    I bought a car in Ohio, I have my permanent residence in TN. I told them I have a place in Ohio that I stay one week a month. They put that on all my paperwork when I told them my primary residence is TN. I'm having a hard time getting my car registered in TN because they registered it in Ohio. My temp tags expire prior to being back in Ohio. Now I'm stuck with a car and I can't drive it unless I risk getting fined for an expired tag. It's the worst experience since buying a car I have ever had.

    Man we finance a 2018 Camry for 600 a month. What I'm undertaking the car was wrecked before over spray all over just took to shop 157000 miles. They wanted 3000 for ac. They would not help. Same day they picked up 6 other codes wrong with the car. Don't know what all that is yet. Our warranty isn't done till 169000. Still won't do anything. After saying after a year you could trade it's been 18 month and on time every time. They were very rude in Gaston. Didn't even acknowledge we were there. Honestly racist and didn't want. This is still on going and am working beside with channel 9. We were OK also with losing 10 grand. We already paid and start fresh just to have a car that wasn't a LEMON. Thank you.     I bought a 2016 Hyundai Elantra from Drivetime in February of 2025. The first month and 3/4 were good. Then the problems started. Just before we made our second payment the car stalled on my way home from work. I called Drivetime and they asked me if I bought their extended warranty. Mind you when I bought the car the salesman said I was actually purchasing the car in its last year of extended warranty and that it was transferable. I asked about their extended warranty and the salesman told me that I would have to come up with another $2500.00 as they will not add the extended warranty to the financing which by the way has an extremely high interest rate.

    Well I fixed that issue myself and now I am in month 4 and the car's engine seized and now I have a new paperweight in my driveway that cost my wife and I about $650.00/mo. for the next 8 years. If you decide to buy a car here ask how much time you have to drive it before you can't. This place is crooked, overpriced and unwilling to stand behind their product they are selling. They take advantage of people with low credit scores. AVOID DRIVETIME AT ALL COSTS!!!!

    I tried signing up. Was said I had to go in to take documents for verification. I took them in and said I had to wait 7 days. After the 7 days was said I had to come in again to bring documents for verification when I had done that twice. I stay a hour from the closest Drive Time and having to get a Uber back and forth was not working. I had already been there twice and was asked to come in a third time to do the same thing. I just had my account deactivated. Just too much of a lengthy process for nothing. How many times do you have to verify that you are you? Smmfh! I pass!

    My experience with DriveTime was mediocre at best. At first glance, this company seemed to be all the hype that the commercials suggested, but upon further examination, this company is just a shell company for a financial institution. After they sale you the car, they have no other dealings with you. You have to go online to a contracted warranty company that is paid for by you because of being included in the total purchase price which you are not aware of at the time of sale. They also tack on other things without your knowledge like LoJack, which I had no idea that I was purchasing until reading the fine print on my contract. They show you a video about the products being offered, but offered is the magic word here. They didn’t give me the option to turn it down. They didn’t give me the option of finding my on warranty company. Everything was already in my contract without my knowledge.

    Being that these products would be useful to me in the future, I let it go. However, 3 days after purchasing the vehicle, there were things that needed to be done to the vehicle that were simple things that should have been covered by the warranty that I purchased but was not! They couldn’t even tell me weather the oil had been changed or not. The lights (dims) on the vehicle were almost nonexistent and the brights were dim. So dim that if going down a dark road, you would easily run off the road because of lack of visibility!

    When I called DriveTime about this matter only having the car for 3 days, they gave me the runaround. Now, I read my contract thoroughly and it said that I had 5 days to decide whether I wanted to keep the vehicle or not. Well, my decision would have been based on the service I received from the small problem I was having with the vehicle and how it was handled. Well, these people are smart, my vehicle was in their referred shop for 2 days only to tell me that there was nothing they could do. In the meantime, my 5 days to return the car is over! 1 day over the 5th day.

    When I asked them what would be the procedure then for returning the car if I didn’t want it. Their response was that I could do a voluntary return and would not be able to get my down payment back! How unfair that is. I bought that vehicle in good faith that I would be treated with the utmost respect, but instead. I was cheated out of my money, my rights, and my dignity for allowing me to believe in a company that was too good to be true. Remember people, when you see those commercials about what you see is the price you pay, don’t believe the hype unless you’re really desperate for a car and don’t care about your car or your money!

    Do not buy from buy from this shit hole dump dealership. Brought a 2018 Chevy Equinox transmission slipping and they expect me to pay for a 20k truck. Not happening. They knew This. I told them the truck not driving right so now I have to drive in a truck with issues and I wouldn’t put it past. It was a flooded truck. Drive time sucks. Go somewhere else. They had to pay over $8 million dollars in harassment and reporting incorrect balances.

    My experience went great while in the office. Test drive went well. Was told, "See you in 10 mins.," and test drive went fine. However by the time I got home (and came straight home from dealership) 29 miles I had lost 3 hubcaps and my check engine light came on. It’s only a 3 cylinder so I stayed in right lane most of time. I need this resolved please. Just went to take pictures of hubcaps missing and now it’s all 4. I work 2.25 miles from home in a 25mph zone. Not foolish driving here.

    The day I purchased the vehicle my engine light came on. I have taken it to the repair shop that SilverRock recommended and the issue was not fixed. I was finally sent to dealership and now I have to pay out of pocket for a diagnostic as Silver Rock cannot guarantee they will pay for the Service. No one should have to deal with this after just buying a vehicle. I have wasted too much time and money trying to fix a vehicle I just purchased. I'm a very unhappy customer.

    Well, they are very nice people and do whatever it takes to make a deal, HOWEVER, they do this regardless of interest rates, slowed our payments, but what bothered me the most is they will tell you, no matter what they make sure the vehicle is right to start out. Couldn't be a bigger lie. We bought a car and immediately I had to change all brake rotors and brakes. This was a major inconvenience when leaving on vacation the week we purchased. Not trustworthy, I'm what is told to a customer. Very deceitful!!

    Drivetime sells and finances under Bridgecrest, and sells warranties under SilverRock. All three companies fall under the same umbrella. So, buy a bad car, bad warranty, and bad auto loan all with the same place. Threats under the same umbrella, with no resolutions. Past 7 months, no car as in for warranty repair, paid all payments during 7 months, still no car, no resolution, and now, no end in sight. Credit threatened, employees all taught to lie and threaten as well. Do not do it. My regret runs so deep.

    I bought a vehicle there 2 and a half years ago. The staff were nice and polite, but make sure you understand that you will be paying a lot of money for several years for a car that is far from worth it. The interest rate will be very high. Like many of the reviews say, it was very easy to purchase a vehicle. The fact that is so easy will most definitely keep you from focusing on how long it will take to pay this vehicle. If you cannot pay extra each month to pay down the note, I suggest you look elsewhere or you will be upside down in this vehicle for quite some time.

    My husband and I purchased a Jeep Cherokee latitude May 19, 2025. Drive it one day and the next day the engine light came on. Mind you, I am at this time out of town and my husband take it to Pep Boys and they said return the car but we have to wait for me to return (another story). When I return and we return the car May 27, and now we get a Hyundai Santa Fe sport nice. My husband drives it to work on the way home, it overheats now back to Pep Boys. They fix the car so we go on with the week, only for the 7 days to past and here we are June 6 and the engine light is on. Thank God for the 30-day dealership warranty and the extended warranty. With that being said, I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM DRIVETIME. THEY are a big company selling lemons 🍋. WORST experience ever. I don't recommend DRIVETIME. They need to take the commercial off TV.😡🤬

    The car had a bad battery. They switch with another car's battery and we have had it 9 months and nothing but mechanical problems a whole lot of tape use to rig things up under the hood.     I wouldn’t recommend DriveTime to anyone who wants a reliable car. Didn’t have my car a year, gave me nothing but trouble. First transmission went out, oil leaks everywhere, even in turbo line. The price I need to fix the car was more than how much I owe on the car. They wouldn’t let me trade in cause not had it a year. Their warranty they sold me paid for new transmission just to get back and pouring transmission fluid out of it SilverRock nor the shop would take responsibility in fixing it.

    Website financial app approved me for all cars down payment started at $295. The car 🚗 chose said $395 down and $361 a month. I get to the dealership test drive it and was excited to buy my first car. Next thing you in w the down payment was $945 and my payments were over $450 a month. I was it was because I didn't put in the correct income. So I'm forced to get a car that I don't want because I needed a car that day and i had the down payment. I drive off and went to a car wash and the trim on top of the car came 3/4 of the way off on both sides.

    The next morning at 3am I'm driving from Clearwater to Bradenton for work and the plastic engine guard fell down and was dragging on the tires and ground. I stopped and tried putting it back in place. It fell again and again. I forced my t into a place where the car could be driven. My tire low pressure light came on and I noticed 3 tires had bubbles in them. The next day I go to work. And when I go to leave there's a code 95 and my odometer tach and all gauges aren't working. My traction control light and airbag light and low tire pressure light are on. The car now shifts in a manner it should not be...back to back to back. My guess would be it is shifting around 2 rpms each time.

    The car check states the car has not been in an accident yet it's clear as day that it has been, over spray, the price label on the plastic wheel well cover that fell off and the different size gap between the hood and fender on back the sides of the car. The code 95 the s the airbag and states an accident happened as part of that code. So not I'm paying the price of a car that's has not been in a wreck which value is much higher than one that has been. The car was already $4 Grand over the black book dealer resale price so now I'm buying the car at double what it's worth at 26 Percent interest. This stuff is flat out bait and switch and deceptive practices. I doubt there was an inspection of this vehicle. Because if there were they would have known it's been wrecked unless they overlooked the plain as day evidence it was.

The only issue I had with my experience was the fact that I drove from East Dallas to Corpus Christi to purchase my vehicle and the inside of the car was dirty and dusty like it had been sitting up for quite some time and no one detailed the inside of it. So when I went to lock my door or roll down the window filth was on my hands.

    My husband and I had to thoroughly clean the inside of the car when we returned home. When purchasing a vehicle people want to feel special like your business means something. We asked if the car would be detailed and it was brought back out to us dirty on the inside and wiped down on the outside. Also, I understand there is a policy that must be followed but we drove over 6 hours and only was offered 1/2 a tank of gas. There should be an exception for customers traveling to pick up a vehicle.     Drivetime on Shadeland are the most inconsiderate car dealers in ever visit, finance and car received it and drove around and on third day the whole transmission went out, no, they will not give me my money back and no, they will not give a loaner car and no, they do not care if you have to work or not because it's out of their hands but you have to go through Silver Rock to help with a rental car.     Purchased the car two months ago from drive time love the car Chevy equinox but after driving it for two months to and from work to Church and back home, the engine light came on, so of course I took it to their mechanic to find out that it’s the Cadillac converter, I don’t know if that’s how you spell it or pronounce it and I have an oil leak and the brake pads and rotors are bad on this vehicle so I feel that they should have these things pics because it’s only been two months. There’s no reason that this car should be falling apart within two months of me purchasing it. I’ve only already made two payments on time.

    I’ve actually paid off a car through Drivetime. I’ve always been a very good customer. I’ve even have sent my friends to drive time, but after dealing with their customer relations, and for them to tell me that they are not gonna cover for the brakes or the rotors and possibly not the Cadillac converter it really kind of troubles me because I thought they were better than that when selling cars. Never had any problems with the last car that I had until a year after and it was of wear and tear so I’m just letting people know. Buyer's remorse. Beware and check everything. Take it to their mechanics and take it to your own mechanic and have it checked before you purchase anything from drivetime.

    I didn't even have this Ford Escape 24 hrs and I had to have it towed. Turbo went out. This was from Beechmont location. Thousands of dollars to fix it. Before that I bought one from Fairfield. I text drove the one from Fairfield and check engine light came on. They said they fixed it but didn't. Two cars within my 5 day period.     They kept the Escape the first day cause it had a light staying on and they got it fixed and said they would call me they didn't call till after 2:0 and said it can be picked up, My daughter and her husband took me up there to get the escape it took them over 3 hours to get the paperwork Redone and completed. They didn't do an inspection and I tell you I know this because there was NO JACK. They didn't even clean the vehicle. So today I go up there and they put a Jack from another type of vehicle, just laid it in the back, said, "Well it will work if you need it." I said I want the correct Jack for the Escape so they sent me and HAD ME GO TO THE OFFICE around back side of building to have them order the correct one. I get home and was cleaning inside the vehicle and found DOG BARTH in the storage on back of Driver's seat. I was TICKED AND I STILL AM.

    This is so uncalled for. Now you tell me how are you gonna compensate me for doing your employees job???? This needs to be turned in to BBB and I'm just the person to do that after this. Also your employee Cameron ** was so arrogant and got an attitude when I told him the papers were wrong and I wasn't signing them till they were fixed. He took his damn sweet time about it. And the assistant manager was there and he didn't give a rat's behind either. Now I expect to be compensated for all this trouble, I didn't deserve any of this and dog puke in a vechicle, no jack employees with attitudes. No I don't tolerate this kind of treatment.

    The person that sold us the auto was very good. There was 1 hiccup and no one seemed to be able to answer it. I am a 100% disabled vet and the DMV told me that I did not have to pay all of it, especially since I already had a DV tag in my possession for the auto. The associate asked several people and they said I would get a credit from the DMV. On another auto purchase the DMV told me NOT TO PAY this. I don’t think the DMV will credit me something I have paid to someone else. Drive time needs to have a better understanding of how to deal with this issue in my opinion.

    Hello. I purchased a vehicle and put $1,200 down as well as 300 for the insurance on the day that I drove the car off the lot .. Within 4 days I was experiencing issues with the vehicle and scheduled a service under the warranty. However the referred mechanic shops were not able to service Mercedes-Benz so I was not able to have my vehicle serviced at the time .. Within two days after that the engine completely blew. I have now been without a vehicle for over 3 weeks and I have an insurance payment coming up as well as a car payment coming up but still no vehicle. This is horrible service.. I just want to say thank you very much for the stress, waste of money, waste of my time and ultimately a bad experience.

    I bought 2 cars from Drive Time aka Bridge Crest - The first one stayed in the shop, had a bad transmission- and was totaled, Drive time was so greedy my insurance company told me if I buy another car from them I would have to seek different insurance. The 2nd car stayed in the shop so much I eventually bought another car and told them to come pick their crap up, that was 2015. Now they are still trying to ruin my credit 10 years later! This predatory lack of respect for their customers and business ethics in general. Companies that operate like this should be closed permanently!

    Well to start my husband and I were newly married, active in the army, no credit and just starting out. We seen a commercial for drive time we thought oh this sounds good. We could possibly get a vehicle went there. People were super nice. Talked us into what we should get and how it would work with our monthly paychecks and everything else. Remember, we’re new to all this so not understanding what we are really getting ourselves into in the end. Our vehicle is a 2017 we pay over $600 a month. We cannot trade it in. We cannot sell it and I feel like we will never pay it off because of whatever they had to do to help us get this vehicle that we should’ve never gotten. The car now has problems. We’re not close to paying it off so in my opinion, just don’t do it. It’s not worth it.

    Very long and disappointing experience. Was also told I would receive a significantly lower deposit quote after linking my bank account to Plaid. Which turned out not to be the case. They did not offer to rectify the issue. Which was very upsetting and disappointing. The salesperson says he emailed his boss about it. Still nothing was offered to make me happy with my purchase. It just seemed a little iffy how the deposit quote dropped on all of the other vehicles significantly except for the one I wanted to buy.

    Car didn't even make it home before the trim started falling off, took it back to get charged $1 per mile, and having to wait on a check in the mail for my down payment to be returned. Lost thousands on this and didn't even have anything to show for it. Missed a day of work to trailer the vehicle back renting a Uhaul for them not honor their warranty. Terrible experience, will never go back!

    Worst place to get a car. Exuberant interest rates. Use this location as a last resort if you have a low credit rating. You will be Upside down with their loan if you intend to trade the car and get another one from another deal.
