All I can say is that they are amazing! I'm loving my Drop Top Camaro. The buy was very easy absolutely no hassle and the guy that brought my car to me was so down to earth and funny. Carvana made me feel like family and I recommend them to anyone.

My review starts with a story... I purchased a vehicle from Carvana last year which I loved. Unfortunately, on June 27th we ended up totaling that vehicle due hydroplaning in a severe downpour. We rented a vehicle to get back home 3 hours away. With the upcoming week being 4th of July, it took longer than normal to find out the condition of my vehicle. I already had a trip planned 4 hours away and had to take the rental vehicle. I found out the day before I left that the vehicle was totaled.
Then while driving I received a notification letting me know I needed to return the rental car in 3 days! I had already begun my search on Carvana but didn't know how to get it! Turns out they delivered it to my hotel for me! I did everything I needed to do from my hotel room. I was able to return the rental car on time then drive my "new" car home from my trip! This would NEVER have happened just a few short years ago. I am so grateful for Carvana and the ease in which I was able to purchase my vehicle.

Okay so I was looking for a 2023 chevy camaro zl1 manual. Took over 6 months to find one in the color and condition I was looking for. Finally came across the one I bought from Carvana that was the exact thing I was looking for with only 3900 miles for a price under my budget so I went for it. The minimum down-payment I had to put down was insane. I had to put much more down than I had anticipated. I also was trading my other vehicle, a 2023 gr86 to them to use it on this purchase. They gave me 26k and some change for it which I originally bought it new for 30k in late 2023 with maybe 2 miles on it. They are now reselling that car for almost 33k with 21k miles on it. So in essence they are ripping someone off but hey at least it wasn't me this time. So when I got the car I was super excited then I got less excited. I had it delivered to my house.
The driver parked on the street instead of the 300 plus foot driveway I had. So the exchange was very easy and given that both cars were manuals the driver dropping and picking up had not even a slight clue how to drive one so I witness him burn the clutch on the car I was trading in. I told him to get out and I parked it on the flat bed for him which I'm pretty sure that is against carvana's rules but I had to. So now the delivery guy is gone and I've got the car.
First off the car had a anti theft system on it that I was COMPLETELY unaware of. The was the biggest thing among a bunch of other things I found out about that car that they didn't tell me about. The exterior of the car was clean from a distance but up close in crevices and under certain spots were pools of dried wax, noticeable enough that my whole family saw them without me pointing them out. The interior was okay to say the best. There were multiples stains in the back seats and on the center console. Looked like 5 layers of dust on the dash, cluster and back of headrests. Don't know if that means it was sitting for a long time or what.
Ended up taking the car to a verified Chevy dealer the very next day because nobody should take carvana's or any other used car dealership's word on "the car is in great shape". Given that it was the last year they made the camaro it has only 2 owners before me and only 3900 miles I was hoping it'd be fine which the clear confirmed that it was and there were no signs of abuse or unexpected wear. Also no modifications. I was relieved.
I had planned to file return that day if it had not checked out. All in all I was the absolute first person in my entire extended and immediate family to use carvana and I also have no other peers that has tried carvana either so I really had no idea what to expect. 3 out of 5 stars. 1 for the cleanliness of the car when it arrived. 2nd star for the weird delivery and unexpected things with the car I was not told about. I should have saved shots of the stains and stuff but of course I didn't because I wanted to clean it as quickly as possible. I want to say generally I would not recommend this but there are just some things you need to know about it before you try them, so it'd be more of a yes but but with caution type of recommendation.

It was a great pleasure working with Carvana. Customer support was friendly and helpful every step of the way. They helped when the terms changed and gave me a window to provide payment for the vehicle. It was my dream car and they helped me get it. Delivery was smooth and the Heather was incredibly helpful.

Terrible communication and experience. Your advocates play the game of guessing you to death and telling you that they are taking care of things and promised that they will call you back and then once you’re off the phone with them it is a radio silence. I originally got a Honda that was all rusted. It was definitely in a flood. I then set up an exchange that ended up getting delayed for two weeks because there was a paperwork confusion. This entire confusion was because of a lack of communication between advocates no one ever gets back to me for the past week.
I’ve been dealing with an incorrect odometer reading write up on my DMV paperwork I have called several times this week each time I’m told they will promise. They will call me back and they never do. I even spoke to a senior advocate on Thursday who promised that they would call me back and they never did. I realize now that Carvana gaslight you with friendly and enthusiastic phone call advocate, but when it comes down to it. They don’t care about their customers.

I purchased a 2025 Hyundai Kona from Carvana with full factory warranty and it was disclosed that the vehicle had been in a minor accident. What was not disclosed is that none of the repairs that should have been done to make the vehicle whole again was done. I took the vehicle to the local dealer for what I thought would be warranty work only to find that the faulty air flap would not be covered under warranty due to all the missing and broken parts from said accident. I reached out to Carvana and was assured they would make things right. Every employee I had contact with agreed after seeing the pictures that the vehicle should not have been sold and at $24k at that.
After sending many documents and pictures carvana made the decision that they would do nothing. I was going to trade the vehicle in with them and was originally offered $20k on a vehicle i purchased 90 days previous for $24k however after the decision was made the trade value went to $12800... Big scam and instead of doing what is right they decided to wash there hands of the situation. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS. You are safer going to the local buy here pay here as they will ensure the vehicle operates so you continue to pay... To be told a vehicle I purchased from them 3 months previous for $24k is now worth $12800 tells you they are scam artist. Take it for what it is worth and by from your local dealer.. Do get wrapped up in the fact that they will make it convenient and drop off a lemon of a vehicle...

I wanted to sell an old car and I accepted Carvana’s online offer. It was more than 20 years old, and my state will not issue a title for a car that old. The DMV told me I could sell it with just my registration. So I called customer service to explain that and I was told it was fine, they would buy my car. I went to my appointment the following morning and after waiting some time, a salesperson approached me. I smiled at her but she did not smile back, she just said, "Give me your title." So I explained I had none but my registration would suffice, and I said I was told so by Carvana customer service on the phone. She said, "No, they told you the wrong thing," and I said, "I think you are mistaken." She then turned and walked away, saying nothing.
I called the 800 number to ask for help and she did, too, but I hung up with mine to make it less confusing. I explained my situation on the phone and the person there put me on hold to check with leadership, she said. After a long wait, the salesperson walked near me with her phone in her hand and I could hear the woman on the phone saying, "Sorry, we cannot buy your car."
While she was still explaining it to me, the salesperson turned and walked away from me, went through a door and closed it - without speaking to me. Her behavior was weirdly peevish and unmistakably rude. She never said a kind or a professional word to me, she just glared at me and retreated. I spoke to another employee about her unkind behavior, but he said almost nothing to me. I was calm and respectful the whole time while my time was being wasted, and she had no good reason to treat me so poorly. After leaving, I called customer service again and reported the rudeness. The people on the phone seemed nicer. Carvana needs to better train their sales staff, instructing them to be courteous and kind.

I ordered a 2020 silver Ford Mustang. It was delivered in a timely manner however there was lots of paint damage that was not disclosed in the photos. I made a phone call and spoke to Fausto and he helped me find a 2019 Mustang convertible that was an excellent condition. They brought me the replacement car within three days with no issues at all. My experience with Carvana has been great. I have purchased five cars from them and sold them one. I do recommend this company.

Here's a more polished and impactful version of your review while keeping your frustration clear: **Carvana is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with.** The entire experience felt incredibly frustrating. They collected all of my personal information, only to tell me they needed to verify a previous address from my credit report. I provided the exact address, and they still insisted it was incorrect.
I've lived at that address for over **seven years**. During that time, I've opened multiple credit cards, financed vehicles, and have never had an issue verifying my identity anywhere else. Yet somehow Carvana couldn't verify information that every other lender and financial institution has had no problem confirming. The process felt disorganized, time-consuming, and completely unreasonable. If you're going to collect someone's personal information, you should have a reliable verification process in place instead of sending customers in circles. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Carvana to anyone. It was an absolute waste of time.

Here are things they were not upfront about: the delivery time can change. I wanted a car before the 20th (shopping on the 14th) and chose one that was marked "as soon as the 16th". After going through all the steps, the final delivery date was moved to the 21st. There should have been a cancel button available right here. They also provide no way of using your own insurance (at least not electronically), so you find out at the end that you have to sign up for their insurance. I have platinum rating for my insurance, I am not using someone else. And now, I have to wait 10-15 days for my money to be back in my account, despite the fact that they were able to pull it in minutes! STAY AWAY!!

You didn’t just drop the ball — you launched it off a cliff. I’ve spent $50–60k on vehicles with you, including a 2019 GMC Yukon SLT literally two weeks ago, and the chaos I’ve dealt with since is unbelievable. Four cars, constant delays, excuses stacked on excuses, and outright gaslighting. Your own staff admitted things were messed up, yet nothing was fixed. Your “zero stress, easy process” core value is a joke. After what I just went through, traditional dealerships are easier, more honest, and more reliable than Carvana. That alone should embarrass you.
One employee tried to help, but even he didn’t care enough to actually resolve the problem. All I asked for was a real solution today — for your company to make this deal right — and you still failed. You didn’t just drop the ball; you spilled every marble across the floor and walked away. You’ve lost my trust, my business, and any future revenue you could have earned from me. I guarantee this experience cost you at least a million dollars in future acquisitions. Customer service, reliability, and accountability are dead at Carvana, and you proved it. I’m beyond disappointed. You’ve lost a customer for life, and my testimony will be shared everywhere it can be heard. I’ve already contacted counsel. You had your opportunity to do good business.

Had been contemplating giving Carvana a try and found it pretty straight forward. Either you buy it, or you don’t. 150 point pre-sale inspection, oil change, etc. before it's listed. 2 finance options of either through them, or your own financing or cash payment. I did down payment + my own financing with a trade-in of my older car. Advice is get pre-approved and shop accordingly. Once decided all documentation is done online via virtual signatures. You set an appointment for pickup at a local venue/kiosk OR for X bucks have it delivered. I chose drive my trade-in and pickup then back home.
Allow couple days for processing. If you don’t the dealership pressures and inflated pricing. Carvana amongst a couple other online options, makes a great alternative. So far I’m totally satisfied with the experience, and my vehicle. The only irritant were the numerous reminder calls each by a different person.

Upon delivery of my vehicle the delivery agent found a flaw with the locking mechanism of an aftermarket tonneau cover which appears to be newly installed. Carvana approved the repair but their repair agent (Maaco) was unable to source the required part. I called the cover manufacturer and confirmed this. Carvana said they would replace the cover but only with a less expensive and inferior product. I objected but was basically told to “kiss off”. What to do but hold my nose and write this review.

Pros: I enjoyed the ability to sort through 1000s of vehicles online, and was able to find a vehicle that fit my needs in terms of make/model/mileage/ features/pricing without having to haggle with a dealer.
Cons: 1) Delivery was pushed back a day last minute and I had to change my work schedule which caused some stress. This was the more minor issue.
2) I did an independent inspection to verify the vehicle condition, and the mechanic said it likely would not have passed due to significant rust underneath with a small hole in the frame. I decided to NOT return the car within the 7-day window because I didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning and still needing to find another vehicle. My purchased vehicle was in good condition other than the rust, and I plan on doing the repairs (estimated $2,500) to extend the life of the vehicle.
I wish Carvana would show pictures of the undercarriage to be fully transparent. Even though I have the limited 100 day warranty, rust is not covered under the warranty. I feel this is a little bit misleading because Carvana indicates the vehicle passed their inspection, but the rust was definitely present before I received it, and now I will have to pay out of pocket for the vehicle to be in safe driving condition.

This was my 3rd car purchase and a very disappointing experience. The first car I picked had a mechanical issue that need to be repaired and would have delayed the delivery date. So I cancelled the order and picked another car which I had to pay additional shipping fees. The second car I picked was delivered and the Carvana rep who delivered the car left before I finished the test drive. During the test drive the car was making a loud noise when braking. Also the car did not have and caps on all four tire valves. I called carvana to let them know of the issues and the rep told me to take the car to the BMW dealership and have the dealership call Silver rock to file a claim. Bmw dealership inspected the car and found damage to a wheel baring, rotors that were bad and failing and worn out brake pads. Also the wheels were painted over to cover damage to them.
Also some kind of oil was applied to the wheels brakes and rotors to cover damage and rust. The bmw dealership provided a video of their findings that I still have. Silver rock advised they would cover the wheel baring, and rotors. But would not cover the cost for brakes and on top of that told me that I had to pay a 350 dollar deductible since the bmw dealership was out of network. I was sent directly to the bmw dealership at the direction of a carvana rep. And I have the email from the rep to prove this. I called carvana to see if they could have the deductible waived due to their error. And a supervisor named Brad down played the issues and how the inspection process failed and carvana greenlighted a car for sale with obvious problems and defects. He offered to refund me money by check to cover the decuctible of 350 and 150 to go towards the brakes.
The price to replace bmw brake pads is over 300 dollars. He was like well the issues are being addressed and there is nothing more to be done. It's crazy because I did not even have the car for 2 days before it had to be repaired. I was then out of a car for 4 days having to pay for Ubers or get rides from family. This raises concerns about how safe these cars are that carvana is selling. The car I received had problems and should not have been cleared as inspected and safe to sell or drive. This was 3rd purchase with carvana and likely to be my last.

As I attempted to sell my 2011 Subaru Legacy 2.5i premium with all the upgrades, I was offered 1300 dollars, and told this was based on its value nationwide using an algorithm. Upon doing research on what Carvava sells these for I see that what they say it's worth is nothing close to the offer and it is not based on current or even past sales. They just want to get the vehicle for as cheap as possible for maximum profits. They are selling cars in this same condition with around the same miles for $13,990, $15,990, and up. The Carfax of my vehicle is flawless. The previous owner got oil changes exactly when needed and recommended, tune ups when suggested, changed air filter when suggested, anything suggested was done and that reflection is on the Carfax.
Also, I was told by AI it's based on its accident history, there is none. So, they are manipulating the market to obtain something of value at a much much lower cost than what it is actually worth. I believe they need to be held accountable for this and I intend to do so. Maybe small claims for market manipulating. Below you will see they sell these same vehicles in the condition mine is in for over 13k. Also attached is photos of mine.

The buying experience was excellent! We found the perfect vehicle and it was a breeze to purchase. The vehicle was waiting for us, just as it was pictured online - no surprises. We found an immediate issue with the vehicle, and the agent recommended that we file a claim through the warranty. We took it in for an estimate and for a general inspection, where another issue was found. The repairs were done under warranty, no problem. No haggling. It took a month for the repairs to get done because the warranty company took a week to approve the repairs and the auto shop ordered the wrong part. On 3 JUL 2026, we had picked up our vehicle and upon the ride back to our home we noticed something severely wrong with the tires of being unstable. Immediately informed Carvana and got in touch with Silver Rock. They referred us to Firestone which the next day the balance and alignment were fine and couldn’t find the issue. Called Silver Rock again and allowed us by referral to be seen at the dealership. At 0900, after my husband completed his procedure at the hospital, we believed this was a simple process. This vehicle was being sold with bad tires and it is not our fault. To our complete surprise, we were at the dealer for over 5 hours, being informed it may be over 24 hours for a decision, being told you may need to exchange (I told them, "I’m happy with the vehicle. Why is the option for exchange? Is it because you don’t want to cover new tires??"). The tires were considered undriveable and safety hazard.
That is a question upon selling your vehicle about tires in which Carvana failed to identify. We were extremely frustrated and it took the Volvo service tech and manager stating “You should do better. These customers have been here over 5 hours”. Ultimately it was finally approved but both my wife and I were on the phones from being hung up on to just wait (this is close to closing time for the dealer). We were told to get possibly a rental in which they did not have and this is our primary vehicle for the family!!! I have bought 3 other vehicles with Carvana without issue to include working with Silver Rock with absolutely no issues.
This is the FIRST time to go through this process and makes me doubt the efficiency and care to really take a look of vehicles being sold to making them available to sell. Safety hazard could have been life altering in which we had no idea. The entire 7 days were used to fix this issue! I was disconnected a few times from Silver Rock cause there were no explanation and honestly no sense of urgency to resolve knowing we were waiting that long. I am extremely disappointed with this vehicle purchase and truly Silver Rock's process of resolution. I am thankful we did not get the warranty for purchase and may be our last to buy from Carvana given how we were handled.

My experience with Carvana has been extremely disappointing, and I would urge anyone considering buying from them to proceed with caution. I purchased a truck that was supposedly put through Carvana's "rigorous 150-point inspection." However, I quickly discovered that all four tires were completely worn out and needed immediate replacement. This is especially concerning because their inspection checklist includes multiple tire-related inspection points (items 23–25). It's difficult to understand how a vehicle with tires in this condition could have passed inspection.
After driving the truck only about 50 miles—while on my way to have the tires replaced—the check engine light came on. Based on the timing, I suspect the diagnostic trouble codes may have been cleared before the vehicle was sold, allowing the light to remain off just long enough to complete the sale. To make matters worse, Carvana's Executive Resolution Team has insisted that I drive the truck approximately two hours to one of their inspection locations before they will address the issue. Given the condition of the tires and the check engine light, I do not believe the vehicle is safe to drive that distance.
In my experience, Carvana has made it unnecessarily difficult to reach someone with the authority to resolve these issues. I expected the inspection process and customer support to provide peace of mind, but instead I was left with a vehicle that I believe should never have been delivered in its condition. Buyers should carefully inspect any vehicle they receive and be prepared to advocate for themselves if problems arise.

After owning my vehicle for a year, I can honestly say buying from Carvana has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had. In 2025, I purchased a 2017 Ford F-150 XLT, and the problems started immediately. The truck had a water leak that allowed rainwater into the cab from day one. Carvana initially voided my warranty, and it took filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau before they finally reinstated it. During that process, I was transferred from one representative to another with no real answers or accountability. I was repeatedly assured that water getting into the wiring wouldn't cause any problems, yet I've dealt with electrical issues ever since. For all the inconvenience, Carvana sent me a $250 check.
The truck also had an engine rattle when I received it. I took it to a Ford dealership under Carvana's warranty, where technicians diagnosed failed cam phasers, gears, and other engine components. Even with the warranty, I still had to pay over $1,500 out of pocket because Carvana refused to cover certain parts required for the repair. Since then, Ford has confirmed additional issues that existed before I ever bought the truck. I'm also still dealing with the water leak every time it rains, and no one has been able to determine where it's coming from.
I've been paying $840 a month for a truck that has spent more time in repair shops than in my driveway. Carvana advertises a 250-point inspection, but based on my experience, I seriously question whether it was performed thoroughly. A vehicle with this many pre-existing problems should never have passed inspection. I cannot recommend Carvana to anyone. If you're considering buying from them, understand that you could end up making monthly payments on a vehicle that's constantly in the shop while also paying thousands of dollars for repairs. My experience has been an absolute nightmare, and I deeply regret trusting Carvana.

I know the world is perfect, especially when buying a used vehicle. My experience so far has been the easiest. My truck had an engine light come on 2 days after I took delivery but Carvana took care of me and got me back on the road in no time. Sure it took a few days but all parties did their due diligence and that to me speaks volumes. Will I buy again from Carvana? Yes!

The Carvana experience has been a disaster. I've had 3 carvana vehicles and everyone has been a lemon. I've had to deal with Silverrock twice now and have done two exchanges. Carvana's policies haven't helped me at all. Their policies benefit them and not the customer. Silverrock is also impossible to deal with. I went to carvana to help with my car problems it has done nothing but add to them.

The experience was very easy, I got the exact car I wanted. The only problem was the window tint was too dark and we had to remove it before it would pass my state inspection. It will cost me about $250 to have it replaced with a legal tint. That's disappointing for me.

This was my second Carvana purchase this month, having never purchased a car that had a prior owner. All said and done the experience was a 10/10, with but one issue that kind of surprised me. It would appear that both cars had tinted windows and Carvana needed to remove that tint. And, that was fine, but the removal actually left some traces of adhesive that were very hard to remove. We were successful in that removal, but do not think it should have been left to us. But, in the I recommend purchasing through Carvana WITHOUT RESERVATION.

I thought the process was easy and quick. My one negative critique is the car interior was really dirty. There was old food crumbs and coffee stains in the cup holders, hair on the carpet, and sticky goo from old windshield stickers not scraped off. Each cushion had crumbs and debris in the folds.

Delivery of the vehicle went well. The guy delivering it was very nice. The battery was dying in the key fob (which had the wrong battery inside). The trunk wouldn’t open with the fob and it took a couple of tries to unlock the door. Luckily,my husband had the correct battery in the house so we replaced it. On day 3 of having the car a warning popped up saying “restraint system “ and this warning disabled my air bags and made the steering wheel harder to turn and it told me to go to the nearest service center immediately.
I called Carvana and told them what happened, they directed me to take it to Pep boys and my car sat there all day Thursday because they don’t have the capability to run a diagnostic on the car. I called Carvana again and he transferred me to Silver Rock and I explained to them what happened and they told me to take it to the dealership to have it checked.
BMW ran a diagnostic and it came back with several codes that told what was all wrong with the vehicle. They ordered the necessary parts and I’m now waiting in the parts to come in to schedule an appointment. This is my 3rd vehicle that I bought from Carvana. The first vehicle I went and picked up in Columbus GA, drove it back home and it had a engine leak. I returned it and picked up another vehicle from GA and the mechanics didn’t top off the fluids so my husband had to get that done. I don’t think your mechanics are actually running a detailed diagnostic of these vehicles. It seems like Carvana is just buying cars cleaning them up and putting them up for sale.
My mom just received a vehicle last Friday from Carvana and once the delivery was complete we got in the car to drive it and it was making this LOUD noise while we were driving. Turns out the rim was bent and it was making the wheel squeak. If the technicians took the time to drive the car they would have heard the loud noise. Maybe someone needs to check after the technicians to make sure they are actually doing their jobs.

Experience was easy overall and convenient which is what Carvana is known for. It only took around 20 minutes from start to end to get my vehicle, including trade-in. However, I selected the car vending machine and did not receive the experience. My car was around back getting washed when I pulled up and when it was time to get the vehicle they just pulled it around front. The vending machine experience was not mentioned at all, and my car was not even in it when I got there. Very disappointing, if they had just said it wasn’t available or wasn’t working or something it would have been fine with me.

It was the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. The first car i wanted to purchase just stopped working on day 7. All the electronics stopped and then it wouldn’t start. I am a single mom and needed a reliable vehicle. They switched it out with a Chevy Equinox and it was damaged, smelled horrendous, it was so loud when I drove it that I couldn’t hear anything and then found out it had no blinkers so I couldn’t even drive it. Then I received the car I have still and it’s still awful.
Everything is rusted underneath. Again I am a single mom Who needs a vehicle and I don’t have a Silver Rock shop anywhere close to me to be able to drop it off to get it checked. So I’m stuck with a crap vehicle because I was out of options since they had already bought my vehicle. I will 100 percent never purchase here again. The only good thing I will say is almost everyone I spoke to customer service wise was excellent and showed a ton of empathy for my situation and tried to help to the best of their ability.

This is the 3rd car I've bought from Carvana and so far this one has been my worst experience. My first two cars were great, no problems, I even encouraged people to use their site because of how great it was. Had this been my first experience, I most likely would have never bought another car from them. This one came with MUCH more more damage on the car then shown on the website. On the website it listed two cosmetic issues, one if them being water spots, the other a scratch. When in actuality it has SIX cosmetic issues.
On day two of having the car I reached out and they told me instead of trading it in to submit a work order for repair. However they only let you submit three work orders and they denied two of them. I had more but they won't even let me submit them to be checked out, it just kept sending me to auto repair places near me. When your supposed to have seven days to just change your mind if you want, let alone actually have concerns. Needless to say, I'm not pleased. And it won't even let me upload photos to this review (I tried add some and even one picture says it exceeds maximum upload size). SMH!

They make a statement on Google that their advocate will pick up your car. THAT IS A LIE. Maybe before you push for payment, you should tell us that we have to drive the car over 500 miles. Second car was delivered with a bad AC. Took the second car to a different in-network shop the Silverrock supposedly works with, to be told by them that Silverrock is a pain in the A** to work with and that I have to leave them the car for 2 or 3 days. To be fair, many of the customer service representatives I spoke with were kind, patient, and genuinely tried to help. Unfortunately, they were limited by company policies that left me feeling like my concerns were never truly resolved. My experience left me questioning the quality of the inspection process and the company's commitment to standing behind the vehicles they sell. If you're considering buying from Carvana, I strongly recommend that you don't. It's in your best interest, and you will be saving yourself from so many hassles and from being swindled. I tried speaking to customer service and was told Carvana did nothing wrong, then I was told a manager would call me to hear me out, but that call never came. Then, when the car arrives it's vastly MORE damaged than its pictures originally showed online. Multiple paint chips, a broken seatbelt in the back seat, and the hard plastic interior was scratched and damaged as if the car was filled with a herd of goats. Missing Parts: Even a basic valve stem cover cap was missing from one of the tires. Filthy Condition: The vehicle was dirty inside and out. The inside of the windshield was covered in a thick, filthy film that made it impossible to see through safely without cleaning it first. To top it all off, the delivery driver actively fished for a tip upon arrival, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable and pressured into handing over a $20 tip just to get through the interaction. In addition to the transmission problems, the mechanic found multiple zip ties holding components together underneath the car, worn front and rear brake pads and rotors that needed replacement, a headlight assembly that needed to be replaced, a battery that failed testing, engine oil seepage, and a leaking strut. While Carvana agreed to take the vehicle back, the customer service that followed was just as disappointing. After I had already paid $690 toward the original purchase, they would not make any effort to expedite a replacement vehicle, would not waive the $250 shipping fee on another vehicle I found, even though it was more expensive than the first, and would not offer delivery of the replacement.

I was scheduled to pick up my car at 11:30 a.m. and had received two confirmation messages yesterday telling me everything was on track. Then, at 9:30 a.m.—just two hours before my appointment—I got a text saying it had been rescheduled again. Every time they apologize and promise the next date is real. Every time I believe them. At this point, I feel like a fool for continuing to trust their promises.
The worst part is that Carvana has had all of my money for nearly a month, while I've had no car. If I ask for a refund, they tell me it could take up to 15 days, which keeps convincing me to wait just a little longer instead of starting over somewhere else. Meanwhile, I've been without transportation since June, my money has been tied up the entire time, and I've even been paying insurance on a car I don't have.
Delays can happen, but repeatedly confirming appointments only to cancel them a couple of hours beforehand is unacceptable. I advised them that I would be leaving a negative review and that I couldn’t imagine that was worth the cost of the mats that should’ve came with a $43,000 car… Kevin just said “Sorry that’s not the response you wanted”. I took Delivery on Thursday at 5:00 PM and when reaching out the following Thursday at 8 AM (I’ve been out of town since), was told, "Sorry, seven days is up." The Math isn’t adding up…

I am extremely disappointed with Carvana and will never purchase another vehicle from them again. I have purchased five vehicles from Carvana over the years and considered myself a loyal customer. Unfortunately, this most recent experience has completely destroyed that trust. After I completed my purchase, took delivery of the vehicle, and the financing check was accepted and cashed, Carvana contacted me claiming that I owed an additional $2,665 due to an error in the transaction. The contract I signed showed a $0 cash down payment, and at no point before taking delivery was I told that additional money would be required.
When I explained that I am a single parent paying college expenses for two children and that my finances are carefully budgeted, Carvana showed absolutely no willingness to work with me. They refused to negotiate the amount, refused to offer installment payments, and even suggested that I take out another loan to cover what appears to be their own mistake. The fact that a company would advise a customer to take on additional debt to resolve an issue created after the sale is both irresponsible and unacceptable.
What makes this situation even worse is the complete lack of personal customer service. Communication has largely been through automated calls and emails rather than a knowledgeable representative willing to discuss the issue and help find a solution. As a customer who has purchased five vehicles from this company, I expected far better treatment. If there was an amount due, it should have been identified and explained before I picked up the vehicle and before the financing funds were accepted. Instead, I was presented with an unexpected bill weeks later that has created significant financial hardship for my family. Loyal customers apparently mean nothing to Carvana once the sale is complete. The convenience of online car buying is meaningless when the company refuses to stand behind its own paperwork and admit to mistakes they made.
Carvana has permanently lost my business. I will never purchase another vehicle from them, and I cannot recommend them to anyone after this experience. Anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Carvana should understand that even after the paperwork is signed, the vehicle is delivered, and the financing is complete, they may still be asked to pay additional money with little explanation, no willingness to work with the customer, and the threat of having your car repossessed.

Everything was smooth for the most part. Ordering of the vehicle pay off of my trade-in delivery, etc. My biggest problem and challenge was when you allow a purchase when somebody logged in with an Apple ID that has zero availability of an inbox for a email. I had a tough time getting that order notarized because the email doesn’t exist. You should have a warning or not allow Apple ID sign ins without a valid email. Fortunately, I already had an account from another purchase and I had to spend countless minutes on chat and discussing with people on the phone to get this email switched over for this one particular event. That was the single biggest hassle of the whole process. And it could have been simply avoided by not allowing me or warning me that Apple IDs do not receive associated emails to the purchase.

This was the best buying experience I've ever had. Just out of a bankruptcy and shopping for a vehicle was very frustrating... Other dealerships seemed to only be interested in taking full advantage of my Situation. They wanted huge down payments and high interest on high mileage vehicles.. I ain't giving up and decided to wait a while and then I came across Carvana. I still can't believe how simple it was.. Zero down on a great truck. An affordable payment as well. I just used the app and when it came time to get my truck, I chose to pick it up. I it literally took fifteen minutes. No joke. They had my truck ready and only needed to see my license and proof of insurance.
I did notice a rock chip on my windshield, they apologize and arranged for a new windshield to be installed at my home later that week.. All I can say is if you're looking for a vehicle at least check them out before you buy somewhere else... I love my truck and I find it hilarious that I have the truck I wanted and at terms I can afford. All the while still getting denial letters from banks and other dealerships a week later...

Be careful. Going in I had high regards for Carvana. The first car I got check engine light came on after day 1. The best thing about carvana is that 7 day return of exchange policy. 2nd car I really liked it so I kept it but all rotors and brakes needed to be changed. Two tires was just barely enough to pass inspection. So my 7 days is up I'm purchasing 4 new tires and all brakes and rotors. That inspection they say they did is not effective. The car shook bad when I applied the brakes other than that car was good so I'ma come out the pocket for brakes and tires myself. Highly disappointed. I just like the car that's why I'm keeping but I feel they are no different from your local used car dealer.

Later, they emailed me that they needed something further and I was given a deadline of following Monday at 6p.m. local time. However, I was away from my email that weekend so wasn't able to respond until they sent a text on that Monday. It wasn't clear exactly what had happened, but I had four hours to address it, so not an issue. I immediately went to the link provided by Carvana and was advised the truck had been sold to someone else. Period. End of story.
Per their own notifications, I had time remaining to take care of getting them what they needed. Horrible experience. No consideration offered. I finally asked that they cover the $100 fee to hold another vehicle that had come in and give me an opportunity to purchase what I was looking for. They denied this. They denied it! I find that unacceptable as they did not honor the time they had promised for me to meet their final requirements. A company that would do this to me is not a company I will choose to do any further business with. I thought it was a great place to purchase a vehicle, and found out the hard way that it IS NOT. Attached image shows what I was told. I clicked that link as soon as I was able, well before the deadline, and the vehicle was being purchased by someone else.

Carvana made the online buying process easy and delivery was on schedule, but the car arrived with issues that should have been caught before it was sold. I paid $250 for a dealership inspection and a $350 SilverRock deductible to fix a wheel bearing and a sunroof seal — both problems present on day one. Getting the repairs approved was unnecessarily difficult. SilverRock only covered the issues reluctantly, and only after several calls from me and additional calls from the Volvo service manager pushing for authorization. I also held off on the $279.99 software updates since they weren’t urgent, and because Carvana made it clear they wouldn’t reimburse that cost either.
If Carvana had been willing to compensate me for the unexpected expenses — the inspection, the deductible, and the software updates — I could genuinely recommend them. But the combination of hidden issues, out‑of‑pocket costs, and the amount of effort required to get basic repairs approved overshadowed the convenience of the buying process.

Carvana's promise is that each vehicle receives a 150 point inspection prior to delivery. There is no possible way this inspection was completed on my vehicle. The coolant was dangerously low. Oil needed to be changed the day I received the vehicle. The vehicle was and is still leaking oil. The wiper blades desperately need to be changed. When reaching out to customer service, I was told I can bring it in to a SilverRock shop for a service which is an inconvenience, due to the fact that these shops are at least an hour and a half from my home. I should not need to bring a vehicle that just had a 150 point inspection about a week ago, be serviced already.

I am beyond furious with my experience. Carvana advertised this vehicle as being in excellent condition, and the online photos showed no indication of significant damage. When the car was delivered, I immediately found hail damage, chipped paint, and other cosmetic issues that were absolutely not disclosed in the listing. When I pointed out the damage, the delivery driver assured me that if I signed for the vehicle, the repairs would be taken care of and that the process was simple. Trusting that promise was the biggest mistake I made. The driver took photos of the damage and documented everything before leaving.
What followed was a nightmare. I spent over 15 hours on the phone trying to get this resolved, only to receive a response claiming they “didn’t see the problem” and that the hail damage and chipped paint were considered normal wear and tear that did not need to be disclosed. That is completely unacceptable. Had I known Carvana would refuse to honor the promises made at delivery, I NEVER would have accepted this vehicle.
To make matters worse, I traded in my previous vehicle, which actually was in excellent condition. I deeply regret trusting Carvana and giving up a car I loved for this experience. My advice to anyone considering Carvana: BEWARE. Do not accept a vehicle based on promises that damage will be repaired later. Get everything in writing before signing anything. Once they have your signature, don’t expect them to stand behind what they told you. I feel completely misled and deceived. Huge regrets. Save yourself the frustration, wasted time, and disappointment. Go to a local dealership where you can inspect the vehicle in person before making such a major purchase.

Overall it was less hassle than a dealership. I placed my order on a Wednesday night between 8 and 9pm and got a call maybe 10 minutes after warning me that my purchase was about to expire because I needed to confirm I have insured the car I just purchased. I explained that not only was it 9pm but I just completed the purchase 10 minutes ago. I don't know if this is a bug in their system or if they really expected I'd have taken care of the insurance in 10 minutes but I can tell you that even if Liberty Mutual was open at that hour the process wouldn't have been done in 10 minutes if I had a representative sitting next to me on my couch.
I got on the task first thing the next morning and within an hour had Liberty Mutual working on it. The paperwork was missing info from Carvana so I played the back and forth because suddenly it wasn't an emergency on Carvana's end. It took most of the next day just to get the right info to Liberty Mutual. The car did come as described however the front brakes and rotors need to be replaced. Carvana might have checked it for "safety" but they didn't check it for quality. There also seems to be some white paint splatter on the driver side. We're hoping it buffs out. It wasn't there in the images so not sure where it came from.

Carvana tried to sell me an unsafe car with serious brake and rust issues, refused to fix them, and still kept the $1,000 shipping fee. Shortly after delivery, I discovered the brakes were dangerously ineffective and nearly caused an accident on the highway. A mechanic found heavily rusted rotors and significant rust underneath the car. Despite advertising a 100-day warranty, Carvana refused to repair the braking issue. Thankfully, I was still within the 7-day return window. However, Carvana would not refund the $1,000 shipping fee, and I was told I could not get my trade-in vehicle back.
When the driver arrived to pick up the car, he seemed unaware of the mechanic's findings and actually questioned me about whether the rust was a problem. He also failed to bring the check for my trade-in as previously agreed. When I asked about it, he repeatedly insisted there was no check and pointed at his iPad rather than trying to resolve the issue. Only after I demanded he call someone did he attempt to get help. At that point, Carvana had my trade-in, had taken back the car, and I still had no check. I was left $1,000 poorer, without my original vehicle, and with nothing to show for the experience except frustration and wasted time.
The only silver lining is that Carvana now has the mechanic's report I spent part of my weekend obtaining. Hopefully they use it to fix the brakes before someone gets hurt driving this lemon. I feel insulted and robbed. I would only recommend Carvana to someone I wanted to punish. Save yourself the frustration and expense and look elsewhere. When I finally decided on a vehicle to purchase from you, I went to my bank to inquire about financing for it, I returned home to purchase the vehicle only to find that during the hour I was gone, you raised the delivery fee $300. I suspect because you were alerted that a financial institution ran the VIN number and you knew that someone was about to purchase the vehicle. After much deliberation, I decided to purchase the vehicle anyway. During the purchasing process, you wanted to charge me $590 to deliver the vehicle for a 2 hour drive, so I decided to pick up the vehicle but you would not allow me to pick it up at the nearest dealership. Instead, I had to drive 2 1/2 hours to the dealership selected by your advocate.
On the drive home, the infotainment system completely began malfunctioning. I filed a claim with SilverRock and made an appointment with your approved mechanic. They said that the entire infotainment screen was bad and needed to be replaced, a $1,000 repair. I received a text from SilverRock a couple of days later stating that the repairs had been approved so I called your approved mechanic back to see if they had the part in yet and they told me that SilverRock had only approved about 80% of what the repairs were going to cost and I was responsible for the other $200 even though it states in the 100 day limited warranty that "The dealer will pay 100% of the labor and 100% of the parts for the covered systems that fail during the warranty period."
I suspect you knew the infotainment system needed to be repaired when you sold the vehicle but figured you could save $200 by repairing it through the warranty process by having me pay 20% of the repairs. This is day 10 of owning the vehicle and the part has not arrived at your approved mechanic so I have had a miserable driving experience without air conditioning, media, GPS, or any of the cabin controls that the infotainment system controls. I have to adjust the driver's seat and side view mirrors every time I enter the vehicle, which when I'm running errands is 6-10 times in one day because I cannot save a driver's profile. I don't even know if 90% of the cabin features work because they are controlled by the infotainment system. I do not trust Carvana, SilverRock, Bridgecrest, your approved mechanic, or anyone associated with Carvana and what's worse, is that I don't love, like, or trust the vehicle I purchased from you.

I take it in, I find out engine pieces are warping and or missing, the tires have almost no tread on them, and the brakes are going to have to be replaced ASAP. I admit some fault on my own for not immediately getting it inspected by a mechanic I trusted, but I should need a mechanic to take apart the engine just to look for missing parts. There is a missing sensor that was rigged with electric tape to function without it. Carvana wipes its hands clean once it's past their warranty so I will be paying an extra few thousand for only a few of those issues. Not easily missed things, but major transmission and coolant leaks. Carvana did allow me to extend the return period, while waiting to see how the warranty process would go, but that was the only remedy they themselves would do. The warranty covered less than half the cost, and did nothing for the tires.
Carvana customer service is easy to get a hold of, so that is a plus, but is either unwilling or "unable" to do anything additional to help fix their issues. The 150 point inspection in this case was either a complete fabrication or is not something a buyer should rely on at all. I spent the first week with the vehicle unable to drive it, and on the phone with Carvana. Every employee was kind to deal with; but they would rather suggest returning the vehicle than paying for tires that were unsafe to drive on at delivery.
10/10 ease of delivery and paperwork process. Competitive price for a relatively hard to find vehicle. Customer service who you can get ahold of. 0/10 willingness to correct misrepresented vehicle issues. 0/10 willingness to push their warranty partner or cover their shortcomings. 0/10 accountability for misrepresented vehicle and unsafe delivery conditions (outside of saying, go ahead and return it then).

I purchased a car a month ago with Carvana. The day they were supposed to deliver the car, they informed me that they were unable to deliver the vehicle due to delays with registration and pushed the date forward a week. This is the second time Carvana has left me without a car and made last minute changes to my order. This second time I even contacted them to ensure the delivery was still set for the following day. Never again will use this service. They are no better than sleazy car dealerships.

The vehicle is what I expected, good. The delivery driver was polite and professional. The service with a couple of issues was lackluster if not poor. We had an A/C problem discovered hours after receiving the car but they wanted us to take the vehicle 50 miles and leave it for several days to repair and would only offer reimbursement if the problem was approved afterwards. I took it to a shop locally and had the problem solved and back in 2 hours at my own expense, $245.00.

Bought a 2018 BMW. Carfax seemed clean. We were required to put a required down payment of $1700 and pay shipping costs sight unseen before we could even see, inspect or drive the car. Delivered was as planned on a Saturday. Was told ahead of time we could test drive, inspect, and for any reason we could refuse delivery and the transaction would be void. The driver, upon arrival, wouldn't take the car off the flatbed until we signed the registration documents. When I asked about the test drive, she told me they don't allow test drives and cited some kind of "Arizona rules prohibiting that".
We're in California, so I was never sure why Arizona came into play. She said she only has 20 minutes to deliver the car, and if we refused delivery, then the next appointment she had with someone else would need to be changed, as theirs was a pickup and she needed the flatbed for it. So, she needed us to sign the paperwork, and that's what the 7-day return is for, provided no more than 400 miles have been put on the car: "even if you didn't like the color, you could return or exchange it." She made sure to tell us that they filled the gas tank because it was empty. Didn't know that was a thing until reading other reviews on here that some didn't get their car with gas in it!
We noticed right off the bat that the front end and the hood of the car had a paint and texture mismatch (showroom finish on the bumper but dullness on the hood. So, right there, we knew something had been repaired and not reported. Anyhow, we drove it around town and wanted to see what was inside, so we pulled the manual out. The manual was musty, had mold on it, and all the pages stuck together as if they were dumped in a bucket of water at some point, and attempted to dry. We figured no big deal; we'll just buy a new manual.
While driving within 8 miles of taking delivery of the car, a code popped up on the dash: "Chassis Stabilization: Drive Moderately." We called Carvana immediately, and they opened a ticket with SilverRock under the 14-day $0-deductible warranty. They sent us a list of approved "in-network" mechanics near us, and one happened to be someone we trust and have used with our other cars. We asked about a dealer, but they told us that's "out of network and wouldn't really be needed unless something seriously wrong, and under the 150-point inspection that's done, it shouldn't be". The error code had since gone away and hadn't come back before we took the car to the mechanic.
Within 5 hours of being at the mechanic, I received a text and an email from SilverRock stating that they had authorized a dealer of our choice to take the car in for service and they'd waive the $350 out-of-network deductible". When picking up the car from the "in-network" mechanic. I asked them what they found that they weren't able to fix. THIRTEEN codes popped up on the diagnostic they did. All related to the transfer case/transmission, the ABS system (brakes) and the ECM (electrical components). All VERY important things with a car. A mechanic even from down the street was there at the shop also, and they all said the same exact thing: RETURN THE CAR!
When I looked up the codes myself, one of the major reasons those could have happened stood out to me: it said, "water damage". With the manual the way it was in the car and mud on some parts that wouldn't routinely have mud (crevices of the sunroof and under the hood of the car in pockets not exposed to elements), we're convinced the car was water damaged, cleaned up off the Carfax records, and the title, and then sold to us. We initiated a return the day after we took it to the mechanic, it was picked up yesterday, and the refund is in my account today.
I'm highly convinced that the car we purchased had its codes cleared in order to pass the smog inspection, in the hope that they wouldn't alert until after the return period was complete. That is an extremely poor business practice if that's really the case, and it's endangering people's lives and their families. Everyone was friendly, and my return process was quite easy, although I see not everyone has had that experience. I will NEVER buy another Carvana car, and this experience has tainted my view of non-dealership-related car purchases.

Don't expect a great Facebook or any other online review from me on selling my car today. It was a nightmare, which is still ongoing after your driver has been here for 2-1/2 hours! The car is loaded onto your truck, I have a check. The driver was very nice, but he just screwed up and locked the cards/keys and my check in the car and I couldn't help get into the car. After standing in the sun for over an hour, I gave up and retreated to inside my home. Carvana sent someone to bend the driver's window enough to activate the door latch. To think that I paid $290 for this pickup is outrageous, but my wife won't drive on the Interstate around here so, for a 20 mile drive, I paid for terrible service. I expected a full refund of that charge, as when I was working before retiring 11 years ago, my billing rate was $125/hr minimum for weekdays 8-5PM.
Carvana is compensating(?) me with a $50 refund, saying that they HAVE TO PAY their driver for his time (2-1/2+ HRS) and gas for all this time, caused solely by his error! And, this driver insisted that I include my mobile connector, which he INSISTED is the "charger". He finally left with the car, but the bad taste in my mouth and impression in my brain after standing outside in 92 degree heat, is not likely to leave me soon. I should have stayed with the trade in from Tesla, but at the last minute, Carvana upped their offer so I changed to them. MY MISTAKE, which I will never make again!

An absolute NIGHTMARE. To look at the vehicle 2020 Lincoln Nautilus, it's beautiful, very few scratches. Our attempt to purchase a 2022 Nautilus went well until the date of delivery (May 16th) and the driver ended up calling me to let me know that there was some damage to the bottom of the vehicle so we refused it after seeing the pictures of the damage. We later went back on the Carvana site and found another vehicle to swap it out with. Completed all of the paperwork and scheduled for it to be delivered on May 22nd. Received a call within an hour telling me that I needed to upload the insurance information for the swap out. I explained that I would get it on Monday because the agency was closed and the vehicle wasn't scheduled to be delivered until that Friday, the caller said that would be fine and we got off the phone.
I received several calls and texts that Monday the 18th about the missing insurance information and I had to keep explaining to them that the insurance company was working on switching out the policy. I stopped by the agency on Monday afternoon at 4:52pm, picked up the new binder information and uploaded it to the Carvana site at 5:15pm EST. I received another call at 6:42 pm EST stating that the information was received and after reviewing it everything was in order however he needed me to upload it again with all four corners visible and it needed to be uploaded by 8pm or it would cancel my upcoming Friday delivery.
I confirmed that they were on EST and asked him to give me a few minutes to get outside as I was as the nursing home with my mother. I walked outside at 6:47pm EST, uploaded the information with all four corners visible and went back in to the account to make sure it was there. I waited in the parking lot until 7:20pm EST just in case they called. Pulled into my driveway at 8:02pm EST with several texts stating that I had failed to upload the documents by 8pm EST and my delivery appointment had been cancelled.
I immediately called customer service and spoke with Shameka, once again confirmed they were on EST as she proceeded to tell me that I had not submitted the proper documents. She ended up getting our appointment rescheduled after several arguments back and forth and determining that the paperwork was in fact submitted on time and they failed to review it. Vehicle was delivered on May 22nd by Jaylen and Brandon and I will say they were amazing. We test drove the vehicle and it purred like a kitten.
On 6/1 I had to drive the vehicle to Columbia and noticed the vehicle skipping and shaking like it didn't want to go. Called SilverRock (another nightmare) on 6/3 to find out where to take it to be checked out. Our town only has two authorized locations. I scheduled an appointment for 6/6 to have a diagnostic scan done, however the manager(Bradley) of Firestone called on 6/4 to tell me that he would be short handed on that Saturday (6/6) and needed to move me to Sunday at 8am. I got there on Sunday and Bradley informed me that the only guy that knows how to submit the SilverRock claims had just called out sick about 15 minutes prior and they would not be able to service my vehicle. I then asked if as the manager did he not know how to submit the claim request and he told me NO. Our only other location is located on our local base and that requires military access in order to go to them for service.
I called SilverRock back on Monday 6/8 and spoke with Sophie, who then insisted that I drive it back to Columbia to Pep Boys to be inspected and have the diagnostic testing done, so I made an appointment with them to be there first thing Tuesday(6/9) morning. I checked in with Mike who quickly got someone on it. After they test drove it, they came back in and informed me that I needed to get it to a dealership immediately because it was the transmission and they don't service the transmissions. He stated he would have to call SilverRock back and let them know what was going on with the vehicle and recommend to them to either swap this vehicle out since we've only had it about 2 weeks or they can send authorization for it to go to a dealership for an estimate and repairs.
So now all we can do is sit and wait and NOT even drive the vehicle because the transmission can go out at any time. What started out as a Mother's Day gift from my husband has turned into a nightmare. This has been the worst experience ever, and I'll never ever purchase another vehicle from Carvana nor will I recommend them to anyone.

After 180 minutes on the phone between Drew N. and manager Sabrina, not one solution was offered. Drew confused ACH with a wire transfer, disconnected the call, and refused to let me speak to anyone else. Sabrina then cancelled my entire order — the exact opposite of what I asked.
Carvana is now holding $35,000 of my money for 10-15 business days on a transaction that never cleared, while earning interest on my funds as I have zero access to my own money. I escalated this directly to CEO Ernie Garcia by email and received no response. For a publicly traded company, this is deeply troubling — Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls exist precisely to prevent this kind of financial mishandling and lack of accountability. When I picked up the car, I walked around it with their advocate, who took detailed notes on every issue I pointed out. I spent the full week driving the car to make sure there were no other issues before submitting my claim. On Day 6 (5/12/26) I submitted through Carvana's platform and received a confirmation email stating I'd hear back within 48 hours. I never did.
When I called on 5/22/26 I spent 42 minutes on the phone being told no claim was on file and that the 7-day window had already passed. The representative's manager ultimately said nothing could be done because the chip was outside the driver's line of view. I have the confirmation email. I followed every step I was told to follow. Carvana's own return policy only requires the customer to make contact within 7 days — and I did, with written proof. Their failure to process and follow up on my claim should not fall on me as the customer. Spending this much money and being dismissed over a pre-existing defect I reported on time is deeply disappointing. I am now pursuing a formal dispute. Carvana's process for trading in and buying a car is flawed, and places financial burden on the buyer when things don't work out. In addition, Carvana offers little in the way of solutions, placing the burden again, on the buyer. Yes, the customer service reps were available, and the chat-bot (Sabastian) is actually helpful, but their ability to provide solutions is extremely limited, apparently by management.
Specifically: I purchased a CRV around May 4, and made an appointment to pick it up in Philadelphia (an hour from my house). I drove my (then) current car there & traded it in. I was aware I would not have the opportunity to get that car back, but I had wrongly assumed the car I was getting would be ok. It was not. See the photo of the mechanic's report - this car was in awful condition, and so I returned it (via a pick up)
I called customer service and arranged for the credit. During that, I found another car to my liking, and arranged to acquire it. I was told it would be available for pick up on May 14. That morning, 60 minutes before I was to leave to get it, I got an email saying it was delayed, and would be available on the 18th. I arranged for the new time, and also called to see why it was delayed. The customer service rep said she did not have, nor could get that information.
Monday morning the 18th, I again receive an email saying the car will not be ready until Thursday the 21st. I now called customer support and demanded to know why it was delayed, and was informed that it was due to waiting on new tires. So apparently, they do know why and hadn't disclosed this earlier? I then asked to speak to a supervisor and explained how these delays, which Carvana only notifies me of 2hrs before pick up, is causing me to find other forms of transportation at the last minute, at expense to me. I asked for free delivery, but he said he could only grant $250 off the total price.
You can only guess what happened on May 21st. I get a v/m at 8:01 saying the car isn't ready, and that maybe I ought to start looking for another car. I called customer service, asked for the supervisor, and explained the whole scenario. He replied that, because the v/m said I ought to look for another car, then perhaps there are more problems with the one I was trying to purchase that merely a flat tire. I wanted to speak with his supervisor at this point, but apparently he was the end of the line for customer contact. To his enormous credit (Joshua?), he spent time going through the current inventory to provide a solution, and we actually found a CRV that met my needs, bought it, and it was delivered the next day. However, I would think the delivery charge would have been waived at this point, but he said he was unable to do that, and apparently, I had no other channel to appeal. I was just happy to have a car, which is in good shape.
In summary, while I could see getting a "lemon" first time around, I cannot see the runaround I got when trying to get a replacement. Three delays, misdirection each time, feigned ignorance of why it was delayed or outright lying about its condition, do not make me confident about the type of training your people receive. Furthermore, it seems that management is too cowardly to get involved and hide behind the youngest, less experienced reps. Why this lack of transparency? Why the last minute appointment changes? Why is there no room for negotiation given to the customer service reps? Why is it hard to find someone who can actually fix the problem?

Carvana/SilverRock is addressing the damage but now I am out a car as they already took the trade in. Secondly, when I arrived at the Body shop, they informed me that the front end had been replaced and was not factory - this was not listed in the information on the vehicle. Thirdly, I had set a down payment on the vehicle, which mysteriously disappeared in the process and was not applied to the financing. In working with the lender there is nothing I can do at this point besides making a large principal payment that would have no impact to my monthly payments and would only shorten the length of the loan. Overall, the process was easy and convenient but had some major issues along the way.

The order and financing process was very simple. Pickup was also simple. When I picked up the car, I saw some very obvious and undisclosed damage. Carvana agreed to fix the damage. When I took it in for an estimate, there was additional damage that the body shop discovered. I also had a sensor fail within 2 weeks of purchase requiring a trip to the dealership for repair. Needless to say, I am really questioning the vehicle that I thought I loved.

First of all, it's no wonder all of the reviews on Carvana's website are good. I am actually a customer, and I cannot even leave a review on their website! So be cautious, because I'm not sure how people are "invited" to review, but I am NOT a happy customer so perhaps that's why I didn't get the invite.
Where to begin? To make a very long story short, purchasing a vehicle through Carvana has been a tremendous headache. They have made so many unfulfilled promises (such as delivery dates), the chat assistance is complete crap and stops responding to me, and JUST when you think you're finally done and the purchase is complete (I mean, they tell you "Congratulations! The car is yours!"), they come back with something else that they need.
I am paying CASH with a trade-in for a car, and I have never in my life had such a difficult time! You would think they'd want the money... I'm sure I'll be leaving a LOT out of this review to try to keep it short and to the point. But here is how my experience essentially went:
I chose a vehicle. Initially, I was going to finance it. I had the purchase (financing) and my trade-in all set up and ready to go. Clicked to confirm the purchase. Got a delivery date of 5/30. Perfect. Received an email from Carvana asking me to upload my title and other documents. I did. Received an email the next day and THE DAY BEFORE MY DELIVERY DATE telling me that my title is titled in the wrong state, and I need to upload a title from the correct state. Well. That's a mess! And not their fault at all. So I looked into this and discovered that I was now looking at probably 2 weeks before I'd have the correct title in my hands. I pushed out the delivery date to 6/12 and set up an appointment with the DMV and decided instead of financing to pay cash.
THEN, in another email on May 29, Carvana tells me that my documents (title and all) have been approved. Awesome! I went ahead and canceled the DMV appointment and rescheduled my delivery for 6/2. I can't even tell you how many "Woohoo! Marissa, your order just got approved!" and "Your appointment is rescheduled" emails I have in my inbox from Carvana. After all was said and done, when I finally PAID for the vehicle yesterday (6/1) in cash, the soonest delivery date that was available was 6/5. OK. I took it.
Keep in mind that Carvana requires you to provide proof of insurance PRIOR TO THEM DELIVERING YOUR CAR. What this means is that I have now added, removed, added, removed, added (and now need to again remove) the vehicle that I was purchasing on my policy. Currently, I am insuring a vehicle NOT in my possession (and which will never BE in my possession after today), and my own car is now not insured.
OK. So delivery will be 6/5. Alright. So I updated EVERYTHING I could think of. Toll tag info. Reservations for a ferry (with the car) that I have coming up in July. EVERYTHING has been updated with this other car's VIN. The purchase was made, the money was transferred to Carvana. I ordered a few things for the new car. Some of them arrived today (Amazon is fast).
I received an email from Carvana this morning advising that I needed to sign and have notarized a POA so that Carvana could "sign on my behalf" for registration etc., and did all of this through a Zoom call with an online notary per their instructions. (A notary working for them.) Good to go, right? You would think. But you'd be wrong.
This time I get a phone call from Carvana after 2 pm my time. I missed the call but the voicemail message said that they would not be able to deliver my car until they got the proper title. SERIOUSLY?!? THIS AGAIN???? I thought this had been resolved! And he further tells me in the voice mail (left after 2 pm) that I have until 5 PM MY TIME to take care of this!!!
I lost it. I started shaking with anger and frustration. IT WILL TAKE 2 WEEKS for me to HAVE A NEW TITLE in HAND. My title is GOOD, it's just that it's from the state I was living in when I purchased the vehicle, and I no longer live there. They need a title from THIS state. And I get that. That's fine. BUT DON'T TELL me EVERYTHING is APPROVED and GOOD TO GO, and then turn around and call me 3 HOURS before my DEADLINE to tell me everything is in fact NOT GOOD TO GO!!
But it gets better. I called immediately. It was about 2:30 my time when I called. I wanted to find out what options I had. Should I pull the trade-in out? What if I just sold my car to them outright? Here's what I was told: I could sell them my car outright with the title I have, but they wouldn't be able to get me the money for at least a few days (even with ACH). So that wouldn't work if I wanted to keep going with this purchase.
When the agent tried to see what the total would be without the trade-in, instead of giving me that information when he got back on the line, he got back on the line to tell me that by doing what he'd done, we lost my delivery date of 6/5, and the SOONEST we are looking at now is 6/8! We never even got into the details about how much more it would cost me without the trade-in. I was WAY TOO tired of dealing with them by this point. AND YET, IT STILL GETS BETTER.
So I finally told them to cancel my order. Here's me thinking, it took my bank ONE DAY to get $24k transferred to Carvana's bank. Surely, Carvana can refund me back by the end of the week so I can use that money to go purchase a car elsewhere!
HAHA. NOPE. It takes 10-15 - NOT from TODAY, but from the time "THEY RECEIVE THE CANCELLATION" (whatever that means) before they initiate the REFUND!!! So they are literally HOLDING ON to my money while I sit here without the car. I DESPISE this company. I HIGHLY recommend staying AWAY from them.

We placed an order for our 2023 Defender 90 S and planned on trading in our 2011 Honda CR-V as part of the deal. We had all the paperwork signed, and delivery was expected on May 22, 2026. At the last minute, my wife decided she wanted to be generous and see if we could change the deal so we would no longer trade in the Honda. She felt in her heart that we should donate it instead. The representative we worked with was very helpful and changed the deal for us at the last minute. We were hoping to beat the clock and still receive delivery of the Defender 90 that same day. We even came up with an additional $4,000, which was roughly the trade-in value we were receiving for the Honda, plus a little more. Unfortunately, we did not beat the clock and instead took delivery the next day, Saturday, May 23rd.
The part I struggle with, and the reason I called and spoke with representatives and managers, was what happened when I reviewed the “new” paperwork after revising the deal with more money down and no trade-in. The interest rate had gone up 3 points, and our payment was higher. As I mentioned, I contacted Carvana and spoke with a representative and the representative’s manager, only to be told that, sorry, it is what it is and it cannot be changed. We have purchased three or four other vehicles from Carvana in the past and truly feel it is a superior way to shop for and purchase cars. I would love to keep Carvana as my dealer of choice going forward, but the lack of flexibility here is disappointing. The fact that we chose to do a “better” thing and were penalized for it is quite disturbing and puts everything into question about the process.
It felt sneaky because I was not warned about the change, and due to the attempt at expediency, I overlooked it. Yes, that is my fault for not fully reading over every detail again, but I thought I was getting the same deal. I am left feeling a bit taken advantage of. I suppose the saying is true in many cases: “No good deed goes unpunished.” Please do what you like with this, but after seeing the opportunity to share my experience I felt it was important that you received my feedback. Thank you very much, Jason **.

We went to the Carvana lot instead of paying the extra for delivery. That part was easy, they gave us a decent amount of time to look over the vehicle and do a test drive. The advocate there was very nice and had no problem giving us time we needed. The problems we pointed out (tires were absolutely terrible on the vehicle) were not able to be dealt with at that time. We ended up doing the deal and drove home the next day (5/24/2026). The check engine light came on before we started back home (a 2 hour drive) and there was a popping noise coming from the front at low speed. We were able to secure an appointment to get the vehicle looked at locally thru SilverRock warranty that Carvana uses, this was 5/26/2026. It took longer than expected due to the shop's schedule but they actually covered the repair for the popping noise (just a loose sway bar) and even replaced the tires with the same brand YAY!
Problem is, the repair shop was unable to fix the check engine light. I made an appointment for a dealer at SilverRock's suggestion (5/28/2026) where it still is as of 6/2/2026. I reached out to Carvana to extend my 7 day trial as I basically drove the vehicle home and to the repair shop. They could only give me 2 days thru the chat but was supposed to send a request for more time. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. So now I'm stuck with this vehicle that has been sitting at repair shops for a week now.

First time purchasing a car fully online and I can't believe how easy it was! We chose to pickup at the San Jose location and Carl helped us. He was so great and had excellent customer service. He helped us with a little hiccup that the car software had and made sure we were good to go. He definitely went above and beyond and it was much appreciated. I will for sure be recommending Carvana to friends and family, and use them for future purchases. Oh and the car looked way prettier in person than the photos! Huge plus!

I am a disabled veteran 15 years of military service. I am currently a police officer 8 years of service. Carvana had my dream truck. I paid the shipping fee and the downpayment. Carvana shipped the truck. I waited 2 weeks. After two weeks I called Carvana to find out the vehicle was in Oklahoma. I volunteered to drive up and pick it up, however they assured me they would transport. Another week went by and the vehicle showed up. I drove 43 miles to location to pick up the vehicle. Upon arrival they said my trade in was being rejected. They said I could not pick the vehicle up on that day and would need to reapply. I contacted Carvana and they admitted the vehicle mileage had been entered into their system in error.
They told me the vehicle was no longer at the location and could not be purchased. The following day I received an email saying the vehicle was on its way. I called carvana and they said the vehicle had mechanical issues. Carvana then told me it was fixed and I could continue the purchase. The advocate was unable to adjust the trade in mileage. They told me it would be 48 hours before they could change the mileage. Once they did I could pick up the vehicle. I called back 48 hours later and they said it still was showing the incorrect mileage. The next day they called and said the mileage had been fixed.
I requested to have the advocate proceed with the purchase since I was already on the phone. The advocate then told me it would be an additional 8k to pick the vehicle up. Carvana advertises vehicles at false prices and then charges you downpayment and shipping and holds your money several weeks. After you are exhausted they raise the price and try to get you to chose another vehicle. As a veteran whom suffers from PTSD and a officer who willingly accepts community problems. It was extremely disheartening. Carvana is such a low agency. If you are someone looking to purchase do not purchase from Carvana unless you want them to choose the vehicle they want you to have. The vehicle you choose will just go back on their website for their next victim.

Horrible experience! The 2 employees at the Denver location did not show me how to operate the Tesla. They walked off, and I was left to figure it out by myself. I was driving the vehicle back to Montana. When I arrived to my first supercharger I was unable to charge the vehicle as they did not register it in my name. When I called Carvana, they pushed the issue off and told me I needed to call Tesla customer service. I called and was informed it could take up to 3 days before I can get the vehicle registered to me and only then could I charge. Luckily, Tesla customer service provided me with a world-class experience and was able to get it done in less than 5 hours. The car also gave me a low coolant warning on the screen. Still trying to figure out service and warranty with Carvanas 3rd party warranty and finding a service provider. I will never ever buy from this company again, and I will make sure none of my friends and family do either!

Wow, what a super easy experience. I was worried that the stated quality of the BMW was going to be worse when it actually showed up, but it was so much nicer I could not believe it! The car also is completely covered in PPI film, which was a nice surprise. Still smells new, even having 54k miles. Super easy experience with the vehicle drop off, and really liked having the 7-day test drive to make sure nothing went wrong after delivery. I try to never go to dealerships anymore, and normally go to CarMax or other "no haggle" locations, but they still try to pressure you into buying extended warranties and whatnot. Carvana, you don't even need to talk to anyone at all and can accept or reject whatever you want. Super enjoyable experience and recommend you try it for your next car!

When I received the Honda CRV, there was A LOT of scratches and marks on the car that were NOT disclosed on your website or pictures. For example, there is a huge scratch on the front hood from what looks like a tow truck back end hitting it. A lot of scratches all along the entire side of the vehicle. Even a few deep scratches that someone tried to touch up with paint that was not the same color black of the vehicle. It's worth mentioning when someone submits all of their documents before the cutoff time due, they get their vehicle on the delivery date as promised. Paying almost 600 bucks to have it delivered and it was pushed back 2 days because the paperwork was verified was not ok. Then no compensation or anything for it.

I initially took delivery of a 2021 Toyota Highlander, but unfortunately, it arrived with a noticeable, persistent odor. With a newborn son and a full house to transport, a clean and comfortable ride is completely non-negotiable for us. Carvana didn't miss a beat. They immediately arranged a hassle-free exchange for a pristine 2023 Highlander that ultimately ended up being a much better fit for our growing family's needs. Their team made what could have been a massive headache completely effortless. Their customer service is the absolute best in the business—responsive, understanding, and incredibly efficient. If you want a dealership alternative that truly stands behind its vehicles and prioritizes its buyers, look no further. I highly recommend them for a seamless car buying experience!

Wow, be sure about a trade. Once it is on the truck you can’t get it back. Even if you don’t want to accept the car they delivered! The car delivered was dirty, liquid stains on the carpet, a dirty hair brush in the truck, multiple items smashed into the holes of the seats that had to be scrubbed out. No floor mats. I called and said the deal was off. I didn’t want the car. I could not get my car back, it just left and was still on the delivery truck! I asked to meet the truck at the Carvana location and give the car back as I just wanted my car back. They said they owned it now and they could exchange the new car for another car, or give me money back, but I could never have my car back that they just took 10 minutes ago. What a shady operation.

First y'all show up with the vehicle I planned to buy with tires needing replacement, then you decide to throw a last min $700 shipping fee that wasn't there in the first place, which didn't allow me to continue with the purchase. Trust lost. Not to mention the unreal treatment I received from Elijah in chat. He was rude and short with me and then dipped out of the conversation leaving me hanging. So I cancelled. Now I am finding out that the 4k you took from my acct won't be returned for two weeks? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I do NOT recommend this company. They blatantly lied to me on the phone (which the Carvana tow driver confirmed because he was standing right next to me when this lady fed me lies). They are rude. They are dishonest. I would love to give 5 but I have to say 4 instead. I have 2 reasons, the 2 back tires were not the same size or type of tires that were on the front, this could have powertrain issues if left like that, we immediately bought 2 tires. Second reason is that the Jeep Gladiator did not have a good detail, we spent 3 hours the day we bought it getting all the mud and dirt off it and cleaning the inside too. There is no way the 150 point inspection was done, most items were covered in dirt and mud. I did like the ease of the purchase and it was the vehicle we were looking for with low miles and a good price.

Everything has been great as far as the delivery process and use of the app and the ordering process. The only issue I have is the scratches and wear and tear on this vehicle are the reason I’m returning it. I really like the car, but there’s more damage than what was shown in the pictures. I took it to a body shop and it would be 4 to 5K to fix it along with having to fix the curved wheels which weren’t in any of the damage pictures. If Carvana could help me address this through a shop that you all have ties with or some kind of credit off the purchase price to cover some of the repairs I would keep the car. If not, I understand, but I would say no one would want to spend 100 K on a car and it have the amount of unseen scratches and scuffs, and wear and tear that this one does. On top of that paying $290 for shipping when all the damage wasn’t shown is kind of discouraging.

I recently bought a car from Carvana, and what should have been an easy process turned into a stressful nightmare. 🚗 After a 2+ week delay, 20+ phone calls, conflicting information, and repeated promises that turned out to be false, I finally received my vehicle. My credit union overnighted a $35,000 check, yet I was repeatedly told I needed documents no one mentioned upfront or listed on my dashboard.
I was promised weekend delivery multiple times, only to find out later the department handling my purchase wasn’t even working weekends. Meanwhile, I was already paying insurance on a car I didn’t have. When the car finally arrived, there were issues not disclosed online: paint residue on the hood, windshield chips, dirty wheels, and even registration paperwork with the wrong name. The car also arrived with only half a tank of gas. Shoutout to the delivery driver for being kind, but overall this experience was frustrating, time-consuming, and disappointing—especially as a busy mom working 12-hour shifts. I expected better communication and honesty. Just sharing my experience so others know what to expect.
