    Day of delivery driver called 2 hrs before delivery and said when going thru inspection they found out reach hatch release was. It working. He said he could either delay delivery or go ahead and. Deliver that day and that I could just take it to local approved shop to get it fixed. Next day I get an email stating that it would be $100 deductible if approved for repair. I took it to their approved mechanic around corner (Firestone) and Manager there said they would have to run diagnostic but he couldn’t guarantee his mechanics could be successful. According to Carvana if I took it to certified Lexus dealer deductible would be $300. The car should have been fixed free of charge since they delivered it to me knowing it was already defective.

    I rarely leave a 1 star view but this was one of the most frustrating experiences I ever had. I have purchased vehicles from Carvana in the past and had no issues but I decided I was going to trade in my Nissan Frontier for a Ford Maverick. Purchased it and everything was approved on Election day Nov. 5th (Tuesday) and they said they could deliver it that Saturday. I get an email the next day Nov. 6th that the truck arrived at one of the facilities. Friday morning the 8th I get an email giving me steps for the delivery and trade in. That afternoon I get another email stating that my appointment has been delayed and was scheduled the following Saturday the 16th. I reached out wondering why it got delayed and said it was an issue with getting it registered. Disappointed but I figured maybe the truck didn't arrive in enough time in my state and nearby facility to get it registered.

    Fast forward to the following Thursday, November 14th I reached out to make sure everything was still on track and I was told yes. Later that night I get another email stating that my delivery has been delayed once again and was pushed back to Monday the 18th. I decided to call and figure out what is going on. All I got was them reading the exact email that they sent me with no explanation to why it's taking almost 2 weeks for them to get me my truck and why they are having issues registering with the State. Instead of them trying to get to the bottom of it, I was pushed to cancel my order and purchase another truck. I told them to cancel my order and refund me my down payment because this is ridiculous and that if I went in person to a dealership it doesn't take them this long to register the vehicle with the state.

    I'm more frustrated with how Carvana handled this situation. No transparency and was like they didn't care. Didn't even offer to do anything to make right of this situation. As I write this review on November 20th almost a week after I canceled the order, they have yet to relist the Ford Maverick that I was trying to purchase. I will no longer go through Carvana to purchase a vehicle after this and will go to my local dealership and give them my business.

    3rd time customer and will not be using Carvana again based on their lack caring to fix the issues cause by transport company. Purchased car and in imperfections only showed couple of scratches. Drove 2 hours to trade in my car and pick up this one at the vending machine in San Antonio Texas.. The inside of the car is very dirty and will have to spend my own money to have it cleaned right. Smears and smudges on all glass and dashboard. Food etc. under seats. Stains on carpet that CAN be removed if they would have tried.

    Then we look at car and the hauler did not cover and there are small rock chips on the hood, windshield and side mirrors that must have occurred during shipping from Florida to San Antonio Texas. Pointed out to associate. She took pictures and said, "Don't worry. I'll file a report and Carvana will get it fixed." And agreed that it must have been during shipping because was not on the damage in the listing. She never filed the report after we left. So, after me spending few hours on the phone talking to 4 different people who seemed to care and promised a call back to let me know what is going to happen.

    As of today, I have not heard from anyone other than your warranty people Silver rock telling me that they aren't going to fix the damage because it's acceptable cosmetic damage, and if it's windshield damage I need to spend more $ and file with my insurance company even though Carvana caused this damage to the vehicle during shipping which I paid over $1200 to ship. This experience has been horrible and Carvana tells you how much they care that you are happy with your purchase, but it is all talk and NO ACTION. And again, this will be my last Carvana purchase and hope by putting this out on social media outlets I can keep someone from getting the same treatment I have received from Carvana.

    I will wait to share this on social media for one week to give Carvana time to respond or try to remedy this situation. I'm not taking the time to add any images as the associate took pictures of the damage before I left, and I was told they weren't detailed enough so just shows you how much she cared about helping me. Guess that's why I felt like just another # while I was there at the vending machine.

    Worst experience ever for my first time purchasing a Range Rover Velar, Carvana states they did a 150 inspection but it failed inspection in the state of Massachusetts, the tire rod was rotted needs to be replaced, then after taking it to Land Rover in Norwood MA they did the diagnostic test and also found 3 tires rotted and they sent a claim to Silver Rock and Silver Rock denied all 3 tires replacement.

    Putting mine and my family's lives in danger driving this vehicle. The closest repair facility to me is an hour away from my house. To drive this far to a facility to have this fixed and repaired is dangerous to drive this vehicle with these issues. Called Silver Rock and Carvana and reported all these issues and no one was able to help me with this matter. I will never purchase a vehicle with Carvana ever again, worst experience ever.

    There was damage to my vehicle that was reported within the 7 day period. I contacted the insurance company which was no help and they stated the info had not been forwarded. I am extremely displeased with this process and wil never purchase a vehicle this way again.     For anyone that needs a car and are having problems buying one I highly recommend Carvana. My reasons: I had originally purchased a 2019 KIA Soul through Drivetime, I thought that I was getting a great deal. It turns out that I was paying close to $20,000 for a car only worth at best according to my insurance comp. only $9000.00. I found out that I was paying 40% interest rate the rest of the cash is going for interest! I understand that if you really don’t have excellent credit, it’s difficult to get that no money down and low interest rate.

    Recently an incident had occurred I was without a car. I tried to go to a local dealer, however, with circumstances being what they were, the dealer couldn’t help me. I thought, why not give Carvana a try. Within an hour or so after my application I was approved for a 2010 Subaru Forester with only 94,000 mileages. I will inform that there was a low-down payment, however, the price and my payments are within my budget. While I was paying close to $600 to Bridgecrest, my new car payments are half of that. Although, I only had my car from Carvana for only a week, so far, I'm quite pleased with the performance and comfort of my car.

    Overall Experience: The overall sales process was very smooth and quick. Response times for approval and follow-up on documents were excellent, which I really appreciated. Room for Improvement: The one downside was the condition of the vehicle at delivery. It seemed as though the previous owner and their children had just exited the vehicle. The exterior was dusty, and the interior had sticky windows in the backseat. It would have been great if someone had taken the extra time to ensure the car was clean and presentable.     Mostly a good experience. Here are the negatives: Car was advertised as no transport fee. This was later revised to say, yes, there js a transport fee. Was told I would get the car the day after signing the purchase agreement. This was revised to a few days later. I believe the issue was that the car was not in town, however, that was Carvana‘s mistake. This added $300 to the cost for me, and an additional wait to receive the car. There was only one smart key. I think this should be made clear at the time of purchase, and a plus would be offering to provide a second key at an additional charge. Time frame promised for delivery of car was 2-5 pm. It arrived at about 6:15 PM. The delivery person did call to let me know it would be late, but he didn’t call till about 5:30 pm. This is my second Carvana purchase. I also bought a car in Minnesota and that went smoothly. Interesting, since Arizona is corporate HQ!

    When I was looking to purchase another car and came across Carvana, I was skeptical. I first did an application but my credit was locked and I waited to come back to it in a week. So I finally completed the application, was screened to see what I would qualify for. My credit is decent and I also have another company that I am on with my BF for his car. I was intrigued by how quick the process was. I never spoke to a person about anything except when they would deliver my car.     I bought a Jeep Renegade from Carvana and 3 months later my Key Fob would no longer work so when I called to see about getting a replacement they pushed me off to SilverRock who subsequently told me I didn't have an extended warranty. I went to a Jeep dealership to see about getting a replacement and was told the Fob I was given didn't actually belong to that car make and it would cost me $220 for the correct replacement. Carvana washed their hands of any help and basically said I had 7 days to return the car which is ridiculous because who would think to check and see if the Key Fob I was given wasn't the right one since it worked initially. They have the worst customer service and no one to talk with, only text or chats.

    Got email day before delivery, it was delayed for a week due to an employee calling out. I attempted to pick up vehicle and again day before pickup (3 hours away) was told it was delayed. Was told it was in Albany, was told they didn’t know where vehicle was, basically story after story. Mind you, this vehicle was already registered in my name and insured and no one knew where it was.     I have had my Lincoln exactly a week today and it is now in the shop for a SECOND time. I drove it for less than two minutes the first time before the check engine light came on. It arrived with a huge paint chip that the dealership caused and also obvious damage on the driver’s side mirror that WASN’T there in the pictures but they refuse to make that right.     The car was delivered Tuesday. By Wednesday my low tire pressure light was on. Filled it with air and it was flat by Friday. Took it in to Firestone. Was told that I will need 4 new tires.     Love the Vehicle. However, my Carvana experience was less than ideal. The car was dirty. The undercarriage was filthy as if someone had gone off roading with it and there was an additional 23 miles on the car’s odometer.     I originally ordered a 2018 Toyota camry from Carvana. The car came and was clearly not Maryland inspected. There was an open recall on the vehicle, there was a seat belt sensor that was out, and the car was filthy. I returned the car and ordered another to replace it. The car was delivery delayed twice and when the car came there was fresh body paint on the back window. I assume that the delay in delivery was due to the car being damaged in transport since there are scratches and dings that were not present when I viewed the car online, but carvana never told me what the delay was about.

    The new car showed up, it was dirty on the inside and the front brakes need to be replaced. I am going to have to spend my own time and money to get the car inspected since I can't trust that something hasn't been disclosed. I like the car and I'm only keeping it so that I don't have to go through the whole process of swapping it out for a new one with my insurance company, etc. I can only hope that the financing part of the deal isn't as bad as the vehicles seem to be.

    I purchased a 2018 Toyota Tacoma. It was graded a '95' on its condition according to the online Carvana information. It supposedly was inspected. However, for peace of mind, I took it to my mechanic for a PPI. They discovered all sorts of issues, including a broken and leaking water pump (half of the antifreeze had leaked out), bad brakes (front and rear) tires that need replacement, a worn out drive belt, old spark plugs, and so forth. I called Carvana and they told me I had to work with the insurance carrier, Silver Rock. I paid $2602.53 for repairs (not including tires) yesterday, of which Silver Rock is covering only $585. They said that a part had to 'FAIL' in order to cover the repair. What do they want - for the drive belt to snap while driving the vehicle? For the engine to overheat and fail while being driven?

    To say I am unhappy is an understatement. I believe that there was NO inspection and whomever Carvana hired to inspect the vehicle simply tried to cover up any faults in the vehicle (the mechanic mentioned that it looked like the undercarriage of the vehicle had been cleaned and even painted in areas.) I'll never buy from Carvana again. (The Carvana reps I've met or spoken with have been nice - but the insurance company is a crock - shady at best. If Carvana wants to keep any business they need to find a different warranty/extended care insurance partner.)

    Drove to the Wyoming MI location to finish a transaction and trade in my car on 11/11. When I took my possession of my new EV, it only was charged to 21 miles of range. I had a 45 mile trip home. They were apologetic but offered no real resolution. The “Carvana Guarantee” is that cars would be charged to at least 50%. The car itself is great. The process is frustrating and this problem ruined my day, as I had to find a nearby charging station and charge for two hours (spending out of pocket money) just to get home. Would not recommend Carvana. Would be happy to revise my review but their “advocates” seem to care very little about my significant inconvenience.

    The worst, most frustrating, drawn out messed up experience you can imagine. I've repeatedly had to reschedule delivery because of their screw ups or utter failure to communicate. You will never talk to the same person twice, assuming you even reach a person. They had the wrong address on the buyer's order that they gave my lender so the check didn't go to the right place. Because of this dragging out, the offer on my trade-in has expired twice. When I refresh it, the amount was always different (lower typically). They only give you 48 hours from the time you place your order to get them everything they need although they are never clear about what that is. I am beginning to believe that they are not actually in possession of the car I'm trying to buy and these are all stalling tactics. Will NEVER put myself through this again.

    In the 1st 24 hours the check engine came on. The 2nd cyclinder was misfiring. I replaced the spark plugs. Then I drove out of town for a family emergency, which I topped off the coolant. On my drive back, the engine began to overheat. I made it to the nearest gas station to fill the coolant up. After burping the coolant reservoir, it looked like there was enough coolant. My concern is the coolant is leaking into engine. The warranty company doesn't have a person that eventually answers. The automated system just reroutes to the same information. If possible, I'd like to receive a follow-up from the review and to help resolve the issues.

    I have never in my life had such a bad experience purchasing a car. Your staff are uneducated, rude, give inaccurate information and do not ask pertinent questions. First of all, I tried to finance through Carvana with a credit score of 796 and was offered a 22% interest rate! When I call your rude employee to ask why my interest rate was so high she just kept respecting a script and would not let us speak to someone above her. This created so much hassle….you had to cancel my order, I had to secure financing, which I did through my bank with a 5.99% interest rate!! I had to keep freezing and unfreezing my credit reports because I keep them frozen at all times now. And that is what the problem was with the 22% offer from Carvana.

    Apparently I had been sent multiple emails stating Carvana was trying to access my Equifax but were denied because it was still frozen. If your rude employee had let us speak with someone that could have easily been corrected and we could have pressed on. I don’t have enough time to put into words all the issues I had issues with Carvana during this purchase. What I will tell you is that your staff are not properly trained on the entire purchasing process but also understanding the forms that lenders want/need. Next time, I’ll use Car Gurus. One suggestion: have one POC for each customer.

    We are for the most part satisfied. The issue we had was as follows. We were scheduled to pick up the vehicle on the 28th of October. We went to the appointment to get the car and the gentleman told us the car was not there. He showed us the email between him and another person where he submitted a ticket to notify us, but no one did. We drove all the way there for no reason. No one could tell us what happened or where the vehicle was. I was on The phone with several people that night and the following day. Still no real answers just apologies.     I purchased my first car from Carvana a few days ago. Also I knew what I wanted and had no interest in the typical dealership experience. I signed a couple of pieces of paper in person, but completed everything online in 15 minutes. I was at the Carvana location approximately 30 minutes and got to test drive the car before leaving. I purchased a 2023 BMW with very low mileage and a factory warranty in place. I recommend declining Carvana warranty and purchasing an extended warranty from a BMW dealer - this is what I’ve always done and you’ll thank me later. The car looks new aside from a couple of minor scratches in the clear coat. Overall the car is in excellent condition and I’m happy with the purchase.

    Also I’d like to mention the car was competitively priced and lower than what I would have paid at a BMW dealer. Also, I traded in my 2016 BMW and received 18k for my trade which was great. Lastly, the 7 day warranty is in place for your protection, so I’d suggest getting your car inspected within that timeframe for peace of mind.     My wife and I have purchased 2-vehicles from Carvana, a truck in 2016, and an SUV in September 2024. The experiences couldn't be more different. The first was a great experience, which is why we went with them again a few months ago. About an hour after the SUV was delivered, we saw several imperfections not listed on the profile detail page for this SUV. Moreover, several features they list on that page were either nonexistent, or unavailable because the vehicle came with only 1 key (which we knew about). The remote start was listed as a feature for this vehicle, but when programming the infotainment states both keys must be present to program. We started the first of many calls within a few hours.

    Within the first few calls we were promised a $200 credit for a key fob and were told 2-weeks after our return timeline had passed we'd be sent a $200 check, which was fine. However, we would find out later it needed to go through their approval process and would ultimately be denied (zero follow up to let us know). We called back about our other issues many times within our window and would continue to experience a roller coaster of some decent calls mixed with many bad. Most of Carvana's customer service reps simply lack any kind of people skills, and several times we'd have calls dropped on us where nobody ever called back even though they'd take down our phone numbers during the call.

    They have no follow through, and it is completely up to the buyer to initiate everything/anything if something is wrong. Although, Carvana would ultimately approve fixing one of the imperfections (via 3rd party), it was a struggle to get even that. Overall, this experience with Carvana was not worth the perceived convenience of purchasing online, because if you have an issue and call them for assistance it's going to be an uphill fight.

    Car arrived dirty and sticky on the inside hadn’t been cleaned or detailed at all. The top of the car had been scraped and there was a large ding on the hood that the car care refused to cover. Inside had white tacky substance that they also wouldn’t clean. Not what you would expect from a dealer. Price was good for the car we wanted, person who dropped the car was nice and apologized but Carvana did nothing about the issues whatsoever. We could reject or return the car. None of the issues listed were in the description of the car imperfections. Even though it’s less of a hassle you’re probably better off going to a dealer to where they’ll at least clean the car before you pick it up. Bought this car for our daughter and my husband had to clean the whole thing. We still can’t get whatever white substance is in the door off. Pretty disappointed in our first purchase through them.

    Most of everything was seamless - the part that almost made me cancel the whole thing, was the part where I had to jump through hoops to try and get my cashier's check verified. I was unaware of this policy - had I known that it was going to be such a hassle, I would never have done it that way. If I had known, I would have taken care of it while I was in the bank, but instead, I got a text on a Friday night when I was supposed to pick the car up on Monday, so I had to do all this extra work over the weekend.

    THEN, after we made the call with your rep and my bank, that STILL was not enough information and they had to call back to get the info that they already were given, and info that is clearly printed on the check.     They had covered up evidence of dry rotting tires with a nice application of tire black. Wouldn’t have known about it if the car warning system hadn’t issued a warning of 3 tires at one time. My tire company said I shouldn’t drive the car at highway speed. After a full day of texts between me and their AI “consumer advocates”, I moved on to their warranty people ‘Sliver Rock” to no avail. Finally had to shell out another $920 for tires. Won’t darken their doors ever again. Had a much better experience at Carmax a few years earlier!

    I was originally scheduled to pick up the vehicle on October 19th but upon arrival after filling out all paperwork I was informed that the vehicle was delivered to the wrong location. The young ladies made the experience bearable, however I had to Uber back home.     I was buying a car with Carvana. Everything seemed smooth at first. Although, the description states that only 3 bank statements required, it takes up to 6 bank statements (from the same bank account) before I can proceed. After a tedious procedure, every paperwork submitted, Carvana through its payment system/partner withdrew the down payment/first payment from my bank account. After that, Carvana sent another notification that some 'task' is needed before finalizing the purchase, I did that. Anyway, Carvana, the next day, claimed that I expired the 'task' and my purchase was cancelled. I was kind of annoyed with all of the steps and now cancelled, but still can live with it, until knowing that my down payment/first payment will be held for another 10-15 days.

    Carvana might be seemed as a safe way to purchase a car and not getting a lemon, but reading some reviews about Carvana is not much different than a regular dealer and Carvana's vehicles are much way more pricey with APR 5% higher than any other lenders. What's the benefit to purchase from Carvana?

    Did simple google search to see if I should be contacting a attorney at this point In time, and it seems I should. I bought a 2014 Mercedes Benz G550 G63 from Carvana on 9/21/2024 for $73,000. 2 days after it was dropped off in my driveway the check engine light came on, and it has been to a mechanic 4 times in the last month, and this most recent trip to the mechanic since I dropped the truck a week ago, they are stating it needs $16,000 worth of work. Serious engine work, steering components, tie rods, leaking oil and radiator, etc. I thought Carvana did a “150 point inspection”.

    This expensive truck was dropped off in my driveway roughly 1 month ago, I barely have had time to drive it. The check engine light has come on 4 times and each time taking it to “PepBoys Auto” and now the most recent trip taking it to a local mechanic recommended by my local Mercedes dealer because PepBoys wouldn’t diagnose the problem anymore. Carvana just keeps telling me to call my third party warranty company Silverrock but they WON'T fix the truck. This whole experience is a scam. There is no way they looked at this truck before dropping it off in my driveway, this is insane! I have a 7 month pregnant wife and I’m without a truck to drive! They REFUSE TO FIX MY TRUCK!

    My vehicle purchase from Carvana was an absolute nightmare. Initially there were several shipping delays and inconveniences followed by an inaccurate delivery report saying that the vehicle had been detail cleaned and test driven with no issues. However, following the speedy departure of the delivery person, a quick test drive revealed Many issues that were later described by an independent mechanic as "Deadly" and "An absolute safety concern". The vehicle was delivered with Zero rear braking capabilities. Working with their warranty company, SilverRock was effortless and easy, however U, the consumer, have to do all the work to get your vehicle up to the minimum standards of safety and as the vehicle was advertised by Carvana.

    Carvana's customer service is spotty. I tried the chat but it was of little help. The 1-800 number, which I found on Google, seemed to get me further. I spoke with approx 30+ "advocates" with dismal results. And if they promise or schedule a return or follow up call, good luck. I never received mine! Overall, once the repairs are completed I will be happy with the car, definitely not the company. Drive you happy? More like Drive you crazy!!!

    The buying experience was not what I expected. The vehicle had paint chips and a door ding. The passenger rear window didn't close all the way up. See some pictures I uploaded. Carvana states they will take the vehicle back. However, your delivery and/or shipping cost are not refundable. You could be out $700 to $2000. They provide a 100 day warranty. Good luck trying to use the warranty. It's a third party provider and they want to keep their profit. Their goal is don't pay out. Carvana states that they cover what you can see in a picture from 4 to 6 feet from the vehicle. What a joke! Lesson learned. Buy pre-owned vehicles in person. See them, drive them before buying.     I read reviews all good. I took a chance and it was a huge mistake. When my car was delivered it had so much damage that wasn’t in the order. The first 3 pictures are what they showed as the ONLY imperfections on the car. 2 of them was on the tire rims and the other was a little webbing on a door. The driver took pictures of all the other damage not listed. When I spoke to them on the phone they even extended my return days waiting to see if they would fix it. I told them I did NOT want the car if they weren’t fixing the damage because it was so bad! Once the claim was approved it was only for the back quarter panel. They said all the other damage was normal wear and tear.

    The body shop guy sent another claim saying this was a botched paint job and not any type of normal wear and tear. Mind you, at one point I said come get it, I’m returning it and they said too late. Because the warranty company took an extra week to get back with us the extended return time had passed. After HOURS of escalating this between Carvana and Silver Rock, which both companies kept blaming the other, I finally gave up. One of the first Carvana reps told me I purchased the premier warranty and worst case scenario I could have it fixed with that and pay the $100 deductible. So I tried that and they informed me that doesn’t cover this type of damage it only covers paintless dent repair! What? That’s in the fine print even though the outline of it is get all your dings and scratches repaired with this warranty.

    I’m also looking for others that have experienced these issues as if there are enough of us this could turn into a class action! I was only able to add a few of my pictures of damage as it limits the amount of pictures. My car as paint drips, bubbles from where someone pulled the tape off a fresh paint job, I even have BLACK paint on my silver grill and white paint on the black trim! It’s crazy that anyone tried to sell this with only 3 imperfections listed. I would have never looked twice at this car. Carvana and Silverock both receive 0 stars. Except I had to select at least 1. Do NOT go through them!

    I placed an order for a vehicle to return to work on 9/12/24 with the delivery date indicating 2 days. After my order was placed my receive date turned into 9/23/24. I was approved rather quickly, however my delivery date changed 3 times. There is no real person to talk to thru their website, only an automated bot or so it seems. The responses are always the same, "Sorry to hear that, we apologize, or unfortunately no we are unable to help you". The delivery date went from 9/23 to 9/25 to 10/1 from a order placed on 09/12/24. If it is there issue why the vehicle is not delivered on the date they provide you.. You are out of luck with no consideration but an automated apology. "Oh it's at a dealership, we have to go pick it up from out of state, the vehicle has to go thru a process, the vehicle missed the truck."

    If all these things come into play or could. Do not false advertise a delivery date.. If I had to wait 3 weeks for a vehicle I could’ve just went to a dealership. After the 2nd time being rescheduled I searched for a number online to 1 of their locations in Dallas. This is when I learn, there is indeed a number to speak to a live person, however nothing changed, my delivery date was still the same. No help at all, the representative ** indicated he would put in the notes for the driver to give me some "goodies" when delivering my vehicle. Driver had no clue about anything. The window to deliver my vehicle was 5-8. My vehicle was delivered 7:46 pm. Which means it's already dark, I am unable to properly inspect the vehicle's actual imperfections.

    The website indicated 3 imperfections, which is a total lie. There were significant chips, scraps, and a crappy cover up job on about 10-15 scrapes on the windows, horrible patchwork for scratches that look like concrete melted on the vehicle. A crappy job of gluing a silver piece of metal on the rim or the rear passenger window which came off 6 days after having the vehicle. I did need my vehicle to return to work on 9/30/24. NO one cared or considered my inconvenience. They do give you 7 days to return the vehicle, but how could I. No refunds are given for shipping costs, and after waiting almost 3 weeks for a vehicle that had way more damage than the website indicated, bottom-line I needed the vehicle to go to work. I would never purchase from Carvana again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

    Purchased a vehicle for $21000 dollars and it was delivered. After 2 days we went to fill it up with gas and there is a major problem. The gas pump simply clicks off. This must have been a known problem prior to selling this vehicle which was never addressed. It literally takes 20 minutes to try and get any gas in the tank and you never know when it’s actually full. Once Carvana delivers they don’t want to hear from you or how you were wronged…. They wash their hands of you and only refer you to the warranty company, Silver Rock. There are no mechanics that can help us so we have to wait until mid November just to get into a dealer. While I don’t expect perfection for a used vehicle, it is clear Carvana just cares about making the sale and not doing what is right for you, the consumer. I will never recommend using Carvana to anyone in the future.

    The Carvana experience, overall, was very good! I was incredibly happy with the online purchase experience, I was able to "check out" in about 25 minutes once I was ready to commit. However, the pick-up was not as smooth as I'd like. I chose a delivery date 10 days away. I arrived at my appointment on-time, and was informed the vehicle was not ready yet, they said they needed time to "detail" the vehicle. Watching the car descend the elevator was an awesome show. Paperwork fill-out was fine too. Exiting the building to see the car at a 10-foot distance, I noticed scratches & blemishes on it that were not disclosed in Carvana's picture statement.

    A manager is called and I’m told that things that are not "easily seen from a distance" are ignored. That would be OK if: 1) did not see them from 10-feet away, and 2) the blemishes Carvana did disclose were minor in comparison to the others not listed. I took delivery of the car anyway, murmuring the whole time that Carvana got that last laugh at me; "no wonder the price was good". One body shop was able to remove majority of the scratching with acute detailing work. What's annoying here is Carvana also used the term "we're detailing the vehicle" (seriously, just call it a car-wash if all you're doing is pressure washing it) and that if Carvana tried a little harder in the final presentation/clean, the vehicle would be immaculate as it is now and i would not be writing a 2000 character review as a thorn-in-my-side.

    But, overall I would recommend Carvana because I felt like I got a good price, delivery was OK, the car is great, and so far 2 months later- no weird marketing phone calls! It was such a better experience than going to a dealership IF you know what you want. All-in-all, ignoring the detailing snafu, probably spent less than 1 hour total from “buy now” to “driving”, which is amazing considering last time i bought at a dealership it was almost 5 hours. Finally, Carvana's 7-day money-back guarantee is really nice- although I didn't need it, it worked remarkably well to extinguish all my mental "what-ifs" and instill confidence in the process.

    From the moment the car came down from the tow truck. It was filthy. The minute I open the door the car was covered in dog hair, the windows, the combination meter everything was dirty and full of grime. Then after spending over $300 on a detail, I come to find out that the car is completely covered in overspray. I contacted Carvana and submitted a claim and they said that was normal wear and tear and not covered. This is really sad because this is the car that I’ve been looking for for a while with the correct packaging. But now I have to spend thousands of dollars to get the car repainted. Is all while the listing only said that the car had minor scuffs and scratches and a little wear and fade in the interior.     Totally irritated. Was told I was good to go only to have a rep contact me back and tell me that because my ex (who I have not talked to in 5 years) was on my title I could not use my old car as a trade in even though it is in my divorce decree that I get the car upon the finalization of the divorce. They would not take the divorce decree as proof and that he needed to be present on the delivery of the new car and trade in of the old. My downpayment then went from 690 (990 with trade in) to almost 4000.00. The rep told me she would send in the refund request for the 690 and didn't do so.     Carvana pockets $1275 for every refund and exchange. It would be a free test drive at a dealership. You pay them to ship a car near you (plus roughly $600 for delivery to your house). They claim this is made clear on their website and, in their defense, it is raised in the purchase process. You as a consumer must be aware of the implication: You're paying this as a blind faith gesture they will deliver what they promise with transparency and business ethics.

    The vehicle I purchased arrived full of scratches to the interior and an intense dog smell. I decided the vehicle wasn't what I wanted, and was reminded of this non-refundable fee while attempting to exchange it for a more expensive vehicle. They would have earned 4k and kept the 40k cash I already paid, but instead, they will keep $1275 while censoring critical reviews on whatever forums they control.

    Look at the top search results for Carvana reviews, and you will see a Reddit channel they moderate. Read the rules for that channel. You cannot share a negative experience on that channel. Apparently, they allow reviews on their website and provide users with a review link days after an exchange is performed. We shall see if they live up to this claim. Carvana puts reputation and advertising above its core business and customer base. Is that the type of company you'd do business with?

    My experience with Carvana has been absolutely horrible. My husband and I were trying to purchase an SUV and trade in our current car. Every time we submitted a document we were called and told we needed something else. Whenever we would call and talk to someone, they would tell us something different from the last person. One representative refused to let us talk to her manager after we asked. We finally hung up and called back to get someone else and were yet again told different information. After finally getting all the documentation they needed, we had the car delivered just to be told our trade in wasn’t eligible because the employee couldn’t get the Bluetooth code reader to work on our car. We have had other code readers run just fine on our car before. All that hassle for nothing. I would not recommend Carvana to anyone unless paying cash and not trading in a vehicle. They make it too difficult.

    Carvana is a joke. We have purchased 7 vehicles from Carvana. We found a different vehicle before any transportation or anything was done to the corvette ordered. We changed to a Land Rover. Delivery on both of these vehicles was weeks away. They refused to refund the shipping fee because it was not within 24 hours. It was 48. The customer service team was rude and provided little assistance. The manager sent me a response and immediately disconnected himself when I asked for reconsideration. I have a law degree and will be seeking remedies so others are not taken advantage of by this company. They will be headed down the same path as Vroom with these Business practice. I implore you do not give this company your money. They don’t care about their customers, only stealing your money.

    1) Carvana refused to deal by my bank's trade in procedure and cost me an extra $620 while getting paid the same for my trade-in. All the while, every rep I spoke to/dealt with was telling me "No problem, we'll get it all taken care of.". 2) Carvana's phone reps can't speak/understand basic English. The result is a painful process that's supposed to be revolutionarily simple. They made what was supposed to be a joyous occasion one I don't ever want to go through again.

    3) Once I got the car home and gave it a thorough inspection, I discovered multiple panel clips were missing in various places. Example- the radiator cowl at the front of the car had zero clips holding it on the car and was flopping around. There were far more clips missing elsewhere in the vehicle. 4) Carvana's reps texted me two days after the purchase was final wanting me to call my bank and help them cash the check for the purchase price. When I declined to help, they responded with aggression.

    Beware - Carvana will misrepresent details and options on their vehicles. Carvana will not stand by their word and own up to their misleading (bait & switch) vehicle listings. The only thing that I have to say positive about Carvana is the ease of the entire process of finding, purchasing, financing and delivering the vehicle. However, after going back and forth with Carvana for over a month to resolve their mistakes, they still haven't been resolved:

    FACTS: The description listed on the vehicle was not true. In fact, there are 3 features that the listing says the vehicle was equip with did not exist. I didn't notice these features were missing until several days after the car was delivered. I contacted Carvan and they admitted to the mistake and said I could pick another vehicle from their inventory. I told them that there were only a few days left in the 7-day window to find another vehicle and that wasn't enough time, so they extended an additional 7-days to my search. I then asked them to look for vehicles that matched with the same (options, price, year, millage, etc.) as the vehicle I purchased, so they did.

    However, the only vehicles Carvana found that matched were either older models, much higher mileage or if they did find a match, the vehicles were $5k more expensive than the vehicle I purchased. I then asked Carvana to cover then price difference of the vehicles they found and they said no, I would have to pay the additional price difference, which I refused to do because it was Carvan's mistake misrepresenting the vehicle I purchased and was delivered. At that point Carvana said then I could return the vehicle, and they would only give me a $500 credit and that's all. I also asked for a refund of the delivery fee I paid, which they agreed to do at first, but when I called back asking when would I receive the money they said there was no record of them saying that and they flat out said they were not going to refund the shipping fee back.

    To even add to Carvana's mistakes, during this period of time I took the vehicle into the dealership to have an inspection done and it was determined in the inspection report that two of the tires were worn to the point they were unsafe to drive. So I contacted Carvana again, this time about the tires and was only told to contact Carvana's warranty company Bridgecrest. So I contacted Bridgecrest and they said that the dealership report was not an authorized shop in their network, therefore wasn't valid to them; and that I would have to use a shop from their list. So they said Pepboys was on the list and I could schedule an appointment with them which I ended up doing. So I took it to Pepboys, and they called Bridgecrest and got authorization to confirm if the tire needed replacement.

    After waiting for an hour for them to confirm the tire replacement, Pepboys called Bridgecrest and was told the claim was declined and I needed to call Bridgecrest to speak with them. After calling Bridgecrest myself, I was told that I took too long to take the vehicle into Pepboys and my period to have the tires replaced expired. What a waste of my time and money! I will never sell a car buy anything from this company again!     First time buying from Carvana. Car searching was easy and efficient. Once I found the vehicle I wished to purchase, I started the online buying process. The application was easy but had trouble uploading documents up to the point Carvana telling me the car had been put back online for others to purchase. This did not make me very happy having already put a lot of time into completing the online process.

    Once approved the trade-in and vehicle pickup at the Carvana was easy. I did want to put more money down in the vehicle prior to purchase but with all the issues I had with the online experience I did didn’t want to have additional issues the day I was picking up the car. Also the person that was helping me was new and still learning the process. The car is very nice with the exception of a large door ding through the paint on the passenger door (not disclosed) but Carvana is helping take care of the repair.

    One other thing I have noticed since driving the car for a few weeks now, the windshield should have been replaced. Can barely see through it when the sun is coming in through the windshield. Dangerous! Going to have to replace it out of pocket. The windshield issue should have been disclosed prior to purchase.     I took delivery of this beautiful, blue 2022 Honda HRV on October 17. Initially noticed that were more cosmetic blemishes than in the ad. I said something to the delivery driver who told me they can no longer do anything about that and I would have to file a claim. Or he could take the vehicle back. No big deal, had them leave the vehicle and started filing a claim with pictures. I heard back about my claims the following day, stating that they are normal wear for this age/usage and the claim was denied. We aren’t talking small chips on the front bumper but large scratches (12+ inches) and tar caked to the paint. But that’s “normal” for a 2 year old vehicle…

    Then I take it to the local dealership for an inspection. It has a bad front strut, bad steering rack and several service items needed (engine and cabin air filters, transmission flush, brake flush (contaminated fluid). So filing another claim and I have to pay the deductible for these repairs and they won’t cover any of the service items. Yes, I probably should have returned the vehicle but I did a trade-in and was told I would not be able to get my car back after they took it.

    This is a very shady practice considering they plainly stated that they did a thorough inspection of the vehicle yet it arrived in this shape to me, the customer. And they’re unapologetic and I’m here with nearly $4000 of service/repairs needed on a 2 year old vehicle. With the warranty it won’t cost that but it is still poor customer service and poor practice to not try to make these things right.

    We are happy with the vehicle we purchased overall, but the experience was less than ideal. We were given a delivery window of 8-11 am on a Tuesday. We were informed around 10:30 that the car was not at the Carvana location and it was in transit and would still need to be detailed before it could be delivered. The car was finally delivered around 2:30 pm causing me to lose an entire day of work. (I am a carpenter and cannot work from home.) Over the weekend the one single key we were given with the vehicle broke and cut key part of the fob broke off and was lost and we were unable to start the vehicle because it's a turn key ignition.

    When I contacted Carvana, I was essentially told I was out of luck or I could place a claim with SilverRock to get repairs done. This is not a repair. I had to have it taken to a Honda dealer, order new keys and have them programmed losing another day of work in the process and costing me several hundred more dollars to get this taken care of. So, no, not a great experience.

    I have had the car for 21 days and it has been in the dealers for repairs for 17 days. When I reported to Carvana that the dealer reported the damage to the car was greater than what they identified they told me that I should have read the carfax. I did read it and it reported minor damage. Here I am $2600 in repairs.     The buying process was relatively seamless and pricing seemed relatively competitive given the convenience of the purchase process. The car also passed the independent post purchase inspection I went through, at least for major items. That being said, we needed to replace two tires and there were three major dings on the body that were not noted under imperfections. When I contacted them, they gave me the option to take it to Firestone. Firestone has no experience with my make/model and couldn't tell me what steps they would take to resolve. Instead took to the dealer who fixed most (not all) of the issues. So far I'm out an extra $600 and, have been without my new vehicle for 2 days.

    Clearly carvana didn't do even a basic check of the vehicle before delivery. Also, it wasn't even clean. Sticky drops of what look like coke are all over the back seats. The exterior badly needs a wash and wax. Planning to spend a couple hundred more dollars on a detail clean as soon as I get it repaired. If you're considering doing business with Carvana, I'd strongly recommend a traditional dealer if you don't want to deal with having to correct problems on your own.

    Our experience with Carvana has been disastrous. They failed to disclose that our Land Rover Discovery had been in a prior accident, which wasn’t mentioned during their walkthrough. The car arrived with broken glass on the floor, which continues to spill from the tailgate. We’ve spent over $4,000 in repairs and are facing another $4,000 in costs, but the Executive Warranty department has shown no empathy. They refuse to cover the repairs, despite this being a clear safety hazard—especially with our 2-year-old with special needs.

    This situation may violate multiple laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as their refusal to address the broken glass issue disproportionately affects the safety of our child with special needs.     Additionally, Carvana’s actions may violate state and federal consumer protection laws, such as the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which mandates the disclosure of accurate warranty details and prohibits deceptive warranty practices. Their refusal to honor their 100-day warranty and failure to disclose the vehicle’s prior accident history could also fall under unfair and deceptive trade practices in violation of consumer fraud laws. Selling a car that was falsely advertised as being in excellent condition may further breach lemon laws, which protect consumers from purchasing defective vehicles.

    Carvana has already faced lawsuits and legal action in several states, including Florida, Pennsylvania, and Illinois, for failing to deliver titles on time and for selling vehicles without proper inspection. The company has been investigated for numerous violations of consumer protection laws, reflecting an ongoing pattern of negligence. Our case adds to this history of poor customer service and deceptive practices, as they continue to deny responsibility for the vehicle’s condition.

    Furthermore, Carvana’s claim that the broken glass isn’t a safety issue is outrageous, especially considering the 2022 Hyundai recall involving similar glass-related concerns. Hyundai recalled thousands of vehicles after it was discovered that windshields could detach in an accident, posing a significant safety hazard . This highlights that broken or loose glass can indeed be a serious safety issue, which Carvana is choosing to ignore. Their lack of accountability, empathy, and customer care has forced us to consider legal action. We believe this negligence could also violate multiple consumer protection laws and the ADA, given the safety concerns affecting our special needs child.

    I recently purchased a BMW 3 Series from Carvana. Upon delivery, the driver pointed out a couple of minor scratches on the car which were not disclosed during the sales process and said that their insurer, Silver Rock, would cover the costs of the repairs after I accepted the car. The driver then scratched the wheel and the rim as he was off-loading the car from the truck bed. He was backing the car out and hit the side of our driveway. He again asked me to accept the car and assured me that Silver Rock would cover the cost of the repairs. He took pictures of the damages and made sure everything was documented.

    I submitted a claim to Silver Rock the next day, with photos of the damages. They replied with a preferred shop and asked me to take my car in to get a quote, which I did. The quote to fix all 3 things was $3,346 but Silver Rock only agreed to cover $1,427 saying that the damages to the wheel and the rim were a part of the normal wear and tear process for used cars.

    I explained the issue to them and told them that the driver had caused the damage to the wheel, showing them the text message he sent me when the damage was caused and pointing to the photos he took during the delivery process. They still declined it and said that I would have to either contact Carvana or pay for the repairs out of pocket. Carvana is also refusing to accept liability to cover the cost so I'm stuck having to pay another $2,000 on top of the $43,000 purchase price for this vehicle. I will never be purchasing another vehicle from Carvana as a result of this issue and would strongly discourage anyone else from doing so as well. Their delivery and customer services processes is one of the worst I have ever experienced.

    Let me start by saying I like the vehicle. I did my due diligence and research to ensure that this was the right car for me. However, it was clear Carvana did not. There were several issues with the car. The car was FILTHY upon pickup, both inside and out.     As a repeat Carvana customer I was expecting the same great experience I had the first time. Wow, was I disappointed. My car arrived on time and the delivery driver Nicole was wonderful. Not long after she left we went out for the evening, leaving the 2024 Tucson in the driveway. Upon our return there was a large puddle of oil in my driveway.

    The next morning I called Carvana and Shante (sp?) and after explaining the situation I was told that the oil stain in my driveway was my problem and any repairs not covered by Silverrock were also my problem (they totaled a little over $100). I then asked if there was something Carvana could offer as a sign of good faith (on my last purchase I received semi custom rubber floor mats) and was again told that there was nothing that Carvana would be doing for me.

    I feel that this is a gross lack of customer care and after having recommended your company very highly based on my first experience (I know of 5 transactions that were a direct result of my recommendation). They say, "Now you have to go to the state DMV and transfer registration by yourself (I still have 2 number plate. I dont' know what to do. If you go to state dmv its take more than 3 hours.)." Whatever charges we will pay WHICH THEY NOT GONNA PAY ME BACK. Overall very BAD experience.

    I did call them thousand time and explain everything every time. Sometimes they hang up the phone. Sometimes they don't give you proper answers on chat either, I would like to pay dealership charge but I would NOT SUGGEST anybody to go with CARVANA. Its' A BIG SCAM, car has top many scratch on it but I PUT FEW PHOTOS which I required at least to done cosmetic work but they declined after paperwork not before. Be careful guys.

    I've purchased many cars and have always gone to dealerships. I normally purchase higher end luxury vehicles so I've never worried about needing to check things like if brakes need replaced since most reputable dealerships do all of this before selling you a high end car. I decided to give Carvana a shot since they had the car I was looking for (S Class Coupe) in the color and interior I wanted which is hard to find. The car drove fine until I realized just a week later there is squealing when I brake. The Mercedes dealership said the car had about 10% left on brakes and they also found an illegal police laser jammer system hardwired in the car.

    How is Carvana's 150 point inspection missing a hardwired illegal laser jammer system that I would now have to go to a specialist to uninstall and also 10% brake life left? This has cost me $1,000s extra that Carvana does not reimburse for. If you plan on purchasing from Carvana be prepared to have an independent inspection immediately upon arrival of the car or you could end up with a car like mine that now is costing me time and $1,000s extra.

    I was very happy with the initial process of shopping for a car online and I liked the platform. The issue I had was when my car was dropped off the advocate did not do her job and walk me through all items with the car. She also was late and said she would be there much earlier than when she arrived, which makes me wonder if the issue happened on the road and she's not disclosing what actually happened.

    We were excited when the car arrived and she quickly left, instead of walking through and inspecting the vehicle with me.     Horrific. What should be a fun experience has been a nightmare. Purchased a car, told all paperwork necessary for financing was received, accepted, contracts being completed. Followed-up as I heard nothing from Carvana, and then was told the car couldn't be found, order had been cancelled, confirmed that I hadn't requested the cancellation. No one at Carvana has an answer as to why this happened, where the car is, there are no supervisors that I could speak to, told numerous times that ticket re this incident had been generated, a supervisor would call back, and no one has called.

    All representatives I spoke with - Joey, Nicholas, Leon, Viviana continues to make intentional false claims. Then last representative, Leon, lied in the file notes claiming that he had called 2x and the call went straight to voicemail. Confirmed with my cell carrier that no such incoming call occurred.     I purchased, and kept, a 2019 BMW 530e. Overall, my experience was positive. I took the car to a BMW dealer for an inspection after purchase and its condition was judged to be, on the whole, consistent with Carvana's inspection. The delivery process was mostly positive. The vehicle was delivered outside the window that I had selected, which was inconvenient with kid/school schedules, etc. That said, the gentleman who delivered it was great. He was friendly, he knew what he was doing, but was also able to make things a little more casual. It is a little intimidating ordering a car online, but he helped it feel a little less like a monumental purchase (or mistake). I appreciated the 7-day period; it was a big reason that I was comfortable going through with the purchase. Since I kept the car, I have no feedback on the return process, of course. The area that I am the most critical is that of the warranty/condition process that is available to new purchasers.

    I put in two repair request/vehicle notifications. Both issues stemmed from things that were not noted in the imperfections. The nature of many of the listed imperfections (in this case there was just one) leads one to believe that similar small damage does not exist. Instead, I had a cut/tear in my back seat that was only going to enlarge over time. Whoever decides warranty issues determined that it was reasonable wear & tear. It was a $500 fix (the BMW dealer quoted >$1000, so at least I avoided that). It should have been noted. And it is, of course, frustrating that my only other recourse was to return the vehicle. At that point of the process, it is hard to do so. The car itself has been great, the online/Carvana dashboard aspects were well organized and useful.

    If I could give 0 stars I would. The experience was terrible from the beginning and should’ve been a clue. I was contacted on a Wednesday after attempting to purchase a vehicle that I had to meet requirements or my sale would be delayed or possibly canceled. The vehicle was supposed to be ready on that Friday but after the purchase was completed I was told that it would be delayed until the following Monday. Once the vehicle was picked up, within 15 minutes the dashboard lit up. It was taken to the dealership where they stated the computer had to be replaced. Upon further inspection the vehicle also had an oil leak.

    We initiated a trade for a different vehicle where we were told that we would have to pay another close to $1,000 to have a different car shipped. At that point, we simply decided to return the vehicle. That’s when the true headache began. We initiated the return and were told that it would be almost a week before they could come and get it. In the meantime they were going to hold onto all the money we had spent. So no usable car and no money to go buy a different one. Great spot to be in.

    The following Thursday rolls around and I take a lunch break to drive an hour to meet the driver. Only for him to tell me that he can’t pick up the vehicle because he doesn’t have the check to give us for the balance from our trade in. Granted it was confirmed numerous times that he would have the check. They then move the pick up date to Saturday. That day comes along and about 4pm no one has shown up or called. We call Carvana only to be told that no one is coming and they had rescheduled the pick up date but didn’t have the courtesy to let us know. My wife had stayed at home all day to meet someone yet no respect for her time. Had we not called they wouldn’t have notified us of anything.

    Monday rolls around and we call that morning to confirm that not only is someone actually coming to pick it up but that they will also have the check. Monday afternoon, the driver calls to tell me he is on the way. I ask if he has the check to which he replies, "I don’t see anything about a check." He then scrolls through the notes which there are tons of and says, "I do see that. Let me go get that." Finally he lets me know he is on the way with the check. He picks up the vehicle that Monday afternoon. Granted at this point Carvana still has more than 2/3 of the money I spent. Over $20k mind you.

    3 days later on Thursday my wife calls to see about our refund only to be told that they are going to start the refund process at that time. Mind blowing that they pick up a car and don’t immediately start a refund. You have to contact them to start it. Finally after approximately 2 1/2 weeks of nonsense, they have picked up the car and I have my refund. Completely unacceptable from a service standpoint. Unethical to leave someone without a car and to keep their money. Not to mention every time we called which was too many to count no one seemed to really solve the problem. I would actively discourage anyone from ever using this company.

    The process is clearly designed for consumers who want to either finance through Carvana or pay cash. The process is made more difficult for consumers who wish to finance through a third party. It's unfair and maybe even tying. You guys are going to get in trouble for this. Look at the very first entry point. The icons for financing through Carvana or paying cash are big and bright. The third-party financing option is in sentence case. I thought it was a subcategory under the cash option, so I was goofed up right out of the gate. At every turn, there was a problem because your system discriminates against consumers using third-party financing. That said, I love the car.     I was pre-approved thru Carvana with a $790.00 down payment. I paid that exactly 2 weeks ago today. I submitted all requested documents except for proof of insurance which I was going to purchase the following day however NC was hit by Hurricane Helena. We had no power, no cell service or anything. When I was able to get cell phone service there was an email informing me that I had missed a deadline and the vehicle was no longer available. I was heartbroken. Keep in mind that I'm currently working with FEMA due to damages to my home. I spoke to an advocate on Monday 9-30 and she found me a different vehicle but failed to mention it had an additional shipping fee of $690 and was coming out of Florida.

    I only found that information out AFTER my pick-up date was delayed TWICE! I have full coverage insurance in place right now for a vehicle I never received! I called this past Monday 10-7 for a FULL REFUND and was told to expect it between Wednesday and Friday. I called yesterday to confirm my refund and an advocate convinced me into yet the 3rd vehicle from them but this time when all my paperwork went through they are now asking for a down payment of HALF the purchase price! NOTHING CHANGED so I don't understand the problem. I want an immediate refund of my ENTIRE down payment of $790. I can not believe this company is taking advantage of customers during a NATURAL DISASTER!

Not only have they failed to issue a full refund as of 10/9, they initially threatened to keep the $990 shipping fee on a tentative 10/15 ship date, for an order they failed to process. I was told by 2 customer service associates that they received authorization on refunding the full amount, due to their error. Now it’s complete silence from Carvana.     I wish I could give this company zero stars. I was so excited to choose this way of purchasing a vehicle and trading mine in. However, before I could complete the purchase, I was informed of an issue on my title to the car I was trading in, which resulted in not being able to complete the documentation required by the Carvana set deadline. I spoke with someone on the phone, and someone in a chat, who told me that holding the car was not an option, and if I wasn’t going to receive my new title within the next few hours, I would need to cancel my order. The woman on the phone confirmed that both my down payment and the shipping fee of $990 would be refunded if I canceled. So seeing as how I had not other options, and I would not be out any money, I cancelled.

    I had not received any refund over a week later, and chatted with another employee to inquire about the refunds. They said the refund request was never even sent in. So they filed the request, and told me the refunds would be in my account 10-15 business days later. While this is a ridiculous amount of time to wait, I was satisfied that I would at least get the money back. This person also confirmed both the down payment and shipping fee would be refunded. I received confirmation email of the down payment refund, but not the shipping fee refund. I again chatted with someone and asked why I hadn’t received that confirmation of the $990 refund. They said they weren’t sure, but that it was requested and should be in my account soon. Over a week later and it was still not in my account. So I reached out again.

    This time I was told that I would not be receiving a refund as my transaction wasn’t cancelled within 24 hours (which was not what the other employee told me). I told her that I had spoken with three other individuals who had confirmed it would be refunded, and she still said I was not Elinor for the refund “without a reason”… I’m sorry but three employees telling me I’d receive a refund seems like a reason to me… not to mention that the order was never even completed because I never was able to file all the paperwork before their deadline. She informed me I should have put the order on hold instead of canceling. Which I specifically asked the person on the phone if we could do that, and she said they couldn’t hold it for me. If I wasn’t able to complete the documentation required by the deadline, there was nothing she could do. The person on the chat I spoke to before her also said I would need to cancel the order.

    I’m beyond angry. If three employees are confused or directly lied, carvana needs to work out their system, and stand by what I was told. I unfortunately only have screenshots of one chat, but it does confirm that I cancelled within 24 hours, and would be refunded. DO NOT trust this company to do what they say. Especially with such a big purchase like a car that involves lots of money. I asked for a phone number to a supervisor, and was told there are no direct lines. How ridiculous. Save your time and money.

    Disclaimer: I have purchased two other vehicles from Carvana and had a great experience. I started a new purchase on 10/08/2024 and it was a complete nightmare. Horrible communication throughout the entire process, they advertise price drops on vehicles but then add that price difference back into the shipping cost.     They had the truck I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. It was a little annoying at first getting my own bank to do the financing but after that was figured out it was smooth sailing. The thing I'm annoyed about is the weathertech floor mats that were pictured with the truck were not with it and I ended up ordering a set. The mats provided with the truck were just universal junk.

    I had a really great experience with Carvana. The only issues I ran into were due to self financing. I had to jump through a lot of hoops between carvana and my loaner. This slowed the timeline down. Carvana does not list out the eternity of items needed all at once, so I kept being surprised by things I could have already given them if I had known about it earlier.

    Got the Ford Maverick Monday evening Friday, started having issues Saturday, called a tow truck to come and tow it home. Searched Google for a few possibilities of the issues. First one was to buy a new battery that didn’t fix the issues, googled more possibilities, narrowed it down to a bad cable connection which they already know about and just didn’t fix it a bad ecm which I’m 100% sure they knew about and shipped it to me anyway.

    Carvana has been a great experience, and the customer service is over the top. Only thing I would recommend for customer service is how dramatic the advocates are when you mention the issue you are having, they are overdramatic but after you get over that weird hump it's smooth sailing with them. I swapped out a Ram 2019 1500 Laramie with a 2019 Ram 1500 Limited no questions asked and they transferred my shipping fee so I only had to pay that one time. Reason for the swap was mostly because I wanted more options that I thought the Laramie came with. I recommend looking at the manufacturer window sticker document on the vehicle if available. It will be the most accurate. I financed inhouse with Carvana. They made that as easy as it gets.

    Personally I love buying cars online or at a dealership but the worst part of the experience is always in the finance office. Every time I end up arguing with the finance guy that I simply do not want their additional products, Carvana took that completely out! There's zero upselling, I actually ended up upselling myself with the limited and even opted in the extended warranty. I have never bought additional coverage before! But carvana changed my mind by giving me the freedom of choice. Carvana is America! There I said it.

    Purchased a Subaru Outback with the VIN number **. I took it for an inspection at my Subaru dealership and found out it had no brakes and dry rotted tires with one that was bald barely legal. This was on a Friday Saturday and needed the vehicle to get fixed due to safety concern. I contacted Carvana about this issue. They told me to get with Silver Rock. I submitted all documents to include dealership diagnostic findings. I’m just waiting on a refund for the safety repairs. Please make this right. You shouldn’t be selling cars with dry rotted tires, that are nearly bald and bad brakes unless you’re trying to harm people.

    This is now my third purchase with Carvana. The first was purchased at the height of COVID in 2020 and despite being mid-pandemic, it was an easy and outstanding experience from ordering, to financing, and finally delivery. The second and third - not so much and continued to decline. My 2019 Honda Civic purchase in September of 2022 was smooth until delivery. Delivery was delayed multiple times over roughly three weeks with little to no explanation or communication from an actual Carvana human representative. The delivery driver was fantastic in his service and shared with me that there were big changes within the company and some of those changes caused conflict and issues with the shipping partners which resulted in the delays. These things can be forgiven much easier with respect to the customer experience when the company is proactive and transparent.

    My most recent purchase is in final stages as I am one day outside of my initial seven day trial period, but the vehicle I have purchased is not the one initially ordered. Within four hours of the scheduled delivery time, I was sent texts and emails rescheduling delivery to two days later. Shortly after rescheduling, I was flooded by automated texts. Everything from my delivery was delayed again, rescheduled for three weeks out, then my order being canceled altogether. Before I could even read process all of the information a representative called to tell me the order was canceled and helped me to find another vehicle. Though she was kind and helpful, she had minimal information as to why the sale could not continue. Her tone was emphatic and attempted assurances were genuine. However, more consideration needs to be given to how this yo-yo experience impacts customers and the hardship it causes financially and emotionally.

    In this type of situation, any explanation containing “well it says in the contract that…” is insufficient to properly prepare customers for delays and manage expectations. Though there was no way for her or anyone else to know I was purchasing a vehicle following a collision resulting in injury and total loss, this type of systemic failure on the part of the inspection and delivery process caused me further financial loss and stress that cannot not be solved or restored by refunding a non-refundable shipping costs and a Lyft ride to the local pick up location 5-7 days later. Please consider how keeping vial process information hidden in small print or not clearly defined and excessive automated communication can reduce the likelihood of repeat business and diminishes the customer experience.

    One could decide to turn to the old fashioned approach of “it’s the customer’s responsibility to read and understand all terms and conditions” when it comes to receiving this type of feedback. I would consider caution in doing so if I was the QA Manager charged with maintaining customer service scores and innovating the customer experience. I would also consider how changes in the market has made online car buying more accessible to a larger audience across varying economic groups so that we become and continue to be the online car buyer’s first choice. Sadly, I cannot say in this moment if Carvana will still be my first choice for my next car purchase. I love my new Honda Accord and plan to have it for some time, so I suppose that will remain to be seen. On a final note, short of pulling out my contract and after digging through texts and emails I would have included my order number if I was able to locate it easily in any email, text, or in the app. Perhaps VIN: ** will be helpful in its place.     The car was exactly as pictured. Maybe better! The order process was pretty easy. Using my own financing was a bit tricky. Don’t make the link to do so so dang small. That just means confusion not more you-finances! But the customer service people were great in getting us straight. And the delivery person was the best! Love my new car!!!

    Buying on Carvana was easy and convenient. All transactions and paperwork done online. I’ve had the vehicle for a day. When car was delivered there were many cosmetic issues that were not in the description on the Carvana website. Vehicle was delivered filthy. Delivery driver stated that car was only wiped down. After drop off took for a test drive and vehicle had a strong odor of pet urine. Took all rugs out and trunk lid. Trunk lid and spare tire under had old slimy urine cake up. Contacted Carvana and was offered $100. Car needs a full detail and deep clean. I’ve decided to try and clean up this mess but may end up just returning the vehicle before the 7 day period.
