    For the most part, the purchase and delivery of my car was perfect. Very easy process, no haggling and straightforward. The only issue is that after putting my down payment on my credit card (the only transaction I have used that card for in months) my card was hacked and received multiple $160 charges to Intuit software. It was caught by my credit card company, but I had to have the card replaced. I don't have proof that this was directly tied to the Carvana purchase but seeing as that card is never used the timing is suspicious and I think the online and physical security practices of user data should be reviewed.

    Completed the online purchase process and set a date for delivery. On delivery day I received an email and call stating they found issues with the car and move the shipment date out a week. Finally received the car and found the hood, roof and both rear quarter panels had been poorly painted. Overspray was everywhere and the paint was running. No explanation give for this but still wanted the same price. Shady business practice so I requested a return.

    Carvana buying experience was hands down great experience. With a pretty major exemption missing a rear suspension that’s functional. F150 had at some point installed an after market air lift. Which is awesome if for the fact that lack of module that controls compressor and all wires cut to compressor. This 100% should have been caught but point inspection. Very dangerous and potentially catastrophic damage done to rear end of truck. After calling carvana and warranty being down. To find out I personally have to pay a deductible for a major safety issue that could have put others or myself at risk. Carvana says I’m sol on deductible, unfortunately for Carvana this will be escalated to attorney generals desk. You can not sell vehicles with safety issues to a consumer. This is my 2nd vehicle and I know Carvana didn’t do the damage however inspection should have caught this and remedy done prior to delivery.

    This is my 2nd purchase with Carvana and it has not been good. My car was damaged during transport and there were a few issues that happened PRE-DELIVERY were not corrected as promised. To make things worse the car wasn't detailed when it was delivered to me and that wasn't by transport, it was driven to my home which added additional miles that wasn't compensated to reflect the 7 day warranty.     The vehicle has been undrivable and in the dealership since I received the truck. The main dash cluster for speed and other synoptics has been intermittently blanking out and unsafe. I have contacted your team and opened a case and was told to take it to one of the maintenance repair facilities and they told me to take it to the dealership as it is under factory warranty. The part is on backorder until May 23 and the vehicle will sit until it is repaired. Totally unacceptable.

    I had seen the commercials, but I never knew anyone that actually used Carvana. At first I was a little hesitant because I was not sure of how the process went. However, after looking through their inventory and finding a car that I wanted, the process was very smooth and efficient. I don’t have the best of credit right now, but Carvana was able to get me approved for thousands of vehicles, most of which are newer used vehicles with lower mileage. After I found the car that I wanted, I was able to get through the paperwork with ease and picked up my car from a local Carvana location two days after approval. They give you a seven day exchange or money back guarantee period which is a plus. During that period I was able to drive the car and also see how it would fit into my life. I was not satisfied with the car after test driving it and wanted to make a switch.

    Switching vehicles was just as easy, if not easier, then going through the purchase process the first time. During the exchange, I was able to find a newer year vehicle with even less miles on it. The vehicle was practically brand new. Now I have a vehicle that I love. When it comes to cars, get the gap insurance (something I wish I knew a few cars ago) and the extended warranty. After seeing how easy the process was, my mom also bought a car from them.     I was super excited getting the vehicle I’ve been wanting for a while now. The purchase process was great. I was satisfied with the amount of the vehicle and everything. Unfortunately on day 7 after getting the vehicle, was when I started having issues with the vehicle, because the vehicle is considered luxury. Which means pricier. I anticipated on having maintenance issues down the line, but not within 7 days. That’s crazy! Unfortunately, I wasn’t in a position at the time to do a diagnostic test at the dealership (which was $300) might I add. So I drove about an hour away to another dealership that was more my price range just to hear that the vehicle needs a new battery and some electrical work done. Another unfortunate thing is the warranty expired before I purchased the vehicle. So I’m having to pay everything out of pocket and I haven’t even had the vehicle two weeks yet… Smh.

    A little disappointed with the purchase off the back my brakes and discs are horrible. My car shakes when stepping on the brakes, not sure how it’s even legal to sell a car with bad brakes. There’s a jerk in the car which is probably the motor mounts that will need to be replaced as well. The 100 day warranty requires a $100 fee if they even will cover the parts and labor. Repairs I don’t want to deal with when I just purchased a vehicle.

    Purchased a car from Carvana in March of 2025. Took delivery and drove home. Upon further inspection I noticed that one of the tires had a 3-inch hole on the sidewall and a large gash and dent in the rim, damage to the front fender as well as a damaged hood latch. Issues that Carvana missed during pre-sale inspection or maybe worse just simply ignored. The detail job they did was pretty crappy too and the car smelled like cigarettes and cheap air freshener. Figured it wouldn't be a big deal to reach out and get at least a new tire due to the clear (according to their customer service team and Firestone) safety issue. Wasn't as concerned about the latch or the rim but tires are $500 and this one was not due to normal wear.

    The people there were very nice and advised that I call the insurance company that they contract with Silver Rock. They were nice as well but that's where the positive experience ended. I have now had the case opened and closed three times and each time with this is not covered from both Silver Rock and finally today also from Carvana. Had the tire blown out and caused an accident this would have been a serious lawsuit given that Carvana was negligent in their inspection and someone could easily have been hurt.

    The right thing to do would have been to simply replace the tire. Instead, I spent at least 10 phone calls and several hours on the phone being reassured they would take care of it. Not once did either company keep me updated. Every time I had to follow up. In the end both Carvana and Silver Rock are just like many other big businesses. Luckily it is a minor issue as the rest of the car is in good shape. As a consumer I feel like they really missed the boat on customer service. In the end I am out about $1,000 but the experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. With all the buying options I would not use Carvana again. Had this been a more significant issue I feel like the results would have been the same.

    Lesson learned. After spending $1,200 for a vehicle advertised to be under manufacturer warranty to be shipped and delivered, it lasted three days before failing to start. Actually, a claim was submitted ON DELIEVER DAY with a faulty radio. This means Carvana took my money to ship and deliver a vehicle they knew was fault. My small child and I were left stranded in the parking lot needing a jump. I took it to the SilverRock approved repair shop for a diagnostic. SilverRock then said it needed to go to the Jeep dealership for any diagnostics or repairs since it is still under warranty. The dealership then found multiple irreparable damages. I'm definitely feeling scammed. Please do better by your customers, especially when taking a risk in this economy.

    Carvana's 150 point inspection should be taken with a grain of salt. You wouldn't expect a 2016 Equinox with less than 39K miles (at purchase) to have any major issues. The problem starting when during a March warm spell my wife informed me that the AC didn't work. No big deal so I thought, since I'm a vehicle tech for a government agency, I'll check it out.

    Freon low? It wouldn't take a charge, nor was I able to command the AC compressor to come on through my scan tool. Found AC compressor fuse blown. Replaced fuse blown. Blows again. Serious problem. On inspection when I pulled the vehicle into my personal shop that there was a rats nest of cobbled wiring that feeds (1) the CV clutch on the compressor, (2) AC freon pressure switch, (3) AC compressor clutch, (4) alternator field wiring that is crucial to make sure the alternator gets the proper feedback to charge the battery, (5) broken connector to the CKP (crankshaft position sensor) and (6) the fan wiring had been spliced with a aftermarket replacement connector and someone had used wire nuts to make the connections.

    The reason behind the mess is only a guess? Chewed on by an animal kicked up road debris who knows. Numbers 1-5 connectors had been replaced, but instead of being properly soldered and heat-shrink protection, the wiring was just twisted together and taped with non-automotive electrically tape not made for the automotive environment. Luckily the wire colors matched the terminal pins correctly, but that's the only good thing. Upon removing that section of harness to do the repairs on the topside I had to disconnect the starter solenoid wire and found the starter was loose!! It was held in by one bolt on the bottom. The top bolt was missing!

    Found the AC compressor clutch itself is shorted. I measured less than half an ohm which is basically a dead short. I was able to correctly repair the wiring back to its original configuration. I had to replace the crank sensor connector since it was broken and would not lock into the tab on the sensor itself. Thankfully my local Pick and Pull had the connector I needed, plus a bolt for the starter that was missing and the factory correct fan wiring.

    Even though we bought the vehicle in January after my wife's 2015 Equinox was t-boned when a girl blew through a stop sign, the inspection should have caught this and had it repaired before the vehicle was offered for sale. My best guess is that they knew this and chose to ignore it. Buyer beware. Do your due diligence and inspect everything that you can and make sure everything works. Other than that, so far, no other issues. I have uploaded all relevant pictures, the last pic shows how the wiring should look, as factory.

    I've been on this earth for 43 years, purchased 13 cars and 7 motorcycles. Last week I decided to try Carvana for the first time and it was hands down the worst car buying experience I've ever had. They shipped a car to me that had an obvious problem, it was clear to me that the vehicle had not been inspected thoroughly before it was sold to me. After opening up a complaint they told me I needed to take it to a mechanic in their network so they could work with their partner "Silverrock Insurance".

    After scheduling time in my day to find a mechanic and then scheduling time a different day to drive the car to the mechanic, I received a call the same day informing me that "Silverrock" would not cover the car and that it needed to be taken in to a dealership. After extensive chats with multiple customer service agents to try to find out what this process would be like I started calling dealerships to see who would work with this silverrock insurance. I could not get in touch with anyone anywhere and my 7 day return window is running out. I went back to customer service and they were just zero help all around. One rep even reprimanded me for asking too many questions at once..

    All in all I wasted 2 full days of my time testing this car and running it around trying to fix it only to have Carvana's insurance company refuse to pay the mechanic $800 to fix it and instead have me bring it to a dealership to wait god knows how long for it to be fixed, which I refused and instead opted to return the car. Once I did I was back on with Carvana customer service who were again supremely unhelpful. The only thing I asked of them this time is that when their tech came to pick up the car that they please text me instead of call since I'm frequently on the phone for work. They refused.

    After all of the hassle this garbage company put me through they refused even the most minor thing they could possible do to help me out. I would not buy from them again. This is a garbage company, with garbage partners and garbage customer service. I will recommend loudly that people steer clear of this company until my dying breath. I'm genuinely surprised they have as many positive reviews as they do.

    I purchased a 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV. My appointment did not start on time. Once I brought the car home, the electric charger did not work. I called your warranty service and they were gouging me to locations that only handled gas vehicles and no one in network could address my issue. The 100 day warranty is useless for an EV owner.     I got my first car from them and was told, "Sorry the windshield and headlight are cracked." Someone must have not wanted to get in trouble. Then to trade it in I had to drive to Schaumburg. They called me at 515 to tell me my appointment had been rescheduled for a third time because there was something wrong with the new car. I was 45 minutes into the hour drive at that point.

    I was told I’d get a Starbucks gift card which instead upon arriving I was handed a drill to get my old license plate off. Then the issue with the car wasn’t repaired or fixed in any regard. So I had to drive my second Carvana car directly to the shop where it has been getting fixed since I got it. So then the shop called to let me know it’s gonna take even longer because the charging cord in my trunk that Carvana gave me is the wrong type for Teslas. Found a few wearable issues: Rear brake pads were installed incorrectly and were wearing uneven (previous owner issue not Carvana). Rear rotors pretty worn and may need replaced. Rear tire tread pretty worn. Front brakes and tires looked good (newer winter tires). Both control arms need replaced. Carvana warranty submitted and approved same day, just had to pay for inspection

Damaged I was only informed about a few scratches paying way more than the truck is worth you'd expect it to not have all these issues. Brakes. Damaged headliner.     While I will say, my purchase was approved within a couple of days, much faster than a traditional dealership, the experience has not been the simple, seamless one they market. To start, there was a lot of back-and-forth between Carvana and my insurance company (Carvana sending incorrect or incomplete documents to my insurance, etc., resulting in me having to make several phone calls to one business or another over a period of hours to ensure everything was properly communicated).

    Finally, the day of delivery arrived. The gentleman was very professional, he called me ahead of time and handled all the paperwork (although I couldn't figure out why he didn't know if we were transferring my plates, since I had already been over that with customer service). Shortly after he left, I hopped in my new car to take it for a wash (since it showed up detailed on the inside but filthy on the outside, complete with some kind of nail polish-like markings on the rear window), and I immediately noticed something was not right.

    To start, the "Oil Change Required" alert came on, followed by the "Washer Fluid Low" alert. These items should be a no-brainer if Carvana truly does a 150-point inspection and oil change prior to delivery. Then I got on the road. There was a thumping noise coming from the driver's side, the brake pedal shuddered with each stop, there was a scraping sound when turning that I knew right away was bad brakes, not to mention the completely blown speaker.

    I took it to my mechanic for a full diagnosis, which I paid for out of pocket because he is not a Carvana mechanic, but obviously, I wanted someone I trust to check it out. His findings, on top of the blown speaker and lack of washer fluid, included: Bad front and rear brakes, bad struts, a nail in one tire, an oil leak around the transmission, and to top it off, window tint that is too dark to pass my state's inspection.

    Then I took it to a Carvana-approved mechanic who assessed and priced everything mechanical with Silver Rock. I then had to wait for parts to come in, so my appointment would not be until my 7th day of having the car (when I should be able to have it pass state inspection by then). While I wait for that to be completed, I had to contact Silver Rock directly to find out what I need to do about the blown speaker (which they said SHOULD be approved to be fixed -- after spending tens of thousands of dollars, I should hope so, I should at least be able to listen to a podcast while I drive) and the window tint.

    They informed me that I will need to take it to have the speaker repair priced and approved, which will mean I then have to take it back a separate time to be fixed, and I will have to have THEM call Silver Rock to let them know the window tint will not pass inspection (because my word and my mechanic's word is apparently not enough), at which point I will need to set up an appointment with the glass company to have THAT remedied, and THEN I can hopefully pass inspection, meaning I will either be overdue for inspection on my new car, or I will have to pay for a Rejected sticker and then, after everything is remedied, pay for a passing sticker.

    I have had to spend a lot of time, energy, and aggravation to fix all of these issues that should not have been present had Carvana actually done their due diligence as they claim they do. This experience has been wildly frustrating and disappointing, and nothing like what Carvana touts itself to be. I would never recommend any friend or family member to Carvana after this.

    I bought a1018 BMW i3 the in March, and it was sold without the range finder that was advertised and I was charged for. I turned it in for a 2019, and it didn't come with the parking assist as advertised (that I also paid for!). When I told them the parking assist was not on the car and sent clear pictures of where the sensors SHOULD be (attached), I was told "yes, you have this feature, you just don’t know how to use it" and they closed the case. I spoke with several people who all said, "Sorry, case closed", even though I have physical proof it is not on the car (again, look at the pics). I had to go to the BMW dealership to get a list of EVERY feature on my VIN, and parking assist (like I said) was not on the car. When I tried to show the person my sheet, they said it wasn’t necessary and that they were “on the BMW website and it shows your car has this feature (huh??) and disputed the printed facts that he refused to even look at.

    I am furious that I was called a liar, and it's a horrible experience knowing a customer service agent can just hang up on you with impunity. I finally found an agent that would look at my feature list. He went to bat for me, and they told him the same. Luckily, he had them cut me a $500 check, which I still have not received. The vending machine isn’t cool enough for such bad customer service and lack of attention to detail on what most people would consider the biggest financial decision they will make. My 3 purchases at Carmax were smooth as silk, this has been a frustrating pain in the butt that has soured what should have been a fun and exciting experience. BTW, everyone in the building/vending machine were amazing. Big smiles, great service, no complaints.

    One ★ is even too much. This car sales company is even worse than everything I ever dealt with. I tried to purchase a car and trading in mine. The following points are important to know here in Florida:
    - they only put one name on the title
    - if they can't read your car (because of their cheap equipment), you have to go to a dealership and have them provide a document for them
    - they take your money even before the deal was done

    - they call you and hang up on you and expect you then to call them back

    After a few weeks of back and forth, they told me that the car that was ready a few days before, suddenly wasn't ready. Really and interesting unorganized bunch of salesmen. Then they cancel the sales and want you to sign up again and increase the price by $800 for the SAME deal. And the final point, after I said I'm not paying the $800 more, they will reimburse you your money in 8-10 business days. That's 14 days they keep your money.

I literally only drove it a couple miles. I could have gotten into an accident or worse. Carvana offered no sorry, no accommodation, nothing. Just told me to take it to the shop & use warranty to get it fixed. It has been a week now that this car has been sitting in the shop.     The ordering, approval, and delivery process went smoothly. But it wasn’t an hour after the truck pulled off we noticed antifreeze and oil leaking. The car was delivered without being cleaned. There was dirt, dog hair and even tools left in the car. They were great about helping me get the vehicle into a repair shop to look at the leaks and I also had them look the vehicle over. They themselves were baffled at how the car was delivered to us the day prior. Oil leaking from the pan, oil leaking from the turbo (which the turbo has gone bad and needs replaced) antifreeze leaking, air filters dirty, oil filters dirty, cabin filter dirty, car dirty, fluids all low, and the brake pads are worn down, etc. Carvana did offer to send a check to pay for detailing of the car, but it’s been 10 days and we still don’t have the car back from repairs. Very frustrating. I do not believe there are any final touch inspections or detailing that happen with these vehicles before delivering.

    We financed a 2024 Volvo XC40 B5 Core through Carvana. We were given paperwork claiming a 150-point inspection was performed on the vehicle before purchase, and we were assured everything was in good working order. However, after nearly being in a highway accident while activating the cruise control, we discovered that almost none of the vehicle's safety features work. We took the vehicle to a shop for diagnostics, and at least 24 codes appeared, including some for major engine, transmission, and stability issues. This put our family in serious danger.

    Upon contacting Carvana about our options, given that no inspection was actually performed, they offered only out-of-pocket expense options to repair or replace the vehicle. Because we felt this was unfair, considering they misrepresented the vehicle's condition, they said our only other option to avoid out-of-pocket expense was to return the vehicle. This was a completely fraudulent business transaction because Carvana falsely marked these serious safety issues as in good working order before purchase.

    The idea is great - buy cars online with no haggling. In reality, Carvana does the absolute minimum to prep a car for sale. The photos of my car online looked great. In person, the paint and trim were quite bad. I submitted pictures to their source for such complaints and they replied that these visual problems were typical of a used car. I strongly disagree - which is probably the biggest problems with Carvana. You don’t test drive the car or even see it before you buy it. They rely on you not wanting to bother returning it after purchase, which purchase date is the very first time you see and drive it. I know if I traded this car back in to them, they would reduce the price because of the exterior wear and damage.

    Carvana put new tires on my car, and chose the absolute cheapest tires they could find. The car quickly developed a wobble. A tire dealership found a balancing weight had been sealed inside the tire when it was mounted, and was bouncing around inside the tire. The cabin air filter was extremely dirty - probably never replaced. The seats were dirty and the whole interior needed a detail. The windshield was filthy on the inside. There was actual mud in the wheel wells. Honestly it appeared that all they did was run it through a car wash, put ultra cheap tires on it and list it for sale with low resolution photos so you couldn’t see the paint and trim problems.

    At least at a dealership you can see the car first, which gives the seller impetus to clean the vehicle. I will never buy from Carvana again, and recommend everyone else avoid this purchase experience. Buying something this expensive without even seeing it in person first puts all the advantage on the seller’s side, and places bets on how willing you are to sit on hold or have conversations over email about the condition of your vehicle.

    I recommend Carmax if you want a similar experience. We had purchased a used car from Carmax in the past and were able to bring it back with concerns after owning for a few days and realizing it had problems, only to see if they would fix the issues. Instead they promptly took it back and refunded our purchase within about an hour. FWIW, we went to a Toyota dealership and bought a used car off their lot. Great experience. It’s rare for me to get so mad at a company that I’ll write a negative review, but Carvana quickly became the worst purchase experience I’ve ever had.

    I purchased a vehicle through Carvana. They delivered it in the pouring rain. The next day, once the car had dried off, I noticed that the car was filthy, there were a few scratches, and 3 of the 4 wheels were badly scuffed. None of this was disclosed on their website. I contacted them about the cosmetic issues on the wheels to which they instructed me to contact SilverRock (Warranty company) who would get it all sorted out for me. I went through the process of contacting SilverRock. This is not something that I felt like doing with a new to me car. After 10 days, I hadn't heard anything and contacted SilverRock once again. They said my claim was denied due to the issues being cosmetic (what??) and said Carvana needs to take care of it as they sold the car like this. I contacted Carvana who said there was nothing they could do because I was outside of my 7 day window.

    I have spent a ton of time between Carvana and SilverRock who are just pointing back and forth at each other, and I am screwed as the consumer. This is the second and absolute last car I will ever purchase from Carvana. I would highly recommend staying away from purchasing a vehicle from Carvana or a warranty from SilverRock. Neither company will stand behind their product and neither will support you as the customer.

    This was the second luxury car I’ve purchased from Carvana in 3 years and after my first experience I was mostly pleased. The first time It was easy to purchase and the car was great. My only complaint was the sales person on site lying about what was covered in the extended warranty. This time around I ran into actual issues and the experience was far worse. The car is what I wanted, but there was a delay in receiving my third party financing information. They called to tell me they needed a second picture of my id, and never bothered to tell me they were missing anything else.

    After accepting a $1990 non refundable deposit I checked to see how the sale was coming and saw the car still for sale. I was completely unable to get their customer service to call me to discuss or give me a customer service phone number. The cancelled sale led to a large issue with the timing of picking up the car and none of the employees I eventually spoke to seemed to care or had anyway to correct the issue. When I picked the car up, it was filthy. Then I spent the next 7 days receiving progressively more rude collection calls from their financing company because they neglected to inform their own company that they had purchased the original car back on a trade in. Needless to say, I will not be buying a third luxury car from Carvana when I purchase one this fall.

    I made my order on a Friday and was suddenly told to have everything ready on Monday (even though my insurance place and the bank for a car loan was closed for the weekend.) I requested an extension and then I had everything ready on Wednesday. Then I was told that Carvana has to process it on their end which shouldn’t have mattered because I scheduled my trade in/delivery for Tuesday and took off work.     Hello. We are Mr. George and Deborah **. Here is our true disaster story with documentation. Also, please listen to the calls between the manager, Mr, Ismael ** and myself, Deborah **. Our daughter purchased a car with Carvana so we decided to the same. I purchased a 2024 Chevy Trax. Day of delivery I called to confirm time only to find out my car had been sold to someone else! My husband and I were headed out on vacation with this car on this exact date. I also, I received a call from Carvana at 3:52 pm to upload proof of new insurance, I did. No car!

    My husband asked me to reach out to a Supervisor, I did. His name is Mr. Ismael **. He promised me (listen to the recording) $1000 back, $250 credit and Free shipping on next car. Found another car and contacted him, he has totally forgotten his promise to me! Mind you Carvana yet has my $1,390 deposit since the other week ago. Still I proceed with the 2022 Dodge Challenger which was to be delivered today. Call back to speak to Mr. Ismael **, I’m told I’m not allowed to by Underwriting department associate (please listen to this call as well today)!

    I made it plain that the mileage is 222,598 and that I thoroughly explained to Mr. Ismael **, the manager, that the mileage shows up sometimes and sometimes the dashboard doesn’t. He told me it was NO PROBLEM. I drive this car everyday and it is fully insured. Again today, no car and no delivery. Also not allowed to speak to the Manager anymore.     Customer service is very dismissive and the Carvana site would not allow me to post my review, which seems to be the case for many other customers as I searched for external reviews of Carvana. I bought a minivan with Carvana in December 2024 and after paying the nearly $2000 shipping fee, it showed up without the 360 camera that it had been posted as having and the only reason I selected this particular minivan. The shipping is non-refundable, so they offered $500 for the mistake because it was too expensive to ship back. I checked in for 4 months trying to receive this check, only to be told with every message that it would arrive in a few weeks. I finally had to start a fraudulent charge claim because they would not return the money. I would not recommend this service and regret thinking this would be a more convenient and straight-forward approach to car buying, they made the entire process more difficult than a dealership.

    Carvana has only 3 ways to prove residency: deed, mortgage or utility bill. It's their policy. They don't, however, require any of this info before taking your money. They cancelled my sale after taking over $28,000 from my bank account because they said I couldn't prove residency, even though the FL Dept. of Motor Vehicles, who told me directly, they would issue a title with the proof of residency I already had. 15 days later I still have no refund and was told today it could take another 14 days to receive.

    Their entire system is automated and inflexible. Reaching a real person is an ordeal and they aren't any more flexible either, because I offered to handle the taxes, title and registration myself and they couldn't (wouldn't) see the logic in that. I no longer believe AI is any sort of threat to humans, since Carvana as a real-life example, is proof that humans haven't yet mastered computer programming.

    I lost out on purchasing 2 other cars as a result (actually one of them I was told was purchased by Caravan) and I have stopped looking until I have my refund. I intend to report this to the Better Business Bureau and the FL Dept. of Consumer Affairs as well. My money transferred electronically from my investment account to my checking account in 2 days. The transfer via Plaid to Carvana was instantaneous. A month from the transaction date to my receipt of a refund, therefore, seems a bit contrived and as such -- simply, bad business practice. Buyer beware.

    Starting off the process was fairly easy. However, finding a way around having to purchase ridiculously expensive insurance through Carvana was difficult. My delivery was scheduled from 11-2 and so I had to take this time off work to be at the delivery location. My delivery didn’t arrive until almost 4 o’clock. I had made arrangements to be places before this. Upon arrival I inspected the car finding it to be absolutely filthy.

    There was dog hair all over the seats and floor boards and it looked as though someone took a dirty rag to wash the windows after using it to wipe down the tires as they were all nasty. I had to take it immediately to the car wash. Also the windshield wipers had to be replaced immediately as they were actually dry rotted. The delivery driver was kind and helpful albeit very late. Over all the experience wasn’t horrible and the car itself is a dream. I would use Carvana again but next time I know that there would be things that I need to be particular about.

    Terrible Experience – Wasted My Time & Money. I initiated my car sale with Carvana, accepted their offer, signed all the necessary documents, and made it crystal clear that I wouldn’t be present for pickup. I confirmed with them in advance that my wife could be there instead, as the title was solely in my name. Based on their confirmation, she flew out of state specifically to be present for pickup.

    While the process of buying was the easiest ever after that they fail, just wanting to write this so others will be aware, there is no 150 point inspection, my vehicle I purchased has bad struts, brakes are worn out, battery cable at post fell apart from corrosion, cab filter was so plugged up air would not come thru vents, tires are weather cracked and minimum. after talking to them and there ext warranty department they had no solution. Best advice I can give is get it inspected right after delivery and then contact them (DO NOT DRIVE IT). Hope this helps someone mean while I'm out additional 3k.

    When purchasing my vehicle, the pictures of the vehicle had a Tonneau cover on the truck. The defects on the truck were noted, but the Tonneau cover was not one of them. When comparing different vehicles, I took into consideration everything that each vehicle had. The tonneau cover being one of them. When the truck was delivered, the Tonneau cover was in horrible shape. The entire cover had large cracks in it and the end seams were torn off. It was a piece of garbage that I now have to figure out how to get rid of and that I'll also have to replace with my own money. Carvana did not disclose the condition of this and with their high shipping costs to get the vehicle to me, I would have been out a lot of money if I backed out because of something that they misrepresented to me.     After getting approved for my current Carvana car I was sent an email & confirmation of the delivery for my car. I made adjustments to my trade in vehicle details letting Carvana know that my vehicle I would be trading in does not run as I know this is very important & I took note of the section that said the delivery driver would check my car to see if all things I signed off on are correct or the same with my vehicle I’m trading in. After signing all of the documents & uploading proof of my insurance my delivery date was pushed back from Friday to the following Monday. I had to now wait 2 more days & plan accordingly to get to work & other places because I was told a specific day my car would be delivered.

    I was given a new delivery date & a new delivery time later in the evening. From reviewing my emails & the texts from Carvana I received I was assured I didn’t need to upload anything else & I was set to go for my delivery date & time. The delivery driver was very nice throughout the entire process. They called me to triple check I was still ready for my delivery, also letting me know that they would be arriving a little a head of schedule. The delivery driver called me back a second time to inform me they would be arriving a little behind the original time they thought they would arrive, but technically on time for the initial delivery time.

    Once the delivery driver arrived he checked my ID & asked to look at the car. I had someone helping me remove my parking lot sticker from my windshield so it took a few minutes before the delivery man could check the inside of my car. Once he was able to check the inside of my car was it then that he was made aware that the vehicle did not turn on. He walked over to the flat bed vehicle with the new car to talk to his manager. When the delivery driver came back he told me he was unable to accept my vehicle I was trading in because it does not start & they don’t accept cars that do not start up because they cannot transport them on a flat bed tow truck. He let me know that I could call Carvana & remove my trade in vehicle to restart my order & them Carvana would set me up with another drop off day & time.

    At no point & time did I see any information on Carvana website or in any of my paperwork stating that my trade in vehicle needed to be movable or drivable in order to trade it in. Even after I changed the status of the car and the delivery date was changed, I was not notified that my trade in vehicle would not be accepted. I tried to Google the customer service number for Carvana & it was very hard to find, but thankfully my friend uses Carvana & was able to help me access a number to call. After waiting over an hour over the phone with a representative & the delivery guy I talked to I was able to get my car delivered the same day, while fixing my delivery order information taking off my trade in vehicle.

    Carvana should have more specific details about what kinds of cars you can and cannot trade in. Carvana should also have better customer service options when a problem arises. It does not help to have to search online for more than 10 minutes to find a phone number to call for help.

    I purchased a SECOND vehicle through Carvana. I got a text while I was driving to pick up my vehicle that the vehicle had electrical issues and could not be sold to me. I contacted Carvana and they said they apologize and I will have to pick another vehicle to buy. I found a vehicle and proceeded with the purchase. When I reached the Carvana location in Plainfield, I noticed right off the bat the vehicle was extremely dirty and had dog or cat hair all in it. I also noticed and notified the Carvana team member that the Auxiliary battery was showing malfunction as well as the key battery was showing that it needed to be replaced. His answer was to call Carvana and let them know. I called and didn't get any answers, so I then sent an email. I still never got an answer.

    I took the vehicle to a repair facility that is in the network with SilverRock due to the complexities of the repair they suggested I take the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership conducted their diagnostics, and the total came out to $12,000. I had to keep calling Silver Rock to get the process moved along. Silver Rock contacted Carvana to discuss what was found. Carvana then sent an inspector to inspect the vehicle at the dealership. Silver Rock and Carvana sent an email to me stating since the repair is $12,000, they suggest I exchange the vehicle and the only thing they can do for me is give me a discount of $500.00. Speaking with Carvana Executive Resolution Team, I was told my current loan will be reversed as I look yet again for ANOTHER vehicle. Now that I have found another vehicle, and I have to pay ANOTHER down payment of $2100.00.

    For the inconvenience Carvana can't do anything about it. OH, and I can't return the vehicle. I HAVE to exchange. In this whole process all I asked Carvana to do was THOROUGHLY inspect the vehicle so that I won't have to go through what I am going through again. I have also spent close to $1200.00 on the vehicle as far as deep cleaning it and getting the windows tinted and getting the paint job fixed. I have asked to speak to someone higher than the Executive resolution team however I have been denied that and told that is the highest I can go.

I checked the air and cabin air filter. They were both dirty and needed replaced.     Pros:

    Cons:

    1) The timers are annoying and disrespectful to me as a buyer.

    5) Customer service is ineffective and the lack of transparency when you reach out to them is obscene. If I heard someone give me a fake “I'm sorry I can’t tell you that” one more time I would have come unglued with rage. I should be able to know what's going on with my car or offered solutions rather than stonewalled. It makes you look like jerks and unprofessional. If I had been told there was a recall on my car that needed to be addressed I would have been far more understanding than hearing, "We can’t tell you what's wrong but our inspection after our “thorough” inspection that we bragged about when you bought the car found an issue but we won't tell you what's wrong" which freaked me out and made me angry.

    6) Inspect the car when you do the registration. Getting a new car is fun but finding out I have to spend more time and money after I just spent a ton of time and money getting it inspected was frustrating, if you aren’t going to do the whole process at least warn me in advance so it isn't like getting socks for Christmas when I get to open my present.

    7) CLEAN THE CAR!!! Regular dealers suck but at least you get a freshly detailed car not one covered on the interior with mechanics grime and a layer of dust on everything. BAD first impression if you ever want me to buy from you again or recommend you to anyone else.

    My point is the devil is in the details, don’t forget I, as a consumer, will forget the pros but the cons are burned into my memory forever!

    I ordered a vehicle, 2024 GMC Terrain. I was asked for documentation proving my wife and I worked, had insurance and lived at our address. I sent both our check stubs. She is the head of Probation, working for our local city, has a state government seal on her check stub, how is that not sufficient documentation? I sent pictures of whatever bills we have, I did the best I could, however, this is the age of paperless billing, we didn't have much around the house.

    A company that sells cars online should not be asking for proof of residency on paper billing. I sent 9 different items with our names and address. Including my state issued identification. I put the money in the bank and the company took it, almost immediately, and I was told the vehicle was ours. We got with the insurance company and got insurance on the vehicle, I sent a copy of the insurance cards, WITH OUR NAMES AND ADDRESS, and a copy of the insurance binder with same information.

    We need a vehicle. Bad. And now. Carvana said it was our vehicle and it was coming Tuesday, 5 days from then. However, on a Saturday when our bank is closed I get a sudden email saying vaguely that the information could not be verified. With no explanation of what EXACTLY is not enough or what more I can do. Our licenses are valid except for our address because ever since covid our DMVs around us are all closed to the public except for the bigger things that need to be done. We moved in our current house 3 years ago. But we have sent more information than what was asked of us. Now, since our bank is closed the money wont be refunded until after 2pm Monday.

    WE NEED A VEHICLE and I thought Carvana was the way to go. They have zero customer service. Just an automated text response no matter what you ask it.     I am purchasing a 3rd car through Carvana. Every time I have had problems. I was thinking the third time was a charm. The first time my appointment was delayed a few days. Here I am again with a delay. The only thing this company does is move cars around. They do not have a sales force; they just ship cars around. This should be a core competency, to move cars around. My experience is that they fail at that 2/3s of the time. When I ask talked to the help desk all they could offer me was for me to purchase another car with no guarantee that that car would arrive on the selected date. They take no responsibility for THEIR mess up. They made no offer for any kind to apologize (other than the “sir I understand why you are upset”) for their mess up. Again, moving cars, it their job. They obviously have no interest in keeping customers.

    To top things off I am paying cash for my car. They took the money out of my account a few days ago before I took possession. When I asked why, they said they needed that to ensure I was ready for the sale. Funny thing is that they were not ready for the sale. Maybe if they spent more time making sure they had their act together rather than wondering if I had my act together, they would beat their being late 2/3s of the time in my experience. Interestingly enough they want told on to my money for over a week if I cancel my order. Then they’re mailing me a check rather than putting my money back where in my account further inconveniencing me.

    So, I unlocked my Experian credit report, was then Pre-approved by Carvana, ordered my expensive vehicle, paid the fees, uploaded my driver's license, got car insurance, then, suddenly, got an email from Carvana: "Your order will be canceled and your vehicle made available to others for purchase." Shocked, I called them! I was told to redo the entire process, even though I'd already completed every step and been charged over $3,000! I refused and requested full cancelation and my account not be charged. They agreed. This was all within 1 hour of my order. However, they still charged my account and caused many problems with my bank.

    I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. And I had my bank reverse the fraudulent charges. Carvana admitted I never should've been charged but said it could take over 3 weeks to get a refund. The supervisor of Carvana I talked to bragged, "The site says I'm in Arizona but I'm really in Mexico City, hahaha!" They attempt to keep any delivery fees even if no vehicle was even delivered or started to be. It's fraud!

    I loved not having to deal with a sales person. I HATED the fact that I had to take 2 days off work (which isn't fair when I now have a car payment) to get my key fob working, also had to get the previous driver removed. I wasn't able to get to a dealership for a week and had to have my car unlocked that week. The previous driver should have been deleted by Carvana NOT ME, the new driver. I also shouldn't have to deal with getting a new key fob that worked. That should have been done by Carvana. Now I was short 2 whole days on my next paycheck. Also the ad said "heated seats" and the vehicle didn't have heated seats. I bought this particular car because it had heated seats. If I had known that as wasn't true and accurate I would have bought a different car at a lower price.

    The only solution I was given was a $100 check (which I doubt will even get mailed to me) or trade the car in (which wasn't an option since I would have had to take another day off work). I do like how I can remote start my car with the key fob, but that has nothing to do with Carvana. In all honesty, not sure if I'll use Carvana again. It was a real hassle to get the issues fixed. Very disappointed to say the least.

    I found the process very frustrating when it comes to engaging - it all looks good on paper BUT...first of all it is impossible to get ahold of a real person. Second, the company is very siloed so no one can really be very helpful. Third (it gets worse)...when they came to pick up my car they say a scratch - and so they would not take it. Only to reappraise it and then give me the exact same amount for it after they wasted a week of my time. Fourth, THE CHECK THEY GAVE ME DID NOT CLEAR AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHY. This company is not a good company to work with!!!

    Car had more undisclosed scratches. New tires I wouldn't even put on a 20-year-old beater. Wheel weights half off the wheel. Thier so called mechanic that serviced the vehicle spilled oil all over the engine cover and only put half the screws back in the skid plate causing it to hang down and become damaged. Now I need to spend $150 to buy a new one. This was all after the first vehicle I ordered was delayed last minute for a minimum of a week, so I purchased another car.

    We attempted to sell my dad's truck weeks before he was moving out of the state which was a very seamless process at first. As he tried to move forward with the process he was told that even though the registration was under his name or my deceased mom's name they could not purchase it this way and he had to get her name removed from the title. Also even though the tags weren't due for a couple months those had to be renewed before they would purchase it which was annoying but not a big deal. He went to the DMV, got the tags renewed and was told the vehicle can be sold without any changes to the title. A call to back to Carvana only to learn the title was fine as is but they needed proof of the mileage. He sent them a picture of the mileage then was told the mileage they had on record was almost 300 miles higher.

    Another call to Carvana where he's told there's nothing he can do and they cannot buy his vehicle. He reached out again and another person said it's an easy fix but he will need to call back either "later today" so the system has time to update. After many days and so many calls with the same run around of either being told they can't help or to call back I finally called myself and conferenced my dad in. I was able to learn that Carvana pulls from some autocheck database and the last recorded amount was from when he had a smog inspection completed months ago. We were given options to fix that but each of the options would likely take weeks to get corrected and it was completely out of their control. The issue was that with all the wasted time we didn't have weeks left.

    In an attempt to explain our situation further, and ask for other options, the customer service rep attempted to use some fake compassion but that quickly changed when I explained that this must have been a human error situation as my dad had no way of removing a few hundred miles from the odometer. The rep began to get an attitude saying Carvana is not accusing my dad of lying and it only escalated further as I tried to explain how frustrating their corporate policy was the consumer from our experiences.

    The rep took everything I said personally even though I re-enforced my frustrations were with the company policy not this rep directly. They spent more time talking than listening and when I tried to get them to let me finish my statement I was accused of constantly interrupting them, even though they keep speaking before I could finish any of my thoughts. The call ended by them telling us that Carvana is not a fit for us and wished us a good day.

    At no point did we raise our voices or use any foul language and this experience left me speechless. After the call ended I was told by my dad that this was the same rep he had spoken with earlier in the day and he about lost it on her which is completely out of character as he's the most patient person I know. From our experience there is a serious lack of customer service training within their culture and I would not ever recommend them to anyone. I hope this review helps someone else from experiencing the headache we have gone through. We are now trying to find someone else to purchase this vehicle in 4 business days.

    The whole shopping and buying experience is amazing and easy. However when they reschedule you twice you'd expect a bit of a cleaner car from the inside. The delivery driver was awesome and punctual when he brought my car. However let's go back to the cleanliness of it. While the driver drops your car from truck you have time to look over it. So I did, and the suv I purchased has a full sun roof. Well that sun roof had been left open by someone and arrived with an embarrassing amount of stains from water damage on the top of my car in multiple spots. There are also orange rust stains in a couple spots as well. The car did not get a wipe down inside because it arrived dusty.

    The outside was clean and it had brand new tires but a few days pass and I start to clean the inside to my liking and discover tons of dog hair and stuck candy under seats in between seats and I'm just shocked because they charge allot for delivery and promise that they back their Inspections but I felt really disrespected how my inside of the car was. Also it's now been 15 days pass and my brakes are making noise so I go get them checked and they are at 5% in the front and 50% in the back and I needed new rotors as well. $900 out of pocket and I barely had the car two weeks. I called and they say that they have a legal limit to leave on the brakes for their inspection but it's obvious they didn't care.

    Car purchasing was easy. Vehicle delivery was timely. Complaint was I received a car with tires that were out of date range. They were unsafe to drive on despite having tread and since I didn’t realize this right away I’m stuck with immediately buying replacements on a car with 11k miles on it. Disputed Carvana with the fact that the tires were out of date when sold but they absolutely refused to replace or compensate for the unsafe tires.

    I purchased a 2019 Chevy Traverse from Carvana. Drive it home the next day it wouldn't start. I was never informed of a issue within the electrical system. I was told to place the key in the arm console and it would start. It didn't work. When I called them they told me the first time I would have to wait until the next day, while I was stuck 45 minutes away from my home, in the cold with a child who is undergoing chemotherapy!     Bought my 3rd car from Carvana, an Audi 3 that was damaged in transit before delivery. Delivery was delayed and I was only informed of the damage when the car was delivered. SilverRock will not cover the damage unless I take it to one of their approved suppliers but that does not work for me so I am stuck paying the 1200 repair charge, I would not, like Carvana, call it a cosmetic issue but call it a large dent and scrape on the roof by the driver's window. Carvana initially told me they would cover everything but the deductible but then refused to pay anything. You make it very difficult to speak with anybody who can really help the customer. This whole process has been a bad experience, and I will never be doing business with your company again.

    Overall experience was good. However, vehicle came off the truck with a damage rear window. Choices were leave the car and Carvana would fix and I would have to come back (1 1/2 drive from my home) or take the car as is, use the Warranty Repair service to get it fixed closer to home. We chose to take the car home. However Silverrock is not the easiest service to use. Lots of menus to go thru. Due to the nature of the situation (coming off the truck damaged) I think I should have been given a name and direct phone # and also shouldn't have to pay the $350 deductible.

    Delay of 10 days in delivery. Gas lid open was displayed on the dash when the gas lid was shut. Honda service quoted fee of $90 just to look at the problem. Local mechanic corrected the problem in two minutes and examined the car for $20. Much adjustment to the Locks and garage door opener from inside the car.     The purchase process was smooth and painless. The two humans I spoke with were friendly and knowledgeable. A year later and I'm still happy with the car (9 year old but very good condition BMW), and I would use Carvana again, but with more caution. My complaint is about the inspection and warranty, and shipping fees. Carvana said the car had passed their 150 point inspection without a problem. I paid $900 non-refundable to have the car shipped from another state. When I picked it up, the dash display warned about a non-emergency engine problem. The Carvana worker strongly advised me to have the car inspected by my own mechanic, which I did.

    It needed a new oil level sensor, but also new rear brakes and one new rear wheel bearing. The bearing arguably was not covered by the inspection or warranty, but the engine and brakes should have been flagged. I interacted with their warranty service provider and was very put off. They would only repair the car with generic parts at a Pep Boys. I chose to use a specialty BMW garage at my own expense. So I paid $2000 more than expected. If I use Carvana again, I'll be biased to only consider local cars with no shipping fee.

    This is my first purchase from Carvana but my family has in the past and never had the issues I’ve experienced. To start, the tire pressure light came on less than 2 miles of leaving the place. When I called to see what to do I was told to take it to a “Carvana preferred facility”. I took it to the closest one near me and that’s where it got worse. First of all they couldn’t run the diagnostic test because they said my car was “too new” even though it’s a 2022. They also said my car failed the emissions test and I was then referred to the dealership. The dealership which was the most help I got from anyone said the emissions test passed without any issues and the tire sensor was a simple recode issue.

    Although the car is used it’s new to me and should have never had the issues right from the start of driving the thing. Also why was a recommended from Carvana directly to a car repair shop that couldn’t even diagnose my car? This has been a horrible experience and if it wasn’t for the dealership being so helpful I would’ve returned this car. Seriously need to consider referring people to particular “Carvana preferred” shops and have a better quality check on the vehicles being purchased.

    I went with Carvana because the car I purchased is a hard one to find. I bought a rare color of a relatively hard to find model. So I’ll admit I was skeptical at first. The whole experience was wonderful. The communication was top notch with updates and tracking the entire way through. The car arrived 2 hours earlier than my delivery window and as expected.
