Montway Auto Transport Reviews

From the beginning when I called Montway, everything was great. I set up the shipment for my vehicle, and everything went well with that. However, two weeks went by and there was no follow-up. I wasn't reaching out to them, and they weren't not responding, then a few days before the shipment, I finally heard something from them. Up until that point, I didn't know who my driver would be and how it would be shipped. Other than that, everything was good.

Tried to send my car via Montway, multiple truckers did not show up when they were supposed to and the process was continually delayed several times past the point I could have my car shipped and accepted at the destination. Every time Montway just kept stringing me along saying they would find someone else. Throughout the process their communication was very poor, they said they would call me back, but didn't and I had to call them back and spent a long time waiting on hold. After more than 5 days they told me that the latest truck driver they dispatched me to had to be cancelled by them because he was demanding more money. I would recommend avoiding Montway. They don't seem to be able to provide the service they are selling.

Montway was very good, and I have absolutely no complaints. The vehicle was filthy, but otherwise, it was fine.

The individual who picked up the car was highly competent and professional, as well as obviously experienced. He was worried about the trees in my neighborhood and did not want to injure any of them. He got the car, transported it appropriately, and communicated with my daughter. He was able to get to California even though we had a time differential of one or two days. I would give him a 5 star rating. Everything worked exceedingly smooth, and the service was excellent. I'm not driving 4000 miles, so it was worth it.

Our experience was smooth. Everything was described or laid out in one way or another. The transport was 1,300 miles, and it took about three working days. Overall, it was easy and reasonable for us. Glad to get it done.

My interactions with the rep were clear and very professional. Everything was handled well. I did the pickup, then somebody else handled delivery for me. Communication was great, especially because in both cases, they couldn't pick me up on the street where I live, so we had to arrange a location. They were very simple. Also, the pickup and the delivery, the driver did whatever he possibly could to get as close to the location, and I appreciated that. There was not a lot of communication with the driver, but it was enough. I got the call the morning of the delivery and the morning of the pickup and then, finally, when he was at the pickup or delivery spot. Overall, it was a good experience.

They were great. They were way ahead of the game. They said, "We'll get it there in less than a week." I didn't want them to pick it up for a few days but they said, "We're gonna come and pick it up now." I went, "Wow." I had to run out and buy a battery for the car. It was all done. They found somebody going that way, so they said, "Can you do it now?" I said, "Sure, go ahead. We'll make it work."

I used Montway to send a Mercedes to Arizona for my daughter. They were kind of the best priced, and they could do it at the time we wanted. So, it worked out. Their customer service was good. The driver pulled to the end of my street. I drove down there, they put it on, and that was it. It was really easy. The final cost was $100 more, but it was fine.

The customer service rep was aggressive with phone calls before I booked the transport but it worked out okay. And the quote was very accurate.

The delivery was a little late, but it was okay. The car made it fine and the transport met the needs. Also, the driver was good and the cost was competitive.

The transport was smooth and quick. It took around three to four days and I would be willing to refer Montway if anyone needs their service.

Setting up the service with Montway was easy and the whole transport from Texas to California took three days. The driver called and let me know when he was going to be there and when he was dropping off the vehicle. It arrived in good condition and overall, Montway was great.

I found Montway online in some articles and the reviews were good. I dropped my vehicle off and the drivers put it on the truck. I opted for an open-truck transport. I was texted and told that if I chose to pay part in cash, I would get a discount. That was an online thing that I found as well and I opted for that. Once the vehicle was transported here, I paid the remaining balance through Venmo. I used Montway's online chat a couple of times and they were responsive. It was, overall, a very smooth experience.

Our car was transported from Tennessee to Washington D.C. and that took overnight. The service was easy to book. The car was picked up in the timeframe Montway said and delivered within the timeframe as well. It was easy to meet the driver. There was enough communication leading up to the pickup and multiple times with the driver as far as location and estimated time to arrive. Once he dropped off the car, he confirmed that through a text. I'll definitely use Montway again and I recommend it too. Things went as smoothly as I could expect.

The repair shop that works on the car recommended Montway as they've had a good experience with them. I went with them and my experience was a little confusing at times. I called their nationwide number and I got a different person a couple of times. They got the data in the computer and they looked at the deal and it was good. But it might have been better to be able to talk to the same person all the time.

We are in the process of transitioning down to Florida from Minnesota. We have two cars and one we transported down through Montway so that when I come down here to do stuff, I would have a car instead of having to rent one. One consideration for Montway was the cost and that they also allowed us to put stuff into the vehicle to be transported. It was another $75 and I could put an additional 100 pounds in. I could put 200 pounds in the car. It was nice that I could ship some things down in the vehicle at the same time.

Them getting the vehicle and dropping it off was right off smack on schedule. The driver, Adrian, was amazing. He helped us out with where we could meet him. He made it easy for us to meet somewhere close to our house but not come into the neighborhood. He is the best. It took him a couple of days to move it from Tucson, Arizona to Portland, Oregon.

It was a good experience talking with their representative. The vehicle got here in good condition. I recommend Montway.

Once I booked the move, I got the contact information of the driver, Vlad. He's super reachable and had very good communication. I live downtown and he couldn't deliver to my door so he drove to a place that's very close where could park his truck and deliver my sports car to me. It was very convenient. The process was very easy and I will definitely use Montway again if I'm trying to buy a car upstate.

Great customer service, flexible, on-time, great price and best of all your car is safely transported! Though I had to change the type transport at the last moment they quickly were able to accommodate! From now I’ll be choosing Montway if I have to transport my car again!

I chose Montway because it was rated so high on this website. They were a full day late picking up the car. It's now Monday and the car was promised to be delivered Friday (3 days ago). I've called Montway repeatedly for an update. They keep calling the car transport company (Vehicle Transport, Inc.) and no one can reach anyone. Still - to this moment - no one knows where the car is or when it will be delivered. Absolutely horrible service; especially for the price. THINK TWICE BEFORE USING THEM.

Setting up the transport was simple. I called the phone number on the quote and a nice young gentleman called. But he sounded like he was from the Philippines. Other than that, he had perfect English and was very easy to understand. He took all the information down. I got confirmation in an email and a call saying that the movers would be there the following day. I also got a call the next morning saying they would be there. It was a breeze. The driver kept us informed as they came across the country. One morning, he called and said, “I'm here,” and he was here. The car was dirty but it was to be expected as they were on the road for six days. If I had asked for it to be transferred inside a cargo type of vehicle, that's one thing, but I just asked for it to go in an open trailer. So, it was fine.

They picked the car up in California and delivered it to New York. It was very easy. There was no damage to the car when it was transported. The final price was exactly what it was supposed to be. There was no monkey business. If I needed another car transported, I will use them in a heartbeat.

The driver was really good. He gave me his phone number and I could call him any time. He called me when he got here 'cause I was in California all the time. My son was gonna pick it up and he called my son. Montway did what they said they'd do. The driver made all the difference with his communication and the fact that he gave me his phone number.

The driver picked up the vehicle in Santa Rosa, California and the delivery to Fort Worth, Texas took about three days. Montway's reps were good and I was really happy with them. The price was reasonable with what runs everywhere else and I would recommend them.

Transporting my car from Milwaukee to Los Angeles was very easy. It was picked up early on a Wednesday night and was dropped off that following Monday, which was a day early. It worked out well because I got to my destination the day after the car was there, so I was ready to go. The communication was great and the driver had given me a phone number that I could call periodically to make sure that everything was all right. So, I called them on Thursday to make sure that everything was going into place, then I reached out on Sunday to make sure that the drop off was at this location at this time. Then, on the day of delivery, he let me know that he was about an hour out. It was a really good experience and in the event that I need to ship a car again, I would use Montway.

Everything was straightforward when I called Montway’s customer service. I got the estimate on the internet and when I called them up, the price didn't change. The guys came to pick up the truck at the predesignated time and they were all within that and there were no problems there. The vehicle arrived safely.

Montway was very accommodating. Even when the car decided not to start a couple of days before they were supposed to pick it up, they were able to put everything on hold until we got the car back up and running again, which was a month later. We were then able to get it transported. So, everything worked out well. A day or two before the driver got to the destination, he gave me a call to let me know what day they were expecting to be there. On the day of, they contacted me so that I can contact my daughter to let her know that the car was gonna be there at whatever specific time and then, when they got there. The delivery was great.

Where I was living in in Maui, I didn't have the reception to download things or the knowledge to take a picture of my car stuff and then get it out to Montway. So, I had a huge hassle having somebody else do it. Then, those guys over there didn't understand what was going on and everything turned confusing. Also, there were some shady things that I felt weird about the drop-off site for the van where they wanted $50 in cash and gave me no receipt to drop my van off. But I've worked it all out and I got my car. Montway's price was right and I'm happy.

The car was really filthy when it got here and we had to have it detailed. Also, the driver's English wasn't that great and he was having difficulty communicating with me. There were two cars and I had to drive one to the garage because he couldn't make it in the complex. Then I went back for the second and he wasn't there, he had taken off with the car. He was looking for me, driving it around, so he couldn't find the address. That was a little messed up, but it wasn't horrible. It could have been worse. Other than that, the quote that Montway provided was reasonable and their customer service was good. They also got the cars here faster than they said they would.

Our experience with Montway was excellent all around. They're reliable and the way they transported the vehicle was secured. The driver called me when he picked it up and he called me when he was getting ready to drop it off.

I transported a car for about 200 miles through Montway and it took about a week. They kept me informed and sent me an email on dates of pickup. They changed it three times but that was understandable and it was all within days. The driver was really good and very knowledgeable. They were in contact with my sister who had the car on her property, had all that set up, and then contacted me early enough. There was a cracked light on the back that was already cracked. But the driver was worried that with the wind that the actual cover would get blown off. So, he had taken the time to secure it down just in case. That was really helpful of him.

My experience with Montway was absolutely fantastic. We were so happy when we first talked to the people and until it got dropped off in Vancouver, Washington. It also got there early. The driver contacted us when he was leaving Raleigh. We met him right by the interstate by our house because there was a flea market there. For him to get down this way, it would have been harder. So we just drove the car up towards that, which was not even half a mile and he loaded it on the truck. He kept in touch with my son the whole way out there. It worked out wonderfully.

They were great. I had changed the address that was associated with my card and I wasn't sure if it had gone through yet. But the rep helped me figure it out. The driver also texted me every step of the way, way ahead of time, days before when they would be arriving and even the day of. I was having my dad be the one to drop it off. He even was communicating with him on where exactly to find him to leave the car. He was wonderful.

Montway did exactly what they said they were going to do within the time they said they were going to do it. The transport was from San Francisco to Portsmouth, New Hampshire and it took probably six days from when the vehicle was picked up to when it was dropped off. The driver was quick to respond to my messages when he wasn't driving. So, it was nice. Montway ended up giving me a discount. As the car was in transport, they notified me of that and then they refunded after the car got dropped off. So, I was quite happy with that too. If I had to ship a car again, that's the first place I would call. They had competitive pricing and did a good job.

It took a couple of days for them to find a driver and get them over there. But once they picked up the car, it arrived in two days. It was really quick. The driver called me when he got there when I asked him to let me know earlier. He ended up waiting for me to arrive. I felt bad that he had to wait, but I had let him know to give me an hour's heads-up because I had the car dropped off at my mother's home. But other than that, it was great.

I can't say enough about the very excellent experience I had with Montway, which transported my car from NC to VT. Their instructions were crystal clear, communication throughout the process outstanding, everything accomplished on time. I would certainly recommend this very professional company to anyone needing to move a vehicle.

Excellent experience. Respected the dates they quoted. Expense was also reasonable due to the high cost of fuel nowadays. My driver was very reliable. I totally recommend Montway auto transport. My car was in perfect shape when I got it...They could not deliver it to my home (small street) but the location I had to go to was very close by.

I liked the price of Montway. Everyone was also very helpful. Our experience was very smooth. The driver called to give me updates. During pick-up, he provided pictures. I had someone else signing for me for the pick-up, so he made sure that he kept me in the loop. He did really well with the delivery too. At the last minute, we had to change the carrier. Montway gave me another company and we agreed on them. At least they were efficient and very well versed.

Maybe they could assign the client to a team the first time but then, they need to assign a rep to that client. Also, they scratched the custom wheels of my SUV. They gave me the pier number and I drove down there.

The driver called me, and I met him. We walked the vehicles and checked everything and unloaded them. I paid him, and he left. It was pretty simple. He was good. I liked him. He was one of Montway's best.

But, that was the only situation that I thought was a little more complicated. I thought it would be a little simpler as I could pay them online. But I actually needed to provide them with a cashier's check, which I wasn’t expecting. But they were significantly cheaper than other companies.

The reps were alright and the driver was great. They have a good setup where upon contract, they gave me status updates on how the contract was sent to a transport company and then time was set up. They did a really good job of keeping me updated on where the vehicle was. Everything was fine during delivery.

There was a waiver that I had to sign as well. Pretty much how long and asking about the business because I've never heard of Montway. The rep let us know the insight of how they operate as their business and recruits. I would definitely recommend this company.

I moved from Boston to Texas. I called Montway and they managed to pick up the vehicle and bring it to Texas. When we were texting the driver, he was responding for the updates. Everything was perfect and as planned.

The price of Montway was good. Setting up the transport took a couple of phone calls because of availability. But once I finally got the communication with the actual person to set up the transport, they set everything up for me. I got a little nervous because I had to have an absolute guaranteed pick-up. But they assured me that the pick-up was absolutely 100% guaranteed. The pick-up point was Schenectady, New York, and the drop-off was Savannah, Georgia. They picked up the vehicle around 3 PM on a Thursday, and they delivered it at 9 AM on a Saturday.

The Montway reps were very helpful and answered all my questions. The driver was also wonderful, very professional, courteous and nice. Took time to answer my questions, did an inspection of the car and pointed out some scratches on the side of the car. I also received the messages on the way. The car was in perfect condition when it was delivered. He gave me my receipt after payment. If I ever have to have a car transported again, I know where to go. It was a great experience.

I'm happy with Montway. They did a great job. When I talked to them and arranged to use Montway, that was fine. But then they sublet it to a Russian guy. When I phoned him, he didn't understand what I was saying. He didn't speak English very well and that was a concern for me. But as it turned out, I arranged for him to pick up the car at a storage place in Blaine, Washington. I bought the car in Canada. The fellow I bought it from drove it across the border to the storage place and that was where he picked it up. I received it two days later. Everything was fine.

With Montway, the pickup and drop-off were quick and easy. The final cost was more than what I wanted to spend, but at the same time, I didn't really have too many options. Communication with the driver was quick and easy. They contacted me a few days prior to the day of pickup and kept me updated with what was going on.

The Montway agent I worked with was great and responsive. However, it was a month ahead of time that we made the arrangements but we didn't hear anything for three weeks. So, I started getting nervous. I had to call and they called back and said, “Oh, yes, we'll be in touch with you as soon as it's assigned to someone, and they can tell you when they're coming.” That part was a little bit anxiety-producing. But the person I spoke to said, “Definitely, it’s gonna be assigned to someone. Don’t worry, the car will be there in time.” And it worked out great. They were very nice. They called when they were 24 hours away and then they kept in touch with my son.

Overall, working with Montway was a good experience. The driver called me several times about arrival. So, the communication was good.

The man who picked up the car and delivered the car was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely use them again.

Everything went smoothly setting everything up with Montway and everything was perfect during the delivery. The guy who I dealt with at the time was very kind and delivered the vehicle on time. So, everything was okay. I appreciate the service.

The process with Montway was very simple. It was, “Here’s where we're going to pick up, meet us here.” Then we met him there, he did a quick inspection of the car, and that was it. It was super quick and easy. He met exactly where we told him to meet. It was also affordable.

I use Montway a lot. I like that they're insured. I had a claim once and it was really easy and simple to make the claim. They're a great corporate-run company and I'm not a fan of corporate. I like private. But I like them for what I need and how they do it and how they charge and also, 90% of the drivers are good. Once in a while, you'll have a bad one. But everything's not perfect.

We were happy with our communication with the driver who called us pretty far in advance to let us know what his schedule look like. It would have been nice to have known earlier from not the driver, but Montway more exactly what the schedule is. But I understand it's probably difficult. Then we were in telephone communication from the time he picked up the car to when we got it back in California. Once we figured out what his phone number was and who was calling, we weren't surprised to get reports on where he was, or when he was expected to show up. Our experience was good. We would recommend Montway.

The reps were great. They communicated via text and phone calls. They delivered the car before the scheduled time to arrive. They beat me here. We transport cars a lot and we'd definitely get Montway again when we relocate. I'm very satisfied.

The delivery was perfect but I had to call Montway a few times because there was a little trouble with scheduling. They had to wait three days before the pickup and I never had any confirmation until the day directly before. But they worked with me to resolve the issue and they were very pleasant to work with. Everything was fine with our experience with Montway. They came at 10:30 at night. The guys were very cordial and considerate. It was quick. It was from Wichita, Kansas to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I spoke to the car carriers on a Wednesday. My sister got the car Friday night. We got an email that they were passing through Indianapolis and they would be there in four hours. They were a half hour late, but not a big deal. I couldn't be any happier. It was very smooth.

I had to do the move at the last minute and the expectations were laid out clearly, exactly how it works. I would secure the deal and Montway would dispatch it. And as soon as they find a driver, they would notify me when the vehicle was gonna get picked up. It all made perfect sense. The driver dropped my car off half a day ahead of schedule so it was absolutely perfect.

Montway was excellent. We had a little bit of an issue. They have a huge truck, so we had to find a location where we could meet halfway in the middle. But that was to be expected. Definitely a 5-star company. Kept me informed and kept calling me to let me know where he was. Called me when he was at the other end. It was outstanding. I also like the courteousness of the person that I initially spoke with. The driver was very proactive. He called when he was an hour out, which I didn't expect because I was expecting it to be two days later. So there was some communication stuff that didn't get sent to me. But I called them and there was an on-call person and he took care of it. He sent me the paperwork through email and it was done really quickly. I was really impressed. It got worked out. The driver gave me his cellphone number and I gave that to my sister. There were regular updates to my sister about when the car would be delivered.

The original quote and final cost stayed the same, which was 1,400 cash. For my first time shipping a car, it was incredibly smooth. I would use Montway again.

Everything worked according to the way they said it would and the cars were delivered with no issues. We used a different mover for our stuff and that was a nightmare. So compared to that, the vehicle transport was very easy and professional. Montway's cost was a little higher than others but because of the good reviews online, I went with them. They were professional, reliable and a service for the money.

So, it was two days from Florida to Tennessee. They contacted us to let us know that they were on the way, and then we agreed upon a location. Brian was on top of everything. It was very systemized, because I had two guys I was dealing with. I wasn't sure how it would work. Apparently, the order comes in. One guy picks it up. But it's still there. And if there isn't a response, someone else will respond to me. So, I got two people trying to get me to transport my car. I stuck with the first person that I contacted, which is good because they didn't drop the ball.

Montway was on time. They took my car to my parent’s house. My parents told me that everything went pretty smoothly. They moved the car from Pennsylvania to El Paso, and I was pretty surprised at how quickly it came in. It was not even a week. The driver called me various times. I was out of town. They called me and my Mom. It was a Saturday when they delivered it, and I thought they were calling for some other reason, but they were calling because they wanted to know if we would be there when they deliver the car. Montway did a really good job. I liked how my car was filled with a lot of my stuff, and that was not really a problem.

I was very pleased. I was able to text with my questions, and they got back to me in a timely fashion. They tried and change the drop-off time to suit them, but I had to say, “Uh, uh, uh, These people have jobs, and you'll drop it off at the agreed time. I'm sorry if that's not convenient for the driver, but I'm the customer, and I paid a lot of money.” Still, I would recommend Montway.

Each of the three times I used them, they were quicker than they said they would be, and they were good about letting me know when they were going to be there. I'm a car collector, and I've been moving my cars with Montway. They got the process fined tuned that’s why I go with them. It worked great setting it up. However, there’s a lack of communication between the driver and the customer on the receiving end. They showed up unannounced. I’m an hour away from where my cars are so I had to stop what I was doing and go over there.

The transport was quick, and everything went well. I was also pleased with the feedback I got from the driver. Montway was excellent, and I already gave my friend in Florida the company name. They are going to use it, too.

The whole process from start to finish was smooth and easy. The steps required were simple and straightforward and the representative that assisted us was thorough. When the gentleman came to pick up our vehicle he arrived as expected and thoroughly explained the process and reviewed the vehicle prior to transporting. We were notified that the vehicle had arrived promptly and our family member that received the vehicle was also pleased with the process. No hiccups whatsoever.

The transport from Austin, Texas to Honolulu took a week and a half, and it was seamless. The communication was great, and I really enjoyed using Montway. It was the only one where they picked the car up at my house. Everybody else, I had to take it somewhere. I was out of the country when the driver picked up the car, and that was the best thing, ‘cause I didn't even have to do anything. I put a key somewhere for the driver to find. I used Montway for moving to Washington State, but we had to move back to Georgia in about a month, so we used them on both ways. The driver who transferred my car was good, both ways, but in the middle, when we were coming back from Washington State to Georgia, there was an initial driver and he was horrible. He never returned and he lied to me. Montway switched the driver, then it turned out to be great service.

Driver scratched both exhausts driving up the ramp onto the truck, pointed it out and he did nothing and said nothing, other than that car arrived in one piece. There was another guy standing next to me and saw him scrape exhaust as well.
