    I bought a 2007 jeep liberty from drivetime and was under the impression it had gone under a multi point inspection upon being sold....complete and utter bull. Not a week after I drove this jeep did the check engine light come on and start making horrible noises. Took it to the recommended claim center who drove it for less than 30 seconds and found it needed a completely new motor and some other work done. Now I put my entire savings into this car and was told by drivetime that, "well it's a used car"... like I should be smarter. Guess what, after a week worth of repairs and NO car the check engine light is BACK ON!!!! This is not fine with me at all and drivetime doesn't give a rats ** about it. All they care about is making a sale. It's been a hassle since I walked in ready to buy when I had to wait three hours for a key to be made because a manager took the keys home and I couldn't sign a contract till then. I was late for work and have been constantly regretting this choice to go with DriveTime and they didn't care about my budget one bit. Buyer beware, get it checked before you sign anything, you may be getting scammed. Never going back.

    I have to say that your Drive Time team on Winchester Rd in Memphis Tn is nothing short of being the best ever!! I did my paper work at that location, but liked a truck at the Covington Pike location. When we went to the Covington Pike location, nobody would help us. We had to wait 30 minutes, just to get somebody to unlock it, so that we could look at the truck.. We called the Winchester Rd office to tell them what was going on. They promptly sent Quinton from their office, to take a test drive. Quinton took the truck back to the Winchester lot and we completed the sale.. On the inspection, we found that the tail lights were loose. They had a guy fix it on the spot. I can't say enough about them.. But your Covington Pike employees were not helpful at all. So the review that I am giving is for the Winchester Rd crew only.

    The only thing I was unhappy with is the 6 to 7 hrs I was there although I expected it & I have no interior carpets & my car was dirty inside & out. I expected the outside.     Upon arriving to DriveTime, I was greeted politely by everyone. The sales representative I worked with was fantastic. My only issues were the fact that no one tried to keep me in the price range I continuously stated. They were well above it so leaving I was of course happy with my car, but not as satisfied as one could have been with my payments. My car was also not cleaned before being given to me, therefore, adding to the list of things needing to be done with the car.     On 02/19/14, I purchased a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix from Drive Time. I purchased their insurance with the understanding that I would get my money back when I purchased my own insurance. On 02/20/14, I purchased my own insurance (which was effective 12:01 am 02/120/14). I sent the declarations page to Drive Time and up with a phone call the next week, which they said They did not receive it and for me to Progressive and have them fax proof of my insurance to them. I did and they did. I call back in two or three day later. They had to call Progressive to see, I guess, if the fax was correct. When he came back to the phone, he stated I should receive my refund in 7 to 10 days. Two week later, I called and then he said it would be 30 days before I would receive my refund. As of, today 03/22/14 I still had not got my refund.

    Another dishonest thing that they did was, when I test drove the car and she was showing all of the ins and outs of the car, there was solid black flood mats in the truck. When I looked in the Trunk the next day, they was not in there, they stole them back, they wasn't new so I let it go. They took a $10,395.00 price and with all the perks they give me, it went up to $26,637.29. They only show me the first page of the financial agreement. I am paying more interest than what the cost of the car ($11,967.08). It is my fault because I did not read all of my paper right away. It was after the three days to return the car.

    We apologize that you are having concerns with your DriveTime account. When a DriveTime Customer gets their vehicle insured and send in proof of insurance, the remaining balance of the DriveTime Insurance is refunded as a credit towards the principle of the DriveTime Account.
    All DriveTime Sales Contracts include a Federal Truth in Lending Disclosure Statement. In this statement it shows the original purchase price of the vehicle, and then shows the total amount you will be paying if you pay all your payments as scheduled with interest. You can lower the total amount paid on your loan by paying ahead on your car payments. If you are able to do this, it will allow you to pay off your loan with less interest charges.

    I leased a van from DriveTime not even two weeks ago. We only had the vehicle for 6 days and the engine light came on. I took it to O'Reilly's and was told it was the Torque Converter. Upon calling Drive Time to discuss it with them, I was automatically transferred to the Warranty department, which was closed. My husband called back to the Drive Time office and had to tell the sales person not to transfer him that he needed to speak with someone. We were told to take it to a transmission shop to be looked at. So we are planning to take the van this afternoon.

    It bothers me greatly that I put a large down payment on this vehicle and to have problems already. Also, during the walk-through of the vehicle I noticed a problem with one of the automatic sliding doors, but after the salesman worked with it a few times the door seemed to be okay. Two days later and even now the door has to be forced open. Sometimes it works okay and sometimes it doesn't. Very disappointed in the quality of this vehicle. I was assured this was a great deal and now I feel like they just wanted it off of their lot.

    I was very disappointed. First, the truck was dirty and when I drove the truck home, it started running bad and the motor keep dying on me. I only had the truck two days and already having problems with it. And when I called the dealership, it seemed like no one wanted to talk to me.     I recently bought a very nice car from Drivetime. The day I purchased it, the weather was very rough and I didn't want to be outside anymore than I had to. When I got back home I noticed dog hair all in my car (I don't own a dog.) and that the inside had obviously not been cleaned. As far as customer service and friendliness go, I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with and finding the right car.     On Saturday 3/8/14 my husband and I stopped in at DriveTime in Tulsa to take a look at a Kia Rondo on their lot. We were approached my David **. He greeted us, asked how he could help and what we were looking for. We spoke briefly and let him know we had groceries in our vehicle, including ice cream. He walked us to our car and continued the conversation. He jotted down our names and other notes about our needs. At home we checked out the DriveTime website and filled out their application.     My mother recently died from an acute infection. She was sick or injured prior to this incident. I live eight states away and had to handle her bills and property. No executor was appointed. She had a car and I didn't and couldn't locate any bills or payment plans. I was told by a friend drivetime was the financier. After receiving the death certificate, I faxed the information. I was told they could not tell me anything about the bill on the car and take it to a locale dealer. I inquired about their life assist and he stated she did not qualify. They were uncooperative and insensitive. I don't even know, if she owes them anything on the car. I feel like I'm getting the shaft. Please assist. Do I need to secure an attorney to have the information released prior to turning the car in.

    Late payment 2011 r/t emergency surgery. Deferment arrangements made. Company so far refuses to do a goodwill removal of late payments. On time since 2011. Will affect credit score until 2018!! !... 3 years after loan is paid in full. All companies have the ability to report or remove any information they choose! ! Have written a letter to CEO; awaiting reply. Helping customers with credit situations, but create a whole new set of them! Drivetime customer service was very dismissive in their return letter and my follow-up phone calls to them. I hope the CEO will offer a better resolution.

    I went in to the Ft Worth location on N Riverside. After being approved for the 795 down, I found 2 different cars that I liked. Has we talked some I was told that the down would be like 1200. But that 400 of it would be deferred to later. That would been ok. So I asked to test drive one of the 2 that I liked. When Reggie drove it up to the front I heard an odd pop noise. I thought ok maybe it was just me hearing something. So took it for a drive and I heard the noise a few more times. And then I walked around it a few time and noticed that the rear tires would need to be replace very soon. I even did the coin test and they would not passed an inspection. Also the rear rotor's were bad.

    So I told Reggie what I thought about it and the problem I found and was told there was nothing he could do about them. Then I asked him if he could see if one of the other lots might have the same car or one similar to it. He said he would check. He was gone about 2 mins, came back out and said there wasn't. So I told him I would think about it and let him know later. Well on Monday Feb 24 I get a call from some lady at drive time about 9 or 10 that morning. She asked me how my visit went. I told her not good and what happen. She said she would check and see if and other lots in my area have what I was looking for. And she found 2 or 3. Well I was now really P.O. that they wouldn't do anything about the one I drove and that I was lied to about not any other ones.

    We almost got sucked in to the DriveTime nightmare! I have read many reviews about the same experience that we had. We went to DriveTime because we don't have much of a credit score due to the fact that we don't normally finance things. We DO have plenty of income to pay and have been with our car insurance company for over 20 years. The reason I bring that up is because ** at DriveTime in Jackson, MS asked me if we were able to get insurance for the car we were buying!

    We were treated like we were broke, irresponsible, and stupid! The car we wanted to buy had some (probably brake) noise in the front end. We asked that they take care of that before we finalized the purchase. We were given the run around for days and finally they admitted that they wouldn't do any repairs on the car, anyway. Also, our state requires that all vehicles pass state inspection. DriveTime sells vehicles that are NOT inspected! Unheard of! I don't know what the state law says about that, but no reputable dealer is going to let someone drive away in an uninspected vehicle.

    DriveTime's document fees are double that of any other dealer. I experienced some very rude behavior, too. Their sales people don't seem to know much about the car business, only the DriveTime business. They said things that they didn't remember saying and kept us confused on everything. In my opinion, DriveTime is not trustworthy.

    DriveTime really needs to take a look at how they are marketing to get potential customers in the door. The commercials and calls from the customer service department once an application online has been filled out is VERY deceiving and it took us 3 trips before we actually drove off in a vehicle. We also saw several customers get upset and leave because of the deception that was presented to them to get them to the dealership. You are lucky none of them have reported you to the BBB. Overall, our experience was just so so. The management didn't seem to know all the answers to common questions and he appeared to be "shady". We will recommend friends to the dealership but we will tell them everything they need to know and bring going in.

    I bought a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan. Within the first 30 days which it came with a 30-day warranty I was having problems with the ignition. The Fob key wouldn't come out and the front blower motor would shut off while driving. I called them, they transferred me to the warranty place. I went to the shop they told me to go to. I explained to them that if you shut off the vehicle it would reset the fan and would work for a little bit before doing it again. I also informed them there was a loud rattling coming from under the vehicle which the shop never checked out but was documented in my complaint. The problem happens to be the brake calipers.

    So after several times at the shop and many hours sitting waiting on my vehicle it still was doing the same thing but now getting worse. So I went back to dealer and complain that it's not being fixed properly. They have me contact customer service which again gives me the warranty department. They say bring it back to the same place that keeps replacing the wrong things. I had a Dr. appointment that I had to go to. Now the blower motor goes out again and now the windows won't go up. I get to Dr. and turn off the Fob key and now everything works. I get out of Drs. start the vehicle now nothing works.

    I go straight to the shop and show them. They take 4 hours to diagnose the problem. They even had to get a scanner from another store and say its an internal short in the ignition switch which they gave a fancy new name and call it a WIN wireless ignition node. It's shorting out and not communicating with the computer causing everything to shut off while driving. So now the Shop calls the warranty place and they now refuse to cover it because it's now past 30 days and 1500 miles when this has been the same continuing problem and all they can offer is for me to pay out of my pocket, send in receipts and get a freaking loan extension which means now I'm paying to have vehicle fixed and paying another month at the end of my loan.

    Well, not happening. I'm on disability. I don't have that kinda money. I asked for a different vehicle if they won't fix it. The dealer said no. So now I'm going to be forced into getting a lawyer for Auto Fraud calling the local TV Station, contact 13 that handles these kind of people and lets the community in on their dealings and drive around with how they screwed me by Not Honoring their warranty all over the windows till I get results. Sad part is I already sent people who bought vehicles also. Would like to add I'm not the only one at this Las Vegas location that is having issues. Someone, I believe his name was Henry came in at the same time. He's missing bolts that hold his brake calipers and now his rotors on his Chevy Silverado are jacked up and is having the same issues with the warranty place. These are all SAFETY ISSUES and I want them fixed or a different vehicle.

    2/6/14, I came in looking to get cash car in Houston, TX. Sales rep Eddie ** was nice but lacked proper sales knowledge. Sales manager TY completely wasted my time. They sold me a 2008 burnt orange Dodge Caliber, took my money $3551.30 for down payment, then tell me, "Oh, we don't have authorization to sell this car." Like, wtf... We did the entire procedure, that should have been checked upfront. I pissed to the max, I will never refer anyone here.

    I would like to comment on the level of professionalism, and service I received at the Union City Dealership. I'm not a huge fan of the process it takes to purchase a car, however, Georgia made my experience the best I could ask for. It wasn't just her professionalism that encouraged me to write. It was the fact that she really cared about me and what I wanted. She was considerate of my time and very personable. She made me feel comfortable with my decision. She did everything right. I would give her a 9 out of 10 rating.

    There was a situation to occur while I was purchasing. A rude and disgruntled customer showed up, that had some negative feedback from his experience. He was obviously not happy with his purchase and wanted me and other buyers to know. I think the manager's name was Shae... But her and Georgia handled it very well and professionally even tho the customer was very rude. Georgia took it a bit to the heart... It really hurt her feelings but that goes to show how much she really cares about her clients. That helped me to realize that I was dealing with someone who was human... Most of the time that's not the case. Most would act as if it didn't affect them, as if they don't care. Georgia was really concerned and I commend that.

    Most of us don't really care what you know, we want to know that you care. That's the way in impulsing a buyer nowadays.. Show us that you care more than about a sale. Georgia and Shae accurately displayed this during my visit. It was a long day for us there and we did get a bit restless, so neither Georgia or Shae would be expecting this review. Please be sure to highlight their great work because they deserve it. P.S... I am also happy with my car. But that's not as important as how happy I am with the service I received!

    11 days after being sold a truck I am having to do work on it out of my pocket. I was sold a load of crap about a warranty and it was bumper to bumper for 30 days or 1500 miles and I haven't reached either and now they won't cover the bill on the truck repair and have gave me the run around for 3 hours sending me from department to department and giving me bogus excuses. I bought the truck around closing time on Saturday and called them on Monday and took it to the place I was told to take it to.

    This is NOT acceptable and shouldn't happen. When I told them I wanted my trade in back they now can't seem to find it so now it is time for an attorney. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS COMPANY.     Once I was "approved" online, I saw they had the particular vehicle I had been looking for at this particular lot. Once I got there, I had to wait in the lobby for about 15 minutes before a Sales Manager came and took my information. Once he ran my credit, I realized he took the lowest credit score available to tell me that I didn't qualify for the actual car that I wanted, and then insisted that I test drive the cars that I "qualified" for. Not only was I unhappy, but my children were displeased also. After the test drive, the SM tallied up my monthly payments and I would be paying almost 500.00 a month for a car which I didn't want nor like... I don't think so... I haven't been back to the lot since. They are actually my last resort. Credit issues or not, if I can pay Drive Time nearly 400.00 plus bucks a month for a vehicle, I might as well be paying that for what I really really want instead of what I so-call "qualify" for.

    We were bamboozled into a contract that we were never able to afford, we were never told that we could downgrade our vehicle up to a year of our contract date, and it was just 3 weeks after a year and they still would not make an exception in order to save our credit. If a companies motto is to HELP people build their credit they surely failed at that because they have completely destroyed our credit and while waiting for them to repossess the vehicle it is now sitting broken.

    Got a Mercedes 6 months ago and it is now just sat on my drive way. It needs 3000 bucks worth of repairs ranging from new fuel pump spark plugs and wires need replacing, new brake shoes, basically everything not covered. I've been sold a lemon, a 20,000 dollar lemon and with this car I can't drive. I've asked them to take the car back. They said no. Tried to exchange it for a car that works, they said no. I've asked for them to have their mechanic look at it, they said no, what they have said is pay or default ....This sucks, they have zero wiggle room o can't pay for repairs plus payments and they won't budge.
