My fiance and I bought a 2016 Dodge Journey and we love it! After driving it close to a month it wouldn't start. I bought key fob coin cell batteries and a new car battery and still will not start and hopefully it's nothing major. It drives like a brand new vehicle! We love it.

Curtis and Cody are the absolute best! I purchased a vehicle - a Ford Taurus in February and as with any used vehicle, there's always that chance you may experience issues. I contacted Curtis, the sales manage and explained what was going on with my vehicle. Curtis had the service manager Cody reach out to me, I had my vehicle towed back to Byrider and without hesitation, Cody made all the necessary repairs and in less than a week, he had me back on the road! Yes, Cody is that guy when it comes to an experienced mechanic and if you are in need of a dependable vechicle, don't wait just call Curtis and watch him work his magic and get you in a car!!!! This place is an absolute financial trap preying on people who are desperate for transportation. I bought a car from them because my credit was in the tank, and they treated me like a criminal from day one. Within 48 hours of driving off the lot, the check engine light came on, the transmission started slipping violently on the highway, and the front end had a terrifying wobble. When I brought it back to their "service department," they gave me the complete runaround, cleared the engine codes without actually fixing anything, and claimed it was "normal wear and tear" for a car they just sold me. They refused to honor their own limited warranty, dodging my calls for weeks while I had to miss work and pay out of pocket just to get to my job.

The staff at Byrider in Greenville SC, have to be the most rudest, nasty people I have ever dealt with in my life. You tell them you will make a payment in two days when you're disability check hits and before you can call them they are strapping your car on the truck. Called and told them my wife is going to make payment as soon as I hang up and all I get was I will see what we can do and hangs up.

Do not do business with this company. They completely blow you off and refuse to respond once they have your money. I have repeatedly reached out to get my issues resolved, but they completely ignore all of my messages and calls. Because of their deceptive practices, I have now escalated this by filing formal complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Attorney General. Buyers beware—if you have a problem after driving off the lot, you are on your own. They limit your choice of vehicle and take advantage of desperation with their predatory sales practices. BEWARE.

I have had my car a year and 2 months. I haven't been late a single time. I DO NOT DO AUTO PAY. THEY put me on auto pay and refused to give me 1 day to make a payment. THEY took the money out of my account without my authorization.

I bought a 2012 Subaru Outback back in January, first of all they didn't gave my any real paperwork except the "receipt" and payment schedule, not to mention that i'm paying $512.00 a month for a car that is almost 15 yrs. old, when the month of May came, I tried to test the air conditioner, NO AIR but hot air, I tried to put refrigerant thinking that that could be the issue and would be done with it, when i tried, I got smoke coming from the compressor...so much that I thought the engine was going to explode!!!, I called the dealership, that they tried to downplayed saying that back in January, before they gave me the keys they test everything including the A/C, and everything was "fine"....

Scammers. Let’s cut a long story short - They don’t care about the customers. They sell lemons in a lemon law state. They are “fixing” cars with faulty parts. SCAMMMERS. DO NOT BUY FROM BYRIDER. I AM OUT 17 THOUSAND DOLLARS AND A VEHICLE!

I bought a SUV from them and three months later I am having problems. I take it in to their mechanic and they said that I needed a tuneup and my SUV was ok. Then, a week later the same issue came back. I took it to my mechanic and they told me I needed to take it to the dealership because it's electrical problem.. When I call J.D. Byrider back to tell the mechanic they just gave me the runaround.

Absolutely under no circumstance go to JD Byrider. They are absolutely insane. Do not care about their customers or they only want money and they want it now. They are the worst company for customer service. The worst company for anything that has to do with a customer. They do not care about who you are. They do not care about your circumstances. They want money and they want it now. They will repo your car for being one day late regardless of your circumstance. Their finance company they have inside their car lot is a joke. We were four dollars still owing on a down payment that they scanned us out of and they wanted to repel the car. Do not go there, beware.

Worst place ever. Would not even perform an oil change because they knew they left issues unfixed and my car was still under warranty. Worst experience I’ve ever had purchasing ANYTHING. I have only left one other review in my life, I’m 45 years old.

I got a 2013 Chevy Equinox a couple of years ago. Not long after I drove it off the lot, the check engine light came on. I read the code and it was the Catholic Converter. 😂 Then I discovered the remote door locks wouldn't work. They wouldn't cover the work and the tech told me the problem was the LED bulb ls I put in. GTFOH

They are fast at setting up payments. But they charge too much for these old vehicles. Then I've paid early every two weeks even when my payments were 400 every two weeks. Then off to regular payments and been early and cuss of Easter Sunday I wanted a 6 day extension and told me to come and park my vehicle. There mean and out to get you once you sign your life away. Tony is your guy! When you go there. He makes the process very easy and he is a funny guy, he keeps you entertained. He's very helpful. He makes the process about you. He answered all of my questions and if he does not know the answer he will make sure to get it for you. I was very happy with the car choice. Thank you Tony.

Absolutely and completely garbage. They said, "Yeah, your car is good, nothing wrong with it." Not even had it 3 days before, there is a fuel leak which they refuse to fix even though it's under warranty and refuse to even make it right. Save your money, go somewhere else. This place is garbage.

I've tried to get finance but $1,640 per month income wasn't enough and $1,500 down payment not enough. It has to be $2,000 down or more, so you wanna know what I did, I let those cars seat there, I guess money is flying everywhere.

Listen to me, I personally knew the person who started J.D. Byrider many years ago. What it was then and what is now Is a big joke. I have applied for many positions at this company, have years of experience and for a company to deny me employment is sad. I know if the person who started this company was still alive, all I would have to do is give them a ring and they would have hired me in a heartbeat.

Worst dealer ever, wife bought an 08 Ford Fusion and it was junk, wouldn't start in winter, and they wouldn't come get it to find the problem, body was patched up with aluminum tape and painted over, front suspension was so far out of alignment it wore tires out after 4000 miles, had to take it to local ford dealer cost me $800.00 for an all wheel alignment, oil sending unit was bad, had low oil pressure, avoid this dealer if at all possible.

The Davenport Iowa service manager is a bully and disrespectful. She talks to employees like they are less that. No respect whatsoever. In front of customers. They don’t replace parts, they ghetto rig them up by drilling holes in the broken parts to “fix” it. Place is a joke and the dyke service manager Chris needs to learn how to communicate professionally The fact a bully is running that place says it all.

Thieves that after they see you are paying try to play dumb as if you are unaware of payments being taken out of account. Don’t trust the friendly act.

Okay, prepare yourselves...All this awesome stuff you've heard about JD Byrider....Lies, all lies! Not only did it take 5 1/2 hours to purchase a vehicle through these guys, but they pushed a vehicle on me that I didn't want. "To get the one I wanted it would have been $500 more down." Then, when I did drive off the lot, all this awesome customer service that you've probably heard about turned into rudeness and disrespect. They lied and told me I would have a payment every two weeks, and 10 days with the car, and they wanted an additional $500 down and three days later, they wanted a payment. So after they let me keep the vehicle for 10 days and because I couldn't come up with all that money, they wanted it back. So I gladly took the car back and now am fighting them to get my down payment back! These guys are rude, and made me feel like the biggest piece of shit that ever walked the earth.

I went to J.D. Byrider in Meriden. They told me they would do the best for me because I had bad credit. I gave them all my info and they tell me that I can't give 300.00 for down payment and said I owe back taxes to town of Wallingford CT so I told them I will pay it and I would like a car with low mileage like no more than 70k. They said they would keep me posted and that I can afford a payment no more than 250 a month. Showed them my car and said I got it and the door in the middle was smashed. No problem when I called and told them I paid my tax bill. The lady said, "Your car still runs good. Why don't we fix the doors and you can take our a warranty with us so if the car breaks down you can fix it."

This place is a joke. Said I was approved for $299 down. Everything was great. Then they call me the day I’m supposed to pick out a vehicle and tell me I’m not approved. What a joke wasting my time. I wound never buy or recommend anybody to go to this place. I don’t care even if it’s last resort. Crooks by nature. Will never recommend anybody to go here.

Do not go to J.D. Byrider. I went there today, they overprice their vehicles and I test drive two, they both had high mileage on them for the year they are. I test drove a Nissan Sentra SV 2019. It has 119,000 miles on it and they wanted 15,900 for it and the defrost wouldn’t work. They said they fix that. Also, I couldn’t get the key fob to lock all of the doors. The back one would lock but not the front one. I tested it. They wanted 15,900 for the 2016 ford fusion se. It has 155,000 miles on it ecoboost. My Apr would have been 21%.

So, we went in and the wifi was out so our appointment was pushed back, But instead of telling us to come back another day they had us comeback a lil later and tried to get us a car even after closing so very appreciated.

They always get you taken care of in a timely manner, they always welcome you with a smile and they always do a great job, and they always provide the best service and they take the time and don't rush.

Byrider Terre Haute commits fraud by using your credit card to purchase things without your permission like insurance that they are not licensed to sell you. And if you deal with cnac according to the licensing from the state can not loan money. They are listed as a debt collector not a loan service.

Simply do not get a car from this place, this is definitely not your last resort! There is much better! They give loans that have 22% apr or higher, they prey on those looking to build their credit. Payments every two weeks are high, you’ll be paying 600 a month almost for an older vehicle that doesn’t run properly. And their contract tries to lock you in no matter if you have the car or they have it. RUN!

I can’t leave 0 stars but I would if I could. I got my car less than 6 months ago with this after being told I could only choose the one car they offered. Needing a car I went with it. But here we are not even six months later and my engine is blown. My mechanic found metal shavings in my engine which is a long term thing. Also other issues with the vehicle. Online it tells you what day your note is due and I paid on that day but they came and picked up my car saying I was a day late on my note. Then charged me a crazy fee just to get it back. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Before I drove an hour and half over here I called and spoke with Jessica and told her my situation and down payment as I didn’t want to waste anyone’s time. She assured me that I was able to get a car when I came to my appointment. We get to the appointment and then they run my credit and come back to tell me they need $2000 down and a co signer which I advised Jessica that I had neither. They wasted 3 hours of my time and work 3rd shift and still have no car!!! They put you in a cube and just leave you then come and ask the same questions as before! If I could give you a zero star, I would!!!!

My heater went out for the second time in a year. I called Donnie. He got me right in at 2:00 and I had my car fixed by 5:00 p.m. The same day. Thank you for taking your time and fixing it and making sure that I had heat.

Bought car March, 2025 Car went to shop and had Transmission replaced May/June 2025 Vehicle then had to go back July 2025 due to a misfire, which was then informed was spark plugs Now November 2025, back to route one, where vehicle is once again having the same issue had back when the transmission had to be replaced. At the point where about to see if it can be sent to my uncles transmission shop to have evaluated and fixed the proper way (everyone who has read the codes says it needs a new TCM not a new Transmission) and have the bill sent to JDB as I’m sick of the same issue over and over.

Lenny was a great salesman. He answered all the questions I had and even more he made the transition smooth. I recommend anyone who is looking. Talk to my guy Lenny. He will come through and every time!!!

Do not buy from this company. Very rude workers and they only get the cars to be fixed enough to be sold and off the property and after that they do not take responsibility for anything ever. I regret buying from these company

I was going by, not shopping or even looking. I made contact and within 2 hours I was driving home in a well kept reliable Chrysler product. Maintenance issues were quickly resolved at a reasonable cost. No regrets.

My wife hit a deer and totaled our car, we had to do something very fast and get a new car. I reached Brent and he made the whole process work in less than 2 hours. We only had to put a reasonable down payment down, bring a couple letters of verification in and we were out the door driving away. I would recommend Brent at JD Byrider to anyone with less than perfect credit. Brent also got us very reasonable payments. Thanks a lot, Brent.

I gave 1 star cause I had to. Byrider SD me a car that had a safety recall hold on my vehicle. And when I told them they came after me and repossessed my vehicle. Then they want to call and say they want to make a payment arrangement on my car. No thank you. I'm not paying for a piece of shit that was never suppose to be sold in the first place.

I purchased a vehicle from J.D. Byrider. Very easy to get approved. Put a thousand down on the vehicle they choose for me because of my credit. Not what I wanted and yet I’m thankful. But unfortunately my experience has been bad. June 18 I drove home. July blend doors in the heating and cooling went out and brakes had problems which is not covered in my warranty to my surprise. So I had to get fixed myself. So that’s money I lost and started a new job so with repairs I was struggling. Needed to change my payments to new payday because now I’m going from check to check and they don’t care to try and keep me in the vehicle after all I’ve invested in this used vehicle I’ve just purchased. At least when I’m paid I can pay note. But by God’s grace I’ve been making it. Get vehicle checked if you purchase one because you’re on your own if there are issues. God bless.

I can say the sale people was nice and kind during my short time with them but I can say this their A1 inspection is a joke so you're okay buying a car from them but I highly recommend that you see a different mechanic because these mechanics they have are a big joke. But love the sales people
