We knew, in theory, what we wanted, but were surprised we found it so quickly on the lot. The sales staff was friendly and efficient. We love our vehicle from DriveTime.

I was without a car since November 2015 so I decided to give DriveTime a shot. In March 2016, my son and I went to DriveTime in Aurora, IL and we were greeted by a salesman named Greg **. Greg took us over to his desk to start my application so I could see if I was approved. As it turns out I was and I had the opportunity to look at and test drive a couple cars. I absolutely fell in love with a 2013 Ford Focus but I did not have all the money for the down payment. Greg spoke to his manager Joshua (Bryce) ** and we were able to work out a layaway plan. Greg and Bryce were always in touch with me to how things were going which I thought was great!
On April 23, 2016 I completed my purchase and was able to take my car home. The process was so easy and I was not made to look bad because of my less than perfect credit. My son and I were treated so fairly from start to finish. I would love to give a special thank you to Greg and Bryce for making this possible. Greg and Bryce ROCK!!! I would most definitely recommend DriveTime.

I have been to many of dealerships and never have I felt so good about my car purchase. I didn't feel rushed and my car saleswoman Arlene ** made sure I left with a vehicle that I really wanted and could afford!!! She went out of her way to find the car I fell in love with. My husband and I were greeted by Luke in Ocala Drivetime... he was so friendly and very informational. We weren't sure on what we wanted but he was so patient with us in helping look through vehicles on the computer. We were there for hours. We also learned about Gap and drive train insurance. We felt right at home... We didn't feel pressured or uncomfortable. The staff at the Ocala Drivetime are all so friendly. So, we narrowed down our vehicle and couldn't be any happier. I wanted to purchase a car because my previous car which a 1997 Ford Explorer gave up the ghost on me when I was on my way home on a Tuesday morning from work. I missed a day of work because I had no way to get there so I went car shopping. DriveTime was second place I went because the first place didn't treat me so well. Thankful I walked into the Morrow facility and was helped by Devin ** who walked me through the process and drive away in my 2013 Chevy Malibu. Thanks DriveTime for great customer service.

I live in Wylie where we got the severe Hailstorm and the car that I purchased four months ago got totaled from the storm. Once the Insurance and Gap Insurance took care of the loan, DriveTime called me and said come and get another car. It was the best stress-free experience receiving another car with no down payment. I just want to give a BIG S/O to Reginald **. He helped me purchase my first car. I had intentions on coming and leaving with a car and that's exactly what I did. I told him exactly what I wanted and he got me that. He was the best. HANDS DOWN! He was nothing but honest with me and willing to go whichever route I was willing to take. I really had a wonderful experience at DriveTime. All of the staff greeted me when I first came in. Mrs. Beverly ** did everything that she could do to make sure that all of my documents was ready to be signed by the time I got off of work. I have now purchased 2 cars from Yolanda at DriveTime Plano and I don't think I would ever go anywhere else to purchase my cars again. There is zero hassle and it was so quick. Yolanda worked late just to drive to another location to get me the car I wanted from another DriveTime. My first car was a totaled loss after a really bad hail storm. Mark at DriveTime gave me great advice on how to quickly get me in a new car and he followed up with me through the whole process. The GAP coverage is a life saver. And I was in my new car faster than I could ever hope for.

I never meet so many friendly and family oriented people at a car dealership before until I went to DriveTime. I started on the computer and from there it started with Salesman Darius. But when I arrived he wasn't present so supervisor Cameron introduced me to Salesman Ross who did an excellent job making sure we were satisfied customers and he didn't give up until we were able to drive off the lot. I recently purchased a 2013 Ford Fusion from the DriveTime location on Beechmont Ave in Cincinnati. The selection of cars on the lot was great, all appeared in excellent condition, and are spread out enough for you to get a good look at every vehicle on the lot. My salesman David ** was great, he took the time to thoroughly explain every step of the process which took a lot of stress out of purchasing a new car. All of the staff were courteous and very helpful. I will definitely be recommending this DriveTime location to anybody who cares.

The experience I had buying a car at DriveTime yesterday was the best car buying experience I have ever had. Our salesperson Kesha was amazing and every person at the dealership was friendly and helpful. There was no pressure, just listening to what we wanted in a car and what we needed as far as cost and payment. They found a vehicle that was what we wanted at the Chandler location about 25-30 miles away. They drove me there in one of their vehicles and let me drive the vehicle we wanted back for a test drive. I'm extremely happy with the vehicle, the terms we were able to get and with the whole experience. I received a phone call today from Kesha just checking to make sure we didn't have any problems or issues. Overall experience was excellent!

I had no luck getting a car anywhere else without putting at least 20% down. But with DriveTime I set up an appointment for the same day, got there and left with the car that I initially wanted in less than 2 hours. I also only had to put 600 dollars down that day. Samuel was a great salesman and very friendly. Honestly the whole staff at the Alta Mere location was amazing. I will be buying there again and I would gladly recommend this location

This was probably the best car buying experience I have ever had! I was pre-approved online and within the hour Amber was calling to confirm the appointment. When I arrived at the dealership she was prepared and within minutes we were looking at vehicles. She had all the keys to the ones that fit my request so I didn't spend time waiting for her to go back and forth. Amber was very patient, professional and not pushy. She didn't try to steer me towards any particular vehicle. Once I made up my mind on a 2010 Jeep Patriot she had the deal done within 30 minutes! Unheard of when buying a car! I will most definitely refer others! You have gained a loyal customer here.

I used your company to rebuild my credit and I could use a down payment to buy down interest. Will is a very responsive and a good guy. He helped us a lot with everything we needed. Again, good guy (probably needs a raise). Our financing was handled by Dan. Dan is very THOROUGH. Very THOROUGH. And with that being said, Dan is yet another good guy. He comes off as serious but approachable. He answered every question I had. Very good. I feel as though your company has exceeded my expectations so far. I just wanted to say as far as car buying goes this was by far the best experience I've ever had. The sales lady Elena ** was very professional and courteous. She really help me the whole way thru the process. She worked my deal to fit both my wants and my budget. She was very knowledgeable on the cars on hand and at other locations. Then on top of that she called to today to see if I had any question or concerns about my car. She also told me I had left my sunglasses in my trade in. She really went out of her way to ensure I was happy. I was so pleased by her level of customer service I already told 3 of my friends about her and gave them her card. Thank you to all the staff at the Decatur location everyone made me feel welcome and as my sale was important to them as it was me. It would be nice after a month of calls to your customer service leasing department someone would actually take time and assist with the current situation at hand. I have now tried for a week to reach "upper management". No one is ever available when I call... that I have previously spoke with. No one has ever returned my call... No one will allow me to actually speak with a manager or supervisor that has some actual resolutions to this issue. I am tired of talking to people that are unable to resolve this matter and provide a reasonable resolution for this inconvenience, stressful, and more than anything a financial burden. I should not have to obtain legal representation to have a simple issue resolved in relation to poor customer service and quality of the products being sold. This is horrible. No one is willing to help (I have names of everyone I have spoke to there and direct numbers that no one ever answers).
I was told if I DID not like the options being presented to me after a yr of being a on time and hassle free customer I was told I could take my business elsewhere. Being I am leasing I was told I was basically renting the car and paying for the time I had it. The warranty that I was sold on was a sham... I was treated as if I had done them wrong or owed them money or was a rude and inconsiderate customer. I tried over and over again to stay positive, not look into legal representation, work with drive time, and all it has done is put me more in a financial burden and loss with them. Emotional distress on countless situations with their rude customer service representatives. On the brink of losing my job because of the time I spent at their warranty's in network facilities that never done repairs that were paid for or denied repair that are considered reasonable and were addressed 9 days after starting my lease.
I am fed up and this company should not be false advertising their warranty coverage. It is all a way for them to make money please make sure you are educated on every aspect of the sneaky ways they handle business. I have had enough of them. Like I said they never want to let you speak with someone with actual authority in the office. I wonder if the owners and/or president, vice president, CEO's actually know what is happening when it comes to the quality of the products they provide and the customer service their customers actually receive. Paying what I pay and being as loyal as I have been I would have never thought I would be told to take my business to another company. That is very poor customer service. Oh not to mention that was said to me by someone who is considered a "manager" there.
It is horrible. It started off wonderful when I had no issues with the car and didn't call about anything as soon as issues arised and I had to make calls is when the lack of service actually began. Overall the store reps were very nice and helpful they still are. That was the best part of this process. The customer service beyond the store... Well you only have half of an idea of what I been through with them!

Regarding the mechanical concerns you mentioned, I can assure you that every vehicle we lease or sell undergoes an inspection, and any components that have failed are replaced. In being a pre-owned vehicle, we have no way to predict if any failures may arise in the future. We provide all our customers with a 1,500 mile 30 day limited warranty, and we offer extended warranties for further peace-of-mind.

My daughter purchased a car from DriveTime in Columbus, Ohio. She put $700 down on the car, so why she owes more after 2 years makes no sense. She paid on time every month for two years to build her credit. After 2 years she went to trade the car in and she owed more than she borrowed. So for two years she paid and none of those funds went to the principal to pay off her loan. So she decided to let the car go. DriveTime sold the car at an local auction in Ohio and sold it for exactly what she bought it for. Now she is told she needs to pay $10,000 plus to pay that loan off. PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T BUY A CAR FROM DriveTime. She is 25 and now has to start all over. She has made several call to DriveTime and nobody has an explanation. She has not heard from DriveTime since the car has been sold to tell her she owes money. It's been 7 months since the car sold and this is affecting her credit.

In a simple interest loan, interest is charged per day on the financed balance remaining. As a result, more money will be paid in interest toward the beginning of a loan.

I walked through the doors of the Glen Burnie store on a prayer and a whim. I got everything started and was told I had a chance. I had to come back the next day, but it was worth the wait. The team, Matt and a manager, fought and scrapped to pull it off and even stayed almost 3 hours after closing to get me into my new car. This team is amazing and I will be sending as many people as I can to them.

I bought a 2006 BMW in Jul 2015 and by Feb 2016 I had to pay for repairs to the vehicle in excess of $1,000.00. All of the repair issues that came up were not covered by the warranty I purchased. I have tried to remove Gap Insurance from my contract and I was never provided any response to my request either by phone, email or in writing. The customer service at even the management levels is atrocious. Calls are never returned. I feel that I was sold a vehicle that did not undergo any kind of used car inspections. I am now stuck with a car for the next 4 years that is not performing at satisfactory levels. I cannot recommend DriveTime to anyone.

I am very pleased with my transaction at DriveTime SW Freeway, and especially with Ziad. He was very professional and personable. I am beyond pleased that he did not allow me to purchase the vehicle I intended to buy (2012 Honda Insight), as after my test drive, they discovered water in the brakes, most probably from the Houston floods this week. I have no doubt a shady auto dealer would have taken advantage of me. Instead, Ziad apologized, and helped me pick out an alternate vehicle. I purchased a 2014 Nissan Versa Note, that, so far, I am very happy with. Buying any car, but especially a used vehicle, is a very stressful endeavor. Purchasing through DriveTime, with Ziad's assistance, was a very pleasant surprise! I will definitely be a return customer.

I drove there thinking everything was in order and it wasn't. I drove an hour to get there. There was nothing done but give me a full tank of gas if I brought the vehicle. I had to resubmit the request to my trustee and continue to wait when this should have been taken care of first time. I wasted my time and money coming. The manager Matthew did make the second encounter better but I'm so disappointed how things were handled the first time, and the sales rep called to see if I had second letter and since I got car he has not reached back out. Even when I called him he never called back. This is horrible and I feel I am owed some type of compensation, and not to mention I found the back seat was ripped once I got home and they won't do anything about it. I'm thinking of going to BBB on this whole ordeal.

Just wanted to make sure as many people saw this as possible so that it might get to a manager. We bought our vehicle on Friday 4/15/16 on Saturday. A fella called and thanked us for the purchase and ask if I had any questions. I told him there was a noise in it, sounded like a tire. He said to take it to Meineke. I was on US 75 going to Lexington and the wheel started shaking and was all over the road and shaking. I drove it very slowly till I got off the exit. I called the #, the guy gave me Saturday and told them what happened and was afraid to drive it to Meineke. She informed me it was my responsibility to get it to the shop so I continued to drive it another couple miles and when the mechanics looked at it they informed me the lug nuts had not been tightened and it had ruined the tire bearings and all.
We were very lucky we didn't have a very bad wreck so thinking they would have to keep the jeep I called the salesman at DriveTime that told us when we bought it if anything happens to it they would take care of everything including a loaner car so he sent me to a manager for her to tell me there's nothing they can do. They don't do that and gave me another # to call and got the same answer. She said I could rent a car out of my pocket and they might be able to reimburse me. I explained to her I had no money to do that so I got another #. Absolutely going insane by now, luckily the spare was a full size tire and they put that on and I drove home then had to take it back today when the tire came in.
I am really surprised and disappointed in the customer service with this company. The store manager did fill my gas tank up since I was so far from home but I hope no one else has to deal with this very irresponsible of whoever put the first tire on and also of DriveTime letting it go without checking the car out completely. I will be calling tomorrow to make sure a manager gets this and it doesn't happen to someone else. It was very scary. I just thank God nothing horrible happened as I had my grandson and friend with me. I hope this gets to the right person.

All of our vehicles undergo a multipoint inspection prior to lease or sale at our DriveTime inspection centers. At that time, should any components fail, they would be replaced. However, we understand that with pre-owned vehicles, sometimes issues arise that we are unable to predict. For added protection, our vehicles come with a 30 day/1,500 mile limited warranty and the option to purchase extended coverage.
Should you ever feel unsafe in driving your vehicle, we encourage you not to continue operation until you have obtained confirmation that the vehicle is safe to drive. For our finance customers who are under one of the previously mentioned warranties, there is benefit of tow reimbursement of up to $75. The contract signing needs lots of work. The process is extraordinarily long and drawn out. In this day and age, it must be a simpler way especially if the customer has been in prior to do most of the work.

I was skeptical of the process to start with, but Georgia and Shay in the Union City location were great, very helpful, knowledge and patient with my load of questions. I would refer anyone with tarnished credit to this location and specifically to Georgia. My only complaint and the reason for the lack of a 5 Star review is the actual amount of paperwork once I was ready to pick my car and the actual time it took to produce all the papers.

Let's start with the beginning, so you can understand the feelings I had at the moment. My wife was driving a beautiful electric blue Kia Optima. Fully loaded. By far the nicest car my wife has ever owned. So, my son was going to Gatlinburg, TN. Oh, yes. You guessed it. My wife allows him to take the car against how I felt. So, yes you can guess what happen next. It was totaled. Everyone was safe, thankfully but in my eyes he should've never been driving that car. So, now you can understand my feelings of caring less to going car shopping.
So on 4/13/16 my wife and I stopped into DriveTime. It was the 1st time that I have visited this company. The personnel there was totally 1st class and understanding of my situation. At no time did I feel pressured to make a decision I was not comfortable with. Lorenzo, our sales rep answered all my questions and walked around the lot with my wife and I to find the perfect car for my wife and I.
The lot was due to close at 9 pm and we were there till 11. At no point did I get the impression that Lorenzo wanted to brush us off to get home and I appreciated that. Once we selected the car we wanted they made sure the paperwork was easy and that we understood what we were signing. Two thumbs up with my experience with DriveTime. Thanks to everyone involved for making my wife and myself feeling comfortable with the decision we made.

Let's start with the fact that I was there from 9 am til about 5 pm. It was a very long day. I'm From Seattle Washington and took a flight down there and when I got there I was told the only thing that I needed to do was pick out a car and make a down payment and then I would be out the door - everything else was done. Let's just say that is not what happened. The car that I wanted had brake problems so it was sent to be fixed which took forever but that wouldn't have happened if the cars were prescreened to make sure that things like that don't happen.
The alternate car that I was looking at that they had on the lot had 6 recalls on it and they had it sitting there for someone to buy - that's not right - they need to have them fixed up before they try and sell it. Also I wasn't told about some of the stray things with the car like when the lights are left on the car it won't start and when the car might seem like it's in park and it's not then it won't start. Other than that Jeremy wanted the car cell and I understand that I was putting pressure on him to get the car together and get it fixed. Jeremy did his best with the product he was given and I will always give him credit for the best job that he did and I want to thank him for the great job and car that he helped me buy. It drives great and I made it all the way back to Seattle with the car I drove it back to Seattle from Vegas.

From the time I got there to the time I left they were nothing but helpful. This was my first new car. They helped me get my payments to a comfortable place for me. My only complaint in the whole process is I personally believe all of the cost should be broken down before the contract is written up to avoid having to reprint the entire thing because of an unwanted/unnecessary package addition. Just bought a 2014 Altima - Really nice and the purchasing experience was satisfactory. Drove the car home and heard a knocking sound on the driver's side wheel at the front. Called DriveTime and asked if I should bring it back for them to check out the problem. I was told to take it to Pep Boys who services their vehicles and get them to inspect it. Took it there and found out I have to make an appointment. Mind you I'm still within the 5-day window to return it and get my money back. After reading a number of unsatisfactory ratings about poor experiences I'm really minded to just take it back and look elsewhere.
I think DriveTime should've taken the car back and gotten the problem checked out themselves rather than send me to deal with it as I just drove it off the lot. It's not a problem I just created but was already present. In DriveTime's defense - being the number one used car company has its rewards but will always have complaints. However, I have noticed a lot of boilerplate DriveTime responses to what appears to be routine customer concerns about treatment and undisclosed car issues. Reluctantly I will take this vehicle in and see what the mechanic says and based on how that experience resolves will determine whether I remain a customer.

The commercial tell you you can walk in and pick any car and they say they will work with you on what you can afford. I got there. They only gave me 3 cars to choose from and I am paying more than I wanted too but the people at the Columbus location are very nice and helpful.

DriveTime is NOT a reputable company. They use illegal marketing practices and harass people with auto dial machines. When you speak with customer service they are trained to lie. It is not a company to do business with. Do business with a local bank and stay safe.

I would recommend anyone to this dealership. I'm very thankful for Jessica ** she was my salesperson. It was a 2-hour drive from Louisiana and it was well worth it. This dealership has no gimmicks or games. They give you everything promised online and over the phone. I give them 5 stars for excellence. I can't work with the 2-week payment plan, and are not even spoke to about it. Now payments will be late. Soon as I can I'm going elsewhere, and just give them back their car.

During contracting the underwriters strive to ensure they provide our customers with all details pertaining to their loan by explaining the total amount for the vehicle, interest rates, payment amounts and due dates. In most cases, due dates are structured around customers pay schedules. For example, if a customer receives their pay check on a bi-weekly basis their car payment will be due bi-weekly. Great commercial. Very misleading... My son called twice to make sure they were actually going to be able to help him. He drove an hour to Plano for some sales lady to treat him like trash. She told him straight up that she wasn't going to help him, if he didn't have $6000.00 down. He had a car to trade in, they said that they wanted cash. WHAT A JOKE!!! When it sounds too good...

My mother and I went into DriveTime just looking to see if I could even get approved for a car, and we were immediately greeted by Steve who helped us the whole time. He was so helpful with us, the poor guy even skipped his lunch to make sure I was leaving with a car of my choice. I was so nervous to make this huge commitment, but Steve made this whole process a pleasurable experience. Really liked Dexter. Very knowledgeable. Good salesman. Had a brake issue after leaving the lot. They started to grind. Have an appt. to get checked out. Hopefully DriveTime will take care of it. Not Dexter's fault. He was great through the whole process. I think you may need to inspect vehicles a little better. Overall a good experience pending our issue being resolved.
