    So this dealership wanted $7000 for a $20000 2018 Dodge Journey.. but then they wanted $10000 down for a $15000 2015 Ford Taurus. Which makes absolutely no sense. They also said even though I make $1800 a month and have no other bills that I can’t afford a $400 car payment. An absolute joke.

    Robert ** was very helpful and good to work with. He was able to answer all of my questions and didn't make me feel pressured into making a purchase. My only complaint is the online pre-approval is misleading. I think that when the online pre-approval is filled out the down payment and monthly payment should pertain to the vehicle you are interested in buying. My pre-approval pricing pertained to the least expensive vehicle on the lot and not the vehicle I initially chose. This made me feel baited into coming to the dealership. That aside it was a pleasant experience purchasing a vehicle from Drivetime and I would do it again in the future.

Now the dealership wants to charge me $1 per mile picking up the option of a proportion of docusign I don’t remember being in it. I know I would have read a return policy.     The interaction we received via phone and email initially in preparation for our visit to the DriveTime in Plymouth Meeting, PA was productive and pleasant. However, on the day when we were on site to view the vehicle in person and to complete the process, that pleasant experience had ended and instead we had a somewhat sterile and cold interaction with the representative who assisted us - we felt like our transaction was just another task that they were completing. It wasn't bad, but there was no personality, pleasantries, or even courtesy.

    Additionally, the "reconditioning" practiced at this location appeared to be half-hearted with obvious cleaning product being sprayed in the interior of the vehicle, but not wiped off thoroughly, and an extremely heavy reliance on air fresheners. Worst of all, the air fresheners used were so acrid and aggressive that the only comparison I can make is that they had the smell of urinal cakes and moth balls. I removed no less than ten of these air fresheners from the interior of a CUV on the ride home - an excessive amount by any measure - along with a canister of "air freshener fogger". If this is the recommended approach to "reconditioning" vehicles, I would strongly suggest reconsidering this practice, especially if those urinal cake smelling air fresheners are the recommended product to use.

    We were kind of rushed during the deal due to bank closing time. The vehicle obviously was never completely checked over. After leaving the lot the high beams were inoperable. The salesman said to contact warranty department and still has not been resolved over a week later. The other salesman there did the checklist and stated they need a spare tire and all we got was an inflation kit. Stereo speakers are blown. I will not do business in the future and neither will any of my family.

    I want to assure you that all our pre-owned vehicles are mechanically inspected, and all fluids are checked prior to being placed on our sales lots. While they go through an inspection, we are unable to predict when future repairs may be needed. Since we are unable to determine when mechanical concerns might arise, each vehicle is sold with a 30-day/1,500-mile Limited Warranty. As you mentioned, we also offer an optional Vehicle Service Contract for purchase to assist in most situations after that.

    In regards to the spare tire, not all automobiles have a spare tire included. DriveTime will include an inflation kit for good measure, if the vehicle was not equipped with a spare tire.

We accept outside financing as well if you are not satisfied with the approval options offered by our financing partner, Bridgecrest.

    We also offer a 5-day Vehicle Return Policy (VRP), which allows our customers time to inspect and get comfortable with their purchase. If they are not pleased with their vehicle or financial terms, the vehicle may be returned within the first 5-business days (not including the date of sale, holidays we are closed, and Sundays) and terminate the Simple Interest Retail Installment Contract.     Bought a car from Drivetime, my second one since our experience was so good the first time... Equally for the second time, but their loan group is horrible. I am not sure what happened, but evidently my down payment went through in March, but somehow got retracted over a month later. Bridgecrest stated they tried to call me 3 times and I never called back. I did call back as I only received 1 voicemail and the person I called 3 days in a row, 3 times a day leaving messages into the voicemail, would never call me back.

    On the 4th day he finally picked up the phone and as we were speaking he said the voicemails are not answered. Also asked for my address and stated it was not the address they had on file.... Ha, that was a load of crap because they came to my address to repo the car. I asked what needs to get done to get my car back (this was all over $600.00) he said nothing, they don't work like that. Once they repo it, they evaluate it and also allow you to get your personal belongings. What a joke!!! Never again will I go through them....

    All I can say is buyer be very aware. We brought a 2017 Ford Fusion and after two weeks we had issues with the horn. Fortunately, the warranty did correct the issue. Silver Rock was great, they asked the dealer we carried the car to, to do a full multi-point inspection. Ford found major issues with the motor and it had to be replaced. Fortunately, Ford covered the new motor under warranty, so far I'm satisfied. However, the day we picked it up, it was raining and we found issues with the sunroof leaking. Silver Rock nor DriveTime will do anything about it. Which I can understand, however, I was sold a lemon car and DriveTime flat out refuses to do anything to satisfy me, the customer. There is no way they inspected the car as they say and not found the motor issue.

    That car should not have ever been on the lot to be sold. All it would take to satisfy me is pay the cost to replace the sunroof, only $700 dollars, but DriveTime flat refuses. Saying the car was inspected and they didn't find issue. Obviously, they didn't inspect the car, or they did and still decided to sell hoping the customer wouldn't notice. I will not buy or recommend doing any kind of business with them. They do not support the customer after the final sale. More interested in selling cars than satisfying the customer. I'll never buy from them again. Bad experience. But I will say the sales staff at the dealership we brought it from was very nice and friendly, I'll give credit where credit is due.

    So after getting approved for 23% car loan, I drive an hour to the dealership, when I get there they have "my" car ready to go, except it's not the same car as I reserved. No problem. We find my "reserved car" on the lot. The salesman brings a over for me to test drive. Perfect just the one I want. Get in it and see the ABS light in on & the traction control light is on. Well screw that (they wouldn't let me take it Anyway). So here I am stuck at the lot, I took a bus down there, so I look at other cars of the same model and year. Find one that is a 2020, or 19 that has only 36k miles that would work for me, it's $2k more in price, but ** it I need a car. And Drive Time is the only one that will finance me cause of my ** credit. So we do the deal and I leave for home. I noticed about 45 min into the trip home it's not running right.

    I get off the interstate and the check engine light comes on and it is shaking a bit. I get home and get out looking it over and noticed that the front & rear bumper covers are popping out at the point where they meet the fenders. Upon closer look I noticed that there was some paint over spray on some spots of the vehicle, front & and rear bumper covers. Also I noticed the paint doesn't quite match. This POS came with a clear CARFAX, no accident reported. I then scan the cars OBD11 port with scan tool, brings up a P0301 code which is cylinder misfire, permanent code. How do I know all this stuff? I was a auto dealer in MN. for 8 years. Also owned a salvage yard, and bought, built, and sold close to 4000 cars in that 8 years. So I know a thing about cars, etc.

    Ok so on the way back to the dealership the car would not go faster than 58 mph. Shaking bat ** crazy, it was running on 2,3 cylinders finally make it to the dealership, pretty pissed off. Fast forward. I find another car that will work for me, we redo all the paperwork and I'm signing it and noticed that the interest rate now jumps to 26.something %. WTF? 3 points. Wasn't told prior to making this new deal, but you all have me bent over, had to get a car, so I signed it.

    Well you all might want to fix that back down to where the first POS rate was, because I will bring this story to light. Any social media platform I can get my hands on. I'm a Disabled Veteran who lost his left arm And this is the way you all do me? Not a good visual one would think. Someone should call me ASAP. **. I have all the pictures in my text messages with my sales man Arron, he might still have them or I can forward them to you, or go see that turd at the lot, I'm sure it's still there.

    Please if you are looking to buy a car BE VERY careful as DRIVETIME IS A COMPLETE FRAUD. They sold me a 2019 Mit Outlander at 17 interest then once I had a issues with Bridgecrest I found out it went from 17 to 22% finance interest. How the heck do they explain that? DO NOT TRUST EITHER OF THEM.

    I had Joel as a salesman and spoke to LJ the manager. I looked up vehicles that I was interested in and went to the dealership to test drive the Chevy Traverse. Joel sprayed the car down before pulling it around because I saw soap on the back, no big deal. What was an issue was the noise the car made as he pulled up. Despite the noise I test drove the car and the noise got louder when I accelerated. Same noise sitting idle at a traffic light. Went back to and then test drove a Ford Explorer. I called this the Shaggy mobile because it seemed as if Scooby-Doo and his family rode in this car frequently.

    My husband wiped the seat out I only drove 3 lights in comparison to the loud bomber this rode smooth, didn't have any loud noises, I liked how it sits up higher and was better looking. I couldn't take sitting in the truck much longer with all the dog hair. I decided to go with the Shaggy mobile and the Mgr said that they would have the car detailed, I left the car there with hopes it would be done in 1 day. I called the next day and Lj said the car was done, they did a thorough scrubbing but the seats were wet so maybe wait a day. I said no we'll come get it and I will bring towels. I sent my husband and son to pick up the vehicle and got a call that I needed to come because I didn't sign the contract. Here's where the editing of the first review comes in.

    If I decided to take the car the previous night how would that had happen if I didn't sign the contract, who would be at fault for me not signing the contract? So now I have to drive 50 minutes back to the dealership to sign papers I should've signed the night before with the 20 other ones that I did sign. When I pull up I see bird poop on the car that was there the day before. How when it was detailed? Maybe they just did the inside since that was the main focus. I had a rental however finally got in the car today. A single dog hair on the front seat. I explained my daughter is allergic and she would not be able to ride in the vehicle like that. After seeing that I decided to further inspect because my son informed me that the seats weren't wet, so I assumed all they did was vacuum the car.

    Well DriveTime in Owings Mills couldn't even do that! Nothing was done to the vehicle as there is dog hair in the headrest, near the seat belts, when you pull up the 3rd row it's clear nothing was done. As I drop the 3rd row it wasn't even vacuumed as you see dirt particles bounce. I took videos and pictures and told Lj they did not detail my car. He told me I will not call him a liar because he knows that he saw them spraying down the seats. I told him it must've been imaginary water because the seats weren't wet and the truck wasn't cleaned. He said that I could bring it back and he could get his other guy to clean it. 1. I don't trust that it will get done since he LIED and said it was thoroughly scrubbed the first time. 2.

    I would have to take off work to drive 50 minutes away for them to clean the car that should not have been on the lot to begin with looking the way it did on the inside. If I did not desperately need a vehicle I would've kindly given that back. I now have to come out of my pocket to have the truck detailed correctly. I in no shape form or fashion recommend this dealership by what they put out on the lot shows how much they value the people that come through their doors. Not only my daughter's allergies but we are still in a pandemic due to covid, if you don't even try to clean the inside you don't care about the health and safety of the workers or customers and families. With the cost of the cars on this lot a permanent detail person. They have plenty of work to do from the 3 cars I looked at.

    Raneta was one of the most thorough and knowledgeable persons I have ever met in life. Honestly I don't know why she isn't a manager of her own dealership. As far as quality control goes Drivetime needs to terminate all of its inspectors and get new ones that have basic mechanical experience. I have noticed a lot of battery issues.

    The Temple Hills location was full of them. Either the batteries that are installed are not the proper batteries. Or batteries are being removed and charged and placed back in vehicles overcharged. My car had a vacuum leak which I could identify that's how loud it was. Transmission fluid was low. Oil definitely should have been changed. Oil filter had not been changed. Fuel filter had not been changed. The air filter had not been changed. I am like omg so Drive time is selling cars as is, with a good clean up. I am keeping the car because it deserves a better owner. Fingers crossed my car passes Maryland inspection.

    I needed a vehicle and called Drive Time in Tampa, FL to get "pre-approved". They informed me of my credit score and actually told me it was better than a 100 points lower than it actually was. I immediately viewed my credit score on all three credit bureaus is how I know what it was and is. The representative (I won't embarrass him by name) informed me that I would need to put about half of the price of the vehicle I was interested in down to purchase a vehicle from them. This had to be the biggest insult I have ever heard. If I had $15,000.00 to put as a down payment, I surely wouldn't have called them. I went to the Tampa CU Auto Branch and bought a newer vehicle with NO MONEY OUT OF POCKET, got a great interest rate and with credit union financing. Drive Time should be financially penalized for lying to and misleading consumers.
