I am a frequent patron of my local Firestone for alignment of vehicles. I recently brought my vehicle in and they were unable to align it due to issues on my vehicle. Joseph was helping me at the counter and was very patient while trying to explain why it couldn't be aligned at that time. I was not very nice to him (I realized in hindsight) but he continued to keep his calm and patience with me. Everything he had told me was spot on accurate and he was very professional.

I had an oil change done here on June 18th for my 2022 Volkswagen Taos. At the time, everything seemed fine — no leaks, no warning lights, no issues. Not long after, I got an oil level warning on my dashboard. When I brought the car back, I was told the leak was coming from the drain plug and that it was just “wear and tear.” That explanation didn’t make sense to me, because a proper oil change should include checking the drain plug and washer — and if there was any damage, it should’ve been noted or discussed before finishing the job. Instead, they charged me $24.85 to supposedly fix the leak.

Later, I took my car to the VW dealership and was told the leak was still there. I reached back out to Firestone asking them to take accountability and refund the $24.85 I paid — but they’ve ignored my messages and even ignored outreach from the BBB. Just a heads-up for anyone considering service here: pay close attention, ask questions, and double-check their work.

Don't go to this place if you don't want to be scammed! Asked for a quote to fix my passenger window and was very specific that the problem was the window regulator. They told that they'll have to see the car. I brought the car already with the door panel opened, showed that the motor was working but the clips that hold the glass broke but they insisted to just give me a quote without drop the car. Two hours later they called me with a quote of $480 to fix it. I rejected and to get the car had to pay $113 for "inspection". The plastic clip broke was even at the exactly same place that I saw inside the door before, they didn't touched the car... The so called "inspection" costed more than the whole window system (not just the clips). Unfortunately that's how those place make their money, but hopefully this information helps others to not be scammed!

FS Branford CT. My son hit a curb damaging his straight and tire rod, he attempted to drive it to Firestone right after a storm. He had called me worried that his car was all over the road and I begged him to turn back around and go home for his safety. Meanwhile, he was in contact with Jeremy from Firestone, who advised him to stay put and have his car towed to Firestone in which he did. That very next morning the car was evaluated as my son damaged his tire rod. I can’t express my gratitude and appreciation for this employee advising my son to do the right thing and the most safe thing as much worse could’ve happened had he attempted to make a 25 minute trip. This prompted me right away to open up a Firestone credit card and I was approved immediately so that his car could be fixed and he could resume working.

Jeremy went above and beyond and could’ve saved and did save my son from something happening. That could’ve been much worse. A car can be fixed a life can’t be replaced. My son‘s car was fixed the very next day and my son has peace of mind and learned a lesson to be more cautious of those curbs. The service was exceptional and it gave a Mom much peace in her heart to know that her son was in safe hands safety first, lectures later! I want to thank everybody at this location. Jeremy especially along with the mechanics for quickly working on my son‘s car that is running perfectly fine now And I highly encourage parents out there to Please appreciate the dedication these mechanics have, especially Jeremy who acted promptly for the safety of my son.

Open up that Firestone credit card as I did and I highly encourage anybody with those great experiences with this location to always five star them 10 star them because this was done very quickly. The car was test driven for my son’s safety before he received it back in his possession. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart you made mine so much more peaceful.

I scheduled an appointment for an inspection and an oil change and dropped my vehicle off at 11:00 a.m. At 5:30 p.m., just before closing, I called to ask about the status of my vehicle and was informed for the first time that no work had been done because “there were a lot of cars.” If the appointment could not be honored, I should have been notified earlier so I could make other arrangements. Instead, I lost an entire day and incurred multiple Uber expenses unnecessarily. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I noticed it had been moved, even though no services were performed. No explanation was provided. After I got home, I discovered the store’s cordless phone on the floor of my car.

I later noticed that my retractable rear cargo cover was missing, and I am now concerned that other items may also be missing. This experience raises serious concerns about scheduling practices, communication, and vehicle security while cars are in the shop’s possession. This occurred at 2565 Crain Hwy, Waldorf, MD 20601. I was there on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m.

The Firestone Credit card is very confusing and difficult to use. The way they first credit your purchases into points and then gradually and incrementally into rewards (1,000 points = 10 rewards) causes significant delays in actually receiving a reward on your monthly statement. Then, the rewards expire. And, they seem to toy with the actual rewards, making it difficult to apply the rewards against your balance. This card is much more trouble than it is worth. Stay away!

I only gave a one because there is no option for 0.. I have used them for a LONG time. Since I bought my car in 2011 and mostly used a particular location with no issues. But when I moved I started using the one on Airport Road in Huntville. I had a service about 6 months ago. I had an oil leak. They replaced the oil pan, gasket and filter. I had to put a start switch on by a different mechanic. He works on all our big trucks here at the office and in the process found a massive oil leak. I only had 1/2 quart of oil in my car, there was oil all over the place, even the filter and several missing bolts. So I took it back to Firestone and they told me the bolts were NOT necessary and the leak was not from the pan or the gasket. It was a different leak somewhere else. Even tho the only oil I could see was at the oil pan, filter and drain plug... I told the mechanic I did not believe him and he plainly stated he does not care what I have to say about it. He is the mechanic...

They were so RUDE about it, dismissed my complaints and because I disputed their word refused to fix the problem and gave me a refund for the work they did on the oil pan. I feel they think because I am a woman I would just go with whatever they say but my Dad taught me better than that. I was grossly mistreated and talked down to and now have to go somewhere else to fix what they refused to do. They also upsell by telling you need things when you really do not. One of my reports said the free battery check was fine, but then right below that was a charge for another battery check that said it should be replaced. When they relaced the altenator I specifically stated no remanufactured part, they put one on anyway and the only reason I knew it was remanufactured was the mechanic slipped up and told me after the 3rd visit. It says plainly on the reciept all parts are new unless otherwise specified. It was not.

I then proceeded to go back two more time until they fixed it. I took my car to two different mechanics who said there should NOT be missing bolts and the pan and gasket was leaking where they did the work. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I DON'T ADVISE ANYONE TO USE THEM. They try to upsell you on everything and are dishonest and rude.

I bought four new tires at the start of the summer and returned months later for my free rotation having scheduled an appointment that I would be waiting for on a Saturday morning. When I arrived I was told, however, that because of the big sale, it would take much longer and could I drop it off instead and could I take my car off the lot and park it on the street. (so she was telling me to clear off to make room for the important customers). Not willing to wait for any more figurative slaps to the face, and realizing I could not easily make different arrangements, I left.

Later I tried to address the matter online with corporate but got a run around with different people for quite a while. I would like a refund for the money I now will have to spend on rotations, since I do not feel comfortable entrusting my car or my wife's car with them any longer. At the very least, I do now want to endure that unnecessary mistreatment and unprofessionalism at the Carlisle location on Hanover Street.

She managed to put the spare tire on and went to Firestone at 164 Federal Hwy. in Brookfield Conn. They told her that she needed all new tires and recommended an alignment. She conference called me when trying to make the decision. I agreed with this and approved them to move forward at the tune of $700. Upon leaving Firestone when the work was completed, two of the tire sensors were not working. Error code in the car dash. She noticed this when she got back to school. She made an appointment to have this looked at and they said it would cost $213 to fix the two sensors. Again she conference called me and I said no to the repair. Upon leaving this time now all four sensors were not working.

I called the store manager and tried to have a reasonable conversation but **, store manager, just kept saying that the batteries died in them. Very coincidental. I then called headquarters and was told the area manager would return my call in two business days. That didn't happen. I called again and was told the regional manager, Christopher, would call me in two business days. That also never happened. So here I am. I guess that they are hoping I will just go away. When I make it to the appointment, the lady did look in to the computer and stated she can't do the diagnostic because they don't have the computer to do so. She then walked out into the shop and talk to a guy that was sitting down and she came back and told me the diagnostic has to be done by a dealership and recommend to pay to get my truck tow. They was sitting down like they really didn't want to be bothered or do any work. I didn't bother to fuss about anything because I was already worrying about getting my truck fixed.

On December 3rd I had a unpleasant aggressive encounter that could have turned bad for either party. I came into the establishment. I entered the garage door after the employee who the manager identified as Jose gave me a head nod after I gave him a thumbs up to drive in. He then signals me with his hand to keep driving forward. He then signals me to stop ✋️ and come to my window. I ask him about a specific service then he told me to give him one second. Then the manager who identified himself as Yonis (if that's really his name) then stormed in screaming and yelling at me falsely accused me of forcing my way in after "Jose" told me to stop. He accused me of messing up the garage unknowing that I have a dash camera recording everything.

It wasn't until he saw the footage of from my dash cam that he realized the employee Jose lied HE CHANGED HIS TONE REAL QUICK and he gave a fake apology. Also after he saw the dash cam footage of Jose NEVER TELLING ME TO STOP, he claimed Jose doesn't speak English which I find to be a problem. I'm calling corporate.

I don't understand why you would lie and say I forced my way in after you repeatedly said stop and the dash cam shows the exact opposite, you never telling me to stop. The way the manager Yonis came at me aggressively because of a bold face lie that the employee Jose told, that the dash cam debunked could have turned into a really bad situation if I chose to take it to that level due to Yonis approaching me aggressively and that needs to be addressed asap. Also when I called back to get their name the manager ignored my call and answered after I called from another number. I will make sure this gets handled I have no problem making certain phone calls to make sure everyone in the garage is legal...

I have had lifetime alignment with Firestone for years several different cars. As I wait for my vehicle to be aligned, I noticed that everybody needs something else done to their vehicle other than what they originally brought it in there for it’s happened to me several times. So today I brought my vehicle in for an alignment and tire rotation only because I had extra time and it hasn’t been done in a while. It really didn’t need it at all. So they pulled the car and started to do the alignment and then came out a little while later and said they couldn’t do it because the bolt on the tie rod was frozen and they couldn’t get it off or turned to do the alignment.

So they said I should spend $700 to have new tire rods put in and I asked him if the vehicle was the same way after they had it for an hour as when I brought it in their original originally and he told me yes. So basically he said I drove it in there with the vehicle out of alignment. So I told him I’d make another appointment and I left. So when I got in my truck, the steering wheel was way out of center and there was no way I was driving like that prior to me going to the Firestone. So I as I was leaving I went right to ETD and I got an appointment for a wheel Alignment. Hour and a half later they called me. My vehicle is done.

I walked over there and I asked her if they had any issues doing a wheel alignment. The gentleman went back talk to the guy that actually did the alignment. The salesman came back to me and said no they had no issues at all. So the bottom line is a Firestone actually lied to me and wanted to get an extra $700 for doing absolutely nothing and who knows if there are even gonna change the tire rods. So that’s the last time I’ll ever go into a fire stone and I’m sure this is a common practice for them so beware.

I went to Firestone in Tukwila. I went because my car was making loud noises. I asked for a diagnosis and they said they found what it was and they fixed it. They didn't do either one and yet I was charged about $1,200 when it was all said and done. They sold me things that I didn't need and they did not fix the problem I came in for. The professionals here didn't realize or didn't inform me that $253,000 MI on my Kia Sportage was too many miles to fix whatever the problem was because the cost to fix it is more than the car is worth in that condition. When I wrote a review on Google, they responded and said someone would reach out to address it. A person did call but I did not get the voicemail so I did not realize they called. I called back three times with no response. When I emailed the original complaint department, they said they would escalate it and I finally got the person to respond in email.

They said although they disagree about my complaints, they would refund the original amount charged if I signed a release that includes the fact that I can't even talk about it anywhere. Also, they have damaged my credit and said that they're not responsible to inform the credit bureau of the status or cover the late charges. I did not pay because to pay would indicate that I will pay it. I don't even have the car anymore because it stopped working and I had to trade it in. I'm so irritated about this whole thing and I would strongly suggest that no one go to this Firestone for any reason.

You may find yourself in a similar situation where they sell you things you don't need, fix things that don't fix your presenting problem and overcharge you for all of that. And I didn't even get a receipt. Just a list of things they did and things they suggest. No prices and nothing to indicate that they charged my Firestone credit card. When I tried to get onto the Firestone credit card, it won't let me. My information isn't even on the regular Firestone app. So frustrating!

UPDATED ON 11/5/2025: This review is an update. After reviewing the receipt we see the codes that were read and the service allegedly done to the vehicle exceeds what the codes read and the GM diagnostic procedures were not followed. We feel that most of the parts and labor charged for, were not even necessary! Wow. It gets worse and worse.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: DO NOT go to Firestone Complete Auto Care on 1st Ave, 4401 1st Avenue, Evansville, Indiana. This location is a joke. Took Sister's car in for code reading of a bad o2 sensor and engine light on. To start they told her she needed spark plugs, etc. until she told them she didn't care about that, but instead brought it in for a bad o2 sensor code. She had to give them the diagnosis. After a week, they replaced the o2 sensor, engine knock sensor, mass air flow sensor, etc. Bill resulting in over $1200. Within 24 hrs the engine light came on again. Returned car to be fixed. Few days later was told car was ready but needed to be picked up within the next hour before store manager Nick was leaving for vacation. Arrived after work, and after got a ride to the shop and she was denied picking up the car because was told she owed an additional approx $197 for labor and that one of the parts they had installed was bad.

Yesterday, Brian, the fill in manager, told us that they had to eat the cost of the part but was charging her for labor and gave printout of money owed, showing it was for a sensor. what??? I thought it was for labor? Questions re their triple promise guarantee and warranty was ignored and they refused to answer why this didn't fall into that. Other Firestone location in town confirmed this would be covered and no additional cost for repairs or labor would be client's responsibility. For 6 days her car was held, until Nick returned to work today from vacation. When we went in, the amount owed kept changing. $197, $136, $300 something. Nick even went so far to say that when it came back the other sensor was reading bad and they had to replace it and he was just charging her for the labor. But the original receipt shows that sister paid for both sensors the first round. Didn't catch this when speaking to Nick this morning.

I questioned Nick as to whether they were requesting payment for labor or parts and he said labor and that he didn't charge her for the new sensor that was replaced this time. What??? Again that sensor was already purchased week before and kept being told it was for labor, which should be covered under their warranty guarantee. After a week, 3 visits to the shop, a police officer coming, a formal demand letter given to Nick who refused to read it or take it, we finally got her keys turned over and car returned and zero balance.

This is unacceptable and a complaint has already been filed with the State Attorney General. She was never compensated for loss of use of her vehicle for a week, as well as, no reimbursement for the upcharges she already paid (invoice for warranty info shows 266% upcharge on the one sensor), and her inconvenience and stress incurred because of all of this. I am certain they took advantage of her lower income and clear gender bias. Do NOT shop here for anything! They will lie to you, hold you vehicle hostage until you call them out on their lies and very shady consumer practices. WOW! Brian - the manager while Nick was on vacation - was extremely rude.

To top it off today, Nick, the manager, suggested a week later, that he could just put the old and bad sensor back in and they would just take their sensor back. Ok! you keep old parts that long, and you know which one goes back in her car, and then you will reimburse us for the part and labor AND you think you will EVER touch her car again.....yeah, don't think so. Always check BBB before things like this - they have a F rating with BBB. Clearly she is not the first one to be screwed over, and likely not the last.

I visited Firestone Complete Auto Care in Douglasville, Georgia, on October 31, 2025, with my 2007 Dodge Charger SRT8 for a brake inspection, parking brake adjustment or repair, and tire pressure monitoring system reset or replacement. These requested services were not performed; instead, I was informed that my vehicle needed new brake pads, rotors, brake fluid flush, washer fluid, and engine air, cabin, and fuel filter replacements. On November 1, 2025, I was notified that my vehicle was ready and given a quote of $1,348.66, which matched the initial estimate provided by the service manager.

Before payment, I requested a visual inspection of my vehicle and found that the original repairs were incomplete, including the replacement of engine air and fuel filters. After discussing this with the service technician, the charges for these items were removed. However, the final price remained the same as previously quoted, even though the work order still listed the engine and fuel filters. Due to inconsistencies between the service performed and the charges, I request that Firestone Complete Corporate Headquarters and the Motorist Assurance Program review the practices at the Douglasville location to ensure compliance with industry standards.

I was out of town and after parking my car in a parking garage, I came out to two rear tires that were completely flat. Although I'm older now (almost 60 years old), I am female and was downtown Cleveland. The weather was awful and I had to have my car towed to a Cadillac dealership and the tow truck driver was very nice and filled my tires up enough to go to Firestone to purchase tires so that I could get to a nearby tire center.

I chose Firestone because Lee was extremely patient with me and was very pleasant and helpful. He said that they would do their best to get the tires on today. It was after 1 p.m. on a Sunday and they were supposed to close at 5 p.m. My friend who picked me up didn't want to wait and told them that we would come back tomorrow but Lee called me around 4:30 p.m. and told me that the car was done and that I could come pick it up and that they would wait until I got their (being almost an hour away). Lee was extremely helpful and informative about the warranties that I got with my tire purchase and was happy to get my car back today (didn't expect to). Thank you Firestone North Olmsted for making my bad day a lot better!!!

In a nutshell...I took my son's truck to Firestone on July 21st, 2025 and handed them the keys. I was in constant contact with them regarding the alignment that needed done. On July 30th, there was a fire at Firestone. My son's truck was not in the fire but I was told we could not move it until the arson report came back. I was in constant contact with the regional manager and the insurance adjuster. On Aug. 22nd, we received a copy of the arson report and was told they will not cover any of the cost of damages to anyone's property and to contact our own insurance. They told me we could pick the truck up at any time.

We had a relative go look at the truck and he came back and said the truck was not there. I tried to contact Firestone, the regional manager, and the insurance adjuster but no response for over a week and a half. I finally received a response through email and was told my son's truck was never there. I have all the work orders, emails, and pictures that proves the truck was there. We filed a police report for stolen vehicle and it was found late the next evening, destroyed by thieves. The thieves had the truck for at least 3 weeks and we didn't know it because Firestone did not tell us it was gone and they did not secure it. Firestone still has the keys to the truck and is taking NO responsibility!

My son does not have a vehicle to get to work because of Firestone! All the truck needed was an alignment when we dropped it off with Firestone, now it needs thousands of dollars worth of repairs. I've contacted Firestone through email and only receiving canned responses from them. I'm taking legal action. They need to be held accountable for their negligence! The amount of stress this has caused has caused me medical problems and my son a lot of heartache. I'm attaching some photos. I have many more from before and after Firestone allowed the truck to be stolen. Sadly, the people who had vehicles in the fire are dealing with their own nightmare because of Firestone. What kind of company treats their customers this way?!

Unfortunately, I have not been able to redeem the points for services I received at Firestone on May 1, 2025. I’ve called several times, told the same story every time… it takes 2 billing cycles. Customer service even manually entered the points, and I still have not received any rewards.

I called Firestone complaint customer care today (October 1, 2025), spoke to a representative (Martin). He informed me that my case could seek further assistance, but I had to first contact the rewards program itself. So, I was transferred over to the program spoke to Ashley… She informed me the program does not cover every situation. Therefore, I called Firestone complaint customer care once again, spoke to another representative with a foreign accent… transferred me to the rewards program again without any feedback… Ashley answered, asked for my name again… I told her I was transferred to her department again unknowingly.

In this day and time every little bit helps. I am a retired senior citizen, and I rely on points and discounts to assist my household income. However, I feel used and neglected regarding CFNA Firestone rewards program. Why offer the program if it’s not going to be assessable for my use as described. Sometimes it’s not the amount, it’s the principle and integrity.

I dropped my car to Firestone Complete Auto Care on Hoagie Drive in Bel Air, MD on May 3rd, 2025, for AC service. They had the car for several days and charged me over $600. They said the AC was fixed but when I picked the car up, it was still not working. I called them and after further evaluation, they said it needed a core evaporator and it would be $1140 more. I authorized them to continue the work. They held onto my car for over two weeks, even though they said it would only be a few days.

First, they blamed it on mechanics calling out sick and then blamed it on not being able to get the parts in a timely manner. They finally called to say it was complete, but it wasn't working when I picked it up again. Then they blamed it on a blender box and had the car for another few days, and that did not solve the problem.

Afterwards, they said they would need a new cable for the box, which did not work either. So now it's been almost three months, and they just gave me the car back and said they cannot fix it and would refund my money. For some reason, they only refunded $924 of the over $1700 spent. I took it to a different mechanic, and they said Firestone butchered it so bad that they ruined the car heater also, and that it would be $3600 to fix everything, including their screw-ups. Called Firestone corporate to see what they would do and I keep getting blown off by them with no callbacks to me, even though they promised they would within 2 business days. Sorry for the long-winded rant but just wanted to say to never, ever use Firestone if you can help it. From the local store to the corporate office has all been a major disappointment. I've never had anywhere close to such poor customer service in my life. Still waiting on that corporate phone call.

Went in to get my car alignment. They followed up to tell me that I had a damaged tire that had a screw in it and a recommendation to replace two older tires. So I had bought two new tires a few months back and they said one of them had a screw in it. I went to see and verify the damaged new tire. Anyway, technicians showed me the location. I inspected and actually pulled out the screw that was between the treads. It was a small 1/4 inch screw. I just pulled it out. Never punctured the tire. So I was scratching my head. The two older tires that they recommended still had tread life left. My take away: trying to hustle to get extra business. Was the screw intentionally put in there. I tend to think so since I was able to pull it out with my fingers. The older tires are in that grey area whether they should be replaced. Good tread life but drying on the sides.

I'll start this review with some good news. This Firestone location (11500 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20902) is always busy, so clearly it has its base of supporters and regular customers. It is also a decent place for a relatively conventional inexpensive oil change, thus the second star. While this location doesn't get credit for it, Firestone's website, app and email system - which sends you the quotes and follow-ups in real time along with actual photos of the part in question, is convenient and well done. Now, for the negative. This simply is NOT the place to take your car for anything other than an oil change. I typically don't do "chain" auto service centers and have another nearby mechanic but - given that he closes up shop early each day - I decided to entrust Firestone for a front brake job (along with an oil change), which is surveyed though their $9.99 "inspection" to surmise the issue.

Now, imagine taking your car in for front brake pads - even with the knowledge that rotors may well be needed - and receiving a quote for an astounding $4,000 for a myriad of allegedly "required" repairs. It's an incredibly bad look, and it does little to separate Firestone from service departments at dealerships, which are notorious for inflated prices and exaggerated repair quotes. THIS is the reason consumers, especially in today's financial climate, avoid dealerships for service in the first place - to find a trusted, reasonably-priced mechanic that doesn't overload estimates or include a litany of other items in with a brake quote. While the majority of the $4K quote had little to do with the front brakes, they craftily intertwined "must do" items INTO the brake repair, like a $200 brake fluid flush along with a REAR brake job, complete with new rotors and shoes.

It wasn't until I called to discuss the ridiculous quote that the service technician backpedaled on how dire the quote made the repairs sound. I was then told they could "work with me" on the price. What does that even mean? Services are services and prices are prices. Why is there even wiggle room to negotiate repair pricing? Because they quote stratospheric prices in the hopes you'll hand them a blank check and, if you balk, they then work backwards in price - that's why. After trying to remove services from the quote and have them repair the front brakes only, the total was still well over $700. That is simply an outrageous charge for front brakes on a 2020 Dodge Charger, and it comes with the nervousness of driving around wondering if I am neglecting issues with the vehicle, given the overblown original quote.

So I passed on the work altogether and agreed to pay for the $9.99 inspection, asking them to pull my car down out of the bay ASAP so that I could make it to another local repair shop with sensible pricing. Not only did it take them an additional hour to pull the car out, but I was shocked when arriving to find that they performed the oil change, which I didn't authorize when explicitly telling them I wasn't getting the work done there. $73 later, I had my car back and three hours missing out of my life. Do yourself a favor and find one of the many, privately-owned shops around this area. There is a different level of integrity and honesty, and far less salesmanship, when the guy who owns a small shop is also the one doing the work.

On August 10, 2025, Firestone replaced the belt on my 2006 Honda CR-V at a Florida location. Less than 30 days later, the new belt shredded. When I brought the vehicle back on September 11, the shop admitted that the pulley was dented — damage that does not occur under normal driving conditions and, in my view, was caused during Firestone’s service. Instead of replacing the pulley, they attempted to bend it back, which is not a safe or professional solution. Because this issue involved safety and a potentially costly repair (the pulley is pressed onto the power steering pump shaft), I opened a case with Firestone corporate on September 12. I was promised multiple callbacks from management and even told a regional manager would reach out to me. As of September 26, I have not received a single call. I also filed a BBB complaint, but Firestone corporate refuses to resolve issues through BBB.

This is no longer just about a single shop’s mistake. This is a corporate failure to take responsibility for damage caused during their service, and a failure to respond to a safety-related case after weeks of promises. I am disgusted in Firestone’s lack of accountability and concern for customer safety. If corporate cannot be trusted to address a clear and documented service error, I will not recommend this company to anyone.

    - Your car will start having problems, and/or making weird noises that weren’t there before.

    - If you voice a concern about something problematic that they did you will receive a response that’s condescending and just outright rude (from the manager).

-The employees aren’t the issue as much as it is the manager **. Yesterday there was a minor miscommunication about the pricing to have my car fix (he will tell you it’s this price and then increase it) and I was met with such hostility. His entire body language exemplified belligerent behavior (head shaking, eyes wide open, swaying arms). No decent human being should conduct themselves in such a manner, let alone a manger. To de-escalate a situation in which I felt threatened (him slamming the window, running closer to where I was standing seemed so deranged) and uncomfortable so I paid the price that I never agreed to when I gave my consent.

One of the employees gave me a discount and apologized for what happened, but not the manager. He said and I quote, “I don’t make mistakes”. He even implied I was a liar. I left there feeling uneasy. I contacted corporate, something I’ve never done before. If you’re looking for a great mechanic place to take your car, go to Florida auto Repair. On March 23, 2024, my daughter had our vehicle towed to your 3220 Wrightsboro Rd, Augusta, GA location while I was out of town caring for my terminally ill mother. A technician diagnosed radiator and transmission issues, estimated 3–4 days for repairs, and I approved the work. Shockingly, the car was marked ready the very next day.

In July 2025, during a dealership oil change and inspection, we learned the Firestone repair had been done so poorly that the technician stated, “I’m glad your daughter is safe—this car could’ve blown up at any time.” They refused to release the car in that condition, forcing us to pay out-of-pocket for the entire repair again. The dealership returned the faulty radiator and provided documentation proving the poor workmanship and low-quality materials used.

I called Firestone’s 800# on July 22, 2025 to file a complaint. I was told Area Manager Jonathan would contact me within two business days but never did. On July 24, I was informed he claimed, “It’s not her car,” despite the vehicle being titled in my name. I made multiple follow-up calls, but no one from regional management has contacted me to date. This is not just poor service but a serious safety issue. I am requesting:

    1. Full reimbursement of the dealership’s repair cost.
    2. Acknowledgment of the faulty repair and mishandled complaint.

    3. A formal investigation and corrective action.

I was traveling out of town to a conference in Grapevine, Texas. My my oil indicated low oil so I stopped at the Firestone in Grapevine, Texas located 695 State Highway 121 bypass Coppell TX 75019. I asked the store attendant who happen to be ** if they can check my vehicle to see if it was leaking oil. They stated it was gonna be $23 to check to see if there was any oil leaks and I told him to go ahead. After inspection, I was told by ** that he did not find any oil leaks in my vehicle but he recommended an oil change. Since I was traveling, I agreed to do the oil change there, which they said it would take 30 minutes. After an hour and a half waiting nobody came to tell me anything about the status of my vehicle so I went to the front counter. I asked the girl working in the front, What was the issue with my vehicle and why was it taking too long since they told me it was only gonna take 30 minutes.

She went to ** and asked him what was taking long. ** said that when they removed the screw from the oil pan and tried to put it back it was messed up and they had ordered a new one and we’re waiting for it to arrive. I was never told at any time about the screw needing replacement or what the issue was with the screw. I’ve never had any issues with this vehicle at all since I’ve had it so I was concerned. After another 45 minutes, I went back to the front desk to ask the girl what was taking so long and if the screw had come in. At this point, I figured something was going on with my vehicle and they were not telling me. I aksed to speak to the manager at this point and he came to tell me that when they attempted to screw the oil pan screw back in the threads were messed up and they were gonna need to replace the oil pan which required to remove the whole engine to get to the oil pan and it would be over $4000.

I asked the manager how can this happen? I called my regular mechanic who works on my vehicle as far as oil changes and he explained to me that if they over tighten the screw that it would cause the threads to be shaved. I went back and I asked ** if he was the one that removed the screw. ** told me that he did remove the screw. I asked ** if he’s the one that tighten the screw back on my vehicle. ** became very nervous his eyes began to flicker and he became very nervous. ** told me that he wasn’t the one that tightened the screw. When I spoke to the manager and the front clerk, they both stated that ** was the only one working on my vehicle so at this point, I knew he was lying to me. The manager told me they cannot fix my car anyways because they didn’t have personnel and it would take over a week to fix.

I was only going to be in town for the week. I had to rent a car and I had to tow my vehicle to another mechanic for them to fix the issue that I know Firestone mechanics caused. I did call to file a formal complaint with Firestone and spoke with **. He was not willing to hear me out, and he already had made his decision to deny any claim. All I like is honesty. I’m a very honest guy, and I expect everybody to be honest, which I know the people at Firestone are not. I do not recommend you take your vehicle to any Firestone. I am still trying to get my vehicle fixed.

I called on a Friday explaining that my car made a sound and seemed to be running louder than normal then smoke was seen. I explained that it was hot to stand beside. Dropped my car off that evening for a diagnostic and inspection of what could be the issue. Got a call early Saturday morning with the information they determined it was my cooling fan and they they didn’t see any oil anywhere on the engine it shouldn’t be. It was over $1000 to repair (this is with discounts). Paid the money took my car home only to call immediately reporting neither of my front turn signals worked (they did Friday). They said they couldn’t help me until Monday so I returned then and they replaced the blown bulbs at no charge. I left there and two hours later while sitting in car loop to pick up my children my temp gauge was redlining.

I scheduled an appointment with a different location. The gentleman was very nice and told me that he suspected it may be a blown gasket issue now but I would need to take it to a garage or dealership to have a more thorough block tear. I took it to a local shop where they determined that while the fan may have been ONE issue it wasn’t the main cause of the smoke or fan burning out. The water pump was SEVERELY CORRODED causing these issues and now causing a cylinder head gasket to blow (could’ve been avoided had my car been thoroughly inspected to start with according to the mechanic).

I called and filed a complaint that day with Firestone. Was told I would hear from an area manager within 48 hours (2 business days) that time passed and I heard nothing. I called again and was told my claim would be consisted to the regional manager and it would be ANOTHER 2 business days. AGAIN this time passed and I heard nothing. I called back AGAIN and was told it would be expedited to the divisional manager and would hear from them in 2 business days. AGAIN HEARD NOTHING.

My case is now sitting in the inbox for corporate to contact me with if the next 3 days. Meanwhile I am without my vehicle, I rented a vehicle on my own for the first couple days when they were to contact me. It’s expensive and I can’t afford to rent another car when this isn’t my fault. It is going to cost $7,300 to have my car repaired again for something that resulted in a misdiagnosis that I paid over $1,000 for. I have to use my husband's vehicle with the a/c isn’t working properly with my young child that I have to pick up and we have to then sit without a/c in upper 90 degree temps waiting for his older siblings and we can’t leave our vehicle. I am so disappointed in this company that I had used for about 25 years. They are proving that they only care about money and not their actual consumers.

I went to Firestone for a battery terminal replacement. What should have been a quick and easy fix, has been a disaster! Due to Firestone's failure perform the job correctly and completely, a job that other mechanics called "simple" and "hard to mess up," as well as a complete lack of communication, I have had to hire another mechanic to inspect and diagnose Firestone's work and the mechanical issues it has caused. I drove my car off the lot 5 days ago and it hasn't started since. Tomorrow I will find out the damages.

Also, there was absolutely NO communication whatsoever regarding the oil and coolant. I had to call them back twice to get a straight answer and they finally admitted that the oil barely registered on the dipstick and the coolant was bone dry, and hemmed and hawed around before saying that it should have been communicated to me. Both the store manager and the mechanic were in the lobby when I checked out and neither mentioned a thing! I made an immediate trip to O'Reilly's for the fluids. Had I not been vigilant, this could have cost me the entire engine!

Firestone has demonstrated a total lack of responsibility, offered no apology, offered no resolution, and refused to accept any liability whatsoever for the substandard mechanical skills and the detrimental service and value provided. Therefore, my additional time and expenses include conferencing with an attorney, and taking and printing photos and getting signed Affidavits.

The staff member repeatedly asked me to repeat myself both over the phone and in person, even when I was speaking clearly, which became frustrating. Over the phone, I explained I was on speaker and later switched off, but the same issue continued when I arrived in person.

When I asked for the cost of each tire, I was only given the total, and had to ask again for an itemized price. The staff member also incorrectly claimed he had spoken to my wife, when in fact I was the one who called. This gave me the impression that I was being treated this way because I am bilingual, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. Overall, the lack of basic courtesy, attention to detail, and transparency made this an unpleasant experience, and I will not be returning to this location.

On 6/19/2025, we had my son's car towed into the Firestone Complete Auto Care in Spring Hill, TN. The car had overheated on us and had gone into a guardian mode and shut down. The car was also low on coolant and he filled it up prior to towing in. They stated it needed a thermostat and gasket and to do so they needed to remove and charge the AC. They filled the car with coolant and tested and said all was good. They stated we needed two new tires and since the car was repaired we decided to put 4 tires on the car.

Less than two weeks later, 7/10/2025, the car had the exact same issue and we had to have it towed to firestone for repair. They stated that they could find no issue and that the coolant level was fine. Again I told them that it was out of coolant again and we again filled it prior to bringing it in. They again stated there was nothing wrong with it and released the car back to us. I advised that we would see them in a week when we had to have it towed again and next time they were paying the tow bill.

Less than a week later the car was still losing coolant and we took it back. The issue still not resolved, they refused to work on the car and said that they couldn't get it started. I asked to speak with the GM 4 times and never received a call back from him. He would instead have his assistant call. Finally they decided that they would refund the money for the services involving the coolant repair. I then had the car towed to the shop next door and they said that it was a head gasket issue the entire time and now more damage was done and it needed a new engine. We now have a car that we are going to have to scrap because of the engine replacement cost. I am concerned that the negligence on the part of Firestone caused the issue to get worse and damage the engine block leaving the car unrepairable.

At 5 they called and said it would be done at 5:45. I showed up and paid the $866.00 bill and was handed the keys by Peter, I went out and started the car and it stalled a few seconds later and would not restart, Peter and I looked and found a disconnected wire next to the alternator. He told me he would have them look at first thing in the morning since all the techs had already left for the day.

The next morning Nick called and said the car started and drove perfectly around the building, but later he took it for a longer drive and it stalled and would not restart, they told me they could diagnose it for another $150.00. Around 3 PM, Adam called and said I have good news and bad news, the good news is, it starts and idles but will not accelerate because it went in to “limp mode” because of all the problems and told me even if they did all the work, it might not fix the problem.

Since I could not drive it home at idle to try to see what was causing it not to go past idle. I went out the next day and bought a new car. A coworker has a car trailer and offered me $500.00 since the car was not drivable to take it. After the coworker got the car home, he opened the fuse box and found the 15 amp throttle motor fuse missing. He took the headlight fuse and put it in the throttle motor position and the car started and drove perfectly, and there was no check engine light or codes. He sent me pictures of the missing fuse and fuse box cover.

I called Nick and told him about the missing throttle motor fuse and he told me they never went into the fuse box but he will check with the techs the next day. Nick called me back and said the techs were in the fuse box to remove relays but never touched the fuses. Nick asked what I wanted to remedy the problem, so I said since I sold the car based on it not driving with needing a throttle body, cam sensor and crankshaft position sensor and maybe a wiring harness and is in “limp mode” And the only problem was that somebody removed a fuse that would not let the throttle motor function and keeping the car at idle caused me to sell it at a $3500 loss. He said he would file a claim with corporate, and I would be hearing from them.

I was called by Leon in Nashville, and told him the exact story, and emailed him the pictures of the missing fuse and the car running with no check engine light on. He said he would look into it and get back to me. The next day he called and said they are denying the claim because I didn’t have them do the work or take it to an electrical place they recommended, and just because I drove the car in with it accelerating fine with the fuse, I can’t prove they removed it. For me at best it was carelessness and at worst it was deception and gross incompetence. I have worked on cars all my life and was still misled because I trusted them to be honest and own their mistake.

I once praised this location and its team. I meant every word at the time. But now, after what’s happened to my vehicle and the danger my family was put in, I fully retract that review. Firestone destroyed my vehicle. Not by accident — but by a repeated, careless pattern of failure, denial, and blatant disrespect. They put me and my spouse at risk; we drove across state lines in a car that never should’ve left the lot. The fact that we weren’t seriously injured or worse isn’t just luck — it’s grace. According to Luke Firestone everything was handled, all warranty work was completed, and there was nothing more to be done. Except, of course, it was still broken — because the components that should’ve been installed were never actually there. It’s not confusion. It’s not miscommunication. It’s negligence, plain and simple.

Let’s not forget where this shop is located: on a military base. The very place where integrity, honor, and accountability are supposed to matter. And yet, this is how customers — including military families — are treated? No sense of urgency. No ownership of mistakes. No respect for the people they’re serving. As if that weren’t enough, vehicles are regularly left outside unsecured, hoods wide open, overnight — before and after business hours. On base or not, that’s not just sloppy. It’s irresponsible. So no — I no longer recommend this location nor any Firestone. Not for service. Not for honesty. Not for anything. And if you’re a military spouse, service member, or anyone who values safety, trust, or basic decency — I’d advise you to run, not walk, in the opposite direction. May God bless every customer who walks through those doors — because if your experience looks anything like mine, you’re going to need it.

I prefer to leave reviews praising the businesses I use but sometimes you must caution other customers or potential customers by informing them of your experience. This was mine on July 25th, 2025, and why I will not be returning or suggesting this Firestone anymore. The prior Wednesday I noticed the front tires on my truck were wearing on the edge and figured I needed an alignment, so I scheduled an appointment at this Firestone for Friday at 9am. I know this location can be busy, so I wanted to give them enough time before I had to pick my daughter up at daycare. I spoke to the man in the lobby, and we looked at it and he also thought it needed an alignment. He also suggested I get an oil change being my truck was just over 40,000 miles and I agreed to it. I got a ride home and waited.

Around 2:30 I had not heard from them, so I called and checked on my truck’s status. He let me know that they were just about done and would call me when it was ready. After another hour went by, I got a ride back to see if it was ready. Pulling into the parking lot I noticed my truck was still backed into the spot I left it in which had me a little worried but was hoping it was ready, and they put it back the same way. When I let the lady know, I was there to pick up my truck she started searching for my keys and invoice and could not find them. The man from earlier came out to let me know they had not started on it yet. I was surprised and confused due to the fact I had dropped it off over 6 hours ago. I asked for my keys, and they offered to pull it in immediately, but I knew even if they did that, I would be late picking up my daughter, so I declined.

I was then offered to bring it in the next day, but I had to work which is why I had scheduled it for Friday to begin with, so I declined that offer as well. I asked why I was told it was almost ready earlier which the response I received was they thought I was talking about another F150. That could be true, but I think if someone calls to inquire about their vehicle you should do your due diligence in making sure you have an accurate answer. I was also told because I left it there, they work on the ones people stay and wait for first. This also could be true but when I dropped it off there was no one else there and when I came to pick it up there was only one person waiting and no one notified me that that was the procedure.

I waited 3 days before making this review because I wanted to see if anyone would reach out to me, which never happened. I will also be informing the corporate office of this experience but regardless I will not be returning. I have used this Firestone several times for my vehicles but that will not be happening anymore. With this customer they lost 3 vehicles, but I doubt they really care. So, in conclusion, if you are in search of an auto center that treats you like you are more than just a number and value your business this is not the place to go.

I made an appointment with Firestone Escondido to change my engine air filter. When I got there, they said that the filter was not available. After two days of commuting to your shop, they finally got in my car and opened a few screws from my car. Within a few minutes, they said that the cost of changing air filter will be much higher than what they quoted me.

They added almost 100 dollars to the labor cost because they had to open more screws in order to get to the air filter box. They said it is a horrendous car and will take longer to change a simple air filter. They challenged the technology of a very famous car maker in the USA just because it might have taken 5 minutes longer to replace the air filter.

This was the last time I would go there. They are such a money hungry company that they even contradict their own words and quotes. I had a similar experience with another Firestone shop management. I was under the impression that the issue that I had was just that management. Now, it is proven that this issue is a company wide issue and not just the workers.

At this point I am not willing to drive it because I DO NOT WANT TO CAUSE DAMAGE nor did I know if there was any at the time. Call after call, the store manager was going to make a HOUSE CALL to my home which never happened!! I requested a loaner vehicle so I could work, they refused!! I missed 5 days of work! It has stressed me and my family out beyond belief. Costing me extra to order groceries etc...I ran out of money, missed my child's physical to attend kindergarten and more.. I am still dealing with it after exactly 2 weeks today!! They have told me they will fix it, however they do not offer professional cleaning services, and could not do the oil change correctly the first time.

The claim advisor has been very Rude and closed my claim, leaving me no choice than to pay out A LOT OF MONEY for proper repairs, get my entire interior, engine bay, undercarriage and paint cleaned costs $2250.00 due to the oil. The recommended "dry ice" treatment is almost double that amount. I do not trust my rubber components are ok after being coveted in engine oil for 2 weeks, so I am at a loss for now.. I opened a new claim with them.. I just feel I should be compensated for all the mental anguish, lost wages, and MY HARD EARNED MONEY SPENT ON PARTS THAT are ruined. I will never look at my truck the same even when it gets resolved!! The really don't care about people. Do yourself a favor and take your car anywhere but here! Now I had brought my car to them twice they inspected my car. Told me my car needed to tune up and what was causing the gas smell that I was smelling was because the fuel injector. They fixed the fuel injector. After I left, the car was still smelling like gas and the car was still smoking.

Brought the car back to them again. They told me now it’s the manifold. Paid them another 1300. They allegedly said that was what was the problem and it was not. The car caught on fire. Total loss. They say it’s not their fault. They say it was due to a faulty wiring from the battery. Well, as long as I had that car and was driving that car ain’t none of those issues that I had. The person came out and inspect the car say that was what was wrong with the car. I didn’t have the money because I just spent almost $3000 in getting all the other stuff fixed that they alleged that was wrong with the car. Had I not had to do all of that I would’ve had $3000 in my bank account.

So he told me this morning default was the battery and the wiring. Do you see how when you accompany incorporations and you don’t have no money to fight these big people this is what happened. When you were small fish and a big pond you get swallowed up by the big fish. Yes I know things happen, but I believe Firestone is lying and no, I am not in my feelings. No I’m not in my emotions. I’m just calling this stuff out as though it is as a consumer. This is the second time. I don’t have something like this happened to me where my car was damaged and each time the people who damaged like Firestone and well as like these Jiffy Lube or places, they will never say that they messed up anything. They will never take responsibility and say this most people will never take responsibility for their actions when they’re wrong, who do that but me so why do I think Firestone is gonna do it?

Extremely Disappointed – Unsafe, Incompetent Service. I brought my 2017 Ford Expedition in for a routine "Car Care Package", only to receive it back with two lug nuts missing on one wheel and a broken lug nut on another. No one at the service desk mentioned this to me when I picked up the vehicle, and I didn’t discover it until I’d driven all the way to work on Highway 75. I regularly drive with my children in this car, so to learn that Firestone returned the vehicle in an unsafe condition without notification is absolutely mind-boggling. A tire coming off at highway speed or a wheel flying off in my neighborhood could easily cause serious injury, a multi-vehicle collision, or worse, a fatality.

When I called customer service, I was told a “case file” was opened—but I haven’t received any follow-up call or email. I called again and was told they opened another "case file" and I would be contacted. Still nothing. That level of silence only compounds the frustration and concern. Looking back, I should have sensed a problem the moment they broke one of my wife's lug nuts and didn’t tell me. I took her 2017 Ford Expedition in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Instead, they quietly ordered a replacement part and had me wait over two hours without explanation.

It’s clear something is very wrong at this location—whether it’s untrained technicians, faulty equipment, or broken communication between the shop and the front desk. They desperately need customer service training and a better system for alerting customers to safety issues. Every visit here seems to introduce a new set of faces behind the counter. I strongly recommend avoiding this Allen-McDermott Firestone and visiting their Allen-Stacy or Allen-Bethany locations instead. Safety and basic courtesy shouldn’t be this hard to find.

Very disappointed and frustrated with the service. I chose to get new tires here because their website showed many different tires of different price ranges in stock for my type of vehicle. After calling to ask if they could perform an alignment, I asked how much the total would be. He told me almost $700. I asked how much the tires were because on their website they had tires that were significantly less expensive. He told me that the tires were already put on, and there was nothing they could do. I am extremely annoyed that they didn't confirm the price with me before selecting tires on my behalf for my car. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I asked for an itemized breakdown and the guy at the front told me I would receive one only after signing. I won't be returning.

I made a complaint to their customer service for a refund and it doesn't work, the store manager denied to refund but agree to rework anytime with the one-year warranty. But the fact is that no matter how many times they rework, they don't have the capacity to locate the problem and fix it, and I merely waste my time, and money! When I went to check out, I was suddenly charged $82.98 due to a “prorated” fee, something that was never mentioned before the work was done.

When I questioned it, the person at the counter was rude and dismissive, saying “What do you want me to do, take the battery out?” That’s not a real option, it felt like pressure. He gave a fake apology and blamed me for a “misunderstanding,” but I was clearly misled. I later confirmed the battery has a 36-month free replacement warranty, and Firestone failed to honor it. I asked him to double check the door lock because it has not locked in 2 weeks. I check every time after I hit door lock button. It never locks. He said he asked, and they did not find an issue with it. Now it’s Wednesday. I go to pick up my truck. Before I enter the store, I go to my truck sitting in the lot. The driver’s side door is unlocked, all other doors are locked. I went inside and told him this and he said that he was the one that pulled the truck out of the shop last night and he locked the door. I asked him if he checked to see if the door was locked. He said everything worked.

The door never locked, and he never checked it. Had he locked it with the button then just simply pulled the handle he would have seen it did not lock like I described. This means my truck sat on the lot all night and day with the driver’s side door unlocked. Then he asked if I wanted a quote to fix it. It’s under warranty and they had my truck for 3 days. They NEVER investigated the issue. I told him no; I would take my business elsewhere.

I asked him what I owed for the work that was done, he told me $580. I told him they have my warranty on file and they mentioned that when they called me for approval for the parts to be changed.; ball joint was covered and then I had to pay out of pocket for the serpentine belt $200 and my deductible of $100. Bill should be around $300. He says, "Let me see…. Ohhh…umm you owe $340…" He was going to charge me $580. I was never sent a receipt to my email. I don’t have any record of what he charged me for. Employees were respectful. However pricing for the work completed was ridiculous and not explained very well. My son took his car in for an alignment. He was told he needed cam bolts (2-bolts) or they would not warranty the alignment. What is required to replace the bolts is literally removing the tire and with a socket and wrench, remove the old and place the new… This work would literally take 15-20 minutes per side including taking a break… The bolt kits from Firestone are $70 per side is what they charged him. The same bolt kits from the dealer cost $42, oreillys- $30, auto zone- $30, etc…. Labor rate charged per side from Firestone was $170 a side. Again this is for 1 bolt per side and 20-30 minutes total for both sides if you are taking your time.

My son needed a simple alignment and wound up costing $577.00 to align and replace 2 bolts (camber bolts) that is not OE Equipment. I’ve worked on cars all my life, had I know what should have been a reputable company would take advantage of a young adult so badly I would have definitely done the work for him. It is a shame that a company would take advantage of people in such a way.

When I went with him to pick his vehicle up, I had them put it back on the rack to show me exactly what he was having to pay for and I’m sorry but I was disgusted and as I thought it was a super easy procedure which made their job even easier. Now with all of that said, these are the same bolts that they have to access and loosen any way to make adjustments to do the alignment… Shame on your so called policy and pricing. As a customer reading this review do your homework and don’t take what a mechanic says for granted because obviously businesses are more in to taking advantage of people than trying to provide a fair service!

I visited the Greensburg store to purchase a lifetime all wheel alignment. As they performed the service, the store manager came out to tell me my front brakes were “almost metal to metal". I informed the manager I had my car inspected at the Toyota dealership four days prior and they passed my vehicle. At the time of the inspection, the dealership sent me a video of their inspection and noted the front brakes measured 5/32“and at 4/32 they "recommended" changing them. The dealership also said I should plan on changing them at my next service appointment. The Firestone manager stood by his statement that the brakes were “almost metal to metal”. I changed my brakes and took the brakes to show the store manager - which measured 5/32” on the outside brakes and 4/32” on the inside brakes. I was hoping he would admit their mistake, but he did not. I was disappointed.

I left after 2 hours only to drive a few blocks and I start hearing very loud noise. I turned back and barely made into their driveway when I felt my car flat in the back. I got out of my car to see my tire slanted outward. It had only one lug nut!!

I was so upset I felt I was shaking, I was so angry! I was lucky to have made it back without getting into accident or causing harm to someone else. I ran in office and told Miguel to look at the job they done. He called the guys to come look. He was apologetic but at same time tried saying my luggage nuts were old and rusty. Yes, they were but if that was a problem why didn't they address the issue before letting me drive off? Whoever installed my tires put the lug nuts and forgot to tighten that entire tire! One guy had to lift my car while another put a jack underneath so they can raise it and put a spare so they could drive inside shop.

They bought lug nuts for it, gave me a complementary oil change and returned my car 3 hours after that incident. I was beyond disappointed at their service, their wait time. The Manager, Ozzie, drove my car to my home and I drove him back to shop. The guys were polite but I needed expertise in their field not there to meet Mr nice Guy, that does me no good. I also had to call off from work which really upset me because I am a responsible adult with a strong work ethic. All and all my car is ok after an all-day event at that Firestone shop in Oak Park but I am sure I will NOT be returning to them. Today, they offer no customer service and are charging for work that wasn't done. I dropped my car off yesterday at 8am for brake repairs, loose pedal brakes, tire pressure checks, and other services, and was repeatedly promised it would be ready by the day's end. After receiving no updates by 5pm, I called for an hour with no answer. I then took a Uber to the shop only to be told my car wasn't ready and given a series of excuses, blaming the 'new manager.' When I took the appointment on Friday and been told the same (new manager was not in yet...) they even promised us a refund or compensation.

This morning, when I went to pick up my car, I was met with laughter and a refusal to acknowledge my complaints and been told "you can complain to corporate if you'd like". They've done half the work, my tires are still over inflated and still haven't fixed the pedal brakes which is A SAFETY ISSUE... The only thing completed was the brakes, despite us paying for everything else BEFORE. I'm now filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and corporate as this is a safety issue. How can I start? Let me just say I am a diehard Firestone customer and up until 1-23-25 I have been very happy with Firestone! Now I have done a lot of business with Firestone and I have a Firestone-branded credit card. On 1-21-25 my 17-year-old daughter along with my 15-year-old daughter in the back seat had a rear tire to BLOWOUT the inside side wall of a tire purchased at Firestone. I visited the Harrisburg NC location on 1-22-25, one of the managers tried his best to help me but could not make a decision without the store manager, so I contacted Firestone corporate customer service/warranty Dept - explained my issue to them in full detail and was told that they would give me a reference number and for me to contact the store manager the next day, he also said there should be no reason why the store would not take care of me as a customer.

I went to the store on 1-23-25 and I was seen at the store by store manager Randy who I have a lot of respect for. The tire brand which is no longer carried by Firestone also has a recall on them however Randy told me the DOT #'s do not match therefore there wasn't anything he could do however he did offer to prorate them out, but what I would have ended of paying was really almost the cost of a new set of tires. I asked Randy to give me his DM's phone number, he instead told me that he would ask the DM to give me a call, again that was on 1-23-25 and it's now 11:17 pm on 1-27-25 and I have not received a call from the DM of the Harrisburg NC store.

I have a long-standing relationship with Firestone however the DM I feel did not feel the importance of calling me as a long-term customer! I am a 40+ year retail manager that has held several high profile manager positions including as a DM! And in my early twenties, I was working for Firestone as a part of a store management team, so I have a pretty good idea on how some not all DM's at Firestone do not care enough to call a customer especially when there is a serious issue!

My daughters could have been seriously hurt! By the way my 17yr old pulled out of a college parking lot the tire blew out and she pulled into a gas station parking lot as she was taught to for obvious safety reasons her driving distance through this entire ordeal was less than 2 street blocks or less, so RUN FLAT was not the cause of the BLOWOUT! I even visited a "Mavis Tire" location explained the issue to them without LYING about the ordeal and they agreed with me based on what the blowout tire damage was! The DM not contacting the customer to TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER is the WORST form of customer service a Firestone MANAGEMENT representative could ever "DO" for any CUSTOMER, especially a LONG TERM CUSTOMER!!

The technician who conducted all this was listed on my Firestone Complete Auto Care Final Invoice "Retail Invoice # **" as (33 Anthony). This technician who did the work failed to change/replace a bad/faulty/stripped oil drain plug-which also had a bad o-ring on it, This was determined after the engine seized/blew, when I had a 3rd party Certified Master Technician from Speedy Wheels Automotive complete a multi-point inspection on my cadillac DTS, to pinpoint the cause of the engine seizing, and also what repairs/replacements that needed to be done to fix my vehicle like it was prior to bringing it into Firestone Complete Auto Care on the 14th of December.

Due to the technician from Firestone Complete Auto Care's negligence, my oil in my engine leaked out and caused my engine to seize/blow. This according to the Certified Master Technician from Speedy Wheels Automotive this all could have been prevented if the technician "Anthony" had conducted his job duties/responsibilities while he was performing the routine maintenance by replacing the bad faulty oil drain plug that was clearly visually defective. He neglected to do so.

In the end by him not taking on his responsibilities, my cadillac's engine needed to be replaced due to no oil in engine. I have since got a another mechanic shop in NY "Speedy Wheels Automotive" to replace the engine costing me $6,508.92 to do so, and now I want to get re-imburse for the out of pocket money I had to spend cause of Firestone's technician's negligence, but Firestone isn't responding, they are not wanting to re-imburse me, they have denied my claim, and also my appeal. My tires have about 10K or so miles left on them (hopefully) and they are certainly not down to the wearbars yet. I feel as though your policy is either 1. take advantage of women or 2. refuse to patch a tire if they look like they may be in their last year-ish of life.

Subsequently, I took my tires somewhere else to be patched both times. The tech said they were absolutely patchable. However, he said this happens frequently with y'all. These experiences have exhausted my trust. Every set of tires I have ever purchased has come from Firestone. Probably 10 sets in my lifetime. First off, I knew 2 of my tires needed replacing (I just checked my air pressure myself and all the tire valves worked fine). I went to Firestone where they took off the 2 bad front tires, rotated the 2 old tires to the front, put 2 new Firestone brand tires in the back. The next day, I noticed the tire valve was locked on one of the new tires in the back. I went back to them and they fixed it (I feel like they lightly implied I did it, when I know the valve was fine before them.)

Next, new problem: one of the old tires (now in the front) wasn't holding air. At first I thought it was the weather, but I had to keep topping it off every day. So I went to them to specifically have them check that tire. They also told me it was the weather. I insisted they look, they spritzed it with water, couldn't find anything, said it was the weather, topped it off. It went flat the next day, so I came in again and said to just give me two new front tires, and to specifically check all the tire valves.

In doing so, they said the problem was all the rust on the rim (so, to be fair, they couldn't have seen that the day before. But why didn't they do their due diligence to check for more things; but also, why had they not seen and/or done anything about that when they took off the front tires initially?). So they ground off the rust, put on new front tires, told me they created a good seal and told me they put in all new tire valves. So then I felt pleased... The next day, I got an oil change from them, everything seemed well...

The next day (today), since the weather dropped again, I was manually checking my tire air pressure and discovered the back right tire valve was hissing (tire valve loose) now. So I just went back in to have them fix that. So... Did they install the tire valve kit incorrectly? And then, did they not check my tires on the oil change the next day? I thought they were supposed to be a reputable tire company. This all has left me displeased. (I never had any of these issues when I went to Discount Tire, which I expected less from.) As an aside, every time I go there, they say they only have one mechanic on hand. Anyways, yeah, displeased.

Second, I took a car that had a new battery that kept dying. I told them the battery was “New” and they said they needed to put a new battery in, which then died like the other one. They said again they didn’t even know what the problem was and sent me to the dealer. They then wanted me to pay for their battery. When I said no they put mine back. The car is still in their parking lot because it needs to be jumped. I will never go here again.

I have been a loyal customer for 25 years of Firestone. During my time in the military, having Firestone located made my choice easy for vehicle maintenance. On 9/13/24 I went to my local Firestone needing tire replacement and was nearly killed by their negligence. I have an all-wheel drive vehicle, and they replaced two of my tires with the wrong sized tires. At first, I thought that the lack of traction was due to the rain on the roads, until I took a high-speed trip on various country roads where I nearly lost control of my vehicle countless times. To say it was a terrifying experience is an understatement. Upon my arrival at my destination 60 miles away I went to a local Firestone, and was told that they could not find anything wrong with my vehicle, even test-driving my vehicle.

I then drove the 60 miles back to my town, opting for the Firestone in the next town over for someone to determine what was causing my car to handle erratically. The technicians were able to determine in under 5 minutes that the wrong tires were put on my car, which would cause my all-drive vehicle to override my responses. It was recommended that I contact the corporate office to inform them of what happened to my vehicle in the event that there is any long-term damage done.

I did so on 9/23/24 and was given case number **. I was told that I would be notified by the local supervisor within 48 hours. I was never contacted. I called back 1-2 weeks later, and said that no one had contacted me, and was adamant that I am not contacted by the Firestone who had caused the problem. The local Firestone called me and left me a message for me to return their call. Needless to say, I did not return the call, and no one has called me since. Disappointed by the lack of customer service doesn't even come close.

I recently two weeks ago visited this location for synthetic oil and filter change and car inspection for my Honda Odyssey. I think they did not change the oil but charged me for very expensive synthetic oil change. After going to home when I checked engine oil level, I was shocked to see that engine oil is very dark/black and thick. They also messed up my car and my van engine start making weird noise. I also notice that when they always recommend lot of expensive maintenance and if you don’t agree with it they do not like it. I hope Firestone as a company make notice of bad reviews they are getting due to bad practices.

The manager, Matt, and front-desk employees David and Chuck are always pleasant and honest. I went in December 3rd, 2024, with a question about work done on one of my cars the day before Thanksgiving and Matt politely listened to me, volunteered to go out to my car with me and within 2 minutes answered the questions I had asked and put my mind at ease.

Without me asking, he volunteered to give me a credit reducing the labor cost for the work that had been done and I left the store completely satisfied and grateful that Matt had been so pleasant and accommodating. The service there and the staffers have always been polite and willing to explain the work needed and to answer any questions about work that's been done, so my expectations were high when I went into the store December 3rd. So it's never good time when our cars are disabled in any kind of way, and I know this from both sides of experience as a car owner and a Customer Service Advisor in the car world but one thing that makes a world of difference is EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Sometimes that can make the difference in bad services in any industry this is true. But while we are searching for our forever home and the first snow storm our only car needed to be towed for a flat tire and when I let them know around 830 it was coming they said it would be after 1 possibly 2 before it was ready.

Our daughter was in town and although it was an inconvenience it was what it was so we knew it needed a oil change and tire rotation because we'd been so busy and broke but it was going to my place of empty Monday. Well I got my car back around 530pm and only to have had the same problem today at 12, noon. Same tire. They guess what they rotate my tires so now it's the front driver side but my dash tells me they didn't do their full job as well because it says right rear tire is low and that's where it was but they rotated it they just didn't retrain my wheels or patch my tire. What's the probability in 5 blocks I ran over something else in the exact same new tires??? Waiting to talk to manager Mike tomorrow because I'm sitting here waiting for my services to be fulfilled and then I will fix or delete my review as according to results.

I needed an oil change so my wife has used this location before so I brought my car in after hers and figured I needed new tires on my 2020 Silverado as one had a slow leak so I let them do 4 Bridgestones on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. On Wednesday we drove her mother home to Queens. On the way back on the Southern State BOOM. Of course it happened where the Southern State has no shoulder. The car sensor stated I had no air in the front passenger tire but the problem felt in the rear passenger tire. I managed to get it to a small piece of shoulder and my wife saw the rear passenger tire was flat. It had approximately 50 miles on it. Defective tire? Small road debris? Incorrect installation?

Roadside assistance took care of this and of course you have to Jack up the tire to get the spare on this model so the roadside guy did a nice job and installed the spare. Friday morning my wife called Goodyear and told them about the tire. She brought it in and they told her they couldn't reset the tire sensor because it was a GM issue. Sure! Then they told her they could patch the tire. It had 50 miles on it! So they replaced it and charged her to balance the new tire instead to doing the right thing. Then the best part of all they put the spare in the truck bed. They were too lazy to put it back even though they had the car on a lift.

When I get home I am going to have to check the tire to make sure they actually replaced it and didn't patch it . When you are too incompetent or lazy to reset a sensor and replace a spare you have to question what else did they do wrong and I have to question was the tire put on correctly in the first place. Stay far away from this place. There are literally 8 other shops within a mile. Don't go here!

The tires have an 80,000 mile warranty, and my car already had 86,000 miles, but I didn't want to have to worry about tires anytime in the near future. Recently, one tire was losing air. I took the car to Firestone (which I have to do or I could possibly void the warranty) and after waiting an hour, the person told me he removed a nail and sent me on my way. The tire was not fixed. Three days later I had to put air in, and then again in three days, and again in three days. I had to figure out when I had the time to go to Firestone WITH an appointment only to sit and wait for at least an hour for a repair that wasn't completed correctly the first time.

Today I had an appointment at 3 pm. At 5 pm I was still waiting and the car still had not gone in. When I asked about the status and mentioned again that this was a return trip, the person told me that a nail was removed the last time, but no repair was made! I couldn't believe it. I have wasted HOURS just to fix a leak in my tire and it has taken me two trips to do so. When called by Debbie, who claimed to be the manager then said she was the only one on duty and I needed to speak to the real manager Tony, to explain work needed and authorization for work, she listed tire replacement, tire sensor replacement, and brake pad replacement.

My daughter who took the call told her she would call her back with authorization. She called me and I instructed only the brake pads and we would get tires at another place. Debbie informed her on the call back "that she would fail inspection". This statement to her only meant if she got an inspection she would fail, which is not what we authorized or asked for. By admission Debbie agreed she only authorized brake pads at that time of the call. According to Debbie, when I spoke to her in person, the inspection was already completed when she called and they could not take it back. Essentially doing work without authorization and charging us for it. The other items were just placed on the ticket without any mention or need.

When I asked Debbie why, she said the parking brake is electronic and they have to engage it when changing the pads, I had my other vehicle worked on at the same Firestone a week and a half earlier and I have electric brakes as well and I was not charged this nor told they had to do this. I have no idea what TPMS diagnostic is or why they had to do it, she gave no explanation. I sent my daughter to drop it off because I felt comfortable at the time due to how well my first experience was, however, now I feel they took advantage of a young person and added all this unnecessary work and even after being only authorized for brake replacement, continued to add services without our knowledge.

Overall a horrible company and I have been to many different locations over California. Experience is all the same. Poor work. Bad service from store staff and store manager. If you are in the Indio CA location stay clear from this store. Carlos the store manager is very unprofessional and will leave you hanging. Firestone has lost a long time customer in me. I will never ever take any of my cars to any of their locations again.

The Marysville Washington Firestone branch is a horrible shop and their corporation is very negligent. This all started off as a simple coolant leak. Then turned into a six-month battle after placing the wrong thermostat in my 08 Hummer. Upon trying to get a resolution as my truck was overheating and dying after getting it out of the shop twice after my initial assessment. They then replaced my engine stating that was the cause due to low oil pressure. Well, my truck is still running hot. After a day and a half of them looking at it again, I went, took my keys back and my truck because they kept telling me they didn't know the cause after supposedly replacing everything but the tranny.

Then stating it was the clutch fan was the cause, as you see my clutch fan was just replaced back in May with the radiator. So instead of trying to assist and help their customers they would rather play guessing games and cost them more money. Yes they replaced the motor but I still have no idea about how many miles are on it. I've asked 3 times, can't get anything back from corporate. I've been trying for 4 months. And I'm not the first vehicle they've messed up just check their other reviews.

Went in to get service on my vehicle, I was few minutes early and was told by Tristian at the Lakewood, Wa location that they weren’t open yet as he pointed his finger gesturing me to leave and wait outside. His tone was very rude as if he was having a bad morning and needed someone to take it out on. Then I was charged over $400 for an oil change, new windshield wipers, and a battery. I also asked for all fluids to be checked and was told they will. As I’m driving home, I notice they didn’t put any windshield wiper fluid, so now I’m kinda suspicious as far as what exactly they do to service my vehicle when a very basic fluid wasn’t filled. I will not be going back to Firestone after giving them my business for over 10 years. I’m one of the many customers that supports this store, and to walk in and be treated like crap because the employee is having a crappy morning is no excuse.

Updated on 10/14/2024: Update to my previous review, Oct. 14, 2024 updates; On 9/16/24 I took my 2018 Jeep Wrangler to Firestone 1020 Airport Rd. Huntsville Alabama 35802. On or about 9/18/24 Firestone called me to inform me that my vehicle would not start and they do NOT know why, keep in mind I drove the vehicle there for a tune-up, advising me that I would have to have it towed to another mechanic to have it repaired. Also, I will have to pay $973.58 before Firestone can release the vehicle to the wrecker company. After a long conversation the price was reduced to $486.94, I reluctantly paid the bill so the wrecker company could tow my vehicle to another mechanic to fix the damage caused by Firestone mechanics.

After writing the first review a Firestone management contacted me on September 27, 2024. This manager (Joseph?) asked about my experience with Firestone, so I explained what had happened. After I finished, he asked How can I make this better? I told him he could give me my money back or at least he should give me the $486.94 minus the parts (spark plugs) $113.94. He said he would have to speak with the district manager and he would let me know if there was a solution to this situation. Honestly, I think Firestone should repay me for the damages they caused $483.13 (Rocket City Off Road repair Bill), the wrecker bill, and repay me the $486.94 they charged me to damage my vehicle then hold it hostage until I pay it so it could be towed to Rocket City Off Road to be repaired. As of today, September 14, 2024, Just as I expected NOTHING, NOT A WORD, GO FIGURE!

Original review: Firestone Complete Auto Care, I am VERY dissatisfied, I have been a happy customer since 2006. I have never felt so ripped off by a business as I felt when I concluded my transaction at the Firestone on Airport Rd Huntsville AL location. My check engine and stop/start service lights came on so I stopped at a parts center nearby and they checked my vehicle. The fault code indicated that I needed a tune up, plugs and coil wires changed, so I decided to use Firestone Complete Auto Care. I drove the vehicle to Firestone 1020 Airport Rd Huntsville Al. I explained to the manager the situation and he agreed I need a tune up plus a fuel line flush. So, I agreed to have firestone fix my vehicle and I left the business.

After a few days I had not heard from the business so I called to check on my vehicle, after being put on hold for over twenty minutes then disconnected, I decided to stop by the business. When I arrived, my vehicle was in the maintenance bay and it appeared they were fixing it. As I was talking to the manager another employee enters the lobby advising the vehicle should be fixed in a few hours so I left the business. The next day I received a call from an employee of firestone that my vehicle would not start and that firestone does NOT have the equipment to fix my vehicle and that the mechanics DO NOT know what is wrong, why it no longer starts. He continued stating I would have to have the vehicle towed to another service station or the dealership.

I called a wrecker company, who responded to Firestone to pick up the vehicle, when he arrived the manager and or employee refused to release the vehicle until I paid $786.00 for the REPAIRS. The wrecked driver called me, explained the situation, and left the business. I called Firestone and after a long conversation with the office employee the price was reduced to $486.94 for the so-called repairs, which I paid so they would release the vehicle to the wrecker company.

The vehicle towed to another service station in the Huntsville area. That service station repaired my vehicle in less than a day and called me when it was finished. The repairs had to be done because of the damage, neglect, and incompetence of the firestone mechanics. They had shorted out the vehicle’s battery, blown fuses, and damaged the can bus which cost me another $483.13 to have repaired plus a wrecker tow bill.

After driving the vehicle home, I looked under the hood and I’m not sure they replace all the spark plugs. A tune up kit for Jeep Wrangler JL comes with the plugs and Ignition Coils, mine are still dirty and several do NOT look like they have been touched. (Still covered in dust with no fingerprints.) They are definitely the original ignition coils so I know they have not been replaced. Also, multiple wires and secure ties were loose or completely disconnected. In closing, I received poor service, overcharged for repairs that may or may not have been done, and then I had to pay to fix the damages they caused by neglect and incompetence.

Firestone in Winter Park, FL is not trustworthy. Took my car in for an oil change & 60K mile maintenance. $1200 later my car was vibrating and pulling to the right and I had to go back to Firestone and they did more work. The next day leaving on a trip the car was shaking at 65 mph and we had to find the nearest Firestone which was 45 min away, they said my tire was separating and that Winter Park should have noticed this and replaced the tire. Plus Firestone did the same maintenance that was only done 14 months prior and nowhere near the mileage that would require the same services.

Simple oil leak repair..replace bad oil drain plug...After picking up car I did notice a MUCH worse oil leak..When returning to Firestone they put in dye to track oil leak and wanted me to return after a few days to review leak..When I did bring car back for 3rd visit they mentioned that oil pan was source of leak and they were not able to repair..BMW...I did take to a specialty repair shop and was told "Engine oil drain plug was over tightened, pan itself has a stop position when the plug is torqued correctly this stopping point has been surpassed/worn down allowing the plug to go in further and leak."

When I called this location and discussed with office staff GM did call me and denied his mechanics were not responsible and would not take any responsibility despite documentation verifying the timeline...$2700 repair replacing entire oil pan! Besides the additional damage caused by mechanics I felt as a 40 year loyal customer I was treated horrible and completely disrespected...My only recourse will be to pursue a refund through all means available and if legal recourse is required then so be it..Also DELETE MY ACCOUNT!

My car was being serviced and because it was the mechanic took the liberty to play my radio and leave my door open. The results is my battery has diminished power and is not starting without an occasional non start. I was unsure why a practically new battery would be giving me problems all of a sudden? My observation revealed why. The job being done was motor mount installation. Why are my doors open??

I took my truck to Firestone for a routine alignment. After leaving the truck, I got a call saying I needed additional work. I sorely agreed. Another call came a few hours later, they needed to replace a part wouldn't you know. The next day, they needed to order the part from Houston. After 6 days and $900 later we picked up the truck. I continued to ask about previous work done on my front end. All I can say is they do not stand behind their work. Some of the same work was done with a lifetime warranty and they attempted to charge us again. I had to produce our previous receipts to get it removed from the bill.

The labor (most expensive) is not guaranteed beyond 12 months. Again, they do not stand behind their work. So many disappointments over the years that I had to say something. The saddest of all is the customer service. After taking the truck back for a re-alignment the next day with an appointment, they had me wait 3 hrs. The truck was filthy with oily smut everywhere including steering wheel, door handles and floor mats. After the re-alignment was done the clerk said "here you go" and handed me the key. I'm done!

I am very satisfied on Firestone’s customer service! I ended up talking to the manager there about an issue I had. He listened to my frustrations. He took the time and explained everything to me in detail. He made sure it was all taken care of and that says a whole lot about Firestone! A special thank you for making me feel better.

I went to Firestone at 5523 Clinton Highway and have a full service done back in June. I have a 2017 Jeep Cherokee with an engine cover. I have an engine cover on my engine and the oil cover piece has to be removed before you can change the oil. They removed it and never replaced it, now my engine has a piece over the oil filter missing and looks bad. They said it was already missing of course but I personally checked it before leaving it that very day. Please check your vehicle before and after and take pictures or they will just throw it back together to get you out of the way.

I brought my car to this place for A/C repair and was charged for an evac and recharge. I also had them replace my CV joints. They did not charge me for the stripping my tie rod ends, but did mess a couple other things up.

    1) Did not fix A/C as stated and won’t refund work.

    2) Forgot to place 5+ underbelly pan screws which fell down later on the highway.

No big deal right? I was able to get off the highway and reduce the risk of getting killed working on car and bought a bungee cord and got a couple paper clips from a convenience store in the middle of the night to get me by….for an hour drive home. Of course, after getting a little sleep before work calls again I run by hoping to get a few plugs placed on the pan until they can try and fix A/C for a second time. They wanted to place my car on a rack for 15+ minutes, which would make me late for work. Ok for me to get on the ground for a fix….not them.

So, I call corporate and ask for a refund on A/C work and lifetime alignment….since I don’t want to take my car back now. Lost my trust in them. Regional manager starts giving me a song and dance how belly pan screws/clips get worn from hitting parking curbs, bla bla bla. Thanks for the insult, no parking blocks in my driveway, stores I go to or work….Park at end of aisle to avoid door dings….Try another excuse Mr. manager. Also, asked the store not call me cause I don’t want to tell them how inept they are, plus I’m on-call all the time. What does the store do….Yuuuup….Called and woke me up after 3.5 hours of sleep. Thanks again. Sure wish I looked at the lousy reviews of this place!!!!

I took my classic 16-year-old Jaguar s type 4.2 to Firestone Complete Auto Care at 3804 Easton Nazareth Highway 18045 store #322455 for a complete flush and fill of my cooling system after installing a new radiator. I drove the car over on Saturday, August 31 for the service. Now I had called Friday to schedule the appointment for a fluid flush and fill and asked if they perform this service. I was told they did in fact perform this service.

I drove the car with mostly water in the cooling system over to Firestone as to not throw money away on the expensive coolant while testing the system after changing the radiator. My mistake was driving the car with mostly water as it boils at 212 degrees and the car runs at 190-210 st normal. This caused the water to boil by the time I got to the shop popping the hose off the expansion tank. The car didn't overheat but the water was boiling. I informed the service manager ** and the tech ** that the car had about two gallons of water in it and not to let the car get up to running temp before draining the system and refilling it with coolant as the water will boil.

** thanked me for letting him know and I was on my way. I came back two hours later to pick up the car and drove it to lunch ten minutes away with no issues. I then went about running errands with the AC on and five minutes later I had a low coolant warning in my instrument console. I immediately pulled over and saw the steam from under the hood. Sure enough, the hose on the expansion tank had come off and dumped coolant everywhere. Now I'm thinking my engine is destroyed if coolant was that hot. Had the car towed back to Firestone, I stopped in on my way home to let them know the car was on its way back.

I asked how the system flush went as I had just noticed on my invoice that the car they were servicing was the wrong car and they only used 6.8 quarts of coolant in my entire system when it uses 13 quarts. I was told the tech only topped off the coolant and bled the system of air which meant water was still in the system when I received it back! The service I paid for ($146) wasn't even the service I got as I found out at that time the vacuum system wasn't working!! I paid for a tech to gravity bleed my car when I could do that myself with similar results! I was paying for a vacuum fill to eliminate air pockets, that's what I wanted!

I had to call the shop to see if my car was delivered and was informed that they think my hoses were backwards? Water only flows the direction of the pump...and persist to point blame on the hoses even though the tech admitted to leaving water in the system. The car has been at Firestone for four days with no phone calls or anything to inform me of what was being done. I had to call by the end of the day Sunday to find out the tech wasn't there to work on my car when I stopped by earlier to get items from my car and found a tech had it in a service bay...I thought they were working on it but the service manager had said nothing was done.

Monday I received no calls and found my car was sitting in the parking lot all day.

I had no idea what had or had not been done by this time and it was late in the afternoon so I went in and spoke to the service manager. He informed me that ** left at noon but had worked on the coolant flush again (manually again not vacuum) and test drove the car and had the same expansion tank hose come off. No other information was told to me other than I could call Tuesday to see what was done and get my car. I waited until 3 pm Tuesday and didn't receive any calls so I called the Firestone. ** answered and went to ask ** what was done with the black Jaguar. I could hear them both talking while I was on the other end of the line. ** said "Oh yeah, I test-drove the car yesterday and the hose came off again and I just parked it"...

And I was informed by the manager that the car was test-drove with having a hose issue. I asked why the car wasn't looked at since and if they could fix the hose and top off the coolant so I could pick up the car or leave it until I received the new expansion tank and hose to fix it in the parking lot. I was told "You could do whatever I want buddy"...I just didn't want you take a chance that if I drive it home since the issue was never resolved and damaged my engine. I'm at a loss from the multiple times I called customer service for a callback by the regional manager did anyone ever call me... I didn't get the level of service I paid for and my issues were never resolved. The shop never performed a pressure test on the system as they should have to try and find the problem. Even if they couldn't fix it they should have helped try to troubleshoot it and give me the customer direction and value for my money.
