Scammers all around. We signed up for them at a Sam's Club, found out they lied about how much the cost was, canceled with them and went back to our old company, and they've been harassing us ever since. Constant phone calls and e-mails about how much we owe them even though we don't, and they can't charge us because after reading several reviews we decided to cancel the credit card we used to pay them and get a new one so they literally have no way to charge us.
They opened a line of credit in our name and then charged it as fraud, we're currently working with the credit companies to get it removed and will be contacting law enforcement about this as well. So many reviews of similar nature across platforms and we're just one case of the many unfortunate people who thought this company sounded good. Once they have your info it's over, they'll switch you without notice/asking and overcharge you and then make it an absolute nightmare to cancel short of paying them off and canceling the card you used for it. Don't go with these guys, just stay with whoever you have.

If I could go back I would prevent myself from ever dealing with Just Energy. They are not trustworthy, they lied to me and make me change service on a promise that my bill would be lower. Absolute lies. They even told me that I would receive credit towards my bill that they would cover my cancellation fee from my other provider. Complete lies. That never happened, they tricked me in a 60 months contract, I did not know that. And what’s worse to get out of their rip off contract it is 175 dollars. I've been having my own place for three years and I have never dealt with a dishonest company before. My first bill with them after switching $300 coming from a $250 and my last bill with them was $471, Outrageous! So think twice, do your research before dealing with them.

Been with this company for 2 years now and my bill suddenly started doubling every month for the last 3 months. Customer service is joke, offering no real resolution. To get an actual person to inspect the meter I’m potentially liable financially which feels very much like entrapment because in the meantime, I’m still responsible for paying this $344.57 bill for a small APARTMENT. Run, don’t walk away from this company because they legally steal your money and there’s nothing you can do until the contract expires which thankfully for me is in just a couple weeks.

Just Energy is one of the worst Energy company in the USA. It's because of the people they hire. I have turn this company into public commission 4 times. When they are wrong and the customer correct them they go out for revenge. I went through a program that paid Just Energy 419.00 on my bill which I was covered for two month. Just Energy took me through the unnecessary email me (lies) about my bill turning to get extra money from me. So when I corrected them the customer service rep got upset and sent me an email that I owe them 554.00 and my service will be disconnected. Get Cap program, paid them $419.00 which the bill was only $284.00 so there was funds left for the new bill due February 6, 2025 so I only owe just energy $135.23. So I spoke to Rita the customer service representative which was stated to me pay $67.61 of the $135 23 and paid the other half in 10 days.
I said (ok I agree). The rep stated, "Say yes or no." I stated yes but saying I agree is the same thing. It made the rep upset. She was rude and disrespectful. You shouldn't been in the business of communicating with people if you can't handle being corrected when you are wrong so the rep sent me a email stated "You owe (us) just energy 554.00" with her name on top of the email that was sent to me "Or you will be disconnected." I have every email, every text, every receipt, between myself and Just Energy Company. I don't trust this company. I tried calling, when I put in my account number the virtual assistant says the company is closed but it wasn't.
I have tried going online to see my bill. I can't get through. Just energy has block me for seeing my bill because of my reviews and contact public commission because of their failed communication and lies they are sending me about my bill (this is embezzlement). I owe this company nothing but $67.61 which is due on the 15th of February 2025. Hire adults and not children with attitudes with no experiences when it comes to dealing with the public.

I closed my account with Just energy 1 year ago. Paid everything, and because of an error or mistake on their system it showed that I owe them $194 even that I have a email from the company that my account is closed and paid off, nobody try to fix it and they just sent these amount the a collection.

My electric was shut off on a Saturday could not get ahold of anyone cause they are not open on weekends. Martin Luther King Day Monday so I called another company and had it turn on. Now Just energy wants a $175 early disconnection fee. They disconnect me. I never asked to be disconnected.

We have spoken with the customer and have provided a resolution. If customer has any questions, they can contact Just Energy directly.

My energy provider's rate is $2.46/unit but having an agreement with JustEnergy means I am paying $7.99/unit for gas. I called to cancel and they take their sweet time to cancel. They told me 60 days to cancel so I get to pay their exorbitant rate through the winter months. These people are not truthful and they take advantage of consumers. AVOID.

I signed up for Just Energy through Sam's club and I specifically told the sales Lady that I do not want to pay more which she assured me that I wouldn't. Well I got my first bill and it was double what I normally pay. It is so awful. I cancelled but I am out that money. I am so very disappointed.

Do not sign up for this provider. Your bill will be skyrocketed. Their rate in Michigan is $0.649 which is one of highest in the state. My bill went from a hundred and some change to three hundred dollars. They literally ripping me off.

I signed up for Just Energy at Sam's club when the agent was there. A particular point she made was that it would be cheaper than my current provider. It's not. It's almost $100 more. There was some serious false advertising involved here and I feel particularly upset about this tonight. I will be doing my best to get back to my original supplier tomorrow.

This company lied to me as a customer and burned me very badly. I was paying a very low rate already when the sales guys for Just Energy showed up and promised me a lower rate. They also promised I would not get hit with any cancellation fee and that I could cancel if these statements were not true. They promised an 0.08 cent rate but after I signed up it was 0.28 cent rate, so right away I was lied to. I got hit with the cancellation fee from the previous company (which I expected), but Just Energy did not pay that fee. I had to pay it. Then when I called them to get reimbursement, they stated that I would have to wait 90 days and then I would be credited my account that amount. Of course, after 90 days, I can no longer leave Just Energy without a penalty. So this is manipulative by design.
After talking to a manager, he agreed that I had been lied to and agreed to waive the cancellation fee if I left Just Energy though he could not help me with potential removal of the credit I was entitled to. Meaning, if I left, I would get hit with both a cancellation fee and the removal of the credit that was supposed to reimburse me for leaving the previous company. Even though I was unhappy about being misled, he could not do anything more for me. So I was already out 650.00 just by switching!
After I left, the retention department called and said they would lower my rate to 0.08 cents (which ironically, is what I was supposed to get from the start!) but I did not want to reward bad behavior. I immediately signed back up with Energy Ogre. And my contract is back to being a very favorable one with them. I did get hit with the cancellation fee that the manager said I would not get hit with. However, he did say to call back and he would remove it. When I called back, they stated that it would take up to 21 days to get removed. I tried to get another manager named Steven to do the right thing and lower my bill to the rate that was promised by the sales reps and then later offered to me by the retention department, but he refused!
They obviously do not care about doing the right thing for the customer and for that reason, I am leaving this review to warn everyone to be careful when considering switching to Just Energy. In my opinion, they are not a customer friendly environment and don't deserve your business. It's so simple to do the right thing when it's clear that there is something that needs to be done. Rest assured, I will never recommend Just Energy to anyone ever again!

I would find another company; their fees are outrageous—more than what I paid before—even though it initially appears to be lower. If you look at the fine print, you'll see the truth. They advertise that if you find a better deal within their company, you can switch to the new plan with no issues, but that is also a lie. Any better deal you see is only for new customers. They have a lot of hidden fees. The transfer process is easy, but once you see all the additional fees, you end up paying over $100 in fees, even with a $150 credit. Ultimately, that credit doesn’t really count because all the extra fees swallow it up. This is my fifth bill, and it has been over $500 for a 1,800 square foot home. I have a second house with the same square footage, and I pay less than $300 every month there. I am planning to cancel soon and switch to the company we are currently using. Just wanted to warn people ahead.

Run away as fast as you can from this company. They will lie to you by promising some free nights and show you some fake bills that are really low, in order for you to sign up with them. That's how they got me initially. I just moved to Katy TX and one day I went to Sam's Club and the guys from JUST Energy both stopped me and asked me what provider I had. Being new in Texas, and not knowing the electricity market that well, I decided to sign up with them since they were going to pay the switching cost from the previous provider and also said that I would basically get free energy from 9 pm to 7 am.
I was thinking that heck yeah, free electricity and we did all our laundry and the majority of the cooking at night but still the bills were between $200-300. When I checked closely I was getting charge $0.28/kWh. So on a month where let say I used 1700 kWh and 700 of those were during "FREE" electricity, for a 1000 kWh I was paying $280. These guys are scammers. Stay away, do your research, ask for the Fact Label Sheet, read the contract carefully and don't let them rush you to sign.

Just Energy got me as a customer when I felt like my current provider was a little higher than I would have liked. With a name like Just Energy and the sales person knocking at my door stating he was sent out when people's bills reached a certain threshold to come see if the consumers wanted to change. Like some authoritative entity had set him on this task of door knocking. He was a little fake and overly nice, but I thought how much different could it be? I was in for a shock. My energy bill immediately doubled and has gone up consistently each month since.
Here's the example: Previous provider average was $160+/month. 1st bill with Just Energy went to $280, then $360, and now the current month is $377 and I'm not paying this nonsense. Their early cancellation fee is around $300 and at this point after speaking with customer service once, I've had it. Customer Service felt like I was bothering them with my call. This company is a scam, do not be fooled by ANY positive reviews or attributes to this company. Look them up on YouTube and see for yourself that there are SEVERAL videos testifying guests who felt duped by Just Energy.

My great grandmother in her 80s were approached by somebody in Sam's Club our very first time going there, he goes over everything saying how it'll lower the bill but then clarifies that even after doing a small sign up she would have to call them to confirm due to our current situation but she decides not to. Fast forward the next 2 months, the bill now doubles and it turns out the needing to call was a lie just to get another guaranteed sign up.

They lied to me and just please believe the bad reviews and pay no mind to the very FEW good ones. I got trapped into a contract and salesman lied to my face about the KwH rates and even stated “this is not a contract.” Now I have to pay $175 to get out of it, sounds like a contract to me!

I signed up through Sam's Club, the salesman misrepresenting the facts. Worst, and most expensive company out there. Freedom to choose, what a joke. Highest energy prices, then they try to intimidate you with termination fees that you don't have. Trying to get you to come back, I would go without electricity rather than use these liars.

Just like the recent reviews, avoid them! I was with them from March to the end of July. I'm in my 20s, have always enrolled for paperless billing in any and everything that I do. My few months with them, I received only 3 emails, initial request for service, initial account information and final bill. I never received my monthly bills or payment confirmations. Every month I kept submitting request for paper free billing yet never received my bills online. By the time they sent the bills by mail and it made it through the USPS system, they were sending a disconnect notice and I was receiving them both the same day or a day apart, resulting in a late fee every month from them because these scammers refused to honor request of paperfree billing!
I have had service terminated with them over 3 weeks ago and yet, they are still adding fees to a final bill from them?? An ACH reject fee (I use the same account to pay every bill and have had that amount almost 2 decades, yet it rejected for them??), and a late fee (I terminated service, I am not with you guys anymore!!). I will be putting negative reviews everywhere that I can from them and will be reporting them to the public utility commission.

We were also approached at Sam's Club. Advised they had partnered with Sams. Sales guy was very nice when he was trying to hook us. Gave us his cell #, in case of questions or issues. Got our first bill, and was in wrong plan (not the one sales rep told us he was placing us in), and was higher than what I was paying with previous provider. Called company and asked for correct plan and they did switch it. Our 2nd bill was even WORSE!!! Nothing of what sales rep explained was accurate. When I called company back to try to switch back to the original plan we were put on I was told I could not go back to that plan because that was only for new customers. I am now stuck paying LOTS MORE than what I was paying with previous provider. They also lied about paying cancellation fee to my previous provider. That was NEVER PAID. We NEVER received $20 credit at Sam's for signing up.
When I tried calling sales rep to ask for help, he hung up on us and blocked us. To top it off I was late one time and was charged $44.07 as a late fee for being couple days late!!!! WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! Looks like at this point our only option would be to file a complaint with PUCT and Office of Attorney General to try to get out of this company, otherwise we are stuck with them for 50+ more months! Talking to them is a waste of time.

Updated on 08/16/2024: I was able to cancel my service due to being 3 days since signing up with them.
Original Review: Was approached at Sam’s Club. Gentlemen told me it’s 19 cents per kWh and also they will pay me any electricity I use from 8 at night until 7 in the morning. I was thinking I’d get a rate of maybe 15-16 cents per kWh by how they described their plan to me. I asked for my contract a couple of days later. The price was 32.6 per kWh and if I use 42% of energy in the evening then finally it will be 19.5 cents per kWh. The night time was actually 9-7 not 8-7 as they described. There is a 3 day grace period to cancel your mistake with signing up with this company. A total farce, I wish Sam’s Club did not allow them in their stores.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. They are a scam. Was approached by someone in Kroger who said they could give me a lower rate than my current electric company. I then told him that I was not going to sign up for their plan as I’m not in the market for a new company. He then proceeded to tell me to just sign the paper and that I have three days to determine if I want the service and I said, "Why do I need to sign if I already told you I’m not going to use your services?" I then called the number he gave me to cancel. Whatever he did was told by a women that she cancelled my service with them and I would not have any problems with my current company.
The next day I received an email from my electric company that my service was closed with them after being told my service wouldn’t be switched. Spent over an hour on the phone with them to say that they have to write a letter that takes 30-45 days to review to get me switched back and that I had to pay for the service I had for them for the day when I was told I no longer would have service with them and be charged because I did not authorize the switch to be done. Beware of this company!!!!

It's been over 20 days since I tried to activate or enroll with Just Energy Service. Every call takes a long time (1-2 hours), and just to have solid information, they requested documents for verification (which is expected). I sent the requested documents as per the enrollment email (ID and a second document like a utility bill), but they never replied, so I called them, and after 2 hours on phone jumping between agents, I was told that they needed another document, so I sent my home insurance contract. A few days went by, and I called again, and the same thing happened: a long wait and no solid information. For the third time, they asked for documents other than the 3 documents I already sent. I asked why that is necessary; the agent didn't know and put me on hold.
So at the end, the explanation was that this is how our company works, and each company has a different protocol to follow. That was crazy, but I thought to get it short, and I sent my home lease. Again, a few days later, I didn't get any reply or email, so I called. The waiting was bad, and I had to speak to 2 agents; they didn't know why, but they asked for a 5th document other than the 4 I sent (my official state ID, my utility bill, my home lease, and my home insurance contract). So I asked to speak to a supervisor; clearly, the guy didn't understand the concept behind the verification, and he requested a copy of my passport. I asked him to answer a simple question: What should I send beside the official document I already sent? He didn't know, but at the end, he goes like, "Mmm, send me a copy of your passport or social security card."
I can't understand how they can provide services if they don't understand the business requirements and verification process. Not a good support department; I won't recommend their services. I'm glad my enrollment didn't go through. A business should have periodic training for employees to assure customer satisfaction and satisfy business needs.

I got approached by a door sale person for Just Energy. They was saying free weekends and my bill would be cheaper then the one I was with. I said show me the proof and they showed me a copy of a bill that was cheaper then what I have. So show me what my rate is and they told me the only way to see that rate is to sign up and see. Well I was hesitant on that but I agree when they told me I had three days to change my mind. By Monday the following business day they have already notified the other company and it was too late. When I got my first bill and show how much it was I was floored to see the kilowatt charges of .283 cents. I will be moving to another provider really soon. So beware of this company. They are not a honest company.

I spoke with sales person at Sam's Club. They lied about the Solar Buy Back Program and my electric bill went from $35.00 per month to $195.00 per month. Called customer service to no avail. DON'T LET THESE CROOKS RIP YOU OFF!!!

GARBAGE!!!! I enrolled in a plan 8 days ago. Submitted my paperwork and had to call back 5 days in a row (each day being told to wait 24-48 hours) before they FINALLY told me my power wasn't turned on because they needed a signature on one of the documents. Now I'm told it won't be on for 4 more days due to the weekend and holiday. They have no way to expedite anything apparently.... After waiting a week they still can't just turn the power on. I have now canceled, and enrolled with a different company. My power will be on today! It is July, 110° and they have zero urgency to help their customers. I was excited that they had a decent rate, but this last week has been so frustrating. I will never use this company or refer anyone. Avoid the hassle and headache... Choose a different company! They are NOT "Houston's best energy company" as they like to say.

I went to Sam’s Club and the guy told me I would pay way less for my electricity with this company because I showed him a bill of my other company where I was paying like $220 and he told me I would pay less than that. So I decided to give it a try and the first bill was good then it started to go higher and higher and now I got a bill that says I used almost 3000 kilowatts. That’s when I freaked out a bill of $700 minus $200 free night credit so I have to pay 500 dollars. That is not right I’ve never used that much electricity. Plus I think the credit for free nights is just fake. At the other company I would never ever use that much kilowatts. And I would never pay a $500 bill. That’s insane. The most I would pay in these hot weather is $300 and that’s without the free nights. Not satisfied and I would not recommend it.

On July 1, 2024 I switch to Just Energy thru Sam’s Club. I requested to start my service on 3 July, which that gave them enough time. My previous electricity company expired on July 3 and they cut the power off early in the morning. I reached out to customer service for Just Energy and asked him when is my power starting, They said in the next 3 to 5 business days. I just went grocery shopping for a July 4 party and now all my food is going to waste. I remind them that when I spoke with them on July 1, They confirm that my power will start on the 3rd of July. Seems to me that they just say what we wanna hear to make their sales. Now I’m gonna Have to find another energy company. Does anyone know if a really good one with excellent Customer Service with satisfaction?

Walked into a Sam's Club and they had some agents there advertising. They promised us 7 cents per kilowatt hour, which is about 1/2 of what we were paying with our previous company, and 8 hours overnight for free. When we got our first bill it was 4x what we had been paying previously with no breakdown on where that price was coming from. We tried to get anyone on the phone or through their website, but the phones are just an AI that run you in circles and the website shuts down/stops working before you can get any real answers.
Finally went back to the Sam's Club and talked to the agents, who put us through to a manager. When we explained what all was going on he was very apologetic, straight up said that the agents lied to us and it's 29 cents per kilowatt hour with the 8 hours overnight free - because we told him nothing about our power usage has changed [I still primarily cook, use my computer, and do laundry/dishwasher at night because I'm a night owl] and that last year during the summer heat wave our bill was still 1/4 of what they wanted to charge us plus we had some nasty storms that left us without power for a few days that they still somehow tried to charge us for.
Also they were supposed to cover the fee for breaking a contract with our old company, which they did not and have not offered to do so. We went back to our old company too, any amount of research shows that we aren't the only ones dealing with this and these guys are liars and scammers.

I absolutely hate this company. It's like playing Tetris trying to get a live agent on the line. Literally is designed to keep you looped! Their phone system and online systems are trash! And they try to get every fee they can out of you. Please beware of this "company". Oh and let's not forget when you FINALLY get someone on the line, they speak terrible English.

Stay away from these people. I signed up while at Sam's club. Rep told me they would pay the termination fee for my light company. That was a lie. They told me they were less expensive than my current light company at the time. That was a lie. My light bill was almost $400 is month. This company has done nothing but lie. Stay clear of them!

Free nights plan is the best plan ever!!! Saved tons of money switching over from reliant where they were charging me hundreds of dollars every months so I knew it was time for a change. I switched to Just Energy and never looked back.

This company is running a scam at Sam's Club and Sam's Club does nothing about it and still lets them pitch their scam in their store! They lie and tell you they'll give you a gift card, which I never received. They also told me that my rates would either be cheaper than the going rate in my area or a few cents per unit higher. Well, according to DTE, my provider, the going rates were around 35 cents per unit, but Just Energy was charging over 60 cents! Double the price is not "a few cents!" They are liars and this is a scam. DO NOT BE FOOLED! They will lie and tell you what you want to hear and screw you.

No automatic payment system. You can't pay on their app. When you pay bills it always fails with $25 charge. They do not have good platform for effective service. Their system is a complete mess in this age.

I’ve been a Just Energy customer for years now and on 5/9/2024 I did a payment arrangement to avoid disconnection on my service. Payment went through but never received an email confirmation by Just energy like I normally receive with the terms. Today 5/18/24 Saturday I’m speaking to a representative over the phone a guy most likely from India about not receiving my payment confirmations like I normally receive them and he blames me that it is my email address or email domain at fault. He then tests and sends over a bill through email while on the phone and comes through right away with no issues and along with a survey for me to answer, but not a bill of confirmation of payments made. He explained he won’t fix anything on their end nor bring it to the attention to their IT because “I’m just one customer complaining about the payment issue and no one else is”.
This is terrible customer service and I tell him “how are we supposed to be making payments, if we won’t have any proof of payments being made with no confirmations?" I can always change companies for this reason since I do not have the trust in Just Energy to just take their word that payments are going through, when I can’t get proof by email nor mail that payments are going through”. This will not work for me! Either fix the issue with payment confirmations that customers can receive by email or you will lose a customer over this. He tells me he won’t do it and he can’t stop me from leaving to another company. Very lack of respect on his part with customers. If one customer service representative does not care and says words like that, trust me when I say no one else in that company will care either.
The rep and most likely the whole company believe that customers not receiving their payment confirmations are not a big deal! And that will allow them power over customers to decide when or when not to disconnect your service since their is no proof of payments. This is a bad company for business!! And I am currently searching for new service elsewhere online as we speak. Because just like that rep told me over the phone “he can’t keep me from leaving.” He was right! They lack empathy. My concern is I need to know where my money is going to with proof. Not your word. Your word means crap. No confirmation receipts no payment made. The way I see it. You don’t care for customers, then we do not care for you! and we will take our hard earned money and go somewhere else where we are truly valued customers. And no false advertisements.

This is not a good company to work with at all. They seem to have all types a little scams to make you pay more. They will make it very difficult for you to keep up with your payments and keep TU on if you ever get behind. If they make a mistake with your payment you will not be given time to clear up any issues. They will disconnect so they can double charge you fee. And their system will post double payments to your account if you are not careful.

I've been with Just Energy for 2 years. Great company with great customer service! Best rates especially on the free nights program. No Oncor delivery fees! Only problem I have with them is I was getting emails every week on my usage. What happened to the weekly usage updates????

My wife signed up after feeling pressured by a rep for Just Energy. She came home and informed me what she did and I looked at the contract. Our current electrical supplier is 9.5 cents, PPL is 11 cents, Just Energy is 17.39 cents. My electric bill would go up $103 per month changing to Just Energy. Now for the most important part. The contract states "You may rescind this agreement within 3 business days from the date of this agreement". I called the customer service number and that person said she could not find my information. I emailed the customer service and have not had a reply, I then went back to Sam's Club and spoke to a Just Energy Rep and she said she cannot rescind it. How is this a good business practice? Today, I will be faxing a "cancellation" form and emailing that same form. If my electric supplier is changed I will take this up with the PUC and anyone else that will listen.

So, this is actually my fault for not reading before signing and just listening to the guy at Sam’s. I took his word for everything he said and now that I’m actually reading this contract, he lied about everything. Hope the service is better than the sales rep and the price is what he says it will be. Again, my fault for not reading and taking this guys word for what he was selling.

Immediate, numerous red flags about this company. I was solicited while grocery shopping and misled with false information about Sam's Club promotions, coerced into signing up with an account I had no idea what it entailed, and never received any additional promotion as originally pitched. I have cancelled my contract and am hoping I do not get any surprise bills from them. Unless you're directly in the market for a third party electric billing service, DO NOT do business with this predatory company.

I signed up on Mar 08, 2024, after my daughter said she had no complaints and would receive a $100 referral credit, however when I was signing up all of a sudden there was no longer any referral program, and then it changed to because you signed up at S...Club you can't qualify, so I corrected him to say no I didn't sign up with them and then his answer changed to that. This supervisor's mind was already made up and he was trained on how to respond to my type of inquiry. Customer Service was a complete waste of my/ our time as well as the Supervisor "Steven **" if that is real.
The only benefit I can say that I was told (that I will receive due to their lie) is that if this service doesn't work out after my first full month, I will not have to pay a disconnect service fee for early termination. Let me just hope they honor that. Just like any well-known name brand, its name holds VALUE, so just let me say "Just Energy" is absolutely a misleading company, and its name speaks volumes but for me they are all negative...and this is my experience with Just Energy, make your own decisions! I've been with this company for many years and had no problems like I had today. I will be all for the month of April 2024. It's close 27 hundred dollars. They are trying to say that because I made a due date Change back in March of 2023 is the reason why my bill is that high for April 2024!!! Make it make sense! I am on a monthly income and they said all they can do is have me make a payment arrangement!! The nerves of them to make us suffer for their wrongdoing and I can't do nothing but pay the bill and not pay another must have bill and put me in a hole. I have had times when I was unable to make payments on time due to hardship but I make sure that I pay them in full every month no matter what and this is how they say "we appreciate you for being a loyal customer"!! I can't believe how they are doing me...

Hello, please DO NOT ever purchase electricity from this provider. They have the worst customer service ever and they literally hide the underlying information. You not only end up paying extra charges per month but also, there will not be any communication from them and they hand your details to debt collectors for fraudulent charges they make on your account. It will affect your credit score in a way you can't even imagine. I'm trying to let everyone know how worst their system is but I'm unable to drop a review on google. Have no second thoughts other than dropping your thoughts on dropping your plans on opting Just Energy.

Just Energy is falsifying returned payments to make people pay an extra $25. They are not submitting payments to the bank, but stating the bank is rejecting the payment. This is my 1st bill, which was paid early and is still not due, but billing wants me to pay an extra $25 or have the financial institution verify they did not receive the request. Customer service in SAMS was great, this is the only reason I gave them a try.

I got it thinking it would save me money. I had one plan before from 2022 to 2023 that wasn't bad, but it had expired and so I got another plan for 15¢, (two more than the last) for the latest plan thinking they were a reputable company. But get this, on the last bill cycle they charged me about 130$ for 770 kwh. The So called "Nights Free" plan subtracted around 300 kwh from that 770 kwh. The rate however for each kwh was 27 cents. So I was charged 130 for that 470 kwh usage. What is the point of making people be more conscious about their usage if you're going to upcharge them for it anyways. If they scammed me this way what makes you think they wouldn't do this to you? Highly do not recommend giving business to this company.

I called Just Energy Feb 8/2024 and they made everything seem great, now that I paid the deposit and signed up for service it's a whole different story. I explained to them I had a 100 yr old grandfather on oxygen and sleeps on a air bed. So today Feb 9/2024 I sent my grandfather to adult day care and paid my deposit which I was told would be turned on. When I got home no service then daycare brought him home. When I called in the agent that helped me said it could take 24 hrs to 48 hrs and maybe even Monday, that is not what was explained to me when I signed up and the agent wouldn't get someone high we above him to get on the phone to help me.
I now have to pay for a hotel room and trying to get my grandfather in a bed without his equipment then had to spend the money on down feather mattress pad cause we don't have his airbed, then I have had to move all his oxygen equipment to the hotel room and my grandfather can't talk from a stroke and has no use of his left side and these people seem like they could care less. Not only am I out money on a hotel but the food I have in my refrigerator is gonna go bad. Had I known any of this ahead of time I would have never changed services but by God they wanted that 109.00 dollar deposit. This was very uncalled for and and very unprofessional.
All this and haven't even started service yet and still don't have an answer if it will be Sat or maybe even Monday. Everyone who took part in this one day will have a relative or friend or someone they are caring for and as mad as I am right now I still wouldn't wish on them going through what they just put us. This has been financially draining exhausting and so not right.

I've attempted to contact customer service via their support chat box on their website. I'm currently unable to speak to customer service on the phone. I was inquiring about why it was locking my account despite the correct login information and how am I suppose to pay the bill via a secured method. The online login feature locks you out of our account despite the information being correct.
The rep worked with me to reset my password and still didn't work. The rep responded with there wasn't anything else he could do and to just send a screenshot of my error to an email. When I asked if there was a reference number or if he could apply a note in my file about everything we discussed, he just ghosted and stopped responding. The rep eventually disconnected my support chat. I went through the process to connect to a support chat rep again and received the same one. Despite me asking how I'm supposed to pay my bill via a secured method, he refused to acknowledge or type anything in chat box.

I’ve never paid 500-700/ month but, the moment I started ising this company, my bill doubled!! And, they do not allow you to pay your bill forward. Can’t wait until my contract is over. Stay away from them.

A door-to-door representee came to my apartment talking about how my current account with Ambient energy was charging me an extra fee and told me he wanted to help get rid of that. At no point did he identify himself as being with Just Energy and just asked for my normal information about my current bill. He said he was going to get rid of that extra charge and I would soon see a drop in my bill, but failed to mention I was switching providers in any way or state I was signing up for a 3 year long contract.
Now that I have moved, I was unable to get ahold of anybody at just energy and was even hung up on the one time I got ahold of a real person. I just got my account canceled after a lengthy "conversation" with customer service that just kept trying to set me up with another account and move it to my new place. I am now being charged an early cancelation fee for a service I never asked for, and being charged for a at a place I no longer live because they can't be bothered to provide actual customer service. Please find some other energy provider.

This company is filled with liars and scammers. Don’t listen to any door-to-door representatives that show up to talk to you about your energy bill. A few weeks ago after work, my partner and I had a JustEnergy representative knock on the door. The narrative we received from the representative was that our apartment community was being hit with an Oncor delivery fee that was above the normal rate. We were told that JustEnergy was a company out of Dallas that provides TXU with their energy, and that the fees we were paying were from TXU.
The representative went on to explain that when they get notifications of a community with higher prices than what was average, they’re contracted to come out and make sure we understand our bill. The representative told us he was there to help us sign up for a “protection plan” that would move with us anywhere within Texas, and that this plan would prevent us from being overcharged on energy rates. Of course we ended up signing on for the protection plan, because what could it hurt, right? Wrong. This “protection plan” was actually them being sneaky and causing us to sign on with their energy provider. JustEnergy lied about what we were signing (which is illegal and a form of fraud. Contracts are not eligible if you trick somebody into signing them.) and canceled our TXU account. We received an email 3 days later from TXU stating that our account had been closed.
My partner and I called TXU as well as the JustEnergy sales representative as soon as we received the email. JustEnergy sent me 3 different phone numbers to “cancel” our service, and jerked us around for about 4 hours until we had to get Oncor on the phone with TXU to figure out basically how to transfer back from JustEnergy to TXU.
When I threatened to file a police report for scamming (the representative gave me all of his contact information), they started trying to over-explain how the energy system in Texas works (I have my degree in Environmental Science and fully know how the system works), and were trying to say, “Well, if you want the higher TXU prices, we can’t stop you. TXU is just a billing company anyway.” This process took 3 entire days for the order from TXU to go through to Oncor to restore our services with TXU. Even though they scammed us, we are still being asked to oay for 3 days of their service when we never wanted to switch to begin with, and were lied to about what we were signing.
While we’ve been dealing with this, I’ve been doing research. JustEnergy has been fined multiple times for this sort of behavior. Everything online says they’re a scam energy company that charges higher rates after tricking you into signing up for their services. TXU mentioned that they’ve had this same exact issue in the past with JustEnergy, and that they basically refuse to cancel your plan with them. We had to transfer back to TXU and we’re going to end up having to pay for about 3 days of service through JustEnergy, as well as our previous TXU bill and our new one since there’s now a gap in TXU coverage for the month. Upon further researching, TXU also gets their energy from Vistra Corps, not from any subsidiary of JustEnergy.

I was approached by a rep while shopping at Sam's Club. The rep showed me that I could save money by switching energy providers so I did. At the time I was living in an apartment and my bill maybe decreased by $10 which was fine. Once my apartment lease was up I decided that I would stick with Just Energy for my new home to keep things simple. My first month was reasonable. $300 or so. Every month since has been $500 +. Mind you that no one is home from 8am to 6pm and our air conditioning is set warmer when we leave. I decided to dig into my bill and figure out why my bills were going through the roof.
The plan that was advertised as a "free nights plan" is a hoax. Just energy Charges you Double for the electricity used during the day. While yes the nights are technically free, the company just doubles your Per KWH cost to offset it. I would be saving money by moving to another provider that does not include "Free Nights". Beware of just energy. I will be searching for a new provider.

The customer service lied to me when they told me there is no fee if I want to switch if I told them in advance and after two month I found the bills were very high and the power was keep flickering. I decided to call the customer service and I talked to a guy. His name was Kevin and he told me he waived the fee and I can switch now. And just to double check I called again and talked to a lady and she confirmed that I was good to switch and the fee waived...
After 15 days I got a bill from Just Energy that I have to pay them $188.00 a termination fee. The problem is I called them and I talked to a customer manager. His name James ** and he told me a different story that we can not waive the fee unless you move to a different location or residence. Although everything was recorded and I have all the names and times I talked to the customer service people who assured me there was no fee, the manager denied everything. Again I am telling you guys this company will send you very high bills and a $188.00 fee and maybe more for cancelation early even if they tell you they waive it..

Worst energy company. No matter what we did our power bill was always in the $700-800's, and our house isn't even that big. I'm guessing they never checked the meters and just took the month before. And kept it like that for years. After paying enough for this bs company, we finally called and threaten to go to another power company. That's when we FINALLY got a reasonable bill. We did still switch and it's 10x less than this scam of a company.

Just Energy Group, Inc. was in Sam's Warehouse store promoting to change electricity service. Stating they would give free nights. Showing customer who have saved living in a big home how their bill was super low. When I got my bill it was more than my previous service company. They are scam artist and have lied about their free nights. My bill was $900, I don't use that much energy. They write fake reviews. They call you before your bill is due to harass you to pay as soon as possible!

It was a beautiful Sunday, I was shopping and minding my business at Sam's Club when I was approached by a member of Just Energy. They sold me so much beautiful things just because they wanted to sell and make profit. I just received my first bill and I'm outrageous, furious and disgusted. For someone living alone in a house I have never paid over $200. I'm barely home due to my work schedule and I'm angry with this bill right now. Why are you charging me over $200? I'm canceling this account first thing tomorrow morning. WHAT A SHAME!!!!

I signed up through a Sam's Rep that told me my rate would be 10 cents per kwh but when looking at my invoice I am being charged 23 cents when I was only paying 13 cents with my previous carrier. To add insult to injury I was not told that on the first day the bill is not paid there is a 5% late fee added then on the 3rd day there is another fee added and a disconnect notice sent. This are things that should have been disclosed to me because I NEVER would have signed up for this service. I'm not happy and need assistance on who to report this company to.

I've been satisfied ever since I tried them. I like the weekly monitoring of how I'm looking at my usage. They give me email alerts and special perks. My bill is a lot cheaper than all the other companies I've ever had. I know when to expect when the bill is gonna get higher in the summer. Also, when the cooler time is here, I can definitely tell how everything changes. Look into Just Energy.

The customer service people are very friendly, and my monthly bill is not that bad. It's about 100. I'm on a fixed income and I gotta stay around that price. They said I overpaid and they gave me a credit for the outside lighting. I was negative 80 something dollars, so I didn't have to pay this month. I'm happy with Just Energy and I'm gonna keep it.

Just Energy's percentage rate was lower. I like it because late fees are a dollar. It goes up a couple of dollars if I’m late, and it's not that expensive. It's affordable and it doesn't stack up the more days I'm late. The only thing I don't like is the app. I have to call in to make a payment because they wouldn't let me submit the payment on the website. They wouldn't let me delete the card on file. And if I tried to pay with a different card, it wouldn't submit. But overall, it's a fair bill.

Just Energy knocked on my door and promised me a cheaper price so did my electricity with them. But now, I'm seeing a higher bill. The company I used to have before used to be about 80 bucks to 70 bucks. Now, it's 140 topped out and the highest is 270. It's quite a bit of money. I contacted the person who came to my house because I haven't even got emails from them. He said that they usually send out emails but I never received any. The first time I paid, no one contacted me and told me what day. I got a notice that I was late on the payment. Finally, they shut off my power and I had to call him. That was a weekend. He finally told me that he put my information incorrectly.
I stayed in a hotel and I had to wait until Monday to finally get my light back on. I'm waiting for Just Energy to credit me but they stopped contacting me. If they could just contact me more and send me more letters. Now they finally do send me letters but not emails. I'm a younger gentleman so I check my emails frequently. That's how I base my stuff, my bills, and how to attack and pay them off. I work out of town, so I barely see any mail.

I was at Sam's, and somebody approached me and told me to get Just Energy. It was very nice. At first, they offered me a really good deal. The first few months, I paid really low. The first bill was $50. The second bill was $80. Right now, they're charging me almost $200. So, I didn't really like that. I live in a single home and I live by myself. I just have my pantry light on and my TV on and my AC. I don't think that that's almost $200 worth of household. I'm dissatisfied because they've been upcharging me and I don't appreciate that.

I like the kilowatts and how much Just Energy charges. Also, they didn't make me give a down payment. The reps were pretty professional. I'm very satisfied. I love the electricity and it's cheap. But the app sucks a little bit. It sometimes messes up. It takes a while when you're putting in the card number. Other than that, my experience has been good.

Their plans were pretty competitive. During my enrollment time, I had so many questions and they were patient enough and generously answered all the questions. Even after I got my first month bill, I had some more clarifications and were responded very quickly and very patiently as well. Just Energy should do more marketing because we only know about these things by word of mouth. We don't know there is a energy provider who is very competitive enough and giving us the competitive pricing.

I enjoy Just Energy. I recommend people to try it because it had never given me any problems. We're really good in paying it, and we've never had any issues. I like that they send me a paper bill. The prices have been okay even though our bill has been 100. We understand because we use a lot of electricity. We use a lot and we think that we used a lot, and then the bill comes in, and we're like, “Wow, I thought it was gonna be higher.” As far as the representatives, I've never had one that's been mean. They've all been good.

Just Energy's bill is outrageous. I live in a one-bedroom, I don't have any electronics, and I have no kids but since switching over to them, my light bill was $400. I've reached out to them but the rep didn't say too much. They didn't get anything resolved.

Just Energy's price is a bit cheaper. I was supposed to get a $50 or $100 certificate from them. But I never did. Maybe that was a hook just for me to move with them. But I'm considering getting another contract with them. I save some money. I'm trying to get my daughter with them.

Just Energy's rates are better than our previous provider. They gave us one rate, and when we called them and told them that we weren't going to renew, they lowered the rate. They're easier to contact, too. We had TXU Oncor before. They're a big corporation and it was hard to get ahold of somebody that spoke English. I've also told all of our friends that we like Just Energy and that they provide us with good rates.

Just Energy charges me $5 every time I pay my bill via ETA or ETF. But I had somebody get into my bank account, so I have to pay it that way now. My previous provider wouldn't take a ETA or ETF. They wanted a credit card and I don't like to do that. So far, I like Just Energy and I have no problem with them. They answer the questions that I ask and they would switch me to a person when I pay my bill.

Just Energy had a special promotion going on for Sam's Club members. They showed me the rates and it was a little bit better than what I had at the time. I went ahead and changed over to them. There was a no-deposit thing and they gave me gift cards for Sam's. My experience has been good. But I had to call because I was transferring and they didn't tell me about the transfer procedure. When I went to my other property, they said the meter is different so I had two bills at the time. I had to pay a final bill at the other apartment and then at the other house, I had to pay a new bill.
Also, I don't like that whenever I have to speak to a supervisor, I have to go through three people and then the supervisor would still say the same thing. That's why I rarely try to call because it sounds like they just say the same thing. Also, I can't understand a lot of the things they say sometimes because of an accent, which is normal. I understand. But sometimes, we need to understand and make it clear. Otherwise, there's really no fix. But they were very professional.

My entire experience with this company can only be described as a joke. We were stopped by a representative at Sam's Club to get us signed up with them as our electric service provider. The representative looked at our current bill, current and average usage and assured us that making the switch will lower our monthly bill. About a week or 2 later, I got the information packet in the mail and could review our actual plan. Turns out this is plan is $99 for [I believe] 100 kWh, then an additional fee per kWh over. My household is all electric (including baseboard heat), so we consistently use OVER 2000 kWh. Our current rate was less than a penny per kWh.
I called Just Energy after reviewing this to cancel as the paperwork said we could cancel within 60 days without penalty. The individual I spoke to reviewed the terms of their contract, I explained how this wouldn't be a good fit for us due to how much electricity our household consumes and asked her how to cancel. She told me she could cancel it so that's what I requested. The following month, there was Just Energy on my bill- which had doubled, obviously. I called again, and that rep told me he would cancel our account effective that day. I escalated it, as I had wanted it cancelled when I originally called. They submitted an "investigation" and it should be no surprise to you that their investigation concluded in not backdating the cancellation. Here we are the following month, they're still on my electric bill, and its gone up from the previous month.
To add insult to injury, the original rep who signed us up had originally told us we would receive a gift card that day for Sam's Club. At the end of our conversation with them, they said we would send it in the mail in the coming few weeks. It's been almost 5 months, and still no gift card. I was promised another gift card when I spoke to the company about them not cancelling my account. I laughed- I already knew I wouldn't get that one; I still haven't.

There was no fine print where Just Energy told me one thing and the other came around. But all was thoroughly explained. I used to pay on my online portal, and it looks like Just Energy switched over to a Matrix system. It's a hassle. I thought it was a problem with my internet service where I couldn't log into the page. I logged in through another phone, but it wouldn't work. I found out that the whole company switched through that app. And they charge a fee to use it. Other than that, it has been phenomenal.

Over these last few years, there have been times that I've experienced that I couldn't pay my bill on the day of my due date. But I was able to make arrangements and pay half of it that day and then the rest of it in two weeks. Other than that, I have had minimal interaction with customer service because everything is very interactive. They send you emails pretty frequently to show you what your usage is and what your bill is gonna look like. Everybody has been professional, and very knowledgeable about their products and options that are available to the customers. They're very helpful, and patient. My experience has been positive.

The reps I talked to were very helpful. But, when it gets to the next step, it's not what happens on my bill. When I pay my bills, I have to call them up and adjust something because they're not putting my solar panels on there. They told me it was all my fault because I haven't signed the paper. I told them to send me a hard copy so I can sign it and make a copy of it. That way, when I mail it, I can make sure they get it back. But I never got a letter. If I don't get the paper, I can't sign the paper.

I come from California, and we could only have one provider. We didn't have choices. However, in Texas, we can pick from 100 different companies, but with all providers, the switch will flip the same way. With Just Energy, every time that I've flipped the switch, the lights come on and the garbage disposal works. They've never singled me out and my house is the only house in the neighborhood that doesn't have power. I'd like to have my old deal back though. I had an amazing deal for five years that now has expired and it's not so amazing anymore.

I have electricity with Just Energy because I live in a trailer and gas would not work. If something happens like my lights are out, I call them and they tell me that it's probably the post. It's usually down. It doesn't take long for the light to come back on. Where I live, I get a lot of water. But my energy is good. My sister lives in the same area but she gets no rain. Last time, it rained so badly that the water was up to my knees. But I still had WiFi. My sister didn't go through any kind of flood and she didn't have light. All in all, we like the price of Just Energy. We don't waste too much. With them, it's been great.

I was hoping Just Energy would give me some good rates. My house burnt down on January 29th, but before that, for some reason, my electric bill was going sky-high. Before then, I was happy to start with, and then it seemed like it just kept going up and up. I called and they said I'm on the contract. So, I don't know what happened.

I was gonna renew with Just Energy, and every time I made a call down there, I got somebody that I could not understand. I would say, “Look, I'll call back,” thinking that I could get somebody that I could understand. I don't know where these phone calls originate from, but they don't speak English. I went through about three different people down there, and I finally got one that I could understand, and I told her what I wanted to do. He's the one that called me. I didn't call him. I talked to him, and he gave me what we were looking at for the next three years. I told myself, “I'll tell you what I'll do. I haven't looked at anything at all. to be honest with you. Why don't you give me some time? Let me look around and see what's going on, and then I'll get back with you. Or you can call me back.”
He said, “Okay. Well, that sounds good.” I started looking around and he told me, “Well, you can renew right now. And then between now and the time that it runs out, you can go ahead and cancel if you want to.” I said, “Well, that sounds good.” So when I called back, I got this girl that I had a hard time understanding again. I said, “Look. I wanna go ahead and lock in now because I was told that I could do that and then I could cancel if I wanted to between now and the 6th.” “Okay. Just a minute.” She put me on hold. She came back and said, “No, no. You can't do that.” I said, “Wait a minute. Now, a fellow just told me that I could do that.” She said, “No, no. You can't do that.” I said, “Well, my understanding is I can.” She said, “No, no. You can't do that.” I said, “Okay. Goodbye.” So I hung up more out of frustration than anything else.
At that point, I started going around and looking and seeing what I could find. I found one that suited me, and so I went ahead and worked with them. I would have come back to them if I could have got ahold of somebody that could explain and talk to me because I was getting mixed messages about what they can and can't do. I even made a couple calls back, thinking maybe I would get somebody else. Wherever the phone calls go to is basically the same thing and time was running out. I needed to do something.

My last bills have been too high. I have free nights with them, and that drastically lowered my bill. But even then, with all the stuff rising, my bills have been higher. Other than that, they're okay. I don't have outages and their system is easy to use. It's very old school but I like it like that. It's three buttons on their app.

I had a 36-month policy with Just Energy, which I would never do again. The dollar amount that they give you is never what it is, because once they tack on everything else that nobody else understands but them, then you're right back up. It’s the same thing as anybody else, except that they give you a low introductory rate. Then when you wanna try and renew, it's some outrageous rate. I would also get three calls a day wanting me to renew and I kept telling them not to call.

At first, Just Energy gave me a good rate, then the next thing I know, it started going up and up and it hadn't plateaued. Also, I try not to contact them because I get pissed with the waiting online. Paying your bill online sucks, too. It's confusing as hell and you can't ever get to somebody. And when you get to somebody, they don't know what they're talking about.

Just Energy offered me lower rates and I gave it a try. My bill has been lower. The plan that I have is the free nights. It works better for our family. Everything's been smooth since I signed up with them. I have the app and it is easy to use and it has simple instructions to follow, and that's how you could take care of anything like payment extensions. They emailed me weekly usage. The bill is easy to read.

I needed some help stretching out my payments not too long ago and I didn't know that I could cut it up into smaller payments, and then just put them into my other payments. I've had Just Energy for 16 years now. Even when the power thing went up, I checked around, and nobody could still beat them. I've been happy with them.

I should have read the reviews before starting an account with this company. They don't care about their customers, they care about how to extract the most money out of you. I went through a hardship all in a span of a few weeks. I lost my job, my car was totaled to the extent that I have to get a new one. I started a new temp job which I explained to them it takes a few weeks to get my first check. They would not work with me on a payment plan, a partial payment, deferred payment or the like. They issued a notice for 3 days before my pay date and would not bend on it. I told them I have a 3 year old here and can not afford to be in the dark. I work from home and can't put my job at jeopardy. They did not care. They said I will just have to get it shut off for 3 days and then they will turn it back on.
Their reps called me and harassed me every day, several times a day about my late payment. I probably asked about 5 different people to notate the account so I don't have to spend 30 minutes explaining to a different person my inability to pay that day. They would all read the same exact speech to me with regard to what they can do, which was nothing. I experienced so much anxiety being transferred from person to person about the same issue, all I wanted was for them to stop calling asking for a payment for something I can't pay at the moment, Yet, they cared nothing of my hardship. I asked if they could at least help me by waiving the late/fee shut off notice fee which is insane and takes me up an additional $30 and they would not.
I eventually had to take out a loan to pay it, and those quick pay loans are 100% APR so I'm paying back double. And then only two weeks later am I now paying yet another bill that i can't afford to rack up more fees on. I have come to realize this is an extra bonus for this company, if they don't work with you then you default and they collect those extra fees monthly. Also, their direct online portal does not work all the time, so if you will pay additional fees to process payment via phone or their auto bill pay website. They also are scripted to tell you to dial 211 for assistance. I can tell you that most organizations that will give assistance during hardships wont do it for this company, they are too small of a company. I have had 2 organizations that agreed to pay my bill, once they found out it was this company they apologized and said they are not authorized to, it has to be Dallas Energy, Reliant or a few others.
When you sign up they will also sell you on a water filter company they partner with, they will promise you $5 off your monthly bill, I have yet to see mine discounted. Whatever you do, proceed with caution. I went from a .23cents a KW with another company to their .13cents a KW and am paying the same amount, because they find ways to pad their invoices to get the most out of you. They will not work with you, id say just let them keep your deposit and go elsewhere. If this is my first year of marriage with this company then the future with them is looking rather bleak.

A couple of people that were selling Just Energy come around our block 10 years ago. They came to my door and were telling me how they could save me some money. I listened to them and changed over at that point. The biggest thing was the fact that it was wind turbine driven. Customer service is very good. They're very friendly and helpful. So far, the bills are all pretty consistent. I've never seen it spike up and down. If you want consistency and don't have to worry about your bills, Just Energy is the route to go because I pretty much don't worry about it.

I was minding my business walking through Sam’s Club and I honestly wish I would have kept walking. The representative told me a bunch of lies, much to my surprise I received my electric bill and it increased to almost $600. Stay away from Just energy! If I could give a 0 rating, I would.

I signed up at a Sam's Club thinking it was a good deal but my gas bill doubled and we called them all they said was, "We can give you a gift card!" Scam! We canceled it, then called sams club and they said, "Well for some people it may be cheaper."

I've been with Just Energy ever since 2013. When we first set up our account, the people that we talked to pretended to be somebody else, and that was not a lie either. We were trying to set up with TXU Energy, and they didn't say they were Just Energy. Besides that, I've had really good luck with them. I have an account set up directly with them online, and their website’s easy for me to use. I pay them online, but it's not a direct withdrawal. I control it. I'm not a believer in direct withdrawals.
I've gotten really good rates with Just Energy. I'm one of those people that when our contract’s getting close, I compare prices. I don't like to go through everything to change, so if I can keep them, I will. However, money matters to me, so if I've got somebody cheaper, I give the company an opportunity to match it, and if they do, we're good. Every time I've done a contract with Just Energy, they've always matched the price. All in all, I would tell friends I would use them. They're very user-friendly, and I've not had any problems with them. That's why I've stuck with them.

I was walking through a Sam’s Club store, and there was a lady there offering Just Energy's services. We compared prices on how much money I was paying with my previous company, and she promised me that my rates are gonna be way better with Just Energy if I switch with them. I mentioned that I had a contract with the previous company, and she said, "No, it's okay. We can cover all that if you switch right now." There was a promotion where Just Energy will be responsible for breaking the contract with the other company. She told me some instructions how to fill that up, but I had a hard time logging into the page that she gave me. At this point, I never heard anything back from this person. I tried to contact her but I lost her contact number. Other than that, everything seems great. I see that my rates are a bit better than the previous company.

Just Energy does what I need to have done, which is usually to make my payment. Whenever I call to do that, I have to call and talk to a person first to get my account number. It would be easier if I could just call the automated line to recognize my phone number. But they don't have that, so I have to call and talk to a person first, call back and pay my bill. There's one guy I get a lot when I call in. It's strange that I get the same person. He's a grouch. But that's just the way he talks.

Once you go on the website, everything is self-explanatory. I like it. Also, every time I called, I always got an answer. The interaction is always friendly. The reps would get their identifying information to verify my account first and always ask me how I was doing. They handle any inquiry that I have, which I don't have a lot because everything runs smoothly. It's a good experience. My bill is not too high. If I need some extra time to make the payment on my bill, they give it to me. So, Just Energy is a good company.

It has been a great plan to have and it has worked for me. When I called in the fall time when the prices went down to change up my plan, I was able to do it very easily. The only thing is there is no actual app so it's a little bit complicated for me to log in but I just do auto-pay so I rarely get on their website.

One of my friends told me about Just Energy. She said that they were cheap, but they're not. It's way too much and I'm trying to find a different electric provider because I can't afford 400-something dollars a month. They're a bad electric company by charging that much money on the elderly. One of the ladies gave me some numbers and those numbers turned out to be they can't do anything. They don't help anybody with Just Energy. They said they have a lot of problems that are Just Energy.

I went to shop at Sam's one day and Just Energy approached me and signed me up. I hate it took me as long as I did to find them. Anytime I've called for whatever reason, I get the best service. I got full energy. I got $600 bills during the summer. And just during the summer here, I went from that $600 to 250 max that I paid. So, I'm very happy. I tell everybody that I hear of that's having problems with their energy bills, "Switch over to Just Energy." They need to get into the market in Amarillo, Texas. They have a Sam's there. But I don't know why they're not offering Just Energy.

Just Energy doesn’t add any extra taxes or fees. What we use is what we pay. The sales rep explained that Just Energy has emergency electric so we would never be without power. He also explained the deals and I signed up with him. Then, my husband signed up as well. Our home that we live in right now is actually in my husband's name and the homes that are in my name are our rental properties. Just Energy has a Plan B when Plan A fails.

We called customer service to renew our electricity plan, and it went okay. Our rates increased exponentially though. We went to the lowest price at the time. We were at 11 cents, and it jumped to 17 now.

I could never log in to my portal at Just Energy. I had to call multiple times because my email said the account already existed but it wasn't. I registered a thousand times. It didn't really happen. They said to wait another day. They should ensure that onboarding as a customer, everything is successful and that the user has the tools they need to monitor follow-up and understand their usage. I was only able to log in after the first year. We tried multiple times and then I just gave up. I got the statements over email, which helped a little bit but I never was able to review my portal. My interactions with the customer service wasn’t very efficient the few times I called. I've called five times and they haven't been quick resolutions. They always need to transfer. It's taken a while. I would tell people to look around first and make sure they don’t have other options if they ask about Just Energy.

The rep came up with a couple of plans I could choose from. She was very knowledgeable, helpful and professional. She was a willing-to-help kind of person. It wasn't about getting my account but helping me with the rate that was best for me. That's what I liked about her. I didn't like the idea of signing a three-year contract but because it had the lowest rate, I decided to go with that. I'm paying 0.154 kW/h which was the lowest at the time. Just energy has done well. They're a great company.

My bill is so high. This is the second month in a row that it's been almost $400. I ended up talking to five different people in one day trying to get the right information for, "Hey, I don't have my money. I can't get my electric shut off. How can we handle this?" They were not very helpful. I finally got ahold of somebody that wasn't trying to talk like a salesman to me. I was matter of fact with her. The phone call with her took about 20 seconds. I understand how it works now.

Just Energy's rep was extremely dishonest. Almost everything she told me is not true. She said, "We'll give you $150 to pay for the cancellation fee from your last company." I was like, "It’s not gonna be like a credit on my account?" She was like, "No. We're gonna give you $150 to pay for the cancellation fee." That wasn't true. She also said I was gonna get a gift card two weeks after I signed up. They sent me an email and it said it's like after I make my third monthly payment. I kept telling her, "Are you sure you're telling me everything? Because most of you guys, the salespeople want to make their quarter, they want to make their commission. So they always lie." She was like, "No. I'll be honest." I kept asking her this question over and over, and she kept lying to me.

I was not aware that my term was ending in summer. But it ended in summer when the prices were high. I was told whenever prices go down, I can give Just Energy a call and whatever the best price that is available, that will be offered. This December, I saw it some 60 cents down. But when I called them up, they said they didn't see it. I could see it online, but they said that they did not see it from their end. So they could not offer that and I have to stay with the higher price compared to the one which I am paying now.
I signed up with Just Energy because the plans were good and that was fitting my budget when I initially signed up. But when the prices go down and I see it on the website and call them, they could not offer that to me. It was for new customers only. But that was not conveyed to me when I was talking to them. They said, “Whatever you see online,” so that would be applicable to me because that's the only source of information that I see. Just Energy should treat their customers equally.

Just Energy's customer service reps were courteous. They were nice. I just cancelled my agreement with Just Energy. I went back to my regular provider. At the time that I made the decision, Just Energy's prices were not any lower. It might have even been higher than the others.

I signed up with Just Energy at Sam's Club. They said my energy bill would go down and that was what I was looking for. I've had Just Energy for a few years now and the service is great. My bill has gone down. From what it used to be to what it's been is a lot cheaper. Sign up with this service.

Just Energy was cheaper and I've been with them for years. There was no difference between what I was doing before and what I'm doing now but I'm paying more money. I am dissatisfied with Just Energy. They don't get it when I pay the electric bill so there has been a lag time. It's a pain in the rear end.

We had a problem once and they came and turned the system off right away so the problem could be fixed. Everything went well. The guy that came in took it down and turned it off. He was very nice about it. He explained to us what could be done and then he would be back, and he did.

The service was seamless. Just Energy did what they did and we fulfilled that contract, but we've since moved from that property. It worked out for me, but I know there's all sorts of different options. Do your research.

They could be clearer on the value-added services. I don't notice on my bill how much I'm saving. It's embedded with other documentation and it may have some great value-added services, but it's not visible to my end as a consumer.

I've been with Just Energy for a couple years now, and my billing is consistent of what I was always used to. I discovered them while at Sam’s Club. The reps explained to me the whole process of who provides energy, and there were perks to going with them. They offered gift cards after a certain time frame of being with them. Also, it was supposedly not to change the pricing of what I was already used to, so I took the risk of trying them out. I received one gift card. I also noticed Just Energy on my NIPSCO bill and saw that it was working, and they were the ones providing it.

The application process was pretty easy. I did it on the tablet of the guy standing in Sam's Club. Whenever I moved, they reached out a couple of times and they were persistent. I appreciated it. But, I do not use them anymore because the city that I live in is a municipality and they provide the only service there.

When I first signed up, it was a little bit more expensive. But our energy company here doubled rates. Just Energy is a little bit cheaper so I'm doing okay on the electric side. On the natural gas side, it was a little bit more expensive. But this year, I've been pleasantly surprised. It's a little bit cheaper than last year.
Just Energy asked me about a payment even though I made all my payments. They would send me a message and tell me to call a number. I called and it was a Just Energy number. But that would send me to leave a message and I couldn't get ahold of anybody. It was very weird. I would leave a message saying, "I'm calling you back because you left me a message." Another thing I don't understand is the gift card that I get annually on the internet. I don't even know how to use it. They email it to you but you gotta go through some hoops to get it. I've tried to do it a few times and it doesn't seem to work right.

I've been with Just Energy for quite a few years. My gas and electric bills are pretty manageable. It offers you savings 'cause when my gas comes in, it's a stable rate. My rates don't fluctuate. I would recommend it.

They gave me a good price. They've also been very nice. They called to say that my utility company owed me money, and they gave me this whole line about it. They didn't tell me that they were gonna cancel the supplier. So I ended up losing the contract with the supplier. But I called Just Energy right afterward and they said, "Don't worry about it. We'll fix it." And they did.

I heard about Just Energy shopping at Sam's Club. There was a representative there that was giving out information. It was really a timing thing because I had just bought my house and was in the transition of moving in, and to set up my electrical service, I needed a provider. I went ahead and signed up with them there at Sam's Club. I ended up getting a $50 Sam's Club gift card out of it as well.

Just Energy's service is cheaper. Some of the reps don't speak English, but that's okay. Everything works out at the end. However, it's different from person to person when Just Energy calls. Somebody saw a bill for 99 cents. I was told, "If you go with Just Energy on your next house, we'll cancel that bill." Then I started getting letters. We were not paying 99 cents, and they were gonna overcharge me a $50 fee. I got mad. They called me about 20 times but I don't answer my call in the evenings. I called them back and they took care of it.

Just Energy promised a gift card every year. Two years into it, they just stopped giving a benefit which is very off-putting. It made me want to cancel it. That was the whole reason that we signed up originally.

When I call in, I get this computer telling you all the different options. And it's a hassle to get through to a customer service rep. And when you do talk to a customer service rep, it's like they're doing you a favor by talking to you. Just Energy a couple of years back had a promotion. I tried to get in on that, and it was next to impossible. They had so many hoops for me to jump through, it wasn't worth my time to even apply for the promotion. Also, at the time their rates were lower. Now, I'm not sure. I'm never notified about anything. It's like I've fallen off the face of the earth. That's why I'm thinking about changing.

Just Energy offered a bit better rates. So, I went to it. Initially, the cost was better. But over time, it got worse. Just going through the regular company's energy thing was better.

If I've had a problem, Just Energy has been good to understand. So, they've been very amenable to that. However, they said that there's a lower rate. And based upon my annual usage, they told me I would get a $50 Sam's Club card, but that didn't always happen. And the rates are not always lower. If you have a regular income, that would probably be a good thing. But a budget in my position is not a good thing. So, I end up paying more on Just Energy than if I had followed the markets.

I love Just Energy and its services. The sales reps were awesome. I told them I was in a hurry because I had to get back home to my handicapped kid and they made everything easy for me. Everything seems to be up and running pretty good and I get different little promotions, which I like. Also, they offer suggestions about getting my bill down. I'm a satisfied customer and I don't plan on going anywhere.

I haven't been too happy with Just Energy. AEP does the billing and we didn't get a bill for one month. Just Energy started calling us and harassing us so my wife called them and paid it over the phone to AEP but we continued getting calls from Just Energy. It was a big ordeal and it was very annoying. It's not our fault that the mail isn't getting the bills delivered. Maybe we should have called about it when we didn't get it but we didn't realize.

Just Energy's rates are certainly some of the best, and I've been getting a gift card to Sam's every year as part of my staying with the plan. So, that has been worth it. I do follow my bills and I'm aware of where the rates are and what they're doing. As long as the lights come on, that's really all that matters.

When we first signed up for Just Energy, we had 20 minutes to shop at Sam's Club and the sales rep stopped us and said it was going to take two minutes, and it ended up taking 15 and it just took away our grocery time. We were in a hurry. So, I was surprised that they had sales reps that close to the end of shopping.

This is one of the worst electric providers I have signed up with. The rates were high when I signed up but as the rates were going down, I called them several times to see if they can move me to a cheaper plan which they were offering to their new customers. Zero help from their customer service. They keep saying that you can switch anytime but all their plans are expensive and want to lock you into a 60 month plan. I have never paid so much for electricity in the last 3 years together what I have paid in the last 4 months with Just Energy. I finally switched to another provider even if I have to pay the termination fee of $175. It will still work out better for me in the long run. You have been warned.

Just Energy tried to show us that they were a lot lower, so we decided to believe it and go with it. At first, they were. But after a while, my bill started to get more and more. We're not using any more than what we've been using any other time. Why is the bill going up? My bill keeps going up and up every time I check.

I quit using Just Energy. I canceled and switched back to Consumers a month ago. The pricing of Just Energy was good. But then the pricing was even more exorbitant than what I would have been paying with Consumers. They were charging me extra. I didn't know why. When I canceled, I was told that they tried to reach me eight months ago when my contract was up. But that didn't sit well with me. I'm very dissatisfied overall, just because of jacking my price without any kind of communication. Or if they wanted to keep me as a customer, why wouldn't they just keep my price until they can reach me about the contract?

I signed up for 9.65 /kWh & was charged 14.?? Instead. Told Marie I am a Senior Citizen on low income & she allegedly put me on a plan @ 9.65/kWh. Prospective customers should check complaints against any/all companies. They refuse to fix the issue. THEY BELONG IN PRISON.
