I purchased a 2022 Chevy Silverado. It arrived yesterday 5/7/26. No only did it arrive filthy, like the person who detailed it had no idea how to use wax or a rag but I drove it for the first time today, went less than 10 miles TO ADVANCED AUTO TO PURCHASE NEW CLEANING MATERIALS TO DETAIL THE THING and several dash lights came on. One being the Service Tire Monitor system. I tried to scroll with the DIC button on the steering wheel to see which tire need attention as they all seemed fine; THE DIC DIDN'T WORK, SO NEEDLESS TO SAY I COULDN'T SEE WHAT ANY OF THE ISSUES WERE!!!
I called Carvana which got me in contact with silver rock who their warranty is through. They gave me 2 locations near me to get it serviced. I called them both and was told by both that this is an issue that would need to go to the dealership and is not covered under warranty. They both also said Carvana does not service or maintenance their vehicles before selling them. When I called to return the vehicle they did absolutely nothing to try and solve the problem, just said, "ok we will be there Monday to Pick it up" First of all, no one should ever have to take their vehicle to be serviced when having it less than 24 hours especially when you are paying almost $40k for the ** thing!!! Unacceptable!!!! Do. Not. Purchase. From. Carvana!!!!

The initial process was excellent and straightforward. I was excited about the arrival of my new car. Once it arrived and as I was filling out paperwork with the driver, I noticed some rust on the suspension strut. This worried me right away and I couldn’t wait to have it unload it so I could review the bottom of the car entirely. Once the driver left, I drove the car into my driveway and thoroughly reviewed the bottom of the car. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. The bottom was extremely rusted. There were some brackets so corroded that I’m certain these would break anytime soon. This car shouldn’t have been sold as is. What’s more disappointing I paid the 1,990 shipping fee. Carvana should post pictures of all cars under carriage so the buyer knows what exactly they are getting.

Wow! This was an amazing experience. I can't find 1 negative thing to complain about. This to me is the new standard. Everything was beyond expectations. From the delivery to extra drive time to decide. I can absolutely say that all the boxes were checked.

It is so crazy how easy and simple Carvana makes things. I will never step foot into another car dealership again. The man who delivered my vehicle was so kind and my experience was fast and easy from the very beginning. Thank you so much for the amazing experience!

I'll start with this. Purchasing, financing, delivery and customer service was exceptional. However the cars themselves were a different story. 1st car 2015 Ford Escape Titanium $16,000 with $10,000 down payment. It needed $10,000 in repairs and was blue book valued at $6,700. It was exchanged by Carvana for a 2016 Ford Escape Titanium at 17,000. Same down payment. It also needed repairs of a little over 8,000. Returned for a full refund. After all the headache and paying to have them checked out, Carvana kept $1,000 of my down payment. Use caution ⚠️ in purchasing from them.

I'm never the one to leave reviews but I will never recommend Carvana to anyone after this. I traded my old vehicle, a 2012 Chevy Silverado, for a 2019 Nissan Rogue. I had the car for 2 days before the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and the car started shutting off while on US-1. This company couldn't even give me the decency of returning my old trade in and instead forced me to either buy a new trade in, with no additional discounts or even empathy given, or receive a refund of the old car's payment value and be without a vehicle. Facebook Marketplace sells better vehicles than this corporation, and if you can stay away from it.

Absolutely awful experience, disappointed and disgusted in this company. Purchased a Tacoma, they received our payment from our bank on April 3rd, was set to be delivered by April 8th. They called, said the truck "wouldn't start." New delivery date of April 10th, but never heard back from them in regards to what was wrong with the truck. At this point we're very suspicious and concerned obviously that "the truck wouldn't start" and no further information. Is it the battery? Starter? No contact with us. Truck has almost 90k miles. We both agree and have an uneasy feeling in regards to the vehicle we purchased that currently "won't start." All communication from Carvana also disappears at this point, which seems to be their specialty after they steal your money.
We cancel the truck the morning of April 13th. Now, according to carvana's website, refunds take 10-15 business days. Does not state it takes longer if you use a 3rd party, aka your own bank, to finance. They've had our payment/check since April 3rd. We patiently wait our 10-15 business days to be refunded so we can begin the car buying process again, which at this point feels like forever. After 2.5 weeks, we start attempting to contact carvana to inquire about any sort of time line or update, if the check has been sent, etc. ANY sort of information. We get nothing. Absolutely nothing other than apologies, "We are working on it, we've submitted a ticket, this has been upgraded to our treasury department," excuses, etc. No one will tell us ANY information.
By business day 15, we are beyond frustrated and continue to get zero responses or information on what has happened to our money. Now at a month of them having our money, we've spent countless hours on the phone. Endless correspondences with their pointless advocate chats, being repeatedly told the same thing, which is absolutely nothing. No one seems to know where our money has disappeared to. By the 17th business day, my husband calls our bank to see if they can assist us in any way. The bank manager calls and finally discovers that the truck we purchased has already been resold. And they still have our money. So, that seems...unethical? Illegal? Just plain sleazy. Our bank get their lawyers involved, again countless hours on the phone trying to deal with carvana. All we want is our money back so we can move on.
We've been lied to repeatedly, given apologies and excuses, at no point were we given any information as to why OUR money wasn't being returned to us. It was absolutely crazy and extremely stressful, so many wasted hours spent talking to people that couldn't/wouldn't help us get our money returned. After our bank had their lawyers call, carvana magically issues our check back on May 5th. By this point over a month of them having/keeping it and us accruing over $170 in interest. Horrible experience to say the least. Their communication is endless during the car buying experience when they are taking your money. Constant phone calls and emails. Then, when it comes to refunding or returning your money, crickets. No responses or endless lies from this company. Sad and disappointing. I hope this review can save someone else from having to go through a similar situation.

I paid non refundable shipping on a car that arrived a few days later and was broken. The customer service reps I called twice were not helpful in my return since I wanted my shipping charge refunded. The customer advocate that called me did help get my shipping fees refunded. However my registration was tied to the car (from my trade in) and no one could get me my registration documents and told me I had to go to the DMV. All in all poor score for convenience on a car that cost too much to be completely honest. And poor customer service until my customer advocate phone call. Overall they wasted my time and resources to get a new car.

I had a horrible experience with Carvana. The process started off smooth, but the delays and lack of communication became very frustrating. Registration and paperwork took much longer than expected, and getting updates was difficult. Customer service did not give clear answers, and the overall experience caused a lot of stress. I expected a much more professional and organized process. Unfortunately, I would not recommend them based on my experience.

They sold me a lemon in 2020 and it is the biggest pos. Problem after problem. All happened after the 30 day warranty window expired because the car was stuck at a Ford dealership for 1 month about 7 days after purchase. Then about 3 months later, $3k more in repairs. And repeat for the last 6 years. Worst mistake.

I cannot express how happy I am with my purchase from Carvana. I haven’t shut up about it since they dropped it off! The entire process was EXTREMELY simple. It was also super quick and seamless throughout the delivery part too. I really am so happy with my car and how easy this was. I had been struggling for months trying to deal with dealership sales people and was becoming really defeated with my car buying experience.. It should be an exciting thing, but it wasn’t. At least not until I found my car! I have recommended carvana to all of my friends and will absolutely never buy from a dealership again. Thank you carvana for making the process of buying my first car, exciting! I couldn’t be happier.

I recently sold my car to Carvana at the Spring, Texas location, and the experience was impressive from start to finish. I’m a firm believer in giving credit where it’s due—especially when a company nails the "user experience."
The Process & Communication. Getting a fair offer online was incredibly fast. Once I accepted, the communication was top-tier; I received consistent, helpful updates via email and text that kept the momentum going right up until my appointment. Even the post-sale follow-up has been appropriate and professional.
The Vending Machine Experience. I chose the Spring vending machine location for the hand-off, and I’m glad I did. Watching the machine in action is genuinely cool—it’s a sophisticated piece of tech that turns a mundane chore into an event. The facility was spotless and the staff was prepared and professional, making the actual hand-off remarkably smooth.
Addressing the Negative Reviews. Before my appointment, I did some due diligence and read through the negative feedback online. I noticed a recurring theme: many of the complaints were "nit-pick" issues that most traditional dealerships would simply ignore. I also noticed that many of these negative reviewers seemed to have fake names or a history of *only* posting negative content.
Despite those reviews, Carvana seemed to reply to every single one offering to make things right. My actual experience was the complete opposite of the "internet noise." The digital workflow was intuitive, the staff was knowledgeable, and the transaction was handled with a level of efficiency you rarely see in the automotive industry.
The Bottom Line: If you value your time and want a hassle-free, modern way to sell a vehicle, Carvana has this down to a science. I’d recommend the Spring location to anyone looking for a stress-free experience.

From the no-pressure approach online, to securing financing with literally two clicks, the selection and purchase process was extremely easy. With exactly what I wanted in Florida, the option to ship for a very reasonable price with exact arrival timeline made for a very positive experience. Once it arrived, the associate at the Nashville location helped make a couple of things right, and immediately: replacing the missing charger with a new-in-box unit, and getting the rear tire aired up.
Once I left, that low tire came back so I had Tesla look at it. They discovered a nail and offered to make the repair. I approved so that I could get back on the road, and when I called Carvana they took the info and offered to mail me a check for the repair. I mean, seriously, it cannot get any easier to have the confidence in what you're buying with a 7-day guarantee, support if anything goes wrong, and getting a free pass from sitting around a "finance manager" office for 3 hours signing 3-foot long forms :) You guys really have it figured out, and I am very happy with my experience.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. I will never purchase a car from Carvana. I told everyone at my job and family how this company has lied, manipulated and disappointed me. Never get a Tesla from here. They don’t know how to properly list vehicles. An AWD long RANGE might just be a RWD. It’s a tactic. They give you a timer on vehicles even if the particular vehicle you want isn’t available. Making you choose a car you don’t really want. The 150 point inspection is done by children. Nothing is inspected. Now you’ll be stuck paying hundreds of dollars for a car you don’t want that you have to take to a dealership to be fixed. This is honestly the worst experience with buying a car I’ve ever had. Returned two cars because they disappointed me.

First time purchasing with Carvana. I found it to be very easy and quick while the website and app were having some minor issues. The vehicle showed up on time and the driver and his trainee were very friendly and helpful with my trade in. There was a technical issue with their app saying that I was supposed to have a check for them but they worked diligently to get it resolved. It took about an hour to resolve. Once the vehicle was unloaded I took it for a test drive. I noticed that there was a strong cigarette smell in the vehicle despite their being an air freshener in each cup holder and door and under each seat a total of 10 air fresheners trying to mask the smell. This was not disclosed on the website anywhere.
The vehicle looked mostly clean but upon further inspection there was a lot of work left to do to get all the ash and dust out of all the crevices it took me several hours. As far as the truck goes it’s in great condition mechanically so far and I purchased the extended warranty and hopefully will not have to use it. I would use Carvana again but probably wouldn’t have a vehicle shipped due to it costing almost $1900 (non-refundable).

The buying experience was super easy and drop off was seamless. The only reason for the rating is two things. 1. Two tires needed to be immediately replaced. 2. They did not warn or consider that the level of tint and local laws. Instead of only feeling the happiness I immediately had to spend 1200 just to get the car inspected.

Check engine light came on after driving for 7 miles. Took it to one of Carvana’s contracted mechanics. The car has been in the shop for over a week. Mechanic has done a poor job about keeping communication lines open with me so I have to keep calling them. I never approved the repair (I would have just returned the car) but the mechanic took the car apart because Silverrock approved the payment of the repair. Silver rock doesn’t own the car - the mechanic should have verified with the owner that they wanted the repair done (I’ve never had a mechanic disassemble my cars without my consent before). All Silverrock does is decide where the mechanics paycheck would come from - them or me. But I’m guessing that’s why the mechanic started the repair with my knowledge or consent - to guarantee himself a paycheck. Just filling this review hasn’t even been user friendly. Definitely would not recommend Carvana to anyone.

Overall, I had a good experience. It was fun to see my vehicle lowered from the up toward the top of the "vending machine". I was disappointed that the vehicle was not detailed or even washed like most places. It was still fairly clean, but not what is expected when purchasing a vehicle.

The online purchasing, delivery, and trade in experience was great and smooth sailing. The only aspect I was disappointed in was how damages/imperfections on the vehicle were shared. While the 360 view was available and there is a statement about not every minor imperfection being pictured individually, it feels slightly off to show some of the very minor things but a relatively significant chunk of the very rear window edge was missing (rock damage possibly?). While it is completely cosmetic, I wouldn't consider it minor. Everything else about the experience was great, and I would do it again. But that one small aspect does make me have a thought in the back of my mind that it's possible a bigger issue may be hidden as well at some point.

The online experience and overall experience was wonderful but the pick up location/dealership was terrible. Despite having confirmed all documents days prior to our appointment, we arrived at our scheduled appointment and had to wait an hour and a half to get our car. We also did not actually get the experience it coming down the tower despite me communicating that it was important to us. They told us they were cleaning the car while we were there and when they did put it in the tower, they put it on the very bottom. The lobby had a corn-hole game but it couldn't be played because one of the bags had bust open and no staff had cared to clean it up. This gave it a dirty look and seemed silly that no one stopped for 5 mins to vacuum up the beads for safety. Also, the locked staff area door shouldn't be propped open. The entire time we were there, the staff only area that requires a keycard was propped open with people walking in and out. This is unsafe.
This car was a birthday gift for my husband and my children were so excited to see the car come out of the "vending machine" so watching them have to rush to poorly clean the car and have us wait 1.5 hours to do so is just disappointing. The rep on the phone who helped verify my documents as well as the shop that helped with the warranty claim was amazing. They were courteous and caring. As someone who literally owns a concierge company that specializes in customer service, the experience at the shop was disappointing.

The buying process was overall pretty good. I would say that having to get insurance within less than 24 hours of the order seemed a bit much and forced me to go with an option I may not have chosen otherwise. I will say that the extensions on the loan going forward (the bank was holding it up doing their paperwork) was much appreciated. Vehicle delivery was great. Done in about 20 minutes. The woman who delivered it was very nice and answered all the questions I had. I was able to find some damage and issues that weren't included in the photos. The tailgate has a dent in it with paint missing. There are also some decent scratches on the tailgate.
Additionally the top of the passenger side door jamb and going all across the top of the interior of the door where the weather strip meets the body was clearly repaired at one point. The repair was never completely finished and you could see bare metal. I found this out after ordering running boards and taking them to the shop my dad runs to use the lift to put them on. He was able to prime/paint it, but unfortunately it isn't the exact factory paint.
Also I would seriously suggest getting pictures of the underbody. Especially for trucks. Living in the north east US all the truck frames in this area are rusted out junk. While on the aforementioned lift it was nice to see the frame and most of the underbody are in fantastic shape. Strangely the exhaust is almost rusted out and will require replacement soon. All in all most things were very good. I would suggest getting the underbody pictures and being more detailed with the damage photos. I try not to be nit picky about things and will keep the vehicle. I enjoy the truck, but it would have been nice to have better details.

Upon pickup I noticed that the passenger rear quarter panel has been rubbed against something. It scratched the paint and the plastic molding. My advocate nor did anyone tell me about the damage to the vehicle. I went back inside and showed them the damage. It was chopped up to a transport issues. My advocate took pictures and gave me a number to call. I paid 1900 in transport fees. The vehicle started out in Oregon and then was delayed in Arkansas. I got multiple emails about the location of my vehicle but at no time did I get one saying it was damaged.
I also noticed once I got to my home that the front driver side also had rub marks on it. It blended in better which is why I missed it during pick up. So delays to my delivery and damage to the vehicle, no offer to return some of the transport fee, no real help other than here is a number to call. I am really not happy at this point. It may be hassle free, but that doesn't mean no customer service. Yes I have the option to return the vehicle with in seven days. The trade in process was good and I believe I received a fair value. The failures of the transaction were associated with the car I acquired. The 1st day I got home the battery failed. I jump started the car and took it to my local Chevy dealer. It needed a new battery. Additionally, the tires were extremely out of balance as well. Total cost to me $406.89. Since the dealer installed the battery and balanced the tires there was no help form Carvana. Don't expect a serious inspection from Carvana. Importantly, the car was advertised as having 2 key fobs. Only one fob was delivered with no explanation. This will cost a$200 - $300 more to remedy. Interestingly, I turned in 2 fobs with my trade in. It's now advertised as having only one. The repeated mishandling of key fobs, which are expensive, appears odd and I believe Carvana should look into that.

I would not recommend the experience to a friend. First, there was a lack of clarity in communication when arranging financing- Carvana asked if I was pre-approved with my lender. I had filled out a form online with my credit union which said I was pre-approved up to a certain amount. With no further detail from Carvana about what "pre-approved" meant, this seemed sufficient. However, once the process started, it became clear Carvana was expecting much more concrete plans from my credit union, which I had to scramble to satisfy at short notice. Then, as this progressed, Carvana claims details will take days to verify, while notifying me that I have hours to complete the process otherwise the purchase will be cancelled.
Once I had the car, I was disappointed to find that it smelled rather strongly of cigarette smoke. Had I gone to a traditional dealer, I never would have started the process based on that. I considered cancelling the deal- however, I like the car itself- it was the car I wanted, and by the time I received it, Carvana had nothing comparable to it, so if I had backed out, I would be back to square one. I paid $25 for a new cabin air filter, then about $40 for a "Bio-Bomb" which has mostly reduced the smoke smell, although replacing it with a swimming pool smell... hopefully that will dissipate with time.
Further, I'm already having warranty work done, the charging door gets stuck which is apparently a common problem for this model. The previous owner knew about this problem, there are marks from someone attempting to pry the door open. Also, the wireless phone charging bay appears to have been what the previous owner used as an ashtray- it has been cleaned up so it's not obvious, but the charger does not seem to be operational. That will not be covered by warranty since it would be considered damage- it's not a dealbreaker, but it's not good. Lastly, when I did talk to real people, it was obvious they are not allowed to deviate from a script- nobody is fooled. No matter how syrupy sweet the words are, I do not feel the love.

Best car buying experience of my life, and I've purchased many over my 60 years. Everything was smooth and seamless, the most difficult aspect being choosing a car from the myriad of options. The efficiency of Carvana was highlighted as I actually utilized the 7-day exchange program. The first car was not to my liking (performance-wise only), so I selected a more suitable model that arrived in near showroom condition with a barely broken in 40k miles on odometer. I also used their very reasonable financing and purchased the extended warranty plan.

Upon driving the vehicle off the lot we immediately noticed two cracks in the windshield, one directly in my wife's line of sight while driving, the other on the passenger side. I called up the woman who sold me the vehicle and even though it was less than five minutes since we left, she stated since we drove it off the lot and none of us immediately noticed there's nothing she could do and I had to call SilverRock, which by the time we did they were closed until Monday. When I did call them they stated I needed to go through Carvana as it was within my first seven days which caused me to lose two days talking with anyone.
The woman I talked with at Carvana on Monday was actually fantastic and helped try to push through everything for me, but SilverRock ultimately denied the claim stating it wasn't in the driver's view even though one of them is. So now I'm going to have to spend my own money to have these filled when I paid cash for this vehicle already. This is an incredibly poor experience and a lack of anyone trying to help a customer out when selling a new vehicle.
On Tuesday when it started to rain out here, we seen that the wipers were in poor condition and have to have them immediately replaced or we wouldn't be able to drive. That cost us 65 dollars, yet again another expense that should have been handled before the minivan was even sold. It's also the day I noted that the minivan's second key was pin locked preventing it from reaching over a specific mph as well as radio volume. I then called up to get a reimbursement for the windshield wipers and to talk about getting the pinlock on the car removed as this should have yet again been done before selling it.
I called up yet again to get these two issues rectified. The gentlemen I talked with said he put in a reimbursement request for the wipers (which he did not) and tried just having me put in a ticket for a locksmith which I told him was not the problem with the key. He then said we will call SilverRock together on the phone, when we did they were closed and he said there was nothing more he could do for me.
I then called up the next day and talked with someone who was quite nice and actually took care of the reimbursement as requested for the windshield wipers, but because the second key wasn't listed she said she didn't think anything could be done about the pin. I went to the dealership and they stated it would be 500 dollars to fix and I was informed it wouldn't be covered because it wasn't stated there were two keys even though the pictures within Carvana shown both keys being present.
Overall, this experience has soured my want to buy from Carvana again if they can't even live by their own standards they put in place to take care of a vehicle they sell. All three of my problems should have been able to be handled before the vehicle was even given to me. It shouldn't take me driving it find these. I'm not a mechanic but I was able to find all these problems within the first three days of driving, what are the mechanics even checking when these vehicles come in.
After my current experience I personally don't think I would recommend anyone purchasing from Carvana unless they change how they actually take care of the customer as well as ensure the common usage devices are handled within the vehicles such as keys, windshield wipers, etc. It's mindboggling as well that an employee who I was just working with was unwilling to handle or mark the damages to the windshield she just sold me the vehicle. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Imagine you go to a car dealership. You find a car you like. The dealer makes you an offer on your trade. Everything looks good and you proceed with the paperwork 15 minutes later. At this point you look up your actual loan payoff on your existing vehicle. You update that information and the dealer says, "oh, you owe $1,00 less than you thought. In that case we are reducing your trade value by $600 dollars".
That was my Carvana experience. Found a vehicle, got an offer on my trade of $23,600 supposedly good for 7 days. 15 minutes later I initiated the purchase process I looked up my actual loan payoff, entered it in and BOOM, they reduced the guaranteed 7 day offer by $600. I didn't hear the loud clunking noise on my initial test drive around the block, but after the car was released to me, a persistent clunking sound started within 5 minutes of my drive. Found a car. It was listed as "pick up in Plainfield, IN tomorrow." We needed it then. It was important. Filled out all of the paperwork, arranged wire transfer and at the final step - "Select your pickup appointment" it was 6 days out! I called Customer Service and was told there was probably just one appointment left and it got taken before I finished. (This was not true as I found out later). I escalated to higher in the customer service help line and spoke with someone who assured me they would try to reach the Plainfield pick up spot and see what could be done. I was promised either a call back or an email that evening. Neither of these happened. I canceled the order. 2 days later, saw the same car, available for pick up in Plainfield, IN - Tomorrow (2 days before the first available appointment I was given in trying to purchase this very same vehicle).
We ended up going to a dealership out of state and arranging for a car to be delivered from them and it was MUCH LESS PAINFUL and they DID WHAT THEY PROMISED. I will never, ever even look at a car available on Carvana again and I will tell whomever asks me about this experience. It was incredibly frustrating and disappointing and I don't appreciate being lied to and being promised follow up that does not happen.

I have never been this disappointed in a car buying experience. My husband and I were trying to purchase our THIRD car from Carvana, and it showed up with a cracked grill. We didn’t even notice it at first because the car was still on the truck. While the rep was going over the car, she pointed out a bag in the trunk that she thought was an accessory… It was actually a replacement grill. So you expected us to install that ourselves? Seriously? We immediately said we didn’t want the car, and then spent over 2 HOURS trying to get out of the deal. There was a trade-in involved - a Mercedes that we also bought from Carvana, so that was another hurdle. To make things worse, the rep marked the car as “delivered” while she was still there going over the purchase and car.
Now it’s been FIVE days, multiple calls later, and their system STILL thinks we bought the car. I’m getting messages about when my payment is due, and a call from a Carvana rep asking when he can pick up the car we never purchased because he heard we wanted to return it…This is all for a car we never accepted. How does this even happen? Carvana has definitely lost a customer. Since I haven't gotten any resolution, I thought this might help.

I purchased a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB from Carvana on March 18, 2025. Within the first year, I drove the vehicle less than 11,000 miles. On March 26, 2026, the vehicle broke down. Before that happened, Carvana directed me to one of their partnered mechanics, who inspected the car and told me everything was fine. That turned out to be completely false. When the vehicle finally failed, I took it to a certified Mercedes-Benz dealership, where a full inspection revealed nearly $16,000 worth of damage. These were not minor issues — they were serious mechanical failures that clearly existed prior to my ownership and were completely missed (or ignored) by the mechanic Carvana sent me to. Despite this, when I contacted Carvana, I was told there was nothing they could do and that the situation was my responsibility.
Let me be clear: I trusted the process. I went where they told me to go. I followed their system. And because of that, they were able to avoid accountability for selling me a vehicle with major pre-existing issues. The only reason I am not completely stuck is because SilverRock (their warranty partner) stepped in and covered part of the repairs. Without that, I would have been left with a broken car and a $16,000 bill. Carvana failed in two major ways:
1. Selling a vehicle with serious underlying issues.2. Sending me to an inadequate mechanic who failed to properly inspect the vehicle, allowing those issues to go undetected until it was too late.
If I could go back, I would never purchase a vehicle from Carvana. This experience has cost me time, money, and trust. Buyers need to understand — if something goes wrong, you may be on your own.

After driving 4 hours one way (because delivery was not available) to pick up this truck, on my way home 2 lights on the dashboard came on referring to trailer brakes and one about the collision assist.
The underneath of this truck was completely caked in mud and the interior had dirt in every crack and crevasse. Every single door handle had been scratched and looks like someone had tried to fix it with paint and it has already peeled off. The only reason I am not returning this truck back to Carvana is because mechanically it runs really well. But I do feel I was taken complete advantage of as far as what I paid for this vehicle and how misrepresented it was. Now I am out $250 for getting a detailer to clean all of the mud out of the bottom of the truck and all of the dirt out of the inside.
I'm also out $150 to replace the piece of trim that blew off in the wind. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that the vehicle is located only about half an hour from the Richmond hub, yet I was repeatedly told it could not be transferred or made available. At the same time, Carvana’s website continued to show the exact same vehicle as available for same‑day delivery with a lower down payment than what I was being charged. I have screenshots documenting these contradictions.
Even after escalation, including to the Executive Resolution Team, I was told there was nothing they could do — no exception pickup, no same‑day transfer, and no clear explanation for why a car so close to the hub couldn’t be moved. The lack of transparency and the conflicting information made the situation even more frustrating.
The staff were polite and tried to help, but the system itself is inconsistent, confusing, and ultimately unreliable. Between the delays, the cancellation, the changing financial terms, and the contradictory information on the website, this experience has been incredibly disappointing. I expected more transparency and accountability from a company that advertises convenience and simplicity.

I report was entered and approved for the bumper however the other issues were not. Now I will be without a vehicle while this is being repaired.

I regret purchasing a vehicle from this dealership and would not recommend them. The very next day after driving off the lot, the AC stopped working, which is extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a vehicle I had just purchased. What made the situation worse was the lack of transparency during the buying process. I was initially quoted a certain down payment, but when it came time to finalize the deal, the amount was significantly higher than what I was told. There was little to no clear explanation, and I felt pressured to move forward anyway.
After the issue with the AC, I reached out expecting some level of accountability or assistance, but the customer service I received was disappointing and unhelpful. As a customer, you expect honesty, clear communication, and a reliable vehicle—none of which I experienced here. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and I strongly encourage others to be cautious and ask detailed questions before purchasing from this dealership.

Carvana delivered me a $40k vehicle that they severely damaged during transport. Additionally, they did a damaging wax/buff job, leaving swirling and scratching all over the vehicle. Lastly, they replaced the tires and installed them improperly.. cracking the wheel. I was guaranteed by the advocate that these things were documented and would be taken care of. He was so sweet, I believed him and accepted the car. Right away, I began submitting the claims -- as soon as the advocate drove away, I never heard from him again. I was stuck in the throws of carvana's criminal policies.
Refusing to make things right, refusing to pay. You can only submit 3 claims total, so I maxed out right from the start-- giving them a loophole to deny the most expensive parts of the claims and never be held liable. I'm a mom, who is now completely without a vehicle, out thousands of dollars and no part of carvana will uphold a dignified response and solution. It's horrible and criminal. RUN AWAY FROM THEM.

The people who “clean the car” used something that wasn’t supposed to be used on Tesla trim and ruined the black trim around the windows just before I picked it up. The salesgirl told me it’s water stains and I stupidly took it home to find out for myself it is not.

The convenience purchase from Carvana in my opinion, I was overcharged for the EV and your interest rate is unreasonable. The tires were in a unsafe condition all below manufacturers recommended tire pressure. The Front passenger 2/32 seconds front driver's side 3/32 seconds and both rear tires at 4/32 seconds, which indicates the tires have never been rotated. That day I picked up my vehicle I also pulled out one of the most disgusting cabin air filters I've ever seen in my life and showed it to your Company Rep. It is completely obvious your so-called bumper to bumper inspection "we'll find no problems with any of your vehicles" would be my guess. Because of that I questioned your ethics and business practice. I paid to have the Gear box fluid changed, preventive maintanence.

My experience with Carvana exposed a level of negligence and disorganization that no customer should ever have to deal with. After reviewing thousands of complaints on multiple platforms, including the BBB, it’s clear that what happened to me is part of a much larger pattern of systemic failure inside this company. Carvana processed a transaction that should have never been approved, and when I tried to resolve the issue, I was met with generic responses, no real investigation, and no accountability. Every interaction felt like a script, not a company trying to fix a serious problem.
The only reason I recovered my money was because I escalated the issue outside of Carvana. If I had relied on them alone, I would have lost everything. And this happened in South Florida, where consumer protection agencies actually respond. I can only imagine what customers in other states go through when they face the same problems without support. Carvana’s customer service structure is broken, their internal communication is inconsistent, and their dispute-handling process is unreliable. The massive number of complaints across the country proves this is not an isolated issue. I hope this review helps others avoid the same experience and pushes Carvana to take real responsibility for the harm they are causing to so many people.

I had a terrible experience with Carvana and would strongly caution anyone thinking about buying from them. I purchased a 2018 Chevy Suburban on March 16, and the very next day (March 17), the car shut off while I was driving—with my kids in the car. It was a terrifying and dangerous situation. The vehicle had to be towed on March 18 to a Carvana-approved mechanic. From there, things only got worse. Their warranty company, SilverRock, initially refused to approve repairs. Then they changed their mind but only wanted to use non-OEM (cheap, aftermarket) parts instead of proper parts made for the vehicle. Carvana’s only response to all of this was extending the 7-day return window to 14 days. No real accountability, no compensation for the inconvenience, and no concern for the safety risk my family experienced.
After getting the car back, I took it to my own mechanic, who found even more issues—including bad motor mounts and about $2,500 worth of additional repairs needed just to make the car safe. SilverRock approved the claim at first, then reversed their decision, removed items from the repair list, and again pushed for cheaper parts. At that point, I had enough and returned the vehicle. This was an incredibly stressful and frustrating experience. A car shutting off with children inside is completely unacceptable, and the lack of proper support afterward made it even worse. Between the unsafe condition of the vehicle and the way everything was handled, I would not trust Carvana again. Proceed with extreme caution and definitely get any vehicle inspected immediately if you decide to take the risk.

Carvana is not what it used to be, a trustworthy online used-car dealer, where you pay a premium price for “certified” pre-owned cars. As a long-time Carvana fan, I must say I'm very disappointed with my recent experience with them. It felt to me like I’m paying a premium price for nothing. Aside from a large online selection, Carvana is becoming more and more like just a shady used-car dealer in town.
First of all, the car I picked up was listed with Free Shipping, but it turned up I had to pay a delivery fee (~$400), which was not listed in the price and fees. Sounds like a hidden fee? Oh ya, so sure. So I had to pick up the car myself to avoid the extra fee, even though it’s listed as FreeShipping, which was very misleading and a cheap marketing scheme gone wrong.
Secondly, the inspection team did a really bad job on the GR 86 I was supposed to pick up. The car had a few more damages and imperfections, including paint chips, visible repairs, and major damage on the body, which were not listed on the imperfection listing. The deal breaker for me was that there was a badly damaged driver's side skirt with a large crack of about 6 inches long. They didn't even bother to repair it before the delivery. The worst part is, after all that, Carvana still wanna charge me the “Shipping” fee for the car they couldn’t deliver.

I received the vehicle I chose on a Monday & the next day I had to take it in to have the oil changed. I called Carvana & was reassured oil change had been done plus their "150 point inspection". They "allowed" me to have the oil change for my piece of mind. On that Thursday, the exclamation point was still showing. I had a feeling something was off, so I had it inspected by a different shop. The car was inspected and I was pulled into the bay so they could show me how the oil pan had been patched together by glue. It was leaking badly so much that they recommended I not drive it because it was low. Plus, the suspension needed fixing and brake pads were "passable" however, they would need replacing soon. At that point, I asked the shop to put together everything they found wrong and file a claim with the insurance (per Carvana's instructions).
Long story short, they were "considering" the repairs while their "7 day guarantee" was almost up so I told them come get the car. Either way they either did not do the 150 point inspection and just put it on the lot as is or they did the inspection "band-aided" the car and sold it as a lemon to some unsuspecting person. By the way, the day after I turned the car back in, it was on their website again (I checked the VIN#).

Come to find out the temp plate that was given to me isn’t even registered to my car putting me at risk of fraud! I found this out because I started getting tickets in my name from the plate that was registered to my car but placed on another one in an entirely different state!!! Then I get a new plate in the mail and was told that they can only refund the transfer price not the cost of the new plate which is the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard!
Not to mention that during the purchase process we were told we only needed to have the cleared letter from the previous car and that would be good enough until the day of delivery they decided we actually needed to go get the title delaying the process. When it seems to easy plan for a headache!! None of the advocates ever have the same information either. Which is super frustrating! It would’ve been faster to go to an actual dealership at this point!
