5 or 6 months ago I had my truck in for an oil change. I left the vehicle there to pick up later in the day. I received a phone call saying that they checked the air filter and said that it was dirty and asked if they should replace it. I told them that it was a K&N filter and that I would clean it it myself. I brought the truck home and the clamps to the plenum where so loose that the plenum detached from the throttle body and air filter housing on the drive home. What if I didn't get to it right away? How much crap would have been sucked into the engine before I found this? "Well sir we told you it needed to be replaced but you said you would do it so we just left the parts dangling there." REALLY? Never ever will I take my vehicle to Firestone again.

I took my truck to Firestone. They wanted to know if I wanted an account and I said no. They offered $10 off bill so I said sure. My truck has been squeaking and I wanted it checked. They gave me a 1600.00 credit. I said, "Thanks but I'm paying cash." About 45 minutes later they pulled it in to check it.. They said I had a lot of stuff wrong, tie rod end, bearing etc.. Guess what this is going to cost? You got it... 1600.00. Now how odd is that. Getting my truck back tomorrow and praying they do a really good job.. Strange that the credit limit is also the cost I'm fixing to pay.. I'll let ya know... what are the chances.

Two years ago I’ll let Firestone replace my belt on my 2011 Ford Fiesta. They assured me they could do the job so I let them do it the car fix my car because I’ve been a customer with them for over 15 years and I really did trust them. Well it’s two years later I had to put over $8000 on a new motor to fix my car because their belt blew it up. I will never do business with anyone associate you with this company and because they say they can’t pay anything on my car because their warranty with only for one year but the belt should’ve lasted more than two years. The original belt lasted for a lot longer than that.

I am a Firestone card holder. May 10th I brought my driveable fully functioning car to Firestone for an oil light flashing. They never called me back. On May 17th I called them to see what was going on. They told me the car had “a timing issue and probably needs a new engine.” That same day I called customer service and they told me I would hear from a claims advisor In 48 hours. I called customer service again on 5/21 and they said he would call me in another 48 hours. On 5/23 he finally called me, telling me the timing belt jumped a few teeth and gave me a quote to repair the timing belt and water pump and would do the coolant flush free of charge for my inconvenience. I decided to get a second opinion, he towed it to Tires Plus (same parent company Bridgestone). They removed some parts to look at the timing belt and told me a tension pulley was broken. I asked for a written description, they could not provide one.

I talked to the claims advisor again on May 30th and wanted a 3rd party inspection. On June 14th I contacted customer service wondering why I wasn’t called back, they told me to contact the claims specialist. I emailed him that day, he never replied. On June 19th he sent me an email denying my claim without ever speaking with me or getting any information from me. I emailed him back with evidence my car was running at Firestone when I brought it to them on May 10th. Still never heard back from him. I called customer service again on June 23rd. They told me to contact the claims supervisor. I left him a message that day. I am now still waiting on him to call me, on June 26th. My car was towed back to me and left on my street with a dead battery. Very disrespectful to their loyal customers.

Firestone in Springfield, Ohio (Upper Valley Mall) - by far provides the WORST customer service that I have ever encountered. I have been there twice now and both times I have been treated as an major inconvenience from the moment I walked in to the store. The first time the member was very aggravated because he had to input my information because it was not in the system. Today, I had an appointment for a simple oil change at 11:00 (my lunch hour). There was no one in the lobby and when the employee saw me, I was not greeted and again, I seemed to be an inconvenience. I gave him my key and went for a walk because it was a nice day. I returned 45 minutes later and my car was still in the parking lot. When I asked for my keys, I was offered no explanation or further customer care, he just said "here you go" and I left. Wow - are you kidding me? How does this place stay in business? I would say 0 stars but that was not an option.

They installed passenger tires on my 2011 Ford transit connect and all 4 are defective. When I went in to see what they could do, they did nothing because "they" put passenger tires on, instead of correct tires but would not do anything about it. I also had the ac checked on wife's car and they claimed I needed a compressor. Price was 2500.00. I had my nephew check it and all that it needed was freon. If you're a women, I suggest not to go there at all. I'm not degrading girls at all, I know they will take advantage of you not knowing about cars.

Incompetent, Unreliable, Inefficient service provided by Firestone AGAIN. With past bad experience at Minneapolis Firestone (Hawthorne), I should have not gone to Firestone again. I had to go there because my engine light turned on and I was going to a hospital with my wife. Saw Firestone in Edina and thought to get it checked. I showed them the scan code P0301, they still charged $99 for diagnostics claiming there could be other reasons and they will thoroughly check. After their diagnostics, they told me that one ignition coil is totally not working and suggested changing all four spark plugs and all four ignition coils, plus cleaning the fuel injection system. Got that all done, also applied for Firestone's credit card offering 10% off. Still my total bill after 10% off was $800. Then in two days again the engine light came up with code P0300 (multiple misfire detected).

Now this time first they were trying to tell me that this is another code and could be charge for it. I somehow talked to them through this because multiple misfire is related and he agreed. Told they will take a look and will fix it without any charge. After their fix, they made up a story that there could be carbon in EGR valve and Firestone don't have tools to fix and all causing this but they cannot fix and told me to go to the Mazda dealer if the engine light comes again. Now after 5 days of their fix, again the engine light turned on with two codes now. P0301 and P0401. Now, I am not sure whether the things they changed and did that cleaning and charged me so much was really needed or not. Plus, I highly doubt the diagnostics. They charged $99 and couldn't find the real problem or just didn't do any diagnostics at all. ‘Cause changing spark plug and coil was also suggested by the car scanning code at Autozone.

This is not the first time I had a problem with the Firestone. In Sept. 2018, I got the tires changed and I had to go back to them 7 to 8 times because my TPMS light used to turn up after them changing the tires and tire pressure used to be alright. Now that time also, after 7 to 8 visits they finally took off responsibility from their shoulders saying that, “We cannot do it. Please contact the Mazda service center.” This time again after their two attempts, the second time they said the same to go to the Mazda. Then Why did I pay you so much and got parts changed from Firestone when you really don't know. And you try to get away with it without fixing it and moreover increasing the issues in the car. I am definitely not recommending to anybody to ever go there and I hope to get refund to all that was done for incompletely detecting the problem and not fixing it completely. Unprofessional and feeling cheated by Firestone, yet again the second time.

Even with a 12000 mile and 12 month warranty they refuse to replace them. Said they cannot prove anything is wrong after driving around the block but we should replace the rotors because they show signs of bluing which means heat damage. The truck is now unsafe to drive. On the paperwork after inspecting the truck they stated we refused to have the brakes and rotors replaced but that was never offered. They did offer to replace them if we paid for it again.

I had got a oil change done back in May 09, 2019. And haven’t my oil change done that long and next thing you know. After paying for services and things like like then leaving my car was making a strange noise in the engine I took my car right back to the company. And complained about the noise. The employee and the manager tried to act as if I was going crazy because I was female and didn’t know anything about cars I’m not that simple. Other than that. I got in touch with corporate about the problem and they was really nice and understanding and I appreciate them. But the manager over the store was all rude and felt some type of way and I’m the one who should have felt up type the fact it’s my ride not theirs.

I went and took my car to a different location as the manager requested I do so. To see what the loud noise was and then the other store did everything else but found out what that noise was that was loud in my engine. And said everything was okay and even my oil level was low and I have pictures and witnesses to prove it. And the person never said it everything was good or not but was talking about other things that was needed to be done on vehicle. Which raised a red flag for me. I notice recently my oil light came on and I just had a oil changed done not too long ago from Firestone. Now I’m upset that could have done damage to my vehicle. Why did my oil run out so quick if my oil change was done properly? I need answers or I need a refund??

I have been going to the Firestone located at 1001 Bridgewood Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76112. I have the lifetime alignment program with them and I have been complaining that their alignment program is not working. In the fall of 2018 I got 4 new tires from them as well as an alignment multiple times. I was heading to Houston this weekend and once I arrived I had a slow leak in my RR tire. I took it to Discount Tire and that is when I saw the worst looking tires I have ever seen. The back right tire had NO tread in the middle of the tire. The two front tires wore down to the metal on the insides, etc. All 4 tires had to be replaced.

The brand of tire that was used by Firestone had never been heard of by Discount Tire. The quality was supposed to be rated for 50K miles and they did not even last 8-9 months. I am not sure if your alignment machines are not calibrated correctly, or you sold me junk tires, but either way, I had to spend $540.00 to get 4 new tires and I want a refund for my tires. I also want someone from corporate to see if the alignment machine is calibrated or not. At this point, I believe this location is run by crooked people or incompetent people, I am not sure which. I have pictures of each tire, the tread wear and the date on these tires. There is no way to send those pics to you on this contact form but if you send me an email I will send them to you. Ask yourself if tires should look like this after 8 months if you get alignments.

On 6/14/19 stepped out my door to go to work and my tire was flat. So I called AAA, in 15 mins they were at my door changing my flat tire. I have a warranty for these tires that are Firestone brand so I can take it to them to repair/replace it. I got to work called Firestone in Riverdale, MD where I purchased the tires. The girl told me that I could not get an appointment until 6/29/19. 2 weeks later. For a flat tire. Are you ** kidding me, really. So she gives me 2 numbers to a Tire Plus, this is their sister stores and they will help. So I called, made an appointment for the next day.

Get to the store standing waiting, then another woman comes in and he takes her before me. So she has an appointment for 1pm, same as me, but I’m not on the list and I called the day before and made my appointment. So he calls off all these names that are for 1pm. So now I have to make an appointment for for 6/16/19 just for a flat tire that is under warranty, that I already paid for. So unless you are paying hundreds of dollars for tires or others services from Firestone it is ** you and your warranty because it becomes a waste of their time and you are not a priority. Did not think it would be this much just for a flat tire that is under warranty. I know to stick with the smaller shops. I guess the small jobs are not big enough for your big britches Firestone.

Incompetence. For the second time we have taken my car to the Firestone Frisco on Preston Road locations and they were unable to correctly diagnose the problem. This time, they finally found the problem but ordered the wrong belts and were unable to get the correct one. We had to pay to have my car towed a second time to take it to the dealership. Firestone forced us to pay $200 to release my car and all we got out of it was one of two belts, UNINSTALLED, and a huge waste of my time. They are unknowledgeable on any car newer that 2000 and they are NOT "Complete Auto Care". All they really know is tires.

Don't waste your time or money! Now, we have been following up with their corporate office numerous times for months trying to get anyone to call us back for a refund. Managers, Directors, and Executives are all blowing us off by ignoring all of the messages for months now, just waiting for us to give up. I'm writing about my experience with at radiator repair at a Firestone complete care center in Fredericksburg VA. My daughter was traveling home to NC from Delaware. When her vehicle started to overheat. She pulled over and immediately called me. I informed my daughter to pull over and call roadside assistance. They determined there was a leak in her radiator. Roadside assistance got my daughter to the nearest FCC. Unfortunately I had to get my daughter back home to work the next day so I purchased a plane ticket for her. The next day I received a call from FS stating the radiator needed to be replaced. I authorized the repair of which I thought was extremely high over 900 for a 2005 Honda Civic radiator labor and parts. To make a long story short the vehicle was repaired I paid over the phone and my daughter picked the vehicle up the following weekend.

After about four hours of driving the vehicle began to overheat again. She stopped and called AAA and had the vehicle towed back to a Firestone in Belmont NC. The next morning I received a call from the second store stating the vehicle was improperly repaired in VA. As a result the vehicle has a blown head gasket and will need to be sent out to be repaired. My complaint at this point is that no one has called to update me on the claim process nor has anyone reached out to rectify my inconvenience, that is, provide a temporary vehicle for my daughter to drive while being repaired.

Additionally I think the cost of the initial repair was outrageous I priced a new radiator for the vehicle at less than 50 dollars and a radiator kit at 184.00. That is seriously overpriced. I have used Firestone for years and the service at least in NC has always been stellar. But their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. At this point I would settle for a phone call with information about next steps. The damage incurred to my daughters vehicle is clearly the mistake of Firestone in Virginia. I would think they would be a lot more prompt with resolution of the claim and speedy restitution. It is frustrating waiting on a call that never comes.

Because of words spoken to me when I picked up my vehicle and words printed on the invoice for approximately $1,200, I expected there to be no further cost to repair my air conditioning. After the installation of the new compressor, it states on paper that no leaks were found. Additionally, an employee told me the following: “You should be fine. If it blows hot air at you again in the next two to three weeks, just bring it in and we’ll fix it for you.” He then went on to mention something about a warranty being applicable. Additionally, I specifically stated that I had taken it to Honda and they did the initial test. In other words, if there was a leak, the dye would be visible.

Needless to say, I am now being told there is a leak and the condenser and line need to be replaced. The additional cost is over $500. I was offered free labor if I purchased the parts, but my research has shown the cost for the parts to be vastly inflated.

This is the second time in a row there are additional “issues” after I pick up my vehicle. A prior engine light led to my being told the top and side solenoid needed to be replaced. I paid for everything they told me I needed, only to have to return - losing a day’s pay of $136.00 in the process - with the engine light on again. The reason? The side solenoid was never replaced during the initial visit (as I was told it was)! I had no choice - then - but to pay for everything that needed to be done. Again.

I am going through this with Firestone again, but refuse to hand away my money a second time. It is absolutely unfair and dishonorable to put me through this again. I am willing to continue with this repair for the price already paid - without bringing lost wages into consideration. If that is not possible, I will be challenging this charge on my Firestone card and canceling it. I am also going to look into replacing the compressor and returning the one installed by Firestone as the initial step towards a refund.

On May 14 we were headed home on I-10 thru Lake Charles, LA, when we had a blowout on the car that we were towing behind our RV. We called Firestone on Ryan Street--and the guy said to have it towed in. Meanwhile, traffic on I-10 stopped completely for about two hours (because President Trump's motorcade was due by). When traffic resumed and the tow truck could reach us, we again called Firestone--who once again said to tow it in--which we did. The tow driver left the car at Firestone and the guy behind the counter told us he couldn't change the tire until the next day as other people had come in since he talked to us. He was not even nice about it. (It was about 4:30 pm and the store closed 2 hours later.)

We had reservations that night and were following other folks in an RV. We bought the new tire from Firestone and called an emergency roadside service truck, and that guy changed the tire in about 15 minutes--in the parking lot of Firestone. He charged us $100--and I would like for Firestone to return that money to us. I chatted online with a Firestone rep, who opened a complaint ticket for us--but did nothing. A rep called us the next day, apologized and said he was sorry it happened and "we don't do business that way"--BUT they did do business that way. A refund of the extra $100 would go a long way to soothing my burning sensation every time I think about what happened.

Took my car in for a Freon leak in my air conditioner and after 3 trips and a $1000 bucks later they finally fixed it. First time was told it was a leaking Schrader valve so they replaced both high and low side valves and recharged my system for almost $300 and less than a week later it's blowing hot air again. I popped my hood and one of the Schrader valves they replaced was leaking. You could see the dye coming out. I was skeptical about the valves being faulty from the beginning because I know quite a bit about cars myself and had already checked my valves with soapy water and they seemed fine but I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

2nd trip took it back and they replaced their leaking valve and recharged it again but a week later here comes the hot air again. 3rd trip I asked how long they do the vacuum to make sure there are no leaks which should be 30-45 minutes and they assured me they did it properly but if they did it should not have taken 3 trips to figure out where the leak was. In the end I was told over the phone it was my condenser and that the part would be $350 and labor $200 for a total $550.

So later that day I go to pick my car up and my bill is $811 dollars. The guy assured me I heard him wrong on the phone. I looked up Condensers on Rock Auto and could have got one for $140 and had it installed for $200 at anther local shop I called. When I told him Rock Auto has them for $140 he argued that there is no way and that I needed to look again. It's an 2008 Ford Taurus SEL. Look it up and you'll see. A thousand dollars later and my air is finally fixed hopefully.

I really feel like I got the shaft. I should have known better to take it to a big box mechanic shop to begin with for a repair like this and just stuck with oil changes etc. The other shop I called said they charge that much on labor because it ties up a mechanic for a couple of hours at times when they could have did 10 oil changes in that time. If they don't make this right once I'm done paying them this small fortune I will be taking my business elsewhere!

They told me I need a new air filter because it was dirty, brake fluid flush, and coolant flush. I asked them to show me how dirty the air filter is (I just inspected it a week ago and it looked like new), and where in the manufacturer service interval says to flush the coolant and brake fluid at this mileage. They then told me they didn't actually inspect the vehicle. I came in for a vehicle inspection and tire rotation. They did not inspect the vehicle, nor did they rotate the tires. Instead they tried selling me needless parts and services. If someone chooses to work here, their integrity is likely compromised. Updated on 07/24/2019: I have been a loyal Firestone customer for decades. I visited a store and asked for my rear brake light to be replaced. I later learned they broke my LED light/wiring in the rear brake light. They did not tell me and let me leave with a damaged rear brake light. I returned for them to fix it and they would not touch it and would not admit they broke the light while replacing the regular brake bulb. I paid over $176 out of pocket to have the LED light/wiring repaired and Firestone said they would reimburse me.

I have been dealing with Firestone Corporate for over 4 months and nothing has been resolved. I was contacted by a third party inspector to view my vehicle and the reports to be reimbursed and the inspector did not show up for the appointments and will not return my calls. Firestone has been a disaster during this process and have lied on numerous occasions. Do not ever take your vehicle to a Firestone, as they will damage your vehicle, not tell you, lie to you about the damage and you will have to pay out of pocket expenses for repair and never be reimbursed. Avoid Firestone at all costs. By far one of the worst companies I have dealt with for customer service. Never go to Firestone!

Original Review: If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I asked for a bulb replacement on my rear brake light and they broke the light and did not tell me. I later learned of this and went back for them to fix it and they claimed it was already broken and they could not fix it. They ripped the LED socket out of the wiring and the repair cost $175 out of pocket and Firestone did not reimburse for the initial bulb change, which was never changed and broken, or the out of pocket repair from their mistake. Shameful and disrespectful to customers. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Atrocious to treat customers this way. I will NEVER return to a Firestone and have told everyone I know of their failure in car maintenance and repair. Firestone, you should be embarrassed.

Took my car into Firestone for a simple oil change, Car had 56,000 on it - Oil had been changed always as scheduled. First, of all the Manager acted as if I were stupid - Ask him for a Mini Oil Filter/ and Full Synthetic Oil - Of which he replied, "The Filter we use is the same if not superior, and there is no such thing as full Synthetic Oil"? I ask what that meant, and he said all puffed up, "That is such a misconception by the public. No such thing - It is always a blend, and that is what you have been getting."

Normally, use Free Service Tire located in Fountain City Knoxville TN - They changed my oil, I ask if they did an overall inspection of belts, hoses, battery, fluid levels, etc. He stated, "That is part of what we do," received the invoice which stated that is what they had checked. Also, ask to check for any leaks, or anything after change - He replied, "You car is 100% and good to go" - A week and a half passes, car smelled of oil after change - My check engine light came on - This time called the Dealer Mini Cooper - 4100, worth of damage - Oil had leaked throughout the engine, incorrect filter, or they had not secured the filter or the plug correctly. Dealer could not tell due all the oil that had leaked through out onto the engine.

No oil reading at all when I pulled into the dealership. Dealer had to steam engine to remove oil, replace belts, hoses, spark plugs, timing chain and many other things. (All these things had been done in the past couple of years as part of preventive maintenance.) Have receipts of all this work was performed before. Dealer had to replace due to the entire engine was covered in oil. This was due from their oil change - Filed a claim with Bridgestone (Firestone is their Franchise). That was on April 7th, 2019, have emailed the adjustor many times with no response - Take my Advice - Never Take your Car to Firestone or Bridgestone - Your dealer actually has a better rate, and warranties their work.

I took my car to Firestone in Sumter, SC. to get 4 new tires... oil change and to get a life time alignment. My car was kept til the next day and I was informed I needed some front end work before the alignment could be done. I asked the gentleman on the phone how much all of it would cost... tires... oil change... and alignment too. He figured it up while I was on the phone calling it all out as he done it. I was given a quote of $1100. I got my car back on Wednesday and to my surprise the total was over $1700! I spoke to the gentleman about it. He tried to tell me that the $1100 quote was for the front end work only. That is not what I was told or I never would have agreed to have the work done. I am very unhappy about this! I have done business with Firestone for many years. I have always bought Firestone tires because they outlast all other tires. Never again will I have any mechanic work done by Firestone. I took my car to a service center because my windshield wipers were acting up. They sold me 2 windshield wiper motors for $256 a piece. These are available at any auto parts store for about $40. After they supposedly tested my car I took it. Paid $881 for the total repair. The original problem immediately recurred so I took it back. After 4 days they still couldn't fix it and I demanded a refund. They put my old parts back in and the car hasn't acted up since. These people are vultures app to screw every customer that walks through the door. I would never go back for anything other than to buy tires that were installed elsewhere.

I guess I should have read reviews before taking my vehicle to Firestone Auto in Titusville, Fl. They said my Freon was 1/2 pound low, liars. It only holds 1 1/2 pounds and I checked it before I brought it in and it was full. Cost $249.00. Did not fix the problem, so they say it is a valve and it will costs $250.00 more. I agreed. Stopped working before I got home. Only about 2 miles away. So the next day I am leaving on vacation, with no air conditioner in Florida. They said I had a 12000/12 month warranty, but warranty on what? It is not fixed.

So I come back from vacation and I took my car to a real AC shop. None of the above things were wrong with my AC. It was a wire that had almost worn through. Part and labor cost $150.00. It took 20 minutes for the tech to find the problem. I plan to stop there and talk with them. If I don't get any satisfaction I will try and dispute charges on my credit card and if that does not work I will file a claim in small claims court. This deception has to stop when it comes to auto repair. I would never advise anyone to take their vehicle to Firestone for any AC repair, or for that matter any repair.

Got back in truck on that following Saturday to make a few runs. When I turned it off oil started dripping from the bottom. Now mind you at this point my truck wouldnt start back up at all. Called Firestone. They say bring it back so it's not driveable. Have to get it pulled to them for them to tell me I have a crack in engine. Ok how did this happen? They saying not their fault and being very very rude.

I filed claim with corporate inspector. Came out ok. Now at this point I'm calling leaving voicemails even went over heads tryna talk to supervisor who isnt responding or trying to return my calls. It's 4600.00 to get this fix. I'm single parent of three with other bills. I dont just have that kind of money laying around but what I'm going to do is take what I have and hire an attorney. I've almost lost my job kids getting to school late and they cant even return a simple call. It's poor customer service and bad for their business. They wouldnt get another penny out of me at all. Store # 019925. Managers: Brandon and Eddie. Appointment scheduled via Firestone website at 12:14am on 5/1/19. Scheduled 4 tire replacement with installation of Bridgewell PS 890 Touring 225/55R18 Out the Door Price $415.71. Upon Arrival Manager Brandon told me that he did not have the tires and it would take over a week to get. I requested his supervisor because I I had wasted my time and I barely made it to that store with a nail in my tire. Spoke to General Manager Eddie, he stated the best he could do was install 2 alternative tires. When I pushed for the other 2, he finally said he would see if another store had this alternative tire.

He finally confirms that the Bossier store has 2. He stated he was going to go get it. At this point it is an hour after my appointment and my frustration is growing. I expressed concerned about the delay, his response was that they are backed up, they would get to me when they could. I reminded him again that this is not honoring my appointment and your Triple Promise.

My car is finally ready around 7pm, 2 hours after my confirmed appt. I paid $240.00 more than the price quote I received online. I was told that they could not honor that price even if inventory was present. I showed both managers screenshots of quote and confirmation. Eddie gave me 15% off total, however that is not close to the amount I was quoted. Firestone is not living by their promise of: Fixed Right, Priced Right and Right On Time. After enduring all of that, you would think I would have received the highest degree of service in an effort to put a bandaid on the situation.

Upon checking my car to see the tires, I noticed scratch marks on all 4 my rims and tires. I completed survey with complaint info. Brandon called me to address concerns. Upon returning his call he told me I needed to bring car back so he could take pictures. Upon my arrival he is standing at the end of the bay smoking a cigarette. Not once did he put the cigarette down while looking at my concerns. Maybe this is okay for your standards, but not once did he consider my standards or allergies.

Brandon walks around the car telling me that the scratch marks are from hitting a curb. I followed him around the car recording him as he explained that the other marks are from Soap/lubrication. After spending $653, I didn't think I would have to take care of their job too. Unprofessionalism-Worst Service -Price Gouging-Damage to my Tires/Rims. Evidence I can provide: Appointment info, Tire Quote with date and time, Receipt, Pictures of Damage, Video of Brandon explaining damage, Cigarette in his mouth while working. Thanks.

After arriving at the store early for my appointment the service writer takes my keys and my vehicle sits for 45 minutes without being touched. I was never told they were behind schedule or didn’t have enough mechanics on staff. The last time, last week, I had to ask for my keys back so I could leave in time for another appointment. On contacting customer service I was told the store manager would contact me within 48 hours which he never did. Very very poor attitude on the part of Firestone. Let’s start by saying, I have been a loyal customer at this Firestone for a couple years. Their Manager Brian and head Mechanic German were amazing, honest and if you had a question they were more than helpful and took the time to make sure it was understood. That said, there is a new Manager and new employees here. A couple of months ago, my sons check engine light came on. We took it in for an oil change and to put it on the reader. I got the car back, was told the oil change was complete, and they had documented the check engine light was on. I advised the receptionist, that was why I brought the car in. I paid 150$ for them to place the car on the diagnostic reader and find out, the 02 sensor was bad (a 30$ part at AutoZone). They wanted 300$...

Yesterday I walked out to my driveway. My left rear tire was flat. I noticed a nail in the center of the tire and one about an inch and a half from the sidewalk. I was told by the mechanic, he could not patch the tire due to the nail being too close to the side wall and I needed to purchase a new tire. The tire he quoted was 200$ and they could have it in later that day.

Since I was on my way to Napa for my mom's birthday, I called Les Schwab to see if they had my tire. They informed me, Vacaville Les Schwab had the tire. I diverted to Vacaville Les Schwab, Gave them my car, an hour later, the Mechanic came out and told me, he patched my tire, that I did not need a new tire and the service was free of charge. For his honesty and Customer service, gave him a nice tip and my business from Now on. It’s too bad Firestone has poor business practices. It seems they take your money any way they can. Too bad they lost such a great Manager in Brian and Mechanic in German. Should have held on to those guys. Honesty is always the best practice.

To start off luckily I was not stupid enough to fall for their CON ARTIST ways... but I want to get the word out there to not use the Firestone at 2908 Broadway Pearland, TX 77581. This was the first time for me to go to this location; we usually go to the other location in Pearland, Tx off of Broadway. I went there less than a month ago. I have had just got my tires rotated and balanced at Discount Tires pretty much right next door to this location. We have lifetime alignment on all of our trucks.

So I go there for my appointment for my alignment and about 30 minutes into waiting two guys come inside seeming super concerned. They ask me to come outside with them to look at my vehicle. They start putting on this big dramatic show about how I need a completely new suspension and how they are refusing to honor my lifetime alignment because it is so dangerous for me to drive. Mind you the bill they quoted me for was 2,400.00$ worth of work... I drive a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 HD that only has 70k miles on it. I also don’t use it to haul or to go off roading. There is no reason I should need a new suspension.

On a side note... My husband is a trained mechanic.. He has a degree in this and use to work for Firestone for 4 years. He also has a buddy that is the manager of the Clute, Texas location. We called the manager he knows and he told us that they are lying. He had just worked on our truck 6 months before and it has no problems like that... Long story short I just want people to know what type of crooks they are. I really think they saw me coming from a mile away. Young college girl in a big truck. Oh she must be stupid. Please avoid this location or this company all together.

This rating would be less than one if it were possible. I took my truck to Firestone in Lake Worth, Texas, to have the TPMS sensors installed, They used their tire machine incorrectly and damaged the rims and did not get them back where they had marked them for balance. I brought it to the service manager, he agreed that they damaged rims and mounted tires incorrectly, asked me to leave it with them and they would send them out to be repaired. Now I am down with my truck for 3 days but ok he is honest and there is nothing to be done about the down time so I am ok with that.

The manager of the store calls me back the next day and accuses me of trying to get a new set of rims from them, states because they were not mint and brand new it didn't matter they damaged them OR WHAT DAMAGE THEY CAUSED. I advised I know they were not new but they were in good shape. Furthermore, it didn't matter what shape they were in, any damage they did to them was on them. I expected to get them back in the same shape I gave them, nothing less and nothing more. He was not happy as I am a Double Master ASE certified tech and told him nicely what the tech did that was incorrect and caused the damage.

It's one thing for Firestone to damage my rims and want to stiff me on it but it is entirely another matter to be accused of trying to get something for nothing. I have been a tech for 30 plus years and never seen anything like this guy. I would never set foot in their store again and as a tech that works with shops and retail customers across the country doing technical support, YOU CAN BET I WILL LET EVERYONE WHO WILL LISTEN KNOW MY EXPERIENCE WITH FIRESTONE AND HOW IT WAS HANDLED!!! On 3/29/2019, I was at Firestone for a routine oil change and vehicle inspection. It was recommended that I get my brakes serviced, which I initially declined but decided to get done foregoing using my own mechanic to get the work done, which would've saved me a considerable amount of money. I truly regret that decision now! The day that Firestone worked on my rear brakes, I noticed on a very short drive that my truck was vibrating/shaking and I could smell a weird odor coming from the rear brakes I'd just had serviced. A light cloud of smoke was visible. I brought it straight back, explained the issue, and they adjusted my brakes and (e-brake). I noticed the same problem a few days later and was livid! I spoke with the Manager, Sean, and made an appointment to bring it back on Mon., the 15th of April. I arrived at 1:30, for a 2pm appt., and remained there until the shop was closed for the day.

I was and am still extremely upset by the experience! During my time spent waiting for my vehicle, I was told that all of the parts that were ordered to repair my brakes didn't fit because the hardware kits only had 2 right-side parts, when there was supposed to be one for each side. That happened a few times. I was told that 4 vendors were called, plus Ford, and that there weren't any parts to be found for my truck. I sat there waiting all that time only to have to leave my vehicle overnight, which really made me mad because I need my vehicle, and I wound up missing a 10 am appt. on Tuesday, the 16th. It was to take 1 day (a few hours), to complete.

What was to be the correct part was ordered before I left to go home Monday, and it was supposed to be there at 7 am Tues. morning, and I was told that my truck should be ready by 8. Sean was not there on either day, so I dealt with another manager/supervisor. It was discussed that I next to never use my emergency brake, but they thought that I'd be just fine without it as long as I'm not towing, or hauling great weight. So, I was asked if I wanted to have the e-brake removed, and that should solve the problem, and I wouldn't have to leave my truck overnight once again. I was told that if I didn't have the e-brake removed, that I'd continue having the same issue, which is a vibrating/shaking vehicle that "cooks brake pads", etc...!

Knowing that I need my vehicle, and that I was already inconvenienced greatly, I okayed the removal of the e-brake, due to the fact that after calling that morning to find that the parts did not come in and so my truck was not repaired,(I WAS TOLD THEN THAT I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL WHEN MY TRUCK WAS READY TO BE PICKED UP), and later that day I was told that my choice was to leave it again, or allow them to remove the e-brake. I used "Lyft", to get a ride to Firestone on the 17th, arrived around 9am, to find out that nothing could be done except to wait, and hopefully, they'd get the right parts, which hadn't been successful prior to, which could've meant having to leave my truck another night, or let them remove the e-brake.

Over 2 days, I spent too much time (hours) waiting for my vehicle. After I'd left, I thought about my e-brake and that it was removed, so I called the same day to see if they still had it, and was told that it had been discarded. My brakes may have required some work, although it was NOT necessary at the time! I went for a routine rear-brake job, and ended up without an emergency brake! I've been a customer for many years. I remember that a few years ago, I complained about another manager, "JP", if I remember his name correctly, took advantage of me by telling me that I could get my Ranger repaired, (which I was getting serviced there). My alternator, (I think) caused my truck to stop running. It shut down on me while I was driving it.

When I called to see if I had it towed there, could I get the work done the same day, and I was told yes. That's not what happened! My feeling was he said that just to get the job because I didn't get it back until the next day. I'm very very unhappy about my recent experience! I'd like to have something done about this issue. I wish that I would've gone to my mechanic instead because I believe that I'd still have my e-brake, and my rear brakes would've been fixed properly! I'd like to know how this issue can be addressed and resolved to my satisfaction. I'm not sure that I'll ever go there, or to any other Firestone facility again!

I think that my E-brake should be reinstalled at no expense to me! I don't like that my e-brake was working before the brake job, and now I don't have one. More importantly, it would cost me $169.95, just to have Holman Ford in Maple Shade, NJ., inspect it to see what's needed to replace my e-brake. I believe the value of my vehicle was lessened by the experience, which I think will make it harder to sell for good money because people like e-brakes. I don't know what else to do! I'm actually infuriated by the experience! I'd like to know how the issue can be rectified.

Now, I took it to my mechanic. AC Compressor working, Check R 132 level good, AC clutch engaging. Added a little R 132. Blowing cold air. My research on parts: AC Compressor $100.00, Line $30.00, R123 $19.00. So, the AC compressor was indeed working, even if it wasn't the repair estimate for parts and labor would be about $900 more?

But the real joke was when I presented them with this $50 "coupon" upon payment, they said it had already been applied. I said, "How can this be as I've not even shown it to you until now", she pointed around on the very confusing bill to show that 2 "discounts" had already been applied and that they added to $50, I said these numbers don't actually add to $50 but she insisted that somewhere and somehow it was already included in my quote. Total bait and switch, I find this company's marketing methods highly questionable, to say the least.

This Tuesday, April 10, 2019 I took off from work to drive to Fredericksburg to pick up a used car that experienced significant problems. My mother purchased the car on March 1, 2019 and because of the issue was assured the car could be return. We took the car back to Car City after lengthy discussions with the owner Chris **. Later, after 22 days, we found that the loan Chris stated he could unwind could not be undone.

We then agreed to take back the car. After becoming educated about consumer rights, we agreed to pick up the vehicle. (after 27 days) Chris stated he would refuel the car with a full tank of gas (he did not) and clean it up. I was told when his (Chris) Car City representative took the car to be cleaned he noticed a steering issue and took the car to Firestone for alignment located at 2708 Fall Hall Ave, Fredericksburg VA.

There, according to the Car City rep (Alex) he was told the left tire rod was broken and needed repair at a cost to my mother of $575 dollars, according to **, Store Manager, this price was a deal. I refused the service as I suspected fraud, contacted my lawyer who recommend I have the vehicle towed. When the tow truck driver arrived, he found no issue with the vehicle. I towed it to a reputable service shop anyway.

There, the vehicle was inspected and was found to have no damage. This review serves as the first step in my attempt to alert the public to this fraudulent incident. I have text to back up my claim. I look forward to hearing from someone from Corporate with regard to this incident. Thank you, ** or Behalf of Joan ** a 78 year old retired teacher on fixed income.

I scheduled an appointment to have my rotors and brakes changed. After already being there an hour and a half the service manager tells me that they have to wait on a second set of rotors because the one they had in stock were not for my car though they should have checked that before they confirm the appointment that they had rotors in stock for my car. After the second set of rotors arrived they were still incorrect and I had to wait for a third set of rotors. After everything was said and done I drove away only to find out that the brakes didn't work. They went all the way down to the floorboard and had to turn around and waste another hour because they were so incompetent.

I have been using this Firestone for years. They are conveniently located across the street from where I work. Before a planned road trip, I decided to get my tires rotated and balanced to get the most wear out of my tires. Before I dropped off the car, everything was fine. Alignment and road feel was spot-on. I get the car back and on the highway the next day, there is vibration at highway speeds and my alignment is off. What happened? I was told by the store when I called, that the vibration should be expected since one of my wheels were bent. WHATTTT? I did not have any bent wheels when I dropped off my car. AND WHY WAS I NOT TOLD WHEN I PICKED UP THE CAR? To date, this issue has been escalated to the area and regional managers and so far no calls. It's been a week. Can't we get something done here?

I bought four custom chrome rims for my vehicle. I took them to Firestone to be installed as I have with most of my other cars. First they scratched my rim Beyond repair. Second thing they did wrong when they installed the tires on the wheels the valve stems for hitting the calipers. They wanted to give it to me that way I told them no way. So they ended up sticking the valve stems on the inside of the rim. These rims had a secondary hole in the back for the TPMS sensors. He told me I would have to fill the air that way. Not only that the two sided taped the TPMS sensors on the inside. They blundered this job so bad that I had to spend two hundred and three more dollars to have a another company do the job right. I would really like my money reimbursed from Firestone.

Updated on 04/11/2019: This review is in regard to my previous review last week. Someone from the corporate office replied to my post. I emailed their team and was told someone from the corporate office would contact me in 72 hours. It has been a week now and still no response. I’d like to get the vehicle fixed and have this situation, but Firestone is slow to repair their mistakes that have caused damages to my vehicle.

Original: In late January, my wife took her Subaru in for service. They charged her for axis and belt work. Needless to say, the work was not done completely, or properly. The belts were not tighten, or put in properly. A week later we took the vehicle back to be fixed. My wife informed me that the Firestone location was now trying to sell her on replacing her alternator. However, this was not mentioned or addressed the previous week. She mentioned this to me. I went to see the work they have done and I was disappointed and frustrated with the work. The belts were still not put on properly and the alternator did not need to be replaced.

Furthermore, the so called inspection check of the engine was not properly performed. Her engine oil and coolant on the vehicle were below the recommended levels. Yet, on the service report, they were checked off as green and fine. This leads me to believe that the properly inspection was not performed. Anyways, I called to ask for a refund of the work. I spoke to the associate who spoke with the manager and agreed to refund our money.

After a few days, we did not see the credit back to the account. I called and they were no longer going to be refunding the money. A few weeks ago the work performed on the new belts has failed on the vehicle. One of the pulley bracket is now broken and the belt has been tearing. Again, going back to the previous work performed. The belt has been ruined. We have been trying to get a hold of someone from their corporate customer service department to resolve this issue. It has been over two weeks since the first complaint has been submitted and still NO ONE has contacted us to resolve our situation. What is most frustrating is, Firestone claims to customer service and I have not seen any assistance.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: I took my truck in to be serviced at this location and I picked up my truck on 3/16/2019, When they did their routine inspection they checked and tested my batteries. The technician that serviced my battery was Maddox and everything was supposedly inspected again before my truck left the shop. Wrong! That technician left an allen wrench or some sort of tool that ended up completely melting and destroying my battery and frying my alternator. At which point was sparking underneath my hood and obviously caught fire and caused damage to my mesh protectant on my hood.

I contacted Firestone at this location on Wednesday 3-26-2019 and explained everything to the Manager Jay who insisted that they would fix it and be taking responsibility but I would have to bring my truck to them. I stated that I couldn't and wouldn't do that because I do not know if anything else now is screwed up due to your tech leaving that tool on my battery and that my battery wasn't charging so I wasn't going to be left stranded or worse unless I knew it would be fixed. So he stated he would contact his claims department and have someone come out and assess the damage.

I finally heard from the claims department today on 4-1-2019, and he was completely unprofessional and rude. He stated they weren't fixing it and if they were taking responsibility "Your ** truck would be fixed already." He also stated I couldn't possibly know that a tool did all that damage and wanted to know who looked at it and told me that. I stated that it was a mechanic I know and trusted more than the idiot that works at Firestone and left the tool on my battery and that it honestly wasn't any of his business. He also stated the manager Jay from this location never sent him the photos of the damage I sent him and told him I was complaining about a new battery I had Firestone put in recently.

I sent all the pictures I had to this so called claims department professional who did nothing but belittle and yell at me and call me a liar. Well if these idiots arent going to communicate with each other or if they just dont give a flying F about their customers! I will continue to blast their pitiful and money stealing company on all forms of social media, Including this Firestone location!

He told me, "Don't worry your alternator is bad and that's an easy fix." After having my vehicle the entire afternoon I was told it wasn't alternator it was a sensor. I paid my hard earned money for the repair and took my truck home. The next day it died again, had it towed by Geico and they had my vehicle day and half and it never died on them. I get it home and two days later it died again. This time they tell me they believe it's the crankshaft sensor but they can't put it on because my truck is showing no codes.

I took it home again and this time when it failed they couldn't get it started and they admitted it's the alternator. I paid to get that repair and it lasted until the morning. After five visits there I didn't bother having it towed there. I found a independent mechanic, and called my bank. Basically, I could have been killed the way this thing was stalling in traffic and you can best believe I will never do business with Firestone again. I will be purchasing a brand new truck, no more taking chances on my life.

I took my car to firestone because it was having some issues I thought was battery related. Basically they changed battery but the rest is a horror story I’m going to corporate about. They claimed the fuel module needed to be replaced. Took four days to get said part supposedly.. give me my car back after 8 days. Then two days later my car stops without warning. Very dangerous. They say it’s the fuse panel so they claim they change the fuse panel. Get car back. They say it’s better than new. Falllsseee.

More issues. They tell me 100 for diagnostic. I’m a single mom. No support and can’t afford constant diagnostic. They oil my fuse panel which apparently is soooo not a good idea!!!! They say you're good to go I drive two hours away and get stranded and miss work because my car is yet again broken. After shelling out more than 1400 in a two week period I got car back home and to a reputable mechanic. He said, "Maam Firestone didn’t change your fuel module. The bolts have not been taken out since the factory put them in in 2012". Then find out the fuse panel was not changed too.

Paid all that money for them to just keep my car sitting around. My kids were in the car during the periods it just stopped and such and had I been on the highway my kids could have been killed by a car slamming into us from behind. I’m livid. So angry that they would knowingly put me and my kids at risk like that. I will be going to corporate and demanding my money back and will be asking for compensation for lost wages and stress due to all this that they have done or not done I should say!!!!

I took my car into to Firestone for an oil change. The check engine light was on, so the rep asked if I wanted a diagnostic test to find out what was the problem. He said the cost was one hundred dollars. I found out later he could had used a code reader to find out I had a bad catalytic converter as opposed to running the costly diagnostic test. Both yielded the same results. Except one was free and the other one hundred bucks. This is the second time I have had a problem with Firestone from their constant up sale, to their lack of other options presentation. #overthem. I have been a card-carrying member for over twenty-five years. I have seem the customer service decrease to almost nothing. All the Company cares about in the bottom line. There is no such thing as customer care.

I will be taking my business elsewhere. This is a company I can no longer trust. Ohh, I almost forgot to mention that I exchanged a few words with the rep regarding his integrity of omitting all options. I am sure this is probably common practice. To steer ignorant customers into getting services they may not necessarily need. I can say I was ignorant, but I do not expect to be taken advantage of by a company I have had a relationship; and have trusted to care for my automobile. The exchange between the two of us went on longer than I was comfortable with. That within itself is telling. The rep was so busy trying to be right, he missed the whole point of the conversation.

For the sake of time and space, I will not write everything that was said. The situation concluded with him not charging me for the diagnostic test nor did he charge me for the oil change. I know some of you may read this and say "good you made out great in the end". Well, I would gladly pay for any service I need, but not for any I do not need. Then the way the rep said, "Okay I will take the diagnostic off your bill, and you know what, the oil change will be free too." He seemed to get very emotional and irrational. I mention one service I do not think I should be charged for and he comp all the services. Where they do that at? Well, they do that at the Firestone on West Gate City Blvd in Greensboro NC. Do not go to this location unless you are prepared to be fleeced.

Had cooling issues so I took my car to Firestone for a diagnosis where they told me I needed a new thermostat. I agreed and paid not only for the thermostat, but also for the cooling system test. Took my car home afterwards and was running fine, however when I drove it to work the next day it died on me in the parking garage. In addition, when I came back out on lunch break, there was a huge pool of antifreeze under and to the side of my car. Called the manager and he helped arrange a tow truck to come off which later they charged me for. I would have never agreed, but he made it seem like they were taking responsibility.

Foolish me, as they called later and told me it was the water pump and it would be an additional 600.00. What can I do besides go in and tell the manager how robbed I feel and then hand over the money so I can I have my car that I depend on to get me to work? I spent additional money paying Uber to take me home one morning from downtown Nashville and in morning traffic that cost a hundred bucks.

I told the manager about the money I spent on Uber and he gave me a tiny discount which equated to 20 bucks. How cheap and small of a gesture to a customer that would have brought future business to Firestone. I trusted them to fix it right the first time, and then when it wasn't fixed, rather than worrying about keeping a loyal customer they'd rather cheat me out of 600 lousy dollars. And the biggest irony of it all is the sign in the lobby that guarantees that it's fixed right or it's free, and I don't believe for one second that it was fixed right the first time. Please stay away from the lying and cheating company called Firestone because they may rob you and your family for even more money than they did me!

So I take my car back this morning to Firestone, explain the high pitch noise and the service guy - who I worked with on Monday- says it sounds like a belt. That’s BS!!! The noise is coming from the left front side of my engine compartment. We’ll see if they can fix what they broke. Otherwise I’ll have to go to a Mazda dealer to get the job done right and pay them to fix what Firestone broke. Then I’ll have to go to small claims court to recover my costs.

I did not use my car till 6:15 pm. I drove for about 5 miles and my oil light came on and the car stopped. I checked the oil stick and found out there was no oil in the engine. I received a call on Friday March 1st at 5 PM to be told they valuing my car at 3200 and they are unable to find an engine with 188,000 miles and they will not replace the engine with anything with lower miles. Good if you only want new tires or an oil change. Had an issue on the interstate where my engine was whining and the RPM would spike followed by the car not being able to accelerate. Eventually the car was not operable because of it. I had the car taken to Firestone. They tell me that the cause of the problem was the alternator and battery. I get those replaced.

Jump ahead two months. First time driving on the interstate since the car issues. Same exact problem from the first time occurs. The engine is whining and the RPM jumps followed by the car not being able to accelerate. I take the car back to Firestone because they have a policy that says if they didn't fix the problem the first time, then they will do it again free of charge. This time they tell me that the issue is the transmission (two other sources also confirm to me that it was the transmission this time). They also inform me that they do not have anyone qualified to do transmission work. This was not the biggest deal. I understand that not every garage is going to have someone qualified to do transmission. My issue comes with the following.

Since Firestone is unable to fix the transmission, I wanted a refund on the $1000 they charged me for the service the first time where they did not properly diagnose the issue and allowed me to drive a vehicle that was not road safe on the road. Rather, they tell me two things. 1.) It is extremely likely that the RPM spike and engine whining followed by the car not being able to accelerate were caused by something completely different two months ago compared to the new issue of the transmission being out. 2.) When I push them on how unlikely it is to have two different issues within a two month span that only occur when I drive long distance at a high speed on the interstate, they tell me that it actually is highly possible.

In fact, they go on to tell me plenty of rare things that they have seen since working like someone getting new tires and those new tires getting flat right after they got them on because the person ran over a nail (how that is a related incidence is beyond me...) They also tell me that there in no way to prove what the issue was the first time because they had nothing in their notes about it. Nothing in their notes? So now it is my fault that they didn't record any notes the first time about what my issue was when I told them exactly what happened the first time? Maybe I am fishing here, but it seems more likely that they are trying to avoid giving me a refund or honoring their policy of fixing the issue if they don't fix it the first time. In the end, they 'generously' gave me back $100 of the $1000 they charged me. How kind... It is safe to say that I will not be going back to Firestone. The service I received was unacceptable.

My husband had to ask him, "What about the keys".

Then when we start the truck it's making a noise that we never heard before. So we go get Daniel. Mind you the manager to listen to this noise and he said, "Oh I can tell you that noise is a bad starter. You will need a new starter". The only explanation he could come up with is the noise didn't start until I tried starting the truck. So my truck wasn't making any noise when I left it with them. And they didn't hear that noise the whole 4 days in their possession even though the last 2 days they had to move it in and out of the garage bay mysteriously no noise. But by coincidence when I start the truck for 1st time in the parking lot it makes the noise and everytime afterwards what a letdown. The comment Daniel made to me is I can give you a quote for a new starter but you're not gonna like it, was just very poor customer service. Worst experience ever.

I bought 4 Bridgestone Dueller A.T. REVO 3 and needed them mounted on my custom 17" wheels which still had the old tires on them and were not mounted on my Tahoe. I dropped off my wheels with old tires on them at 11AM Saturday Feb. 16th at the 4390 Eaton St. Mt. View, Colorado location and was told I could wait for about an hour or pick them up later. I had errands to run so I would be back in a couple of hours. I called a couple of hours later to check status of tire change and they still were not ready? The store closes at 6PM so I figured I'd show up at 5PM to pick them up, they still were not ready. They had been mounted but not balanced because they were having problems doing so. I told them to forget about it - that I would have it done later.

After looking at my rims closer I noticed all 4 had sustained physical damage with gouges and scratches and was told by the service manager that it was normal and common which isn't right and a bunch of baloney. I told him I wanted a full refund of all labor which he did only after I asked him for the district manager's name and phone number, which he did not give me? ** also told me that warped or bent rims can create a problem for balancing. I informed him that I've never hit anything or done anything to bend or warp them and have never had any problems with the wheels until they got ahold of them, after seeing the scratches and gouges I think they bent my rims and created the problem.

I've been trying to find a phone number for Corp. Regional office in Denver Co. for customer complaints but their website gives you the runaround. I looked on the back of my receipt and found a Customer Retention phone # 1-800-367-3872, it's a start because they definitely need to be held accountable for the damage incurred to my rims while in their possession. This is the 3rd location I've tried and all 3 locations have produced less than satisfactory results. 3 strikes you're out!

I then called at 5:45pm and they told me they were working on my car. Finally on Sunday I called for the status on my car and her told me “they haven’t figured it out yet “. At that point I got a ride to pick up my car and the guy at desk told me the battery was disconnected and they just left the car sitting in the parking lot for two days. A car worker connected my battery and I took the car. My family has been customers for a long time, and I will never go back there again, very disappointing! Now I have to Uber to work for Monday.

The whole experience with this FRAUD of a company has been so daunting that I will not go into all of the details. The manager called and explained it was a mistake that there is no need for a coolant leak diagnostic and that everything is now fine with my car. I am updating to three stars since they did reach back out but I am still not sure I can trust that everything that was already done was needed but since they did the work I am agreeing to not dispute the charge for the work that was done. Thank you.

    Original Review: Feb. 11, 2019

I had went in for an oil change Tuesday Feb 5th at the National City/San Diego Firestone and told there was an oil pan leak and brake issues, so I went in next day for the diagnostics and was told I have $1800 worth of work. So at first I said just do brakes but called back and said do it all. At that point being concerned, I go back the next day to pick up my car and Alan stated I declined the coolant leak detection, but he never mentioned it and now it's another $70 just to diagnose the leak even though they already did a leak diagnostic.

So my uncle checked my car out for me and he said there is nothing showing up plus there are no leaks, I have full amount of liquids even after days of being parked, there are and never been leaks on the ground, drove my car over 2 hours straight past couple of weeks and there is never low fluid, car is not overheating and no warning lights, I think I was being tricked into this stuff especially being a woman. How do I know if the other stuff now needed to be done. I am so upset about this and thinking about getting a lawyer because it is wrong to take advantage of people. Avoid Firestone and go else where.

I needed two front tires and an alignment. I had researched and gotten a tire quote online. Went to the store and was told the least expensive tire was $100.99. This was after I asked for the on sale tire that was $62.99. I was told they were out of stock. I said I would wait until the tires came in. I was then offered a discount on labor. Price went from $399 to around $350. I again stated I would wait for the tires to come in. Sales person then went into shop to see if he could find something else that would work. He returned moments later telling me I was in luck, he found just the tires I was asking about. Someone had ordered them and not picked them up. He would let me "have" them.

I then showed him the online quote which specifically stated that those tires were in stock at the Natick MA store, had to further ask for the 10% discount shown on the quote. Salesperson then mumbled an apology for the “mix up" and said something about having to correct what the inventory said. Be very aware of what you are doing. In my experience, it is better to tell them what is wrong with your car rather than asking them to diagnose. After reading these other reviews, I'm actually aghast at the rampant dishonesty throughout this company.

Updated on 08/13/2019: Still, no one from Firestone corporate will call me back. Also, they are clearly upset that I won't go away as they have blocked me from being able to post comments and my concerns on their Facebook page. They used to give me the response my "issue has been escalated and someone will call" but now they don't even do that. My son never got back the $438 they stole from him but I continue to have success in preventing others from using Firestone and being ripped off. One of those situations happened the other day when a friend of mine went in for tires and they tried to sell him a "lifetime alignment" option. They told him cars need an alignment every 6 months so it was worth the money...Are you kidding me? Fortunately, he decided to leave. When he told me about the experience, I was able to tell him about Firestone did to my son and it validated for him to stay clear of Firestone.

Original Review: My son in college had an alternator and battery replaced at this Firestone on September 28th. Less than 4 months later (Jan 17, 2019) the alternator had to be replaced again. The alternator installed by Firestone was defective. My son broke down in another town and had to get it replaced right away to get back on the road. Firestone won't make good on the bad alternator because he didn't come back for them to replace it. After store manager said there was nothing he could do, I was put in contact with Area Manager. He said there was nothing they could do since they wouldn't be able to return the bad alternator to their supplier. But, I have the bad alternator to give them so they can return it to their supplier... "Oh, well there is still nothing we can do".

I then asked the area manager to provide me with the contact information of a higher level individual at Firestone so that I could escalate the issue and get a resolution. Well, been trying to get that contact information for 13 days now and the area manager simply says "It won't do any good to contact others because it will always come back to me". When I contacted Firestone customer service asking for higher level individuals with more authority, they respond by saying "regional mgr will contact you", then "divisional manager will contact you". Of course, none of them ever do. Not only would I recommend you not use this Austin, TX Firestone, I would suggest you don't use any Firestone. They installed a bad part and won't make it right.

I have been bringing my cars to Firestone for years only for the reason we have a Firestone card and make use of the 6 months interest free financing they offer since most times it's difficult to pay out of pocket all at once for car repairs. That being said, we are DONE! My care was there in June 2018 for tires and BRAKES. Come September, my car is acting up, not accelerating and the check engine light is on, traction light on, oil light on. Bring it back in. Later that day I am told I need camshaft sensors to the tune of $309.98 and an Engine Pressure Sender $308.59 + Tax and fees.

In addition, I requested an oil change $36.58. Repair the above mentioned items and $810.49 later I am on my way. SIX weeks later, my car is doing the EXACT SAME THING and all of the lights are back on. Back to Firestone I go. I am told yet again I need to replace the Camshaft Sensors. WHAT?! I just had that done 6 weeks ago. "OK then it should be under warranty" and in addition they say my calipers on the brakes that they just installed 5 months prior have seized! $471.10 So, now I am thinking I should be good for quite some time. WRONG!

FOUR weeks later same problem and all lights are back on again! Bring it back in again and they say "Camshaft Sensors". I'm like NO!!! I had this done in Sept and again in Nov. Something else has to be causing this to happen. "OK, we will call our tech line on Monday and see what they recommend". Monday they call me and say it is NOT the camshaft sensors and that my engine is burning oil faster than normal and that is causing the lights to go on. I just need to add oil to the car more frequently.

So you are telling me I paid for camshaft sensors in Sept for $309.98 for nothing??? "Looks that way"! So I say, "OK, just do the oil and I will be on my way." They tried to charge me $99 for the engine diagnostic when I already paid for it in Sept and they replaced things that weren't even the cause. They removed that charge. Go to get in my car... DEAD! Won't start. They jump the car and lo and behold my engine light is back on. Could be from the jump.

Now they are saying my car was dead because I need a new battery. "UMMM... Didn't you do the courtesy check which includes the battery check." "Yes, but we were more focused on the engine light" but you put it on my bill. So you are saying you did things that you didn't do... $249 for the battery and this will be my VERY LAST purchase from Firestone EVER! I myself, my husband and my mother, who have been using them for years will NEVER be back, in addition to anyone and everyone I can tell about their poor service! FIRESTONE, you lost our respect and you should be ashamed!

Late December, 2018, I went to Firestone on Joint Base DML, to get my donut spare for my 2008 VW R32 valve stem replaced. It had a audible and visual leak at the top of the valve stem. I did not tell the service so called tech, the size or type car the donut spare was for. I go in and ask them how much to replace a valve stem on a donut spare. The so called tech goes, "Nope. Can't do it. That wheel is too big to go on our tire machine. You have to go to the dealer and get a new wheel and donut tire." I replied, "For a valve stem!!!!" The so called service tech, proceeds to apologize as I turn around, and quietly head for the door.

I then drive about 10 miles to Morgan Tire, where I usually get my tires from, this time I bring the donut spare in with me. The Service Tech asked what I had. I told him about the bad valve stem. He said some of them are a little tricky to get to, looked at the wheel and said, "Oh. Yours isn't too bad." "You waiting for it, or dropping off?" I asked how long a wait it would be. He said they had a few cars ahead of me, about a half hour. I waited, and about a half hour later it was done. I asked how much, he said $10.00 bucks. I told him, "thank you very much," and went on my merry way.

I've rebuilt engines, transmissions, and rear ends. I know a little bit about cars, and knew you don't buy a new wheel/tire assembly to replace a bad valve stem. I don't know what their problem was but these guys are no good. Might file a complaint with the Base. Just went here because it was about a mile or two closer. Besides, no one can screw up a simple job like this, right? WRONG!!! I was very WRONG!!! Learned my lesson, you've been warned!!!

So I agreed to have brakes and rotor done. A week later, I had a nail in my front driver side tire. I take it to the same location on Galloway. The worker Jake tells me they can not patch my tire because the thread was too low.

Since my tires was under warranty they could give me a brand new set of tires that was higher than what I paid for the original set. I asked Jack if I could get the same brand which was Primewell 215/55R17. Jack advised me that Firestone no longer sell that brand. It was discontinued which was a lie. I decided not to get the tires since they wouldn't fix my flat. I then decided to call another store, spoke with Lee at the Centerville location. Asked if they had any Primewell tires. Lee advised yes they do. They had some in stock and so did the store I just left. At this point Firestone will never get another dollar from me.

I went to the same Firestone where I have been going for a couple years now. I went there for two tires. And they destroyed my two rims. They handed my car back to me knowing they messed my rims up and didn’t even tell me, So I went in the store to tell the store manager, he then came out and looked at my rims, Acknowledged that they completely scratched my two rims up. He then said he will have them fixed. So he called me a couple days later to have me drop my car off. I have the rims fixed.

When I went up to pick my car up they didn’t fix all the scratches they created. They did a crap paint job and said they fixed it which they didn’t. So since I got nowhere with the store manager I then called the 1800 number. Put a claim in. I then never got a return call from this lady who is supposed to be handling my claim. But I got an email telling me they denied my claim. I have made phone call after phone call trying to appeal their denial with my claim because they are in the wrong and they messed my 200 hundred dollar per rim up. And they won’t take responsibility for it. And I have yet to get a return call from this terrible company.

I've been using Firestone 20 plus years. And I will never use this company again. The last thing I wanna say is 9 months ago this same Firestone completely scratched one of my rims when I was buying a new tire. The rim they destroyed was a brand new rim right out of the box. The store manager called told me they would fix it. Which in this case they fix the one rim, probably 'cause it was a brand new rim. But with my 2 rims they just destroyed. They won’t fix what they jacked up because it wasn’t in perfect condition. But either way they jacked up my 2 rims and won’t fix.

This Firestone obviously has a history with scratching rims. I have low profile tires so don’t know if their machine is screwed up or the people who work there don’t know how to handle my rims, but either way they messed my rims up and won’t take ownership of it. I will never deal with a Firestone ever in my life, Terrible customer service.

This time my daughter went in to get four tires which in itself was not pleasant. Anyway they upcharged to get four tires Which I agreed to. The main problem is a phone call to my daughter that said they had to replace all the lug nuts because they had "swelled" and the lug wrench would not fit. Let's understand it is just at freezing (32 degrees). How could something so cold (metal swell?). Plus they stated ALL LUG NUTS had to be replaced which is an up-charge of $110.00 plus tax.

All tires had been removed in the past two months without a problem on and off (for a brake job)...plus at least two tires were removed for a state inspection. Again not a problem. How can Certificated ACSEs do not have the ability to work on troubleshooting nuts and not break them in the process. I am currently waiting for a call from Firestone From the tech. This is a known issue. Firestone wants to upcharge on the lug nuts.

Last week I took my SUV into the Firestone Center on Schillinger Rd. in Mobile, AL for a tire rotation, alignment check and oil change. I have been coming to this same center for a couple of years and they have done all of the maintenance on my vehicle since it was new. The next day I was driving and heard a scraping sound underneath my vehicle. I pulled over and checked under the front and saw that the aluminum skid plate that protects the oil pan was hanging down and dragging on the pavement. When the Firestone mechanics reinstalled it after the oil change, they only put two of the twelve screws back in. Eventually it flopped around enough that the wind bent it down and it started dragging.

I contacted the Service Center and they asked me to bring it in. They checked out the damage and told me that they would take care of the repairs. Since then, I have driven back to the service center four times after being told that the parts had been ordered and were coming in. Yesterday they called to assure me that they had the parts and I could come in to get them replaced. Unfortunately, nobody checked to see if they actually had all of the parts and it turns out they were still missing screws so they had to zip tie the front of the skid plate on. I live in the country and it takes me almost an hour to drive to this service center. The next trip to get the last screws put in will be the 5th time I've had to go down there to get this resolved.

The excuse they gave me was that it was the end of the day and the technician was tired. I got there at 4:00 and left at 7:00. 3 hours to change the oil and rotate the tires. This is a failure starting at the top. I can understand a tired mechanic making a mistake but whoever was supposed to check his work and sign off on it dropped the ball. They seem to think this was no big deal but that plate could have easily come off and cut a brake line or punctured the gas tank. The manager, Myles, has never once spoken to me in person even though I've been there 4 times. I've used this center many times but I won't be going back after this.

I was in shock when person gave me the estimate...which is almost $200 dollars. According to the person at the shop they have to remove the bumper and other things to install the light bulb. Honestly, that was a ridiculous estimate I have ever heard before. Anyway...the person at the shop suggest me to get a second opinion. So I went to Express Oil Change located on Beal Parkway Fort Walton Beach. Guess what! I only paid $21.19 and person took only 9 minutes to change the headlight bulb and he did need it remove the bumper or anything in order to reach the light bulb... In conclusion Firestone was a about to rip me off!! Overcharging me for a lot money for no reason. I am very disappointed. They lost a customer.

First let me say that this is the first review I have ever done. I had purchased tires through my local VA where I worked $860.00. Appointment was scheduled for 10 am today, my husband worked midnights and took his truck over for the installation of the tires after he got off work. At 2:20 the tires were on. My husband declined alignment check as he was so tired he could wait no longer. Staff at the Garners Ferry SC location did not keep him informed of progress and when he went to leave the tire pressure light was on. So back in he went to get tires checked and the pressure was 20 lbs less than what was supposed to be and there was a leak in one of the valve cores. We have never in our lives waited over 4 hrs to get tires put on with an appointment. That is completely unacceptable. Thank you.

The Service Center in Menomonee Falls, on Appleton Avenue, will be the tire destination I'll shop at for many years. I bought a new, not used, Honda Civic from Schlossmann's Honda City in January of this year. About six months later I started hearing the telltale sounds of an out of round tire. I called the dealer and talked to the manager. He was extremely arrogant and told me flat out, he's not replacing any tires on my car.

I called Honda America and they suggested I call a Firestone dealer. I did, the one at N83W15300 Appleton Avenue, Menomonee Falls, WI. I told a service writer my issue and within a half an hour it was discovered that, yes, I had a tire out of round, within a half an hour from that, I was back on the road with a new tire. Nothing out of my pocket! Awesome Service Center, I highly recommend them! I would stay away from Schlossmann's Honda City! What would've it cost them, about $60 that they would be reimbursed for?

In the last 2 years I have had to have the starter replaced by Firestone; twice. At the same location I have had the heater core also replaced twice, the third time I needed it replaced it took it to another business to have it fixed. In 2016 I first had the heater core replaced, only to have to do it again in May 2017. They did cover this one under warranty but I still had to pay for labor. After having my oil changed in December 2017 I started having engine issues in February 2018- only to learn that there was no oil after taking it back to Firestone. My engine did blow in March and my Jeep sat for a few months while I saved money to have the engine replaced. It was replaced in August and the heater core went out in November sending steam and hot antifreeze into the passenger side of my vehicle.

I did contact Firestone and was asked to bring in a copy of my receipt/work order from Tuffy (which I did on 11/22/18), from their manager James. I called a week later as I had received no response. I called and spoke to Josh and left a message for James. I did not receive a call back until today- from Josh. Letting me know that the Area manager Dan had not forwarded my information onto corporate as I had already had it fixed by another company and it was after warranty of 12 months. Well, if my engine had not gone out and it didn't sit it would have been fixed under warranty? I am at a loss with either the faulty parts that are being used; that they have to keep on being replaced. Or, the technicians that are doing the work. I now know that the customer service they offer is just as bad.

So the Firestone Store manager and Regional Manager cheated me out of $600. I'll summarize my experience below and let you decide for yourself if you ever want to use Firestone for your vehicle repairs: Truck taken to Bakersfield CA (New Stine Road) Firestone Location for repairs and was kept there overnight. Truck was broken into overnight and backpack, clothes, misc items, and speakers/mic were stolen.

Roger (the store manager) was notified when I went to pick up the truck that some of my items had been stolen. He said to have the items replaced and bring the receipts back and I would be re-reimbursed. I Had items replaced and brought the receipts back (only claimed receipts for my speaker replacements. Not all other other items stolen as well since I didn't plan on replacing them).

Roger calls me and tells me that the Area manager (Bryan **) needs original receipts. I asked to contact Bryan and was provided a number. Bryan never returned my calls until I made a formal complaint through their 1-800 number. Bryan then called me to tell me that I would not be re-reimbursed since it has been too long. I have now asked through the complaint system to talk with the regional manager and wrote a summary of my experience to them. I have not been contacted and it's been 3 weeks since my last complaint. I plan on sharing my story and giving Firestone negative reviews anywhere I can until somebody from Firestone calls me to discuss the situation. Thank you.

I went to Firestone (#006254) in Thousand Oaks a couple of weeks ago to have engine repairs done. I told them the reason for the visit was that the engine was misfiring and the notes include “intake manifold is bad, states that the vehicle is misfiring.” They charged me $99 for a diagnosis and found several other things wrong which I approved, including the Timing cover gasket which they added labor of $561.60. It took several days for them to do all of the repairs I requested. I picked up the truck only to have it die on me the next day when I drove it with the same misfiring issue. I called Firestone immediately only to find out they never worked on the manifold gasket but replaced another engine gasket. So I took it back to do the repairs I originally asked them to do.

When the truck was ready I was charged additional labor of $624.00 on top of the $92 part. This gasket was not too far from the original gasket they replaced so based on the notes why wouldn’t they fix it the first time? The diagnosis should've detected and confirmed the issue with this gasket and the original repair should've included both gaskets for a one-time labor cost. Since the truck was not repaired the first time per my request, they should've made the correct repair without an additional labor charge. I feel that the technician did not handle the repair order properly and I should not have been charged for labor twice. I have been a long time customer of Firestone and I feel that this was their error. And I should not have to pay for labor again and am requesting a credit.

This store used to be pretty good in the past, especially when a senior gentleman was working here. He is truly caring and knowledgeable. Since then, I gradually brought all of my car cares to this store, either a major or a minor issue. They always took good care of it or at least tried their best to help. Recently, I was so sad to find that the store changed the manager, who is very rude and hard to communicate — would not even have the patience to listen to a customer’s sincere explanation. First, he pretended he did not have the previous record. When I provided my copy that was given by the store, he changed to another excuse. The price is in mess too: within the same hour, he quoted four different prices for the same service, though he repeatedly said that he was using the same coupon, and to all customers.

Clearly, the store does not have a solid price but just plays the trick. I could hardly believe this is still the Firestone where I worked with for these years and recommended to friends many times. What a pity! I really hope the store can go back to the previous one that truly cared about their customers and their business.

For new customers, if you hear any promotional information from this store, make sure to request that they write it down (They don’t always keep their words). It will help make your communication with them much easier. For a service you are planning to get done in this place, if you can, do a bit search (asking friends or searching online), there are places that offer better price and service, and help you maintain a better mood. The young gentleman at the front desk was friendly though.

I called after church and I spoke with **, he said for me to bring my car in. I took it in, met with ** and with **. I chose to leave my car overnight for them to be able to fix the problem because keep in mind, nothing was wrong with my car before I took it into Firestone for just a simple oil change.

It's Monday and ** calls me. He describes to me what was going on with my car, he was trying to explain to me that what was going on was totally unrelated to the oil change. I was not happy, and I did let ** know this. After ** explained to me in his professional manner, I ask him how much everything would cost. Again, I let ** know that I wasn't happy.

I have been a customer with this particular Firestone for some time now. I had ALWAYS received GREAT service. ** let me know that my car would be ready to pick up after I got off from work. I thanked him, but I still wasn't happy. ** later called me to let me know that my car was ready. I told her that I knew that it would be because ** said that it would. I asked ** what was the total cost so that I would have the exact money to take into the facility, and ** said, "Nothing." I was like, I needed to hear her say that again because I really didn't believe what my ears was hearing! I said, "What did you say?" She said, "Nothing, Iris, you don't owe a thing. We took care of this for you. We appreciate you as our customer." I was shouting within myself, "HALLELUJAH!"

My daughter picked me up from work to take me to Firestone because I had taken the bus into work. When I arrived at Firestone, I saw ** wearing a smile. She took the time to explain to me, "like a doctor" exactly what had happen to my car. ** said that ** said that with good conscience, he really couldn't say for sure if it was something that they had caused, or if it was something that was already there. This was late in the evening and ** and ** took time with me. ** showed me the piece, the object that was taken out of my car and ** let me know that the Chevrolet Sonic's are known for these types of problems.

I will ALWAYS make Firestone my car shop! Firestone in Newport, Kentucky at 61 Carothers Rd. 41071. I will be getting a new car soon, but as soon as my warranty runs out, I will be right back at Firestone in Newport, Kentucky, as long as **, **, **, **, and ** are there. I have been telling all of my associates, family and friends about Firestone in Newport, Kentucky and I will be saying even more, now! I will keep in touch, I will be bringing pizzas, pop and wings to celebrate my new car with them. They are wonderful people and they really didn't have to be as honest and good natured as they are, but they are. I am forever grateful. Love you guys! God bless you all!!!

However, after that very thorough check they did not test our battery or remember to put our oil cap back on. So four days later our battery dies and there is oil all over my engine. The first email says, "We are confirming the time and the tires you need are at the location." The 2nd email says, "We have the staff and the tires. Your appointment is confirmed." The employees are saying it's the internet appointment again. If that is a regular problem, why wouldn't someone look at the appointments each morning to avoid punishing customers in this manner? I wasted time, gas and sleep while getting around the traffic for nothing. I was so frustrated that I couldn't hear anything to do with an apology. It's too late to get tires anywhere before I go to work. My wife will be home Sunday to the same old tires that need replacing. This type of service is beyond anything I could have imagined at FIRESTONE.

I scheduled a 10/24/18 1pm appt for alignment. Had to wait 1.5 hrs while the 9:30am appt was being handled. After alignment was complete caster was set to a negative setting, should have been positive. I had concerns with the setting specs at time of payment but the front desk person (Chris) told me the setting was accurate. I went back to the store (#347181 Renton, Wa) after reviewing my vehicle service manual book to talk with manager. He told me the caster setting would make the vehicle handle better on the road even though THEIR alignment specs says to set to positive caster reading. I have a screenshot of the alignment setting clearly indicating a ‘red’ or inaccurate setting. The front desk person (Chris) throw the employee who did the alignment under the bus blaming him for convincing me the alignment was accurate at the time of payment - not so. What an attitude Chris has.

But what really chapped my hide was I was told to come back next week and to set an appt. WHAT!? The alignment was incorrectly performed and I have to come back 5 days later. BS. I will be get my money back on Monday, either the Renton store crediting my credit card or calling VISA and they cancel payment. You want to talk to me, give me a call.

PLEASE READ especially if you are a woman before going to the Riverview FL Location on big bend road. So to make a ** situation worse. Who has ever been driving down the road and have a blow out they suck. So I AAA gives a few locations we can go to but chose to pay extra to go to Firestone but this location was a nightmare.

I called ahead of time and they said I would be able to get in and out because I had a football game to go to. But when I actually get there it’s a different story. And before I got there they asked my car year model make and tire size and was reassured they would have one knowing that my car was getting towed in and that I had a blowout. When I got there I was told that the tire was rare and they didn’t have it and wouldn’t be able to get one besides a $600 tire. Then before I left they said they found another but it was $400 and that I was lucky that they found one that cheap. And that they would have it within a couple days.

Let’s make sure that I state this again. Yes that’s one tire and didn’t ask for anything special. Just wanted a tire. So I leave the car there and take an Uber. Got home and my boyfriend was upset about the service and the fact that I was only offered what I was. The next day he got on the website and found several tires for around 150 or less. He called and spoke to them. Told them and they said, "Give us a few days and we will try to hunt one down". A few days later I hear back from Richard ** and he is like, "Your car is ready." They had went ahead and put the 400$ tire on and I said, "That’s not what was discussed" and he proceeded to tell me I was wrong. There wasn’t a cheaper tire. That I didn’t know what I was talking about. Didn’t matter what I said. He wasn’t hearing it “I was wrong”.

My boyfriend ended up calling back and said they agreed again on finding a cheaper tire. Almost three weeks later after not hearing from them I take a Uber to try to go pick up my car. Told them I was there to pick up my Mercedes. Richard again was very rude even to the guy Jeff that worked there, he was like yes the car that’s been here forever. I told them I hadn’t heard from them and they said there must have been an issues with phones. I didn’t have any voicemails neither did my boyfriend on his phone either. Just rude, very arrogant, condescending, demeaning tones and comments from Richard. So they tell me it’s 353$ and just pay it higher than discussed. Been without my car about a month. I ask where the car is and Richard stated, "I’m sure you can find it, it’s somewhere in the parking lot." Customer service lacked greatly. Very disrespectful, very inconvenienced. A complete nightmare. Women I wouldn’t go here!!!

I asked them to please take a look at it and they told me that I should come back at my "earliest convenience". That is unacceptable. If I came and got something fixed and turn around and your techs messed something up that wasn't broken before, I expect it to be fixed right away. I am completely dissatisfied. They said it was "a pain in the ** to fix". So what??? You guys broke it and I expect it to get fixed. I will NEVER take any of my vehicles back to Firestone ever again.

Battery is still under free replacement warranty and this is just to sneak away without providing service they commit to. Now they are saying it is not battery. It is something else when I could prove that battery died and I observed battery issues in recent past. I had to use Jumper. After driving 30 mins car is working. I can stop and start without any issues. So this is not alternator. Firestone suggest spend $120 and get it checked whereas battery costs less than that and they are not willing to replace what is under warranty. I asked, "So what if I get this validated with AutoZone and they say this is battery issue?" Answer is, "We only do our assessment not others." A complete ripoff.

But I still paid because I don't have time to argue with them.

After I picked up my car and drive for 10 miles, you know what? it break down again, same problem as before. I called towed truck again and back to the Firestone, and then the funny thing happened, the staff said: oh, your battery is not good, you have to replace it, it will have the extra charge, we can't do that for free. What??? are you kidding me??? Before 8 hours you just told me the battery in good condition. I can pay the replace fee but the Firestone has to return me the check and clean battery fee. Everything they did looks like they do just for taking more money from your pocket. Now I just want my money back and never ever return to this store.

I took our vehicle to an alternate Firestone facility and my experience there together with Firestone Customer Service support was excellent. Thank you for resolving the original areas of concern and remedying the situation to the degree that I feel reassured visiting Firestone for future repairs. Much appreciated!

    Original Review: Oct. 20, 2018

The experience at the North Smithfield, RI location was a very disturbing, unsettling fiasco. I went in requesting tire repair and left with a half completed job and a careless repair oversight manager expressing to me, "I'm all jumbled... I don't know what's going on. You'll have to wait for another manager because I don't want to get involved. Don't worry we'll set you straight," he said all too joyfully trying to brush off the chaotic confusion that transpired (when I got frustrated with his brush-off attitude and asked to speak with his manager, he asserted, "I am the manager. Everyone here is a manager.")

What was less than a $100.00 repair estimate somehow turned out to be closer to $200.00; what was supposed to be four tires balanced, turned out to be three tires balanced according to the first manager; but then it turned out to be two tires balanced according to the technician (I did not know what was repaired and what wasn't, and simply wanted to walk away from the frenzied mess here).

When I called Firestone Customer Service to seek assistance, fearing safety of the car and its drive-ability, another one of the store's "numerous managers" came rushing towards me in a chaotic confrontational manner: "You have an issue? Are you calling customer service? You speak with me!" He was so loud and frantic, that all the customers turned their heads in wonder as to what the heck was going on here. He continued this frantic behavior and defended his conduct -- customers still wondering in apparent disbelief -- until the minute I finally paid the invoice and left the store. Another reviewer -- on Google reviews -- mentioned how there was all sorts of swearing going on in front of their child during their visit to this facility. We sure would not have wanted a child's presence amidst the confusion and confrontational manner of this first and last visit to this facility.

After driving it for 5000 miles I returned for a rotation and balance. When I drove it the vibration was much worse. After closer inspection the tires that had been on the rear of the truck had worn a flat spot about every 12 inches around the tire.

The manager Trevor told me he would replace them because they shouldn't be wearing like that because the rear of the truck is fixed. Firestone suggested I rotate the tires, which I did. I hadn't drove the car in a while so I decided to use the car to pick him up for the weekend, about a hundred mile drive. Car started acting up on way back. I thought it may be U-Joint but I called Firestone. They suggested I bring it in when I got home.

Ten minutes after getting off the interstate the front left tire came off and ended up breaking though a fence one hundred yards up the street. I called Firestone. The manager said "I was afraid this may have been the issue, not torquing the tires, when you called earlier". I was shocked. He knew we were driving on the interstate from over one hundred miles away. I also explained to him that I took the car this weekend to pick up my son to be sure it was good to go. I said to him "What if I hadn't test driven the car and my son would have taken the car next weekend"? His response was "Let's not worry about the what ifs". As a parent of a college student that would be driving the car on the interstate the "What if" is huge. If this happens on the interstate the outcome is much different!

On 9-17-18, I purchased 4 Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 plus tires for my 2010 Honda Odyssey at Firestone Complete Auto Care (store number #025941) in Strongsville, Ohio. The auto technicians installed all 4 new tires and contacted me about a damaged TPMS sensor that had to be replaced on one of the tires. I agreed to the installation and price for one TPMS sensor. I picked up my car later that afternoon and drove home after the tire installation. Before leaving, I was told by the Manager named Chuck that the TPMS indicator light was still on but if I drove it for a while, it should go off. The TPMS indicator light did not go off and I returned to the same Firestone Complete Auto Care store on 9-19-18 for an additional fix of the TPMS indicator light and asking why it was still on after driving approximately 60 miles.

The auto technicians checked the sensor and decided to replace it with another one. I left the store in my car after being told by Manager Chuck the sensor was repaired and ready to go. I drove the car home and on my way to work the next morning the TPMS sensor light came back on again. I took the car for the third time back (9-20-18) to the same Firestone store to get the sensor indicator light off. This time upon picking the car up, the service advisor Dave and the auto technician advised me to take my Honda Odyssey to a Honda dealer to program and reset the sensors since they were unable to get a satisfactory reading on the TPMS sensor(s). Service advisor Dave told me the Firestone store would pay for the charges of the Honda dealer for the repair.

I went to the Honda dealer for the repair of the TPMS sensor(s) on 9-20-18. The service advisor at the Honda dealer informed me after having my 2010 Honda Odyssey accessed that I needed 3 new TPMS sensors because the 3 sensors on the remaining tires were unable to be reset or reprogramed. I was left with a repair bill of $352.71 from the Honda dealer for 3 TPMS sensors and installation. I picked up the car from the Honda dealer on 9-21-18. On 9-24-18, I revisited the Firestone auto care store (#02541) in Strongsville, Ohio for the fifth time in a week and presented service advisor Dave with a copy of the Honda invoice for 3 sensors that stated they were not in working order and had to be replaced.

Service advisor Dave indicated that Manager Chuck would contact me by phone the next day (9-26-18). I stopped in on 9-26-18 at approximately 1:15pm and left another message for the manager to call me as promised since I did not hear from him. As of the close of business on 9-26-18, I did not receive a phone call from Manager Chuck.

I am very disappointed in how this matter is being handled by Firestone management after returning 3-4 times for the right repair of a TPMS sensor(s) and being advised to take my car to Honda dealer with a promise of payment for the charges. I also experienced a no return phone call by the Manager as promised. I have my doubts on how 3 TSPM sensors can be unrepairable all at the same time which involved an additional cost by me. As a consumer, I can only trust and act on the advice of the trained service advisors. That trust and confidence has now been lost and I'm not sure how to regain it. I am hoping for a resolve of my repair bill form the Honda dealer as promised. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Firestone complete auto care of Issaquah WA did 3,500 dollars of damage to my Honda Odyssey. They charged my father in law 2000 dollars to replace the battery alternator starter, and tires. Brought it in for 2 tires, and because it wouldn't start. They did not know how to diagnose the problem so they just started replacing parts and in the process they altered the wiring harness to the ECU unit. My son in law and father in law were the ones who paid for the repairs and drove it 45 miles back. They were told all the flashing indicator lights were on because they could not clear the codes.

Next day I drive it around the block it will not shift and all the lights are going off. Had to have it towed to a Honda Shop. Their inspection found they altered the wiring and possibly blew up the ECU. 3,500 to fix. I am devastated. Have to fight like hell too. Had to File a complaint. Going to take a lot of effort and time. Now I am without a safe running vehicle. HELP. It is so devastating and so unfair for people to suffer being ripped off like this and stranded.

Updated on 10/07/2018: This is a follow up review of my complaint regarding the damage Firestone Bridgestone of Issaquah complete auto care did to my vehicle. I filed a claim with Firestone Bridgestone customer service. First I would like to warn people it took weeks of phone calls and emails to get to even get them to move forward on my case number. Next the claims manager set up an inspection by a company to supposedly inspect my vehicle and examine all the evidence.

The first inspection, was less than 15 minutes long and the service manager at the Honda dealer where I had my vehicle towed to from Firestone said the inspector asked no questions of him, said very little to the service tech there and left without asking for or leaving any information. The claims manager from Firestone did not call me after this inspection for several days I waited. Finally I had to call him, which by the way, was how it went throughout the so called Customer service process. In that conversation, he offered me starting at 500 dollars and ended with 1500 dollars to resolve my claim. I had to refuse because they in the course of their questionable repairs on my vehicle, had altered the wiring to the ECU unit of my Odyssey van and caused approximately $3500. Worth of damage to my vehicle.

So at my great insistence the claims manager offered a second inspection at which I insisted on being at along with 2 witnesses as well as the service tech of Honda. Again this took nearly another full week to happen. Note my vehicle at this point has been out of service to me for over 30 days and my life is on hold and I have missed work over their bad repairs and also because they absolutely with very little doubt caused damage to my vehicle.

The second inspection involved the inspector talking a lot about things unrelated to my vehicle. We were outside. The vehicle was on the ground. The hood was up, he shined a small flashlight and looked around nonchalantly, took a few pictures. He asked the tech a few questions. He talked about what he thought may have happened. He talked about the situations that could have occurred as the vehicle was being worked on to cause the ECU unit and witewiring to be damaged.

I asked the Honda Technician if he thought the wiring harness had been altered, he confirmed his diagnosis and visual inspection of my vehicle when it was towed in from Firestone was this was his and that because they were not able to get any communication from the Ecu they could not go any further to see if the repairs Firestone Bridgestone had done were solid. Again a lot was said of topic by this inspector a few more pictures then it was over seemly so we walked all together back into the service reception area of the Honda center.

Red flag time. I had the original invoice from Firestone Bridgestone of Issaquah in my hand and I asked the inspector if he had reviewed it closely to see that the ECU had obviously been working when my vehicle arrived at Firestone Bridgestone of Issaquah because the invoice has 2 pages plus of codes that they read from the hand held computer. It was shocking to hear him say to me "No, I haven't seen that yet let me take a look." He back tracked a bit and said of course he could get a copy if he wanted to. How can they say, an inspection is an inspection when this guy comes out twice, never actually touching anything, no tools not even an diagnostic device to hook up to my vehicle and he has done two inspections without even looking at the original invoice. He talks about an entire host of unrelated subjects.

So after this inspection I get a phone call days later from the claims manager of Firestone Bridgestone. The inspection conclusions is that the ECU unit was faulty when my vehicle was brought to Firestone Bridgestone of Issaquah. Lies proven. How do you explain the 2 plus pages of code that are part of my invoice? I ask, "How do you explain that no where on that invoice does it say anything about the ECU unit having issues?" How do explain that they determined I needed a starter, alternator, and battery without the help of reading the codes on the invoice. I mean which came first here the chicken or the egg. In either case they are proven liars and thieves.

My vehicle is ruined and I am just suppose to let them do this to me. I am DEVASTATED. I have to take this to court and get some help but I wanted the public to know how I have been treated abused and dropped off by Firestone Bridgestone. Stay away that even put tires on your vehicle in a reasonable manner. That was another lie they used to stall me when it was taking 5 days for them work on my vehicle. Day 4 they were telling my son in law they had the repairs done but were waiting on the tires. This I believe was them just stalling because they had not figured out what they were doing or what they had done wrong.

Drove in yesterday for simple oil change. $51.77. Of course there were hoses going bad, emissions test needing done, etc. About $500.00 worth of additional work. I scheduled for next Wed 9/5. On way home vehicle started overheating, I pulled over waited, cooled, proceeded, got home, they had forgot to put radiator cap back on when checking fluids etc. Called store back. Tech said, "OOPS sometimes that happens, put two gallons of antifreeze in it you'll be fine." $43.77 in antifreeze and new radiator cap later, it was still overheating, called store back, manager said, "Well, told you that you needed hoses... they're collapsed."

THIS IS OUR ONLY VEHICLE, have been making alternative transportation arrangements since noon yesterday, told two people this three times ($120.00 total), Tow bill back to Firestone $40.00... and after all this my car is sitting on their lot, not running, no idea what's wrong, when I called, I was told they haven't had time to check out. Took the car in for an oil change which of course ends up being double compared to other places which is ridiculous. Then they tell you that you need an alignment and should replace 2 tires so they offer you a "lifetime" alignment for $189 telling you that each time it is $90 and it should be done yearly so you think you are now saving. Then they charge you $250+ for just the labor to put on 2 tires and do an alignment and $90 for an oil change. Labor costs are almost more than the actual items and geesh I was there an hour at most. WHAT A RIPOFF! Almost $800!

We brought our car here due to brake issues. The car was there for 4 days before they diagnosed the issue. The manager Charlie would tell you that he would call you back but he NEVER did and then when you called him to inquire what was going on with your car, he would yell at you over the phone that he was busy. He told us we needed an ABS Break Module for our car and that he could save us money by getting the part used. He gave us a repair estimate and we told him to go ahead and order the part because we wanted the car to be working 100%. A MONTH went by and we called him back and he said his "contacts" were not getting back to him and he would call around again and get back to us.

ANOTHER month goes by and we call him back AGAIN and he said they can't find the part so we are going to have to go with a new part and the cost would be $1,500 plus labor. We told him to go ahead and order the part because we just wanted the car to be fixed. Two weeks go by and I told my husband there is NO way it takes 2 weeks to get the part new from a local Nissan dealership. I called our local dealership and they had the part in stock. My husband then calls and speaks to Mike and schedules an appointment for our car to have the part installed armed with the knowledge that we knew the part was in stock.

The day we are to drop off the car, my husband calls Firestone to confirm we are dropping the car off that day to be fixed and they tell us they don't have an appointment for our car and no record of making one. My husband and I were perplexed on why they didn't seem to want to fix the car but we were tired of the run around and so we brought the car to another well known mechanic and they did the job same day (they had NO problem getting a USED part-same day) and they also found that Firestone had rigged a part by gluing it together so no wonder they did not want to fix the problem properly. We will NEVER bring any of our cars to Firestone again and now have a new trustworthy mechanic that DOES call you back when he says he will and he fixes the problem correctly without any GLUE or runaround. Yesterday I brought my vehicle to the Firestone on Gause Blvd in Slidell La. I had a nail in the right rear tire. I had purchased the tires from that very same Firestone in June of 2012. There were 22,300 miles on the tires that had a 60,000 mile warranty. I asked that the tire be repaired and the be tires rotated. I was told that because the tires were more than five years old Firestone could neither repair the tire nor rotate the tires. When I pointed out there were only 22,300 miles on the tires I was told it didn't matter because the tires were more than five years old.

I told the employee I had a previous set of Firestone tires that were more than nine years old and had a free repair done to a tire in January 2012 at that same Firestone. He then repeated the policy and told me it was a state regulation. The only place I could get a tire rotation would be at a "Mom and Pop place". I showed him Firestone's booklet on tires and pointed out that it recommended that tires older than five years be inspected every year and replaced regardless of tread after ten years. He continued to stand by the five year "no repair" argument.

Seven hours and $139.01 later I had a new tire. I immediately went next door to Jiffy Lube and had the tires rotated for $23.90. Before the Jiffy Lube employee rotated the new tire he pointed out to me when the new tire was installed a lug had been put on at an angle. He could not remove the lug without damaging the screw holding it. He advised that I bring it back to Firestone and let Firestone deal with it. I declined and told him to go ahead and remove the tire and complete the tire rotation. He complied and my vehicle is in another shop now getting the lug screw repaired.

My wife and I have been taking our vehicles for more than twenty years to that particular Firestone and have spent thousands of dollars there. Yesterday was my last time and dollar Firestone will get from us. If there is a five year rule that forbids Firestone from working on its own tires then they ought to tell the customers that when selling the tires and pointing out the 60,000 miles warranty.

I took my new Jeep in to the Tehama Ridge, Fort Worth, TX location because I had a nail in my tire. My tires were under warranty and Firestone brand which is why I went there. After keeping my Jeep for 5 hours I called them to see how it was going and was told they found the nail but couldn’t see it leaking which means they can’t replace it if they can’t see it leaking. I was skeptical of this as I was told the nail was about an inch long. I got there to pick it up and brought a small spray bottle of soapy water to see if I saw it leak. Upon arrival I found my Jeep, saw where they marked the nail was and began to spray. Immediately the water bubbled up which indicated leaking air. I wiped it, sprayed again and once again saw it leaking. I went inside and asked for Zeke to come out and look. He saw it, denied that was escaping air, and then sprayed it again himself and finally confirmed it was leaking.

We went inside and he called my warranty company who said replace it. It was so late in the day Zeke asked if he could my Jeep overnight and inconvenience me even more. I said ok but would need it back no later than 12 noon. I went back to pick it up when I was called and saw that a completely different kind of tire, although brand new, had been mounted on my Jeep. They claimed it was hard to find an exact match. I looked it up online and found the exact matching tire within 30 seconds and it was in a local shop. So I was lied to not once but twice by Zeke. This is absolutely unacceptable. I emailed the corporate office and received zero response. I recently emailed them again and finally received a response to that email. They should have replaced my tire with an exact match as these tires were less than five months old. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FIRESTONE.

First, I wish to make the corrections as follows: I said 10W20 I meant 5W20.

I spoke with the manager. He agreed to refund the cost of the battery and to put the proper oil in the vehicle. However, he categorically denied that anyone there ever put water in the battery or touched the alternator wire assembly. His statement was that the battery could have "boiled over." To my understanding, the only way a batter would "boil over" would be due to overcharging with a faulty alternator. Given that the alternator wires were backed off their connection and therefore NOT charging, physics says that is not possible.

Although I no longer believe it was deliberate sabotage, I remain unconvinced that the wires backed themselves off. As there are no cameras recording in their bays, I am satisfied to let the matter drop in n agreement to disagree on these points.

Furthermore, he showed me in the paperwork I was not previously given. That does validate that the battery was already not responding with the expected cold crank amperage. However, he did not seem to understand that this is not the same as batter capacitance, which indicated that the battery was at full capacitance when measured by the men at Autozone. Regardless, that has been addressed with the refund of the purchase amount of the battery.

The issue with the oil is understandable. The Firestone computer has listed that the new standard oil for Toyota's is 5W20. However, the manufactures oil recommendation for my vehicle remains 5W30. Changing to the lighter weight oil absolutely adversely affected the engine sound. This seemed to be a point of contention so the manager called Toyota Care Center and spoke on speaker with the technician. Although he stated it did not seem like the lighter weight oil could hard the engine, it could potentially increase wear and tear, especially given that the engine was built to use the higher viscosity 5W30 oil. He further stated that the manufacturer recommended 5W30 is what is therefore be used on the car. Given that my car is 11 years old, it seems a wiser choice to adhere to that standard. The manager agreed to change the oil again and use the proper 5W30 oil and to change the fuel filter.

Thank you for your involvement in this issue. I appreciate your taking the time to address my concerns. I am satisfied with the outcome and no longer upset by what occurred.

Two days ago I brought my car to the 6102 Sunrise Mall location (Firestone Complete Care, Citrus Heights CA). I had a free tire rotation and paid for an alignment and an oil change. Their technician then came in and said I needed "a new engine air filter and that my battery was bad." I found that odd. I personally had replaced the engine air filter a couple months earlier. Although my battery is 4 years old, it has shown no signs of being bad. I then took it to AutoZone. The gentleman there said my alternator was not charging. Now that seemed strange. I have less than 1000,000 miles on my Toyota Corolla despite it being 2007. So today, my battery dies and I am stranded. I call USAA. At this point system failure within two days of my having it serviced with NO PREVIOUS PROBLEMS seems rather suspicious to me.

I ask the USAA roadside assistance gentleman if he can check the alternator cables to see if anything has been loosed, as I do not know what could have been detached, despite my suspicions. Sure enough, he checks the main cable in the front of the alternator and it has been backed off just enough to ensure battery does not charge. Their employee DELIBERATELY sought to leave me stranded by causing my perfectly good battery to fail. How many people has this location scammed this way???

I am a single woman traveling in Sacramento county. Clearly, Firestone employees (and possibly even manager) are so greedy they were literally willing to endanger my safety by ensuring I got stranded somewhere just to what, sell me more services that I do not need? I am trying to care for two kids on my own and they are seeking to defraud me of what little I have because I am willing to trust them to work on my car? What, in the case they could not use fraudulent meter readings. This is vile, disgusting, evil, thoughtless, selfish, wicked behavior. That employee (s) involved in this need to be immediately FIRED. And if they are doing this shady stuff to other women, they need to be shut down.

A few weeks later, I started losing power steering fluid and so I brought my car to another repair facility. It turned out that the problem was not the power steering pump but, the metal tube that was rubbing against the engine and finally split. After the tubing was replaced, I notice the knocking sound that Matt told me was the bearings was gone. The engine runs like new again. Firestone was going to charge me $3,900.00 for a problem that didn't exist. Needless to write, I won't be returning to their facility.

Got a call from Anthony telling us the car was ready but they were not able to get the key out of the ignition and that I would need to take the car to the dealer, since Firestone states it is a safety feature and they can't fix it.

I picked up the car, took it home and informed my husband of the key issue when he got home from work, we decided to take the car back to Firestone the next morning since everything we could find online and after speaking with a Dodge Dealership is that the cable need to be adjusted. We dropped the car back off at 8 am to Firestone (which now the check engine light is on) and explained that the cable probably needed to be adjusted. A few hours went by and Firestone called my husband and said they still could not correct the issue and that we needed to pick up the car and take it to Dodge. We picked up the car that evening after work and we realized the car never left the parking lot we parked it in that morning, the seat was never moved (I'm 5 foot and sit very close to the wheel and there is no way the guys that worked there were able to do anything without moving the seat).

Took the car to an independent Master Mechanic because we knew it was an easy fix after speaking with the Dealership, come to find out the cable was installed incorrectly on the gear shifter side, It simply was ran under the shifter opposed to running it above the shifter. We have reached out to Firestone Corporate who has not responded to us. I have disputed the charge on my debit card, as now I had to pay a separate mechanic because Firestone simply wouldn't correct their mistake...

I already knew that my check engine light was on as I was going through this process to apply for a waiver with the DMV. Upon receiving my truck, I noticed my truck sounded nothing like it did when I brought it in.

I drove around the block and right back to Firestone to ask them what did they do to my car. It was not running like it had been when I dropped it off at all. It wasn't picking up speed as it had, it was hesitating a lot and I kept smelling exhaust fumes. None of these things were happening to my truck when I took it there. I asked the people what they did to my truck and they kept saying nothing, but my truck drove nothing like it did when I dropped it off. Matter of fact it has never drove or sounded like this.

Since I kept smelling exhaust I drove to a local exhaust shop to get an inspection of my exhaust system just in case my converter suddenly clogged during the diagnostic test. The exhaust shop said I had no clogged converter or leaks. So I went back down to Firestone to ask what they did to my car and keep saying they did nothing. One technician let me know that the work I needed done on my truck was major work because it involved having to replace the throttle body position sensor assembly. He said that during the diagnostic test one of the sensors could have quit working causing the issues I'm currently having. I didn't believe that and feel they have done something to my truck causing it to run very choppy. My check engine light now blinks while I'm driving. It did not run this way when I dropped it off.

Today was one of those days. I dropped my car at 1.45 pm and the service advisor told me that it would take about 2 to 2 1/2 hrs for car alignment and tire rotation as they were backed up. I returned back home and did not hear back from them till about 5.15 which is when I called them.

The service advisor Evan answered and told me that the car is not yet done and will be the next one to be serviced. I did not hear from them till about 6.15pm and that's when I reached the location and to my surprise I found that my car has not moved from its placed. When I asked what happened the service advisor EVAN spoke very rudely with me and told me that they will be taking in the car now.

I just hated that moment and the response that EVAN gave me. I asked him who is going to be accountable for this. I kept my car with them for almost 6 hours and it was still not taken care of and he had no answer. I took my keys and left from there highly disappointed. After a trip to Kentucky we noticed the tire leaking air and returned to the Firestone store a few weeks later. They said they found another nail and the tire was not repairable, it needed to be replaced.

I also asked about my K&N filter. They said they threw it out and charged me for a new one that has to be replaced. I complained to the home office, but nothing of substance has been done. They said they would refund the tire repair (by the way I had the tire repaired a second time and it is fine). No refund yet and they still will not replaced my K&N filter and deny doing anything except what I told them, although I have witnesses they never showed me the filter, etc. My latest complaint was filed with the BBB. There are other places in this area and I would recommend you choose them for your car work.

Updated on 08/13/2018: The company lied to the Attorney General's office and said I saw the filter prior to it being tossed; however, my wife was with me and neither of us saw it. And again I told him, "But I did tell you." Anyway needless to say my truck did not go into the bay until 30 min after my appointment. I also told Ellis that I did not need a tire rotation because I did not have the lock for the tires. Ellis did not tell the technician about the missing key so the auto tech took an additional 30 minutes asking and looking for the key. This is not acceptable. Took my 04 Ford Ranger into service at Firestone in Davenport, IA. Problem: excessive amount of brake pedal travel. Firestone had done the rear drum brakes & guaranteed the repair. After dropping off the vehicle, went to have lunch & returned to find out that repairs were indeed needed but they said that parts were required that they’d not changed out. Parts on the warranty work were internal drum actuation parts & drums, which I agreed to have repaired. They also said they’d done an inspection of the front drum system & it would take a huge amount of work which I declined & they also pointed out that they thought my upper ball joints were bad, to which I told them I’d just had them inspected with no issues by another repair center, so I declined the repair & opted 2 do the complete front system myself. This included rotors, rebuilt calipers & pads which I successfully repaired myself.

However, when I jacked the truck up & removed the front wheels & noticed that my outer tie rod ends had broken boots! They had missed this important safety item! Also when I went to bleed my brakes, they had not flushed the brake fluid! WTF??? So, they pointed out a part that didn’t need changing, the upper ball joints, but omitted parts that were obvious, the tie rod ends! The reason I brought my vehicle to Firestone was for the supposed “expertise” that is obviously missing at your Davenport, IA facility! When I called the Service Manager, Mitch, all he wanted to do is make excuses rather than “own up” to his Service Dept errors, which I find totally disturbing. He should have not offered any excuses but should have offered only to “right the wrong”!

The most disagreeable statement when I asked him about the qualifications of his Service Techs, he replied that the Tech had 40 years of experience but he never said the guy was a “certified ASE Tech”, that’s disturbing as well! I’ve had bad experiences with auto repairs in the Quad Cities with facilities after being asked to do a under chassis inspection, returning the vehicle with major points omitted or dismissed like torsion bar struts being broke & another repair facility who were charged with doing a complete front end brake job, leaving the caliper mounting bolts untorqued & having one of them fall out that almost killed me while on the highway!

The reason I came to Firestone was I thought they’d be different, boy was I wrong! This disgusts me & what’s even worse is when the Service Manager tries making excuses, REALLY??? I’m reporting this cause the Service Department in Davenport, IA is in desperate need of a “tune up”, & for me at least, they’ll never see me in their store again! I’ll be posting this online so other “not so informed people” can judge themselves... Caveat Emptor!

I am so incredibly disappointed with Firestone. I have lived in the Charlotte (Ballantyne) area for 5 years and I have had 2 different cars that I have brought to Firestone for service. I have purchased at least one full set of tires from them as well. I went today in a complete bind because my battery was dead. They knew I was in a bind from the moment I called as soon as they opened. I told them I had turned the car off in the parking lot and they would need to jump it to start it at that point. They knew I was not in a position to bring it anywhere else.

I had called my dealership once I dropped the car off and was quoted for a new battery on a 2014 Wrangler with labor and tax. It would be just short of $200...but Firestone charged me $388. They said it was a "special battery." I am not entirely sure what makes it so special or why I needed it in my 2014 Wrangler... I do not drive anything wild for goodness sakes. I know this review will not get me anywhere and I have lost this fight but I wanted to make sure everyone knows that they truly take advantage of situations and knew I was in distress with a dead battery.

I took my Nissan Frontier to the shop in Longwood, FL. because the truck was about to high repeatedly, they said in the diagnosis I paid for that. The fan clutch was bad and it's time to change the thermostat. I said yes to both. At pickup they said "you're all good!" Great! So I got in and took it for a test drive. My truck began to overheat!

Called corporate. They got the shop to continue to diagnosis the vehicle and agreed to replace my radiator and water pump (which is tied into the timing chain). After they did that they found contaminates of stop leak. So they tried to fix it but gave up as they can't spend any more time on it. But did say my heater core was clogged. I said I'll take it back, when starting up the vehicle the check engine light was on. Read the OBD and it said "over advanced timing bank 1, over advanced timing bank 2." So... could they have messed up my timing when putting in the new water pump? I called the store and the store manager said "it's just we forgot to clear the code." Well am I ok to clear it? "Yeah you can clear it". I cleared it.

I went to do a thorough flush of my cooling system. Ran my water hose through both the inlet and outlet of each component heater core. First water came rushing out the opposite direction showing that the flow is clear and good! Found a broken part connecting to my heater core which would have allowed air in causing overheating that they couldn't resolve.

Filled and bled the system using Nissan self bleed process. Truck in idle was great not overheating and thermostat and fan kicked on at 208° and did its job. Brought it down to 190. When I hopped in the truck to drive it check engine light came back on and my truck began to quickly rise in temp. Got my old reader out and the code popped up again! (Over advanced timing bank 1 and 2)! So there is something that happened when they changed my water pump. I took it back to the shop and they said my tensioner is broken. It will be $1167 to replace. So what am I supposed to do now? It would take have happened if they checked the flow of my components and I'm sure that something was messed with... Now I'm stuck without a truck after being in their hands for almost two weeks! I'm done with that location working on my truck.

A few months ago, I entrusted my new-ish car to the Firestone Complete Auto Care facility located in Brookfield, WI (on edge of the Brookfield Square shopping center). I had asked for an oil and filter change. Two weekends later, I was scheduled to take a trip out-of-town using this vehicle, so I thought I'd check the oil. To my surprise, the level was way over the "Full" mark. Not a small amount, WAY over. This was a frustrating realization, because I know that it is not good to run any internal combustion engine with excessive oil in it.

So, I had to use an alternate vehicle for my trip. The following week I took my car back to the Brookfield Firestone and talked to them about their problem. I call it "their problem", as it indicates a couple of shortcomings: First, it may indicate that their machine that delivers the oil is not calibrated (puts out more oil than what was requested). Or, it means that the technician dialed in more oil than called for by the manufacturer. Second, it means that their technicians do not check the oil level upon completion of the oil change procedure. Techs should always check the oil level on every oil change effort since they may have made a mistake when looking up the make, model, year, and engine type.

The (assistant?) manager's response indicated a lack of concern. He started to explain that the markings on my car's dipstick must not be accurate! Upon hearing that, I challenged him on such a claim. A car's dipstick is unique to that make, model, and engine type. Furthermore, I had personally changed the oil and filter on this car months prior, and when I checked the oil level at that time using the dipstick, it was not over the "Full" mark.

In closing, this experience validates the concern that many auto owners have when turning their (expensive) vehicles over to strangers who may not have been given basic training. For me, I will continue changing my own oil during the summer months. If I have it done at a shop, I will ask how much oil they put in, look to see if the filter looks new, and check the level immediately upon leaving. Obviously, this Firestone facility needs to check their equipment and require that their techs check their work.

After the service was done I looked under my vehicle and saw the oil filter had not been changed. My bill indicated that a complete oil change had been done. I returned and spoke with the manager about my findings, he had another technician change my oil and filter. Fast forward to my next brake change which this time I went to my local Ford dealership. The service manager informed me that their mechanic found that the front brake pads had been installed improperly.

I later contacted the Maple Shade Firestone Manager and advised him when they did the brake job on my vehicle the front pads were improperly installed. The manager actually questioned the findings of the mechanic at the Ford dealership stating "How do I know he found the front pads had been installed improperly". I then contacted Firestone corporate headquarters who took my complaint and advised me the Regional Manager would contact me. To this date, I was NEVER contacted.

They informed me I would have to pay $24.99 for a battery check and I said OK. I received a call telling me that the battery needed to be replaced and it would cost me $186.59. I told them not to replace the battery and found a local battery company would replace it for $90.00.

When I took my car to the battery company they checked it and found it did not have to be replaced but that the battery cables were loose and tighten them, with no charge. I contacted Firestone complaining about the false report about my battery and was told I would be contacted by management to address my complaint. I have kept the paperwork to prove the charge and report. After 3 more contacts from me to Firestone, I was never contacted by Firestone and that is why I'm making this review. This is sad since I have done years of business with this store and not had issues. I will not return to this store or Firestone again.

So... on 5/17/2018 #Firestone in Evansville caused $3000 worth of damage to a vehicle. Not only did they damage it, they lied about putting new parts on, and used parts from a junkyard. Charged $691 dollars with a veterans discount, for $150 worth of new parts, $75 from a salvage yard. They had the vehicle for ten days and still never fixed it. Right front caliper seized up, they were contracted to fix it. They changed out the parts there, with salvage parts then changed out the left front (nothing wrong with it) then changed the master cylinder, still couldn't get the front brakes to bleed. And were in process of finding an ABS pump to change it.

I never authorized anything other than the right front to be fixed. They put two new rubber hoses on the wrong sides, installed the calipers on the wrong sides, bent the metal lines out of shape to make the rubber hoses work, got brake fluid on the paint (now it's peeling). I had to drive up there and show them the abs pump was good, then had to drive back up there to trailer the vehicle home. They gave me a claim number, sent a guy to look, asked for a quote for repair, and now say they will only give me $1800 to fix my car... Avoid anything Firestone! Don't spend money with this company. Bridgestone Firestone could have killed me and my family with these repairs. And now won't even make it right!

The next day the original associate that ordered the tires for me calls and asks why I didn’t come in for my tires so I told her what the second associate told me, which she said his information was inaccurate and that he must have been new. I rescheduled again for the original tires and when I go in am told that the price I was originally quoted was not accurate so I declined the alignment I had in addition to the tires.

The final associate that handled my work order told me that since I had had so many issues he would include the alignment at no cost and the price would be what I was originally quoted, which I thought was great... then I got the bill and it was over $100 what I was told. I took my car to this shop because I was under the impression that they were a complete auto shop (which is advertised on the sign above the building.) and whatever was wrong with my car they could pinpoint and correct. After they diagnosed the car with camshaft issues we set an appointment for the next day. $700 worth or labor and parts which I was ok paying turns into "I think we fixed it". The tech took my car out for a test drive. He comes back and says it's still shutting off so maybe it's something else. He "fixes" what he thinks is wrong and tests drives my car again. After some time away from the store with my car he calls and says "your car has broken down on the highway, your transmission is shot".

Never once did I get any receipts of what work was done nor could I get clear answers as to what actually happened. The store manager closed out the ticket and refunded the money that was paid to them only to find out I'm in the hole for over $2500 for a new transmission. I filed a claim to see what went wrong and how Firestone/Bridgestone could rectify this unfortunate event which lead to the "we are not responsible" conversation.

I've never had any major issues with this car ever! Toyota holds value in its name. I'm definitely going to fight this because I know something is not adding up, not to mention when I went into Firestone the week previous to this for a state inspection my car was in great working condition and the guys there I feel tried to talk me into letting them do work on my car such as an oil change. As soon as I set off from the garage, after I was called to pick up my car after the technician claimed they had completed the work, my car engine began to fail at the first stop I made within less than a minute from the garage. I tried several times before finally getting the engine to start again and returned the car immediately to the garage and after a diagnostic test, I was told it was an engine failure. This is when things went awry! Firestone denied responsibility (not surprising based on their reputation) and went on to claim the engine failure was due to the millage on my car!

My car is a 2003 Honda Accord with ~170k miles and never broke down for even a single day during all the 7 years I've owned this car. Upon further evaluation by a Honda specialist, this independent specialist said he found nothing with my car that would have suggested improper maintenance that could have led to this engine failure. He therefore hypothesized that Firestone either failed to refill my oil tank after draining the oil or failed to close the oil drain after servicing. Yet, Firestone is still so undignified and very disrespectful with their response. In March 2011 Firestone replaced the original muffler on my 1996 Camry. In Feb 2015 Firestone again replaced the muffler. In March 2018 Firestone again replaced the muffler. I understand that some after-market parts probably will not last as long as an OEM part. However, the last two muffler replacements done by Firestone lasted only a total of 7 years and 39K miles. The most recent one lasted only 3 years and 15K miles. The original muffler lasted 15 years and 162K miles. This, to me, is unacceptable. It points to Firestone using low-quality parts but charging high-quality prices.

How do I know this? My local Firestone shops in Monroeville, PA get their parts from Advance Auto. The muffler just installed, which I was charged $372 for, is available from Advance for $132 (after a 30% discount which I was offered online). If I can get it for this price I know Firestone is paying even less. So, we're talking about a markup of between 300-400%! For about $60 more than what Firestone charged I could have taken it to Toyota and had a muffler which probably would have outlived the car.

I also understand the concept of markup on parts and I accept it. However, in this case, I believe Firestone went too far. I contacted Firestone numerous times between 3/4/18 and 4/6/18. On or about 3/21, I was finally contacted by phone by a regional manager but ended up in a game of phone tag over the course of a few days so I asked that he email me, which he did. They sent me home in an unsafe vehicle because of lug bolts they stripped and did not install. They charge me for lifetime tire rotation when they installed my tires 4 months ago and now my car is messed up! I brought my car in for a tire rotation. They mixed up the lug bolts the front and rear were different lengths. They attempted to install the rear lugs on the front which stripped the lugs and possibly the front hubs! The front right wheel was missing a lug bolt and was wobbling when I drove. The rear of my car now has shorter lug bolts meaning that they can't be fully threaded in.

No offer to even replace the damaged thread stripped lug bolt they handed me when I picked up my car. Now I have to have my car towed to the dealer so they can repair it. If you are missing a lug, it is important to have it replaced as soon as possible. It is potentially dangerous to drive around with a missing lug because of the extra pressure exerted on the wheel. This pressure can damage the wheel bearings, studs, and cause other lug to fall off. These problems can lead to a wheel falling off.

Took my Acura on 12.31.17 for a transmission flush. Charged 190. 3 months later fluid is dark and dirty. Local Honda service says needs replacing again. Firestone is refunding my money which indicates the service was never done.

On March 23rd my daughter was buying a car from a man in Topeka, Kansas. She asked him to get a diagnostics before she bought the car and make sure they check transmission and engine, because she previously bought a car and the transmission went bad the guy did as he was asked and they advised him the transmission was good. So my daughter paid $1780.00 for this car. She is a struggling college student.

Once the car was brought home she know she had some work to do which she was good with that but turns out we have 2600 worth of transmission work that has to be done. And this would be on Firestone because we called them to see how they missed this, Firestone advised us they don't really check the transmission other than the fluids but when you ask, "Did you check transmission" they can say yes because they checked the fluids. That not right and that shady practices and caused my daughter a great debt and I'm going to fight it. I'm calling the news station to see if they can help her.

Took my car for service. Have lifetime alignment and rotate/balance. Made appointment for oil change, tire rotation and balance. Got the car back next morning. Notice I did not get my tires rotated and most likely balance after I paid for that service. I didn't have time to go back as I work long hours. Couple weeks later on my way home I got stranded on the highway. Vehicle TURN OFF and had a hard time cracking. Call a friend to tow my car home. Notice it did not have oil.

Call Firestone and had the car tow. After waiting for couple hours they finally bring my car in and they found the oil filter loose. The technician quickly call someone over and look mad then takes something from under the vehicle engine and throws it out then I get call and they tell me that someone loosen my oil filter. I ask and stated that was impossible being that my vehicle is low to the ground and they even had to push the car up to set the car on the lift legs. Anyway they did nothing but to tear my engine in pieces and stuff it in the trunk and back seat oiling the inside of my vehicle. Thanks Firestone for destroying my vehicle.

Took my truck and to have Firestone diagnose a misfire. 2 days later they gave me back my truck and said it was in the head or in the motor but it was a mechanical issue. I replaced my motor $6700. Later I find out it was a $40 part that Firestone could not diagnosis. When I contacted the manager of the store in question I was told, "Maybe you should have taken it to the Dealer". Now I'm out $6700 for a motor I did not need. Do not trust Firestone with your vehicle.

I will never purchase a Firestone tire again. I had 4 brand new tires put on 2 months, I told the woman at the location I wanted insurance of them, she said they had them. I also told her to put my new phone number so they could find my account and she failed to do that as well. A month later I was driving and managed to get a drill bit in my tire, I took it to Firestone to find out I couldn't be found in the system so no warranty but they would add them. Here I am a month after that and I had a flat so I brought it in to find out again they weren't insured and I had to buy another 187 tire. I wouldn't complain if I had these tires longer then 2 months. 2 months 6 tires I had them put the spare tire on and I left. It's all a money scam, poor quality tires that don't withhold to anything. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

I went in yesterday to get brakes serviced. They inspected my car, they came back with recommendations that added up to $1700. I had just gotten my car checked by Nissan a couple months ago and I had just gotten my tires aligned last week. They recommended everything under the sun. They tried to talk me into a credit card. They gave me my keys back and my car would not start. They had to jump start my car. I had no issues starting it until they gave me my keys back. They are incompetent and they think their customers are stupid. Don’t be stupid. Go somewhere else. These people do not know what they are doing. Do not trust them. I will never go back here again.

I took my car to the Mayfair road location in Hattiesburg MS to get all four tires replaced and lifetime alignment. After leaving I noticed there was a vibration in the steering wheel and seats. I contacted them to see why it was doing this and they said it was probably due to a weight falling off a rim after they balanced it but could not fix it that day because they were booked up and probably wouldn't be able to squeeze me in before closing time. I had to go out of state anyway, and I asked if it would be okay to drive with it vibrating. They said yes.

I called them back today to see if I could bring it in so that they could fix it and again, booked up on top of being shorthanded. So I called around at the other two Firestone locations in the tri-county area and found one that was able to have a look at it in Laurel MS. They said the reason why it was vibrating so much was because my rim is warped and it was placed on the front of the car during the tire replacement and I just didn't notice it because it was probably on the rear of the car, originally. They put this warped rim on the rear and said "barely" vibrated. Well turns out the vibration is indeed less than it was before I brought it up there, but IT'S STILL THERE!

My car didn't vibrate AT ALL prior to getting my tires replaced, and this was with tires that were due for replacing!!! I checked my dashcam and unfortunately I didn't have footage from the tire replacement because after my trip out of state, the old data on the sd card was recorded over, which included that tire replacement appointment. However, audio recording was turned off. I did NOT do this. And I did happen to see footage of today's technician speeding 77 mph in a 60 zone, going from 0 to 60 at an excessive rate. Driving recklessly! I've got it saved on my computer for documentation, if necessary. I've learned my lesson. I'll just suck up the extra cost of taking my car to the dealership from now on, because I've NEVER had an issue with the dealer thus far. BEWARE guys, taking your car to places like this has a risk of major damage being done to your car. A replacement rim is $800. After I just spent $1k on tires and alignment. What a joke.

Have had a bad experience with your manager at Fremont Mowry station in California. He has been very rude and does not comply with customer service ethics what we are used to it in the U.S. Firestone needs to put people in charge who value customers not to argue with them. I got an appointment with him to get me in and out but not to keep me waiting for an oil change. He said he want to inspect the car and I said if it is taking that long he did not have to do it, but as I was about to leave I asked Ruben the mechanic to take a look at the car. While the manager came back from his trip I was still there and he became angry with me and the employee why I did not ask for inspection and it was not right that I asked. Very rude and unbelievable. This is not the way people do business here. It was my first visit and it will be the last one. I would encourage people do business elsewhere. His name is Chris **, today is Tuesday March 6th 2018.

I took my car (Kia Sonoma 2002) to Firestone 5 times. Paid $1100 and still don't run right. It stalls. Cuts out right on traffic. Talked to the manager. Didn't help. Every time I take it back they say it's fixed and it's now waiting for regional manager to call me for 4 days now. I live in Cincinnati Ohio 45211.
