Life Alert called the emergency number for an ambulance. They stayed on the phone giving the EMT my health information. A great help. I tell all when asked. Bless all EMTs.

We ordered a Life Alert System for my mother after being repeatedly marketed to relentlessly by their sales people. When I spoke with them, they never mentioned a three year contract that I can recall. My mother does not remember signing a three year contract either. My mother moved into a senior retirement facility with home health care and a 24/7 emergency alert system. Because she does not wear a pendant around her neck, she is still required to keep the Life Alert system due to a three year contact. Also, her phone company is a cable provider, and the Life Alert system does not work with it the phone system. Even if we wanted to keep it, it doesn't work! Just to get out of the contract, they are charging her $200.

Mother is 92, and after falling in the bathroom found it impossible to get up. Life Alert’s response was very much appreciated. My brother and I were alerted right away. Thank you!

I contacted Life Alert after my mother suffered a stroke for additional information. What followed has been 4 weeks of daily, 3-5 calls/day and night, home and work sales calls. When I advised Life Alert I had gone with another company, they asked which one, for which I obliged Life Alert with the information and the extremely rude response was, "Well, THAT was a mistake" and I was hung up on. Considering the at risk population Life Alert claims to "serve" this was a very disturbing experience. I am just thankful it was me and not my mother trying to make and receive these calls. HORRIBLE SALES TACTICS.
