    Car is good, but next day, I cleaned it up and the battery is dead. So I had to spend another $190 on the car that I just got. I hope you can repay me. I have saved the receipt. I will call the dealer and the other number they provided tomorrow to see if they cover the cost of a battery.

    I received a car that had dirt and dog hair everywhere. When I mentioned it I was told I would not be able to purchase the car. First they would have to clean it prior. The car shakes and has light dimming in the dash while you drive. In my opinion I believe the people are nice but the cars aren’t.

    The prior approval on the website was waaaay off! My $395 down payment jumped to $995 when I went into the dealership. Once there, the payment information was initially presented in their biweekly form unbeknownst to me. The $226 payment was in reality $452!!!     I can’t believe I was financed for such a nice car, a fair and affordable down payment and a few really nice people that helped me. The overall experience was very positive, I didn’t believe that it took all of five seconds to get approved but for once in my life then we will finance you was true. It took me about 2 hours to get completely through the process and paperwork but due to medical bills I have a 470 FICO and that’s such a bad number that most places looked at me and simply said NO, not even with half down.     The staff were nice enough. The second person I worked with was efficient with paperwork and friendly. However, two staff mentioned an issue with the battery of the 2017 Chevrolet Trax I bought. The staff member I finished the sale with said she'd check it. She ended up doing so and evidently determined it was fine as she told me I was good to go. The very next day on my way to work, the car died. Battery was dead, leaking, and smelling of rotten eggs. I had to call roadside assistance then wait to install a battery I had to pay 150$ for.

    This was distressing considering I was expecting my new vehicle to work, and was trying to transport my two children, both under the age of two, to their baby sitter so I could get to work. I called Drivetime and they didn't help, but I got in touch with the warranty agency and they said I could submit a request for reimbursement that will take up to 5 days to review and up to 14 days after that for me to receive. I like the car, but would not recommend this place.

    I have purchased many different cars in my lifetime and have never taken ownership of a dirty car. They did not even wash it before delivery. The gas tank was almost on E.     After phone contact with Julius and credit approval, an on-site appointment at dealership was made. Arrived at dealership to complete sale transaction. After spending 2 hours completing paperwork and watching videos, was given key to test drive car. Despite knowing I had an appointment to purchase car, car was filthy and had not been detailed at all from time it arrived at dealership. Also, this car is a CMAX Energi and was MISSING THE BATTERY RECHARGER, A NECESSARY ITEM FOR THIS HYBRID CAR. Had to wait 1 hour longer for wash and detail before getting on road for a 3 hour drive home. While staff were courteous and professional, disappointed car was not ready and had to spend far too long at dealership. Why then bother with making an APPOINTMENT?

    Borrowed my son's battery so I can re-charge the car and HOPE I RECEIVE MY BATTERY SOON FROM DEALERSHIP OR BRIDGECREST (???). This is an item that is NECESSARY for this car and should have been in the car at time of sale. Doing a detail earlier should have alerted staff to this oversight. My son should not have had to provide this for me. Almost backed out of the sale.

    So it looks to me like the lawyers and the financial people in Arizona came up with a scheme of bait and switch with the APR the pre set payments which I pointed out to the paper pusher because they're not car dealers. When questioned about the scheme they could not defend it. Just said, "Well yeah..." I did not like it and will not recommend anybody go over there. I think I got a deal that's less painful while there witness and talk to man bringing car back because he said daughter had been ripped off paying $30,000 for a 2012.

    I was able to complete the majority of the process over the phone with Matthew **. Matthew took me through the process and got me into a vehicle that I could qualify for. I do think that the website is somewhat misleading. The down payment estimator has no basis in reality. I recommend a policy of honesty. That was my first contact with Drivetime and there were no vehicles on the lot that existed within a thousand dollars of the down payment quoted on the website. So my first experience with your company (via the website) was distasteful. It got better. Also the warning that was given informing me that I am responsible for my comments is is redundant and insulting. It leads me to believe that some people are so unhappy with you that they leave reviews which you consider actionable.

    The sales rep I was working with Amber ** did not explain anything, was singing most of the time and the communication was terrible. After I go the car the battery dies the first day!! I had to buy a new battery. Are these cars checked before giving them to customers? Car was dirty, had to take it to be cleaned, and gas tank was near empty. I thought another sales rep said they give you the car at 1/2 tank...Again no communication or lack of communication. I would not recommend Drivetime to anyone. It's a good concept but maybe I went to the wrong location.

    They sold me a $16,000 lemon that’s worth $4000. They have not baby any help at all since. I had to drop $400 in the first 30 days. Now a year later I have replaced 2 mass air flow sensors, one catalytic converter and will have to replace the second one and Saturday the transmission went out a second time in less than 3 months. I am now getting evicted because it was either fix it and pay my car payment or pay my rent. My finance company told me again to contact DriveTime. I did. Still they were not helpful and even sounded irritated just to deal with me. I have spent the last year struggling because drivetime sold me a overpriced lemon and disappeared.

    On June 12 I came to DriveTime in San Antonio from Lafayette Louisiana to get a car. I had a horrible experience. First the air in the car didn’t work. They couldn’t find out why. My husband had told them what was wrong with the car because he works on cars for a living. And they tell him that he couldn’t plug his scan tool up to check the car out. But they wanted us to pay $15000 for a car that he couldn’t check out. They have some places that let you take the car to a person to look at it before you make a purchase and I would be damn if I would lose out on $15000. That’s a lot of money. And it was my husband birthday gift so I was very disappointed and wouldn’t advise nobody to get a car from them unless you want a lemon. I rate them a negative 0.

    When I filled out an approval application online they told me zero dollar downpayment but when I got there I had to come up with a downpayment. The car I bought ended up being a $300 downpayment. The car I wanted originally was only $1000 more and you wanted a $5000 downpayment. That is ridiculous. When you’re preapproved for a certain downpayment you should honor that downpayment. It also took three hours to get out of the dealership. You need to speed up the process. People don’t have all the Time in the world. They have lives.

    I purchased a truck and was unhappy with it. I had it for a couple of days. I drove it maybe a thousand miles and then I called Jason in Jacksonville where I bought it. I explained to him how I felt and he found another truck with an extremely limited inventory that I was interested in. I went to East Orlando from St Petersburg and looked at the truck. It got underneath it and it was an absolutely great shape for a 2013. It's a fancy or truck that I needed for a work truck but it was about seven or eight thousand dollars less than all the other dealers that I have been to. I am now driving it and I'm loving it.     Car buying was good, but the car I have purchased is a nightmare. Bought the vehicle in 2019. I purchased a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander and here’s the of problems: they couldn’t connect my Bluetooth so I cannot use my phone. Transmission had to be replaced and NOW the A/C is messed up. I thought I was buying a reliable vehicle. I am a single mom and have to worry about my travels. Very unhappy with the vehicle.
