    My car was purchased on Friday May 15th. I drove it 50 miles and it wouldn’t run after that. I called the manager and told him I needed to work all weekend and couldn’t have a car that wouldn’t run. He told me to get a jump and get there by 6pm before they close and he could order me a new battery. I told him I’d rather get the Focus and asked if someone could tow the car and help me into another car. My company CEO was going to be in town this week. They closed and I went all weekend with no car. We had a rain storm and my trunk was flooded so I really just want to return. The car. I should have went with my gut when manager said my rim wasn’t fixeable because its cosmetic pic attached.

    Please know that every one of our pre-owned vehicles goes through an initial inspection to make sure that our quality standards are met. However, there are some instances in which mechanical concerns may appear after the sale. For this reason, we provide a Limited Warranty that offers coverage within the first 30-days of sale or 1,500-miles driven, whichever comes first. A Vehicle Service Contract is also offered through SilverRock as an optional product at the time of sale, to assist in most situations after that.

    We want our customers to feel confident and reassured with their vehicles, which is why every vehicle comes with a Vehicle Return Program (VRP). This allows our customers the capability to fully inspect the vehicle and get comfortable with their purchase. It also gives our customers the ability to return the vehicle for any reason within the first 5 business calendar days, or 300 miles driven. The guidelines for this program are outlined on page one of your Retail Purchase Agreement.

    I purchased a 2013 Ford Escape that had 92,000 miles on it. When I purchased the vehicle I was really concerned about the high mileage, but was reassured by the sales person that the car was in tip top shape & shouldn't be in need of repairs anytime soon. I was even told that the tires & brakes on it were brand new. So, I had $1000 down & financed 17,000 because I have crap credit & ended up with over $5,000 in interest. 2 months after having the car I started hearing the brakes scrub. I took the car to my local mechanic at Tuffy. The brakes & rotors needed to be changed. I paid $450 for new brakes & rotors.

    While there the mechanic tells me I am going to need new tires, I say, "That don't sound right. The tires are brand new. I've had the car 2 months & I barely drive." He shows me the tires. They look new on the outside, but are showing wires on the inside wall, meaning that, there is something wrong with my alignment, or the "new" tires weren't actually new. My mechanic tells me that my alignment looks good.

    3 weeks later I pay $800 for 4 new tires. Then the battery dies. I pay $60 for a new battery, which was a pain in the butt to get to! Ya'll this is just the beginning... I have had this car for 18 months and it has been broke down more than it's driven. Thank God my husband knows his way around cars & motorcycles, otherwise we would have paid more in repairs than what we paid for the car. I have only put 8,000 miles on the car and here is the list of repairs we have made to this "tip top shape" "completely inspected" "totally reliable" "You have nothing to worry about." Vehicle.

    Brakes, 4 Tires, Battery, Radiator, Water Pump, All new Hoses, Timing Belt & adjustments, Alternator, Electrical problems, Problems with the fuel delivery system, and now that my husband has torn apart the damn engine because it still wasn't running well, we find that there are missing seals, gaskets, and O rings in the engine! Inspected my **! Someone did a half/ass job of putting the car back together to start with. You know... Fixed it just well enough to sell it! And I am not the first person to leave a review like this about Drive Time. Don't do it. Go somewhere else. And when you go somewhere else, take your own mechanic and demand to look underneath the vehicle.

In order for SilverRock to process a claim for a covered repair, the Repair Facility would have to provide the necessary information to confirm the failure.     The most important thing that it was missing is the Bluetooth set up. I specifically wanted a car with Bluetooth and the ad said that it was there. I assumed that it was not available because I had not signed up yet. Not the case it is not available in the car at all. Also there are no DVD players.     I am happy and concerned at the same time. When I drove home and parked I was automatically locked out because the key fob had no battery so I had to leave the car parked overnight to go to Auto Zone and buy a key to unlock the car. Do I get a second set of keys? I understand that Covid19 has changed how things are getting done but I have also left messages and emails and no return call yet regarding my issue. Thank you.

    We purchased a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson with 17,000 miles trying to have a low monthly payment and a 60 months loan. When we dealt with Priya sales person We felt rushed, ignored and no answered questions. When We checked asked and checked with Priya about length of loan And she assured us that was 5 years or 60 months. We got rushed thru signing contract. Priya said she’ll emailed to us. When we got home which is 150 miles away we found out that loan term was 72 months. It’s absolutely outrageous and dishonest of her part. Priya needs training and to be absolutely honest and have 100% integrity.

    We have no work right now and the $1000 down payment we need to get it back immediately. Today 4/29/20 when we returned vehicle we didn’t get clear and detailed information about refund. The one comment that supervisor mentioned was that They’ll go thru fees that we’ll be paying for. It’s absolutely wrong. We are aware about 5 days to return vehicle if not completely satisfied. We’re not satisfied. We feel cheated and scammed.

    THE application and approval process went smooth and fast. However once you sign the paperwork and take the car off the lot good luck. A few days after we had the car, we complained about a noise and acceleration issue the car was having but we were told in the car model those cars are like that. So we trusted their knowledge. 6 months later, the transmission went out and we contacted Drive Time and pretty much their comment was, "Too bad so sad" and that "you should have gotten an extended warranty."

    It would be nice if they really cared about people and did the right thing 1) sympathize with their customer and 2) stand behind their product because you could be a single mom and this is your only mode of transportation. They literally did not offer any options and guess what? The car is now useless to me so I may not be able to get to work to make the payments because I can't afford to get the car fix. Do your research before you buy and now I believe the bad reviews that are out there with them. It happened to me.

    The cars could have been cleaner. There was smoke residue all over the windows and the car smelled like cigarettes. They never tell you the total cost of the whole car. It went from 12995 to 33000 by time it's paid off. That is way beyond highway robbery, but when you need something to drive there is no choice. Will definitely not deal with them on my next car.

    I purchased a 2010 Jeep Compass about 3yrs ago, and I went to DriveTime because I needed a second car for my son. I was going through an ugly divorce and my son was able to drive and get my other two children to school, and daycare, and he was able to get back and forth to school himself as well. So I gave him my other car and I drove the Jeep Compass. After two months of having the car the steering wheel started shaking, so I took it to a mechanic shop, and I thought I had a warranty, and when we called the drivetime company they said I was out of my warranty window.

    The mechanic told me the issue with the car could not be damaged over two months, that it was a long term issue before I purchased the car, because it had something to do with the frame of the car, So I said, "Ok my mistake," because I brought the car and didn't take it directly to a Mechanic so I will say it was my mistake. But this is not my mistake now. I pay $480.00 per month for a 2010 Jeep compass, and I have been late several times, I am not going to lie, and I have had extensions when my life got crazy in this last three years, but this year I was so hurt by drive time, I was in tears, and only one agent was compassionate enough to take the time and explain my bill, my daily interest rates, and why it was so important to start paying on time, and he made me realize I was being RIPPED OFF!!

    I have paid $14,119.62 into my drivetime account, my original loan is for $14,996.13 and ONLY about $2,000 WENT TO THE ACTUAL PURCHASE OF THE CAR!!! $12,119.62 WENT TO INTEREST!! As of today my pay off amount is $15,097.13 on a 2010 Jeep Compass. Meaning if I paid my car off today I would be paying DRIVETIME $29,216.75 for a 2010 Jeep Compass used car. I can show my online statements, I was in disbelief, I felt like who does this to anyone, who gets over on anyone like this!! I mean I am a nurse fighting this covid-19 virus, risking my life, and this company is taking advantage of people with poor credit. So please I hope this help's someone else, please don't get ripped off by this company, the only reason I keep paying them is because I don't want a repossession on my credit.

    Any company that takes advantage of people with poor credit this badly should not be in business... Period... I hope I helped others avoid this company. I was disappointed in the fact that the first car I drove off in quit on me the very night that I purchased the car. I had to turn that one in and get another. I fell for the first car, so the replacement does not excite me as much as the first. They did not fix the first car because they could not get the car to do what it was doing with me.     Buyers beware! After purchase service doesn't exist. The car I bought 34 days ago is parked with a faulty transmission. I've been given the run around trying to use my $5k warranty so now the car's parked. I have no ride for 3 weeks while I wait for an appointment to have it serviced and the second car payment will be due in two weeks.     I brought a 2010 Honda Accord for $18,000 from the Monroeville PA location. It was the worst car I have ever had. First of all the car is worth about $6500-$7500 when I bought it. Well that wasn’t a problem. I told him about the air-conditioning. He told me it was just cold in Pittsburgh at the time which was a bunch of bull. It turns out the air condition had a major problem.

    After that within 30 days I called them about the tires which were dry rotted. They told me to call Silver Rock. Silver rock said there was nothing they can do. I thought the starter was going on the car within two months of me getting it and I wouldn’t listen to the mechanic. He was trying to tell me that the engine was no good. And the starter was OK. So here I am two years later and the engine finally quit working. I am glad I am done with them. It was the worst experience. Overpriced so when I thought I was grateful that somebody was doing business with me with my circumstances it turns out that I would rather not even had a car. I hope this helps you in your dealings with DriveTime and silver rock. I don’t recommend at all.

    Today I decided to visit DriveTime in Glenburnie Maryland. I must say I didn’t really have high hopes of leaving with a vehicle.     Overall the experience was good but the process is most definitely slow. I originally came in the trade in my car, but nowhere online did it say that you have to have a certain loan amount left to trade in your car. Then when I said I’ll just get a car anyway I was presented with some great options after I initially left the store for 10 min. They didn’t tell me exactly what I was approved of until after I came back and asked.

    Everything you do at DriveTime you have to ask even if you have to write out your questions weeks ahead of time. Now the car purchase was smooth, but what really took the cake was when I got home after driving the car around getting used to it, I decided to run a scanner on it and I received a p1d61 code. I’m trying to understand why sell a car with a code on it. At this point they should run a scanner on every car in front of every customer before the final purchase.

In addition, we provide a Limited Warranty that covers the first 30 days of the sale, or up to 1,500 miles driven, whichever comes first. An optional Vehicle Service Contract is also available to our customers to purchase, which offers assistance in most situations thereafter.

    I had to take my vehicle in for a major repair 3 days after purchase. On my way home one day the check engine light came on. Took it to a shop and it was a $706 repair that was needed. Yes the warranty covered it, but I lost a day of work. This is something that should have been seen before. On top of that the car is sold with mismatch tires. Yes I failed to see that before purchase, but any dealer will put on new tires that match if needed. Will be posting my review on Yelp as well.

    Please know that every vehicle is evaluated at our inspection centers so we can detect any mechanical malfunctions that need to be addressed prior to being placed on our lots for sale. We take pride in our products which is why we take every step possible to make sure our vehicles are safe and measure up to the national highway standards. If our customers are not pleased with their purchase, they can bring it back, no questions asked within the first 5 business days or 300 miles. Be advised this time-frame excludes the date of sale and any days that we are closed, such as recognized holidays and Sundays.

    In addition to the VRP, every customer that purchases a vehicle with DriveTime is provided a 30-day/1,500-mile Limited Warranty, along with an optional Vehicle Service Contract to assist in most situations thereafter. These coverages are provided since we are unable to determine if or when vehicle issues might arise post-sale. Please keep in mind that some pre-owned vehicles may show more wear than others depending on their usage both before and after the time of sale.     While purchasing a car was actually simple and quick, the wait time to actually see some one was ridiculous. We scheduled an appointment at 5:45 pm. We actually showed up at 5:15 pm. We did not get seen until 8:00 pm because you do not have enough employees. We waited around for over 2 Hrs just to be seen. That is ridiculous. When we did finally get to speak with someone and purchase a car, the experience was great. The sales person and all the people involved where very helpful. But time is valuable and that wait time when an appointment is scheduled needs to be solved. The three stars are for the good work the employees did in finding us a car and being helpful. The missing two stars is because you do not have enough employees and made us wait 2 hrs almost 3 hrs after our scheduled appointment.

    I only gave a 1 star rating because of the fact that we didn't have a problem with the first time with buying a car about a year ago. But on 2-15-20 my husband and I went to get an idea of what we wanted and couldn't make a decision so the sales person Gary said to come back later. So we go back today 2-27-20 and the general manager name Vincent ** said that my husband was block from buying a car thru Drive Time because another manager name Jeffrey ** mind you someone we never met said that we got upset and said that we decided to go somewhere else... which did not happen.

    So while speaking with the general manager Vincent he stated that he would believe someone he worked with 7 or 8 years before believing us cause he just met us. First off that's poor customer service... and whatever happened to a customer is always right. Anyhow don't go to this dealership because they lie and they don't even try to see if anything is true. Will be looking into getting a lawyer because I feel like it's some type of discrimination.

    I recently purchased a vehicle 1/28/2020 I was told my next payment wouldn’t be until March 6. I was notified 3 days later that they attempted to pull funds from my account resulting in a$35 NSF fee and I also had a $15 penalty on my account.     Let me say I will never refer anyone to DriveTime. The sales person really had no idea what he was doing. All he could tell me the best feature of the car was the color. Then when I purchased my 2015 Chevy Equinox within 2 days the wiper motor went completely out in a storm and had to drive with no windshield wipers. Next day I take into the shop to see if it would be covered under my warranty and nope not covered so $253 out of pocket within 2 days. Then I was hearing a rumbling when I was driving 2 weeks later. Took it to the shop to come and find out that all 4 tires are warped and they said they have been liked that for a while so they called my extend warranty place to inform them of that and nope not covered another $600 out of pocket..

    Month later engine light comes on and my car kept stalling in the middle of while I was driving and come to find out the intake gaskets were bad and guess what not covered under warranty. And now my exhaust system is bad and have to replace that now which not for sure how much this is going to cost but guess what not covered under warranty. I have not had this vehicle a year yet and already over $1000 in repairs.

    What is the point in paying for an extend warranty if nothing is covered. This place is a joke and I will make sure none of my friends buy from this place. All it is to sucker you in there and get your money and they don't care about the rest or their customers. I have been on the phone between Bridgecrest, Silverock and drivetime for over an hour and half today and all they can say is, "Sorry we will document your concerns." It is just a real shame on how they treat people and not willing to help.

    If a mechanical failure is confirmed within our Limited Warranty period of the first 30-days/1,500-miles, the repair would be covered. However, if the vehicle holds any factory coverage or results in a factory recall for the failed component, the vehicle would be referred to the manufacturing dealership for repair. Please know any factory coverage will take precedence over the services and products we offer as a used car dealership.

    Although all the vehicles DriveTime sells are pre-owned, we do our best to prevent our customers from having to worry about mechanical concerns by having each vehicle go through our inspection and evaluation, which is completed before the vehicles are moved to our sales lots. This is when the tires and other wear or “maintenance” items are checked to ensure they meet DriveTime’s guidelines. Please keep in mind that some vehicles may show more wear than others, depending on use. We also offer the option to purchase a Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) for 5-years/50,000-miles to assist in most situations. It’s important to be aware that the VSC does not cover maintenance or cosmetic items and if repairs happen to be non-covered, they would be considered the cost of ownership. I am sorry if your tires wore and were not covered resulting in an out of the pocket expense.

    Great in getting you approved...but the cars will have issues within a few weeks. They sell you cars with some cheap extended warranty and no computer updates! If everything is ran by the computer...why not updated before selling it?? I'm very angry as we bought 2 cars in the last 30 days. Will not recommend at all.
