I got my car serviced at a dealership and soon after all the engine oil leaked out. The check engine oil light came on. I called the dealership and they said I have Ford's roadside assistance so I'm covered. However you are only covered up to $100. The catch is Ford will hire a third party vendor to tow or work on your car, in my case, a tow truck. Even though the car had to be towed just $25 miles, the vendor asked for $250+ and Ford obliged. So I was on the hook for $150. Needless to say the entire process is super tedious and infuriating. Most of the service reps behave as if they are doing you a favor by just talking you. Don’t fall for this “service”.

Since 1959, I have been a loyal Ford owner/customer. I worked as a mechanic and service manager for a Ford dealership back in the 60s for almost 10 years at which time I attended Ford Motor company classes in White Plains NY and have dealt with many of the factory representatives and corporate people. So I know a little about Ford. Back then and beyond for quite a number of years, Ford Motor company promoted consumer satisfaction as one of their major concerns. As of late, I cannot state that any longer.
Ford's quality control has diminished to a low I could have never expected, not only with the manufacture of their automobiles but also the arrogance, disrespect and sheer lack of concern for the consumer. We all are aware of the fact that mechanical things can inherit defects from time to time and some are not the fault of Ford Motor Company like the Takata air bag debacle. It is extremely difficult to remedy a situation as large as this and this is where customer service comes in but Ford has a problem with customer service. They are poorly educated in the field, have no power to get anything done or render any assistance for your concern. Instead, they become frustrated and arrogant and leave you stranded and helpless directing you to "take it up with your dealership" of which if that were acceptable I would not be calling Ford Motor Company.
Among many recent scenarios that have taken place with Ford in the last few years, including a 2011 Mustang with transmission problems that could not be repaired by the dealership that being Dana Lincoln Mercury of Staten Island NY or the so called engineers that came to check the car, I finally had to "lemon law" it and had Ford take it back after 8 months. The lawyer that handled my case was great at no cost to me, Ford customer service, horrible. After that was settled, I made the mistake of purchasing a 2012 Mustang from the same dealer, Dana Lincoln Mercury of Staten Island NY. Same lack of concern from Ford over a problem with dash gauge clear plastic that was delaminating and blurring vision of gauges and radio.
Ford Motor company when contacted, told me it was my fault for using some form of chemical that caused it to delaminate even though it was delaminating from the inside of the clear plastic, not the outside. Then there was a problem with paint bubbling on the hood of the car. The skin of the hood is aluminum and the frame is made of steel. These two types of metal cannot touch without causing a chemical reaction which causes aluminum to oxidize causing the paint to bubble. Paint problems, if you check with Google, has been going on with Ford since the year 2006. You would be amazed at the depth of which this paint problem has gone on and not been exposed. Ford's solution,"Sorry can't help you. It's probably something you have been using while washing the car. You cant repaint it, oxidation never stops once it starts." My fix, purchased a fiberglass hood for $1400.
The latest situation is with my wife's 2007 Mustang with 21,000 miles on it and a DEFECTIVE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATOR. Now I know it's difficult to repair thousands upon thousands of cars and obtaining all of those parts from the manufacturer is almost impossible. We waited 2 years from the first recall letter and understood that it is important to recall the newer cars first. So we waited. Checking with the dealer from time to time. Finally we received a letter from Ford that our parts for the 2007 Mustang are now available, call your dealer. We did, set up an appointment, brought the car in just to be told that the parts are not in yet, even though Ford said they were. The service manager assured me that the part is now available and they would order the part and call when it came in. They never called and when I called them, they said they would have to order the part.
Here we go round in circles. After 4 attempts with the dealership I contacted Ford Motor Company. It took 3 phone calls to get to a representative that understood my problem and only because I was able to "understand" him and he understood me. He contacted the dealership, Dana Lincoln Mercury and ordered the part needed for the 2007 Mustang. He also completed the task and made an appointment for me to have it done that coincided with the arrival of the part. I was shocked. Brought the car in on that day at 8 AM and was told that there is no stock on the part needed for my car. Went back home and called Ford Motor Company, tried to explain my problem, spoke to someone who spoke very bad broken English and could not help me at all. At that time I called back and spoke to someone else and asked to be escalated to a supervisor with no success.
That customer service representative told me that I had no such recall on that car. The next representative said he would call the dealer, put me on hold and came back and said there were no service advisors available at the dealership to speak to. I said, "there are 9 of them there", call back. After he got arrogant with me, I got him to call back. At the same time I called the dealer and spoke to a service advisor. The Ford representative came back on the line and told me again that he could not get to talk to a service advisor. I had to stop. The level of frustration was just too great. I later called Ford customer service again and requested a supervisor. I was told that one would contact me within 48 hours.
At this time, I am awaiting their call. If I do not receive a call shortly, I am going to contact local news agencies and the pertinent Government agencies for assistance. Remembering what you have previously read and hopefully you have googled "Ford bubbling paint" be advised, Ford has made an all aluminum pickup truck this year. I don't know how they're keeping the paint on it but I would investigate it further if you are thinking of buying one. Leasers have no problem, just give it back. I think that's why Ford quality control does not exist any longer.
It doesn't have to. And by the way, I have found out that the dealership, Dana Lincoln Mercury of Staten Island NY, has no loaner cars available. It seems that they have become inundated with a large amount of transmission problems that have taxed them to the limit but you will never hear about that either. I will never purchase another Ford as long as I live even though I am a die hard Mustang lover. Very sad. You have been "Advised."

Defective Sunroof issue in 2015-2017 models - Warranty expired & about 2 month after that I left my vehicle out & it rained heavily. I found water dripping near the framework on the passenger side, between the windshield & door. The floor mat was full of water. I dumped it out - tried to dry out the carpet. It was so saturated I couldn't get it all out. Then when driving it I actually heard swooshing sounds when I came to stops. Meanwhile I thought it was some fluke or the bad rainstorm. Then when we washed @ the Morrie's Ford car wash, we noticed it again. So we looked online & sure enough there were many others who reported the same or similar issues.
Meanwhile mold had developed & Morrie's said I did have the defective part/sunroof. Filed a claim & the best Ford will do is only cover Half the cost to replace their defective sunroof. I am going to file a complaint with our Atty. General. I paid once for this feature when I bought it brand new. I should not have to pay for it again due to it being a defective sunroof. Morrie's tried cover up this issue also when I first reported it to them. Lying to me saying someone vandalized my vehicle by removing all the weather stripping on the roof. There's not any on the roof on any of the Ford trucks where this service advisor tried to point out. Very disgusted.

Bought a 2018 F-150 XLT FX4 off road in May of 2018 and have many of issues. The major issue is the warped dashboard. Ford knows about the issue but will not do anything about it. Many of the new car trucks on the lots have this issue. The other issues that you need to be made aware of is; leaking water at the fire wall onto the brake pedal (3rd time in the shop and can't find the leak), both fog lights replaced because of broken on the inside, both drive and passenger seatbelts had to be replaced, 2 tail light bulbs replaced before realizing that the house was leaking and holding water, and the transmission has been looked at more than 5 times now. Every little thing that was covered by warranty has found its way on to Carfax. The price in may was $60,000.00 now because of the work the value of the truck is only $37,000.00. Be careful.

Our Ford Explorer 2015 has an issue with the anti-lock braking system activating on sharp turns. Almost caused us to careen off the road and Ford won't recall or fix it. Stay away from this vehicle. We took it into a local repair shop and they said it was the sensors in the wheels getting clogged with film, but even after cleaning them the issue persisted. This is a serious safety issue that can cause a major accident if not fixed.

I have had most of the issues mentioned in other complaint threads; and then some. Just recently, I had more Edge issues when three (3) ignition coils exploded under light acceleration. Brought car to my mechanic, since FORD has been expensive and fixes never seem to be fixes, plus vehicle is out-of-warranty. This round of repairs was first estimated at $800 but after coils were replaced - they blew again, as the computer was shorting and surging the coils. My new estimate is $2000 for the coils and a new computer. My Edge has 140k miles and I was pondering even fixing the vehicle. Since I was already committed to the initial $800 repair, even if I chose to junk it afterwards, I decided to go with the fix. I pondered trying to use an aftermarket computer but mechanic said vehicle would have to be towed off his lot, as he could not allow vehicle to be driven. Apparently it is classified as an explosion/fire concern.
Mechanic was actually surprised that vehicle didn't catch fire when the coils burst under the surge when computer malfunctioned while I was driving it. Prior issues: This issue is second time that I have had to replace ignition coils; first time was around 60k miles. As I think about it now, I can't help but think that this computer may be the root cause of my other Sync related issues. Those issues include: Sync GPS doesn't work at all. Ford wants $300 to reprogram for 4th time. I refuse. Back-up camera not going off after car is removed from reverse and placed back in Drive. Frequent battery replacements due to high draw of electronics.
Other issues include: 3 different doors had sensors (including latches) replaced. I had to pay $700 for each as I couldn't worry about wife being stranded with 4 yr old (at the time). Power steering has never seemed right but no fix other than topping off fluid. Car master brake cylinder failure (first time car was confiscated) also caused premature brake wear and replacement of rotors and pads. However, the main reason that I will NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN is the customer service and constant assertions that this is MY FAULT and NOT THEIR FAULT.
My brake issues baffled me. On my first three trips to Ford service, the service reps said that they didn't see, hear or feel any issues with the brakes; even with a published "possible recall" concern in their hand. They treated me like I was lying about the issue. On fourth visit, the vehicle was held as unsafe and I was given a rental car. Turns out that it was such a common safety recall that the part was not available and back-ordered for two weeks. The faulty master cylinder caused premature pad wear and rotors required replacement as well. Go figure that the pads were a few weeks out of warranty when they needed to be replaced again.
While on the topic, FORD OEM parts are horrible. Ford Corporate was not happy with my call from the dealership and they did not comply with my demands to remove me from their mailing list. To make matters worse, I was billed for the rental car because of poor accounting between dealership and rental agency. Thankfully, I noticed the charge on my credit card statement because I was never told that I was being billed. Rental agency just billed the card that I was required to place on file for incidentals. I fought for 3 weeks between two companies before they found where THEY WENT WRONG. So now I am sitting here - writing this review - wondering what else will go wrong with this vehicle after this round of repairs.

While shopping for a vehicle at Viva Ford North Desert Blvd, El Paso TX, I experienced a total lack of integrity by a salesman and management. The salesman I corresponded with was nice at first as we discussed my purchasing a used vehicle. The vehicle had a knocking noise in the rear but the salesman said the shop mechanics would find out what it was and let me know. I then agreed to purchase the vehicle for $11K contingent on the noise being fixed. They wrote up the deal with all the costs. I explained I would be out of town for a week and wanted to put money down to lock in the sale. The salesman said management would not allow me to put money down on the vehicle until they fixed the noise, but assured me the "vehicle is yours" and that they would keep it off the sales lot.
After continuing to refuse to take a down payment they would only allow me to take picture of the write up, all while assuring me they would not sell the vehicle and that we had a deal. During the week that I was out of town the salesman called to let me know the noise was fixed. I asked him how much I could put down on the vehicle, to which he responded he had to ask his manager, but would call me back. After two days went by with no return call, I called the salesman with no answer so I left a voicemail asking him to return my call. He never returned this call either.
After returning to town I went directly to the dealership from the plane to pick up the vehicle. The salesman informed me that he was called out of town for a "family emergency" and the vehicle was sold. I responded with we had a deal written on paper and that he assured me the vehicle was mine and no longer on the sales lot! The salesman said some other buyer paid $13K ($2K more than my deal) so they sold the vehicle. Then the salesman had the nerve to say, "well I have other vehicles available". This location obviously deceived me and is more interested in making money than being honest with their customers.

I would like to give kudos to the entire sales team at Five Star Ford Stone Mountain, but a special note of thanks should go to my salesperson Michael **. He displayed phenomenal professionalism and patience with me for the entire 6 plus hours I was at the dealership. He made me feel right at home and did not pressure me in any way. He understood what I wanted and what I didn't want. I left a happy customer with my 2018 F-150. Thanks again to Michael **. I will be a repeat customer.

61000 Miles Transmission went out and of course is out of warranty. Never again will Buy a Ford Vehicle. Also too many recalls. A/C Problems had to change a/c compressor at 45000 Miles. Door Locks Problem.

I bought a 2016 F450 truck. I bought it brand new. I put 16203 miles on it. It's now 1 year old. The ac is not blowing so I bring it to the dealership that I bought it from. They tell me the evaporator coil is clogged up. They want $2400 to repair. They tell me this is not covered under warranty. I have a brand new truck with no air conditioning. I also bought a 2018 F450 and a 2018 Explorer for my wife. 3 trucks in one year from Ford. It seems like they would be a little more interested in fixing the problem instead of trying to make me pay $2400 to fix a brand new truck???

Ford truck blew the spark plug out the head at 21,000. Dealership said, "We can replace the engine on your dime but cannot guarantee this won't happen again as it is a design problem and not enough threads were in head from manufacturer and would likely happen again". Ford's call center overseas denies there was ever an issue, once confronted with their patents they filed to correct the issue they hang up.

I purchased a used 2015 Ford Fusion. I understand that there are a few things I would need/want to do with the car to use the features available. The car came with one key, which has been set to the ‘MyKey’ feature. I asked to have it reset at dealership as it is the only key and I am limited on what I can do - I am locked out of some radio channels and while I might be locked down to a ‘Max Speed’, I haven’t hit it yet. Their answer - "The only way YOU can do that is to buy another key - $300." (Great customer service to make me work instead of offering alternate solutions to assist me). The car does not have the owner's manual, therefore I don’t have the code for the keyless entry. Their answer - "Sure, $60." Never mind, thanks for trying to make me give you more money to be able to get into the car you made. There are other things I would like to do with the car, but I stopped asking afraid it would just cost too much. Very disappointing.

I bought a used 2005 Ford Coachmen RV. All the seals leaks around the windows and around a vent which allows an outlet to get wet which causes a GFCI breaker to trip every time it rains. I also have a friend that has a '99 Expedition. His seal leaks around the front windshield causing the computer to short out. I have a friend with a '03 Ranger that leaks and causes the anti theft to engage. There's several cases like this I know of and Ford hasn't recalled these vehicles.

I know Ford sells quite a few vehicles, but I hope that none of you Ford owners get a Lemon! I did and they agreed to do the right thing, but 5 shop visits, 65+ days out of service, and 6 months after they agreed to refund/replace a truck that is not even a year old... I am still waiting! All information has been turned in and have now gone thru 2 reps that do nothing including answering phone calls or returning emails. What is going on Ford Motor Company?

Warning to all Ford F-150 owners for this recall. Ford will not give owners a loaner vehicle during this repair. It appears that Ford really doesn't care whether or not their customers are injured as a result of their faulty vehicles nor do they care about the logistical difficulties of not having a loaner vehicle. Shame on you Ford!

Paint is bubbling along edge of hood on passenger side. I understand, from other stories on Internet, prior TSBs and lawsuits, that this is due to contamination during painting (the hood is aluminum so would not rust). Ford and Ford dealer have no apparent interest in making this right.

I purchased my Ford F450 Platinum (6.7 diesel fuel system) new. I have had this truck serviced at great expense since it was new and usually ahead of schedule. If ford service said it needed something I did it. If Ford service said it might need something I did it. I am now at 87k miles and had my High Pressure Fuel system go out. Ford dealer is telling me 10K dollars. Telling me I have purchased bad fuel but when they took a fuel sample there was no water in the fuel. So now Ford won't stand good for their product, the insurance probably won't pay for it because there is no evidence of contamination, and that leaves one option. I am going to be out 10K dollars. Not to mention at a time I am retiring from the military. Just plain sad. I am through with Ford.

4 tires replaced after 4K due to excessive noise and poor ride... Goodyear asymmetrical all season. Headliner replaced twice. Original headliner ripped 2 days after I bought the car. Entire convertible top replaced. Both rear passenger windows replaced. Steering wheel replaced due to defective leather. Engine goes thru 1 quart of oil every 4K miles. Car currently has 14K miles on it. Dealer is doing good job addressing issues but this is not a quality built vehicle...

This is a letter from one of your first-time customers. In the grand scale I mean very little to your company as far as your bottom line. I am one of the millions that pay you every month and understand that with a corporate company like yourselves I don’t really have any pull in the service relationship we have. However, I believe it is therapeutic to encapsulate this experience I have had with you, and also to caution others who may want to purchase a FORD vehicle in the future. I don’t believe in getting something for nothing. I do believe in fair and honest treatment and that’s where you have failed Ford.
I leased my FORD Eco Sport 2018 in January 2018. Unfortunately, I was in an accident in late February 2018. Nothing huge just a fender bender but as I write this, it is September 13th, 2018 and I still don’t have my car back from the shop. You see you sold a vehicle that had no parts ready for it because they are made in India. (I’m not really sure if the location is to blame but that’s just what I have been told.) You take no responsibility for that, and believe that while it is unfortunate it is also not something you have any plan of action for or will do anything about. I have called, emailed, Facebooked, tweeted, and hoped for someone to help me and yet still there is nothing you “can” or will do. I have now not had a car for months while still paying my lease agreement. You wouldn’t even lend me a rental, so I had to pay for my own. $778.00 and one month later and I have just decided to be carless.
I am 30 years old and I have a family. I have a 90-year-old grandfather I take to the doctors and shop for so I've had to rely on friends and neighbours to go everywhere. I must Uber to and from work every day because I must make sure I can pay my ford credit bill this month for a car I haven’t seen in a half a year. I have spoken to two dealerships and they tell me stories about all their customers who are waiting on parts for the Eco Sport with no answers or timelines. How discouraging is this? My first new car and all I feel after this whole experience is abandoned and forgotten buy a company who made about 7.6 billion dollars last year off the very people they won’t help.
I have called your customer service line; whose sole purpose is to never actually help anyone but rather read the same four lines of script sent down from some corporate manual to ensure that: A. Ford never has to help anyone. B. To make sure that the customer is so defeated and frustrated by the end of the call you won’t want to call back. On that front Ford I say that you have succeeded. As I have been doing some digging to see who else I could call I have seen thousands of terrible reviews about everything this letter is about and clearly no one cares. There should be a support group for every customer you have let down because honestly it's outright abusive at this point.
My family has always owned FORDS. Generation after generation it is the only car we buy, and after this whole experience I don’t see myself being a FORD customer in the future. Even though I feel very defeated by this whole situation I am still hoping that someone will read this and have a little heart to understand that I am only looking for what is fair, for a paying customer and what is right for a customer who has valued FORD their entire life.

Ford Motor Company: your recall 18S20 has affected my vehicle. It is stuck in park because your bushings corroded and the cable between the gearshift and the transmission is inoperable. YOU have no solution at this time, but the dealership CAN fix it for $750 at my cost! And no rental!

I believe someone may have tried to break in my 2015 Explorer. I never realized that my door handle was plastic. All it took was a screwdriver to break it. Fortunately they were scared away. Otherwise they could have pried the lock and got into my vehicle. This handle is used on 2011 - 2017 models, part number 78218A14. This piece of plastic cost $68.50 plus tax. It is poorly made. They wanted a fortune to install it so we are taking it to a body shop who will install it for $30. Be aware that they change prices on you from one day to the next. We were quoted $68.50 on Friday and then on Tuesday they wanted $75. Ford used to be my favorite car manufacturer, but is not anymore. This vehicle has a lousy paint job that Ford would not stand behind, issues with the battery, and seat belt problems.

I know many of you already know how angry I am at Ford, but let me just tell y'all about how Mark Martin Ford and Kia in Batesville, AR has made it worse. Keep in mind, I've already had to have three other recall issues fixed (one of which is the clutch which is getting fixed again). So my car had stopped turning off for a week or so when I pressed the off button. Even when I left the vehicle and took my keys, it sounded like the engine continued to run for another ten minutes until it went off although the internal stuff turned off. On top of that, it had been hesitating to accelerate and shuddering, making it difficult and sketchy to drive. Which by the way, is an issue of which a class action lawsuit was filed against Ford and Ford lost a couple years ago.
My battery had been tested a few days before this even happened and it was good. Almost a week ago, the engine wouldn't turn on when I tried to start it, but all of its internal lights and components turned on and wouldn't shut off. It became a very loud blinky, electrical hassle to get them to turn off. My cousin came over to try to jump my battery but nothing happened. He tested it at that time and it showed the battery was fine. Ford towed it to their service department and I didn't hear anything except that they wouldn't be able to look at it until late Friday. So I didn't hear anything until Monday when they said my problem was I just had a bad battery. And that I would have to pay at least $130 for that. They also said they would have to replace my clutch but that would be covered under warranty.
At no point did they explain why my car wouldn't shut off when it should have, but they said it'll be ready today. I said I disagreed on the battery and the service manager said well you can have your old battery back and not pay a thing then. But still no explanation of why my car wouldn't shut off and said that couldn't be related to my battery going bad "overnight". Mark Martin Ford had my car for two days before even looking at my car. So in my mind, my battery went bad somewhere between that Thursday morning and whenever they looked at it on Friday or Monday morning.
I called Ford customer service corporate where they gave me a case number and told me the service manager at Mark Martin Ford and Kia would call me about it which didn't happen. When I called him, he told me he didn't even know what a case number was and said I needed to call Ford. I called Ford and they said it's the dealerships problem, call them. Both of them hyperfixated on the fact that my battery was dead and didn't explain or care about the other issues. So, how they are going to resolve it: put my old, now bad battery back on and I can take it as is, no payment necessary. Instead of fixing the actual problem of my car not turning on and off when it should. Sounds like the professional type of Ford service you'll hear about when you get put on hold for forty minutes.
They both said maybe I should talk to the manager. Flashback to six months after I even bought the car when I talked to the manager and he told me it was my problem because I bought the car to begin with. This after I had already had a leak, had to spend a month and a half to even get a spare key, and dealt with one or two recall issues where after they fixed it, I had problems after. He and Ford, as a company, have reminded me how bad of a reputation Ford has and why I never want to deal with them again. I have no idea why I let myself get talked into buying a Ford in the first place but it was a mistake all around. I want to urge y'all to never buy a Ford Fiesta or Focus at the very least and to reconsider going to Mark Martin Ford in the future for a car. I paid full asking price for this car and it has plagued me and will continue to plague met until I get rid of it.

First Ford Truck and within 5k miles, check engine light comes on. It goes on and off, can't be reproduced and now at 20k miles, it has been in the shop for 3+ weeks 2 different times waiting to be "fixed". The first time, dealer could not reproduce the problem after 3 weeks and within 2 days of me getting it back, the light came back on. Now, it has been at a different dealer for 2 + weeks and while they diagnosed it, they have too many vehicles in front of mine to look at it sooner than another 1.5 weeks. No loaners available. Have to leave it at the dealer or I lose my place in line. Terrible customer service. Big let down - will be looking to trade this FORD Junk in for a different brand once they ever get it fixed.
UPDATE ON 09/26/2018: Overall, when I purchase a new vehicle for 36+k, I do not expect it to have engine problems. After leaving the truck at the Ford Dealer for 4+ weeks, it was finally completed. I spent a fair amount of time explaining to their Service Manager all of the hassles I have had with this brand new truck. The dealer's Ford Rep agreed to offer a Premium Extended Warranty to 'restore' some good will. Having Ford offer a Premium Extended Warranty for the “hassle” is not really going above and beyond to help customers. It is expected at the very least.
After calling into Ford Customer Service and getting someone that basically reads from a ‘script’ and does not really care about the customer, my confidence in Ford’s customer service is completely gone. In addition, there is hardly any management of dealers and how they provide customer service on new Ford vehicles. Not impressed. In fact, while this was going on with my Ford Truck, my Chevy Traverse Check Engine light came on. I took it to the Chevy Dealer we normally go to and the customer service was stellar, it was night and day difference between the Ford Dealer. I get each Dealer needs to determine how they go to market and serve their customers, but, Ford does not seem to care as long as people buy their vehicle.

MY 350 FORD DUMP TRUCK BROKE DOWN ON 6/23/18 AND HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP, FORD IN PLYMOUTH, MA SINCE THAT DAY AND IT IS UNDER warranty with parts back ordered. This is a joke, the truck has 4,500 mile and bought for work and I am without it for 9 weeks of my busiest time of the year, Ford has really failed me.

Car broke down, 4 hours later still waiting for a phone and/or tow truck. Every time you call the number for the roadside assistance, you get asked the exact same questions as if you aren’t already in the system and haven’t already called over 6 times! What kind of crap is this? In a bad neighborhood, no AC since the car is down and no one seems to know why we don’t receive calls or text messages or why we haven’t been assisted. What’s the point of calling it Roadside Assistance. You’re assisting me to stay on the side of the road??? You don’t need anymore bologna, 'cause Ford you’re full of it already. This has convinced us to take back the Ford and never do business with them again.

I will never purchase a Ford vehicle again. The customer experience I have received in exemption of maybe 2 people I spoke with has been horrible. I am selling the truck I bought through Ford privately and I was given the wrong information over and over again. FORD LOST $23,000. Advised me to resubmit the payment of $23k and ended up PROCESSING BOTH payments so we are talking about $46,000 of a problem. They have offered no solutions to the issue, at one point when I was transferred to a Payment support specialist I was told "Can’t help you" and the other rep asked this person "why can’t you" and the rep started to argue with her.
Ford has repeatedly given me incorrect information, I have heard one thing from one person and another from another person, I was advised to make a double payment after my check was LOST. How does a big company like FORD loses a $23k check, oh and I must add. It is not humans that handle the money. It is computers. So if anyone is trying to mail any money to Ford, don’t, because if it gets lost, no one will be able to tell you where it is or how to find it. Really disappointed. I wish I could sue and if this isn’t fixed and my double payment of 23k goes through I will. Shame on you Ford.

I bought a 2016 Ford Focus SE with the 6 speed transmission. At 20K had the computer flashed, noticed excessive shutter at low speeds while turning and accelerating. I contacted the dealer and like they tell everyone to adjust their driving habits which I did, I use this car for business and has a lot of highway miles, I am currently at 92,000 which I planned on retiring this car at 100k to give to my wife. At 88,000 miles the transmission started slipping between 2nd and 3rd gear, unable to kick down at 50 mph to pass anyone without major slipping, in stop and go traffic it smashes into gear hard.
Took it into the dealer and they say it's 1800 to replace the clutches and seals and they refuse to replace it even after I told them that they are responsible because this has been a huge parts failure for years, never had a transmission fail this early on a Ford. Ford Motors still refuses to replace it because I am outside my warranty and even when obviously this wearing out obviously started a long time ago to already be bad before 100k, as the 2016 models get more miles on them we will be seeing more and more 2016s with the same issues as the previous models.
I bought Ford because it's American made so I thought when really it's Mexican made, if I am going to buy foreign I will take my chances on Japanese at this point. Sorry Ford. I used to love you but since you have taken 2 weeks and still haven't giving me an answer on a approval to fix your massive clutch issue leaving my family in jeopardy without a safe car to drive. We're finished. Ford still tries to sidestep their problems even when there are so many people with the same parts issue is unacceptable.

Our key was locked inside the car. I called them at 9:30 pm on 7/6/2018. They set up C&J towing in Madison, GA(50 miles away) to come unlock our vehicle and they would be there in 90 minutes. Two hours later I was told they would be there in 15 minutes. They never showed up and would not answer my calls. It was 4:00am before they called someone else to come out. Which would be 45 minutes before they would get there. Which they did show up and unlocked the door. We were traveling home from our vacation and had been on the road since 9:00am that morning. I really don’t understand why they called someone so far away to start with. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this service.

I had a 2011 Ford Edge. Vehicle had high miles and I expect things to go wrong over time but this is just STUPID ENGINEERING!!! When the water pump goes on 3.5L engine it leaked coolant into the oil because it is built into the engine. No warning, and water in the oil basically destroyed the engine unless you are fortunate enough to catch it by fluke. If you are proactive and replace the water pump you are looking at 15 hours of shop labor plus parts and but there is no recommendations to do this in any manual. My motor is ruined and I will never buy a Ford again. WHAT A HORRIBLE DESIGN! There are several Ford engines with this design. This is a motor that is designed to fail. Dump your vehicles before this happens to you.

I DID NOT THINK I WOULD LIKE A FORD SINCE I ALWAYS DROVE A TOYOTA. HOWEVER, I HAVE REALLY FALLEN IN LOVE WITH FORD EDGE. The ride is smooth and it drives great. I have this car over a year and have had no trouble with it. All my kids and grandchildren like driving it also. There is lots of cargo place in the rear which makes it great for traveling. Great little SUV, which makes it easy to park as well.

My Ford 500's ride is decent. And I have the 6 speed tranny. I would not have bought if it had the cvt tranny. My car has lots of leg room in the back seat, storage spaces, and trunk room. It has good mileage and acceleration, too. I like the dual heat control in the front. Dual climate control has stopped a lot of fights. :-) It has been very dependable. I like the radio controls on the wheel. However, the rear has air but not heat and that is stupid. The AC is on all the time unless you manually shut it off. Some blind spots are worse than other cars I have owned.

I like the sound system in the Mercury. Trunk is extremely roomy as well as the overall space and it's a pleasure to drive when it's not broke down. Love that the seats recline all the way back and the back seats fold in for added cargo space for the trunk. But I'm not really pleased with this car like I would have hoped to be. It has been unreliable on several occasions and it's giving me more headaches than pleasure breaking down on me. Also the console is way smaller than I expected and I wanted a deeper glove box. The drink holders aren't adjustable for bigger cups which is very aggravating. I also wanted the car to come with 5 star rally wheels instead of standard spare tire. I wish that the overall length was a little bit bigger and the access to certain areas under the hood was better aligned for easier working space and the doors and windows access for the back seats are made ridiculous.

My Ford Edge is black with sparkle in the paint and 22 in wheels. It drives smooth and has remote start. It is all wheel drive and includes a backup camera. The car drives well in the snow which we get a lot of here. The size of the car is perfect and the accessories. It has every option that you can think of. The interior is all leather. And overall, it's a nice car. However, the entire top is glass which is cold. The back does not hold very much without putting the seats down. Also, there is so many accessories that things can go wrong. Still, I love the car.

I have really enjoyed owning my Fiesta! It's such a fun car to drive, the acceleration is perfect, it zips through traffic and I love my sync system. And I really love the mileage I get out of the car. I can get almost 2 weeks of driving out of a single tank of gas! Moreover, I love the look of it. It's very modern and cute. Some people might view its small size as a negative but I genuinely have never felt cramped from the inside.

The 1998 Mercury Mountaineer is a durable reliable car and I was able to get a good deal. It was only $2000 and has over 150,000 miles on it. The color is dark green and I like how it has a sun roof and that it has all-wheel drive. We have owned this car for about two years and hasn't been expensive to keep up with maintenance. The car only gets about 12 miles to the gallon so I wish that the gas mileage could be improved and be like that of the Honda I used to own.

My overall experience with my Mercury Mariner is really good. I haven't had any problems with it and I bought it used one year ago. It's a 2006 and I love it. It's dependable and it's easy to drive. I like all the features it comes with too! I like the sunroof, the radio/cd player and it allows you to place several CDs in it at one time. It has automatic windows and they're tinted which is also a plus. I also like that it has good working air conditioning and the heat works good as well. The front seats have a button to heat them which is very nice to have on extra cold days. I would like it to have a GPS system but it doesn't. I could always add one but other than that, I don't have anything that I dislike about it. I would like it if the window tint was a little bit darker but I can always get that done.

The 2016 Ford Fiesta is a great first car for my twenty year old daughter. It is dependable, and I love the color and the shiny blue really stands out. I bought it new from a Ford dealership and they were amazing and answered all of our questions. My daughter fell in love with the car at the dealership and I felt she would be safe driving it. I also purchased a bumper to bumper warranty and I have never had to use it even once. I really love the car. However, it doesn't have much power to get up and go. The only thing that could make it better is if it had a built in GPS and if the price was cheaper.

The 2008 Mercury Mariner is a wonderfully comfortable car. It rides like a luxury vehicle. It also is a beautiful design and looks like an expensive vehicle. It goes well in all types of weather and repairs are fairly inexpensive. Love the adjustable seats and it has Bluetooth and wireless radio as well. The gas mileage is awesome. I love the hatch which has room to spare and it has 2 openings for easy packing and removing. I like the ground clearance too and I love the electric windows, the power seats. The radio and stereo are very nice and I can go about anywhere and the vehicle runs like a 4 wheel drive. I also love the leg room, my husband who is 6'2 fits well and is comfortable. I also like the roomy backseat so that the kids are not crowded.
The car is like a luxury car on a Pinto budget. Some of the body parts are hard to find though. And the radio could use better speakers. A better variety of colors and interior options could be offered as well. The windows need to have better tinting to them. Lighted mirrors would be nice. Also running boards and luggage racks should be standard.

My overall experience is very great with this Mercury Mariner. I live in the northeast and I haven't gotten stuck with this car at all. It is used, but it hasn't given me a problem. This vehicle has a lot of features that made me choose it. It was the first vehicle I test drove. I loved the sunroof, heated leather seats. I also like that it is AWD all the time. I enjoy the stock CD and sound. But I don't like the mpg of this car. It is a v6. I would have liked to have a navigation screen, a backup camera, and an information center with displaying mpg to empty and warning messages.

This is the second Ford Edge that we have owned and we really like the vehicle. It gets fairly good gas mileage for its size and is very comfortable and nice looking. We had both vehicles well past the warranty and found it to be very stable. No major repairs and only typical maintenance. We love the GPS and the two moon roofs. The area in the back will hold large items and is easy to push a button and lower the back seats to make even more room. The body style is very sharp and I love the heated seats. But the first Edge had a problem with the rear view window and I felt like I couldn't see as well as I should be able to. But the next one we bought had a little condensed mirror attached to the rear view mirror that enables me to see a wider area. We are very pleased.

I like that the Mercury Villager has removable seats which makes it very easy for me to put my youngest daughter in and out of the vehicle and that it has a security system that can keep my car safe. However, the automatic windows in the back and also the front driver's window does not fully want to work all the time. That has been the biggest problem that I have been recently facing and kind of wished they would have stuck with manual windows. I would also make it where the back was bigger to put more stuff like groceries in the "trunk".

I purchased a New 2017 F250 Lariat in June of 2017. IT IS A LEMON! I went through 5 trips for repairs with no success. The vehicle drifts to the right among other things. I went through arbitration with the BBB. This was forced do to signing an agreement to arbitrate when I bought the truck. The arbitrator found the truck to be unsafe but allowed Ford one more chance to repair (another month) with the same results, UNSAFE. I was then awarded a buy back. With a substantial cost for 6200 miles accumulated. It has been nearly a month and Ford's repurchase department is not responding, I am told any day now. Thirteen months of living with a $70,000 lemon and Ford acts like it is my fault. WARNING WARNING. Stay away from FORD. They don't care after they get your money.

This “car” (Ford Escape 2014) is the perfect example of why I’ll never own another Ford for as long as I can still drive. Major recalls (this one’s the special one that had engine overheating issues that would cause it to essentially meltdown). I had that issue 2 days after pulling off the lot, brand new. Most expensive thing I own outside of a home. It took 3 wks for that issue, and 2 days after, had a failure of the Sync system (that still never works as it should). At that time, I offered to spend more $ to upgrade to the model w/out the issues, and was told Ford can’t do that nor could they work with the dealer.
All told, this car has had something on the order of 15 recalls. I paid for the extended warranty, and at 1000 miles over the 50K, the turbo and coolant system failed (related to early overheating issues) locking the entire car up. Called for roadside, was notified that my warranty was expired, no roadside, no warranty. Spent hours (literally 10+ over 4 days) begging for some sort of help. Ultimately, just told the dealer to proceed w/ the repair, planning to continue revisiting W/ Ford for some sort of help. Dealer called to say there were no parts in stock, and best case was 3 months!! That’s no joke! And no offer of help with a rental.
Customer service means doing the right thing for the customer, and that doesn’t mean making that customer beg for assistance. Ultimately, after spending all the time, they covered it. Fast forward to today - at 56K, the transmission just popped up alerting me that it has failed and should be serviced immediately. So, I’m back on the phone w/ Ford and fully expecting pushback. Never ever again.

This Mercury is a 2005 yet still in great shape. It is comfortable. It drives great. This car has automatic seat adjustments that have proved to be so convenient. It is the second Marquis that I have owned. It has a really smooth ride. It's great on long trips. The color blue is my favorite. It starts in all kinds of weather so it is reliable. This car gets good gas mileage for a full size car. It has automatic mirror adjustments. I like that it has an automatic gear shift. I like the way the brakes work. I like that you can see out of the car well. I also like the sound of the radio and speakers.
It tells you the temperature inside and outside the car. It has plenty leg room and headroom. You don't hear a lot of outside noise. It is easy to handle. I would include a backup camera and a GPS though. Other than that it is a perfect car and I love it. I wouldn't care if it was a little be smaller but not much. I would like that indicator that tells you when you are too close to a car on the side. I would like side airbags too. I would like that feature that stops the car when you get too close in front. I would like that indicator that beeps when you back too close to anything. I would also like a seat warmer for the winter.

The Ford Five Hundred has been a great car for me and I really like it. It has leather interior and has lots of cup holders. I like the way the back seats fold down to give me more trunk space. I really enjoy the heated seats the best. So great in the winter time and they really help. But I would like the car to have four wheel drive for better driving during the winter snow season. It does seem to slide easy on slick streets.

I wanted a Ford Edge for 8 years. Went through a terrible illness with husband that forced him to stop working. So when we finally could afford a vehicle I knew what I wanted. I love my Ford Edge and I think my husband does too. We have always had a bigger car. And the Edge is very roomy, extremely comfortable for traveling and have not had any problem. I also love the way it drives. My Edge has a lot of extras and I like the heated seats, reclining back seats, sunroof and color. Also, the only thing I dislike is the color of carpet. It's tan and that's too light. Darker carpet doesn't show any wear. But still, I will only buy Edges.

My 2013 Ford Fiesta hatchback titanium required a tow in year 3 with no other issues other than the battery dying and the radio console freezing up a few times which I was able to fix myself. It is an American made car that was extremely well priced with attractive features such as moonroof, leather seats, heated seats, rear camera, GPS system, enhanced audio sound system that a lot of the foreign cars offer at their base price models. It came in a manual which was important to me and hard to find. Some of the car pieces are made of plastic though where it should not be. The hood latch and several metal pieces under the hood have seized which I find absurd since I take great care of my vehicle. The whole vehicle is dependent upon a computer system that can be quite finicky at times especially when wet or cold outside.

My husband's 2015 F150 has a recall on the door locks. When it was getting fixed, we were contacted that two of the door actuators were bad so they needed to be replaced. It was never confirmed, by us, that they should fix BOTH of them. When my husband got a call that his truck was finished, they said they ended up fixing both actuators and we were responsible for paying over $550. I will be contacting Ford for a refund. Horrible service.

Have thought to write reviews before, then decided not for fear of upsetting local dealership who keeps "my lesser half" on an even keel. The thing is, I just spent the full first day of my vacation trying to make sure my Ford was not going to screw me over on this trip. And this is the 4th or 5th time that the Ford has played a major role on a vacation--as saboteur each time. Have never had a vehicle that actively impacted vacations before. It's like the Ford knows! All I can relate it to, is going on vacation with a passive-aggressive person that you are obligated to take along. Not pleasant.
2016 New Ford: Dealership dragged butts getting customizations done, and even though gave weeks of lead time, was left taking loaner vehicle (without all the camping customizations) on the big trip I was excited that Ford was going to make amazing. 2016 First Camping Trip w/ *My* Ford: Had 3,000 miles on it. Camped in middle of nowhere with no cell coverage and no people. Ford blew its engine. Yes. It really did. A passing car relayed my info to the Platinum Plan Roadside Assistance for me (remember, I am left stranded in the forest). Ford's roadside assistance apparently told them I was too remote for them to send a tow. So they abandoned me. Left me in forest to die. Totally Benghazi'd me. But these *strangers* did not.
They called around and found a local tow guy who would go out there and get me and my new paper-weight: the Ford. The guy towed me to local dealership some 60 miles away. The Ford dealership could not be bothered on a weekend to get me a rental car, and was located outside of town. Me and dogs had to walk several miles into town and back out when Home Dealership from 200 miles away sent trailer to pick up the Ford. It turns out that each local dealer apparently has own way of handling warranty work and this other dealership did not consider me their problem since I did not buy it there, nor did they have any idea what this "Platinum Plan" amounted to.
2017 Flat Tire In Middle of Nowhere: Could not figure out the surprisingly complicated tire delivery system that had to be assembled and unlocked and operated. So tried calling Ford Roadside Assistance. They had no idea either. Nor could they send a tow truck because it turns out Platinum Plan only good for $100 tow. No worries! I eventually figured it out, just thought could make a quick call and get a minute of help to seed things up but spent an hour getting zero help instead. Made it home tired from expedition, and in dark, also having spent 2 extra hours in the dark getting tire changed.
2017 Flat Tire Near Home. Ok, this time I knew how to get tire down. But could not get flat wheel off truck! Had to call tow truck because wheel corrosion welded onto axle courtesy of Ford dissimilar metals causing electrolysis and corrosion. Sure, everyone uses aluminum wheels. Yet Ford is only one that wheel simply would not come off for me. I tried kicking it and almost broke foot. Tried prying it and damaged wheel. By the way, Ford Platinum Plan Roadside Assistance insisted I was over 60 miles away from my home or some such and so refused to tow me there (too far). However, the person was unable to make sense of where I was and could not even find me on map--so no idea how she knew the distance.
At any rate, having lived here for 20 years, I assured her I was only 10 miles from house but she refused or could not override what the system that did not know where I was at was telling her for the distance. I called the roadside assistance that came with my car insurance and they sent a tow truck... to change the tire. The tow guy had to get under truck that was up on jack and pound on wheel with 5lb hammer. He suggested I carry 5lb hammer, block of wood, and some extra jack stands to make truck somewhat safer for crawling under it and pounding.
2018 Flat Tire. Tried loosening lugs but lug wrench would not fit them?!? Had it been swapped at dealership? So made calls around neighborhood (over a few miles, I live in the country) and found one with a star wrench. Went and got it. Jacked up truck and wheel would not come off again. Tried pounding on it but had not invested in 5lb hammer yet. Presumed kicking it would not work. Did not bother with Ford's POS Platinum Plan Roadside Assistance. Called the roadside assistance I got separately through my car insurance.
They sent a tow truck. To change the tire. That guy was big and he gave the wheel a hard kick and it came loose. I am an AARP member and suspect I would have broken my foot. At any rate, got wheel swapped out. Next day I spent entire first day of my vacation on the Ford. It was a 70 mile round trip to take it to dealership to get patched. They could not he bothered and so it would take several hours for them to do it. I made a day of it and did some exploring to another town and left some lovely painted memorial rocks at a spot that was special to my departed ex. Rather than preparing for trip. Then I went to house, got the star and returned it to neighbor. Then rested a couple hours and went back to town to get patched spare. I took the truck. Here is where it gets extra interesting.
I had them rotate all the tires so if I need to change a flat they will be temporarily broken loose. IF YOU HAVE A FORD TRUCK, do this before any expedition. Regarding the lug wrench, that turns out to be another issue with Ford materials and engineering (like with the dissimilar metals and no coating/treatment to prevent corrosion welds). The lug nuts *swell*. That's right. Ford makes their lug nuts out of some high-tech passive-aggressive living metal that can sense a vacation and swell by a couple millimeters, rendering it impossible to remove them with the factory lug wrench!?! Who knew??? I did not. No, you cannot hammer wrench onto lug. I tried that. These things *really swell*. You have to get a 22mm wrench to fit on the 21mm lugs. You have to go buy a new wrench.
IF YOU ARE A FORD TRUCK OWNER buy a new lug wrench after a year or so, or it may simply be impossible to change a tire on your expedition and you could die in the wilderness from a flat tire. So both the corrosion weld and the swollen nuts issues are known by Ford. In googling, there have even been lawsuits! Yet, here we still are.
To wrap up this review, will say that back in the day, IBM had a list of priorities go meet when rolling out a new product whether it was a storage medium or a mainframe. Number 1 priority? Do the customer no harm. Customer safety was #1 priority. They did not want you to even cut your finger on a sharp edge. But Ford seems to think it is no big deal if you--surprise!--can't change your tire ‘cause their magical nuts swelled. Well they have not traveled with me.
Back in the day I drove all through Mexico and Central America. I was careful in choosing my rigs for the expedition: Nissan pickup (with *3* spare tires--I went through *all* of them), BMW motorcycle. They both served me well, had zero problems other than tires. One flat was in the dangerous Peten region of Guatemala. The military had been hunting down and killing armed highwaymen in the area right when I was passing through. I got a flat!!! On the Nissan, it took 5 minutes to swap that ** out and be on my way. Thank you God I did not take a Ford Truck.
IF YOU ARE A FORD TRUCK OWNER do not take it on any expedition where your life could be at risk from a breakdown. My experience is that they (based, admittedly, on only one ownership experience) simply are not reliable and trustworthy enough for that use. Use them as you would a Mini Cooper, for fun jaunts around town--except you can haul/tow stuff with the Ford! Not for an expedition, where lives are on the line and there is no safety net. Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, *Honduras*--even parts of Mexico? The magic lug nuts surprise would have almost surely cost me my life. Still might.
Look, I'm older now. Have had spinal surgeries and such. Really do not need to be under a truck raised up on a jack, pounding on wheel w/ 5lb hammer. Just might end up pinned under truck. So... if that happens and I am found dead in middle of nowhere under my hateful passive-aggressive Ford? Please someone sue the crap out of Ford for me, in my memory.

My experience overall was alright. My original salesperson was promoted and I didn't have a very good connection with my salesperson and a mistake was made with my loan documents. I decided to purchase a vehicle that I had been leasing. I liked that the Ford Fiesta was small and had good gas mileage. I also like the color and the size of the trunk. I wish it had a backup camera and some of the other features on the newer vehicles. I also miss the new car smell.

I bought my Ford Five Hundred 10 years old with only 85,000 miles and am enjoying it. I wanted one when they first came out, so I was delighted when I saw this one at such a good deal. Its seat is a couple inches higher than other cars, so it is easier for me to get in and out of with my old knees, and the A/C works great, which is a must in Texas! It's an older car, so it doesn't have wi-fi technology. I might install wi-fi if I thought I'd be keeping the car forever. The Mercury Mountaineer was fun to drive, spacious interior, good mileage on long drives, roomy cargo area, comfortable seating for driver and passengers. The air quality of the air conditioning system was very good. But they could improve the interior fabrics. It was a used car that I purchased from the owner. The price was great for the car and it was kept in very good condition. I like the fact that it was a sport utility vehicle which is what I wanted to buy. The owner provided all the maintenance records for the vehicle. I really liked the car as it was. I would buy another one of these vehicles with no questions or concerns.

The 90 Ford Thunderbird is a good running and dependable vehicle. Also, smooth, perfect and easy driving. Very comfortable and good gas mileage, too. Nice interior and awesome car. However, I dislike the seats leaning back and power steering, how the brakes work, the radio in it, the color of the interior, the car's weird looking color, the tires, the old radio cassette player and dashboard, the vehicle's slowness, how the seats set and how I have to pull seat up to drive the vehicle.

I bought the Ford Sport Trac new in MAY 2010. I had all the scheduled dealer maintenance completed as scheduled and the vehicle has never been off road. The four-wheel drive has been engaged twice, and the majority of the miles have been on the highway. Thirty miles from FT Leonard Wood the transmission began slipping. The vehicle was sluggish when accelerating from a stopped position causing a hazard in city driving or merging onto the interstate. The vibration increased on the highway at speeds above 50 MPH making it difficult to steer. When I arrived at my destination, I dropped it at the dealership the next day for service.
The service representative called and informed 2 maintenance lights were on for engine and transmission service. I agreed to move forward with the scheduled maintenance. The dealership called later that day and informed me I needed a new transmission but could not explain what the codes meant or the cost of repair. I asked for clarification, but no one ever got back to me with an update. I received a text my truck was ready for pick up, but the staff could not explain the problem. I am now at day seven and after countless phone calls to the dealership and Ford customer service line. No one can explain the issue or offer assistance because the vehicle is not under warranty!
My questions. Why is the transmission shot after only 37,000 miles? If it is replaced, what reassurance do I have this problem will not reoccur in another 37,000 miles? Is there assistance for a drive train component replacement that is supposed to last 100,000 miles and likely defective? Why is this a warranty issue and not a quality issue? The staff at the Ford customer service center try to keep bouncing back to the dealership and refuse to put me in contact with the regional manager or supervision staff. I finally got a call and they offered to replace the transmission for $5,000. Told me I could take it or leave it.

I haven’t purchased a Ford in over 25 years. And after purchasing a new 2018 model, I will never buy a Ford again! Like many Americans in the late sixties and seventies I became disappointed by the shoddy workmanship of domestic manufacturers and made the switch to Japanese vehicles. I didn’t feel good about it, but the Japanese cars were cheap, ran well and parts were plentiful. Approximately three months ago along with President Trump's desire to get Americas back to work again, I took a second look at the 2018 Ford. I bought one, at around $41,000. Then on May 4th my driving world came to an end. I hit a rock and damaged the undercarriage causing me to need a wiring harness replacement. I had the vehicle towed to the nearest Ford dealership.
When I inquired how long it would take to repair the vehicle I was informed the there were NO replacements in the parts division, or for that matter anywhere in the United States. No other dealers stocked even one, and the prospect for obtaining one was months away! I contacted Ford’s customer service department about two weeks ago. Three times I was brushed off with the ‘contact your dealer’ excuse, then finally one of your representatives hooked me up with a customer service agent that would be dedicated to resolving my dilemma. That was a joke. He called me one time but left no message or number. The second time he called he left his name and number. After that, I called him and left messages six times before finally reaching him. His attitude and condescending approach left little doubt of his non-concern.
He offered no solutions and accused me of being the problem when he heard that I had damaged the undercarriage of my car. He mentioned that he did consult with his manager who stated that Ford has no program to address this lack of parts issue. He inferred that Ford wasn’t wrong for not stocking a replacement part, because if I hadn’t need a replacement then there wouldn’t be an issue! I would think that Ford would have a fiduciary responsibility to stock parts on new models. This morning my new Ford still sits in a service bay and because the windows were not closed due to no electrical connection and no tarp was put on the vehicle to protect it, the interior is now laden with soot and grit.
The dealership employees were all very pleased and happy when I purchased my new Ford. But apparently that’s where it ends. Never again. Oh, by the way the assembly’s line on 2018 model that I purchased is still running, and new wiring harnesses like the one I need are still being pulled, but apparently these vehicles are for potential new customers, not for any current ones!

I bought and kept this Edge car for several years with three years in storage. The car ran extremely well for our family. I kept this car as our second that I bought in 2014. I later had to sell in 2015 before heading to Japan for three to five years. It brought what I thought to be top dollar.

The Ford 2005 is still working good. We purchase it in Newburgh, N.Y., brought here in 2006, in 2008 my son came down and needed a car and we gave it to him, he drove it from here to Florida where he moved. In November 2017 he purchase a newer car and pass that one to his younger brother and he brought it back to S.C. and it is still running good.

You should have NO stars for this rating of this company. This company should be issuing a recall for the problem with my truck (fuel tank collapse). This happens all of the time with trucks in the oil fields. It is a venting problem that gets clogged with dirt. Aren’t trucks designed to be in dirt? Cost is exorbitant and unnecessary. I would like Consumer Affairs to look into this problem. Imagine how many F-350 trucks are on the road and the potential of breakdowns is enormous. I think they allow this to happen to just line their pockets. Or maybe they put faulty parts on these trucks. They did have these issues back in 2012 on smaller cars.

Ford Edge is a nice car and sharp looking. However, the panoramic sunroof gets stuck and won’t close sometimes. Also, Microsoft sync hard to use. Otherwise I love it and gets good gas mileage.

The Ford Flex is a wonderful vehicle. The interior is roomy and very comfortable and the ease of entry and exit is great. Also, the sound system is great and the seating and cargo capacity meets my needs as the father of seven.

I've been driving a Ford Edge and found it to be an excellent SUV. It drives very nice and handles great. It's all-wheel drive, and was surprised how it just pulled out of the snow bank. It a little smaller than my Explorer and was worth the shot I gave it.

My 2010 Ford Edge Limited has to be one of my favorite autos I've had over my 44+ yrs of driving. Since I bought my first SUV back in 1992-93 I have never owned a car again. This vehicle is very dependable, very comfortable, good mileage, and a great ride all in all. If I had to in the future for whatever reason, I would buy the same make & model but I just wish Ford didn't change the newer Edges in size, they're smaller in and out.

I love the Ford Crown Victoria because it is a solid car. I feel I have a car around me and I feel safe. My car has 65,000 in 15 years. It performs well on the highway or local roads and it holds the road well in bad weather also.

Ford C-MAX Energi drives sporty, has as much cargo space as a minivan, qualifies for the carpool sticker, and has more headroom than any other vehicle I have ever been in! Geared perfectly so it can get up and go at any speed.

The Ford Crown Victoria is well built and solid full sized car. Handles 5 adults with plenty of trunk space. Not manufactured anymore (last year produced - 2011) but is well worth buying used as these cars are extremely durable, reliable and hold up well under the harshest conditions. Smooth ride, excellent handling, 4 wheel disc brakes provide superior breaking, whisper quiet smooth V8 with plenty of power. Comfortable and stylish as well. Easy to repair and offers many safety features with excellent crash protection. Downside: can be hard to park due to large size, fair to decent gas consumption averaging 16-17 city / 20-25 hwy.

My Ford E-250 work van is essential for my service work. I do routine maintenance on the van and it has performed reliably for more than fifteen years. Considering the vintage, the van's six cylinder V-6 (original motor) delivers surprisingly good gas mileage.

Ford refused to fully fix a recall that they issued and the damage it caused. It took over 6 weeks to get the parts in to fix the Ford Fiesta door locks. They had the car an excessive amount of time.

Our 2014 Flex has been a great car so far! It gets decent gas mileage and has plenty of room. We have not had any mechanical issues so far and the only complaint I have is that the hoses that go to the front and rear window squirters keeps coming off of a connector, that I had to end up clamping to the connector.

We purchased a low mileage former rental Explorer Limited Edition. The only improvement would have been a turbo engine. I love this vehicle. It is easy to drive, seats 7 when needed, and very comfortable. It has great sounds, lots of extra features and can still haul a few things when our one-ton truck is too big.

2016 Ford Escape 1.6 engine - I bought this Ford Escape because I have always bought Fords, American made. When I bought this Ford I was happy with the deal and the vehicle, shook the salesman hand and was told, "You're getting a really good vehicle here. You keep up the oil changes and get new tires when needed, you probably will have this vehicle for a very long time." I commute 170 miles round trip per day to work from home. Averaging about 35,000-40,000 per year. Current mileage was 85,000 miles when driving down the road and vehicle began to lose power and the engine RPM increased. On the cluster red wrench light came on "transmission fault service now" and I could not accelerate. And the car decelerated rapidly. I managed to get the vehicle back to the house. Started it the next morning and got about 3 miles from the house when it repeated the same issues.
I arranged for a flatbed to transport my vehicle to the local Ford dealership to get the vehicle diagnosed. Was informed from the service rep that the computer was indicating "No Pressure and Improper Gear Ratio". Was told that Ford recommends to replace the entire transmission, which quoted a price of $4,700.00 for the part and an additional $1,500 to $2,000 for labor to remove and install the transmission. Warranty on a replaced transmission would be 100,000 miles and 3 years. What I do not understand is if a replacement transmission has this warranty, why does not a transmission in a vehicle built from the factory have the same warranty? Vehicle was no longer under the Ford standard Powertrain Warranty of 60,000 miles so, cost was all out of pocket.
Service rep made the recommendation of contact Ford Service Customer Care and submit a claim. Made the call that evening and within 2 days received a response, stating: "We have thoroughly reviewed your request and after careful consideration we regret that Ford is not able to provide financial assistance to address your issue. We are sorry that we were not able to meet your expectations at this time and recommend you continue to work with your Ford dealership to provide the best service for your vehicle in the future."
So much for customer care. I understand that the vehicle has 85,000 but still it is only a 2 year old vehicle. Under the Ford Maintenance Schedule for a 2016 Ford Escape, the transmission is not to be serviced till 150,000 miles, which is just an oil change. I have had this vehicle serviced religiously with Ford for all oil changes, tire rotations or any other mechanical issue. Always have had a multi-point inspection done as well on the vehicle. Just had this vehicle serviced the month prior to this event and received a green check across the board on everything.
Would recommend having your transmission looked at more closely in this vehicle, can be a costly overlook to you by your Ford service department. Needless to say, was not happy with Ford handling of this situation and especially the Ford Customer Care Relationship Center. Must be easy for someone to push a button saying No, when they do not need to put their name on a response and account for their actions.

2008 Ford Heavy Duty F350 diesel turbo 6.4 engine - We bought a Ford because we have always bought Fords, American made. When we bought this Ford we were happy, we shook the guy that sold it to us hands as he said, "You're getting a really good truck here. You keep up the oil changes and get new tires when needed, you probably won't have it in the shop only to get new hoses at 300,000 miles." What a nightmare that statement has become. We had trouble way before 28,000 with the way the turbos and engine ran. They said they fixed it. We kept changed oil and got new tires when needed. Continued having problems $6700 worth. We ask for them to look at it and they said nothing was wrong. That that is the way it was suppose to run. At 53000 it totally quit.
We took it in, they suggested clearing the emission records to help it perform better and get new turbos. They did that. We still was not happy with the performance of driving the truck. 8 months & 900 miles later it was back in the shop. The shop said they'd take care of it, stayed in their shop for 1 and half months but made it worse and they towed it to a Ford care 30 miles away. SO they had it 1 and half months, changed turbo, found that the pipe going into turbos was melting on the inside and they said it was good. I was going to take it from there to trade it. They thought that all the problems Ford had on these trucks that now it was taken care of with the Pipe being replaced, $2300 cost. So I took it home. Next day we went 20 miles and the radiator was leaking.
When I called the Ford care place, the man said, "Oh that is another problem Ford is having with the Ford trucks, it cracks on the seam." So another $2200 that should have been a Ford recall. I'm tired of hearing everyone complain about the Ford truck and the US Highway Safety Department not taking care of getting Ford to recall these. IF there are this many complaints about the 2008 to 2010 models then there should be a recall and Ford taking care of the cost! These are not maintenance problems. This is factory problem. Doesn't it seem crazy that Ford dealers do not even want to give you anything for the truck on a trade in? Does it seem crazy that the Ford company care places do not even care to have them come into their shops?

I have been a Ford Customer for over 30 years and I will NEVER buy another Ford. Ford refuses to cover the corrosion that is spreading on the hood of my 2014 Explorer. Now the paint is starting to chip off as well. Ford is well aware of this issue with several Ford models and will NOT do anything about it. (The local Ford Body Shop Manager told me so.) The issue is due to inadequate prep work before painting the vehicle. I have been going back and forth with Ford for over 6 months. I even sent a letter to the Ford Board of Directors. Ford simply does NOT care. FORD DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES!
At first Ford tried to say that the warranty is 3/36000 miles, but later admitted that the warranty is actually 5 years/unlimited miles. Then they stated: "Corrosion Warranty covers body sheet metal panels against corrosion due to a defect in factory supplied materials or workmanship. Corrosion coverage only applies if the corrosion causes perforation (holes) in body sheet metal panels. Corrosion Warranty coverage begins at the warranty start date and lasts for five years, regardless of miles drive." This is a defect in factory workmanship!

Well after months of working with Ford to get something for all the trouble I had with the fiesta. Car shutting off on when I’m driving, shuttering when it did drive, door latches going out in the first 30 days of me owning it. Hours spent at Ford to have them tell me it’s fixed and drive home to find out it’s not. I finally traded it in and Ford said because I don’t own the car anymore they are not going to help me even though they sent me the form saying they could. Thank You Ford for wasting my time and money. Never again will I buy a Ford. Saying we are an American company but making parts in Mexico. At least other companies don’t ** as much as you do.

I bought a 2015 Mustang EcoBoost Premium Convertible from a Ford dealership. I was very happy with my purchase initially. A year later, 1 week before my warranty ended, I got A/C and seat heating/cooling issues. I took my vehicle to a Ford service and they were super helpful in the beginning. They told me all my issues were covered under the certified pre-owned warranty and they even gave me a rental for $2/day because I had premium vehicle benefits. They also said there was a nail in one of my tires and they would patch that up for $35 and the rest would be a $100 deductible. They put me on a Lyft for free and I got my rental from Enterprise. I only paid for insurance. It was too good to be true!
The day my vehicle was supposed to be ready I got a call from the service center. They told me they fixed the A/C but the seat heating/cooling would be $750!!! When I asked why, they told me there was something 'syrupy' in the electrical system under the car and "a soda can probably exploded inside the vehicle"! I swear to God that's what the guy said. Of course, this is completely BS. I mean I would have to clean the entire interior of the vehicle if something like that happened. There were no stains anywhere inside my vehicle and this guy had the audacity to suggest that a soda can EXPLODED in my vehicle and it magically only got in the electrical system under the seat.
Needless to say, I was really pissed at this petty attempt to charge me an extra $750 and I contacted Ford customer service to deliver my complaint. They basically replied me with an automated message saying how they understand my frustration but they fully support the dealership's decision. Long story short, I am not saying never buy from Ford but just be aware that in their core they are a company that puts making money over their customer service and they will milk every penny out of you if they can. There are better car companies out there folks. I know that I will never ever buy a Ford again but if you do choose to risk your money you have been warned and it's on you now.

This was in 2017, my 2016 Ford Transit Connect Sunroof curtain was jammed and will not close when my warranty mileage was still under 30k miles. When I called the Ford dealer in Hagerstown MD to look at it they told me to bring it in on their next available date which was almost 1 wk plus away. I told them that I was traveling out of state; anyway when I finally took the van to them they told me that my warranty was 1k 100 miles off to call Ford motors. When I called them they told me to call my branch dealer which I told that I have already did & they told me that they can't do anything about it. So now I'm stucked with this defective curtain rail that will not close. "Still Love my little Transit connect".

I have a 2017 Edge SEL with several upgrades. This is my 2nd Edge and it was the only model we seriously looked at before buying. 3 weeks after we purchased it we took a 7,000 mile cross country trip. I put over 100,000 miles on my 2011 Edge. I have not had any mechanical problems with either car. I did have a few accessory issues with the 2011, rearview camera, cruise control, and a window. I have had several Ford vehicles in the last 20 years and have been very satisfied with them. I have also owned a Mercedes Benz, Kia, GMC, Nissan and Acura in the same time span.

I bought a 2105 Ford 150 XLT 4WD and on Dec 22nd 2017 it seems fuel pump went out. Had to get truck towed so called roadside. They said it would be 3 hours so I waited. No one showed. Called roadside back come to find out someone cancelled. Did not tow until Dec 23 2017. Since truck has been in shop date changes on parts coming in to fix. First date was Jan 12th 2018. Now Jan 25th 2018. Still no action. Tried calling Ford direct 4 times. Can't get through and dealership keeps making excuses.

We have a 2015 Ford Explorer. The paint on the hood is actually bubbling off. We took it to a Ford dealership and spoke with the service manager and he confirmed that it was a defect and that they had seen the issue before. He suggested we contact Ford for resolution and gave us a number to refer to. We contacted Ford and since the car was over the warranty by miles it was not in years. They denied the claim stating it was out of the warranty period. We took it to an auto body shop and they again stated that it is a common issue with Fords because the hood is aluminum and does not hold the paint.
We initially brought this up while we were within 1000 miles of the warranty as well as 6 months before the 3 year mark. We cannot believe that a $50,000 vehicle has the paint peeling due to a defect and they refuse to stand behind it. We had purchased the extended warranty but apparently it does not cover the paint. Ford should be ashamed of themselves. This is not a quality product. Last Ford we will purchase!

I’m a long time Ford owner. In July, 2017 the electronic power steering on my 2013 Mustang GT which had less than 40K miles, malfunctioned which in turn resulted in the loss of traction control, ABS and other electronic assist functions. After being informed that my warranty was expire, I was quoted over $2.2K. Annoyed that a low mileage car which was less than 4 years old could have an issue like this, I chose to drive it without power steering.
Fast forward to January 2018, I brought the car to the dealership for an oil change which happened to lose all steering function while in their possession. The dealership explained that the car was a ticking time bomb and that I should be grateful that the steering didn’t go out while I was on the road. I was blown away because they never informed me that I would lose all steering in the original diagnosis 6 months earlier. I contacted Ford Consumer Affairs and they just filed it away and don’t want to acknowledge the issue due to the potential liability it can face for selling cars with faulty steering that are likely to fail on the road. Ford’s power steering issues are well-known, but the associated catastrophic steering failure is not. Basically, if you drive a Ford product and the power steering goes out, you are driving a death trap.

I have owned my '17 Explorer (with under 15k miles) less than 6 months. Granted, it's colder than my first girlfriends heart, but my Explorer wouldn't start. My '17 Chevy Impala (and countless other cars I see driving by me) had no problem. So I call Ford Roadside Assistance at 11am. Yes, I'm in the comfort of my home, not stranded on the side of the highway, but... I have ** to do! They said, "No problem, busy day, but we'll have someone there within THREE hours". Ok. I get it. Lots of people in worse shape than me. Three hours comes and goes, no calls, no updates, and most importantly, no Roadside Assistance. I call again. The advisor says "I see you called earlier, what can I help you with". I said, "It's been three hours, no roadside assistance".
He says "we have no record that you called". Say what? You knew I called earlier... It wasn't to see how the weather was in ARIZONA! "We will send someone, they will be there within THREE HOURS (it's now 2pm). Ok. THREE hours later, nada, no calls, no updates, no Roadside Assistance. So I called the local dealership. "Yep, they are really busy. Let me call them to see whats going on." Roger. He calls back "someone cancelled the dispatch at 4:03pm". Say what? So, the first tow company, the one that never showed up, must have "cancelled" so it wouldn't show in the system that they would have been, like, FOUR hours late??? By this time (6pm, 7 hours after the initial call) we decided we needed to concentrate on one of our four activities of daily living, eating.
After sitting in the driveway for 7 hours on a battery charger, the 6 month old baby decided to turn over. I called the towing company that the dealer dispatched and told them we had had enough for the night, and no longer needed a tow. Today, the day after, we received a call from Ford Roadside Assistance saying that a tow truck is on the way. We called back and said the tow is not necessary. They called again. And again, and again. And again. Five calls either telling us a tow truck is en route or asking if we needed a tow. Pretty disorganized that bunch!

Ford makes it virtually impossible to terminate a lease early. My situation changed halfway through my lease. The would rather see you default on the payments than work something out. A bunch of people on autopilot that just repeats the same garbage information over and over. I will never use Ford ever again in my life, and if you are thinking of buying from them...take a minute and read some of the reviews, they are a horrible company and are doing a disservice to their customers.

I am the owner of a 2012 Ford Focus which is known to have a bad clutch and transmission. While I was under warranty, I had two clutches replaced and multiple software flashes to try and fix the issue. I have only had my new clutch for about 19,000 miles but because I am now out of warranty, they are making me pay for a new one. The first service representative at Miller Ford advised that we have the old clutch and right after they put that into my vehicle, they came out with a new clutch that fixed the issues the old one is having. He explained that due to this, the new one should be covered. After they diagnosed my vehicle, they are now stating that since my vehicle has over 100,000 miles, I would have to pay for the new clutch, even though they know they put a clutch in my car with KNOWN ISSUES.
My husband was active duty military and when the military tells you to move, they don't pay to transport your car so we were forced to drive across the country with our vehicle. Military families will ALWAYS have more miles on a vehicle than a family that doesn't have to move all over the country. I find Ford's actions reprehensible since they know the clutch that is in my car is BAD and they JUST REPLACED it. They also advised me that when a clutch is replaced under warranty, the warranty on the part is a lot shorter than if I had paid for it. Ford knows that they came out with a clutch to fix the problems that the one that is in my car is having, but yet they are STILL MAKING ME PAY FOR IT. DO NOT BUY A FORD, THEY ARE THIEVES AND AN UNETHICAL COMPANY.

I bought a Ford Fusion. Shortly after buying it and the extended warranty the heat on the driver's seat would not shut off and kept getting hotter and hotter to the point it burnt my leg! I still have a mark! I called the place I bought it from they told me to call Ford. I called Ford and they pretty much told me, "Oh well." They wouldn't help me with anything! Never again will I buy a Ford!!! So much for the extended warranty! Rip off! They're lucky I don't sue them!

On Saturday, November 14th, I came outside to start my car, the car would not turn and I had a notice to "Service Power Steering Now". Just the day before the car drove fine no issues. I researched the issue and it is well known and also had a class action lawsuit against it. When speaking to Ford Motor Company, they had no desire to fix the issue because it was not recalled, although thousands of 2010 Ford Fusions have this issue. I spoke to the local Ford Dealership who has my car and the service tech said this is 99.9% not my fault and there is nothing I could have done to prevent this from happening because it is an Electrical System Failure. In trying to get the issue resolved for my American car, I spoke to several unpleasant representatives in the Philippines and they said there is nothing they can do and they can’t escalate my case.
Ford stated that because my car is over $60k, it is not covered under warranty but this again is a well known issue. I would like for Ford to own up to their mistake while creating this vehicle and cover the expense. If you really think about it, I've seen over 4k complaints in regards to this same issue, each one of us had to $1,800 to repair a part that was 99.9% not our fault. I need for James Hackett to consider recalling the 2010 Ford Fusion Power Steering for the safety of our children and families. What if my 9 year old daughter was in the car and it happened while I was driving. Ford is putting many lives at risk. And it is not fair that I have an American car and have to speak to someone in the Philippines regarding my vehicle. They don't care, they want a paycheck. Ford Motor Company don't want business from US citizens of Puerto Rico... On November 24, 2017 at the Central Florida International Auto Show I was enjoying a great Auto Show especially looking at the Pickup trucks inside the Orlando Convention Center. Ford, Nissan and Chevy pickups were my top pick for my next purchase, the only other thing that I needed to was to test drive them. So after spending all day at the show I went outside and test drove with Nissan, Dodge and others with my Puerto Rico driver's license with no issues.
But when I stop at the Ford Test drive tent I show my Puerto Rico driver's license like I did with the other 3 locations and was notify that it was no good, only US driver license. I told the lady that Puerto Rico is part of the United States but she didn't care. Last time I check Ford has dealerships in the island of Puerto Rico. As a US citizen and a US service member, I felt disappointed, disrespect... Ford Motor Company lost a customer... and hopefully many more.

I bought a 2017 Mustang. I've had it four months and in that time it's been in the garage once a month for the same problem. My car is now in the garage again. The clutch has come out of it. The service manager said the car had been treated rough. I called the main company about this. Guess what? It's my problem. If, I have them fix it it will cost me 2000.00. If, I fix it it'll cost me 800.00 and voids all warranties. I tried talking to the service manager. He told me to go away. I was wasting his time. I've always been a fan of Ford. Not anymore. My family won’t buy them anymore. I tell people how they treated me. Now I have to pay this garage 90.00 to get my car back. This is a bunch of **. People don't buy a Ford.

I bought a preferred vehicle, a 2013 Ford Fusion from Wolfchase Ford. I am currently waiting on the 2nd head to be installed. It cost me $3700 for the first one. Ford has shown no interest in the issue. I would recommend not to buy an EcoBoost Ford.

I bought a 2016 F-150 and absolutely loved it! My issue is not with the truck itself, but with the lack of customer service from the dealer all the way to Ford Credit. I would have Ford do the regular maintenance on the truck and with that regular maintenance came regular frustration. When told that it would be ready at a certain time they never delivered. When you call to ask when it would be ready, no one had an answer.
Due to financial situation and wanting to help my parents out, I sold my truck. Not because I wanted to, but because it had to be done. When trying to process the paper work at local Ford deal, they were more worried about eating chips and salsa in the manager’s office instead of getting things finalized and me out the door. After 2 hours they finally had me sign the little amount of paperwork I needed and I was out the door. I was told that the reimbursement check for the over pay would be in my mail in 3-4 weeks. After numerous conversations with Ford Credit CS, and 7 week of waiting, they've decided to stop payment and reissue the check. Did they offer to expedite it, or send it with a tracking number? No...
I loved my truck… It reminded me of the summers I got to spend with my grandfather riding around in his. However, I believe the price you pay for a product should represent the quality of their customer service as well. Ford, your customer service in all departments needs to be improved. You put a high price on your vehicles, your customer service should be better equipped, better trained, and better ready to serve the people that buy your vehicles. Based on my CS experience with Ford, I doubt I will be back to get another one in my future, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

We purchased a 2016 Fusion from Auto Nation in Union City GA. The auto shift clutch immediately started vibrating, lunging and rolls backwards, I assumed it would be a warranty fix easily but the dealership and Ford refused saying it was “normal”. Now there is a class action lawsuit. After 50 years with Ford never again. Don’t buy.

I'd give zero stars if that was possible. Back story: never owned US made car. Drove just about every brand of Japanese car out there since '83, with no major complaints. I decided perhaps it was time to give a US company a try and my research suggested Ford the best of them. I got a new Explorer. Explorer seemed like a solid vehicle until at 20k miles it started to suffer some mysterious electrical problem, the worst of which manifests itself by hitting the gas pedal and nothing happens. The revs are there, it's just nada between transmission and the engine. It can last a few seconds to a few minutes and when it does finally engage, the car leaps forward similar to what happens when you drop the clutch hard on a manual car.
Other things are rear view cam coming on when going forward, cruise control shutting off for no reason etc. Worst, and potentially dangerous is the dead motor thing. Left me dead in the water in an intersection the other day. Brought it to Ford service three times now. First two times, being (apparently) an electrical issue, and an intermittent one at that, of course they couldn't reproduce the problem or fix it. Third time was the charm as I walked the tech out and it did it for him in person, so he confirmed it and said he thought it was electrical vs. a transmission issue. Once they got it in the shop, you guessed it, they could not reproduce it, and no fix.
Now I'm getting pissed. Many phone calls, etc. later to Ford corporate, them generally doing jack** to help me, etc., they then ask me to bring it in for a 4th time! I said I would, if they would at least tell me what they would happen after #4 visit and no fix: replace the car, let me out of the lease, etc. if after #4 if was not fixed. Their response was "we will evaluate that afterward in a 'good faith review'" I responded, "So if after #4 and nothing is fixed, we go onto #5?" They ignored the Q. Seemed pretty reasonable request to me...
Hence a total non answer and yet, I should bring it in for #4 with zero commitment from them, so at that point I declined knowing it was a waste of time and all they are doing is trying to wear me down and give up. I have 7 months left on the lease. So, it appears I'm stuck with Ford until the lease run out (which is me paying for a defective car), pay the lease off and walk, which is me throwing $ in the toilet on a defective car. And Ford was supposed to be the most reliable of US brands. No wonder we continue to lose market share to the Japanese, etc.

In July 2017 our 2013 Ford F-150 lost all braking power. Had truck towed and they replaced Master Cylinder and brake booster. I researched and found our truck was manufactured 4 months too early to be included in a recall for this very issue. Ford headquarters finally agreed to pay us $350 of our $574 bill. We have a complaint number and approval code. HOWEVER it is October and the local dealership Sam Pack's Ford Country of Lewisville TX refuses to cut our partial hush payment! I've emailed and called too many times to both headquarters and local shop!!! I'm done with Ford and ready to spread the word of their refusal to admit to faulty parts and refusal to honor partial payment! They are liable and are trying to avoid all accountability. Shame on Ford as we all know BRAKES ARE OPTIONAL on Ford vehicles!!!

We have a chronic problem with a function on our vehicle. We have had to call roadside assistance every other month for the past while. Almost every time they send a towing company that doesn't service this area. I tell them when I call that this is a problem and to please send someone who services this area. They don't. So, after waiting for the tow truck company that does not service the area we have to wait for a tow truck company that does service the area!

I called customer service on Oct. 3, 2017 and spoke to Ashley. (800) 392-3673. I was trying to find out some information about a transmission hose part # and asked who to speak to about this matter. She told me to pay for a subscription to Motor craft or go to the dealer. The dealer wants $100.00 to tell me about the hose. This is ridiculous as I just need to find out how many transmission hoses my expedition has. I am not a mechanic to even know what to look for under the hood. A bunch of morons and I bought Fords all my life as I am now 52 years old... Somehow I am realizing why my friends buy Hyundai and other foreign cars. Customer service is worth nothing as they are as ignorant and nonhelpful as the Ford Motor company.

I love Ford vehicles. My first was an Explorer which I had for about 4-5 years but when both my dogs passed away, I needed to move on to help me forget but I sold it on my own and got a pretty penny for it. This was a rare occasion because I like to hold on to my vehicles. So I took the check I received for it and started my search for my next Ford. And of course there are the naysayers who will tell you that Ford stands for "found on road dead" But not in my case.
My next Ford was in 1996, the last year they made the Bronco. I bought it in Nov of 1995 and I drove it for 20 years with regular upkeep but not one problem along the way. One month short of 20 years it got tired and had to go to Bronco heaven. I had more people asking me if I would consider selling it because I take care of my cars and even after 20 years, there was not a speck of rust on it. I was stopped at a light one day and the guy behind me got out of his car and came to my window just to tell me what a nice truck it was.
Since then, I have been driving a non Ford car that I had in storage and I hate it. You can't see over other cars and trucks when you are stuck in traffic. But, never fear, the word is out that Ford will be bringing the Bronco back in 2018 and I will be the first in line. I just wish they would bring the little side windows back. They were awesome too.

After owning my 2015 Ford Fiesta for two years I got in my car and when I went to shut the door the entire plastic handle broke right off. They would have to replace the whole door for $498 without any labor. No kids, well kept etc. This piece is such junk, will never buy another Ford if this is how they design them.

The Ford Edge Limited was well made and the fit & finish is very good. The vehicle has over 20K miles and no problems. The ride is comfortable and road noise is very low. The cargo area is a good size and can be doubled by lowering the rear seats. I recommend getting the V6 engine.

I am extremely disappointed in (2016) Ford Explorer which has failed transmission at 40,000 miles only. Worst part is, Ford's so called power terrain warranty does not cover the repair and I was billed 6,000$ to repair the transmission. I purchased a new 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid through my shared employee plan through Harley Davidson and Ford Motor Company. The car currently has 25K miles on it and I have had nothing but issues with it. The transmission went out at 20K miles. The radiator cracked at 25K. There has been faulty wiring in the seats and door panels to name a few. I wrote a letter to Ford Motor Company and they called me back with a case number and opened an investigation on their end. They never called me back when I left messages and provided no information to me on the buyback program. I was just informed today (as my car is on day 26 of being in service at the dealership) that my car does not qualify for a buyback. When I questioned as to why, she said, "I don't know. I'm not an attorney. You'd have to hire one.” I am so disappointed in Ford's product, and horrible customer service.

My mom bought a 2016 Explorer and the car was sold as new and no accidents. Well she washed the car last month and paint chipped off the front fender a big chunk of paint. My mom has had no accidents and keeps the car in the carport. She calls Ford and tries to use the warranty but Ford doesn't call her back for 3 days. She had to call them for them to tell her the car had been in a wreck previous. So she calls another number for corporate and the woman starts out with an attitude and implies she wrecked the car and is trying to get over on FORD. My mom don't have to get over on Ford. She just wants what she paid for when buying a new car. She bought the car in Florida where I was living at the time at BARTOW FORD.
The car was damaged during shipping and then was treated like she has to scam Ford to get her car fixed. My mom had the lady of the corporate office on speaker phone and the lady flat out told her it is her job to turn people down and not approve claims 'cause that cost Ford. Well I am the one that got my mom interested in Ford by me buying an Explorer and then I bought myself a 2015 Lariat and then my mom bought hers and was ripped off. Well my family has spent over a 100 thousand dollars and for the ignorance of that lady to tell us her job is to turn people down from their warranty. Well I'm here to tell people not to buy a Ford so people like her can't have a job. If enough people quit buying their product then they have to thin the ignorant people of Ford.
Needless to say my mom had to pay out of pocket to get her car fixed and they discovered that there was more damage done than what we was seeing and thanks to whoever covered this up it cost my family money and to be disrespected by a lady behind a desk that don't know ** about my mom and accuse her of trying to scam Ford. I am embarrassed to say that I have continued to purchase Ford products through the years even though they have proven to be poorly manufactured. Well I have finally learned my lesson. Never again will I purchase a Ford vehicle. Some examples, Explorer 30,000 miles cracked engine block, Excursion 52,000 miles transmission failure, Expedition tailgate paint bubbling off (they all do), Raptor 50,000 miles garage kept. A hole rusted through the bed (common).
Fords response to all of these defects "Drop Dead." If you wish to experience the absolute worst imaginable customer service call (800) 392-3673. I honestly felt as though they were mentally challenged so I escalated the case first to Matt ** never replied then Phill badge # ** big zero then Brian badge # ** bigger zero and finally the head supervisor Rose ** whom I would best describe her as robotic nit wit unable to respond beyond cookie cutter prepared answers.
As a small business owner I purchase multiple vehicles annually as well as personal vehicles so over the course of the last 35 years I have purchased more than 100 new vehicles. The majority of which were Fords. In 2017 alone F350 $50,000.00, A Expedition EL $70,000 and most recently a Raptor $70,000.00. So I hope Mr. Ford reads this and terminates each and every one of the inept, indifferent individuals at Ford who misrepresent themselves as a customer service department.

I was initially very excited about what appeared to be very positive changes at Ford, and purchased both an F150 FX4 pickup, and a Lincoln MKC SUV. Nice to feel good again about buying American vehicles. But I learned the hard way that Ford does a terrible job of standing behind their products. With the F150 truck, there was a brake booster recall that took months to resolve. And they will use any excuse to not honor warranties.
On the truck, bubbling rust started to appear on one of the running boards with less than 30,000 miles on the vehicle. When I initially went to the local dealer to have the truck washed and have this looked at, they told me to come back because the car wash wasn't working. I came back 2 weeks later (the dealer is not convenient to get to) and was told that even though the truck had less than 30,000 miles, it was now 11 days out of warranty and Ford might not cover the repair. The claim was submitted and Ford denied it. Yet clearly this rust problem did not just magically appear just after the warranty expired. Fords decision to not honor this minor claim shows how little they value their customers. And that they don't stand behind their products. As the saying goes - people vote with their feet. Thankfully there are many worthy competitors that prioritize customer service. I have learned a lesson and will never buy another Ford product.

The automobile is a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria Police Intercepter with a 4.6 liter engine with aluminum heads. While traveling down a very long hill at 60 mph, I heard an explosion and then a much louder engine noise. Upon investigation, found a spark plug sitting on top the engine and coil broken completely from the mounting screw. I began a massive rabbit trail into the cause of the failure and the various repair methods. It appears this is a universal failure due to a faulty engineering design that resulted in only a few aluminum threads holding in a steel spark plug. The aluminum is over stressed and fractures from the enormous repetitive shock on the scant threads that hold back all the pressure cycles. I believe that the cover up goes all the way back to the first year or two.
The dealership mechanics must be ordered to claim they have never heard of this problem, because all the non-dealer mechanics all know about it. Hundreds, if not thousands of victims to this dangerous design flaw are suddenly stranded or left in life threatening situations such as an engine on fire, stuck in the winter or desert heat. The factory requires a head replacement. There are cheap tap and "helo" type springs to make a temporary repair, but a kit such as Calvan 38900 or an ATD 5400 Triton kit for $250 can possibly make a semi permanent repair, if you have air tools, cylinder blow out and inspection tools, and know how to lower the cylinder and close the valves before the procedure.
So I got a chase tap, it cleaned the threads but the spark plugs still will not go into the engine head. Since this is an enormous problem for consumer and for Ford, a compromise should be for the Ford Manufacturing Company to at least pay for the job to remove all the plugs, install the ATD 5401's in each cylinder professionally, after first blowing all the shavings out of the cylinder after the drilling and tapping the new oversize threads.
I personally am older and in disability and am in a bad situation. Do I invest in the tools and kit ($800 or so) or do I just look for a Toyota or other quality car to replace the Ford junk? In any case, Ford Motor Company should recall all the aluminum blocks with this serious defect. They had full knowledge and could have recalled within a couple of years, but instead chose to cover it up. Now we the people are supposed to foot the bill? Replace my heads with ones that can't blow out spark plugs or replace the engine with steel heads.

The Power Transfer Unit (PTU) on my 2010 Ford Edge with only 36876 miles went out and the repair cost me $1900. Ford is aware of this issue but it has not escalated to being recalled. There is no preventative maintenance that can be performed on this part. It supposedly has lifetime oil. However, they do leak and there is no way of adding oil to prevent the part from complete failure. Ford is not addressing the problem and is not concerned with customer satisfaction.

I own a 2010 Ford Flex Limited. It has the EPAS steering system that has failed just like the 2011's that has the same part and has an active recall campaign to replace it. When I contacted the dealership, they pulled the part number up and confirmed the recall but, not on the 2010. The dealership then contacted Ford Corporate for financial assistance. Corporate asked the dealer for the parts and labor replacement estimate just to deny fixing my car. I have just spent over $3,500 replacing both turbos and now, Ford expects for me to pay another $2,000 to fix my car again! You would think that Ford would acknowledge a major safety issue like a steering failure!

I leased a 2015 Ford Fusion in the fall/winter of 2014 and have had it for 3 years and it gave me no problems the entire time. I took it on a few trips and it was great! I just traded it in thinking I would try a foreign car to take advantage of the mileage that they advertise so I traded it in for a 2017 Kia Optima. I've had this car for less than 2 months and it has given me nothing but trouble (electrical/engine related). It's been in the shop for 2 weeks now and I haven't heard any updates from the service manager as to when it'll be fixed, or what the problems are with it.
I've dealt with the roadside assistance, the service center, the corporate office and of course the dealership and I've been sorely disappointed with every aspect of Kia's customer service. I've been treated like a number and told that if I'm unsatisfied with the vehicle that I should "wrap it around a tree" and get something else. I'm never purchasing from Kia again... I miss my Ford sooo much!!!

I paid $3600 for the Premium Service package that is contracted in my payments each month. I can't get that money back. Fletcher Ford in MO said that my Ford has never had my Premium service done. Ford complaint center said it has. Fletcher Ford service center said that my rotors were ground down so bad that I need new rotors. Ford Complaint center claims that they were never touched by any service according to my service records. Ford tried to say that I ride the brakes too hard and that is why they are ground down so much. I had another Ford truck that I put over 400,000 miles on and never had to change the rotors. I don't ride on my brakes. I believe that there was some dishonesty along the way.
Ford has always serviced my Ford truck and they kept up the brakes. My brakes are right now 70% to the good so why would anyone grind down my rotors? The only thing I can think of, is so that I would get Ford service to replace them and that's how they make more money on your vehicle along the way. That's what the Premium service is all about to me, is to get more money out of you along the way by doing dishonest service to your vehicle, so it seems!

6.7 Powerstroke Diesel - I bought my truck brand new off the lot in 2012. The dealer told me I should have no problem getting 21 MPG. Figured I would get at least 17 with the way I drive. Started out doing good at 17.5. Then as the motor got broke in I watched it drop to 14.5 and that's where it stayed. Around 100,000 miles I had to have the alternator replaced. Around 105,000 miles I had to replace my def heater. Other than that there were no real issues.
I did all the maintenance as needed and recommended. Then towing a trailer at highway speeds with just under 130,000 miles my motor locks up. No warning lights or anything. Have it towed. Wait a week for the dealership to look at it and all they can say is I need a new motor. Ask how that can be. The truck has been babied compared to my old 6.0 that I had. They tell me to know for sure they would have to get into it and that would cost me who knows what in labor to see what exactly went wrong. All they could tell me for sure is the price to replace the motor... at $16,000. Last time I buy a Ford.

I own a Transit full-size van T350 built 5/2015 used for business. After 38000 miles the left rear axle seal failed and was replaced 11/30/16. One day later the hole axle seized after just 50 miles. After the warranty repair. It took to January 10/2017 to rebuild the rear axle (no parts available!!!) and to get the van back from the Dealer (Ford of Clermont, FL). Since then the van is creating a loud howling noise between 50 and 60 mph and a loud deep vibration noise over 70 mph. Four more attempts to repair/adjust. Did not fix the issue.
Since 12/1/2016 the van spent over 100 days in the workshop trying to fix the rear axle under warranty without success. Since 4 weeks my dealer tries to get in touch with a Ford engineer to assess the issue. Without success. In the meantime the right axle seal failed and spilled all the oil on the road. In addition to the incompetence of the dealership Ford Customer Service is at no service for a customer who has a more complex issue than an oil change. I called Ford customer service several times but all they do is to get you in touch with the dealer's management. Ford Customer Service is only set up to make you feel good and to mediate between dealer and customer. I feel that my only option now is to sue the dealer and Ford to get this faulty rear axle replaced.

After going to 6 dealerships must people with Ford transmission they offer us the X plan 400 off a new car. What a joke. I gave Ford 2 weeks to make it right. We out 2800 dollars and our balance of 8500 dollars what we owe on their junk. We have only one option now is to file bankruptcy due to Ford Motor Company. Thanks Ford for screwing up our credit. Ford don't care about their customers or the ones that drive their junk. We will have a long wait till we'll be able to buy another car. Thanks to Ford Motor Company. But in a few years there won't be a Ford in my yard and I'm going to get this in the news and buy a billboard and will leave bad marks on every Ford site I can.

I am in South Africa and bought 2016/2017 Ford Everest Limited and have had endless issues with it. The latest is the sensor on the steering rack failure which Ford now has to replace the whole steering rack for the second time. Once the sensor fails it disables all the driver assist features. I am concerned for my safety and do not know what the future will be with this car. I have done some research and have seen that Ford in the past had similar problems with steering rack failures. Can you help in any way please?

I bought my Ford F150 XLT brand new in 2010 and I have completely loved my truck! It has been great with no problems. So you can imagine how upset I am after only 93,000 miles my motor needs replaced because of how poorly the 4.6 engine was built. I would think the engine would last longer than that but I was wrong. My mechanic said that this has been the major problem with the 4.6 engine in these trucks so I am not sure why it never got recalled. Now I am out a pretty penny to get it fixed since it is my sole vehicle to get my family around in. I am not usually one to complain but this was defiantly an upset after spending $37,000 on the truck to begin with just to replace the engine 7 years later. Now that I will have a motor in it that was built right I should get a longer lifespan out of this truck!

I bought the car with 2,000 miles and they said is considered as new. I had the same problem as everyone here. During the past four years, I have taken it to the dealer 4 times for the transmission clutch. The last time they said there was another piece that needed to be replaced, so the transmission does not fail anymore but that piece was not cover by the warranty. I paid about $300. Looks like the warranty will be covered by piece. I don't understand. Right now is the fifth time my car is at the dealer and I hope they don't come with the same story. I hope our President Trump makes Ford Cars Great Again.

I purchased an F150 in Aug 2016, and my bank account was scammed in Feb 2017. In April 2017 Ford sent me a notice of default and right to cure. I discovered that Ford credit had not updated my personal information even though I had the car in service at the Ford dealer and gave my personal information on two separate occasions when I went to get the truck serviced. Ford credit stated they did not have my phone number so just put me on the bad credit list and threatened to repossess the truck even after I had placed $10,675 down to purchase the vehicle.
The dealership was given my new information in February when I needed an oil change, but they did not enter it into their system. This is a reflection of the shoddy, greedy and poor customer service of the Ford Dealer. I will never purchase another shoddy vehicle from Ford again. I have been a loyal customer for over 20+ years and realized that Ford could care less. I will NEVER again purchase a Ford and will discourage anyone else from considering a Ford EVER.

I have a 2011 Mercury Milan that has a power steering assist fault and has stopped working. It starting happening in the summer of 2016 and would reset after turning the car off and then back on. It now has a message on the dashboard and says "Power Steering Assist Fault" and "Advance Service Track." I researched and Ford has a recall on the same make, model and year but Ford says that my VIN number is not on the recall even my car is doing the same, exact thing and the power steering has failed. They are trying to charge me the diagnostic fee and refuse to fix my car even though there is a recall on this make, model and year. I need someone's assistance! This is a danger to me and my family while driving. I do not have the funds to fix the vehicle. The part alone is $1,200 plus the labor.
Ford Motor Company should be ashamed of themselves. Many other individuals have gotten in accidents because of this problem. They have totaled their vehicles and gotten hurt. Why can't Ford do the right thing and fix my vehicle? I am using all resources to announce this problem. I am so outraged and disappointed in Ford Motor Company. I am putting it out there to everyone not to ever buy a Ford and how they do not care about the lives and families who own their vehicle, and all of the recalls that they have on many different Ford vehicles. How can you have a recall on a vehicle and say that my VIN is not under the recall when it has the same, exact problem?? It is disgusting that this company can get away with this!!

Bought a brand new 2016 250 Ford Transit 250 van at 12000 miles. Had a howling noise when backing up. Told me my bearings in the rear end were shot. Rebuilt the rear end to no avail. Now at 35000 miles my back brakes are completely wore out. Had big old tires. Tell me it's as if I've been driving with my e brake on. Took it to ford. They cover their ass and tell me its wear and tear and that they're finding out with these vehicles the back brakes are wearing out quick. Oh did I mention my front brakes are like brand new. Bottom line this vehicle is a PIECE OF **.

I bought 2013 Vista car in Oct. 2015. 25,000 miles, it lasted 1 yr. One yr. later 10-20-2016 took Manteca Ford service, told me it needs a clutch. No car 6 days. Oct. 20 back in shop, Dec. 20, back in shop. March 16, back in shop. March 20 back in shop, they said throttle $100.00. March 22 back in the shop. March 28 back in the shop. Picked car up March 31 2017, told me needed a new battery. Didn't want them to put battery. This is the same problem, I had in Oct., Dec., March. Engine light came on while driving. Vehicle began making a thrashing type noise and losing speed. I had to drive home with my emergency lights on. Real slow. I will never buy a Ford car again. Service dept. don't know what they're doing. Car was towed 2 times.

Bought a new 2014 Ford Focus Titanium off the lot and within about 4 or 5 days my engine was already starting to shutter. I brought it back and they said that's just the way it is. I believed them sadly. Overtime it got a lot more aggressive, and finally they decided to look at my engine with only 20,000 miles. I had a recall and a few other things plus them looking at my transmission so they said they need to keep it a few days, and refused to give me a loaner car, or a rental.
They did not call me, so I decided to call and I could not get a hold of the service adviser for the life of me. I even asked for the service manager and left several voicemails and he hasn't called me back to this day. Finally called corporate and they got a hold of the service adviser the next day. I had multiple things wrong, included a new clutch, bearings, transmission fluid, a part for my transmission (they weren't very specific). Worst part is a check engine light never went on. He then said the parts will come in on Friday, so my car won't be ready until the following Tuesday, and yes... they still didn't want to give me a rental or a loaner. Well here comes Tuesday, and my car still isn't ready. This is about 13 days they have had my car. It is ridiculous, Ford will never own up to the problems people are having with their cars.

For the past few months I have had my 2006 Ford F-150 with the 5.4 Triton V8 3 valve in and out of the shop trying to rectify a rough engine idle when stopping. First I was told that it had to do with a clogged fuel filter which was changed at a charge of $214.00 but I still had the same problem. Next, I was told that the air filter intake hose was clogged with leaves which was another charge of $180.00. Well, the rough idle persisted. So, at 88,000 miles I decided to let my mechanic do a tuneup which I was told would be around $450 that's if he didn't break any spark plugs.
Well, day one I get a call and 3 spark plugs had broken off in the head. The next day I get a call and my mechanic was able to remove 2 of the broken off pieces but he couldn't get the third out. Day three I get a call and my mechanic explains to me that he tried to drill out the center of the stem and thread it so he could try and back it out. He got it to turn 4 times before it completely shredded and the piece fell into the #8 cylinder. So, he had to take off the head to get into the #8 cylinder to clean and remove all debris which he told me usually takes 21 hours.
So, a week later I get a call from my mechanic to tell me that my truck is finally ready. Yep, it was ready all right at a cost of $3900... quite a shock considering this all started out at around $450. Of course, I was pretty mad and my mechanic did take $600 off of the bill. But, he has lost my business and the Better Business Bureau will get a complaint on behalf of this fiasco. Ford has known about this problem for quite awhile now and from what I have learned may have rectified the problem by replacing the spark plugs of later models with a one piece plug instead of a 2 piece plug that when affected by carbon build up seizes in the cylinder.
Now, Ford states that the 5.4 Triton shouldn't have to have a tuneup until 100G miles. Yah, right!!! This is the second Ford product I have owned that has taken a good bit of my hard earned money. First was a failed transmission on a Mercury Villager that had only 62G on it. That fiasco cost me $2800. Now this total Charley Fox!!! Ford you have lost my business and will never get another dime out of me and yes I will be telling all of my friends to stay clear of Ford products.
I currently own 2 Toyota vehicles. One a 2006 Toyota Camry that has 120G miles on it and the only thing I have done to that car in 5 years is replace tires and regular oil changes. The second is a 1989 Toyota extended cab 4x4 pickup truck that has 178G on it and I have had to replace the starter, the radiator, the power steering pump and the alternator, which I repaired all on my own at a minimal cost. The engine is still as strong as it was when I bought the truck in 1990. Now, if that doesn't speak quality and reliability then I'm speechless. Guess who will be selling their F-150 and buying a Toyota Tundra. Ford get your act together!!! We are done!!

Despite everybody telling me not to buy a Ford, the 2016 Ford Explorer Sport fit my family's needs and we like the looks and performance of the vehicle so I bought one for my wife. On the way home from a day out celebrating Mother's Day with my family, the transmission went out on the freeway and we barely made it home. With only 4,000 miles on the vehicle, the transmission had to be replaced. In addition, the vehicle made a loud squeaking noise from the fans when you turn the car off, and the leather on the drivers seat is already starting to deform. The dealer fixed the transmission, but said there was nothing they could do about the seats or the fan squeak. They stated this was "normal." I have owned a lot of cars in my life, and in no way is this normal.
I then took the Explorer in for a routine oil change service, and the vehicle only had 5/32 left of tread on the tires. This seemed like very excessive wear for a brand new vehicle. A month or so later I took the vehicle back in to the dealer to have the tires looked at and they were down to 4/32. The dealer said that it was up to the tire manufacturer, and Hankook was only willing to prorate 25%. There is no way I should have to replace tires on a vehicle that is 1 year old with only 12K miles on it. Come to find out, Ford's New Vehicle Warranty is also supposed to warranty the tires and should cover 60% of the cost. I called Ford Customer Relations and what a disaster they are. I went back and forth for with them for a month. They never called me back as they promised, and some of the reps were extremely rude.
I finally get a supervisor who says that he worked it out with the dealership and that I will only need to pay $407.57 for new tires, and that Ford will take care of the rest. Not quite 60% but at this point, I just want to be done with this. I call the dealer and talk to the person I was told to ask for, and they know nothing about this. I have always tried to stay loyal to the domestic automakers, but I can see why people don't buy American cars. I understand stuff can happen to anything vehicle, but the service Ford has provided has been terrible. If they were great in handling these issues, I would be happy that at least the service was good and that they were taking care of their customer and standing behind their product. Clearly that is not the case and the stereotype about Ford poor quality and service is unfortunately true.

They added over 5,000 of optional fees onto my contract, changed the term on me, and lied about my apr saying it was 8 percent higher then it actually was to hide all these fees. The car rolls backwards, shakes, doesn't want to accelerate and more. Ford won't stand behind the customers because all they are focused on is capital. Eventually ford will end themselves with poor quality vehicles and exceptionally terrible service. Never in my life would I have thought a company would be capable of both. Get it together please. They will only let me get half my money back for a warranty I didn't ask for... This is a common thing for ford... I have over 15 people who I contacted that have had this exact incident happen to them.

I bought a new 2016 Ford Edge in April 2016. Something that should have been an exciting and happy experience has turned into nothing more than a nightmare. The very first day I got the car home, I was moving my stuff into the back and heard a popping noise. Upon further inspection I noticed that the back hatch wasn't properly aligned. I took the car back to AutoNation Ford (Mileage <100) the very next day only to be told that they could not provide me with a vehicle while they worked on this issue. I should have cancelled my contract with them that day! Instead, I have someone pick me up and leave my car with them for the day. When I went to pick up the vehicle they told me that they adjusted it and the popping stopped but it would NEVER be perfect. I was told that they would email me my paperwork, with this being the first occurrence I didn't think much of it.
In June, I emailed Ford Corporate office and begun dealing with them. They were able to get me a car and this time I took it to Hardy Family Ford (Mileage 5416). They attempted to adjust the gate again. Still not fixed. This time I noticed that the washer fluid isn't working. They talked about taking the hatch off and forcing it to line up properly but I felt uncomfortable with that as I didn't want the back to leak after being told it would NEVER be perfect. So I let that, gave up on the idea of having it fixed. FF one month to July and my check engine light comes on. Concerned I pull into an AutoZone and have them read the code. It comes back bad O2 Sensor. I take it back to Hardy Family Ford (Mileage 6450) and they replace the O2 sensor. When I picked the car up, I explained to the service advisor that I was very disappointed in the vehicle and how many little things were wrong with the car I have noticed in the little time of owning it.
His response to me was that it wasn't a Mercedes Benz. I was just shocked that he would make a comment like that considering it cost as much as some Mercedes Benz. In August I'm driving down the road and my car just shuts down on me. Luckily I was able to coast into a turn lane and get someone to meet me. After waiting on my ride I tried the car again, it started up and they followed me home. I took it back to Hardy Family Ford (Mileage 8495) and they had to replace the electronic throttle body. FF to December and I notice it was leaking some fluid in my garage. Back to Hardy Family Ford (Mileage 17755) they had to replace a line that had a pinpoint leak. FF to February and the check engine light comes back on. I take it to AutoZone and run the codes. O2 Sensor again, I take it to AutoNation Ford (Mileage 20451) this time as Hardy isn't open on Saturdays.
They keep my car for a week, and then call to tell me that the service adviser I was dealing with is no longer with them and they were trying to close up his service calls. (So I was forgotten.) They ordered the part and called me two days later. I go to pick up the car and I'm told that the person who inputs the invoices has been out, they will email me the invoice. I insisted on having my paperwork that day only to get an attitude and a comment that the diagnostic codes will be wrong. I get into my car and notice that they have put over 100 miles on my car test driving it.
They replaced the whole catalytic converter system. At this point, I'm very concerned with the reliability of this vehicle. I'm not sure if it qualifies for a lemon but I know I'm getting to the end of my grace period if it does. I do like my vehicle or I wouldn't have bought it. I unfortunately do not trust any of the Ford advisers. They are always being very shady when it comes to service and paperwork, and I fear that once my warranty is up this will be costly. I have all the service records described except the very first one where I learned to get my paperwork before I leave.

I purchased a 2011 Ford Edge Certified pre-owned with 26000 miles. This vehicle has been in for major repairs within the last two years. Vehicle has AWD. The power transfer unit failed at approximately 60000 miles. The backup camera does not work at all. Just a blank black screen. Several valves went bad. The car was at a Ford dealer for 12 days. The backup camera no longer works. It's just a black screen. The only thing to be done with is replace it at the tune of $866.00. I did not have the camera replaced due to the substantial cost. The latest problem is the catalytic converters. They went bad at 75000 miles. The service engine soon comes on and flashes and then goes off. Called dealer and took it in. This was in January 2017.
I was told both catalytic converters have to be replaced. The dealership told me they would have both converters by mid-February 2017. I called them at the end of the February and now they do not know when they will be getting the catalytic converters in. Really??? Note that I am still driving the vehicle and have not been offered a rental car as of yet. I was told not to take the vehicle on long trips because of the converters being bad. How long am I going to have to wait to have this fixed??? This will be the last thing that gets fixed on this car because if one more thing happens to it I will be getting rid of it. I am very disappointed in Ford and I have had several. Time to look at the foreign SUVs.

This is just a forewarning. Do not buy from Ford. They will sell you a bad car with a bad transmission. They will refuse the right to use your warranty that you paid for to fix it and then it will take you a week to get a hold of the customer service regional manager whom will respond back by email. Not even call you to tell you that they will not do anything to help resolve your issue! They don't care!!! They already got your money!!!

I own a 2011 Ford Edge with 60K miles. The entire SYNC system crashed, which has been an issue for FORD and this feature since they issued an extended warranty but not a recall. So therefore, since my warranty is outside about 2 months, I'm stuck with a repair bill of over $1000 to which FORD will not even try to offset AT ALL. Totally unacceptable on a vehicle with such low mileage! Never had such an issue with TOYOTA. Should've stuck with them! FORD wants consumers to purchase their products yet they won't even back them! It's a shame. They've lost this customer for life. NEVER AGAIN.

Bought a brand new 2016 Fusion. After 11,500k squeaking/creaking in front end. Took it to dealer, lubed and told me it's fine. Half an hour later I'm driving and hear horrible metal grinding sound. Took it back in gave me a loaner for couple of days, returned car to me. Now 10 days later squeaking/creaking is back! Called dealer said to bring it in again. This should not be occurring 10 days later! Feeling very ripped off.

I recently noticed that there was an area on my hood that was starting to rust. There was pitting starting on the hood. This morning I took the vehicle(2012 Ford Expedition) to a local Ford dealer. The body shop manager indicated that he would likely remove the hood and strip the paint. He stated that the hood is aluminum. He said that it would not be covered by warranty. I then contacted Ford Customer Care. I explained the problem and was told that it was not covered by warranty. When I asked about the Corrosion Warranty she replied that the corrosion must be all the way through. The only thing Ford offered was $300.00. The body shop said it would cost $900.00. I am thoroughly disgusted with Ford. It is the last Ford product that I will ever own. To make matters worse I read online that Ford has been experiencing similar problems with other aluminum hoods on other models.

On 02/08/2019 I simply rolled up my drivers side window, there was a loud pop and the window shattered into a million pieces. There was no apparent reason for this. No bumps or pot holes were driven over in the six miles I had traveled. It wasn't cold, was not running the AC, I had not touched the window in any way. Just simply rolled the window up. Oh, I should mention these are not electric windows, these are hand crank windows. I called my dealer Bill Currie Ford of Tampa, FL. I spoke with service department. They told me to bring it into the body shop and ask for Joe. I did what they told me. Spoke with Joe for less than 2 mins. Explained what has happened, showed him a picture that I had taken. We went back inside, Joe disappeared.
After a few mins. James ** handed me an estimate for the repair of the window at the cost of $369.29. I asked about warranty because it just shattered for no apparent reason to this he gave me no response. I explained I could not afford the cost. He said "I can maybe take off $50.00." I thanked him and departed. I then called Ford Customer Care, spoke with April whom was very helpful. Gave me a case number and told me to wait a few hours and call the service manager.
I did what I was instructed to do. I called Bill Currie Ford and asked to speak to the service manager, of course on got voice mail. I left a message with my case number and contact info. I called the next day, again getting only voice mail, again left the info. The service manager Mark has yet to respond to my calls. So now I have a car that cannot be secured. I am on the road all day and I am forced to park my car with the window wide open just asking for someone to take advantage of it.

I leased a 2017 Fusion Energi in late December. About three weeks ago, I found the battery completely dead. After jumping the vehicle, I took it to the dealership (521 miles on the vehicle). After numerous discussions with the dealership, as well as Ford Customer support, I have been told that the part is back ordered with no delivery date identified. In the meantime, I have to continue making the payments, etc. while I wait for a resolution. Ford has offered no options related to this situation other than to wait for the part which, as I state, has no delivery date associated with it. The customer service follow-through post purchase is nothing short of terrible. If you are considering purchasing a Ford product, I encourage you to reconsider. I know this is the last Ford product I will ever purchase.

I have a 2008 Ford Edge and have encountered the recording heating core failure problem. Ford has dealt with this issue with many customers but refuses to conduct a recall due to COST. I tried taking it for repair to Levittown Ford and Hempstead Ford with no luck. Shameful to not back their products.

Back in 2005 I purchased a brand new 2005 Ford Freestar, it had a faulty torque converter, and was replaced in 2013. Now then 1 year later I had the same problem (torque converter). I just got off the phone with a tech. at the Ford dealer and told him what happened... he said it's not covered "a recall is a 1 time fix", so even though they replaced my torque converter with another faulty 1 it's not their problem... I don't think that's fair, but then again what do I know, I'm just a consumer... What can a person do???

We have taken our 2008 Ford Edge into the dealer five times for this same issue over the course of five years. We had the extended warranty but that has run out and the fix is now $1600.00. It seems Ford had put faulty heater cores in the car and the solder inside the heater core is flaking off and plugging it up. Every time we returned the car to the dealer they flushed the system out and put a special coolant in that you cannot even buy in your local auto parts store. If you Google this issue with this vehicle there are hundreds of websites talking of this problem.
If Ford knew the issue was the heater core why would they not issue a recall for replacing them and not just flushing them? COST. Why should their customers be forced to foot the bill for their error? After bringing in a vehicle for the same problem five times you would think that would constitute replacing the heater core? If Ford was in fact about customer satisfaction like they claim. I guarantee this will be my last Ford product and I will sway family and friends from buying their products.

I have a 2012 Ford F350 with 59,300 miles on it. The first transmission service is due at 60,000 miles so I took it to Spradley Barr Ford in Colorado. They advised me that all I needed to do was flush the system and NOT drop the pan to change the filter, that is not needed until the next service at 120,000 miles according to them. I said I wanted the filter changed for an additional $ 120.00 or so. Good thing I did because they found a bunch of metal in the pan. They are covering it under warranty, however they have had my WORK truck for TWO MONTHS and four days now due to a back ordered part. They have told me THREE times that it will be in soon, what a bunch of crap. Ford has rebuilt transmissions in crates available but they just said "Too bad. So sad for you." You can wait. Ford is useless and has no customer service in mind.
Previously I had a 2002 Ford F350 diesel for fourteen years (2002-2016), I guess Ford loyalty is in the trash. The dealer even said Ford is not supporting the dealerships, WOW what a statement. If I EVER get my truck back it will be sold ASAP and off to Chevy I go. Furthermore I called their customer service line (a misnomer at best) and what does Ford do? They send you a questionnaire that asks if the call taker was polite, helpful etc... Nothing about what is going on, nor did I receive a call or Email about it - poof it's just gone. Ford has lost all concept of customer service. Good riddance Ford.

My husband & I were Ford truck "believers" for many years until 2016! From our past experience, we expected our 2008 F450 diesel (with the 6.4L engine), would take us into retirement and beyond until the engine blew up this year, with just over 100,000 miles! $18455.66 later, and a lousy 2 year warranty on the new (same, defective engine), we found out that this engine is "expected" to fail around 100,000 miles making it the worst engine in the Ford truck line. (Our 1999 F350 is still on the road at 250,000+ miles!)
I tried to contact Ford's Customer Service (which is really their Customer Dis-service as the one answering the phone only has a first name and no boss to appeal to). My expectation was to get a reasonable 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty on the new engine instead of a crappy 2 year warranty (which is equivalent to a 30,000 mile warranty). The mechanics told us they could bulletproof the replacement engine, after the 2 year warranty expired, for about $8000! My question is, why isn't the replacement engine "bulletproofed" already? What was once a great company with integrity has been replaced by fraud and failure. I am embarrassed to be driving a Ford after my humble retirement account has been robbed of $20,000.

Called Roadside Assistance on Christmas Day due to a flat (which of course is a big problem since you no longer have a spare and the inflation kit is worthless if you have any sidewall damage). Here is what transpired. I called and they confirmed a tow in about an hour. After an hour they called back to inform me that they cannot tow me to a dealership that is closed. On December 25th there are no dealerships open in the country!!! I asked if they could tow me home as courtesy especially since it was Christmas Day. They said, "No it is out of policy." FYI the Owner's Manual states that roadside assistance is available 24/7. PERIOD! No other rules or exceptions.
Bottom line they towed me 3 1/2 hours later to a tow lot in literally the worst part of the city from where I had to make home. Forget the fact that I spent 4 hours of Christmas stranded because of Ford's unstated policies, missed most of Christmas with my family and my newborn first grandchild. All Ford showed is that their custom care is a fiction (and possibly a violation of several consumer laws as they do not disclose this to their consumers). Bottom line if you need roadside assistance good luck if you need a tow outside of Dealer Hours. They simply don't care about their customers.

Dropped our Fiesta off at the dealership this morning for its third transmission rebuild. At least the employees there were honest and said that they were using the same faulty OEM parts that were used during the last two rebuilds. Has anyone tried to sue the dealership or salesman that lied and told them what a great vehicle it was when they were trying to sell it to ya. I ask because the same guy that told us that bs also told us what a piece of crap they were when we took our car back to the dealer three months later because the transmission failed. Never again.

In 2014 December I bought two brand new Ford transit connects with bumper to bumper 3 year 36000 mile warranty on both vehicles. Both vehicles encountered heater vibration problems and electrical problems with the lights. Took both vehicles to Ford and they worked on the first one by removing the center console to see what the problem was and they found a rodent's nest and body parts which they clean up and removed, but it was not covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. It cost me out of pocket over 400.00 dollars. The lights they said that it wasn't the bulb but rodents also had eaten the wires which again it not cover either under the bumper to bumper warranty so I could not see paying any more but that cost me 90.00 more dollars. So I was not willing to pay to have the second transit looked at.
My wife and I both had no luck with Ford's main office service because they said it wasn't their fault that rodents are eating the wiring and nesting in the heater unit. Disgusted with their answer I asked why are they using soy oil in their wiring insulation, seat foam plus the numerous pounds of recycled plastics and gasket materials. It's like a buffet for the rodents, they told they're being green! When I wrote the checks for both these vehicles at Ford I did not see anything about them using recycled crap in these brand new vehicles, if I did I would not have bought them. I told the person that contacted us "Why don't you smear steak sauce all over the car." But by using soy oil in the manufacturing it's the same results with the rodent problem.
While we were at Ford they laughed and said we were lucky they had a new car in the shop last week that was towed in because rodents had enjoyed eating most of the wiring but they said their insurance company paid thousands of dollars to repair it, why is it the insurance company's problem when Ford is inviting disaster by using soy oil in the manufacturing process so they can say they're green. But the consumers are not aware of this. My grandfather worked and retired from Ford motor company, he's rolling over in his grave now.
I have always bought Fords since I have been driving. Never have I had issues like this before, their smug attitudes that it's not their fault rodents are the problem, I say it is their fault for using soy oil and recycled crap for gaskets wiring insulation seat foam and trim products. There should be a class action law suit against them for the repairs. But they're not the only ones doing it. Something needs to be done, Maybe the United States steel workers union needs to put up pick lines on all the dealerships to let people know they're going to left in the cold.

I drove my truck 5 hours a day except for Sunday. My starter went out in my driveway. It started acting up 2 days before. I decided to have it towed to the Ford dealership near me. My wife told me what the estimate was going to be the next day $5,500. They told her the engine was going to have to be replaced. Even though the motor didn't burning any oil up. It had good suspension and steering or a safety hazard and had many parts to replace. When I spoke with the service manager he told me there were safety issues. The ball joints were going out all the way around. There are no ball joints in the rear. I believe there is no honesty or integrity and the way they run their service department. Most people don't bring an older vehicle to the dealership. But mine is a 2000 and this is 2016. I feel as though you get what you pay for. But not in this case.
Looking at the long list of repairs and how important they are their estimate should have been even more than what they told me giving me the impression that the job was probably going to be charged for and not done. Now there is $3,000 that I have for repairs. Overlooking the fact that the truck was brought in just for a starter I tried to negotiate take care of the safety issues which I don't know if I'll be charged and ripped off for. Because the suspension and steering I had been serviced correctly through the years. And to put a starter in add not replace the motor. Let's see if this is going to cost the full $3,000. I bet I'm going to be ripped off any way I look at it. Because it's my only vehicle and the truck is at the shop and immovable. I fear they're able to damage my engine and I can't do a thing to fix the situation. Ford service sucks.

Our Ford is 10 years old, was purchased used and has been maintenance free, except for normal maintenance from the day we purchased it. It rides and looks great. Ford makes a great vehicle and their service departments are great.

The truck is amazing. Great ride. Very smooth for a truck. Had it for 3 years and not one problem with anything. Ford f150 is a very dependable truck. It has lots of cab room a day. A very smooth ride. Easy to steer and to maneuver in traffic. Great visibility for a truck as well out all windows and mirrors.

I bought a 2013 Ford Focus 2 years ago as a used car. Approx. 25,000 on it. I have had continuous problems with the transmission and now the engine light is on, revealing I need an entire new fuel system! The Valve, gasket, fuel pump, and a new fuel tank!!! $2000.00 worth of work on a car 3 years old. Oh yeah the radio is gone too and needs to be replaced! How does this happen. Nothing is covered by warranty except the clutch. Needless to say I am extremely upset and will not ever buy another Ford. I have written directly to Ford about this but not hopeful that I will hear from them.

The car ride is very smooth and quiet. Our Ford Edge is everything and more than we expected. Plenty of room inside. The panoramic moon roof is awesome. The car handles beautifully. Very stylish looking inside and out.

It maneuvers really great on the road & its driving comfort is perfect. Mileage is really good too? We have had several different makes of vehicles but the two Fords that we have are what we were looking for & to date the service has been excellent! Our prev vehicle had repairs/replacements that needed to be done at 100k and we were not advised when purchased. Ford was truthful & did their best to find what we were looking for including the color. Their service dept has notified us any time they see something of concern and it's not always costly. The vehicles are a joy to drive. We were always Chev people but their sales staff were not very accommodating & refused to deal to make the sale. Their loss!

Don't purchase a Ford Vehicle. The transmission will most likely die on you early on. I cannot tell you how upset I am for the purchase of my Ford. I have to say a prayer each and every time I am driving this car, in particular, if you are driving the vehicle up a grade. The odometer on my car is only 25977 miles. A "LEMON" in every sense!

I have a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria police interceptor. It's a good car. 4.6 liter. These are really good, strong cars and do last a long time if you take care of them. I know a quite a few people who have one. But be careful if you buy one. It's the gas tank you have to watch because they put these rubber mounts on the bottom of the tank where the straps hold up the tank. Water gets trap in between the mounts and within a couple of years you're leaking gas because it's all rust. A lot of people don't know this. Even the cops because they're still driving these cars. Ford messed up on this one.

I bought a Ford car because I was tired of people in my community harassing me for not buying American. I previously owned a Toyota and a Mini Cooper. Sadly, Ford sold me a lemon. I took delivery on a Fiesta that came out of factory missing a wiring harness! I asked to replace this lemon. Instead, the service department at the dealership was sheepish about the problem. After a 40 minute wait, the workers emerged. They finally told me about the wiring harness after they said that it had already just been installed. Problem solved. There were other problems, but I racked up mileage and was told that my car is out of warranty, so I'd have to pay for the repairs. Now, I have a key fob problem. Both the customer service representatives and the dealership are giving me the run around because replacement costs run over $250. Every time I get someone on the phone, their response changes. I was better off NOT buying a Ford.

Our 2011 Ford Edge has a leaky Transmission Power Unit (google "Ford TPU leak" to find more information), about 2,000 miles beyond than extended warranty. The cost to replace is estimated to be $1,800. I filed a case (**) with Ford and after multiple calls they still refuse to offer any compensation. This is the last Ford vehicle I will ever buy - why be loyal to Ford when their loyalty is a joke?

Recently the company I work for decided to go with the Ford F-550 for all of our tanker trucks. WORST decision they ever made! We have Ram 5500s that have had NO problems with the weight they carry. They weigh in at 17,000 empty and 22,000 full. The F-550s we have are overloaded right out of the box... sitting on the overload springs completely empty! They go through brakes every 15-20k miles as opposed to the RAMs every 50-60k. The Ford rides like a log wagon and sways like you wouldn't believe. Also, if you are looking for a more user friendly interior then the RAM is the way to go. The Ford will also make you want to find the designer and tie him to an ant hill the first time you go to do maintenance on this nightmare of a design! Both trucks costing about the same... go with the RAM. If you choose the Ford... Good luck!

I bought my 2014 Ford Fiesta Sedan (manual) in late 2013/early 2014 from Sun State Ford in Orlando FL. The car was BRAND NEW. Literally, I drove it off the lot with 7 miles on it. Fast forward to August 2016 and my transmission no longer goes into 3rd gear. I call Sun State Ford and leave a message, wait 2 days... no call back, I call again, no call back, call again next week, no call back. This process continues on for another 2-3 weeks until I finally got back from my travels abroad and decide to call them and act like a new customer. This time I do get a call back and they are more than happy to sell me a new car with their wonderful 15 year 150k mile warranty. After I get all the info I need and confirmation that drivetrain will be covered for 15 years and 150k miles, I change up the story and tell them about the car I bought and how the Finance Manager that's in charge of warranty claims like mine will not speak to me or return my calls.
Fast forward 10 minutes of back and fort Q&A from Sun State Ford customer service rep and she tells me "I'm going to walk to the other side of our campus and have the manager call you directly, please allow me no more than 5 minutes." I oblige and thank her for her wonderful customer service and help, considering she's been the only one to ease my headache of 3 weeks now, almost a month. 5 minutes go by, 10 minutes go by, 15 mins go by, 30 mins go by. I call back, no answer. I call the customer service department... NO ANSWER! Are you ** kidding me???
Now, I will be driving 1000 miles in my ** Sun State Ford in Orlando, FL from Baltimore, MD just to raise hell. At the same time I have paid my lawyer $400 to start working on my case. Good luck Ford and Sun State Ford in Orlando FL. Have fun fixing my car and paying me for it. 1/10 Service. NEVER EVER buying a car from Ford again. Also, my lawyer is set to start a class action lawsuit because apparently there are 100-400 similar issues to mine all over the US.

Recently when driving my vehicle, which is one year out of warranty, I've found that my car stops suddenly in the middle of the road, with traffic behind me! A small wrench light comes on, the car starts shaking and stops driving. I have to turn off and restart the car to get it going again, until it feels like dying again. I've gotten stuck now 1-3 times a day, once in the middle of a busy intersection. Once it happened on the highway, and luckily no one was directly behind me for the moment, and I was able to limp my car to the shoulder (3 lanes over). My car gives me no limp-ability any longer.
Ford gives me no satisfaction, although they acknowledge that this has happened with other years & models, and offered a temporary fix program (it appears to be a defective throttle body that needs to be replaced) for some of those vehicles, but that temporary deal is over now. I refuse to pay Ford to fix my problem, and now just plan to get rid of this vehicle and never buy a Ford again.

Writing this because people have been complaining about this and wondering which direction to turn? My daughter's boyfriend was in need of a new car. I suggested the Ford Fusion so he purchased a new 2016 in December. The car now has 10,000 miles on it and it stopped running. We have had the car in the local dealership and they have found wires that have been chewed by rodents that number one are not covered by warranty. After going on to Google, I have found that this is a problem that many new car companies are finding.
The wiring that is being used is of a material that rodents love and find irresistible to chew. My question is who is going to pay for this if warranty doesn't cover this? Do we have to sue? Also who do we sue? This is not going to be inexpensive? Just really can't believe with all the people complaining that something is not being done. Please respond -- you can call me **.

My 2015 Ford Mustang is still under factory warranty. The paint on the hood start bubbling. The car will be on the body shop for 3 days so I called Ford because in my opinion they have to give a rental car and pay for that. Mr. Mario ** (Regional Customer Service Manager) called me today to let me know that they won't pay for the rental. My car is under warranty, is not my fault the paint failed!!! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT!!! I will have to be without a vehicle for 3 days. That situation will affect my job and personal responsibilities. I currently own 2 Ford vehicles, but I feel that means nothing to them. I let him know how I feel it but he didn't care about that. Maybe is time to change the brand. Bye Ford.

2014 Ford transit van - This car isn't even 2 years old and I noticed hundreds of small holes in the paint. Took it into the local Ford dealership to see if the warranty covers it and, WELL OF COURSE!! No, it isn't covered because it is supposedly due to "rock damage from the roads", that none of our other (more used) cars have. In addition, the dealership will not put this into writing so that I can complain to the "road people". Now, I read all over the internet where Ford simply has cheap and terrible paint for their vehicles. Will be the last one I buy.

My 2015 Ford Taurus Limited has left me stranded 4 times since I purchased the vehicle. The problem seems to be with the fuel pump module, which has now been replaced 3 times in less than 3 months. The reason I am complaining is because of Ford customer service. I reached out to them on 9/26/2016 at 10:33 AM, and I was told that a regional customer service manager would contact me in 1 day. It is currently 11:13 AM on 9/28, and I haven't heard from anyone.
First of all, I have been without a vehicle for 4 of the last 6 days which affects my job, family, income, and personal responsibilities. There seems to be no sense of urgency for Ford and its customer service department to help me. I currently own 3 Ford vehicles, but I feel as that means nothing to them, and they could care less that I am a loyal customer. I feel that Ford needs to step up and take some responsibility and do right to me by compensating me for the missed income and expenses that have occurred due to this faulty vehicle.
I have rented cars because of being stranded, and last week spent the night in a parking garage in downtown Chicago in my car with my family due to the failed vehicle. This is not right Ford! I shouldn't be the person that is paying for a troubled car that has only 26K miles. Sure the warranty is still in effect, but what do I do when stranded places? I doubt this will go anywhere but maybe someone from Ford reads this and steps up.

I purchased my Ford Edge in April at over 35,000 dollars. The car was back at the dealers for a leak on the passenger side the floor was wet. On August 5 the car stalled and the wrench light was on. It broke down and had to be towed. the dealer kept it until the 11 of August. It broke down the same day again. It was towed again - same thing wrench light. Kept until the 27 of August. Then I noticed my back-up camera was not working. Took it back it was fine they said. Ford Customer care does nothing to help. This is a brand new car, only had 10 miles on it. I am very disappointed with Ford and will keep fighting until a new car shows up at my door. I want this wrong corrected.
My Ford Edge has been back to the dealer a total of 4 times. I have filed a complaint with Ford 4 times. The is a major safety issue. But no one seems to understand it. And that people's lives are at danger. Write and call every aspect of Ford. I think a class action lawsuit needs to be filed. It is clear to me that this car left the Canada plant this way. This should have never happened. Also, the lemon law need to benefit the customer not corporate. I am going to change that in my state, too. Why should I be forced to pay for a car that is clearly a safety hazard? All because Ford Motor Company cannot admit they built a lemon. To my fellow consumers keep fighting.

9.18.16 Backed halfway under carport (late evening). 15/20 min later while in the bed unloading camping gear I heard crackling noise. Looked over cab and saw smoke and flames coming from engine compartment. It happened so fast. The wind was not in my favor as I smelled nothing. Fire concentrated on passenger side but truck is a total loss. Fire dept. took an ax to the hood cause the linkage was melted and they couldn't open hood to put fire out (strange why they choose that spot). No indication as to why or how this happened. Only 68K miles. I am devastated. I made this truck unique with custom adds and it was MINE!! I am a die hard FORD Lady and now not so sure I want to replace it with another one. My heart is broke.

After 16 yrs of almost impeccable service my wife's 2001 Mazda Tribute XL engine failed with 165k miles. We got a lot of enjoyment and an excellent quality vehicle. So we started a search for a new product Toyota Honda Pilot, Mazda CX-5 excellent engineering and very dynamic, Ford Explorer. Mist full size SUVs have 3 rows of seats and are too large to fit in out 3 car garage. I was never really impressed with the Ford Escape 2010 and earlier. Tested a 2012 with 80k miles and it ran well but the dealer price of 16k was too high. Found another 2012 with sunroof and 56k miles. Not bad but 5k. Finally we tested a Ford Escape XLT FWD 4 cyl with 25k miles in mint condition. Bought in the spot for 14k from a private party (Craigslist), added Ford bumper to bumper warranty 4 yr 36k miles additional for $2k.
This is an impressive high quality vehicle with good technology, excellent power, 32 miles highway 26 city. Since we bought in the past 3 months have not a single problem. Just delights & surprises. Kudos to Ford Motor Company for building such an outstanding well designed right sized product. Too bad the 2013 and on design new look like most oriental mini SUVs. I highly recommend this product to all my friends and foes.

Ford did a recall back in April. We had to wait 3 months for them to develop the "software fix" with no rental, no reimbursement, nothing. We been battling them all week. The fix did not work, and now they are putting it on the dealer. Left the dealership today as they have no idea what is wrong with the truck, how to fix it and we couldn't negotiate another deal. No one will take responsibility and the truck is not drivable. Ford Customer Service department are completely useless, they have nothing but "sorry, too bad." This is our 3rd Ford and our last. Unreal, that a company like that can issue a letter advising the vehicle is not safe to drive, and then do nothing about it.

I was hit with a 2015 Dodge journey on the passenger side. The speed I was hit it wasn't for that much damage, the truck couldn't take it as it should, it bent the frame. The truck was totalled, and the Dodge journey only had minor damage on the front corner driver side. The plastic cover and the hood bent on the corner and some plastic parts totally repairable. Definitely ford has to do a lot better and redo this whole truck that drives like a Japanese car. The vibration for any little pothole is another story, terrible.

Bad design putting the water pump inside the block of the motor. When the water pump breaks it takes the grease out of the bearings leaving the motor useless. Instead of $300 to replace water pump now I have to pay 7600 for a new motor. It makes no sense.

2010 Ford Fusion stalls out and the orange wrench light comes on. The vehicle will stay running while idling roughly. After shutting off the vehicle and restarting the car, it will drive like nothing is wrong with it and will randomly have the same problem the next time I drive it. I tested it and I received the code P2111 THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL SYSTEM - STUCK OPEN. After finding out many people have had problems with the same part I contacted Ford - only to be told that since it isn't acting up for them, that Ford will not allow them to replace it. The vehicle is still at the dealership while they continue to test drive it and get it to stall out. This is a huge hazard! It is amazing that more people have not been killed or injured by an unresponsive car while crossing traffic. This part should have been an actual "recall". Way to drop the ball, Ford and consumer safety watchdogs!

ETA on repairing their FACTORY-WARRANTIED transmission is 2+ months. Why? Because the parts they need are backordered throughout the world. THAT'S how bad this problem is! The kicker? A few years ago, I purchased a 2004 White Police Interceptor Crown Victoria. Shortly after the purchase, I noticed that the paint was peeling and blowing away with the wind. This was not my first experience with this condition, so I knew immediately what was wrong. Incompatibility between the paint and primer used at the factory. At the start of flaking, I scraped away the loose paint on the edges of the patch, primered it with a spray can hoping to seal the edges and not allow the wind to lift more of the paint. Then I repainted the spots with a spray can of white paint. Sorry to report that this patch only lasted a matter of weeks before the wind got under the original paint once again and flaking continued.
I have a bunch of pictures showing this condition covering most of the roof and trunk lid as well spots on the rest of the car. I had thought of putting a sign on the car stating that this was an original Ford paint job that was flaking away, but I haven't done that yet. I had to at least prime the roof spots because rust was starting to show. I called Ford service only to find out the people who answered were not Ford employees, but a company hired as gatekeepers to fend off pesky complaints that they probably dumped in the trash at the end of each shift. Apparently Ford is not interested in owning up to their mistake with the paint job as they have ignored my request for a fix. As I said above, this is not my first experience with this issue.
I purchased a 1986 Ford F-150 that exhibited the exact same problem with the paint, and after much correspondence with Ford (at that time you could talk directly to a Ford rep.), they recalled the truck, stripped the paint completely and repainted the whole truck. I am very pleased with this car in every other way and would be forever grateful if someone out there could reach into Ford and bring this to their attention, and hopefully, a satisfactory resolution. Ford had a recall on their airbags & our vehicle had an accident. The airbag deployed. The body shop was told the part was on backorder and they have to wait for it to be released. We had our rental car covered by our insurance for 30 days. When that ran out I contacted Ford since the part was on backorder to cover the rental expense for the remaining days till the car is ready. Ford just called to inform me they cannot cover it!! I will never buy a Ford Vehicle again!!!

I actually brought my 2009 Ford Edge in today and they said that I need a new fuel tank. They called me and said "has your airbag light always been on," I said "no". They said it will be 120$ a hour to fix. "What the hell. No thanks" and then I got home later on on and without warning or light on the dash my coolant starts bubbling so hot the reservoir spews on my driveway... Second time it has done that almost and could easily start a fire, I'm wondering is that what the recall is for? And what else can I do about it. I'm pretty choked and think there should be more done about this? Anyways if anyone has any input or experience the same and has some experience to not happen again that be great. Thank you.

On July 19, 2016 I went to Crest Lincoln at 36200 Van Dyke, Sterling Heights, MI to purchase a vehicle. I worked with salesman name ** on a new 2016 MKX so he brought me one and I bought the SUV. So on July 21, 2016 which is two day later I found out it is damage and repaired horrible so it was damage. So I took the SUV back to the dealer and spoke to ** so I could exchange and ** told, "You purchased. It's over. There is nothing I or the dealer could do." I called Ford company and they offered to fix it but I don't want to fix. I want new one that is why I bought supposed to be new. So Ford refused to help. What a scam a $50,000 plus tax. I would never buy any domestic vehicles again. My friends and family we never buy Ford...

We purchased a new ford ranger and from the start gearbox trouble, peter warren warwick farm in Sydney were very very bad at any service and could not return phone calls. But when you want to buy different story, shocking company. 4 times gearbox trouble, bolts falling out. We don't go off road at all, just city use. Ford head office in Melbourne just the same weak as piss, all talk no action once they get your money. No more fords for me in my life again. Rubbish ute and even worse service and just lies from them. No wonder the Australian government has stopped giving the manager's more money for their pockets, taxpayers money!!!

Due to past help with constructing the PeaceNet a small International Network; that ultimately turned into the Internet, I can do things most people cannot. The e-mail explains the problems I am having with a Ford Escape. It is a new car with less than a thousand miles on it that is viewed as a deathtrap. Even more problems have come up by research that make the situation even worse. Every time the word Ford comes down the Internet, I am sent the e-mail address. Other words in the e-mail such as purchase can be used to define the list. I have amassed the e-mails of thousands of people that are considering purchasing something from Ford. The Ford resolution department has tried to solve the problem by giving me the X-Plan pricing.
The problem is that I would purchase a Ford Edge which is a much safer car and I can get my wife and family to ride in. I have not been able to make a deal on an Edge even though I have the reduced pricing on the Edge because I cannot get the zero percent 72 month financing like I have on the Escape. I am 75 years old, my wife and I live on Social Security and have a house that has expenses plus living expenses that happen even though the house is paid for. I have a credit rating of 815. I live as economically as possible; no extra anything and never go to restaurants or any kind of entertainment. However, a large car payment does not fit into the budget. 72 month or 84 month would be ideal. I have had the Escape repaired at the finest body shop around and carries a lifetime guarantee on the work.
Everybody at Ford Resolution is telling me I have to go to Ford Finance for the longer terms. I am going to lose money on the trade in even though it has only three digit miles on it. I have tried to get Ford to take the car back and they will not. Their resolution is that they give me a low price on the purchase, but the dealers will not give me the same finance arrangement. So I am appealing to Ford Finance. There are dealers in the far North area of Chicago that have longer Zero percent financing. I don't know if they use Ford Financing or not. Purchasing a car at a dealer 80 miles away makes no sense. If I cannot make a deal at a price and financing, then I must do my e-mail campaign.
I am ready to send thousands of e-mails everyday to people around the world telling them the five points that I have found, as an Engineer by trade, that makes this car dangerous and risky to drive. I go into great detail about this. I have nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. I would not let one of them ride in the rear area of this Ford Escape. The way that glass rear window just exploded after the accident is real scary. Glass came up into the front area like it was a bullet. It is my duty as a responsible citizen to do this.

My daughter bought her very first car after college and entering in the real world as a teacher. She purchased a used 2013 Ford Escape. After only 10 months she was driving down the road and went to turn and the steering wheel would not turn. Thankfully she was not on a curve going 55 mph when this happen. She was driving at a slow speed since she was getting ready to turn. Then realized she couldn't turn continued straight until she could get off the road and call her dad. This happened on a Wednesday and she called the dealership and they said "bring the car in at 8:30 Thursday morning."
The car was taken to the Cloninger Ford of Hickory NC where she purchased the car and had the car serviced. She was pressured by the salesman to purchase an extended warranty (certified wrap covered warranty) 84 months or 100,000 miles that was to cover anything major. As he stated anything but belts and spark plugs those cheap replacement items would be covered. So we were sure that whatever was wrong would be covered with the warranty. The car only has 69,290 miles and is only 3 years old. After the car was checked out they came and told her it would be $2006.00 which she does not have. She was told it was not covered under the warranty. She was told the electric power steering had gone out and the gear assembly steering part #3504 needed to be replaced. I can't believe no recall on something this serious.
The worst part of all is they let my 25 year old daughter drive away knowing what was wrong with this vehicle. She could have been injured or killed or injured or killed someone else. They better be thankful that my daughter was not injured or killed or even in an accident - it would have cost them so much more than $2006.00. I would own that dealership!!!!! We will never own a Ford and we will make sure that everyone knows about our experience. Today at 5:30 she will be trading her Ford Escape for a Chevrolet due to the customer service with Ford 1-800 # being no help and telling us to contact the dealership Cloninger Ford which offered no assistance. We were told it was a policy that Ford Motor Company has. Bottom line don't learn the hard way like we did and lose approximately $6706.00, stay away from Ford vehicles. Plus my daughter could have lost her life which is not replaceable. Yes one upset but thankful parent.

In 2005 my husband I purchased a 2000 Ford Windstar with 95,000 miles on it. Keep good upkeep on it. Blew a head gasket, as did two friends who owned Windstars. Owned a 1989 Areostar, motor blew. Bought 1999 Aerostar, lots of issues. Bought a 2005 Ford Taurus this past Nov. Rear suspension problems, left rear body was rubbing the tire. Had the struts replaced on both rear, but the left is still rubbing the tire on even small bumps so, I guess we will be replacing the springs.
Any time I slow down on the highway, I can't get back to speed fast all all. It bogs down. If I press more on the gas it chugs like it going to die. Have to gradually pick up speed then I feel it kick in and go, then it's fine 'til I have to slow down again. In town it sputters and chugs, surges. I bought this car thinking it would be safer than the 99 Aerostar...but I am scared in both vehicles now. Throwing money into them left and right. I know old cars are gonna have problems but this is unreal. I am still paying the 05 Taurus off.
I keep saying each time we go get a new vehicle, I am not ever buying another Ford, I want a Chevy. But it is hard to find lower priced Chevys used because people seem to keep them forever. Fords are everywhere, so I keep buying other people's headaches. Now I must replace all the springs on the 05, in fear of killing my grandson that is only 4 years old. I have finally established credit with my bank on this one and as soon as it's paid off, I'm getting a loan for a Chevy that I know I can trust and getting rid of this headache. Never a Ford again! It's pretty sad that I have a 96 Old Cutlass that I hit a big pregnant black angus at night at 65 miles per hour and still runs and drives better than any of the others.

I have a 2013 Ford Edge limited with throttle body issues. There are pages and pages and pages of complaints online but ford will not recall the vehicle. The car loses power and will not allow you to press the gas, it basically just rolls until you roll to a safe or not so safe place to pull over. I had this issue within the first two years of the purchase. It was repaired about 8 months ago and now again. It having the same issue. The salesman knew there was an issue and even said that he just drove a brand new one off the lot that had the same issue. FORD EDGE THROTTLE BODY NEEDS TO BE RECALLED BEFORE SOMEONE DIES!!!

I own a 2012 Ford Edge with 40,000 miles on it. The leather seats are falling apart because of inferior quality leather. Ford will not take responsibility for their use of shoddy materials. Beware of Ford vehicles with leather because the leather is extremely low quality. My car with cloth seats is twice as old and shows no wear. My Ford Edge is a disgrace. And because of Ford Motor Company's lack of concern. No more Fords for me.

I recently purchased a 2016 Ford Expedition. This vehicle is extremely noisy and I am unable to get any contact from Ford Motor Company. I have a case number and a contact, Mark **, who does not call me back. I have left at least six messages on his voice mail. This is my 3rd Expedition, Ford replaced the V-8 Engine that was in my earlier models with a V-6, added a very noisy fan to cool the AC system without notification to the buyer.
My dealer has contacted Engineering and they say they do not have a problem and that the noise is Normal?? They do have a problem and need to provide a solution or terminate their engineers. The mechanics and Service manager and dealer at my dealership agree that the car is very noisy and believe Ford also went cheap on the AC system and that is why engineering put huge fan (noisy) in vehicle, to Cover their back end! I would not recommend the 2016 Expedition or the F-150 with the V-6 to anyone. Vehicle is not to Ford standards and neither is their Customer Care division.

Ford Motor Credit is attempting to charge me a $100 fee for a "speeding ticket" on my vehicle. Ford notified me of the ticket and I proceeded to immediately contest the ticket. About 30 days afterwards, I find the fee of $100 on my account. I called Ford and notified them that it was my intention to contest the ticket and that by them having paid it, they are precluding me from being able to continue with the contestment. After waiting for over 8 days for a supervisor to contact me, I just spoke to Miguel ** who was very disrespectful, called me a liar, and told me that he will not remove the fee. I told Mr. ** that I will use this to end my lease and proceed to file in small claims court and that I would be mentioning him by name and he stated "Go ahead and do it. I'm writing it down."
I have never been so disrespected when dealing with another company and I want the fee removed. I followed the instructions on the letter to call the jurisdiction to contest the ticket and Ford proceeded to pay the ticket and attempt to charge me for it. The letter contained a typo which confused me and even after having admitted to the mistake, Mr. ** refuses to eliminate the fee. I will not pay the ticket and I want it removed. I also want ** held accountable for his disrespect and actions.

Quality and customer service are they a dinosaur of the past? It seems so. We purchased a 2009 Ford Diesel truck in May of 2010 with the expectation that this truck with a diesel engine would last upwards in the 200,000-300,000 mileage range with proper maintenance and care, which is one of the major selling points of a diesel engine. The truck was paid off and in September of 2015 just one month out of warranty this truck had to have both turbochargers replaced at Henry Day Ford for a little over $5,000.00. The mileage was at 90,651. Just under the engine break in period as is normally advertised. We asked the service advisor at that time, what more can we do to prevent these costly repairs. The answer was nothing can be done, except regular oil changes at proper intervals. In May of this year we had what we thought to be the exact same problem and returned it to Henry Day Ford to get it repaired.
We were told that it would be over $21,000.00 to repair the truck as the engine was beyond repair, two cylinders had low compression. The original price on the truck was just under $35,000.00 and adding in the costly repair in September we are now at $40,000 for a truck with 100,499 miles on it, and it is not running. My first question; what has happened to quality in a product? I remember in the past one of Ford's main advertising statement was 'Quality is job one.' Apparently in Ford's case, quality is not a job at all. Do we as providers or manufacturers expect to deliver less than the best quality to our customers and consumers? Are we OK with the terrible quality of products and goods that we produce and pass along to the consumer or customer? The fact that we as providers do not put our foot down and say no, we will not sell an inferior product because we have to stand behind it. When it fails, and it will, we look bad too.
I know at Tingey Plumbing & Heating we make that choice all the time. There are products that we will not carry from certain manufacturers because of the quality. What would happen if more companies would take that stand? My second question; does customer service even exist anymore? My answer is simple when dealing with Henry Day Ford. Not only no, but absolutely, without question no. We received one phone call from the service advisor to tell us the engine was gone, and when dissatisfaction was expressed, it was implied that it happens frequently. I have made the balance of the phone calls to try to resolve this massive financial disaster to our company with the service manager and he has never attempted to call me back, or give me a realistic resolution to solve the problem. Their answer was bringing the bill down from $21,000.00 to $16,000.00.
In the meantime we had placed a call to Ford Motor Company to lodge a complaint and were given a confirmation number and were told someone from Ford Motor Company would call us back. We waited and waited and waited. Meanwhile we have a truck that is not on the road and a technician that does not have his truck to work out of. After a week we called Ford Motor Company back to be told we needed to call the service manager at Henry Day Ford. We took the truck to a different dealer to get a second opinion. We took it to Ken Garff (next door to Henry Day Ford), who has a Ford trained master mechanic that looked at the problem. At first inspection they thought it was a different problem and quoted us $6,300.00 dollars to repair it and when I asked if it was in fact the engine would they still charge us, I was told yes. This is where the huge difference in customer service comes in.
Their mechanic decided to use a borescope and look at the cylinders to make sure their diagnosis was correct and he found out the truck had indeed lost two cylinders. Ken Garff then quoted after several calls to us to try to resolve the problem $13,999.00 to replace the engine. Great customer service from Ken Garff. When I called the service manager at Henry Day Ford in an attempt to get help from Ford Motor Company or Henry Day Ford, I was told by the service manager they do not build the trucks so do not take it out on them. He told me that they were not making any money on the engine replacement and that the other dealer could not possibly replace the engine for that price. I asked him if he had even called Ford Motor Company to see if they would do anything and he said no. He expressed over and over again how it would not be fair to him for me to write any bad reviews as they do not build the vehicle.
I asked him to call Ford Motor Company and he said he could call the territorial manager and said he would get back to me... he never did. It's been over a week. It appears to me the customer service that Henry Day Ford gives, is to itself, they are more concerned about customers being fair to them than taking care of a serious defect in a diesel truck that is 6 years old with 100,499 miles on it. Yes Henry Day Ford, I know that you do not build the truck but you represent the company and honestly, I have had more customer service in the airport security line in LA, although the wait is about the same, deathly slow or non-existent. Which brings me to the question again, is customer service extinct? I know that in a majority of companies it is, but there are some that still believe that customer service is a top priority. I know that it makes a difference in our customers because they tell us that it does.
Why should they settle for mediocrity? Why should any of us? I know that I will never buy another Ford product again; I will never go to Henry Day Ford again. I will not give money to a company that demonstrates a severe lack of quality in addition to an incredible lack of customer service. Can we make a difference? Yes we can if enough people cry out. You either listen to them and respond or you ignore them and hope they go away before you do. Eventually they go away because customer service sets you apart from others who provide the same product.

I purchased my 2012 Ford Fiesta in September of 2015. When I test drove it, it ran great and was excellent on gas. I needed something since I commute an hour each way for work. About a month after I purchased it, I began to have issues with the transmission. It would shutter and stall when shifting gears when taking off, or would seem like it was skipping a gear when taking off. I went into the Ford dealer in Santa Fe where I work and they basically said that is the way the transmission is designed and wouldn't even look at it.
I proceeded to take it to a dealer in the town I lived in and they ended up replacing the clutch and reprogramming the TCM. This worked for a few months and now I have the same issue, on top of a engine light coming on and off, and a rattle when the car is turned off. I've taken it back to the dealer to be told it's not a transmission issue but engine codes and of course more money to be spent.
I've complained multiple times about these issues as I've done research and see that this is an all too common issue. Now I'm talking with a second customer service manager for Ford and hope to hear some good news about them either fixing the car or buying it back. Quite honestly the worst car and worst customer service experiences I've had with any car I've owned. I will never purchase a Ford again because of it.

My wife and I bought a 2012 Ford Flex limited with 42k miles in July of 2015 due to expecting twin babies. Well, it hasn't even been a full year and only 13k miles later and we are already having to spend $1100 on replacing the rack and pinion. I've owned a BUNCH of vehicles in my life so far with FAR more miles than this and never had to have anything major replaced like this. I am disgusted at the reliability of this vehicle especially on how much it cost in the first place. I will NEVER buy a Ford again. There are too many other options out there.

I'm having Ford Fiesta 2014 sE. DUE TO RECALL IN CLUTCH I HAVE SET AN APPOINTMENT FOR MY CLUTCH REPLACEMENT FOR TODAY, May 24, 2016 at Edmonton, AB at 91 STREET. But they have not received clutch from USA and asked me to go back for 3rd time. In past the service guys have done the same thing, they called me to service station and then asked me to go back. Do they do communication in between? Or at least notify your customer before they arrived. I have changed my working shift because of them for 3rd time and what I got at the end: nothing. Poor service. Very Upset with the customer service they are offering.

I just bought a 2016 Ford FX4 crew cab truck. I have been driving Ford vehicles all my life and thought I would never even consider another make. Well, that may change. This truck has been a big disappointment from day one. Following is my review... I switched from a 3.5 EcoBoost to a 2.7 EcoBoost in hopes that I would get better mileage. Not only is it worse than the 3.5, the economy readout on the dash is consistently 2.5-3.5 mpg less than the actual mileage. I have Checked every tank since I bought it.
The Ford SYNC is a joke. The most user unfriendly system I have encountered. And I leave my iPod connected all the time and never touch it. The radio recognizes it about 50% of the time. I have changed power cords twice thinking there may be a short. But no change. If it was a short it would also affect it while playing. But when it plays it works perfectly. The driver side window does what it wants to sometimes. It may go down when you want it up. Or vice versa.
The structural rigidity of this truck is nothing like my 2014. It jiggles and shakes like a 1981 Pontiac when on uneven pavement. The worst gas filler ever! Every time I lock the fuel nozzle on and wait for it to fill up, it clicks off the nozzle like it's supposed to, but you better not be standing behind it! Almost every fill up dumps a quart of gas all over the ground. The driver door speaker is already buzzing and vibrating. The coating in the bed is useless. It's like a sheet of greasy ice. Everything slides all over the bed, so I have to lock it down. I have yet to figure out how the trailer back up assist works. For the amount of money this truck costs, Ford really screwed up on this one. I will be looking elsewhere soon. I'd like to have my 2014 back.

I own a 2010 Ford Fusion. I paid off my car in Jan. 2016 and the warranty expired w/o the option to renew. Lo and behold my power steering started failing, so my husband researched the issue and found there is a pending class action against Ford Motor Co. for the exact same issue. I needed to get my car fixed because it was dangerous. The repairs cost over $1,600. I asked Ford Motor Co. to reimburse me for the repairs since it was discovered in the lawsuit that Ford knew of the defect prior to the 2010 Ford Fusion going into production. What was Ford's response, "Because your car is out of warranty and you agreed to pay for the repairs, the claim is denied." Ford is not a reputable company. They hid the issue and only issued a recall on later models. The cost of replacement has created a hardship on my family. Shame on you Ford for not standing behind your products. $1,600+ is a minimal amount to Ford. Why can't they step up?

On May 9, 2016 in Manchester NH our 2015 Ford F150 Lariat spontaneously caught fire and destroyed itself and a car in the adjacent parking spot. The vehicle was parked a few feet outside our office window when smoke came pouring out of the hood of the truck. The truck was unattended, was NOT running, just suddenly started burning out of control. It eventually burnt to the ground, destroying the front of our office concrete walls, office windows, pavement, and the car next to it.

The 2008 Ford Escape is the worst built car with many complaints. Ford is aware of this problem and does nothing. The engine in my 2008 Escape blew up. They knew this car was a problem for the consumer yet they refuse to help in any way. I will never buy another Ford. Consumer beware. The American people bailed out the car companies and they still can't make a decent car. The car is worthless without the engine.

Recently I realized that my air conditioner was not working. Took it to my local Ford dealer to determine problem and get fixed. The A/C Evaporator Core Discharge Temp Sensor was bad and needed to be replaced. The good news was that this part only cost $32. The bad news was that it was behind the dash which would require removal of the dash to install a new part. My cost was $1255. I contacted Ford and told them that this was poor engineering and the part could have been located in a more accessible spot.
The customer service person acted very concerned and told me they would send an expedited email to the Ford dealer service manager because they would be able to help me. When I talked to the service manager she had no idea what she was to do for me other than charge me the estimated repair cost. I've contacted Ford 2 more times about this matter and all they have done is turned their back on my situation. How does Ford think that they have no responsibility for poor engineered design? My Ford case number is **, but is apparently just a number and means nothing to Ford.

Ford says that MyKey is a safety feature and added security. When enabled, your keys are limited by speed and music volume. However, if you somehow get both keys set as MyKey, there is nothing undo feature that the customer can do, except take the car to the dealership, and pay between $150 and $300 dollars to have this reset. I called Ford consumer complaints and asked them to pay for this, since their faulty system caused the problem, and was told no, and there was no one else to talk to at Ford to get this done. It is way too easy to do this by mistake, and then you are locked out of your enjoyment and use of the car you purchased. Basically, a Ford customer is not worth $150 to keep them happy. I will never buy from Ford again.

In July 2014 I received a letter of a Recall on my vehicle regarding the Torque Sensor and Steering Column going out. I took it in to the Dealership where they did whatever they were suppose to do (I assume), though it only took them approx. 5 to 10 mins. At that time I was not having any issues with my vehicle. Speed up now to March 2016, I started having issues with my steering wheel vibrating and moving back and forth and my vehicle making odd noises. I took it in to the same dealership to be checked, they did a diagnostic test and told me my Torque Sensor/steering column were going out. I had them do the repairs.
That evening after I okay'd the repairs I found the Recall Letter which was in regards to the issue I was having now with my vehicle. I told Steve in the Service Dept and he called Ford Motors to see if my vehicle was covered for the Parts and Labor as the Recall letter stated, he was told "No". I also called Ford Motors and was told "No" that the Recall had expired. In the Recall letter it states that "Alternatively, the dealer may need to replace the torque sensor or the steering column. This service will be performed free of charge (parts and labor)".
I find Ford Motors to be very dishonest and they don't care about their customers safety. They obviously knew of the faulty parts in my vehicle, hence the Recall Letter I received. I did take it in to the dealership when I received that notice. Again at the time of the Recall my vehicle was fine, a little over a year and a half later I end up with the exact issue of that Recall. I feel Ford Motors Company should cover these charges and reimburse me. I have also emailed Ford Motors and received the same response "No" that the Recall has expired, and after the first 12,000 the warranty is no good. They should cover these parts.

The readout giving average economy between resets/tanks is 10% off all the time. It seems to be very accurate, just always off by that amount. Online forums show this applies to multiple engines/tanks sizes. The actual economy is not the issue, it's what I would expect.

Purchased 2014 Ford Fiesta new in May 2014. Automatic Transmission started slipping within 5 months. Car was shaking and shuddering in traffic jam in San Francisco. Feels like I'm a kid trying to learn how to use a manual transmission. Took it in 4 times (about every 6 months) and each time the dealer "reprogrammed" the computer that controls the clutch. Runs ok for a while, then starts acting up again.
Yesterday the dealer verified that the clutch was slipping after reprogramming and that clutch must be replaced. The car doesn't even have 36,000 miles on it. Of course the parts to repair the car on back-order for at least 4 months. And the real kicker. I'm moving 500 miles south next week. The dealer told me that if I take the Fiesta into another dealership, they will not honor the diagnosis to replace the clutch until they make their own evaluation. What a total disappointment in Ford. I purchased new Fords in 1982, 1988, 1992, 1999, 2003, 2005, and 2014. NEVER again. No more Fix or Repair daily for me.

WARNING: DO NOT PURCHASE A FORD!!! They do not back their product even when they have a known issue. Most $$$ car I have ever bought, 30K, only 2013, 50,000 miles now and sunroof won't even close. Car in service center before for running slow and same issue. Now needs a complete frame replacement?!?!?? Of course not in warranty or even the extended warranty I PURCHASED. Want me to pay $2600 to replace frame. I have not bent the frame or had a wreck! Garage kept car. It's obviously defective Ford part. I guess I will use an umbrella to keep the weather from my 3-week old.
WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD OR AMERICAN MADE POS! Had 1 Toyota, 2 Nissans and 2 Hyundais and had NO problems. Paid much less, much older and got 200,000 plus miles on them. Only get the run around when you call customer care. Service manager gives you the number but customer care says manager has final say. Manager goes out of town before discussing decision with you. When you make original call, everything is always "we can't look at it for at least one week", 'til you ask to talk to manager then it changes like magic. Sure I will drive around with sunroof open for a week until you can even look at it.

2015 MKZ Hybrid - While I like the style and comfort of the car, the mileage promised has been false and misleading. First, note that one of the first things I was told by the salesman at my local Lincoln dealership was that Lincoln had been under fire for giving out incorrect mileage statistics, but now all was in order and the mileage estimates were accurate, if not understated. This was reassuring since I had been misled in the past and found actual mileage rates to be only about 75% of the mileage rates claimed. This new hybrid MKZ promised I would get 41 MPG in the city and 39 MPG on the highway. I questioned the salesman who told me that those numbers were accurate.
After agreeing to a purchase price I was moved along to the finance guy to handle my lease processing. I asked him the same question and received an almost identical response. He added that many of his customers actually do better than the stated mileage. I was happy. After picking up the car and driving it about 1000 miles I saw that the MPG calculator on the dash for individual and cumulative mileage both were telling me that I was averaging about 36 MPG. I went back to the dealership questioning why the mileage was so low. I was told by the service representative that it was far too early to get an accurate reading of mileage. I needed to wait until the car reached about 3000 miles. When I reached 3000 miles, I still was averaging (according to the mileage reader) about 36 MPG.
I spoke to another service representative that told me that the car needed to have 5000 miles on it before I would get an accurate reading on the dashboard calculator. When I went in for my 5000 mileage service call, my dashboard calculator still showed I was getting individual mileage rates per trip, per tank, and cumulatively of about 36 MPG. Now a new service representative told me that I should never rely on the dashboard calculator because it is so inaccurate. Instead, I should check my mileage the old fashioned way... and then I would see I was getting 39 to 41MPG as promised.
The old fashioned way is to fill the tank to the very brim with each fill up and divide the mileage driven by the gallons replaced with each tankful of gas I used. I did this... filling the tank to the very brim each time, to the point where it would spill out if I added any more. And guess what? He was right. The dashboard MPG calculator was incorrect. However, not the way he thought. I have now done this test approximately 20 times. My actual mileage ranged between 31 MPG and 35 MPG... FAR, FAR LESS than the mileage I was promised. This deception is unacceptable. I paid and continue to pay a great deal of money for a car that has been misrepresented to the public as getting mileage much, much higher than it actually gets.
I have been driving 45 years and know how to drive properly. I do not have a heavy foot on the gas, know when to brake, and know when the car's idle will get me to my destination without stomping on the gas, only to screech to a halt 50 feet later. I also have studied how to efficiently drive a hybrid. The mileage on this car is horrendous and Lincoln/Ford needs to be held accountable for their misstatements.

My van was due a recall for an oil pump, phone them up to get it booked in last week, got booked for the Thursday then they phoned on the Wednesday to say your courtesy van was not available! So booked in for today Friday, again phoned up to say the courtesy van I booked was not available again!! Then she said that the oil pump recall was done on my van last October! Which is all lies, I should know it's my van! So what in today to complain and they showed me an invoice with my name, company name, my reg, all my details on, saying that it had been done! I said this is absolutely unbelievable that they have charged head office for work that states had been done on my van which is not true, this is fraud!! And using my van my details to commit this! And I have recorded it all on my iPhone! Head office will be getting nasty phone from my on Tuesday when reopen. BEWARE NEVER USE FORD SERVICE CENTRE.
