I quit going to Firestone on Shipyard Blvd in Wilmington for oil changes after 2 issues in a row of where my car ran completely out of oil because of their failure to properly secure the oil drain screw so all my new oil leaked out. Even given that I stopped by there today because I had been grocery shopping and on my way home someone in traffic flagged me to get my attention to tell me that my back tire was going flat. The nearest place was Firestone. I stopped in there and explained I needed someone to check my tire as it was going flat and that I had a car full of groceries and I lived in Leland which is about 20 miles away. All the man said was, "Well I hope you have time because it's going to be a long wait because we have people with appointments that we are working on." I asked how long of a wait and he said he couldn't tell me. He then said he could have someone put air in the tire so I could get home. I said fine.

Just from where I was parked and then driving it to the last stall where the air pump was my tire was even flatter than before. I was scared I wouldn't even make it home! The person who put air in the tire at least took the time to feel around the tire but said he didn't feel anything. He checked it before and after putting air in the tire. Luckily I did make it home to unload my groceries and then headed out to a local auto shop to have my tire looked at. This is a Saturday and after 1:00 so everyone was closed. I have no idea now if my tire will stay inflated enough to get it somewhere else to be looked at. I can't believe Firestone couldn't take 5 minutes to check my tire to see if I have a screw or nail in it and then another 5 minutes to plug it. I will never take my car there again because they will let you down and aren't there for you even in an emergency.

I drove into Firestone - Fairview and proceeded to check in my car for a "simple puncture/nail in tire." After waiting for an hour and reading "the reviews" to pass the time, I was given the classic. Tech: "YOUR TIRE WAS BEYOND REPAIR!" Me: EXCUSE ME? Tech: "You need a new tire and the TOTAL COST IS $400" Me: "PUT IT BACK ON THE CAR JUST AS IT IS!"

It was at this point that I informed the [so called] tech, that "I worked at a tire shop for over a year and I know the tricks, so don't insult my intelligence!" The [simple and effective] solution to fix a simple puncture or slow leak: Identify the object and extract it. Plug and shave plug for seamless bond with tire. Apply adhesive and patch to hole. Fill with air and drive. This cost $15 at the most, so how did the unscrupulous tech arrive at $400. I pity the women who have to endure this! Firestone needs to go into bankruptcy via the boycott route and then, MAYBE they would start doing the right thing.

Went to the Washington Pa store for inspection. I sit and see the tech get my car... then see him drive out the mall parking lot... then suddenly he drives back... faster than I expect any tech drive a customer's car back to the garage. Then the guy behind the counter comes in and said... "You need tires." I say, "No I don't." Car had a oil change last weekend and the dealership checked those tires and they are fine. Well we won't pass inspection. I let him know to put my car back together and I will go elsewhere cause There is nothing wrong with tires... tires on the car are 1 year old I have the receipt to prove it.

My car comes out of garage and they put the emissions sticker on it even though I didn't want it... wanted it all done elsewhere so that was a waste of money. Then I look at the paper they tried to con me on getting tires... 277.00?? For 2 tires? And 2 recycle fees that make no sense... when I can go to a local tire shop and get 2 new tires half that price and they last. BEWARE if you're a woman that goes here. Lady in waiting room said same thing... Firestone has went downhill and she was only there cause she got free rotation on her tires and was afraid to see what they are gonna try to con her with... of course as I was leaving they tried to con her into inspection... she politely declined.

They can't do the oil change, I said, “No way, you overcharged me for a brake job and there has been no damage to the underside of the car”, I took the car to Mr. Tire and they said it was an improperly tightened oil drain plug. Again the last person to touch that oil drain plug was a Firestone Auto Care employee, they ruined my oil plug, I want satisfaction!

Assuming my car would be fixed, I ok'd the work. I get a call a couple of hours later to let me know that what they were doing would not fix the OD light flashing and that needed a transmission guy to fix. This would have been great to know before they started doing the work because I would have had the trans looked at first to see if the car was worth fixing. It’s been three months and hasn’t fixed yet. Next I dropped off my Buick Enclave yesterday had an appt called today and female said not done. This was at noon. She said an hr and half be done. Well gave them three hours went to pick up she said, "Let me check." Well not done but she said at least they are working on it. Between myself and my father who I urged to use Firestone and over last ten years have spent well over 10k with you. I am beyond upset and demand a remedy. 1475 Upper Valley Pike Springfield Ohio.

He checked the front tires and he stated they didn't need any air. He checked the right back tire and start putting air in the back tire. He said the air is just coming out and then he notice a rock in between the tire. He told me he will have to patch it up so I left my car to go back to work because another customer was in front of me. I received a call stating he was unable to patch it so he stated I needed a new tire. I truly feel they took advantage of me because I left my car and that I was a woman. We visited this location on the beginning of January to have a fuel pump replaced and the first mistake they made was telling us the car would be ready the same day which was Friday. Went there and it was not ready. Said it would be ready Saturday morning. Saturday came and they proceeded to tell us that it would be Sunday, Sunday came the tech was not in. They had the vehicle 3 days running diagnostics just to tell us that the fuel pump went out, which is what we already told them day one. Second they charged us $500 for a $300 dollar part. The total came out to being $1100 and they originally said $800, wasn't gone 2 hours and the check light came on. The next day took it up there and waited 2 to 3 hours for them to tell us to take it to the dealership for an issue pertaining to the fuel pump they just replace. After that I have called trying to speak with someone in corporate for 3 weeks and no one still has not contacted me.

I have been coming to Firestone for over 15 years. Recently I moved to Aurora, Colorado and I have had the worst service at 2 of the stores here. I had brakes done about a year ago and after that I never stopped having brake issues. I brought my car in for squeaking brakes and noises and I always got excuses. I paid for pads back in August and then when I brought it back in October I was told I needed calibers, rotors, pads and it was over 1000 dollars. I had a warranty but they refused to honor because they have me as a fleet driver for Uber even though I have a teaching contract for the last 5 years. I took my car to Dodge and needed the pads and rotors resurfaced and for 800 and I have had no more problems with my car. I am done with Firestone. I get promised the managers and owners will follow up and they do not. I have been treated unfairly and workers have been disrespectful.

Lifetime free alignment - Every time I go on to Firestone and request my free alignment it is always denied based on work that is needed for my vehicle. I recently purchase four brand new tires from Goodyear. Goodyear recommended replacing brakes soon. I take my vehicle to my personal local mechanic and he replaces both back brake pads and the passenger front caliper. I take my car to Firestone for free alignment. Now there are no issues with my vehicle. Yet Firestone tells me the passenger front outer tie rod is extremely loose and needs replaced for $173 and they cannot perform the alignment. HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!

I drive my car home. Later I get in my car to go out to dinner to a restaurant that is literally 3 blocks away. As I am backing into the parking space my steering wheel begins to stick. And it scares me. Well the Firestone guy told me you need to get this fixed because your steering wheel will lock and your tire can fly off. I had never had that issue until I left Firestone in Reynoldsburg location in Columbus, Ohio on January 24th 2018, 2pm appointment.

I am livid because nothing was wrong with that outer tie rod because my mechanic and Goodyear would have brought it to my attention to have it replaced. I just read another complaint posted on this here site where a gentleman had the same issue February 8th 2018. He was told that his tie rod was loose. If you don't want to honor the free alignment just tell me and I will go elsewhere. But do not rig my vehicle to cause an accident that could kill myself or someone else. I am kicking myself because I usually stand and watch my vehicle is being repaired and failed to do so especially with Firestone. Crazy thing that I just realized! Last time I went in for an alignment it was refused because I needed a driver side inner tie rod.

I'm writing for an update on my experience from the Firestone on Wallisville Houston, TX 1/25/2018 until this morning 2/1/2018 with me picking up my CAR!!! I recently wrote about my frustration with Firestone and why my throttle sensor light kept coming on even after I paid to get it fixed. Firestone took my car to the dealership and found out I had a hair crack in the intake manifold that Firestone didn't notice, I also had a recall on some things too. The dealership took care of the recall and Firestone took care of the rest. I'm so appreciative of John and Robert for helping me and keeping me in the loop the whole time. They were very compassionate about my feelings of being frustrated and I would like to thank them both. AND I didn't have to pay any more money so thank you Firestone for everything!!!

    Original Review: Jan. 25, 2018

I'm writing from Houston, Tx with the issue from the Wallisville Rd location. I brought my car to Firestone to check on a light that was coming on the throttle body control warning indicators. Left my car to get diagnostic so they can tell me what was wrong. They told me a needed to fix the Emission system which was 441.98 and also the Engine sensors which was 483.69, which I did both on 1/4/2018. On 1/12/2018 I had to take my car back and miss work because the sensor came on again when I started the car for that morning. Then the mechanic's told me that it was the same sensor but different code... So now it was a high airflow vacuum leak detected.

I didn't pay for the labor but I had to pay for the part. Now they said it should be fine right... wrong. On the 1/16/2018 that light is still coming on and my issue is if they couldn't have fix it, someone just should have told me that and I would have took it to the dealership. Now I feel like I have to go back to the same Firestone because of me giving money to get this problem resolve and yes if I take it someone else then I'm still spending more money... So today 1/25/2018 I have to leave work early and use my time to try and still get my car fix. And this morning when the same light came on now with the engine sensor also, I had to shut my car off wait 15 minutes then turn it back on so the light can go away and I can drive. At this point I just don't know what to do and have lost faith in ever during business with Firestone again.

Do they think I’m some kind of an IDIOT? When I spoke to the girl out front, I could not believe what I was hearing, I said I was going to check around, AFTER TALKING TO 4 GM MECHANICS they said they never of such a thing, so I went in personally and talked to Ed and asked him about this report of this fuel pump needing “programmed” and ED ACTUALLY STOOD BY HIS FAKE Mechanic, and they still ripped me off for this so called diagnosis for 56.70 and would not release my truck until the 56.70 was paid.

Ed said they were going to “CUT THEIR LOSS” but I was the one getting ripped off and gave them 56.70, and I could just imagine how much I would of gotten ripped off if I went for the bait. STAY AWAY FROM THE ALTOONA PA FIRESTONE, so now every time I take parts out to them I’m going to wonder who’s getting ripped off today, so the DELPHI FUEL PUMP WILL COST ME 303.00. To have REAL garage install it will cost 200.00 and I got ** out of 56.70 from FIRESTONE. The total will cost 556.00.

I brought my car to Firestone in Selden, NY. My car went in with no problems and came out with a leak from the power steering system. Air had become trapped within the power steering system due to a change of the reservoir and so I made the decision to bring it to Firestone. When I picked my car up that day, the store manager had given me the keys and told me that he had gotten the air out of the line by bleeding it. So I went on my merry way. However after that visit my car was leaking fluid from the bottom. I did not know where the leak was coming from, and assumed it was from the engine and ignored it, barely driving the car, due to being nervous of the costly repairs. However I started to noticed my powering steering fluid was always needing to be refilled quite often. As it would go below where the fluid level needed to be.

Eventually concerned that this fluid was indeed power steering I brought it back to Firestone in Coram, a different location due to the Selden location being busy with only one mechanic on the schedule. I was told by Firestone in Coram that the hose was leaking and it looks as if it was ripped in 2 places. The mechanic told me that he would give me a call back to find out exactly what they did to the car. And then called me back to say that the line was ripped in 2 places and it could have been because they were trying to remove it to bleed the line. He then told me that the service manager at the selden location would take care of the problem and directed me to call the Selden location, that the manager would be awaiting my call and would fix the problem. I made an appointment and they looked over the car.

The Selden location is now saying that they did not touch the car or do work on the car, all they did was turn the steering wheel back and forth so that all the air could come through the reservoir! First off, that is not the process of getting air trapped with the system out. The line indeed needs to be bled, closed back up and then the system refilled! They are refusing to fix the car unless I pay the fee which is around $500 FOR the parts not including the hours of labor which is extremely expensive! I believe one of their mechanics made a mistake and got scared and they allowed me to go home with this problem. My car never had an issue until they touched it! This location is trying to take advantage of me because I am a woman! They assume I know nothing and therefore what they have done will not be discovered.

If I have to go to the police and file fraud charges along with publicizing this matter in the local news and throughout social media, I WILL! All calls were recorded both with Selden location and Coram location and also with the supervisor of customer service. This matter will be resolved, and I am willing to be the example of why mechanics should not take advantage of women and make assumptions.

Updated on 01/16/2018: Hello this is a continuation of my case. I did not receive any resolution, so I wanted to give my experience to help others make a decision of where they want to bring their car for service needs! Also I will be posting on any and every blog/Google/media account, along with a video on YouTube! Please feel free to like comment and share that video. It will be titled "Fraud with Firestone". This video will go up soon after my case is closed so that I can give a full explanation in detail of what happened to me as a woman! And as a vulnerable person whom knows very little about cars! I want to help others avoid these types of stressful and traumatic experiences with bad auto servicing companies. Please go to my first review in order to read what exactly happened! If you have already read the first review this is the outcome or continuation. (I will continue to give updates.)

I have escalated my case, and this has resulted in the supervisor of Customer Affairs contacting the district manager to get involved. The district manager was extremely insensitive and did not help at all. He called me and I explained my situation telling him that I had recorded calls and documents that I could give. He responded that he did not need any of it, only the recording of the Firestone Representatives at another location telling me that they had spoken to the Selden location and Selden had bled my line and it looks like while they were trying to get the line off, it had ripped in two spots right where you take it off! He asked me to send that only! I asked if he would like any other documents and if he could speak with the other Firestone location and he dismissed me. So right away I sent the RECORDINGS.

As soon as I had sent the recording at 3:47 pm, I got a call at 3:50 pm from the manager Bill at the Selden location telling me that he had spoke to the district manager and he will not be helping me, so I need to pick up my car from their location. This indeed means that the district manager never even bothered to open my email first and listen and then investigate! Speaking to the store manager Bill, it sounded as if he knew The district manager well so he decided to just take Bill's word instead of looking into it. Bill mentioned something that bothered me! He said to me that the investigation is closed so I could come get my car. I told him no, that the district manager will have to talk to the other location, and Bill stated that the district manager was going to deal with them, but that it had nothing to do with me or my case. I have no idea what he meant by that!

So I responded that I hope that I am not getting anyone in trouble for being an honest mechanic and not hiding the fact that your location made a mistake! After getting off the phone I went to pick up my car and Gabe was at the front desk, while Bill was in the back working. I smiled and as always said hello. However, I believe they have become annoyed of me so I am never greeted. With a smirk on his face he went and got my keys and gave them to me. I asked if I had any documents to sign and he pretended to look in the computer and said no. I responded with "Okay have a great night" and he got quiet and turned away, so I walked out. I started my engine to warm up my car, as I witnessed Gabe walk to the back where Bill was working.

With nothing but glass as walls for the workstation, I witnessed Gabe wave the folder at Bill that my keys were in with my document. He then waved his hand in a 'goodbye fashion' and both Bill and Gabe started to laugh hysterically, exchanging words and walking back to their workstation. I bursted out in tears, because this was extremely immature and was done only to mock me! I could not believe that they were making a mockery out of my situation. I understand that I gave them a hard time and would not give up trying to make them fix their mistake. However, I completely remained kind, understanding, and professional all throughout this ordeal.

After, I escalated my case to corporate whom hopefully will contact me! I'm praying that the person who contacts me is a good person and has GOD in their life. It seems as if Firestone Representative are all a bunch of Crooks and Liars! This whole situation is extremely exhausting, but I will continue to move forward! If I do not receive help from Firestone I will go to the media and police. I just want to give Firestone a fair chance at fixing their mistake, in hopes that not all of their representatives are like the ones I have already encountered.

Do NOT trust Firestone at all. I purchased the lifetime wheel alignment warranty and every time I bring my car in for a wheel alignment they try to sell me parts that I don't need. One time I went and Firestone said I need a Front lower control arm. They said the bolts were frozen. Naturally I take my car to MY mechanic and show him the paperwork. He puts my car on the lift and shows me that the nuts were NOT frozen. Now I take my car back to Firestone and tell them what my mechanic said. Their response? The guy working on my car is a weakling 100 percent true. So they did the alignment.

Next time I send my wife with my car. They told her I did not have a warranty and sons her another warranty. So I go back with my receipt and again they said sorry. They made a mistake. Now 1 year later I go back for a wheel alignment. They have the car for 2 hours and tell me that my tier rods or frozen and I need new ones. Again I take the car to my mechanic with the paperwork and he loosened up the tie rods with no problem at all. That's it I am no longer using Firestone.

Firestone store # 010944. My van's check engine light was on for a P0420 and it didn't pass emissions and I was given a list of State Approved Emissions Repair shops and Firestone was on that list. We had been going to this particular store for years so we took my van there (8/29/16 @ 8:29am). I had to leave my van there and by the end of the day I called for a status update on my van. I was told that they ordered the wrong part and had to reorder it but they would help me with a rental car in the time being since they had an account with Enterprise (I had to come out of pocket $80). The next day I brought the rental back to Enterprise and picked up my van from Firestone after paying $1,426.74.

In September of 2017 the check engine light came on AGAIN for the same P0420. I called Firestone and explained that I JUST had all this fixed in August of 2016. He checked my account and said, "the P0420 could be ANYTHING, catalytic converter, O2 sensor". We'd have to do a courtesy check to find out but our person who specializes in that quit 2 weeks ago. You'd have to go to another Firestone and have them inspect it". I asked him if I would be charged for the inspection and he said, "Yes because the warranty expired in August of 2017". So I asked him, "Do you mean that the quality of your work is only good for one year and I'll have to pay close to $1,500 every year for my car to pass inspection?" His response was, "Ma'am we don't make the parts, we just install them. If there's something wrong with the parts we installed, we can replace them but we'll have to charge you for the labor ($600+).

I asked him why I have to pay for the labor when you installed all the bad parts? You guaranteed your work for a year and now I have to come out of pocket to pay for YOUR error. His response, "Like I said ma'am, we don't make the parts". I got mad and hurried him off the phone. I let my car sit for a while then called them again in December 2017 and he recited the exact same thing he told me in September. He DID mention that the parts installed were under a 5 year warranty so after getting no where with Auburn Firestone I called Firestone in Kent, store #028800. I explained to Randy what happened, he pulled everything up in the computer and told me to bring my van in. He said he couldn't promise it would be looked at right away because they have a back log of cars to work on.

I got a call later that day informing me that ALL the parts that Auburn Firestone installed on my van were ALL defective and needed to be replaced. I asked him how much that was going to cost and to my surprise he said, "Ma'am, we can't charge you for Firestone ordering and using faulty/defective parts. I have to call Auburn Firestone tomorrow and find out where they ordered their parts from. It'll be a few days but we will surely get this taken care of and we will NOT charge you for labor. These parts should have lasted for quite some time, not only 1 year". And he kept apologizing for what the Auburn Firestone did (or didn't do). Looking at the two invoices from each Firestone, it's a shame to see the Kent Firestone invoice # ** reading "REMOVE AND REPLACE O2 SENSOR, CATALYTIC CONVERTER, CONVERTER ULTRA - NEW DEFECTIVE (PART).

I will NEVER go back to the Firestone in Auburn, WA. I gave them a bad review on their website and I will be telling anybody and everybody who will listen that they are crooks. I mean REALLY, you use all DEFECTIVE parts and then you want to charge your customers for labor to REPLACE the garbage you installed initially - what a SCAM!!! I see why their inspection tech quit right before Christmas (he probably grew a conscience).

My girlfriend needed to have the air in her tires checked, one was low. She went into the Firestone at 701 W Broadway in Council Bluffs Ia. on 1-4-18. It's just across the street from her work and has been there in the past for oil changes and other things. She was told by the manager that this was a self service thing and that the hose was outside the back door. It was 10 degrees outside and my girlfriend had a problem with the hose so she returned to the counter for help. At that time the manager got very rude with her and told my girlfriend that she said she would be out to help and she shouldn't be so impatient.

Initially the manager never offered to help or did she show up to help. My girlfriend told the manager that she wanted to complain about this treatment and would like to have corporate's phone number. At this time my girlfriend was told by ** (manager) that girlfriend needed to get the number off the internet and that she needed to leave the store and never come back. Is this how customers are treated by Firestone?

After hearing about this I went to the store and was greeted with a smile until I asked for corporates phone number. The manager didn't know who I was but immediately her demeanor changed and I was told I would have to get it off the internet. I said "please write the number down or call the police." She called the police and I explained my side of the issue to them. The store manager left the room and didn't come back. I guess in my eyes if the manager felt that she was doing the right thing she would have gladly given us the number. As we were leaving the building I saw a sign in the window with a number. I called and filed a complaint. I get it, at this time we were not buying anything but does that constitute being treated like crap and being asked to leave and never come back? The manager's request is granted, we will never go back. We're going to go to Jensen tires from now on for these things. They're just next door to Firestone.

On December 26, 2017, I visited the Firestone at 2823 S. Glenstone Ave in Springfield MO. I had scheduled an online appointment to replace the rear brakes based on a previous recommendation from Firestone and asked that the front brakes be looked at as well. Over the past few months Firestone has replaced all four tires, rear struts, tie rods, and ball joints on this vehicle. No one had ever mentioned that I needed front brakes. When I checked in my vehicle I was told that Firestone was running a deal on brakes. The gentleman at the counter told me that I would receive $40.00 off per axle unless I could find a better deal. According to the Firestone website they will match any current locally advertised price if you find and show them a lower price on the same within 30 days of purchase.

I agreed to the work and the total to replace front and rear brakes, rotors, and a brake fluid exchange was $848.51. When I picked up my vehicle I showed the gentleman at the counter a coupon from Big O Tires who at the time was running a special on brakes ($249.00 per axle, including, brake pads, new rotors, and installation). I was later asked if anyone agreed to accept the coupon. I'm not sure why that matters since the website states they will match any current locally advertised price if you find and show them a lower price on the same within 30 days of purchase.

After some back and forth I paid the full amount and returned home. I immediately called Firestone customer service to file a complaint. The customer service representative took my information but I didn't get the feeling that I was going to hear back from the area manager based on her comments and tone. I was told to call back if he did not contact me. He didn't so I called back. My complaint has been escalated to the regional manager who was supposed to contact me. I still have not been contacted. I simply want Firestone to honor what they say but I am doubtful that I will hear from anyone. I also responded to the autogenerated feedback survey generated after the service was performed. No one has contacted me from that source either.

I came in to have it reset, saying this car is not fixed, I read on the wall, not fix the 1st time, you get your money back. However, I could not get into my mechanic as he was booked so thought I'd give Firestone (Troy, NY store #165885) another try. The diagnosis was the alternator needed repairing and I was given an estimate of about $536. I waited the 2.5 hours for the repair. When I has handed the bill at the completion of the task, I was billed for 3.3 hours, and the amount I wound up paying was $641, over $100 over what the initial estimate was, When I mentioned that I was billed for labor for more time than I was even there for, I was told that is how it is done.

Why call it billing for labor if it is a pre-fixed amount? I feel misled. The issue with the vehicle was resolved, but I was charged double what my mechanic would have charged, which is why I am particularly irritated with the labor BS. I also notice on the receipt that my electronic signature was place under statements that I did not see on the card reader.

Do not take your vehicle to a Firestone Service Center if you value your money and don't want to end up with more problems. This is the third time I have given them a try for something simple and the third time I have ended up with more problems shortly after they did the "repair". The repair in this case was to fix a slow leak in a tire (one of a set of four that I bought from them). Not even a year ago, I had a similar problem with another of the 4 tires and they informed me that they could not fix the slow leak but I would have to get another tire. That time after I took it there for that, there were various issues that had not shown before.

Prior to taking the vehicle in, everything was fine except for the slow leak in one of the other 3 tires. In fact, not two months ago, I had the truck fully serviced at another shop (not Firestone) including brakes. Needed to get the tire fixed, so decided to give them another try since I bought the tires there. Once again, they said they could not fix the tire and I would have to buy another one. Went ahead and did that. Within literally 5 minutes and a half mile after driving it off their lot, the ABS warning lite, service StabiliTrak light, and StabiliTrak off warning messages all came on. I turned around and took it back and they said there was nothing they did that should have caused it and wanted me to leave it again with them to look at it. I don't know who they think they're kidding.

The fun continues. A few more days after my most recent "service" visit to this shop and another tire has developed a mysterious slow leak. That would make 3 out of 4 tires that I bought from this shop a few years ago. Salesman at the time talked me into buying the Road Hazard plan. Interestingly, each time a new slow leak has developed, it has been within a week or so of a service visit to this shop in Cary, NC. Also interesting is that the two times I took it back to this shop to get them patched, I was told that "the hole was too close to the wall" and they couldn't be patched, so I would have to buy another tire at the amazing discount of only $100 each since I had the road hazard. The one time I took the car to a different place (not Firestone) they were able to patch the tire. Too many bad coincidences each time with Firestone and this store.

Always read before you sign! Firestone however, is the problem. More expensive than a dealer. Shouldn't even be close in that regard. It seems like they take advantage of you on price. Labor is over the suggested labor times but hey, why penalize me for a job you don't know how to do? The thing I love about CFNA, You can use it anywhere that uses a card that is also provided by CFNA. For example, I used my Firestone card at Monroe Muffler here in Cincinnati. So, I have options which makes it easier. I don't think I can ever go to Firestone for anything other than a oil change.

I would like to speak to someone regarding my grandmother and I experience on Saturday, December 09, 2017. My grandmother initially went to Store 5967 to get a front end alignment however she also needed two tires, an oil change and the state inspection. After $556.00 later the service was complete, so we thought. By Monday afternoon, December 11, 2017, the oil light came on, stating that the oil level was low. Therefore, the car would not start, causing a lot of confusion because we needed to be at event in twenty minutes, and the oil level should have not been an issue since the oil change was performed less than two days ago. I checked the oil and there was very little to no oil in the vehicle.

We called Firestone and they had a tow truck come and get the car leaving us without a vehicle and no cause of what happened. No one called to get us a status of the car, which another sign of poor customer service. I did not think Firestone treated their customers like this. As of December 12, 2017 at 7:02 a.m. I called to check the status of the car with no resolve. The gentleman by the name of Camilo ** states, they were short staffed and could not get to the vehicle, understandable, but that still doesn’t provide me with any knowledge or understanding of why my car didn’t start. At this point, I’m missing work because my vehicle is still not working. I’m frustrated because this is a disservice and this is unacceptable.

I will not be taking my vehicle back to Firestone ever due to the negligence of the technician, which could cause long term damage due to no oil whatsoever being in my vehicle. The employees at Firestone are not being accountable of their lack of detail by not providing the oil and I would like someone to rectify this issue as well as refunding my money for the oil change as well as taking a percentage of the total cost of the service that was provided on December 09, 2017 due to me losing money by not having my vehicle.

I then ask about needing a new rack and pinion system for another 1200. JOE the head tech tells me, "No you don't" and Firestone installed to wrong arm. After contacting manager about parts and cost, I am told, "You needed those parts." As far as the recall he said that's my responsibility to know. Well it was such an easy fix. Brought my '06 Explorer back to the Firestone on Kingsland Dr in West Chester Ohio to discover all 5 lugs on one tire were loose. WOW... Glad I was not on the highway. This is the 4th time lugs have been loose on 3 different cars over the past 1-2 years at the same Firestone. After arguing with the store manager James ** for about 30 min trying to get him to recognize that it could have been the technician error, he insisted it was not the service tech error but due to issues with my car (worn threads, bent spindle, maybe someone tried to steal the tire).

REALLY!!! First of all, all 5 lugs on 1 tire would not become that loose in 105 miles of neighborhood driving. Secondly this was the 4th time this has happened on 3 cars in the past couple years. If he is really that dug in that it was not due to his service techs, I am really concerned about him not taking action to correct the problems in the shop and the future potential danger with future tire rotations. I do not want my tires to fall off. Firestone, you just lost a 20 year customer.

I called around 2:00 to see if maybe they finished early but was told it might be ready around 4:30. Around 4:00 I received a call stating that the sleeves connecting the tie rods were frozen and they couldn't align it. They stated I needed to replace all tie rod ends and sleeves costing $ 280 dollars. I told them that I would replace everything myself and return it for an alignment. I picked my van up and returned home upon arriving home. I grabbed some tools and proceeded to inspect the tie rods and sleeves of which there was ABSOLUTELY nothing frozen.

I then called Firestone back to make sure I didn't misunderstand what they had said the problem was and lo and behold they now tell me that the nuts on the sleeves were stripped (rounded) out (they tried both a wrench and a socket). I used both a socket and a wrench to loosen the nuts with no problem and the sleeves turned with ease... I believe they were trying to make money off of me because the alignment was free. If I wasn't someone familiar with vehicle repairs (shade tree mechanic) I would of told them to go ahead and fix it costing me around 300 dollars of which nothing needed to be replaced... I am completely dissatisfied and believe someone needs to be fired. I would NOT recommend Firestone to anybody unless of course you don't mind paying for repairs that are not needed... Nail still in the same place AND tire still in the same location. Repair was made, nor was the tire rotation but they happily accepted $168 to do. Same day, they had another tech repair the tire and upon our inspection noted tread coming off the tires - something they'd notice if they did their job the 1st time. Opted to replace all 4 tires and from them (against our better judgment).

Tires installed 11/17/17 before going out of town. Called and told them the car was shaking all over the place. Responses? "Well don't know what that could be" or "sorry to hear that". I asked if they balanced them... "of course, we always do that". They could care less about our safety when they knew we were headed out of town. They don't do what they say they'll do and if you pay them for something; double check before leaving yourself to make sure they're not ripping you off.

We had to leave it as is and got as far as Spartanburg having to stop at Firestone (Blackstock). Explained the situation. They said whoever did the work in Charleston didn't know what they were doing... ALL tires were seriously out of balance; one over 3.5 oz off. They properly balanced the tires and the remainder of our trip rode smoothly. Thankful, not all Firestones have con artists working for them. Turns out the belt wasn't on tightly at all and the person who replaced it was just negligent to paraphrase the person who tightened it for me. That was like $50 down the drain for no reason. Well I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but I should have just never gone back.

Second story, a year later. I am at the same Firestone, my blower motor for my cabin fan is not working. I go to them again for convenience. They charge me $100 for diagnostics, they come back and tell me the blower motor is bad, thanks genius, and quote me $400 for the repair. So I say no thank you because I know that is way overpriced and I go find someone else. I get the blower motor replaced and the problem comes back in a couple days (sounding similar?). I had the bad luck that when I got the motor replaced for whatever reason it was running again so the mechanics who replaced it had no way of knowing if it was fixed or not. Well turns out the thing that was bad was the transistor.

Firestone had diagnosed BOTH the transistor and blower motor as bad (sounds absurd because when the transistor fails the blower motor CANNOT get hurt, this is literally the job of the transistor) and this is why I got quoted an absurd price. Why they didn't say that in the first place is beyond me, but I am still almost 100% certain only the transistor was bad because if you look up this specific problem online for this make and model, almost every forum result you can find will tell you that its the transistor AND the mechanic who fixed it told me this specific transistor is used in many cars and always has problems. I should have just bought a ohmmeter and checked it myself. Lesson learned. GO WITH MOM AND POP SHOPS EVERY TIME.

Warning to my fellow roofers. Firestone don't care if you have a problem. I am a roofing contractor for 30 years. We install Firestone EPDM roofs. We never had a problem before. We notice Firestone EPDM rolls are not what they were before. Come with holes and wrinkles. Hard to remove on 100x20 ft rolls. We were working on a roof last week. We opened up a 20x50 Firestone roll. There was a hole in roll large all so it had a seem where they join each roll at plant. There was 10x20 EPDM had bad rubber. It looked like it was 20 years old. It looked like a old tire left out in the sun for years.

I called the dealer. They told me to call the Firestone rep. I called him, waited 5 hours, no callback. I had left a message on his cell phone saying he needs to look at this roof EPDM. Never got a callback. My men were just waiting. I got upset that the Firestone REP did not even call me back. Then I sent him a text letting him know how I was disappointed with Firestone. He called me 7 hours later and he yelled at me and said ** many times over and told me it's not his problem and told me to call my dealer. So what can my dealer do? They did not make it so I can not blame my dealer. I got 5 rolls Firestone on my job. All had holes in them. I have photos and tag numbers to prove it. I am so disappointed in Firestone. I guess we are just not important to this joint company.

I wish I could give this Firestone on 7240 N Mesa El Paso, TX 79912 ZERO stars! I took my car to get the brakes checked, and had the rear brakes replaced. When I got my car back, the brakes felt worse than before. I made an appointment to have them checked again, and when I got there and told them the problem, I was told that I had to wait even though I had an appointment. They made a mistake the first time, so my car should have been a priority! I had no time to waste so I left. My sibling, who is a highly trained and certified automotive technician looked at my car and this is what was discovered. The rear brakes that were replaced was not properly cut or adjusted, so essentially it was like my car had not rear brakes. The front brakes that were inspected were not resealed properly and were left with loose screws, so those could have easily failed leaving me with not brakes! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!

Had my daughter go into the Firestone car center in Chicago recently and was appalled by what your car care center was trying to pull off. She went in to check to see if she needed an alignment, they asked why she thought she needed an alignment and she told them the car shakes when going over 70mph. They told her that her front tires were badly worn and she needed to buy two new tires. She lets me know I tell her that could not be as I have the tires rotated every other oil change and if the front tires were bad then the back tires would be just as worn.

Not being in Chicago to verify this I tell her to go ahead with the tires even though I know they are lying. Then they get it up on the lift and then tell her that there is another issue. They tell her that the front tie rods need to be repaired and both upper arms and left ball bearing. The rep gives her a quote of almost 1800.00 which included the 218.00 for the two tires. Being I have had bad experiences with Firestone in the past and was very skeptical about my daughter going there again, I ask her to send me the quote just to see why it was so much money. This particular car center was double charging my daughter for the parts and charging labor charges above and beyond .

Really, is this how Firestone operates their car care centers. I will never go to another Firestone car care center again. I now will be flying to Chicago to get the car and bring it back to Ohio to fix it for approx. 218.00 total for the upper arms, tie rods and bearings and have the tires checked for wear. I just hope that while they had it up on the lift they didn't do anything that my daughter to get into an accident while on the freeway or just driving.

We were traveling out of state. The air compressor went out and broke the belt. The technician explained that we could have the full system completely replaced, but that would be nearly $1,000. He said he could just replace the compressor and the belt and we could safely return home and have the remainder of the have the A/C up and running later. He stated that he couldn't guarantee the A/C would work since they didn't connect it. In no way under no circumstances did he imply or insinuate that by driving the car home without the compressor recharged with freon and connected would in any way be a concern. Additionally, there was originally a stud on the compressor that they replaced with the WRONG size and type or bolt.

When I bought it to my mechanic the bolt flew off and caused a piece of the compressor to break off when he was charging the Freon. I called Firestone. The manager, Crystal, was rude, abrupt, condescending and blamed me for driving the car with the A/C "dry" and that I should have known that if they didn't complete the extra several hundred dollar job it would cause damage. She denied any connection to not properly replacing the stud with an appropriate bolt. Instead she stated, "it was just to hold the lines in place". The bolt was WAY too short and held on by only one or two threads... But, somehow it's MY fault that when my mechanic tried to charge the system the bolt blew off and damaged the compressor...!!!

All Firestone did was pull the old compressor, put a new one in but didn't do anything else to it, and put a belt on. For THAT they charged $648 and now I have to start from scratch with a new compressor and everything. I owned a 2000 Malibu, which I bought new. Aside from a few oil changes from fast lube stores, the Malibu was cared for entirely by Firestone, mostly in Springfield, Mass, and Norwich, Ct. There were other Firestone stores up and down the East Coast from Florida to Mass - they were all good to great. They are electronically interconnected and were able to bring up my car's history no matter where I was. It's not that I had all good experiences with Firestone during the seventeen years that I drove my car, which was recently totaled during a hit and run, it's that any less than good experiences, and there were only two, were quickly resolved to my satisfaction.

Today I called Firestone to make an appointment for a diagnostic on a used (one owner) car that I'm thinking about buying. The gentleman who answered the phone, Chuck, was genuinely disappointed to hear that the Malibu had been totaled. That car meant a lot to me and Chuck validated my feelings. That is what I'm talking about. Firestone recognizes and respects the human investment, the physical and the emotional. When the Malibu was totaled, it was in perfect condition. Firestone will always care for my cars.

But when I picked up my car, they told me I needed new fuel lines. The technician and mechanic both swore they smelled fuel in my car. That was a lie, because I never smelled any fuel at all. But they tried to push the fuel line repairs onto my bill, which would have been around $300.00 to $400.00 dollars. I let them know I could not afford that and that my fuel lines were fine. So I only paid for my discounted oil change. But now, my brakes are making a knocking sound. Also sounds like something is loose under the hood of my car. There was nothing wrong with my brakes, nor did I have any knocking sounds from them or under my hood. So Firestone messed up my brakes with whatever they did to my car.

I am taking my car to another mechanic so they can fix whatever Firestone did and at an affordable price. Is it Firestone's policy to milk the customers of money? If the customer is there for only one thing just fix that. Pushing unnecessary repairs on customers and intentionally causing more problems to the customer's car is unprofessional, disrespectful, and dangerous. Trust me, I would bring my car back to get my brakes fixed, but something else might need "conveniently" repaired and at an unaffordable price.

Firestone Complete Auto Care 3650 N Elston Ave, Chicago, IL. My experience with Firestone has been less than satisfying. They repaired my brakes, but did not have the proper tools to do the job correctly and were not going to tell me what they had done. When I went in to pick up my car, the sales rep, whom I thought was a mechanic because he was dressed like one, told me that my car was ready to go. I asked if I could take a look at the work before I signed off on it. He reluctantly said, “Sure.” I knelt down and looked at the brake line and was surprised to see that it looked nothing like the original configuration. In fact, it looked like a dangerous twisted mess. When I asked him about it, the rep confessed that he was not a mechanic.

So I asked to speak to the real mechanic about this and he explained that they used a brake line that was too long for my car and they could not cut it to fit correctly. Instead of cutting the new brake line to fit my vehicle, they decided to bend it to take up the extra 3 to 4 feet. See the photos for the bends. A brake line shouldn’t look like that. When I asked the mechanic why he had bent the brake line in such strange ways, he explained that he didn’t have the tool he needed to cut the line that was shipped. They had shipped him a brake line that was 3 to 4 feet longer than what my Ford Explorer needed.

It is impossible to understand how this shop did not have a simple tool to cut the brake line so it would fit my car properly. I priced out the tool and I saw it online for less than $35. I was so caught off guard after seeing my brake line bent into balloon-animal-type shapes that I completely forgot to make sure that I had my wheel lock key. The shop claimed that they gave it to me, but I didn’t have it. So, I had to go to another shop to get the wheel locks taken off without the key. That cost additional money. When I saw Firestone’s bill of over $300, I complained about the work and they knocked $25 off and said that was all they could do.

Bottom line: They tried to upsell me on a lot of other parts. For the $300+ I spent, I would have expected more professional work and service. They had finagled the repair and were ready to let me leave the shop without telling me what they had done. To me, this seemed dangerous and wrong. The shop was also not properly equipped to do the job correctly. If you value your safety and peace of mind, don’t use this Firestone shop! I really do hope someone from Firestone is monitoring this because I would really like my car to be repaired properly, or at the very least, receive a refund for the poor pathetic work that was done!

I have been told they will need to inspect the vehicle and let me know what will need to be done. I had informed the cashier that I had the online coupon for $60 off standard brake service. Although I knew there is previous sale $100 for the same service ended last week. I thought it will be somewhat similar pricing and the cashier promised he will take care it.

On about 1 PM, the cashier called back and informed me the front brake pad need to be replaced and the rotor can be resurfaced. The price is $210. At the time the call, I have not remembered the car just replaced the front brake pad about 6 months ago and only the rear brake need to be replaced. I also thought the price after coupon will be $150 and told them to do the work. Since then I have not received any call and not sure when the car will be ready and most import when the shop will be closed.

At 6 pm, I had just realized it may be late to pick up the car. I called the shop multiple times but no one to pick it up. I hurry walked to shop and sure the shop had been closed. I was totally lost and frustrated what was happen to me. I then have to find a ride from my family 30 miles away from the shop to pick me up and go home. On the next day, I had again asked my family to give me a ride to San Mateo to pick up the car. When I told what happen to me to cashier, he simply respond he don't know why I didn't get informed about the car is ready for pick up yesterday.

In order to pick up the car, I had also discovered the price for the brake service is still $210. I asked for the $60 coupon discount but the cashier then responds the price will be added to $270 and then shows the $60 discount. I was very frustrated again what was happening. It is very unfair for consumer like me never have a chance to say NO because I can't review their proposal and discuss why the normal price is almost three time higher than last week. There is never a price list for the standard brake service and the cashier can make up the final price whatever they want. The price $270 to change the brake pad will certainly above the market rate and I won't even walk in the shop for this.

Firestone Complete Auto Care use this marketing practice to misleading the consumers with $60 discount but actually charging the above market rate by without giving them a chance to say NO. I have filed a complaint to California Department of Consumer Affairs Bureau of Automotive Repair and hope they can STOP this happening to someone else again.

I am a college student from out of state, and left my car and keys with instructions to call my father who would be paying for the repairs before beginning work. I arrived to pick up my car Wednesday evening to discover that my father had attempted to pay for my car repairs with his credit card over the phone and the manager, **, would not accept cards via phone.

While I was waiting in the lobby and my father was attempting to find an alternative method of payment, ** proceeded to run my father down to me, calling him rude and asking me for a positive review to offset the negative reviews my father had promised to leave after he blamed my father for the confusion regarding method of payment and refused to help. My father called corporate, who called ** twice while I was in store, and he laughed it off - telling me that corporate knew nothing of store policy anyway and wouldn’t be of any help to us.

He then decided to tell me how much he hates working with people and that after his numerous years in management that talking to people is his least favourite part of his job. The last thing he said to me before leaving the store was “Can I say something and not sound rude?” I told him he would most likely sound rude, but that I would do my best not to judge him. He then proceeded to tell me how my father calling corporate had been stupid - that he didn’t mind getting the call but that my father had wasted my time and made my life more difficult than necessary in doing so.

After everything was finally settled (my father wound up going to a local firestone where we are from - 900 miles away from where I am in school) the manager took my father’s credit card information over the phone anyway - he had simply needed a Firestone employee to verify my father’s I.D. This manager is honest - when he tells you he is not a people person, you should believe him. I understand if companies have policies they need to enforce, but never should a manager run one customer down to another. ** bad-mouthing my father to me when all we were trying to do was pay him was entirely unnecessary and highly unprofessional. I will never again bring my car to this location, and I may refuse to use Firestone as a whole from now on. I want nothing to do with a company that treats its customers this way.

I took my 2002 Volvo in pristine condition every way for alignment in Long Island NY. It had Brand New Firestone tires. They sold me lifetime warranty. I should have known. What they did to my Audi Quattro years ago but I thought they might have become honest. I was wrong. They aligned my car but pulling it off the rack they damaged the right rear arm by not folding the lift pad that picks up car or supports it. I could feel pull on right within first 20 feet and then clearly it was obvious. They said no you are just feeling that. I drove my car to Panama City Florida 32405, stopped and complained at Virginia Firestone but they wanted me to make appointment. When I reached Florida my front tires were wearing out from inner sides and right rear from the outer right thread badly. Firestone in Florida pulled up record then they said get us a print out from another shop. I went to Goodyear and got it.

Then they said they cannot pull up my account when actually they did less than hour ago. I said give me your headquarter number and the guy says he is new. He does not know. So I was very upset. I found on web and wrote the headquarter of Firestone. The reply was "We cannot find your account." When they had a picture copy of NY alignment uploaded to them in email with all info in it. Now I am back in New York while I had to pay and replace 3 tires as they went bald. So this time the manager says "We do not have special tools to align camber or caster." I said "But why the tow ins are incorrect too? Why my car was damaged and I was not told?" He said "It's been too long." I said "I complained about it from the first 5 minutes I got the car back from you people and constantly at every Firestone I passed by."

Firestone people have the aspect of cons. They take in your cars damage it and not even have tools to do the job but they tell you after you find out the facts and complain. It is costing me over $4500 to repair the damages. It has caused me and I cannot even drive the car safely especially in wet weather wet roads.

I cannot believe these people are still in business. They had done the same thing to my other car years ago. They put lives of people in danger and scam them and on top of that they admit finally half of the truth that they do not have special tools. That is a lie because my Volvo or other cars have these nuts at top of the shock that are used to adjust camber caster. But then I had no problems with my car's alignment before. Only after I took it in just to make sure that my car had no alignment issues.

I plan to take these people to court and prove what other shops wrote regarding the alignment and the damages it brought on to the car. These are shameless people at Firestone and they call themselves Americans. They should have a sign saying Scammers instead of Firestone. All this has caused me major problems as I cannot use my car much especially on long trips or even locally in rain.

On May 20th my son took our 1999 Mustang GT into your Firestone location at Durango Dr in Las Vegas with a bad Throw-Out Bearing that any 1st year mechanic could tell in about 1 minute if that long. My son was told it would be no problem and that they recommend replacing the Flywheel, clutch plate, pressure plate and throw-out bearing as a set due to the age and mileage. This is all good practices to follow and was a reasonable request so I approved it for my son to have the work done and charged to our account.

On May 24th my son picked the Mustang up as they said the work was done and had been road tested. Later that evening he called me to discuss concerns that he felt were not correct in the way the car was acting and the clutch “feel”. After we talked he returned the Mustang to the same location explaining what was going on and he was told by the Manager that it was the wrong parts installed and it should not have been done.

At that time the “back pedaling” started and everything went downhill fast. All kinds of excuses started flying including my son being told that the transmission was an aftermarket trans so that was part of the problem. They told him they could not find information on the trans and it would be impossible to get the “right” parts for it. My son went down to the location and showed them the casting info and the “tag” that they missed? This car is completely bone stock from the factory.

Ford had two combinations that year and they are very easy to tell the difference in. Ford use a 6 or 8 bolt crankshaft for the flywheel and the trans was either a 10 or 26 spline input shaft. Both very easy to tell the difference if you passed Kindergarten. Now we get into some very interesting errors and out right lying on the part of the crew at this location. My son was told they could not locate the correct parts for the car and he would have to procure them himself. This is an outright lie as they told him that Summit Auto had the parts and set up an order that he would have to call in and pay for to get it shipped to them. I know for a fact your stores have 3rd party purchasing agreements with vendors just for this reason.

Bottom line my son paid for the clutch and flywheel, was without his car for total of 18 days to do a 2 day maximum job, charged for the wrong parts that were ordered and installed and then replaced with the correct parts that my son had paid for. When I contacted Firestone they passed on this info to the Manager (Pierce) to call me, no call so I called him. He was on his day off, then the next call he was on vacation and seems to be way too busy to call for the last month.

I'm thinking the inspection should have been done prior to the work, at least that what it says on their website. They found all kind of things wrong with my vehicle including leaking struts, wobbly steering etc. things that any other mechanics said should have been fixed prior to the alignment getting down.

I left my truck there from Sunday and picking/towing tomorrow. Some of the workers were not friendly at all (Scott) acted as though I was bothering them. I filed a complaint because if they would have not done the alignment I probably could have saved up the money to get it repaired at a later date. I missed worked, had to catch Ubers to get around. Firestone (Richard) from customer service said it's not their fault. Basically telling a customer so what if they did an alignment without checking the steering and suspensions first, they did not caused the issue. They did say they will send me a check for the alignment and wheel balancing but they caused me 1,000's of dollars. HORRIBLE SERVICE! I am looking into legal matters.

Called ahead to set up appointment to mount and balance tires that I supplied and do front end alignment. I told them on phone it was a crew cab dually three times, each time asking if it would fit on alignment rack. I was told no problem. When I show up I'm told they can't do it... I told them I asked three times when making appointment and they had zero concern... Now I've got new tires on a vehicle that I know is out of alignment, and I have a trip this weekend so I was stuck getting tires and no alignment... So now I will be tearing up new tires on this trip... Train your front desk on what your equipment is capable of... They referred me to a shop that can do it, but it's too late for them to do it... Guess they just wanted to get the tire mount money and not care that I would be an unhappy customer... Bad business in my opinion...

Since the end of May 2017, I have been dealing with Firestone Tire Corporation. I initially brought my truck in because my truck was shaky when driving and my engine light was on. I was quoted $99 for an engine diagnosis and was advised this will inform them of everything wrong with my vehicle. They called me to advised me four separate codes came on and to correct it the cost would be under $900. I stressed the importance of handling all safety measures and they assured me they were.

Once I paid and picked up my vehicle, I didn't even make it off the lot before the engine light came on again and the shaking was still noticeable. I went right back in and they advised me that they only did 3 of the 4 codes because they thought it would fix the problem and they were trying to save me money. They went ahead and fixed the final code and I paid an additional $127. At the time, they reviewed other things with me concerning my vehicle but said they weren't pressing safety issues and I would be fine.

A few days later I went to get an oil change at Meineke and the mechanic asked me if I had a will for death? The reason being my tires were about to split wide open. I was so upset as I stressed the importance of taking care of all safety issues concerning my truck and trusted Firestone did just that. I decided to go back to Firestone after speaking with them and they convinced me to get four brand new tires as it was a better deal that came with a $100 rebate. I put these tires on Firestone credit along with some windshield wipers.

Once my tires were put on I received a call from Justin at Firestone Acworth, GA location and he advised me they couldn't do the alignment and rotation because my tire rod was bad. I asked why didn't they tell me this prior to selling me the tires and he stated they can't determine that ahead of time. I paid less than $600 for the tires and windshield wipers. Shortly after this (days) my truck broke down in the middle of the road leaking gas. I paid to tow my car to Firestone and they charged me $69 stating a cap was loose. Then two additional lights came on my truck and there was a burning smell coming from the right passenger side. Near the front passenger's feet was very hot. I brought my truck in yet again.

Reynaldo called me to tell me my truck now needed $1400.00 additional work. I told him I've already paid almost $2K for this truck based on all their recommendations and I couldn't afford to put more money into this truck. He said he would speak to his manager and call me back. He called me back to tell me they reduced it to $1000 and was only addressing the safety concerns and would also give me a preferred customer discount of 15%. He assured me this work would resolve all my issues and would cost me less than $900 so I agree believing my truck would be in great working condition. He called me that when my truck was ready. I paid an Uber to go get my truck. I paid Justin the amount due and left the lot. I didn't even make it 2 miles down the road before the same codes reappeared and the horrific burning smell.

I was flustered and furious as I needed to get my daughter back to college in Savannah. I called Firestone but they had closed already. I had to pay for a hotel because I no longer live in Acworth and bring my truck back in the morning. They called me before I could call them to see how my truck was running and I told them the problem was not corrected. They instructed me to bring it in again. I brought my truck in and Donna (the new general manager who took Gary's place) asked me if they fixed my problem and I nodded no. Reynaldo raced over to me to tell me not to worry he's gonna take care of me and fix the problem. I left my truck with them yet again. This is June 28th (I remember because it's my daughter's birthday).

Once he completed the work, he called to inform me. He also had the audacity to tell me he could no longer do anything for me for free and going forward he wanted to make sure we were clear that the slate was clean. I advised him immediately that he absolutely did nothing for me for free and the only thing he did was fix the problem I paid for multiple times over that was still not corrected. I was so upset by his comments as I had been extremely patient leading up to this point though this probably made it my 7th visit within 5 weeks.

I called Firestone Corporate to issue a official complaint. Reynaldo told me he worked on my tire rod initially along with some other things and the next day my front bearings. He assured me these codes would no longer come on and the burning smell would be gone. Well sadly, this was not the case. The codes and burning smell happened again. I was IRATE. I made it to Savannah and brought it to Firestone there. They were too busy and asked me to bring it back. I filed another complaint. This time Maurice the area manager called me but I was already on vacation and wouldn't be back for a week. He told me no problem when I get back call him and bring it in. I did exactly that. The only problem this time Maurice was on vacation.

Savannah Firestone checked my truck and discovered the code that keeps appearing with the burning smell has nothing to do with the prior work done. So basically the previous technicians were either incompetent or using my truck as a guinea pig doing exploratory treatment. I have been taken advantage by a corporation I trusted. The reason I chose Firestone is because I'm going through a divorce and wanted a company I could trust to fix my problems so I could be safe on the road with my children. I have spoken to the area manager Maurice regarding the recent update and my problem still not resolved and I'm not satisfied. I am requesting a full refund as I only agreed to pay for work on my vehicle that would fix my problems.

As you can see, it has not and my vehicle is still not repaired. I have paid almost $3,000 for a vehicle that's not even worth that much and my truck is worse off than when I initially brought it in. I escalated again to corporate and Maurice called me back and told me that Firestone would be willing to pay for a diagnostic but unable to reimburse me for work done that they told me was fixing my problem but never did. I was misadvised, my truck was misdiagnosed and monies were taken from me unethically. I want this matter resolved and I don't want to involve an attorney but if I have to I will.

After 20 years of being a customer of Firestone, having many vehicles serviced between Asheville & Hickory, NC locations we are no longer going to waste our time (or hard earned monies) any longer as repairs are not always correct, your time is wasted and mechanics seem to guess (low skilled) and the Younger Millennial Manager only seems to want to bill you for more and more at $125.00/hour, hugely marked-up parts, talking to me like I am ignorant and I am twice his age! Where the hell has the respect gone today I ask? This manager does not like to be questioned about anything (costs, charges. results), His feelings seem to get hurt, he becomes argumentative, yet I want to know the truth and be dealt with honestly as I do for my own business customers. I am a licensed contracting business owner. We DO NOT charge $125.00/hour and lucky if we can survive on 1/3rd that and operate our businesses legally in this area...

But This Hickory Store seems to go through managers, and customer service is very poor as is the customer waiting area hardly serviced. You cannot rely on repairs being 100%, many times had to come back inconveniencing our schedules to do so, given excuse after excuse what problem is, etc etc etc... as many times (we) and others I read about have to waste more of our time to take vehicles back to them to try to fix a problem you already paid previously for.

After events today, seeing the manager (Chris) talk down to me, become condescending and argumentative after I questioned charges, I told him NO MORE and took my keys and left! I had to bring my truck in twice in the last 48 hours for them for a problem that supposedly was fixed in March costing me over $2,000.00 then!!! They seem to guess at the problem, and I being a professional troubleshooter over 35 years, these younger generation kids they have do not have a clue how to approach a problem correctly, or analyze it, yet want to charge an exorbitant fee (giving it a big label) to do so and yet, you can never be 100% sure things are fixed. Double talk by this Store manager today, arguing with me in front of my young son and wife, he even threatening to call Police on me for getting upset with him, we all left and I told him I am taking this to Corporate.

With my many personal and business vehicles over 20 years' time, we have spent MANY, MANY $Thousands of dollars for repairs/service, but in recent times, Firestone and its people at this store seem to be missing the bar in many areas. Just read all the reports against them, and corporate needs to do something or else Firestone will go bankrupt as customers leave them.

I explained about all the problems we have been having with the people upfront and had decided we should just go to the dealership. After some persuading I agreed to try again. 7/9/17 Went online and scheduled an appt. "for an oil change and tire rotation" on Sunday 7/16/17 at 8:30 am to drop off the vehicle. 7/16/17 Arrived at 8:15 am to drop off vehicle. When asked when we would be picking it up I said 1:00 pm. Arrived back at service center at 1:15 pm. Austin went to check me out however, my paperwork and key were not up front. He went to the back and brought up my paperwork and key. He stated that it had not been serviced yet.

I told him the gentleman I dropped it off to said no problem. He told me his store manager was there today and to speak with him. When he came back in the store from the parking lot, I realized that the guy from earlier this morning was indeed the store manager. Austin told him about my vehicle, he then ask Austin what "hook" it was on. He said they dropped the ball and could I wait that I would be next. I politely declined and left. I would never recommend anyone to go to this service center. I rated this as a 1 because there was not anything any lower. Really disappointed in how the service has continually went downhill over the last couple of years.

Please read & please share & please ask others to share. 3 1/2 weeks ago I took my car to the Firestone on State Street in Orem. They put differential fluid in my transmission. They acted like I was lucky because I got a free transmission fluid change, even though earlier that day when I requested a transmission fluid change they told me that they could not do that because they do not do anything on Subaru transmissions, that they're touchy and I should only take it to the dealer. The story changed as I spoke to them. When I picked up my car first I was just lucky and they decided to do it and it was complimentary, then they made a mistake that the car had never been started, then the car had been started, every evolving story.

I asked why it had not been taken to the Subaru shop immediately when they found out they had made a mistake & I was told that they looked it up online and it turned out to be easy so they did it. The manager was not in and it was evening so they said it was safe to drive home and I drove home. The car was lurching and felt different within a few miles. The Subaru shop said that the new fluid could still be contaminated & could be the cause of lurching. The store manager refused to pay to have it taken to Subaru shop to get checked out, also refused to give me the name and contact information of his supervisor or a complaint department at Firestone. I had to do a Google search to get that information.

Yesterday (3 1/2 weeks later) the claims department finally got back to me and authorized taking my car to the shop and a rental. The area manager while I was waiting for the claims department to proceed told me to go ahead and rent a car that it would be covered. I only rented it for two days and used my bike the rest of the time. The claims department yesterday said to submit the receipt for the rental and they would reimburse me.

Here's what I got in response. Basically they want me to release them for all damages, to not have to repair my car that is now having transmission problems, or pay for for the current rental, want me to agree to a confidentiality clause and also to not file any complaints or damages with any government agencies, etc. in exchange for paying for two days of rental last week.

After 1 year and 2 months, the condenser fan failed again, and I was told I needed to replace it AGAIN. In addition, I was told the part and service was not under warranty due to mileage and the warranty expired after 1 year. I find it appalling after several years of repairs on both my vehicles, my wife's vehicle, and my fleet service that Firestone would put a part in my vehicle that would only last barely over a year, regardless of the mileage and would not warranty labor and/or part. We have invested our vehicles into Firestone and clearly there is no investment in us. We will be cancelling our Firestone cards and taking our business elsewhere.

As a paying customer of Tires Plus in Boca Raton Florida, I went in by appointment to have my tires rotated, and oil changed. The oil leaked out all over my driveway the next morning, they took my vehicle back, and I had to take a cab to work. When my vehicle was returned to me, the back door was rattling, a hammer banging sound from bottom right of vehicle. I called to report this & brought the vehicle back to the same store. The store clerk said "Oh all cars make sounds, it must have been there and you didn't notice it". Then the mechanic looked at it and said its just wear and tear and they said they would write me an estimate for the repair (which turned out to be incorrect diagnosis.) They never gave me estimate, or followed up with me.

I called the home office of Firestone 27 times and was repeatedly told an area manager would call me. It was only when I went into their chat room and said I'm filing with FL Attorney General office did they call me. I told them every phone call I am a single woman and use my vehicle for work, my vehicle is NOT safe to drive, so I can pay my bills and mortgage. I have lost considerable income to date from dealing with my now damaged vehicle. My vehicle is now at my dealer and they have properly diagnosed the damage was confirmed to the door, handle, and bracket below damaged costing under $1,500. As of yesterday, the claims dept has denied paying for the damage, and suggested I file an insurance claim. When I replied I am not accepting their denial they then have now offered me to go back to their own center and they will give me a discount that I have to pay to fix the damage they caused.

So to date, my vehicle is at my dealership, and is not safe to drive, so I am in a rental car. I am sending this story to the media. I need my vehicle fixed by Firestone who claims their worth over 200 Billion dollars, but have not taken responsibility for damaging my vehicle. There are no pictures, as the damage can be heard when my vehicle is in motion, and goes over any small bumps. I have informed Firestone claims dept manager I cannot drive my vehicle as is. They have made a conscious disregard for the safety of their own paying customer. I told them I need the go ahead to my dealer to repair it at their expense or I'm filing with addition State and US offices. This is going on over 2 weeks, I have lost many hours of work, sleep, and feel like I'm on the verge of nervous breakdown. Firestone doesn't care.

I agreed and paid 622 dollars for the job they did. I have an old Toyota truck that never caused me big problems. I traveled a lot on it. So after I left the station I started to hear a strange banging noise from the back that I never heard before. A few weeks later I went back to the Firestone and asked them to look at it. I was told that the spring locker was taken from one side and put next to the other one on the opposite side. They immediately started to tell me that they had nothing to do with it and I took the truck after they worked on it somewhere else to work on it more.

It was a despicable lie and I told them so. When I came home I called the Firestone 800 number and complained to them. Then some employee Paul called me and started to scream assuring me that they had nothing to do with the problem, that I can bring my truck to their other station for full day and they will look at it and charge me for that. I had no intention of paying them more money for something they did from the beginning and asked my neighbor who is a license auto technician to look at my truck. He immediately told me that when they were working on my truck at Firestone they simply forgot to put the part back on its place. He fixed the problem in 15 minutes. What made me mad was the inability of the Firestone people to admit to the error and deal with it on the spot. Instead I was bullied aggressively by them. I went to Firestone located at 6100 Winchester, Memphis, TN 38115 around January 14, 2017 to check my alignment. The mechanic, a young 22 man told me I needed a driver side inner tie end rod and that will fix my alignment. I paid for the service. When the young man working on my car took off the passenger side caliper off my wheel, I asked him why did he do that and he replied that when you do an alignment you suppose to adjust the caliper. I asked him why he did not take off the other side, if that is true. He said it did not need it. My car still did not align. I Called the corporate office to let them know of my visit.

In February 2017 I went back because the car was shaking so bad when I drove it I almost had an accident. The car would shake while braking and shake when driving at 45 mph. I took the car back to Firestone on 6100 Winchester. The same young Firestone mechanic said I need a axle on the driver side and a outer tie rod. Firestone did the service and attempted to align it and it did not align; the camber was out. I called the corporate office again about the visit. On March 4, 2017 I took the car to the Firestone on Hacks Cross and they told me I need one rear tire and that will fix the alignment problem. I bought the tire as recommended by Firestone. The car still shook while driving, veered to the left while driving and the brake pedal shook while braking.

April 17, 2017 I took the car back to Firestone because it was getting dangerous to drive. Firestone master mechanic told me he was going to do something that usually fix any shaking and alignment problem. He said he was going to put front rotors, front brake pads, one caliper, balance tires and align. He said this service is at no cost because of the past issues. He did the service. I saw no one bleed the system after putting the caliper and other parts on my vehicle. Two weeks later while I was attempting to brake; the brakes scrubbed and slipped. I had to pump the brakes to stop. I immediately called Firestone corporate office and told them about the brakes.

I called the Firestone on 6100 Winchester and told them how the brakes performed when I was stopping. I took the car to the store and they would not work on the car until they hear from the manager although I called corporate and the work was still under warranty. May 10, 2017 I took the car to Principle Toyota and they kept the car overnight. They put me in a rental yet I paid $45. The next day I was called by the service advisor and went to the store and was told that the rotors were warped and the right camber is off and the car is not aligned just the same as it was in November 2016 when I came in for oil change. Toyota said to fix my car they need to do front rotors, front brake pads, replace struts, do tire balance and alignment. They said the alignment and camber was off because of front struts and not anything else can fix it except struts and not what was done by Firestone.

I immediately called Firestone and talked to the manager at Germantown. He said bring the car to the Winchester store. I took the car to the Winchester store. They told me they could not work on my car until they hear from a manager. Firestone refuse to check my brakes, rotors, balance or any warranty work. I was forced to take the car home. I called the Corporate office and told them about the situation. I called the Winchester Firestone and they said the manager suppose to call me. He wanted to refund me part of my money for the drive axle, inner tie end rod and alignment. I told him what about the brakes and rotors that they put on. I told him to put my original parts back on my car and he said they do not have them anymore. So I was left with the bad parts on my car and did not have the money to pay $2000 for new parts. Although the Firestone parts was still under warranty.

I asked Firestone was my car safe to drive and they said yes. May 20, 2017 I was driving home from the grocery store. The car ahead of me abruptly braked although I was about two car lengths behind; it did not matter because I applied my brakes and the car did not stop so I applied my emergency brake and the car skidded and crashed into another car. I was injured and went to the emergency room. My knee is still the size of a melon. I have dizzy spells and a concussion. My back hurts badly and I cannot sleep. I am too nervous to drive. I reported this to Firestone corporate office and they did not send anyone out to look at my car. My car was totaled.

I am devastated because I could have lost my life or someone else lost their life. I have been in tears since the accident. I am having nightmares whenever I fall off to sleep for a short time. I am on medication for pain and nervousness and insomnia. I have to endure steroid injections, physical therapy, medication, this accident stops my job relocation. This accident has changed my life. Firestone is responsible for this mess. I have paid $3782 for car rental, medical care, hood, grille, bumper, headlights repair. The rotor, brakes, alignment, tire balance are still not fix.

Noland on Noland Road in Independence, Missouri and my husband reported that he had been hearing a squeaking sound, so probably needs brakes looked at too. A brake inspection occurred and ** Technician reported all fine.

The next morning when my husband went to get gas for the car, the ABS lights came on, the pedal was heavy, and hard to stop. Luckily, our teenage son, who normally drives this vehicle, was not behind the wheel. My husband returned to Firestone after work the next day. This time, he was advised brakes were needed and a whole host of other needs totaling $669.58! Furthermore, my husband was blamed as Firestone said he/someone must have slammed hard on the brakes to make this happen. We had the car towed and service repairs done elsewhere. Our safety/lives were put at risk because of this mechanical negligence/incompetence. We had our vehicle towed to Sears Automotive Independence who reported that the rear brake problem should have immediately been detected. They took care of all our needs and test drove our car 2-3 times to ensure everything was in good, working order.

We've discussed this issue with other mechanics, described the situation, who also report disbelief by what we experienced. Unlikely we will be returning to Firestone ever again, at least this Noland location, and we will be sure to alert all our family, friends, and co-workers. Moreover, when I notified Firestone headquarters about this issue on May 3rd was advised someone would follow up with us. It is now a month later, and after repeated email promises that someone will call, no one has yet.

I brought my vehicle in for brakes to serviced and was told I had to rebuild my calipers. Change my rotors in the back. Mind you my vehicle only has 12000 miles on 2015. Ripoff. Ok I told them, "Make repairs." $1700 later I was called that my vehicle was ready and could be picked up. I went to get my car and there was damage to the side of my car both sides from the lift. I went in the business to complain about the damage. Tom from the Firestone at 70 State Highway 139 Upper Jersey City 07306 brushed me off and told another employee to go look at my damage for that employee to have another employee come out and check.

I was told they will repair and one of the mechanics come out with a pry bar and a hammer to make repair... I asked him not to touch my car with those tools so they didn't do any more damage to my car. All they could tell me was I have to come back when there's a manager on duty. I had to make a police report. This Firestone does shady business. Very overpriced false repairs. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Very poor service... aside from my personal vehicles I have a fleet of 13 vans and I won't return to Firestone for service.

The reason for me writing this review to express my frustrations and disappointment in this store as well as this company as a whole. I've been a customer with this company for over a decade including my immediate family. We basically all have accounts with Firestone. In the last 4 months I have spent over $1,000 dollars with them in repairs and car work. This is not including the money I have spent with them over the last 5 years. I'm not about to even get into what that number is around. Just know I probably have paid for a new car by now. I was even upgraded to a premier rewards gold member because of the money I spend with Firestone so that should tell you I spend money with this company and my family. Recently at this particular store I have had nothing but issues. A few years ago this used to be one of the best stores in Columbia.

The guys up front took care of me and I never had any issues with the work that was done there. That's what made me want to do more business with them. Recently in the last 6 months under new management of the store the service levels have declined drastically. I have had to come back to this store repetitive times because of issues with my car. In the last month I have spent over $400. Recently about two weeks ago after spending over $700 in brake service I came to get some maintenance things done and get a new alternator belt on. I noticed a week later the alternator belt was already threading down. I took it back to Firestone and the service manager assisted me with putting another one no charge and was very helpful. I recently came back last Wed. because I had to get some other work done and mentioned to the service manager again that the belt is threading down.

Because of the other work I was getting done and since I had warranty he replaced the belt again. It was Thursday before I got my car since they had to order part and I was fine with that. When I went to pick up car not an hour later with me driving it I hear a pop and my car shuts off turning on a street. I was in the middle of traffic holding it up and had to get out and literally push my car out the road and into gas station. When I lifted up hood I noticed that alternator belt completely popped off and other things were not damaged under hood. Before this I never had issues with this alternator belt. Even the first two times Firestone replaced belt it never popped. So I'm asking myself how did it pop this time. What I don't understand is how you can be a brand recognizable company and don't hire and make sure your techs are certified and know what they are doing.

Sometimes I feel and is actually a fact that the techs that work at Firestone are not certified and really don't know how to fix a lot of issues on cars. A lot of them just know about cars are maybe worked on them or maybe good at oil changes or tires and they learn on the job how to do belts, brakes, etc. They lie about working on something or know they didn't fix it right but just want to get your money. You have to understand everything is about money and numbers and I get that. But at the same time if I pay you money I expect my car to be fixed and not bring down on road as soon as I come it. So I reached back out to the Firestone that did my work and spoke with manager to let them know what happen and that they need to pay for tow to bring it back there. The service manager once again was very helpful and didn't mind doing that and told me he would take care of it. My car was taken back to Firestone on last Thursday.

It has now been a week and my car is still at Firestone. Nothing has been fixed. I'm still without a car and I have not even been offered a rental. The store manager at this store has not been helpful at all. She seems like she doesn't know whats going on and wants to make every excuse about why she can't do anything. She never offered to me what she can do and never gave me satisfaction that she will get this resolved. She told me she can't put me in a rental and I don't understand. My car will not crank. My car cranked fine before I brought it to you, it cranked fine after you fixed it. I feel she doesn't try to listen and understand where I'm coming from and trying to tell me whats going on. Their telling me now it's a timing belt issue but how. I never was told from you all that it was timing belt issue and never had one before I came there.

I really feel like I'm being lied to and just being told things until they figure out what to do and its very frustrating. It's very frustrating for someone to have your car that long and is not even trying to have a sense of urgency to make it right. You are just letting my car sent there and don't even care if I have a car or not. You don't care if I have to get to work or if I'm at inconvenience. I reached out the customer hotline and was able to get in touch with Area manager in the Columbia region. She was helpful and she told me she would take of it. I also requested my car be towed from the Parklane Rd. Firestone over to Two notch Firestone since I don't trust the techs nor management at the store. The Two Notch store manager let me know they had to file claim and my car may now have to go manufacturer dealer. He also told me the claim process could take up to month and I should be able to request rental from Parklane store manager.

Once again this manager is giving me excuses to why I can't get a rental but you are messed up my car. I have also got the regional manager involved because I feel like there is no sense of urgency and everybody is taking their time. I will keep continuing to escalate this until my needs are meant and I'm compensated. I will also be filing complaint with SC consumer affairs dept. and will be looking into legal action. I will also write horrible reviews about this company and how they take care of their loyal customers who spend good money with them. My whole thing is this is not right and I shouldn't have to deal with this. I recommend everybody stay away from Firestone for heavy car work if you don't want your car messed up.

I was hearing a noise from back of my car, so I took my car to Sterling, VA Firestone and asked to check my brakes and shocks for me and see what the cause of the noise is. They called me the next day and gave me an estimate of almost $2,500.00 saying my breaks were bad, my shocks were bad, and my CV boots were ripped and also my calipers were damaged and needed to be replaced. I asked them to put the car together and I will pick it up.

Then I took it to my regular mechanic and asked him to check the same thing. After his review I was told there is nothing wrong with my car, shocks are good, breaks are fine and have at least 5000 more miles to go on front and about 15000 on the back breaks and none of my CV boots or calipers were bad. The noise I was hearing was a loose screw on the backseat which he fixed for me for free. And what is worse they charge me $20.00 to lie to me. People work hard for their money and should not be ripped off by unethical, lying cheating mechanics. Never going there again. Do not use them.

After two visits and much discussion the manager finally called in my fleet information and I arrived to have four tires put on my fleet service vehicle. Had experienced a flat and was running on my spare, was told they didn't know where to put the spare back on to the truck. I said, "you better find it. You're a tire shop." Then they said, "well your truck has roof racks on it and it's hard to get it higher on the lift." I told them I wasn't going to lay out in the rain and put it up underneath the truck myself, they got it done.

Then I was told I needed a alignment and TPS reset. Tires were worn bad on edges in the rear only. I asked if the alignment would fix that and he said no. I declined the alignment said yes for the TPS reset. He then told me, "I went on the computer but you can't have the TPS reset, your fleet account won't allow it." I said, "please get them on the phone. I'll talk to them and I have to have that reset. It's a safety issue and we cannot drive around with a safety issue on our vehicles." He declined to call them said I should just drive down the road. It may or may not reset. At which point the mechanic came out from the back and started arguing with me and he said, "what's your problem?" I said, "I want my TPS reset." He said, "I guarantee you that's a Ford right, yes. I guarantee you it will reset within a half mile." This manager tried to bill me for something that he knew would reset, they drove it in the parking lot and reset it. Hmmm.

I think these jerks are on an incentive plan, they sure try to extrapolate every buck out of me possible. They should try to make their money legally. I've never been jerked around so much in my entire life and I've been driving these vans for 45 years. Lot of tire changes. Firestone Service Center, Farmington Ave Bristol Ct. rated this 5 stars by Tire Rack. BIG MISTAKE. Purchased 4 Continental tires thru Tire Rack and this Firestone SC was one of the installers recommended within my area. Made an appointment and the earliest they can accommodate me was Sunday at 1000hrs. We arrive about 15 minutes before the designated time and after the preliminary discussions with the salesperson the service technician took the car in to have the 4 new tires balanced and mounted. An hour and 15 later the salesperson called my name to discuss the issue of 2 stripped lug bolts with stripped threads. I asked him if I could see the problem bolts and showed it. I noticed that the 4 new tires were already in their designated rims and mounted in the car.

I told the technician that this was not right because when I mounted the nuts I usually hand turn them until they're halfway in then I use the lug wrench in sequence at least 3 times in each nut until they're tight. To make long story short we are charged exactly $463 and 3 hours later. I am old and retired and don't have that kind of money to give away on other people greeds. If this is what most older retired folks will encounter while getting their vehicle service by a well known brand like Firestone, then God help us all because the service nowadays are horrible- nobody takes pride on what they do.

On Friday the 28 April 2017 while I was returning home from work I noticed my brake pedal was very soft. I pulled into my driveway and parked my 2004 Yukon Denali. While the car was still running, my brake caution light was displayed on my dash. I turned the car off and checked the brake reservoir. It was empty. I looked under the driver's side of the car and noticed my brake lines were corroded and one of them was completely ruptured. I now had a large amount of brake oil under my car. I called GEICO emergency road service on Saturday the 29 April 2017 and they quickly arranged my car to be towed to Firestone Complete Auto Care by the Honolulu Towing company. Once on site, the assistant manager Mr. **, told me they would look into in a few hours and call me back. I left the car in their possession at 1011 am under work order **.

Since I didn't receive a call that afternoon, I called them at 5pm. He told me they would work on it first thing on Sunday the 30 April 2017. At 0932 on Sunday I received a call from Assistant Manager Service Advisor (**) from number 808-263-2009. He told me his mechanic was uncomfortable to replace all four of the corroded brake lines since they run close to the car frame. He then told me they serviced the reservoir and that the brakes were working. To be clear, they noticed that one of the brake lines were corroded to the point of rupturing and just topped off the oil reservoir. He then told me the car was "drivable" and that I should take it to the dealership for repair.

This shop is a certified safety inspection station for Hawaii as well. Telling a consumer that it was safe to drive this automobile across the island to the only GMC repair shop knowing the brake line was ruptured is completely unprofessional and unsafe to the general public. I'm still in shock. After telling my story to GEICO emergency road assistance representative, they arranged my car to be towed tomorrow 01 May 2017 at 1030 from this Firestone Complete Auto Care shop in Kailua to the GMC repair shop in Honolulu. They were also amazed that an assistant manager would recommend to a consumer to drive a vehicle with a known ruptured brake line across the island (approx 25 miles) for a dealership repair. GEICO overwhelmingly agreed with me to NOT drive my Yukon with a known ruptured brake line. The GMC service department is closed on Sundays which is why we arranged my car to be towed on Monday.

I called the service advisor back at this Firestone shop today to let him know that I was not going to drive my car across the island with a leaking brake system. I also told him GEICO was willing to pay for my SECOND towing evolution since they decided it was too hard to replace 4 corroded brake lines since his mechanics felt "uncomfortable". He then responded to me that was fine and hung up the phone. Much Aloha!

Very disappointed. I've been a loyal Firestone customer for years. I brought my car in and asked for a full inspection because I needed it to be ready to make a 400 mile round trip to visit my mother for Easter. They did about $600 of work on my car on Saturday, tell me I'm good to go. Sunday, I'm driving down I-95, going about 70 miles an hour, suddenly, my steering wheel starts shaking uncontrollably. I'm terrified, wondering what's happening. I hear a loud pop noise and my car starts skidding to a halt. I almost get rear-ended by the driver behind me, he has to swerve to avoid hitting me. I desperately try to change lanes without being hit by the drivers speeding around me, even though my car will barely move.

My husband had to miss Easter with his family to come help me (I know how to change a tire but I have severe carpal tunnel and problems with gripping things so I was worried I wouldn't be able to tighten the lug nuts tight enough) and missed getting to see his grandma who is in stage 4 liver failure and probably will not make it to another Easter.

The next day, I brought my car in to explain the entire ordeal. The manager was horrible. Completely nonchalant about the whole thing. He actually said to me, "Look it's nobody's fault." No, dude, it is unequivocally YOUR FAULT. I bring my car in and ask you to make it safe to drive and you leave me with a car that is NOT SAFE TO DRIVE, that is your fault. I called the corporate complaint number and currently have an open case. I was supposed to hear from the area manager within 24 hours (which would have been by 10 am today) but have not gotten a call from him. I'm going to call my case worker back.

I am extremely disturbed by the company's horrible response to this situation. It says a lot more about a company how they handle their mistakes than how they are when things are good. I've always used Firestone for major repairs. I've bought tires for them for all of my vehicles for the last 15 years. I am so angry about how this whole situation has been handled that I never want to use them again. If my car breaks down in front of a Firestone, I will pay to have it towed somewhere else. Don't trust these people to fix your car.

I have been going to Firestone for years for everything from inspections, tires, oil changes, etc. I recently took my vehicle in for a free brake inspection feeling positive they were getting close. I was informed that to replace rotors and pads would cost over $1,300. I did not have that kind of money and was expecting to pay roughly $300, with the sale they were running and the information listed on my very recent inspection.

My friend said we would get the parts and do the job ourselves. I've never done brakes but would learn to save money. I purchased new rotors and pads wanting to ensure that everything was good and even all around. This cost me $277 retail. The front brakes were replaced in one hour by the two of us, the rear took a little longer because the rotors were stuck. With the help of the internet and some creative people, this took roughly 3 hours including all of the time spent on the internet!

Firestone would have gotten a better price than I did for the parts, so why would it have cost $1,300 plus??? I feel that they thought they saw a female coming who would just pay the price quoted without batting an eye. I saved over $1,000 doing the job myself and Firestone has lost a good customer. I don't even know if I feel okay to buy tires from them anymore. I am so disappointed that I finally am submitting my story to let others know what happened.

This is in re: to the Firestone on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena. I quit going to it a few years ago because they take too long and a couple of things they said they had fixed broke again soon after. But I decided to set up an appointment today to look at a tire with a slow leak. I mean, how hard can it be to fix a stupid tire? In the first place, don't even bother to schedule an appointment. It is *always* first come, first serve. So I had to wait for 30 minutes for them to even get to the car and look at the tire. Which they said had a nail in it and couldn't be repaired.

It's a Mercedes Benz, and an expensive tire -- you can't fix / patch a simple nail puncture? I thought all current model tires were fixable, but okay, whatever. So I told them to go ahead and put a new tire on it. They had advertised a sale online for tires for that model car for $90-some dollars. They charged me $176 for the new tire and never, ever, mentioned the word "sale". They took a further hour to put the new tire on. After over 2 hours of waiting I finally went up to the cash register and stood there snarling at the cashier lady. She mumbled a bunch of mechanic talk about why it was taking so long, so then I went outside and stood OVER the mechanic telling him I was tired of waiting and just give me the damned keys. Oh, they wanted to charge another $135 to change a headlight, but couldn't get the new headlight to work so that didn't even get done.

I got home after prying the keys out of the mechanic's paw and he had left one of the tire caps off -- and NOT on the tire I needed to have fixed, so I don't know why he was screwing around with it. AND he messed up the tire pressure all the way around so I had to let air out of all four of them to meet the spec's that were listed in writing on the door frame. I haven't mentioned the list of other ** they wanted me to have done, too, after I specifically told them I was NOT interested in a full diagnostic -- I will not never ever never go to this place again. They used to be pretty good - reasonable prices, dependable and not terribly long waiting times. That has certainly changed in the last 5 or so years, and I'll start watching the WSJ to see if they're teetering on the edge of bankruptcy too, like Sears and Penneys. After driving the car engine started tapping, I brought the car back for them to find the issue and the was no oil on the dipstick. The manager quickly replaced the oil and told my husband "not that it was their fault, but that may have to replaced the engine", that was four months ago. They had a third party come out and say it wasn't due to low oil pressure. They continue to focus on the wrong issue, trying to find everything else wrong with the car. I have wrote to everyone in the organization, but they continue to deny my claim. A $30 oil change has cost me a family possession. I have been a customer for over 20 yrs, they won't see me again.

Today I went to the Firestone in Laguna Hills Mall to verify if they did align my car which I brought in last week. The mechanic said it was done. How could it be done if my car still swerves to the left. Furthermore there was no report given that it was aligned. The printer was out was his reply. I told him that for years I have been bringing my car in for alignment when it swerves to the right or to the left and each time it was always corrected. This time around that did not happen. I informed the mechanic I was not coming back. "We would like you to come back." "I do not trust you," was my reply and left. I bring my car to another mechanic and when I told him about the incident, he said he has clients that said Firestone would recommend a repair and upon his inspection there was no need for it. Are they becoming crooks? And the words of the Founder says that honesty is their business. How ironic?

I went over to Firestone and checked it out myself and found nothing wrong. Told them to align front end and they did. Picked up truck, steering wheel was off to the left, they said it was because idler arm was bad (wrong). I straightened wheel myself. Also when picked up, drivers door wouldn't open and drivers window wouldn't go up. No more Firestone visits for me.

Same thing happened again the third time after supposing it was finally fix. We were taking it back the tire falls off on the road. Two guys who saw it happen got it back on their response. We were lying we should have sued. We were dumb and had our oil changed there a month ago. I had it back three times which I thought was a tire problem. I told them about light on dashboard kept flashing. They could not find anything. I was worried took car somewhere else. It was short 4 quarts of oil. It could have destroyed our car. I went to Firestone to check the sound which was coming from the Front right Side whenever I go to a bumpy road. The sound was very annoying and was disturbing a lot. I paid the 10$ amount to get complete car inspection and they recommended me to get the Engine mounts replaced and provided me with estimated cost of 1120$. As I got the car recently from one of my friend, I thought to give it some more day before I make the decision of getting it fixed.

Two days later my car started behaving abnormally and the noise which was very less earlier it increased like hell. Now the noise was there every time even when I am driving on a smooth road with normal gaps or bumps. Earlier the noise was not that much and not also very frequent. I am sure that Firestone guys did something with my car and broken the system which was running fine earlier. The noise which was coming has now increased a lot and really making it impossible to drive.

Number one if you don't want to give customers satisfaction you should not sell something you give poor customer service for. I have had nothing but problems after I bought the lifetime of front end alignments. Dropped my car off at 10. Called at 2:30 and they said "yes your car is almost done." Once I get there they asked if I wanted my tire fixed that had a nail in it. I said sure. After 3:30 now saw my car leave the lift and garage and they told me it will be another hour before it is done. Why would I come up there to sit for 2 hours. They are liars. I will call corporate for the second time and complain but will do as least business as possible in the future there. That is not including the $600 in work they said I needed. NOT.

Bottom line they refused to do the front end alignment and lied and said I cussed them out. I did not cuss them out. I said "I did not come back up here to sit all day." They are crazy and will not get in trouble at all. The worst thing I said was "this is ** to sit here for 2 hours." I will come back and they refused to do it. I said not today but they went on to say would take an hour to replace my head light and while I was waiting they would do a courtesy alignment check and guess what I was in desperate need of an alignment. I went on to explain that I didn't have the time today to get any of these things done.

Well finally 2 hours later and 125 dollars got my head light was changed and I was done. I went back home and did what was needed. The next day I had forgotten that I had gone to the bank and left some cash in my console. After he finished doing that, he started to take the oil out. I had change my oil a week ago. I didn't request to change the oil. I had to ask the manager why they were changing the oil. He said it was a mistake. Don't know if they put the oil synthetic that I had on there. Went to the dealer and they didn't put synthetic. I was the first one in the store and they took 3 hours to service a rotation and an alignment. Will be getting a lawyer because they also damage some parts in the alignment. I was barely able to drive the car; when I pressed the gas there was no acceleration. I made an appointment with Nissan and they said the clutch was burned out. There had been no problem with the clutch, the alignment was totally unnecessary and it is my opinion that they sabotaged my car. I do not think I can ever prove that they did this, but I can say that they took advantage of my elderly husband, forced him to get a $169 alignment when he just went in for an oil change, and my clutch which worked when he took it in did not work when he left. It is my opinion that the intent was to damage the clutch and then charge for repairing it.

Called before 7pm to say I wouldn't be able to pick it up by 7pm but asked, "would it be possible to get tires rotated since I had one replaced?" Answer: "yes, but we have some appointments in the morning. Can you come in a little later in the day?" My answer: "ok, sounds good." (That would be Sunday.)

I came to Firestone of Branford on Sunday after 1pm (tire should have been replaced Saturday night). The woman behind the counter waiting on a customer impatiently puts two callers on hold that no one ever gets back to. She asks who is next and I say, "me, but you can pick up those calls if you'd need to." She looks at the phone, kind of chuckles, grunts and turns to me and says, "no, let's go." They eventually hung up.

She begins looking for my tire. She can't find it anywhere. Time passes. She elicits others help. No one can find my tire. I literally have to step into the repair area to point out my tire from 100 feet away. NO ONE HAD DONE ANYTHING TO MY TIRE EXCEPT MISPLACE IT. I walked out. Dee (the woman managing the desk) called me 20 minutes later to tell me the tire was ready.

Of course, I'm driving on my donut. So, I drive into the Firestone parking area. Come in, pay for and take possession of my tire. I immediately carry the tire to my car and begin jacking my car up to change the new tire for the donut right there in the Firestone parking lot. NO ONE SAYS A WORD. No, "may I help you Mr. **." Dee actually came outside at one point to have a cigarette, looked straight at me. Didn't say anything. I also purchased additional services such as road hazard warranty and lifetime tire rotation and wheel alignment from the same store. I routinely take my cars to rotate tires and check and do the alignment if needed. They told me that they could not do the alignment of two of my cars. One Windstar and the other is Camry which has less than 26K miles.

Firestone told me that I must replace the inner and outer tie rods which is a total of close to $1000. I took the ford to the ford dealer and I took the Camry to the Toyota dealer. Both dealers told me nothing is wrong with the cars and "we can do the alignment for you if you wish." I went back to Firestone and told them what the dealers told me and gave them the written diagnostics the dealer performed and documented in writing. Firestone still insisted that it cannot be done. I chatted with firestone corporate and will see what happens. They gave me reference number for the file for the Windstar is **. The reference number for the Toyota is going to be **. The service manager is nice but so far, I have lost confidence of them. This is rip off.

I took TWO vehicles in for the change (not in violation of the rebate terms), obtained the rebate form at the close of the transaction and sent them in with the required original receipt provided by the Service Center at the close of each transaction. I received two post cards, presumably one for each transaction that stated that my submission would not be honored because I did not submit the required "original receipt." When I went back to Firestone, I was told that what they had given me were the "original receipts." Phone calls to the rebate center put me in endless phone menu loops and I was never able to speak with a person.

All in all, a very time consuming and frustrating experience. The takeaway... Don't shop Firestone based on a rebate. You will never receive your rebate and will spend inordinate time and experience extreme frustration in pursuing it. Essentially Firestone "baited" me to make a purchase stating that it would cost "X" and when it came time to pay, the price had increased by approximately %30! To add insult to injury, I was able to contact Firestone corporate (not anyone actually dealing with rebates). The representative seemed very sympathetic, agreed that it sounded to be very fraudulent and promised that I would receive a phone call "within 24 hrs." Of course no one ever called. So much for Harvey Firestone's credo of fair dealing posted in the Service Center waiting room.

We came in to have the brake fluid and rotors replaced on my wife's car when we were told we needed 4 tires. Since this Firestone passed the car for inspection 2 months prior we spoke to Todd about it prior to purchasing the tires. When we asked Todd he said that when they fail cars for bad tires on inspections it raises red flags with the state. So my response was "it's either a safety issue or it's not. Why would you be dishonest because of what the state might think?" The guy had the nerve to say to my wife with me standing there "If you were my wife I'd make sure your tires weren't bald." I had to pray to myself and think of my family, freedom, and job to keep me from acting ignorant. So when we looked at the tires the outer tread was fine. It was the inner tread that was worn, but not "bald".

So I asked him if he was married and he said he was and he takes care of his wife's car. Then I told him "but you're a mechanic". I said this because I wanted to see if this guy had any idea he just insulted a customer, but his arrogance may have blocked that feeling. We will not patronize FIRESTONE, Hampton VA again. I have gone to Firestone for years for alignments and inspections. Little to no issues have ever happened, until recently I had a flat repair done at the Banksville store in Pittsburgh. I normally don't let them touch my tires as I have them done elsewhere but I couldn't drive far so I choose them. In the process they have damaged two rims on my car. I drive a 2013 Dodge Challenger and the rims are not cheap, because the tech wasn't paying attention or was not properly taught, he cracked the face of two rims which have a plastic chrome on them, these are not wheel covers, but rather considered chrome clad rims.

I had brought this up with Jeff the store manager, and he acknowledged that it happened and had talked to the tech about it. He also has promised to replace them. That was three months ago, each time I attempt to get ahold of him to try to resolve this it fails. He's either busy, or forgot, or something happened and he again promises to get them. This has been three months of this and I finally resorted to go and complain to the company. This hasn't been the only angering thing about the situation. I found out recently by the dealership that certain things need to be reset on newer cars when an alignment is completed. If they are not issues arise with the cars safety system. I have a lifetime alignment with them, and they do not know how or even possess the tools to reset these systems. They are vital to the car's operation. I now have to let the dealership fix my car to correct this and cannot believe the "ASE" techs they are suppose to have would do this.

I can't speak for every situation, or car, or person at firestone, I have seen good techs who's knowledge of cars is excellent. However this issue over a simple flat repair has gone too far and now they have lost myself, and my family who trusted Firestone to work on our vehicles. I want things done right when it comes to my car, I understand mistakes happen but this has proven to me that you get what you pay for. I will never return to Firestone for another repair, I don't make a lot of money, but I'd rather spend my hard earned money on service that gets done right the first time, and by techs who know my car!

She figured she'd just have the inspection done there to make it easier. When the tire and alignment were done, the tech came out and said it would not pass inspection because the car needed a new serpentine belt.

First off, this isn't even part of the inspection process. Secondly, the car had been inspected the day before and the ONLY thing wrong was the front tire. He then told her he could replace it and it would be $120! She called me distraught. I told her absolutely not to have it done. This was an obvious attempt to get more money for a service that wasn't needed. She told him no, this isn't in the budget so he took it down to $80. Still a no. So because he'd already stated it wouldn't pass, failed the car for steering! Took it first thing this morning to a certified inspection station and the guy who works on our cars. He checked the belt, it's FINE. Car passed with no problems. I think because she was a young female she was targeted, and this was an obvious case of fraud. I can kind of understand wanting an upsale, but they tried to sell me new tires and I just purchased the tires the year before, then my battery was no good. I had questioned them that since they had replaced my brakes they make noise all the time, it was nothing that they did. It was because my car had ceramic breaks. It is strange that after just getting home and putting my car in reverse there is no noise which I was assured that the noise was because my brakes were ceramic.

I think something needs to be done about the quality of work that is done there. Training needs to take place or they need to be fined. If you go back and read in complaints I am not the only one that has had problems with Firestone. Word of mouth is the best advertisement any business can have. Made an appointment for a state inspection. Didn't seem to matter since I still waited an hour to complete a ten minute job. Was told that the ball joints were okay but it needed a front wheel bearing. I returned to my garage and completed the job over the next few weeks. Returned 30 days later and again made an appointment but still waited an hour. It was beyond the grace period so had to pay again and wait for them to go over it again. This time was told that both front ball joints were bad despite having only driven it 17 miles since the last inspection. Mechanics were either incompetent and fraudulent. Will be contacting the corporate office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol to file complaint and may proceed with claim against company.

I was trying to get the small town feel. I had tires I had purchased online delivered to the Ridgmar Mall location in Fort Worth Tx. I went to have them installed after calling and talking to a real nice man named Darrell. I get to the location he is not in and I dealt with a woman named Lisa and a guy named Randall. They tried to tell me all my lug bolts were bad. Granted I bought a used car and some broke one of the bolts off. They quoted 121.00 for that. I opted out and told them to replace the tires only. "We can replace those ourselves for 6.79 a bolt." I understand labor but really. So we leave to let them work on the car and they call about 15 minutes later and tell me all the bolts and lugs were bad.

Randall said he would have to extract the tires. I was like no. It was going to be almost close to 700.00 by the time they extracted my tires no. I say always get a second opinion. I took my car to a local shop been in business for 28 years. 88.00 dollars later tires changed and the bolt is replaced as well. Don't trust big corporations with your money. It is a scam. I may have been born at night but not last night. I felt like they were just trying to get money out of me and saw a sucker. I would have in the past just let them do it but I have learned over the years. If they are pointing out issues they are trying to scam you. I was getting my car ready for my Daughters homecoming parade which my car was entered. Mins after dropping my car off I got a call saying "please come back to shop!" Once I arrived I noticed a DENT in my bumper. They said that some other customer had hit my car, but they will fix it. The local shop put in a claim to corporate Firestone, and told me someone would contact me 3-5 business days. IT HAS BEEN OVER A WEEK, AND YET A WORD FROM THE CLAIMS DEPARTMENT! I've called corporate twice only to get the response "someone will contact you". I've missed my Daughters parade due to damage, and Firestone has just LOST a longtime customer!!!

What a shame. Firestone located at Arbor Place Blvd, Douglasville GA has taken care of my 2011 KIA since I bought it. Had oil changed in June, unknown to me they left it 3 quarts low when they gave it back and blew the engine. The car is sitting and has been sitting at the KIA dealership for a month now. Firestone just emailed me that they were not paying for an engine replacement. There is no accountability for this company. No ownership from the company. Didn't even go and review the car... KIA dealership says yep - burnt up oil caused a burnt engine. Luckily I have an awesome insurance company that says they will take care of me and go to Firestone themselves. Shame that a big company like Firestone feels like they basically can treat the little man with no respect.

I went into Firestone for an oil change. I was asked if I wanted the free inspection and I agreed. After an hour and 20 minutes the young lady working told me that I need new tires and a alignment. I stated that I just purchased the car and everything is running just fine. I only live around the corner from Firestone so the next morning as I was driving to work the car started pulling to the right. I called them on my break and told them what was going on.

The manager Dave told me all they did was an oil change and they couldn't have done anything to it. I told him I know how an oil change goes and when I brought it in I didn't have any problems so how could it be pulling when it wasn't doing that when I brought it in? They didn't do anything but test drove it and said it was pulling but I needed new tires and a alignment. I should be able to take my car in for an oil change without being worried if they tamper with my car. Just said I don't have any and I do mean any extra money for repairs. Something needs to be done. Needless to say I will never in my life go back to Firestone in Nora in Indianapolis, Indiana. Sara was the young lady and Eddie did the work. I went to Firestone in Birmingham Al to have Tires Balanced and Rotated and Oil Change. When service was suppose to be completed Manager told me that my balance and rotation was free and only charged me for the Oil Change. So I asked him and he stated that my car was fine and I was good to go. I explain to him I was my way out of town and I away get my tires rotated and balance and oil change before I go. He gave me a receipt and I trust that everything was okay. Once I got on the road I was at a 50 mile on the highway and my tires on the front end started vibrating once I got up to a certain speed. So slow down and continued my trip in fear all the way. Once I turned home I was praying all the way that God will help me make it back.

I took the car back and asked them to check my front end tire. They were vibrating and I was told the tire rods needed to be replaced, so I told them my car was not doing any of that when I came to get my tires rotated and balance. I had no vibration or anything like that before I took my car into them. One of the tech's that looked my car say my tires were never balanced. They had just be rotated and he got really smart with me and said "well how many miles do you have on this car anyway?" I guess that was to say "your car is old anyway."

I kept explaining there was nothing wrong with my car until I let them work on it. I went by twice and no one would help me. I am fearful to go back to them and want everyone else to know that damaged my car and wanted $400 to fix it. There was nothing wrong with my car until I went to them. I have made several visits to the Firestone on 5034 Memorial Dr, Stone Mountain, GA 30083 for regular oil changes, as well as some concerns that my car was running loudly. Each time I was told I would be fine. In July, I was told by ** that I had a hole in my exhaust but I would be ok as long as I could live with the loud noise. So I asked him if it was anything major and he said no, nothing to worry about until time for me to get my emissions done May 2017 because it would not pass with the loud noise. I said "are you sure", and he said "yes you are fine". On September 29, 2016 I went in for a regular oil change, new tires and lifetime alignment. I had concerns regarding the loud noise and I told ** that my steering wheel was sticking when I'm driving and I wanted to make sure it would not interfere with my wheel alignment. He said he would have the guys check it out for me.

My disappointment came when I arrived at 11:30 that morning and there was only two other people there. Around 1 pm another gentleman came in for the same services I was getting except they had to order his tires. However he was out of there by 2:30 pm and I was still waiting. I then addressed ** and told him I was not pleased with the fact that I had been there over 3 hours and this guy came in and was out in less than 2 hours. He blamed it on the techs and said it was according to which tech took the ticket. I told him that was unacceptable. I felt like I was discriminated against being...I was a female and I was overlooked. He kept saying that was not the issue and I yet disagree. Although he gave me a small discount for the wait, that service was unacceptable and should not ever happen.

Around 3:50 my vehicle was finally complete and he told me they didn't see anything wrong with my steering and that the hole in my exhaust is nothing major but would just be annoying because of the loudness. He advised me to go to a muffler shop if I wanted to get rid of the noise. Because I have no income as long as he assured me there was nothing major wrong and it was just loud noise, I could live with that. I drove off and the next morning while I was driving, the steering wheel begin to stick again. I called him immediately and he said I would need to come in and have a tech ride in the car with me. I told him I had asked them to test drive it when it was there to check and I thought that's what they had done in order to tell me they didn't find anything wrong. He told me they were too busy to test drive it. So how could they say nothing was wrong if it was never tested?

Well on October 8, 2016, early morning I was driving and lo and behold my muffler fell off in the front. How did they not see that coming after all the inspections they did over the past few months. So May, I was good. July, I was good. September, I was good but ten days later my muffler fall off, that's not good. I was told that I could have hydroplaned and flipped my vehicle had I been driving any faster than the 30 mph. No I have to get that repaired when it could have been avoided had they properly inspected my vehicle. They charge a lot of money to scam you out of repairs that don't need to be done instead of the repairs that actually needed to be done. I think this repair should be on Firestone, no charge.

Firestone is the worst auto repair shop I have ever been to. This one I am talking about is in Phoenix Arizona. I took my car there to have four new tires put on and an alignment and was talked into a couple of other things. I spent like three hours there and over seven hundred dollars only to drive away and find out the Mechanic who worked on my car broke a part for my air ride suspension. It was a part that detects how much weight is in the vehicle then automatically adjusts the height of the vehicle. Well with this part broke my car sat up as high as it could because it was detected that there was a lot of weight in the vehicle when actually there was not. The Mechanic that worked on my car had to know this part was broken because it hangs down under the vehicle you can even see it from behind the vehicle while driving behind it and it was sitting unusually high when it left the store.

When I went back with the problem which was that same night they took it in and looked at it and admitted the Mechanic broke the part during the time he was raising my vehicle as he was supposed to disconnect that bar. The guy that worked the counter said he would pay to repair it himself out of his own pocket even if he had to go to a junkyard and pull it himself. Oh and not to mention the part that is broke is retired and no longer being made so it is not possible to find it they stopped making them a long time ago. I had talked to the Manager and that got me nowhere. I have even filed a claim with Firestone but nothing has been done or heard about it. Now I understand this part is discontinued BUT something needs to be done and there is something they can do but they refuse to do it. They can convert my rear suspension over. Now the time has come for me to contact an Attorney and file a claim against them. This is not over yet.

I told her we have an appointment at ABQ health partners, my Father who is 82 just had hip surgery and is having difficulty walking. She was very gracious and helped me get the Uber app. I could not access an account with Uber. She then offered to take us.

When we returned, we were not charged for the tests. I tried to take my car to a transmission shop down the road, it completely went out. We were stuck on a busy street. To my dismay a driver for Firestone was passing and stopped, called a tow and gave us a ride to the transmission shop. These great employees should be recognized for going beyond their job duties. Our car was checked here because it would not start. They charged us $25.99 to check the battery. They called and said battery checked fine. When arrived to pick it up, it would not start. The Firestone guy boosted the vehicle and stated, "That's weird". Took it to another place, who does not charge to check batteries (as most places do not). It failed the test. Big surprise. Battery replaced same day for $52.00 less than Firestone's price and a 6 year warranty compared to Firestone's 5 year. Plus, no fee to install. We have not had any trouble starting this vehicle since then.

Looked closely at the Firestone battery test later and it read: 'Your battery performance has started to decline and may fail to start. Consider replacing before it's exposed to extreme temperatures'. I had to call and argue with the Firestone guy to finally get a refund. Funny thing is... They don't even keep our vehicle's battery in stock. I verified this by calling two other Firestone locations. It's special order only. Only go here if you break down in their parking lot and you don't have roadside assistance.

I check all the local auto shops and was told the radiator would cost 129.00 and was a lifetime guarantee, when I told them they did not know what to say. Nowhere in my paperwork did it say 12 months, they agreed to put the radiator in free but I had to pay the labor. This radiator job between the two repairs cost me 560.00 in labor repair. I took my car into Firestone yesterday for service. My power steering had gone out and I needed an oil change and new tires. I had gone on the website and found tires for my car for $48 per tire and made an appointment to have the work done and tires installed. I was at the store at 7am when it opened to drop off my car because I had to work. At first I was told that the cheapest tire they had for my car was $66 per tire. I had to show him the exact tire I wanted on my phone to get the cheaper tire. Once that was resolved, I explained the issue I was having with my power steering and was told I would receive a call once the problem was found. At 1:30 that afternoon, I still hadn't heard anything so I called and was told "let me call you back in 10 minutes."

45 minutes later, I got a call saying that the problem was my power steering pump. He said that the part was $169 but the labor would be $270. When I questioned why it was so much for labor, he told me it would take about 2.5 hours of work. I hesitantly agreed and was told it would be done by 6. It was. I picked up my car and drove it home, only a few miles from the store location. The next morning, I started my car to go to work and it was making a squealing sound. As I backed out of my garage and started down my street, it got louder. In fact, it was loudest when I was accelerating. When I braked or was at a stop, the squealing was quieter. I'm no mechanic, but I could tell the sound was coming from under my hood. It was obvious. Also, when I would accelerate from a stop, about half the time, the "BRAKE" light on my dashboard would come on.

Since I had no problems with this happening before I took my car to them the previous day, I called the store as soon as it opened and explained what was happening. They told me to bring it in and they would look at it. So when I got off of work, I went and got my kids and we went to Firestone. I explained again what was happening, gave them my keys and sat down with my 1 year old son and 6 year old daughter to wait. An hour went by before they even moved my car from the original parking spot.

After 30 more minutes, the mechanic came to tell me that I needed new wheel bearings and brakes which would cost almost $900. I couldn't believe it. I asked him why the sound was coming from under my hood if it was a brake problem. He told me that brake noise can sound like that sometimes. What??? So then I asked him why my car was all of a sudden having these problems? The sound and the light had not been happening until I brought my car into them. I said "That seemed like a pretty big coincidence." He insisted that it must be just a big coincidence. He suggested that if the almost $900 was too much money, maybe I could just do one side and come back later for the other side. At this point I was furious. Here this guy was telling me that I was imagining that the noise was coming from under my hood and that it just so happened that all these problems happened the day after they worked on my car.

I told him there was no way I was paying the that much money. His final solution was to have his manager call me in the morning to see if he could give me some sort of discount. I truly feel like they took advantage of the fact that I'm a woman and I have little to no knowledge about cars. They overcharged me for labor to install the power steering pump, then broke my car while they were in there. Now I have to take my car to somewhere else and pay who knows how much to fix the damage. Please beware of Firestone especially if you're a woman. They will mess something up just to get you to pay more money to fix it. Never again.

I have many over many years I will continue buying tires there because I believe for the most part they do have some of the best tires being sold. I also am a Firestone employee and get a very good discount on tires. Which makes my treatment by the Auto Care Centers feel so much worst I would think they would treat fellow teammates better.

I will start with my most recent problem I have had with them. I purchased a set of 4 tire for a car. Less than a week later the tire was flat. I aired it up again and sprayed it down with soapy water. It was leaking air around the bead so I'm thinking it must be a narrow bead or lack of tie into the inner liner. I took it into the shop without even looking at the tire. They told me it was my rim that was bad. I assured them that my rim was fine and they should look at the tire for the problem. This lead to a very heated discussion ending with me telling them I wanted to see this rim that was so bad it would not hold air. An hour and a half later they brought my tire back out, told me it was a rusty rim. They repaired it and that the tire would hold air for a while. The rim was so bad that it would not ever hold air long term.

At that point I am very upset they never showed me the bad rim. I get home and notice the bead sealer oozing out. I have seen a lot of bead sealer used and never seen it oozing that long after. Two weeks later the tire is flat again. So I take it to another shop. I explain everything that happened. He comes out and says, "Yep, aluminum oxide is the problem" (at least this guy uses proper term for it). He also continues to tell me that the rim was never repaired, basically that means using a wire wheel and cleaning it off. He says, "Don't worry. We fixed it for you this time, but it will not hold air long term". That's two tire repairs I paid for this tire.

So about a month goes by and it's low again. So I say maybe it's time for another rim. I find one at a junkyard and they say they can install the tire also. When he pulled the tire off the rim he is like, "I'm sorry but there is nothing wrong with this rim and it has NEVER been touched by a wire wheel". He shows me the rim and I can clearly see that it was never ever repaired as I was told TWICE. I tell him I need to find out if it is the tire or not, so go ahead and sell me the rim you have. Again a month later tire is low. I tell my son because he is the one driving the car back and forth to college he is just going to have to keep an eye on it. Less than 10k miles and the tire is shot partly due to him not checking the tire like he should have but he shouldn't have had to check it that often anyways. I purchased another tire and had it installed on the original rim. 2 months later and it is still fully inflated. Yes, I checked the rim was never supposed to hold air.

I have had two tires many years apart that developed bulges in the sidewall both times less than two weeks after having them installed. I take them in and say I believe that an open splice is problem with the tire. They tell me that no I hit the curb and it is an impact damage that caused it and that I should have purchased road hazard. Both times they were heavy duty truck tires.

I ask if these were the same tires they sell to construction companies. Yes they buy lots of these tires so I comment if they are that fragile. How do the tires hold up under the conditions they drive them in? I only had the tires for two weeks and drove on paved highways and city streets. Also why would it be long linear bulge that follows the direction of the radial fabric used as body ply? I challenged both to cut the tire because that is the only way to tell if my assumption was correct and it would be obvious if I was right. The first manager conceded that he would replace the tire this one time. The other manager absolutely refused.

I had taken a car in for a realignment one time after I changed ball joints and brakes. The guy at the desk comes out and tells me my brakes are bad and need replaced. I inform him I don't think so because I just did them myself two day ago. Oh we were just going by the mileage on the vehicle. I find that very hard to believe.

I was very busy and had a coupon for an oil change so I took my car in for an oil change. The very nice lady behind the counter came carrying in an air filter that was extremely dirty. She sits down with a concerned look on her face and say, "Troy, this is your air filter. It needs to be changed". Now I worked as a mechanic in the military and have always done maintenance and repairs to my vehicles. Because of a very expensive air filter bought at a Ford dealership after my wife was getting warranty work on a vehicle that had just been replaced I started writing my name and date on the air filters. The filter this concerned lady was showing me did not have my name or date on it. So I explain that I didn't think that this was my filter and we should both check my car together.

When I get out there they DID NOT even have the air filter box popped open on my car. When I opened it I showed her my nearly new air filter with my name and date clearly written in black marker on the orange seal of the Fram filter I installed less than 2 months before. She quickly says, "Oh, I'm sorry. This is off the car next to yours." Not even the same make or model as my car.

I was busy again so I asked my son to take the car to the care center and have the oil changed with a coupon I had again. When I got off work I checked the oil as I always do when someone else has changed it because of a dealer that grossly overfilled and blew my head gasket. I noticed that the oil fill cap on the valve cover was missing. I called them and asked if they would happen to have it setting around the shop somewhere nope. The tech did remember it having one when we dropped it off but it was impossible that they were responsible for it being missing. I was the only one that opened the hood since the tech closed it less than four hours earlier. They would however sell me one for $20. One from an auto parts store was only 5-6 dollars.

I am well aware that nearly all the service centers operate this way. It's a sales-based industry and one where most customers are ignorant about how their cars operate. Which makes it very easy to take advantage of that ignorance. If I have any more tires that I believe are factory defects regardless of where I purchase them I will be taking them to small claims and posting more reviews based on what happens. I encourage everyone else to do the same.

I don't know where to begin with my frustration with Firestone at 1558 South Wabash, Chicago, IL. I struggle with writing this letter because I have nothing good to say. First, my husband contacted the company to see if we could bring my car in for inspection as we believed my battery was useless. This we explained before even walking in the door. We were told that we could bring the vehicle in as there was no wait; this was exciting as I was already late for work. When we got there, we were asked if we wanted to wait or be called be 10:30 with the results. We informed them we would leave the car and await the call, by 10:30. There was no call! I waited to around 11 and called myself to see what the finds were and was placed on hold and no one returned for about 10 minutes, so I hung up. Hoping that once they realized I had hung up, I would be called back but that did not happen.

So, I called back around 11 and spoke with a technician that told me that it was in fact my battery and the cost would be $188.00. I asked what this price included and was told the cost of the battery was $124 and the fee for the electrical battery test was $24.99 then taxes and fees. I wasn't happy so I indicated that I never asked for the electrical battery test, so he waived the fee. I agreed to have the battery changed out and stated I would be there to pick up the vehicle after 5. This is when the mess goes even further! I went onto Firestone's Website to see the difference in batteries and their prices. In order to do this, you have to enter the make/model, year and engine size. So I did! Only one battery came up for my size vehicle and the price was $99.99 and $14.99 to install. So I called back and spoke with a rep in relation to the quote found on their site.

He told me that the battery didn't fit my car. Again, wait what? I entered all the information that was required on the Firestone's site to provide the quote and only one battery came up that fit my car, so are you telling me that your site is incorrect? This guy went on and on trying to convince me, later to say they didn't have the battery and to bring in the quote and they would price adjust. That didn't happen! The same gentlemen indicated that the quote in which I had was not the correct battery. I asked why tell me to bring the quote if it wasn't going to be honored. He stated that he wanted to see the quote. I was so upset, I asked for my keys and left. My husband looked at the battery and saw that it was the same exact battery that was installed in my car, so he went back. He asked and was told that it was a difference in the battery.

The rep stated that the battery that was installed in my car was the Mega-Tron ll 24FR. My husband asked what 24 MFR meant, the guy provided no explanation just continued to say that it wasn't the same battery. My husband then asked why the article number for the battery in my car matched the article number on the coupon. The guy couldn't provide an explanation so he just refunded $20.00 to my Firestone account. This is horrible! How many people have they done this to? I feel like because I was a woman they just took advantage of me. I feel like Firestone is a ripoff! Why would you treat your customers like that? I trusted you all to provide me with quality and professionalism. I'm second guessing all the business that I have done with you all now and that's not good. I want this to be looked into as this is FRAUDULENT and there is no telling how many other customers this has happen to.

I went here as usual for an oil change and tire rotation. They refused to rotate my tires claiming they were bald (no they weren't) and I really HAD to get new tires NOW... TODAY! I said I'd handle that later (tire gauge showed about 10 to 15,000 miles left on them). Asked them if they rotated the tires, they said "no." And they refused to do so. I paid and left, but later noted that they charged me $20 for a tire rotation! They saw my complaint on Yelp, and indicated that they wanted to resolve this and gave me a email. I sent a copy of the bill to them, but 1 1/2 billing cycles later, I still see no $20 credit. I even indicated that Yelp is just a start, and I know how to use the internet, and don't let the cane fool you - I have a big mouth. I'm on a roll to make sure they lose $20 of business, if not more. Yes I'm a millionaire, and YES! $20 is a big deal to me! That's part of how I got there.

After taking a very cursory look at the tire (barely a glance) we were told the tire could not be fixed but had to be replaced, NO ONE in town carries that brand of tire but they could order it for us, $263. We made a few phone calls and found that Discount Tire on Windmill had our tire in stock. We drove over, they took the tire off, tested it in water and could find no leak, removed a tiny screw head from the tire, put the tire back on and we were on our way. No charge! You will be surprised what happened then. They don't do the tune-up like what I asked, but they did something else that I didn't even ask. They replaced my 4 spark plugs that cost me $59.96 and the labor for removing and replacing the spark plugs is $111.- (ONE HUNDRED AND ELEVEN US DOLLARS). Can you believe this happened in the USA. Is the mechanic has PhD degree or something? Then they do a COOLING SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST and CHANGED the air filter! What my cooling system has to do with the tune-up?? This place is really horrible and when I contacted the Firestone main office, they said they will make a file but cannot do anything with the price list! I am done with Firestone! Just be careful!!

I talked to Firestone Complete Auto Care front desk person that I recently pumped air in but get flat again so my tire most likely had a hole. After I wait for more than 2 hour, Firestone personal told me that my tire repaired. I drove my car for only a couple of days later and light signal (flat Tire) went back on which I felt very upset that my tire most likely just got the air pump in.

I went back to the shop on 08/19/2016 for tire repair again. Firestone personnel told me that they patched my tire last time and got new holes which need to replace with a new tire due to many holes on my tire. I told him go ahead replace with new tire, but I had a feeling that Firestone did not patch it last time so I asked the guy that replace my tire gave me my old tire. My feeling was correct. My tire doesn't have any patch on it and could be only one hole on it. I still had my old tire with me just for evidence.

He opened my driver side door and slammed it into the post that supports the weight of the vehicle putting a huge dent/scratch in the paint. He also was covered in oil and jumped into my truck covered in oil getting oil all over the seats. He left an oil rags in the cup holder. Then when he was backing the truck out he hit my mirror on the same post he smashed my door into. When I ran out there and confronted him about it he dropped a bottle of pain killers/** and says "ya I probably shouldn't be working on this medication." Also in the engine compartment they didn't secure the plastic cover over the motor that was also covered in oil.

I ended up filing a claim against them and had to hire an attorney to get the matter resolved. The damage to the vehicle was $2,800 dollars and I had to fight them in court. I did win the case but it was a major pain in the butt. Terrible terrible company. I will tell everyone I know for the rest of my life how bad this experience was for me.

I am writing in regards to a service performed on my car on August 18th 2016. The service included a wheel alignment recheck (Alignment for life package). Prior to going to FIRESTONE I purchased 4 brand new tires from Tireland USA and there was no noted, discovered or felt problems on my car, but only took it there to (FIRESTONE) to be realigned due to the new tires. I took my car to FIRESTONE at 3:54 p. m and was checked out at 4:16 p. m, which to me seemed fast for an alignment which typically takes about an hour. After leaving the store I took the car for a test drive on the highway because I heard the technician complaining about me because I often have my car repairs done elsewhere because it's cheaper and only bring my car there for the alignment service because it is economical.

While test driving my car I noticed that my steering wheel was shaking very bad when I press on the brakes. So I took the car back and told the service tech about the problem and insisted that they place the car back on the lift to ensure the they tightened all of the bolts back up. When the technician placed the car on the lift he told me that the shaking was due to my driver's side wheel bearing being broken. I explained to the technician that my car drove just fine before I brought it there and asked him if my wheel bearing was broken then how were they able to align the car in the first place and asked why they allowed me to leave the store without providing this information to me. The tech just smiled and said, "We didn't sabotage your car, sir."

I explained to him that the reason for my concern was due to a previous experience back in March or April in which I took my wife's car to the same FIRESTONE for an alignment and was told that they could not complete the service because her wheel bearing was bad and that I had to fix it first. In that case they provided me with a quote, so I took the car to personal mechanic. Had the car fixed and aligned the next day.

Additionally the technician called the police on me because I didn't want to leave until I spoke with upper management. They said me being there was not a good look for customers coming in and my demeanor was not polite. I have All paperwork and pointed out discrepancies in the times listed on my receipt, and the actual alignment paper that shows a different time of service and also shows that the left front wheel was adjusted which is also the wheel bearing in question. However when my service was complete the technician stated that they adjusted my passenger side wheel, which was the only tire out of line. Stay away from this place if you can. They prey on people's ignorance.

We thought that was weird since the vehicle only has 45,000 miles but we trusted that they knew what they were talking about. So Firestone replaced the clutch kit, charging us $1000 to do it. When we picked up they told us it was still making the noise and they didn't know what it was. We were pretty upset that they charged us this money and didn't even fix the issue we brought it to them to fix in the first place but we paid them and took it home anyway. When I put it in reverse the gears grinded but I stupidly drove it home anyway. I also noticed that the clutch seemed really loose. Over the next couple days shifting into reverse and first gear became increasingly difficult until we could not put it into first at all.

We called Firestone and they had a tow truck come and pick it up. After a couple days they called us and said there was nothing wrong (except the noise of course that they never fixed). So we went to pick it up again and sure enough, it shifted just fine with no issues. Firestone claimed that they did nothing but my husband and I both observed the issues and it wouldn't have fixed itself. I believe Firestone messed up from the beginning and didn't want to admit it. Bottom line is these people are dishonest and don't know what they are doing. They made a GUESS as to what was wrong with my vehicle, and they were wrong and charged me anyway, and on top of that didn't even do - that might the first time!

Well, I live in the woods so I know that is not the case. The 3rd visit, they decided to rotate them and see if that would help, not sure how, but that is what happened. Now the front right tire leaks, where they put it during rotation. I have since been back to the shop, 5 times and guess what, I still have leaking tire. They can't seem to find why this is happening. So now they want me to buy another tire with my warranty.

Since this was not happening to any tires, prior to them working on my car, I am not sure why I should have to pay for more work. I have been a Firestone CC holder for probably 15 years and used your stores. At this point, I am so disappointed that I will be cancelling my Firestone card and moving on to a company with better standards for customer loyalty. I will now take my car to a different shop in the morning to determine why I am losing 12 psi each week in my tire. But my guess is that when they put the new tires on, they cracked the rim and just refuse to admit it. But we will soon see. SMH!!

Stay far far away from Firestone on General Booth Blvd in Virginia Beach! I have had nothing but issues every time they touch my truck! A few months ago I went in for brake service. When I picked up my truck I had ZERO brake pressure. I took it right back (seconds later) I was told that I needed a new master cylinder. I'm not a mechanic but I'm also not an idiot. After having to question the work and techs, they finally admitted they blew it due to a high amount of hydraulic pressure. I was then told they didn't have the part and would need my truck overnight. Seriously now I was left with no transportation because of this! I still gave them another chance. Went in for 4 new tires and an A/C check. Again I was told my compressor was shot and needed to be replaced. Turns out all I needed was a recharge!!!

They almost cost me several hundred dollars for nothing! And once again on 7/5/2016 I took my truck for an oil change. Less than 2 weeks later my truck is not running! They did not "top off my fluids" as they advertise and I had ZERO transmission fluid! I called and asked the manager Bill about this and he was almost verbally abusive and stated "are you trying to blame my techs for your transmission issues." Well actually YES I am! Had my fluid levels been checked as part of what I paid for maybe my truck would be fine! I was about 45 minutes away from home when my truck began to act up. I was on the side of the highway with my children in the dark. $300 for a tow. Thanks to them! I've sent an e-mail to corporate and I guess they don't care! Do not trust Firestone!!! They don't stand behind the PAYING customer. They will lie and support crap work from the techs!

Over a thousand dollars later and problem still exists. We took it in a couple of times, and they kept it overnight, but they claim they don't see what the problem is. Plus, they replaced things that didn't need replacing. Come to find out the problem might be with the coils and it will cost maybe $200 at the most. This came from a friend who also repairs cars for a living. Never again will we do business with them. They want your money rather than trying to find the real problem. Firestone located at 7085 E. Main St, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. I purchased 4 tires which I am very satisfied with. I knew I had a leak in heating/temperature valve which they replaced. Also they said an idler arm needed replacing which they did. Here is where things took a turn for the worse. The blower controls are stuck on the defrost setting. I was told they would have to remove the dashboard to fix it. Also was told that all the brake hoses were leaking, the rear caliper was seized and they would not even be able to remove them with a blowtorch (BLOWTORCH?!).

Estimate was $1,130.00 plus, depending on what they had to do to get the hoses off. We are retired and on a strict budget so needless to say I was very distressed by this news. Talking with a friend he referred us to a very reliable mechanic that did an inspection for us. The idler arm was missing the grease fitting so he fixed that for us. He also found no cracks in any of the five flexible hoses and no rusted/corroded fittings that would impede any type of replacement. Reading many of the other stories here it seems hopeless that anything can be done as far as getting the damage inflicted to the AC rectified. I will not let them work on the car anymore, but I feel they should reimburse the costs I incur getting them fixed. I can mail you a copy of the receipt.

If you use Firestone... BEWARE! Today was the third time I took one of our vehicles into the Overton Ridge Firestone store to have a nail removed from a tire. And for the third time there was a reason it had to be replaced, and each time it was after the tire was already off the car or truck. Long story short, the first time I ended up buying a new set of tires as the old ones did have some wear on them. The second time I made them put the tire back on and took it to Costco.

Today they first told me that the nail went in at an angle and tore up the inside of the tire. When I got back to the shop, I wanted to see massive internal damage on the inside of the tire. Now the story changed and there were two nails. One went straight in and the other, about an inch or so away went in at an angle. Either way there was no damage. They couldn't just plug them because it was not within the guidelines published by "the tire manufacturers association."

So the people who manufacture and sell tires are making the determination what can be repaired and what has to be replaced, and of course they are right on top of that. What a bunch of BS. So they used the tire warranty to sell me a tire at the discounted price of $54 plus, of course, every little tack on charge they can think of... Then to top it off they charged me for a new road hazard warranty to the tune of $25. So I left there spending an extra $125 over the $25 state inspection I initially stopped there for.

My experience with Firestone as an organization is that they are dishonest and deceitful. I will never use them (or the Overton Ridge store) again and will make every effort to make sure that everybody I know understands that, as well as blogging this story on every social media site I can find. It boggles the mind, but imagine just how many people they've deceived and how much money they've made doing it. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Forgetting I knew a mechanic, I drove it in to a Firestone to have a diagnostic done to confirm what I thought was the issue. I am pretty savvy with auto repairs so I just wanted to make sure before I started buying parts. Coincidentally when I said hell no and left, my a/c just stopped blowing cold air completely.

I quickly called the mechanic and he told me to just drive it in and he'll take a look. It turns out it was just my a/c compressor clutch and a/c condenser fan. I have been a Firestone customer for over 20 years. I recently moved to the Nashua NH and was happy they had a local Firestone. I went in once for tires...got a quote, and then after leaving the car got a phone call with the "bait and switch" tire option. I went back a few months later for a state inspection sticker. I was told the wheel bearings were bad, the suspension was bad, the control arms were bad, and the brakes were bad. I pointed out that ALL of those components were replaced within the past year, and some the week just before the service appt. The service writer insisted that his technicians were not wrong. I paid and told them I would take the vehicle to a garage that was at least smart enough to look for new parts before making bogus quotes. I barely got into traffic when I realized the manual transmission would only shift 2 gears. One of the shift linkages was sheared off.

I zip-tied the two pieces together and limped home. Later I installed a replacement linkage. I waited a week, returned to Firestone (despite my pride) and told them everything was replaced. They said they could now see that everything was fixed, but tried to fail me for other issues that they could still "fix" for me, but I insisted that those "issues" would have been caught previously and they were just gouging me. Then the technician comes in and says "the piece of ** Saab doesn't even have reverse". I demand to inspect the vehicle before they push it out. The shift linkage is broken...AGAIN. They tell me it was like that when it came in...**. Luckily I still had the zip-tied original linkage in the trunk, but I was packed and ready for a weekend getaway and not happy to have to limp around again. They refused to install it without charging me. I reached in and replaced it myself, burning my arms several times.

I drive off and notice a nauseating raw gas smell. Several miles later, when the smell has not subsided, I realize the smell is my own car. I look underneath and gas is pouring from the tank! I can clearly see where they placed the lift arm under the plastic tank instead of the lift point. I rushed back, furious. They again say that I drove it in that way. This leak was so bad that it left a wet trail behind me, and my full tank was down to 1/4. So I insist that I will report them to the State Motor Division for passing a vehicle with a highly-dangerous issue. Then they retract and say it must have happened after I left, "since Saabs are such pieces of junk". (This may be a good time to point out that at least 4 of their technicians drive newer Subaru WRXs, very uniquely decorated, which had repeatedly passed me with their middle fingers out when I first moved into town).

Well at this point my girlfriend is crying from utter frustration with them, my yelling has attracted the attention of all of their customers, and the "manager" of the store is insisting I leave before they call the police and charge me for trespassing. I told them not to bother, I was already dialing the number myself. So NOW they want to bring the car in and inspect it. They put it on the lift and ask me to come look. I can see quite clearly that they have wiped the lift arm marks off of the tank. They suggest that I leave the car and they will contact me with a quote to replace the tank and all of the fuel lines. Hell no.

I sent an email to Firestone Customer Relations. They put me into contact with a "regional manager" who not so ironically manages all 3 of the local stations, including the Nashua location. I told him that I wanted reimbursement for all of the damages and half a tank of gas. He insists he would look into the matter and get back to me. (insert sound of crickets chirping). I tried to call him again, but he was always busy and would have to call me back. (again, insert sound of crickets chirping).

I checked the computer and they all showed 40-41 psig. I have a 2012 Corvette, and the tires should be 30 psig all the way around. The computer showed the left front being the high pressure. I stopped and let a little air out of the left tire. I drove the car again and the light came back on.

When checking the computer, it showed still 41 psig in the left front, but the right front now showed 2 lbs less than before. Bottom line was the left sensor was showing the right front tire etc. I called the store and they said "bring it back". ** was gone so another guy had me pull the car over to a bay, where he checked the tires, and they were 11 psig over inflated. He yelled to the guy at the tire mounting and balancing saying your gauge is off by 10 psig. He adjusted the tire pressure, and recalibrated the sensors. I asked how do we know that the sensors are now actually reading properly, and he responded with an attitude "Because I just recalibrated them". He didn't take any air out of one tire to see if it showed that on the computer, he just said "you're all set". I left and drove home with no high pressure light as now the computer showed 30 psig on all 4.

On Friday 1/29/16 I had to go up to Tampa as my mom was having surgery. I took the Corvette, and at 60+ I had a terrible vibration in the steering wheel, and the wheel when driving straight was cocked to the left (not straight). I called ** and he said bring it back in and they would check the balancing. I went to Tampa, and took the car in on Saturday morning 1/30/16 to check the balancing. ** was there and I asked if he wanted to go for a drive so I could show him the problem. He said "no, let us rebalance them and fix the steering wheel, and then we will see if the problem goes away." I went to eat at a diner next to the Firestone shop. After a few minutes I saw the manager drive away in my car. He returned in less than 5 minutes.

I finished eating and went back to Firestone. I asked a guy at the desk what they found on my car and he told me that they had to calibrate the balancing machine, then it showed my tires needed more weights. I asked ** what the guy found when driving my car, and he said it was fine per the test drive. It was the same guy who adjusted the tire pressure on my tires after the mounting. I asked if he took it on the highway since the vibration was in excess of 60 miles an hour. He said no, he took it around the block, which is a 45 mph zone. While sitting in the waiting area, ** and the guy who took my car for a ride got into a loud conversation, which got louder and began getting out of hand.

Finally they went into the shop and the guy talking to ** got very loud and was pointing his finger at ** and yelling. I could hear just fine even through the glass sitting in the waiting area with the TV on. After a few minutes ** came in and asked if I wanted to go for a drive to check the car. While in the car I asked if he (**) was the store manager, or the other guy whom he was arguing with? ** told me that the other guy was the manager. I took the car on route 75 and took it up to 90 mph, with seems like good results. The wheel is straight now, and I did feel some vibration, but minimal so ** and I agreed for me to drive it a while and monitor the situation.

Bottom line is that ** was great, and so far I like the tires. As for being run as a professional establishment, far from it. The manager was NOT helpful, and he didn't even speak with me about the problems. His actions in the front counter and waiting area arguing very loudly was not how a manager should handle a situation, and it doesn't go over well in front of customers. At the time of purchase, ** told me that if I didn't like the Firehawks after 30 days let him know and he would put me in something else. I was not sure about the Firehawks as I had the original Goodyears on my car. I didn't get that in writing as I thought ** was the manager, now I wish I had asked for that. So far I like the tires, but I am not sure if I will ever go back to that Firestone store. I surely won't tell anyone to go there."

To date, no return calls from Firestone, except from the store Manager, who is trying to help. 2/19/16 Back to the Firestone store and spoke with James, tires still have a vibration. James and I went for a road test, James confirmed the vibration. James said that the tires might have been sitting in the back storage area for a while, and in the Florida heat, and the size of the tires they may have developed a flat spot. James said, "I will get a new set from the factory, and call you when they come in." (1 HR).

3/9/16 No call from James, so I called the store and spoke with James. He said that they had not arrived yet, but don't worry he didn't forget about me, and he would call me when they arrived. 4/12 Or 4/13/16 Still no call from James, so I stopped into the store. Alex told me that James no longer works there, that he quit. Alex knew of my troubles, and he said, "I will take care of you." He didn't have 2 new front tires at his store, but the Tampa store had them. Alex called Tampa and had them transferred to the Naples store. We made an appointment for Saturday 4/23/16 at 9am. (1 HR).

4/23/16 Arrived at 9am, went to breakfast. Car was taken into the shop at 10AM. Car finished at 12:30. (3.5 HRS). 4/23/16 Tires still vibrating during a road test at 70+ MPH. Called the Firestone Customer service number 800-441-1669. The customer service found my initial claim (letter). I told them that I just left with another set of front tires, and the same problem. Customer service updated the file and said that someone from upper management would be calling with in 24-48 hours. (30 Min).

4/26/16 Went to Firestone and asked the new manager to go for a test drive. He said that he couldn't leave the store, and could we do it on the 27th around 2PM. I said, "No problem, see you then." (1 HR). 4/27/16 No call from upper management. Call the 800-441-1669 customer service again. Told again, "I will escalate and someone will call you with in 24-48 hours." (30 Min).

4/27/16 Took the car to Firestone, and Larry (Manager) went for a test drive. Vibration confirmed. Larry asked if I was set on FireHawks, and I said, "No why?" Larry said, "When we get back I will see what other tires may work." Upon checking, there was nothing in the Firestone or Bridgestone line in the run flats for the rear of the corvette. Larry said, "Lets put one more front set of tires on the car, and see if that helps." I asked, "What if this new set also vibrates?" Larry said at that point, "We will go outside the company and get a new set of tires." Appointment made for Monday 5/2/16 at 11am. (1.5 HR).

5/2/16 Took the car to Firestone at 11am. At 12:15 Alex said that they couldn't get me in for a while as they had someone on the rack that would hold my corvette. He said, "Do you want to wait or come back tomorrow?" I said, "Nope, I will come back." Appointment made for 9AM, 5/3/16. (1.15 HR). 5/2/16 Called Firestone Customer service again. Again told that they will send to upper management. They also gave me another phone number to call. 630-259-9631 Case # **. (15 Min). 5/2/16 Called the 630-259-9631 at 1:45PM. Just a heads up - don't ever take your car to Firestone. They are so dishonest! The manager came out to the waiting room and told me that my oil looked milky and if I had gone through high water... I told him "no I didn't," and my car didn't indicate anything wrong with it. He then said "I am sorry" when I gave him attitude about it. When the mechanic came out I questioned him about it, and he said "No nothing is wrong with your car". Sad thing is they were taking advantage of the flooding situation we had here in Houston. And in the area I live and work we didn't have standing water.

It NEVER fails that EVERY time I go to Firestone I have an issue & the "lifetime" alignment is a joke. First of all, because they know they won't be making $ on it, they try to find out if you have lifetime before making an appointment & if you do, you're at their mercy for an appointment. Once the appointment has been made and you're at the designated location, you sit for hours only to hear..."We can't do the alignment because you need..." then before leaving you get the "list" of the expensive "recommendations."

It's happened to me today and that makes THREE times total. Today they lost my tire lock that was supposed to be put back in the trunk where they got it but it's not ANYWHERE in my car. After calling, I was told it was in the passenger seat but guess what...? It's NOT there either. I truly hope upon my return they will have it. I try to give them the benefit of doubt & hope for a better experience but to no avail. If I have to suffer this type of service for a "lifetime"... I'm done. It's just not worth it!!!

When I arrived to pick vehicle up after the work was complete, they presented me with a bill for $468.00. They jacked for a hundred additional bucks without notifying me. No additional work over what was quoted was performed. I have never had any repair shop do this to me and I consider it absolutely unethical. I will never spend another dime with Firestone.

I had a leaking fuel line, but because I had surgery on my arm I was unable to crawl under the car to check exactly where it was. I know it was just under the rear driver side door. Took it to Firestone to have it fixed where I got that famous call, "Well you need ALL the lines replaced." I was charged $1100 for the repair of the fuel line. Also somehow a brake line was broken during the repair process, which I was told was taken care of for free. But that's not all. When I went and got the car, I also found that the driver side rocker panel trim on the bottom was busted and hanging off. I went back to Firestone the exact same day I got the car, took the employee out to show it, and was told there was nothing they could do. And by the look on the employee's face I knew for a fact they were not going to do anything so I had to pay to get that fixed as well.

When I bought my car 3 years ago (2013 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid), I was sold by Firestone a lifetime alignment in Santee when I took it there for an oil change. On April 3, 2016, I called Santee Firestone and asked, "Do you have time for an alignment?" I was told that there were no more appointments available but if I was willing to leave my car the entire day they would get the work done. I was told they would call me if the car was done sooner. I dropped off my car before noon and took my 2 girls (11 and 5 yrs old) across the street for lunch and do some shopping (we have 6 hours to kill). At 4:30 I received a call, I didn't have a chance to answer it (it only rang twice), no voice mail was left. I called back, no answer. We walked backed to Firestone.

I got there and was told that they would not get to my car today. I asked, "Then why did you take my car in the first place? I have been walking around with my kids for 4 1/2 hours?" His response was, "I didn't know you were going to be walking around." "So, if I had waited in your lobby you would have gotten to my car?" There was a girl in the front lobby (got the feeling it was his girlfriend), less messing around and more focus on work - my car would have been completed. It is a front end alignment that shouldn't have take more than a few hour TOPS, and if he didn't have time for it he (Chris) should have told me so on the phone. The drive is 20 miles one way. THANKS FOR WASTING MY ENTIRE SUNDAY!

So after the Santee experience, the following Monday I went online and scheduled an appointment for the Firestone on C Street and Park Blvd - Downtown. Due to downtown traffic I was running about 10 min late, so I called. The guy that answered the phone said, "No problem, we will be here." I get there 5:10 pm and then had to wait another 20 min. due to an unhappy customer yelling at the same guy I spoke to on the phone. I waited patiently. Then when the guy finally got to me, he said, "You don't have an appointment. I noticed that when I was speaking to you on the phone." "Why didn't you say something to me then?" He said, "I don't know." He told me my appointment was cancelled because the front end alignment takes a min. of 2 1/2 hours to complete. I asked, "Then why didn't someone call or email me?"... Again, "I don't know."

Firestone sold me the LIFETIME FRONT END ALIGNMENT 3 years ago and now they don't want to do the work. I have called both times before showing up and I get nothing but lies. I just bought my tires and need a front end alignment... I guess I will have to go to a different company and pay again. FIRESTONE IS A RIPOFF!!!

Firestone had been my company preference where my tire needs were concerned. In fact I can't remember buying tires from anyone else. Although I paid a higher price it was always offset by good service. The Firestone Service Center at 2704 Flower Mound Rd in Flower Mound, Texas (Managing Partner **) recently installed two new front tires for me. Before leaving they informed me my tire pressure sensor wasn't functioning but should work itself out within 24 hours. This seemed to be accurate as the sensor came on later that evening. Unfortunately, over the next couple of weeks it began working intermittently and then finally stopped working completely. I called twice and was told to bring the car in.

When I finally had a chance to bring it in they asked me if I used "fix-a-flat" on the tire which I didn't. I was dealing with a young lady when a gentleman came out and began talking to me about the issue. He never identified himself but I saw his photo on the wall and it was the managing partner, **. He told me that fix-a-flat often contributes to sensor malfunctions which made sense to me. Since I am not an expert on tires and related issues I asked why I wasn't told this before I left with my new tires when they knew the sensor wasn't working. I did not receive an adequate response. I asked if the fix-a-flat was definitely the issue and he continued on to say it could be the battery. Finally I told them it worked fine when I brought the car in and did not work when I left. Without missing a beat Mr. ** responded, "I don't know how it got broke, but we didn't break it."

The comment was disingenuous but more importantly contradictory. I am not unreasonable however, in my opinion, Firestone shares some of the responsibility for not communicating this to me at the time of service. In addition it is my opinion that had I known this we could have remedied the situation then and there rather than requiring another visit and additional wait time. I would have been happy to purchase the sensor if they would have installed without charge which, after researching the installation would have taken all of ten minutes. However I was not given that option. In fact, I was not given any options at all other than replace the sensor and pay for the service. Finally, Mr. **’s attitude and approach was unprofessional. I will NEVER buy another tire from Firestone again and I urge any customers thinking about tires to look elsewhere.

Rear brake replacement (with a confirmed appointment) took 3 hrs after being promised it would only be 1 hour. Mgr had this lame excuse.."you know how these things are". So I thought, well hell with that store and went to Providence store for scheduled oil change. Seemed fine. Go for next oil change at Pvd and didn't get discount w/ coupon. Courtesy check revealed nail in one rear tire.

Tire mgr. Joseph said it was too near the sidewall to repair and tried selling me 4 new tires, then 2 for the rear, then just one to replace the one w/ nail in it. I said "no just do the oil change." Turns out the nail was in the center which could have been easily plugged or patched. Gold members get free flat repair. Yeah right!! Filed complaint w/ corporate about Joe's dishonesty and currently waiting for area mgr Keith to call. After reading some of the other reviews here, not really expecting that call. If he does call the first thing he'll hear is me ripping up the estimate for new tires! Point is they treat regular customers poorly.

My van was leaking gasoline immediately after or while I was filling my tank. I had 2 friends look at it and tell me it was the hose going from where you pump gas into the tank, a.k.a. the fill line hose. I took my customized wheelchair van into Firestone to have it fixed. I told them the situation. They seemed to ignore me when I spoke, they just seemed to hear leaking gas. They inspected my van and insisted I need to replace my fuel tank. I reluctantly agree to spend $1863 to replace it. It takes 2-weeks for the part to arrive. I make the appointment since they called me to say the new tank was in.

I bring in my minivan at 8 am, like they insisted. They removed my old tank immediately. Then I waited. And waited. After 4 hours I go ask "what's the wait for". The manager on duty made me wait until the other manager returned from lunch. She returned after another hour plus and had me wait another 20 minutes while she called to see when my tank would be delivered. What? I made an appointment because they finally had a new custom tank. Now I wait 5+ hours for it to be delivered. Finally it arrives. Job finished rather quickly, but 7 hours in total.

A week later I fill my tank, starts leaking worse than before. I go in and show them. They say they can't do anything with a full tank, come back once my tank is closer to empty. It stops leaking by the following morning. I finally use up my tank, make an appointment, and bring it in at 8 am again. This time I leave it. I call them at 12 noon. They say they are taking it to put gas in to see where its leaking from. What? I brought it in leaking and was told they needed it empty, now they're putting in gas to see where the leak is! So at the 12 noon call I'm told they're putting in gas. Give them 45 minutes. I decide to wait.

They call me back at 7 pm (closing time?) to ask if they can keep it overnight, it'll be ready by 9 am. I wanted sleep on my Saturday so replied, "can you pick me up at 10:30 instead?" "Sure, sure, 10:30" he replied. Finally at nearly 1 pm I had my van. Well, took my car to get gas today, guess what. It started leaking right after we put gas in! I paid over $2000, plus all my lost time. I need this fixed! Yes, I'm a quadriplegic in a powdered wheelchair, not a moron! I need a converted van to get to and from work!

My family's been going here for oil changes for a while and they've been fine. Yesterday my 17-year-old daughter brought her car in for an oil change and while she was there they did a check on her battery and told her it needed to be replaced. The receipt reads "OE CCA 550, MEASURED 385 CCA, RATED 550 CCA, REPLACE BATTERY."

The car is a 2014 Hyundai Accent. She knew the battery shouldn't be failing. When she questioned Mike, she was told that "even though the car is a 2014, it probably shipped in 2013 and is therefore 3 years old and most people prefer to replace their battery about once every three years." When she told me this, the first thing I did was call the store and ask for help in deciphering the date sticker on the battery. I was told that they "didn't know how to read the code because all they deal with are interstate batteries." Now I'll admit I don't know much about batteries but I do know this is a required, standardized code common to all batteries, not just a particular brand and I was just told they couldn't read that code? Definitely threw a red flag up. Oh, and according to the sticker, the battery was shipped from the factory with the car in June of 2014 (F/45), so it isn't even 2 years old yet.

I had my daughter bring the car into 2 separate places to have it tested today. What we found out is even more concerning: That CCA code of 550 they had on the receipt... wrong. While some cars have the 550 CCA battery, hers does not. THE first thing on the yellow battery sticker says 410 CCA. Since the recommendation of a new battery is based on the difference between the RATED CCA and the MEASURED CCA, the determination to the customer to change the battery is severely off if the wrong RATED CCA is used. So, with a RATED CCA of 410 and a MEASURED CCA of 385, her battery is working fine and there's no reason to replace it.

Also, both of the other places showed a MEASURED reading of 409 CCA, not 385 as Firestone had read. If this is how they normally test and recommend services to their customers, does that mean that any car without a 'standardized' CCA is told they need to replace their batteries? According to what just happened to us, the answer is Yes.

The manager agreed and then when he saw the wheel was a 16" wheel of a dually he told me that they cant even dismount the tire. Mount a new one OR balance it, BUT they could sell me a tire. I could not believe my ears. They cant work on a 16" wheel? I refrained from cursing the manager out and asked him if he's asking me to take my money elsewhere. He didnt comment. I left and went to a private garage who had the same tire in an hour and mounted and balanced while I waited since it was already off the Ford making it easy to "Fit in" for $20 LESS than the Firestone quote. I had to drive a trailer loaded with kid's suitcase's from my church over 65 miles on the highway to a camp in Indiana, leave it there and pick it up the following Mon. I brought my truck to Firestone of Lisle, IL on 2/11/2016 to have them check and repair the trailer connections and wiring on my Ford truck. I was told that they can do that. I told them to just replace everything. When I picked up the truck they had spliced a new 3 pin connection to the old wiring and left it dangling (not secured to the truck). The other, round connection, was not replaced. They told me they cleaned it up and that it should work. When I connected the trailer to the truck at about 4:00pm, the lights on the trailer did not work. I called Firestone and asked if I could bring it back and was told that there was no one available. I went to another place to try to get it fixed but they were closed by the time I got there at 5:00pm.

I had no choice but to drive the trailer with no brake, turn, etc. lights over 65 miles in the dark. The trailer was big enough to prevent anyone from seeing the lights on my truck. I had to go pick up the trailer that Mon. and did not want to take another chance driving on the highway with no lights, so on Sun morning at 11:30 when I should have been serving at my church for services, I went to Farm and Fleet in Montgomery, IL and they replaced everything, mounted it correctly and made sure all the lights worked. I did not want to take a chance of another poor job from Firestone. Those lights are very, very important. Firestone charged me $139 and did not repair the issues. Farm and Fleet charged my $60 and corrected all issues.

Firestone refuses to refund my money but instead want to issue me store credit. Why would I want to trust them to work on my truck again? On another occasion, they damaged my dashboard. They didn't say anything and left it for me to find. They said they would clean it but when I went back, it was not cleaned, but I needed the truck so I agreed to bring it back another day. Once again, it was not fully repaired and I was told to bring it back another day. While discussing the trailer issues with a rep from Firestone, he implied that I was lying about everything.

After only a few days the AC stopped working and on my way to Dallas from EL Paso the right driver side tire came completely off. The truck almost tip over because I was driving at about 65 MPH. I ended up being stranded in the middle of nowhere. I had to pay a large amount of money to get my truck towed. When I called forgotten and told them what had happen they told me to tow it there and they will see if they could fix it. Nevertheless they charge me for fixing some of the repair and they did not reimburse me for the town fees. I will never take any of my vehicles there again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND any Firestone stores to anyone.

I took my car to be checked by Firestone, and while in their care they damaged my car door and made many deep scratches in the door. The attendant claimed they did not do it, but the car had no outside damage before I brought the car to Firestone. The attendant Michael said he had incidents of damage to car before

and that he did it himself. These people are not truthful, I would never take my car there ever for anything. They have a history of damaging cars.

Location: Western North Carolina. PROS: The best customer service I've experienced in a long time, especially in the auto industry. I trusted the advisement given to me. At no point did I feel pressured or that I was getting swindled. The advisor was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things to me, which made me feel comfortable with what services I chose to get, and confident that the work done on my car would be reliable.

CONS: I had a 12:00 PM appointment. I arrived early, at 11:15 PM. It was estimated that the service would take a couple hours, so I decided to wait while the work was done. I didn't get out of there until after 4:30 PM. So, you might want to plan it as an all day affair, or just drop-off your vehicle instead. Despite that, I highly recommend doing business here.

In 2013, we had an oil change done and more. When we went to Acura for its checkup there was a crack that had caused leaking into the transmission. It cost me $1,000 to fix. As time went on the car that I paid for and took care was worth nothing. I had to trade in a $15,000 for $1,500. After reading other complaints Firestone does this on purpose so people can suffer. I will not EVER take my car here for service again.

On August 2015 I went to Southaven Firestone to get a oil change. In September of 2015 my car stopped on me twice - once going to work and later on coming from work a block from my house. I have talked to the General manager and they have told me that's it's not their problem. I have had three different mechanics & they all said I didn't have any oil in my car. There is no way that I can purchase a motor in October 01, 2015. I was diagnosed with 1st stage breast cancer. It has been hard for me trying to get to & from work. Now just want resolution.

I went to Firestone for routine oil changes and maintenance for 8 months since moving to the area. After my last oil change and service my car engine light came on. I took it back. They couldn't read the code so I had to go to the dealer. Come to find out that the oil which Firestone was changing was leaking into my transmission. It cost me 2140$ to have it repaired. Made contact with claims who stated "Well you had it repaired so we can't investigate and there is nothing we can do." So if you have a problem after a repair don't get it fixed or they will not do anything. Never again will I ever use Firestone.

2 hours pass and I still waiting on my car for a oil change and tire balance, but customers came in after me with tires purchase and alignment and their car was finish. High price services will be priority over low paying customers. Now I see why Firestone have 1-star rating, and I will give them 1 star for poor customer services.

I have made the appointment the previous day to change the oil in my car. I arrived at the time indicated, which was 11am. I spoke with the receptionist that I made a appointment to service my car. He asked my name and pulled my information out of the computer. He registered me and told to wait; that I will be next. I asked "how will that be?" His answer was that it shouldn't be long. My information were recorded on the computer at 11:02am. I was seating at the lobby and watching the preview of the NFL game. At noon, my car was not even pulled out of the parking lot. I went back to the receptionist and asked him what was going? I have never stayed in a place for more than 30 minutes to change oil. I stated my complaints and my dissatisfaction with the service. The guy explains to me something they were working took longer than expected.

I asked him "why was I never informed of that?" His reply was they should have and he apologized after wasting my time and telling that I will be next in line. At 12:38pm, I was called and he told that my car was ready, and didn't even bother to explain what was done in my car as I always experience with other company. It was the worst customer service that I have experience in an auto car service. I have no plan of returning to that place nor will I advise I know to go to that place. The mood was somber; the service was bad. Nothing was interesting or attractive in that place and I will advise people who ask me to avoid it. When I got to my car, I realized did not even bother the number of mileage before next oil change. The window of my car was dirty and smelled oil. Horrible Horrible! I don't even trust they have done the right thing with my car.

Tech installed a new battery and forgot to put the battery cover back on. So after driving my car a few miles a terrible plastic burning smell kept coming inside the car. Almost made me sick. My neighbor discovered after opening the hood that they had laid the cover on the engine and it fell back behind the engine.. so now I have this terrible plastic smell all the time. Took the burned cover back to Firestone and they said we can order a new one but COULD NOT do anything about the burning plastic smell. This is what the customer service rep said and did not offer to have a tech look at it. I again ask what they could do when I picked up the new cover but got the same answer. I have lost confidence in this Firestone store and will not go there again after using them for 11 years. I am 76 years old and rely on their assistant instead I have to drive my car with this terrible sickening smell all winter.

I went in to a local Kalamazoo, MI. Firestone service center on a Tuesday for a new battery. The next day I went to a different Firestone service center also in Kalamazoo, MI. for a new set of tires. While putting the new tires on they performed a courtesy check of my car. They told me my battery was reading low and I needed to watch it. I told them I just bought it from the other Firestone location right down the road the day before. They said I should take it back to them the next day and have them check it just to be sure.

The store that sold me the battery with a 3 year replacement warranty would not check the battery and just said the other store was wrong. THEY NEVER LOOKED OR CHECKED THE BATTERY. Since I bought the battery from Firestone, either store could have taken care to make sure the battery was ok and replace if needed. Neither store want anything to do with it. Now I have a new possibly junk battery that I paid $160.00 for and Firestone won't do anything for me.

Made an appointment for 8 am and half an hour after 8 the car still had not been taken in. I needed one of my tires checked (that they put on previously) because it had been flat. Unfortunately the earliest appointment allowed was at 8, making it then because I had to be to work at 9. This is not the first problem I've had at Firestone. The first time I came here I had another flat tire that needed to be replaced. They did not have the tire at the store so they got it from (understandable). What is not understandable is why they got it from somewhere that is only 30-45 minutes away and me being there for 7 hours.

Had oil changed on my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 with 5.9 Cummins diesel. Oil filter ended up coming off driving down the road 5 days after having oil changed. Motor started knocking and before I could get off the road, the motor locked up. Reported it to Firestone. They reviewed it for two weeks and told me it's impossible for oil filter to come off. They said me or someone had to unscrew it. They're not taking responsibility for it. Said I want, I can take them to court.

My mom took her car the next day after I had my oil changed. They changed her back brakes and drums. When she left the store. Driving down the road and started to stop and was hearing a knocking noise from bad end. She took it back for them to look at it. They checked it out. And fixed their mistake and told my mom, "The drums is like your wheel. It needed to be balanced." Lol. She is 70 yrs old. Lol! Covering their butts. They're a big company and I'm just one person. Diesel Works of where I had truck towed to said it's not impossible for oil filter to come off. It's going to be about $13000 to fix truck.

The tech Pat seems to have an issue taking too many jobs at a time delaying what could be better customer service. After 2 hours our tires were not even on. I'm told he's been here 30 years. How can he not know how long he takes on his jobs? Someone needs to address the issue with his work or continue to get complaints about poor service. My son, granddaughter and I have waited but... It should have been done. Now going on three hours. BTW the sales reps were great having to explain the service.
