I had a great experience at DriveTime. As soon as I walked in, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The entire experience was completely hassle free compared to other dealerships. Staff was so helpful! I’d definitely recommend them to friends and family. I’ll never go anywhere else to purchase a vehicle.

My sales person was Melissa ** - Conyers, GA location. She was so helpful, reassuring, and kind during the entire process. She went the extra mile more times than I can count and made me feel comfortable which I appreciate, because car buying can tend to be a stressful experience. Melissa got me into a better car than I would have ever expected and at a lower payment as well. Not only did she do that, but she gave me real and honest advice about my choices! I may not have purchased the car if not for her, so let's all applaud her exceptional customer service and dedication to excellent customer support as well.

We purchased an awesome 2013 Chevrolet Malibu fully loaded. Mr. ** was amazing and very knowledgeable about the business and his customer service was impeccable. He should would be a great franchise owner. I purchased and paid off a Fiat for my daughter in 2016. We had to upgrade. But my loyalty is with DriveTime.

My experience was excellent! Mike made my experience super easy. The online process made my life so much easier. The only complaint I have is that my oil/inspection light is on. Just would like to know when the last oil change was done on my car. Thank you.

I purchased a Nissan Murano in 2013 for 13,200.00. The first 6 weeks of owning the car, problems started. The car was cutting off in traffic and I became afraid for my own safety. Since I purchased the extended warranty, which means any problems would be covered, right. Wrong, after contacting DriveTime, I was instructed to take the car to a specific mechanic to determine the issue. The coils were bad and needed to be replaced. Warranty company decided this is not covered and I had to pay out of pocket. Not having the funds, I arranged to pick my car up and wait until I had the funds for the repairs. The mechanical company charged me 130.00 for the evaluation. Being on a fixed income I paid the money, took my car home and saved up the money for repair.
Eventually I repaired the car, but every 2 months I have a breakdown. Paying monthly payments, insurance and car repairs is a burden on my income. They do not send a monthly statement and the only way You can obtain your balance is on their website. 10 months ago I checked my pay off balance and it was $10,000K. I looked last week and was $9800.00. As I write this review my car is sitting in front of my house waiting on me find money for repairs.

It is for this reason that we offer a 30 day/1,500 mile Limited Warranty and optional Vehicle Service Contract. Please also know that this Vehicle Service Contract is not a complete warranty and is offered to assist with larger components such as the engine, drive-axle, and transmission.

I had the best car buying experience at your Marlow Heights location. My salesperson was Roy ** and he was very patient and extremely thorough with me. I purchased a 2013 Chrysler 200 and the cost and my down payment were right aligned with my budget. The customer service from my sales person and the manager was phenomenal.

My visit with the St. Charles DriveTime in Missouri was exceptional! From impeccable service to knowledge about the cars to showing you every detail about the car before you buy. I would highly recommend if you are in the market for a vehicle to check out DriveTime first! They had a super friendly staff, a very clean area of business, and were very helpful in getting just the car I wanted. If I ever do decide to get out of my new Hyundai Elantra, I do believe I will be going back to DriveTime. And I personally strongly suggest the St. Charles location! Eddie was a great sales associate!

Rip offed!!! Do not buy a car there! They charged me full price of new car cost on a 9 year old car!!! I paid over $16,000 on my 2010 Buick Enclave and they still wanted $21,000 left on payments! They just repo my car.

Hey this is William **. I just recently came to DriveTime and financed a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. I personally have only driven the car 3 times, a few underlining issues that are leaving me displeased with the vehicle I obtained from DriveTime. 1. Cigarette burn holes in seats and head liner. The pictures online shows clearly no holes which indicates the car has been heavily smoked in and I've tried masking the odor of smoke. I have photos of the driver seat on the same day of financing showing a fabric patch was used to "cover up" the hole and I still have the fabric patch for proof if needed.
2. Engine noise! Ticking sound. A certified mechanic has checked it out and has said that it could be lifters rattling or timing chain that could be slapping due to over revving of the engine which could have caused slack in it. I personally tested my theory by listening to the exact same year and make car and no engine noise. 3. Rough idle. Certified mechanic said but did not diagnose that it could be missing on one of the cylinders 4. Last but not least and by far the most important...!! The Chevy Cruze shut completely down!! Coming to red light this past Saturday while going to get groceries - it shut off.
I put car in park, the car started back up, and I have not experienced that problem again. And specifically asked for a car that has not been smoked in because my son has asthma. They made the car smell good at time of purchase but I could quickly smell smoke and my kid cannot be anywhere around smoke and I called and spoke with someone about my issues on the 2nd day and told me they would get back in touch with me but waited until the 5 day return policy was up and then I was told that they couldn't do anything.

Please know that each of our vehicles are inspected prior to sale in an effort to avoid these situations. However, given that our vehicles are pre-owned, issues may sometimes present themselves after the point of sale. For this reason, each vehicle from our lot includes a 30-day/1,500-mile Limited Warranty, in addition to the extended Vehicle Service Contract that we offer as an optional product at the time of sale. Both of these products are serviced by the warranty administrator, SilverRock, and it is strongly recommended that you reach out to them as your first point of contact if any mechanical malfunctions occur within your coverage limitations.
I want to also apologize for any cosmetic issues with your vehicle that may have occurred as a result of the previous owner’s habits. However, please keep in mind that our consumers are responsible for identifying any cosmetic concerns prior to sale. That said, we understand that some concerns of this nature can potentially go unnoticed by the consumer until they have driven the vehicle off of the lot. If our customers find that they are dissatisfied with their purchase in any way, they may utilize the Vehicle Return Program (VRP) that you briefly mentioned in your review. This program allows our customers to return their vehicle within 5 business days of signing their contract, in addition to being within 300 miles, while excluding Sundays and holidays.

DriveTime definitely takes the hassle out of buying a vehicle. Our salesman Jonathan (JP) went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. We could not be more pleased and will definitely be lifetime customers. At DriveTime they break everything down to where you can understand everything about the vehicle and financial procedures. They make sure you are comfortable with everything going on and do not try and push you into something you do not want. Again we could not be more pleased with the whole experience.

One day after getting my new car the oil light came on and a few days after the filter light. My car is a 2012 with 78,900 mi, so I was upset to see any lights on. I called Bridgecrest to inform them of the situation and was transferred to DriveTime because oil changes are NOT covered under warranty. The customer relations department was great with contacting the insurance provider to inform them to cover anything wrong with the car for that service. Long story short I received a free oil change and filter. Pricing-I expected a higher interest rate since I'm a first time financer, but I'm almost paying 32,000 dollars for a 2012 Nissan Murano S, THAT'S A NEW CAR! Luckily for them I really wanted a second car/truck!

South West freeway - I just purchased my vehicle and my sales person was D'Andre, to say that I was please would be an understatement. This gentleman let me look at a zillion cars, ask a zillion questions and was so polite, patient and really showed he cared about my feelings. The management team was great as well. They were very busy but they never let on that they were overwhelmed! No sharks there! It was great!

My experience was decent. My salesman was pretty good. There was a lack of communication as far as the contract. I was under the impression payments were monthly not biweekly. Also the car I chose was in good condition however it could’ve been cleaner.

Overall decent experience. Was advised prior to arriving that it wouldn't be time consuming but waited over an hour to be seen and 30 mins to be acknowledged. Once working with a rep, he disappeared for 30 mins. I still ended up purchasing a vehicle and Donavan was great.

I brought my car 9/14/18 from DriveTime on Richie highway. The second week of me having my car I had to put it in the shop. The car never should have passed MD inspection which means they're paying people to pass these cars. So here it is 11/16/18 and my car has already been in the shop for 3 weeks and has to stay longer for another issue. They don't want to give me a new car saying it's pass the time for me trying to get a new car but how if I have issues the first week of having it. And they don't want to give me my money back. I'm keep being harassed about making a payment and it's going on a month that I didn't have my car even though I just got it in September. I'm not about to keep making payments on something I can't use... not to mention the $22 I'm paying to get to a job I'm about to be fired from or the $33 I pay to get to the school I'm about to get kicked out of because I don't have my car.
And then on top of that they don't help you get rental cars. So you pretty much ** out. If you don't want the headaches take your money elsewhere cause they don't care about you after they got your money and got their cut. I'm going through a lot of pain and suffering late bills and everything due to all the money. I still have to kick out for a car I can't use. I'm mad at myself cause I dealt with them. I thought I was getting a car to better my life not make things hard... I wish I never got a car from them.

I purchased a car Saturday, I took it home and parked it, Sunday about 12:00 noon I went outside to start the car and it would not start. I tried to jump start the car it would not start, about 20 mins later it started, I drove the car a couple of miles to a relative's house and went inside, a few minutes later it would not start again. I waited a few minutes and it started, I drove the car home and parked it. I am going to return the car because something is wrong with it, I didn’t expect this and I don’t want to be paying for a car that won't start.

I am very pleased with my experience. Just got a 2013 Ford Taurus Limited. I'm so happy. My sales consultant was Nazir. Very easy to work with and made the buying experience incredibly simple. Answered all my questions and treated me like a friend as opposed to a walking dollar sign like I've experienced at every other dealership. I have bad credit and they, Nazir and the sales manager Kurt, didn't care one bit. I actually had a good time checking out cars and making the final decision which Nazir was very helpful with. Can you believe I just said that? I had a good time at a dealership? Yeah. I said it.
I'll definitely be going back there with future purchases and will be recommending them to friends and family. I have been given the run around at every dealership I've ever been to. Not here. I was almost in disbelief how east it was for me, a guy with a very troubled credit past, to get such a fantastic car. I can't say enough good things about my experience. Hardest part of the experience was choosing a car! I've never been told I could choose whatever car I wanted most! Go to these guys. You won't regret it. Thank you Nazir, Kurt and DriveTime.

When I walked in DriveTime I was greeted immediately by a manager and made me feel like I was entering her home. Then she introduced me to the rep that would be handling the sale. The rep didn't even shake my hand. IDK if she was new or what but her customer service went downhill from there. So after only showing me 2 cars she started huffing and puffing when I asked her about a 3rd car. I didn't want to upset her more so I just left it alone and told her I didn't need to test drive it.
When it came down to it I needed time to think over if the car she showed me was right for me. I didn't buy the car that day. 3 days later I went on the app and saw a car I liked at a different location. I called Raya to ask if I went to the other location if they would need to re run my credit and what I should do. She told me that she would have to call me back in a few minutes so she can ask her manager. She called me back after 2 hours and acted like she didn't even want to talk to me and just rattled off numbers about the car I asked about but never answered my question. So I had enough and told her to stop cause she wouldn't let me speak at all and told her that what she was telling me wasn't even answering my question then she goes, "Oh what was your question".
I didn't want to deal with her so I just told her I will go to the other location myself and she didn't have to bother with me. She said, "Oh ok" and hung up immediately. Later I remembered how nice her manager was so I called her. Got the info I needed, went in the next day and bought the car. Raya was the same rude rep that I was stuck with even when the manager knew I didn't want to work with her but I let it go cause I was under a time restraint and I just wanted to get the car and go.
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. She was rude the whole time and kept leaving for some reason and every time came back with food in her mouth. They told me I would be done just under an hour. I was there a little over 2 hours. She told me she'd clean the car and only wiped down half the windshield. I dont understand how these companies can hire people like her. Worst experience of my life.

I was very impressed with the service with salesman Jacob **. He didn't pressure me into anything I didn't want. Stick to the plan to pick the car through internet website. Honestly I don't know what I would have done without the smooth process from beginning over the phone to in person. It didn't take more than an hour.

I was not aware at the time I came in the first time that the payments shown to me were bi-monthly payments. That was not emphasized and should have been when making my decision to buy the outback. I feel that that was in a small way deceptive.

Sale person Chad explained that all cars were unlocked and the pricing sheets were on the dash. My husband I began to walk the lot. We were looking for Tahoe or 3rd row SUV. Found a 2015 Chevy Tahoe with 67k miles. Price sheet had $21, 990. Called Chad for a test drive. Millage a bit higher than we wanted but was willing to give it a test drive. Chad came out, took the price sheet, went to go get keys for test drive, came back to tell us the vehicle was not $21, 900 but a typo and should be $41, 990. Then showed me the tiny print on the bottom that price may be in error. We left. Exited. Bad business... At the very least apologize for error and offer something. Who makes a 20k error on the price of a vehicle. 20k? Nope, not buying this mistake. We found newer Tahoes with much less mileage for much less cost.

We had Erica as our sale person and she was great. There was another salesperson named Johnny and he tries to say to us that Erica intervened and took over the sale from him and that's not true. Erica was my sales lady with my 2010 Nissan truck and I had been talking to Erica off and on and Johnny called my house and spoke to my wife and he is the one that intervened and tried to take the sale away from Erica and we wouldn't let him. We went on and let Erica have the sale. She is very friendly and knew what we wanted.

I purchased a vehicle from DriveTime in May of 2017 with the extended warranty in New Jersey. The car worked for a while but had to go to the shop due overheating. Car was diagnosed and was told needed a new battery, purchased the battery, the car ran fine for a while started overheating again, now the car is in the shop because of the overheating and leaking antifreeze which was the problem before and now the warranty company will not pay for the car to be repaired because they claim the engine was damaged. I would never ever recommend them to any who wants to purchase a car. They are very dishonest and fail to honor their warranties but want you to pay your payments on time.

I went online to do the pre-approval first. Then I made a appointment with Nicole **. This by far the best car buying experience I ever had along with the awesome General Manger. I had such great customer service. I didn't feel pressured to buy and I felt that he really tried to make sure I got in a vehicle that I would be happy with. The only disappointment was asking for tires to be changed on it since 2 looked really bad. I have 4 tires to put on it, just needed them traded out. I figured that was the least they could do since the tires need replaced ASAP.

I got an approval online. Great! However, after I did I called a couple of dealerships as I didn't want to waste their time or mine do get an idea of what my down payment might be on the car I saw online and I was told by 2 different stores it would be under a grand. So great, went in, handed them my pay check stubs which matched exactly what I have put on the app. I was pretty excited! Get there and do everything and the down payment was 2500 bucks! I know my credit is bad but don't tell someone over the phone one thing just to trick them in to coming in to find out something else! I never write reviews but this one pissed me off because I tried finding out details before driving that way. They tried to sell me on cars 10 years old! Or cars that wouldn't work for me. Whole thing seems shady.

When I first started my journey looking for a car loan, I knew I didn’t want to be judged by my credit score and to be disappointed. So I Googled “In house financing” and DriveTime popped up. I filled out the short application and to my surprise I was approved with $3000 down. I automatically started looking elsewhere because I didn’t have $3000 sitting around. Later on that day, I received a phone call from Edward and he said I would just have to pay $1,095 to get a car. Driving from Bridgeport, Connecticut to PA I made Eddie aware that I need to make sure I’m guaranteed a vehicle and he reassured me a couple of times “Yes you're guaranteed a vehicle”. No regrets driving the 2 hour and 50 minutes drive, the process was smooth and painless. Edward did an awesome job even filled up the gas tank for me. I will completely refer my family and friends to DriveTime.

Was sold a car with electrical issues and had to return it the next day...I felt as if that should NEVER have happened. It was a very unfortunate situation because I really did like the car... I was gonna pay $460 a month on a $13,500 car with a finance charge of over $16,000 for 5 years. The car should have been in great condition before the sale...Unacceptable!

I have purchased 6 vehicles in my lifetime and I have to say this was by far the best experience ever. I walked feeling like I got what I wanted and I got a good deal. I was in a difficult position financially and they helped me tremendously. I still got all the features I wanted in my car (Kia Optima). The service plan is a great deal and I’m thankful the dealership offered it to me. The sales staff from Henry, Nicole, and Lestainia were experts and true professionals. This was for sure 5 star service and an excellent car buying experience.

I end up purchasing a used low mileage 2011 BMW from the DriveTime in Laurel MD. When going over the car with the salesman, we heard a rattling sound. He took the car somewhere and came back saying it was just a loose screw. I had a gut feeling something was wrong with the car. The next day, I took off of work and paid 120.00 for a mechanic to inspect the vehicle. I knew I had 5 days/300 miles. The mechanic said: the car needed an oil change - 8,000 miles overdue, brake flush, main window switch broken, missing power cover for post engine bay, plastic shields underneath were incorrectly installed and broken, tire rotation, oil pan gasket starting to leak, high pressure p/s line, lots of rust underneath car, front brakes touching sensors inside pads, battery needed to be replaced, A/C should be colder and a few other issues.
The mechanic said the car would only make it two years or so. I took the car to a DriveTime close to my house for a full refund of my down payment. Before committing to a high interest rate loan, please do your due diligence and ensure the car is in good shape. I would like to be reimbursed the 120.00, but it was worth the cost knowing what I know now.

I bought a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan a few months ago. The process was very good and fairly painless. However, there is a defect with the van that is a danger to my children. The Van just shuts down at random times. Interstate and city driving. As I have a six month old son, two year old daughter and twelve year old step-daughter, this is flat not safe. I have had multiple diagnostic tests ran on this van and nothing comes back because the check engine light is not on.
I called the company that handles the warranty and they told me that they need to hear from a mechanic that is going to be working on the vehicle. How is a mechanic supposed to tell them what they are going to working on when they cannot diagnose the problem. Meanwhile, my children are put at great risk when this van shuts down doing 70 mph on the interstate. I have either have to pull over or put it in neutral and start it back up and it doesn't start back up right away. It also does this when I start and it's sitting still. It takes four or five times to start it. Something definitely needs to be done.

Second and final car from DriveTime. Fist time if I died, car was paid off, now if I die contract goes into default. First time car came with a 3 year warranty, now 30 days. First time had great experience with sales rep, now very rude and pushy. Car has a GPS device so they can locate the car, I was told if I didn't like that I didn't have to buy a car from them. First time if car was in accident and totaled I was told to come back, they would help me get something else, now I had to buy gap insurance. Never again.

In regard to warranty, please know that all of our vehicles come with a 30 day/1,500 mile Limited Warranty and optional Vehicle Service Contract that our customers can elect to add to their financing. Please also know that while there are GPS units installed in our vehicles, they are not used to track whereabouts. I went to DriveTime in hopes of getting a vehicle and not getting screwed. The vehicle I wanted was at another dealership which was fine. I put $100 hold on the car and was promised to get it back if I changed my mind or not liking the vehicle l. I got the sheet that showed how much my payments for 3 categories; standard, with all warranties and DriveTime warranties. For the APR % interest and all the warranties for a little over $12,500 vehicle I would have paid $36,000 for the car!!! Which is pure out ridiculous!!! I called about getting my $100 back and they repeatedly told me that they were the ones that had to call to do that. 2 weeks or more since my visit still no call, still no money back!!!

This can cause the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) offered to be a bit higher than expected. For this reason, we provide a Federal Truth in Lending Disclosure during the contracting process. This disclosure details the APR, the finance charge, the amount financed, the total amount expected to be paid throughout the life of the loan, and the total sales price.

Purchased a car with DriveTime about a 1 year and a half ago. I was quite satisfied. So when someone runs into my husband and totals his vehicle I wasn't too frustrated. I had been paying on this vehicle faithfully. Never late or behind. When we purchased the vehicle they said if something should happen such as an accident we could come back and get something else for little to no down payment. So we go to the dealership in Jackson Ms, find a vehicle and was quoted a huge down payment with high interest. My husband was willing to honor this.
I was skeptical. Needed a lil more time to think, But when I finally agreed a couple days later we call back to purchase the vehicle they try and raise the downpayment 3000.00 more dollars. Yes I said 3000.00 more not 300.00. I have lost all respect for this company now. They had a faithful spokesman in me, now they've lost our business as well as my 2 sons who were in the market as well. I absolutely refuse to allow them to go to Drivetime. Bring the previous Drivetime back cause the way you do business now, the negative reviews are deserved.

So disappointed on my purchase at DriveTime. Jeffery my sales guy I told him I did not want the motion gps nor did I want the warranty or the gap insurance and he put all that on my loan. Also I sent in the vehicle vin inspection 3 weeks ago and it’s missing. The office staff can’t find it. So disappointed!!!

Buyer beware, DriveTime put what was essentially a large lawnmower battery in the car that was sold to me. When it quickly died I was shocked when I went to replace it. When buying from them make sure to inspect every little detail. They take cutting cost to a whole new level.

Amanda from the McKnight Store was incredible to work with and I would recommend the service to anyone. The only issue I had with the entire process was not her fault... When I picked up the vehicle, my wife noticed that the car was not clean. Then when I got in, I saw rocks on the floor from... not sure when. Then when My kids got in the back, they found coffee stirring sticks in the door compartments and also a food bag under the seat. Looked like it was used to do a transport of some sort but never cleaned out. I was disappointed that it looked like no one really did anything to the car after I decided to purchase the vehicle. Outside of that, it was a good experience.

I purchased a vehicle through DriveTime. I had a decent experience. It could of been better if the dealership would prep the vehicle that you’re going to purchase. I just feel I shouldn’t have to pay to get my car detailed, when it should be done at the dealership. My wait time was over 3 1/2 hours, as the rep I was working with was overly busy. So I didn’t get to test drive until aforementioned time.

I purchased a vehicle last March from DriveTime and thought I had found a real solution to my situation. I am a disabled, single mom who last year went to DriveTime for help. When I purchased my vehicle I was told by Elena **, my sales associate, that in the event that I had a total loss again, (because that’s how I came to buy a car last year), that I would be put into another vehicle with no money down. Fast forward to now. I have had a total loss and DriveTime now refuses to honor their agreement with me. If you repurchased under this program please post here under the title REPURCHASED DOWN DUE TO TOTAL LOSS. I went through DriveTime to alleviate being without a car and desperate to get to and from doctors appointments and taking my daughter across town for school. Please help me hold DriveTime accountable. Thanks.

Miranda the manager was extremely helpful and nice over the phone and in person. She asked a few questions before we arrived, and helped answer some questions we had while discussing the vehicle we selected. Matt was the agent to assist us in store, and he was nice, but could have been more personable. My fiance and I felt like we were making all the attempts at rapport during the visit, and he didn't ask us any questions while we were looking at a few cars, or point out any features that might sway us toward one or the other. I'm appreciative that he wasn't rude or pushy, but if we hadn't already had an idea of what we wanted, he may not have seemed as helpful.

I have an 872 credit rating and came in to Cosign for a loan for my daughter-in-law. To prove income I brought bank statements and check stubs. Because I removed account numbers all other transactions except SSA & 401K deposits they would not accept and made me drive 1 hour (round trip) to get new copies. The reason I have my rating is I DON'T DO THAT & if I did not love my children I wouldn't. We will not do business again.

My car was totaled after a manufacturer recall because of faulty transmission switch. I begged the dealership to get me out of the car and result I lost thousands of dollars. They got paid all their money and then some for my insurance and my gap. I got nothing but another ** car with high interest rates that they didn’t run my new credit score for.

We purchased a Ford Escape from DriveTime. We had it for 3 months and transmission went out. We had purchased a warranty but was left without a car for 2 weeks. After we got car back engine light was on and the car had no power. We talked to DriveTime but they were not willing to help us resolve this. We are paying for a car that is dangerous to drive. Wish we would have never dealt with DriveTime. Hope you don't have to go through the same thing with them. We are telling everyone we know not to buy anything from them.

This was the best car buying experience ever!!! Everyone was so helpful and they really made the process less stressful!!! My salesman and the manager were awesome!!! My process from start to finish was smooth. I came in prepared, they told me what I I could qualify for and we looked at cars, I test drove the car I wanted and that was that. We finalized the complete deal yesterday and it was just that simple. The total process took me a total of 3 hrs. Very satisfied.

My experience started about 2 weeks ago, first I was pre-approved for no downpayment online so I set up an appointment to look car. When I arrived I was greeted and assigned a sales rep, who was very polite and professional. I then chose a car that I liked but was unable to test drive because they could not unlock it. After spending about 2 hours waiting I had to leave. The next day I was called by Samuel to see what my experience was like. I explained what happened and assured me when the locksmith unlocked then I would be called! No one ever called, I called numerous times and got nowhere.
I returned to DriveTime because I saw another car in my price range but it had been sold the day be. Again I set down with Jessica to look at options, now I would need at least a downpayment of $750 and payments would $300-$390 a month. I feel like they really didn’t want to sell me a car. Also the original car I was interested in was fixed and sold. No one called me even though Samuel promised to have someone call when it was repaired. Jessica did call me to let me know they were still waiting on a locksmith.

Being a young 19 year old making my first vehicle purchase, I was a little nervous. I walked in to Drive Time Augusta with my parents and after Mr. ** greeted us and we met Rashad **, I immediately felt more relaxed. Not only did Rashad make my first purchase easy and quick, their customer service was top notch. It was obvious Rashad knew his job extremely well and was used to dealing with young adults. My parents also could not stop talking about what a great car buying experience that was and they have purchased many vehicles throughout their lives. Walked into DriveTime this evening with low hopes of getting a car. I am happy to say I am walking out tonight with a car. Process was fairly quick and car choices weren't bad. The downside is the car (2014 Volkswagen) was in my possession for less than one day and we noticed issues with the brakes and alignment. It would have been nice if they fixed the issues before selling it.

After leaving dealership I realized the rear end was very noisy and the hatch back had to be slammed to close. Called the dealership and they told me I had to call the warranty program and deal with them. There is mismatched tires on on car.

I went to DriveTime about 30 days ago. Everyone in the office was nice. However the cars are overpriced and not worth the purchase. When Amber drove the car up to the front I mentioned the brakes. About three weeks later I was taking the car to Pep Boys for an inspection due to the brakes, shaking when accelerating, and some type of noise when pressing the gas. Although I was still within the 30 day warranty Silver Rock wouldn’t cover what needed to be fixed because the engine light isn't on. So I've basically been ** out of 15k not including interest for 2012 Altima that may not last more than two years.
The warranty doesn’t cover anything but four things. Over four hundred dollars in payments per month for little 2k12 that is already having issues. As soon as I can get rid of this car I am. Don't waste your time with these unreliable overpriced vehicles. DriveTime is simply a buy here pay here type of place for people with bad credit. And for that you will surely pay the price.

While test driving the car it was making noise. I was told they just got the car and was unable to drive it prior but if I purchased the vehicle they would fix the issue. After taking it to their repair facility (Midas) for a total of 3 times in the past 3 months that I've had the car it is still NOT fixed. The rotors have been replaced twice and the brakes have been replaced twice. The car till this day still makes a loud noise and squeals when I stop. The DriveTime staff are now becoming very rude and condescending in their communications with me as it pertains to my car getting fix. I reached out to my warranty and they won't open a claim as it was a issue that the "dealer" was paying to fix. So I was told I would have to take it back to Midas for the 4th time to get it fix.
The manager & Quincy at this location are telling me there is nothing they can do either. I am suppose to just keep taking the car to the same place once a month and miss work for a issue that should have been resolved before they even SOLD me the car. Faulty brake system plus more than 3 repairs means I can file a LEMON LAW complaint against DriveTime. No one wants to correct the issue nor help me get the issue resolved so I will have to seek other alternatives. This is a VERY serious matter when dealing with a noise from the wheels and brakes but no one seems to care about customer service and the customer's experience. They just want you to take their word, sign, and drive off to than care less about the issue.

I purchased my car from DriveTime in April 2017. First my check engine light comes on in May 2017 then it rained and the inside of my was soaked. I informed customer relation of this. They told me to take to body shop. Took to body shop and was told it was the way the car was put together. Then about 3 months later car back in the shop at this goes on every 3-4 months. Mind you that every time it rains the inside of my car gets soaked.
This last time I contact customer relations and asked them since I had this car which is just 1 year and during this whole year my car been in and out the shop 5 times 6 including now it’s back in the shop needing 1400 more dollars of work done and it’s still raining in my car if I could trade it in for equal value of the car I have now which I think is not an unusual request. Now the run around starts. They tell me it’s the bank decision the bank tell me it’s DriveTime decision and DriveTime push me back to customer relations.

I would recommend offering better customer service by filling up gas tank, making sure car is detailed and that two keys are provided. Will not recommend going here because these details were overlooked. Car was dirty, gas tank was at 1/4 and no second key. When key issue was addressed we were told there’s nothing they can do because the one vendor they used doesn’t work with them anymore.

When you buy a 2017 the floor mats and owners manual should be in it. If it's not Drivetime should take care of it right away. As for the inspection on the car by Drivetime, they don't check anything but the looks. A brake light is out. Was told car would be washed and it was not. I know this all sounds petty but for 17,000.00 I would expect better service they. I don't like to be lied to right off the bat. Unhappy I am.

Purchase of my 2017 Nissan Altima. This was a good experience except I cannot understand how Drivetime can expect a new or first automobile buyer to come with insurance coverage before we know what we are going to buy. I was at the lot a lot longer than I wanted to be (830PM~1230AM) trying to get insurance on a car I purchased. Other than that the experience was well worth the car. Christina ** was awesome. Last year, I was approved on the website for a specific amount. Next I went to the dealership and was asked which car did I like. I test drove it and then was asked how much did I want to put down. I told the guy I was approved for the specific amount. He says that only certain cars fall under that down payment and the one I test drove wasn't one of them. He brings up a list on the computer of cars for that particular down payment and they were THE WORST group of cars that they had. They were all very small compact cars. Then he points out a 2012 Suzuki Kizashi. I had never even heard of this car but he said it was probably the largest and roomiest car on the list. The car was in another city so he sent someone to go get it.
After waiting 2 hours I felt obligated to buy this car. Only a year later and this car has had a new radiator, a new engine and now the transmission is bad so I have to file yet another claim with the warranty company. This the worst experience I've had when purchasing a vehicle. They sold me a lemon! And I am considering seeking legal advice on this matter.

So everything was going well. I was preapproved but the car I wanted was at another location... The store manager told me she was going to pick it up and she would be at my purchase location by noon. I got there at 1130. She arrived after 130 with a very unapologetic attitude and even saying there was no way she could go to that location and not get caught up with the employees who had not seen her in a while. To add insult to injury she came back with the wrong car. So needless to say the car she brought back was at a higher price point. I asked her if she could make an adjustment in price since it was her error and she said no. So the sales person and I had to take a 2 hour (total trip) to pick up the right car. Although the sales rep was professional and apologetic his manager surely was not. So what should have taken an hour to complete took most of my afternoon. Not great for me but hey I guess I am the one who needed a car.

I found a car on KBB.com and Autotrader.com. Both sites listed it as a 2015 Hyundai Sonata Limited. I checked in on DriveTime and it is listed as a Limited model. I call them before driving 100 miles to see the car. I referred to it as a Sonata Limited. Whoever I spoke with did not correct me. It is NOT a Limited model but a Sports model. Not good business practice in today's information age. I would be very careful dealing with this business.
