My car started having problems the very next day. Something I wanted fix didn't get fix because it wasn't considered major. I had a better experience at some other places where I was denied for a car.

I work in the Customer Service Industry as a Help Desk Analyst, in my previous job I taught Customer Service to Tier II and Tier III because even though they were good at what they did. They talked down to their customers and left a bad impression. I've never experienced better Service in my life. Mary was exceptional. She's really a valuable employee with your organization. The Manager was knowledgeable and invaluable in explaining everything in a very professional manner. I had the most pleasant experience and would recommend anyone to go to Drive Time, not because I was able to purchase a vehicle but because I trusted them to do right by me. They made me feel a part of the family. I never was a stranger to them but a friend. They reached out to me and invited me within their circle of friendship. It felt like home. I will be a loyal customer and send anyone I know to Drive Time. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my experience with you.

I had the pleasure of walking in, being greeted, and having the time of my life... the associates were all very in depth with their knowledge and very accurate and to the point. I was given a chance to test drive the vehicle and learned a lot about personal experiences with my associate. I felt educated, and learned a lot about the vehicle before I even asked. I was happy, pleased, and hope to do business again in the future! A++++++++ rating in my eyes.

This place is great if you have no credit and a first time car buyer. They tell you that anyone can be approved and that is true... but they will also make you pay a very, very high interest and the price of the car changes through the sales process. The sticker will say $11,000 but as you sign the contract, the loan they give you will be for $13,000 even if the car is only 11... Then with interest you pay, $21,000 for a car that sticker price is $11,000... But being a first time buyer, I thought it would be good for my credit and I needed a car so I signed the lease.
As I test drove the car, the sales person told me that every car goes through a inspection and has passed. So far I have made every payment on time and lived up to my part. Now I have had the car for 3 months and have drove it 1500 miles to and from work each day. Last week the car just wouldn't start so I call the DriveTime Averex Insurance that I also was told covers almost everything with the car if something goes wrong. Well that's not even close to true nor was the lie that every car passes a inspection. The mechanic that THEY told me to take it to said that if the car was inspected properly that they would have seen the belt tensioner was not correct and it lead to a list of other problems. And when I tried to see if the warranty would cover it, they said that most everything wasn't well except the tow... Now 3 months later and 1500 miles, I have to spend 1,100 bucks out of my own pocket to fix this car.
My advice is if you do buy a car from DriveTime that you should also make sure you keep a few thousand in the bank to cover the repairs that you're going to have to take care of. I honestly can't see how a car that was told to be in like new condition and have went through a inspection can have such a huge problem and the fact that there was no help from the Averex warranty that they pretty much insist that you purchase and pay almost 3 thousand for but yet they do everything in their power to get out of covering the things that were clearly wrong before I even bought the car. Then when I called DriveTime and asked about it, the salesman who answered said, "Well, honestly WE don't inspect the cars, that another company does."
Ok well then telling people we have a garage and mechanics that go through every car before they are sold like the salesperson told to me is just a bold-faced lie. I understand car lots are all about profits but to screw people over this bad should be against the law. My car Kelley Blue Book price is $7,875. I'm paying $21000 and another 2 thousand for the vehicle coverage and so far I have found that everything they tell you is a lie. They smile and try their hardest to get you in a car and once you sign on the dotted line, they do nothing but screw you over. If you are on a budget and don't have good credit, my advice would be to save your money and go elsewhere or keep a lot of money in the bank to fix the car when it breaks down. If not, you're screwed cause this place will not help you at all like they say they will nor do they stand behind their product.

Too many hands involved in the process, took more time than other experiences at other dealerships in the past. Plus no one bothered to show me all my features on my car.

The people at the East Colonial DriveTime are excellent. They went above and beyond to make sure we got into a car that we could afford. We needed a car because the one we had needed transmission work and we just couldn't afford to fix it. We really had no cash for a down payment,. However, the manager said he would give us $500 for our broken car if we could get it to the lot. We got it towed to DriveTime and we picked the car we wanted and could afford.
When we went to sign the papers, there was no pressure to buy the extras. They just explained what they were and let us opt out. Also, instead of the $500 they were going to give us for our trade in, they gave us $600 so no cash out of pocket for the down payment. I would recommend DriveTime to anyone looking for a good used car.

I only stopped by to look and I ended up driving away with a sweet Malibu. Cody my sales rep was very courteous and very knowledgeable about the car I purchased. I was very pleased by the professionalism by all the staff. I didn't feel pressured and it was a great experience for buying a car. First off, Justin helped us out by letting me submit all my info by email since we live so far from their location! Before my wife and I got there, we knew what we needed to get the car we wanted. When we got there, Justin brought the car we thought we wanted around, but there was an issue with the top leaking, so he went to see what else we could qualify for. When the search ended in nothing close enough to get next day, he brought Larry in. Together they helped find something on their lot that we could go home with! We got our car, with a few obstacles of our own! They were so patient and positive the entire time. Even when my wife thought there was no hope, they made it happen! They are truly looking out for the customers. We would recommend DriveTime to everyone!!

I would recommend this dealership to anyone that is looking to purchase a car. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. They will do their best to put you in a vehicle that is fit for your income. Their down payments are low enough so that you can drive off with a vehicle the same day. This is my first time dealing with them and everything was more than I expected. If you want a car with low down payments and payments that you can afford, I recommend DriveTime!!

My overall experience at Drive Time was, so far, a good one. The wait was a very long one and the process long once I was helped but everyone was very cordial and helpful. My questions were answered promptly and courteously. The prices are very high but for somebody like myself who needed transportation and was striking out everywhere else Drive Time came through. Obviously if you have good credit you don't need them, but I don't and they were there.

I am very thankful that Drivetime was able to help me finance a vehicle even with my credit history. I have an opportunity to rebuild my credit history and I am very happy about that. The downfall to the entire process was how much time I spent waiting around. As a first time buyer I had a few moments of confusion and uncertainty. My vehicle choices were limited but I found one vehicle I set my mind on. I realize not everyone reads what they are signing but I did feel as if I was being rushed through the paperwork signing process and I wanted to take my time with understanding what I was committing to. Overall I am satisfied with Drivetime and would recommend others who could benefit from the services.

After seeing a commercial for DriveTime I did some looking on your website, got approved, then talked to my wife. She found a car she liked and we made an appointment to see it. She loved it, we bought it with the help of your very courteous and professional staff. Since it was a used car we took to a mechanic friend of ours and asked for a quick once over to make sure it was ok. He found several issues including the fact that the car was in an unreported accident. So we contacted the dealership and told them we were bringing the car back but wanted to see what else they had. They found us a similar car and we got that one. Thank you.

I had problems getting a vehicle from other lots and Drivetime gave me a chance. I leased a vehicle from Alta Mere, they got me in what I wanted. Then I had car problems but DriveTime and the warranty did everything to make me happy by providing excellent customer service and a new reliable vehicle. I got a call Monday saying I qualified for the champ program, when I called Tuesday it turned out I'd have to put in a deposit but the team at the highway 121 location did everything they could to get me into a car that day. I feel everyone was pleasant and friendly, but not totally satisfied with the length it took to sign all the final papers. Called sales person ahead of time to let them know when would be buy with wife to pay downpayment and sign papers, but needed everything ready to go because I needed to get back to work and this was during dinner time and I run a restaurant. Nothing was prepared before our arrival and took almost 2 hours. Also whoever was in charge of washing and detailing car for customers did a poor job other than the tires being shiny, there were water marks everywhere, stickers marks still on car and dirt inside.

I recently purchased a car from DriveTime and am very pleased with their customer service. The woman who sold me the car wanted to make sure I bought a car that was good for me. Before I left, she brought out a check list and went over everything with me to ensure that everything was properly working on the car. The down payment was cheap. Financing worked with me and did a great job as well. I would recommend anyone to buy a car from DriveTime.

Left without the car and purchased the same, make a year newer with 10000 less miles at another dealership. The interest rate was better. Payments where I could afford them! Do not let Drivetime make you think you have no other choices.

I purchased a 2010 Chrysler Sebring with 80000 miles on it from the South Austin Texas store on June 27, 2014. Put $2000 down and still had a payment over $350. I didn't get 12 miles before the thing overheated on me. So I called the dealer back to let them know and they just put it off on the warranty company. I hadn't owned the car more than an hour. So I decided I was going to take the car back - you know the 5-day return policy.
Well, you can bring the car back, but I still have not received my $2000 down payment back yet. I have called and I get “Oh yeah, we will call you Mr. ** when it comes in.” Been 2 weeks and nothing yet. You only have 5 days to bring the car back but we can keep your money for as long as we want. I would not recommend DriveTime to my worst enemy.

This complaint is accurate and fair. Drive time is known for selling lemons aka bad cars and instead of taking responsibility for their actions, they blamed it all on me. I got my car in February 2012, by July 2012 I found out that my transmission fluid was completely black. My timing belt was bad, my coolant fluid was bad and I had all of the original parts from when the car was new which my car is a 2007. I have documented proof. I contacted Dr Tom about fixing my car but they told me my car will have to literally break down before they would fix it and I ask what if I am stuck on the side of the road that is very dangerous, they told me that is why they have roadside assistance.
Customer relations for Drive Time is a joke. They don't fix the problem, they just blame everything on you like it's your fault. Everything that was wrong with my car was wrong with it when I bought it. They said they did an inspection on it. That is a lie because they should have known that or maybe they did know it and decided sell me the car anyway. Drive Time is a scam and a rip off. They steal people's money. Drive time should be punished for what they do to a good bit of their customers. They should not have an A+ with the Better Business Bureau. It should be an F-. THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!!

Bought a 2011 Nissan Sentra. It was priced $13195.00 on the window, added state license registration fee $33.35, state title fee $150.00, documentation fee 299.00, DriveCare Powertrain protection $2895.00, GAP Coverage $460.00, Skylink Service $495.00, Sales tax 1147.23. TOTAL OF 18675.03. $600.00 down. The total of the vehicle is fine.... THEN HERE COMES THE 21.511% INTEREST RATE, THE TOTAL OF THE CAR IS NOW $31,996.19!! A brand freaking new Sentra don't cost this much! I have to pay the interest first before I even begin to pay for the car. I love the Nissan sentra, but I don't love it enough to pay $31,996 for it!
I don't have credit, meaning i don't have bills, and yet, they gave me this interest. I wanted to return the car, but it's been 6 days since I've had it, and said I can return only within the 5th day. So I'll be paying $418.21 a month for the interest ONLY! So for 3 years for paying the interest, I then start paying off the car. This has to be my biggest mistake of my life! I defiantly will NOT recommend DriveTime to my family and friends. The staff are friendly though. I will taking off the GAP Coverage and the Skylink service.

Applied to DriveTime to try to get a car. I have terrible credit. Didn't think I would be accepted but got approved right away. Went to the lot and was treated great. Everyone was so nice and helpful. My salesman, Garrison was great. He didn't try to push options that I didn't need or want. Got a great car and I'm very happy. I am a new leasing customer who recently shopped at the Corpus Christi DriveTime. Our salesperson Kyleigh and her manager Sergio were very pleasant. They were very accommodating to us and our child which we appreciated very much and went out of their way to find a good fit for us and get us into a vehicle. Finding a vehicle and getting approved was quick and painless. Kevin **, Salesman was easy going and very polite. He listened to my wants and needs and made sure they were met. The processing of paperwork was long and tedious. The keyless entry remote was not functioning properly and DriveTime (DT) changed the battery. The next day the keyless remote was not functioning and DT told me to replace the battery. It still would not work. DT Manager, ** literally washed his hands off the issue and hung up on me after a heated conversation. I contacting DT customer service and extended warranty company and the resolution is the keyless remote is being replaced at my local Chevrolet dealership. I should not have had to go through this with a vehicle that has been in my possession less than 2 days.

I worked mostly with Sarah and Anthony. I went in without any expectations as my credit is often denied everywhere else but I needed a car. I worked with Anthony on my financial status and found out I was approved. I looked around the lot and he found me a car I would not only love to own but also that matched everything I was looking for. I have had my car just over 48 hours now and I am so happy and relieved and not only that, my car payments will help bring up my credit score. I am so happy! I am so relieved! I am so grateful for the opportunity to prove my credit worthiness while having access to a perfect car to get me places.

I called two days beforehand to make sure that the car was there. I took time off from work. I spent 6 hours and it should not have been that way. The car was dirty and I found a hole in the back seat after I got home. If I did not need this second car, I would return it.

DRIVETIME CAR SALES ARE PREDATORY LENDERS. They have taken advantage of a woman who lost her job after 25 years, and had no option but to go to DRIVETIME on Independence Blvd Charlotte, NC. I WANT OUT OF MY CAR WITHOUT A DOING A VOLUNTARY REPOSSESSION. They sold me a car with THREE recalls on it. I have no airbags because they are eroded. Water leaks in my car and the wiring is bad, as well as the steering column. They produced falsified documentation and did not tell me they did not fix the recalls. See pics.
DO NOT GO TO DRIVETIME. I am going to my local news station and I am going to spread the word about how DRIVETIME TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE CUMULATIVELY DISADVANTAGED! I am going to start a petition and send it to the TOP because predatory lenders need to be eliminated. DRIVETIME take my car back WITHOUT MAKING ME do a VOLUNTARY REPO! I had to go to DRIVETIME after I lost my job after 25 years. I was unemployed for 6 months! I finally go employed and they have raped me for a car that is only worth about $4000! They have gotten triple from me! Take this hunk of junk back!
No voluntary repo! The car is so bad, I have to use a rental car because it is illegal and UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN A CAR WITH ERODED AIR BAGS! Basically, they sold me an unsafe and unsound vehicle, without notifying me of any recalls and the fact they never fixed the recalls, it was NEVER on the information they showed me about the car. I WANT OUT OF THIS CAR! I HAVE BEEN RAPED! A 2003 CADILLAC IS NOT WORTH IT, THEY HAVE GOTTEN THE FULL RETAIL PRICE OF THE CAR IN 2003 AT THIS POINT. NOW I WANT OUT AND THEY TELL ME I HAVE TO DO A VOLUNTARY REPO! I AM GOING TO TELL THE WORLD ABOUT THIS.
Per Libby at corporate they can sell you any kind of car without disclosing safety issues. I have been driving a car without airbags without my knowledge, after multiple repairs they could have told me I was in a car of death. I now have to rely on a rental because I am fearful of my life in that car.
Although we apologize for the frustrations you are having with your vehicle, we do not agree with your statements about DriveTime; especially about DriveTime selling “unsafe cars”. DriveTime thoroughly inspects and repairs our vehicles before sale. Our inspection meets or exceeds all State and Federal safety standards. When a customer has mechanical concerns a year and a half after purchase, with over 20,000 miles driven since purchase; it is not typically an indication that the vehicle was sold in an unsafe condition. It is more likely a mechanical issue that has occurred since after purchase and could not have been predicted. Regarding recalls, there is a disclosure that is included with your documents at the time of sale that advises our customers to check with the vehicle manufacturer for any open recalls.
Although we are not able to assist you with your request, we would like to speak to you and see if we can come to some resolution to your concerns. The staff is amazing and friendly and will do whatever they can to make sure you get what you're looking for to the best of their ability. However, the general manager who works in the store is rude to the employees and also talks bad about customers in a way that can be heard by the customers. Extremely Unprofessional and uncalled for. Barnes is a great salesman and the two people who work the customer service desk are outstanding! The manager with the blonde hair (who's name has completely slipped my mind) is phenomenal! Overall a great experience, just don't talk to the GM.

I am overall happy with my purchase from Drive Time. They got me in a vehicle when no one else could and our salesman was awesome. Before we left with our vehicle it was apparent that the electric locks were not functioning properly. They worked on this before we left with the vehicle. It is a problem that happens off and on, so it was assumed that it was fixed. It is not fixed, we now have to contact someone that will accept the warranty to work on this. This would not be a big problem except when you are trying to unload groceries, etc and the vehicle locks rather than unlocks.
My biggest complaint is that I was only provided with one key and it was not the key FOB needed for the vehicle. I was told this was not a big deal since you can buy a universal one at a local auto parts store, by one of the Drive Time employees. Wrong. I have to have a special key fob cut and programmed. Another Dodge dealer is going to charge over $200 for this! Overall I am pleased, just disappointed that for the cost of the vehicle (which I realize is overpriced due to our credit situation and I am okay with) that a key fob was not included.

We were lost trying to find the dealership, its about an hour drive from Groveland to Kissimmee. It took us 2 hours and didn't get there till 10 minutes before closing. The sales staff were very friendly, said they didn't mind being there past closing and to take our time. We had already spotted the car we wanted on Drivetime's website and had called ahead of time to let them know and the car was right there waiting for us. The sales staff was very thorough making sure everything was right with the car and took it for a test drive. It was perfect! Very clean inside and out, like a brand new car. What impressed my husband and I was not only the car, but the friendly attitude and considering the lateness of the hour, they did not rush us, like so many of the stores going past closing time. Sooo to sum it up, we were really impressed with the sales staff and the car.

I purchased my vehicle back in May of 2014 & of course everyone at the dealership was very pleasant. That changed when I had to call the customer service hotline a month later. The reps were extremely rude & very pushy. Buyer's remorse started to sink in from those first few encounters. However it wasn't until the latest customer service debacle that really has me concerned about the next five years I'm stuck with Drivetime. On June 15th, I contacted Drivetime customer service to set up a payment for June 17th to pull directly from my Debit card. The rep was so helpful & very nice. She noted the change, updated the account information & that was it.
In the 17th I was surprised to find that Drivetime took out an extra $100 from my account which wasn't what I authorized at all. So at 7:43am I contacted the customer service center again spoke with rep Axie **. She was nice at first & seemed willing to help. She informed me she saw the notes from the rep who made changes & needed a copy of my bank statement showing where Drivetime took an extra $100. She gave me her email & I emailed a copy to her. I called to check if she had received it & then she told me it wasn't going to work, that she needed something with the bank information on it. That took me back because what I sent had the acct information along with proof in black & white that Drivetime took out more than I authorized. So I immediately went back to my bank account info to print everything & that's when the nightmare begin.
I sent the second copy to the same email address I sent the first but somehow all day she never got it. I sent that email over ten times and each time I called I got the same line - "I don't have it." After waiting to hear back from rep at 3pm & never getting a call I contacted customer service to find she had left for the day. So I left it alone and started the process again. I called Drivetime at 7am again, spoke with Kalyee ** who was helpful at first just like Ms. Axie I emailed her the bank statement, called to make sure she received it & yes finally we are getting somewhere I thought. Boy was I wrong. Hours passed and no update call. Ms. ** told me she had emailed it over to her manager & once she heard from him she would contact me. Hours passed. It's now almost 5pm & nothing. I call again and a different rep reads notes & says, "Yes, we are waiting for manager."
I really feel like I was given the runaround & at this point I will never trust Drivetime with any of my bank account information. I will be making all future payments at Walmart just for future mind. I really can't believe that they don't want to repay or credit back the extra $100 to my acct but more than anything I can't believe they all brushed me off the way they've done. Not the customer service I expect. I really regret ever going online believing the crap in their ads B/c from what I have experience the past few days, they are just ploys to get your business, get you in stuck in an upside down loan. I wish I would have went to CarMax. One thing's for sure. I will never take advantage of their referral program because I would have wish this type of poor customer service on anyone, friends, family or my worst enemy. Praying God will bless me with the $$$ to payoff this car early.

The salesman was very friendly and helpful. I was very happy with my purchase until the drive home, when I found out the car was programmed to go only 80 mph. The Mykey function only works with a primary key and alternate, which I only got the alternate. The car must be re-keyed and reprogrammed at the Ford dealership. When I spoke to Drive Time, they only offered to pay for half the cost, which is very wrong since I just purchased the vehicle and was under the impression that every thing worked properly. After spending another hour in the dealership, I left very UNHAPPY. I was ready to return the car before my 5 days. Somehow, the corporate office decided to pay the full amount of the repair, which made things much better.

I was into DriveTime with $1k down and driving out in a new to me Ford Fusion in 3 hours. An hour was my fault driving and looking at different cars. I didn't even have bad credit. I had NO credit. You have to start somewhere. If I had one complaint, it would be high interest rate but it's how you start and work it down. I recommend DriveTime to anyone with a job, looking to start a positive credit rating with a NICE car.

The Drive Time staff in Knoxville was outstanding and very professional. Heather ** was courteous and kind in the time that she took to make sure all was ok. David, their manager, put me in tears when he told me that I was approved! I am so used to a world of "no", so it baffled me when I finally got a "yes" for once in my life!! I am also grateful that the staff did not look at you as a customer that was trying to get something for nothing. They (if I dare say) took the initiative of the "act of grace" by looking beyond my faults, and seeing my need! I needed a good car to drive and they provided me without question or pause!
I also love the policy of leasing in their company. The fact that I have a 5-year or 50,000-mile protection plan is a great blessing when you need good transportation to get to where you need to go enable to make the fair payment plan, and believe me, it IS fair! I can also add the other additional information of why Drive Time is the best, but the "act of grace" is sufficient enough to say, "Wow! Where was this when I was in need of a vehicle from my past?" This is my 2nd experience with DriveTime. The 1st time just getting a car I felt took entirely too long. I was there from 11 to 7. I had to be at work at 3:30 and expected to be there at only 4 hours tops. The person that sold me the car however was a really nice guy and fun to talk to and deal with. My overall experience is I'm happy I got a car however wish it could've been done a li'l faster and a li'l smoother.

The buying process was very pleasant, the car needed cleaned when I got it home, no problem. I noticed that the tires on the car was all different tread patterns and makes, only 37,580 miles on car?? I took the car back and brought it to the attention of the the manager who must of graduated high school just last year, and after about 30 minutes he started to B.S. me about his mechanic, said the car was inspected and passed safety inspection for the state and if I didn't like it I could return it and get my money back, big problem since I already sold my previous car when I bought this one!!
I offered to go buy a set of used tires for about 200 dollars and split the difference with him and he said NO. Needless to say, I will never buy another car from them and wouldn't refer them to my worst enemy! I guess it's my fault to have been disabled before my time and have my credit bad enough to have to go to Drive Time. I hope this helps anyone with bad credit to watch their credit report so they don't have to go through the same thing that I did.

I purchased a vehicle from DriveTime in 2014 of March. I have had nothing but problems with this SUV. Every month it's something different - my brakes making horrible noise, yet nothing is wrong with them. My engine blew and I was out of a vehicle for three weeks. I only had the car for one week when this happened and yes I had to pay for a car that I did not have! Then after I got it back three weeks later, it was in again because it would not start. And now three weeks later all the check lights are on again. So I got sold a car that is broken and Will they give me a better car? I'm sure not!! Wish I could get a different car!! Very unhappy. Will not get a car from them again!

Based on the complaints I have read! I guess I am fortunate the repairs were made under the 30 day warranty. I am angry because they knew the AC needed a new compressor and thermostat, but sold the car to me hoping the temporary fix they had put in place would last 30 days and I would be stuck with the $1051.00 cost to repair. I would have too had I not had a death in my family causing me to put several hundred miles on the car. I will never go back to the Ocala location. The manager is lazy and dishonest. Ron, the sales rep acted like we were inconveniencing him.

I have been charged more than $23,000 for a vehicle worth less than $5000 according to Kelly Blue Book! This was my first time buying a car on my own and the 2009 Hyundai Elentra has had the transmission replaced TWICE in less than 8 months and the tried replaced due to the faulty alignment that was present when I first bought the car!
When I called the company and asked if I could trade it in on another car, the very rude response was: "Only after the balance is paid down to $4000 or less!" That's because, I learned later, that is the base value for the car. I am posting my experience everywhere I can in hopes of warning others before they make the same mistakes I did. According to RipOffReport.com, this company already has almost 1000 complaints against it....and if MY experience is anything like other people's, those complaints will certainly be growing!
I am now faced with destroying my credit or having a THIRD transmission and a second set of tires...all with 8 months! I even paid for the "extended warranty" and the company would only pay for a USED transmission when it was replaced! This company only wants to take the money and RUN!

Overall was a good experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. I do believe after some research that I was overcharged somewhat for the vehicle that I purchased and also by the time I got home I had to get a tire repaired that was low on air pressure when I test drove the truck and I just assumed they did more than just air up the tire. Purchased vehicle on March 3. 5 minutes after driving off lot engine light was on. Took it back immediately they said my gas cap wasn't tight. Took it home, I really like truck ever since then the engine light stays on and "gas cap" light is on now too. It's been serviced 3 times, not to mention it will stall out while in reverse. Just yesterday it started alarming the alarm and doors are locked but all dash lights are on in vehicle plus my radio is playing with truck beeping like crazy, lights flashing, gauges going nuts but my keys are in my hand. The panic button on keychain doesn't stop it and it's not remote start. All electric is going nuts with no keys in ignition.
It happened all night so I had to unplug battery so it wouldn't die. This morning when I plugged battery back in and tried to start truck it wouldn't start. When finally started the gas pedal wouldn't work. They say they can't help me unless I pay the diagnostic fee for it. No, I've done everything I'm supposed to. You sold it to me like this, now you won't help me. Tried to transfer into different vehicle - can't do that without $500. But just 2 months ago you gave\took my car. I got a grand plus I put top more down but you promise to sell vehicles that have been reviewed, drove tested, etc. People nice but still not helping me.

Well, where should I start. Let's just say a month after I purchased my car, I had to take it to the shop. The ac was messed up and my oil was black. Not to mention, my brakes are squeaking and scrubbing. So the inspection that was promised to me wasn't done. Not to mention, I set up payment arrangements on the past due portion on my account through the web portal to automatically be drafted out of my account, got a confirmation number/approval code and woke up and my car was gone. I was told by someone at Drivetime that although the web portal allows you to set up eft drafts, that it does not mean anything. When I called before I set up the payment, I told the representative my plans and I needed her to reset my account, so I an set it up, she said ok, that was fine and she reset my account. I'm very pissed because if you are not going to allow what your web portal says, then why is it an option for customers to set up efts. When the portal gives you confirmation/approval. It makes no sense and am very disappointed.
My state have been declared and emergency state due to the flood, I've been misplaced from my job due to the flood, and have been dealing with serious medical issues and I'm just shocked at the lack of compassion from this company. But I guess they have so many customers that who cares about one. I've always been on time with my payments until now. Then no one tried to notify me that my account was in the the "recovery stages" and the guy that I spoke with was rude. How is it my fault that your companies web portal is not accurate. I've never had to deal with a car company that did not even try to help the customer.

Like the song says... Clap along if your HAPPY and I sure am. As soon as you walk in the door your greeted with a smile and a "How may we help you?", which is great because you feel welcomed. Once you meet your sales rep, it's all about you and what you need. More importantly how they can help you get in a car that you like and CAN afford. It's not like other places that seem like they need to make their quota and try to get you in a car you can't afford. The staff is there to make sure you get a car you like and can afford. There is plenty of options to choose from and if you don't want a car, they don't try to get you to stay and force your hand. I highly recommend DriveTime to 1st time buyers and anyone who is looking to buy a car.

Michelle was awesome. She drove to Glendale to get the car that we wanted and did purchase. She was so friendly and helpful. The experience of signing papers was awful. The Mgr ** was supposed to go through the paperwork. For about an hr, I watched him talking with other customers who were working with someone. At one point he just stood there watching someone else work. He did not even act like he worked there. If not for Michelle we would have walked out. I think you would have more business if not for **.

It is good to go to a place where people are smilling and so willing to help. The salesman, Mr. **, was excellent. He took time with me first to see what car will fit our budget and down payment. Then he took extra time with my husband, driving him around, and listening to him which, believe me, is more than a miracle because my husband will talk, talk and talk forever. Purchased a vehicle from DriveTime in Conyers, Ga. and within a month had to take the vehicle to a shop for a knock in the front end and excessive tire wear. The shop found "excessive rust" under the front end of the vehicle and stated that there was corrosive rust on the frame of the vehicle. I contacted DriveTime who had me take the vehicle to a second shop for another opinion. The second shop called DriveTime and reported that the rust had damaged the sub-frame of the vehicle and that they did not feel comfortable working on the vehicle and that the vehicle was not safe to drive. DriveTime reviewed pictures of the vehicle and stated that it was only surface rust. I then took the vehicle directly to Ford. The Ford mechanics found "Heavy rust on pinch welds (sub-frame) to the point of metal flaking off" and stated "this vehicle should not have ever been sold." So after three shops (including the company that built the vehicle) found significant frame damage because of rust, do you think DriveTime took responsibility for selling an unfit vehicle? Of course not. "Just surface Rust". At this point, I have been stonewalled by DriveTime saying that Customer relations is the highest point of escalation and that there is no one higher for me to talk to.

I did some car hunting on the DriveTime website. I found the car I liked and decided to call for a appointment. When I arrived I was pleased to see the car I liked was waiting for me at the front door. The process was fast and everyone was really nice and made sure I left happy. I had a wonderful experience going to the DriveTime on Cassat Ave in Jacksonville, Florida. Derric and Chris were so much help. The process took under one hour and they made us feel just like family. They made sure my son and daughter were comfortable and had plenty of popcorn to eat. I want to go back and give everyone hugs and hi-5s. The same day we drove off the lot the car broke down and for three days we have tried to figure out what would happen. Customer service has not helped us get back in a car. They just continue to ask for money from us. We had to pay the tow fee and we have not had a car for three days. We keep getting the run around from the dealer and customer service. NO one can answer our question about the car or our money being returned. Also customer service will not help us get a rental while we are out of a car. We are also being asked to pay a return fee of $200 after the car broke down the same day we bought it. The actually sales reps were very friendly but that was the only people who have helped.

I went with my mom to test drive a car through their new lease program. A day prior, they showed my mom and her friend a Kia that she was interested in. Unfortunately, it had a front alignment issue, vibrated over 60 mph, and pulled to the left during braking. Today, I test drove a different car and it was crappy. The car has a rattling noise every time we hit a bump in the road or go over a hump. Then there was the brakes. The salesman said every car has different braking pattern. I said **! The worst thing about this car was the brakes would not engage unless the brake pedal was pressed almost to the floor.
Top top it all off, it pulled to the right, hence another front alignment issue or something wrong with the tires. The tires were funny because the fronts were brand new but the rear looked like it was nearly bald. The person we dealt with was such a smart ** because he tested my knowledge about another car nearby. That car had obvious front end damage and the body work could have been done better by a high school auto shop. After complaining about the car, we went inside to look at another car and unfortunately they left us sitting at a table for 15 minutes. We were fed up and left the dealership. So never go to DT for a used car whatsoever.

So I bought a car and 3 days later I was stuck. It overheated about 40 minutes after warranty place closed. I finally got it back to drivetime to exchange it for a different car and I was shown the most horrible cars on the lot. Then after I said I could put additional money down was shown cars outside my criteria again. The cars I was shown had a cheaper sticker price and 30,000 more miles than the car I initially bought.

DriveTime really was able to get me into a new car even when other dealerships and banks wouldn't finance me. Payments are relatively low based on what you get and I also get a warranty which most used car dealerships don't give.

I went to Drive Time hoping to find a decent car. No such luck but I needed transportation. I was sold a vehicle with a salvage title without my knowledge. The vehicle started having issues within the first week. When I took it to their repair company they said nothing was wrong with it. But when I took it to the dealership they found issues totaling more than what the car was worth! I let it go back.

So I lease a car from the Drivetime in Huntsville, AL. and after the first payment I ran into a little personal problem and called to get an extension or ask if I could make double payments when the next payment due. They didn't help me at all. I called and talked to three different people and still no help. I would not recommend anyone to lease a car from them because if it comes to something serious they will not care. I am so hurt I had to let my car go after only having it one month. I think they should have at least heard me out.

After 1 day the car did not start. When I spoke to the managers about it they were rude and condescending. I returned the car. Had trouble getting my down payment back and still do not know if the automatic withdrawal has been cancelled. Plan on contacting the Attorney General from this state and report it.

Pricing was 2,000 over KBB but expected. Headlight assembly needed to be replaced. Otherwise very satisfied!

I had a good experience with DriveTime. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative with my experience is that it took a very long time. I went in the first time and it took approximately 2 hours to get approved and get into a test drive. I had to make a second trip after picking the car because I forgot my paystubs. After we returned it took another 3.5 hours to get the loan paperwork signed, 2 of which we were just sitting in the waiting room.

I enjoy the fact that I'm able to get a nice car with good coverage. Enjoyed the staff at DriveTime. Wish the process could have been a little faster, but on their behalf, they were busy.
