Would have been 5 stars but we weren't really explained in the beginning by the first salesperson what the step by step process was. Lessons salesperson Windy we loved. She was very helpful and stayed after closing hours to get us into our vehicle that night.

The staff at DriveTime were friendly. Darrell was a good salesman, but they did act like I was there to scam somebody or steal something. I would've expected to have gotten a better deal than what I got. I paid on that car for 4 yrs. I only got half of what I owed. I think the least DriveTime could've done was trade with more like the 200.00 down instead of 900.00, but I got the vehicle traded out.

I just have to say the lovely Shiranda ** at the North Little Arkansas location is a joy! She was incredibly helpful! I didn't have a lot down and was in a slight bind but she got me in a wonderful SUV in less than 3 hrs!!!

Bryan was immediately friendly, welcoming and easy to work with. Micah kept a great deal of professionalism whilst creating a fun atmosphere. Woody, regardless of the late hour, failing software, and stress of waiting customers kept a positive attitude and a fun demeanor. The staff worked well together to make my experience as easy, fun and comfortable as possible. Even made sure I had the vehicle I wanted by going and getting it from a different store. My girlfriend and I both were very impressed and will recommend to a friend. The staff proved customer service wasn't dead, and in this day and age it's a relief that your corporation retains that value.

I arrived at DriveTime and was prompted greeted and my online approval was quickly pulled up. I had several vehicles in mind and wanted to test drive each one to make sure I got the right car for me. I was not pressured into picking one. It was clearly stated that the cheaper vehicles will get the lower down payments. Each vehicle I test drove was clean, interiors were in great shape. After picking the car I wanted I was given the car history report, open recall report, was given a walk around with the car before departing.
The car had no malfunctioning parts that needed to be addressed, brand new Michelin tires were installed prior to being put on the lot. The contract and its terms were clearly explained to me and was given an opportunity to put more money down to reduce the interest rate, but was not required to. Anyone that claims they got ripped off, remember you came to DriveTime to buy a car when you credit was poor, so expecting a loan under 15% is unrealistic.
Overall I would say my expectations were exceeded because I thought I would only get a rust bucket and would need to replace a bunch of worn out items. I test drove a car that had 97k miles and 102k. Both had clean interiors, seats were in good condition and had no burn holes, tears, or stains. At least the location I visited has good condition cars.

After visiting multiple car dealerships which I wasn't impressed with at all, very bad customer experience. I decided to go to DriveTime McAllen and they really were willing to help me, a first time buyer get what I wanted. They ran my information, showed me vehicles in my price range, and I didn't really seem interested. One major key that made me realize this dealership was the one, was that they went above and beyond to get me what I wanted. They went to Corpus to pick up a vehicle in which I loved. They brought it that afternoon and got me all set up. Thanks so much to Edwin!

Walking out of a dealership without a key is always the first thing on your mind walking into the dealership. DriveTime from the first phone call was so assuring and friendly it was like feeling the smile over the phone. When I got to the dealership they made me and my kids feel at home. From the fresh popcorn for the kids and the staff on site willing to do whatever it takes to make sure you're satisfied. Thank you for my used car that has all the new car warranty plus more. If you're not driving out of a DriveTime dealership you might want to drive into one.

Had the pleasure of working with Jordan at the Schaumburg Il location - she was knowledgeable, professional and answered all my questions. I was in a time crunch and she ensured I made my next appointment but, not before I purchased a 2012 Chevy Cruze. I was so happy to get credit having had a less than stellar credit rating from falling behind on bills after my wife passed away from cancer. Driving a 2002 last leg car an hour to work one way was becoming quite nerve racking and was the thing I needed most at the time -- a car -- now I have a GREAT, BEAUTIFUL, RELIABLE car and my tension is gone and it's been replaced by joy! I am so happy I saw the crazy commercial and decided to stop in. Best decision ever! Thanks again DRIVETIME and Jordan -- I am telling everybody I know -- now if I win a tablet I will email everyone as well!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of purchasing a truck from DriveTime with Sudan **'s help. He was wonderful with which to work! Maurice and the rest of the staff were very helpful. We had purchased a car on 3/9 and decided we wanted the other choice instead on 3/11. While we were waiting for our down payment to be backed out of system to put on new loan the vehicle got sold. There should be a way to hold vehicles if we already gave down payment. Other than that it was a good experience.

I was in the process of car shopping and my boss was assisting me as well. He stop into DriveTime on PARKWAY EAST and talked to a salesperson by the name of BRITTANY. He left my number with Brittany and in that same day she gave me a call and asked if I could come in. I told her "yes." When I got to DriveTime I walked in, met with Brittany, who was awesome from the start. She got me 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe with affordable payments and also set up my payment choice from my phone which I wasn't familiar with and made it all very easy. I had only own the car 2 days before routine problems started popping up. For ex. rattle when air is on, then rotator and brakes and check engine lights come on. But what got me frustrated was when they changed out rotator and not the brake pads to match. Things like routine problems should not be occurring within 30 days of purchase and not be covered if not mechanical. Those should be maintained at the dealership until purchase. It's just the upkeep of the inventory you have on the lot that's all. I have never purchased a vehicle and repairs occurred within a time limit was not covered. The dealers did their best to accommodate the customers unlike DriveTime. Very disappointed with this purchase because routine problems should not be occurring and not be covered.

I've tried to make a payment using their free auto pay on the website over and over. Every time I get an email three days later saying it was declined for nsf. The money is in my account and there is absolutely no reason for this. They charge me a $15 fee every time. I'm using the exact same payment method I have used since the beginning. They are doing this on purpose and I'm seriously thinking of letting them take their car back and filing bankruptcy. I bought the car out of necessity but it's ruining my life now and I really regret it.
The car was $13k but the blue book was $9k and after financing it came to $31k. I'm paying 25% interest on a 6 year loan. The loan will likely outlast the car and the payments are $422 a month. The only other option to make payments is using Western Union and they are just as bad about not processing your payments and you have to pay a fee. If I try to use the free pay by text option it doesn't work. I'm so aggravated. This should be a crime but unfortunately the laws in GA don't protect us. Maybe someday they will but until then stay away from this place. You WILL regret it.

Let me tell you this. The customer service at DriveTime is outstanding. They welcome you as soon as you walk in the door. They was wonderful. They let me walk the lot looking at the cars they had and didn't rush out like the other car dealers do and I love that they gave me my space and time to look at the cars. When I was ready I walk in and someone was there to help me. I didn't wait long and the welcome they gave me and the outstanding customer services they gave me. I purchase a 2008 Pontiac back in December 23. On the 24th I called DriveTime letting them know that my service engine light had turned on. They told me I had to call the warranty department so I did, but it was closed because for holidays then I had to wait. It was a weekend. Long story short till today I still haven't been able to get my car fix. If it's one thing it's another. They took my case to customer relations. I really don't know even why because all they say is we will keep on paying for the service but then yet again I still have to pay a ** deductible of 100$ when I still have to pay for the payment on top of it.
My car has been already on the shop for 3 weeks and the mechanic said that he doesn't even know what is still wrong because if it's not one thing it's another! I just had enough of it already. Oh yeah and I still give my payment on time even though I'm overpaying for this car 'cause on the blue book it's worth 4500.00 gonna be paying overall. It's 3 times that amount. I mean it's stupid. I mean I purchase this car to make my life easier not harder! I mean I been without a car for some time already. It's been nothing but inconvenience since purchased this car and it putting me in a bad financial situation.

This south county location was excellent. I leased my car. Took a total of 2 hours from walk-in and I was driving. Car needed a few repairs and they got it done in a timely manner. Came in on 3-14-2016 and spoke with Jennifer **. She was by far the most courteous sales person I have ever met. She wasn't pushy to get a sale. She listened to what you wanted in a vehicle, showed you options based on what you were looking for and let you do all the choosing. After the sale I sat down with Matthew ** many to go over the terms and finalize the paperwork. He did a fantastic job in thoroughly explaining EVERY aspect of the paperwork and answered any of my questions. I will HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend DriveTime to anybody I know looking for a car! Well, my review is quite different from the others. First of all, yes, they approve you even if your credit isn't great - but they DO require something down. I had to come up with $300. Better than $3,000. Ok, so they charge me $244 a payday every two weeks for this car. The car is basic. No OnStar, No BlueTooth, can't even let the back seat down. When you turn the air/heater/defroster on radio stops working... I am not a happy camper. I couldn't return it and have to wait a year to trade it in. I didn't notice these things until my 5 days were up to return it (their policy). Well, the warranty is up after 1,500 miles. I drive 120 miles daily to work so that went fast. I won't be back after I am done with them. They tell me at the store I got it from that I could go monthly payments after 6 months and CS tells me "Nope, you can never go monthly." They need to be re-trained. They want $34,000 for a basic car?

For years I have been trying to get a decent car. I was always turned down because of my credit. I had the money to get it but was always turned down. I went online and started looking at DriveTime. I had heard of them but I thought that them looking at your income instead of credit score was a lie (like most companies do anyway). I went in and was going to talk to Shane about my possibilities, just to see if this was legit. He was busy but he did get me talk to another gentleman. Justin was really helpful. He told me about the different programs they offer. I was able to put down money that day on a 2013 Kia Rio! It was not much of a down payment either. Plus it was a no hassle. I love my car and I love that someone finally gave me a chance instead of having to go look at the typical run down used cars.

Barron and Curt made my truck purchase a pleasant and comfortable experience. Curt wasted no time getting my truck brought to their location and he and Barron were very patient and helpful with my insurance company. Matt went the extra mile and sent my insurance company a copy of my drivers license after I had already made purchase and left location for couple hours. I would rate them and their location the highest rating possible.

I was pleased with my experience. Emily was great via email and over the phone. All the detail information was able to be taken over the phone which somewhat sped up the process. My car had to be transported from Raleigh, which they did with no hesitation and my car was on the lot the next day. Once I arrived, Emily got right to it and started helping me. One minor bump in the road, but other than that, I was very pleased. It did take longer than expected after I had already given all the information over the phone as I was at work while doing all the information exchanging, but it was because of the slight bump that it took a little longer. Overall, my experience with DriveTime and Emily was very good! Interest rate was pretty high, but I'm almost positive it's because of my credit, which I was still able to get in a car with no issues, no co-signer, no hassle! I would recommend other to come to DriveTime if you have credit issues!

I walked into the car lot, just knowing that I could never come out of there with a car. I have very poor credit and I have only been at my job for 6 months. But I needed a car bad, so I thought I would try DriveTime, but not getting my hopes up. I was extremely pleased with my entire experience. The salesmen are not pushy at all and really considered what I wanted. HE didn't show me any vehicles that I couldn't afford and there was still plenty in my range. I was approved and left in my own car with only 400 down and NO cosigner! I would recommend this place to Everyone! It was a wonderful experience and I LOVE my new car!!

Purchased a 2010 Ford Explorer on February 10, 2016 with DriveTime. The next day the driver's side tire sensor fell off inside the tire, the wind started coming through the window sealing... Told them about it. Nothing was done. 27 days later the truck starts running hot and the A/C fan needs replacing and the thermostat housing as well and I have to be responsible for the 100.00 deductible even though this repair had nothing to do with me. A repair that should've only took a few hours has turned into 3 days later, because DriveTime is giving the repair shop the run around. In the end no one can tell me when I'm going to get the vehicle back. I WOULDN'T REFER OR RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO NO ONE. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS ESPECIALLY TO WOMEN.

I want to first apologize for the mechanical issues that took place so soon after purchase. All DriveTime vehicles are fully inspected prior to sale at our DriveTime Inspection Centers, as we want to ensure all vehicles we make available to our customers are safe to operate. I understand it is frustrating having to pay a $100.00 deductible for covered repairs. However, whenever a customer is outside of the 30 day/1500 mile limited warranty, they become responsible for the deductible or diagnostic fee, which ever applies. Typically, it can take up to 24-48 hours for DriveTime to review a claim for an exception, which can cause a delay for the repairs being completed. I apologize for any and all frustrations this matter may have caused.

We went to the DriveTime in Chattanooga. Mallory was our sales lady. She was great and really knowledgeable of the Ford Fusion we got. We asked about recalls and there were none. We were in and out in about 3 hours due to the hold up with our insurance. Very easy to deal with. Processes were fully explained. They've gotten a negative rap from people but I never saw those issues. It went way better than I could have imagined. I've been unemployed for a month and a half. They have been very nice to work with me and my situation... I give them 5 stars for the nice people I've worked with like Derrick. He is amazing, he is very nice. But with other people when I set a pay arrangement to give them a payment they always get my arrangement wrong. I get a text stating the wrong amount of money or the wrong date. I would call and then they would say I'm in the wrong when no because I write the amount that's due on my calendar in my phone and my planner in my purse. But now that I got a job hopefully I can bring my account current quickly...
Yesterday I got a text stating the wrong amount so I called and changed it... but I just got off the phone with a woman because I needed to change the amount (the very first time I EVER want back on my word, because I didn't get paid what I thought I was going to get paid because I didn't work a full week). She is telling me the amount I want to pay won't do anything to my account. I explain that this is why I have a problem with their customer service department... Everyone is on 50 different pages. Some people say it's ok to pay less than $100 and others are dicks about it... Her speaker was muffled and I could hardly understand her half the time. She goes on and on and the parts I understood she just kept repeating herself... then at the end of the conversation she then said the amount I wanted to pay will be fine?
I am trying my damn hardest to give them any kind of money and some collectors are nice about it and appreciate that I'm making an effort and others are rude. A few weeks ago one guy told me not to call back until I have my financial situation situated. The customer service sucks so bad half the time I'm about ready to let my car get taken away and not even make the effort, because I don't even know how they handle things anymore. I've talked to management and things have not changed. I feel like they have gotten worse.
Also a few months ago one rep told me I had a $400 credit on my account because a few friends got their car there. So I took off my auto pay cause I figured I could save money (this was wayyyyy before I lost my job)... then I got a call 2 weeks later saying I'm past due because I was given wrong info. I'm so annoyed with these people and I'm not going to blame the employees. I'm going to blame the people who train the employees. I've worked in collections and yes you have to be firm but you can't be rude. You also need to consider their situation and if they are giving you something to make their situation with their account better you need to respect that. Everyone in the store is amazing as well by the way.

After an absolutely horrible experience with Frank **, I was referred to DriveTime by a coworker. My experience was wonderful. The process was hassle free. I bought a 2005 Town & Country from DriveTime in 2013 and I have nothing but a great experience with them. Customer service has been wonderful. Going back to them again and from now on. The only thing I don't like is the warranty from Aeverex. Aeverex will do anything to not pay for repairs but thankfully I have only had to use it once. I will be a DriveTime customer for as long as I continue to own vehicles.

The only reason I couldn't give five stars was the length of time it took to finish the sale. It took 4.5 from start to finish, granted much of the delay was due to the computer systems not the employees. This is how car sales should be conducted everywhere & every time. There were no bait & switch, fake inventory or 'sorry just sold the one you were here for' games. The entire team were courteous, friendly and honest. I appreciated straightforward numbers and choices. Again no games just brass tacks down to business. I will recommend everyone I know that may be in the market to DriveTime Mesa regardless of the referral program. All new to me but was very enlighten. After applying and receiving approval to buy an automobile from Drivetime, I was contacted by a representative from the Pershall office. Me and my husband went out to check out their fleet of vehicles, was impressed with the fleet and decided to take a contract on the 2013 Ford Fusion. The proceeding was handled expedient and professional and explained to us, we signed all the papers, was congratulated and left with the Ford Fusion.

I arrive at the dealership with everything ready, about 0845 on Thursday March 3, 2016. The general salesman arrive and said, "Let me open the dealership and I will be right out." So after wandering around the lot I decide that 30 minutes should be enough time to open up the dealership and we went in at or about 0930. At or about 0945 we were introduced to Christopher ** our salesperson who was just professional throughout. Now I came prepare banks statements, references, bank account numbers and my sister to keep my temper in check. Well Christopher told me that with my down payment he might not be able to get what I want.
Now here comes the general sales manager who had already left me wandering his parking lot for thirty minutes for his two cents. I was not wanting to hear from him when he could not even take the time to make me feel welcome to his dealership. Finally Chris came back and gave me what I want not a car my credit score says I can have but a choice on what my down payment will allow, and I choose to take the red 2012 Hyundai Sonata. One problem Chris says we have to go and get it, but Chris suggested that we go along and give it a good test drive. Ok my sister, me and Edgar drive nearly an hour to get a car and when we show up the passenger side tire rear is flat, not good, fill the tire up and proceeded back to Garland, TX - another hour back.
Now as I am driving I notice that my car wanted to do the Detroit lean not good. We arrive at the dealership and Chris was with a customer but stop as soon as we enter the dealership. I explain to him that I like the car BUT it needs an alignment. The passenger door does not open or close without a great deal of assistance. The key fob battery is dead, and here comes the general manager and after I insisted that at least the alignment get fix he can sell me the car. Well finally it was time to sign the papers and needless to say after nearly 9 hours yes we finally left at or about 1830 (630 pm). At no time was we offer anything as far as a drink of water, lunch or anything to make us feel welcome. Will I recommend this particular dealership? Probably not but will I recommend the salesperson? Absolutely.
I went and got a stack of his business cards. On Tuesday, March 08 I went back and got some. I was hoping that I would be welcome into the DriveTime family, and believe me there is no one out there that wants to pay 19% interest on a car and we are a little embarrass about our credit or we had some unfortunate thing come up. When we come into the dealership I am hoping that we are treated with a little kindness, a little heart-warming welcome and not just a sales number today.
As far as my 2012 Hyundai Sonata now that alignment is done, and after taking it to Pep Boys, after 3 jump start to replace the battery, replace the windshield wipers, take the 2 nails out of the tire, I maybe ready to enjoy this 5 year investment but I do not know because of the 3 pending recalls on it and me constantly finding something else is wrong with the car, like the seats are coming apart at the seams, the dashboard lens is broke and it fell out (looks like some just stuck it back without fixing) and I still have to fix the passenger door. On a closing note I would welcome all DriveTime general sales managers to engage with the buyers more and treat them more of person than someone that is down on their luck. A lot us understand that this is our last chance, we just wanted to be treated like part of the family. We want to be able to come back and get another car from DriveTime.

Great service. From the moment we walked in were welcomed with a smile. The car we liked was not in their lot so Robert had Felix drive to Tampa to pick it up the next day. As soon as it arrived Robert notified us and had Denise finish up with when we arrived. I will definitely recommend this branch again and again.

Eric and Ivar were very helpful. They worked with urgency, knowing how I was in such a hurry the day I came in. They were upfront and honest with all the information I requested for. Though I am what you would call someone with a challenged credit, they still treated me with respect and never judged my credit situation. They treated me like a real customer shopping for a vehicle and not someone who is an irresponsible person due to my bad credit. I knew exactly what I am contracting for.
I switch cars every two years and by far - this has been the best car buying experience I have ever had experienced. For the last 3 auto purchase, I had been very loyal to Findlay Honda. Due to a bad experience, I decided to switch over to DriveTime. I didn't know how the experience would be and based it on the TV commercial. Well, I am thankful for making that decision.

We live 2 1/2 hours from the location where we purchased a 2012 Ford Focus SEL. Unfortunately it pulled to the left. We were able to take it to a local repair shop because there was not an in-network one near us. The mechanic would not be able to put it on a lift for a couple of days because they were extremely backed up. We ended up returning to the service center at DriveTime where they found damage to the frame of the car. We exchanged the vehicle with no hassles from the sales department. Other than the time involved it was a good experience. Brenda, Keith and Josh all gave excellent customer service. Keith gave us donuts because we hadn't eaten and Brenda called the next day to check in with us. I would consider that going above and beyond expectations. So far our 2012 Ford Fusion SE is great. Thank you guys!

I had a very pleasant experience at DriveTime. I didn't think my husband and I would be approved for a car loan because we already had bad credit and a recent repo. We got approved on the spot and the whole process only took about 2 1/2 hours. We were in and out pretty quickly. There was no pressure to leave there with a car that wasn't absolutely perfect for us.

My wife and I purchased a 2013 Ford Focus from DriveTime in Columbus, GA and the best part of buying the SUV was dealing with the sales staff. They were funny, informative, and very professional. Not only will I recommend DriveTime but our next car/SUV will come from there as well. Adrian and Benjamin are the two best car salespersons on earth!!!

The personnel were outstanding!! If questions were a detailed explanation was given. Alternate options were given if conditions were not comfortable or affordable. Computer problems beyond the control of anyone were related to customers in a timely manner.

I walked around and looked at the SUVs, I seen one that I liked. No one was out on the yard. On my way to the car of my friend we said that since no one came out and I wanted to drive the SUV I will go in. I went in to see can I drive the SUV. Everything went great and I am very happy.

Purchasing a car from DriveTime was time consuming but wasn't much of a hassle. Jim ** was very attentive, helpful and determined as well as entertaining and went above and beyond when it came to keeping my 7 year old sister quiet and entertained. I do recommend those with poor credit to purchase from DriveTime to help kick start their credit improvement.

I am very satisfied with how DriveTime treated me and took care of my needs. I had an issue with a vehicle and they made sure that I got a better vehicle and was very happy with the new vehicle. The salesperson was very helpful and I don't think I was an easy sell. I couldn't decide what I wanted and he got different cars from other lots to satisfy my needs.

The car I wanted upon arrival had a flat tire. I was told that it was just low and had been sitting. After three days of driving the car I had to replace it. I almost missed work because of it. I got over thirty calls at inappropriate times and explained to them I was at work and still was interrupted while at work the same day. I was told to come to the dealership over an hour away with my offer letter and told that would suffice for income verification. Upon arrival nobody greeted me. I had to find someone to help and then after over two hours was told I could not use my offer letter for verification and had to return for a second time to finish the deal.
Also because of this incident I was in traffic for 2 hours I only got 30 minutes of sleep which my dealer was aware of and still had to return the next day. Also they failed to set up my auto pay. Needless to say I had 3 people that were interested in going through DriveTime but after seeing the hassle I went through they have decided not to use DriveTime.

Don't go dancing with the short guy and his dog, they don't really want to sell you a vehicle. Stick with DriveTime, on Mechanicsville Turnpike and ask for Emily and/or Robert. They helped us out, showed us several different vehicles for which we qualified and that were comfortable, dependable, and affordable. We took one home that same day!
