I purchased my lifeline because in case I fall, I don't have anybody close by that I can deal with and I've fallen before, I had a couple of minor strokes also, so I worry about that. So far I just have to watch it so I don't trigger it automatically which is kind of a nuisance. Bending over seems to be a problem for triggering when I don't want it to. But I've been quite happy with Philips Lifeline.

I had two fall downs before I purchased the Philips Lifeline. I heard about it when I was in rehab following surgery. I got a brochure on it and I called and got in touch with them to try it out. I've had two fall downs since I purchased it and in one of the two events it helped me a lot. In the other event, I was able to get up on my own and didn't need any help. I noticed that I had to avoid it quite a bit. I set it off frequently and so I had to avoid wiping my chest. Sometimes if I spill food on my chest and go to wipe it off, it will set off the alarm. I've had as many as 7 or 8 false alarms that way. I think their staff are Red Cross members and they call immediately and response has been very good. I'd recommend.

I haven’t had to use it or anything about their medical alert technology, so I really haven’t had any experience. But, Philips Lifeline team let you know that they want you to respond. They’re very friendly. I would recommend them.

I'm 87 years old. I have about five major conditions and I live by myself. That's made me to purchase a medical device. I've had it before. I had it even when I was living with my two stepdaughters. I haven't had much experience with Philips Lifeline because I haven't had to use it much. I run a few tests about it and so far thank goodness. It's always been right on the moment at least. Their medical alert technology seems to be right on the ball. Whenever I run a test, there's always somebody right on the test. I haven't had actually used it for emergency yet.

Ordering process with Philips Lifeline was fine. Anybody that I talked to has always been very helpful and answered my questions right away and all that good stuff. Friendliness was very good. I would recommend Philips Lifeline. Experience with them has been very good.

I've had the Philips Lifeline before I moved here and I had thought maybe I would no longer use it but I still find it useful if I fall or have an accident. I can press the button and get response faster than I could. Here, they have two cords to pull but you're not always near them. When I did fall and break my hip, I could not reach the cord but I did press the button.

I wear the bracelet which loosens up from time to time. I don't wear it all the time. I take it off to sleep and keep it by my bed. The problem when you take it off is you may forget to put it back on again. I really don't think about it but I'm glad it's there because if there's an emergency, I can call them and they do call two of your children to let them know if they're going to the hospital. The other thing is they call me up once a month or every other month to make sure the device is working and that's important because, once a few years ago, they called me and it wasn't working and we didn't know it. That is useful.

The only negative thing I ever found was once when I lost it they had a really high charge to replace it, but eventually they didn't charge me that much money.

I've set off the Philips Lifeline a couple of times. I was shampooing my hair at the kitchen sink and I had it on, and I leaned over. Evidently it hit the metal corner and it went off. But they were right on the phone. They'd say, "Mrs. **, are you okay?" And I said, "It was me." So far, I've had no problems. I'm incapacitated. I had a stroke and cancer and then a herniated disk removed and a couple of bouts in rehab. My son was living with me but he moved back home, so I thought it might be a good idea. I've had it for quite a while. A friend had told me about it and she heard of it from her doctor.

Philip's Lifeline saved me once. I fell and I had to call. I don't know how they got here all so fast. The time I fell, by that time the police was here, the ambulance was here and they got me to the hospital quick. I'm satisfied with it. I wear it all the time. It's a wonder I haven't punched it in the bed because some of them take it and hang it on the bedpost or something but I just leave it on. Or if I go out, I take it off sometimes because I know it doesn't do me any good out.

I had a heart attack and had my Philips Lifeline since last December. My doctor and my daughter recommended that I get it so I got it. I probably wouldn't have bought it, purchase it, or rented it or whatever I could do except that my daughter was quite concerned. And it made her happier that I had it. It does give me a little bit of confidence because I do spend a lot of time at home. But it bothers me that when I'm out and about, I don't know how well it would work if I was 5 miles from home. Anyway I haven't had use for it but I'm lucky in that respect. The only time I used it was when I was mucking around and hit it by mistake. I got it on my wrist and I never think about it except when I put on a shirt or something and it's in the way again. However I wouldn't say that it's uncomfortable because I got a watch on the other arm and neither one of them seem to bother me.

Something went out and it just wasn't connected right somehow and it wasn't working. And then one of the gentlemen told me one of my lines was not connected right and he described which one I should use, the big heavy black one, and it started to work out okay. Anybody who wants to use it would be very satisfied with trying it out.

My sister-in-law insisted in me getting Philips Lifeline because there was this one time I fell and the only person I could call was her. I did not use any other medical alert service before that because I didn't have any problems; but all of a sudden I got a problem falling, so that’s why I agreed to get it.

I've used it twice, and twice it worked the way as it’s described to me. It fits into my everyday life. It’s comfortable and easy to use. I wear it on my wrist and its waterproof, so I don't even think about it unless somebody says, “What is that?” This system doesn't work very far outside the house. I keep the band on all the time but I don't expect it to go further than just around my yard.

Ordering it was no problem. The only other interaction I had with the Philips Lifeline team was when I was coming in from my car in the garage and I bought groceries in. All of a sudden the Lifeline started beeping, and so I answered the phone and said, “I don't know why that went off, because I didn't press it.” They said, “What were you doing?” I said, “I was just bringing groceries in,” and they said, “Well, that could push on it.” So I didn't know that. Overall, Philips Lifeline is dependable and they're satisfactory, as far as I'm concerned.

Well, very fortunately I haven't had to use it... to have anyone come or anything like that, so that's wonderful. But every now and again, I test my Philips Lifeline and it's fine. When I do test it, they come on very quickly and ask me if I need help and I say no. I really don't have any problem with it. Interacting with their team is great. It's totally worthwhile. My husband passed away six years ago and so my son didn't want me to live by myself, although I have wonderful neighbors. He just asked me to go ahead and order one Philips Lifeline and see how I liked it, and that's how I started with my help button. My son took care of it because he worries about me. I live alone, and I'm 93 years old, and he saw me doing my sheets and standing on a stepladder. I wear my Philips Lifeline all the time, except when I go to town. I wear it around the yard but I don't wear it when I'm going out. I've had very good luck; I've never really had to use it. Nothing has changed in my everyday life since wearing it. It's just been the same as always. I've never had any bad thing happen, just the normal.

I'm very fortunate to have lived this long and not be sick or have any problems. Maybe it's my Lifeline that makes me think I'm well-protected, I don't know. I'm very happy with my Lifeline. To check it out, they call me once a month. The voice will come on and then I push my little button and the other voice would come on and he'll say, "Do you have any problems, Mrs. **?" I'd say, "No, they're just testing." He'd say, "Okay," and then he hangs up. They're always very friendly and very nice. They're always here with me if I should ever need it. I have neighbors, but a lot of things can happen when your neighbors aren't around or they're out in town or something. My son ordered my Philips Lifeline. Whenever I'm by myself in the house, go to the mailbox, or had to leave the room or the house, I wear it. But I don't wear it around the house if they're with me in there. I'm not sure if I still have service when my telephone is out of order. I have had that experience several times now and usually at night. I see the reset button flashing and I have to reset it to let me know that my phone is disconnected. I have that problem of calling the company in the morning. They come in to see, and there's nothing wrong that they can find so I'm not a hundred percent covered.

The last time I had this problem and I did call to tell them because I was surprised, I got a lot of billing information. I was concerned because they were taking my time to let them know that my phone was not working and it turns out what I had to do was call Bright House but I had to tell them, too. My only concern is that I want to be covered a hundred percent by some way. If my phone is disconnected, I'm out. And of course it's only around my house so it's not like now they're advertising that you can wear it anywhere. They were offering that before. They say you can be overseas with it. If I leave the house, I don't have to wear it. Mine is strictly around the house.

The only thing is; I sit out on my front porch a lot and I don't know if they would hear me or it would go off inside. I don't walk around in my yard, but I could fall and they probably won't to talk to me when I fall.

Before Philips Lifeline, I was just worrying if I fell, no one will be able to hear me and I wouldn't be able to get to a phone in time. Someone came out and set it up. It took maybe less than 5 to 10 minutes to do it. He was really pleasant also. Now, I can get around the house a little more with less concern because I know where the Lifeline is located and then I have the pendant around my neck, so if I do have an accident, I can easily get help. It’s pretty easy to use. Overall, the customer service team, the friendliness of the people, ordering process and the medical alert technology has actually been really nice.

In 2010 I fell at my daughter’s and I broke my hip, fractured my hip. So my daughter wanted me to get this and while I was in the hospital or at the center, she calls lifeline and put it in service. I have been on it since then. I like Philips and forget that I have it except when I put on something that's tight and you can see it. I don't like that but I just ignore it.

I really have no problem with it and have had really no occasion to call. But at first when I would bend over, they'd call and want to know if I had fallen. And they used to call too to find out if it’s working right but I guess now they can keep track of it electronically. The only thing is, which I kind of wonder... I live in an apartment building... what happens if I fall when I go outside to the mailbox and such... It does carry a few feet from outside or upstairs and the way it is now, I like it, but I wouldn’t mind if it was farther.

One thing I will have to compliment them for is they replaced it when something was wrong with the machine. and the only thing I had against it was I figured that they were charging too high. I’ve told them it was too high. But they did lower it.

My Philips Lifeline is off. It says reset. I pressed the button and they said there's nothing wrong with it, but it still says reset. I'm wondering if it's going to come on or not if I press it. They called me back and told me it was okay but it's not okay, because I've had two falls already and ended up with strokes on both of them. I don't want to end up with a third stroke because it will probably kill me. They've been very prompt. Anytime I had to press the button, they were here in 5-10 minutes. I've only had to call them twice, but both times, they were great.

I forgot I had the Lifeline, and when I fell the first time, I called my daughter. I said, "I'm on the floor. I can't get up." I didn't get concerned until I fell the first time. I live alone but I live in a big complex, all seniors, so there is always someone to call in here. But I'd rather have professionals because my son-in-law came in and tried to pick me up the first time and he couldn't even move me, and, I'm not a heavy person. I said, "Don't bother. Wait till the men get here and let them do it because they know what they're doing." It has been of real help, just to know it’s on my wrist. I'm very independent. I do my own work now. I clean the house. I do the laundry and my own cooking. The Lifeline is a wonderful, wonderful thing because you know you have help right where you're standing. This thing is worth it. I've already recommended it to three different people and they all bought them. I’m thrilled that I've got the watch so that I can call somebody immediately when I have nobody.

Since I had the Philips Lifeline, I was never worried. Every time I needed to use it, I've gotten a response quickly. The Philips Lifeline team calls at least once a month to check up on me and they're extremely nice and friendly, but I wish they wouldn't call me in the middle of the night. The customer service team is the same, they're very good.

My husband had to stay at the VA nursing home. His illness progressed so quickly. It was quite awful. I was by myself and I had to have some way to get help when I needed it. I was taking a series of courses that my doctor recommended, learning to use my body better and my legs better in getting around. The medical alert technology is very well. It seems to help quite quickly. I would certainly recommend it to a friend. I think everybody should have one if they have no one at home like I do.

I've had some health problems were I've fallen and everything. And I can't get around that good so I have a girl come in to clean for me and others come in. And my daughter-in-law, she brings in food and helps me out there. Different things like that but we're getting along. I get around myself. I got my cart that I use to walk around so I don't fall or anything. Everything's going okay. They won't let me drive anymore and things like that but I get around my home. So I feel okay. I just can't do a lot of things that I used to do. But I'm getting up there as if too that doesn't help. They've always been really good when they've called in so I don't have problems. They did really good. They've always taken care of me if I needed any help.

The only experience with Philips Lifeline so far has been my accidental non-necessary, I’m just trying to figure out how to. But when you guys get the signal that something’s happening, maybe because I've been over too far or something; in other words, it’s all been fault experiences. But they answered it, talked to me and whatever. The only thing is this has always happened when I've been in the house and fairly near the monitor thing. So, I have no idea how well it’s going to work if I should fall outside or something. But so far, they've been very nice about it. All of it was my mistake. I bent over too fast and it slipped and bumped something on the way. So far, it’s very good. My husband doesn't have his anymore, because he’s in an assisted-living place, so he’s got a whole different thing to take care of him.

When I signed up for the Lifeline, I had not realized that you have some competitors which also cry for an extra fee. If you have a problem when you’re out somewhere, that seems almost impossible to me. Actually, I carry the cellphone with me, so if I should fall out in the middle of a parking lot somewhere, I can call 911. So, I’m not really planning to change or anything; I just said it was something I haven’t been aware of when I actually signed up for the Philips. No big deal.

If she was to fall or something, picking up the phone and calling up somebody just wouldn't be in her realm. Overall it's pretty good but I think recently, in the last two or three months, it seems that their response time is way slower than it used to be. My mother does the monthly checks but so far she hasn't had to use Philips Lifeline for an emergency. If she was really in need, in an emergency, they'd be too late. I had trouble with the button coming off of the cord so much and then I fell and hit my head. Since they were advertising new ones I thought it's time for me to get one for myself. So I changed and got the new unit.

I've had good experience with Philips Lifeline. I've fallen a number of times and they've always showed up quickly. And they do more than just "falling". Because one time I was sitting here in the dark and somebody was banging on my storm door and scared me to death. I just had to talk to somebody quick and so I pressed the button and talked to the girl. She said, "You want me to call the police?" and I said, "Yeah." So she did and the police were right here.

One time ADT came around and they said, "With Philips, if you needed help from the police, you wouldn't have any protection that way." And then I said, "Oh, yeah, I do!"

I've called and complained to Philips Lifeline that their advertising is incorrect. They always said, "If you fall, we will detect the fall", and then maybe in teeny-tiny letters, "95% of the time" except I don't think that's true because for a while, every time I've been down to pick up a paper or anything, it would immediately alert Lifeline and they'd call to see if I'd fallen, which I hadn't. But when I actually did fall and broke my hip, they didn't respond and I lay there deliberately because it said you have to lie there and not move and then they'll call you. They never called. I finally pushed the button and the ambulance came. So I haven't been happy about that and I've never felt really secured since then. I think they shouldn't mark it as such. They should not be quite so positive that if you fall, somebody will contact you because they don't.

I have recommended them but I told everybody that I'd referred to be sure that they know that it's not necessarily true that if you fall, they'll call you. So with that in mind, just be aware. Now, I know and I've also said to Lifeline that a lot of the other companies are doing GPS as well. When I've spoken to somebody there in Communications, they say they were working on it but they've been working on it forever so I don't know it they're ever going to do that or not. I know AAA and a whole bunch of other places do that. But I feel safer having it than not having it and I don't know if another company would be any better and it's easier just to keep it the way it is.

I have the Philips Lifeline and it has gone off a couple of times accidentally but I've never had to use it for an emergency, fortunately. I live alone most of the time and because of my age, I wanted it for emergencies. I live in a private community where we all have our own houses and we have a security office. They're very close to us but sometimes if you fall or something, you can't get the phone. You can use it and it works good. It's just a protective thing for me and when I take a shower, I put it outside the shower so I can have access to help right away. I'm very satisfied with it. The only thing is I'm getting a lot of information now. They have some that work in your car also while you're driving.

I've had pretty good luck with Philips Lifeline so far. It's the first time I've had one. The other day, my granddaughter got a hold of it. I was upstairs in the next apartment a day or two ago and the ambulance came down here. But a few years ago when I was outside, I pushed it and I got no response. The team has been very good. They've been very helpful. They check on it to see if its working about every month or so. I just had no problems with them whatsoever.

Before I got the alert system, I fell a lot but I was always somewhere that somebody was around. But I just wasn't as old as I am. I mainly got it when I got older. And now, I feel safer in the shower most of the time when I'm by myself. I have no problem wearing the button. I don't even hardly think about it really sometimes since I got it changed. But when I first got it, you barely touch it and it would go off but now it doesn't. When my granddaughter pushed it, the others came. Everything was fine and I'm happy with it.

I've returned my Philips Lifeline help button yesterday. My time was up. I had a notice to send it back. My experience interacting with the team was fine. Once or twice, I dropped it and then one time, I don't know what happened to it but it became unplugged from the wall and didn't record for that day. But everything else, most of it, seemed to be fine as far as I was concerned. I didn't have any trouble at all.

I fell once that's why I got the Philips Lifeline. I wear it all the time and haven't had to call. The only problem I had was I had to call because it took them about eight months to add the small refund that I had come in, and that wasn't a nice experience.

I used to fall and have to wait for somebody to come home before I got the Philips Lifeline. I try to be safer and now wear the device around my wrist, but it only works at the house. I really need it to work all over when I leave.

We got it for a family member who's an elderly (she's 93). She has had it for probably seven years. She has been here for five and she had it when she lived in Houston before she came to live with us. It is a comfort to know that she has it in case something happens, because there’s not someone here with her all the time.

It works well for us. I would recommend Philips Lifeline. It’s been a good experience every time we’ve ever had to speak with them. And although we've never had to use it in an emergency, every time that she checks it, everything seems to be really good.

The Philips Lifeline comes in very, very handy. I was alone when I fell and they were very, very helpful. It was more than once that I had to call. Before I had it, I wasn't able to get any help and have had quite a few falls. It was my fault. Now I have my security and I don't feel frightened anymore. I have a fear of falling all the time, and no one being there. I don't feel alone anymore. I would recommend it 100%.

I've never had to use it but it would be a handy thing I have it. I’m in senior living and it is part of what they put in when you move in your apartment. In the apartment here, you don’t have the worries. You know you have the Lifeline if you needed to use it. They call in at the end of the month and check that everything is working. They are very friendly and helpful, always want to be sure you’re all right. I've seen how they've helped others in apartments here that have needed to use them.

I'm doing fine with my Lifeline. When I speak with them they were friendly and helpful. I've always used Philips Lifeline as my medical alert service. I used it when I was real, real sick and it worked whenever I pushed it. My friend across the street was here quickly. Now I am not that sick, but I use it when my husband leaves the house for a while. I feel comfortable with having it.
