Purchased a vehicle 8/25 from Carvana, the vehicle came with damage that was not reported during the sale. I noticed two separate gouges on the front bumper. I reported it the next day and attempted to get the bumper repaired. I was told it’s “minor” and they will not cover it even if it wasn’t reported during the sale. Carvana told me I am responsible to repair the bumper and that is a “firm decision”. Moral of the story is, make sure you look the vehicle over carefully before the driver that delivered it leaves. Because of the poor customer service, I do not recommend purchasing from Carvana unless you plan to look at the vehicle before you finalize any paperwork.

Worst car buying experience ever. After purchasing the truck, I was delayed 2 times for a total of 2weeks before I had to change the truck, order another truck. After I got the vehicle, 100 miles later, the check engine light came on while engine running rough and truck started overheating. I took the truck to a authorized dealer who after inspection, said the truck needs a major tune-up, the brakes are 3mm very close to metal on metal, the thermostat is bad. I went through the 14 day warranty and that claim took another 2 days and the shop still has my truck after 4 days. All Scamvana can offer is apologies, no compensation, nothing.

I can turn the truck back in and get another but with my experience, I will have the same problems with a different purchase from Scamvana. This online car buying model is a great idea but if you can't deliver on the actual vehicle in a timely manner without active problems, then Scamvana needs to stop selling cars and scamming people. I will absolutely not recommend this scam shack to anyone except my enemies.

Let's start with this: this experience was supposed to be better and easier than dealing with a dealership, but it hasn't been. This experience has been a real pain, to say the least. I found a vehicle to start with at the beginning of Sept 2025, and the process seemed pretty straightforward. I paid the shipping fee($1990), completed my trade-in paperwork, signed all the necessary documents, and thought everything was ready to go. Gave them a week and a half to deliver the vehicle to the pickup location. I had to travel to this delivery location, so I booked a hotel and arranged my travel plans accordingly. They emailed me two days prior, changed the delivery date, and apologized. So, I cancelled my travel plans, and they did give me $ 250 off my next purchase for my troubles, so I guess at least they did try. FYI, be prepared to hear 'sorry' a lot from Caravan.

Anyway, take the new delivery date, sign paperwork twice, and then they end up cancelling the order on me and telling me that the vehicle isn't fit for sale. So I move on and find another car, go through the process all over again, and get everything signed and done that they asked of me. Also, pay my shipping fees for this one to be delivered to my house this time. Everything is going great right up to providing morning, three hours from delivery, mind you. I'm supposed to have my new vehicle. I received an email saying, 'Get ready, we are counting down the minutes.' Then, not even 20 minutes later, I get another email saying the delivery date has been changed. I call all the numbers I can find on the interweb, and they all seem to go back to the main office, and all they can tell me is it's a tire issue.

Although the pre-inspection sheet on their website indicates they are in good condition, this has been the most frustrating car-buying experience I have had, for sure. I think I would rather deal with a dealership for a few frustrating hours and leave wth my new vehicle rather than deal with Carvana for five weeks. Again, be prepared to hear sorry a lot. I know it's not the fault of the people taking the calls, but it's frustrating that as a buyer, I can't get straightforward answers. I am a location manager for a global company, and if you can't strive for better customer service at all times, then you shouldn't be in business. I straight up told a Senior leadership member for Carvana that if this is how your business runs, I don't know how they stay in Business.

Extremely Disappointed! We spent two weeks looking on Carvana's website looking for the right car, we spent a lot of time looking at all the pictures to verify it didn’t have anything wrong that we couldn’t deal with, most things on their website were small. We found what my wife wanted, got approved, set up delivery and it was delivered this past Sunday!!

That was when the nightmare started. The delivery guy dropped it and left pretty quick. We took it for a drive and realized the center console looked completely different than the one in the picture, then I realize it was missing the brake boot, then I realized it had two large repairs in the hood that stand out, too bad it looks like a 12 year did it (again nothing was said about these in there photos on website). Then we keep having the parking assist needs service keeps coming on and off. I called them and all they said was, "We can have you drive 4 hours away to have one of our repair shops look at it but can’t promise they will do anything." Why have a car delivered to them have to drive it farther away than where it came from?

Now my wife went to drop my daughter off at dance and she went to start the car and the car won’t start. I had a repair guy go look at it and he is saying the battery is bad and the car needs a new battery. We have only had the car for a total of two days. I have bought a lot of vehicles in my 50 years and this is an absolute horrible experience. Please be very careful buying a car from them.

I hate to be this guy, but… I purchased a Nissan Armada from Carvana, and while most of the buying process went smoothly, my experience after delivery has been disappointing. The vehicle was listed as including the 3rd row mat, which is a custom mat that comes with the Platinum package, but the SUV arrived with no mats at all.

When I contacted Carvana, they offered me $100 as a “good faith gesture.” The problem is that each replacement mat costs around $200, so $100 doesn’t solve the issue. I explained that it wasn’t about the money — I simply wanted them to reach out to the location where I picked up the vehicle and ask if the mats were left behind. The representative refused, saying they couldn’t do that, which I find hard to believe. To make things worse, they described the $100 as a symbolic gesture, as if they were doing me a favor, despite me paying $50,000 for the vehicle.

I even followed up with their business account, asking once again for someone to at least attempt to look for the mats, but my message went unanswered. It’s frustrating because 90% of my experience with Carvana was positive, but this last part left a sour taste. A company selling high-value vehicles should stand behind their listings and take customer concerns seriously. Something as simple as making a phone call to verify whether the mats were left behind would have gone a long way in preventing this review.

While the beginning of our experience was a good one, thinking we had gotten exactly what we wanted, turned sour before delivery. The Buick Encore we were about to finance had over 100 dents from hail damage, and it only made it 7 miles before overheating. There is no way this vehicle was cosmetically or mechanically inspected and this missed. Obviously we wanted them to pick it up, their consumer department said they would make it right, well they of course did not. That call they were going to give me at 8 am never happened. At 1 pm I called them again and asked them to just come get it, mind you the lot is 7 miles away and they gave us a 12 hour window, 8 to 8, never called at all and knocked on the door at 930 pm. Yes, couldn't even make that huge window.

Their answer for doing the right thing, the same vehicle year, a few less miles and in Kansas City. $80.00 more per month and a $1290 shipping fee. That is exactly where the previous one came from for zero fee. In 43 years of buying vehicles this is by far the worst experience. I would not recommend them to anyone, ever. Buyer beware!

So for the privilege of paying my car off they drop all responsibility in my lap. And Ohio doesn't have a DMV, and the BMV doesn't do the title, the clerk of courts does. My tag has been extensively used and racked up north of $700 toll charges within less than a week. Therefore, I'm very much dissatisfied. I spent over $2,000 to have my car shipped with Carvana, and what did I get in return? Nothing but frustration. Carvana moved my appointment not once, but twice—and the final time was the very day the car was supposed to be delivered. That’s not just poor planning, that’s outright disrespect for the customer’s time and money. When you pay thousands of dollars up front, you expect professionalism, reliability, and at the very least, basic communication. Instead, Carvana proved to be completely unreliable and careless. I rearranged my schedule, made plans around delivery, and trusted their process. Instead, they left me stranded and out thousands of dollars, with zero accountability.

Carvana loves to market themselves as a “convenient, modern” way to buy a car. In reality, it’s nothing more than a disorganized mess that leaves paying customers in the lurch. If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay far away. I will never use Carvana again, and I strongly recommend anyone considering them to look elsewhere.

When changing to the 2024, the delivery price from Oregon was somehow raised to include my $1,600 down payment to equal $1,890.00. I cancelled everything and CARVANA kept the $1,890. They cannot produce the original electronically signed document stating the vehicles already sold. BE CAREFUL.

I recently purchased a Mercedes Benz GLA 300 from Carvana, and I want to share my experience to warn others. When the delivery truck arrived at my apartment for the trade, the car looked nice on the outside. But the moment I opened the door, I noticed the interior was not clean and there was a strong odor. I contacted Carvana immediately, and they offered me a $100 check to get the car detailed. The next day, I discovered a crack in the passenger-side dash window. When I reported it, Carvana told me to list all issues and contact one of their partner companies. That company eventually got back to me and essentially said it was my problem now—they would not help with the odor or the window.

Over the following days, the smell got worse. I spent around $300 to replace the cabin and engine filters, but the odor remained. While checking the glove compartment, I pulled out the car manual and noticed it had clear water damage—it looked like it had been soaked. This explained the persistent mold smell and raised a serious red flag: I may have been sold a flood car.

I’ve continued to put money into trying to remove the smell, but nothing is working. The cabin filter I replaced was saturated with a terrible odor, and I was advised that I may need to have the coolant and A/C system flushed. At this point, I’m very worried about the long-term reliability of the engine and the safety of the car. I strongly believe this vehicle was flooded, and I am very concerned that Carvana sold it without disclosing that fact. There is no question in my mind why their service partner refused to take responsibility.⚠️ My advice to anyone considering Carvana: be very careful. Do your research, get the car fully inspected, and do not sign off on delivery until you are completely confident in the vehicle’s condition.

A few days later I get the car in the shop where they had it for 2 weeks. I had to get a rental and pay out of pocket. I received my car back last week and today the engine light goes on. I take it back in where the shop informs me it's the turbo again so I take it to another shop and now I wait yet again. I have contacted carvana. They won't do anything to help me. No loaner covered so have to spend $60 each way for an Uber. Repair complete. Month 2 stereo sound begins shutting off randomly and get an alert to Service Safety Restraint system. Car is under Manufacture warranty so I make an appointment and take the vehicle in. Dealer calls and tells me they will cover the repair but they should not and they will show me when I pick it up. What they showed me was completely disturbing.

The air bag wiring harness in the steering column had been cut, stripped, spliced back together and then the bare copper wires stuffed back into the steering column (see attached Photo)! Had these wires touched while myself, or my 16 year old son were driving the vehicle it would have probably killed us. Dealer said it looked like an accident cover up. Called Carvana and they offered nothing except to suggest I get an online appraisal from them which came back $6500 less than I paid 3 months prior. Will be seeking legal advice on this as I no longer feel safe in the vehicle.

Carvana will do nothing to help. Contacted the warranty company. They recommended 2 shops, the 1st said they are unable to do the repairs, and the second can't get us in for another week. So, we are unable to drive the car we were so excited to purchase, JUST 3 WEEKS LATER. I have spent a ton of time on phone with carvana and warranty company, and the best solution they can come up with is to get the car to the repair shop in a week and wait until it's done.

I have been pleading with carvana and the warranty to help us, yet I am told there is nothing more they can do. Don’t buy from them. It’s a bigger headache than it’s worth and you’ll end up stuck without a vehicle while they play stupid about the issues and then hang up on you if you persist in speaking to someone higher who can actually help. They said that that was my responsibility because it’s wear and tear. I did not put wear and tear on those brakes in a month. Thirdly, my car was skipping so I took it to a company that dealt with the warranty. They called me and said I needed back drums and brakes, my wheel bearing needed to be replaced, and all my tires needed to be replaced. With that being said, the only thing that the warranty covered was the wheel bearing. I had to pay over $1000 to get everything else replaced.

When I called Carvana, they said they were wear and tear and they did not cover it. Again, Having the car for a month and a half how can I put wear and tear into those components? I made an appointment immediately with a referred garage. The garage told me the brake pads were completely shot and the rear passenger tire lug nuts were WELDED ON. They couldn’t get the tire off without breaking the rim. I asked Carvana to pick up the vehicle for return, which they agreed to, but for the replacement vehicle they would not waive the shipping fee - $600. How would I pick up a vehicle when I have no vehicle?! I will not purchase from them again. Very disappointing. They need to do a better job of inspecting vehicles before reselling them.

So I got a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee on July 1 and here it is August 14 and my check engine light is on and the car won’t turn on at all. The diagnostics test came back that I need a Timing Chain. That’s a $4000 job in which I can’t afford. I use this vehicle for work so I went over on the warranty miles that Carvana gave so now the car is just parked. Basically after a $3000 down payment and after paying only one car note, I’m on the verge of having to let it go back and mess my credit up even more and Carvana won’t help AT ALL. I haven’t even had the car a whole month and a half and I already have a $4000 engine problem!!! This is the worst situation I’ve ever been in. I hate the day that someone recommended Carvana to me. It was so easy to get the car that I should’ve known that something negative was going to follow.

I recently purchased a 2011 Toyota Highlander from Carvana with only 36K miles. The purchasing and finance process was a breeze (good stuff there). I have been quite dissatisfied with the 100 day "warranty" and the service repair provider SilverRock. After it was delivered, I noticed that the driver's side window did not go down all the way and made an awful clunking sound when the window closed. So I initiated a warranty claim, found an in-network provider (Meineke on Mill Plain in Vancouver, WA). That issue was fixed. Ok fine... should've been easy to spot BEFORE delivery, but it got repaired.

Then a few days later, I got home after driving around on a hot day with the AC on high... only to notice that the entire floorboard of the car was SOPPING wet. I wet-vaced everything as best I could in the dark at 10:30pm. Got it back in at the repair shop the next morning. I asked them to check the AC drainage hose as apparently this is a known issue with this make/model. I also asked them to mitigate for possible water damage, which I assumed would be pulling the carpet out and putting fans on it to thoroughly dry it out to ensure no rust or mold would develop.

The "maintenance required" engine had also come on, indicating that an oil change was needed. (Really? I've had the car for two weeks...and it already needs an oil change. Ok...cool.) So I asked them to also do an oil change, which I understood was not part of the warranty, since it was already in the shop. They indicated that they would. So I arrive yesterday to pick it up. Not only did they do nothing to dry out the floorboard carpet, they said they removed the AC drainage clog... but when I called SilverRock this morning, they did not see a claim for that. They didn't charge me for it... so... did they do it for free? Or just tell me they did it, but didn't actually do anything? I have no idea. Will I have flooded floorboards when it gets hot again? I have no idea.

And then to the oil change... when I got home last night, I noticed a puddle under the car. I assumed it was now properly draining water from the AC. Came back several hours later and the puddle was still there. The water hadn't dried.. .that's because it was water... it was OIL. We then checked the oil with the dipstick and... nothing. We unscrewed the cap and looked inside... NO OIL! I had either driven home when no oil at all, possibly damaging my engine... or they forgot to put the drainplug back in and all the oil leaked out on my drive home and in the parking lot of the places I stopped at along the way. And the maintenance light is STILL on saying that I need an oil change.

I have tried calling them four times this morning, and no one answers. I left two messages. No call back yet and it's almost noon. I called SilverRock about the incompetence and unresponsiveness of their in-network repair facility... and while the service rep was very polite and understanding, I was basically told... sorry, there's nothing we can do. It's between me and the shop. The 100 day warranty is only for mechanical issues.

So... bottom line is... read the fine print on what is actually covered in that 100 day warranty. And don't expect Carvana to check for obvious things like a window that isn't functioning properly or clogged AC drainage hoses in a make/model that is KNOWN to have this kind of issue. Maybe you'll get lucky... or maybe you'll end up like me... with a possibly damaged engine because you tried to get a simple oil change from a Carvana/SilverRock in-network repair shop that your car was ALREADY at...only to have things go south and they take ZERO responsibility.

My car was delivered with windshield wipers and tires that need to be replaced. So much for 150 point inspection if something so simple is missed. This list could grow after I bring it to a mechanic. I am a ED nurse and in graduate school. My partner works for FEMA. We are *busy*. We bought a 2017 Mercedes GLC300 with Carvana this year and our experience was not great. First, the car was in another state and we didn't have the time to go look at it in person. BAD. After delivery we discovered many problems that were not mentioned AT ALL in the listing that were NOT cosmetic including a boot that needed immediate replacement, bad tires, seat heaters not working, the back trunk doesn't stop when you're loading groceries into the cargo area- like it immediately starts going down after it gets to the top- I literally injured my shoulder due to this. These are some of the most inconvenient issues but there are MANY more.

We reported all the problems to Carvana prior to the warranty expiration but when we took the car to our overpriced Bougie Mercedes dealership they did not know the Carvana process and didn't submit any of the electrical issues to Carvana initially. It's impossible to reach an actual person at Carvana, so by the time we finally reached them they said they would still cover the electrical issues because we submitted them before the deadline but then they backtracked after the dealership re-submitted their list. They are now only covering the boot with a $350 deductible we still have to pay. So upshot.

If you are knowledgeable car person with the time to inspect the vehicle and/or deal with a dealership that knows the Carvana process well (note Carvana listed our dealership as a partner so it's not like we just picked a random), then maybe you will be OK. For normies like us, I seriously suggest you pay the extra to buy from a reputable dealership like Carmax or a local car dealership you know you can trust.

This was by far the WORST vehicle buying experience I have ever had. When I saw the car online with the low mileage, everything looked ok based on the photos they had posted. They had 4 small imperfections noted, which for what they had shown, was not a deal breaker, however, the next hour after delivery and having to re-clean the entire car was a different story. When they dropped it off, the delivery driver apologized for the mud that was all over one side of it due to their parking lot being not paved and full of mud holes. He even pointed out a big chunk of the rubber on the front tire that was missing and he was going to make a note of it. I pointed out the side mldg was coming off and he stated that Carvana would not fix and chalk it up to normal wear and tear.

Keep in mind, it was starting to rain so I could not see all of what I was about to find until after I cleaned it up again. After giving it a good wash and review, I noticed quickly that the vehicle had been in a wreck and some very shotty repair work had been done. I immediately called an "advocate" within an hour of them dropping off the vehicle and told them I wanted them to come and pick it back up and that I did not want it because there was undisclosed damage on the vehicle that was not in the listing or on the Carfax. Keep in mind I had to pay to have this car shipped from wherever it was to the local Carvana in Greensboro, NC. I have reached out to see about my refund of the shipping charges and keep getting the run around and no answers or refund.

I am entering a complaint with the BBB and will be pursuing action against them in order to get resolution. Their 150 checklist is a joke because whomever looked this car over and only found 4 flaws must be blind as a bat because I have pictures and videos of way more flaws, scratches, chips, trash in paint, overspray, Bondo in body panels, etc. that I will be using to prove my point. DO NOT buy a car from them because I would be ashamed to have the car they brought me representing my business and promoting a quality checklist on something that was clearly tore up and patched back together.

However, customer service needs more training. Carvana did what they were supposed to for registration, but when I called with questions, the customer service agent had long pauses only to return to ask me basic questions that were already in the chat or had been clarified. The agent obviously never reviewed my record And was ill equipped to handle interactions. He was able to provide information at the end and only provided his name after much insistence and repeated request. He refused to put me in contact with a supervisor, and I have still not heard from one after repeated requestS. My phone interaction was a lot better than the chat. I purchased a 2022 Tesla Model 3 from Carvana. The purchase process was super easy, and not having to go to a dealership made buying a car much more convenient. The delivery person was very nice, and walked me through the process of signing the documents, and answered all of the questions that I had. With that said, this is unfortunately the first and the last time that I ever purchase a vehicle from Carvana! Here is my experience…

It took three weeks for the car to be delivered, despite the car being close enough to qualify for free shipping. When the car arrived, it had issues that were completely unacceptable considering the price I paid. The alignment was out, to the point where the car was unsafe to drive, the windshield had two massive rock chips, and the control panel on the driver’s seat was broken. Carvana’s 150-point inspection is a complete joke! I spent two full days dealing with filing insurance claims, while talking to repair shops and SilverRock insurance. It’s been over a month and I’m still working on getting everything fixed! The insurance took a while to approve the alignment repair, so I had to make two trips to the alignment shop. I was told the alignment was so far out, the mechanic thought it had been in an accident!

SilverRock wouldn’t approve an OEM windshield replacement, so I’m having to replace the windshield with lower quality third-party glass. The aftermarket glass shop butchered the replacement, so I’m having to make two different trips to the glass shop, which is 45 minutes away! After just under a month, the windshield still hasn’t been fixed.

Getting insurance to approve an OEM seat repair was a nightmare, and I ended up having to pay out of pocket before insurance reimbursed me. Thankfully that repair was done correctly first try by Tesla’s Mobile Service. I was hoping to have a smooth car-buying experience. I did end up keeping the car, but there were moments where I was very close to returning it. Insurance is fixing the issues, but considering the amount of time and stress I’ve had to go through, I would’ve been better off going to a normal dealership. I am telling everyone I know to stay far away from Carvana!

On 7/30/25, Carvana delivered my vehicle with a windshield crack directly in my driver’s eyeline. This was never disclosed in the online listing or in their “Condition” section, even though that section listed other cosmetic flaws like scratches. I contacted customer service immediately. Two chat reps claimed the crack must have happened after delivery (it did not) and abruptly ended the chats after sending the same canned “I know this wasn’t the resolution you wanted” macro. No one tried to help.

After I filed a BBB complaint, a Carvana rep admitted they knew about the crack before delivery and had filled it because it was “under a certain size.” My only options: pay for it myself, swap vehicles, or return the car. Another rep confirmed in writing on 08/09/25 that it had been repaired pre-delivery and deemed “within standards,” so it wasn’t disclosed — even though it’s in my direct line of sight and a safety hazard.

I have filed complaints with the BBB, Texas Attorney General, FTC, and Texas DMV. Concealing known damage and refusing to fix it is deceptive, unsafe, and shows zero regard for customers. Desired Resolution: Carvana should replace the windshield at no cost using a qualified provider and change its policies to ensure known damage is disclosed before sale.

I initially purchased a 2017 yukon from Carvana, however in the first few days I heard an engine knocking noise, and sure enough it would need a new motor. I swapped it for a newer 2019 yukon, which felt good at first. After a few days I noticed a few things. I could feel the engine move when I accelerated, and I could feel something kinda... kick... when it downshifted. The first mechanic found broken motor mounts... plural. After that was fixed I still felt some issues in the transmission, but after bringing it to a few in network repair shops they couldn't find anything. Then the transmission started overheating. When the mechanics opened up the fluid pan, it was full of metal, and needed a new transmission.

I'm grateful that these things are covered under warranty, but I feel like these are some things that should have been checked, and now my new vehicle, that I'm paying a lot for every month, has been in a mechanic's shop totaling 45 days when I add up all the visits. I've only had this thing for 92 days as of today.... I honestly don't think they really look at vehicles before they sell them, and if they do then they need to fire the dude they have.

When choosing Carvana, I knew I'd overpay for a used car but it was a bit beyond even what I anticipated. The trade in value compared to loan makes gap coverage an absolute must and I still wish the price had been closer to the actual value of the car. Aside from the price point though, I've absolutely loved my Carvana experience!

I did not have to speak on the phone or in person to a single human being to buy the car (no dealing with pushy salesmen or stressful loan officer back and forths!). The first person I interacted with was the gentleman who dropped off my car and he was excellent - taking the time to show me the features and make sure I was comfortable and informed about my purchase. The car was delivered in pristine condition, it looked practically new thanks to the quality detailing.

Carvana's 7 day return policy is awesome, allowing time to really be confident in the purchase. My car had a significant cosmetic failing in the sunroof cover that wasn't reported in the listing which made me consider returning it - but I reached out to SilverRock and they covered the repair completely with no deductible, even helping me find a repair service. Carvana also offered more reasonable interest rates on the loan than even my own credit union! The integration between Carvana and its third party services (e.g. SilverRock and Bridgecrest) is excellent, truly eliminating some of the headache and barriers that usually exist to car ownership. Handling the titling was a very nice touch too - something my friends and family were most impressed by because no one loves a trip to the DMV. All in all, I've had an incredible experience with Carvana and will absolutely be back for my next car!

By late July, the A/C failed. No warranty, long dealership wait times, and unbearable Southern heat made it a nightmare. I traded it back in after winter. In March 2025, I bought a 2020 BMW X5 40i—this time with the Care Plus warranty. Shockingly, the A/C failed again in late July 2025, almost exactly one year later.

Two different luxury vehicles, same issue, same timing. It’s hard to believe this is a coincidence. It feels like the A/C systems were just recharged to pass inspection, not properly repaired. I’ve put down large payments to offset negative equity and trusted Carvana through multiple purchases. But after this repeated issue, I’m seriously reconsidering buying another vehicle from them. Carvana needs to improve their inspection standards, especially for critical systems like HVAC. Customers deserve better.

Anyone you talk to on the phone has different guidelines. You upload your documents only to be told to resend them a different way. And when you call to confirm they received them. A different sales rep tells you they need them sent a different way. All to waste your time and effort only to have deal expire and charge you more money. Don’t ever deal with Carvana. They will take you down payment and shipping costs upfront and then give you the runaround. Absolutely terrible business.

I was sold a car that needed mechanical work the day I drove it off the lot. Not only did I have to pay a shopping fee that's nonrefundable, but I had to pay for the mechanical work out of pocket. Carvana would only cover for a few of the problem, but wouldn't cover the rest. Why don't these vehicles gets detail inspected and do maintenance on them before selling? I'm not at all happy with the cost of repairs.

1 Star (only because 0 isn't an option). Carvana is hands-down the WORST car-buying experience I’ve ever had. I bought a car through them thinking it would be a smooth, modern, hassle-free experience. WRONG. First of all, I had to drive 5 hours just to pick up the vehicle — not exactly the convenience they advertise. But that was just the beginning. Within the first 110 miles of driving it back home, the check engine light and multiple service lights came on. That should’ve been my first clue that this car was a lemon. Since June 1st, I've had the car for maybe 15 days total (and none of those were even consecutive). It’s been in and out of the shop constantly. Oh — and the shop I HAVE to use for warranty work? 45 miles away. Every. Single. Time.

I asked for an exchange due to the never-ending issues and guess what? They refused. Apparently, selling someone a broken car with undisclosed mechanical AND cosmetic damage is just business as usual for Carvana. Transparency clearly isn’t their thing. They love to brag about their 100-day warranty, but here’s the fine print they don’t tell you: it comes with a $100 deductible every time. So not only am I constantly without a car, I’m paying out of pocket for their mistake. As for customer service? It’s nonexistent. I’ve never dealt with such a useless, unhelpful group of people. They give you the runaround, pass the blame, and act like you’re the problem for expecting a working car. Carvana is a joke, a scam, and an absolute nightmare to deal with. I will NEVER do business with them again and I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy. Save yourself the stress, time, and money — go literally anywhere else.

Their stated processing time is 10–15 business days, which has already passed. When I contacted support, I was told to submit a ticket and wait an additional 1–2 weeks—completely unacceptable. During the refund delay, I ended up purchasing the same vehicle from CarMax with better terms and a smoother process. If this refund is not issued promptly, I will be escalating the matter legally.

I thought that this purchase would be easy, but Carvana has hidden fees when delivering to you. I was asked to pay 150 for the delivery and a couple days after my registration. I was told that I was still missing $423 for the delivery. I had no choice, but to pay it since the rest of the process had been finalized. To make matters worse when the car was delivered I noticed a couple of cosmetic issues which were all rejected by silver rock. One of them is a bit more major as there is a gash with metal exposed in the truck bed. I have to fix this out of pocket now because if I don’t it will definitely rust in the future.

When the truck was delivered I noticed that Carvana had used the wrong address for registration. I mentioned this to the delivery person and he told me to call them and notify them before the registration was finalized. I made sure to do so, and they assured me that my address on file would be the one used for the registration. They failed to fix it, and used the incorrect address even after I had called. Needless to say I’m really disappointed with the customer service aspect and I’m really hoping that I won’t have any problems going forward. I don’t really know what to expect after seeing the real reviews on Reddit.

Sent in pics to their warranty company & they literally told the service advisor to go out & do some HARD BRAKING in the parking lot to fix the rust issue. Who does that?!? They also did not detail this vehicle before delivery. Carvana says they are sending me a check, but I am not holding my breath. STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM CARVANA. Especially the one in Charlotte NC.

Do NOT buy a car from Carvana. They are going to sell you junk. Thought I would try Carvana to avoid haggling with a salesman and regret it completely. I traded my immaculate 2021 Ford Ranger for a 2021 Expedition and boy am I disappointed. The process online was alright but I cannot believe they were able to sell me the vehicle that they did. After driving the Expedition for only 5-10 miles, I had a check engine light pop up. It was one of the injectors that needed replaced. I didn't even have it for 5 hours.

Tried to get in touch with the team to ask why and how it happened and they said I would now have to go through their insurance to have it covered under their "warranty period." Of course, id now have to jump through all the hoops. All 4 tires also needed to be replaced. I took the Expedition up to my local Ford dealer and the total cost is going on to be about $3,000 for all replacements needed. Injectors, tires, special tools for tire rotation, etc. They also told me that the cabin and engine filters were way beyond normal wear and that would be something they should have taken care of from the dealer. Completely let down and disgusted that they can rip people off the way I was. Avoid at ALL COSTS!!!! Scammers and frauds, the lot of them.

Tried to contact a live person online about it, they told me to file a claim. I did and they denied the claim saying normal wear. Again had to get a hold of a live person who said there was nothing they can do. the claim was denied. Asked for a supervisor, he said there is nothing they would be able to do because they can't override the denial. Told them I just want someone to address that it wasn't advertised and make it right. He said, "Sorry nothing we can do about it. It was denied. Your only option is to return or replace the car."

I kept telling him we love the car but you had false advertising on the seat damage so can we work on something to make it feel Like I didn't get screwed but he said I can return the car again. So was the same answers the online AI was giving me, not sure if I was talking to a real person. Sorry overall good concept and fast but customer service in this regard lacking. Will not be using service again as it will be better to get eyes on the car than them not posting or dealing with damage they didn't advertize.

The overall process of purchasing a vehicle from Carvana is very easy. Delivery was very professional and the car arrived very clean. Unfortunately, there were defects on the vehicle that were NOT reported. These were minor and not enough for us to return the car, but the condition of the vehicle as stated originally, was not accurate. For example, there are two obvious defects in the paint job where the paint or clearcoat is sagging, very noticeable. There is no spare tire. It is completely missing. In the 150-point inspection, it was listed as being there. Because of this, the trunk floor has no undersupport, so anything put back there causes the floor to sag. The front-passenger side fog light glass is broken.

Very obvious and should have been noted. The underbody of the car was loose in several places and I had to buy retainer clips to reattach it. Directly under the driver seat, the underbody plastic shield has been damaged and I will likely have to replace it. I don't mind there being minor issues with the vehicle, it's a used car, but these things are pretty obvious and could have been placed on the inspection report. Disappointing. Of all of these, I feel that Carvana should make right the fact that the spare tire is completely missing. Because, it was checked off in the 150-point inspection. That is just incorrect.

3.) Then the transmission failed. They had the car for a month. I had to pay for part of the repair. I had to pay for the rental out of my own pocket (as they only pay for 10-days max). Replacement transmission failed within days of the return. Out of 60-days, I only had the car for about 30-days.

When I complained: They responded to me by saying I should have returned it within the 7-day return period. It took longer than that to discover the issues and find an in network repair facility. This has been a terrible experience and no answer in sight as to when I will get the car back.

I clicked buy and was told the vehicle was not available in my area. I found an alternative. I uploaded my current, valid, driver's license only to be told it was unacceptable because it was within 30 days of renewal. A new state law meant I had to download and complete a form and get it signed by my optometrist before I could renew. I DID all that and then had to upload the image to the cloud, download to my, PC, and then re-upload. I contacted customer support. The first thing they said was there was an issue with my trade in. THEY said there was a lien on the vehicle I paid off over 10 years ago. So I scanned a copy of my title and uploaded it. It was unacceptable. Only a picture would do. I had to take a picture of the title, upload to the cloud, download to my PC, and re-upload to Carvana. Initial delivery of July 7 was moved to July 9. Delivery was moved to Wednesday 7/9/25 due to a faulty battery needing replacement.

I executed all of the contracts, signed, and was set.... I thought. Delivery was delayed, again, until 7/11/25. When the car arrived the driver told me that I had NOT executed all of the contracts or signed them. I told him I had. I finally brought him into my house to my PC, signed into to Carvana, and showed him they were signed. Then HE called customer service and went round with them for at least 30 minutes. His tablet showed my contracts weren't signed. Then, almost magically, when he hung up with customer service, they all showed proper execution. I had paid for a pre-purchase inspection while under the 7 day period I could return it. It found a problem with the Right Rear ABS monitor chip and that new break pads were needed.

I made an appointment and took it to my nearest Toyota dealer (it is still under manufacturer's warranty). They discovered the ABS monitor chip was in fact clogged with debris from warn brake pads. They cleaned and resurfaced the rotors and replaced the brake pads at no cost to me.... other than time, frustration, and aggravation. If it weren't for the vehicle price, mileage, make, and model I would have packed it in long before purchasing. I chose Carvana at the recommendation of family and friends because they praised your fine customer service. THIS WAS NOT WHAT I EXPERIENCED.

I went online, found a car which took hours (Don't have time to run around test driving cars) needed to secure a car and have it delivered before insurance ran out. Was putting $7500 down. There was a huge glitch because of address verification. My bank statements still showed the old address even though I had changed them online.

I was able to get them a Final HUD, I was able to get them a Power bill I sent them a wire transfer with my name and address, I sent them an insurance notice with my name and address that had just been mailed to me. I sent them a document FROM my bank showing a recent wire transfer with the correct address. My LICENSE had the proper address. But NO. They wouldn't approve the sale, So I canceled so I could run to a car dealership where I had seen a car online. But CARVANA HAD ALREADY TAKEN MY $7500 even though they had not approved my address so NOW, tomorrow, I can't go out and buy a car either. Ok I get it.. it’s a used car so this can happen.. not too concerned since I have the limited warranty for 90 days. So the garage fixes that issue but it does not fix the car. Fast forward to June 4 2025 when the car is towed to a ford garage from the garage it is currently at. Yes the car was at the first garage from April 25 until June 4 and I had not had it in my possession all that time. So while the car is at the ford dealership garage.. I’m conversing with Ray the Executive resolution guy who keeps telling me to trust the process of letting them fix the car and fighting with the warranty company. So after multiple attempts to fix the car ford states they have no idea what is wrong with it... and btw... it’s now July 24 2025. The warranty has ran out and the car is not fixed.

I emailed Ray and let him know I trusted the process but the car still does not run and ford has given up. He gave me two options.. (1) trade the car in to Carvana which means they give me 2500 and roll the remaining 7000 in to my new car loan or (2) keep the car and keep getting it fixed but reminded me that the warranty is no longer valid and I’m responsible for all repairs. This was Carvana resolution to a car that I only had for 3 weeks and two different garages we’re not able to fix the car after having the car for 3 months. I have contacted the AG as well as BBB and an attorney. I will keep this updated.. sorry it’s so long.

There is damage all around the vehicle. The 7 day return policy is worthless when considering these objections as the shipping fee is non-refundable. What should have happened when I filed the complaints: review all of the exterior damage and then do what any other local dealer would have done. Refund $1000 for mispresenting the vehicle.

As such I will not consider buying a vehicle from Carvana again simply because no proper inquiry was made as to the misrepresentation of exterior condition. I either throw away $1000 on non-refundable shipping or throw away $1000 in vehicle value. I will keep the car. Absolutely not happy with the business model. Don't even bother to note exterior damage if you won't stand behind damage that exists but not noted. Even now, I can only upload 6 pictures. Each time I called, the hold was extended, but with threats of putting the car back into availability with each approaching deadline. I had already been preapproved for financing and was able to finalize the loan at my branch the next day, but it was a Saturday, so the check (from the main bank) could not go out until Monday. I was only able to get the FedEx tracking number, but my bank could not supply a copy of the check. That left me in limbo. The FedEx tracking reported the check arrived the next morning on Tuesday. When I called, I was told that I would not be contacted when the check cleared but had to call in to find out. Not a great system. I must have called over a dozen times.

On Friday, I finally asked to speak to a supervisor, but had to wait for a "ticket." The next day, after a looong call, the car was released so I could set up delivery. So kudos to the agent who helped me, but your system needs to take into account holidays and weekends and not scare clients with the threats. Also, the car had undisclosed damage--cracks in the windshield. I called the day before my trial ended and was told another "ticket" would be put in and someone would contact me. That was a week ago! And a minor issue, the car arrived with no fluid in the wiper fluid tank.

It's now been 7 days with my car, and I really can't say anything bad about the process.

The car arrived on time, but in unacceptable condition: dirty wheel wells, mud packed between the tire grooves, and bug smudges all over the front—like it had just been test-driven through a dirt lot. The so-called "Advocate" (delivery rep) clearly didn’t care. Instead of addressing the issues, he repeatedly told us to go online and even suggested canceling the delivery if we didn’t like how the car looked.

To make things worse, the passenger-side DRL was dead—a known issue they still delivered the car with. Overall, a horrible experience. After three phone calls and answering 32 questions, I'm now just waiting to return the car within their so-called 7-day return window. To top it off, they expect me to stay home all day, since the pickup can happen anytime between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.—with only a 30-minute heads-up. Bloated prices and a sky-high interest rate? Just the icing on this very disappointing cake

Worst experience dealing with Carvana reps!! Run don’t use them ever!! This company is highly unethical taking deposits and shipping costs every chance they get! They say it’s no hassle but it’s no hassle if you don’t mind losing more money to every decision you make with them. They make you verify everything which is fine but they don’t use logic and if you go by an alias name at work, they expect you to expose all your privacy to your job just so your name matches your identification for a car.

If I wanna claim I’m married at work with my family name of my kids, that’s my business. Even while I was transparent with Carvana, they expected me to notify HR to make a change to all my documentation at work so my paycheck stub reads my legal name just because they couldn’t use their brains to comprehend that if I did that, that’s a whole lot of paperwork for HR just to turn around and change it back after a car purchase really? No other car sales had any issue with my hyphenated last name!! These people are stupid and blackballed me from ever buying from there again just because my last name was different on my identification than my paycheck stub!! It was literally the same name just hyphenated with my kid's last name behind it!! 🙄

They look for any reason to screw people over and take advantage of people! The cars aren’t even the best and every car I’ve purchased previously - yup you heard that right they didn’t have any issues with selling to me before because they neglected to care so much but it seems if they know you’re getting a better deal than they are, they’ll find ways to screw you. You’ll be wasting a whole lot of time and money with them and I don’t care to ever use them again so they did me a favor!! I’ll be glad when I can sell the POS that I got from them!!

Do not be confused by the 5 Star ratings. Those 5 star ratings are a result of people who bought and took delivery from Carvana. But what if you use their "7 car return policy". It sounds like a great thing but it is a way for them to make money. What happened to me is I purchased a car online. Within two hours, I canceled my order. I understand they have a policy that you lose the money for the delivery fee, even though it was only 2 hours later, they delivered nothing and I was not getting my car for another 3 days. I don't agree with that but that is their policy. The problem I have is when I bought the car, my $2200 deposit was taken out of my account within one hour.

They first told me it would be 5 days before they would return my money back. On the eighth day, I contacted them again, they told me it was going to be 15 days to get my deposit back. In working for a bank, I know a wire transfer takes seconds and not over two weeks. If my money is not there, it is off to small claims court. Of course, because they kept my "Delivery Fee" even though they did not deliver anything and they are holding onto my deposit, I can guarantee I will never buy from them. By doing this to hundreds of customers, they make a fortune on the interest. So, if you are buying, make sure you take delivery because their return policy is not like having the policy at all.

This one is my second order from you. I received a vehicle totally different than what was listed. Carvana really needs to pay more attention to the inspection period. During delivery, the driver took pictures of the imperfections (which wasn't listed) and told us that somebody will give us a call and nobody did. We filled out service form and you can only choose 3 imperfection (system doesn't allow you do more) and two were denied. And the funny thing here is the respond from you guys: Every used vehicle tells its own story, which might include a few imperfections. By not fixing every cosmetic blemish, we're able to pass lower prices on to you. We do our best to provide full transparency & visibility on the most prominent cosmetic issues in highly visible areas. This vehicle has been carefully inspected and reconditioned to ensure it meets our high safety and performance standards.

They claim that they do their job perfectly which is not correct. We gave a call to customer service, they also said only one thing they can fix which is headliner. Also car has mechanical problem, I have lots of pictures and videos related to this case. Than we decided to return it. I forgot to mention, I brought the car Mercedes Service and they are telling that at least we need to spend more than $6K for interior cosmetic repairs, mechanical is plus. The only good thing is the low mileage of the vehicle. Rest is disappointing.

I will share my review online also with the pictures and vin number of the vehicle and definitely mention that inspection period is a failure. I won't order anything from you guys anymore, without seeing a vehicle no way. By the way my first order had problem also but Carvana was agree to fix them and we kept the car. But same problem that time also, lack of inspection. Please pay more attention to inspection period. And I am not talking about scratches paint imperfections. We have many but not important for me. If you have time please check the pictures in your system and compare them with listing pictures. Also maintenance reminder is on, says due service. How can we make sure you guys check the fluids and etc. Depending report yes you did but reality is a question mark. If you send me an e-mail address I can send you pictures and videos.

No buy from ever Carvana again. I attached 6 pictures, I have many more and also have videos. None of the listed on your website. Roof liner is totally gone, it is not possible to not to see it but inspector didn't see it. The carvana driver and I did the inspection in 5 minutes and he put the pictures on his system. Then when we start to drive the car we also find additional things. Also transmission will give you a headache also in long term. I have many Mercedes vehicles during years and still have 3 of them, and know what is going on and might will be on. Thanks.

This was my first Carvana experience and I was disappointed. Carvana is a Huge Company that demanded that I select different Insurance coverage to ensure that I could keep the van and Pick up date. I selected the 2019 Van on July 4th and figured that I could call my Current insurance to add new van to my policy. I was called on a National Holiday to set up Insurance coverage on the new vin number to ensure my purchase and pick up date. I was told that coverage needed to be sent to Carvana BEFORE 4:30 pm on Saturday, July 5th, My current insurance company was closed on Sat and Sundays. Now I am trying to wait for my refund from Progressive.

After jumping and doing everything to get new insurance for the new van. YOU (Carvana) drafted someone else's bank account On July 8th and now I have to do a cashiers check to show that the money is in the account! When I spoke with MANNY about this issue and had MY bank tell him on speaker phone that NO draft or Overdraft charge was present on my account on July 9th after 9:00am! I am not HAPPY about the whole purchase of this vehicle! The staff at the Raleigh Carvana Vending machine were GREAT and explained everything! They were not the problem at ALL! That helped me feel somewhat better about the van I finally picked up on July 16th, 2025. I did have a mechanic check the van over to check for any other HIDDEN issues!

An incredibly dumb mind built the site's logic and user interface. To make matters worse, when there is an issue with the car that needs to be addressed during the 7 day window, you make it incredibly difficult to sort out which is why I had to buy a battery out of pocket due to the new Carvana purchase having a failed battery during a diagnostic test and the car not starting. That should NEVER happen, but it did!!! Almost $300 bucks paid on top of car purchase and to date my $1400 refund has not processed!!!! Terrible experience, and NEVER again!!

I must say that I’m deeply disappointed with Carvana. The trade in value of my vehicle was $6000 below the actual value of my 2018 F 150. The price of the vehicle was no lower than sticker value of the New Truck. Convenience was the only driving factor in this purchase. After hearing news of possible layoffs at work I was forced to cancel my order. I had already paid the shipping charges of 1890.00. After cancellation of the order they would NOT return my shipping costs. They state you must cancel within 24 hrs of placing your order. This is unacceptable. I’m currently filing a case against them in my County. I will pursue retrieval of these shipping charges no matter what the outcome. I’m being penalized for attempting to purchase a Vehicle from Carvana is the only logical explanation I can think of.

This is not the only issue with this company although it is the current issue I’m dealing with. This should not be allowed in any situation. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company. The convenience of the purchase does not outweigh the problems you will face after purchasing from them. I am not the only person dealing with these similar issues. Be aware that this company is not there to help. They only want your money.

I was able to use my purchase offer to bargain with other dealers and actually got great offers with that leverage but no one could really be at Carvana's deal. I had to speak to many different customer service representatives before being able to finance through my own bank. They kept telling me that they couldn't use my bank so I hung up and tried again until I got to a customer service representative that actually knew what they were doing. I ended up being able to use my bank. The main issue was check verification, banks cannot verify checks over the phone, they need fax or email.

When the car arrived, I had all my paperwork signed and ready and my plates ready to transfer and the process was very easy. The car came with brakes completely shot in the front and back so I took it to my local Firestone and they called Silverrock and got a claim done for me. The process to purchase is very simple and handled very well. The reason for the low rating is what happened post delivery. We received our Wagoneer on the 10th in Tennessee. Our nephew was joining the Navy and had a going away party in Pickerington, Ohio on the 11th. We drove the 5 hours to Ohio on the 11th and it was raining. While driving we hit a slippery patch and the car skidded out of control going 55 MPH. By the grace of God I gained control of the car after almost going into the grass and flipping on the left side of the highway and skidding back to the right and almost hitting multiple vehicles when we were almost to my sister in law's house. On arrival, we looked and the rear tires were almost bare. While I should have checked this, I assumed that a brand new car (for us) would have tires that were in good shape.

I called Carvana on Saturday and was given the contact info for the warranty people. When I called them they were closed and were closed Sunday. I had to be back in Tennessee for work on Monday. I went online and schedule an appointment with an in service provider. When I arrived Sunday morning they could not contact the warranty people and did not have the tires in stock. The called a few other of their locations and no one had the tires we needed. I located a National Tire and Brake location (out of network) that did have the tires and could replace them on Sunday. I had them replaced for $400 dollars.

I called the warranty company in Monday morning and was told that I went to an out of network provider and since I did the only way to be reimbursed was to get a letter from the place in Ohio saying the tires needed to be replaced and another letter from the in service provider stating that they did not have the tires. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time as I tried to go through the in service people and tried to speak to the warranty company and got zero help. We will not be doing business with Carvana again

They sent us information on where to take the car to get the windshield changed in our town and they paid for the repairs. It was easy to get approval and the changes happened quickly. Now, as soon as we left the site headed home, we began to hear a really strange noise coming from under the car. We stopped in the Highway to check and noticed that the heat shield underneath the car was loose and scraping against the road. Apparently, it had not been clipped back properly.

We had no idea what was going on. A Good Samaritan stopped and helped us clip it backs. We informed Carvana and they approved the shield to be replaced at one of our local mechanics. The process was rushed, with tight deadlines and countdowns that added to the pressure. Communication was poor, leaving me confused about the status of my purchase. I spent two days scrambling to get documents in on time, dealing with back-and-forth communication between Carvana and my insurance company. Getting a copy of the title from Carvana was particularly challenging.

Compared to my previous car-buying experience at a Honda dealership, where they handled all the paperwork and insurance calls, Carvana's process felt chaotic. Despite submitting all documents on time, I was told there was an issue the day before pickup, and I had to wait an extra week for the vehicle. When it finally arrived, the driver was kind and professional, but the vehicle itself was filthy and had unmarked damage, including a piece of weatherstripping hanging loose and caked-on dirt. Given the state of the vehicle, I was disappointed, but my urgent need for a car kept me from refusing delivery. However I did report the issues to the driver. Overall, my experience with Carvana was disappointing, and I hope they improve their communication and vehicle preparation in the future.

Avoid Carvana at All Costs – Unsafe, Unchecked Cars & Useless Customer Service. I’m extremely disappointed with my experience buying a car from Carvana.com. They promote their so-called “150-point inspection” like it’s some industry gold standard, but based on what I received, I’m honestly questioning if they even looked at the car.

Within just the 1st day of ownership, I discovered:

Warped front and rear brakes that made the entire car shake violently every time I touched the brake pedal. It's not a small issue — a full safety hazard.

Worn-out windshield wipers with rubber literally hanging off. The first rain showed they were completely unusable. That’s something a basic visual check should catch.

When I contacted Carvana’s customer service, they acted like none of this was surprising — like they were used to people calling about busted cars. There was no urgency, no ownership, and no real concern. Just scripted responses and hollow apologies. Thankfully, I was still within their 7-day return window, so I wasn’t completely stuck with a lemon. But let’s be real — no one should have to deal with unsafe brakes and failing parts on a car that just passed some supposed 150-point inspection. Carvana sells you on convenience, but underneath that slick app and delivery service is a company that’s clearly cutting corners. I’ll never use them again, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who values safety, quality, or customer support.

For starters, in order to get a car the bank statements used need to be within a specific group of banks listed. Once I cancelled the car I had put $490 as a down payment on, I was told that it would take 10-15 business days to issue a refund. Once those 15 days were up I reached out to the customer service on their website and I was told that the "automated refund process has not yet started". I then asked why it didn't start when I cancelled the order, and they said it was because the "automated refund failed to process". Why was there no email? No text? No call? This is shady.

However, dealing with Silver Rock for warranty or service-related issues has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Communication is poor, response times are slow, and the approval process feels unnecessarily complicated. While everything else went well, Silver Rock’s service definitely needs major improvement to match the quality of the rest of the experience.

When my vehicle arrived, the delivery team confirmed that tires were shot. I called Carvana, who advised me to take it to Firestone, to get the tires replaced. After many calls and discussions, Firestone refused to replace the tires. Had I been told the car tires were not going to be replaced, I would have refused delivery. This is a difficult-to-find vehicle due to precise axle ratio needed for towing. I paid out of pocket for 2 of the 4 tires needed on day two of ownership after being told, they were not safe to drive on. Yet, Carvana insisted it was normal wear and would not cover the cost. Carvana provided me a five-hundred-dollar check, which covered less than half the cost of 4 tires.

So much script interaction that these people failed to address the problem. Could have returned-exchanged, but didn't have two weeks to wait and figured Carvana would bomb on delivery again. Fixed the issue myself instead of the time sucking Silver Rock warranty path.

For what it is worth, Silver Rock, the warranty and roadside provider... after 2 hours still couldn't get THEIR OWN ROADSIDE PROVIDER ON THE PHONE, let alone on site. Silverrock covered repairs of 7000 and gave us a Carfax accident report so the Tahoe is worth less. 5th car scat pack charger had 3 small spots listed in paint, was actually 25 plus and some dents (very dishonest). Took to a shop and was quoted over 9000. But according to the Carvana team this is normal wear and tear. I have cars 30 years old with only 1 scratch. Also the car showed up dirty. From Monroe submitting the information to the wrong company, to losing track of my claim information and requiring multiple visits, it has been an ordeal. All I needed were two functional tires. After spending thousands of dollars on a new vehicle and thousands more on a “protection plan,” I would expect to be provided with decent tires. So I tried to get in-service option online, and speaking to Carvana and to Silver Rock. My options were out of town an hour away. I don't drive out to that town. So it’s very inconvenient and impractical, When there's plenty of shops in town. So just on that basis I wouldn't recommend anyone in this town to buy a car from carvana. It's not a small town either. I didn't buy a car just to be concerned with issues right off too. That's very discouraging.

I won't buy a car from carvana due to my unhappy experience. The car shouldn't be sputtering and jerking. And I didn't want to return it for another one that was same price and have them have to drive way out here again. And probably have same issues. They recommended new battery, two new tires and mount directional tire correctly. I was still within my limited warranty period and I had a also purchased their SilverRock warranty plan.

After calling Carvana and SilverRock (and later filing dispute with SilverRock) both companies stated these were non covered repairs as they were maintenance related. Again, I had this vehicle less than 2 months and driven only 1,669 miles. Total out of pocket $764.10. Lesson learned- during 7 day trial period, spend a little and have your local mechanic do their own inspection for a fraction of that cost! Air filter was also filthy. Additional $21 to replace. I sold my car to Carvana and this part of the process was smooth. Then I bought a car from them (same car but newer and less miles) and then paid my mechanics to inspect the car. Turns out that it had almost 10k of needed repairs, none of which were noticed in the report that was posted by Carvana. Some of these repairs were an oil leak, coolant tank replacement, front and rear brakes under 3mm, all tires had visible dry rot, control arm brushing coming apart, and a few other minor issues. I then called the warranty company SilverRock and spoke with two reps who made me feel like I would be taken care of until the last rep denied all and any claims.

I then contacted Carvana to see if they would pay for the repairs and they said it was all based on the insurance company's willingness to pay and since they said no, I could either keep the car or return it as I had 7 days. I was disappointed because in purchasing a car through them, I thought the inspection would have been more thorough. So buyer beware and make sure you take your purchase to a mechanic ASAP to ensure your inspection within the allotted 7 days. Lesson learned here the Carvana might need to do better at inspections AND their warranty company SilverRock will probably not pay for repairs.

One week in and all 4 tires need to be replaced already. At delivery my tire pressure light was on and I reported this to the driver, who was very kind and professional by the way. He did a great job. He informed me that the tire pressure light had kept popping on during inspection and the sensor was reset so he suspected the sensors needed to be replaced so he put a ticket in documenting all of this, which I appreciated. However he told me that Carvana would email me "within 48 hours" which never happened. So within the 7 day window period I had to put a maintenance request in on my own about this. In the week I have owned the car the tire pressure light has gone on and off constantly and the tires are very loud when I drive.

I scheduled the appointment at one of Carvana's approved facilities, Firestone. We take it in today for the appointment and within seconds of laying eyes on my car the mechanic immediately recognized that it needs new tires. The mechanic explained to me that the tires are cupping and that would explain the loudness that comes from the tires as I'm driving as well as the tire pressure light keeps going on and off. The mechanic got on the ground to point of the pattern of dust and clean parts on the tire showing where it is skipping and literally parts of the tires are not even touching the ground. He did a further inspection and identified that the sensors are all fine but the car needs 4 tires and an alignment.

Clearly these tires are extremely worn down, which was not done by me in the week I've owned it. So I am beyond frustrated that this is evening happening. How could a 150 point inspection that is alleged to have happened miss that 4 tires need to be replaced? You put me in an unsafe and unreliable vehicle and now I'm without transportation until this can be remedied through SilverRock. I bought a car because I needed transportation and now a week later I'm without transportation again.

I feel this is absolutely and completely unacceptable and so off-putting. I do appreciate the quality assurance person who I did speak to at customer service who validated my frustrations and agreed that this should never have been missed. Carvana knew the sensor kept going on yet couldn't check the tires? Unacceptable. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated. I'm booked to go on vacation this week as well and I currently am worried my car will not be fixed in time or that I will be required to pay any sum of money towards a repair that shouldn't be needed.

There is one thing that I would point out that could affect your purchase, if the vehicle/part was more visible or if there was a little more detail. For example, the vehicle I purchased is in great shape. It appears and looks like it was well taken care of. The tires though are at or just above the bare minimum tread depth. Maybe I missed it if you said that the tread depth was only 4/32 seconds. This is a $1200 purchase. This could sway the purchase of this vehicle to another similar vehicle. Maybe that’s important to me, but other people may not find it important. I think though, overall you are on the right track and I would definitely purchase another vehicle from Carvana.

This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. I didn’t have to deal with pushy car salesman or walking a hot car lot. I simply got online and shopped peacefully in my bed and purchased my vehicle within 45 minutes. I would definitely do it again. Thanks Carvana!!

The Process started with me paying in full for a 2024 Nissan Rogue, my wife and I were extremely excited about it. After receiving 3 delays covering the span of 3 weeks after original delivery date/pickup date. We finally received our vehicle, come to find out the passenger seatbelt did not work, it would move from the original spot so there was no way to buckle it. The back wiper had no blade on it and there was an electrical issue where radio would shut off and on randomly. So, after just 2 days with the Nissan Rogue I sent it back and picked out another vehicle which was a 2017 Ford Explorer which was a great car mechanically and well taken care of except for one issue. Driving on the Freeway/Highway the pillar on the windshield broke off and flew into another car, then pieces of the underbody plastic started coming off and the amount of dry rot on door seals was too much to handle, so we sent it back.

Finally, I said 3 strikes and you're out, so we tried one last time, we sent the Explorer back and got a 2017 Ford Edge and this vehicle is CLEAN but had a check engine light and dead battery. They fixed it before the delivery which was delayed 2 times. Received the vehicle and fell in love. 2 days after receiving the Ford Edge the check engine light came on and the car started to shut off anytime I would come to an idle. They offered to fix it through SilverRock, and it just so happened that the local firestone was in network, and I had to pay nothing, but the car was in the shop for 5 days and just like that my 7-day money back guarantee was gone, and it was officially our vehicle. The original purchase was for 24,000. The second purchase was for 17,000. The final and 3rd purchase was for somewhere around 18,000

I was owed 5,021$ as a refund due to original payment of 24,000 being more than the purchase of 18,000. They can see the refund owed based off everyone I spoke to and still have to review the account and purchases (which takes 5-7 business days) and then when they make the check, they ship it STANDARD SHIPPING, not EXPEDITED or even SIGNATURE REQUIRED for a check of 5,000$ (which takes an additional 10-15 BUSINESS DAYS), once you get the check you also have to wait on bank approve and release funds which brings it roughly to 30 DAYS of estimated wait time for money owed.

Frustrating: Yes. Bad Customer Service: No, every phone call and chat I had with them was beyond professional and understanding. Bad Ownership/Management: Don't know, but their policies are a joke and just don't even go down the road. This company is a joke and full of greed and care nothing about the consumer/customer. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

The process was quick & easy, the car was delivered in 24 hrs. I will say, ALWAYS double check the service team. I discovered they had overflowed the oil by a full quart...After I had made a 300 miles trip. Also they obviously didn't check the air filter, it looked like a bird's nest. Otherwise I couldn't be happier so far.

Apparently some aftermarket exhaust work was done (undisclosed) and I purchased a FORD and received a HYUNDAI key fob that fell apart. Looked like it had been stepped on. Button for lock mechanism literally fell out. Not covered because there was a picture of the fob in with the car pictures. No logo or emblem. I only know it’s a Hyundai fob because my son works on cars. Threw a code after I had it 2 days. It went off, so hoping that was a fluke. It’s true you never know what you’re getting when you buy used. I would not necessarily recommend Carvana because I would have still preferred to test drive it before committing to a purchase.

They helped me even though I was early for my appointment. Multiple people checked in on me. It would have been nice to get the car with a full tank of gas especially after you debited my account for the full payment 5 days before I picked it up. You earned 5 days of interest on my money before I took ownership of the vehicle.

I had trouble getting in touch with customer service about the condition of car. It was delivered a week late and the four tires on it were dry rotted and 4 years old. The tire alignment was extremely out of whack. I took to out of network mechanic that I trust. He looked it over. I would like to be reimbursed but the warranty customer service was not helpful.

I have purchased 5 cars from Carvana. Each has been fantastic. This time was very different. I am very disappointed this time around. Car arrived with completely unsafe tires. They were dry-rotted, unevenly worn and also even had visible steel belts showing through. When I reached out to Carvana to address, they told me that I would have to located and drive car to a service facility to submit a "warranty claim". Car was unsafe to drive anywhere other than to the tire shop. I ended up having to spend $1400 out of pocket for new tires to make sure the car was safe to drive. There is NO possible way that these tires were inspected by anyone, regardless of what the 150pt checklist says.

It makes me question how thorough the rest of the check truly was. I should NEVER have been sold car that is not roadworthy and I should have NEVER stuck holding a $1400 bill to correct the issue. The proper response would have been for Carvana to reimburse me to the money out of my pocket, but I was told that would not happen.

Like usual I am disappointed with the “150 point inspection“. My car was delayed a week because of a service light that was found minutes before my 1st appointment. However, once the vehicle was in my possession and the deal was signed I’ve been happy with my purchase. And the service rep at the vending machine was quick but thorough.

I purchased a vehicle from Carvana that clearly was not inspected at all. I had the vehicle delivered on Saturday 7/5 and took it into a shop first thing Monday 7/7 to discover it has multiple issues. Bad Torque Converter (after a previous one was already replaced, though this isn't always the easiest to diagnose). This is a code being returned by the vehicle and can be heard in the cabin as a rattling sound. Very well known with 2013 Honda CRVs. A completely broken and sheared off rear sway bar link that is plainly visible to anyone underneath the vehicle with eyes that something is broken even without training. And a severe leak in the shift shaft seal of the transmission. None of these were disclosed prior to purchase despite claims of inspections being done.

They charge a 1k shipping fee that they claim is non refundable, this amounts to false advertising as I would never have made the purchase and incurred the shipping fee had they actually done an inspection and disclosed the condition properly. The insurance company Silver Rock was notified of the issues by 10:30 am on Monday Morning, and it is now 4 pm on Thursday and they won't commit to paying to fix the issue, the final day to return the vehicle is Tomorrow. This whole experience has been a massive pain to go without a vehicle and deal with what is clear incompetence from Carvana inspections on top of being out a vehicle this entire time. Stay away from Carvana, the "hassle" saved from not dealing with a dealership is not worth the hassle you gain from the lack of proper disclosure of issues from Carvana itself.

Every interaction I had with a representative of Carvana was so pleasant! Everyone was kind, professional, and respectful. The only hiccup I had was when trying to upload some of the documents. But a member of the Carvana team helped figure out a workaround so my delivery date wouldn't be delayed. I would definitely use Carvana again, and I would happily recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car.

I will not purchase another vehicle from Carvana, nor will I recommend them. The ONLY pleasant experience was the delivery driver. He was great. The car arrived with unlisted damage, filthy, and the interior had not been cleaned at all. I spent hours cleaning the inside, put in a repair request for the unreported damage, which got approved. Unfortunately, when I called the only garage listed as a "preferred provider" in my area, they informed me that they refuse to work on any Carvana Cars, as they do not pay for the repairs and claim that they are forced to cut corners for cheap fixes.

I called SilverRock and they told me I would have to travel more than an hour to another garage for the repairs, which is unfeasible because the repairs needed would take time and I would be stranded an hour away for days??? Since the damage was not structural, I do not qualify for a rental during that time. I don't know how you are still in business. The Lemon Law was explicitly made for crooks like you, and I don't think you will last long at this current pace.

⚠️ BEWARE of Carvana, SilverRock & Bridgecrest ⚠️. I purchased a 2019 Ford Expedition Max from Carvana on May 2, 2025, for $25,990. Within one week it broke down and has been at the Ford dealership undrivable since May 9 — over 2 months! Carvana only offered to buy it back for $17,600, leaving me stuck with thousands in debt and no vehicle. My $2,400 trade-in is gone, I can’t register it in Georgia, and the warranty expires August 8. SilverRock and Carvana keep blaming each other, and Bridgecrest still wants payment for a loan on a broken vehicle.

I’ve filed complaints with the GA Attorney General, BBB, and CFPB and am pursuing legal options. Carvana is ignoring me and hoping I’ll give up. Don’t make the same mistake — share this and protect others. #Carvana #CarvanaScam #SilverRock #Bridgecrest #CarvanaComplaint #ConsumerRights #AutoFraud #GeorgiaAttorneyGeneral #LemonLaw

We bought a car from Carvana thinking we were making a smart, convenient purchase. Less than a month later, the vehicle had a major mechanical issue—a complete lemon. To make matters worse, the warranty company they partner with, SilverRock, has been absolutely horrible to deal with. Instead of fixing the issue quickly and properly, SilverRock dragged out the process. They sent a used, refurbished part to the BMW dealership instead of authorizing the correct OEM part. When the dealership confirmed the part was wrong, SilverRock unbelievably asked them to modify the incorrect part—something no reputable service center would ever agree to. They still haven’t authorized the correct repair, and we’re now stuck without a vehicle.

We’ve already used all the rental reimbursement in the first week, and now we have no loaner and no fix in sight. Meanwhile, Carvana is nowhere to be found—no follow-up, no help, just a shrug after selling us a defective vehicle backed by a useless warranty. This experience has been completely unprofessional and stressful. Carvana talks a big game about convenience and peace of mind, but the moment something goes wrong, you’re on your own. Avoid Carvana—and definitely avoid SilverRock.

Hello Carvana, I really like the car that was delivered to but there are a few things wrong with the car such as the bottom front undercarriage has been damaged when the car was delivered I believe from the loading and unloading of the car on your transport vehicle. Also the air conditioning evaporating coil is leaking back into the passenger floor at very rapid rate and has the front passenger floor extremely wet and will not dry because every time I use the air conditioner it breaks and keeps the floor very wet. Can you please tell me what needs to be done in order to repair these issues?... Thank you.

I recently purchased a vehicle through this online platform, and overall, the process was straightforward and efficient. The website was user-friendly and well-designed, making it easy to navigate through the various listings. I especially appreciated the filtering tools, which allowed me to narrow down my search by make, model, price range, mileage, and other key features. Accessing detailed information about each vehicle was seamless, and the site provided everything I needed to feel informed and confident in my selection.

My only concern—and it’s a fairly significant one—was with the accuracy of the vehicle photos. The vehicle I received did not match the pictures displayed in its online profile. While the make, model, and specs were correct, there were noticeable cosmetic differences that made me question the reliability of the listing images. This was disappointing, as the photos are a major part of what builds trust in an online vehicle purchase. My only disappointment- windshield was delivered with a large star shaped crack on passenger side and Silverrock informed us it was not something I could submit through them for repair.

The process of finding and purchasing a car through Carvana was initially smooth. The website was easy to navigate, and the delivery went as scheduled. However, things quickly unraveled after the car arrived. Wanting to be thorough, I had the vehicle independently inspected during the return window. To my shock, the rear tires were 12 years old and visibly dry-rotting, and the front driver’s side tire had a slow leak. These are basic safety concerns that should have been caught in any legitimate pre-sale inspection.

Trying to get support was incredibly frustrating. Carvana is nearly impossible to contact directly—long phone holds, automated responses, and impersonal text messages make the process feel like a runaround. I was told to take the car to an “authorized” repair shop for tire evaluation and that their warranty company would handle it. That led nowhere—the shop had no clue what I was talking about, and I couldn’t reach the warranty provider either.

After wasting more time on the phone, I physically drove to a local Carvana location. I was told it was appointment only and no one could help me—but fortunately, a kind employee and manager did come out. They agreed the tires were in bad shape, but said they were “technically within acceptable range” (again—12 years old). I was told the warranty would not cover replacement or repairs and that returning the car was my only real option.

Bottom line: Carvana’s “inspection standards” are not aligned with normal expectations of safety or service. I paid well above KBB value for low mileage, and was willing to accept that tradeoff—but not at the expense of safety and integrity. Between the poor communication, lack of accountability, and disappointing quality of inspection, I will never do business with Carvana again.
