise and fuel consumption, but drove it briefly up to 160km/h... (slightly downhill probably:).

Pretty loud on the highway, but perfect for the city traffic. Agile between the city streets and easy to park. A bit of a stiff ride at low speeds, but quite comfortable where the road permits speeds over 50-60Km/h. Feels stable and has some power reserves until 110-120Km/h, at high RPM regime, between 3500 – 5000rpm. It responds well to the throttle paddle. The engine pulls lovely between 3rd and 4th gear, 60 to 90Km/h, it feels quite sporty. The 1st and 2nd gear are a bit slow. Never had any beef with, but yet again, for just 9k it should not be the case anyway. The gear box felt sometimes a bit too long, but it did the job. I would have kept it, but I just wanted the newer model. Overall a good experience. Hope the new model will follow the trend.

First time and last leasing from Nissan this 2018 Nissan Rogue SL.! At 5,000 miles had front end whining. Took to dealer. They said nothing wrong.? I would not leave without them looking further into this noise. Well they found a faulty bearing and replaced it. I asked for a wheel alignment also to be done. I thought they did this.? But at 10,000 miles I had wheel pulling and shaking in the front of the car. Took to same dealer for service but was told because it needed a wheel alignment it was my fault so I asked for a inspection that I paid for. They found a faulty control arm and strut on same side as the replaced bearing.! Well they said it was my fault that I did something to cause this and would not fix it unless I paid for the repairs.! This is totally a terrible company and cars also.!

I contacted corporate and worse treatment said my fault so, “We can’t help you.!” It is caused by not having a wheel alignment that I asked for at the prior bearing replacement.? So I am a victim of Nissan North America that makes you think you are getting a great deal on a lease car.! Then when you have a true problem that you did not cause they throw you under the”BUS”!!! They suck people in by giving them a lot of “Bells and Whistles” standard on the cars and not caring about anyone’s safety just making their pockets DEEPER!!!

Stay away from these dealers and cars nothing but trouble for the consumer while they take no responsibility at all after you sign and leave the dealership.!! Where is their warranty on a new vehicle.? This is proof that there is none.! So my car if driven could cause a serious accident and possible near death to any passengers or others on the road!!! I have to pay for all the repairs before I can drive it again.!!! Buyers Beware.!!!!

I took my car to Nissan of Riverhead NY on 8-26-17. I brought it in for two new tires and a coolant flush. This job should have cost me about $450, instead I walked out paying $675. They overcharged me on every part and aspect of service. They broke not one but both of my tire TPMS sensors before telling me what they did. Then had the nerve to say it was my fault because of the metal tire valve stem caps Nissan put on years ago. They claimed giving me a coupon on my receipt and not charging me a fee made up for what they did. The coupon didn't even make up for how much they overcharged me for parts and service.

Furthermore driving the car home it had a extreme vibration that it never had before and would require the brakes to be fixed on the car in under a few months to make it go away. Also the tires they sold me were the wrong ones and so badly installed that they would leak constantly and eventually need to be replaced in under two years. Mavis confirmed that it was poor work that cause the premature failure of my brakes and tires. I have all the supporting receipts and videos to prove all this. This is a link to the video when you will hear the one mechanic discuss how bad the work on my car was and you will hear a customer service rep tell him to stop CSI my car and finding problems so they could cover up their terrible service and the damage they did to my car. https://youtu.be/IYTTbhw6taY.

Also I met with the owner and he and his staff was unwilling to do anything but play a blame game. I contacted Nissan in the matter and they sided with him even though there are numerous complaints against several of his dealerships. I would not buy from him ever again and certainly I will never buy from Nissan again since they did nothing to solve the problem. I now own a Honda and could not be happier to be out of this nightmare - but the loss of thousands of dollars due to irresponsible businesses such as Nissan is still a painful experience no one should go through.

Faulty issues with new Kicks. I have been purchasing Nissan since 1985. This was to be my very first lease ever. I wanted 2018 model. Universal City was the closest and had several cars. I got my Kicks SR. The model I test drove had 80 mls on it and was filthy. I asked the rep if this was a floor model. He avoided the question and said it will be cleaned up. Enamored I went ahead with the purchase. The salesman let me inspect the car in the garage. It seemed to have been cleaned, but when I came home I noticed not only it was dirty but had scuff marks on it, the back light was scratched and missing a flashlight in the tool kit.

I cleaned the car myself in my garage. Since it was a lease I became leery and wrote a letter to the manager Steve ** and was completely ignored, zero reply. 3 days later I got a warning flashing on the car "UNAVAILABLE FRONT RADAR OBSTRUCTION." Same happened again next day. So I took it to dealer. While the car was being inspected, I went to see Steve the manager, who did not appear, was busy. Sia, an assistant manager came to see me. I told him of my dirty car, he said he will detail it and look into missing tool. The next day my car was returned. The explanation on warning was "the front sensor was dirty." Scuffs and scratches were gone.. No answer on missing tool. Again, the only reason I am wary because this is a lease, has to be returned and I don't want to be responsible for missing tool. Still I was happy, satisfied.

However the warning sign came back. I work, so had to bring the car a couple of days later. This time they kept the car for 5 days to replace the sensor. I asked to be compensated, like a tank of gas, they declined. The service manager finally told me that the car doesn't come with a flashlight. The spot is made for other models that do? Although it doesn't make sense, this is the highest model of Kicks, I am leaving that alone. Once more I said perhaps this is the end. To no avail.

Now my dashboard is buzzing, as if I am driving a clunker. Cannot hear music. So today, back to service. I am completely disappointed and have zero confidence in Nissan. I will have no choice but to consult an attorney if anything else happens. Unfortunately only now I begun reading reviews on Nissans and see that there are many complaints on sensors, transmissions and audio systems. Yet I love my car. I am heartbroken.

Most horrible experience I’ve ever had buying a car. The dealership wasn’t the best to deal with but the fact that Nissan itself is selling cars that it is knowingly putting out there that the transmissions aren’t going to work or last for even the life of a loan is absolutely pathetic as the transmission has now went out in my 2016 Nissan Sentra and I still owe over 15,000 on the car. I have no warranties to help me. It’s not part of the lemon law. Why? I don’t know. It’s built the same year those transmissions where nobody can explain to me why it’s not part of the lemon law and what makes it even worse Is one we were being sold the car.

That’s all they sold was the transmission and how this new transmission was going to revolutionize the industry. I wouldn’t fill that shift, my fuel economy would go up etc. etc. and from day one it’s been nothing but a nightmare. The dealership nor Nissan has been willing to help me. I had previously owned Nissan’s and got 300,000 miles out of them that’s why I came back to you guys after this purchase. I will never even look at another Nissan again regardless of maker model.

We bought a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder on January 1st, 2014. It was brand new and had been driven, but you could see that the sunroof had something wrong with it because there were water stains on the inside and since it was the panoramic sunroof that does not open, there was definitely an issue with it. The dealership assured us that they would fix it before we drove it off the lot. We trusted that when we finally were able to take it home that it was fixed right and would last. Fast forward 5 years and now it is rusting all around the sunroof and we have been told that the entire roof needs to be replaced.

This is a 5 year old vehicle that has no rust anywhere else and has been garage kept for the majority of the time we have owned it. I spoke to Nissan consumer affairs and after going through all their hoops for a diagnostic, they informed me today that they would not be financially assisting me in fixing an issue that is clearly their fault. It may have taken five years to surface but I should not have to pay almost half of what the vehicle is worth to fix a rust issue that was caused by their repair job. It's a disgrace and although this is my fourth Nissan and I have been happy with this Pathfinder I will never buy another Nissan. ****AVOID NISSAN.**** AVOID NISSAN.**** I hate writing about this, but I told them I would so I will. I bought a Nissan Versa about 5 years ago. I wish I had used Google and listened to my wife. If I'd simply done a search I would've discovered a design flaw in the transmission from that period of vehicles. I thought, "Hey, an import. Good on gas and reliable, right?" ... Not this one.

What I needed was a vehicle that will be good on gas, relatively comfortable and reliable. The car I had previously was a Toyota Echo. I drove it for 350,000 miles and sold it for $300. I never had any engine or transmission trouble at all. Being a design flaw problem, I asked Nissan for help twice. I got nothing. They said no for any help. I would've even gone for a 50/50 on their $3800 transmission. $1900 each? C'mon you multi-billion dollar automotive manufacturer!! The car has 164,000 miles on it and is now, an expensive paperweight.

Knowing that I put about 2500 miles/month on my vehicles, you know that it is a good testing ground. No abuse, just many highway miles. It is in my professional opinion that Nissan ... sucks. I encourage everyone to avoid Nissan, not because I think all of their vehicles are crap, I don't, but because they DO NOT stand behind a product they KNOW is flawed from the beginning. I'm off to listen to Deftones and look for another car now. (whispers) ... Nissan sucks.

I called corporate after a year of that and was told the parts were available, they just had to order them. Service dept said no they were told the parts were "restricted". After 5 years of this I made an appointment with their recall hotline. When I brought the car in for service I was told the airbag was not there and I should not have made the appointment thru the hotline but thru the service dept. I was also told that the passenger airbag was replaced already. IT WAS NOT. The help in the service dept are pleasant, but the overall service sucks!

Dec of 2018 I purchased my 8th Nissan through a local used car dealer. I purchased a 2015 Nissan Altima with 43k miles cosmetically good condition. At first I noticed it was smoking blue when I would power on the vehicle and the smell of Burnt rubber. As I normally do with all my vehicles I called Nissan to see if it had any recalls etc. and took it for service, shortly after I get low oil pressure on my dash. I then looked at the owner's manual and called where I had my oil change they re serviced and did not notice any leaks etc.

3/20/10 I took it to Rothrock Nissan in Allentown for diagnostics and they tell me that there is oil burning something having to do with the valves, but that I needed to bring it in again for a 3 hr diagnostics at $120 hr (of course this is out of pocket unless it's approved to be covered by Nissan powertrain warranty that the vehicle still had till it reached 60k). I took my vehicle in on 3/26/19 in the morning, at this point I needed a rental to get to and from. I asked my advisor Simone and she says they don't have any and proceeds to call a major car rental co. I called throughout the week to get updates since it went from a 3 hr to a wk long diagnostics and I was told they found sludge in the oil pan therefore more than likely Nissan would deny covering under warranty as that only happens due to poor maintenance. (Really? I'm being held liable for a previous owner lack of maintenance yet I have all my service receipts).

I quickly called Consumer Affairs and opened a claim with them which I didn't get a call till I had already picked up my car on a Tuesday because when I went to Rothrock my car was unassembled and the tech working on it was off. Really??? Wow customer service and having me an answer by Friday of the same week, keep in mind I called the service manager Patrick twice to get updates and no return call. I literally had to show up after work to get an answer. At this point I have to keep a rental 3 more days to my expense (smh). I was told the claim had not been approved yet and I would have to wait till Monday 4/1/19. I called Monday and they stated it had been denied now the warranty was null and void. Lovely Nissan!!!!

I will never purchase another Nissan needless to say, being that they do not stand by their clients, I am now $690 out of pocket between car rental and diagnostics and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to try and make up for not approving replacing the engine through the powertrain warranty. They should've at least covered the diagnostics then. Tuesday of that following week I get a call from Trenisha at Nissan Consumer Affairs and they didn't even know I had the vehicle in my possession nor that supposedly the claim had been denied.

So now I'm 10k in a car debt/payment for a car that needs a new engine, had powertrain warranty but no longer valid through Nissan's decision and $690 less in my pocket. So much for staying faithful to the brand. AGAIN don't BUY USED NISSANS THAT SO CALLED ARE STILL UNDER WARRANTY AS THEY WILL LOOK FOR ANY EXCUSE TO NOT COVER. The worst part is realistically no used car dealer takes out all of the oil pans to used vehicles purchased at auctions or traded in.

If I could rate Nissan a 0 I would. All around terrible service from the advisors up to management. Brought my vehicle into Pine Belt Nissan of Tomsriver NJ. I had what I believed to be a stress crack across my windshield. The advisor along with the service manager both looked at it, and clearly said they could NOT find any point of impact, obviously with that being said it would be a factory defect. They sent all my info along with photos to Nissan corporate. Who I went back and forth with to have it covered since the glass had NOT been hit. Anyway it had been denied all across the board. Not a single person could provide an explanation on why the glass broke, of course they only work there but know NOTHING. I even asked them if they could Pay half the cost. Again was told NO.

I would of happily taken aftermarket glass didn't have to come from the factory. I'm guessing Nissan knows nothing of “goodwill”. Customer service is TERRIBLE! They can't even do the right thing for their customers, they would much rather lose them instead. Nissan is pathetic. I would never ever lease or purchase anything from this awful awful company again! Everyone else tell your friends and family! All they could come up with was, "Sorry car is not in warranty," spare me Nissan. I will never serve my car in any Nissan service center again. I am really disappointed with AV Nissan. I purchased a Brand New Vehicle. It was a, too good to be true offer when purchasing my car. The problem started when my passenger side door wouldn't fully close unless you slammed the door close. I took it in for service, 3 days after purchasing the vehicle. The service Rep came out and told me just slam the door. It's not a big issue. Me being me I thought small issue. What the heck, I let that slide. A year after having the car, I took it in for service because the car was giving me problems. Service "inspected" my car and said it was the transmission. Okay... Luckily it was still under warranty so they "repaired" the problem. What I'm concerned is, how does a brand new vehicle, need a new transmission after a year. Anyway, my vehicle has been a headache! I mean problem after problem and here I am again with my vehicle that only has 67,000 miles needing a new transmission.

I found it a little skeptical, so I took it to universal city Nissan. They couldn't find nothing wrong with my vehicle. The codes that AV Nissan claimed were due to a bad transmission were not coming up. They called AV Nissan to make sure the paper work that was given to me was correct. They said they do not want to change the transmission and charge me because if the problem is not the transmission, well there goes my money. I am very upset. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs. I have a case open with them. Nissan consumer affairs agent state they have been trying to reach AV Nissan service manager and there has been no answer since March 07, 2019.

Kiana the Nissan consumer affairs agent called me back. She was rude, pretty much told me there was nothing they can do! Kiana did state she’s no mechanic specialist but that universal city Nissan found nothing wrong with the car so to take it back to AV Nissan. Why would I want to take it back to the place I bought the messed up car. I would suggest everyone to take your business with another dealership. Save yourselves the headache! At the time I was told it was determined that lack of maintenance was the problem. I was not aware that a Turbo Charger needed maintenance and furthermore, They have all the records of my oil changes since I bought the car in 2014 so that could not be the problem.

Now, my timing belt broke, damaging the timing belt housing and causing other damage to more parts of the engine. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs to ask them to review the problem once again. Every single one of the van have had warranty issues with catalytic converter and fuel pumps. I am amazed how Nissan has not issued a recall on this yet. For the most part Central Nissan has taken care of my warranty issues until today. This NV van had 60K miles and I was told by service adviser Anthony that it's out of warranty since the catalytic converter has a 50K mile warranty. I explained to him all my other van had the same issues. He advised me the cost will be around $3500 for repairs. Knowing this is an ongoing issue with these vans I wondered why wouldn't NISSAN warranty this one on good faith.

Anthony suggested that if I had done their recommended fuel service then this wouldn't have happened. (This angered me more than the $3500 bill.) I told him I even had brought the same vehicle in around 30K miles and had service adviser David ** check on the same issues. He assured me nothing was wrong with this one and noted on my account if the issue arise after warranty that he would take care of it. After I complained and told them the situation was documented in my account prior to the expiration of my warranty, they offered to pay 80% of the cost to repair. I don't understand that if they admit guilt and will pay 80%, why don't they pay the entire balance. This is obviously a defect and should be a nationwide recall. But instead of taking ownership of the problem, Nissan tries to pass the cost to consumers.

THIS SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED. I will continue to send this message to anyone in Nissan that will take my concern seriously. This will be posted to all Nissan social media account until I get a response. This is terrible service especially to a customer that has a fleet of Nissan vehicles. BUYER BEWARE. We set our payments up on auto draft, but it didn't work. We had no idea the payment wasn't being made until it was too late, and now it's tanking our credit. We could have paid outright for the car, but financed it for the sole purpose of increasing our credit score. We began getting calls from Nissan shortly prior to the payment being 30 days late, which sounds like they were doing their due diligence, correct? Wrong.

Their calling system is antiquated and set up exactly like someone committing identity theft, like the spam calls everyone gets numerous times per day. We had no way of knowing it was a legitimate call because sometimes we'd answer and it would automatically disconnect. We'd call back. Sometimes it would answer and automatically disconnect, sometimes an automated system would ask for our FULL social security number (not just the last four of our SSN) before agreeing to connect us to a representative.

Considering we thought we were set up on auto draft, therefore thought our payments were being made, and were getting calls from an automated system claiming to be Nissan, at times disconnecting when we answered, at times disconnecting when we called back, and asking us to enter our full social security number when we got through, it all seemed sketchy. It would not be difficult for anyone attempting identity theft to figure out we are making payments to Nissan, call us under the guise of Nissan, and ask for our personal information. Considering the circumstances, we legitimately thought these were spam calls. Furthermore, we received no written communication from Nissan letting us know payments weren't being made, and no phone calls from a live representative. Just sketchy automated phone calls, like the numerous ones we get each day that are spam.

My husband finally decided to figure out what was going on and called the dealership where we purchased the car. We had an incredible experience with them when we bought the car, which is the reason we bought a Nissan in the first place. The finance manager called the number with my husband to verify whether or not it was spam. That's when we realized these calls were legitimate, our payments weren't set up on auto draft, like we thought, and we had a payment over 30 days late.

We explained our situation, brought our payments up to date immediately, even paying extra, and they submitted our account to the legal and credit department for review, to hopefully reverse the negative mark on our credit. Not only did they not reverse it, the customer service supervisor I spoke with when I called to find out the status of the account was incredibly rude and disrespectful. In all my years of talking to customer service representatives, some are fantastic, but she was among the worst. Degrading words, degrading tone of voice. It still astounds me that she spoke to me the way she did.

I wish I would have read all of the negative reviews regarding Nissan Finance before we financed our vehicle. Like I stated before, we could have paid cash for it, but decided to finance it for the sole purpose increasing our credit score. At the very least we would have financed it through our own bank, it was just easier the day we purchased the car to go ahead and finance through Nissan. BIG MISTAKE! We aren’t done fighting this. If there is a resolution other than our current situation I will update this review.

I’m not looking forward to the hours we are going to have to put in to correct a situation that wouldn’t exist if Nissan Finance operated like a company that legitimately cared about its customers, like Honda, Toyota, etc. etc. Again, BUYER BEWARE! If you finance through Nissan, get ready for a rough ride. Keep track of your auto drafts – DO NOT trust that the system will do what it’s supposed to do. And if you happen to have an issue to work out be prepared to be talked to very disrespectfully.

Diagnostic test came back with CVT problem. Code wasn't enough evidence so hundreds of dollars later, needed an extensive diagnostic test. Still wasn't enough for Nissan. I had to record my dashboard of the tachometer jumping with the judder. Sent it in and dealership said more proof was needed because I could have been doing it with the gas pedal. While driving I had to now record both my tachometer and speedometer at the same time. Sent it in and woman at dealership never called me for the status so when I called her a week and a half later (of course one of the Reps relays her message as usual because I can never reach her. She never takes my phone calls or calls me back, she tells her reps that she's busy and gives them a message for me).

She stated I needed to call Consumer Affairs to open a case so she could send the video in which I already had a case opened which was how she was able to submit the first set of videos in the first place. Apparently many people have this issue and Nissan should not be in business if this is how they treat their customers. I plan to contact NY State Attorney General and the FTC. Note, I do not have a trailer hitch, and do not tow anything. This seems like a very extreme repair for a truck with mileage in the 80k range - and would seem to be a reflection of the poor quality and craftsmanship when it was built. I've regularly taken this vehicle to the same dealer service department for previous repairs, oil changes, etc.- there were no previous signs or indications that this would be an issue.

Absolutely horrible service from all aspects of Nissan. Summary: Issue was reported to Nissan Consumer Affairs (CA) and I was told that my car was still under warranty. My vehicle was at McDavid Nissan for 5 days before it was looked at despite having an appointment. Due to the delay in inspecting the vehicle the warranty had exceeded the 3 year warranty window. CA changed. Told me I was out of luck but would examine my case for out of warranty assistance. This would take an additional 3-5 business days. 12+ calls were left unanswered and messages left un-returned about the status of my vehicle. 3 messages left with the service manager were un-returned. No loaner car was provided and I was told I would need to pay to rent a vehicle. The 6 hour job took 9 days to complete.

Full Story: I purchased a 2016 370Z NISMO In November 2015. My vehicle developed a water leak in heavy rain on the driver side door. This looks to be a common problem with these vehicles. My vehicle had 33,000 miles and I was told at another dealership that the warranty only covered 32,000 miles. I reported the issue to CA on a survey and was called by a representative. They told me that my vehicle was still under warranty and should take it in. I made an appointment as soon as I could and dropped the vehicle off on a Monday at 4 PM. I was told that no loaner would be provided and that I needed to pay for a rental. This is ridiculous and seems to be the common policy for all Nissan dealers. By Wednesday they had still not inspected the car.

Finally, on Friday they called to let me know that they had found the issue and that I would need to approve the charges. I called to find out what the charges were since it was under warranty, but my service rep was out of the office and no one else could help me. On Saturday I was finally able to reach my service rep who informed me that my warranty had expired 3 days prior to me bringing it in and the work would cost $2,000. I called back to CA to figure out why I was told the work would be covered. When I called they told me I was screwed. Even though I had reported the issue inside the 3-year window, and the exact issue I described was found upon inspection, since the service department took so long to inspect the vehicle the warranty had expired.

On the following Monday they called me back in and said they would look at my case for out of warranty assistance in 3-5 days but there were no guarantees. I told the dealer to order the parts so that the work could progress while I was waiting. The parts took twice as long to arrive over what I was told. When I called to find out about the status of the parts my calls were ignored and when I left messages no one would return my calls. I called over 8 times on Tuesday to get a status update and all the calls were ignored. I left 2 different messages with the service manager and these calls were never returned. I was again denied a loaner car. During the entire process my issues were treated as my problem and Nissan was of no help.

On Wednesday I called again to get a status update, after 3 ignored call and another ignored message to the service manager, I was told that they were still waiting on approval from CA. CA told me they had marked the case urgent, but it could take another day or two. I told them the work would be complete and that I was going to pick up the car because I needed transportation. CA said that if I did that, the case would have to be reevaluated for reimbursement and could change their decision. I told them that this was absurd, and they said they couldn't do anything about it.

Later that day CA called to let me know they had finally reached a decision to cover the repairs. I went to the dealership to pick up the car, but it wasn't ready even though I was told it would be. When the car was finally done, they didn't pull it up, they just gave me the keys and told me to go find my vehicle. I will never buy another Nissan and neither will my friends or coworkers.

Updated on 04/05/2019: I bought my Nissan Juke Shoro in the UK 2012 brand new. I live in Spain and had it shipped out to me. it never was a fast car but that was ok with me as I cruel around town anyway. A friend drove my car in 2016, it was the first time I had allowed anyone to drive her. He said it didn't seem to have any power and as there was a slight noise from the engine, took it to Nissan Dealers. I was told the gearbox had broken and it needed to be replaced, €10,000!!! I was out of warranty by age but was within milage. I had to fight with Nissan Spain for 5 weeks. They agreed to replace the CVT and I was to pay €1,000 to have it fitted, I was pretty annoyed but paid.

Less than 2 years later the same thing, CVT gearbox had gone again. That was in Oct 2018, Nissan refuse to admitted that the car as a fault and now want me to pay €4,000 for a recondition CVT. It's now April 2019 and I have heard nothing. I ended up buying a little Opel for €5,000 with very little mileage. Nissan can keep the car, I wouldn't want it back now anyway. The service I had with Nissan every year was a waste of money. I am very very disappointed with Nissan and would never buy a car from then again.

Original Review: I bought my new Nissan Juke Shiro Limited in 2012 and had it shipped to Spain. In 2016 after a friend had driven it, they brought to my attention that it had no power! Nada! To be honest I had always felt a bit un-at-ease when driving my Juke and felt I didn’t have much control on the speed but never through much if it. Especially as I had always serviced my car at a Nissan dealership approved garage and always got conned into paying premium instead of a standard service. So took my Juke to Nissan dealership and I am told the gearbox had broken, a new one would cost €10,000 including fitting! I was just 3 months out of my 3 year warranty but luckily within the mileage. So after 5 weeks of talk and waiting for decisions, Nissan Europe decided to replace the gearbox and I agreed to the €1,000 cost to fit it. It only had 1 year warranty but surely I wouldn’t need another new gearbox.

2 years later, 3 months after the premium service at Nissan... A friend drove my car and said the same as my last friend who had driven it in 2016!! No power! I took it back to Nissan garage, only to be told the gearbox was broken, again. Metal getting into the oil because 2 disks are grinding together in the gearbox... 2 months later, several phone calls, emails and messages. Nissan will only offer a 35% discount on a recondition gearbox €3,998! I can’t see how a faulty car manufactured and badly made by Nissan can be my fault. It cost me over £18,000 new.

I am now out of pocket by €1,500 on rental cars and Nissan just don’t give a damn. I was never offered a courtesy car this time or back in 2016. This whole situation has had me sick with worry and not even having €3,998 to pay for the reconditioned gearbox that Nissan have offered! So I can having to pay another month of car hire cost, I am totally lost as to what to do. The head office in Barcelona that have also dealt with my case have been totally unprofessional and unresponsive to my phone calls and my emails. Needless to say, I would never buy another Nissan again???

No matter how hard you hit the accelerator it will not speed up! I had to pull over before a car could have hit me and once I stopped it would not move at all, not in reverse not in drive nothing! I had to get a tow truck to tow my car back to my house and even then the driver told me that I’m better off buying a new car.

I’m so upset, as to I owe 10k on it still and am looking at a 5k bill fixing it! I tried trading in the car to find out my car's value is only 3k!!! I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs office and was told there was nothing that could be done about my transmission problem, they did let me know there was a recall about the seatbelts yet I can’t even use my seatbelt due to my car being a death trap! Bear with me this a long story, but I took a chance with a Nissan Dealer and am now regretting ever buying a Nissan. I’ve owned my car for a little over 3 months, and 1/3 of those months I have had it in the shop- untouched. Unfortunately, I live in Michigan- where the road conditions are unpredictable. I hit something, and immediately had it towed to a Nissan dealership near me - Fox Nissan of Lansing. This is where they held my car for 2 weeks, telling me they could repair it. At the end of these 2 week they informed my insurance that they DO NOT have a collision center and cannot fix my car.

Look, I know I should have asked the right questions, but I work a 9-5 job and every time I tried to call to talk to someone they were busy, which I understand, but I never received any callbacks, and I received no EMPATHY from the sales desk. When talking to what was said to be the manager there, he offered me nothing for my wait.

After towing my car to a collision center nearby, they inform me one part for my car will take 4-6 weeks to get there. Then at which I will have to wait for them to fix my car. Now, I am in a position where I must loan a family friend’s car for 2 months. I then reached out to Nissan’s customer service to see if there is anything they can do for me. I wait another week to find out there is not ONE single thing they can do for me, NOTHING. Now, I have worked in the customer service industry for YEARS. For me to buy a car and have something misfortunate happen soon after, and must wait 2 months for me to see my car, be offered no rental/ loaner, no free future services, no free car payments, nothing? Now that makes for a very unhappy customer. I will no longer be buying a Nissan after this car. For any new car buyers? I wouldn’t buy a Nissan either.

I bought my Titan new and had the usual rotor problem and the rear axle end seals blowing out. Nissan fixes the rotor issue without problems. The axle end seal happened at 76,000 miles, just 1,000 miles out of warranty but after many complaints to corporate, they agreed to pay half. This fix lasted about 4,000 miles, Instead of repeating the repair, I chose to use a thicker viscosity rear end lube from Lucas. I also had to replace the radiator but that is common on all vehicles now that radiators are plastic.

If you’re wondering why I give this truck 4 stars, I almost gave it 5 stars, this truck had 355,000 miles on it when I traded it in 2013. Those issues listed above are the only problems I had with this truck and it still ran like a new truck when I traded. The engine and transmission were beasts. I attribute the performance of this Titan to changing my oil every 20 to 25,000 miles with Amsoil and Ea filters. I would have bought another Titan at trade but needed better mpg. Traded for a Ram 1500 4wd and it now has 270,000 using Amsoil.

My husband and I leased a Nissan Rogue as a second car for him to drive back and forth to dialysis. We choose Nissan because of a very good lease program available to us. This was our first experience with a Nissan vehicle but not a lease program. 14 months in the lease, my husband passed. I called Nissan numerous time to work out a deal to get released from the Nissan and lease program. The penalty to get out of the lease is full payment of the lease minus one payment. Much to my surprise there is no death penalty in the lease agreement and basically I am stuck with the car and lease.

I explained my hardship on not needing 2 vehicles with no longer having my husband's income, no longer having a need for a second car, no longer needing to make vehicle insurance payments or license payments. Needless to say, how disappointed I am with Nissan to not honor a death of a spouse or hardship. I have been very vocal on my disappointment of Nissan's treatment and their lack of sympathy of my husband's passing. This was my first and last time I will ever purchase a Nissan vehicle.

I bought a 2016 Versa Note in 2016 and while I love my car and have had no problems with the car itself at all - dealing with the finance department of Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp (NMAC) has been a nightmare. It was ok the first few months. They offer FREE one time payment through their website as well as recurring autopayments and then over the phone methods of paying which charge fees ranging from 7 to 12 bucks. They have taken duplicate payments in August and when I called about it they stated they were going to refund one of them - which they never sent the refund out to me yet on the account it showed a reversed payment so the system kept reporting that I had not paid.

As they had never sent the refund and still had my duplicate payment for that month I had actually paid a month in advance yet the system continued to show I hadn't paid August's payment at all. I called and spoke with multiple people who all confirmed my next payment would not be due until October. In September the system took YET ANOTHER payment. Note - this is now $975 of payments that the system is only showing $325 having been received. I called AGAIN and said they needed to get my money back to me ASAP.

I was put on hold for 45 minutes while he "spoke with a supervisor" and then it dropped my call. I call back and of course it's a new person and there's no note on my account about a refund. This person says the fastest way to get my money is to call the bank and stop the payment. I stop the September payment with my bank which cost me 25 bucks and call Nissan back to tell them to forget it I fixed it myself. Nissan says - "Oh I see in the system they've issued you a refund check." I said - "Guess you better call your bank and pay the stop payment fee like I just had to do!" Apparently they didn't. I get the refund check in the mail and ignore it.

I'm sick of being put on hold and having to call them every damn day at this point. WELL - because I did the stop payment - per Nissan's advice - AND they sent a refund check the system reversed the September payment that they took without my permission, and the SECOND August payment! So now the system shows that I haven't paid since July.

To recap - $325 + $325 taken in August - refund of $325 never received yet recorded in system manually by person who said I could have one imaginary refund reversed the duplicate August payment in the system though I never actually got my money back (Nissan still has my $650 - Aug and Sept payment). $325 taken in Sept - stop payment reversed the Sept payment. Nissan issued a refund even though I told them I fixed it myself and to stop their check (they didn't). System reversed the Sept payment owing to the refund (it reverses once the check is cut not when you cash the check). System then reversed the FIRST August payment owing to the stop payment.

So - I have now paid $975 dollars in 2 months and gotten $325 back yet Nissan continues to tell me I owe them $650 dollars plus late fees. To which I laughed hysterically in their ear and hung up. I took some shots and called back and I FINALLY get a supervisor which I have asked to speak to no less than 6 times since August and I break it all down for her repeatedly until she understands what has occurred. She says - deposit the check in my account and make a $655 payment to fix the September payment and pay October.

+325 Aug 1. +325 Aug 2 (should count toward Sept). +325 Sept. -325 Refund (for Sept payment taken which is now a double). + 655 Pay Sept and Aug 2 payment that I actually already paid and never got a refund for but the system thought I did). So I stop the auto payments because ** them and do one time payment in November. I get the thank you email on Nov 14, the "your payment is processing" email November 15, and then it never hits my account. By today I'm like CRAP guess I gotta call. I call them and they're telling me how this is a problem with my bank. NO - you are the common denominator. This is a problem WITH YOU.

I told them I will not pay late fees and I will not have this hitting my credit account and that I wanted it in the notes on my account that I want to give them money and they don't want to take it. They want me to use BILL MATRIX which charges 12 bucks to make a payment. Their FREE one time payment method HARDLY ever works THUS FORCING YOU TO USE BILL MATRIX and pay a fee! I'm on to their game! I will keep submitting free one time payments and making notes in my account for the rest of my eternity before I pay another payment fee to this disorganized mess of a finance department. This is the hill I will die on. The end.

Since the repair of $4.0K will cost more than the value of the car, I'm going to junk it and try to get as much money back on the $16K that I paid. I can't believe that a car that is not even 5 years old has a transmission failure! Sometimes I feel that I might get into a car accident and Nissan did nothing for me. They just say, “Sorry you’re screwed. We purchased a new 2015 Nissan Rogue with a CVT transmission, we also paid for an extended warranty. We have since put 91,000 highway miles on the vehicle. The transmission began to stutter and lightly slip at random intervals. I DROVE it to an authorized dealer (Antwerpen Nissan here in Owings Mills, MD). They told us that after ($149) diagnosis, it needed a valve body and cooling assembly. We were then informed that it needed a new Catalytic converter as well. They stated that our extended warranty expired at 60,000 miles, but Nissan would cover 60% of the transmission work.

After replacing the parts, the vehicle was still doing the same thing and now would not shift out of 1st gear. We were informed that we were now responsible for an additional $1377.00 for another transmission part. Remember that I drove the vehicle there, with NO issues of shifting our of 1st gear. Bill at this point would now be around $3700.00. They have now replaced the additional part (I was not told what the mysterious part is) and again the vehicle will still not shift out of 1st gear and still slips. I have now been told that they will have to try and figure out what to do next, however it will of course be an additional charge.

They have had the Rogue for 2 weeks now, they DID provide a courtesy car after 4 days. I have cited multiple online recalls for 2012 to 2018 Nissan Rogue with the CVT transmission, as well as lawsuits I have found about them. I was told that my vehicle is not listed by the Highway administration as being part of any recall or bulletin. BEWARE. We are adult drivers who are not rough on our vehicles. We are without our vehicle, currently sitting at a huge bill, a broken vehicle that has only gotten worse from the work that was done, and still waiting to hear how much MORE we will have to pay to get our Rogue back.

I turned in a 3 year leased 2015 Nissan and purchased a 2017 Nissan Altima on November 30, 2017. I only had one car in my possession. My automatic payment from my bank did not get stopped in time for two payments which both went to the leased car, which I had turned in. When I found out what happened in January (when I would normally make my first car payment on a new car) I went straight to the dealership and we both called numerous times about the over-payment. On January 22, 2018 I decided to make a second payment to protect my good credit. All they had to do was to transfer my funds to the new car. They said they would but they did not.

I had an executive lease on the car (I highly recommend this) so I did not owe anything for any damage to the lease. I received a letter from Nissan Motor Acceptance telling me not to make a payment in February (because they were holding $1047) so I did not make February's payment, In March I made my regular payment for the new 2017 Nissan and realized they never transferred the funds to the right car in February!

So, on March 7th I made two more car payments, again to protect my good credit (did I mention I received a letter that threatened to take back the car during this fiasco?). So, I paid March on time and did not pay February's payment because they said they would transfer the funds, but they did not. Late in March I received a check for over all the money they owed me. That was three months of my wasted time and after all that, they still ruined my I credit saying I was 30 days late in February and 60 days late in March!! Worst of all I contacted the 3 credit bureaus with the letter from Nissan saying not to pay in February and the check for over $1047 with an apology letter in March, but Nissan is refusing to allow my credit to be restored!! I've lost out on a 0 interest credit card and have been denied credit due to this and my credit score has dropped from 733 to 705. It is now ten months later and I am still working on repairing the damage they have done!!

I provided this information so that you can confirm that I have been a committed customer of your product and the reason I have stood by the Nissan product is due to not only the reliability, dependability and low maintenance of the Vehicles but more importantly we are a family on a fixed budget like many families and having a low maintenance cost vehicle is that more important to us.

We live in the great hot state of Florida the city of Orlando and having an AC unit that works properly in our vehicle is a crucial component. Our 2014 Nissan only has 34,216 miles on it - yes it is outside of the warranty for the years but the mileage average is less than 10K a year and no one would expect the AC compressor to go bad with such low mileage in a Nissan Product, my 2009 Sentra still blows cold air with over 100K mileage. Up until now I have had no issues with any of the Four Nissan Vehicle that we have purchased and it's shocking to me to have a major component go bad with only 34,000 miles driven. Yesterday I paid $160.39 to have the vehicle diagnosed and confirmed to have a bad compressor by my local Nissan dealership. I believe Nissan should really stand by their product and Recommend Goodwill and replace the bad unit free of charge to me for such an unusual circumstance.

Don't take it! Bad customer service, broken web, incompetent employees, managers that are quitting and credit department with its own world. LIARS AND RUDE TO CUSTOMERS. I had a car loan with Nissan going directly from the bank. (Draft) 2012-2017. In the year 2015 Nissan changed the rules that the last payment must be paid hard check not directly from the bank as draft. Nissan never informed existing customers about it (me being one of them) and this is common knowledge when you call Nissan customer service - they know they did not tell existing customers. Nissan did not contact me until the payment was already 30 days late. Manager at the time swore up and down this will not be sent to creditors as it was not my mistake and because they did not contact me - they had issues with new web that was put in place in 2015 (also known to all of them).

That manager left a note in my account, as that I did not know my last payment must be done by physical check. However, Nissan still reported me to creditors as they don't read managers notes and don't care that this is their mistake. I was never late in my life. My credit score dropped from 850 to 698. There is nothing else bad on my credit, I paid for the report. Nissan credit services refuse to send a note to creditors, but when managers answer the phone, they tell me it will be ok and they stand by their mistakes. Because of their disconnect with credit department my life is ruined. I have never made a mistake in my life. I lived by the rules for 22 years building my credit score and perfect history. None of the higher ups offered to fix this mistake for me. It takes one letter to creditors to get my life back.

Well here goes. Nissan car/van owners beware. Their customer service and warranty is horrendous. And without a doubt they have an issue with the engines, same recall as Toyota but instead of calling it a recall they are simply finding an excuse to revoke your warranty and make you pay for the new engine. We’ve owned nothing but Nissans since 1996. Our 2 year old passenger van with 56k Miles started burning oil. No engine warning light came on, no low oil warning light, nothing.

We brought it to the dealership three times for oil level tests, then they took the van last Monday to do more tests. They don’t pay for a rental, don’t give you a comparable rental so I’m in a 5 passenger car. They then tell us it needs a $12,000 new engine and warranty was revoked because we are missing one receipt. I’ve spoken to at least 9 people at Nissan Corporate. No one can do anything because Nissan Warranty is not “customer facing.” Their decision is final. So, our van will get its new engine. We’ll suck up the cost then trade it in for something new. NOT NISSAN.

I dont know why I never learn my lesson always coming back to this dealership. When I would search for car loans for bad credit, they would always come up. Been turned down 4x, the last humiliating incident, finally got approved through the help of a friend who's only supposed to cosign with me but ended up having the loan under his name only, my name - hopeless. So we drove home and just before the 2nd week, they called asking for my friend's tax returns. Wrong timing coz this a few days before the long weekend. I was able to submit what they want right after long weekend. Now they're saying bank got suspicious and asking for cosigner. I said, "You guys are the ones who decided the loan be put solely under my friend's name, and we kept you posted about the delay on the docs being asked so you can somehow keep your bank posted and now we are faced with this." My salesman said, "Bank said no cosigner no deal."

I said, "Ok here's the key... TAKE IT." So they did even if I already put 3,000 miles in it in only a 3 wk time. What I cant forget is the humiliation of taking my stuff out under the heat of the sun and piling them up on the side of the guest parking while I wait for my friend to pick me up. FIRST TIME that I experienced such humiliation, although I'm a BIG FAN of the NISSAN JUKE, and 2nd GENERATION NISSAN JUKE IS COMING OUT NEXT YEAR; NEVER MIND AND NEVER AGAIN. Thanks Nissan LB. That review is posted on their website. Customer Relations messaged me and left a number to call in case I want to further discuss and get help, but for 4 days I've been calling but no ones answering. I thought they are testing me how far can I go about telling my ordeal, so I'm escalating it to you.

I was involved in a serious accident which totaled my 2017 Murano (not my fault). I was injured, however, I notified the insurance company and GAP immediately. The insurance company totaled the Murano (which I knew they would). I notified Nissan financial within a few days and shut off auto pay. Within a few weeks I had to replace my car (went with Subaru this time, it's much safer). Nissan received the check from the insurance company for $21000 about 3 weeks after the accident, Nissan is filing the GAP claim. However, Since they have not received the GAP payment within 30 days after I stopped payments on the Murano, Nissan finance hit my credit for late payment (even though they received $21000 from my insurance company before the 30 days late).

Since I needed to replace Murano and I knew insurance and GAP would pay it off. Nissan does not care about circumstances (injured, needed a new car, etc...). They will not wait for the GAP payment. I made every payment on time until the accident happened. Nissan ruined my credit. I'm still under Dr's care and have not been cleared to go back to work, but Nissan does not care. All they have to do is put the late payment on the back end of the loan, but they won't do that. Shame on you Nissan, ethics are not your strong point.

Dropped off my 2013 Nissan Versa for the CVT recall. After I left and got onto the 101 freeway my car went from 60 MPH to about 10 right in front of a Big Rig truck. We crawled toward the nearest exit and went back to the dealer. They said it needed a new transmission and would be 4000 dollars. At 51,000 my warranty was up since it had been a few months over 5 years. They said it was still driveable since I didnt have the cash to fork over so we left and almost got hit as the car stopped on La Brea and Fountain. As I was in extreme distress and by the grace of God we were able to pull into an urgent care lot and the ladies said we could park the car there until we got a tow truck. This was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me and now I am unable to go anywhere as I have no car. Nissan... SHAME ON YOU!!!

When it snow or ices the parking sensors go haywire. The computer had to be reprogrammed for shifting issues. The rear end has popping sound when the brakes are applied and the list of issues continue to grow. Coming from a Loyal Nissan customer FOR ELEVEN PLUS YEARS, I am disgusted at their lack of care and concern for issues that my recent lease CAME WITH. I just signed this lease, trading in my old one at the end of May. I will NEVER go with Nissan again after my recent experiences with the Patchogue, NY Dealership and Consumer Affairs absolute lack of care and effort to mend anything. Problems at the dealership level have left me going to Consumer Affairs which were of no further help at all. They act as if all of this is out of their hands and there is nothing to do to reassure their efforts at trying to make me satisfied.

They cannot get one person on the phone to speak with me. I have had issues regarding my new 2018 lease 3 months in, leaving it in the shop to be repaired with NO ETA of time it will be done (because items are back-ordered) and ready for me to drive again. Though they did mention maybe some time in October... awesome because I dropped off my car on 8/27. I also only get this info through voicemails because every time I try to call back it goes to voicemail and I won't receive another call until they have their "scheduled time" to call me back. Horrible customer service and quality of care.

My new lease has a safety brake issue where the auto safety break will go off when no one is around, breaking my car while going 40+ mph. Apparently this is a VERY COMMON issue (talk about safety) with ALL Nissan models starting with the VIN "K". So I'd check your VIN because I am sure if you don't say anything about it, they won't either. I have also had the issue of my backup camera lagging and freezing as backing up since the beginning. There was no point to even use it because it was inaccurate and dangerous to do so. My radio has also just decided to black out one day for a good 10 minutes. Couldn't do anything about it. This is my THIRD time back to the dealership where they finally kept the car to fix it fully, even after showing them video evidence of my experiences the second time I went back.

Patchogue has provided me a loaner of not even the same model or year of my current Rogue lease. Which is fine and I normally wouldn't care, BUT at this point, still paying for a new lease yet driving around an older vehicle for over a month has me fuming. I have been polite and patient up until now. The back and forth phone calls that go nowhere are leaving me stressed and in disbelief with this company. I am in shock and SO dissatisfied with all this "new" 2018 Nissan Rogue and Nissan Customer Service has come with. This is my fourth Nissan, third lease. I have NEVER had an experience like this. I am beyond shocked and pissed.

How can the government say rear end crashes will be helped by the very technology that will cause them on the other end? Our 2018 Rogue suddenly started braking, with no reason!! We bought it just a month ago. Was driving 30 mph on a neighborhood road. The car made a loud grinding sound and suddenly stopped dead still. No cars in front or back. No metal plates in the road (I’ve heard things like that, or railroad tracks, even small birds, etc. will trigger the faulty sensor and cause the brakes to engage!). This is a known issue. And is very dangerous and could be deadly. The dealership says they have received no information on this from Nissan, although we have found bulletins issued several times and have printed them out. People will be killed because of this bad technology.

I bought a new 2018 Versa S plus in July. It gets good gas mileage and looks good. That’s where the good ends... The bad, The CVT transmission has an intermittent issue where it vibrates or shudders when coming to a stop. Dealer cannot find an issue. The main seal where engine meets transmission is seeping oil. The dealer refused to acknowledge it was oil (called it a liquid) and said Nissan will not cover repair unless it is dripping on the ground! Really???

I’ve had my oil changed twice, both times at two different Nissan dealerships. Both times they overfilled oil. First time they pumped 5 qts into a car in which the owner's manual states 3.75 qts and had to drain some out. The 2nd time they put in 4 qts and had to drain some out. The incompetence in these authorized Nissan dealerships is bewildering!

I’ve had three 27 point inspection and not one mention of the oil that is leaking from main seal. The green box is checked for leaks underneath car! I will be changing my own oil going forward and saving receipts. At least I know it will be done right... I will not purchase another Nissan product based off of my experience with the brand and incompetent service centers. I will definitely be selling this car before warranty is expired.

He even suggested to me the findings of my vehicle, (which was a transmission problem) and if I had an extended warranty that could of fix it. Sorry to say for myself I didn't, so I am left with an 80,000 mileage 2015 vehicle with a transmission problem involving a transmission switch that needs to be replace and they refuse to touch it because it seals with the transmission and suggested that I either pay for a new transmission (4000 dollars) or have one rebuild. I am not happy with the findings 'cause I look at my vehicle as being a very durable vehicle under 100000 mileage and a transmission problem should not be in the mix.

I have own a 1995 Toyota Camry with its mileage over 145000 and never had a transmission problem (probably would of still had it if someone did not hit into me on the road). To hear that Nissan vehicle is that unreliable make me question why my family supports them in the business. My cousins (4 of them), brother, myself, and other military friends and teachers have these vehicle made from Nissan and need to know; when the chips are down Nissan is not there for you to assist you in any way. They toss you aside like you are just another number to them. Their manufacture quality seems to be low and they dwell on customers paying extra for an extended warranty in order to fix their poor mechanical car issues. I have experienced multiple major issues that required me to repair my car at a huge expense. These are issues that car owners should not experience during the timeframes that I have owned my vehicle. They have caused an extreme amount of stress and required a large amount of time to fix. I purchased my car new, direct from the Nissan dealer.

Some of the issues I have experience is as follows. Right when I was leaving for the airport for my honeymoon, the key would not turn in the ignition and the car would not turn on. I almost missed my flight to the airport. Later, after major diagnosis, it turns out the pins in the ignition moved, which would not allow the key to turn. One entire summer, the engine temperature gauge would shoot up after I drove my car for 15 minutes. My engine would constantly overheat, the A/C would turn off, and I would have to pull over to cool my engine down. It turns out the radiator was malfunctioning, which was a very difficult problem to diagnose and required multiple assessments.

My newest problem is that my key no longer works and Nissan wants to charge me $500 to get new keys because they have worn out. I contacted Nissan, asking for financial assistance because I believe that keys should last the lifetime of the vehicle. Nissan told me that because my car is outside of warranty, they are not legally obligated to help me. This shows me that Nissan does not care about its customers at all. For an issue like this, Nissan should fix a key outside of warranty. I have only owned my car for 6 years. I am no longer a loyal Nissan customer and will be purchasing my next car from another company. My dad has been trying to tell me to sell my car and I think he is right. I have had enough.

Bought 4 years ago. Always maintained. Engines light comes on at 115k and it turns out that the CVT is to blame. Now I'm discovering that it's very common for these transmissions to only last 100k miles. It's super expensive to replace. After more research it seems to be more of a ($4k) consumable part instead of something you could trust to last for the life of the car. This would be okay, only if the repair cost wasn't going to effectively total the car. And totaled because no one wants to buy a car that is unreliable. The resale value is so low because of these problems? When called, Nissan offered no assistance and was very tight-lipped about this being anything but a rare occurrence. This is definitely a steep drop from the reliability standard I thought Nissan had. Never again?

Prior to 5/8/18 (I do not have this date or who I spoke with at Fletcher's) but I stated to them when my husband drove the car and placed his arm leaning on the center console the driver's seat would rub against the console causing this annoying squeaking that was continuous until he changed positions. I was asked if my husband was a bigger man and I said yes 6'3" 230 lbs but what does that have to do with it? He stated they have had several complaints about this and all the men were larger. I said that is no reason for the seat to squeak! We had other vehicles & not ever had this issue. So on 5/8/18 I took my car in and the service dept said they could and I agreed to let them install washers to tilt seat slightly and prevent rubbing.

This seemed to work briefly but then it started again. Nothing like before but still it should not be happening. So I went back again to report it. They said they will need my car 1/2 day but he will get ahold of Regional consumer affairs and find out how to get set up with tech. 6/11/18 Fletcher's called. Will get tech line assistance with them to get help on resolving problem. Appt set for Wed, 6/20/18, 10 a.m. 6/20/18 took car to Fletcher Nissan Joplin, MO. Service manager said will contact tech line and see what they can do. He came back to get me in just a short amount of time and said I could take car and he would call me to bring it back in once tech line calls them back to let him know how to resolve. On 6/29/18 I receive a call from Fletcher's customer service dept asking if my problem was resolved to my satisfaction and I said no and explained I was still waiting to hear back from service dept at which time she transferred me over to the head of the service dept.

The man said he had spoke with tech line and they were not to modify seat or replace it. He was told it is a characteristic of this vehicle. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! At which time I told him I would NEVER purchase another Nissan again and it is a shame because my sister bought one just like mine because I liked mine so much until this and now they will never buy another Nissan either. I called 800 Nissan back and spoke with agent #** and asked for a supervisor. He said he will have a supervisor call me back no later than tomorrow. He did have me explain to him my issue so it could be noted prior to supervisor calling me back. 7/12/18 a supervisor called, left a message on my phone and said "the dealership provided me with correct information. The vehicle is operating as designed and it is a normal characteristic. They will follow up with me tomorrow to make sure I received this message".

7/16/18 Sammie called and I was not where I could talk so told her I would call her back Tuesday at 10 a.m. She gave me her direct #. 7/17/18 Sammie called me back at 9:40 a.m. Said all she could do was restate what I had been told which was it is a characteristic of this vehicle. I said I knew of other people per Fletcher dealership in Joplin that are having this same problem but I also know it is not every car since my sister bought the same vehicle due to my recommendation and hers does not do this so how can you consider this a "characteristic". She once again said it is a characteristic of this vehicle. Call was ended! Case # ** 7/17/18 I called Sammie back. So, my plan is the next time it happens, to not reset it, record it, and drive all the way to the base to have them look at it, this could possibly if not, be a legal issue since the dealerships seem to think there is no issue and don't see a problem. Purchased three Nissan Vehicles from our local dealership. 1st was a 2012 Frontier (SL). Fully certified with less than 6,000 miles in 2015. The following issue came to light AFTER I purchased the truck. Both front and rear bumpers had to be replaced due to damage from the sale person who we found out drove the truck to pull his boat. He off set the bumpers and caused the braces to be pulled down causing the bumpers to pull away from the frame. The brakes were replaced twice at a cost of $680 each time. The initial brake repair was not proper repaired as the dealership used third party parts. Actually told me that and then claim they were Nissan parts - but had faults. Cost me two brake jobs and complete bumper replacements and the story is just starting.

When I felt unsafe in the vehicle I was going to sell it back to Nissan. That is when the adjuster informed me that the right side fender has been damaged and repaired. Also the front glass had been replace incorrectly. None of this was on the CARFAX, nor reported to me at the time of sale. Now my wife has a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The vehicle has portions of the front bumper pulling away from the body. The dealership informed me that my wife must have hit a parking block and dragged the frame over the block which has caused damage to the underside of the car. My wife may drive her car less than 3000 a year and SHE did it. No I think when they were preparing the car was sell they hit the lifting rack and caused the damage. The foot lift door doesn't work. No problem the dealership will tell you as they really never work correctly. NICE!

I have a 2015 Frontier from the same dealership. I just purchased the vehicle less than one month ago as I need to have a truck. Stupid me - thinking that everything would go well. Fooled me again! Yesterday the truck would not start leaving me well out of my local area. When we tried to replace the battery I found that wires and the battery were so corroded that it needed to replace the wiring and the battery. That was a great cost of funds. What does the 100 point inspect include? So I have been a fool for the third times. This is my fault. But I want everyone to know that you need to find a solid dealership that respect you and values your business.

The last time the check engine light came on, it stalled on the highway, nearly having us smashed by a tractor trailer. Yet, the dealership and Nissan continue to give us the run-around and refuse to cancel our loan, or provide us with a reasonable remedy, even after a formal complaint was filed. The transmission blew due to it overheating. It over heating due to the poorly manufactured cooling portion of the CVT. Which resulting in the transmission being overheated and "blown". The Nissan Dealer in St. George charged my purchased extended warranty for the replacement. Not the extended manufacture warranty it should have been covered under still. $4,600 total - $480 out of pocket.

June 6th, 2017. (1.5 years later, 7 months outside of warranty and 124,500 miles) Traveling to Grand Junction. Vehicle started mimicking similar issues as prior. Had to replace the cooling portion of the unit. They upgraded it to the "better" version (the external cooler) that would prevent the transmission from over heating. $1,000 total $160 out of pocket. (Thank goodness for my extended warranty AGAIN). July 7th, 2018. 1 month outside of warranty for the external cooler and 136,907 miles. Traveling to Twin Falls. Same issues start occurring. AGAIN. Took to the dealership on 7/9 where I was advised that my transmission had went into fail safe mode 111 times. Leading to need to replace the transmission once again due to the external cooler not doing its job once again.

I have contact Nissan Consumer Affairs, I opened a case which went to review. Subsequently being denied for "Goodwill Assistance" on 7/10 at 5:20 PM for assistance on another $5,000 repair due to defective manufacturing due to the vehicle being outside of the 60,000 mile manufacture warranty. I was very friendly offered the opportunity to purchase another vehicle from Nissan though. I THINK NOT! Nissan, it is time for you to own up to your defective vehicles and repair them at your cost since there are so many of these that are occurring with the same issue! I know that this probably isn't relevant anymore, but I just wanted to provide my experience(s) with Nissan vehicles. When I got out of the Navy in 1979 and landed my first job. I bought my first new vehicle which was a Datsun King Cab (Nissan was the parent company of Datsun back then). This truck was wonderful, and everything you could hope for with reliability, great gas mileage, comfort and durability! So, in 1985 when it came time to replace this truck (Datsun had already changed their name to Nissan by then) I thought well heck, I had such great luck with my Datsun so there was no need to even shop around. That was a big mistake! I was young and impulsive then. Keep in mind that this is about vehicle that I bought brand new back in 1985. So, I plunked down my 18K for a new 2 wheel drive Nissan King Cab.

The only option it had was air conditioning and that's it! It had no power steering and was difficult to drive at low speeds like in a parking lot. There was some black overspray under the hood that I can't imagine was supposed to be there since it looked like it didn't serve a purpose. The next things will astound you! When you drove the vehicle on the freeway at anything over 55 mph, you could not roll the windows completely up! That's right, there was a vacuum created where the side windows actually pulled in and away from the window tracks just enough to not allow for the them to not close all the way. This was solved by reducing your speed below 55 mph. (I had good old fashioned hand cranks).

Oh, it gets better. Since the front brake pads were metallic, the brakes had this loud metal on metal grinding sound that you could hear all the way down the block every time you approached a stop sign or light. People would actually look at you and stare! I went to the dealer about this and they said that since the pads were "metallic" that was normal and they just needed to break in. That sound never went away the whole year I owned the truck. Ok, next, The truck had several bolts missing here and there so I think it was a quality control issue at the factory. That didn't cause me any concern except that I thought what else was missing in areas that I couldn't see?

Ok next, The air conditioner and heater worked very well (for 18K, in 1985 dollars it better have) except when it rained outside. The defroster simply could not keep up with any and all the condensation on the inner windshield. Even if you had the fan at full speed for long periods of time and tried different settings, nada. You had this foggy haze that would not go away on the inside of the windshield. I actually had to keep a squeegee on my dashboard and every so often reach for it and squeegee my interior windshield while driving. Nissan could at least provided me with a squeegee, enough said. Did I mention I paid 18 thousand dollars back in 1985 for this brand new truck? The plastic grille was held on with some cheap plastic fasteners that after a few months gave out so the grille would always vibrate loose. I think that was about it.

I sold that truck private party for a loss for payoff. I don't know if Nissan's quality control, engineering, and manufacturing had improved since then, but I vowed that I would NEVER NEVER NEVER buy another Nissan EVER again! This will crack you up. A year later, Nissan sends me this survey to complete and return. After I ripped them a new one, I never heard back from them ever again! Did I mention that I paid $18,000 in 1985 dollars for this truck? LOL. Their advertising campaign back then was "Nissan, we are driven". What they didn't tell you was that they were driven to sell you an inferior overpriced vehicle. On a positive note, I think that all the Nissan engineers have long since retired and are laughing all the way to the bank unless of course, they purchased a Nissan.

It was the 3rd brand new Nissan in my household. I thought Nissan's were known for their high quality and dependability, but that's not really the case. I did some research and found out that there is a known issue with the CVT transmission in this year and model. So common in fact Nissan, rather than recall all vehicles with this known issue, Nissan decided to extend (double) the warranty (10 years or 120k miles).

This vehicle has less than 100k miles on it and it's 10+ years old. Two weeks ago the transmission failed. At 99k I am well within the 120k miles BUT, I took delivery in late '07 for this new '08 so I am being told by Nissan North America that I am outside the warranty by 5 months. Because of being a loyal customer excited for the new model year, I am now being penalized and told they cannot cover 100% of the cost of the new transmission. Really? Really! So be warned of getting excited about buying the new model year BEFORE the actual year. It might come back to haunt you later on. Had they actually recalled it, it would have shown up on my report each time I brought the car in for service and I wouldn't be dealing with this issue and having to pay anything for a new transmission. Disappointing to say the least for such a known/common issue.

Well after searching for about two hours I came across a Nissan page with a map update promising to be the latest and guaranteed to work on my vehicle. I placed that order. This was on a Friday morning. As I checked out and finalized the order I was redirected to none other than the main site for Nissan Nav updates that I had been searching for on the web for hours. Unfortunately, running my nav and vin showed that the order just placed was a three year old update.

After about 3 minutes I got a fast busy, then a long squeal and then sat on hold in silence for another 45 minutes till I gave up.

Now another email to customer service - their response was when it arrives call customer service - thanks but no thanks - I've filed a complaint with Paypal which I used to pay the first order. I have a 2006 Pathfinder and had always maintained my vehicle at the Nissan dealership, which is documented. I was driving 3 hours from home when check engine light came on. I continued to drive to the next available Nissan dealership where my vehicle, when acceleration became difficult and the vehicle, simply stopped and began smoking.

I contacted Nissan Consumer Complaint and was given a complaint claim number and thought something would be done... Nothing. The claim representative just told me he was sorry but they could not help me. His response was scripted. How can these people get away with putting people's lives in danger? I contacted the Manager of the service Department where my vehicle is currently located. He returned my car and indicated that the cause of my vehicle failing was due to the radiator, coolant fluids, and transmission failing. I plan on filing a lawsuit because this is insane for a dealership not to make a consumer aware of a major problem like this.

Had my car a year (Altima 2016 used) and it’s out of warranty. When purchasing the car I asked for an extended warranty and the finance manager declined me stating that I was not in a position to receive the extended warranty that I was lucky that I was even approved for the car. I had to beg for GAP and he made me pay for my GAP cash upfront $500. Also when I called my finance company to see if they had additional options they stated that those instruction about extended warranty was not true that they would have went through another company not them.

At that point I did not understand why the finance manager had me lie to the finance company about the type of car I was receiving if I would not be covered. Basically I was taken advantage of and it worked on their end because now I am screwed out of a car unless I come up with the funds to fix the issue. Nissan said it’s nothing they can do, "You have to buy a $3500 transmission." I do not know much about repair to cars but my car is calling for a sensor and I'm not sure why my sensors cannot be replaced vs the entire transmission!

Call Consumer Affairs and they had an attitude. Told me there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. I will be taking this to the next level. My voice will be heard and something will be done. I would have never spent my money with them knowing I would have to deal with such poor service and attitude! Seeing the number of negative reviews with no intended solutions on Nissan's behalf, I've decided to Never ever purchase a vehicle from Nissan again or any of their affiliated brands! And when asked his manager to call he never did. Humberto **.

Be careful buying from there. The cars have issue, they charge. They may want to charge you for their inspection they did before selling car, ask for that money back because the cars are taken not to Nissan if it is not a Nissan car, some to Jiffy Lube for oil change etc. The cars are not checked out properly and the only good person that helped was ERiC, the sales manager Humberto ** will not follow through. Be very careful. Buy at your own risk and ask questions on the wear and tear, get the car facts "beforehand". It is not always driven by one driver. They use cars on lot as loaner cars.

When I went to lease the 2017 Nissan Leaf the salesman made it sound like it was great. You would get 100 mi per charge and they would give you a card that for one year you could use at any EZ GO charging stations to get your 30 minute charge which should bring the charge to approx 100 miles. They neglect to tell you a few choice things like if you are freezing or too hot and turn on the air conditioning and/or heat you immediately loose approx 17 mi. Also, if you drive on the highway you are not regenerating energy and eating it at a fast pace. Other tidbits they left out are that contrary to what I was told the charging stations are everywhere and easy to find. NOT TRUE. THERE IS ONLY ONE, in all of Stockton. Many times I go to charge and there are waiting lines... Even from people who are not Nissan purchasers, but BMW or Chevy. So you have to wait for them to finish and then charge your car which takes approx 30 min...

My latest distress happened today when I drove across town to charge. I repeatedly put charge in and followed instructions... But it did not work. I called EZ GO and was told that they had known about it for two days... That there were issues involving higher up approval and they could do nothing. Again this is the ONLY one in Stockton. Finally I went to the manager of Nissan Lithia... Raymond ** who was rude and acted like he did not want to help. I explained my problem and he said that the Nissan Chasers were actually owned and service by Nissan Corp. I asked him what I was supposed to do and he said google it and left. Very unhelpful man. I called Corporate and found out that the dealerships are indeed the owners of these and that I had been given misinformation... Oh imagine that-- and that they did have full responsibility over the chargers.

I had also asked what I was supposed to do as I needed to travel and was afraid of running out of electricity. He said he didn't know and that I should google same. When I spoke to corporate they said that they would have recommended the roadside assistance program who will come out and tow you to the nearest working dealership and there would be NO charge. Any manager in his right mind would or should know this. Would I buy or lease a leaf again... Absolutely not and especially form Nissan Lithia. I have called Nissan Corp and reported same but have not received an answer. I am starting a class action lawsuit so if anyone wants to join me contact me at **. My attorney thinks we have a good case So if you were basically lied to to purchase this please contact the me at **.

I am the unlucky customer of Nissan; my 2013 Nissan Sentra has a transmission problem without any previous symptom. My wife was driving to California when happen and need to bring the car to the dealership located at Tracy CA. The only dealer in town! They took several weeks to have my car ready and as a familiar person to the automotive industry. I know that there are design issues and manufacturing errors. I am an open minded person and understand that errors happen. I patiently wait for the repair of the car and pay for the additional travel to pickup my car. I am located at AZ. After that I let my son attending Tulsa University to take the car with him. He noticed a noise under the car and with the months the noise go worse.

I instructed my son to take the car to the dealer at Tulsa; they completed the diagnostic and determine an error made during the replacement of the transmission where a bolt was left loose or too tight ended to stripping or damaging the bolt threads. They also recognized an extended warranty for additional 12K miles and the whole repair will cost nothing to me. Well too good to be true! After two weeks "waiting for the parts"; the dealer at Tulsa notified me that the dealer at CA didn't accepted the claim! They said that there is nothing they can do and I should contact and deal with the dealer at CA directly. The dealership at Tulsa denied to honor the warranty!

Well, I contacted Nissan directly and they reported the receipt of my complaint; within the following two day they "completed" their investigation. It is an issue that needs to be solved at the dealership and it is nothing that they can do! I got a copy of the procedures created by NISSAN to replace the transmission and the additional procedure to remove the parts where the bolt in question is located. It is more than clear that the last person to touch that bolt was the Nissan technician during the transmission requirement. Well after all the evidence still Nissan denied any support or ruled to make their representatives responsible for their mistakes. I am writing this review to help some other potential customers to became victims of their poor quality of products and services.

I asked for a writing report from their "investigation" and it was denied; they do not want to provide anything in writing. Too much to ask? Nope! It is a normal covering for a crooked organization! Do not repeat my mistake; do not buy any Nissan products! I am not complaining for the poor quality. It is for the silly expectation of Nissan that the dealership are independent of their organization. That I cannot have a service across the whole USA but I need to deal with independent dealers, that they are trying to push me to go to CA and fight with an independent organization whom by the way hold a big SIGN OUTSIDE SAYING "AUTHORIZED NISSAN DEALERSHIP" with their big logo there! NEVER NISSAN AGAIN!

Evolving Technology Poor Quality Systems - Purchased a 2017 Nissan Rogue S, the 5th Nissan in our family in the past decade. While Nissan has stepped up their game in designing overall more luxurious interiors, they are now using lackluster and lower end equipment for some important features. The 2017 Rogue S back up camera lacks clarity, is murky and grainy in even moderate light settings. And in some parking lot situations, all you get is a large ball of light reflection. Nissan sent a technician out from their Plant in TN, but to our avail, all the 2017 models not use the same poor quality cameras. As the owner of model years 2011 to current I have to say this my first negative review of Nissan. I have 4 other Nissans with beautiful backup cameras in any lighting condition.

If Nissan is happy with this quality reduction, we will no longer support Nissan. Time to change . While no one should rely on a backup camera, it should be as functional as one found on a 2011 or older. Technology should improve not decline with age. If they do not care about this one feature, what else might be lacking on these cars. I don't think this is a company that deserves consideration, lackluster response, and lackluster technology.

It hit 75 degrees today in California and I’m again reminded why I will never buy another Nissan. My AC doesn’t work in my 2014 Nissan Rogue bought new in March 2014 at Dublin Nissan. It hasn’t fully worked since July 2015 when it inexplicably went out in the middle of a road trip in 101 degree weather. My two passengers and I tried to bear it for an hour, but ended up having to pull over for 3 hours to wait til dark to drive home the remaining 2.5 hours. I took the car to Nissan Capitol Expressway two days later where they spent an entire day (and tank of gas) trying to figure out the issue only to come away with no solution. It only seemed to be replicable in 80 degree or above weather and after driving for more than 30 minutes on highways.

I knuckled down and made it through the summer, the car had about 18,000 miles at that point and was still in warranty. December 2015 I took the car back to Capitol Nissan for 25k maintenance and had them examine the AC unit again. Another full day of “work” and no solution. The AC continued to work intermittently, I kept up with routine maintenance and always mentioned the AC issues when I was in for service and still under warranty, always at Capitol Nissan. By late spring 2017 the AC had stopped working altogether, no cool air came out at all and the weather was only heating up. In June 2017 I took it to Nissan with 37k miles on it (Nissan warranty stops at 36,000 miles) and had Capitol Nissan spend another whole day working on it.

They immediately agreed it wasn’t a functioning unit and spent the whole day with it, by end of day finding a “solution.” This solution was to drain the freon from the system and re-fill, this seemed to solve the problem. I asked the associate why that hadn’t been done before to solve the issue and he said he didn’t know. I then asked how he knew it was fixed and he said he couldn’t guarantee it and re-read me the description of work done like I was a kindergartener who just didn’t understand. He then only charged me for the new AC fluids and “helped” me with the labor cost by charging me $200. I drove away angry and rightfully so as the AC unit stopped working two days later. I called the associate at Capitol Nissan to let them know and never heard back.

I then opened a case with Nissan Corporate to have the car declared a lemon as the AC unit will clearly never work. In that call I told them I truly thought this was a one-off case and that until then I had actually liked everything else about my Rogue. I told the representative that if Nissan awarded me the new car I was actually planning on upgrading to the Nissan Murano and would finance that upgrade through them.

Nissan Corporate kept my case open for approximately 18 hours only to dismiss it because the car was out of warranty, they offered me one monthly payment ($350) for my troubles. I did not accept this money as it didn’t even begin to cover the amount of time I had spent away from work and the money I had spent fixing this issue. The way Nissan has treated me has made it abundantly clear I will never buy another Nissan and as soon as I am financially able I will be getting rid of this junk Rogue and buying a Toyota.

We purchased our family dream car and recently noticed an issue. Online I read the likeliness of the CVT transmission being the issue that many customers are experiencing so we took it to our local dealer expecting the recall. The recall covers several years worth of Nissan car makes and models, but did not include ours. At 88,000 miles we were told the entire transmission needed to be replaced, with a cooler for the transmission too. The grand total quote of nearly $5500. We only owe $4000 on the car. A hard working family of 4 now has a family dream car that they cannot afford to fix. I read online calling consumer affairs would be a joke, it was. I called and waited the 24 hours for Nissan Consumer Affairs to tell me that there was nothing they could do.

What this customer heard, my family hears, what everyone I know will hear is that Nissan does not stand by their cars. Nissan does not care about my family. Only 88,000 miles and we have a dead car, along with a "sorry there's nothing we can do". Obviously there is a problem with the CVT transmission that needs to extend to the 2011 models too, Nissan. Very disappointed.

Not only was I pleased with my 15, but I spent 2 years as a Nissan employee, and I retain the Nissan Visa card. I would say I'm a pretty good customer and supporter. In 6 months and 7k (now 8k) miles, my Rogue has had the radio/navigation system fully replaced! My Rogue has also been TOWED into the dealership's service department! I work nights. It was Christmas Eve. The car never made it to work.

Of course, 3 days later after the holiday, the Rogue worked fine and the mechanics could not duplicate the issue. A diagnostic test showed a possible air flow problem... which I read about in another review... but they really have no idea. I am a single mom, on a check-check basis, and one reason I lease is to avoid maintenance! I cry all the time in my car. I am frustrated. Every time I start the Rogue I wonder what will happen next. I have lost confidence in this vehicle. I filed a claim with Consumer Affairs. I have received 2 emails from the gal stating she has tried to reach me multiple times by phone but I have no missed calls, voicemails, nothing, and the number(s) is saved in my phone. I have responded to these emails but then have not heard back from "her".

In the last week, I have called "her" DIRECT line 5x leaving my contact phone number 2x every message. I have gotten voicemail each time. Since December 26, 2017 I have called Nissan Consumer Affairs 8x. I should not have to be dealing with this regarding a vehicle purchased brand new not 7 months ago. Certain staff members at the dealership have been as helpful as they possibly can be but they have limitations which I understand. At least they're on my side. Nissan seems to think this entire issue is a game. It's not. I live in Columbus, Ohio. We do not have major public transport opportunities. I cannot afford a chauffeur, I cannot afford taxi cabs or Uber. Nissan needs to step up.

The lack of concern regarding the safety issues that I am having with my 2013 Nissan Altima (i.e., blind spot warning system, voice activation to use phone, updates and use of navigation system) and the disrespectful and belligerent way that I have felt that Nissan's consumer affairs department has acted toward me will cause me to never want to purchase another Nissan.

I upgraded from a 2001 Maxima to a new 2013 Altima for its safety features. Many of those safety features have not worked properly since the day I took delivery of the car. I have told my local dealership about issues that I am having when I have brought the car to them for regular oil changes. It appears that they have failed to document my issues. I am waiting for the dealership where I purchased the car/have it regularly serviced, to do something about my issues. Hopefully, the dealership can restore my trust in Nissan and resolve the safety issues with my car.

I write this review so hopefully Nissan consumer affairs department learns from my experience. I also want to advise others to be certain to tell your Nissan service department about EVERY issue you are having with your car no matter how insignificant it may seem. Plus, be certain that the service department has documented every issue and that YOU SEE IT IN WRITING. I conclude by saying, I am not certain that Nissan's consumer affairs department is there to help you as a consumer.
