Made an appointment for brake inspection/repair. The appointment was confirmed via email. I called to confirm the confirmation, and was told they had no time to perform the inspection and repairs that day. No reason given. However I was given an appointment for the following day (for a drop off time). I called before the drop off time to confirm the confirmation, just to be 100% sure they were going to work on the car (the second day). The confirmation was confirmed. I show up with the car, they tell me they don't work that brand of cars. The 2 confirmation emails and 2 verbal confirmations meant nothing. I wouldn't let them work.

Good evening. I am filling a complaint concerning Firestone Complete Auto Care Store # 007641. I went to your facility on Saturday 9/9/23. I went in due to my vehicle temperature gauge was going to HOT and my A/C was not working properly. They called me Sunday 9/10/23 and told me my vehicle was ready. I got there and drove to the stop sign, and it went back to overheating. Left it with them again. On Monday 9/11/23 called me again to say my vehicle is ready. Took it home, it was fair. Thursday morning 9/14/23, on my way to work, all types of signals were going off. Went right back to Firestone. Left it with you guys all day again. Got off work to see what the issue is, to hear NOW that it's my ignition switch and it need to go to the dealership. But charged me 1610.50 for an issue you should have notice the first time or other times. I am very upset, and my car is still having issues. I want to know how you guys are going to resolve my issue. This is unacceptable.

Have been using Firestone in Arnold Mo. since they opened years ago, my last 4 appointments for oil changes have been canceled 1 hour before my appointment time, after the appointment was set 1 or 2 days earlier, this place has become a complete joke, it’s one excuse after another. I even contacted the headquarters, and after a long conversation with a guy there he said might be better off going somewhere else. That a hell of a way to treat a customer of about 20 years!!! So I am looking for another oil and tire shop!!!! UNBELIEVABLE way to run a business!!!!

Work order: 276377 Store #: 028444 Service Advisor: 13 PARKER. I’m Derand **, and I have lost trust in Firestone Complete Auto Care. I don’t believe they have been truthfully and they have been extremely deceiving. They have had my car 4 days going on 5 now. I booked an appointment for my 2010 Audi A6 with Firestone Complete Auto care located at 10553 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32257-6208 for September 3rd 2023 at 1200 est. I booked the appointment because I suspected a small leak of antifreeze from my vehicle. I say small because it didn’t leak on to the ground. I only noticed it because every 4 or 5 days for 3 weeks, my low coolant alert would come on and I would add more coolant.

I made my appointment with Firestone and explained the same. The employee acknowledged and said they can’t run leak test and let me know where the leak is coming from. Later that day Firestone called and said I needed to replace the water pump, as it was the issue and had the leak. I agreed for to the repairs over the phone. I was told the part had to be ordered and will be in on Monday. On Monday, September 4th, toward the end of the work day nearing 4 pm, I received a call from Firestone. The employer stated that they can’t complete the work due to my car having a supercharger (which is standard factory for my vehicle) and explain they don’t do work on supercharges. I was told it would need to be taken to the Audi dealership.

He also asked has anyone done any work to my engine. I felt that to be odd, but I answered “no” because no one had. I asked why and he stated it looked like it had been. So then said no again and asked were the mechanics able to reassemble my vehicle. He said that no one took anything apart and that no one touched it. I questioned his statement, and he doubled down that no one touched my car. He told me there would be no charge for the leak test or the part that was order and that I can come pick-up my car.

My wife leaves work early to take me to get my vehicle, we arrived about 20 minutes before closing. The explains the same and again tells me no one touched the car. I get my keys to retrieve my car. Before I started my car I wanted to check my coolant level because the things told to me didn’t make sit right nor make a lot of sense to me. I look at my coolant level and it was extremely low. It was full when I drove it to them. I went to put more coolant in the reservoir tank. When I touch the tank to remove the top, I notice the tank moved to freely, it wasn’t firmly secure as it once was. I then notice a hose coming from the tank dangling and detached from something going into the engine. I also see coolant spilled about the bottom area of the engine.

I immediate go back inside and notify the employees. The manager came out and looked for himself and said, "Oh man I see it, this is probably your problem. Don’t worry we will order a new hose and replace it." "You told me no one touched my car, it clearly look as if someone did." He said “I was told it wasn’t touch but I see what you are saying, but no worries we will order another hose”. I had to call my wife back to come pick me up from Firestone.

On Tuesday September 5th, I received a call from Firestone. The employee told me that a claim had been made for my vehicle and they are waiting on a decision to come back to tell them what to do with my vehicle. I didn’t understand why a claim needed to be made. I asked, "Why is there a claim if you didn’t touch my vehicle?" The employee tapped danced around my questions and told me it was out of their hands essentially and claims will be contacting me. Today, September 6th, I reached out to Firestone for a status of my vehicle. No status, other than a claim is in. I have yet to receive a call from claims. I told the employee that was unacceptable and I have been without my vehicle for 4 days. I don’t have an alternate car. I asked will Firestone assist in rental and he said no.

I am a retired Navy Officer of 23yrs, I know when someone is blowing smoke. This is exactly what Firestone is doing. I believe they attempted to work on my vehicle and ran into issues but will not disclose that to me. My car is a standard 2010 Audi A6 with no modifications. Before Firestone began the leak test to determine my they should have known and/or looked at the factory specifications of my vehicle to see it was a supercharger, not to mention it’s a badge on the side of the car that says supercharger. They continue to order a part that they believed I needed to make repairs without verifying if they can install it. Once the part arrived, it was suddenly discovered that my car has a supercharger, and they can’t do the work…I don’t believe it!

They then question me on if anyone had done engine work to my vehicle…nonsense! I believe they attempted to work on my vehicle and couldn’t repair it so they button it back up. However, they didn’t tighten down the coolant reserve tank as it once was and somehow detached the hose leading from the reserve tank to the engine (it is detached from the engine side). I feel they are trying to manipulate me. This is completely unacceptable. I have been a loyal customer at this Firestone for 3yrs. I have always taken my wife car there. This was the first I have taken my Audi. That was against my better judgment, but I figured what’s the harm in just finding the leak.

Well going on 5 days later without my transportation…it was significant harm. I was able to drive my car there, but I can’t drive it away because of something they have done. I want my car the hose put back intact, and car fixed. I have to find a ride to work due to Firestone negligence. This is shameful for an established auto mechanic establishment.

Date of service is 9/5/23. I discovered an unethical practice in the company. They are cheating customers by marking up parts by over 150% with no explanation. In addition, not honoring their price match commitment. At today’s visit they charged me $397 for part “19084 DURALAST STARTER” which is an AutoZone part priced at $159. I was at their mercy since my car was towed. **

This is above a 150% markup. In addition, they charged 1.5 hour for the work when in fact the national labor guide stated .8 of an hour. To make matters worse, they claim to price match which they clearly did not honor. This is false advertising. Even after showing them the lower prices on the manufacturer’s website they declined to honor the lower price. It was the exact same part. I've opened Firestone Corporate requesting full investigation of the situation. This is so wrong.

Zero rating. In January of 2020 I purchased new tires at this location with a 70,000 mile warranty. Two days ago, my tire pressure warning light was on, so I went to Firestone, and they filled my tires. I asked the gentleman to check my tires as I am planning to go on a road trip. He suggested that I replace the tires as they are 6 years old, manufactured in 2017. I asked him to look in his computer for my purchase history. He did and stated there was nothing in the computer. I was concerned but asked that he give me a quote for new tires. He explained they were having a sale beginning in September, so I would receive $100 off the purchase price. I booked an appointment in September.

I went home, found my receipt and the next day, yesterday I went back to Firestone. I spoke to a different individual and asked why I would need to replace tires that I purchased here in 2020 with a 70000-mile warranty and only drove about 20,000 miles on these tires. He needed to take a look at the tires, he made the same recommendation to replace the tires. He stated that the tires are past 6 years and they should be replaced. I also asked if they were trying to take advantage of a senior citizen or female. I asked to speak to the manager.

Well Edward was the individual who I spoke with yesterday. Edward approached and said oh yeah, I remember you from yesterday. I showed him my receipt for the tire purchased in 2020. He stated he was not here in 2020 and the information did not show on the computer yesterday. Edward was rude and very unprofessional throwing my receipt back at me. I have since filed a complaint with Firestone Corporate Office, Yelp, Google Reviews and Trustpilot. I will continue to file complaints against Firestone as I do feel as if I was sold an inferior product and they do not stand by what they sell.

This is in reference to the Firestone at 10501 S Parker Rd in Parker, CO. I had my brakes replaced here one month ago because they were due to be replaced and heard it was cheaper to get them replaced outside a brand-specific dealership. First issue is they took forever to look at my car. What’s the point of scheduling an early morning appointment if you’re not even gonna look at the car until I return 2-3 hours later to ask you the status? Then, once I begin driving the car on the highway the whole thing shakes violently and even worse when braking.

I take the car back to them to see what the issue is. They take forever to look at it and I’m not sure if they even would’ve called me if I didn’t call them an hour before they closed (again had an early morning appointment). Then they tell me that it’s shaking because I used excessive braking for the first 600 miles of having the car. Makes NO sense. Because it NEVER did that before THEY worked on it. They offer to replace the brakes, but say it’s not covered under warranty because the cause was attributed to me. Then they say even if they replace the brakes they can’t guarantee it won’t begin shaking again. What horse **!

I just took it to the actual brand dealership of the car to get it serviced who said that Firestone on Parker Rd did an “UNACCEPTABLE” job at replacing my brakes and that they recommended I go back to let them know about it and get the problem rectified. Went back to Firestone to tell them what the dealership service department said and they, again, blame it on me. So that’s over $1000 I’m out of because of Firestone’s incompetence. Wish I would’ve just taken the car to my brand’s dealership in the first place so I didn’t have to pay for them cleaning up the useless work Firestone did. I will never take my car to another Firestone. Take some damn accountability!

Took my car there to replace the door handle. When they called me several days later to pick up the car, I found a "green" door handle on my "silver" car. It looked awful. They told me they do not do painting, and that I had to go paint the door handle somewhere else. Besides, I found a "check engine light" sign on the dashboard that was not there before. How can you return a car to a customer with a check engine light without any explanation? I refused to bring the car back to them because I know this is one of their habits, maybe to charge customers more.

They also left a very sticky glu-like liquid on the car that could not be removed after I took the car to the car wash. Had to get it brushed (maybe I should say scratched off) by a car wash attendant. Needless to say, they did not deem necessary to clean the car before I picked it up. All that for a price I would not even want to say here. Please avoid Firestone!!!! The government should really investigate these people, they have hurt too many customers.

I took my car in for repairs after my oil was leaking. I paid for a Complete Car Inspection which wasn't done. The informed me I needed an oil filter housing and an oil change. Had they done their job properly especially when they did the oil change they would have seen that there was radiator fluid and metal shavings in the oil. That means I would have needed a head gasket and new engine. Instead they did unnecessary repairs and charged me a ton of money. My car broke down after less than 48 hours of having it "serviced " at Firestone. They refuse to take responsibility for this. They have horrible reviews and subpar service and charging $ for unnecessary service repairs. My car was junked 3 days after service. They never should've repaired my car if they had been honest instead they just wanted my money.

I have had a Firestone credit card for decades, this year they changed the card to a MasterCard to where you can use it anywhere that accepts Mastercard. I activated the new card and it confirmed its activation and have a $450 balance due. That I always pay on time, and I always pay more than the minimum amount due. I went to make a purchase online at Target, my second purchase with this card and my card was repeatedly declined. Target was of no help, foreign reps could not grasp the problem.

So I called CFNA, more foreign reps. They said they sent me a text and email to confirm my purchase. They said they sent me a verification text to my listed phone number... It was my landline! I said how can I receive a text on the landline, she said, "We called and you did not answer." I said it is because I am not home, how am I supposed to answer my landline if I am not home. Then she claimed that they sent me an email to verify my card (which mind you, I already did when I received it). When she confirmed my email address I told her I haven't had that email for decades. She wanted an alternative email and a textable phone number. I said, "I don’t want you texting or emailing me." I gave them to her anyway, but reiterated they were not to contact me on my private, personal information.

Then she demanded that I send them a copy of my driver's license or they would not reactivate my card. I said I am not doing that, I don't want my personal ID information on yet another computer that can be hacked. I advised her that Oregon Motor Vehicles was just hacked and our photos and state ID numbers and partial SS# were compromised. I told her this is the 5th time my info was breached by a company who claimed to be encrypted. She would not reactivate my card. Tell me this, after $450 in verifiable purchases were they insisting I re-verify the new card, when they activated it over the phone and let prior charge go through.

CFNA needs to lose their banking license. I need my card to keep my car running so I can get to much needed medical appts.

My total bill after they applied a $10 coupon on "my behalf" was $171.50. When I asked for an explanation, it was due to the "European Oil Needed" for my car. Ok, they put Penzoil in my car! I called Bmw of Plano and it would have cost me $151.62 at the dealership! The local Kwik Kar in Lucas, Tx gave me a price of $102.85 with the same "European Penzoil". National Firestone contacted the store and their reason is "Store policy" not to repair or honor the warranty because it was plugged somewhere else. Local store only wants to sell a new tire and pro rate it. The local Firestone store is making their own warranty terms that is not on the Firestone national site and not in accordance with the written warranty that was bought. Other Firestone store stated they would honor the warranty and patch the tire.

IF 0 STARS WAS AN OPTION, THAT'S WHAT I'D GIVE! On Aug. 25, 2022, we were told we needed to purchase 4 new tires and it was recommended to purchase a lifetime alignment by Rob, the sales representative at the front counter. We agreed and paid $758.69, however, they failed to notify me that the rim was cracked when they put tires on the car. When I took the car back because the tire on the cracked rim kept going flat, I was then notified of the cracked rim and it needed to be replaced. I then got the rim replaced and brought the vehicle back to have the tire they just put on the car replaced. We have been going back and forth since Dec. and they are now failing to replace the 2 rear tires as they are bald. How are 50k mile tires bald in 4 months with only 2k miles on them?

Firestone charged me for 4 "new" tires, yet the rear tires are a different brand, not the brand we purchased. So with that, they charged me for 4 "new" tires, only placed 2 "new" tires on the vehicle and rotated the original tires to the rear, thus why they are bald and now needing replacement. Instead of honoring the purchase, they are refusing and attempting to charge us another $450 for 2 more tires? They then claim an alignment is needed, but didn't acknowledge the lifetime alignment that was purchased on Aug. 25 and paid for Aug. 30? This horrific behavior is known as fraud, theft, fraudulent inducement, violation of DTPA and Consumer laws! I expect this to be rectified IMMEDIATELY!

If I was able to give zero stars - I would. Don’t trust them anymore. Long time customer of this location, just shy of 20 years. I never really received extremely poor service, most times my husband took car in. This management team does not respect people’s time or concerns. They don’t care if you come back and feel they have cornered the market in auto service. They are taking the Firestone name and dragging it in the mud. They don’t stand by their warranties or word. I purchase four new tires five months before this last incident. Which means everything is under warranty and I purchased extra standard alignment warranty at time of tire purchase. I have been communicating with very nice customer service people in the complaint department over the phone for three weeks and they keep telling me area manager or division manager would call me back. No one has ever called back.

The current scenario: Took four days to fix a tire with a slow leak. Was lied to when I asked about the alignment being completed. Was told alignment was complimentary due to excessive wait. Took vehicle to another location and was given proof work was not done as stated. When I went into location for remedy, I was all but told I was lying. Toby and Tim, both managers, were rude and condescending. Treated me differently than other customers. Told me work would be done in seven days and told person in front of me, work would be completed end of day.

Asked for reimbursement for alignment and balancing and was told by Tim “Why should I have to pay for something you weren’t sure you even needed”. Don’t support this location. Also must mention, those surveys Firestone ALWAYS sends after your recent visit/service . Well, interestingly after three weeks I have not received a survey to tell about my visit. Perhaps they don’t want to hear or perhaps the customer service rankings are already so bad they don’t want to add more complaints. Either way, after 20 years of receiving requests for feedback - I have not received anything!

I took my car in to have my CV Axels replaced and they put in the wrong parts and caused my transmission to go out. I had to have my car towed to the dealership the next day. The dealership immediately called to asked who did my axles. The dealership said the wrong axles were installed which ruined my transmission. Firestone of course tried to blame Auto Zone and the dealership, but it ultimately comes down to the tech who installed my Axels. Firestone gave the wrong VIN for the parts. Firestone finally accepted liability and said they would pay 100% of the repairs. The dealership is trying to get payment but can't get ahold of anyone for payment.

Robert the Firestone claims adjuster is not answering his phone or returning calls. I do rideshare for a living, and I am out 3 weeks of wages because of Firestone's mistake. All I get is I'm sorry but sorry doesn't pay the bills. Please do not take your car to them. It is not worth the risk. My 1st experience with Firestone was an alternator problem but they said it was fine and the next day my car died in the middle of a busy intersection. I had it towed to the dealership, and they said it was my alternator. I gave Firestone a 2nd chance at a different location, and they ruined my transmission. 7900.00 in repairs and now they are giving the dealership the run a round on payment after they agreed to. I am looking into getting legal representation.

Came first serve at 07:30 (no customers) and was told to leave the car they would "try" by late afternoon. Did not inspect the vehicle until the next morning. Failed the vehicle on "steering" on an imagination state requirement. The steering wheel was not "straight enough" although the Va Inspection manual specifically stated failure is on modification, play, or operation. The manager was flippant and felt he did not have to point out to repair and that I needed to take it to the dealer (really). So there is no mechanical reason for the dealer to correct. I went online and bought my daughter 4 tires, I added all the bells and whistles so that she wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket. This is the first time I have used Firestone since we are new to the Raleigh NC area. I spoke with the shop on Monday and she went in on Tuesday to have the tires put on. When they were finished, they told her she owed them 115.00. She paid them then called me because I have done this for her every year for over 10 years and she never has to pay out of pocket.

So I contacted the store for a 2nd time and they told me that the tire I had purchased to be shipped to the store wasn't in stock and that they chose another tire to ship without contacting me. I wasn't notified at time of purchase on 12/09 and we had to wait for install for it to ship. The store upsold the tire, installed it, and then notified us after the work had been completed that there was a 115.00 difference in price. They got us this time but will never get my business again. If I had been told at time of purchase it wasn't in stock or even when the store got the tire in on Monday the 19th that the tire wasn't what was ordered but they intentionally baited and switched... BAD BAD business practice.

Firestone complete Auto Care at 16556 Bernardo Center Dr. San Diego, CA 92128. This place used to be ExpressTire and got acquired by Firestone. The service is getting worse under Firestone ownership. First of all, they will charge diagnose fee for most of the repair. You have to pay the fee even if they can't fix it. This was one time (6/8/2022), I sent my car for repair of "check engine light", They couldn't fix it and I paid $50. That was a waste of time and money and I had to go to other repair shop to repair and the Firestone's diagnose was useless and Firestone knew that. And I spent time to argue with the service manager, but it got me no nowhere since the manager gave me all kind of reasons not to refund the diagnose charge.

I went there again on 12/10/2022 for replacement of radiator. I called first to get the quote, it quoted as $799. When I went to the service desktop, the manager mentioned they would charge me a diagnose fee and I began to argue with this kind of diagnose fee and saying that if for some reason my car cannot be repaired, can I have the diagnose fee waived? I did not understand his "not so straightforward answer" and later became an argument. Very soon, he told me to go away, he did not want to do business with me. To sum up: do not go to Firestone to do any repair since they may not be able to perform the service you want, and you may lose time and money (diagnose fee) for getting nothing.

I brought my Infinity QX60 into Firestone for 2 new tires and an oil change. Unfortunately the oil change didn't occur and after a few months my oil pump light came on. I brought it to infinity who after research said the oil was sludge and compromised the engine. I had to have it replaced. I filed a claim with Bridgestone and the case manager let me know that the site in Rock Hill, SC did indeed change my oil and since I didn't give them first right to look at the engine they couldn't help me. I told them that when light comes on for something under warranty I bring it to Infinity since it is a newer vehicle. They said they had an invoice showing it was changed but I showed them that the original filter was still in the car which was what the claims person said was changed. The idiot then said that infinity could have said anything to get me to change the engine and they wouldn't cover the cost (Are you kidding me).

Basically this idiot said infinity would just make it up and put a stock filter in to get an engine change. When I told him that he is basically calling Infinity liars he said if I had a problem to send my Lawyer to talk to him. Unbelievable what a piece of crap this guy is. And to top it all off I filed a Better Business Bureau claim against them and the BBB came back and said Bridgestone doesn't take BBB complaints. Then I got a lawyer with experience with Bridgestone and he told me Bridgestone keeps things in courts until consumers quit trying due to the cost of battling them. They would rather piss off consumers and screw them over vs doing what is right I guess. I will never use them again and definitely will ensure nobody I connect with does either. For the 15K they are screwing me over, I guess the best thing I can do is make sure I lose them as much in sales as possible. Plus it puts consumers in a better position working with quality companies.

My alignment and simple all around check turned into a disaster and honestly it all felt like a scam. I always receive a call of something to have fixed other than what my original visit is. I always decline because as a female I typically have to get 2nd sometimes 3rd opinions because it is very common to be taken advantage of. Tanner contacted me and informed me of my battery going low and a few other things. My total would jump from under $15 to over $500. I selected one of the things on his list to go ahead and fix. When I went to pick up my vehicle, it did not start. As soon as I mentioned it to Tanner he did not seemed surprised and simply asked if I wanted a jump.

Long story short, 2 days later, and after another $300+ (and not through Firestone since I refused any further services,) my car finally worked. I did state that it was very funny that all of a sudden it did not work after I was told that it was low. And per 2 other trusted individuals, I believe my battery was not working on purpose, not due to my maintenance on it. Also, any time someone (not aware who,) looked at my battery at Firestone, it was never put back together properly.

My recommendations for anyone, especially women, stay with your vehicle while they work on it if possible. Verify everything has been done properly and do not trust them. This isn't the first time with this company that I have been suggested additional work on my vehicle. Do your research on better options and most definitely someone who is willing to bet you wrong probably for egotistic purposes. Stay woke!

Updated on 12/08/2022: Again for second time since I filed this complaint someone said I would be contacted and again nothing. How many more times are they going to lie? Firestone completely showed what a bad company they are! Charged me for routers on 1st invoice then on 2nd invoice they claim I refused but mechanic claims he did them for free?

Updated on 12/02/2022: Contacted by Bridgestone thru this review asking for specific info so this could be escalated to regional manager regarding my complaint. That was on November 30th. For the I think 5th time now as I have lost count. That this would be sent to a regional manager and guess what? It is December 1 and not one person has contacted me AGAIN! I guess I need to escalate this myself! I am so tired of this company lying to me and could care less about their consumers and their safety and they're stealing money from people to make a profit for themselves! Do not ever take your car or truck to any Firestone Complete Auto Care as you will regret it!

Original Review: Regarding Firestone: My truck had wheel bearings basically go out. I saw Firestone when driving home and pulled in. Next day they quoted me close to 700 for wheel bearings and brake job. Day after that they call and say spindles we're shot on front, right and left side, price jumped to 1630 for repairs, 799 of it was labor. And that ended up being for one side. They called on Sep 21 to tell me truck would be ready in couple of hours. I at this point still had no clue they had only done one side. It was already getting to be traffic time so I told guy, I would be in in morning. Went in and truck was still on rack in air w/ passenger side wheel not even on truck.

A few hours passed and my son was with me so I asked what issue was. Manager said mechanic was have heck getting spindle off. I was under impression that truck was already fixed. They were doing everything they could to get it off, I asked him what that meant as it was to already supposed to be completed which I never got answer to, he said they were back there grinding on it and would let me know something soon. More hours pass. After some research, I now know they were probably talking about the nut that attaches spindle to a knuckle and a lot of times they just get basically melted together and it's hard to get nut to come off. So manager says, "I'm going to send my guy to a pick and pull and I will eat spindle." My son was sitting right there when manager said this! Meaning as he said he will not charge me.

So again hours are passing and they close at 7, around 6 poor guy in front I kept bugging front store attendant as I was getting very angry because I had not seen one person all day, even touch the truck, we could see it thru window. Guy finally decided to tell me the mechanic that was only one that could do the work had left for day! I was about to explode. So I told guy I was now going to have to pay for a Lyft again to go back home as me and my son were exhausted being there all day. Next morning they call and tell me that truck was done but they couldn't get a spindle but I could come get truck, they would order spindle which would take 4 days to get. I could then come back and they would put it on or I could leave truck another week till they got part. I asked if it was safe to drive, guy said, "Oh yes, only thing is it will wear out your bearings faster and we would be in same situation."

I had my phone on speaker and again my son heard every word. I like most people believe our mechanics like we do our drs. So I go and get truck pay 1630 for other work that was done. 799 in labor and saw they also charged me for two routers I did not give permission to even do. Nor know they needed to be done. They claim they told me well I paid, went home and week later no call so I called they say manager not there, left message for him, he never returned call. Two weeks later, I'm on highway taking my son to chiropractor. Fixing to exit Coit Rd. Brakes completely gave out on me with horrid squeeling sound from pads and was able to go side of highway. Called them, they said they would have it towed to them. Passenger side tire was about to break off, it was leaning! Guy called, told me it was all under warranty and it would be 4 days.

Again every conversation was heard by my son. Two days later manager calls, tells me it's going to be 7 days instead. I again asked him if under warranty, he said yes except spindle and cost would be over 700! I was livid. I said, "What about you supposedly eating spindle?" He said he never said that. I basically had to hang up because I was so mad. Found out with issue like that we could have been killed as that is usually what happens on wheel bearings failure the tires can fly off! I called corporate 3 times, have still not had call back. Today Nov 8th, called Bridgestone, filed my fourth complaint because I have not gotten one call back from corporate whatsoever regarding my complaint! ** The manager finally called back today at around 2:30 said part was a mile away and truck should this operative word should be ready tommorow!

They did not give me my old parts back either as I had requested they do. I also noticed they slipped a piece of paper into original invoice stating I refused left spindle! Complete lie! As with second invoice they slipped another piece of paper in stating I refused routers! I have been charged over 20000 dollars and not sure they even did what they stated they did as far as work done on truck. I will be talking to other mechanic to check what they claimed they did! These people at Firestone are liars and thieves! Why would I have went in and sat all day if I had refused spindle? I have proof of calls and of my Lyft drive and location as to when I was at Firestone and my son as witness as to messages statements!

Also claimed they did not charge me for 2 routers which is not true as it shows on first invoice I was charged for 2 in the amount of 359.98! Truck went in on 9/10/22 then out on 9/22/2022 first time second time went in Nov as supposed spindle just broke on its own? Spoke to manager stating I wanted some of the money back he refused. Firestone should be ashamed as to treatment of consumer as we are ones that pay their bills. I want full refund of second invoice and some off of 1st invoice for all the lies and not doing a good SAFE job which could have killed me and my son whom is handicap having only one leg due to losing his left due to cancer. And I have heart failure and this stress is not good. I am petrified to even drive it now not knowing what they have or haven't done!

I made an appt. on Firestone's website for my state's required vehicle inspection in order to renew my registration. Once there at the service center, the person assisting me at the counter provided me with a quote of $30.00. When I went to check out, it was $40.00. The difference was a $10.00 charge to inspect my windows for tint. My state's required inspection checklist ONLY requires window tint inspection if the tint was applied AFTER market. I purchased my car brand new with no window tint and I have never added or changed anything to my windows after I purchased it.

I would have expected if they were going to charge me extra on top of the quote they provided, they should have addressed it BEFORE beginning the inspection and asked me about my windows. Lastly, $30.00 is not customary for a state inspection as after my visit to Firestone, I shopped around and found other non Firestone service centers much less expensive. Won't be going back to Firestone.

Updated on 08/12/2022: Day 11 of the Firestone Fiasco at Firestone Auto Care on Swisher Rd. Corinth, TX Store #744257 with store Manager "AJ." He somehow finally decides to call me back at 6:15 pm tonight about my car after it's been sitting in the same spot since Tuesday 8/9/22 at 5pm. The conversation didn’t go well. Maybe 5 minutes. Didn’t want to hear what he was saying. When he could have call me yesterday on his day off, he waits until 45 minutes before calling. Why is that? The store opens at 7am, he waits nearly 10 hours during the day and didn’t try calling me or asking the GM to call me. He says I have to pay for it and it oil pan, as I stated, "I brought my car in and the oil was not leaking. You change a filter and never oil and I start having major leaks." I ask him for the GM number. He stated he was not giving it out. Again I ask, "Can you please have him call me? I been waiting since Wednesday for a call from him."

As I said the General Manager Steve ** still hasn’t return my call. I ask a another manager to give him my number yesterday at 1pm and never got a call and no calls this morning or this evening from him or one of his people. Again we go back to what I said in my first letter. Its starts at the top with the store owner and management who works under him. But something GOOD that did happen today is someone from Firestone Customer Service Division email me back this morning at 10am and told me they were working fixing the situation, he also email at 4pm. He says someone from the Home office will be contacting me about a resolution to getting my car fix.

I have work tomorrow. I also have kids I have to bring to first school which was today, so I rented a car from Avis for the next three days because I’m expecting that’s how long they will come to see this was not my fault, which again I am asking and expecting Firestone to pay for it since no one wants to fix the car. And everyone keeps coming with the same story. We talk and they decide it was my fault and I need to pay for the repairs of oil leak I never came in for.

What’s so sad about is that I don’t trust them or their words especially the managers. I’m very concern about when because when it is finally resolve and the car is fix and no oil leaks, that these managers and technicians are not worthy of working on anyone let alone my car. Hopefully Firestone Home office will contact me before the weekend and gave me an update on a final resolution. I would surprise if I hear from Mr. Steve **.

I don’t know after dealing with the manager and the location if I ever want to go back there again. IT LEAVE A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH AND MY MIND, because I truly take care of my car. It has 225K miles. Again never had an oil leak in 10 years. I purchase the car in 2012 from one single owner with 78K miles on it. So hopefully when Firestone Home office looks at everything I have done on both of my cars with Firestone. They will see consistent with how I take care of my cars.

Original Review: As I’m writing this complaint about what has happen to me with my 2004 PT Cruiser MAJOR OIL LEAK and THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR $600 that they screw up with Firestone Auto Care on Swisher Rd. Corinth, TX Store # 744257 from 8/1- and still dealing with this present moment on 8/10/22 at 9:52pm. I hope and pray that someone in the upper management of customer service uses this complaint on how managers and assistant managers are supposed to be doing their job, and not just say “I’M GOING TRY MAKE TO CONTACT THE MANAGER OR THE GENERAL MANAGER."

I brought in my car for a yearly Alignment check and Coolant fluid exchange/w antifreeze that’s ALL nothing else. I left it on 8/1/22 before I went on vacation and on 8/5/22 to pick it up. When I finally got to my vacation people, they decide to call and recommend to me about change wiper blade, battery corrosion package, AIR FILTER, AND BRAKE FLUID EXCHANGE (which was just done 11 months ago by the same store # 744257), and OIL change because the stick was reading off the charts.

When you’re on vacation that’s last thing you want to hear is an agent calling to recommend 5 other things to do, when I went it in for only 2 things to be done should be no more than an hour or 2 hour job. So I told them only to do the battery corrosion package for $15 dollars, I told him I was going to change the oil when I get back at the dealership where I been doing for the last 10 years. But he says,"We can do the coolant Fluid exchange without changing the oil." So I say, "Go ahead do it." So later that day they call me again saying, "We try to change the oil," but their technician couldn’t remove the oil pan. It was too tight and they could see some bad threads.

So he states, "We will just add a little oil so we can completed the Coolant fluid flush. Everything should be fine." Again he never says there is an oil leak going on with the car. So these so called professional technician decided to remove the originally factory Chrysler oil filter from the dealership and put on their own Firestone oil filter because he didn’t know how to put it back on the car. So Friday 8/5/22 I pick up the car about 4pm. They give me the originally Chrysler oil filter that was on the car from Chrysler and I’m like, "What is this?" He says, "We never change the oil. We just change the filter", I was shock. Who puts a new oil filter on a car but don’t change the oil.

So I go to work Saturday and Sunday. I live about 20 minutes from my home. So Sunday morning I notice oil leaks in front of my house two of them and on Monday morning I notice another oil leaks. So I’m concern they did something to the oil pan or either strip something. So I go to Vanguard Buick GMC of Carrollton (BEEN GOING THERE FOR 10 YEARS (2012). 4 OIL CHANGES A YEAR NEVER HAD A LEAK EVER, because I’m concern about that firestone oil filter they put on. They change the oil and don’t find any leaks. So I notice later the next day another leak, so I go by Firestone and tell them, "This is still leaking," from when I had it on Friday I pick it up. And ask them to look it at and fix the issue, I stated to the manager, "I need my car by tomorrow 8/10/2022 at the latest." He says, "We will get on it and get back to you as soon as possible."

I leave me my car yesterday at 5pm store # 744257. So you think they would have the decency to get a call earlier in the morning about it being fix, but somehow they finally decide to call me at 1:30pm today and one of the managers states he talk to AJ the head manager says I have to pay for the repairs on the oil leak and pan. It was not their fault or their technician.

And reply, "No way. I brought my car in for two things to be done and my car was not leaking oil when I brought it in on 8/1/2022." I told get AJ to call me or a General Manager of the store to call me so I can explain this situation. He then decides to say, “AJ going to tell you the same thing I’m telling you. We are not responsible for your car and its oil leaks. He tries to say Chryslers is responsible for it. I say, "I need AJ to call me even if it’s his day off or give the GM number and I will called him. He states he can’t give his number out and will try to get the message to GM. So he calls me back in 45 minutes saying the same thing about the car if they fix it I have to pay for it. I told him, "Don’t call me with the same story," he says they all talk about it and feel I’m responsible for the whole bill. I state I need someone to call by 7pm tonight to get this rectify as soon as possible because I need my car for work and family. So he finally decides to give up the General Manager name which is Steve **.

I'm incredibly disappointed with the response. As I expected very disappointed with the store and the management. I have been going there since the store open in 2008 its starts. But this starts from the top and goes to the bottom when you have management who can’t return a customer’s call. So these so call professionals label as managers, assistant managers. Really disappointing overall and now I'm left with a vehicle for 24 hours because management didn’t want to talk to me about how this all came about. Made me leave the auto shop knowing my oil was leaking and didn’t try to tell me which was unsafe to be on the road. I do have pictures of the oil leaks. Have showed the managers how bad it is.

What ‘s so baffling is on the firestone website it states, "We’ll always answer your questions and explain our work to you so you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in until you’re back on the road. We promise to provide the best customer service and offer the right solutions, so you can feel confident in knowing we’re your complete auto care solution. At Firestone Auto Care, we know your time is valuable." It seems like my time and my concerns about an oil leak on a my car isn’t as valuable as the company believes at Store #744257.

I brought my car in for an oil change at the Mill Creek location 7/14/2022, they called and said I needed to have my tires rotated and an alignment which it was probably time for. After my car was done I picked it up and left, got back to work and read the receipt. The technician noted that my right inner tie rod has excessive play and my car was UNSAFE to drive. Not one person told me that or called me to tell me that and just let me walk out the door. So I called and was told, "Oh sorry. Not sure who checked you out so not sure why you were not told this, it will cost $794.00 to fix." I called another reputable mechanic shop and was told Firestone could never properly align my car with the tie rod issue. This other mechanic also said they could repair the tie rod for $373.00!!! I will never go back here again, to not tell someone their car is unsafe to drive is irresponsible and liable.

Made an appointment on July 6th to bring in my car today at 7am for an oil change, tire rotation, alignment and to look up a code for the check engine light that came on the morning of July 6th. Went there the next day and talked to the front desk to dropped off my car and told them I will be back between 3-3:30pm to pick up my car. They told me that they will try to get the guy to look at the light but everything else will get done. Had a coworker pick me up. Haven’t received a call and usually I do between 11am-12pm to give me a status update on my car (based off prior service with them).

I called at 1pm and they told me that “the guy that check the light hasn’t done it yet but they are working on the oil change now” so I’m thinking ok great as long as they are working on it, it should be ready. Went there at 3:15pm and they told me they haven’t check it. "Can you wait 30 mins?" I’m like, "Ok…but you guys had my car for 8hrs. What work has been done to the car?" He told me nothing. I just took my car and left.

Overall, it was a waste of time for me and my coworker who took the time to take me there and back. Not only that they lied to me saying that they are working on the oil change but really they weren’t. I’m really disappointed with this company and very frustrated that they lied. If they can be dishonest with something like that then imagine what kind of work would they “say” they did when they charge you. Stay away from this location!

    Original Review: June 24, 2022

On 5/26/2022 I went to Firestone on 1666 Boston Rd. Springfield Ma around noon. First I am a good customer. No one other than Firestone service my truck or cars for the last 15 years and spent thousands of dollars at this location, and have sent other business your way, as I have told family and friends they could always expect and receive good service. Till today service has always been good and in some cases outstanding! I mentioned the above fact to Dan, sorry to say I believe he's the manager, his response was: Good for you!

His attitude at this point was disrespectful and condescending. As demonstrated by the fact I told him I could not understand everything he was saying, I am hard of hearing (I have 2 hearing aids and that helps marginally). Again his curt replay and this is a quote "Get over here." In itself the response was disrespectful, compounded by the fact I need a cane to walk with because of failing health. Maybe he needs a class in empathizing with the customer. Note he also keep working at the computer with no eye connect. There are other things he said, including lying to me twice but this should suffice to demonstrate the poor

service and attitude. This all because I mentioned being upset about the poor quality tire they sold me putting my and my families safety at risk.

I bought a Continental tire which though only now has 20000 miles on it, the sidewall is degrading with splits developing 3 separate areas. Again because of my health my truck only has 23000 miles on it, most of which was done before my health declined. Next I was told not his responsibility showing a definite disregard for my concerns or needs. If you're concerned, I don't threaten, this is merely an advance notice, if not handled in a timely manner, I will be notifying the Massachusetts Department of the Disabled. Only have not contacted them as of yet is because of the good will built by Dan's predecessors who were always concerned, professional and accommodating.

Well appointments are not for the time you take or are offered. At 7am I was told to leave car and would get me in after the call in appointments were taken care of, so why did I make a 7 am appointment?

When you make an appointment to any where your usually the first one, common sense, that why you made it at opening time. Lady in front of me same experience, I was thinking all good, I have a confirmation #, a reservation # but that means nothing. So I go to store 4 miles down the road just out of curiosity... Wrong! Long story short, service manager tells me when you make an ONLINE appointment, computer doesn't know that there are call appointments already... Makes sense, so online is useless and I'll never do again.

You have people making appointments that are not any good. if I would have known this I would have slept in on a Saturday. I am a service manager last 26 yrs for a semi trl shop, 44 bays. I know what it's like to make everyone happy but we never have appointments, never works, either they don't show or the job or took longer than expected which makes the next job later than planned and makes a domino affect on everyone behind that job... They're all going too late. I am a true Firestone customer, my daughter goes to store at A&M but was very disappointed in the way jobs are taken in. I had my car serviced that day with no issues.

maybe get rid of ONLINE appointments... Service manager second location really did explain it the way it works... good job! Honesty good policy!

This is by the worse Firestone I've been to by far. I've bought four new tires here 6 months ago and got two alignments done within the 6 months. I went to this facility 4 times because the tires were leaking air and the technician did not want to do the correct job and find the leak so they blamed it the on rim each time. Which there was nothing wrong with my rim. The fourth time I went I failed a pa inspection and my car is a 2018 Dodge Journey which is AWD. So I explained it to them and I made a appointment online. I called them afterward and they said the online appointments are only for suggestions and it's not mean you will always get a appointment that day even if it said it was available.

Because they ignored the issue for the 3 times when I finally got in they tried to charge me full price for 2 new tires even through I still had four tires under a 70,000 mile warranty. After explaining I had less then 10,000 miles on them the prorated the tires and I still had to pay for the two tires. Now I am paying 1300 on tires that's two I don't even have any more and two that the firestone in Scranton had no idea about.

The normal wait time with a appointment at this facility is a minimum of 2 hours. Which they are extremely rude here. I have personally never wrote a review like this but the truth needs to be said and heard about the facility. They will say they rotated your tires and never do it also. Personally after my warranty is officially over because I was done wrong I will never work with firestone again. Nor will I recommend them to a friend ever again.

I arrived at the appointment time of 8 am. At 10am, the car had still not been taken into the garage. I had to ask, why it was still sitting in the parking lot two hours after I arrived. They said…."let me look into it." Car was then taken in. They said the car would be ready by 11/11:30. If that’s the case…I could have arrived at 9:30 and been out the door at at the same time they had promised if I arrive at 8am. They uttered some excuse that didn’t make sense. All they had to tell me was the real reason. If they made a mistake, that’s fine. If they are unstaffed, tell me. Still waiting at 11:30.

My daughter's Corolla broke down while she was out of town, and she had it towed to the nearest open shop, Firestone of Carpentersville, IL. It needed a gearshift cable, and they also put ball joints on one axle. With a final bill of nearly $1700, I took the invoice to my mechanic and discovered this: cable costs $275 retail from Toyota, and Firestone charged $561. Book time on repair is 2 hours, and they charged $362. (When I called, they claimed their book time showed 2.5 hours at an hourly rate of $140, which is still just $350.) Ball joint was similarly overpriced. To add insult to injury, the light to the gear shift no longer worked after they finished repair. Since they were so far away, I will just get that fixed by my mechanic. When my daughter told me it was at Firestone I was concerned based on previous experiences, but I didn't imagine it would be this bad.

I definitely would of went elsewhere. They definitely will not be getting any more business from me except for the alignment since I already paid for it. I talked to someone Sunday who said they couldn't handle it Sunday and arranged for me to come Monday at 4:00 Monday. When I arrived I got to have a contentious conversation with someone who believed I was their "bud". He said there was no one available to look at the truck and I needed to drop it off the next morning till he could have someone look at it. I was unable to do so as I need my vehicle to get to work. Having received such an unapologetic attitude I left and will find someone else to work on my family's vehicles. Really disappointing overall and now I'm left with a vehicle which is unsafe to drive.

The Sales and Service Specialist ** helped us. ** found us the most discounts available and went far and above to help us with the servicing of our vehicles. For example - I paid $10 to have my vehicle tested for tires, brakes, suspension, etc. They determined that I needed new front brake pads and quoted me a discounted price. When I came back to have the work done - they had forgotten to check the thickness of the rotors. It turned out the rotors were too thin and also needed to be replaced. ** told me that it was their error and I was not charged anything for the new rotors, just the original estimated cost I had been given.

Never have I ever had an automotive repair company do this - I am 75 years old and have had many car repairs done in my time. He provided a condescending apology and marketed websites such as Yelp and Facebook and he welcomed me to leave a negative review. I have just read some reviews where Sheldon has been rude and unprofessional to other customers. The owner must maintain the same attitude to accept this behavior judging from the natural response of claiming this is not in the normal. The customer service must be a reflection of their work quality. If you are seeking to be spoken down to, disrespected and not receive timely service, then this is the place for you. Look no further. I agreed and they told AC compressor is gone and it would cost around 1000 to fix. I denied and took the vehicle and they told since I paid 170 for recharge even if you change compressor outside they will refill gas required for AC as I already paid 170. But when I called back and asked for gas recharge, they told they would do only if I change compressor in their shop. So, I paid them 290 just to understand my AC compressor is not working.

Greg is the manager here, and he and his team are outstanding. 10 years no problems. Well Greg isn't in today but you know is....George is! (I'll take this post down once it's handled). George thought he'd be cute and try to tell me I needed a whole new caliper because he couldn't find a "bolt". Grand total for oil change, bolt for my caliper, and rotate my tires....$650+. Adorable George seemed to not realize I didn't need a caliper and that rotating tires is free since, ya know, I've been buying tires from this shop for a decade. He also seemed to forget the hilarious fact that I live 1 block up the hill and decided to come by to see this special bolt so I could walk the 100 ft to the hardware store across the street and get one for $2.

Adorable George forgot a lot of things like the fact that I worked in a garage on Overhaulin for 8 years. Oh George is hilarious and I'm sure the adorable comedian George has been been playing this joke on a ton of people who can't afford to get his very expensive sense of humor. After calling him on the whole "Bolt gate" scandal new total was $500. Evidently George had another joke on standby that rotating tires cost $400 extra. That one went over great. Anyways, new total is now $100. I'll go ahead and give him the punchline he won't forget for his next comedy special. Ready for it. Let's see if George still has a job by the time he reads this and I ask firestone to go through every client he's helped to see if he's stolen from them as well. I'm sure he'll think this is a bundle of giggles.

Jokes aside....I hate dishonestly, especially when it has to do with cars. All of us need our car to provide for our families or just to get to work, and this loser has been trying to scam people. The guy is so dumb he didn't realize I was baiting him. He was asking really odd questions and I couldn't believe he was digging, trying to see if I knew anything about cars.... Sure George, I don't even know what kind of F150 I have or the year....even though you can see I've owned 3 over the last decade! Yeah the 240lb pick up truck driver won't know what a bolt costs or where to get it.

Well he was hoping I was an idiot so I let him think I was... Who is the idiot now George? :) Still think this is funny? Again, GREG is not there right now and the other Mechanic Whitney which is also awesome did not know he was doing this at least to my knowledge. I'm going to take this down as soon as I speak with Greg or at least edit it. This mechanic is not a reflection of the team there or the last 10 years I've been going.

This is for my mom, who is 74 and brought in her 2007 dodge nitro to this place. She told them she wanted to get rid of the numerous warning lights, replace one cracked wheel (she brought a new one), fix one window (the mechanism broke), repair one door (can't open from inside), fix a rear signal which is shorting out and worked intermittently, and get a tune-up because the truck was stuttering between 1000 and 1600 rpm. She had a well-written list to hand them. And she did, speaking to the man in charge, Josh.

One week later they charged her $657.52:
    $130 "courtesy check"
    $102 to "inspect" the doors
$68 to fix the brake lights
    $26 to replace the wheel

And more for tuneup & battery.

As you see, for $232 they just looked at it. And did nothing. Because... When she came to my place I found all the emergency lights are still on. They didn't fix the door or window. The signal still didn't work. They put the WRONG wheel on. And the truck STILL stuttered at low rpm. It gets better. When they put the WRONG wheel on, they STRIPPED THREE OF THE BOLTS! The "technician" probably started with the impact wrench instead of by hand, like one is supposed to. You know, he had to hurry up to ** somebody else over with gross incompetence.

This was discovered when I took her truck to have a complete set of new wheels installed at a local brake & tire shop a day later. As I stood there shooting the breeze with the mechanic, three bolts would not come off the wheel firestone installed (remember, the wrong wheel. They left the cracked wheel on). They just turned and turned and wouldn't come off. Bad news. So I went and ordered five new nuts and bolts from Advance Auto up the road, which arrived the next day. $50 to fix their ineptitude.

To recap so far: They let a kind old lady who lives 45 miles away through winding -- sometimes switchback -- roads drive off with a cracked wheel and another with two working nuts & bolts barely holding it on with inoperable signals and a stuttering truck motor after pocketing over 600 bucks. But wait, there's more! I called the corporate number and asked to speak to the district manager about all this. The man on the phone sounded concerned and promised this manager man, named Michael, would call within 48 hours. Five days later, I called again and was told the "regional" manager, based in Nashville, would call soon. That was Monday. Today is Saturday. 8PM. If you take your car to this place, or any firestone, and you have read this review, you are a fool. Don't be a dumb**. Go somewhere, anywhere else. You'll be glad you did.

I called my dad a little upset because I needed to get my tire fixed on a Sunday and couldn't be late for work. I went back in after 10min to see no one even picked up the envelope to get my car keys. I asked for my keys and was able to find Amandos open and they took care of me right away. Only offered to do another diagnostic test for free when we already had one done. Will never go there again. Overpriced and rude. Zero stars but that wasn’t an option.

STAY AWAY!!!! This establishment is NOT trustworthy. I took my car in for a standard oil change and state inspection. During the inspection they up-sold me and asked if I wanted to replace the battery (my mistake for agreeing). I check out, and the manager says they failed my inspection because they replaced the battery... Um, what? They should have done the inspection and then replaced the battery, but okay… This is mildly annoying. I leave to get in my car and notice the computer screen isn't turning on... I take the car back and they admit to doing it... (Great right? They did the damage, take responsibility and agree to fix it.. THINK AGAIN...).

So they take the car to the back and spend a long time trying to figure out what happened.. They couldn’t, so they said to take it to the Lexus dealership and get a quote for the repair and if it's inexpensive enough they'll pay for it themselves, but if it's something expensive it’ll have to be paid through insurance. They assure me that Firestone will reimburse me for the diagnostic when I take it to Lexus… Lexus determines the radio head is fried... Lexus informed me this happens when wires are crossed during a battery install… Makes sense. So we go back to Firestone with this information. They send out an inspector who provides a report saying there was “no correlation between the services they provided and the current problem”.

The store manager, Ryan, has now back-tracked and is refusing to compensate for the damages. Keep in mind, they admitted to doing the damage at the time and even described in detail what happened. The car went in fine and came out damaged. I know it, the mechanics know it, and the manager knows it (they deny it now)… This establishment does NOT have the ethics, integrity or accountability to stand behind their work.

(UPDATE 01/16/2021) 100 hours after contact with corporate no call from regional or district managers or store manager. No idea what's going on. Called corporate. Was told to give them until next Saturday (01/23/2021). On 05/06/2020 I sent my car in to have the engine replaced in it. I paid $2,496.70 for everything. On 05/14/2020 I got it back. On 06/17/2020 (day before my birthday hard to forget) I called in complaining about the rod knock. They said "come on in and we will replace the engine but you will need to pay for the engine and labor and that they may not have a motor for me in general." On 07/01/2020 my oil pan needed to be replaced but at the same time my newly installed engine had a Rod knock already (oil changes and maintained was kept receipts kept as well). So I told them about it and paid $1,115.99 for the oil pan and a full diagnostics of the car and for them to check out the rod knock.

On 07/02/2020 I got my car and diagnostics back. I was told they heard no rod knock even though it was clear as day easy to be heard. But they would replace it but all costs were on me. On Tuesday Jan 12th 2021 my motor completely seized up and I had it towed in. I called Bay Road Firestone in Saginaw, Michigan in regards to this matter. They checked my file and stated they had no idea where this engine came from and what warranty it had if any (I have all phone calls recorded with them).

Let's go back 1 day Monday Jan 11th 2021. I called bay road location to inquire about my car's rod knock. Got worse. They were closed for covid issues so state street location answered and said I had a 6 month warranty and that it's a Jasper engine. Let's fast forward back to Jan 12th 2021. 4 hours after the car was dropped off Bay Road Firestone called me and said that the car definitely had a rod knock and that they don't have a engine for me and all of a sudden the engine now has a 45 day warranty from date of purchase. But as far as I'm concerned the 12mo 12k mile nationwide warranty provided by corporate Firestone should be sufficient enough right?

Well I called corporate Tuesday Jan 12th 2021. I was told to expect a call from a local upper management person named Jason. Well it's been over 48 hours well over so I called corporate back and questioned it. Now I am waiting 48 more hours to hear from another manager.... I feel like I'm being screwed right now. Firestone is holding my car and stalling until their Nationwide warranty expires. I am at 8 mo out of 12 from the warranty and 5,600 miles out of 12,000 miles for the warranty qualifications.

I've worked for shops. I know the runaround scheme and Firestone is playing that game. Firestone could not care less about the fact that my currently only vehicle to drive around with and go to work with is now totally dead at the fault of Firestone not mine! I have every call, every email and every receipt all saved and loaded on a flash drive with hundreds of copies. I want my car fixed! I want it back or my money back!!! Everything was paid in cash!!

I have been a loyal Firestone customer for over 7 years. The particular Firestone location near me has been the worst one I have been in and dealt with by far. I took my car in to have the tires checked, oil changed, brakes checked, and fluids topped off. What ended up happening is they broke a bolt while doing a tire alignment that was on my car. One that was important to my steering and suspension. The parts they needed to fix because of this mistake weren't going to come in until the next morning. That is our only vehicle and my husband has to get to and from work in the military. That's not a job you can call off from because you don't have a car! I had to make other arrangements to get my husband and son home which cost extra money on top of the fixes!

They then told me they would get me a rental so I was relieved and asked Rachel (the lady behind the counter) if they would stick a hold on my card in order to take the rental. I informed her I did not have enough money to pay for a hold. She informed me they would not. However I got to the rental company and they had to stick a 50 dollar hold on my card that I didn't have! I was denied the rental and after they called and talked to Rachel she lied and said she told me there would be a hold and I was out of luck.

I had sat in Firestone for 9 hours through all of this and then I was stuck at the car rental place with no mode of transportation for me or my husband. Thankfully the car rental company took me home. I then had to find a ride back today to get my car and found out that they are making me pay for the parts they broke! I am furious and speaking to the manager just made me even angry. Due to them screwing me I will never be back to that location again. They are just awful.

On October 16, 2020, I took my 2017 BMW X5 in for an oil change at Firestone Auto on W. WT Harris Blvd. in Charlotte, NC. I had typically only gotten service at the BMW dealership but decided to try here after a friend had his BMW serviced at a Firestone. While in the shop, a tune up was mentioned and I decided to allow them to do the tune up as I had recently hit 85K and figured it would be good for scheduled maintenance. After hours of waiting for the oil change and tune up, the technician gave me my keys, cashed me out ($700) and I pulled my car out of the parking lot, only for my engine to be misfiring and unable to accelerate.

I returned to the shop within a minute's time as I pulled out and turned right back around. The manager told me they used aftermarket spark plugs and figured that could be the reason why (which later came out that they were too long, hence the cylinder head impact damage). They then called the BMW dealership to order spark plugs and they replaced the aftermarket plugs with the ones from the dealership. The engine then got worse. I ended up having to leave my car there overnight. I came in the next morning, already upset about the situation, and the technician told me they put my original spark plugs back In to see if that would correct the situation and it continued to not run properly.

My car was taken to them in superior condition as noted on the previous inspection notes and video from the last visit to the dealer. Firestone then let me know that they had already scheduled me a rental car and towed my vehicle to the dealership. They put me in a BMW X3, only to call me two hours later and say that I had to return it because they would not cover that amount and tried to place me in a Hyundai Elantra. After expressing how upset I was, they agreed to cover an SUV. Over the course of the past SIX WEEKS, they have been covering a rental vehicle for me.

Fast forward a couple weeks, after multiple inspections from firestone's independent inspectors as well as BMW, and a partial tear down of the engine, BMW determined that the engine needed to be replaced ($26.2K) and their inspector concurred. There were metal shavings throughout the entire engine, as well as the oil filter (mind you, Firestone also did an oil change). The dealership also noted that THE OIL WAS LOW. The oil drained from the car was completely filled with metal shavings and gave a sparkly look when a light was shined on it. Despite the dealer and inspector's findings, Firestone has continued to request a full tear down of the engine or they would not pay for the repair.

Monday, November 16, 2020, BMW notified me that they would not be completing a complete tear down because there was enough conclusive evidence to show that the engine needed replacement and they would be closing the ticket. Due to the build of the engine, the intense amount of labor, and the findings that had already been noted, they did not feel it was necessary. Moving forward to November 18, I received a call from the claims rep stating that because BMW would not do the tear down, I had two options. They could offer 10K to HELP with the repair or have it towed to another BMW dealer that would complete the tear down. No dealership or shop has agreed to do the tear down due to the SAME reasons already reported by THE DEALERSHIP.

This is absolutely ridiculous! How can the claim rep agree with the fact that this is their fault and there is enough evidence and proceed to say, “well management says we still must have the tear down!” For the second time, now that we are in another month, I am making payments on a vehicle that FIRESTONE DESTROYED and I am unable to enjoy due to their negligence. The claims rep told me that he would call me by the end of the day on 11/18 and I NEVER (and still haven’t) heard from him!

Firestone’s website touts that their techs are certified to work on BMW’s and this proves WHY FIRESTONE IS A TERRIBLE AUTO SHOP! If they did not know what they were doing, they should not have agreed to the work! Other than a rental car and the run around, I have not received consistent communication, a repaired vehicle, NOR A REFUND FOR THE POOR $700 SERVICE JOB THEY WERE ORIGINALLY PAID TO DO! The last conversation with the claims rep said “I know it’s unfair, but management....” I have called 5 or more times each day, and left messages since 11/18 AND NOT ONE PHONE CALL RETURNED!

I feel as though I have been very patient and civil in giving them a chance to correct this issue! As a public school teacher, I work very hard for EVERY dollar that I earn and I will not be jaded by the big company crap! I do applaud the Store Manager, Rebecca for her efforts. She was very nice and professional throughout this terrible experience.

I am extremely disappointed and upset with the experience I recently had at Firestone, located at 1689A Post Rd, Warwick, RI. On November 2, 2020 I had my 2005 Toyota Sienna towed in for service, as we needed our water pump replaced. I called ahead and spoke with ** and explained what was going on. He said that he would be able to take a look at it in the morning and confirm if it was the water pump. Tuesday 11/3 towards the end of the day, I had to reach out to ** as I had heard nothing about the vehicle. He informed me at that time, they had to do another test in the morning to confirm that it was the water pump, and he would be in touch.

On Wednesday 11/4 around 830am, ** calls to tell me that my water pump does need to be replaced and explains that it is a 5-hour job and gives me a quote. I give approval to go ahead and replace the water pump by 930am that morning. I hear nothing all day. Now they are open until 7 pm at night. I was under the impression that the job would be done, or I would have heard back from **, as communication is a big part of customer service. I call Thursday morning asking a timeline on when my vehicle will be ready, I get attitude and push back and am told it should be done by 12pm no sooner. I get a call that the car is ready. I now Uber down to pick up my vehicle. I go in to pay and get my keys. I go and start my Van. It turns over and starts to chug, not feeling or sounding right, so I press on the gas.

Now I am still in park, I have not even put my can into reverse to pull away. Suddenly the check engine light comes on along with every other light on the dash. After 2 and half days for a 5-hour job on a car, this is not how I want to receive my car back. I shut it off and return inside. I explain what just happened and how upset I am. They use the computer to check what the error codes read. Come to find out they must keep the vehicle to redo the whole job because the timing was off. At this point ** comes to speak to me and says that Toyotas have issues when the batteries are taken out. Which made no sense. I asked the other service tech if this was going to be another 5 hours? He says it will be another two days, but don’t worry it's all covered. Except I have no car, and now I am without a vehicle for another 2 days for a 5-hour job?

Not only that but I run a small local business and need a vehicle to take care of our customers. I was offered a ride home and that was it. It wasn’t until I got home did I realize that without my authorization, Firestone took it upon themselves to change my timing belt which still had close to 20,000 mile left on it before needing to be changed. Since doing an unauthorized service on our vehicle, we went 10 days with no car for a 5-hour job. After leaving my car at Firestone in Warwick on Thursday 11/5 since it was not properly fixed and they replaced a timing belt that was not authorized, instead of getting my car back that day or Friday, I did not get it back until the following Thursday. I called Sunday to find out what was going on, only to find out the store had been shut down due to lift issues on Saturday.

Not one person called to explain what was going on. I got directed to speak to another Firestone location. I spoke with a manager named ** who was able to at least help my family and myself get a rental and reimbursed some for the rental I had since the 11/5 when they originally had not fixed the vehicle properly. Never did I hear from the manager ** to explain anything. Even the rental company was confused as how long I was to have the rental. This whole situation took place because they did unauthorized work on our vehicle. Our vehicle was taken to another Firestone to be fixed on Tuesday 11/10. It should have been fixed on 11/5 or 11/6 the latest.

When I tried to confront ** about the unauthorized work done that resulted in being without a vehicle for 10 days, he told me basically, that anyone would be stupid not to replace the timing belt when replacing the water pump. As stated, I had another 20,000 miles until that needed to be changed, that is 2 years for most folks. And last I checked it was our vehicle and we should have a say as to what is done. I explained how the lack of communication was unbelievably bad customer service and that no one called to explain anything. He came at me saying his Service tech told him he called me. Which never happened. He was demeaning and intimidating and didn’t want to hear anything I had to say.

I called customer service for Firestone that night 11/12 to put a complaint in as no one should be allowed to do work that was unauthorized, which resulted in 10 day without a car and no communication on what was happening. The customer service stated that the local Area Manager ** would be reaching out. I received and email asking, “When was a good time to speak?” I responded with a time. Instead of getting the phone call, so I could have this concern and issue addressed, she responded with a one sentence email stating “that she was informed that a refund was processed at that the store last night so you should be all set, Thanks.” I responded with the explanation that clearly she did not get, that it was not a refund, that I was receiving a partial payment to cover the cost of the rental I had from Thursday until Monday when Firestone finally got a rental to us.

And that there was a much larger issues and I would prefer a phone call to speak on the matter. As of today, which is 11/23/20 I have never heard from her or from her boss **. I have called customer care multiple times to try and have this issue resolved and yet no one calls. It seems to be that Firestone has horrible customer service and will do work that is unauthorized and make you the consumer pay for the that work. This is very unprofessional and illegal to do. It also shows their lack of professionalism and how little they care about their customers. I would stay clear of any Firestone’s. Do not go to the one on 1689A Post Rd Warwick RI. I am still waiting for a resolution to this matter. I am extremely disappointed and feel as though myself and my family were taken advantage of.

    Sincerely,

    Rachel

I called and asked for District manager for callback, not once but 3 times! Still no reply. Here is what sign says in lobby: Does Firestone guarantee their work?

We promise that the services we perform will be fixed right the first time. If the automotive repair or service was performed improperly, then we will re-perform the service at no additional charge to you, during the established warranty period. I paid amount before I could have vehicle released and with the charges from them, taxi fares and rental truck, I'm looking at $800 out of pocket. I feel since I told them my Starter needed to be replaced to begin with, all these added charges are unacceptable. None of the free service checks offered were done in addition to repair, and their delay in communication could have cost someone their life. After reading these reviews of terrible customer service, it's easier for me to dispute charges through my bank than wait for them to address my complaint. This happens, I've broken them myself dismounting tires, the problem is they said it broke when tire went flat. I disagree, I didn't drive on a flat tire. The tire started to go flat sitting in a parking lot and never moved until the spare was put on. Best guess the TPMS Sensor will cost anywhere from $50 to $100.

So far I have been here 2 hrs, it is now 5:30 pm and my vehicle is still on a lift without tires. I am suppose to be having the oil changed, tires replaced and aligned. 6:30 pm, it now been 3 hrs, tires are on and oil has been changed. Alignment in process. 6:45pm all is done, was charged $79.95 for TPMS Sensor, but was given a $20 discount on alignment. Overall experience wasn't that great, and I still don't like spending the extra $60 for something they broke. Update: as of now, none of my TPMS SENSORS are working. My time is worth as much if not more than theirs, will call them in the morning. Take away another star.

10/29/2020. I show up at the store by 7 am and tell them my sensors are not working. They scan them and tell me they need to replace 2 more sensor. But will have to come back later to change them out. I show up later and after awhile the manager tells me to go to a toyota dealership and have them reset the entire system and he will reimburse the cost, plus the $60 I had complained about. I make an appointment at Toyota for the next day.

10/30/2020. I show up at toyota service department and am informed that the sensors that had been replaced are not compatible with my vehicle and they will have to be replaced. $500. I call the manager at Firestone and he says he's not willing to pay that amount. After a short phone argument he says get it fixed. A little while later the service manager at toyota informs me that the whole system has been corrupted or overwritten by the tool used at Firestone, and now the cost to replace all sensors and reprogram the TPMS-ECU will be $900. When does this end. My vehicle now sits at the Toyota dealership and I am out multiple hours of work all from a simple tire change.

11/05/2020. Final Bill at toyota was $767. I returned to firestone to get reimbursed. Manager paid the $60 for the original broken sensor but declined paying the toyota bill of $767 and said he would file a claim with firestone and I was to be paid by them. It's been 5 days now and I have heard nothing back from Firestone Customer Service other than an email saying I will be contacted within 48 hrs. Not Happy at all. Take away the final Star!

They took my new battery without my permission and changed it out for one of theirs. They charged me for ac repair and check and even said my AC worked great but lied. It did not. I complained to the BAR and Bridgestone offered me 498 dollars refund for the battery and AC charges. After I brought my vehicle home it almost ran out of brake fluid. The color was pea green. They must have never checked or changed it at all. Beware..

I was referred to the Firestone on 4712 Blanding Blvd in Jacksonville FL 32210 on 10/08/20 for an alignment. When I got there I asked for an oil change as well; I got there at 4:56pm. ** who works the front counter advised me the technician wasn’t able to do the alignment; he said he tried but couldn’t get it done. ** said I could come back Tuesday when ** gets back; he said the technician finishing up with the oil change. I left there at 6:07pm they was closing the shop. I’m driving I get to a red light I see smoke coming from under my hood; at first I thought it was the car behind me. I continue and the smoke coming from my hood is really bad; and my car smelled like something burning. I couldn’t take my car back to them because Firestone was closed. I thought the technician spilled some oil and it will burn off; the next morning I notice something coming from under my car.

I called Firestone spoke with **; he provided me with his cellphone to send pictures of what was going from under my car. He said a tow truck was on the way to my house to pick my car up... I let the tow truck driver see the fluid leaking from under my car. Marcus called and said they cleaned the mess up they made and he see the problem; he said the leak was because of my rack and pinion. His next statement I can give you a quote for us to fix it. I told Marcus when I bought my car there I did not have a leak. I checked my power staring fluid and it’s nothing in there that was the fluid leaking from my car. When the technician tried to do the alignment he did something incorrectly which caused the power steering fluid to leak out.

I called corporate. So did my brother. Firestone finally sent an independent investigator out on the 26th to inspect my car. The investigator clearly said to me without being there I can’t say exactly what they did but it had to do with the alignment. I called Jim in the insurance claim department; he said, "Firestone will not be paying to fix your car because the investigator said it didn’t happen with the alignment." A rack and pinion for my car 2009 E350 Mercedes Benz cost about $300 to repair... It’s been three weeks still without my car.

When technicians gets into customer’s vehicle they are not serious about cleanliness of the customer car, the technicians need to put in paper mats to keep from putting oil and grease stains on the floorboards and they also need to wash their hands before entering customer’s vehicle to keep oil and grease stains off of the interior and steering wheel also. They also have told me that they fixed a issue with my vehicle and they actually did not fix the problem. I’ve had numerous experiences with this in my vehicle and it needs to be addressed to all technicians at Firestone.

    Original Review: Oct. 24, 2020

When I first decided to make them my permanent mechanics they went over entire car with a magnifying glass and they found over 2500$ worth of stuff wrong... I have since got half of the things supposedly fixed. Now...6 months later I am still having problems. I was told to replace the tires. I did. (700$ including labor.) I get regular oil changes yet nobody noticed I had an oil leak until today. I had the aircon serviced... Now 4 months later they said I need a compressor.. (Why was this not noticed before?) Plus now they say I need an oil cover replacement at over 400$.. Again why was this not noticed before? They had my car last weekend. The entire weekend and then told me they couldnt find a thing wrong.,, Now all of a sudden the mgr has found all of these.

I realize they have to make money but this is happening much too often. I'm in Durham, NC store on University Drive and they are killing me with everything they keep finding wrong on my 2009 Subaru Forrester. Something is not right here. I smell foul play. If I wasnt under credit card account I would never return. I am a fair person but Firestone employees treated me like my time didnt matter and I was nothing to them. I advise anybody reading this review to take your vehicle elsewhere if you dont want to get robbed.

Hey, I am not the type to even write reviews but this warranted one. Almost 6 months ago, I took my wife's BMW X1 to Firestone, located in Richmond, Virginia (4910 W Broad St.) because it started smoking. I ran a diagnostics test on it and it stated that it had one oil leak. I got it towed to BMW in Richmond and they ran a diagnostic and they provided good detail and came to find out that it had multiple oil leaks and other issues. Long story short, the bill is close to 6,000. I decided to do a claim because the persons at Firestone couldn't even return my washer fluid cap back on (which I still don't have). So it made me think, if they can't even do that correct, then what are they doing underneath the hood. Come to find out, when I was submitting the claim for the BMW, they were not doing the oil change correctly; which made me to believe that it started causing other issues.

Fast forward to now, they denied my claim and reported that they would not be paying for anything despite knowing that they did not do the oil changes correctly for two years straight and despite knowing that the diagnostics that they ran at Firestone wasn't even remotely comparable to the diagnostics at BMW. I receive a phone call from "Sr. Claims Specialist" **, located in 200 4th Ave South, Nashville for her just to try to spit all of these words at me like I don't know anything just to say they were not going to pay for anything. Then she proceeds to tell me that, "We never did a diagnostics at Firestone," not knowing that I have all of the paperwork and a very vivid memory. When I tell her we did two diagnostics in two years, she was like "Oh, yea. I see you did one in August and we have down a oil leak" (mind you the belt is bad, pump is bad and there's like 5 oil leaks). She said she would refund for the diagnostics.

I told her I don't need a refund and she had nothing else to say. Oh, last thing. I was told from her that they would have an inspector out to inspect the BMW within 3-5 business days. It had been two months of me emailing, calling, texting with the inspector, calling **'s boss and leaving a voicemail and she expects me to believe that this entire process was done correctly. Once the inspection was done, it took them less than 72 hours to call me to let me know that they will not pay for any damages. Insane.

Updated on 10/26/2020: I made an initial inquiry to this company over a month ago. I started at the original store with no results and worked my way up through the system, eventually getting to the corporate offices. I received a reply that stated that they would get back to me by 3 working days. I even left a voice message with the President of the company.

My initial complaint on ConsumerAffairs did get a response of "we will get back with you," but the time has passed and I have waited long enough. I will now share my issue across the social media world and expose either a totally incompetent group of customer service staff or an arrogant executive staff who feel that their customers are not worth the time and money needed to solve a simple issue. Any way you look at this it is unacceptable and reveals major performance issues with this company. They seem like bumbling fools at this point. Try to avoid doing business with Firestone if possible, there are plenty of other options from good local service to purchasing tires online!

Original Review: I had a minor complaint that I shared through 4 levels of management over 3 weeks. Not one response! I even left a voice mail with the company's president! Bad system or they simply don't care. My initial issue was a simple one, my wife went by a store to get some air in her Firestone bought tires. They refused stating that they had to do it in their bay. This is not consistent with years of doing business with them. They complained that customers ruined their equipment when I have never touched their equipment and as far as I know they have always simply pulled the hose out and filled my tires.

When I called the store the manager repeated what he had told my wife. I contacted the Customer care line and shared the story hoping that the Area Manager would contact me to either confirm this or not. Nothing in over a week so I called again and they assured me that they would share my concern with the Regional Manager, Again no response in over two weeks. I contacted the Customer Care line again and this time I was transferred to the President's voice mail, once again no response. I can affirm that there is a lack of Customer Care/Service at Firestone from the local store up through management and ending at the Executive level. This is unacceptable and I will now take my auto care needs somewhere else and share this story with as many others who want to listen.

I will never go to Firestone ever again, and I recommend that you dont either. I took my car to this location, and shortly after I left my car starting making this slight grinding sound. I couldnt figure out what it was, and a few days later it ended up breaking multiple components of my car. I submitted a claim, and immediately started being bullied by the person handling the claim. It was obvious he was trying to push me into admitting fault, accusing me the entire time of breaking it myself and trying to get money from them. He said they would have an inspector to come look at the damages, and that he would be in contact with me. It took weeks for the inspector to reach out to me and set up an appointment, this whole time Im without a car.

When the inspector finally comes and looks at my car, he spends about 40 minutes inspecting and talking to me about how he feels it was firestone's fault, he also pointed out multiple flaws that contradict what firestone claims. He leaves, and I dont hear anything for weeks again, still I am without a car. Eventually I get an email saying my claim was denied without any actual reason why. I text the inspector asking if I could call him when he has a chance, he asks who is texting, and after I tell him who I am he never responds again.

Ive since tried calling him multiple times, and it goes straight to voicemail, but not on any other phones. Im suspecting he got some kind of pay out to lie about the inspection, and then blocked my phone number. Firestone, and the inspector, are very shady and untrustworthy. The claims department has the worst service I've ever experienced before. My case has still not been resolved and Im still having to pay for the damages out of my pocket. I will be posting this review to more websites, avoid Firestone at all costs.

After they changed it out, Rick said it was not the alternator and claimed it had to do with the wiring having a short or something. HE RECOMMENDED I GO TO Nasa Automotive Electronics to get a diagnostic test done. $68.00. Now note, since I left firestone, the battery light is now always on.

Nasa Automotive electronics said, AFTER HAVING THE CAR FOR 7 HOURS, it is the alternator. THE CAR NEEDS A OEM ALTERNATOR or the regulator was bad, and sent me back to Firestone. Rick at Firestone said we put in the same alternator that was in the car, and that it was not the alternator. Then he made a call to somebody, don't know who, but all of a sudden he said the car needs a oem alternator and that it would cost me an additional $300.00 to install it if I supplied them with a oem original alternator!

    1. Why would you not ask me ahead of time if I wanted a oem part put in the car?

    2. Why would you not run a diagnostic before replacing the alternator?

I would like to say that the desk individual was extremely nice. Now I will explain how this company is overcharging their customers. I brought my truck into a Firestone company off of Stetson Hills in Colorado Springs, CO. I kept reviewing a ABS and Stabilitrak error that would cause issues while I was driving. I looked up multiple auto shops and called around and every single one was closed on weekends due to COVID. I’m active Duty Air Force, which makes it difficult to not have a vehicle during the week. Firestone happened to be open over the weekend, which was so helpful. They took my truck in on Friday, and stated they would run a diagnostic on my truck Saturday morning. They called me at 9:13 AM on Saturday and stated I needed to replace my driver side bearing and that I needed to replace both front axle shafts, which caused the bearing issue to begin with. They said it would cost $1700.

I don’t know much about these parts and decided if they said I have to replace it to be safe, then I would. I then received a call at 11:35 AM that my truck was good to go. When I got there, I saw that they had charged me $900 for labor costs. I asked the front desk technician how 2 hours of work equaled $900 in labor costs which was more expensive than the parts themselves. He told me that when they enter a job in their system that it automatically puts in the hours expected to change the part. For each axle shaft they replaced, it charged me 2.5 hours worth of labor. He didn’t tell me the labor charge for the bearing.

Let’s focus on the shaft labor charges, they replaced both Front axle shafts and the bearing in 2 hours, yet they charged me 5 plus hours in labor costs. How is that honest and fair to their customers? Why wouldn’t they adjust the labor costs to what was actually done to the vehicle? It truly makes no sense to me. I submitted a review when they sent me an email to rate my service, I explained all of this and at the end of the requested review, it asked if I wanted someone to call me. I have not hear from them since I paid and picked up my truck. Please research auto shops because I can promise you that there are shops that will you charge you for the actual labor that is put into your vehicle.

It took me a week to locate James **, the claims adjuster but before I contacted him, Brandon at the Bossier location called to deny my claim and inform me that Bridgestone America would not rent a vehicle for me. So I rented a vehicle for a week.

Finally, on August 3, 2020, my car was towed to Moffitt Volkswagen, but not before Mr. ** left a voicemail on my phone stating that a RANDOM TOW TRUCK DRIVER WHO DOES NOT WORK AT MOFFIT, stated it would be three weeks before they could look at my vehicle and that "we" should look for another service provider to look at my car. Isn’t it against the law to lie about a claim? That’s called FRAUD! Now keep in mind, that I was without transportation for days. So I contacted service at Moffitt and they said they could take my car in immediately and they did. Once the oil change was completed, the dealership reported that my filter was out-of-place and the oil plug was not hand tighten with the remaining oil on the bottom of my engine. The remaining oil still sits on my garage floor, which is environmental damage.

The invoice also stated there was no guarantee of internal damage. Then Mr. ** sent me an email stated that I had an oil leak but no secondary damage. Of course he sent out an inspector without my knowledge. He was not only unavailable to me but he would not return calls to Moffitt Volkswagen. So, I then contacted John ** who also did not return my calls. I have been a customer of Firestone for over 20 years and this is how the company repays me. I keep records of all my oil changes and I only use Firestone. My 2016 Jetta was in great running condition, but now it delays during acceleration and is in poor running condition. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. It's like NO ONE CARES! Plus I have acquired additional fiduciary cost related to sub standard service performed at FIRESTONE! FIRESTONE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR HARD WORKING CUSTOMERS!

And to add insult to injury, Flint sent me an email requesting that I turn in the rental car($486.86) for a 15 day rental, but failed to pay the dealership for my oil change, while still charging me $30.50 for the botched oil change. So guess what. irestone towed it there and left me stuck with the bill. So I guess the insurance laws support Firestone paying for partial liability only and leaving me stuck with unexpected cost, due to faulty service. This is not my opinion. These are facts backed up with receipts and documentation. And by the way, I have video footage of my car breaking down with a dipstick oil check that was dry and witnesses. Turns out my co-workers we're in my vehicle when the incident occurred! WAY-TO-GO FIRESTONE. YOU SET THE STANDARD FOR GREAT SERVICE! TALK ABOUT THE PRIVILEGED????

Then, they lied about it. Interesting coincidence that we take our car in for an oil change and a brake inspection, and it ends up with a dead battery while sitting in the parking lot of Firestone for 1 hour.
