I was so pleased with DriveTime on Savannah Hwy. in Charleston. Zach was very patient with me when test driving vehicles, he is a great asset to your team. Joel finalized the purchase for me and he was very thorough and put me at ease. Finally, during both my visits to DriveTime, Travis met with us to make sure we had all of the information we needed to decide on my new car. I was very pleased with the process of purchasing my new car. The Judson location has a friendly atmosphere. Everyone there work together to make you feel welcome. I had purchased a 2010 Dodge Avenger recently but previously owned a 2006 Saturn Ion. It gave me some issues which lead me to not lease and to just go ahead and finance a vehicle. Everything went well except for the delinquent account balance that was clearly up to date otherwise I wouldn't have been back to purchase another vehicle but that was cleared and I'm glad to say I have a good reliable vehicle. My parents were in the market for a new vehicle, I co-signer. Smooth process. The only reason I didn't rate the experience 5 stars is because it was a long wait from the time we decided on a vehicle until all the paperwork was signed. Other people that started the process after us were gone before us.

In a 4 week period I've had three cars from DriveTime and they all are a POS - check engine light comes on. The providers they send you to are very rude and it always puts me in a inconvenience because of my work schedule. Wish I never came to DriveTime!

These facilities, although they are separate entities from DriveTime, have all entered into an open agreement to ensure our customers are provided with the best possible assistance, should any issues arise. DriveTime is a very nice and friendly car lot. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They will help all they can to get you in the car you want. The salesman I had by the name Robert I would recommend to ask for. The manager Joshua is the nicest manager I have spoken to yet at a car lot. I thought Jennifer was a really good salesperson, the process seemed to go well. Things got weird when we spoke with Garrison, I think he was the gm about the extra products. We didn't really want the gps product but had questions about how it worked and he was very sly/shady about the explanation. Ok, no problem. Then as we worked through all the paperwork with James my wife and I were talking about the arbitration form. I made the comment that a person could still probably sue the company because they would just say they didn't completely understand all the forms. James got excited and asks me if I understood the form, and I said vaguely. And he got upset, and started reading the form word by word.
I let him go on for a while then stopped after the section where it mentions tort cases. I asked him what that meant, and he couldn't give me a solid answer. I told him that we could read the document word for word multiple times but I still wouldn't completely understand it and apparently he didn't either. The next paragraph states something about taking the company to state court. The whole time he kept referring to the document as saying that we couldn't take the company to court, but there's a sentence saying we could. I thought James was very rude, the whole thing started when I made a comment to my wife.
When we were done with the paperwork, that was it. No thanks for buying a vehicle. Jennifer had left without saying bye. I stood in the middle of the room for a sec, it felt very strange like were we done? Luckily the process beforehand was fairly simple so there's a possibility of us going back, if we see something on the inventory list we like.

I came in on 6/3/16 and purchased a 2012 Ford Fusion. My buying experience was top notch from the moment I arrived. Grace greeted me and assisted in helping me feel comfortable. But when we were finally helped, Chris and Mike did a awesome. Chris went above and beyond on finding us a vehicle that would accommodate our family of 6 comfortably. I want to thank everyone at Sahara DriveTime for taking the time to give me and my son what he wanted, a 2010 Scion release RS. So so happy. All I ask is please making my son as a co-signer on this car. Please, I am 70 years old. It's all I ask. This car will be totally paid off in the time of the monthly payments. The staff at the dealership was nice and friendly the day I purchased my 2005 Jeep Liberty. After a few weeks, I began to see multiple problems. First, the engine began misfiring. The warranty department informed me that it would be a $100 deductible to have it looked at and they would then determine if it was covered even. When I informed them it was the spark plugs that were likely original to the car based on how worn they were (the one to the misfiring cylinder even had burn marks on the side from shorting out), they said it was maintenance and would not be approved even though after changing them out of pocket, the misfiring pops up on occasion. Then, the passenger side window started making a terrible scream every time I rolled it down and the driver window regulator actually failed twice. Again, I was informed it was not covered.
The AC began to not function properly and found out it was due to low coolant, but not before finding out the serpentine belt had about an 8 inch split in it and had to replace that, again out of pocket. The AC is also back to not performing like it should. When I took the car in for its first free oil change, the mechanics informed me the brakes were in need of repair. Currently, the steering wheel shakes on stops and slowdowns as a result of them needing repair, out of pocket of course. The ignition won't start the car intermittently. I have to try starting multiple times for it to turn over.
The newest addition to the list is a lug on the front axle passenger side that I was made aware of after having to replace two tires because the car was sold to me out of alignment. Again, I was informed it was not an approved repair. Let me reiterate this. Issues with one of their lease vehicles that compromise safety ARE NOT COVERED BY THEIR WARRANTY! DO NOT BUY FROM DRIVETIME. Else, if you have no other option, be absolutely sure to bring your own mechanic with you. They sold me a lemon and refuse to make it right.

With any pre-owned vehicle we are never able to predict if a future failure may arise. For that reason, we do provide our customers with a 30 day or 1,500 miles warranty. At the time of sale our finance customers are given the option to purchase extended coverage while our lease vehicles come with a “Life of Lease” warranty. We had a very bad experience in Florida and Bridgecrest came to the rescue. Marcus and Melvin were excited to help us resolve our nightmare. They picked us up after hours, Melvin had not even eaten, till we signed the papers and we were satisfied. Then DriveTime even put gas in our new car. We left at 11:00 pm. I went to one of your locations yesterday. It was not the most pleasant experience I've had and believe me I have bought a few cars in my lifetime. You pride yourself/company on the guaranteed price you see is the price you pay on your website, and that's not what I saw at all yesterday. Your company insist on adding additional warranty packages to the vehicle which is not the price you see. If you don't add the additional warranty packages then your loan term gets shorter and shorter making the monthly payment more and more which is unfair and not reasonable. Also, I know my credit isn't the greatest but I am worthy of more than 16.99% APR. I know this because I have recently refinance my current car and was able to obtain a 7.64% APR. I WAS highly interested in a car on your lot but after the runaround I got yesterday I'd be glad to find the car some place else.

During the sales process, we provide every customer with what is called a “Federal Truth in Lending” disclosure. I rate my experience at DriveTime a 10. Anthony, Melvin, and Matt were all so inviting, well versed at what they do to accommodate the customers that walk through the doors to DriveTime. Customer service is horrible. Flew in to purchase a car, wouldn't come pick me up from airport and wouldn't cover cab expense. Salesman said he was going to fill the car up with fuel, car came back 3/4 full. Car breaks down within 3 days. Cannot reach salesman or warranty department via phone or email for 3 whole days. No information on what maintenance company is in network or out of network (on website) and of course I am charged $200 because the dealership that I have chosen is out of network. Remind you I broke down out of my home state.
List of items that have occurred within the five days of having the vehicle: 1. Strains to come out of first. 2. Check engine light is now on. 3. Shakes heavily at 70 mph (on the drive home). 4. Engine oil life went from 70% to 41% in 3 days. 5. Fuel gauge fluctuates from 1/2 tank to a quarter tank. 6. The smell of something burning from the engine when at a complete stop. 7. The car will not go over 60 mph. Doesn't matter how hard you step on the gas pedal. It will sputter and shake violently until you let off the gas and speed drops below 58 mph. 8. Overheat light and engine light is now illuminated.

Fred who sold us our car was very kind, friendly. But we felt a little disturb because he did not closed out our forms. There was another person who closed out our forms. He did not have us at the time sign for our registered form for sticker and about a week later the Bridgecrest call us and informed me and my husband that our vehicle was not registered and they will pick our car. This was not fair to me and my husband. We had a bad taste in our mouth. We have purchased 4 vehicles in the past 6 yrs. We expected better service than this.

I bought my car March 5 2015. The buying experience was great but the vehicle turned out to be a lemon. I have been to the recommended auto shop but the issue was not fixed. Now I have to spend $200.00 at the Ford dealership for them to try to repair the vehicle, but I don't believe they will fix the problem and I just want to return the car. I went to DriveTime thinking I was gonna get a great car with no problems but it didn't turn out that way! I'm so disappointed.

Had a great experience at the dealership but as soon as I drove away I seen a crack in my window seal. I called back to let them know and they said they could not do anything after I purchase it. They gave me two options: I can return the car and get a full refund or I can pay for the repair myself. I was very disappointed in that answer so I had to come out of pocket to replace my window seal on my new car I just bought from DriveTime less 30 minutes after purchasing it from DriveTime. After they wash your car make sure you look over it before you sign any paperwork or before you drive off the lot.

My Sales Representative, Austin, was extremely professional and at the same time created a very laid back and easy going process. My credit isn't great and they were very accommodating even with that obstacle. Lastly, the car is great. The only gripe I have is that the brakes were a little low, but they were within the legal limit to sell me the vehicle with. I was told that I had 5 days to test drive their car. If I was not completely satisfied I could return it for a full refund of my down payment. It only took a few hours to realize that this was a lemon. Dealer refused to refund monies.

Please rest assured I will looking into this matter further to make sure everything has been appropriately addressed. Both our lease and purchase options do include a Vehicle Return Program. For our finance customers, they have the ability to return their vehicle to DriveTime, and terminate the Simple Interest Retail Installment Contract, within five calendar days, or 300 miles, from the date of purchase. Our lease customer can return their vehicle within 24 hours, and 75 miles, from the date of lease. Typically, the only reason a customer will be ineligible for this program is if the vehicle had been driven over the allotted mileage or if the vehicle is returned in a different condition than when it was purchased. However the full details of the terms and conditions for our Vehicle Return Program can be found in the documents provided to our customers at the time of lease or purchase. I purchased one Ford Fiesta 2012 on 5/21. I had the car checked out and I have an electrical or fan issue. I hate that I wasted an entire day getting this car to probably be out of it for at least a week.

At DriveTime they made me feel like I was making big moves in life. The fact that I had options between newer year vehicles with no credit was pretty amazing. At 22 I never thought I'd be in such a nice vehicle. They have a great setup, many options, and the staff is friendly at all times. Definitely a place I'm recommending to my friends!

I went into DriveTime as a first-time buyer, with little knowledge of the process other than from what one can learn from Google. While walking in, everyone greeted me nicely. My salesperson "Eric" was so down to earth, and helpful. He eased my mind, and walked me through everything. I was approved for zero down on a variety of great cars. Unfortunately the car I wanted was sold the day before I got there, so I advise anyone to put money down to hold the car you want, because they do sell FAST! Luckily, I fell in love with a different car. They have so many to choose from. There's no worry in your mind that you'll leave with the right one.
I ended up purchasing a 2012 Honda Civic LX with only 30k miles on it. It runs like a champ! No problems! I went to two different mechanics to make sure, and they both checked out! DriveTime cares about your car. They make sure everything is running smoothly when you test drive, and point out the advantages and the flaws, so you know the truth! I'm so happy about my decision! I highly recommend!

I'm not as happy as I had hoped to be. I'm still smelling oil burning. I don't feel I got enough for my trade and 466.00 per month for 5 1/2 years just seems too high priced for a 07 Ford Explorer that's just plain and has 96000 plus miles on it. So I'm kind of feeling like I should have brought my vaseline or some sort of cheap lubricant with me that day that they saw me coming from miles away. I feel like I have a big boulder in my stomach. Don't get me wrong. I love my SUV. I just feel like I got took advantage of when I needed a vehicle. Just sad and very depressed.

I can assure you that before any vehicle is offered for sale, it undergoes a thorough inspection at one of our DriveTime Inspection Centers. If any components have failed, they are replaced. However, in being a pre-owned vehicle, we have no way to foresee if future issue may arise. For this reason, every vehicle we sell comes with an initial 1,500 mile or 30 day limited warranty. We also provide our customers the option to purchase an extended warranty for further peace-of-mind. If issues ever do arise, we encourage our customers to contact Aeverex, the warranty administrator, to start a claim for the needed repairs.
Regarding your concerns with pricing, DriveTime does not compete on the basis of price, nor do we hide it. I had a very pleasant time with salesperson, dealer was clean, everyone was nice, even the car are nice. I am a mechanic and worked for general motors for 15 years, but people are completely missing what happens here. You cannot haggle the prices and there is a Mark up on the used car prices. I would always suggest to take a look at Kelly blue book a lot of people are not using anymore and allowing yourself and the sales man to get away with making a huge profits. You research but there is also a reason to these people with no or bad credit. This might be your only option for a vehicle so you might have to bite the bullet.
