I’ve bought a car recently and the same day the car broke down as we reached back home. I immediately asked to return the car but I kept getting the run around and also was told to bring the car back if so. How can I bring the car back or broke down and we literally drove 2 hours to get the car, that isn’t my problem. I was also told to call the warranty company to have it fixed. I shouldn’t have to do all of that if I wanted to return the car, so I did because they weren’t trying to help me. The mechanic can’t see the car until next week, now I'm stuck since I only had 5 days to return. Awful company to buy a car from.

While our vehicles are inspected prior to placing them on our lots, we are unable to predict when future repairs may be needed. It is for this reason that DriveTime provides a Limited Warranty (LW) for mechanical failures within the first 30-days/1,500-miles, at no cost to our customers. Should the vehicle have a mechanical failure or fall below the safety guidelines from inspection.
As it is DriveTime’s goal to provide affordable and reliable vehicles to all our customers, we also offer an optional Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) for 5-years/50,000-miles to assist in most situations. It is important to keep in mind that the VSC does not cover maintenance or cosmetic items. Any time a customer may be experiencing a mechanical issue after purchase we would encourage them to contact our warranty provider, SilverRock, for the next steps aimed to resolve our customers concerns. As you indicated, we do offer a 5-day Vehicle Return Policy (VRP) which allows time for any customer to inspect and get comfortable with their purchase. I was looking for a truck. But apparently you won't transfer a vehicle from another show room. I need to haul farm maintenance and feed supplies but I wasn't able to travel to Round Rock. SO, I took the vehicle with biggest payload available.
I looked at others but was told the down was bigger, the % rate higher even know the price was lower; Because my credit was too good? So I don't hate it. I just don't like it. Now I'm hearing what I believe to be a Constant Velocity (CV) joint going out. I'll be getting it in when I can on that. And only 6 more years and I'll own this heap.

The purchasing process was wonderful and the staff was extremely courteous. A few days after purchasing my vehicle I noticed a loud noise coming from the engine. I contacted the location where I purchased the vehicle and the warranty company. I have had my vehicle for just a couple of months and I have discovered that it requires major expensive repairs that the warranty does not cover.

The experience of purchasing the car was good but the following day the car broke down. I understand it’s a used car but didn’t expect to break down the day after purchase. Thankfully DriveTime has a warranty for their cars for a little amount of time but still very inconvenient and disappointing.

I apply online. They approved me for $400 down on a Kia Soul 2020 only 9k miles on it. I go into the actual office and they tell me they don't have the car at their facility and they don't deliver anymore due to Covid. The other facility was 2 hours away. So I'm stuck with purchasing a car from their lot. Not many options to choose from may I add. So now it went from $400.00 to $1200.00 to $2900.00 just for me to be walking out with a 2016 Kia Soul with 61k miles. Big differences. Then the insides was dirty. They don't detail the inside. So I had to pay an extra $20 to get it cleaned at a car wash down the street ughhhh.
On top of that, three days later the engine light comes on and the car has some shaking when it idles. So I called the dealership back and they give me the number to the insurance ppl. I take it to the AAMCO in my area which they provided, and the guy says, "It looks like your tires need balancing and the gas cap is bad (they fixed the balancing and change out my gas cap) and you have a few other issues wrong with it." However Bridgecrest is the worst and is not going to pay for it. So I'm like what now??? Mind you, the AAMCO had my car from a Friday - Monday. So it's past the 5 day return period. Now I'm stuck with a shaky ** car that I gotta fix out of my pocket. This Sucks.

Although we have repair facilities contracted with our warranty partner, SilverRock, we still encourage that they report the diagnosis findings to them to verify coverage to help avoid any misinformation.
Regarding the condition of your vehicle, please know that we make our best effort to ensure our inventory is presentable at the time of sale, and I want to apologize if this was not the case with your vehicle. As mentioned above, all of our vehicles get detailed after our inspections. I would also like to note that most of our dealerships that do not have a detailing location on site will have a mobile detailer routinely come in for any necessary touch-ups. We are sorry if the cleanliness of the vehicle you purchased was not up to DriveTime standards and left you feeling dissatisfied.

Didn’t have our car 24 hours and now it is not drivable the engine is blown and has white smoke coming out of exhaust will be in on Monday the 28th to get a refund of deposit. The car is parked in my church parking lot and you will have to go pick it up because it is not drivable.

Good thing I have money saved and did not buy into the pre qualify down payment amount...that said 700 down and I put 9 times that down on my vehicle. The prequalify credit check used the annual wage with my social and everything. No one buy into to the bait they set! Glad for my purchase though I was buying a vehicle regardless. Just good thing I am smarter than that to buy into their gimmick online.

They do not have their crap together in this place. They overbook people to come and just maybe maybe they’ll get to you in the same day or they will get your hopes up. You test drive a vehicle and almost done with the power work then just stop what they’re doing instead of making the customer happy and tell you to leave because they’re closing.

My sales men at both North & South locations were awesome, very helpful, knowledgeable, patient, respectful. No question I asked was a dumb question. Never pushed anything on me, stayed in my budget. South location Ralon & North location guy at front desk (pretty eyes) unsure of his name. Kudos & I appreciate them! Need more help like them.

I went in to office and Santiago was the 1st to greet me and my mother. He engaged in conversation and asked what I was interested in. Started me off right away with applying and verified what I was able to potentially get rather than searching and looking at cats I may have not qualified for. Not only did he get me exactly what I wanted in my price range. It had low miles and was new to the lot I was the 1st to test drive. Yay me!!! It was a quick and easy experience he answered any questions before I asked and even re explained things when needed.

I scheduled an appointment for 1 pm. I arrived about 10 minutes earlier since the site stated to be on time for appt. I entered the building, no one greeted me although there were several salesmen in the lobby. I sat down and waited about another 20 minutes before the guy who was sitting at the front desk when I came in, came over to ask had I been helped. Really? After another hour or so, I wasn’t offered the deal that was expected. The inventory was not as seen on the site and down payment was way more than stated. I wouldn’t recommend them at all.

My experience at the DriveTime in Lakeland was wonderful. My salesperson was Yamilet. Yamilet was honestly amazing. She was very patient with me when I was deciding what vehicle I wanted to purchase. I kept sending her cars for pricing and she always got back to me in a timely manner. After days of trying to find a car I finally found one. Yamilet was off the day I purchased my car but made sure the staff knew I was coming in. Tameka ** helped me with finalizing the sale. Tameka was very friendly and answered all my questions. My experience at DriveTime was wonderful. Yamilet and Tameka are great assets to DriveTime. I would like to say thank you to Yamilet for being patient with me.

I did not like my experience at all. No matter what I asked it was always no. As compared to Carmax the service is not customer oriented at all. No way to purchase unless you set foot in the store. Once you get there the process is robotic. If you ask to make one change in the set process to save time it is impossible. Staff just argues their side like you were talking to your kid brother.

This is my second car from Drivetime. Excellent service...I will more than likely buy a 3rd and 4th car from them. The sales team was awesome and the selection was vast. Everything that was uploaded had to be scanned by the dealership. Waste of time to upload documents. Telling me I could only do one route for a test drive that did not include hills was unrealistic in Denver. Tequa was personable. However, never owning a car with remote start and not staying with me to test drive, it was difficult to figure out how to get the car in gear. Kurt was very pushy about the add-ons that I should consider.

Very dissatisfied. Vehicle was junk. Silverrock was a joke. Didn't help me any. The coverage sucks. No consideration to their customers at all. Very poor customer service. Run while you can. Do not experience what I had to go through. I wouldn't recommend my dog.

I drove from Peachtree Corners, GA to Morrow, GA because that location had the truck I wanted on the lot. I've done the traditional dealership, where you sit in an office all day long haggling over price, down payment, etc... Jay was up front with all the details I needed to make a decision on my purchase. My salesman was great. Only thing about the buying process I didn't care for were the extras they try to push. I didn't need GAP insurance because I put 30% down, but still pushed it as a benefit to me, it would not be as I owe less than the cars worth, GAP insurance covers a GAP in what you owe vs what Insurance will cover. The Extended warranty is laughable @ $4000. I could replace the motor and trans for that "PEACE OF MIND" $4000... It would've added 20 months to my loan. Get outta here! Salesman was a nice guy though :) & the process was quicker than a regular dealership. Feel like I got a good deal in the end. Don't go for the Extras, this is where they make their BANK!!!

The entire experience was great and everything moved smoothly. I was told of a exhaust leak on a vehicle I really wanted and was advised that I probably would not want to get in the vehicle. I test drove it anyway and it had a shake. After I told them it was shaking really bad they took it off of the lot and put it in for service. Most other places won't even tell you they saw smoke from the exhaust and tried to sell it anyway. I really appreciated the honesty. I test drove several other vehicles and after selecting the one I wanted it was time for the paperwork. The paperwork was done in what felt like 20 mins. My overall experience opinion is that it was great. I have no complaints.

The customer service at Drive Time is top notch. From Greenville to Charlotte, my experience was great! The only thing I didn't understand was I could not pick out my own car. They only gave me two options when there were a whole lot full of cars. I just wished I could have chosen the car I wanted even with less than good credit and only $600 down, I felt that because Drive Time advertise that they will approve everyone for a car, they don't tell us that our picking is extremely slim.

I was looking to buy a car for the first time and Drivetime seemed to have the most reasonable deals within my budget and what I was looking for in a car. I was happy with both locations I visited (first in Downey, and later in Van Nuys), that the offices were clean and not busy. The employees were always very kind and helpful, never pushy or assuming anything about me being a young and new car buyer. We were helped by Anthony at Van Nuys to buy a 2017 Chevy Sonic, especially through the complicated process of choosing a financing option and figuring out a co-signing situation because of my unique financial situation. It did take a while, but I understand it was likely because of having to go through extra/double paperwork with a cosigner. Otherwise I am happy so far with the car and the experience buying.

Thank y'all so very much for helping me with my trade in!! Laura ** in the Fort Worth office was awesome! When we first got in before we even sat down she sanitized the seats and area we were going to. Big points for that!!! The process didn't take that long honestly! As soon as we got there we got to test drive the car we wanted which was great! She was very informative and knowledgeable about the process. We were definitely satisfied.
The only thing I would say is y'all should probably stop advertising "this is your REAL down payment and your REAL monthly payment." I was approved online for a 2017 Toyota Yaris. 495 down (I was putting 2k down anyways) and 180/month and had I gotten that car the down payment would have been $5600. It didn't ruin my experience, I'm still happy. Thanks to the staff in the Arlington office and Ft worth office but I'm not a big fan of the false advertising. I figured it wasn't 100% accurate but that's a really big difference.

I was pressure to get the gap insurance and they tell me I couldn't cancel anytime and the payments will lower. I tried try to cancel it and they tell me I couldn't and my payment will be the same. You guy shouldn't lie to the customer.

Not much I could write could show how much I would recommend these guys to anyone. I bought a vehicle I'm 100% satisfied with at a very competitive price. Braddah Stephen ** was my sales agent, and his service was the best I've ever had for any significant purchase. Not only was he very friendly, genuine, and honest about every detail, including vehicle history and condition (which I have since verified multiple times with mechanics), he and the office staff took extra steps to ensure I had the best experience possible. He even washed and shined up the car for me before I drove her off the lot, and has checked up since to see how I am enjoying the vehicle. Stephen and the other staff were very welcoming, and being a non-car-purchasing newbie, I could tell they were genuine about everything involved in the purchase. There was no pressure whatsoever, and the explanation of products and services (like the extended warranty), were clear and easy to understand.
This Drive Time is smaller than the neighboring Carmax, at which I went right beforehand and was thoroughly unimpressed. The Carmax salesman was exactly that: just trying to push things on me rapidly without taking time to make sure I understood or heard him, and after driving a very overpriced vehicle at Carmax which was of far less quality than the one I purchased at Drive Time, I would say that Drive Time (which appears humbler and of less stock than Carmax), blew them out of the water. I would recommend this Drive Time and all its staff I've met (particularly Stephen) to anyone out there who just wants an honest experience and a decent car. I was approved on the app with a down payment of $300 and a monthly payment of $400 on a specific vehicle. Set an appoint, went to the dealership. They ran my credit again and sent my file to 6 lenders. Why?? If I was pre-approved why run me through more lenders? They said down payment $3500. What a scam!!! In addition to that cost me 90 points on my credit report.

However, it’s important for you to know that these decisions are real approvals and are not guaranteed. Any approval offers are dependent on the customer documentation provided directly to the dealership, such as proof of income, proof of residence, credit score, and the desired vehicle also plays a factor. We accept outside financing as well if our customers are not satisfied with the approval options offered by our financing partner, Bridgecrest.
In regards to a credit check, we check our applicant's credit when they submit an application online or in-house, and it would be considered a hard inquiry. I bought a used car at Drivetime on December. I'm not familiar with English because I am foreigner. Chad, who talked with me, made me feel comfortable and talked easy to understand. I was able to inspect the car carefully for an hour without any interference and took test-drive twice. And I found a minor problem in the car and asked them for repair, and they readily accepted. Waiting repair, as the repair period became longer, I asked them if I could take over the car first and fix it when the auto parts arrive. They, including the manager, put a lot of effort into doing what I wanted. They took my request seriously and listened to it. The contract process is fast and professional. I'm fully satisfied with their service and I'm so glad to do business with them. I'll visit here again the next time I buy a car. Recommend.

Vehicle was dirty and and personnel at DriveTime insisted that there was no one to clean it. After I insisted that this Vehicle needs to be cleaned someone cleaned it. Sales pressure to purchase gap insurance after stating I don't need it.

Drove the car home after buying it. Park the car in the driveway and it smells like gas. Immediately take it to the approved dealership to look at it and repair it. Although the problems with the warranty company have been solved I now have to pay extra money to get the oil changed because that's not covered when they're fixing the valve cover gasket. $300 car rental deposit. $100 for the car rental. The one day just to get the car and then now $50 hold deposit plus whatever the rental is. Haven't even driven in 40 minutes. I'd like my hundred dollars back. That car should have never been sold with that kind of problem and who knows what lies ahead. And I only have a 5-day return policy with you and it is spent now going into the second day at the car repair place so I don't even know if I can return it and then we got a holiday.

I have never EVER had a good experience with a dealership so I arrived already sulking. These guys did an amazing job! Francisco disclosed EVERYTHING about the vehicle right up front, reminded me to push all the buttons and try all the features, showed me everything that needed to be looked at, etc. When I left Maurice had negotiated my apr down, my down payment down, filled my gas tank and explained all the various paperwork. They turned an awful week around for me and didn't try to talk me into a different vehicle or a higher payment.

I had the car parked all night. Woke up this morning 12:19 at 5 to be at work by 5:30. Car sat in my job's parking lot from 5:30 to 3. Got in the vehicle to drive home and start to smell it overheating. Gauge also started to rise. Made it home and all I smell is the car overheating and the gauge was high in temperature. This is very disappointing due to me needing a car to get back and forth to work was the whole reason that I made the purchase. I really need help ASAP. Didn't even have the car 24 hours before it had to be towed to Pep Boys. It needed a new alternator, battery and serpentine belt which thankfully was covered. Also needed an oil change which wasn't covered. Shouldn't the car have been checked before selling.

I had bought a car in 2017 through DriveTime. The dealership mentioned extra coverages and I asked if they could be cancelled if I changed my mind down the road. Two weeks later, I requested to cancel the useless GPS (theft) coverage AND the extended power train warranty. I received an email for the GPS form and later I continued emailing SILVERROCK about the cancellation form for the the extended warranty which was $3,555 plus interest.
A lot happened in my life since then and I had forgot about. I recently went to pay off the remaining balance off my vehicle and realized something was entirely wrong. I still had approximately $5,000 left on my loan. I went back and saw the GPS (theft) was credited to the principal balance but still not the extended warranty years later. I gathered my calls and e-mails to Silverrock requesting the cancellation form for the extended warranty from 4 years ago. I recently contacted them and they say the best they can refund is $300 out of $3,555 which equates to about $5000+ after interest. They ignored all my requests for cancelling the the extended warranty and fraudulently claim they never received emails from me and even claim they never once emailed me though I HAVE THE EMAILS!

I went ahead and purchased the vehicle. However I was upset that I wrote a check for $18k and the “salesman” handed me a dirty car with less than half a tank of gas. He stated it was corporate policy not to fill the gas tanks. And he couldn’t do anything about a car so dirty I could’ve written my name on it. He laughed and said “yeah I know it sucks.” Handed me the keys and said, "Yeah bye." I asked him about service on the car at Drive time and he handed me the history report. With no information if the car was even checked out. I asked him about the tires and he said they met the minimum standards so new tires wouldn’t be put on. When I asked him about returning the car if there were any issues he stated ”we don’t do that”.
So far I’m happy with the car but not the purchasing experience. I felt hustled and dismissed. I won’t be recommending that drive time site to anyone at this time. For 18K up front as someone who works in sales I would’ve gotten out there and washed the car myself. Very disappointed with the customer service and overall experience.

Knowing I wasn’t taken advantage of and there 5 day return policy is great as well. If you don’t like it you can return to get a different vehicle but with good reasoning.

This won't be published, but believe me I'm not stopping here. And your site is one of the biggest reasons people continue to get scammed, because you only publish the good reviews. DriveTime is organized crime in my opinion, and the people involved should be charged for all of the money they have stolen and all of the pain and stress they have caused. I bought a 2015 Veloster from Drive Time West Columbus, Ohio Location and put $1400 down On 10/13/21. The female that sold it to me did most of the paperwork on her computer and transferred everything to a notebook/iPad that I had to sign everything on. Which only showed my signature or initials..
She asked me to run out and get mileage off car (which she should've got when we did the walk around) at which time I pointed out that every wheel/rim was severely Scuffed/scratched and she said "that's just cosmetic." Also there was no spare tire, just fix a flat. So when I stood up to get mileage, she said "forget it, I got it". I didn't know she was taking mileage from last title change. So my warranty was pretty much void before I ever left the lot. And they said due to their insurance I could only test drive the car around the block. The top speed is 35 mph so you can't really tell if there is any handling, steering problems, etc... So on the first day I noticed there was a bad shaking in the wheel at about 60 mph and at a certain point you moved the steering wheel, and it was catching or hanging up. I was told they had a garage right down the road and if anything needed done I had 30 days to have it fixed.
When I called in on Monday, they said my 5 days was up on Saturday. So, after getting nowhere with the dealership I called Silver Rock (supposedly who the warranty is through and I found out later they charged me $3600 for an extended warranty that was never even mentioned) and explained I did not feel safe driving the car. So she sends me to one of their preferred shops on 10/19/21. Tire Choice Auto Service. They did the estimate and submitted it and it got denied. I called Silver Rock and they said they did deny it but they wanted the shop to send pictures and they would reconsider.
I took the car back to tire choice and was told I was the 4th person from that dealership within a week and that they denied every single claim and that their mechanics worked on a commission and did not want to do any more free work. So I called Silver Rock back and was told to take it to Aamco on N. High St. This is 2nd day of work missed. So they tell me I have to bring it back at 9 am the next day and leave it. Well I knew that would be impossible but figured I would deal with it then. So when I took it in they was reluctant to letting me sit in the waiting room while they was doing the estimate. So when they was done the woman told me it needed a tie rod and that one of the rims was bent. And when I asked them if they could submit a copy of the estimate, she said that would be an additional charge along with the $50 for the estimate. I said, "I'm not paying nothing, silver rock sent me here, get it from them."
This woman tries to take my keys back. I'm in a state of shock at this point. And I do believe if there had not been witnesses there, these 2 women at the Aamco on N. High St. in Columbus Ohio would have forcefully taken my keys. So, I ended up getting another shop to look at it that a friend referred me to. I told them I couldn't afford a lot so they ended up putting a mismatched rim on the car. But it did stop a lot of the shaking. And they adjusted the toe in/toe out due to the tires going in the opposite direction. I ended up making a payment on the car. But I had to have drive time removed from my bank acct because they tried to take payment early.
So when the the next payment was due $257.00 every 2 weeks, I parked the car and within 3 days of missing a payment they came and took the car. What this place is getting away with is unreal. And the fact that these people are getting away with it is unacceptable. I know people that are in jail for far less crimes than what these people are doing. One more thing, they ended up charging me like $28,000.00 for a car that sold new for $15,000.00 and was 7 yrs old.

I would definitely recommend them to family and friends. The pricing I thought was far, the office was clean and they followed CDC guidelines, which I was very pleased with.

Car was not clean or prepped, 1/2 tank of gas, oil not changed and was unaware I had to find 4 reference contacts prior to arrival. It was the car I wanted and made a four hour trip to get it, arrived on time at my appointment and thought I did everything online already to expedite process. Brian (salesperson) Knew the process, but could not give an answer as to why or when the car had been serviced. Only that it past minimum inspection requirements. I did not want to finance an additional 6 grand for a warranty, but may need it. 14,000 dollar car (Kelly blue book) bought for 16,500, and out the door at $21000. For a 2013 model. Taking advantage of the bad credit people, I get it. Thank God early payoff is not penalized.

When I first started the process Anthony was extremely patient, informative and understanding, He made sure he covered every possible question I could have at the moment Anna’s well as understood what was going on. When I returned on Monday 11/22/21 I was greeted by Tyler who came off as extremely rude. I attempted to ask him the possible wait time and inform him of whom I was looking for and that I only needed to drop off documentation and Sign final paperwork. He caught an attitude and snapped back, "Well I don’t know. There is still a couple of people ahead of you."
After I attempted to explain to someone else what was going on he told me to come back to the desk so he could go about helping me but every time I attempted to explain to him what I need he would cut me off and state “well I’m trying to help you but you don’t listen and that is not correct” only for him after about 10 minutes of going back and forth finally deciding to listen to me. The representative continues to be rude and have an attitude until I stated I would be emailing corporate about everything. That is when he attempted to be more pleasant and assist me with getting out of the door faster.

We were not sure where to find a car, once we found Drivetime and talked to Katy there was no other choice. She was very sweet and made the purchasing process simple. We even drove 3 hours just to work with her. Once we arrived, everyone was very professional and greeted us. Kevin ** at the Mesa store was excellent. We trusted him and enjoyed the whole car buying experience. He was upfront with things, showed us several options that would work for us and talked us through everything. When there was a better option at another store he called them and put the car we were interested in on hold so we could drive over to test drive it. He also sent them all our paperwork so we didn't have to do everything again. San at the North Phoenix location took over where Kevin started and was just as amazing. Everything was ready when we got there, we took a quick test drive, signed the paperwork and drove home in about 30 mins. Would highly recommend Drivetime to others.

I bought this car and a 1/12 days later the car would not start. It is a keyless car push button start and also noticed that the battery cables had been cut and put together with cable splices. The seat remote housing is broke. They made it look like it was unbroken and other trim issues. The fuel door cable is broken and you have to pry it open. In all I am dissatisfied with the car and will be returning the car on Monday.

Upon trading my return for the other, my current vehicle was inspected, it was brought to my attention that some damage was on the front that wasn’t documented. I said yes, I noticed that either washing the vehicle, as the car was dirty when I purchased. The previous dealership said they detailed it, which I don’t doubt they did, but being in the detail/carwash industry myself, we know what “detailing” means in the car sales world, as most companies employed by the dealer do more of an express than a detail, rambling.. car was dirty when I purchased, clean by some standards, but a lot of dust and road debris from the busy road next causes that. After cleaning is when I noticed it. Which was about 20 mins after purchasing. Upset a little but I knew I could get it out, didn’t touch it went on.
But when I was trading it in, I may as well had a sign on my chest that said "Believe nothing I say, and don’t listen to me." Cause that’s exactly what happened. I was told by the salesman how the damage happened, like it must have gotten bumped into while it was parked at home as he knew I lived in the apartments up the street. What he didn’t know, it’s a gated community with a parking garage outback, and that my parking spot on the side of the damage is a wall. After that, he just walked away and said that he needs approval from head office. Called salesman who originally sold it to me. I asked if he had any better pictures as the ones I have and Drive Time had, is impossible to 100% verify if it was prior or post.
While speaking, I decided to finally get hands on. I ran my hands and fingertips down and noticed no indentation of scratches, and after touching, it faded from my touch, and my finger was dirty. Laughed real hard, told other salesman on the phone. "Hey we’re good, it’s just dirt or grease possibly from a brush," as I work at car washes. Grabbed my detail sponges from the trunk, sadly didn’t have any solution, but had silicone WD40, which works great at getting grease off. Without hurting paint. It wiped right off. Did this in front of current salesman. I asked, "So are we good?" He said no.
I asked if he could now take a picture of the surface now and send it to his “higher ups”. He stated “How do I know it’s not gonna come back when the WD40 dries…”. I never fault a man for his ignorance, as I used to think WD40 was a grease. It is not, it’s a solvent, which breaks down any wax or polishes that would fill in scratches. I agreed, and explained that let me get some soap and I’ll come back and wash it off and show you. We walked inside, I seen hand sanitizer, perfect, told him I was going to use it, as he knows alcohol will break anything down “grease” wise off the paint. He didn’t follow me back out, which I noticed was becoming a common thing, he wouldn’t speak to me, and kept going either back inside or to the back. Wiped the car down with alcohol, ran my hand down to make sure all wax or anything smooth feeling was gone from the area, as this is a indicator that you are at what we call, “virgin” surface.
Had to go and get him from inside, came back out. I explained everything to him, he wasn’t having it. Again repeated the same thing, “How do I know it’s not going to come back.” I asked him to feel it, to see if he can feel scratches or the WD40 I put on. He then proceeded, to tell me none of that mattered, and essentially I was wrong, I took this a tad personal, as this is what I do for a living, again I never fault a man for his ignorance, but when it shows itself, in my field of expertise and livelihood, and I get told pretty much I don’t know what I’m talking about and your now more knowledgeable than me, I don’t scold, I educate. I educated the salesman, of my background, what I do for living, and my hobbies, and personal business of teaching Veterans coming home how to detail cars so they can make money, as I am a veteran myself and I do this all for free.
After educating him on everything, on how paint and clear coat works, how solutions and the solutions I used chemical and physical properties, he simply said, it’s not my call. I asked again, "Will you just take a picture and send it, so they aren’t basing everything off the original picture and we are now looking at something they see, that isn’t there." Refused to take a picture. That’s when it hit me, it was either a lie, and there was no higher ups making a choice, or something else was going behind the scenes. I don’t know if they didn’t want me to swap cars, or something else. It didn’t make sense that you send photos to someone not there, and then not send follow ups, he was never on the phone with anyone during the whole process, so I called corporate office myself.
From the time my phone touched my ear, to Drivetime office answered the call, Ken came out and told me I was good to go. Now my first complaint before this happened, the new car I was trying to buy was horrid, the interior was disgusting and I’m 100% sure the inside has never been cleaned since it was purchased brand new. I thought the windshield was just dirty from dust as the whole outside was also very dirty, and apparent it hadn’t been washed in months. I hit the window washer, and that’s when I noticed the dust and dirt I was trying to see thru wasn’t on the outside. Uhhhhh. Also, the front end was making a god awful noise, I inspected it after my test drive and noticed the axle was wet with oil, which most likely means it’s going bad.
I brought this up to them, they told me, "Hey take it to precision down the road and they will check it out." As it’s covered under the 30day/1500 mile. My last complaint, I arrived shortly after 2pm, I didn’t leave till 6:10pm. Ken who originally helped me didn’t do any paperwork with me, the lady there did. (Who was awesome, amazing, friendly, extremely helpful, and very well organized) When I sat down at her desk to sign paperwork and go over all documents, I was done in 35 minutes. Slightly annoyed by the fact, I arranged the purchase of this same vehicle at 9:30am.
When I originally purchased the other vehicle 3 days prior. I was in and out within 2 hours. I stayed cool, calm, collected the entire time, even when my credibility, and intention, and moral/ethical values was in question. I don’t get upset or angry over things like this, as I can understand and relate, and like I said, you can’t fault someone for ignorance. Dealer probably deals with a lot of these same issues, where it’s an apparent scam.
After all was said, and done, I apologized to everyone, for raising my tone to an assertive level, that I wasn’t upset at anyone, that I understood, and that hopefully they can understand where I was coming from as well. I'm still not upset or dissatisfied, I’m very bummed I had to scrub and fully detail The car I just bought. But when I seen the inspection happened the day of pick up, they must have just got it on trade in. But still curious about the pictures on the website that showed a clean vehicle.?

Check and service lights came on after the trip home. Went out to work on other side of state. No response from dealership after leaving several messages. Either not receiving them or you know deleting them. Will have to take to Keep dealership to get items fix at my experience. Thanks Drive time.

On Nov. 06 I and my daughter visited your place but we found good car, 2017 BMW 330e and after test driving and it seems the brake and accelerator did not work properly. Your agent agreed to repair and fix. And On Nov 13, we visited your place again, but during operation test, we, I and your sales agent, agreed that heater did not work proper, not provide hot air enough and the function of accelerator has been improved. But at that day the car was very dirty covered by dust! Sales agent agreed to fix the heater again. And this week we heard that because of Hybrid car, heater did provide hot air, Yesterday, Nov 18, after completing and payment, I got only one key! Sales agent said 'Usually used car comes with only one key'. And there was no manual in the card. Sales agent said 'he will find it' And Sales agent confirmed that the car has navigation function, but there is NO NAVIGATION AT entertainment control display.
I summarize my feedback, 1. Sales agent has NO back knowledge about the car, 2. He sold his used car like a used car. I mean he is ready not provide the happiness. My experience from CarMax, they confirmed and provided two keys. If you have one key, you should make another key for your customer and CarMax said, if there is no manual, they can refund if I bought the manual. He said the car has only one at last minute. He did not provide the correct information about Navigation. 3. Sales agent is not ready and no passion to sell the car, he did not clean the car for potential customer. I have lots of complaints. But I don't know you want to hear my feedback.

I fell in the love with car, but it has several issues that I was not informed of. (1) Back passenger door does not open, (2) It stopped on me twice yesterday and once today. I was suppose to have hitch hook on back of my car but it was never there. I have to put on the high beams just to have lights in the front of the vehicle. Paula **, my phone number **. Please know all our vehicles are pre-owned and inspected before placing them on our lots. While they go through an inspection, we are unable to predict when future repairs may be needed. For this reason, we provide a Limited Warranty (LW) for mechanical failures within the first 30-days/1,500-miles. We also have an optional Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) to assist in most situations there-after.
In addition to these coverages, we offer a 5-day Vehicle Return Policy (VRP), which allows our customers the opportunity to inspect and get comfortable with their purchase. If they are not pleased with their vehicle, they can bring it back within the first 5-business days (not including the date of sale, holidays we are closed, and Sundays).

If there was a way to give a negative amount of stars I truly would. I was given a lemon car. Of course they have you take the vehicle somewhere in their network, Pepboys, who told me there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. 5 months later the car is now at a Nissan dealership. Repairs made but the rest is unrepairable. DriveTime says I am responsible for the remaining balance on the car before I am allowed to trade it in. I am NOT paying for a vehicle that is inoperable. It sucks you have to jump through hoops for a car that is worth nothing. I do not understand how such a crooked company is allowed to get away with such mess and succeed.

Please know that we inspect each of our vehicles in an effort to avoid situations such as these. However, due to the nature of pre-owned vehicles, we are unable to predict when vehicle concerns malory arise after the time of sale. For this reason, each vehicle includes an initial 30-day/1,500-mile Limited Warranty, in addition to an optional Vehicle Service Contract that we offer at the time of sale for purchase. In order for SilverRock to process a claim for a covered repair, the Repair Facility would have to provide the necessary information to confirm the failure. Once the failure has been confirmed, SilverRock will proceed with approval.

All the staff was super nice, friendly and very helpful! Straightforward. No beating around the bush. I literally walked in, chose the vehicle I found online, test drove and picked up the next day! The overall experience was great! Buying a car can be exhausting but the staff at Drive Time cuts all the exhaustion out!!!!

I wish I could give them 10 Stars!!! My nephew and I were both in need of new (used) vehicles. We went to North County and had the pleasure of working with Devin **, he was excellent…so easy to work with, he explained everything as we went through the process. And so quick, I think start to finish was 2.5 hours. I came back a week later (unfortunately Devin was not available). I ended up working with Josh **, who was an equal pleasure to work with. Both Josh and the credit manager, Daniel **, had their work cut out for them! They ended up getting me a great deal on the vehicle I wanted and payments that I can afford. I’ve been to other dealerships that make you feel like “less of a customer” because of poor credit. EVERYONE at DriveTime treated us with respect, allowing us to maintain our dignity. Can’t say enough good things.

When shopping for a car the experience can be downright frustrating! What I have found is that DriveTime truly takes the frustration out of car buying. We went and toured the lot to identify what we wanted. The sales person listened to all of our wants and looked at what we were also willing to maybe pass up. We wanted to keep payments in a certain place along with a down payment. The finance department took paystubs and bank verifications which made the process simple and easy. We were able to see all our options including down payment options, monthly payments and APR rates. We were truly able to see all the numbers right in front of us to make a decision on which vehicle was best for us. Really could not recommend them more!

They say 3x is a charm. I would highly recommend the Stone Mountain location over the Duluth and Marietta. They want you to be happy and drive off with an automobile. I was helped with synching my phone and we did a thorough inspection before I took it for a test drive. My rep did things in order and was friendly, personable and professional.

Well tue when I was there for four hours, paid my deposit, got insurance, signed all my paperwork and was told that I could take the car wed as soon as my sister signs her paperwork so I called Drivetime up here and talk to a guy named Chris who told me that I was not going to be able to pick the until they got the paperwork back. It was just too many people telling you what to do but I really love the car.

DriveTime was the best option for buying a car. All dealerships should operate the same. I went to two other dealerships that gave me the run around. They claim that they wanted to help but not really. I finally tried DriveTime and instantly got approved!! I was able to buy the car that I wanted with the down payment that I could afford to put down!! The process was smooth, the battery had to be changed out and they got it done the same day so I can leave with the car! I told my friends about DriveTime and recommended they buy their next car from DriveTime.

I was not impressed with the fact that the vehicle was not vacuumed out nor were the floor mats put inside the vehicle. Nor was there a full tank of gas in the car. I understand that due to the pandemic the detailers were laid off but this should have been handled.
