Nick and Clay were very knowledgeable about the process and their products, and they were fun to work with! I came in late but they didn’t make me feel rushed in the slightest. I’m incredibly happy with my new 2016 Jeep Compass, I never even thought I would be able to afford one but these guys made it happen!

The gentleman that helped my husband I was very nice, efficient and thorough. I left happy to have found a car that fit our family dynamic and mostly happy with the price. The interest rates are super high but I am aware that’s the cost of doing business with bad credit.

Wasn’t really happy that the car didn’t get wash and that it didn’t come with floor mats at all or they didn’t full the car up with gas. Every other dealership does that but Drivetime don’t so I that one thing that bother me about the whole thing. Other than that it was good overall paying experience.

I purchased a vehicle in January of 2019 and went to a Ford Dealership and they noticed a leak of oil, bent tire frame wheels and mix match tires on the car that I purchased so we took it back to the dealer and they order the tires for the front only and told me that fixed the leak. I discovered after the trial days of purchased that the car had gaskets leaks and cost me $445.00 in repairs. I would like to let people know that they do not inspect their cars as they state to the customer. We also inconvenience by having to rent a car to take my daughter to school and wait on the tire and rim for the car so that was a extra expense added to my pocket. I would not recommend anyone to this dealership. I worked for Target in Flowood, MS and my co-workers told me not to shop there because of some their bad experience with them. I should have listened to them.

On Saturday 03/09/19 I went into DriveTime (Charleston, SC) and was greeted by James who was very pleasant to speak with and he made me feel very comfortable. After going inside and giving him some information to find out what amount I was approved for we went to look at a few vehicles. Well, I wasn’t satisfied with any of them but it was one that I kind of like more then the others, so I told James that DriveTime was my first stop so I wanted to look on some other car lots before I make a decision. So James suggested that I put $200.00 on the vehicle to hold it and if I find a car somewhere else then he would reversed my money back to my card, I felt comfortable with doing that so I did.
Well, I ended up buying a SUV from another car lot so I called back to DriveTime to speak to James to have him reverse my money back to my card and the person that answered the phone said that he was busy, so I asked could I leave my name and number for him to call back and the man said maybe I can help you. So I told him about the transaction and that I needed to have my money reversed and he said, "We will have to cut you a check and it will take about 5 working days and we’ll call you once it get to our office."
I explained to him what James told me and he said, "Well because you did the transaction as a debit rather than a credit, it can’t be transferred back to your card." This has been a lesson learned because James never told me that I needed to do the transaction as a credit, if so I would have done it that way, he only said to make sure I do the transaction by card and not cash because I would have to wait on a check if I did cash.
Then on Monday I called back to DriveTime to try and speak to James just to see if the guy was telling me the truth and again another guy that answered the phone said James was busy. So I explained to this guy the transaction that was made and I told him what the 1st guy told me about receiving a check. So, he said, "Oh no you can have it put back on your card regardless if you did a debit or credit but you would have to bring your card to DriveTime to swipe it and it would be back on there." So I said, "Are you sure, because I live about an hour away and I don’t want to make a trip for nothing." So he says, "Yes I’m sure because it’s always been done this way for years." So I said, "Okay I’ll make the trip."
Then about 15 minutes later he calls me back and said, "You’re going to be receiving a check within 5 working days and we’ll call you when it comes in." So I said, "Wait, you just told me that I could come and have it put back on my card." Then he acts like he’s annoyed with me and said, "We will call you when it arrives." So I just said okay because at this point I don’t know what’s really going on and I didn’t want to make anyone mad, I just wanted my money back.

Great and easy experience, great customer service! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Not having to jump through fires and hoops like a normal dealership. I like the fact of the extra warranty in case something happens and the ease of the use of the warranty program. Will definitely recommend DriveTime to others. Even if you have good credit it's worth it not have to go through the hassle of the dealerships.

Outstanding experience Felt very welcomed and taken care of as if the customer care assistant was shopping with me and had my best interest at heart. This was my second go around with DriveTime. My first car buying experience was amazing! I went in under the impression that I’d be turned away or hassled just like the multiple dealerships I’d been to before. Everyone was down to earth and very easy going. I was absolutely in love with my first car but unfortunately it was totaled. Upon me going back I was nervous again but between Bridgcrest and DriveTime it was truly another spot on experience! I went to the Glen Burnie location and the sales rep Esther was amazing! She was nice caring and extremely determined to find me exactly what I wanted in the price range I was looking for and she did just that! The sheer atmosphere of this dealership is so calming and easy it’s crazy. And on top of that you're in and out with a car in a matter of just a couple of hours if that! Can’t thank them enough. They are truly the bomb!

My experience with Drivetime was way below pleasant. My daughter is listed on my bank account for emergency purposes only. I have income that is directly deposited into my account each month. The stuff I had to go through and have faxed to Drivetime was ridiculous. The more paperwork I got, the more they wanted. The military annuity I get isn't even counted because there is no paperwork stating how long I will receive it. Ridiculous. I get it for life. Because that's not actually on paper, they think it'll stop tomorrow.
My first visit to Drivetime was on Saturday. Tim ** knew that places were closed and he still had me call to get the proof of income letters. Seriously? It took 2 weeks to get this deal done and I didn't even get the car I wanted. I wanted a 2017 Ford Escape and Drivetime would not hold it for just a few days till the money order for the down payment got there. Come on. I ended up with a 2017 Kia Soul. Not much choice cause the down payments were way too high. It was just the most awful car buying experience ever. A lot more went on than that too. If you would like the rest, let me know and I'd be more than happy to explain it.

I went to DriveTime in Raleigh. I accompanied my husband, who was in the market for a car but due to his credit I became a co-signer/purchaser. His appointment was at 9; we didn’t leave until after 2pm and we noticed that the navigation feature on the vehicle did not work. We were instructed to call SilverRock to have the issue fixed within 5 days. I’m still baffled as to why it wasn’t fixed before we were interested in buying the vehicle. I understand that our credit may have not have been up to par but the entire experience could have been better.

I purchased a car from DriveTime a year ago for $20000. I noticed the mileage of all vehicles offered were 77000. Here I am with a car that just had catastrophic engine failure. I still owe $11000 on the car and the repair is $9000. DONT BUY A CAR FROM DRIVETIME. As the chances of it breaking down on you within one years time are tremendous. I'm crushed at the fact that I spent so much money on a car that only lasted 15000 miles.

My salesman (David) was awesome. I have no complaints with him and honestly he should be applauded for dealing with my attitude so gracefully. Round of applause David!! The finance end however seriously offended me. I work for a small locally owned company. After providing them with 2 months of paycheck stubs, them calling my employer to verify employment, they still insisted on me waiting to take possession of my car for almost a week until my next pay day so I could PHYSICALLY show them my actual paycheck!!! Because of David and the amazing deal on my Camry I did not go elsewhere and did as they requested. If it were not for David, DriveTime would of lost my business. So again, Kudos to David! Give that man a raise!

The required documentation for proof of income is to provide either three months of paycheck stubs or three months of bank statements which must be presented during the sales process. Extremely happy with the vehicle and approval. Unhappy with the cleanliness of the interior of the vehicle. Significant stains on driver's seat. Interior and trunk were not vacuumed. In past car buying experiences vehicles were detailed prior to delivery. Was waiting at the dealership for my salesman to finish with previous customer long enough for this to have been accomplished by manager or another associate.

Took way too long. Salesmen was not very attentive to my concerns or wants and he was very slow. Not knowledgeable at all about inventory. He took no time to see what I was looking for to satisfy me. Finally did get a car but service was not great.

This was by far the least stressful car buying experience I've had. Sherlan in FT Myers helped me a lot and I was able to find the truck I wanted with no haggling. I would say though it would have been nice to have the truck cleaned up and I put $3500 down and I was given my truck with a nearly empty tank.

Do not buy a car from here. Purchased the car. On Saturday took to get looked out since the check engine light came on Monday. The automotive shop informed me the car needed about $5,000 worth of work to be in decent shape. Also found out the car should've never passed inspection so their and my assumption is the car was illegally inspected. I had almost 2 pages of items and things needing done to pass inspection even though the inspection was just done in January and then the rest was other things to just be in good shape, also they had 14 other codes that they couldn't get to.

I purchased my car from Pensacola Fl. Brandon ** is awesome. The whole team there is awesome. They were pretty busy and stretched thin. However, they handled each customer w/ respect. I recommend some free snacks sometimes. Brandon explained everything to me from the time I applied to the few phone calls and emails we exchanged to me driving out the lot. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable young man. He treated my daughter and I like friends!! I would vote him for employee of the month, quarter or year hands down.

I came to purchase a vehicle for my daughter. I called the day prior inquiring about a car and that we would be in the next day. Specifically, a light green Ford Fiesta. After a couple of hours, we decide we will make the purchase. Unbeknownst to me, the interest rate is 24%!!!! I have almost PERFECT CREDIT!!!! No one told me DriveTime does NOT use a buyer's credit to determine the interest rate! Instead, they use some tiered system they made up which determines the interest rate to make more money!! This is highway robbery!
The only reason you gained my business was that I could not find this particular color anywhere. We drove two hours! A suggestion would be to notify customers of this so they have an option to obtain their own loan before wasting their time! The staff said there was nothing they could do! Even the GM-Oliver had no power to change this rate! I plan on getting my own loan for 4% and paying off this ridiculous loan ASAP! You will NEVER gain my business of anyone I know ever again! The only thing that made this experience somewhat bearable was the staff - apologetic, service was exceptional! Hats off to them for being subjected to conditions they have no control over.

My experience at DriveTime was great. It was fast and easy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I loved the option to reserve the car. The fact that I was able to be pre-approved in a matter of seconds and only need was to provide the documents took the experience to a whole other level.

I found a really nice car and I'm happy with my purchase. My only complaint is that the car wasn't washed before I left. I had to stop at the car wash because the windows were so dirty on the car. Most dealerships wash the car before you leave. Most dealerships also fill up the gas tank for you.

Let's start with the not so good. They only had 1 car in our price range, luckily we really liked that car so it was not a big deal. The wait to be seen was a little over an hour and whole process took somewhere close to 5 hours. The good part. The whole process was super easy. There was no haggling, everything was laid out in front you and what you saw is what you got. My credit is not the best, but I definitely got a payment I can manage.
The best part. Nick, our salesman was AWESOME! His ability to crack jokes and laugh with us as I anxiously bought my first car really put me at ease (well as much at ease as someone can be with horrible anxiety lol). Nick gave us time and space to talk and at no point did we feel pressured. Nick seemed more like an old friend than a salesperson. He was very patient with us and his smile never left his face. You could tell he was comfortable with his job by how good he is at it. He seemed to really believe in the company he works for (or does a fantastic job faking it). Nick rocks, give that man a raise! The manager who went over all our financial stuff was awesome too, he took the time to answer our questions and was polite and helpful. All in all this was it was a very good experience! Yes it is stressful, but the staff at the Cincy location are great and I recommend it to anyone looking for a new used car. Great selection for the 12k-15k range.

It puzzles me how you can pay money down on a car example I paid approx 4000.00 on a car and at the end of the day you are paying more for the car. That puzzles me... where does the 4000.00 go... does it go to Bridgecrest or does the salespeople get the money?

This disclosure outlines in detail the APR, finance charge, amount financed, total amount expected to be paid throughout the life of the loan, and total sales price. Additionally, the Retail Purchase Agreement also includes a breakdown of the items mentioned above, as well as the down payment configuration.

We spent three LONG days visiting car dealerships such as Kia of Greenville, McKinney Dodge, and Toyota of Easley. LITERALLY hours at each place! We had nearly given up and were completely deflated and defeated after being told, “We can definitely help you” time after time! We have some mistakes on our credit, but steady employment and a strong income. Someone told us to try DriveTime so we decided we would give it one last go. They were great! They got us approved in one day and we drive our beautiful new car off the lot less than a day later! Bill ** was so nice and helpful and the entire experience was great!! Bought 2010 chevy Colorado Lt - Truck had 3 different brand tires out of 4. Wiper blades were worn down. Oil hadn't been changed and had rust in it!! Took to the shop to get fixed. The truck should have been 100% when I paid for it.

You can have your money back. So I went to DriveTime Langhorne PA on Wednesday. I had completed the online application and had some questions. My sales associate Eddie was helpful. I then decided on a vehicle and said I will take it. I got a fair value on my trade and was happy. At the time of delivery I pointed out some issues with the tires and was told I would get a new FULL set of tires. The battery was dying and Edidie and Vince (his manager) said they would take care of it no problem. I said ok.
The VERY next day my car wouldn't start. I had to get a jump to get to work. I called to verify I could get all the work done. Upon additional inspection I noticed a bolt missing from the passenger side light. Also the air filter was black from dirt. I added that as well. I went to the dealership and was assured it would ALL be taken care of except for the boots. This was deemed body damage. I said it's only a bolt give it to me and I will put it in. Jason the manager on duty that day said "We can't do it if that's not satisfactory we can give you back your car and refund your money." I was furious and seriously consider doing just that.
I left and went to the place they told me would get my tires, battery etc. I get there and was told we are only supposed to replace 2 tires. I explained no that's not what was discussed. I had to call back and speak to Jason again. He said "Well we can do 3 or refund your money". Had I not just cleaned out my old car and running late for work I would have done just that!!! I am still furious and will NEVER go there or recommend them again. They got me in the car and stopped caring.

After searching for the right vehicle for weeks (on my own) I finally was able to find a truck I liked. I purchased my truck yesterday around 5pm and this morning on my way to work the check engine light comes on! Less than 24 hours later here I am dealing with car issues. I called the dealership and they told me to take the truck to Gearhead Automotive. After waiting an hour the mechanic stated they couldn't begin the work needed on the truck until they received approval from SilverRock. Then I would need to make an appointment to bring it back to complete the work.
So here we are taking off work less than 24 hours from purchasing the truck and no sense of urgency is being provided to new customers. This shouldn't even be happening. I called Darryl the manager at the Mesa office and he stated the issue is minor but failed to understand that I don't want to make appointments and endure the inconvenience of dropping the car off, going back to work, get picked up again to go get the car and so forth. I shouldn't have to deal with any of this less than 24 hours from my purchase. This is my THIRD car that I am purchasing through DriveTime.
My past experiences were nothing like this, however this time around the salesmen are acting as though they are doing me a favor. I had to search high and low to find a car I liked. I told Mike my sales guy what I liked and he showed me one car. I found others at other locations and had them sent to his location but he just sat back and did nothing. Darryl finally took over but now that he's helping me and the car is having issues I'm basically on my own since no one provides options for me. I have to find them myself! I understand a used car with many miles will eventually have issues but not this fast this soon. This is neglect on DriveTime's behalf. Certainly not being treated as a respected buyer let alone a 3rd time buyer. Very disappointed, I will not buy any more cars here again.

Since our vehicles are pre-owned and we can never anticipate if or when mechanical malfunctions might arise, each vehicle sold comes with a 30 day/1,500 mile Limited Warranty, along with an optional Vehicle Service Contract to assist in most situations.
In addition, every vehicle sold from DriveTime comes with a 5-day/300-mile Vehicle Return Program (VRP). The VRP gives our customer the ability to return the vehicle for any reason within the first five calendar days after purchase and terminate the Simple Interest Retail Installment Contract. My husband bought a 2015 Nissan Sentra for me to be able to get our 2 small kids around and they sold us a car with bad brakes rotors and the tire light came on within 5 mins of us leaving the dealership with the new vehicle. When we called to let them know about the problems we were transferred over to the SilverRock Repairs who told us we weren't covered for tires, brakes or rotors... Unfortunately we are not very happy with our recent experience with DriveTime on Roebuck Parkway in Birmingham Alabama.

Worst experience EVER! This Company not only sold me a used vehicle that when looked at by my own mechanic, was found to have an additive that looked the color of mustard in the radiator, was added to conceal a leak that was never disclosed! When I returned the car before the 24 hour deadline (clearly outlined in their contract) They promptly brought in the "Management team" and were so unhappy that I requested a FULL refund. They "banned" me from any drive time... ANYWHERE! They are cheating customers and it's hard to believe that they are still in business! I will NEVER recommend that anyone buy from them! Humiliating and horrible experience that will stay with me always!

All of the staff at DriveTime was courteous and friendly. We had to wait a bit because all sales members were busy with other customers. They were apologetic, but it wasn’t too long in comparison with other dealership experiences I have had. Jose was very upfront and went over each detail with me. This was at the Tallahassee office. My transaction was smooth as butter from the time that I drove off, maybe 2 hours. Carlo greeted me upon arrival, he was who I had been working with via email. I had forwarded to him all the necessary paperwork prior as well as what I wanted to test drive. Prior to going Brion contacted me to make sure that I was coming. After arrival Carlo passed me on to Brion for the test drive. She made sure I was please with the car. I must say that there was no pressure in any way whatsoever. That includes the additional products that they offer. I also dealt with Carlos who handled the tags and registration. I noticed that anyone who walked through the door was greeted with a smile and a, “How may I help you.” Highly recommended.

Everything was thoroughly explained to me i.e. How to use car features and the loan process. The salesmen were friendly and knowledgeable. I was very impressed! Before even going to the store I was able to do a lot online. I was able to look at detailed photos and choose the car that I was interested in. Shoutout to Ty! I went in knowing what type of car I wanted but he pulled out some other options that I fell in love with. He made the buying process so comfortable and kept it real with me my entire time at DriveTime. My experience and Drivetime was actually pretty good. Decent cars although most of them with very high mileage, Great staff and good customer service. The only problem is if you finance a car through drivetime your interest rate is through the roof! I have been paying on a vehicle for 2 years and owe just as much as I originally financed it for!!! Good luck going to another dealership and trading your vehicle in because you will be way upside down! Oh, and you can't trade your vehicle in a drivetime either... They don't take trades if you will be upside down. And most dealerships won't give you anything for your high mileage vehicle. Once you're suckered into drivetime you are stuck there for an eternity... Paying on a vehicle that will eventually have too many miles on it and too costly to fix. My advice, find a different dealership.

Well I bought a truck from DriveTime in Winston Salem and it was very easy, but 3 days later my part of my muffler fell off and they would not cover the expense of the repairs and my Warranty department would not cover it either. My that muffler was rusted all the way to the motor. Who checks that. Plus I drove it a hundred miles and the oil needed changed, so I would think before you invest in a car or truck before I buy again from them.

After what seemed to be a hassle-free transaction on December 24, 2018, we left the car lot with my daughter's new Chevrolet Cruze. Everyone was happy with the deal, including the sales manager. Payments were set up on automatic bank draft and were being on time every two weeks. On January 31, we received a phone call from the sales manager stating that DriveTime corporate could not verify my income and that we must return the vehicle. I am an owner/operator which means that I am self employed. I have a legal business and and plenty of verification as to my employment and income, including 1099 tax forms, check stubs, deposit slips etc. Bear in mind, all of this became an issue over a month after the signing of contracts.
February 5th, I received a frantic phone call from my wife stating that a wrecker truck was at our place of business hooked on to my daughter's car. Long story short, even after showing proof of payment I had to get the police involved to get the tow truck operator to drop the vehicle and leave our property. immediately called the dealership to find out what was going on and their response wasn't even believable. The sales manager stated: "We have no say in the matter, that's corporate office's call. Since it's up for repossession, there's nothing can be done to stop it except to return the vehicle". When I asked for corporate's phone number, I was told that they didn't have that information. After arguing for more than 10 minutes, I was finally given a toll free number to a manufactured housing company. The next phone call netted another bogus phone number to some media corporation - not DriveTime home office.
February 11th, I took the car to the car wash and vacuumed it out. I called the sales manager and told him that I was bringing the vehicle back, but I wanted a written statement that this transaction would be reversed and that it would not reflect a negative mark on my credit. Initially, he stated that he could provide that documentation. He placed me on a brief hold and came back to tell me that he could get that in writing for me once the vehicle was returned. Upon arriving at the dealership, I was greeted with a form that showed the contract was being reversed. I in turn, provided him with receipts of service work that I had done to the vehicle in hopes of getting some of my money returned. He stated that home office would evaluate the matter and issue me a refund once the matter was concluded.
Overall, this has been the most exhaustive and inconvenient experience in purchasing a vehicle that I have ever been associated with. I can't imagine a dealership that would do this to a repeat customer as this would have been our second purchase from them in 2 years. I went right down the street and purchased the same vehicle at Peltier Chevrolet. It was nicer, newer and less expensive with every option available. If there was any way to not leave a star, I would.

I have to say buying a car from your company has been my worst experience ever. I have had nothing but problems with my car and I only had it for 33 days when I started experiencing problems. I am going to make sure I let everyone I know not to buy a car from you. It's sad that you would sell a car with so many problems. I have a Kia Forte and it's only got 72 thousand miles on it. It is a 2012 and should not be having issues. It needs a crank sensor, a battery, and it may need a fuel pump.
The Kia dealership maintenance department also said that it doesn't guarantee it will fix the problem when those things are fixed. My check engine light is constantly popping on and off. And it doesn't accelerate right. I was actually almost in a bad accident the other day on the highway because it dropped from 60 miles an hour to 35 and I lost all power and the gas pedal. It would not accelerate. I had to pull over and get off an exit and let it sit for a minute and I was on the highway. Also the battery that was put in it is a lower voltage that is needed in the car. I was told that from the Kia dealership maintenance department themselves. I really hope you can service customers in a better way in the future. Thank you.

I gave DriveTime a try because a very persistent salesman named Emmanuel. I schedule a meeting with him for 2/07/2019. Prior to the meeting we discussed my employment, income and downpayment options. I sent over my information that was requested of me which was driver’s license, proof of income, residency and bank statements. I explained to Emmanuel that I currently did not have a vehicle and that I would have to Uber to DriveTime so please approve me before I come. I was told that I was already approved and all I need to do is come in. I scheduled my Uber and arrived at DriveTime at 2:06pm.
I met with Emmanuel and we reviewed my information and I test drove a 2017 Hyundai. I met with the sales manager and we discussed my down payment which was $600. I signed a document disclosing my payment amount as well as the terms and interest rate and credit report information. The sales manager begins to ask me questions about my employer which I was very honest about. Emmanuel left with the car to fill it with gas and clean it because it was empty and dirty. I was given the information to add the Hyundai to my father’s insurance and agreed to pay $600 down. The sales manager retreated to his desk and begin to process my loan documents.
Once Emmanuel returned, I informed him I was waiting to be added to my father’s insurance and a fax. Once the insurance was added I paid the $600 down payment with my debit card. Emmanuel was then called to the office where he was informed to retrieve my bank statement from the shredder. The manager came to me and requested a cancelled check because he said Bridgecrest denied my loan which was a lie because I called them myself I was told all financing is done in-house and they are only responsible after the loan is signed. I was told my bank statements and my pay stubs were fake and looked like I made them online. I was refunded and treated like a liar and fraud. It was insulting and very disrespectful.

My vehicle (Dodge Durango) had to be towed less than 24hrs after I bought it. I have been without a car since Saturday. I am not happy with this situation. I am going through the warranty protocol. The Vehicle now needs to be towed to another authorized repair location.

I recently wrote a glowing review for DriveTime - BUT AM RETRACTING IT!!! I didn't realize that once you receive the keys and copy of signed contract, it is not really over!!! I purchased a car from them this past weekend. I SIGNED the contracts etc. I was given car and keys. I was told I would NOT have to return until it was time to trade license plates. I received a frantic call only a day or so later "told" they needed me to travel back to the office immediately, as if I didn't work! Salesperson did not want to take no for an answer. This sounded like a VERY URGENT matter. The previous friendly treatment I had received from him during my purchase, had completely changed. I was treated like I had done something wrong or owed money on the car! They want me to come down to the office to "REDO ALL" of the paperwork.
Everyone, I consulted with that have purchased cars says this does not sound right!!! I called the rep and informed him that this sounds like a SCAM to redo figures etc. He denied it. I have been on edge and barely able to sleep concerning this situation. I am planning to consult with an attorney regarding this matter. I felt it necessary to report this matter because after purchasing MANY cars in my life this is not anything that has ever happen to me. In addition ALL of the papers are TOO many for you to read every word. I received a great new car that had NOT at ALL been cleaned and also has the with light on stating cars needed to have air put in its tires.
This is stuff I was left to do upon receival of vehicle. I did not complain after realizing it at home, although that is unheard of. Now, I am asked to sacrifice my time and go back there to REDO ALL papers. I had agreed originally to go back on Saturday to "see these" papers or possibly sign it when they redo it. But I now realize this matter is too big for me and smells like a TRICK/SCAM!!! Once this has been acknowledge by them, I do not want to receive any harrassing calls. The reason they gave for wanting to redo ALL the papers is that they forgot to have me sign ONE thing regarding trade in that was forgotten, BUT ALL papers need to be redone! They can write the info on the trade in on ONE paper and if it sounds accurate, I will sign. Other than that, I would have to consult with an attorney.

St. Peters location - On Monday we made an appointment to come in and test drive a van on Thursday afternoon. Devin said he would have the van there in plenty of time for us to test drive it... We arrived at 1 p.m. Devin was not even working that day and the van had not been brought in from the Lindbergh dealership for our appointment. Oddly enough I received a text at 9 am reminding me of our "appointment". What a joke. Another salesperson said "We can get the van here in a few hours." We already waited four days. We purchased our new van elsewhere.

We went into the dealership looking to trade in our SUV which was a gas guzzler and not reliable by any means. We looked through so many choices and finally with the "amazing" recommendation of the salesman stating that the 2016 Dodge Caravan we settled on would be the best family car for us. It gonna be reliable and stay with our family for years and years to come age said.
We left the lot feeling so happy with our new vehicle. We take a trip a month and a half after purchase and in the middle of our trip the vehicle broke down. Of course at this point the car was will not drive anywhere so we get it towed to a local mechanic who tells us that it sounds like transmission problems. Today mechanic calls back and says that the van needs a whole new transmission. The vehicle is not barely 2 years old and it needs a new transmission. Barely sold to us not even 2 months ago and needs a new transmission?
You know we went with this as we needed something better for our family and guaranteed to be reliable. We are now out $100 plus another 75 for the tow. Thank god we got the extended warranty. But having to use it almost 15 days after the limited expired just doesn't seem right. I really don't know what to do at this point because this van was a nice purchase at first but seems to be more issue than it worth.

From the moment I arrived I was greeted by a salesman (Sergio **) at the door. Kinda had a SUV in mind. Was looking for a second vehicle for my wife. From that point I was in and out in 3hrs and was never pressured during process by sales team. Very relaxed process. Test drove the SUV I had seen online and ended up purchasing it. My salesman was very knowledgeable and presented all details in a professional manner to me. Was introduced to the sales manager who also was polite and professional. For someone who use to be in new car sales, this was a wonderful experience. I drove 80 miles to visit them. Would definitely recommend anyone in the Knoxville area to consider checking DriveTime out.

I purchased a car from the Mobile location in October of 2017. I’ve had a great experience with DriveTime/Bridgecrest (their finance company). The car buying experience was easy, and the finance company will work with you if unfortunate situations arise. Since the website gives you the amount of your down payment, I was able to plan for my purchase. I also like that I was able to get a late model car with low miles for an affordable price.

I am a single mother with poor credit. I heard about DriveTime and how they will help and finance anyone. First I had a extremely high interest which I knew I would. I was ok with that at least until I could build my credit through them. So the interest wasn’t as much of an issue. Well at DriveTime you make two car payments a month. That was the second downfall. Still I got past that. Even though I had a bad feeling I thought this is this best I can do because of my credit.
Then I bought a 2009 Toyota Avalon. A car I know well. My mother owned one and Toyota’s are great cars because I have owned 3 myself. I took the car on a test drive and tried to turn on the GPS screen and nothing. The salesman told me I needed to update it and that’s why I wasn’t working. Then I noticed not even the radio or hands free was working. So he assured me I had this 30 day warranty and their mechanic would fix it. So I purchase the car. Then two days before I was going to bring the car to check the GPS and hands free screen system, the compressor goes out. Brakes Plus replaced the compressor for me and the next week I’m off to see about the GPS, etc. I took my Avalon to a different very highly rated family owned but contracted through DriveTime.
I get a call from the owner of the mechanic shop he was so angry, not at my at DriveTime. He asked if I was sitting down because he had to give it to my straight and he would feel very dishonest fixing this car because this car is a flood vehicle. He said is has severe water damage. All electrical is either going out or will go out within 6 months. He could not believe that they sold me this car. He said they supposedly have their cars inspected and he said there is no possible way a certified mechanic did an inspection on the car. He called DriveTime for me and demanded they give my down payment back in full and they will pay him for his time. Thank god this honest mechanic helped me! He could’ve changed DriveTime and sent me on my way instead he demanded I be treated fairly.
There I was after 3 weeks of hell, only driving my car for maybe a week and depending on riders for my son and I. I am telling my sorry to warn those with bad credit or little credit to try places who source outside financing. These in house financing car dealers can be very dangerous. They feed on us at the bottom of the credit scale. They sell cars that are damaged or low quality. They shine them up and touch up the paint but they do not check the cars for water damage. Please try other dealers. Just try.
After this experience I went to a big dealership in the PHX they financed me for half the rate and got me in a quality certified car. I feel blessed even though this was a horrible experience. If I had waited past the 30 day warranty I would’ve been out a car. I have one single payment a month, not two. I am happy and loving my newer Avalon with half the miles! When my mom and I went to look at. Are the dealers in the lot were sooo nice and so willing to help us. Then when we went back for the refund we were ignored and were treated rude as if we were in the wrong! They should’ve been ashamed and apologetic! Nothing.
Please I am taking time to write this to warn single women and/or poor credit consumers not to go here! Also very very overpriced! You pay for having poor credit in many ways when you go here. It’s a shame! Do not go here! Thanks for letting me vent and share my story. I am one who writes good reviews when deserved. This is my first bad business review to date and I’m 41.

Fast sale and good 2016 Dodge van. I was just upset when ask about a small dent and scratch by tail light and was told could not be fixed by salesman that’s why I gave a three star. But everything is good so far.

I bought one car from Owings Mills. It was great. It was totaled, bought another, not so great. It has warning lights on the dash, low air in tires, no gas and an open recall. I want to know how to remedy these issues, if anything.

In addition, DriveTime provides a Recall Acknowledgement at the time of contracting which indicates any open recalls on your vehicle that need to be performed at an original manufacturer’s location. Not have been purchased me a 2017 Kia Soul from the DriveTime in Salem Virginia and the salesmen stated between West Virginia and Virginia DMV to see if my tags had arrived yet through the mail and if they had lived that they would reissue me a set of 30-day tags for another month until my tags. Well let him hold. They never called me. Me being a busy business owner forgot and got pulled over for expired tags and got a ticket for $160 Blackhawk DriveTime while I'm sitting there with the officer and they stated to me that there was no such thing said to me and that they didn't believe that their sales representative state that they would send me out and I get a phone call from DriveTime and they told me that they're going to look into it.
I called back in the DriveTime to see if they were going to assist me in paying this hundred and sixty some-odd dollar ticket and all the sudden there's been a change in my file on the 27th of November and it was my fault that I didn't get attacked. Well how is it my fault when you didn't call me. You didn't reissue tags. You can somehow. Probably at this point it's looking like that they have went in and alter their documentation because the officer heard them say that they would make no statement that they wouldn't give another 30 days instead of tags and then all the sudden computers have changed to $160 ticket mileage, off of work.

I have financed a truck from DriveTime for 2 years now and in that 2 years I have only driven it 5 times. The truck has been in the shop more than I have driven it. The extra warranty I purchased isn't worth the paper it is written on, doesn't pay for anything and I tried to get help from, this company and no one would help. Now I have a truck I cannot drive nor trade, too much equity because they have overpriced their vehicles. So I have to finish paying off the loan and all it's doing now is collecting dust in the driveway. I would not recommend this place to no one. False advertisement.

Please keep in mind that at times repairs will be needed on the vehicle that will be considered a non-covered component and would be considered the customers’ cost of ownership.
It is important to know that any DriveTime customer can trade in their vehicle at anytime and anywhere. If there is a remaining balance due on the account after the trade-in appraisal amount, DriveTime would not be able to assist with any of the remaining balance. Regarding the total price of the vehicle, we provide a Federal Truth in Lending Disclosure during the contracting process. This disclosure details the APR, the finance charge, the amount financed, the total amount expected to be paid throughout the life of the loan, and the total sales price.

I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape from a Phoenix AZ location - Just after the 30 warranty expired the transmission had problems, major problems. Was replaced and the repairs that weren't covered by the extended warranty were picked up by DriveTime. It took 3 weeks for the shop they recommended to do the work. Car was in worse condition than before we took it in. Same problems as before plus now it runs horribly and the heater doesn't work. Out an additional 800$ on a rental plus the payments I made still. Now NO car and no rental. Was not worried about the payment, even though high I thought I was getting a decent car. Would have been better off just buying actual lemons instead of this car, at least I could of had lemonade to drink while I am walking.

The price for an almost-brand new truck was amazing and I am very happy with it. It was a great experience and would definitely recommend them to others. Tracy was great, and I would recommend him.

Bought a car on 1/3/19 and the next day the transmission blew while driving it!! Was told I would be put through to the Maintenance group to have it fixed. I said absolutely not because I hadn’t even had the car 24 hours. Put through to manager, he stayed until the tow truck brought us to the dealership and he put me in a different car. Just pissed because I had just filled the old car up with a full tank of gas and everything.

Bought a 2016 Nissan Versa from Tallahassee FL location. With 200 miles left in 30 day warranty "Check Engine" light came on. Mechanic read the code and said it was a stored hard code and someone erased it so it wouldn't be seen. Hmm salesman said all cars are checked over real good including any check engine light codes so could they have erased it instead of fixing it? Now 145 miles past the warranty car will no longer run. Haven't even made first payment and car already is junk. Can't even drive it. Run as far as you can from these people. Do your research.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! I recently purchased a car at DriveTime in Columbus, Ohio. The actual buying experience was great, the person who helped me was very nice and worked with me to get me a car. A few days after driving it I noticed it pulling to the right, I had a 30 day warranty with SilverRock so I took it to a place in their network for an alignment. The dealership I took it to informed me that I had 3 bad tires, needed an alignment and the battery tested extremely low. They called in the claim and were told the battery and alignment are covered but not the tires.
They refuse to replace them, and continue to fight with me about it as if it were going to bankrupt them to do so. They are ignoring the full diagnosis of the tires that state they are cupped on the inner and outer tread, and the tread is reading at 5/32, 5/32 and 4/32. This cupping not only causes road noise and a less than smooth ride, but it causes me to hydroplane when it's raining. When I mentioned this to the manager, Morgan, he simply told me all cars hydroplane all the time and there is nothing wrong with these tires.
So I want to warn you that this is how they handle their business, they are jeopardizing the SAFETY of their customers and ignoring the warnings from 2 different mechanics. They do not feel this is their mistake nor should they fix it. I flat out told them I do not feel safe on the road with the condition of these tires but they continue to dismiss my claims and talk to me as if I were a child. Now I realize I bought a used car, but there is no excuse for it to have these issues that should have been checked and replaced before I drove it off the lot. DriveTime and SilverRock are highly unprofessional, unreasonable and are perfectly fine with me driving on dangerous tires that can easily be replaced. I feel taken advantage of and completely unsafe in my newly purchased vehicle. If I had the option to return it I would, but I no longer have my original car. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

I bought a 2014 Jeep Patriot. They did hold it for 2 weeks till I came up with the $500. Then when I went to pick it up there was a totally new guy that sold me the vehicle. I purchased the GPS and it said the battery was low so all he said was driver's little bit and then call warranty company. The same day CenturyLink was down so they gave me a 3-day temporary plate so I went back 4 days later not knowing that he emailed me replacement plate because you never gave me a call. And I live 45 miles away.
On that day I brought it to his attention that the windshield wiper fluid wasn't working because somebody put water in it and it froze. He was quickly telling me just to call the warranty company or to take it up to Meineke. So I guess I'll my next day off I got to drive round trip about a hundred miles to go get it checked out and to get the battery checked out. Oh yeah on top of everything on it needed a oil change but the guy just told me to contact the warranty company and he said Judy tells people to get a oil change within the first month of purchasing a car but he never told me when I picked up the car. Just be wary when you buy a vehicle DriveTime in Albuquerque the one across from CarMax. They want your business but they're quick to get you out.

Awesome customer service! We bought just what we wanted just how we wanted with no pressure and with payments affordable to us! We love our vehicle! It is awesome! DriveTime in Chandler, AZ is the best! Their cars are clean, shiny, and eye catching! We made an appointment and were seen at our appointment time! No extra sitting and waiting. Everyone was awesome all the way to the beginning when I did my app online. I received a call from the Lafayette rd location. Do not remember the CSR that called me immediately after I submitted my app. She was very polite and helpful. We showed up to shadeland ave. And the wait was long but worth it, we were shown cars while we waited for a salesman to be freed up, like I said everyone was kind and courteous and Bryon and Nicholas were very helpful in assisting us in driving home in our new vehicle even stayed late to ensure we had everything we needed, thanks Bryon. We know you are commission, but you and Nick's effort in making sure we drove home in a new car doesn't go unnoticed. Thanks guys... We will recommend DriveTime to our family and friends.

We love our 2010 traverse. Connor was a huge help in getting us into our suv. My wife has wanted a traverse for sometime now. It I am happy that Connor could help me make her happy. She is enjoying it a great deal. She is actually driving again. I bet she put 100 miles on it in just the first 24 hours. She has even cried a little because she has it and of course because I traded my pickup to get it for her. I will recommend anyone to come see Connor or anyone at drivetime to by a vehicle. Went to look at a car at the S. Decatur DriveTime in Las Vegas. We were looking at a hybrid. For some reason, the battery was dead. The sales rep took quite a while in trying to unlatch the hood. After approx 10 min, I went in to tell the manager. He was sitting at the counter working on the computer. When I told him of the problem he informed me that he was writing a sale, and all of his help were busy. Needless to say we thanked the sales rep and left. I was shocked at the attitude of the manager. I guess the $20, 000 car we were looking at wasn't any big deal. I would definitely not recommend this car dealership.

The people were very nice, and I appreciate a fresh start, because I have been through hell the last few years. But 13 hours. They just kept telling me he will be in in an hour to an hour and a half with van. I waited all day. As I said the people were great. Someone from other dealer should have been sent up with van and taken back something from this lot. To have a salesman go over 3 hours from here to pick it up and bring it back while a customer sits there all those hours is insane.

This was a very bad experience for me. Long story short original vehicle I wanted to purchase would not start and the vehicle I left the lot with the transmission was slipping. I ended up returning that vehicle. Low down payment but very high interest rate. You will pay for 3 vehicles by the end of loan cycle. Think twice before going here. Out of desperation and a convenient low down payment!!!

Please know that all of our vehicles sold from DriveTime are pre-owned and inspected prior to being placed on our sales lots. Since the vehicles are pre-owned and we can never determine if or when mechanical concerns might arise, each vehicle is sold with a 30 day/1,500 mile Limited Warranty along with an optional Vehicle Service Contract to assist with most situations.
Regarding the interest rate, while we work very close with our financing partner, Bridgecrest, we do also accept outside financing from your choice of a financial institution.

My in store experience was amazing. My customer service representative Mrs. ** was very helpful, she explained everything so thoroughly, and she was very kind and sweet. My after the store experience when I drove my car off the lot, I realized my floor mats were missing (the ones that were in the car in the back seat did fit my car). I was told my car had Bluetooth capability (it didn’t), and lastly my car manual wasn’t for my car. Overall, I would have two different ratings.

My first time at DriveTime, before I went I was really not looking forward to another long drawn out day just to be sent home empty handed. My first assumption was, this is all too good to be true, especially for a person with less than perfect credit. As soon as my husband and I walked in we were greeted as if we were millionaires. Mack and Jeremy were very nice. Mack actually started our process, I handed him my 3 required documents and that was it. Within just a few minutes he was back at our table, he did not have what we wanted but we did find what we were looking over the internet. Once I told him, "Yes we would take it," he was on the making arrangements to pick it up in Kingwood. It was already after lunch but he did not care, he sent someone right away to make that long trip and bring it back the same day. They stayed open late just so we could get the truck the same day. They were until almost ten p.m. just to satisfy us a customer.
We have never been treated as nice when buying a car. 99 percent of the time when a person has credit issues the car salesman will be very rude and unconcerned, but not here at this Drivetime. They were all great, new what they were doing and very helpful. If you're looking for a good car or truck definitely go to Tyler Drivetime.

My husband and I came to DriveTime in Downey. Both salesman that assisted us were decent, which validated me giving you guys one star. The following day my mother was admitted into the hospital so we didn’t really get a chance to drive the car until Thursday. Thursday we noticed the brakes were bad. Took it into one of the repair shops in their network who informed me that it would take at least 3 hours seeing as they must complete a full inspection of the vehicle. They performed the repairs and now today is Sunday and still the brakes are NO GOOD! DriveTime is closed today, tomorrow is Christmas Eve and they will be closed until January 7th according to one of their salesman.
We are driving out of town to see family for Christmas and now the vehicle may or may not be covered under the warranty because of their lack of professionalism and honesty about the condition of the vehicle. I called the repair shop and they told me they only repaired the front brakes so if it is now the back brakes they can’t replace them until DriveTime is open to approve the repairs. This has been a horrible experience and I would like to return the car and get my deposit back. This car buying experience has put the cherry on top for a terrible Christmas for me this year. Thanks for that DriveTime. Extremely Dissatisfied.

The description of DriveTime says affordable payments. That's a joke. My online pre-qualification said I was approved for $0 down payment. This applies only to certain vehicles. Found one I was interested in that would have been $250 down. Asking price was $13,395. Payments were going to be $218 every two weeks for five years. That comes up to $28,340. I'm baffled at how people can give such great reviews after paying double the asking price on used vehicles.

At DriveTime, we strive to provide the most accurate information during the pre-approval process and it is important to keep in mind that these decisions are pre-approvals and they are not guaranteed. When you arrive at the dealership your down payment requirements are subject to change based on the information provided such as proof of residency, proof of income and credit score, in addition to your selected vehicle of choice.
Regarding the total sales price of the vehicle, DriveTime and Bridgecrest, our loan servicing company, work with customers who have less than perfect credit. This can cause the Annual Percentage Rate (APR) offered to be a bit higher than expected. For this reason, we go over the Federal Truth in Lending Disclosure during the contracting process. This disclosure includes a complete breakdown of the APR, the finance charge, the amount financed, the total amount expected to be paid throughout the life of the loan, and the total sales price.

I bought a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse and for the most part it was a decent experience but kept being lied to when car was being delivered and ultimately made me late to a family gathering. The car was 1.5 hours late from when they said it would be there.

The employees at Huntsville DriveTime are wonderful. They went out of their way to get the vehicle I needed. I drove the vehicle off the lot and the problems started. The engine kept shutting off. Took car back. They sent car to repair shop. Repair shop said engine needs to be replaced. I told them that I wanted my money back as I had not had the car 24 hours and gave them a big deposit all in cash. They took the vehicle and did paperwork where it was turned back into them and sent the vehicle to the repair shop to get it fixed. I was told that they couldn't issue my deposit that I had to wait for a check to be sent. How long does this process take.

In situations such as these, please know that providing our customers with the appropriate refund is a top priority. However, the speed at which we can provide our customers with their refund depends entirely on the method by which the original payment was made. When down payments are made with a credit card, refunds can be processed same-day, as long as the original card and card holder are present. When down payments are made by cash or debit card, a refund must be issued in the form of a live check. This process can take up to 14 days, as it requires a live check to be created and sent from our corporate office. It is important to note that DriveTime is unable to provide customer refunds in the form of cash, as it creates security and liability risks.
That said, I want to apologize again for any frustration this situation has caused. Please know that we would sincerely appreciate another opportunity to have you as a customer in the future.

We purchased a GMC from Alex ** in Bedford. While buying the car, Alex mentioned that if there was anything wrong with the car he was positive the warranty company would cover it. Was that an indication that something was already known about this vehicle? We even had the vehicle inspected within the timeframe but those things must have been hidden to sell the car.
Bad motor & transmission after only 5 months. The 5 year warranty doesn't even cover all the repairs, so we will have to pay for a portion. We have received a very nonchalant attitude towards the situation. We have been bounced back and forth, missed time from work, and frustrated over not having this situation expedited. The warranty company will pay for a portion of your rental, but for only so many days. You have to cover the expenses upfront. Please know that if DriveTime is the only option you have, that you need to be prepared to stand alone and possibly be stuck with a bad vehicle. We are currently a week into this, so I will update my review after this is all final. My wish is for a different car that has been truly inspected. Signed FRUSTRATED.

Salesman would not take the time to verify factory warranty. Tried to sell me a new car with peeling paint and water leaks. Would not let me have the car checked out without buying it first. Sales people were rude and need training in customer service skills. Terrible customer service in Mobile, Alabama. Stay away from this place. It’s run like a shady small time dealership.

Took too long for paperwork. Tried to hide additional fees we did not know about such as financing warranty for next five years that expires in 50 thousand miles. Would have paid additional $10,000.00 plus in finance fees bringing total car value from $13095.00 to over $35900.00 plus. Also hid additional fees to finance additional $1500 on top of car price. What was that? Not to happy. First time I dealt with drive time. Probably will be the last. Only put half tank of gas in it. Could have at least washed and detailed it with a full tank of gas. Also could have reduced the price a thousand or two thousand dollars for all the trouble. Going back and forth and the charges me double the down payment. They corrected that but now I have to wait for the bank to update and credit my account.
