I called the local Firestone Complete Auto Location to inquire about an oil change. Mark told me he could fit me in today. I went and dropped my truck off at 9:45. He told me he 'would let me know when it's ready.' That was it. I left and walked to the local shops to kill time. I call Mark at 11:20 to see how it was going and he told me it wasn't even close and it would be done at 2-3pm! I went back to get my truck as I couldn't wait that long and I recommended to Mark that he tells customers how long it will be. He said he told me early afternoon. Complete lie. If he told me that, I would not have gone there to begin. I had been going to this Firestone location for years and never had this happen. The most I had to wait was 2 hours. A little bit communication would be appreciated.

I used Firestone Complete Auto Care in Powell, TN. My first impression was okay but the price for repairs quoted were outrageous! I was charged $ 409.96 for a front brake job! Get this. They didn't even put new rotors on the vehicle and just used the same ones and turned them instead of putting new $69 each rotors on instead; charging me $249.96 for turning them and polishing them up. Sure they look new but they're not. $961.00 + tax for all the services I had done! Here's what they did.
$409 brake job! No new rotors! $361 tune up! $149 ac service. $52 tire rotation and balance! $27 oil change which is okay. $9 ac check, fine. $9 vehicle inspection. PARTS COST GET THIS $561.!!! Where did this price come from? Labor was 399 which is fair I guess? But look at the parts cost!? No new rotors! I got brake pads, new spark plugs, ac coolant and dye check. Fuel system decarbonization. I feel ripped off by firestone complete auto care! Firestone themselves should return my money for the parts I didn't get! Do not take your vehicle to this place/You'll regret going there like I do!

I asked them what they would charge for simply replacing one spark plug and the ignition coil above it and they said they would charge $275. I asked if that could be reduced if I provided the parts and they refused to do so, saying it is policy not to use any but what they would source. So after buying said parts myself for approx. $75, it literally took 10 minutes to do the actual work, unscrewing the 2 pieces and screwing in the new ones. How they can justify $200 for 10 minutes of actual work is disgusting.

Went to Firestone store #678961 on Saturday 04/24/3021 had spark plugs replaced, gasket, and fuel injection. Shawn stated diagnostic person was not there. Went back on Monday and the service manager stated the diagnostic person works Tuesday-Saturday and I advised him I was just there on Saturday. Spent over $800 and that was not even the problem with the car. Go to another Firestone location and they stated the diagnostic person was there but would not be able to provide service because the lead mechanic was not in... Then went to a 3rd Firestone location and they stated my coils were bad and wanted to charge me another $800... That's just ridiculous... didn't even taken into consideration I just literally spent over $800 not even 48hrs ago... Made a complaint with corporate and stated area or district manager would call and no one has called...

I've been with Firestone for over 5 years. I used Firestone card to purchase tires. I then went online to set payment plan to payoff tires, however you can only set their program to make payments for 6 months at a time. If you don't remember to go back out and reset you will be charged with high fees, reduced credit limit, and credit problems; and know I did not get one call to remind me that my 6 month payment schedule had expired. What credit card company does that!! Stay away from this credit card.

Took my Truck to Store 27855 to get two front tires replaced. When I got my truck back the next day there was grease hand prints all over the exterior and interior of my truck including the leather seats which is a pain to clean, went to operate my power folding mirrors and found out that someone manually pry them in and out damaging both, contacted the dealer on both issues & only requested them to take care of the mirrors trying to be nice, was told the Manager was gonna contact me. 3 days went by no contact was made.
I decide to call & speak with the manager (Hose) & he instantly put up resistance, tried saying they didn't do it & even if they did the mirrors wouldn't be damaged, contacted corporate & area manager who told me they are gonna have the problems fixed, Asst manager (Steve) contacted me & sent me a written confirmation to get truck repaired and I will be refunded, went ahead and got the quote and parts for the repair, now they do not want to refund me the money & it's a back and forth game. The mirrors are not returnable and all I was asking was for them to pay for parts nothing else. I'm being treated like crap by Hose and Steve but I’m not stopping here. I will do EVERYTHING I have to do so this does not keep happening to others because reading other reviews it seems like a common practice.

Would've been gave more Stars, but my experience was very unfortunate. Met and spoke with a Danny, he ensured me what I needed was going to get done, discounts etc... I was sold. Due to Firestone in house drama, the females there were rude, switch orders, danny fired, and my vehicle not fixed, went to pick up after paying over $1,100 2 days later my vehicle crashed out, investigation started, they severed my break lines, I paid to fix, they didn't replace my 02 sensors which was the initial problem me and Danny figured out I've been known though, and almost lost my life coming from work interstate **.
Law suit on its way. I'll post receipt to those who saw similar experience and we'll get our money back and go elsewhere. Brandon explained it all at pickup and hoped the work got done for the females knew nothing of vehicles but had the nerve to be rude and messed up my truck and order. No lights, no breaks, no sensors. If they don't do the type of work I needed they should've let me go somewhere else. There was no need to do me and my truck like this, sooo if I can law suit or they fix it, more likely give me my money back.

Greg is the manager here, and he and his team are outstanding. 10 years no problems. Well Greg isn't in today but you know is....George is! (I'll take this post down once it's handled). George thought he'd be cute and try to tell me I needed a whole new caliper because he couldn't find a "bolt". Grand total for oil change, bolt for my caliper, and rotate my tires....$650+. Adorable George seemed to not realize I didn't need a caliper and that rotating tires is free since, ya know, I've been buying tires from this shop for a decade. He also seemed to forget the hilarious fact that I live 1 block up the hill and decided to come by to see this special bolt so I could walk the 100 ft to the hardware store across the street and get one for $2.
Adorable George forgot a lot of things like the fact that I worked in a garage on Overhaulin for 8 years. Oh George is hilarious and I'm sure the adorable comedian George has been been playing this joke on a ton of people who can't afford to get his very expensive sense of humor. After calling him on the whole "Bolt gate" scandal new total was $500. Evidently George had another joke on standby that rotating tires cost $400 extra. That one went over great. Anyways, new total is now $100. I'll go ahead and give him the punchline he won't forget for his next comedy special. Ready for it. Let's see if George still has a job by the time he reads this and I ask firestone to go through every client he's helped to see if he's stolen from them as well. I'm sure he'll think this is a bundle of giggles.
Jokes aside....I hate dishonestly, especially when it has to do with cars. All of us need our car to provide for our families or just to get to work, and this loser has been trying to scam people. The guy is so dumb he didn't realize I was baiting him. He was asking really odd questions and I couldn't believe he was digging, trying to see if I knew anything about cars.... Sure George, I don't even know what kind of F150 I have or the year....even though you can see I've owned 3 over the last decade! Yeah the 240lb pick up truck driver won't know what a bolt costs or where to get it.
Well he was hoping I was an idiot so I let him think I was... Who is the idiot now George? :) Still think this is funny? Again, GREG is not there right now and the other Mechanic Whitney which is also awesome did not know he was doing this at least to my knowledge. I'm going to take this down as soon as I speak with Greg or at least edit it. This mechanic is not a reflection of the team there or the last 10 years I've been going.

On March 17, 2021 I had Firestone Complete Auto Care in Richland Washington service my vehicle. I had multiple tires put on an alignment done and oil change and now two days later after putting 49 miles on my vehicle since they released my vehicle after service My motor has Seized along with all the evidence showing that all the work they said they did was not actually done such as balancing the tires along with charging $22 for a complete vehicle inspection.
Obviously they did not complete or I would not have had absolutely no oil in my vehicle. As of right now I Have no means of transportation. They are not offering me any compensation to get me by as I spent my last of my savings getting my car serviced by them. There is photo evidence showing brand new synthetic oil dripping from the entire undercarriage of my vehicle along with documented test results from the Ford dealership that show that they did not complete the tire work that they charged me for nor did they do any kind of inspection.

Another day I noticed that one of my tires slowly loses air. I then took my car to Firestone on Lee Rd in Shaker Hts. Came there first thing in the morning and it was diagnosed as a rim leak (alloy wheels). The necessary repairs were done while I waited, and I am just as happy. The price was very reasonable; the other shops charge more than double for the same job and take longer or you have to drop your wheel off. Here everything was done in under half an hour. I highly recommend this shop.

This is for my mom, who is 74 and brought in her 2007 dodge nitro to this place. She told them she wanted to get rid of the numerous warning lights, replace one cracked wheel (she brought a new one), fix one window (the mechanism broke), repair one door (can't open from inside), fix a rear signal which is shorting out and worked intermittently, and get a tune-up because the truck was stuttering between 1000 and 1600 rpm. She had a well-written list to hand them. And she did, speaking to the man in charge, Josh.
$130 "courtesy check"
$102 to "inspect" the doors
$68 to fix the brake lights
$26 to replace the wheel
And more for tuneup & battery.
As you see, for $232 they just looked at it. And did nothing. Because... When she came to my place I found all the emergency lights are still on. They didn't fix the door or window. The signal still didn't work. They put the WRONG wheel on. And the truck STILL stuttered at low rpm. It gets better. When they put the WRONG wheel on, they STRIPPED THREE OF THE BOLTS! The "technician" probably started with the impact wrench instead of by hand, like one is supposed to. You know, he had to hurry up to ** somebody else over with gross incompetence.
This was discovered when I took her truck to have a complete set of new wheels installed at a local brake & tire shop a day later. As I stood there shooting the breeze with the mechanic, three bolts would not come off the wheel firestone installed (remember, the wrong wheel. They left the cracked wheel on). They just turned and turned and wouldn't come off. Bad news. So I went and ordered five new nuts and bolts from Advance Auto up the road, which arrived the next day. $50 to fix their ineptitude.
To recap so far: They let a kind old lady who lives 45 miles away through winding -- sometimes switchback -- roads drive off with a cracked wheel and another with two working nuts & bolts barely holding it on with inoperable signals and a stuttering truck motor after pocketing over 600 bucks. But wait, there's more! I called the corporate number and asked to speak to the district manager about all this. The man on the phone sounded concerned and promised this manager man, named Michael, would call within 48 hours. Five days later, I called again and was told the "regional" manager, based in Nashville, would call soon. That was Monday. Today is Saturday. 8PM. If you take your car to this place, or any firestone, and you have read this review, you are a fool. Don't be a dumb**. Go somewhere, anywhere else. You'll be glad you did.

I called my dad a little upset because I needed to get my tire fixed on a Sunday and couldn't be late for work. STAY AWAY!!!! This establishment is NOT trustworthy. I took my car in for a standard oil change and state inspection. During the inspection they up-sold me and asked if I wanted to replace the battery (my mistake for agreeing). I check out, and the manager says they failed my inspection because they replaced the battery... Um, what? They should have done the inspection and then replaced the battery, but okay… This is mildly annoying. I leave to get in my car and notice the computer screen isn't turning on... I take the car back and they admit to doing it... (Great right? They did the damage, take responsibility and agree to fix it.. THINK AGAIN...).
So they take the car to the back and spend a long time trying to figure out what happened.. They couldn’t, so they said to take it to the Lexus dealership and get a quote for the repair and if it's inexpensive enough they'll pay for it themselves, but if it's something expensive it’ll have to be paid through insurance. They assure me that Firestone will reimburse me for the diagnostic when I take it to Lexus… Lexus determines the radio head is fried... Lexus informed me this happens when wires are crossed during a battery install… Makes sense. So we go back to Firestone with this information. They send out an inspector who provides a report saying there was “no correlation between the services they provided and the current problem”.
The store manager, Ryan, has now back-tracked and is refusing to compensate for the damages. Keep in mind, they admitted to doing the damage at the time and even described in detail what happened. The car went in fine and came out damaged. I know it, the mechanics know it, and the manager knows it (they deny it now)… This establishment does NOT have the ethics, integrity or accountability to stand behind their work.

(UPDATE 01/16/2021) 100 hours after contact with corporate no call from regional or district managers or store manager. No idea what's going on. Called corporate. Was told to give them until next Saturday (01/23/2021). On 05/06/2020 I sent my car in to have the engine replaced in it. I paid $2,496.70 for everything. On 05/14/2020 I got it back. On 06/17/2020 (day before my birthday hard to forget) I called in complaining about the rod knock. They said "come on in and we will replace the engine but you will need to pay for the engine and labor and that they may not have a motor for me in general." On 07/01/2020 my oil pan needed to be replaced but at the same time my newly installed engine had a Rod knock already (oil changes and maintained was kept receipts kept as well). So I told them about it and paid $1,115.99 for the oil pan and a full diagnostics of the car and for them to check out the rod knock.
On 07/02/2020 I got my car and diagnostics back. I was told they heard no rod knock even though it was clear as day easy to be heard. But they would replace it but all costs were on me. On Tuesday Jan 12th 2021 my motor completely seized up and I had it towed in. I called Bay Road Firestone in Saginaw, Michigan in regards to this matter. They checked my file and stated they had no idea where this engine came from and what warranty it had if any (I have all phone calls recorded with them).
Let's go back 1 day Monday Jan 11th 2021. I called bay road location to inquire about my car's rod knock. Got worse. They were closed for covid issues so state street location answered and said I had a 6 month warranty and that it's a Jasper engine. Let's fast forward back to Jan 12th 2021. 4 hours after the car was dropped off Bay Road Firestone called me and said that the car definitely had a rod knock and that they don't have a engine for me and all of a sudden the engine now has a 45 day warranty from date of purchase. But as far as I'm concerned the 12mo 12k mile nationwide warranty provided by corporate Firestone should be sufficient enough right?
Well I called corporate Tuesday Jan 12th 2021. I was told to expect a call from a local upper management person named Jason. Well it's been over 48 hours well over so I called corporate back and questioned it. Now I am waiting 48 more hours to hear from another manager.... I feel like I'm being screwed right now. Firestone is holding my car and stalling until their Nationwide warranty expires. I am at 8 mo out of 12 from the warranty and 5,600 miles out of 12,000 miles for the warranty qualifications.
I've worked for shops. I know the runaround scheme and Firestone is playing that game. Firestone could not care less about the fact that my currently only vehicle to drive around with and go to work with is now totally dead at the fault of Firestone not mine! I have every call, every email and every receipt all saved and loaded on a flash drive with hundreds of copies. I want my car fixed! I want it back or my money back!!! Everything was paid in cash!!

I have been a loyal Firestone customer for over 7 years. The particular Firestone location near me has been the worst one I have been in and dealt with by far. I took my car in to have the tires checked, oil changed, brakes checked, and fluids topped off. What ended up happening is they broke a bolt while doing a tire alignment that was on my car. One that was important to my steering and suspension. The parts they needed to fix because of this mistake weren't going to come in until the next morning. That is our only vehicle and my husband has to get to and from work in the military. That's not a job you can call off from because you don't have a car! I had to make other arrangements to get my husband and son home which cost extra money on top of the fixes!
They then told me they would get me a rental so I was relieved and asked Rachel (the lady behind the counter) if they would stick a hold on my card in order to take the rental. I informed her I did not have enough money to pay for a hold. She informed me they would not. However I got to the rental company and they had to stick a 50 dollar hold on my card that I didn't have! I was denied the rental and after they called and talked to Rachel she lied and said she told me there would be a hold and I was out of luck.
I had sat in Firestone for 9 hours through all of this and then I was stuck at the car rental place with no mode of transportation for me or my husband. Thankfully the car rental company took me home. I then had to find a ride back today to get my car and found out that they are making me pay for the parts they broke! I am furious and speaking to the manager just made me even angry. Due to them screwing me I will never be back to that location again. They are just awful.

On October 16, 2020, I took my 2017 BMW X5 in for an oil change at Firestone Auto on W. WT Harris Blvd. in Charlotte, NC. I had typically only gotten service at the BMW dealership but decided to try here after a friend had his BMW serviced at a Firestone. While in the shop, a tune up was mentioned and I decided to allow them to do the tune up as I had recently hit 85K and figured it would be good for scheduled maintenance. After hours of waiting for the oil change and tune up, the technician gave me my keys, cashed me out ($700) and I pulled my car out of the parking lot, only for my engine to be misfiring and unable to accelerate.
I returned to the shop within a minute's time as I pulled out and turned right back around. The manager told me they used aftermarket spark plugs and figured that could be the reason why (which later came out that they were too long, hence the cylinder head impact damage). They then called the BMW dealership to order spark plugs and they replaced the aftermarket plugs with the ones from the dealership. The engine then got worse. I ended up having to leave my car there overnight. I came in the next morning, already upset about the situation, and the technician told me they put my original spark plugs back In to see if that would correct the situation and it continued to not run properly.
My car was taken to them in superior condition as noted on the previous inspection notes and video from the last visit to the dealer. Firestone then let me know that they had already scheduled me a rental car and towed my vehicle to the dealership. They put me in a BMW X3, only to call me two hours later and say that I had to return it because they would not cover that amount and tried to place me in a Hyundai Elantra. After expressing how upset I was, they agreed to cover an SUV. Over the course of the past SIX WEEKS, they have been covering a rental vehicle for me.
Fast forward a couple weeks, after multiple inspections from firestone's independent inspectors as well as BMW, and a partial tear down of the engine, BMW determined that the engine needed to be replaced ($26.2K) and their inspector concurred. There were metal shavings throughout the entire engine, as well as the oil filter (mind you, Firestone also did an oil change). The dealership also noted that THE OIL WAS LOW. The oil drained from the car was completely filled with metal shavings and gave a sparkly look when a light was shined on it. Despite the dealer and inspector's findings, Firestone has continued to request a full tear down of the engine or they would not pay for the repair.
Monday, November 16, 2020, BMW notified me that they would not be completing a complete tear down because there was enough conclusive evidence to show that the engine needed replacement and they would be closing the ticket. Due to the build of the engine, the intense amount of labor, and the findings that had already been noted, they did not feel it was necessary. Moving forward to November 18, I received a call from the claims rep stating that because BMW would not do the tear down, I had two options. They could offer 10K to HELP with the repair or have it towed to another BMW dealer that would complete the tear down. No dealership or shop has agreed to do the tear down due to the SAME reasons already reported by THE DEALERSHIP.
This is absolutely ridiculous! How can the claim rep agree with the fact that this is their fault and there is enough evidence and proceed to say, “well management says we still must have the tear down!” For the second time, now that we are in another month, I am making payments on a vehicle that FIRESTONE DESTROYED and I am unable to enjoy due to their negligence. The claims rep told me that he would call me by the end of the day on 11/18 and I NEVER (and still haven’t) heard from him!
Firestone’s website touts that their techs are certified to work on BMW’s and this proves WHY FIRESTONE IS A TERRIBLE AUTO SHOP! If they did not know what they were doing, they should not have agreed to the work! Other than a rental car and the run around, I have not received consistent communication, a repaired vehicle, NOR A REFUND FOR THE POOR $700 SERVICE JOB THEY WERE ORIGINALLY PAID TO DO! The last conversation with the claims rep said “I know it’s unfair, but management....” I have called 5 or more times each day, and left messages since 11/18 AND NOT ONE PHONE CALL RETURNED!
I feel as though I have been very patient and civil in giving them a chance to correct this issue! As a public school teacher, I work very hard for EVERY dollar that I earn and I will not be jaded by the big company crap! I do applaud the Store Manager, Rebecca for her efforts. She was very nice and professional throughout this terrible experience.

I am extremely disappointed and upset with the experience I recently had at Firestone, located at 1689A Post Rd, Warwick, RI. On November 2, 2020 I had my 2005 Toyota Sienna towed in for service, as we needed our water pump replaced. I called ahead and spoke with ** and explained what was going on. He said that he would be able to take a look at it in the morning and confirm if it was the water pump. Tuesday 11/3 towards the end of the day, I had to reach out to ** as I had heard nothing about the vehicle. He informed me at that time, they had to do another test in the morning to confirm that it was the water pump, and he would be in touch.
On Wednesday 11/4 around 830am, ** calls to tell me that my water pump does need to be replaced and explains that it is a 5-hour job and gives me a quote. I give approval to go ahead and replace the water pump by 930am that morning. I hear nothing all day. Now they are open until 7 pm at night. I was under the impression that the job would be done, or I would have heard back from **, as communication is a big part of customer service. I call Thursday morning asking a timeline on when my vehicle will be ready, I get attitude and push back and am told it should be done by 12pm no sooner. I get a call that the car is ready. I now Uber down to pick up my vehicle. I go in to pay and get my keys. I go and start my Van. It turns over and starts to chug, not feeling or sounding right, so I press on the gas.
Now I am still in park, I have not even put my can into reverse to pull away. Suddenly the check engine light comes on along with every other light on the dash. After 2 and half days for a 5-hour job on a car, this is not how I want to receive my car back. I shut it off and return inside. I explain what just happened and how upset I am. They use the computer to check what the error codes read. Come to find out they must keep the vehicle to redo the whole job because the timing was off. At this point ** comes to speak to me and says that Toyotas have issues when the batteries are taken out. Which made no sense. I asked the other service tech if this was going to be another 5 hours? He says it will be another two days, but don’t worry it's all covered. Except I have no car, and now I am without a vehicle for another 2 days for a 5-hour job?
Not only that but I run a small local business and need a vehicle to take care of our customers. I was offered a ride home and that was it. It wasn’t until I got home did I realize that without my authorization, Firestone took it upon themselves to change my timing belt which still had close to 20,000 mile left on it before needing to be changed. Since doing an unauthorized service on our vehicle, we went 10 days with no car for a 5-hour job. After leaving my car at Firestone in Warwick on Thursday 11/5 since it was not properly fixed and they replaced a timing belt that was not authorized, instead of getting my car back that day or Friday, I did not get it back until the following Thursday. I called Sunday to find out what was going on, only to find out the store had been shut down due to lift issues on Saturday.
Not one person called to explain what was going on. I got directed to speak to another Firestone location. I spoke with a manager named ** who was able to at least help my family and myself get a rental and reimbursed some for the rental I had since the 11/5 when they originally had not fixed the vehicle properly. Never did I hear from the manager ** to explain anything. Even the rental company was confused as how long I was to have the rental. This whole situation took place because they did unauthorized work on our vehicle. Our vehicle was taken to another Firestone to be fixed on Tuesday 11/10. It should have been fixed on 11/5 or 11/6 the latest.
When I tried to confront ** about the unauthorized work done that resulted in being without a vehicle for 10 days, he told me basically, that anyone would be stupid not to replace the timing belt when replacing the water pump. As stated, I had another 20,000 miles until that needed to be changed, that is 2 years for most folks. And last I checked it was our vehicle and we should have a say as to what is done. I explained how the lack of communication was unbelievably bad customer service and that no one called to explain anything. He came at me saying his Service tech told him he called me. Which never happened. He was demeaning and intimidating and didn’t want to hear anything I had to say.
I called customer service for Firestone that night 11/12 to put a complaint in as no one should be allowed to do work that was unauthorized, which resulted in 10 day without a car and no communication on what was happening. The customer service stated that the local Area Manager ** would be reaching out. I received and email asking, “When was a good time to speak?” I responded with a time. Instead of getting the phone call, so I could have this concern and issue addressed, she responded with a one sentence email stating “that she was informed that a refund was processed at that the store last night so you should be all set, Thanks.” I responded with the explanation that clearly she did not get, that it was not a refund, that I was receiving a partial payment to cover the cost of the rental I had from Thursday until Monday when Firestone finally got a rental to us.
And that there was a much larger issues and I would prefer a phone call to speak on the matter. As of today, which is 11/23/20 I have never heard from her or from her boss **. I have called customer care multiple times to try and have this issue resolved and yet no one calls. It seems to be that Firestone has horrible customer service and will do work that is unauthorized and make you the consumer pay for the that work. This is very unprofessional and illegal to do. It also shows their lack of professionalism and how little they care about their customers. I would stay clear of any Firestone’s. Do not go to the one on 1689A Post Rd Warwick RI. I am still waiting for a resolution to this matter. I am extremely disappointed and feel as though myself and my family were taken advantage of.
Sincerely,Rachel

I do Search & Rescue and in the middle of an operation my starter went out on my vehicle. Towed to Silverdale WA location, only to wait 4 hours & told to go home. The next day I was told problem was a wire to Starter and would I agree to $370 charge to repair. I had already taken a taxi back to hotel in another city, rented a U-haul truck and took taxi back to get truck. Upon reaching my hotel, my truck would not start. I had to pay for another tow and waited several days for call that it was my starter was out. Now it would cost another $360 to repair! I called and asked for District manager for callback, not once but 3 times! Still no reply. Here is what sign says in lobby: Does Firestone guarantee their work?
We promise that the services we perform will be fixed right the first time. If the automotive repair or service was performed improperly, then we will re-perform the service at no additional charge to you, during the established warranty period. I paid amount before I could have vehicle released and with the charges from them, taxi fares and rental truck, I'm looking at $800 out of pocket. I feel since I told them my Starter needed to be replaced to begin with, all these added charges are unacceptable. None of the free service checks offered were done in addition to repair, and their delay in communication could have cost someone their life. After reading these reviews of terrible customer service, it's easier for me to dispute charges through my bank than wait for them to address my complaint. I myself will not do business with a company that lacks responses in calls to their corporate headquarters.

This is my 3rd state that I moved to for Government Service and every time I visit a Firestone, I always receive great service. There was only one negative incident I experienced and I can say after posting the review, I was immediately contacted. So today, I’m posting a positive review for the Amarillo, Texas location on Coulter Road. This is my second visit since moving here and on my 1st visit I learned I would need tires. Knowing there would a special on tires the following month, I chose to wait. Roland confirmed the promotion and offered to call me the next month. I was surprised to receive a call as promised. The front crew personnel are great and personable. This will be my new location as long as I am a resident. Bravo Zulu!!!

I showed up at 3:30 pm, an hour early for my 4:30 pm appointment and they got my vehicle right in. Only issue was while they were dismounting my old tires a TPMS Sensor was broken. This happens, I've broken them myself dismounting tires, the problem is they said it broke when tire went flat. I disagree, I didn't drive on a flat tire. The tire started to go flat sitting in a parking lot and never moved until the spare was put on. Best guess the TPMS Sensor will cost anywhere from $50 to $100.
So far I have been here 2 hrs, it is now 5:30 pm and my vehicle is still on a lift without tires. I am suppose to be having the oil changed, tires replaced and aligned. 6:30 pm, it now been 3 hrs, tires are on and oil has been changed. Alignment in process. 6:45pm all is done, was charged $79.95 for TPMS Sensor, but was given a $20 discount on alignment. Overall experience wasn't that great, and I still don't like spending the extra $60 for something they broke. Update: as of now, none of my TPMS SENSORS are working. My time is worth as much if not more than theirs, will call them in the morning. Take away another star.
10/29/2020. I show up at the store by 7 am and tell them my sensors are not working. They scan them and tell me they need to replace 2 more sensor. But will have to come back later to change them out. I show up later and after awhile the manager tells me to go to a toyota dealership and have them reset the entire system and he will reimburse the cost, plus the $60 I had complained about. I make an appointment at Toyota for the next day.
10/30/2020. I show up at toyota service department and am informed that the sensors that had been replaced are not compatible with my vehicle and they will have to be replaced. $500. I call the manager at Firestone and he says he's not willing to pay that amount. After a short phone argument he says get it fixed. A little while later the service manager at toyota informs me that the whole system has been corrupted or overwritten by the tool used at Firestone, and now the cost to replace all sensors and reprogram the TPMS-ECU will be $900. When does this end. My vehicle now sits at the Toyota dealership and I am out multiple hours of work all from a simple tire change.
11/05/2020. Final Bill at toyota was $767. I returned to firestone to get reimbursed. Manager paid the $60 for the original broken sensor but declined paying the toyota bill of $767 and said he would file a claim with firestone and I was to be paid by them. It's been 5 days now and I have heard nothing back from Firestone Customer Service other than an email saying I will be contacted within 48 hrs. Not Happy at all. Take away the final Star!

I was referred to the Firestone on 4712 Blanding Blvd in Jacksonville FL 32210 on 10/08/20 for an alignment. When I got there I asked for an oil change as well; I got there at 4:56pm. ** who works the front counter advised me the technician wasn’t able to do the alignment; he said he tried but couldn’t get it done. ** said I could come back Tuesday when ** gets back; he said the technician finishing up with the oil change. I left there at 6:07pm they was closing the shop. I’m driving I get to a red light I see smoke coming from under my hood; at first I thought it was the car behind me. I continue and the smoke coming from my hood is really bad; and my car smelled like something burning. I couldn’t take my car back to them because Firestone was closed. I thought the technician spilled some oil and it will burn off; the next morning I notice something coming from under my car.
I called Firestone spoke with **; he provided me with his cellphone to send pictures of what was going from under my car. He said a tow truck was on the way to my house to pick my car up... I let the tow truck driver see the fluid leaking from under my car. Marcus called and said they cleaned the mess up they made and he see the problem; he said the leak was because of my rack and pinion. His next statement I can give you a quote for us to fix it. I told Marcus when I bought my car there I did not have a leak. I checked my power staring fluid and it’s nothing in there that was the fluid leaking from my car. When the technician tried to do the alignment he did something incorrectly which caused the power steering fluid to leak out.
I called corporate. So did my brother. Firestone finally sent an independent investigator out on the 26th to inspect my car. The investigator clearly said to me without being there I can’t say exactly what they did but it had to do with the alignment. I called Jim in the insurance claim department; he said, "Firestone will not be paying to fix your car because the investigator said it didn’t happen with the alignment." A rack and pinion for my car 2009 E350 Mercedes Benz cost about $300 to repair... It’s been three weeks still without my car.

Service technicians don’t take the time to over check the job they completed, I’ve noticed they only do what is written on the invoice and not even check to make sure that it is done correctly. When technicians gets into customer’s vehicle they are not serious about cleanliness of the customer car, the technicians need to put in paper mats to keep from putting oil and grease stains on the floorboards and they also need to wash their hands before entering customer’s vehicle to keep oil and grease stains off of the interior and steering wheel also. They also have told me that they fixed a issue with my vehicle and they actually did not fix the problem. I’ve had numerous experiences with this in my vehicle and it needs to be addressed to all technicians at Firestone.

When I first decided to make them my permanent mechanics they went over entire car with a magnifying glass and they found over 2500$ worth of stuff wrong... I have since got half of the things supposedly fixed. Now...6 months later I am still having problems. I was told to replace the tires. I did. (700$ including labor.) I get regular oil changes yet nobody noticed I had an oil leak until today. I had the aircon serviced... Now 4 months later they said I need a compressor.. (Why was this not noticed before?) Plus now they say I need an oil cover replacement at over 400$.. Again why was this not noticed before? They had my car last weekend. The entire weekend and then told me they couldnt find a thing wrong.,, Now all of a sudden the mgr has found all of these.
I realize they have to make money but this is happening much too often. I'm in Durham, NC store on University Drive and they are killing me with everything they keep finding wrong on my 2009 Subaru Forrester. Something is not right here. I smell foul play. If I wasnt under credit card account I would never return. I am a fair person but Firestone employees treated me like my time didnt matter and I was nothing to them. I advise anybody reading this review to take your vehicle elsewhere if you dont want to get robbed.

Hey, I am not the type to even write reviews but this warranted one. Almost 6 months ago, I took my wife's BMW X1 to Firestone, located in Richmond, Virginia (4910 W Broad St.) because it started smoking. I ran a diagnostics test on it and it stated that it had one oil leak. I got it towed to BMW in Richmond and they ran a diagnostic and they provided good detail and came to find out that it had multiple oil leaks and other issues. Long story short, the bill is close to 6,000. I decided to do a claim because the persons at Firestone couldn't even return my washer fluid cap back on (which I still don't have). So it made me think, if they can't even do that correct, then what are they doing underneath the hood. Come to find out, when I was submitting the claim for the BMW, they were not doing the oil change correctly; which made me to believe that it started causing other issues.
Fast forward to now, they denied my claim and reported that they would not be paying for anything despite knowing that they did not do the oil changes correctly for two years straight and despite knowing that the diagnostics that they ran at Firestone wasn't even remotely comparable to the diagnostics at BMW. I receive a phone call from "Sr. Claims Specialist" **, located in 200 4th Ave South, Nashville for her just to try to spit all of these words at me like I don't know anything just to say they were not going to pay for anything. Then she proceeds to tell me that, "We never did a diagnostics at Firestone," not knowing that I have all of the paperwork and a very vivid memory. When I tell her we did two diagnostics in two years, she was like "Oh, yea. I see you did one in August and we have down a oil leak" (mind you the belt is bad, pump is bad and there's like 5 oil leaks). She said she would refund for the diagnostics.
I told her I don't need a refund and she had nothing else to say. Oh, last thing. I was told from her that they would have an inspector out to inspect the BMW within 3-5 business days. It had been two months of me emailing, calling, texting with the inspector, calling **'s boss and leaving a voicemail and she expects me to believe that this entire process was done correctly. Once the inspection was done, it took them less than 72 hours to call me to let me know that they will not pay for any damages. Insane.

Updated on 10/26/2020: I made an initial inquiry to this company over a month ago. I started at the original store with no results and worked my way up through the system, eventually getting to the corporate offices. I received a reply that stated that they would get back to me by 3 working days. I even left a voice message with the President of the company.
My initial complaint on ConsumerAffairs did get a response of "we will get back with you," but the time has passed and I have waited long enough. I will now share my issue across the social media world and expose either a totally incompetent group of customer service staff or an arrogant executive staff who feel that their customers are not worth the time and money needed to solve a simple issue. Any way you look at this it is unacceptable and reveals major performance issues with this company. They seem like bumbling fools at this point. Try to avoid doing business with Firestone if possible, there are plenty of other options from good local service to purchasing tires online!
Original Review: I had a minor complaint that I shared through 4 levels of management over 3 weeks. Not one response! I even left a voice mail with the company's president! Bad system or they simply don't care. My initial issue was a simple one, my wife went by a store to get some air in her Firestone bought tires. They refused stating that they had to do it in their bay. This is not consistent with years of doing business with them. They complained that customers ruined their equipment when I have never touched their equipment and as far as I know they have always simply pulled the hose out and filled my tires.
When I called the store the manager repeated what he had told my wife. I contacted the Customer care line and shared the story hoping that the Area Manager would contact me to either confirm this or not. Nothing in over a week so I called again and they assured me that they would share my concern with the Regional Manager, Again no response in over two weeks. I contacted the Customer Care line again and this time I was transferred to the President's voice mail, once again no response. I can affirm that there is a lack of Customer Care/Service at Firestone from the local store up through management and ending at the Executive level. This is unacceptable and I will now take my auto care needs somewhere else and share this story with as many others who want to listen.

I will never go to Firestone ever again, and I recommend that you dont either. I took my car to this location, and shortly after I left my car starting making this slight grinding sound. I couldnt figure out what it was, and a few days later it ended up breaking multiple components of my car. I submitted a claim, and immediately started being bullied by the person handling the claim. It was obvious he was trying to push me into admitting fault, accusing me the entire time of breaking it myself and trying to get money from them. He said they would have an inspector to come look at the damages, and that he would be in contact with me. It took weeks for the inspector to reach out to me and set up an appointment, this whole time Im without a car.
When the inspector finally comes and looks at my car, he spends about 40 minutes inspecting and talking to me about how he feels it was firestone's fault, he also pointed out multiple flaws that contradict what firestone claims. He leaves, and I dont hear anything for weeks again, still I am without a car. Eventually I get an email saying my claim was denied without any actual reason why. I text the inspector asking if I could call him when he has a chance, he asks who is texting, and after I tell him who I am he never responds again.
Ive since tried calling him multiple times, and it goes straight to voicemail, but not on any other phones. Im suspecting he got some kind of pay out to lie about the inspection, and then blocked my phone number. Firestone, and the inspector, are very shady and untrustworthy. The claims department has the worst service I've ever experienced before. My case has still not been resolved and Im still having to pay for the damages out of my pocket. I will be posting this review to more websites, avoid Firestone at all costs.

I went to Firestone to have them put in a new alternator in my 2004 Jaguar X Type 3.0 ltr. According to Autozone the alternator was bad (that's a whole different story). After they changed it out, Rick said it was not the alternator and claimed it had to do with the wiring having a short or something. HE RECOMMENDED I GO TO Nasa Automotive Electronics to get a diagnostic test done. $68.00. Now note, since I left firestone, the battery light is now always on.
Nasa Automotive electronics said, AFTER HAVING THE CAR FOR 7 HOURS, it is the alternator. THE CAR NEEDS A OEM ALTERNATOR or the regulator was bad, and sent me back to Firestone. Rick at Firestone said we put in the same alternator that was in the car, and that it was not the alternator. Then he made a call to somebody, don't know who, but all of a sudden he said the car needs a oem alternator and that it would cost me an additional $300.00 to install it if I supplied them with a oem original alternator!
1. Why would you not ask me ahead of time if I wanted a oem part put in the car?2. Why would you not run a diagnostic before replacing the alternator?

I would like to say that the desk individual was extremely nice. Now I will explain how this company is overcharging their customers. I brought my truck into a Firestone company off of Stetson Hills in Colorado Springs, CO. I kept reviewing a ABS and Stabilitrak error that would cause issues while I was driving. I looked up multiple auto shops and called around and every single one was closed on weekends due to COVID. I’m active Duty Air Force, which makes it difficult to not have a vehicle during the week. Firestone happened to be open over the weekend, which was so helpful. They took my truck in on Friday, and stated they would run a diagnostic on my truck Saturday morning. They called me at 9:13 AM on Saturday and stated I needed to replace my driver side bearing and that I needed to replace both front axle shafts, which caused the bearing issue to begin with. They said it would cost $1700.
I don’t know much about these parts and decided if they said I have to replace it to be safe, then I would. I then received a call at 11:35 AM that my truck was good to go. When I got there, I saw that they had charged me $900 for labor costs. I asked the front desk technician how 2 hours of work equaled $900 in labor costs which was more expensive than the parts themselves. He told me that when they enter a job in their system that it automatically puts in the hours expected to change the part. For each axle shaft they replaced, it charged me 2.5 hours worth of labor. He didn’t tell me the labor charge for the bearing.
Let’s focus on the shaft labor charges, they replaced both Front axle shafts and the bearing in 2 hours, yet they charged me 5 plus hours in labor costs. How is that honest and fair to their customers? Why wouldn’t they adjust the labor costs to what was actually done to the vehicle? It truly makes no sense to me. I submitted a review when they sent me an email to rate my service, I explained all of this and at the end of the requested review, it asked if I wanted someone to call me. I have not hear from them since I paid and picked up my truck. Please research auto shops because I can promise you that there are shops that will you charge you for the actual labor that is put into your vehicle.

I dropped my car off for an oil change at Firestone on 07/23/20. It took me a week to locate James **, the claims adjuster but before I contacted him, Brandon at the Bossier location called to deny my claim and inform me that Bridgestone America would not rent a vehicle for me. So I rented a vehicle for a week.
Finally, on August 3, 2020, my car was towed to Moffitt Volkswagen, but not before Mr. ** left a voicemail on my phone stating that a RANDOM TOW TRUCK DRIVER WHO DOES NOT WORK AT MOFFIT, stated it would be three weeks before they could look at my vehicle and that "we" should look for another service provider to look at my car. Isn’t it against the law to lie about a claim? That’s called FRAUD! Now keep in mind, that I was without transportation for days. So I contacted service at Moffitt and they said they could take my car in immediately and they did. Once the oil change was completed, the dealership reported that my filter was out-of-place and the oil plug was not hand tighten with the remaining oil on the bottom of my engine. The remaining oil still sits on my garage floor, which is environmental damage.
The invoice also stated there was no guarantee of internal damage. Then Mr. ** sent me an email stated that I had an oil leak but no secondary damage. Of course he sent out an inspector without my knowledge. He was not only unavailable to me but he would not return calls to Moffitt Volkswagen. So, I then contacted John ** who also did not return my calls. I have been a customer of Firestone for over 20 years and this is how the company repays me. I keep records of all my oil changes and I only use Firestone. My 2016 Jetta was in great running condition, but now it delays during acceleration and is in poor running condition. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. It's like NO ONE CARES! Plus I have acquired additional fiduciary cost related to sub standard service performed at FIRESTONE! FIRESTONE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR HARD WORKING CUSTOMERS!
And to add insult to injury, Flint sent me an email requesting that I turn in the rental car($486.86) for a 15 day rental, but failed to pay the dealership for my oil change, while still charging me $30.50 for the botched oil change. So guess what. irestone towed it there and left me stuck with the bill. So I guess the insurance laws support Firestone paying for partial liability only and leaving me stuck with unexpected cost, due to faulty service. This is not my opinion. These are facts backed up with receipts and documentation. And by the way, I have video footage of my car breaking down with a dipstick oil check that was dry and witnesses. Turns out my co-workers we're in my vehicle when the incident occurred! WAY-TO-GO FIRESTONE. YOU SET THE STANDARD FOR GREAT SERVICE! TALK ABOUT THE PRIVILEGED????

Not only did I set appointment but arrived 10 minute early. My car sat for over 40 minutes until I said something. Then the service manager came to me and asked me to look at something. I have a 2018 VW Tiguan, he and 3 others showed me a plastic oil plug and said it needs replacement and can only be used once. I said ok for $20.00. Went to lounge and looked it up on my phone. Complete LIE, don't have to replace it. They were just trying to screw me. Cost on plug is under $5.00. 2 hours later, they could not reset oil change on dashboard. WOW. I left and went to youtube and fixed it in 5 minutes. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN. RIPOFF.

On 12/06/2016, I purchased two rear tires for my Cadillac CTS Coupe (P265/45R18) for a total price of $330.82. Great price because sweet little Sam (on Van Dyke in Sterling Heights, MI) made an error so he had to give me a discount of $207. The total price would have been $537.82, which was the price I was prepared to pay. I really appreciated the discount so I went back and purchased two front tires.
Well, it is now August 31, 2020 and I need new tires. I called Firestone on Van Dyke in Sterling Heights, MI, spoke with Jason and he gave me a quote of $853.00 without tax and installation for two rear tires. FYI Jason, according to the out the door pricing tool on your website the price is actually $606.00. SMH!!! Smells like COVID-19 price gouging to me. Goodbye Firestone! Went to Rick's Warehouse and treated like they wanted my money and business. Firestone is a joke and ripoff. Don't waste your time or money there.

We dropped our car off for an oil change and a brake inspection. They could not figure out how to start our car (it has a fob). They thought the battery was dead and jumped the car. The mechanic admitted that he could not find one of the car battery terminals and so he just hooked the charger cables up to something. They completely fried the electrical system of our car. Then, they lied about it. Interesting coincidence that we take our car in for an oil change and a brake inspection, and it ends up with a dead battery while sitting in the parking lot of Firestone for 1 hour. We had to pay $350 for the battery replacement. We picked our car up after that and refuse to let them do anything else to it. Beware of this place -- they are dishonest and don't know what they're doing. Terrible business.

They recommended tire rotation and Alignment so I have it done with them and last month I took my car there for break check and I was told front brakes need pads. On last Saturday coming back home my break did not work when making left turn on very slow speed. I was very lucky to avoid accident while my family was with me. After pulling on the side of the road I notice inside treads of my front tires are completely gone. Tire look fine from outside but if I turn my steering left or right I can see that. And I check online and find out its bad alignment. I took my car back to Firestone. As soon I told him what happened they become very rude and blame me that maybe tire is wear off due to my driving. They did not even look at the tire. Now I took my car to dealer to have it fix properly and it cost me new tire alignment and new brakes. I would not recommend Firestone in Patchogue NY.

With Covid and all the bad things that are happening this year my household is struggling to stay above water. Tires are not cheap! Store located is 1645 highway 138 SE CONYERS 30016. 770 922-2015. On 07/06/20 I took my 2006 Chevy Tahoe to Firestone because it was Shaking and trembling and I wanted to see if They can figure out what is going on/what is the problem. After talking to one of the Person at the front they told me that it would be $10 to Diagnose the problem. I agree to pay the $10 so I can know what it is. Later on that day I was told that the problem is (right and left IDLER ARM & PITMAN ARMS). Was told that would fix the problem $889.95.
After some days I decided to let them fix the problem because I wanted to make sure the problem will be fixed and after Talking to one of the ladies at the front desk she Ensured me that that would fix the problem if it did not FIRESTONE Guarantee the work and if it did not fix the problem they would fix it for free (Also have a sign at the front desk that says that). So on 07/09/20 I drop the Vehicle off the next day. On 07/10/20 I call to get a update. They Didn't even start working on the Vehicle and was told The vehicle would be ready by closing time at 6:00pm. So when I went to get My vehicle it was not ready. I did not receive my vehicle until about 7:38 pm. I ask them was everything working good. They told me YES. Frustrated I paid my bill about $803.63. Got my vehicle and drove home.
While driving home I still experience the same problems/issue but Worse. I Tried to call but they had closed. Got home and wrote a note for them and took the car back to them and put the key in the drop box. On 07/11/20 I drove up there in our other car about 9:00 am to find out what the Hell is going on With the vehicle so I decided to just wait there. Finally about 2:00pm I was told my vehicle was ready. Went for a little test drop. Did not really notice that much shaken. So I assumed the vehicle was fix properly. Went home. Got my wife and Went back and picked up the vehicle and Park it in the garage on 07/14/20 & 07/14/20 my wife drove the truck to work (no Highway). She told me she had notice it a little.
07/08/20 we went to the lake driving (on the Highway). I still notice the trembling and shaking with the vehicle. On 07/19/20 I took the vehicle back to Firestone so they can re look at it. Later that day they told me that I need tires and one of the tires is Splitting apart inside. I told them to put tires on there and if that fix the problem I would buy their tires. If not they must take them off. On 07/20/20 I got a call and was told that when they put the new tires on it fixed the problem. They did not feel no trembling or vibration. I told them when I get off work I will come by there And inspect the vehicle myself.
When I got off work I went by there And took the vehicle on the highway to make sure There was no Trembling or vibration. To my satisfaction the vehicle was finally fix. Now Firestone want to Charge me about $560 for the tires. Accident about they guarantee and they told me that was another issue/problem. So I decide to contact Firestone customs service. On 07/20/20 I call Firestone customer solutions To file a complaint. I receive a Complaint number and was told that a District manager would call me Within 48 hours. (No phone call). So on 07/22/20 I call Firestone customer service back. Now I was told that They will escalate it to a regional manager and they would call me Within 48 hours. (No call.)
On 07/24/20 I call Firestone custom service back and told them No one still had return my phone call and was told they still have 24 hours. I then ask them if I still have not received a phone call what would be the next step? They told me then it would be Escalated to corporate office and I would have to wait another 48 hours. (KEEP IN MIND OUR VEHICLE IS STILL AT THE SHOP WHILE THIS PROBLEM/ISSUE GET RESOLVED.)
On 07/25 I still did not receive a call back so again I call Firestone customer service about 8:00am. I talk to a lady name (DEB). I explain to her what was going on and She took the time to listen to me and took the extra step to call the store manager and try to Get things worked out. To my surprise she was Successful in getting The problem resolve and told me, "MR. ** go get your Vehicle. There will be no charge." (After all this time and days she was a blessing in getting the problem resolved.) I thank her so much.
I proceeded to go get my vehicle. While on my way the store manager call me and said come get your Vehicle "I have to give you the tires for free". When I got there I got my key and the store manager name (**) told me "that his manager said I am not allowed to bring my vehicle to their shop again." We had a Discussion and I just Left with my vehicle. When I got home A look of the paperwork at it also stated that Service can not be rendered at that location.
Other notes Twice when I went by there at night on my way to work when they was closed I stop to make sure my vehicle was lock. It was Left unlock. And I even told them to make sure that they keep my doors locked. Even when I went to pick it up it was unlocked. And I am pretty sure if something gets stolen on missing the 1st thing they will say they are not responsible. Also doing this time I was trying to get in touch with a local news investigative report to help me with this situation and exposed them. BUT IT'S NOT OVER.

I took my Acadia to the Firestone in Lacey WA due to wobbling/shaking/“stalling” while increasing in speed and had appx $2000 worth of work done. Brent says you guys are good to go and you will be able drive anywhere in this vehicle and if there is anything that is needed to bring my Acadia back to his store due to the lifetime warranties and not to let NO ONE ELSE WORK ON THE ACADIA. Brent was very adamant about bringing my Acadia back to his store ONLY. I drove my Acadia appx 1 hr and it breaks down in Lexington WA, showing the traction control code, showing the stabilization code and now my check engine light is on and the wobbling/shaking/“stalling” with increase speed is still there.
I contacted the Firestone in Lacey, WA and was informed by Brent the manager that I’ll need to take my Acadia to the GMC dealership to get diagnosed again to see if it’s a new problem. Brent or Firestone Corporation didn’t care that my family and I were stranded, so I had to contact my parents who thankfully lives in Longview WA to ask if my family and I can borrow my dad's truck to go on our vacation trip that is appx 4-6 hrs away. I had to “putt” my Acadia up to my parents' house and my Acadia sat there for 4 days without any contact from Brent or the Firestone Corp about fixing my Acadia.
Brent or the Firestone Corp would not tow my Acadia to the nearest Firestone repair service store. I told Brent and the Firestone Corp that I’m not going to pay anymore money to get another diagnosis due to their error. Brent said he cannot do anything more for me and I’ll have to wait to be contacted to move forward with the claims department and that he wasn’t the one we were talking to until I brought up that he had told us he is from Missouri - he said something to the fact oh ok yeah.
No one contacted me from the claims department, so I had to contact the Firestone Corp and put another complaint in b/c I was then trying to figure out how my family and I were going to get home from our family vacation. The claims manager finally gets a hold of me saying that he has to send me a form that I need to complete/submit and wait up to 7-10 business days for review.
I’m a healthcare essential worker and now out of a vehicle. My Acadia drove without the check engine light on, but after I have the Firestone in Lacey WA work on it the check engine light goes on. I’m extremely upset, disappointed and Brent or Firestone Corp doesn’t care that my family and I are out of a reliable safe vehicle. I had the Firestone in Lacey WA work on my Acadia July 14th and my family and I left for our vacation July 16th. I had to take my dad's truck back to Lacey Wa to drop my family off and drive my dad's truck back down to Longview WA to drop the truck off. I had to take a chance on taking my Acadia back on the freeway to get my Acadia back to Lacey and could only go 55 mph with all the above problems b/c the Firestone Corp would not pay for towing. I’m currently still waiting for my Acadia to be fixed.

Drove my car home and the next day I had oil over my driveway. I told him I looked behind the oil filter and saw a lot of oil. He told me it was the valve cover in the back. I told him I felt all around the valve cover and couldn't find any wet areas. He told me to bring it in tomorrow. I brought it in and he told me he would fix it. He told me I was right about the valve cover gasket. He told me to leave it and he would call me up within 3 to 4 hours.
Five hours passed and I called him up and they told me he couldn't talk to me. The lady told me if I wanted to talk to him I would have to come down. I told her, "How can I come down when he has my car." I told her to have him call me. I got a call 45 min later. She called me and told me he went home. When I was leaving the lot I noticed that each time I stepped on the gas, the rpm’s went between 2-3, I drove with it this way for a week. I called back the next weekend and tried to make an appointment about this problem thinking maybe they adjusted something too much and the same person told me this was normal so I did not go in.
As I was driving the second week I noticed that the transmission was sticking so I went in the next weekend. They took it for a test drive and came back and asked me if the guy had told me that the transmission was starting to slip and I said no. They informed me that they don’t do transmission work (thought they were full service) and that there is some kind of problem with my car according to the Ford site and to call the dealer. Went to the location on Peoria Ave. in Phoenix, AZ. If you go here, ask questions and ask for proof!!!! Wish I could give 0 stars. This was by far the worst experience I could've possibly had. I bought new tires from Firestone in October. I paid for the warranty and roadside hazard just to be sure I was covered if anything happened. Well, at 10:00 this morning I noticed one of my tires was flat, I knew to call the number for warranty to make sure it was covered and they told me it should be.
When I brought it to this Firestone and spoke with Jamie he had already tried giving me the run around. He said that if they could repair the tire then it would be covered but if it had to be replaced then it would be a prorated fee for the new tire, this was the first lie. Had I been there alone I would have taken his word for it but my boyfriend knew better. Jamie also told me it would be about 1 hour and a half to 2 hours, second lie. 3 hours after dropping it off we were told my car was being brought into the garage right now and we'd get a call about whether it would be a repair or replacement, lie number 3.
My boyfriend began calling the roadside hazard phone number so he knew for sure what it covered. If the tire had gone through less than 2/32 inches of tread, it would be completely covered. Since the tires on my car are sold at a 10/32 we knew it had to be around 8/32 to get covered completely. My boyfriend decided he wanted to be there when they were working on it so we drove, parked and watched as they had still not brought my car into the garage. Then I watched them drive my car into the garage, along with two other cars shortly after. Took the tire off my car then worked on the other two cars.
At one point there was a solid 15 minutes where nobody was even in the garage working. My phone then rings with Jamie calling to tell me that they will need to replace my tire and it would be $117. My boyfriend asked the tread measurement and Jamie told him it was at 6/32. My boyfriend went in and asked to see and when Jamie measured in front of him it was 8/32, so it should have been covered. Brent, another employee came and measured and once again, he got 8/32. We caught them in a total lie. Brent's excuse was that Jamie was "new". New so you don't know how to measure tread on a tire? I don't feel comfortable or safe having someone work on my car that can't even measure my tread. My total went from $117 to $20 for the Arizona tire fee, and the roadside hazard for my new tire. My car took over 6 hours after all was said and done. Like I said, if you come here, ASK FOR PROOF.

I thought it looked suspect and I wondered if they did this to force me to buy a new tire instead of getting the free repair.
I asked the rude manager, **, if they had any loyalty discounts for long time customers, and he "no, I don't do that." I told him, I had spent thousands of dollars with Firestone over the span of 30+ years, and could he take a little off the total. He was very rude and said, "Do you have a coupon?" I told him no, but I could look online. He said, "We're not like Kroger's, so the only thing you'll be getting is the $11 for the prorated tread on the tire." I told him he was very rude, and that I was going to call the Corporate office and he said, "Go ahead!"
I called the Corporate office, and customer service said they would have the District Manager call me within 48 hours. There was no phone call today, so maybe there will be one tomorrow. I ended up paying over $150.00 for the tire, and because of James, Firestone ended up losing a long time customer! I sure hope ** being a jerk was worth it, Firestone!!! You won't get another dime from me or my family!!!

I took my car with my wife to have it checked in October as it had a bad ticking sound. They did diagnostics on my vehicle. They said it was this and that and that and was over 3,000.00 dollars. I said if it is for sure what the problem is and they said yes that their mechanics are really good and it will take care of the problem. Well it did not take care of the problem and has been taken in a couple more times. Their mechanics now say it is the valves, why did they not say that in the beginning? Then they said when it need an oil change they will put a different oil, Why not just change the oil and put the other oil they are talking about. Well I called Firestone on 1-27-2020 and I explained about the problem and that it is still ticking and also now had a burning smell. They said they would have the district manager call me the next day.
I waited and waited the next day and no phone call. They are really bad mechanics and don't care about their customers and just want to rip them off. I called the main office for Firestone to file a complaint against the Indio shop and that I want them to remove the 3,000.00 dollars they charged as they did not fix the car and now has a burning smell in the front, and to fix the car correctly. They took the complaint and said the same person that was suppose to call yesterday will call me and I advised them that he didn't even call me yesterday. I was told he will call within 24 to 48 hours. They had a inspector come to check the car and I waited a month and they said they did nothing wrong, of course they would say that, they sent their people to check it and protected their company. They did not ever say take the car back so they can fix it correctly. It is a bad company and I will have to see what else I can do to have it fixed right.
UPDATE: After months of waiting. After the inspector checked the car and said it was the valves and also had a leak which they were suppose to fix. After all the complaints to different departments all the way to the top we did not get the problem taken care of, they said they found nothing wrong. The Manager just wants the money and not care about the customer. They are a rip-off and hope that nobody goes there for service. I guess next step is the Attorney General.

I took my car to Firestone recently to get a full set of tires and I was happy with the warranty and the price wasn't too bad either. The only negative thing that I have to say about it is that a month later I had a faulty valve stem that was so bad that whenever you walk by the vehicle you can hear are spewing out of the tire. Unfortunately since I was in Mississippi at a time with my grandmother there was no other Firestone for 65 miles so I had to pay another place to fix it for me. I asked them to check for an oil leak because I was hearing a noise like there was a pressure leak at startup. I was told that's just due to the cold start temperatures here in Texas.??? They said they were unable to do the coolant flush because they didnt have a part to drain it. Ok, just finish so I can go. I left and next day the car is shaking as speed approaches 40-50 mph. I took it back figuring it wasnt balanced correctly.
I was told their "certified technicians wouldnt make that mistake". I left and again, next day car was shaking. Then, add to that my check engine light starts coming on and off. I drive yesterday and I'm getting a tire pressure warning. No, I am not taking it back to Firestone to be touched. On top of that the time it took to repair the car was beyond what the labor book stated it should’ve taken. I filed a complaint with corporate fire stone and was treated like dirt. I went to Firestone 3x in the last week. First I went in for a inspection to maintain my 2006 Pontiac Torrent. I have previously (4/2019) used 2 other mechanics on my car during the time I owned it. This time was different. I said, "Hey I'll go to a national brand and get my car care for inspected properly or wheel alignment is necessary right." I get there at 7 a.m. I tell him it wasn't smooth riding and I get a groaning sound when turning the steering wheel. I wait for my inspection to be completed. It took nearly an hour for him to tell me that all I needed was new tires because my tires was 10 years old and they don't recommend that you keep them that long, sway Link Bar because there was not one on my left side front of my vehicle (thats what probably causing the sound I hear while turning), a hub bearing and seal on my front driver side Tire and ball joints for the front of the vehicle.
Okay he gives me a price close to $2,000. I tell him okay. "No I'll just do the most important things," this is me trusting their expertise and honesty. Well I get the ball joints put in, I get the the alignment and I leave the shop. Okay cool fine. I feel like I'm well on my way to keeping my car in order. Okay I come back probably about 4 days later and I allowed them to put the sway Link Bar on my car. Okay if they put the sway link bars on the front of my car and I immediately noticed that my back tire started to make this loud like rattling type of sound whenever I will hit you know a pothole or anything. But I was on the way to work so I took it back to them probably a a day or two later. He tells me he'll do another and he tells me, "Okay it's your hub wheel bearing on the driver rear side that's broken up making that noise."
I say okay and agree to get the hub wheel bearing but once I leave there the majority of the rattling stopped but then my car started making a different type of clicking kind of sound in the rear tire that they claimed that they were working on now. After 2 Inspections no one told me what I found out today at a whole another mechanic shop was that my whole control arm bracket to my back rear driver tire is rotted out and broke apart and that is a sound that I am hearing. Also my shocks are done for in the rear of my car. Now why would a company have me spend $2,000 of my money basically to work on a car that's worthless, that is no repairing to?? Why would after two inspections you not be able to tell me that there is something that's more serious than the ball joints that's more serious than a sway link bars? But I am done. Stay away from this place and I am intending to sue for all $2,000 of mine back.

Hi, I visited numerous Firestone Service Centers over the past several years from Connecticut to Rhode Island to Massachusetts. The reason for having changed from service center to service center is because the repairs were deficient, with either wrong parts replaced that did not properly fit the vehicle or because of missing parts from the vehicle after a repair was completed or simply because staff was incredibly rude to customers (belligerent, uttering all sorts of profanities, etc). One facility in Warwick, RI performed a bad repair which they rationalized with, "Oh just keep driving around. The steering system will fix itself. Just keep driving around." This hardly seems in tune with keeping vehicle and driver safety in mind.
Two Firestone Service Centers quoted close to $2,000.00 in repairs which, after I got a second opinion, were unnecessary because according to the second opinions, "Everything looks fine and solid, so no repairs are needed." Some of these parts that Firestone technicians said needed to be replaced were relatively new (The vehicle even passed State safety inspections). Despite this, I continued to service our vehicle at Firestone and slowly noticed a rationalizing of the prior quotes for repairs, with staff commenting, "Oh, you should have this repair done which we actually pointed out to you a while ago." Once again, those repairs were never needed based on second opinions.
The last service at a Firestone in Attleboro, Massachusetts was the most concerning of all because of the safety danger to us and other traffic-goers. What should have been a routine oil change turned out to be a frighteningly disturbing awakening, when after leaving the shop I found a couple of parts missing from the vehicle including what could not have been other than a deliberate dismantling of the windshield washer nozzle assembly. With winter driving, sleet, rain, and road salt, the windshield washer system could have proved a real danger: The fluid system was re-directed to spray into the engine manifold rather than onto the windshield because a critical part was detached, pulled off. Was this to bring our vehicle back to the shop for additional repairs to fill some sort of monthly repair quota?
This is horrible that Firestone staff is directing customers to have repairs performed that are unnecessary -- amounting to thousands of dollars -- and of all horrible things dismantling parts critical to drive safety. We were apparently overly naive and patient with Firestone service over the years, which in the most recent instance could have resulted in a major accident to innocent drivers. We'll take our safety and trust elsewhere because we don't want to be victims of a tragedy resulting from crude service.

I sent my daughter to Firestone because I wanted her to go to what I thought was a reputable corporation. She is from Missouri and going to college in Greeley Colorado so we do not know any local repair shops. When I called the shop after I found out how much they overcharge and took advantage of a young 19 year old college student I spoke to Eric. I asked Eric (as a normal customer) if they give an estimate of the cost of repairs before doing the repairs. He assured me that ‘Yes we always call and let you know what the cost of the repairs will be before doing any work.’ I then asked him why he did not give my daughter an estimate of repairs BEFORE doing them on her jeep.
were the warranties. So after not giving my daughter an estimate they also did not give her the option of selecting what warranty she wanted on the battery.
They opted to put in the most expensive battery (warranty) they carry. They put in a battery with a 6 year warranty in a 2000 model vehicle with over 200,000 miles on it. I did go to the Interstate site and put in the make, model, engine type of my daughters vehicle and found the suggest battery. I looked up the price of the suggested battery and found it cost $99.00. Eric’s attitude also turned rude and arrogant after he found out I was not a ‘potential customer. I will be sending a letter to Firestone Corporation Headquarters with the backup documentation. I do not foresee that I will get any results in doing this. In short DO NOT PATRONIZE THE GREELEY COLORADO FIRESTONE - THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. Details of bill - Battery : $229.99. *Found the same battery/brand $99.00. Labor $ 78.99 *Outrageous overcharge for labor. Shop Supplies $ 5.53. Tax $ 16.51.

I wrote a general feedback to Firestone and was contacted immediately by John in the Bloomington location (in fact in my voicemail he left telephone numbers and the times that I could find him and invited me to call him anytime because he urgently wanted to fix this for me).
John went out of his way to talk with me to understand what had been happening so he could actually fix it. I mean, I have not seen somebody that professional, committed and authentic in many years. Patrick the manager of the Bloomington store worked hand-in-hand with John fixing the problems, communicating with me and making everything work. When I spoke with the manager, and brought the part in, he said these pinhole pricks in the CV boot happen all the time which is inconsistent with the opinion of other industry professionals. Ten days before going to Firestone to have a flat tire fixed, my regular mechanic did an inspection on my car as part of an oil change. At this inspection the CV boot was in good working order.
Ten days later I bring it to Firestone to have a hole patched in the tire and they tell me the CV shaft/boot needs to be replaced because it is leaking. I do not have them do the work, rather I go back to my regular mechanic to have it replaced. He showed me the boot, and the report from ten days earlier. There was a pinhole prick in the CV boot, as if somebody pricked a hole parallel to the CV shaft in the CV boot to upsell a product/service. Most often wear on a CV boot happens perpendicular to the CV shaft due to rotation, not parallel. Again, this Firestone is a place I will never take a vehicle again. Be cautious.

I originally bought four tires and a lifetime alignment for my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My jeep has a lot of rust and when they went to do the alignment they were having a real hard time turning the sleeves. But the worst part is I saw him start to tighten up the sleeves without having total toe in the green. I got the store manager and he had the mechanic borrow from his fellow mechanic an electric heat induction tool. This allowed him to do the job. Now months later when I went to get the tires rotated and Alignment check because I saw a little bit of Feathering on the one tire they said they couldn't turn the sleeve. Just amazes me how they had the ability to do it when they took my money but when it was free they no longer had the ability. So I took the Jeep home and took the parts off and heat them up with my torch and freed them all up.
When I took the Jeep back for them to do the alignment the mechanic started turning the total toe sleeve but was turning it in the wrong direction taking it out more and more. I yelled you're going the wrong way. He starts turning it back the other way and said he couldn't get the toe to come in. This is an older Jeep. It has a total toe adjustment and then it has a steer head adjustment. You adjust the total toe first and then you bring in the steer ahead adjustment. He did not have the screen set up for total toe. He was trying to individually set each toe, but this car is not built that way. It's just a total toe adjustment.
This Jeep has 2 Outer tie rod ends connected with a sleeve from each knuckle that holds the total toe in the proper alignment. Then there's another tie rod end and long sleeve that goes from the gearbox to the right side knuckle. That adjustment then levels out the steering wheel. After I got the mechanic to put total toe on the alignment machine and had him turn the total toe sleeve till it was in the green then and only then was I satisfied with his work. I am a retired alignment mechanic where I did this for a living for 38 years at Sears in the Fashion Square.

They quickly told me they could not release the car unless it was fixed or a wrecker would have to pick it up. I didn't mind it because I knew they were looking out for my safety. Great job.
Thank you for sharing your experience at our Houston Firestone, Tina.

Updated on 01/10/2020: They still have not responded to my compliant like they said. Their last email over a week ago where I had written about the nail in my tire. Firestone said the hole could not be replaced. Over a week ago Firestone said they would get me including the reason why I was asked if I wanted to keep the old.
Updated on 01/05/2020: I sent a complaint by email through ConsumerAffairs. Migual, from Firestone, responded to say I should email him at sociacare@bfrc.com and the email bounced. He did not leave a phone number to call him at.
Original review: I went there like I do almost every month for my oil and tire rotation. I drive over 5,000 miles a month. My car was new in March of 2019. There was no sign of tire leakage. The gauge pressure on my car did not show any tires having low pressure. The manager came out and said they have to replace a tire because there was a nail in one of the tires. We went inside and he sprayed water on the tire and the water bubbled. He said the only cure is to buy a new tire. They did not even try fill the hole with the rubber piece that I have seen done in the past at other places. I had to buy a new tire.
Thank you for contacting Firestone. We would like to know more about your tire concerns. Please email us at sociacare@bfrc.com with your contact information, invoice number and a link to this review. We will have your concerns addressed by our management team. ^Miguel

I told the manager that I had a confirmation for a reservation and I was told that "Oh, that thing never works." What's the point in going thru the trouble of the on-line reservation. NEVER AGAIN!

I bought 2 tires at the Firestone Arlington wa store mid 2019. In October my low tires gauge in my 2016 Toyota Prius came on SO, I went to Firestone to look at the tire. They couldn't find anything wrong with the tire and blamed my Prius for faulty gauges. Since I had to air up the tires I found this response weak but they acted like I was the stupid one. Anyway, the gauge stayed on light came on and I told myself to ignore it! I mean these guys are the tire boys. My car started pulling and it was visually low so I aired it up. Less than 30 miles in to my drive it was clearly flat. I was on hwy 9 so I went to Frontier village Les Schwab. Not only was there a slow leak but a faulty valve stem to air up the tire. It cost me 62.00.
I went to Firestone because why should I have to pay for a new tire that was bad but TONY, the manager said it wasn't their fault and said there was nothing wrong with the tire in October. The fact his untrained incompetent team didn't find the slow leak doesn't mean it wasn't bad plus his complete lack of responsibility for his product, to insinuate that Les Schwab was erroneous and it wasn't his tire? Not to mention me being stuck on hwy 9 with a flat. Shame on you Tony, and to insult me to offer to pay 7.00! Women be aware, the way I was treated as an idiot. I hope 62.00 was worth losing a customer Tony!!!! 9

I scheduled appointment for 12/26/2019 at Firestone store (Location: 70 State Highway 139, Jersey City, NJ 07306) for my car's tire rotation and wheel alignment. I booked appointment on call and I asked the guy whose name is '**' If I bought another company's car tire in the future instead of Firestone when I need to change tires so can I get tire rotation and wheel alignment is free for lifetime? He said, "You can get wheel alignment free but tire rotation is not free." I said, "Ok. No problem." Right now I have Firestone tires which I got with my car. I asked this question because in the future I need to change my tire so I must know which things they are offering it and which they don't.
After that I went to the store for the rotation and alignment and that time that guy whose name is ** told me that "You need to pay for tire rotation" and I asked him why? He said, "Because you have different tires on your car." I told him, "I bought my car before 3 years ago and from that time I have same tire. You can check your record online and every almost 3 months I am coming here for tire rotation and alignment and I have Firestone tires only in my car." Then he behave rude with me. He said, "Ok give me your key, you don't need to pay money for that."
He speak some bad words to me but still I didn't tell him anything. He behaves like I am a homeless or any poor guy who is getting service by free of cost. So the first thing he suppose to be not to do this kind of behave with any customer. 2nd thing is I paid lots of money to the Firestone for give me lifetime wheel alignment and tire rotation free. So they are not doing free and their store manager do not have any right to talk with their customer like this. Also, every time they use to do all point inspection, this time also this guy told me they gonna do it but they didn't do. So they didn't gave their service properly.
After that I called customer service and tell them regarding this issue. They said their regional manager gonna call me within a 48 hours so this is not the proper customer service that they gave me. When store manager can talk with you like this then what could we expect from the company. I am going to this store from last around 3 years and for the first time I meet there someone who is new store manager and talk with me like this.
I was not only the person over there, with me there was lots of other customers was there and he talk with everybody like this. Seems like that guy his name is '**' (Store Manager) he don't like if any customers comes to the store. He act like, "Why did you come to the store, you came here that's why we need to work now." I strongly recommend Firestone company to take serious action on this store manager. As a store manager he suppose know how to behave with their customers. I hope Firestone cares about their customers.

1. I first went to Firestone on 12/17/2018 for a noise on my rear driver side of the vehicle. I already had been told by my personal mechanic that the bearings and seals needed to be replaced. I went to Firestone they drove the car and did a full inspection where they printed out this full list of repairs that needed to be changed now or in the near future. 2. On that list as you view the full car inspection report (exhibit #1) you see nothing stating that the axel needed to be changed.
3. As you can see from the invoice (exhibit #2) that they did the full vehicle inspection which they billed me for and they fixed and changed the bearings and seals on both sides left side and right side as recommend by their technician. Which cost me $640.17 and when I asked them after the repairs what’s covered under the warranty they said everything for up to 12 months or 12,000 miles whichever comes first. 4. I was told by them and it also states on their website and on the back of every invoice 12 months or 12,000 miles whichever one comes first. (exhibit #3 and #4).
5. Like it states on their site and on the back of every invoice – What is warrantied and for how long? Firestone response (Most parts and services purchased at Firestone Complete Auto Care are covered by a minimum of twelve (12) months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, with some parts and services carrying a different warranty. Some exclusions may apply; please see details below. Warranties apply to parts installed and service performed on private passenger vehicles. This warranty is valid at Firestone Complete Auto Care locations.) (exhibit #3 and #4).
6. If you view the first invoice again (exhibit #2) you will see the date states 12/17/2018 and the mileage is 141,840. 7. Now in October 2019 of this year I noticed the same problem coming from the rear left side again just like the first time. 8. When I took it to Firestone on 10/22/2019 I was told that it was the axel this time that caused rear bearings and seals to go out again. Why wasn’t it listed on the full car inspection (exhibit #1). The car was barely driven in the last couple months. I was told that they didn’t know why the first technician didn’t put it on the first inspection report (exhibit #1). But he no longer worked there.
9. When I asked them to replace just the bearings and seals since it was under warranty I was told that they couldn’t do that because the axel is what caused the problem this time. I was told that the warranty couldn’t be honored unless I replaced the axel. 10. When I told the tech that the car was barely driven in the last couple months he said he can see that because the first time it was repaired the car only had 141,840 (exhibit #2) and when I brought it in for the second time it only was at 143,554 (exhibit #5). Which means the car was driven for about 1,714 miles way under the 12,000 mile warranty.
11. So under their warranty I was still under the 12 month and 12,000 miles. But since they said it was the axel that caused the problem they couldn’t honor their warranty until I replaced the axel. 12. So they quoted me $328.17 for the new repairs. The axel piece alone cost $189.99 and $210 in labor fees. They only gave me a partial warranty reimbursement. (exhibit #5) 13. After I picked the car up after the repairs were done I had to return it the same day (10/28/2019 - Monday) because now the all the brakes light were on including the ABS light (Image 1). Now as you can see from all the invoices this has never been a problem on the vehicle before. Also view (exhibit #5) and (exhibit #6) which shows me picking up the vehicle and returning it the same day.
14. I was told it was the abs sensor and that a new one was ordered free of charge and will be here on 10/29/2019 -Tuesday so I left the car overnight at the firestone location. 15. When Tuesday came no sensor I was told it was a delay and then on Wednesdays same thing and on Thursday it was delivered right before they closed. On Friday afternoon (11/1/2019) the car was finished I went to pick the car up. Drove home and then all the brake lights came on again.16. Since I was going out of town that following Sunday the car was parked for weeks unusable. Each exhibit is proof of invoice from firestone

I left the vehicle at 2:45 at the shop. I live about a hour away, so I called at 5 to see if it was going to be ready. I was advised yes. Upon arrival at 5:45 the tire installation was not complete. I was advised to wait and everything would be completed. At 6:40 PM I was advised that the alignment machine was broken since that morning and that the could not align the vehicle. No one told me that the machine was broken on ANY call or even while I was waiting. I paid for the lifetime alignment 4 years ago and this is the 3rd time that the store could not offer this service. Called back and said they could get me in Tuesday 11/19/2019. 11/19/2019 Took my car in and advised that the belt wasn’t on properly and replaced. After leaving stopped and got food and reversed and heard loud grinding noise on passenger tire. Called morning 11/20/2019 and was advised to bring my car back in 11/23/2019.
11/23/2019 Manager looked at my right wheel and couldn’t find any issues. I advised I would need to follow up with dealership and made an appointment following return from Thanksgiving travels with Columbus Acura. 12/04/2019 Took my car to Acura of Columbus and inside of my right passenger wheel well was pushed in causing tire to grind. When firestone originally worked on vehicle my car was suspended for very long time while they were working on the right side. 12/07/2019 was driving and suddenly it sounded like rocks were projecting around in my engine. Called Acura of Columbus and immediately took it in that day and received a loaner car till they could look at it on 12/09/2019.
12/09/2019 Got a call from Acura of Columbus and was advised that firestone didn’t properly install the compressor and to take it back and have them fix at no charge. 12/10/2019 Took my car into firestone and they replaced the belt again. On my way home I heard my a loud noise again and called firestone and asked if they knew why this would occur and they didn’t. Called Acura of Columbus next morning 12/11/2019 to make an appointment. 12/17/2019 Took my car back to Acura of Columbus and was advised that firestone failed to put on the Splash guard and advised them to do it so I wouldn’t have to go back to firestone again. Summary: Dealing with firestone has been incredibly scary, costly, and just a huge amount of time loss.

When I moved to Fort Hood TX in 2018, my AC went out and had the compressor replaced, which has given me issues ever since. 2019, I had an oil change, didn't bother checking if they did it right. Went out of town, by the time I hit Northern Texas, all the oil was spilled all underneath my hood. Firestone overfilled it and caused my dip stick to come out, spilling all the oil. From that, things went south; radiator issues, ac issues. Today, my wife took it to get oil change, and the car comes out with check engine light, which they want to send to a Firestone somewhere else to charge over 100 dollars to check...these people are damaging military members' pockets. I took my truck in for driving sluggish and asked for the store to but it on the diagnostic machine. I was then called back and said the truck needed spark plugs and #8 coil pack. The repairs came out to about $620. Once I picked the truck up we drove a little that day but not much. We drove it the next day quite a bit and the sluggishness was still there. I took my truck back on Mon the following day and they could not find the issue until Tuesday.
The service advisor then told me that it’s caused by a bad gasket on the intake which was causing coolant to leak into the #5 coil and all coils needed to be replaced. I then asked how much the gasket repair would be and Terry the advisor said it would be over $700 plus tax. I am very unsatisfied with the service because it’s like the mechanics at the store are guessing and have no idea what the problem was but charged me over $600 and it did not fix the issue. If I would have known it was going to be over $1300 I would not have gone through with the repair especially when the diagnosis that was given was not accurate. So now I am out $600+ and my vehicle still has the same issue. All of this was at the Mansfield, TX location.

Hello, On two occasions, 2017 and in November 2019, my family had to replace tires. The first time a tire had been stabbed on the side. My wife was receiving chemo treatment and living in Decatur. She told the store manager to put a Primewell tire on the car. Instead he put the most expensive tire and would not replace it. In November 2019, my daughter had a tire that was punctured. He called and my wife agreed to replace the one tire, putting the "least expensive tire" on it which is Primewell. Instead, a second time this manager put a $180 tire on. This store is dishonest. They do not listen to customers. Although I am loyal to Firestone in Az, I will never pay for any services my daughter might have while she continues to live in this time. My wife and I have been loyal customers to Firestone in Lufkin, Texas but we have recently had some very bad experiences. First, on March 30, 2019, we were told that we needed a transmission flush as part of our maintenance on a 2011 Mercury Mariner. The vehicle had 123,900 miles on it at the time. The transmission quit working less than 1,000 miles after that. I had an independent tech named Steven ** look at it in October. He said that I should get in touch with Firestone Corporate because he said that after being a previous employee at Firestone that they would probably want to make it right and avoid a class action lawsuit. He also said that the most current recommendation is to not flush a transmission in a vehicle with over 60,000 miles on it.
In any event I began contacting them on 10/26/2019. They said that they had contacted the local Lufkin, TX store manager, and he had agreed to help. Supposedly, we were only waiting on the approval of the area manager to have the transmission fixed. In any event, I contacted them over 7 times constantly being put off 2-3 days each time in spite of me telling them that my wife had health issues. Finally, Firestone told me on 12/6/2019 that they were not responsible. They told me that I could have a year down at my expense and that if the mechanic said that the transmission flush contributed, then they would have another shop of their choice examine the transmission. In any event I would advise anyone thinking of using them to stay away.
My 2016 Toyota Corolla also had the brakes replaced by them within the last two months and is still making weird noises. They replaced the breaks without replacing the rotors at first. The rotors were supposedly warped. The Toyota had less than 48,000 miles at the time. They replaced the rotors after we complained a few days later. I will personally avoid Firestone after these experiences.

Went in for a pa inspection. They claimed car needed 500$ of work to pass.. However, what they didn't realize, is that the valve gasket they claimed was leaking severely was actually brand new.. I looked at the gasket as they removed it. Gasket was fine, no oil on exhaust like they claimed. Mechanics said they wiped it off and car will not pass until I replace gasket. That task alone was 246$.. Charged me 119$ for a gasket from Advanced Auto, that costs 46 bucks.
What hurts is, they lied. I check my car daily for leaks and issues. The reason the gasket was new, was original was leaking and I discovered that and my brother repaired that. Firestone in Hanover PA claimed it must have not sealed correctly. So I lost 246$. The other repair was an A arm underneath, probably a lie as well but that I can't back up, so I was ok with paying for that part. What's worse is they used a sealant to ensure the gasket would not leak.. not that it was. Sealant that must be removed if I need to replace it again in future. It's not the money, but rather the effort in stealing from me and doing so with a smile..

I asked for the earliest appointment and she said 7:00am then changed it to 7:30am because the tech won't be here until 7:15. When I arrived she doesn't remember me and asked if I had an appointment. Didn't I speak with you yesterday about a 7:30 appointment. You didn't schedule it....? Then she remembers and says the tech isn't here yet.
When he finally gets in and starts on my car he tells me the axle boot is torn. When I go to look he say it is on the top and is leaking but doesn't show it to me. Then tells me the inner tie rod is seized and the tech is heating it up to get it loose. When I get to the counter to check out I get a bill for future services totaling over $1200. Half of which was not requested to be checked. Stop wasting my time to try and get another upsale. If I can't trust you to keep an appointment, why would you be honest about what is really going on. I don't believe half of this will actually need to be done. I will get a second opinion. If it turns out I was being lie to, I will make sure any future customers get the real story before spending their money at Firestone. A few mins before 10am I am finally leaving.

I was traveling in Eugene, Oregon, and had Firestone at W. 11th do an alignment on Saturday after purchasing new tires elsewhere. Firestone recommended an additional job replacing sway bar bushings; I explained I was traveling and leaving Eugene that day. Firestone said they had the part and could do it early and take only an hour, so we scheduled this for Monday morning at 9 AM. When I arrive, I’m told they need to catch up other vehicles, and I would need to wait 4-5 hours. I explained this was set up for the morning as I was traveling, but was told the same thing. I was shocked and left. Apparently an appointment is not an appointment at Eugene Firestone W. 11th. The regional manager never returned my phone call, and the corporate office dropped the ball on this as well as the assigned rep did not return my call.

I bought new tires at the Firestone in Stuart Fl. I also purchased the lifetime alignment years prior. During oil changes (at same location) I would request tire rotations as well as alignments. The last two visits I was told I needed new tires. Not once was I told the rotation would not be completed. After noticing shaking, I took my vehicle to Tires Plus. I was shown that there were visible wires on my front two tires. I was told it was from both lack of rotations and alignment. I had to replace both tires. Will not be taking any of my vehicles back to Firestone.

I have been with Firestone for some years. I started at the Jacksonville location and oil kept leaking after oil change, so I went to Firestone in NLR (Spending a lot of money, time from work, etc). The same thing so I went further out from where I live to the Firestone at the Cantrell location. Once again it happened for a 3rd time because the screw was stripped. I travel for work, leisure and personal out of state often. Should I say more of how DANGEROUS this is. Have been to this firestone for my oil change, tire rotation (and aligned) as well. I noticed oil leaking AGAIN in my garage once again (see below about the repetitive fix). I brought it in and the mechanic said that once I had said what the issue was over the phone he knew what it was..excess oil that didn't get washed off when I had the oil change. During this visit my daytime running light replaced it cost me $500+.
I returned the next day cause my car was pulling to the right while driving. The maintenance man showed me a piece of paper that (supposedly) showed all areas to be ok. This was not correct, I took my vehicle to Walmart and they balanced my tires (no pulling!!) Again my daytime running light on the driver side light was out once again and the worker that fixes that sort of thing showed up late (2+ hours) for work. Once he fixed it again the keys were handed to me without any explanation of what has happened. No "We apologize"!!
Oct 2019 I took my car back to firestone because of light and found out that they didn't have the manhood to tell me that they didn't have a person qualified to repair my car especially the headlights. He cut wires on my car and the FINALLY the manager shows up and says he contacted Volkswagen about it!! So now I have 1day time running light on and am out of HUNDREDS of dollars!!! I have proven that I can be a loyal customer but Firestone has not backed what Harvey Firestone believed in!!! If you want to be ROBBED and still have an unrepaired vehicle then go take it to ANY firestone!!!

Went to the Firestone on Atlantic Boulevard in Canton Ohio. Called in the morning to get a tire replaced. Asked about some kind of warranty since I bought 4 new tires there in Feb of this year. Was told there wasn’t any kind of warranty. Made the appointment for the same tire and needed a tire pressure sensor replaced on a different tire. When I was there in feb I got 4 tires for 600 dollars. When my vehicle was done (over an hour later) the guy told me it was almost $400. I asked why it was so high. He said I got the all weather tire (which is not what I requested) and he said that was what was in the computer so that’s what I got. Then when I looked at the bill on the computer there was a charge for almost $50 for “road side assistance” that I wasn’t told about OR asked about. If I wouldn’t have caught that the bill would have been even higher!!! I will never go to another firestone ever!

No one could seem to find the "iron-on-iron-scrubbing-noise" my brakes were making. In the last 12 months, all pads, rotors and calipers had been replaced (somewhere else) but everyone since then, told me my brakes are fine - no problem discovered. The sales clerk (Bob maybe) was very rude and non caring. I had my oil changed, my brakes done, and my ac recharged. He waited until the last minute to order my brake parts which meant I had to sit and wait that much longer. I was there over 3 hours which should not have happened. While there, I overheard him bad mouth other employees and degrade and talk about customers. The technicians go greasy had prints on my visor (that still won't come out) and all over my steering wheel.
After 2 months, the brakes were still squeaking and the oil needed changing, so I made yet another appointment. The appt was at 230. At 315, my car had still NOT been taken in. This time Peggy went out and got the workers to get my car in. Evidently, they had not put some hardware on my car originally and that they were going to add some, but they were NOT in stock, so I had to wait again for these correct parts to come over. After 3 hours, I finally left only to back out of my driveway the next morning to BOTH brakes now squeaking and much louder than before. While I sat there for over 3 hours, I listened to the sales guy Bob on the phone turning customers away and being rude.

About 1 year ago today 32 thousand miles ago my company bought Firestone tires for the minivan. On that day we had the vehicle aligned as well as new tires put on at the GCR in Devils Lake North Dakota which is an association to Firestone. We brought the van there every 5 thousand miles to have the tires rotated as it was free due to buying the tires… Awesome right? Wrong cause when getting my oil change about a week ago the company not GCR measured the tires and alerted me that they are at 2/32 and 3/32 which is basically shot.
I immediately went to the GCR store here in Devils Lake and had the manager go and measure them and he confirmed that they should be replaced. I proceeded to ask him about the tread warranty and he stated to me that these tires I bought at this store were 60 thousand mile tread warranty. I asked proceeded to tell him that the warranty should kick in and he told me that the warranty is void due to 2 reasons. First he said because of the uneven tread that I had to of over inflated or under inflated the tires. Immediately I shut him down with that and reminded him that the van has tire pressure monitoring system and they were the only ones that ever rotated the tires.
After I made him eat them words of trying to blame the customer he then stated that because my vehicle is a commercial minivan that the warranty is voided, I then asked why when I brought it in didn't he tell me that and I would have just put some really cheap tires but he upsold me because of the warranty on the tires he said was a great deal. He could not comment on that he said. I then asked him so because of the passenger van being used as a Taxi it would be considered commercial, how about farmers pickups, minivans, SUVs are they covered because they would be considered commercial as well due to the fact that they use them in the field at times. He told me that he is not going to comment on that and said he was not warranting these and that was that. I asked who I can call about this and he gave me the warranty number.
I called and eventually spoke with a Joy in the warranty department who helped me out by stating that because of the situation she was going to grant the warranty. I went back to the store and spoke with the manager again and set up an appointment to have the 3 tires replaced, and he said they do not have the ones on the van in stock but has other ones. I told him whichever ones are cheapest I will go with them. When I showed up for the appointment I asked what my cost would be after the warranty prorate and he told me it was going to be $540.40 and that is more than I paid for all 4 when I initially paid for them. I asked about this and he said well it is what it is, at this point he is just being very rude in my opinion so I just canceled and called Joy back from warranty and she said she has no control over what each store charges. SO beware everyone. Firestone will not warranty their junk. #neveragainfirestone

Anyone who knows me, knows I grew up with a mechanic as a father. A trip to Dartmouth for a pedicure after work the other day, and I noticed my brake pads finally had their final day... so I dropped it off at Firestone asked the service advisor if he could throw some new brake pads on and peek at and clean up the rotors. I didn't ask for anything more. Lo and behold they tried to OVER CHARGE ME FOR WORK NOT DONE and to top it off he said my car was a rotting mess. Not this chick. You don't lie to me. I investigate everything. Long story short, DON'T GO TO FIRESTONE.
I have an investigation going and I am disgusted with the service and manipulation. He stated he needed to keep the car overnight. I was going to miss work, absolutely not. I said, "YOU GOT IT SEIZED. YOU FIX IT." I said I didn't ask for new rotors and didn't authorize anything except brake pads. He found a way to get my brake pads on by admitting he took a boot off another vehicle because he ripped mine somehow etc etc.
Firestone in Dartmouth is a complete ripoff. I got my brake pads for 213 bucks. Nope I am not that dumb. He charged me for a whole brake and rotor job. TO TOP IT OFF he then told me, "Oops I didn't clean your brakes," "now I owe you one you one huh." And I said, "No, I am not paying for a service that was not completed." He asked if I wanted to keep the payment and have the work done the next day. No! I got the refund back on my card.. but he really did this to the wrong person. I went to a mechanic the next day after work to see what was done. Was told I have another 4 months with the rotors and new brake pads. Yet Bob told me my entire car was basically rotting and I would probably be at risk for my safety. Nope nope and nope.
Let's try waiting now 3 days for a service Manager from Boston area to return a call. I decided to call Retail Operations Customer Service and now next the BBB will be informed. Why hasn't anyone returned a call to me. He also charged me for a bunch of things and he was attempting to charge me the next day for 440 bucks, plus almost whatever parts he said I needed. I new rod and caliper set etc. I'm not the one.
Oh MY GOD! TELL me why, after 7/8 days I get a call not from the Greater Boston Area Manager for Firestone but the Manager from Seekonk. Tried to rectify issues. Still unhappy so I called Consumer Affairs now with Retail Operations of Bridgestone. Finally had the amazing girl Krystle, get on the phone with Bob to figure out what exactly he will do to clear up the bill and remove the extra care bs and charge me properly for the labor of brake pads and just and only brake pads. She comes back and states, "Bob will only come to a compromise if you either speak to him in person at the store or speak to him over the phone."
Absolutely not. I started stating how uncomfortable I am and he needs to be held accountable charging me for work not performed and when questioned he STATED, "I GUESS I OWE YA ONE HUH" with a smile that day and insisted I come back and he will perform the work then. So today I am even further disgusted with his ultimatum **. Just proves what a sick individual is there and the economically sociopathic tendencies Bob has. Wow. Just wow. She said ok forwarding to corporate. She agreed that was not a normal request. He couldn't just charge me properly to begin. Fight for your rights. Consumer Rights.

They installed them and went for a test drive and came back to tel me the noise was still there. I was like really you just changed out a good part. The mechanic said it could be the passenger side wheel bearing. I was in hurry to get new tires on my kid's Mazda CX5 and I went to Town Fair and the experience was pathetic. They told me they could help me but they were limited on 19" tires and they tried to sell me garbage tires, so I left and went to NTB where I sat in the lobby and waited 20 minutes for someone to even recognize me only to leave in total disgust. I then went to Walmart who had no idea what a tire is and then went to a couple local places too that were amazing but limited on inventory and resources. Then I remembered Firestone? The issue is we're all trying to save a buck, so we look at the marketing scams and start to overthink it.
However, when I drove into the Firestone parking lot the experience was different. I walked in and I was greeted by a professional who has been in the business since the 70's and I knew I was in good hands. I asked him if you had to put tires on your kid's car what tire would you buy? He quickly showed me a couple options and yet the tires were more expensive. I trusted his judgement. Yes, I paid a little more, but it is worth it. Better service and real experience. Therefore, I would recommend this branch to anyone. Not only their knowledge, but their attitude and love for what they do was so evident.
The Firestone in Plaistow NH also met my aggressive timeline. I look forward to my installation tomorrow. It proves consumers will pay a little more for exception service and good people. I would have never realized this had I not experienced what I went through this evening. As of today, I'm a customer for life and your team in Plaistow NH made a difference. Ty Firestone Plaistow. :)

I have been using Firestone for tires and brakes and other repairs for a very long time. I have been bringing my car to the Wayne, NJ location for the past 5 years and have had everything from brakes to tires to suspension replaced there. Each time there was always a surprise repair needed but I paid it no mind and trusted the service advisors. They have always been overpriced but I figured they always got the car done in a day or so so you pay for convenience. Last year I put in rear shocks for around $700.
This year I decided to do brakes and rotors along with the front struts. All of this came in at a whopping $1900 including the surprise CV joint replacement. I trusted the service advisors and overpaid for the repair and was sent home with a new estimate for a rear trailing arm bushing quoted for $700 and if the whole are was needed $1,200+. I took the car back, looked up the parts. $25 for both sides and the quote for one side was $500. Now I am beyond upset. I buy rotors, brakes and the bushings all for under $125 with the intention to have Firestone install them. I took a ride to the beach with my car and I had to fight it the whole way down the highway. Pulling to the right (after Firestone just aligned it $199 for lifetime) and vibrating horribly (after I paid $40 for balancing the front tires). On top of this the new struts were banging just as bad as the old ones.
I ended up leaving the car with a mechanic down the shore since I did not feel safe going 60mph+ back up the highway. He found that the alignment was still off and the tires were never balanced , no weights on them at all. I asked him if he could inspect the new struts and he did finding one of them is loose and shifting around. In addition he found bad lower control arms and sway bar links which all of should have been caught by Firestone since they had the entire front-end apart.
I had all of this repaired except for the strut since they are brand new. I complained to Firestone and was told a manager would call me. Upon further inspection of the car I noticed they never replaced the brake pad springs like the other mechanic did. The mechanic fixed rear pads, rotors, both trailing arm bushings, front lower control arms and sway bar links on both sides all for $350. Firestone quoted $771 for just one trailing arm bushing. I feel ripped off and lied to and will be demanding a refund and replacement of the bad strut. Terrible way to treat a long time customer since 1995.

They told me they had been very busy, but my car was next up for service. I ride shared home, and drove my other car to run some errands. I drove by Firestone about 2 hours later and my car had not moved. I went back to pick it up a little after 5pm, and it was still parked in the same spot. The guy at the desk had the paperwork and said I was all done. $79 for the oil change.
When I got in the car, there was no sticker on the windshield showing when my next oil change was due. I checked my information menu on the dash and it showed 6% oil life. The oil life indicator has to be manually reset, so both of those may have just been an oversight, but my gut tells me. It sat there all day and they just pencil whipped the work order. They lasted 22,000 miles, they told me I had a lifetime warranty on the pads but needed to pay $145 for labor... I don't mind paying for the labor, but NOT after 22,000 miles. I went down the street and had them done for $130. I will never service my vehicle at Firestone.

I will recount my experiences from the most recent backwards that has happened in the last 6 months. I have a 2015 Crosstrek Subaru. I have chosen to regularly service my vehicles at the Plantation, FL Firestone for many years. This past Sunday was the last time I will go to any Firestone anywhere and this includes my entire family and friends taking my lead never to go the Firestone. I went in on Sat. 9/14/19 because there was a noise on the right side of my car. I was informed that my rear wheel bearings on both rear tires needed to be replaced. I blindly agreed and spent $950. On Sunday, I drove my car and I still hear the the sound and a high pitched noise and I am told the front wheel bearings need to be replaced in both front tires now. I asked if a diagnostic test was performed originally on Sat. to determine what was wrong with the car. I was told NO by Daryl (who works the front desk).
Today I went to the Subaru dealership and they ran a diagnostic. They said the front right side needed replacement and the front left didn't need replacement yet. They also said it was unlikely that all for wheel bearings would be bad at once. So I was duped AGAIN by this Firestone to replace something that didn't need replacing! AT the tune of almost $1000!! FYI: Firestone CC and send me for collection. I will not pay for something I didn't need to pay for. In mid- August I was told by same Firestone store that I needed 4 new tires. I bought them. They gave me 4 tires that were filthy dirty with the stickers still on them and didn't have my tire stems on them (they gave them to me without any stems).
In April this year I was told I needed to get my brake rotors shaved. I did and paid for it. Then in May on those same brakes I am told I need new brakes. I was so angry that they didn't give me the option the month before to have the brakes replaced (I was paying doubly) that I received a discount (not enough) to make up some of the difference. I should have learned long before not to go back but the manager Billy kept talking me into that they are honest.... blah blah blah.. I am done with Firestone!!

August 2, I took my car to Firestone at Westchester (Los Angeles, CA) because it was overheating a little. They replaced sensor and thermostat. Next day, still overheating AND leaking (it didn't leak before), took it back, they replaced radiator gasket. That didn't fix it, had to take it back, they replaced radiator. At this point, I had spent over $700 and still the same problem. After two weeks, August 16th, they tell me the central computer must be broken, but I can drive it because it signals more temperature than it really has. So either that's not right and they don't know what it is, or that was the problem from the beginning and they kept guessing and replacing parts that were not the problem.
I have spent over $700 and I have a car I don't dare to drive. Very disappointing service. I feel that if they had really looked into it from the beginning, they could have told me the central computer was the problem and I could have decided if I wanted to drive it like that or just sell it as junk. The fact that they kept replacing parts and none of them fixed the problem, shows me they don't know what they were doing. I have the documentation from the different visits.

On September 5, 2019 I brought my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee in to the Firestone location at 6615 E NW Hwy, Dallas, TX 75231. I brought it in because it was showing the same symptoms as it was doing on May 21, 2019. This is less than 4 months apart. Each time before bringing in I would run a diagnostic test and the first time in May it was showing a misfire in cylinder #2. I took it in and they said I needed a new spark plug. I had them replace all 6 spark as my vehicle is a 6 cylinder. I went 134,326 miles on the original spark plugs. I wanted the same OEM spark plugs but of course they try to upsell me but still decided to stick with factory standards, I’ll come back to this. The cost for this $558.32. A cost I was perfectly fine spending. On September 5, 2019 I dropped my vehicle off to learn that it is a misfire in cylinder #6. I had driven approx 20,000 miles in that time span. They said all spark plugs had gone bad and needed to be replaced.
I’m not a professional mechanic but I know spark plugs shouldn’t go out after 20,000 miles. This is when the shop decided it did not want to accept responsibility for anything. I was told I put racing fuel in my vehicle. Since when do people put racing fuel in a daily commuter vehicle. First excuse. Then they told me I should’ve purchased the upgraded spark plugs. Last time I checked the originals went over 130K before going out. Second excuse. Then they brought up the one year 12K mile warranty for their service. I get it and I understand about a warranty but also understand spark plugs don’t go out after 20K miles. So they are wanting me to cover the note and it’s actually over $620 this time for the exact same thing.
This shows they do not stand behind their work and have horrible service. The only customer service here is when you are giving them money. I had been coming to this location for any of my car needs since moving to Dallas. I’ve also recommended friends and also brought my girlfriend when she needed a complete brake job done. I was needing other work but I’ll be finding another shop for my car needs while also steering others away from here.
Thank you for contacting Firestone, Andrew. We do apologize for the negative experience you had at our Dallas location. I had my vehicle in for tire repair in mid July. Firestone did a complete 21 pt inspection and advised that my brakes and rotors were great. I drove it for 4k miles and noticed a bad vibration. Took it Ford to find out rotors are warped and brakes were bad as well. When I brought it to the attention of Firestone the Manager Cameron tried to tell me that the rotors warped because of driving it on the highway in the mountains. ANY mechanic worth a grain of salt knows that rotors warp from hard consistent braking which I had done neither of those. I only used the brake pretty much just exiting the highway. My Ford Escape has a "Sport Shifter" where when it's in that mode you can manually up or downshift the transmission and use the engine to slow down your vehicle going down passes and not use the brake at all. I feel like Cameron was trying to sell me a bill of goods because I am a woman.
After I advised that I have a Military mechanical background (diesel mechanic) and have plenty of mechanical knowledge and know how brakes and motors work, I called him on his bluff. I demanded to have the Area Manager's contact information, advised that I will blow up every review site as possible, call the Firestone Corporate Offices and the BBB to file formal complaints if he doesn't make it right and replace the rotors and brakes on Firestone's dime since I was initially told they were great and had the receipt to prove it. Cameron told me there was nothing that he could do. About an hour later I received a phone call saying that Firestone was replacing the brakes and rotors no cost to me and I had to buy new tires that were still under warranty which brought the cost of those to $290 seeing that they only had 24K on them for a 60K tire.
When I picked up my car, I asked Cameron what changed his mind about comping the brake and rotor work and he said it was because of the threats made and how if a guest reports a complaint then that particular Branch won't get their bonus. It's too bad that you can't get a corporation to do the right thing on their own without making threats. Since Cameron DID end up doing the right thing, I will not submit a formal complaint, but I still plan on completing reviews on Google, Yelp, BBB and Firestone's Corporate website. Thank you Cameron and Firestone for making my experience with Firestone end up on a better note than when it started.

Sadden by misleading information. It all started with an appointment. Got there and stated what I needed. I was told that they would check my car for a charge of 10 but if they completed the work then the 10 would be removed. Well it wasn't and when questioned I was told that he already gave a 120 discount which was the special they were offering anyway. So good luck with being given correct information when dealing with them.

Updated on 09/01/2019: I complained about these problems a week ago, and the next day I got a response. I was suppose to hear from a manager a few days later, I never did. At this point I do not care but, will continue to find them to be untruthful, and a major ripoff center. I have heard from my fellow friends and coworkers at Disney who also reported bad service from Firestone. I want all Disney people to understand what I had to say about Firestone and all others. People should avoid them for anything unless you want to be lied to and, overpriced for anything.
Original Review: I went for an alignment then told I needed new bearings or repacking because hubs were loose and Tie rod was bad on Curry Ford Rd. They wanted to charge me 105 dollars for a 16 dollar Tie rod, and 800 dollars in labor. And then 90 dollars for the Alignment. More than a thousand dollars total. The truth was that the Hubs are not bad and only one inner Tie rod is poor. The lug nuts were not as tight as needed and the tires need replacing. The alignment can be done and tires replaced for less than half they wanted to charge me. These people are good at telling half truths. I dealt with these people before for just tires on Semoran Blvd They replaced my tires and then dented my door and then lied about it. The damage was 1700 dollars which I almost needed to sue before they fixed the door. When going to Firestone check with other people before getting the work done or you might be ripped off.

I spoke with the manager at this location and he was very understanding. I explained to him that I wasn't asking for a full refund because my truck did operate as it should for 3 weeks. I think the problem may have been a faulty aftermarket intake manifold. We agreed to a 50% refund. Thanks Steve for understanding and keeping me posted every step of the way since speaking with you.

I took my Ford F-150 to Firestone on 07/15/2019 after my truck started rough idling and weak acceleration. The check engine light was also blinking. I dropped it off around 5pm and they called me back on 7/16 at 10:31 AM to ask if I've ever had the spark plugs replaced. I told them no. The employee said he asked me about the spark plugs because the diagnostic code P0304 did not tell them the issue. He suggested that I have the spark plugs replaced. He said the total with labor and an oil change I requested would be around $550. I told him to proceed with the job.
He called me back at 12:06 PM and said the intake manifold was cracked and that spark plug #3 is stripped and can't be replaced. He said that my truck has the rough idle because coolant was coming out of the cracked manifold and going into the spark plugs. He advised that the manifold would have to be ordered and truck would be complete on 7/17. He also advised that my trans cooler is leaking and he demanded to take it to Ford as they can't repair it. I asked him if the trans cooler leak was associated with the issue at hand and he replied "No". He also suggested for them to replace front sway bar. I told him I would get that done when I take my truck to Ford for the trans cooler leak. He gave me a total of $1,900 to change oil, replace spark plugs, and intake manifold with labor. I advised him to proceed.
I was called at 8:12 AM on 7/17 and was told that my truck was ready. I picked it up and everything was fine. On 8/6, my truck started the same exact issue again. I called Firestone at 12:15 PM to advise of the issue. I explained that my diagnosis seemed to be inaccurate. The employee told me that he would tell his manager and he would follow up by calling me. I got off of work at 4:00 PM and had not received a call. I stopped by the location and the young man who assisted me said that he totally forgot to follow up with me. He said his manager told him to set me up for a quality assurance inspection. He expressed that they were pretty much slammed for the next couple of days and that I could drop it back off on 8/8 between 9AM and 11AM. On this date and time, I was unable to drop off my truck because my wife was in a meeting.
I called Firestone and rescheduled the drop off for 8/10 at 1PM. I told the employee that I didn't need it back until Sunday before close. I received a call on Sunday, 8/11 and was told that coil #5 was bad. The gentleman said the total would be $220. I told him to replace the coil. So, I received a second call at 1:13 PM and was told that the coil was replaced and the truck still has the rough idle. He said that the lead technician would be in the next morning on 8/12 and they want him to check if the truck is suffering from low compression.
I waited all day Monday and never received a call. I called the location at 4:09 PM and was placed on hold by three different people (one being the manager). A young lady picked up and said that her manager was unable to talk because he was on a conference call and would call me back. Surprisingly, he returned my call at 4:27 PM to tell me that my truck was touched. He said that he wants the lead technician to look at it, but doesn't know when he'll get the chance because he has 6 other jobs he needs to finish from the weekend. I told him I'll await the follow up.
Today is 8/13. I worked a full day and didn't hear anything from Firestone. I stopped by the location at 4:35 PM and requested the manager. He came out and advised that the truck is suffering low compression and that they will have to remove the cylinder to figure out the problem. He emphasized that the removal is very hard work. I immediately asked for the key to my truck and a refund for the $2000 I wasted. He told me that he couldn't refund me the money, but wouldn't charge me for replacing cylinder 5 (second misdiagnosis). He said that if he were me, he wouldn't drive the truck in that condition. I advised that I can't leave my truck there forever and a day either without receiving follow ups to let me know what's going on.
So here I am now...out of $2000. I noticed that the notes from today's receipt say 'cylinder 5 is now fine' when there wasn't an issue with it. Firestone's final conclusion is cylinder 7 is the bad cylinder with low compression. At this point, I am ready to fight to the end for a refund (at least 50%). I am going to attempt to contact headquarters and if no positive results, legal action it is. This is ridiculous to strong arm rob people by guessing what's wrong with a vehicle.

10 months ago I had Firestone replace my SUV’s power steering hose. When I dropped the car off I was told 3-4 hours. I returned 8 hours after work and the car was in the bay closest to the window of the shop. Parts had been taken off of the top of the engine, right wheel well and underneath the car, the mechanic was working on my car and assisting in another work bay next to mine and the general feeling walking in was stressful from customers and floor service staff alike. I was told that it was taking more time than expected because they had no idea how hard it was going to be to get to the hose.
Long story short the car finally was finished and a short time later I started hearing noises under the car at higher speeds but attributed it to the car's age (my mistake) as I just had it checked at another shop and found out that the rear engine mount bolts had been loosened and never retightened. The car is now back at Firestone to be looked at and I was told that they are taking my word for it (currently) that nobody else worked on the car but needed to look at it before they decided whether charging me to fix it. If just tightening the bolts then no problem but if damage has been done then not sure who will cover it. Probably me? Customers beware!!!!

When they had my truck in the back I saw my truck go on the lift and back down, figuring that they were done and I could take my truck. Then my truck went back up. So I waited and waited. Finally at 530 (store closed at 5) I finally saw my truck come down again. The man pulled my truck out and pulled it up to the front. He said, "I talked to my manager and we won’t be charging you." Well I pulled out of the parking lot to make a left hand turn and my truck started to grind. I ended up taking It to a different mechanic for them to tell me that my truck was lifted up the wrong way. So now I have damage under the front of my truck. I will never ever go there again or ever recommend anyone to go there.

I brought my Saturn Vue in for diagnostics last week to the Brookfield Wi. Firestone, the engine is making a clicking or ticking sort of noise that comes and goes. The technician said he didn't hear what I was talking about, but did say another tech had heard something like what I described earlier (so why couldn't they figure out what was going on then?). But he couldn't hear anything right then at that time. It wasn't making the noise by the time I picked up the car either, so I asked if I could bring it back when it started making noise again but the tech said firmly NO! "Take it to a dealer, it's probably internal and we don't do internal work here!"
Now, looking at the website, it clearly says "complete auto care". So why was I told to take it to a dealer??? Anyway, all I was really looking for was a diagnosis. To say it must be internal is just ridiculous, engine noise can come from many different things and are not always due to internal failures. It just really seemed strange that he didnt even want to do the diagnostics, even though he said he and another guy looked at it, he wasnt going to charge me, just wanted me to take my car and go somewhere else. So I did. I took it somewhere else and paid them to tell me what was wrong.
As soon as I told the mechanic what engine I had and what the sound was like, he said he had a good idea what it was and asked me to hang out for a few minutes while he put it up on the lift. He brought me out to the car while it was running and had me put put a mechanics stethoscope up against a part on the engine, it was making the clicking noise I have been hearing. I asked him what that part is and he told me it is the timing belt tensioner. That's when I realized why the tech at Firestone wanted me to go away, I had them replace my timing belt kit about two years ago, he didnt want to have to do the job because it would have been under warranty!
Needless to say, I am VERY upset about this. They wasted my time by not doing a proper diagnostic, he lied to me and told me Firestone doesnt do that kind of work, and my engine could have been destroyed if the timing belt broke or jumped time. And on top of all that, I wasted more time and money taking my car to another mechanic to do the diagnostics that the tech at Firestone didn't do in the first place. I will be taking my car back there in the morning and they better take care of it as warranty work in a timely fashion.

Took car in for inspection 3/22/19 at Firestone in High Point NC on Eastchester Drive. Told brakes were bad (no sign of problems when I took it in). I was told by the manager I could drive it home and park it, and drive it back when I wanted to repair brakes. He asked me to check the brake pedal, and I told him it went down more but it didn't before I came in. He told me to pull up emergency brake if problems. Backing out the brakes gave, my foot slipped onto the accelerator, started moving faster but brake gave and I couldn't stop the car--pulled up e-brake too. My car was old, (2002) ended up being totaled. I received little money from the insurance company due to its age.
Local Firestone sent their report to the claims department and put nothing in the report that I trusted the manager--that was why I was in the car to start with. This place took my car and my independence. I have spent hundreds on rental cars, called on friends, walked, whatever it took to get there. They knew I was a widow--75 years old. I am not stupid, but I feel like I have been "had". If the brakes were faulty why did the manager tell me I could drive it home? My mistake--- I trusted them, then they don't report the true story. I am not trying to cause trouble. They can all keep their jobs. I just want money to buy a decent used car. It is shameful people would lie like this. I was raised with honesty and integrity and I guess I was stupid enough to think Firestone employees would do the same. I hope you will make this right. Sincerely, Priscilla **

1. Liar: I am asked to come to this store and said they have tire in stock and will be replaced soon. When I arrived, I noticed from the phone calls they were making that they were bringing tire from another store. After every 5 min I was told that the lady who is bringing tire is on her way and is stuck in traffic, I googled and saw that the store is just 10 min away from this Eastchase Firestone store. Full 3 hours of lies. I got it , but I specifically told them that I want to leave by 430 pm and they said no problem. My tire did not even arrive at 425 pm and on confronting manager got mad and said, "You can leave and take your car away." I said, "Put my flat tire back so that I can drive back," and they put it back but my car was not driveable as it was not put in right.
2. Rude and disrespectful behavior: manager was not polite during the whole interaction. During my 3 hours of stay at Firestone I was not offered any water, tea, or any drink or any nice place to sit or watch TV. This is the first place I have seen where customers are treated so badly. Manager came out of the office towards my car and started threatening, when I said I have to talk to corporate office. He said, "You better shut up and not tell anyone about this," or else he will not service my car.
3. Bad customer service: no water or any drink offered. No place to sit as place was crowded with people. No working charging stations for our phones. No smile or greeting on arrival, and no communication about progress of the work. When I arrived I told them that I have to be at some place for some important work, if they can drop me off until they fix my car. They said they don't have any car to take me anywhere and no one was available.
4. I am extremely furious and upset about the whole experience and wished I would not have visited Firestone, which I am not going to visit again. I came to the Firestone at Poplar and Highland in Memphis TN. I needed a new battery and one lead. I told the gentleman that I would have to wait because I needed to get to work. It took over 4 1/2 hours. He gave me no clue that it would be that long.

STORE #308521 Plantation, FL. I made an appointment on Friday July 12 2019 for the purchase and installation of 2 tires the following morning Sat 13 2019 at 10:00 AM. I dropped off the car at 9:55 AM. According to the paperwork, the car would be ready at 12:00 PM (2 hours after drop-off). Having received no call by 2:00 PM (4 hours past drop-off and 2 hours past estimated completion), I called the store and was told that my car was "next in line". Yet another 1 1/2 hours (5 1/2 hours after drop-off and 3 1/2 hours past estimated completion and pick-up), I walked back to the store in 90 degree weather only to find my car still sitting in the original "customer parking" space that I had used when I dropped off the car 5 1/2 hours earlier.
The car had never even been moved to a repair staging area or inside the garage to be worked on. There was only 1 lift out of 6 being used and only 1 mechanic working on a car. The other 2 mechanics and the customer "service" manager were in the front office casually speaking to each other. There were no customers waiting in the office waiting for their cars. The customer service manager didn't even bother to make an excuse or apologize. I asked for my car keys back and drove off without new tires. The only thing I could think of is that the huge sign on my back window condemning Donald Trump for recent atrocities being committed down at the southern border to migrants made me ripe to be subjected to discrimination by Firestone solely based on my political views.
While I can understand the business decision that Firestone Corporate has made to not offend the majority of their customer base, it still appears that this was DISCRIMINATION BY FIRESTONE SOLELY ON THE BASIS OF MY POLITICAL VIEWS. AS I UNDERSTAND IT, THE FIRESTONE MOTTO IS "We’re proud of our 115-year history of innovation, service, and quality"; Really?

I blew about 435 dollars on two new pairs of tires. Not only did they take around 4 hours to apply them the alignment was absolutely horrible. My tires wore out in about a month and they absolutely declined it. They told me that I needed to buy a new pair of tires and an alignment from them and that if I just wanted an alignment they wouldn't do it because my tires were so worn. I was so disrespected because the man whom I was talking to told me that I was hot-ridding the car because of how worn the tires which is absolutely untrue. Not only is it absolutely out of his line to assume that when I told him that it was impossible and that I "baby" the car he told me, "hmm, sure" in a sarcastic attitude and quickly changed the subject. I will never come here again and this is the second time I deal with people of this attitude and it's only been my second visit. Horrible staff horrible mechanics.

This service center has the worst attitudes. You call and schedule an appointment and they never get you in on your appointment. This is the 3rd time we have sat for over 2 hours after our scheduled appointment even when they told us to come earlier. They are rude. Never tell you anything. We never will go there again.

I was at Firestone, North Wales, PA today (July 08, 2019). Went in for ac issues. AC stopped working in my car. Everything was ok until I wanted to use a coupon from Firestone website. The associate named Frank billed me 39.99 for an AC performance check. I then tried using a coupon from Firestone website (9.99 for the same check) (https://www.firestonecompleteautocare.com/offers/offer-detail/accheck-1906). This associate then consulted other associates to check if I can use this coupon. He then started behaving extreme rude and unprofessional. He just ignored me and started attending the next customer. I was there for him to apply the coupon and take a receipt. I interrupted him and asked for the receipt. He then applied my coupon and ignored me again.
While I wasn't done, he was trying to help the next customer. I again interrupted him and asked for a receipt. He brought the receipt from printer and just left it in front of me and started to talk with the next customer. He made me feel terrible. I once again interrupted him and said I do not want my car serviced here and asked for my car keys. Frank was extremely unprofessional, rude. He shouldn't be a customer service associate. He doesn't have the basic skills of how to treat a customer. I used Firestone in multiple states, but never had such a horrific experience like this. I do not recommended anyone to deal with this associate at this location.

I went in for a brake job and after 2 returns trips including a letter to the complaint department the issue of soft brakes has never been resolved. The funny thing about this is they asked me to take it somewhere else for a second opinion. Ford charges 180.00, I was not about to pay Ford that a job Firestone should of done correctly.

Firestone in Sterling VA charged me 75 dollars to change a reverse light bulb that took them less than a minute. I will not go back. What is more they never told me the price and when they did the work before I agreed to.

I have been going to Firestone in Palm Harbor, Florida for many years. I own a 2002 Lincoln Aviator and new parts are difficult to find and rebuilt ones are not always up to par. Kelly and Nathan have gone out of their way to find these parts for me and making sure the car is in top running order. My experience with both of these gentlemen has been excellent! They are definitely an asset to the Company and that is why I am taking the time to let others know that they can trust the Firestone Palm Harbor store. Thank you very much Kelly and Nathan!
Thank you for sharing your experience at our Palm Harbor location, Sue. We are always happy to hear from our valued customers. ^Miguel

Got a puncture in my new wheel - a simple small nail through the tread. Took the wheel to the service center for a simple puncture repair. What could possibly go wrong? 4hrs later got call - puncture is not done - "we have ripped the tirewall, please come and look." Sure enough big 8 rip through new tire. How did that happen? No answer. "We can fit new tire. However it's the wrong size, so only temp fix and we will order you a new one to replace the ripped one."
2 days later. "We have your new tire." Visit the repairer, wrong tire! "We will order correct one today and fit that one later today." Call to have it fitted - tomorrow or next day. "We are busy." Kick up a fuss and the tire is replaced on the same day. So here's the cost of incompetence; Loss to Firestone 3 tires @ $250 each -$750 plus labor. Loss to me; 4 additional visits, 3 wheel changes and about 4 hrs of lost time. Just for a silly nail and a simple puncture repair.
I am still baffled by this level of incompetence. Are the techs being trained? What skill levels need to be demonstrated before Firestone techs are let loose on YOUR car? Are we beginning to see the effects of legalised drugs - where many workers are high and dopey? Make AMERICA great again! Cuts the BS and just deliver what your job requires.
