    Well let's start off by saying you go to the dealer and you are interested in buying a new truck that you can plow with. So you get a price of $67,988 and you're like "Damn that's a lot of cash." Then you make sure it has all the options that are needed for your likings. Loaded out, Lariat plow package and all the goodies. So you break the bank and go thru with the purchase and get it home. Get the new Boss plow set up all done and go out for the first plow of the season in November and you get a clicking relay in the dash. Well come to find out after plowing for a little bit it seems to get worse. Then all of a sudden your radio and heater goes off for a few seconds. Then it does it again five more time. Then the whole dash and electrical system goes down for approx. 2 minutes. So the following day I start calling Ford and don't get anywhere other than take it to the dealer. So I do that and they tell me there is nothing wrong.

    So this has been going on since Nov 25th. Well I've had it at the dealer 5 times and then I find out that Ford is producing truck that states you have a plow prep package on them and you can't plow with them without getting a power spiking issue which causes the BCM to shut all the required electronics to shut down. So my bitch is how can Ford knowingly sell a truck as a plow truck and have all these problems. And after contacting Ford customer relations I'm not any farther than I was in November. Ford has known about this problem since the 2014 model and still will not take any responsibility for fixing these problems. My advice is to check out the options on the vehicle and make sure there isn't and hidden notices where something can't be used properly. This a safety recall if I have ever seen one.

    I took my 2011 Ford Fusion in for a recall. Headed home on interstate 95 and the transmission starts slipping. My transmission wasn't slipping when I took the car in for the recall. What do you think? I am very disappointed.

    Ford no longer has a fuel sensor and therefore if the fuel composition changes the computer does not adjust and you will be stranded. We have had our 2016 Explorer towed 3 times as the computer is not able to adjust to fuel composition and will not start, until the dealer resets the computer. DO NOT purchase this 2016. It is Fraud. They sell as a flex fuel. This is a lie and FORD needs to be sued.

    I purchased a 2011 Ford edge. I was recently reading the different features and realized that Sync was now compatible with IOS phones and I could listen to texts messages. Well, here is where it all begins. I contact the sync service because after following the online instructions to try and use the text feature. I was unsuccessful. The person gets on the phone and I explain my issue. She has me go to my car and go into settings insisting that I find this particular setting that did not exist. After arguing with her for about 30 mins. She finally decided to get a supervisor involved. She then came back and realized I needed to do a update install. So I followed her instructions to go on the website. Again I was unsuccessful downloading the update.

    In the meantime I do a vehicle report. Something that comes with your son account. While still trying to figure out how to download the update. I see in red on the following. VIN: **. FSA Title: Sync with MyFord/MyLincoln touch - warranty extension covering accessory protocol interface module (APIM). Field Service Action Number: 12M02. VIN: **. FSA Title: Extended warranty coverage on brake booster. Field Service Action Number: **.

    Now I tried several times to do the install. So I call in and a lady comes on and I explain to her I am unable to get the install to work. I also tell her at the time I am using a mac computer and she tells me that is fine. So she begins walking me through the steps. One of the steps is to drag three folders over to the usb. I explain to her that there is like 17. She says there should only be three that I did something wrong. So she proceeds to tell me to go ahead and just drag the first 3 over and try that. So after several attempts and an hour goes by. She finally talks to her supervisor. She comes back on and says. "I am really sorry but my supervisor just told me we are having issues with the install with people using MAC." (Wow you just figured that out?) So she tells me that I will have to use a windows system. So I do that and the items I need load on the USB. So again I follow the instructions to install the update.

    Now it says the update will take around 30 mins. I install the usb. It does a few things and the screen goes blank. It says this is normal. An hour later the screen still has not come on. So I call Sync services again. I explain the issue and so the lady walks me through some steps and nothing worked to bring my screen up... So then she says she wants to check something else out. She comes back and says "I found that your car has an extended warranty on the APIM that there is issues with it." She proceeds to give me a code number and tells me to go to the dealer and they will repair it at no charge. I go to the dealer and the dealer also sees that there is an extended warranty. So I make my appoint drop my car off and I get a phone call from the dealer. Telling me the APIM is bad. However is not under warranty.

    I was angry at this point. Had I been warned that the install may cause this issue and was told it was not under warranty I would have considered leaving it alone and going about my business or consulted the local dealership on the cost which is approximately $800 for something that Ford admitted was an issue. So I spend the next hour trying to get someone to listen. Only to be told "sorry that warranty was for only five years and it ran out last year". So there was a huge lack of customer service experience by several people that work for Ford. But also my vehicle report was inaccurate. How can say. We know something is wrong. But we are going put a cap on how much time you get to getting it repaired. It was bad to begin with so I suffer for your mistakes? Needless to say I got nowhere.

    This 2008 f-450 super duty has been a problem since day one. This is a 6.4 diesel. Oil leaking from motor and 6500 miles, at approx. 10k miles total loss of power. It was the flex plate and torque converter. At 14200 miles flex plate and torque converter. At 17990 miles flex plate and torque converter. Ford just keeps throwing parts at it without resolving the problem, at my expense. This truck cost 65k brand new, and now with 18440 miles it's done. Ford won't help me at all. Ford just wants to sell me another truck. I cannot believe that ford will not stand behind their product. These breakdowns have caused a lot of hardship and expense and on top of that every time I get the truck back from the dealer something else is wrong. With this low of miles on this truck I feel I have been wronged and shame on Ford.

    My 2014 Ford Explorer Limited had many issues, mostly small annoying problems that could be resolved quickly, however, Ford service is the worst on the planet, they will make you cry every time you come to see them, and I have tried 3 different dealerships here in California. So they always want to keep the car all day and almost always come back to me at around 4 pm to let me know that they are not able to duplicate the issue, even though in many cases I took a ride with their technician who verified the sound. Then they tell me that the sound I am hearing is normal. One time I lost 4 days dealing with them until they finally replaced the half shaft, now I am having same issue and same argument with them. I have now told so many people not to buy Ford and I am posting everywhere on the Internet about my experience.

    My car staked several times since last year and I did return it to Ford dealer in Rustenburg and my car is on 38800 km's but now they say failed to take my car for service and I was waiting for my car to be on 40 000 km and to my knowledge is that I should service my car on 40 000 km. The problem of the car started last year and is a return job. Ford is no longer reliable. Please assist me in this regard.

    About a month ago I purchased a vehicle at five Star Ford in Georgia at five star Ford, after I bought the vehicle I brought it home to New York where I live. About three weeks later I was detailing the vehicle and noticed that the passenger side front fender had little circles. About 10 of them that look like there was touch up paint over them. After I noticed them I immediately called my local Ford dealership and ask them to take a look at the truck. Once I took the truck to them and they looked at the truck and they told me that this truck had some kind of damage done to it and that they try to touch it up at either the dealership or the Ford factory plant. So I immediately contacted the dealership in Georgia where I purchased this vehicle. They told me "oh go get a second opinion" so which at that point I took it to another Ford dealership and they said the same thing. So The other Ford dealership told me that there was over $1300 in damage to fix it.

    So I called The dealer back where I bought it and they informed me to call ford itself, so I explained the matter to ford. They gave me a case number and I've been going back-and-forth with the Ford representative and they wanted to give me money towards it to fix, so I explained to the representative at ford that that is bull crap. I purchased a brand new truck and expected a new truck not something that had damage. I have a total of three fords through them right now. I am a loyal customer and they are gonna tell me they will give me some money towards it when they sold me a truck like that that was supposedly brand new. not even to cover it under warranty.

    This is like a bad dream, a 54000 dollar truck I bought brand new and they don't wanna cover it. So to everyone that reads this DO not buy a Ford. They are the worst company to their customers after the purchase especially how loyal I been to them. I own 170000 in fords right now I'm still paying on and have had 15 previous fords and I'm only 30 years old. They have lost me as a customer for life! I hope this helps further ford buyers in their next purchase to see how bad their customer service is.

    I bought a new truck in November 2013 F-150 Platinum from Joe Myers Ford and Lincoln in Northwest Freeway Houston TX. Since 24000 mile I have my engine light coming on and I have taken my truck to the same dealership for fix. I have been experiencing the same situation since then and it is not fix yet. Two weeks ago I took the car for the same reason and they said they fixed it. When I took the truck I felt the same roughness and took the truck yesterday to be checked, they had all they the truck and told me everything is OK.

    This morning my engine light is on again. My car now has now 34400 miles and they say "we do not know the problem but everything we do is a maintenance job and you have to pay for it." I bought a Ford after a long time, and I do not know what I need to do. For sure I will not consider buying another ford. I am not really sure if the Ford company really do a good job of fixing my truck.

    STAY AWAY FROM ALL FORDS AND BUT ESPECIALLY THIS DEALERSHIP. My daughter purchased a 2015 C-Max from a dealer in RVA. With less than 7K miles on that vehicle, something from the road (according to Wynne Service), "popped" up and caused a screen cover to fall off the vehicle (which tells me something about the quality of a Ford). With an opportunity to take care of a Ford Customer, and a 30K vehicle, Wynne Ford, its Service Dept, management and CEO decided NOT to take care of the customer. After receiving a call at 8 am from service mgr., my daughter was told that the part was covered under warranty. 4 hours later, the same guy called back and said that it would not be covered due to "normal wear and tear". We were later told by a member of Sr Management that Service Mgr did not verify tech assessment, and that the tech was not qualified (RED FLAG)!!

    Sr Mgr continued to stand by "not covered", however offered to sell part at employee discount and no labor ($148). I explained that the dealership should be making that right due to all of the customer service nightmare that my daughter had been through, so she said she would speak to the CEO of Dealership to see if he would cover it... He refused!!! And my daughter is a supposed VIP Customer...whatever that means for Ford!!! We also filed a complaint with FORD ConsumerAffairs, and again got nowhere. They could have cared less about taking care of their customers.

    SO FORD, you have lost 3 customers who are in their early 20's. No chance at ever regaining their business! Nice work! So, he could have kept 3 FORD customers for a mere $150, but instead, my daughter, and 2 other family members, will be trading in their 2015 FORD vehicles, purchased in August, for another Car and rest assured it will not be a FORD product!! Moral of the story is.... the expectation of Customer service is non-existent in this Dealership, or with FORD in general... Bottom line: Chick-Fil-A gives me Customer Service 100 times better when I order a $4 kids meal! Nice Job Wynne. Way to look out for your brand. NOT!!

    Ford Fusion 2011 - In July 2015, I experienced a problem with the throttle body on my car when I was en route the train station to catch Amtrak to New York. The car failed a mile from the train station due the throttle body issue and I was forced to jump on a bus to make my train. The car was serviced and repaired by Koons Ford. In January 2016, I began to hear a whining noise when I drove the car in cold weather. I looked up online that there was a service bulletin regarding this problem. I took the car to Lindsay Ford on January 14th.

    By January 18th, Lindsay still had not pulled the car into shop on January 18th so I decided to retrieve the car and take it back to Koons. I took the care back to Lindsay since they were close to public transportation. I had negative experience at the dealer when I first purchased the car and should have known not to go back. Koons by far is a much better dealer for service.

    The car was taken to Koons on February 12th. Koons after checking the bulletin determined that it was not applicable to my car. The bulletin, 11-2-14, build date was only up Aug. 13, 2010 and my car was built Aug 31, 2010. After diagnosis, the tech concluded that the noise was due to the transfer case. The cost of repair is estimated at $2235.19. I was further advised that repair would be covered under warranty but that my warranty expired January 5th, 2016.

    I wrote Ford to see if Ford would extend goodwill coverage for this repair given my service history with Ford and the low mileage, 42K, on the car. This request would have been submitted sooner if it were not for the debacle with Lindsay. My plan with the Fusion is to give it to daughter when she goes to college this fall and buy a new hybrid Ford. Ford denied my claim. As a result, I sold my stock and bought GM and I will never buy a Ford. Bad customer service cost them a shareholder and customer.

    I purchased a 2012 Ford Certified Pre-Owned Focus in August of 2015. The car had just over 22,000 miles. It was in exceptionally good condition and appeared to be well cared for. I was very reluctant to buy a Ford product because I had a terrible experience with Ford 15+ years ago. I planned to purchase a Chevy Cruze when a friend told me to reconsider Ford and look at a Focus.

    I visited a Ford dealer and compared the Focus to the Cruze. They were pretty comparable across the board. My daughter pushed for the Focus. We drove a Focus and talked to a couple different dealers quite a bit. I remained skeptical. The dealer convinced us to buy a Certified Focus because it came with an extended the bumper to bumper warranty for 12 months/12,0000 miles and a powertrain warranty extension to 7 years/100,000 miles. The warranty convinced me to give Ford a second chance. My daughter really likes her car and has no real complaints so far.

    Last week, the car came due for the first oil change. I told her to take it to the Ford Dealer and also let them know that the transmission was not shifting correctly as well as the vents in the rear deck were disintegrating. If you touch them and they literally turn to dust. The dealer told her that the transmission was part of a recall and that she would need to make an appointment to have it reprogrammed. The rear deck was not covered under warranty.

    I called the dealer back and spoke to the service dept letting them know the car is Ford Certified and that it should be covered under the extended bumper to bumper coverage. The service writer told me that the 12 Month/12,000 mile warranty expires on 8/8/2016, however, Ford CPO is a limited warranty that covers selected parts. They also clarified that Ford CPO does NOT extend the bumper to bumper warranty. It is a limited warranty. There is a specific list of items that are covered. The Ford warranty also has a $100 deductible. That was news to me. I had purchased vehicles certified by other manufacturers and never had a deductible or been told that the bumper to bumper portion has a limited list of repairs. The Ford sales people made it sound the same as other CPO programs.

    I decided to call Ford Motor Company to verify what I was told. Prior to calling I did some research into the issues we reported with our Focus. Apparently both issues are known problems with Focus sedans. Ford issued a Technical Service Bulletin documenting the rear deck problem and provided instructions for dealers how to perform the repair. The transmission was recalled as we were told. Seems pretty straight forward so far.

    I called Ford and spoke to Amanda. I told her about the Ford Focus Owners website where there are many complaints about the rear deck dissolving into powder and provided the TSB number that documents the problem. Amanda kept informing me that she was not aware of the issue and kept trying to refer me back to the dealer. I went round and round with her. She seemed quick with the phrases: "I am not aware of the issue", "I do not have access to that information", "I am not able to diagnose the problem over the phone". She was clearly trying to get me off the phone.

    I was not asking her for a diagnosis. I informed her that a Ford dealer already did the diagnosis. I told her I wanted to know if the warranty covers replacement of the failed parts. The car at this point had 28,000 miles and should not be dissolving into dust. She said that she had conflicting information about coverage. One document said the repair should be covered, the other said it was not. She said she would call me back after doing some research. I never received a callback.

    I waited a few days and contacted Ford Motor Company again. I spoke to Nick this time. Nick said that there was no record of my previous call. I was not surprised. I had to start over and tell him the whole story. I went round and round again. It was nearly a repeat conversation. Nick like Amanda insisted that he could not diagnose the car over the phone. I was starting to get angry because I clearly was NOT asking for a diagnosis. I asked again and again if the part identified in the TSB failed, does the Ford CPO warranty cover the repair? Seemed pretty clear to me, but he kept trying to make the issue about the diagnosis and again kept repeating that he could not diagnose the issue over the phone and that I needed to go to a Ford dealer. I bet he said "I don't have access to that information" or some variant of it at least 10+ times. We continued to go round and round.

    Finally I decided to go in a different direction and ask what parts of the rear deck are covered by Ford CPO. Progress at last. The answer was there are 2 part numbers. One was covered, one was not. The part that is known to fail, is documented as failing repeatedly by Ford, and has a Ford TSB issued for the repair IS NOT COVERED by warranty. The other part number that doesn't have any issues is covered by the warranty.

    If you are considering a Ford CPO used car, do your homework. Ford's warranty is NOT like other CPO programs on the market. Ford limits what they cover and also requires you to pay a deductible. They do a good job with marketing to create the impression that their program is valuable. Don't be fooled! I should have verified Ford CPO against the GM CPO on the Chevy Cruise. It was my own fault for trusting them and not reading before we purchased the Focus. My 19 year old daughter now understands why I was so reluctant to buy Ford. The way Ford representatives handled my call both times was extremely frustrating. I will avoid the Ford CPO program in the future and suggest any reader do the same. We tried 3 times through the dealership and twice with Ford. We received the message and wanted to share it with people.

    I purchased a Ford Focus about a year ago. I have been to the shop 5 times now because of the clutch shudder on the transmission. It still is not fixed. I called customer service at Ford and am still waiting for a callback. If you can't fix a problem on your car why are you still selling it? My next step is to contact an attorney. I will never buy a Ford again.

    In June 2015 I ordered a brand-new Ford F-150 in a color that they charge extra for. OK fine. I took delivery of the vehicle, and a week later, while handwashing it, I noticed that it was a big glob of something on the roof, a giant swirl on the left front hood, and the tailgate is half shiny and half dull. iPhone the salesman, and he directed me to the dealer's body shop. The body shop only addressed the roof, as they said the other two imperfections were not visible to their eyes. The customer is always right remember?

    Anyway, when I got the truck back I looked at it and it seemed fine. About an hour later a friend and I both climbed into the bed and looked at the roof because it had become very bright and sunny out. There were dozens of air bubble over the river. I called the body shop and brought it back in. It was at this time that a body shop manager told me the history of my new truck. He said that "The paint sprayers at the Ford Dearborn truck plant had malfunctioned at the time my truck was being painted." He went on to say, that the truck was tag and set aside for repaint, but someone removed the tag and shipped it.

    Ford KNOWINGLY SHIPPED my truck with DEFECTIVE paint!!! I WAS LIVID!!! After my truck was given back to me, I drove away in tears. Again I waited for it to be very sunny, and I looked at it again. Only this time my roof which should be one sheet shiny paint, had buff marks which resembled sandpaper being used all over the roof. I was sick and furious!!!

    I went back a third time and was met by the body shop manager and another man. I spoke up again about my outrage at the plant knowingly shipped my truck with the fact of paint. The body shop manager said to me, "I probably shouldn't of told you that," and the other man nodded his head in agreement. They stood on stool and looked at my roof. It had rained that morning, so there was dust on my roof. The unnamed man said he couldn't see a problem, so I gently with my finger and started wiping off some of the dirt. He said, "it can't be that noticeable if you have to let your finger to see it." He left, and I stayed to speak to the body shop manager. I asked him who that rude man was so belittled me, and he said, "The dealership owner."

    That man didn't even have the courtesy of introducing himself. Yes I purchased a $45,000 truck from him. Seriously? I offered to have my truck shipped back to the plant to have it factory-painted like I ordered and paid for. I am now stuck making payments for the next six years on a brand-new F-150 with a ** paint job. This is not what I ordered, and paid for. My truck was to have factory paint.

    I have a 1999 Ford F-250 SD V10 Automatic 4x4. Last night after parking the truck in my driveway it burst into flames and burned the entire truck. Luckily my 14 year old son was able to get away when things went from bad to worse. Now I read this is a known problem Ford knows about. After owning Ford cars and trucks all my life I have had enough. I lost all the tools I had in the truck and much more. Thank God I only got minor burns. And my son was not hurt.

    We purchased a Ford Focus in 2013. Shortly after purchasing this car we started having transmission issues, had the clutch replaced and several other things done. We had to have the pcm/tcm reprogrammed a few times and have had a new one installed. Waiting on seals to be replaced. For the 3 years we have owned this car we have made numerous complaints to Ford and even called the corporate office for help, which does not come. We are unable to trade the car into anyone as it will not be paid off because of the transmission trouble. I just drove it for the first time since we have had the TCM replaced and I have to say this car is dangerous!

    Something needs to be done about this before I or my husband is killed because the car will not move. Stuttering or shuddering or whatever Ford calls it is wrong! We have been told that at least 35,000 customers are waiting for the same part!!! What is Ford going to do? This is by far the worst car we have ever owned!!! Ford needs to man up and take these cars back or pay them off so new cars can be purchased.

    This car started off my dream car. I moved from Louisiana to California about 4 years ago and the troubles began. Apparently the car cannot handle the hills and inclines of San Diego. About a year after moving here I started having a slight thud after putting far in reverse. My husband said I just needed to let the motor wind down before putting in drive. It wasn't an everyday all the time problem. Just intermittent then last year it began to shut off on me going down the road. I would stop at a stop sign or red light and the car literally would crawl then hard bang and take off. The problems got more frequent and worse. I was involved in a frontal collision doing about 30 miles an hour, enough to send the other car that ran the red light into a 360 turn and not one air bag in the car went off. $13000.00 dollars worth of damage to the front end of my car and not one air bag inflated. Thank god we were all buckled up.

    After the accident I drove the car for about 2 weeks before the car literally sounded like it was grinding rocks, transmission slipping severely and I was afraid to drive it. I take it into the local Ford dealership and after having it for 2 days I get a call saying they can't figure it out. 10 minutes later they call and say it's ready. I get there and I'm told "you need a new transmission." $5700 for a transmission that apparently has some defects from all of the other people I've read complaining having the same issues! Ford should be ashamed for putting a transmission in a "family" car that is potentially unsafe and unreliable. Beware when buying one of these.

    About six months ago around midnight my 2001 Ford truck caught on fire in the engine compartment and the fire was caught by our security camera. The next day the fire inspector informed me that there was a recall that was not performed on the truck and the defect was a switch under the hood that caused engine fires. I contacted Ford several times. Each time they said "you will receive a letter within 15 days." Well it's been months and nothing has been done by Ford?? I believe that Ford should have paid me for the loss of the truck.

    2011 Ford Fiesta - Waiting for third clutch assembly parts. Car shuttering, lunging and failing to accelerate. No longer feel safe in this car. Ford refuses to give me loaner car to drive while waiting the eight to ten weeks for back ordered parts. Have had the problem since I purchased the car and still nothing to fix it. Have had several computer updates and one replacement on the TCM. Why can't the manufacturer make it right for their customers? I will be looking for another manufacturer for my next automobile purchase.

    The transmission on my daughter's 2008 Ford Fusion AWD was diagnosed as bad with 85k on it which required a new one (the internal part was not serviceable) to be installed at a cost approx $5k (she was away at college and all contact with the service dept was via phone). The PTU (the mechanism that transfers the power to the back wheels) was removed from the "bad" trans and installed on the new one, but the dealership failed to replace $20 worth of seals that Ford's service manual requires done when "any time the PTU is removed".

    Now a leak from these internal seals has appeared. To repair the leak, almost the entire front right of the transaxle must be removed which accounts for 90% of the cost due to the 6 hours labor. If the job was done right, when the trans was out of the car, and the PTU was on the bench, labor would have been nearly nothing (I would have paid the nominal amount if asked). The dealership will do nothing saying "It didn't leak before" and most troubling the Ford Customer Service Dept will not do anything either saying it's a "dealership workmanship" problem and they have no ability to force them to do anything they don't want to do although it's their blue oval outside.     2014 FORD EDGE - A high pitch noise started coming from engine compartment one evening with the vehicle sitting in the garage. The next morning the car was totally dead. Jumped it and local mechanic diagnosed it to a mechanism sticking in the transmission. With only 50,000 miles on the car he recommended dealer service since it should be warrantied still. Already knowing the problem, I made an appointment with the nearest Ford dealer, who was an hour away. I gave them all the information from my mechanic and they gave me a rental car so I could get home and work the next day.

    The following day they call and say the professionally installed aftermarket auto-start was malfunctioning and they unhooked it and the car was now fine. So I have to pay for the rental car and the shop time, couple hundred dollars. The day after I get home with my wife's car it will not start again. I put a charger on the battery and it will not take a charge. The dealer says they will warranty the battery so I bring it down again to get the battery replaced on a Saturday morning.

    This will be my 3rd round trip to the dealer, which is an hour away. They replace the battery but make me pay 50 dollars for the new one. The only reason the battery got wrecked was because they left the car outside after I dropped it off and allowed it to drain completely. This should not have happened. I specifically told them they need to bring the car in or put a battery maintainer on it due to the mechanism drawing power constantly with the car off. But they tell me it was not their fault and I have to pay for the battery.

    After paying for the battery and again being reassured that the auto-start is still the problem and it has been unhooked so I can drive the car until it is repaired, I head to my vehicle to go home. As I approach the car I hear the same high pitch noise that started the whole ordeal! So I promptly go back into the service department and bring the service manager out to hear the noise and tell him it still is not fixed and I am not leaving until they figure it out. They bring it in and actually do a diagnostic on the car and discover that the mechanism is sticking! Exactly what my original, non FORD TECHNICIAN, diagnosed two weeks earlier. They tell me they need to get it in to do more tests before they can order a part but it will not be for 3 weeks until they can look at it again.

    3 WEEK LATER. I drop the car off, not yet even knowing if they will be covering the repairs under warranty yet or not on this less than 2 yr old vehicle with just over 50000 miles on it. The next day they call and say they have to replace the mechanism and it will be under warranty. It is going be a few days to get the part and get it done. Understandable and we await them calling to tell us it is done.

    A few days go by and no word. I call and the Service manager says they put the part in but need to do more tests. He calls me back a few hours later and says the computer that is controlling the drive train is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. It is under warranty and they are waiting on the part. I call them next week for a status, my wife and I both work full time and live 8 mile out of town so we rely on 2 vehicles. With different schedules to keep and her needing a vehicle to transport items during the day, we have been begging and borrowing rides for a month already.

    They say it is on back order and it will be another month and a half until the part is received. I ask if there is any kind of rental assistance or a loaner vehicle we can use until it is fixed. The main reason I am concerned is this is a week before christmas and that is the busiest time of the year for my wife and I and the worst time to be down to one vehicle. They tell me to come get a rental and Ford should cover it. A few days after we get the rental, the dealer calls and says Ford will not pay for a rental and we are going to have to pay for it ourselves.

    At this point I have made 5 trips to the dealer, who is an hr away one way, paid for mechanic time, battery replacement, and car rental on a problem that should have been covered under warranty. So I ask who I need to talk to about this because I feel as if the dealer is not handling it properly. I get referred to a regional manager 3 TIMES from for customer service and finally on the 3rd time the manager calls me. He, very rudely and arrogantly tells me that warranty does not cover rental or car assistance and we don't qualify for assistance programs. I ask him why we don't and he tells me that he cannot tell me why and he has the final say on it.

    So I call for corporate offices, feeling like there is no way they could treat someone so ** and care so little for their customers and their satisfaction with their products. After speaking with a very pleasant customer relations lady, the next day the dealer calls and says they will cover the car until the 1st of the year. The status as of today is we still do not have our car fixed. We returned the rental car and paid another 114 dollars for keeping 3 days past the 1st of the year, even though they were not open on the 1st to return the vehicle anyway. And we have no idea when we will even get our vehicle fixed because Ford cannot tell the dealer when a part will be available. Problem started November 10th 2015 and this was written on January 6th 2016. Do NOT buy any FORD PRODUCTS EVERY! Warning! Horrible customer service!

    I am very upset to the point where I am in the midst of contacting the Better Business Bureau and posting a blog online regarding your company lack of integrity and manner of doing business. In November, my 2010 Ford Edge which is currently financed through your company caught on fire due to an ABS issue. I bought the vehicle as a used vehicle in 2013. I contacted my local dealership to report the problem. It took them 7 days before someone contacted me regarding a diagnosis of the problem. The car was towed but someone failed to address the issue. I was initially told it was my issue. Coincidentally, I went online and found out that that there was an issue and there was a recall at which point someone decided that they will look into the matter. The service department decided that they would begin repair on the vehicle. I was given a rental while the repair were to be done.

    First, the service repair advisor was incompetent as I had been calling everyday to get a status of the vehicle and each time I was told that they are working on it or the parts was not in. Your record would also reflect every time I made a phone call and spoke to someone, even calls made to your corporate headquarters. I was even assured that because of the situation everything would be handled. What I fail to understand that why it took almost 5 weeks for a part to come in. It's a Ford vehicle part, should be readily accessible. It is not an older model vehicle so what was the issue here?

    Here is where I am really pissed off with this whole situation. My mom went in today to get her vehicle oil changed. Note, hers is 2014 Edge as well. I relayed my concern to her and she decided to find out exactly what was going on. Ironically, what my mom was told that is the they can pick the car up today. How coincidental? She asked about the rental and was told that they were only covered for 10 days. Well, that is not acceptable or reasonable. We had no control on how long it would have taken to repair the vehicle. Why should we be penalized with a $1500.00 bill when nothing that occurred was within our control. Ford Motor Company was in total control of this situation from beginning to end and we are now receiving the ** end of this situation by being held hostage to pay a $1500.00 rental bill which I don't have especially this time of the year.

    Your local dealership was less than accommodating and did nothing within their power to expedite the repair of the vehicle. This was I believe the company did in order to recoup the cost of repairing the vehicle. They held on to the vehicle for as long as they could. The prolonged the process, which increased the cost of the rental, which was deceitful and as unprofessional. Your company is not a small mom and pop repair shop. You are a major company and should have pride and integrity in the way you do business.

    My mom has been a valued Ford customer for over 20 years. Every vehicle she has ever owned was a Ford vehicle. This has left us and her very dissatisfied with your company and your business practice. I still feels that we can come to some amicable agreement. As I said before, I am between a rock and a hard place as I have no other choice because I will need my vehicle especially since I am one vehicle home currently since I also I have another Ford vehicle that is also down because of needed repairs.

    I close with this statement - I am a very unhappy and dissatisfied customer. I am also not going to roll over and let this slide. Based on how this turns on it is my intent to take further action on this matter. I do intend to post pictures on the Internet of the vehicle. It may cost me $1500.00 but in the long run when I am done it will cost the company more based on reviews I will post online and providing feedback and reviews for this vehicle and your company as a whole. Looking forward to hearing from you. I would rate lower than a 1 star. Unfortunately it does not go lower than a 1.

    Ford Fiesta 2013 - DO NOT BUY!!! I'm stuck now after going to the shop 5-7 times for the clutch and shuddering... Finally told, sorry, nothing to do. I bought this car in good faith and they SUCK!!! Same problems everyone else is talking about. I only have 3,100 miles on my car. This should not be happening!! I got the lemon and they will not do anything to fix it or make me whole! So disappointed.

    Purchased the new 2014 Ford Fiesta in August 2014. By the time I went in for my first oil change I was having problems with the car shaking, jerking, slipping, shuddering upon light acceleration on gas from a complete stop. I expressed my complaint/problem with the service technician and he said it's normal, people complain about the same issue all the time and there's nothing they can do. As of today's date the problem still exist, I been back to the dealership with the same complaint and nothing has ever been resolved. And it seems like it's getting worse.

    Bought a new 2016 Ford Explorer and with 300 miles on it. I noticed the paint had dots in it. I took it back to the dealer and they said it was paint pop and they will wet sand the car to fix it. So they did and I got my car back with white spots all over it. So they said we have to repaint the whole car. I said that was not acceptable to have a new car that has to be repainted. The dealer and Ford motor company said that all they will do but everyone I have talked to said they would not accept a new car that was repainted but they want me to. They gave me two choices. Get the car repainted or trade it in. So I was going to trade it in but I would lose 8 grand. Now the car is all taken apart and getting repainted with 300 miles on it.

    I own 6 Ford cars and trucks as of today and will never buy another one so make sure if you are looking to buy a new Explorer, you look at the paint. I bought a black one and stopped at two other dealers to look at the they had on the lot and they had the same problem as mine. And ford said there is nothing wrong with them. Buyers beware.

    I just traded my 2013 Edge to get the new and improved 2015 Edge... Have the EcoBoost 4 cylinder in both and the 2015 improvement on the motor is great but the rest I am not impressed. It came with the cheap mats Ford installs and so I ordered the all weather mats for another 95.00 only to find the driver mat doesn't even go up under the pedals where most of the crud falls off... Whats up with that Ford. I sure some DS blamed his accident on a pedal catching on the mat.

    Next the driver seat is terrible uncomfortable with the seat portion bolster way higher than the seat so I carry my weight on the outside of my thighs. I am not a huge guy at 5-9 190 either... Other complaint is they shrunk the controls behind the steering wheel and I find them more difficult to use. They are quieter inside but overall I wish I had my trade money back and still driving my 2013 Edge... Not really any improvement overall in my book. I will be looking for something else in a couple years for sure.

    38 days ago my new 2015 Ford F150 broke down with 8000 miles on it. A part in the transmission is defective. It has now been 38 days and I still do not have an ETA on the repair of this vehicle. Parts are not available for this truck. Ford has been completely uncooperative and unsupportive. While a rental car has been provided, they expect me to pay the difference between what they pay and the baseline price of the lowest level rental provided by the rental company. At this point they state that they will ship an entirely new transmission, however they have no ETA on this and it could be up to two more weeks until this is resolved. When I escalated this to Ford customer service the only resolution is to keep waiting. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I will be escalating this to legal means.

    I've had 2 vehicles now that have had this problem, 2014 Escape & my new 2015 Explorer. With both vehicles the leather gets a dark color on the seat backs not the seats themselves. I've been told numerous times Ford warranty won't cover it because they don't classify this as a defect. They tell me it's a fabric transfer. How can it be a fabric transfer when I wear white most of the time because I live in Florida? So today I get a reply from Pauline in the Ford customer service department stating Ford will not do anything to fix this problem. I know I'm not the only Ford owner with this problem. So I've invested $200 on specially made seat covers for the explorer because of the airbags.

    Needless to say this is my last investment in a Ford product. I'm just plain tired of arguing with a brick wall. The dealership had one of their people put shoe polish on as a temporary fix. REALLY!?! I'd like to hear if any other Ford owners have had this same problem. Feel free to email me: **. I know I'm not crazy, that this is a problem Ford just doesn't want to fix.     I'm very happy with my Ford Fiesta. I've had it for 3 years now and so far the ride is still smooth. The airconditioner is cold. The only thing I don't like is the space inside. It's quite small, you can only fit 3 small-medium size people in the back seat. I wish the space was a little bigger.

My car broke down this morning on the highway, I phoned for service at 10:30am and 4 1/2 hours later, I'm still waiting. AAA is likely worth the price for peace of mind.

    11/02/15 My family and I had just came from a store at around 6pm, truck showed no signs of misuse or damage for I have had this truck for more than 10 years with no serious problems. We parked our truck at our apartment complex again with no signs of anything that could have triggered a fire. At 11:30 pm our neighbors had notified us that our truck was on fire. The fire department arrived about 20 minutes into the fire leaving the truck completely nonexistent. The fire department told us the fire had started in the engine. I've never heard of some kind of recall in these models of trucks, Ford company should be responsible for all these damages.

    I purchased a 2015 Ford F-150 Truck this year which the airbag light appeared on the driver’s side of the vehicle. So I took the truck in to Bell Ford for warranty work on September 1, 2015 to fix this problem. The service department determined that they needed to replace the wiring harness inside the truck which involved stripping the entire interior of the vehicle. This meant everything had to come out down to the metal inside dash, seats, console, headliner, carpet, door panels; everything was torn out of my $63,000.00 brand new Ford F150 Platinum Truck!

    During this process I made calls to the assistant service manager, Mike **, to check on the progress and also to voice my concerns regarding the extent of this repair to my new truck. I was worried about the reassembly because of the drastic solution to this problem. I wanted to ensure that the service techs would efficiently put my truck back together so there were no rattles or other problems created because of this extensive repair. I related to Mike ** that my main concerns were that after the warranty was up that it might have some issues with rattles or malfunctions on anything in the future. Mike ** said if he owned this truck he would be concerned too however he assured me that he had his lead tech working on my truck. Also he stated that his guy was the only one working on my truck because only one guy should tear it apart and put it back together for continuity.

    On September 17, 2015, I stopped by in person to check on the progress of this repair and discovered that the lead tech was not the one doing the repair it was a young lady that was inside my truck reinstalling all of the parts that were scattered around my truck. I asked Mike ** if this young lady was his lead tech and he replied no however his lead tech was overseeing her work which to me is not what I had originally been told. There was no lead tech or any other tech involved at this time and the young lady inside whose name is Whitney verified that she is the only one that had been working on my truck.

    I received a call on September 18, 2015 informing me that the truck was ready to be picked up. I discovered after inspecting what I could see that there were many problems with the truck. There were visibly cracked and broken parts reinstalled instead of replaced. I ended up with a punch list of 13 items that were evident to the naked eye therefore who knows what is wrong with what cannot be seen. I took the truck back to the service department that day however they told me to keep it until they received the new parts they had to order that had been ruined during the reassembly process.

    I delivered the truck back to Bell Ford on September 30, 2015 and during the time between the 18th and the 30th of September I had more issues that surfaced in the dash area that could not have been originally detected until driving the truck for a while. Therefore I determined that this was going to be an ongoing problem and that I was not going to keep this vehicle. So I traded it in because of the distrust and the lying and would never feel confident with this truck in the future.

    I had a meeting with Lee **, General Manager, and Mike **, Service Manager on October 9, 2015 in which I requested reimbursement for the amount of money I was out for the accessories for the new truck which were items that I had purchased for the F150 truck originally. I gave Lee an itemized list which amounted to $2,063.86. Lee explained that he was leaving for Hawaii the next day (October 10, 2015) and could I give him a couple of weeks to work on a resolution. Lee and Mike apologized for their assistant service manager, Mike ** lying to me about the service repair and that they did not do right by me and were sorry for everything.

    After Lee's return from Hawaii I met with Lee and Mike ** on October 22, 2015 where Lee apologized again profusely for the mistakes and lying regarding this repair. There was some discussion again about the issues and Lee said he was not going to give me $2,063.86 to go away. I got up to leave and said, "Okay then I am done" and then Lee said, "Aren't you going to negotiate?" And I said, "Okay I want $1,999.99," and Lee replied, "I will give you $1,000." I said, "No I am done" and left. In summary Bell Ford admitted to bad service and their employee lying however they are not willing to make it right to my satisfaction. If all the repairs would have been done correctly I would have kept the truck and not been out any money.

    The car has 17250 miles on it, it's 2014 Fiesta Titanium. I have been having transmission problems. Shuddering, shaking, jerking, jolting, sudden or delayed acceleration have all been problems. Low speeds seem to be an issue with it. It seems to shudder in between 1st and 2nd gears. I also have had it stall while in reverse. I have taken it to the Ford dealership, they are aware of the issue, have had multiple complaints, and said they would reprogram the software to make the shift changes more smooth. It is still exhibiting the same issues - harsh shuddering, gears slipping, clicking and noises. It's just a matter of time before this vehicle kills someone. I wasn't told that this car would operate any differently than any other car.

    The dealership says that all of these symptoms are 'normal' for the kind of transmission that they sold me and that it's still safe to drive. Even when I took it in to get reprogrammed for the shuddering, the technician said that "it's still going to do it." What?! It wasn't doing it before and now you want me to deal with a shuddering vehicle? And you say you still can't fix it? That's terrible. I've owned Ford's all my life and this is my first new car and I feel like I've made a terrible decision and it's barely got 20,000 miles on it. More importantly, the safety. I've had more than one close call with trying to accelerate and the transmission not responding in enough time to get out of the way. Operates unlike any other vehicle I've owned and not in a good way.

    Have had 4 door latches break on my 2013 Fiesta. 2 of them broke while the car was moving. Service guys at Southwest Ford were wonderful. But when they turned me over to customer service lead Amelia **, I tried to call her for 2 weeks to find out what they were going to do. Never did hear back from her. Finally one of the other flunkies called me back and was so rude and short that I could not even talk to her. Now just found out my case is closed without ever hearing from anyone. I volunteered to take any of their families for a drive in my piece of crap car, but no one accepted the offer. Wonder why. Cannot wait to pay this pathetic vehicle down enough to trade it in. Ford is the most disappointing company I have ever had to deal with and will never make that mistake again. Not that I really expect anyone from Ford to read this. Case **.     Two weeks ago l took delivery on a new ordered Ford Lariat f150, paying 52000 plus tax in full. Beautiful high end truck with 20 inch chrome wheels. Two days after taking delivery I was installing wheel locks. I noticed one rim was damaged with two 1/8 by 1/8 by 1/8 puncture marks in the chrome which were starting to show signs of rust and had fine scratches in the chrome as someone tried to remove the defect. It appears that someone dropped the rim and tire on some sort of sharp object. I returned to the Ford dealer where they took pictures and filed a complaint with Ford. Declined, they appealed a second time and that was declined by Ford. The dealer has offered a new rim for an additional 500 plus dollars. Advice, just because a vehicle is expensive and new check the cosmetics of the vehicle THOROUGHLY. Don't close the deal if you see any cosmetic damage. Don't expect Ford to provide ANY assistance for this type of damage.

    2012 Ford Edge. Electrical issues. Gas gauge sometimes works; ditto engine warning, over heating light, sun roof, transmission, brakes. Bought new 43,000. Gas gauge and engine warning I complained about to Heller then Perry while under warranty. Never seemed to find anything wrong (remember this). At 95k had 100k service done at Perry. Then tranny fails. Extended warranty (hassle) covered that.

    They didn't check cooling system, car warning light came on 50 miles from Las Vegas 114 degrees out. Went to Miller Ford in Provo UT. Just a radiator cap, two days and $600. Back to Perry, nothing wrong. Then turn indicator chimes come on, fan goes on automatically, can't turn off, then brakes fail. Send it to Heller now that it is out of warranty. Gee, gas tank sender unit is out (remember couldn't find anything wrong) 1000.00, fan motor bad 700.00, then in three days they can't find what is wrong with brakes - still waiting. Called Ford, they only go on word of dealers. I asked for a Ford field engineer (Ford first call said to ask for one). Ford field rep blew me off. So I have a 43k piece of crap that is unsafe and Ford blows me off. Any attorneys out there doing class action?

    I purchased a truck at the Ford dealership in Baton Rouge a 2012. And this vehicle along with newer models don't come with fuel caps. I have contacted the parts department about getting a fuel plug because someone could easily put something in the tank and ruin the engine. He rudely said, "Well I think the person who put the stuff in the fuel tank is responsible not Ford. Well I think if you buy a 20,000 dollar or more vehicle from Ford you should at least be able to get a gas cap." I won't be buying another vehicle like this and I will let the thousand of people I work with know how Ford is too cheap to put a fuel cap on its trucks and they want everybody who buys a truck to buy their own cap. Something needs to be done about this. I will not purchase a fuel cap from Ford. It should have came with the truck.

    If something happens to my truck I will get an attorney and take this up the manufacturer. This is asinine. You spend thousands of your hard earned money with this people and they can't give you a gas cap. I bet Chevy has gas caps on their trucks. Somebody needs to send me a fuel cap for this truck. I am pissed these trucks have no fuel cap or Ford does not provide one. I will make sure I tell everyone I see about this. Hopefully Ford will start putting on caps when they lose enough sales. This sucks.

    Truck burnt up by DEFECT. My 2002 FORD 350 exploded at 2 A.M. while not being used for over two days! I then got stonewalled and laughed at by the rude people of this garbage company. I also started getting recalls for the exact reason my Ford lit up. A wire heated that was hooked up to the brake master cylinder. This happened years ago and I was just sent a message that I have had over 60,000 hits with people experiencing the same problem. NEVER BUY FORD!!! I have pictures. Shame on that company for crapping on the small men of America…the working man!!! Please boycott that no good company. Buy G.M. I had 4 Chevy trucks and all lasted a few hundred thousand miles each.

    I leased a Ford Fusion 2013 for my son and it had some damage to the front end. I took the car in to my body shop and completed the repairs. I turned in the vehicle on same day I picked up from the Body shop. Two weeks later Ford says I owe 1900 dollars for excess wear. I challenged their assertion by requesting to inspect the damage. Ford said that the car was not available for inspection. When I told them that I had it repaired prior to turning it in and would rather buy it than pay 2000.00 dollars they replied that it's not an option but would give me credit for the repairs.

    My question to them was simple. "Why could you give me credit for a repair that you claim I did not do." They are not able to answer this and honestly, I'll rely on my dealership statement that the outside company tries to collect as much as they can to validate their existence. I will pledge that Never again. I will never buy or lease a ford again.     Fall of 2014, purchased a new Expedition (traded in an older one, which I loved). I'm happy with the vehicle; just not the dealership. Whenever I had questions about operation of things on the vehicle, went back or called dealership, and they always helped. But when I hit a post because the backup system alarm didn't work – another story. Had the same system on the old one and it always worked. Now, apparently, the system was "turned off". Had to be "turned on", which was never mentioned by the salesman or "the book". Even called Ford and they took no responsibility either – no one does, because it works – just not turned on. This was never an option in the old one & I was never told differently. Now I have a 4 figure repair, to learn this little quirk to the system, and no one wants to take any responsibility!!

    I'm writing to express our extremely disappointing experience with Ford. My husband bought a 2010 F150 and back in May of this year 2015, he went to Ford about the extensive rust damage on the vehicle. He has owned nothing but Ford products through the years and he has never experienced such a problem. To make a long story short, he went back and forth with Ford regarding the extensive damage. His truck has been in the shop for five weeks waiting on Ford to at least agree to take some sort of responsibility and they will not do anything. We are so disappointed.     Purchased a new Ford F-150 on 6/27/2015 from HemBorg Ford in Norco, Ca. External fan came on a few times as soon as the truck was started while we moved the truck in and out of our shop and would not shut off unless we turn engine off and restarted truck. On September 1 after picking the truck up from getting the decals the battery light came on. The following day I made a phone call up to our local mechanic to see if he could check out why the battery light was on since they are a half mile from where I lived. Pulled the truck out of the shop and let it run for about 30 minutes while I cleaned it to see if maybe the light was on because the truck had been sitting in the shop. I then got in the truck and drove off.

    It is about 12 miles from our shop to the local mechanic shop but after getting on the freeway the Sync system notified me. I was going to lose power to some electric powered features or something of that sort. It didn't repeat it. It only said it once so I can't remember exactly. I turned off the radio and air thinking maybe it's a low battery issue. A few minutes later all the indicator lights came on and the truck lost power. I looked in my mirror to get over and to my horror I saw smoke pouring out from under the truck out the back. As soon as I pulled over the smoke was coming out from under the hood as well as flames were starting to come out too. I popped the hood and jumped out looking for my fire extinguisher and in panic could locate it. I ran to the front of the truck and tried to unlatch the hood, but the smoke and flames were pouring out.

    A guy ran up and started with his fire extinguisher, but we couldn't get the flames down enough to get the hood opened. By the time the fire department got there, the front tires caught fire and blew into the field which started a 5-acre fire which did slightly damage some decks on a few homes. The fire dept didn't put any water on the truck because they were trying to save these people's homes and I watched in horror. The truck and all our equipment burn to the ground. Some people say why didn't we bring it in when the external fan came on but honestly most people would have even noticed it. I know because we own 9 Fords between our business and personal but since the truck was only at our shop and not in service yet it would be brought in before it was ready to go into service the Ford dealer.

    I would have brought it to was father then my local mechanic so it wouldn't have made it either way. I am beside myself with this. Did the fan keep coming on because the computer was telling the truck something was hot? Why did the battery light come on (I did take a picture of the dash when I was pulling into the shop after we picked it up from getting decals and it shows the light on. Please help.

I was told when I picked up the vehicle that the number 7 plug blew and 2 others were about to do the same. Original plugs from factory. $600 later and ready to trade in for Chevy before this happens again.

    I am very disappointed with the quality of the Ford edge car. I bought this car in Dec 2012 and it had 3 years free service and warranty. During the past 2.5 years the car has refused to start twice at crucial times and had to be sent to the workshop. I was told that the battery was faulty and it was replaced 2 times. On 1 occasion the car cooling hose burst in the middle of peak hour traffic on Sheikh Zayed road. I had to call a tow truck and sent to workshop.

    I got the car additional 2 years 20k km free servicing by paying over AED 3000 however as soon as the 60k km warranty was over the car started to miss engine beats and stopped in mid traffic many times. Again at the workshop I was billed for AED 1320 for labour and replacement of spark plugs and catalytic cleaning. Now the workshop has informed me that the battery needs to be replaced again 3rd time and I will have to pay for this. Any other competitors car would not have given me so much problem seeing that till date it is driven locally in Dubai only 68k km and is 2.5 years old. Very poor quality not expected from FORD.

    We drove a very short way to our local tractor supply company to pick up feed. I was in the store for about 15 minutes. When I got to the register someone said, "There's a truck on fire in the parking lot!" The fire had just started. It was up in flames and burnt to a crisp in less than ten minutes. Flames shot 20 feet up in the air and it melted the pavement under the truck. We would have been dead if it had happened twenty minutes sooner. The fire department made it in good time, but the truck was already totaled. Everything in the cab was ruined, including all three children's car seats. Thankful I have comprehensive insurance. It's a total loss. I have no truck. >:-o Up until this point, this truck ran like a top and was very reliable.

    First off if I could take away the star I was required to give I would. I own a 2001 Ford Excursion, have wanted one for some time, after purchasing the truck I was completely satisfied with it. But a very short time later I experienced my first spark plug that blew out. Luckily (why I don't know) it didn't take the threads the first time out. Well tonight I have now experienced my total of my third plug blowing out. Money for me does not come easy, and I can assure you the money I spend on a truck will not line the pockets of Ford Motor Company in the future. I know my claim alone is not enough to make a difference, after all it's FORD MOTOR COMPANY, one of the if not the largest motor vehicle company in the world. They have all kinds of money. Well they have received the very last dollar from my pocket on anything of their products.

    Sure they have some nice looking cars/trucks. But that alone is not enough. I have other cars here with half a million miles on them, yes literally half a million miles and not once, not one time ever have they ever blown a plug out of the motor. And for a company the size of Ford to sit and do nothing, well that's just unacceptable to me. I am 100% interested in anyone's class action lawsuit that they may put together, and I’ll make sure I spread the word in any forum, car boats or the like about the ongoing problem with FORD MOTOR COMPANY. We live in the age of internet, to have a problem like this and do nothing, well it's a time bomb. Sure the company will carry on and probably never hear or see my issues but I can assure you that there are thousands of people that will. Thank you and I apologize to any other ford owner's experiencing the same as I have. It just plain sucks. I can be reached **. Thank you for your time.

    2012 Ford Escape - Paint is peeling on both left and right rear wheel wells and the surface is starting to rust. When I reported problem to Ford Dealer they told me to get a repair estimate. I did and they told me they would have to submit it to Ford for approval. They said if I had purchased rust proofing it would have been covered. My position is that if the paint had not peeled there would be no rust. This problem has been identified on many other reviews and at the body shop where I obtained the estimate. I am prepared to take this issue to our provincial auto ombudsman if Ford does not take responsibility.

    I own a small construction company, specializing in interior renovation work. I have an aging (2004) Ford Econoline 250 with over 100,000 miles. To avoid possible expensive repair work and to ensure I had a reliable vehicle, I paid a $3000.00 deposit to order on a new Transit on 2/16/15. The vehicle arrived at Paramus All American Ford the end of April. It was incorrect. The salesman who was knowledgeable and helpful tried to find the right vehicle in the area, but could not. He had inadvertently ordered the Transit with a medium roof and not the low roof I had requested. On 5/8/15, I had to reorder it and the salesman said that production had improved and that I should get it in June. In the meantime, the brakes on my current van failed and I had to spend $1,200.00 for new brakes.

    The van did not arrive in June and it did not arrive in July. The salesman suggested I call Ford to seek compensation. I spoke to a customer rep on 6/7 who said the van was due in this month (today in fact) and would not offer any reimbursement for the money I spent on repairs or time waiting. I spoke to a supervisor yesterday and had a similar conversation. It has been 6 MONTHS! Ford has my $3000.00 and I don't have the vehicle. I wanted to buy American and have been a loyal Ford customer. This is their 'customer service'? Terrible. I am at my wits end.

    I have bought my Ford Ecosports from Elite Ford, Bangalore on 03-March-2015. On 2nd Aug 2015 (Sunday) when I was driving in Bangalore, it has started giving vibration and stopped in middle on the road. Somehow I managed to take the vehicle to service center with help of Ford roadside assistance. The next day (Monday) when I met to service center people, the response I get from Elite Ford was worst. They were not concerned about my vehicle condition and my sentiment on my loved vehicle. They simply tried to wash their hands by blaming my driving capability, without considering my prior driving experience. Seems they were very happy to see my vehicle in that conditions. Within 30 min they made the estimation for 15000 and sent to mail for my approval and also I am getting calls from them every day for my approval to start the repair. I have below concerns on my vehicle and Ford India.

    1. How the clutch will worn-out within 3-4 months (4000 KM). Is the vehicle is that sensitive?
    2. Is there any different style of driving for Ford vehicles?

    3. As Ford assured for 2 years warranty, I am very much eligible to get my vehicle corrected from you, why you people (Ford/Elite Ford) are trying washing your hands by blaming customers driving capabilities.

    4. If it continuously giving the same problem, how can I maintain the vehicle for long time. Is it punishment for us for choosing the great Ford car.
    5. If the same case happened to any other important parts (Engine/GearBox), what we have to do with that vehicle.

    6. If the same happened after 3-4 months, what to do. Is it possible to maintain the vehicle.

    My F150 has 62000 miles. My service light came on and said transmission malfunction. Took to dealer very same day. After almost a month to repair because Ford dealer/Ford regional manager could not find the parts to repair the transmission, could not find the parts in the Ford system throughout the US. Picked up truck on a Saturday at a cost of $1200 and returned on Sunday. The transmission kept shifting between gears and when I stopped at a traffic light and then accelerated, it would race and then engage with a jolt. It has so far been TWO months and I still do not have my truck. I will never buy another truck from Ford again. All they have done is run you around in circles until you get exhausted and quit. The only good thing is they gave me a loaner two weeks after they took my truck so I don't have to rent a car anymore.

    I have a 2010 XLT with the paint blistering down to bare metal on both sides of the truck. (pictures attached) I am seeing this on many of the trucks of this vintage in my town and they all look very similar. Ford won't do anything about this unless there is a perforation right through. This is clearly related to the paint not being prepped properly. I also had to have the bonnet on this truck painted after 6 months after buying it new because it was blistering behind the edge of the grill. I had a 1998 xlt with 300K on it and I drove it until 2010. The driving conditions were exactly the same and the paint had no issues. I had a guy at Ford tell me on the QT that some people are drilling holes in the problem area and letting it rust to get around Ford's policy and fix it. I didn't want to do this so I talked to the dealer, contacted national reps from the US and Canada on this forum.... Big fat nothing.

    So... after 24 straight years of driving nothing but Ford trucks my new Ram will be here on Friday. IMO Fords quality has gone down and their policy on paint sucks. Sour grapes, you bet!!! Please reply if you have paint problems. I think this is a widespread problem Ford should be dealing with. Get out your drills boys if you want this fixed.

    I have a 2012 Ford Focus. About three or so months ago I got a letter in the mail about a known issue with the trans control module. I've been saying for about a year now that my transmission has had issues. All service people kept telling me my car is fine. So I get this letter and make an appointment. Ok easy enough. I drop my car off and get a call back saying that is the issue and a part was ordered. They set me up with a rental then the hell began. Midweek still no part. Week later still no part. Two weeks then three. The dealership had my car over a month!!! Still no part. I get a number for Ford customer relations and give them a call after being told I would speak to a supervisor I get a voicemail for one Jeffrey **.

    Hoping for answers on what's going on. He calls me the following Monday even though I didn't leave a message initially because I was so mad I was lied to and he ended up leaving a message on my cell. I call him back THREE times and leave THREE messages and does this guy call me back?!! NO HE DOESN'T. Needless to say his lack of responsibility as a supervisor was the last straw. I ended up I king up my car. Now over two months later the part is finally in. The big kicker. Ford REFUSES to get me a rental for that fix. So now I'm stuck finding a way to and from work on a Monday. I will never ever work with Ford again. As soon as I can get out of this car I'm gone and I've already told as many people that will listen to stay away from Ford. The WORST customer service I have ever had to deal with.

    I have a 2008 Edge SEL, awd with 97000 that the axle bearing went bad. The bigger problem is you have to replace the front drive shaft assy. Not just a bearing. It has been in the shop for 1 week waiting on the parts so what does that tell me? There is an issue known but not announced public. From what I hear it is problem with these models and if so what does it take for Ford to make a recall and admit there is a quality issue? I am a Ford man all the way but have 2nd thoughts now. Had the car for 4 years and did love it but not anymore. I work for a tier 1 supplier to Ford and we fess up our issue and so should Ford.

    Purchased a used Ford Freestyle 2007 model. Leather sunroof, six-disc CD changer, third-row seats with 50k miles. After my PT cruiser started going dead from a Turnersville Kia dealership in NJ. I experienced no issues with the car at first. At 160,000 miles the vehicle begin doing things like jerking while I'm driving and it's accelerating forward when my foot was not on the accelerator. I was told it was due to a dirty throttle body. Within three months of this happening on my way home from work on the highway, the vehicle all of a sudden would not accelerate after stopping in traffic. I had the car towed and was told by a trusted mechanic it was my transmission. Every other mechanic I took the car to get a second opinion also said that exact thing, it is the transmission.

    Apparently the type of transmission Ford put in this car (SVT) not only sucks in regards to quality but also is incredibly difficult to rebuild or to put a new one in. My total cost to put in a new transmission would be somewhere around $6000, the car is only worth $3000. It sits in the driveway right now. I will never again buy another Ford.

    I faced several safety-related issues with a FORD FUSION 2012. When I submitted a request for repurchase/replacement under the Lemon law, Ford agreed to repurchase/replace a lemon I purchased back in May 2012. I was negotiating the replacement option when FORD decided to cancel the offer. When I spoke to an attorney, they told me that the due date for filing under the lemon law had passed and hence, I was not eligible for an arbitration process under the Lemon law.

    I was told that FORD had essentially dragged the process to make my claim fall outside the Lemon law window and now I am forced to hire a private attorney to file a lawsuit. The attorney I spoke with advised that this can get very expensive if FORD decides to fight it, as they have a lot of resources. As a consumer, I feel cheated by this company - first when I was sold a lemon and then when they cancelled their offer for no apparent reason. This is just an abuse of the system.

    1st was given wrong price, then was told was not able to use my part but did anyway. Truck was returned 1st for leaking antifreeze, then oil and then both. After being told no rental was available for days, I finally just left it there (yes mad as hell I was paying cab after paying 400+). When I came to pick it up was told they wasn't going to fix it cause the part wasn't purchased by Ford! Part had been taken off 4 times by Ford and now they say its defective! The part that I was told wouldn't be used! Lynn response after many calls not returned "your car is old you just need to replace it", my response "you are old, does that mean Ford needs to replace you?" She hung up and will not return calls!

    I purchased my car brand new in 2011. I was excited, it was my first new car and I spent a lot of time researching cars. Within a few months I noticed that the car began to shake and vibrate and shudder real bad, especially in lower gears. It got worse and worse so I brought it in. Ford "fixed it." It was fine for a few months then it began again. This time it was worse, even stalling out when crossing intersections when my kids were in the car. This frightened me and I reported it. They found nothing wrong with it. It was still doing it so I brought it back in and demanded someone drive it until they felt it and fixed it. On two other occasions it has been brought in and "fixed."

    The letter Ford sent out stating that this is "normal" is bogus because it doesn't always do it especially right after a fix. The car is shaking and shuddering again. I also noticed that when I stop at lights or in my not so steep driveway the car rolls back significantly. Extending the warranty does not make the car safe. Now I have a recall notice that says the doors can break open while I am driving and the part to fix it is not available but I will be notified when it is. This car needs to be taken off the road!

    I will be in touch on my way back from BC in a week or so. Today probably not a good day to deal with this. Last week on Thursday may 21 my 2000 Ford v10 Coachmen would not start. As a former truck driver I tried everything I could think of. Had to electrical. The engine would roll over but not ignite. Checked every fuse I could find. I then called Cypress Ford and explained what I thought was the issue and was told to try somewhere else as they had no bay for this. I called the company, they referred me to only to have them tell me to call Ford Customer Service which they in turn called Cypress Ford while I was still on the line and tell me to have it towed to Cypress Ford. These calls are recorded and someone in that building took that call and authorized it.

    When we reached there however, with tow truck and motorhome, I was told that I was already told not to bring this here. Only after tow truck driver intervened did the service guy retract his version and Ok’d for motorhome to be dropped and he would have technician take a look later. A nice young lady called me later to tell me Ford had determined the fuel pump was gone and would have to get one from Edmonton I think. She also informed me they found a service guy locally to replace fuel pump because he had the facility to do this type of repair and would be jobbed out to him.

    Friday, we had the motorhome towed to j&j's Roadside Service and told pump would be here sat am. That didn't happen as truck bringing parts broke down and told that truck would be in Sunday. Picked up pump myself and helped this guy install on Monday. Only to find it wasn't the pump at all. This service guy Kent called Cypress 2-3 times and told technician off today but would try and locate him. We needed someone with electrical knowledge of Ford v10 ignition but got no help. Finally about 4:30 he found the problem. A 25 cent fuse. How about that. So here is the issue I have pump not needed $801. Bill for service guy you sent me to, $1341. Bill for motel, $521. Bill for car rental, $150. So it cost me over $2800 for a 25 cent fuse.

    I want to hear what Cypress Ford has to say as far as covering this. The call at Ford customer service was recorded and clarifies what I said here. I have no interest in stopping to-day to debate who did what. Not the money. Understand I will get it back. You can reply to this e-mail if you like as I will be forwarding on to Ford. I own and operate my own business back home in NB and have made errors myself but I always make them right no matter what it costs.

    Ford is refusing to fix our 09 Escape's power steering issue after issuing a NHTSA recall in July 2014. (14S05) At the time of recall our car didn't have any problems. Ford took the cheap way out and reprogrammed the steering module which fixed nothing. It was a way for Ford to clear our VIN number from the NHTSA recall list. 10,422 miles after the reprogramming the power steering failed. Ford says it's now our problem and we have to pay to fix the car. $1,327.90. The car is now showing trouble code B1342 and needs it's steering column replaced. If you are having the same problems please report it to NHTSA ASAP. They are investigating Ford for not fixing their recalls. As of right now they have 122 complaints.

    Recently my car was smelling like gas, so we pulled it out of the garage for a day not sure if that was actually the problem. Again after leaving it in the garage over night the smell was very strong of gasoline. We took it to a shop right up the street thinking that maybe it was a gas filter issue but once they lifted the car up it was clear that there was a gas leak at seam or the half full level as described by the automotive technician. We were referred to the Ford dealer. We called the dealer who informed us that there was a recall on the gas tank for this vehicle and to bring the car in. I paid over 80 dollars to have the car towed to Avis Ford in Southfield, Mi. from Belleville, Mi. Only to be told that there was a mistake and that the 2009 Edge was not included in the recall.

    After doing further research I have found that many Ford models from 2007-2014 have had gas tank leak issues. Manufacturer related not customer related damage to the tank. It frightens me to think that something as important as the gas tank should EVER leak because of manufacturer NEGLIGENCE and then when addressed with the dealer, the same dealer that my family has purchased 6 cars from that I would be told it wasn't covered. So when does the recall actually go into effect on a car/part? Does it take us dying or being seriously injured to create a recall on something as serious as a gas tank? I travel with an infant in my backseat 5 days per week and cannot imagine a gas related fire in my car with a baby in a 5 point restraint car seat and being able to get them out safely in an event such as that. I have always purchased my vehicles based on safety ratings first, but I guess the Ford built Edge is a hoax for customers like me.

    Prior to today's car problems, I had my car into Avis Ford several times for transmissions problems. Gear slippage within the first year of ownership and continuously over the years. They could never find anything wrong with it. The problem got so bad that I took the car to Precision Tune on 8 mile where the Master Mechanic said my transmission was bad, the fluid inside was black and take it to the dealer and I would need a new transmission. I went to the dealer and my car was still under warranty. I showed them the Info from the shop I had just came from. They kept the car a few days, said it was just a leak. They repaired the so called leak and said I did not need a new transmission.

    Few months pass and I return to the dealer with the same issues and I am no longer under the warranty. I'm then given an estimate of $4600.00 worth of transmission related work. I feel like I've been sold a $ 40,000.00 LEMON and only have 60,000 miles on it. Sadly I will never buy another vehicle from Avis Ford nor suggest anyone I know to either. I have decided to notify the BBB, the NTSB and whatever agencies govern these issues.

    I have two recalls on my 2013 Fusion. I asked the dealership and customer service if I would be provided a loaner car if the repair took more than four hours. I was told that Ford does not provide loaners for either recall. This is totally unacceptable. Ford has sold me a defective vehicle and now to add "insult to injury", they are telling me it is my responsibility to provide transportation for myself due to this defective vehicle. I am paying a car note to drive a vehicle, now I will either have to pay for a rental or inconvenience someone else and pay them for their gas. How does Ford think I should be responsible for additional costs because they sold me a defective product? I have informed the dealership and customer service that I will never purchase another Ford product because of this.

    Fiesta ST - I felt intermittent "squeaking" and occasional friction in mine and deeply regret not taking it to the dealer the moment I noticed it. Obviously something was defective from the start and now I'm bumming rides from friends to work and borrowing my ex's car to get my kids to and from their summer camps. To make matters worse, the car's been dead in the none-too-helpful dealer's repair shop for three weeks. Pretty frightening episode, too, since the car stopped dead on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago with heavy 60 MPH traffic and no shoulder.

    Called 911 who dispatched a tow truck but it was a tense fifteen minutes of desperately waving unsuspecting drivers around my dead Ford. It's a nice car: good performance and practical, but if the manufacturer doesn't back what they sell better to buy from a more reliable brand like Honda, Toyota, Mazda, or Subaru who have all served me well in the past.     I was driving down the freeway when there was a noise as if a gear had shifted and then the car stopped responding to the gas pedal and kind of went into neutral with no power. I was lucky I was close to an exit, so I took that and went off to the side but a line formed behind me. Luckily no one hit the car because there are so many who get off the freeway at high speeds. I called the local Ford and they said they will take a look tomorrow. Car is about 3 years old.

    At the beginning of June I was lucky enough to notice that one of my doors was not closing before I left my parking spot. I had the car towed in to a Ford service center and was expecting it to have it fixed within a couple of days. I mean it is just a door latch (which they made out of PLASTIC by the way). After a few days of waiting I find out that they want to hold onto the car until at least September, for some reason they don't have this simple part anywhere in stock. That's at least 3 MONTHS without a car that I am paying monthly and they are offering some rental car reimbursement for a small compact car which is only about $30 a day and I think the cheapest rental car is $35, nowhere near the value of the car I am leasing from them.

    If it was only for a week or two then I would have no problem with that. I have called them numerous times in order to work something out, maybe get the same value car rental compared to the one I am leasing, but they don't want to do anything. The customer means NOTHING to this company. You are absolutely 0 to them. As long as they are getting money from you they don't care how you are being inconvenienced.

    I had the pleasure of speaking to the regional manager of Ford in NY and she was utterly useless. The first time she called she couldn't even locate the car after I gave her the VIN and the dealership where the car is located. The second time she called she basically told me she can't do anything using her "resources", another word I heard thrown around while on the phone with them. It's like they work on favors. She made it sound like I should feel privileged that they are even offering me a rental in the first place. She told me that the dealer can use their "resources," again this word, and try to get the part faster or something. They are basically making me call everyone for them instead of them solving the issue. It's not my job do that, it's theirs. It's the reason why they get paid.

    In my opinion this person gets paid for no reason and her job should be given to someone else that can actually help the customer. So to review: stuck 3 months without a car I am paying for, Ford is offering a partial reimbursement for a rental, Ford regional manager is useless (she does anything but manage). I will never in my life consider buying/leasing a Ford product again (including Lincoln).

    My husband and I were watching a movie in Virginia Beach and are from Atlanta so we were visiting, and the phone kept buzzing. We knew no one in Virginia had our number so we went outside and answered the call. It was the VA Fire Dept. THE TRUCK (Ford F150 2006) was on FIRE. Now we had been in the movie for 2 hours and add an additional 45 minutes walking in the mall. So the truck had sat for almost 3 hours. What a waste. Now we're waiting on FORD to tell us what's next.

    I have a 1999 Ford crown Victoria with only 50000 miles, and was charged over 800 to fix a 100 part in the air conditioning because the dash had to be pulled out at a Ford dealer. How can I obtain any money from Ford for this outrage.

    I recently bought a 2003 Ford F350 6.0 PowerStroke from a private Seller that only sold the truck because of a loss of work. I bought the truck nice with only 92,000 miles on it and it ran well and was very clean. However, I didn't drive it a few hundred miles before lots of white smoke blew out of the exhaust. My gauges were all reading normal and ALL of the fluids were full. I was driving the truck from Colorado to NY when this happened trying to get my family back home. I stopped and NO ONE could tell me what was wrong. Again, no warning lights yet. We stay overnight there and the next morning when I tried to start the truck an engine light came on. I immediately took it two miles down the road and had it hooked up to a diagnostic machine. Again, no one could tell me exactly what was wrong and could only guess as to what it was.

    The truck was running fine at this point. I had to get the truck looked at and the only place open on a holiday weekend was a 24 hour garage, the problem was it was about 30 minutes away. I tried to get it there but it started blowing a lot of smoke and got loud. We had it towed and had to wait two days for a Ford dealer to look at it because the tow truck operator didn't trust the 24 hour garage, in fact I found out they had bad reviews also. Anyway, once Ford opened and diagnosed the truck, they said that the Glow Plug had melted in half and fell into the engine causing catastrophic damage to the engine. I couldn't believe this! I told them how everything happened and the guy said that by the time the light came on the engine had probably been already damaged to the point to where it now needs to be replaced!

    I paid 13,000 for the truck and I am being told I need 17,000 to replace the whole engine now. I called the Ford Motor Company and told then the same thing but they said that because of the age of the truck there was nothing they could do to help me! Not even give me a loan to get it fixed. I was desperate and NO ONE was willing to help get my truck fixed. You would think a Corporation like Ford would take a little responsibility in what happened here! No lights came on before the engine was apparently damaged beyond repair!!

    I brought my 2011 Fusion in Freeway Ford-Bloomington, MN on 5/12/15. My driver side door would not open from the inside. The door handle assembly was broken. I have no complaints about the way the dealership did business. They were courteous, professional, and upfront about the whole repair. I have a problem with the fact that the car is less than 5 years old, and the door handle assembly breaks, and it is not covered under warranty? I spent $242.00 for the repair. I don't believe that this is something that I was at fault for misusing.

    Purchased a 2015 Transit Connect XLT for our business at the end of December. Put on the road mid-January. March 18th the truck made a large noise and then died. We had it towed to the Ford Dealership where we purchased it. The dealership spoke to Tech Support for Ford.. Did a few things suggested and nothing worked. No one could/can give me a date about when it will be fixed. A new part was "accelerated" with no time frame delayed twice. The truck is sitting at the dealership. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE has been USELESS. Their only answer is "part is accelerated".

    I then went onto corporate website and emailed Tier 1 support who referred me back to the People I had been speaking too. The Service Reps that have never had called to tell us what is going on. No One Cares. No one can tell us when the part is due in. This week the Dealership took the part Ford was hoping would fix the truck from another truck and still it is not fixed. Again, no follow up from Customer Service. We have 6 Ford Trucks and have never had a problem. I will have to think long and hard before we will purchase another after this experience.

    The rear spoiler weather strip that is between the spoiler and the roof line on my 2008 Edge has deteriorated and needs to be replaced. After a trip to a local dealership and a call to Ford Corporate I am still in disbelief as to what I was told. The weather strip is not available to purchase alone. The only way it is available is the purchase an entire spoiler assembly. YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! Instead of a $10 weather strip I need to shell out $800. FORD - YOU NEED TO STEP UP AND REMEDY THIS!

    Friday, May 1, 2015 approximately 4:30 am - I woke up to someone pounding on my front door yelling, "your truck is on fire!" Sure enough, there it was engulfed in flames. The fire department arrived about 4:45 am and put it out. I parked it the previous night around 9:30 pm. Truck: 2001 Ford Lariat, crew cab. Thanks.

    I was asleep and my husband took our son to school which is a mile away. He gets home and starts to get ready for work and someone came to our door to tell us his truck was on fire. He went outside, turned on hose and called 911. We had to evacuate our kids and animals to the backyard. My brother’s motorcycle which was parked next to the truck also caught fire. Melted our garage door and luckily firemen got here before it hit our house. This is insane and Ford should take responsibility for this as it could have killed someone or caught our home on fire.

    The Ford Edges and Explorers have an issue with the bushings on the front struts. I called around to dealers and it is not uncommon for these struts to "clunk" and need replacement with under 40000km. I took my car in 4 days after the 3 year warranty had run out, mainly due to my schedule not allowing me to get it in earlier. I work and the nearest dealer is an hour away. Of course the dealer could do nothing about it, but did admit that this problem was VERY common, in fact it was properly diagnosed by the service manager before it even hit the shop.

    I have made contact with the Ford customer service center and was told that there was nothing to be done, but to save my receipt in case of a recall, at which point I would be reimbursed... really, why not just fix the problem. It seems to me that if they value you as a customer (15 new vehicles in the last 30 years) they would have the fortitude to stand up and show it. The customer service center is really not run by the Ford Company, the warranty is contracted out to a third party, and is treated as such. I was told on the phone and in emails that no person at the Ford motor company could review my complaint and make the decision to cover the DEFECT under warranty.

    Once the warranty has expired, there is nothing that ANYBODY in the entire Ford company could do to help me. What a load (full load) of BS. I really don't care about the $300 that the DEFECT fix will cost me, it is the principle involved... sometimes you have to look beyond the wording of a document (warranty) and do the right thing. It seems a shame to end a 30 year relationship with Ford vehicles over this, but end it must. I am disappointed in the way that this company is run... the idea of a third party warranty system and customer service. I guess that to them I am just one person in millions... I can only hope that my story helps a few others along the way to make the best decision in upcoming vehicle purchases.

    First gas mileage, was told it would get 28-30 mpg, actual gas mileage was 22.8 mpg. The radiator fans went out at less than 10k miles, under warranty ford fixed the fan. I was in Houston and live 120 miles away, would not give a rental car. I own a chevrolet and the dealer in louisiana always provided a rental with warranty work. Now my door ajar light in on and they say the switch is bad. There are no recalls on it, but people are trying to get it recalled. It has happened so much. Now it has 44k miles and it will have to be fixed out of my pocket. I have extended warranty but it is 250 ded.

    Need to know the review of used Ford Escape, 2013. Had bought Ford Fiesta in 2012, and eventually, Ford bought it back as a lemon. Put the money in the bank, and loaned dtr 5K to buy 14 Ford Taurus. A mistake, so far, a new windshield is needed, deep scratches need repair (dealer trying to get out of that one). This dealer has sold my family more than 5 cars. Maybe this is the year I change dealers.

    2011 Crown Victoria - At 40K miles the vent control module stopped working. At the same time the cigarette lighter and 12 volt accessory plug started experiencing intermittent power failures. I had the dealer check out both problems and they said it would cost $1000 to replace the vent control module (plenum) and air box. They could not find any electrical problems with the cigarette lighter and accessory plug.

    I had my mechanic replace the plenum and air box for $850. Parts were $350 and the Ford dealer had 20 plenum's and air boxes in stock. Seems Ford knows there is a problem with these units and they keep plenty in stock. It's a quick money maker for them it seems. Electrical problem - I tested the cigarette lighter and found that there was a problem with the ground wire. I removed the drink tray to get to the wiring and discovered that ground wires had been connected using a flat wire connector. Over time the wires were so flattened by the connector that they had broken off. I removed the flat connector and re-connected the wires using a standard round crimp connector. Problem solved.

    The Crown Victoria's have been produced by Ford for over 10 years and you would assume that most problems would have been resolved during that time. Unfortunately, it seems that Ford keeps using cheap parts in their vehicles and the owners of these vehicles will constantly be on the hook for repairs. No wonder ford sales continue to decline.

    Ever since I purchased my 2014 Ford Fiesta there has been an annoying problem. This problem is that no matter what gas station I use, what nozzle they have on their pumps or if I hold the nozzle or put on the automatic fill it "spits back" fuel. There are many concerns about this "System" problem. First, it dribbles gasoline down the paint and sometimes sprays gas onto my clothing. Secondly this is a waste of gasoline. More importantly, if all Ford products with this wonderful system do the same thing with each fill-up how can this be good for our environment? I have talked with several people at the dealership where I purchased this vehicle with no satisfaction.

    If fact, I have been told that I must be using the wrong gas station and I was given a handout about the variety of nozzles and which were OK and which were "BAD" ones. It was said that perhaps I was not filling the tank properly! And then I was told by the Dealership Owner that all Ford Products had this wonderful system and no others were complaining. I find that very hard to believe!!! Am I really the only one with a car with this defect???

    I purchased a leased returned 2013 Ford Edge. Within a few months of my purchase my compressor "came apart." Their warranty is 3 year/36,000 mile warranty is transferable... but it is 3 years from the original delivery date. I was 19 days past the 3 years of delivery date and Ford was unwilling to honor or work with me on the part failure. Take this posting as an FYI.

    I was told it would cost me $972 to replace a water pump. WTF is that. I would feel better if they would have pulled a gun out to rob me instead. That is crazy. How much are mechanics making an hour? The parts were less than $200. The remaining was the cost for labor. I refused the repair and was charged $90 for an inspection. I will get the neighborhood mechanic to do it for less than $100. Ford has lost their mind and my Ford will be up for sale as soon as the repairs are complete.

    Five days after buying the 2015 Explorer, the remote keys wouldn't work, the tire sensors keep coming on and off and the HVAC goes either goes on or turns off no matter what the dials say. Took it back to dealer and they changed a module but problem still exists. First month we had the car, it was in the shop 19 days. Still isn't fixed and dealer says Ford won't and can't fix the problem. Spent over $30,000 for a car I'm afraid will fall apart. Moral of this story --- DON'T BUY A FORD.

    Went to get a oil change at dealer, a scheduled maintenance (I didn't have a appointment). Was told that I had to have one. I asked if I could leave it and pick it up that later that day or pick it up the next day. They made me a appointment for the next day for a oil change and tire rotation. That was in the service agreement that was prepaid. Had my better half pick the truck up. She was charged for the service. Called them the next business day, a Monday, asked how we can fix this. They return the call telling me that I need to come back for the rest of the service and I would have a check. I took it back, was informed that I have a appointment for a tire rotation, but don't know nothing about a check.

    Talked to the service manager by phone, was told she had no idea about this that she would bring it to me. I told her that I will not be in town, to give me a call back on Monday. NEVER got a call back. I had to call them. I was told that the general manager will call me back, that didn't happen. Got a call that they needed my address, gave it them. Got another call 4 days later. Have check, but not signed. I told them that if don't have this in my hand by Monday, I will see a 3rd party on this. This individual out of his own pocket brought it to me. I told him, "THIS DEALER GIVES FORD A BAD NAME." But I want to make others aware of this establishment and this is not the FIRST time I have had problems with this dealer, BUT IT WILL BE MY LAST.

    Driving yesterday at 80 km/h, when huge thumping noise started. Thought that my right rear tire had come off. Stopped immediately, tire was still on. Got a couple of my mechanically minded friends to look at the vehicle, they thought it might be the hanger bearing on the 2 piece drive shaft that had failed.

    I drove it at 3 km/h to a local garage about 5 km away to diagnose it. They suggested that they replace the entire drive shaft with another where the u bolts and the hanger bearing can be replaced. Apparently, the engineering design of the 2008 Ford F150 drive shaft is such that the hanger bearing cannot be replaced, that switching out the entire drive shaft is the only remedy. My concern is that a drive shaft failing after only 33,000 km is extraordinary. And Ford Canada should be willing to do something to help their customer.

    In 2012, we had 3 coils replaced. Later that year, one of those coils had to be replaced again, this time at Ford's expense. In 2015, we started having the same problems. Took the car to Courtesy Ford in Sanford, Florida. This is where we purchased the car. They told us there was an extended warranty but it was expired. So we had all the remaining coils replaced. Now, a month or so later, we are having the same problems.

    What I want to know is...why did Ford issue a temporary extended warranty yet continue to put the same defective coils in the cars? I've checked online and see others are having the same problems. Can someone tell me why Ford is NOT fixing the problem? We are loyal Ford owners but this is pushing us away from Ford. I do not expect a reply to this. I think Ford no longer cares about these issues unless someone is killed due to their faulty equipment and parts.

    2015 Fusion Energi Titanium - During the entire sales process, I had sales staff and service staff would lie to make sure the sale went through. After I bought the vehicle, I found damage on several parts of the vehicle and they stated they would take care of it. I came back to have the vehicle fixed before they put on a sealant coat on exterior and interior that I paid extra for at time of sale. I came back after the service person James called me and told me it was perfect with all damage gone. I show up to find out the vehicle damage was not taken care of and I ask ** to come look at the vehicle damage personally. He admits he never looked at the damage before or after it was fixed.

    I schedule the vehicle to have the driver's side painted to solve a gouge that went to the sheet metal. The vehicle is brought in and all problems are solved. I needed to call the auto shop to have status updates on my vehicle. ** would give answers with no basis in fact and every communication he would change the times/days when the vehicle would be ready. The vehicle will be going back in four weeks to have the sealant replied post vehicle paint curing.

    I have had nothing but problems with the Future Ford Roseville dealership. The problem is I am 500 miles away from the dealership and I cannot show up in person. Every time I try to contact people, I have the I will call you back or have that person call you and I have waited more than four business days on multiple occasions for a response. I traded in a vehicle and they took and additional four days to get in touch with VW Credit to find out the pay off amount. I have waited now seven days for financing to talk with me at the dealership. I have left voicemails daily on work phones and personal cell phones with still no response. I need help!!!!

    They offered me $100 to call the damage fine with a gouge going through all layers of paint. They even told me they would take care of me if I put in perfect scores on the surveys. I am offended at the $100 to go away and asking me to falsify records to make the dealership look good in Ford's eyes. Then having the gall to say they will take care of me if I lie as they have constantly lied to me. I need someone from Ford Corporate to investigate my allegations to find the truth of the matter. They are willing to refuse to contact me when I need help and are more than willing to constantly, lie to me. I even asked to return the car in the first 200 miles/48 hours and I would wait for another car to come in that was not damaged. I just want a new car and want to enjoy my new car. I have owned the car for two weeks and it was in my possession for only four days so far.

    I'd purchased a slightly used ford fusion but upon the garages inspection they hadn't bolted the calipers in place so it was being fixed. I had a loan of Taurus I was hit head on by a jeep grand Cherokee and it ran over the driver’s side of car, spun me around, tore their own tire completely off wires wheel and all but didn't even crack the windshield or dent the hood. There were tire tracks directly in from of my line of vision. I'm glad the airbag blocked the view of underside of it. I did shortly after purchase an expedition smaller vehicles I'm nervous in but do believe if I'd had a different manufacturer the outcome would have been significantly worse.

    Truck has 40,000 miles on the odometer when it had a reading on dash panel that said service advance trac, also the turn signals would not work, took it to Ford service dept where they performed pin point test - found an internal fault in the power steering control sensor. Steering gear assumable needs to be replaced (this power rack is a 12volt system). They want $1,325 to replace. Ford has a better idea, called job security.

    Ford Freestar - Had car inspected 1/24/14 & had rear struts put on...no problem. Took my car in 1/2015 & when brakes where being put, guy noticed large hole in wheel well. There is a recall for this part and Ford said the corrosion is too large to fix under the recall.

    We purchased a 2015 Ford Explorer in Sept 2015. And now come January/February the seats are taking on the color of our clothes. The interior is a tan. I trying to find whom to contact it b/c Customer service number was of no help. The dealership told me this is a known issue. Then why is this not a recall? We love the car BUT this is almost enough for me to trade. The car was way too expensive for this to be a issue. Any suggestions will help.

    May of 2012 we purchased a brand new Ford f150. Less than 2 years later (before 50000 miles) we noticed the check engine light and airbag light came on. Took it in and got charged to do diagnostic test $75 with a warranty. Ford told us someone has to get paid for the work. Results were a fuel sensor. Our gauges are off. We can have a full tank of gas and it says empty and even alarms us. We can be driving and put the truck in neutral, turn it off and on and it will then give a reading. The check engine light is not always on and same with the airbag. Never got a reason for the airbag. The Ford mechanic claims there are no problems.

    We even had an experience once while driving we noticed smoke coming from under the driver's seat and smelled a hot smell. We pulled over to check it out and it stopped and we found nothing wrong or signs of burning. We feel ripped off and with the mechanics claiming nothing is wrong (when we know there is). We feel cheated and endangered.

    I bought my Ford Freestyle in 2005 brand new. After the first scheduled oil change the gas control panel never registered to the f" for full again. I took it in immediately and they tried to fix it 4 times and gave every excuse even said I was going to the wrong gas station and something must be wrong with the pumps. They were aware of this problem through a bulletin and never told me until 18 months and 4 times in the shop to fix when they said the gas tank needed to be replaced. It has never filled to the "F even with a new gas tank. They were also aware of the problems with the CVT transmission for the 2005 and never made me aware of it.

    2014 I started having the engine light going on and out periodically and took it in to be diagnosed and over the last year I got a list of so-called causes from: needed to be re-calibrated, re-programmed, EGR replacement, PCV valve clogged, and finally after 3 weeks in the dealership service department I was told I needed a new transmission for $8,224.00 on this car with only 73,000 miles on it. I have taken excellent care of this car and now I have to junk it because I can't trust Ford to replace a screw much less a new transmission.

    I'm so angry that I just find out that they knowingly sold me a lemon and kept me in the dark through all kinds of repairs in order not to have to buy back this car. I sunk more than $50,000 dollars into this car and have nothing. I only wish i knew about the class action lawsuit before my warranty was up. Never again in life will I own a Ford=Fix Or Repair Daily.

    Just had my Ford F150 go up in flames while parked in the driveway. Truck was last used Saturday Morning 2/7/2015 and went up in flames 2/9/2015 at approx 4 am. Woke up to a horn going off, went into my daughter's room and looked out front of our house and saw flames 15 ft high. Told my wife to get the kids downstairs and evacuated them to the backyard. Called 911 and ran out front to move my other car out of the driveway. Thank god my neighbors came out and helped me put the fire out or things would of been much worse. Fire started in the Engine compartment and burned most of the hood off before we could put the fire out. Ford should take responsibility...This is a very serious problem and needs to be addressed immediately!!!

    We have been loyal Ford automobile/truck owners for over 30 years. Bought a C-MAX in April 2013 based on Ford's claim of 47 mpg hwy/47 mpg city. Then the truth came out and Ford said they were wrong. Ford was very nice and sent two checks totaling around $900 for their mpg mistake. Then there have been numerous recalls. We contacted the head of Ford's Extended Service Plan department in September, 2014, to request an extension of the warranty to 100,000 at no cost to us. No answer back from Mr. Michael **. Sent another letter. Again, no response. Contacted Ford's Customer Relation Center via email. Received a response back the same day. Ford's CRC asked for clarification as to what the problem was and what we were asking for. I responded three times and never heard back.

    Sent two letters to William Ford, Jr., Mark Fields, and Frederiek Toney (President, Global Ford Customer Service Division). Guess what? NOT ONE PERSON RESPONDED.....again! Was really ticked off now so on January 12, 2015 I called the number that was in small print underneath the responder from CRCFMC. Another exercise in futility. Spoke with a Debra who advised us: Ford could not and would not extend the service contract. Because Ford had sent monetary compensation for the mpg disparity there was nothing else Ford was going to do. We had waited too long to request an extension (please remember we started this process four months before speaking with Debra).

    When I asked Debra why there was never any follow-up to my three replies to the CRC emailer, Debra said the 1 800 number is in Florida and the CRC emailer was "probably" in Michigan. Debra said that essentially there is no coordination between emailing Ford's CRC and calling the 1800 number listed in the CRC's email. Isn't that a heck of a way to run a business?

    So we are done defending Ford when our friends ask us how our "FixOrRepairDaily" is. We are done buying any Ford, new or used. If we were to win a free car and it turned out to be a Ford we would donate it. In closing, we could have accepted a "sorry, it isn't happening" to our request of Ford, case over. But the non-response from anyone at Ford shows they could care less..... and now, we don't either.

    Ford PTO failures with Ford Edge, Flex, 500, and Lincoln MKX - As a manufacturer, I am really disappointed with Ford, and this will likely be my last one after being a Ford supporter for years. I have spent $1,800.00 in maintenance on this vehicle in the last 12 months on replacing the engine fan TWICE and the engine fan wiring harness. Now, another $2,800 for the PTO / PDU / transfer case and power steering rack? Thats $5,000.00 in maintenance in the last 12 months. No thank you, Ill probably trade this in on a Lexus and #lastFORDever. Ford gets zero stars. I have had a case open with Ford corporate, nothing material has been done.

    The rear strut bracket has rusted off, this is a safety issue common to this model. Replacement fender was $200.34, two weeks later it was $800.00. Ford said individual dealer prices for parts and service will vary. Therefore, we are unable to assist you, it must be resolved between you and the dealership. This should be a factory safety recall.

    My husband purchased a brand new 2014 Super Duty 250 diesel in July of 2014. He works his truck here in Alberta, Canada. He arrived at work on Jan. 7, 2015. He backed into a parking spot. He left his truck running beside the building like he does every morning. He went in the building, started coffee and then started his paper work. About 15 mins. later his boss walks in, they talk about work. About another 15 minutes later, my husband then ask his boss if he hears a horn. It was a continuous horn. As he is standing to look, another employee walks in and told my husband his truck is burning down. He runs outside to see his truck on fire and windows exploding out of the truck! The fire fighter on scene deemed no foul play. My children rode in this vehicle! This all happened with in a matter of a half hour! He was also in to Ford a few weeks earlier about his engine smelling hot and a strange ticking. Unfortunately, there was NO work order wrote up!

    Brought car to Elk Grove Ford (purchase dealer) for mileage issue. Dealer stated car obtains 37 mpg. Actual combination mileage 22 to 23. Advertised 22 city, 28 combination, 37 highway July 2014. October 2014 called for, obtained case # **. Deliver car Auburn Ford in California. Dealer stated car obtains 30 mpg. Actual combination mileage 23. After picking up the car, up to 25 combination has dropped to 20 mpg. Freeway best 27 mpg. This calculating actual from odometer and figuring mileage at the gas pump, not on board computer. Called back customer service. Told Ford does not resolve issues, the dealer does. Explained difficulty with local dealers (dealers stated no issues with car). Told that is my only option. Called back to Ford customer service. Operator forwarded to manager. I was told I would have to speak to a senior manager. There would be a call back within 48 hrs. Call back same day. I couldn't answer at that time. I called back right away. LVM. Received call back the next day.

    Senior manager stated FoMoCo does not provide estimated gas mileage, the EPA does. Ford just puts that information on the sales sticker. I attempted to explain I did not want to hear excuses. I need some assistance with the gas mileage issue. He stated I was not listening to him. I attempted numerous times to ask him what he wanted me to do. At this time, he stated I was not listening to him. I became angry and attempted to obtain his instructions. Requested a different dealer. He agreed but still stated I was not listening. I explained the car's mileage situation numerous times. Requested his assistance. He declined to provide any information to me. I attempted one last time. He stated he would not provide information, stating he would refer me to his manager within 48 hrs. The 48 hrs. have passed and no call back.

    During the conversation, I mentioned in my opinion the car is too heavy for the 1.6 Ecoboost engine's torque rating. He agreed the engine is working too hard to be efficient in this size of car. He also agreed the on-board computer is not the most accurate. But dealer's equipment is accurate. I explained I understood the mileage will be less than the rated in real life. The car has never reached even 30 mpg on the freeway, 9-hour drive travel. The rated city mileage is 22 mpg. The car's actual mileage is 20 mpg combination freeway and city. He only stated the estimated mpg is provided by the government, not by Ford.

    We took our 98 Ford F150 to the dealer nearby to get this recall fixed. We told them to look at the gas tank because it is leaking. They replied back that we would have to pay 500 dollars to fix the gas tank because it's a fire hazard. When we asked why we had to pay for it when it was caused by the straps failing they lied and said that the straps haven't failed yet and they would be fixing them. I then told them that I record all of my calls and have pictures of the gas tank resting on the shield that doesn't come standard on the F150. That is the only reason the tank didn't hit the road and cause an accident. In the pics you can see that there are no straps left. I also have a video of gas leaking out when putting gas into the vehicle. So I have tons of proof you just lied to me. The service tech said he had to talk with his manager and they would call us back. The manager said they called Ford and they will not be fixing my gas tank. I don't believe this is right and will be filing a complaint with the NHTSA.

    I had to have the intake manifold replaced on my 1997 Ford Crown Victoria LX this year, 2014. Ford has acknowledged this flaw, avoided having an official recall issued, notified their Fleet & Commercial consumers and, quietly, without any sort of notification, offered private owners a repair/repair reimbursement offer that was only in effect for 90 days. This is an outrage! I want to be reimbursed for the money I had to spend to have this repair done. ANYBODY ELSE WITH ME ON THIS?!?

    I have a 97 F150 4.6ltr. Two times now it has blown the spark plug out of the head. It was replaced the first time with a brand new head, and a year later it blew out again. I only use motorcraft plugs, I have had my catalytic converters changed to make sure they're not clogged up and it still happened again. It's coming to the point I'm fixing to scrap the truck. I don't have another 1500.00$ to put into it again. I know this has happened to a lot more people than me. Ford needs to recall and fix this issue. I've always liked Ford, especially when they didn't take the bail out money, but I'm fixing to buy a Chevy. I just lost all faith in Fords.

    The 2013 Ford Fiesta is a lemon! Ford needs to take back every one made and refund owners! I've never been so disappointed in a Ford. We've had the car in twice for transmission work and it still vibrates and drags. I've had plenty of manual transmissions and the automatic tranny in this car drags bad like a person who doesn't know how to use a clutch or shift. To top it off, we already had to buy tires for it because the cheap crap Kumhos they put on the new car already split! I won't buy another Ford product. I stood by Ford when they didn't take a buyout from the Government, but this is how they treat loyal customers... Sell them lemons!

    September 27th, 2014 my 2001 F150 started on fire. I was having dinner when I heard the neighbor screaming FIRE! I ran out to a blaze shooting out of a melted-open hole in the hood of the truck just in front of the drivers seat. I was able to contain it even before the fire dept arrived. I had not driven it in over 24 hours. After reading my "Full Coverage" auto policy and discovering that its NOT covered, I thought, I wonder if this bizarre thing has happened to anyone else.....WTF Really? This many!!!

    Our 1997 Ford F 150 was sitting in the parking lot at a near by pub caught on fire. The truck was not running and there were no mechanical problems with it at the time. Keep in mind. This happened last year in October (2013). There were 4 off duty firefighters present, and a pumper was called in.

I don't Ford will do anything about it, but they knew about this problem. I am reading online that many of these trucks self ignite and burn. That's the last Ford I will own!!

    While driving down a 4-lane Expressway, my 2011 Ford Edge accelerator pedal stopped responding. The car did not lose all power, the accelerator just went dead. The car was idling very roughly, but when I pressed on the accelerator pedal nothing happened. There was no shoulder on the road so I had to stop in the middle of the road! I am SO lucky that no one rear-ended me before I was able to maneuver off the road. I turned off the car and waited a minute or two and turned the car back on. The accelerator was working so I headed home. The car went "limp" two more times before I arrived home a couple of miles down the road. The next day my husband followed me to the dealership with his emergency flashers on. My Edge went "limp" twice on the way to the dealership. The mechanic was familiar with the problem and diagnosed a bad Throttle Body. It was replaced for about $650.00 and the car runs fine now. This problem is common and needs to be addressed before someone is killed! I thank my lucky stars that this didn't happen on a busy interstate.

    We purchased a Ford Flex less than a month ago. The Flex has less than 1000 miles. I started to have transmission problems. Got stock in the third gear. I took back to the dealer Prestige in Mount Dora, FL where we bought the vehicle trusting that the Ford Service Staff could fix it. It took two weeks until the dealer called us up to say we could pick it up. We took back home and the next day the car was presenting the same problem. I am extremely disappointed with the quality, the service, the credibility of FORD's.

    The car has to go back to the shop this Monday and I have to time frame to get my vehicle up and running. I think Ford headquarters should step up, see what can be done about this extremely dissatisfied client. I bought a new vehicle because I didn't want to have car problems. Now I can't even trust that if this vehicle gets fixed that my car problems will be solved.

    On Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 10:00pm my 2001 Ford F-150 started a fire under the hood after being parked for several hours. There was no trouble with the truck and we had just spent about $700 on maintenance services. Thank God my husband & kids were still up when they heard a loud noise outside, went to see what was going on, and found the truck in flames. The fire started to melt the vinyl siding on my house but the firefighters arrived just in time before the house caught on fire. I thank God for sparing my family and home. However, I would like to get any advice from those who has filed a case with Ford because something has to be done about these vehicles.

    Bought brand new 2008 Ford 450. Have been having numerous issues and problems with the truck. Was tricked out of extended warranty, vehicle needs $3800 in repairs and Ford is not helping. Each time I brought vehicle in for repair, I would note Ford what the issue was and they would always tell me it was something else, and after paying for their stated opinion of repair, I would still have same problem or another problem with vehicle.

    Back in about 2007 I purchased a used Ford 150 truck from a friend. The friend had the truck for two years and did not need it anymore, so I purchased it. One day my son and a friend were on a country road when I received a cell phone call that fire was coming out from under the hood. They called 911 and fire trucks were dispensed. The truck actually had a melted engine and totaled from the engine to the middle of the back of the bed. Three weeks later I got a recall notice. I only had liability so I ask my friend who I purchased it from if he had, and he said no. Ford had me send pictures to them. Their response was it was burnt so bad that determination could not be made. Once again today I get notified of the recall.

    I was scammed when purchasing a used Ford F150 2007, total of payments $48,681.36. The paper work I signed didn't have that total on it, I would have never signed for a used vehicle for that amount. That's a down payment on a house. Out of all the years of buying a vehicle I never was ever scammed. Like this, it's now 2014 still paying $6,834.64. Santander purchase my loan from Citifinancial bank. Can anyone help with this matter? I write a letter to Santander explaining this matter and they took away 3 payments that I already paid. Scammed and helpless.

    i bought a brand new right off the factory 2011 Ford Fiesta. All of the issues started after the first year at about 9000-10000 miles. I am just over 20000 miles. First the car would have problem accelerating. Took it to the shop. They just reprogrammed the transmission. That took care of it for a few months. Next during my oil change I found out that a part with the transmission was leaking so they replaced that. About 2 weeks ago my car was making odd noises and didn't know which gear to use especially at lower speeds, jerked severely when speeding up after a complete stop and wheels would just rotate before actually catching traction (tires are new) so they replaced the clutch.

    Today my car is there again because it is making a horrible metallic scratching noises when braking, turning or accelerating. They are saying my brake pads worn out (at 20000 miles) and it affected my rotor. So far I am still under factory warranty. If I was not all those repairs would probably cost me as much as the car itself. I don't want to wait till my warranty runs out and have to start dishing out money to repair a car that is still considered relatively new. I want them to replace my car or give me my money back. I am not taking that car back from the Ford service center.

    Soon after purchasing a 2010 Ford Fusion... I noticed the interior had broken seat parts and each time I attempted to put it on it wouldn't fit. The tires needed rotating... There was no bulb light when backing out. The sales person said he would order the bulb... never got one. The ignition sometimes keeps going when I turn the key... The gas hand sometimes doesn't move. My minimum down payment was $600, salesman asked for $1000 and for me to not tell anyone. My payments I was told $300 monthly. I pay $389, I cannot afford to make repairs... and car payments. Went to several dealerships about trade options... and all three said I got screwed. Car might bring $5,000-$6,000. I owe over $15,000. I appreciate the Lender giving me an opportunity to re-establish my credit. And I have also hired Lexington Law Firm for assistance. I only ask that I be given a trade option. This has been and is very stressful.

    Purchased 2012 F450 in January 2013, $53,000.00. I purchased an additional warranty that covered motor parts only 200,000 mile warranty. I have a hot shot business and needed a dependable truck. Running a lot of miles, keeping maintain 61,000 miles the air conditioning stopped working, I contacted Ford, due to miles, air conditioning was not covered, $693.00 out of pocket costs.

    3 days after the air compressor repair, the Truck started making a loud noise. It was the Turbo, Ford had my truck for over 1 month for repair, I lost my business. I parked the Truck to sell, after 5 months no sell, started business 1/14/14, under 15,000 miles later on 2/25/14 air compressor locked up. 2/27/14 Truck started making a loud noise, pulled over waited until the next morning for Ford repair to open. 2/28/14 confirmed Turbo problem, they were too busy and we needed to return Monday 3/3/14 1000 miles away from home, additional hotel costs, delivery costs and had to cancel all of our other jobs that we had scheduled.

    I had to hire another company to finish my delivery at a high cost. 3/3/14, Was told by Ford the Turbo would be repaired in 3 days. They gave us a rental car to return home, the car covered 2 days, 1200 miles to get home. 3/4/14 Ford called to see if rental car had been returned yet, and to let me know that some sensors burn would needed be replaced, out of pocket charge of $392.00. When we returned the car, they tried to charge us $146.00 because we were over the 1200 miles. We calculated for them we did not go over 1000 miles. 2/28/14, I opened a case with Ford, was called back on 3/5/14 and was told they would get us a airplane ticket to return for the truck after the repairs were complete.

    I explained about our losses, was told they could not help with any of that. I stated that I felt I should consult with an attorney and was told that this person could no longer speak to me and the call was ended. 3/12/14 no contact from Ford, I am losing business again, and there is nothing I can do? I have consulted with 3 attorneys. This is not something they can help with? I am being wronged, I spent $53,000.00 for dependable Truck I thought, now I am losing money every day that truck is not running. I have a Hugh Truck payment each month and a large Insurance payment, and Ford cannot help me. I am losing my business again. I need some help PLEASE, the truck was supposed to have the air compressor replaced 3/3/14 in Florida. It was a faulty air compressor.

    February 5, 2014, I was sent to Ford in Olive Branch Mississippi to check out the 2014 Ford Fiesta. I was on the road the next day (the car was delivered from about 40 miles away in TN). Sunday on March 2nd I was pulling into the driveway and the engine malfunctioned and vibrated continually until the engine was shut off. I cranked it up and it was fine afterwards - I assumed it was a simple computer issue. March 4, 2014 - MY BIRTHDAY. I pick my daughter up from school and break down at a four way stop on the way home. ENGINE MALFUNCTION. Shut off engine immediately. Major vibration! Roadside assistance was attentive, but couldn't get to me until 6pm.

    By this time Ford could not tell me if I was able to get a rental car or anything "until my car made it to the shop". All I wanted was an answer and a plan on getting my daughter to school the next day. I get a rental the next day, but not until about 10:30am and this is after calling all morning and being avoided. I was called to pick up my vehicle on Thursday afternoon and told that a code was ran showing problem with the throttle and the problem was WEATHER INDUCED. They reset the computer and gave me the car back. I knew this would be an issue.

    An hour after driving the car, it malfunctioned again, and once again would not accelerate or move more than a few inches. I was picked up and given a rental. I was not contacted throughout the weekend. I called Monday morning with no answer so I decided to go get some things out of my car. They told me they were just about to call me to let me know my car was ready and that they had replaced the entire throttle body. I was not happy about keeping a brand new car that already had a serious problem, but needed to catch up on all the errands. Today - Tuesday, March 11 I find myself BROKE DOWN AGAIN. I now have no rental, no car, and a booked vacation in 3 days. Happy spring break to me. I will never purchase a Ford again. Not to mention the miles put onto my car from the shop driving it as well as the gas that was not replaced.

    I had to take my 2006 Lincoln Mark LT with the 5.4 Triton motor into my local Ford Dealership to have the spark plugs replaced. I was told then that this engine had issues with these spark plugs getting stuck and breaking into two parts requiring extra time and effort to do this service procedure. The cost of a plug change was high to me at $300.00 and if a plug should break it would be $95.00 for each one extra. I've read that Ford knew of this issue and still sold this engine without change after they became aware of it back in 2004. The total cost of the repair cost me over $1300.00 for what should have been a regular simple spark plug change (had Ford used a one piece plug or redesign socket) I am willing to pay a decent fee for a spark plug replacement but I do not feel that I should have to pay for plugs that break and take extra time to extract because of faulty parts and design. I am at a loss to find any help regarding this issue.

    I own a 2006 Ford LCF truck purchased May 2007 cost $32,000.00. But after 7 years and 46000 miles, the repair and tow cost me over $17,000.00. Nov. 2009, mileage 19419 - replace starter and belt tensioner $1,600.00. Dec 2011, mileage 34983 - replace 2 fuel injector, main computer, cam sensor, crank sensor, $2,772.45. After talked to customer service the bill is $5,400.00. Dec 2013, mileage 46000 - replace all (6) fuel injector, $3,31.37 and oil pump $1,956.10.

    The truck still not fixed right. Then I brought the truck to a Ford dealer in **. They said there is another repair needs to be done. The fuel tank and whole fuel system is contaminate - will cost me $3,500.00 because the lining of the tank is contaminated and Ford Corp knows about this defect parts and doing nothing. I talked the person in charge of the commercial truck department. They said it is true about the tank, but they also say it is the oil company.

    1.27.14 - My beloved 14 year old 2001 F-150 started on fire while it sitting at my work parking lot most all day, since 10:30 am. The fire started after 4:25 PM, was seen at 4:40 PM, fully engulfed so much that it was too hot and dangerous for us (non-professional firefighters) to take the risk of trying to put out this blue-hot fire. When the firefighters go there and put the fire out, they were surprised at how hot this fire burned, so hot that it melted the hood totally, burned the tires, melted the interior back to the seats. Of course it is a total loss. I have started a case with Ford, don't know where that will go. This was such a surprise, it could have been SO MUCH worse. Had either of our sons been driving it, had it been parked close to our home or garage, had it been closer to other cars..... the list goes on and on and on. .

    I have a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer (same as Ford Explorer and now serviced by Ford). Vehicle has always been well maintained, garaged, and has low mileage of 68,000, but unfortunately I've been the victim of 3 (so far) well known "design flaws" that were not covered because I was out of warranty. Each of these has carried a substantial price tag to correct. The first was the fan motor under the dash for heat. It made a loud clanking noise and there was no heat. I was told this was a common problem and the dash had to be pulled and the fan and motor replaced.

    The next issued appeared shortly after. The back panel just under the back windshield developed a vertical crack - top to bottom close to the center. Dealer told me it was a design flaw and pushing the panel to close in a spot other than center causes this area to flex and crack. Again, well known problem but not covered. (I have since noticed at least 50% of Explorers & Mountaineers I see on the road with a crack that are of this era). Most recently, I have developed rust behind the rear passenger wheel well. I have consulted 2 body shops and they both told me "common problem with these models - usually just on one side. Design problem". This is a very expensive problem to fix, especially for a 10 year old vehicle.

    If not for these apparent common problems, I've been pretty pleased with my vehicle, but I am very frustrated with Ford that they won't stand behind and repair these things. At 68,000 miles, I would like to continue driving this SUV, but I'm afraid what could be next. I've always bought Ford products, but their unwillingness to stand behind their product concerns me.

    2007 mountaineer, 3 years of issues, dealership kept changing coils instead of checking intake manifold. Changed intake manifold and few coils that were replaced at dealership about ago. Now because of their incompetence, cost me time and money and now have two spark plugs that are oxidized and can't come out. Have to be broken. I been complaining about this going on 3 years with Ford and the dealership and no help. Enough is enough. My truck is well maintained, mint condition and I have to deal with all this ** for what?

    On 12/1/2013, I started my car (2008 Ford Fusion) and it sounded & seemed normal. However, after driving less than 2 miles, my engine suddenly decelerated and the RPMs dropped dramatically. I tried to accelerate and it would not increase speed. I was able to get off the road safely. I had to have my car towed. The mechanic determined that the problem was due to a faulty power train control module which impacts the ignition coils and the estimated cost of repair is $2100! One of my ignition coils was melted. Ford has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (which suggests replacing the power train control module & all 6 ignition coils) on this issue; however, they do not deem this a safety issue!

    Cars that just stop running or decelerate quickly is most definitely a safety issue. I can think of many scenarios where this issue could cause injury or perhaps even death. Had I been on a freeway or driving at a greater speed where there was more traffic, I could certainly have ended up in an accident with another vehicle. I researched this concern and found that I am not alone and there have many others affected by the same exact situation.

    Ford is of the opinion that this should be the responsibility of the car owner and they do not hold themselves accountable. I understand how warranties work and I realize that cars age. However, this issue has nothing to do with wear and tear or age. This is a faulty piece of equipment that is causing a safety issue when it hampers a vehicle's ability to continue in a forward motion at a normal rate of speed. Ford Motor Company should issue a safety recall...not just a technical service bulletin.

    This car has faulty door latches that can stop working at any time. I now have my two rear doors held closed with rope, handle to handle. The front driver’s side door is stopped from opening with the seat belt attached to it. The driver must hold on to the door around turns to stop it from opening. Good thing my 2001 Jeep doesn’t have these problems.

    We bought a 2011 F150 brand new. We like the truck except for the shake we have in it. Every time we use it now, it shakes & we are scared that something will happen to it after the warranty is up. The first time we towed our 5th wheel travel trailer with it, it shook. When we got back home, we went to our dealership & they were more than willing to try to help us. They got in contact with Ford Motor Company & did everything that they were told to do. WE are more than happy with our dealership but we are totally disappointed in Ford Motor Company, as they will not do anything else to fix the problem. We have been calling them for 28 months now & all they have offered us was $1,000.00 towards another new truck. We have spent more than that just traveling back & forth to the dealership trying to get help from them.

    We have had 23 Ford automobiles in the last 40 years. We have been loyal to the Ford company all of these years but I guess our Loyalty doesn't mean much to Ford Motors. Three of our trucks was well over 65,000.00. I guess this goes to show it doesn't matter how much money you give them, you are not worth the effort to help us or gives a real good deal on another truck. Oh well, maybe some other company will be better to us, as we will not be buying a new FORD TRUCK in the near future.

    This morning I get a call from my daughter to say that while taking her kids to school, she had stopped briefly to put some gas in and, while fueling the station manager and several other people rushed to her vehicle with fire extinguishers. My daughter quickly got my grandkids out and, stepped away to let the guys do their job. Once the fire was out and things cooled down a bit. it was evident that the cause was from the exhaust swelling up due to heat and pressure of a clogged catalytic converter system. Thanks, EPA IDIOTS. You nearly burned my daughter and grandkids alive due to your stupidity. Ford should recall this whole damn line of vehicles (but won't) due to costs. I would not buy a Ford nor recommend one to anyone. Automotive mechanic-20+ years.

    Cruise control is malfunctioning and it is in the year of the recall but, the VIN is not showing recall. The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration says that Ford owners should watch for all cruise control problems including cruise controls that cannot be activated or have just stopped working. Owners should also watch out for broken brake lights, brake lights and ABS warning lights on the dashboard, and not being able to get the vehicle out of park.

    Ford F-550 6.0: This engine has 23,000 miles on it. I have had to put an EGR delete kit on it pay for a gas tank problem that Ford knows is a problem. And it is still giving me problems. DOES anyone make a decent truck anymore???

    I bought a Ford Fiesta in October 2012. It was a 2013 model. At 7000 miles, my problems started. First, my transmission started to stick; my car was out of service for 9-10 days. A day or two later, it overheated, so I had to get it towed. After complaining to AutoNation, they were not forthcoming with a customer service number for me to call and complain. Finally, after emailing and calling around, I got the number to the corporate office customer service. They went to the dealership to make sure everything was being handled. I received a maintenance plan for my trouble.

    A few hundred miles later, my car overheated again. By this time, I moved to Orlando. I took my car into Greenway Ford. They had to order an oil cooler; it took Fri- Mon. So far, I have had this car in service for 15-16 days. So, I filed a complaint with BBB Auto Line. Consumer Affairs called and I told them what has been going on with this car and it's not safe. I picked up my car from Greenway and attempted to drive to Miami. Halfway there, the warning light came on: "ENGINE MALFUNCTION, SERVICE NOW!" I was horrified. I pulled over and attempted to call Ford Consumer Affairs, with no luck. It went to voice mail and I left a message. I called Customer Service and they said they could not help me because my complaint is in Consumer Affairs. So, at this point, I have to take the car in to Metro Ford in the morning. God only knows what's wrong with that car.

    Vehicle decelerates while in motion. This was my experience driving on the Interstate highway and the car dropped speed from 55-60 mph to 0 mph. With fast reaction, I pulled over to the shoulder. The car kept idling but there was no acceleration at all. After mechanical diagnosis, the throttle body is defective. It's all good electronics/mechanical parts are not failure proof. After calling several local dealers with the same response - PART ON BACK ORDER - I called Out of State dealers getting the same response. There is no recall on this matter and I wonder what is Ford waiting for - Casualties on our roadways? It sounds like Ford Has a National back order on this part. Why not recall it and make repairs on their dime, not the consumers? Thank you.

    There are at least two Ford Freestyle owners here in the small town of Boone, NC who spent over $1,200 at the local Ford Dealership to fix leaks that come in over the driver, passenger and in the back. These leaks also get into the computer system causing all the lights to come on, accelerating problems, as well as the whole car shutting down. Once, it shut down on the interstate! This is very scary, especially with 3 small children whose safety is being compromised. Contacting Ford has gotten us nowhere. With $1,200 down the drain, and the Freestyle has the same problems, I will stick to buying Hondas in the future.

    We purchased a Ford Edge for the specific reason of towing it behind our RV. The dealership assured us the transmission was built to enable us to tow it four wheels down. This part is true, but what they neglected to tell us is that the car does not charge the battery unless it is idling or being driven, leaving us with a completely dead battery after even an hour!

    After talking with the customer service at the Ford Corp... that's it. Pretty much too bad. The manual tells you to start the car after 4-5 hours of towing, which is difficult since it is dead after one hour. Ford could not even give any assistance in what could be done as far as spark plugs, trickle charger, etc. Too bad... a $27,000 mistake. I wish I had my CRV back; no problems whatsoever!

    Woke up at 1:45 AM to the sound of a horn from a car in the driveway. I thought someone was breaking into the A6, but upon looking out the kitchen door, I saw that the 2000 Ford 150 XLT was on fire. The hood was on fire, so we moved the A6 out of the way and called 911. The truck had been parked since 4:00 PM the previous afternoon, with no flammable items inside and no noticeable irregularities with the operation of the truck. We have no idea why the fire started, but the truck and the contents are a total loss.

    On Monday, 4/29/13, my wife parked the Explorer at 4PM. At 1:30AM the phone started ringing. A neighbor was pounding on our door and a fireman pounding on our bedroom window. The Explorer had started on fire on the driver's side of the engine. The fire melted everything under the hood and started the tires and driveway on fire. The fire spread to my 2005 GMC 2500, a fence, pine tree and the face of the garage. About $35k damage. I was worried the fire may have started by the new starter we put in the week before, but the fire line was above the frame and starter wires were still good. The fire inspector from St. Paul said they saw the fire in the battery and wiring area often. 3 days and Liberty is already cutting checks.

    Truck was parked in the driveway and caught fire under the hood. Local Ford dealership was aware of recall that could have caused the fire but refused to work on it. Their advice was to contact insurance company because the work that needed to be done was worth more than the truck's value.

    I own a '97 F150 ext cab 4x4 4.6. This truck has been very reliable for years; it had an engine replacement a few years back. Three and a half weeks ago, I traded in my other F150 truck that was a 2006 with a 5.4 (not too good on fuel). Now, having a more economic vehicle, I haven't driven the '97 in at least three weeks. On Thursday evening, I started the truck, let it run for 20 minutes (just to ensure the battery stayed charged), shut it off, had dinner and then went to bed about 9:30 and the truck was good then.

    I had to be into work early on Friday morning. We have had a lot of rain in recent weeks and I thought I may have to work outside. I grabbed my rain jacket from the back seat of my '97 truck at 3 am. On my way to work, the truck seemed good at that time (no burning smells). At 5:30 am, my wife called me at work to tell me that my truck was on fire in the driveway and caught the garage and house on fire. Luckily too, our wonderful neighbor that happened to wake up and look out their window had seen the blazing fire and woke up my family and got them out of the home.

    The neighbor also called 911 at that time. The local fire dept. also needs recognition to quick response. Had they been 20 minutes later, I think I would have lost my home and all of my garage. The truck is a total loss with melted radiator, hood, plenum, and all aluminum parts. The truck had a lift, tonneau cover and $1800 in tire and wheels are all gone. All the glass and interior is completely gone as well. Of course, the truck is paid for. It only had liability insurance and home insurance doesn't cover the vehicle. I'm not sure how to proceed. After reading all the other posting, it is evident that there is an issue and Ford is very aware and is turning a blind eye to the problem. I am having a fire investigator look at the fire. I guess we will see what their thoughts are about fire and Ford's ongoing issue.

    Just like everyone else here, I had a front spring (passenger's side) on my 2002 Ford Taurus break and puncture my tire at a cost of $434, plus $103 for the tire. Being a former Ford dealership parts department manager, I know that there was a Field Service Action (recall) that did not involve the company actually calling the vehicles in to have the springs replaced, but provided extended warranty coverage for vehicles that experienced problems. I personally sold over 300 pairs of springs during the last year I worked. My vehicle no longer had coverage, like many of yours, apparently because either the vehicle was too old or had too many miles. I hate that I can't remember the FSA number or the age and mileage limitations.

    Safety Concerns with Ford Motor Company - 2/16/2013: As we merged on to Lakeville Highway, Petaluma, CA we began to accelerate and the vehicle revved but would not shift out of first gear. We contacted Ford Motor Company and the vehicle was towed to Henry Curtis Ford of Petaluma. My mother-in-law drove from Brentwood to Petaluma to pick up my husband, myself, and our dog. Sales manager William said he would reimburse her cost for gas and work on a rental if they determined Ford was liable for the vehicle's issue.

    2/18/2013: Henry Curtis Ford contacted us stating the vehicle had a lot of codes they would need to weed through to determine what the issue was with the car (which is different than what the original receipt stated). Henry Curtis Ford said we could now have a rental vehicle and sent us to Enterprise. Enterprise rented us a Chevy Impala. 2/20/2013: Enterprise asked us to return the Impala and exchanged it for a Dodge Avenger. 2/21/2013: Henry Curtis Ford claimed the vehicle was fixed and could be picked up. Future Ford and Lincoln of Concord arranged to have the vehicle driven by Ford from Petaluma to Concord.

    2/22/2013: Per Future Ford of Concord, the vehicle would arrive at my work when I was off at 1:30pm so I should return the rental, which I did on my lunch break. Future Ford of Concord called to let me know the vehicle had an issue on the drive to Concord from Petaluma; it would not shift gears or accelerate. Future Ford of Concord picked me up and took me to Hertz to get a rental, a Mazda 3. I went to Future Ford to get my receipt from Henry Curtis Ford. The receipt basically said nothing was wrong with my car, no errors came up on tests, and it was returned. This is different than what my husband and I were told from the Service Advisor.

    I called Henry Curtis Ford and left a message for Joseph **. I spoke with the Service Advisor Andy ** at Concord Ford and asked his notes be thorough and include all communications with their technicians, any tests or maintenance performed, and documentation of our communications. I discussed my concerns with the Sales Manager William who appeared concerned about the situation. William assured me he would be able to reimburse Angela for the gas, but since she was not local, he would have to look into how.

    2/23/2013: Concord Ford detailed the Mazda 3 rental since it had a funny smell and Hertz is not open on Saturdays. 2/25/2013: I spoke with Andy ** at Future Ford to try and understand the issue and procedure to correct it. I called Ford Manufacturer and opened a claim. The claim was escalated and assigned to Leslie ** (866-631-3788, extension **, email: **). I spoke with Joe **, Service Advisor at Henry Curtis Ford, and advised him of how the receipt was written. He said he would fix it and send it back to us.

    2/26/2013: I left a message for Leslie since I had not heard back. 2/27/2013: Leslie called me back on 2/27/2013 and stated a Ford script that they stand behind their warranty and asked if she could offer me a Service package to help with my trouble. I told her I was scared and I have never been in this sort of situation. I asked how long this may go on and she said she had no idea. 3/1/2013: I spoke with Andy ** at Future Ford. 3/4/2013: I went to Future Ford to check in on gas refund from 2/16/2013. William had not yet found a way to refund the gas, such as providing a gift card. William said he would have a check sent to Angela. 3/5/2013: I called Joseph ** at Henry Curtis Ford and asked if the receipt was updated or mailed. He said it had been updated and mailed but he would mail again since we did not receive.

    3/6/2013: The Mazda 3 rental began to smell again, so I exchanged the vehicle for another option at Hertz, a Chevy Cruz. I contacted Ford and spoke with Leslie. I told her I was so upset and I wanted to drive my car and I was unhappy with the rentals. I pleaded to have my car fixed, replaced, or a buyback. She said she couldn’t fix it any sooner, so I said to go forward with the buyback. This conversation was really hard. I was literally to my breaking point, in tears, and she made me feel like I was asking a favor they couldn't fulfill. Leslie spoke down to me and said she couldn't control what they had at the rental agency and she could only file requests for buybacks, which could take up to 10 business days. Ford has the buyback starting on 3/7/13 and Leslie insisted multiple times in future conversations I requested it on the 7th. I didn't see a point in arguing, but I took notes and documented the 6th personally.

    3/8/2013: I spoke with Andy ** regarding parts and status. 3/14/2013: After another request had been made with Joseph ** for the receipt to be sent and it was not received (exact date of second request was not documented), I drove to Petaluma to get the receipt. The receipt was still not updated to the same information they had said over the phone; the only note that was added said the issue may be related to PCM. This was never mentioned to us during the time the car was in Petaluma; it was only something thought to be the issue after Ford in Concord had got the issue to occur in a picture they took and sent to a Ford technician, via their hotline.

    Rick **, Service Manager at Future Ford, calls to tell me they are still waiting on a part called the PCM, but it is on back order and they will not receive it in their factory until the 20th and have an emergency order to have it in expedited. I was in the Petaluma dealership and missed the call. I called Rick back upon leaving and left a message asking him to call me back. I called Leslie ** (assigned to my claim with Ford) and left a message. Upon getting home, Joseph **'s receipt was received in the mail.

    3/18/2013: 30 days no vehicle, 8 business days into buyback request, and no follow up. I called Leslie ** and left a call back message. 3/19/2013: I went to Concord Ford, left a note for Rick ** to call me back, and spoke with William about the check for Angela's gas. He had her information and said he was still working on getting it made. I spoke with Andy **. 3/20/2013: I stayed home from work to focus on getting this resolved, 32 days in. I called Leslie and left another message. I went to Ford Manufacturer’s Customer Service to request my issue be addressed, escalated, or resolved. I spoke with a gentleman named Bruce who assured me I could get a call back from Leslie or her superior within 1 business day. Bruce was a very kind representative who conveyed a sincere tone and empathy.

    Leslie returned my call later in the afternoon. The conversation was really intense and it was clear she was irritated with me and felt she did not need to check in with me until she had more information. I don't even know how to write how this call made me feel. It was emotional and it impacted my judgment of Ford more than any of the issues I had with my car. I have never been made to feel as insignificant by a company as I was that day. There was no regard for my situation or remorse for them being the reason it was caused. Leslie was cold and uncooperative. End of the business day, Rick ** from Future Ford of Concord called to say they fixed the problem. I shared with him we are afraid of the vehicle and for our safety. I requested they leave the vehicle there since we will not risk driving it, or to tow it to our home. They said they would keep it there until they heard back from Leslie **.

    3/21/2013: I called Leslie and pleaded for an answer and she advised they had not returned a response and that the buyback request is dealt with behind the scenes and she will let me know when a decision is made. I asked why it was taking longer than the ten business days she stated and she said it can take longer in different situations. She said if I went through BBB, it would likely take 30 business days. She said she may hear back on Monday and she would call me then as she was out of the office on Friday and the weekend.

    3/25/2013: I called Leslie and left a message in the morning, a second in the afternoon, and called one last time in the evening, and she answered. She advised she did not have any additional information and would call me when she did. 3/27/2013: I called Leslie in the early afternoon. I received a callback in the early evening. Leslie said the buyback was declined and could not elaborate as to why. The response I was given after 15 business days was "It did not meet your state’s Lemon Law requirements". Leslie ** offered to pay 1 month's car payment for my inconvenience. She stated the check will be processed through the dealerships accounting department, which usually takes 10 business days.

    3/28/2013: Future Ford of Concord asked me to pick up my vehicle and they could not tow it as there would be an expense to Ford. 3/29/2013: I picked up our Fusion from Future Ford in Concord. My husband drove the car home. Prior to the issue, the vehicle seamlessly shifted through all the gears. Now you can feel a distinctive shift in gears from first gear through third. The vehicle now also has a rough idle as if it were under a slight load, similar to the air conditioner is running.

    3/30/2013: I went to Future Ford to ask Andy to update the receipt. The write up did not specify the issue is intermittent. Andy stated the car shifts hard since it is an adaptive transmission, which learns how you drive. This left me concerned on how they drove my vehicle when they put the 100 miles to test the replacement PCM. Angela received the check in the mail for the amount of $67.50. 3/31/2013 - 4/1/2013: The Fusion is in our driveway as we are afraid to drive it. I received a ticket in the mail addressed to my husband and me, stating we went through a tollbooth for the bay bridge on 3/20/2013 at 12:09pm without paying. The ticket said we owed a total of $29.00.

    4/2/2013: I went to Future Ford and asked to speak with the General Manager of all operations for the location. William said he was the General Manager of sales and could assist. I politely declined but gave him the copy of the ticket and waited 14 minutes for him to return. He tried to review the issue with me but I politely declined. He asked me to wait another moment. I waited for 2 minutes until he returned and brought me to the Service area to speak with a Service Manager. I politely declined and asked to speak with the General Manager of all operations for the location.

    Rick ** assisted me 2 minutes later. I advised Rick ** (General Manager of Future Auto Center of Concord) of my issues, concerns, and request for the buyback. We discussed the situation. He seemed to have a realistic understanding of my situation and advised he would attempt to bring the issue to the manufacturer’s attention again and contact me on 4/3/2013 to touch base or provide feedback. Rick also confirmed a check would be in the mail the following day for the Fast Trac ticket. I emailed Rick ** my letter for my buyback request, and the timeline (up-to-date timeline).

    4/3/2013: I received an email from Rick **: “Thanks for the information and sharing your concerns. I have spoken to our Ford Zone Manager for Fixed Operations and provided him your information. I have asked him to review the information and see if there is anything else that can be done. He has told me that he will be contacting you in the next 24 hours and will have the file reviewed, which may take a few days. If you could please shoot me an email when you hear from him, I would appreciate it.”

    4/3/2013: I received a call from Brian with Ford Motor Company who advised me of his meeting and conversation from Rick **. He stated he intended to escalate my situation and concerns with Ford Motor Company and request my file be reviewed again. He stated he would follow up no later than 3 business days. I replied to Rick **’s email: “Rick, Thank you for your follow-up email. I appreciate your involvement and pursuit of my concerns. Brian called after leaving the Concord Future Ford office and advised he would escalate my situation with Ford Motor Company. I should hear from Brian within the next 3 business days.” 4/4/2013: The Fusion is in our driveway as we are afraid to drive it.

    My husband and I were both excited and anxious to purchase a new car. The monetary commitment involved in this investment was daunting to us, so when making this decision, we naturally looked toward Ford, a company we have always trusted. Regrettably, the ensuing debacle we have become embroiled in to obtain a Lemon Law buyback has made us second guess the decision entirely.

    We feel it is apparent that there is a failure on the part of Ford to address this issue in a timely manner. According to the Lemon Law of California, part of the criteria to have the company buy back a vehicle is that the owner is unable to use the vehicle for 30 days due to an automotive problem that puts the owner’s safety at risk. This is exactly what has transpired, and yet we were denied by Ford Motor Company for the buyback request. As a result, we are now taking any and every action reasonable to obtain a buyback. Further, we have engaged in a grassroots campaign on Facebook, created fliers, and pursued other creative methods to inform the public of the poor treatment and problems we have endured by purchasing this particular Ford product.

    In order to rectify this negligence, please assist as follows (listed in order of preference): (1) get the buyback request approved; (2) exchange our current vehicle at no additional cost (unless the new vehicle is of a greater cost than the original overall cost including all taxes, fees, incentives, and cash down). We agree to honor the difference in mileage at a prorated price to ensure this costly imposition is resolved in the quickest, safest, and most satisfactory way. Thank you in advance for your help.

    I went to the Ford Credit website on January 9th to make January payment due January 7. After making payment, I checked the box to extract payments automatically on the due date heretofore, thinking that this would start in February. Apparently by checking that box, my payment was not applied to January. There is no smart feature on that site that applies the funds to the last payment due and no payment was made until February 7, skipping January. I did not notice this and on March 2, I received a robo-call stating that my account was seriously delinquent and to call Ford Credit ASAP. This came as a total surprise to me.

    I spoke to a very helpful rep named Windy, who read the situation clearly, but also told me that my account was reported delinquent to the credit bureaus. She understood what happened and it was obvious that I didn't check in on January 9 for any reason other than to make payment. She referred it to a supervisor. Over the next week, I spoke to 3 more reps and 2 supervisors. They told me that I should give it 30 days. Today I'm at 30 days and dealt with two people this morning who were completely unsympathetic to my issue and kept reading me the rules. My contention that the system should be programmed to apply payment to the last payment due was met with deaf ears and was told that even after submitting written complaints electronically, that they must be written in pen and ink to be considered for reversal.

    I have invested at least 8 hours with this company to resolve an issue that was triggered by software that is programmed by them. Hence an internal Ford issue. This can easily be resolved by a company that actually values its customers. I had a similar technical issue with BMW a few years back and it was resolved efficiently and with great courtesy. Within 3 days I received a letter of reversal from them and all three credit bureaus were notified. Ford apparently has a banking arm that is way behind virtually every other I have dealt with regard to treating its customers fairly. I will continue this pursuit to clear my credit. I will never buy another Ford product again.

    We purchased our E-150 custom van 7 years ago. It has been well-maintained while we owned it. It had been parked for two days when it spontaneously caught fire. Thanks to a quick response by our local emergency services, there was little damage to our house. But the van is a total loss. It was a rude awakening to see it catch fire too. Nothing like having a police officer pound on your door, yelling, "Your house is on fire. Get out!" I had no idea this was so common.

    Last night, I spent the night at my boyfriend's. I was awakened to the sound of an alarm and people screaming. I looked out the window and his Ford 1995 F150 was blazing. There were flames and black smoke and the smell of rubber. He was working and so, after calling the fire department, I called him. The truck had been sitting in the parking lot for three days and this night was the coldest night of the week and it was raining. I was thinking that someone set the truck on fire but, after reading the information on this site, I am shocked and amazed. My mom bought this truck from a dealership about ten years ago and it was well maintained. Apparently, that means nothing and filing any paperwork with Ford would be useless. This really sucks. We will never buy another Ford ever!

    I just read the posts and what happened to my truck was exactly what I read - 2000 F150 extended Cab, excellent condition, low mileage, parked for 5 hours, then spontaneous combustion. The engine looks like it was nuked. Though I am sure the Insurance will cover it, but not nearly the value of the truck or the contents that were destroyed. Does Ford provide any compensation?

    2002 Ford Taurus SEL - On January 5, 2013, I was backing out of my driveway and heard a pop. When I got out to look, my front driver's side tire was deflated. Come to find out, the coil spring broke and punctured the tire. I found out previous model years had a recall for this same issue but not 2002. I called Ford customer service at 800-392-3673 (1 for English then keep hitting 0 and you'll get a live person. I didn't even bother waiting to listen to the messages, just kept hitting 0). I was told that there is not a current recall for this issue with this model year. What they did was document the concern by forwarding it to the National Highway Safety Board. This stinks, as this will now cost a pretty penny to get fixed.

    My wife and I awoke this morning around 0600 to the sound of a horn honking right next to our bedroom window and bright lights outside. I figured someone was trying to pick up a friend to take to work and had the wrong house. When I looked out the window, I saw my 1999 F-150 with a 12"-18" hole in the center of its hood with flames shooting up through it. The horn honking must have either been an emergency alarm or the wires crossed after the plastic melted off them. I ran outside while the fire was still relatively small and attempted to put it out with a small kitchen fire extinguisher - which only lasted 3 seconds and did nothing to stop the blaze. I quickly pulled out the important things I could reach from inside the cab and it went up in flames shortly thereafter.

    My wife had already contacted 911 and I tried to turn on the garden hose - which was right next to the truck - but it was frozen solid. I quickly hooked up an empty hose, but when I turned the water back on - I only got half power (there must have been a partial ice blockage) so I proceeded to hold a trickle of water over my aluminum truck bed tool box while the firefighters arrived and got their hose out - which only took about a minute. They blasted the truck with water and got most of the flames out, and then they blasted and showered several spots with foam.

    The cab was burnt to a crisp, but everything in my aluminum tool box in the truck bed was okay aside from a plastic tool box melting slightly to the inner wall of the aluminum box. A corner of our garage - which was almost directly over the rear driver's corner of the cab - had slight blistering to the paint, but it's hardly noticeable. We were very fortunate that this happened at a time when we were both able to react to the emergency as it was unfolding, and we were very fortunate to have been able to remove almost everything of any value from the cab, and fortunate as well that the garage didn't ignite.

    It was below freezing out for sure, and my truck had sat there cold for about 36 hours before the fire started. From now on, I'm going to park well away from our house and garage. I'm also going to buy several types of fire extinguishers to keep in the house and in the next vehicle I get, as well as a designated emergency-hose to keep indoors to prevent it from freezing. And having read so many other stories here about spontaneous combustion in Ford vehicles, I don't think I can ever buy one again.

    My Ford 500 has been at the Ford dealership in MA since November 17 (almost 2 months). I am told it has a transmission problem. The entire transmission needs to be replaced because CVT is not repairable. However, Ford is out of stock. They provided a Hertz rental for a month but today they called and said they will not cover the rental and have no answer when they will have the part! How can you sell a car and not provide parts? How can they just dump a customer who has been loyal to them for 32 years?

    Yesterday, I went out to my 2003 Ford Taurus SE to go to work. As I started to back out of the driveway, I heard a loud pop. I got out to find that the driver's side front tire was completely flat. When roadside assistance came to change the tire, he discovered that the coil spring had broken, stabbing a huge hole in the sidewall of the tire. He looked & said the sway bar link was also broken. The tire alone is going to cost me $110, & I will have to have the car towed as it is not drivable. The roadside assistance guy estimated the cost of repair between $500-$1,000, a wide range, I know, but looking at this forum, it appears it's going to be more on the high end. I strongly suspect both front & rear will have to be replaced, and I have no idea where I am going to come up with that kind of money. I'm very angry that this year has not been recalled, especially considering how dangerous this is. I'm thinking strongly of starting a petition on change.org to get Ford to change its mind.

    This is dangerous; they should not be breaking. The left front tire blew out when I was backing out of the garage. When I removed the tire, I noticed that the coil spring had broken, leaving a jagged edge. The edge ripped out the sidewall of the tire (a fairly new studded snow tire that will be expensive to replace).

    I have had a 2000 F-150 Lariat 4x4 Ford truck for 12 years. All has been fine and no mechanical issues - 149k miles. Today I drove down, rented a video, drove out to Subway and ran in to order a sandwich. I came outside and my truck was on fire (engine compartment). By the time the fire department arrived, my ole red truck was a total loss. Why would it just catch on fire? The engine was off. It's really a bummer as now I am out an expensive ride. Plus I had just spent $1,440 on tires for it a week ago. This truck has been maintained - regular oil changes and not one problem. Basically it was very well taken care of. It seems to me there was some kind of malfunction in the engine compartment after shutting the vehicle down. This should have never happened.

    The second front spring has now broken. First it was the driver's side - now the passenger. I don't understand why the recall doesn't include the 2003 model, since they obviously have the same problem as the other ones that there has been a recall on. The mechanic said it won't be long before the rear passenger one goes too. This is a very dangerous position that we have been put in by Ford not recalling these. Who is responsible for starting a recall? This is not fair or good business.

    I bought a 2005 Ford F-150 for my husband, Aaron **, as a coming home present from Iraq. We taped a huge red ribbon around it and waited for the Army to move the buses so he could see it. Just to have that very present take his life. He was 22 years old, with a 3-year old child, and the truck took his life. Not Iraq or terrorism, but here at home by one of the most trusted American names we have. It is believed and documented by the Criminal Investigative Division over Fort Hood that his death is indeterminable, but stemmed from a fire in the front engine compartment.

    Aaron parted ways in the early evening hours of September 10, 2008 from a 30-day field training mission to head home for relaxation. He walked in the door, cracked a 16oz Natural Ice and headed straight for the toilet. No less than 5 minutes he was talking to me, reiterating the day before him and letting his stresses unfold like duty does at this hour. I failed to remember that this would be our last conversation and completely failed to put all my trust in him. Instead of telling him I loved him, I told him we would be divorcing. That the stresses he held onto were quickly becoming mine and with that, he threw his ring, jumped up from the toilet and headed to bed. Neither of us knew that the fire would seriously sever that conversation.

    When I woke the following morning, I decided to not call him. He had been in training for the previous 45 days and I thought with the heavy sentence I laid on him, he might need a day to go fishing. I was to attend his only sister's wedding, since he could not. His redeployment date was nearing and he was to stay within 150 miles of Ft. Hood. The 11th went on like no one was watching. No one in the **'s home was worried about anything, but football scores. I too was not. I did not know Aaron had taken his last breath, in our own home, with all that military training. No, I was the last one who believed Aaron was not breathing. I made a few mistakes in my lifetime, but this certainly was the largest. Army life, army strife, together forever, it is our life.

    4 years have passed. Nothing has been the way it was the day before Sept. 11, 2008. It is more like a divorce that I had wanted at 24 years old. Who knows what divorce really is at that age? But now I battle my in-laws over our only daughter. I have rarely seen reality bite until I envision why Ford caused that fire in Aaron's truck. I lost the battle in them. I lost my daughter to my in-laws and I lost Aaron. My heart grieves for Taylor, our daughter. She suffers without her father and her mother. I only wish I had words to describe the catastrophe Ford caused my family. But one day it will matter and all will see. My ambitions to become an attorney purposefully to convict Ford and all that they are capable of as an American motor company will guide me for the rest of my life.

    I ask God for mercy upon Ford - its creators and its will.

    I will definitely add images of my Ford F150 truck explosions and how quickly the truck burned up our home. My favorite Ford F150 4X4 $45,000.00 Lariat SuperCrew truck (which I usually park inside my home/garage) burned and exploded several times, burning down my home (especially half the home/roof). Flames and black smoke filled the home entirely. Ford advertised for years their Ford trucks are "built Ford tough." My stepbrother, a 20-plus years New York police officer, worked many overtime hours at and around ground zero (after 9/11) and I decided to buy American, put money back into building the American economy after 9/11, help Americans keep their jobs in the car manufacturing business, etc. So I purchased a new 2001-2001 Ford F150 4x4 SuperCrew Lariat truck with the best intentions based on supporting the American economy after 9/11 and based on Ford's advertisement for many years that Ford trucks are "built Ford tough".

    Nevertheless, I found out at 12:30 am, August 10, 2006, after discovering my truck burning and exploding with flames shooting from the hood and quickly engulfing the truck, flames spreading and quickly covering my home, etc. Then years later, after being lied to and lied on repeatedly day after day, month after month, year after year, 5-6 years down the horrible road of complete fall out after a fire disaster and our lives have been completely disrupted, torn apart, traumatized so severely my health, family and a good decent spacious home, nicely furnished, great property and everything else has been ripped away and destroyed to a point of no return as a direct result of the horrible mistreatment, we were received by Ford Motor Co. and their investigators and representatives. We were told 5-6 years after the fire that Ford has had this problem since early 1990s and have allowed people to purchase their vehicles without sending customers recall notices; thus, many families and children have died in Ford fires and have had serious health issues that often lead to death as a result of the significant stress from dealing with the mistreatment by Ford and their affiliates, etc.

    See also "Fire Under the Hood,” which discussed how a four-year-old beautiful soul, Blake Washington, died after the family's Ford Expedition spontaneously burned up in their garage. The family suffered for years after being mistreated, ignored, and disrespected so horribly. Blake's mom died 4-5 years later (around February 2009) from a broken heart, auto-immune system failure and many stress-related health issues spiraling from her losses. Around 2009-2011, I read an article written by Blake's mom and dad, Tanika and Juan Washington (a military family). They wrote a detailed article about how bad Ford and Texas Instruments treated them after their Ford Expedition's defect caused a fire and burned their home and daughter. When will the President, U.S. Congress, and responsible officials help all of us who have had our lives ruined and experienced significant losses as a direct result of Ford Motor Co., Texas Instrument, and DuPont's pure negligence and criminal responsibility of making defective products costing billions of dollars that they know cause significant loss of life, liberty, privacy, property and that has systematically destroyed the entire lives of many families?

    We need responsible officials to help, such as the, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. President, Congress, the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Brenan Center for Justice and MoveOn.org, Change.Org and every human rights and U.S. Constitutional rights organizations and attorneys who are not afraid to step up and help make the lives better of millions of Americans citizens and millions of U.S. military families who have suffered profusely. As long as Ford Motor Co., Texas Instruments, DuPont, and all the Ford dealerships can get away with making billions in profits knowingly selling defective products that cause loss of life, health, property, etc., these companies will continue to do so without any mercy whatsoever on the American public. A little injustice anywhere leads to a whole lot of injustice everywhere. And when good people know that evil exist and fail to take action to stop it, then they too are just as evil as those committing evil act. This is nothing less than homegrown domestic terrorism: to purchase a truck that's like a ticking time bomb. You never know when it’ll explode.

    We learned 5 years after the fire by an expert in our case that when the gears start sticking in park or drive and you have to wiggle the gear handle to change gears, that's a sign that the vehicle is in trouble. It's a very, very small minor technicality that people don't even think twice about when they may have a little trouble changing gears from park to reverse or drive and most people are rushing off to get to work, home, etc., and never even suspecting this is a small signal to a major product defect. Ford would rather wait you out with their highly paid attorneys than pay middle class or working poor people any significant compensation to get your life back on track and make you whole after their trucks caused disaster.

    This company is very rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. When contacting them about my account, they have the nerves to ask me why I have called so much. I advised them that they call everyday and sometimes 5x a day but when I call, you have a problem. The representative Theresa and Kimberly ** are very ghetto and unprofessional. Just because they hate their job doesn't mean they have to treat their customers like dog **! I'm very unhappy with this company. I would advise anyone considering this company to please reconsider and go with a private financing car dealership because it's the same thing!

    Ford Customer Service treats its customers like 2nd class citizens. They tell you one thing then do another. The settlement offer payment I sent in on 09/19/12 took almost 2 weeks to post. Now I was told that they are selling my vehicle at a private sale if I do not send in the balance plus repossession fee which I have already done. It was delivered at 8:57am on 10/09/12 and as of now it has not been posted to my account. I have sent the money both times and Ford has faltered on their end by not posting the payments in a timely manner.

    They have moved the vehicle from 100 miles to 200 miles away. Now I have to get someone to go with so that I can get my vehicle if Ford decided to post the payment. Do not worry that there will most likely be another post if I ended up losing my vehicle because of the way Ford does business. I would never recommend Ford or Ford Credit to even my worst enemy, much less a friend.

    I sent the settlement offer, but it took Ford over two weeks to post the payment. So they stated the only way I could get my vehicle back was to pay additional money the balance of what I owed and a $420 repo fee. I sent that money in by priority mail delivery conformation. It was delivered at 8:57 am on 10/09/12 and it still has not posted to my account. Ford said the vehicle is up for auction on 10/13/12 which is now 200 miles away from where I live instead of the 100 miles from the repo yard. I do not know why Ford treats its customers like second-class citizens. If Ford is going to continue doing business like that, they are going to end up the loser because people will not go back to them to purchase a vehicle. The people at Ford that I have spoken to over the last two weeks are either rude, hateful or discourteous who hung up the phone when you start to talk to them.

    I have been told that the one supervisor is in a meeting even though she picked up the phone and then very rudely disconnected my call five times in two days of calling her extension. I have never been treated that way before by people that are supposed to be your account manager or in customer service. Boy, that is really some kind of customer service - hang up then they do not have to worry about the problem you are calling about. I will write another complaint once I find out if I get my vehicle back or not since there is not one red cent owed on it right now. But yet I have to come up with a way to Greensboro, NC from Loris, SC to get my property back. That should not have been taken in the first place.

    I was called and then sent a letter to pay a settlement amount of $1,403.76 on the phone and in the letter, I explained to the lady (877-231-8641 ext. **) I would have the money in a couple of weeks because my husband had just passed away. She stated this could not wait so I put off paying other bills to send the money on Sept. 19th. Well, on Sunday, Sept. 30th, they came and repossessed the vehicle, in which Ford is not open on Sunday's. So, I called the lady back on Monday, Oct. 1st and asked why the vehicle was repossessed. She stated the payment had not posted. I explained that I had sent it in. She was the rudest and most hateful person I have ever spoken to at Ford.

    I asked her if I could talk to a supervisor and she said no. I told her I had sent the money and wanted my vehicle returned to me and she said too bad the only way was to pay Ford an additional $350.94 plus the repo fee. She would not even tell me exactly where the vehicle was. She stated it was none of my business and I did not have the right to know where my vehicle was taken. I do know the vehicle was taken to North Carolina and I live in South Carolina which is about 100 miles from me. The letter also states failure to remit the settlement amount or contact Ford may result in further collection activity, nothing about repossession which I think according to South Carolina Law, the consumer must be notified of repossession and the consumer has 20 days to pay the debt. I was not even given that courtesy. My husband worked for Ford for over 10 years and we have purchased over 15 vehicles over the years. As far as I am concerned, I will never buy another Ford as long as I live!

    Ford had a recall on their subframe which was completed May 2011. I took my car to my mechanic July 2012 to be looked over. I found that the engine cradle (subframe is rusted out) left the front transmission mount vehicle not safe to drive. Also as stated by the ford dealership, Ford will not help. Ford passed the buck on to the Ford dealership that did the recall. In my opinion, the subframes should have been completely replaced, not reinforced. I cannot afford to get another car.

    On December of 2010, I had transmission problems and we then had it replaced at Gates Automotive 73 Marway Circle Rochester, NY 14624; phone 585-247-3844. Then in March of 2012, we received a recall notice stating that there is a recall on the torque converter. So now that we received the notice this month that there is an official recall, they are denying the claim because it does not have specifics of the torque converter being the case, but does indicate the same problems of having park, no forward or reverse on van. I had them replace the transmission not knowing Ford was recalling it at that time because of it being two years prior to any letter. Now because the receipt does not indicate that it was a torque converter, they will not honor the refund on this job.

    I had spoken with a couple of individuals from the 1-800-232-5952 customer relationship center and still no headway. The company did not pull the transmission apart because no one knew of a recall. I would have rather paid for a torque converter than a whole transmission.

    I was driving my Ford Escort. When I turned onto Speedway road, a vehicle hit me and sent me spinning onto the side of the road, down the berm and stopping after hitting my head two times. My seat belt didn't lock and the airbags didn't deploy. This left me with a fractured neck (hangman neck fracture). The driver side window was broken and the back windshield was blown out. I ended up being transported by two ambulances to the University Hospital. After getting a brace on my neck, I was transported for the third time to a rehabilitation hospital. I was in the hospital for 15 days. I am still in the brace after 10 weeks and under the care of a neurologist and will be evaluated again next week.

    I too had my front right coil spring failed on my 2002 Taurus. It punctured the tire at 55mph. I just had it looked at and would require a repair cost of $570. Looks like I'm not the only one. Just remember this fellow owners, all manufacturers sell these cars, only the good ones stand behind their product. Simple, is Ford a good company or mediocre? Will you continue to support a company that does not stand behind its product? I will no longer support Ford until this issue is resolved. Sounds like a class action to me. Step up to the plate Ford or is the company simply mediocre? F.O.R.D. = Flat Or Road Deflating.

    I had been hit on the head which caused damage to my brain in which I haven't been able to work. My wife is in kidney failure awaiting treatment for chemo and had been infusing to stay alive! We have always been good payers with Ford credit company, have always, when we made an arrangement to pay, did pay my Ford account. My wife called and was not authorized on my account and talked to Ford customer service department in regards to payment arrangements on my truck, acct **, for an F250 truck.

    Ford spoke to her and she had asked about it in the future, since I was sick with head injury, if we had to give back vehicle voluntarily in the future, if something happened, what are the steps. The customer service advised her not to do that and to try to find another person to buy the contract and get out of name. The customer service looked at the account and said that as long as $45 was made and a payment of $175 was made in 7 days, the account would be fine and the vehicle would be okay. And, Ford would work with us on the truck until health was better as we were good customers with Ford! After the conversation with Ford, my wife said that she had asked about repossession, they weren't interested in doing that. After she heard what would happen, payment then was made on the truck for $399.15 and another for $175 and $200 through the automated system on the phone.

    Anytime I tried to pay my account over the phone, the contract number would come up as fusion and SSN would not match. Ford was told several times about the error, something was done in refinance, several payments were made, and 3 days later, at 1:40 am, my truck was repossessed from my yard, after my being in the hospital with severe brain injury. Ford had told me a week before the vehicle was fine as long as arrangement was followed through and the Ford truck would not be in default or repossessed in which there was no letter, no warning, nothing. They came, got the truck with payment arrangement done and agreed to by Ford Credit! Payments that were made weren't credited correctly on the truck or the other acct **. Edge is ahead, not due till August 2012 with $100 due in July 2012.

    Being sick, I requested help with the truck since I haven't been able to work and I could have borrowed money to catch up payment if I knew of them coming to get the truck! There was no letter, no warning! Yolanda, in customer service, is rude. She told my wife and me on the speaker phone after the truck had been repossessed that the reason was because my wife had asked about voluntary surrendering of the truck if something happened in the future but not at present time. Ford should have not even spoken to my wife about the account. I should have been contacted with this information. It was my account, not my wife's! The repossession company, the driver for Carolina Lending out of Myrtle Beach, SC picked the truck up 3 days after payment arrangement was made and payment posted on Saturday, the 12th. The truck was picked up on the 10th.

    The repossession driver lied and was rude to my wife and taunted me at the repossession lot, laughed and said the only reason this happened was because of my last name, **. The driver held a grudge for the ** family and threatened that he was coming for my Edge that was current. The system at Ford doesn't post for 3 days or more. That is not my fault. My Edge is not due till August 2012. The driver was rude and threatening me on the lot with vulgar language and rudeness! The police have a report! Ford had no right to speak to an unauthorized person on the account and also, after payment arrangement was made and agreed, and customer service told me a week before and my wife, that nothing would happen and they repossessed. This was wrong. Please help me. Now they want me to pay my truck in full, $18,000. Yolanda is a rude and nasty person at customer service and the supervisor Ms. ** won't call me back! Please help me!

    I drove my 2001 F-150 to the store today, came home and parked it in my apartment complex's parking lot at approximately 3:30PM. My wife came home at around 9PM to find my truck engulfed in flames. I have had no serious issues with this truck since I bought it 10 years ago. Tonight, it burst into flames and I looked up on spontaneous combustion on Ford trucks on a whim and find this a pretty common occurrence. Thanks Ford, being a paid for truck, I only carried liability and am now out of a ride. Thanks again Ford. I have owned Ford vehicles all my life. Guess I will buy a Chevy and leave my Ford - Found On Road Dead.

    We own a 2004 Ford Freestar. It's been having transmission problems for a while. Ford, last year, sent out a recall. Every time we call the dealership, we are told that there are no parts available to do the repairs. It's been over 6 months now for this recall. My van has finally died and is now sitting in my driveway collecting dust. If I were just to drop it off, they would do the repair with what they have on hand but still say they don't have parts for the recall. Seriously? What do we do in this situation?

    I received a safety recall notice 11S25/NHTSA Recall 12V-006 indicating problems with the splines in the torque converter and instructions to contact dealer for repair if vehicle loses forward and reverse power before Ford has parts to fix the problem. The letter stated that "parts are not currently available" and "are anticipated to be available in the 2nd Quarter of 2012" and replacement of the torque converter will be "free of charge (parts and labor)."

    On 5/4/12, I lost acceleration on my 2005 Freestar (VIN **) and I towed it 30 miles back home. After contacting service manager, **, at Valley Ford Lincoln dealership, I towed my van there for repairs on 5/7/12. The service manager called after inspection to tell me that my transmission break down had nothing to do with the recall part. He quoted me $1,500 to "break it down" to determine the needed repair and further cost to repair it. I then had it towed to Century Transmission (421 E St, Lemoore, CA 93245; 559-925-8853) where it was repaired for the cost of $2,091. The owner, Raul, informed me that the torque converter had worn splines and was indeed the needed repair. The receipt and part were taken back to service manager, who consulted his technician, **. Upon inspecting the part, technician stated that the part was "shot" and that the repair cost was "not bad" and that they would have charged at least that much. The service manager said he would use my receipt to see if I could get some "if any" of my money back.

    When the owner, Jack Keller, was contacted, he indicated that I would not get reimbursed for the repair because I should have had it towed back to Ford for repair even though I was told it was not the covered part. In addition to not trusting Ford to be honest at that point, it would have been my 4th tow and I would still have owed Century for labor. I have the original receipt and the removed torque converter in my possession for needed inspection and proof that the splines are worn and the torque converter is bad. I would like to be reimbursed for the cost of repair to my transmission ($2,091).

    My 98 F150 had been parked beside the garage for two weeks. It ran fine with no issues. Then Monday morning about seven, the truck started on fire. Luckily, nothing else was burnt, but the truck is a total lost. If you own a Ford truck, sell it or get it to a dealer now.

    On March 13th, 2012, I had an accident due to heavy fog that caused me to slam into a 3 and 1/2 foot ditch then into a field. The seat belt did not lock and the airbags did not deploy which slammed my chest into the steering wheel, bounced me in the air causing me to break my back and severely bruising my ribs. I am currently bed-ridden and very upset that my 2007 Ford Escape failed to protect me. My vehicle remains at the auto repair shop estimating damages. I am thankful no one else was in the vehicle.

    I arrived home from work on 3/26/2012 at approximately 3 pm. The truck (2001 F-150) was off and parked for a good hour. While in my kitchen, I heard a loud boom and smelled something burning. I looked outside and the driver’s side front fender was on fire. Flames were coming through the hood. The loud boom turned out to be my driver’s side front tire. I called the fire department of Midland County, TX. My truck is totaled. The entire front of my 4-door truck burned. The firemen got to my house before any structural damage occurred.

    My truck was paid for; therefore, I only carried liability insurance. I was willing to accept the loss and was grateful that my children were not harmed. Now, I am finding out that this is a problem that Ford knew about. Why am I not notified? I remember receiving notices about extended warranty options, but never about a potential fire hazard. As I learn more about this issue, it upsets me even more. I had problems with my cruise control within the last 6 months. I also replaced the rear light bulbs because of brake and emergency light problems. I repeat, I am grateful to God that no one was hurt, but I can’t help but to believe that this could have been prevented. Please respond with information and direction that I could go from this unnecessary burden that my family has to endure. Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Last year, front right coil spring failed and punctured the tire requiring the car to be towed and repaired at a cost of $550. Seven months later, rear driver's side coil failed. Today actually, not sure if the tire has been damaged. I will check that at time of pick up at a cost of $350. I have owned many, many cars and never had this problem with any of them. I am concerned with the other two. Fortunately, both failures were at low speeds. How can this not be a recall. I'm much more concerned with the safety aspect than the cost. While I'm happy to own a 5 Star Taurus, maybe 5 is rated a little too high, and let's get this thing fixed before people start getting hurt. Thanks!

    I was driving home from Wal-Mart, which is about a 20 minute drive. I am not sure what happened, as I must have blacked out, or blocked it out, but I woke up flipping over and over, and found out it was in a field. Witnesses claimed the car flipped 12 times, before landing on the roof of the car. All the windows, besides one I believe, were knocked out, and there weren't airbags. I have an artificial hip, due to another wreck, where I was a passenger. I was trying to get the seat belt off, as I was scared something else would happen if I didn't get out, but it was stuck.

    Finally, a gentleman showed up. He had to crawl down under me, to cut the belt, and get me out, without causing more problems. The first thing I heard the policeman say was the bags did not go off, then I heard the same thing next day, when I went to pick up whatever was left. A prescription was lost or stolen. We looked everywhere, and my Tom Tom, which was in the glove box was gone. I went by ambulance to the hospital. They took an x-ray of my chest and neck, and did some CT scans to check my back. As of now, I have bruises and abrasions, but I can barely walk without crutches. The same side of my hip was replaced in 1994. My back has a large bruise, and it hurts real bad to move, cough, etc. I did not have comp or collision, as I was told, when a car is over 20 years old, they don't need it.

    The car is completely totaled. The roof was crushed like a "v" right down the middle. The medic said if my head or the "v" had been an inch or so closer, I would not be here. If there are this many complaints, why hasn't Ford done something about it? I was shocked. I was supposed to be on federal jury tomorrow. I had to call and cancel that. Currently, all I can do is lay in bed or on the couch, with heating pads and pain medications. I may have to call my orthopedic doctor, if I don't get any better. But my husband has been out of work taking care of me. He went back today, and the my doctor is in Charleston, about 2 hours and some minutes from where we are. He can't afford to take off constantly.

    I had my truck parked in front of my house on January 2011. I left the car running outside and went inside the house. When I looked outside my car was on fire under the hood. I just had time to call the fire department. If we hadn't looked outside our house would have been burnt and my family in danger. I didn't have full coverage. I had a total loss on that car. I contacted Ford Motor Company to make a complaint and I was told that there was no recalls on that truck for that specific year. I did many researches online and found many trucks the same year had caught fire just like mine and that there were only recalls from 1999 to 2003 due to the same issue that happened to my 2004 truck.

    My 2001 Mercury Sable LS had two broken coil springs in the rear and my wife was commuting with my daughter in the car. I noticed the sag and took it into the shop and told me that if I had waited any longer, she would have had an accident because the spring had corkscrewed a few inches from the inside sidewall! Ford would not cover it, even though it is a defect in metal and quality. It cost me $700 to replace rear suspension.

    Then my car's front tires were wearing unevenly, so I brought it to the tire shop to have it balanced and rotated. I asked the technician what he noticed and said the tires were wearing a little weird. I already knew I had a problem from there. I brought it to a reputable local front end shop and they found broken springs in the front! I called Ford to complain and they said that there was an extended customer courtesy on the front springs 10 years or 140K, but I did not qualify any longer - 80K on the car but a year too late. I said, “NHSTA says it’s a safety hazard, so I don't understand why you would not be interested in taking care of your customers and their families?” The rep. repeated the same speech and said the engineers often review these reports and could address this again in the future. So now, I'm stuck with another suspension bill.

    This is why people leave the brand, a little help builds loyalty.

    Coil springs broke in 2003 Taurus with 75,000 miles. I noticed the car had a flat tire. Upon further inspectio, the driver's side coil spring broke and is stuck in the tire! I can't believe there is no recall for this. I would have hated to be driving down the road at 70 mph and have it break.

    I financed a vehicle two and a half years ago, at 9.00%, but they've been charging me much more than that. In July 2011, I owed $17,678.00. I pay $399.00/mo., yet as of today, I still owe $16,100.00. This cannot be right. Do I have any recourse, please? Thank you.

    I had a voluntary repossession in 2002, 10 years ago, which was charged off, according to Experian. They've ruined my credit since then, and expect me to pay interest on the property I don't even have. For 4 times, the write-off in 2008 according, to Experian now put another judgement I bought in Colorado. The judgement is in Missouri. Something isn't right. I need advice! Ford Motor Credit Customer Service is not, and has not done anything but repossess it, sell it, and write it off in 2008. Is this right? I don't have the property, and no change in my credit report. I need some help, and maybe some constructive advice in a letter, if possible. Can I avoid bankruptcy, after all this?

    My husband was pulling out of the lot from work and the whole right front of the car went down. He got out of the car and noticed the brand new tire was flat. When the mechanic at work went to help him put on the donut, they noticed that the spring and strut had broken sending a piece of spring into the new tire shredding it like a can opener. I had just bought 4 brand new tires about 2 months ago and had to buy another new tire. I also had to buy new struts and springs which were not cheap. I had to borrow money to get the job done.

    I have a 2002 Sable. I was at work when I noticed that I had a flat tire. No biggie. Someone at work changed it and could not get the tire off. After a few minutes, they realized that the spring had broken and was logged in the tire. So naturally I had to have it towed to the shop. This problem cost me $968. I had to have the front springs replaced along with the lings that go with this and a new tire and I am just back at work after two years.

    2001 Sable rear spring broke in three and the front one has been broken and punctured the front tire covered under a recall. The ford told us that the rear one's were not. Also, I have a 2003 mountaineer; the rear spring broke but I was told that it was not a recall. I am not taking a chance and I am changing the fronts as soon as possible.

    No one was injured but my money. No more Fords for us. They'll lose in the long run.

    My dad had an accident in his 2007 Ford Taurus two weeks ago. His airbags did not deploy. He was wearing his seatbelt but they did not lock like they were supposed to. He suffered a bad cut on his forehead when his head hit the steering wheel, and has knocked him unconscious. He died a few days ago.

    If the airbag had inflated, it probably would've saved his life. Instead, now I have no father.

    After my Ford Expedition caught fire in the parking lots while sitting overnight, I took it to the dealership under a recall I found out about when I called them. They have had my car 3 days and they just called to tell me they did the 2 recalls but nothing is working that was damaged by the fire (brake lights, turn signals, hazard lights) and that would be my responsibility!

    I have a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport-2 door. The truck hit ice and slid at 40 mph into the detaining wall on a highway. It spun around and bashed in the front of the car. My son hit the steering wheel with his face, because the air bag did not deploy. No light ever indicated that the airbag was malfunctioning. There is no way anyone could have known that the airbags would not deploy.

    Backing out the driveway, I heard a loud snapping sound. I read about these problems before, so I pulled the car into the shop to have a look. I was thinking the spring never punctured the tire so I cut 2 inches off the coil to save the tire, and now upon further inspection, the other three springs have fractures in them so a replacement of all 4 struts and springs is a must now.

    I brought my 2001 Taurus wagon in to have snow tires installed on Nov. 23, 2011 and the mechanic said that I had a cracked left front coil spring but that it was part of a recall, so it wouldn't cost anything to replace. I scheduled an appointment and was told the "offer" expired on Sept. 29, 2011, which is 10 years from the purchase date of the vehicle. I called Ford to find out why they never told me of this and they claim they sent out notices, which they didn't, at least not to me. I'm the only owner of the vehicle and live at the same address as I did when vehicle was purchased.

    Ford wouldn't budge on this. I also noticed I had a suspension/strut service done in Oct. 2005. Shouldn't the dealer have noticed the recall or service bulletin at that time? This is my last Ford, that's for sure. It's gonna cost me between $700 and $1,000 to repair. I'm also selling all my Ford stock.

    I have a 2006 Ford F-150. Right after starting the truck the drivers side air bag blew in my face. It was like a bomb. The airbag exploded with such great force causing chest bruising, and lacerations, and little burns all over my arms and face. The bag started smoking and burning little holes in it, filling my lungs with smoke. I never received a recall for this. I took my truck to ford service yesterday, and they are being really nice to me.

    On Oct 2010, my truck was parked and half hour later burst into flames. I have been run around by Ford for a year. I am now going to sue Ford after a year of being given the run around. It is clear it was caused by the cruise control switch. The truck is a 2002 Harley Davidson that was always maintained.

    I was going about 15 miles per hour after taking off from a stoplight. The truck started bucking and I could hear a popping sound from the engine. I pulled over and opened the hood and noticed the COP vibrating loose. I drove it 3 miles to the dealer. I opened the hood again and the COP was completely broken off. This was the second time this happened. Ford will not pay or own up to it because they have since fixed the issue in newer vehicles. They are waiting for these to be phased out so they can save money by turning their back on the customers. I am a US soldier and it's sad that I defend such spineless cowards!

    I had to replace all four struts and springs on our 2002 Ford Taurus; all four spring had broken. The right front spring broke and punctured the tire. Miles on it are 138,839 and I understand that struts need to be replaced but there is a big problem with the spring issue.

    It could have caused an accident and the approximate cost of four struts labor and tires is $1000.00.

    Repossession, took 3 years to pay off $4,892.00. I made the last payment of $150.00 in June, 2011. I have a letter from their attorney paid off, but it is still on my credit report as not paid. They promised to show the balance was paid, but haven't yet. I don't get anywhere with them, and their promise: "pay it and we will take it off credit" is **. They got their money at the auction and I paid the difference. They are mean while talking on the phone.

    I took my 2003 Ford Focus SE with 73,000 miles on it to get the alternator replaced and when it was put on the lift, the passenger side coil spring broke at the base. I am so thankful it happened there and not on the highway with my child in the car! I bought this car used in 2005 and I am worried after reading these posts about the other springs breaking also. I have had to have the sway bar links and a new ignition module replaced. These are all known problems to Ford, yet they do not recall the parts and continue to put them in newer models. This is the first and only Ford car I will ever own!

    My daughter came to pick me up from work and noticed that our 1999 F150 truck was not sounding okay. After I got in and begin to drive, smoke begin to come up from the dashboard. Within minutes, the truck was consumed by fire and smoke that we barely got out of the truck in time. The truck was a total loss. It was very traumatic for me and my daughter. It resulted to a total loss on a vechicle that was paid off. I could not afford another truck or 4X4 vehicle, so I now have a car with payments. And I just got a notice in the mail for the recall--for possible tank fractures and fire. Great timing. I think that Ford is a big rip off.
