When I was in Vegas October/20196 and I bought this travel club package. I was told I could use it on my vacation in the Mediterranean that I planning to do it this year. I make down of $ 2.100.00 dollars and start pay $ 162.50 a very month. They give me $ 3.000.00 dollar card that I could use for my vacations. Now that I made the reservations. I am told I cannot use this card. When they told me that I can used as cash as part of my payment. So far I pay $ 4.862.50 for this package. But since I am no able to use the $3.000.00 dollars card I stop the payments. I am very disappointed with this company and I am requesting my money back and cancelation of contract.

Will NEVER stay here again. Will warn people of this misinformed info on their website. Please do your thorough research before booking. Save yourself the headaches! It’s not worth it at all!

We stayed at this resort about 4 years ago, and we were quite impressed. We decided to stay there again. It was a mistake. There were so many things bad about the unit we stayed in. This place is going downhill. Here is a list of things that were not up to par. The dishwasher wasn't even secured to the cabinet, when you opened the door to put dishes in, the whole dishwasher would tip forward. The sink faucet was really loose, not connected well to sink. The TV would only stay on for a while and turn off, this happened throughout our stay, told the front desk, and someone came, and said that if you don't move around the TV will go off ??? WHAT??? Light above sink in bathroom would come on like a night light. Called twice on that, they had to replace the whole light 2nd time around.

The shower had mold in it, I even took an old toothbrush I had to see if it would come off, and some of it did. It was around the walls, the door and floor. The shower would leak onto the bathroom floor. The Jacuzzi jets inside were black, which to me means all the plumbing inside would have mold. I would never go into this tub. The light socket on one of the lamps was not secure, it looked broken. There were cigarette burns on all the counters and tables in the whole unit. And the unit smelled like cigarettes! The furniture was all scuffed up. No condiments like salt and pepper, which I wouldn't even think of bringing. We won't be staying at the Las Vegas Resort in any future trips to Las Vegas.

Don't know where to start. Promised a free vacation upon the package I bought for many more. Room isn't what was promised. In 4 days one person came to change the bedding. We called for someone to check on the washer and dryer. Promised free wifi and received nothing. Even when paid it is garbage. No signal anywhere on the facility. No cable channels. None of the water rides are free like promised, no gym facility. I was kicked out because I had no member card. Then told pay 5$. Upon the crazy fees and ticket prices. I had a sour experience of Florida and even worse of Westgate. They didnt even let us know we had a complimentary breakfast. You always get what you pay for and nothing is ever free even if it's written on the dotted line.

I paid over $3,000 over a year ago to join Westgate Cruise & Travel which to my understanding would make my vacations cheaper and simpler to schedule. At the time I obtained and paid for a membership I was told that I would be getting two free weeks or two certificates for free vacations. Unfortunately when I called today to try to use one of my certificates for the alleged free vacation (Second attempt today at resolution). I spoke to what seemed to be a kind, likable woman in London. She researched the database and found the best available cruise for persons with children with disabilities. A Bahama cruise leaving from Baltimore in April with 4 US ports of call, and one in Grand Bahama.

I furnished her with our debit card # to pay the exorbitant taxes associated with this cruise and she put me on hold several times, (allegedly arguing with her supervisor to attempt to get us more amenities for our credit count) claiming that she had a special place in her heart for children with disabilities. She said that she had gotten everything done. All that we needed now was to speak to a supervising agent to confirm the trip. When the supervisor got on the phone he read off a standardized sheet stating that due to our tenure as clients we were to be upgraded to "Platinum Status" for ONLY $95 a month for 2 1/2 years? I told him that he must be confused that paying $3000.00 more was not what was discussed with the British agent.

He got her back on the line and she apologized for the confusion and said that the cruise booking dept. would be closing in an hour and that she'd call back within a 1/2 an hour with the itinerary and tax pricing. 5 hours later still waiting? What Westgate and that massive crook "King of Versailles" DAVID Seigel do is attempt to sell you more of what you didn't get to begin with? My poor little angel is only 6 years old, has Down Syndrome, and a host of medical problems, was listening in the whole time excitedly, jumping up and down screaming "Mommy we're going to the Beehammas. We're going to the Beehammas! I'm so excited! Thank you Daddy! Thank You!" Hey David Seigel and Westgate, I hope that you meet God soon and get everything that you righteously deserve!

We own with another company, and through them we found Westgate Resorts, or should I say gross motel like setting. This is in no way a resort. The rooms are tiny, their version of a kitchen is a counter with a sink & microwave, and their rooms are not cleaned very well. Upon arrival we saw several security vehicles on site, and thought this is a good thing, when in all reality it was a bad thing! There were loud parties going on until 2 am almost every night, not one security officer was enforcing quiet hours.

We called down to the desk each night requesting they take care of the noise. There were uncleared messages on the voicemail from the previous person who stayed. The blinds do not close all the way, and some are broken. There was a dead cockroach in the bathroom light fixture. The TVs are ancient and not clear to see what's on them. The people in the lobby were not very friendly, and when we asked them questions we got lazy partial answers. Internet is impossible to log onto and is very slow once you get logged on. Laundry facility is located on 1 of the 6 floors, and is open for anyone to go into it and take your clothes. The only two positives we had during our stay was there was a shuttle bus to and from the Theme Parks and the people who work in the restaurant were very nice.

Came in on June 26, 2017 and toured the property. We were pressured into buying the cheapest travel club they offered. Once getting home we found out that my husband was being laid off of his job. We then contacted the corporate office and was told if within the 3 day window we could return the products to the resort for a full refund. We made a 3.5 hour drive back to the resort, returned all items, and was told that we would get our money in approximately 20 days. They are nothing but a bunch or crooks and thieves. I swear no one should even set foot on the property... This is the worst company ever!!!!

I received an email promotion advertising a 5 day stay including 4 free tickets to Shipwreck Island Water park for $299 if I agreed to a 90 minute tour. I thought it was an amazing deal, so I booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bath villa at Westgate Vacation Villas in Kissimmee, Florida for my family. Little did I know that it would start off as the vacation from HELL!!!

First, I called a day prior to arriving and spoke with a rep concerning changing our tour date from that Friday morning to Thursday due to I'd have to fly out that Friday morning b/c my Grandfather passed away and his funeral was that Saturday. I expected them to ask questions concerning his death and even ask for proof from the funeral home. What I didn't expect was for the rep to be rude and disrespectful. After answering the rep's questions, she made the statement, "so y'all keep the body out that long?". I was shocked and highly offended. After educating her on courtesy and manners and a hour long phone call, she changed our tour date as requested.

Next, my family and I drove 6 plus hours to the vacation site. We arrived around 4:45 pm and checked in. On arrival we were informed that the unit was still being cleaned and that they'd give me a call when it was ready. Keep in mind, check in is at 4. My fiance and I decided to go and grab a bite to eat while waiting. By 6 pm, I hadn't received a phone call so I called and spoke with Allen, the front desk manager and he informed me that the room was just cleaned and that we could come and pick up the keys.

We got to the room and got settled. We were there for around 3 hours and I noticed small BUGs in the villa! I notified the front desk and requested a new room. The rep informed me that security would come out to confirm if there are any bugs and if so, they'd move us to a new unit. Security never arrived. Around 30 mins later, I received a phone call from the front desk stating that security confirmed bugs in the unit and that someone would bring us keys right away. My fiance and I were horrified and upset! We packed our belongings back up and waited on the keys.

After 45 minutes and no one showing up with the keys, we went to the front desk and spoke with Allen again. We informed him of our dissatisfaction and concern not knowing what type of bugs were in the unit and also questioned whether they knew of the infestation prior to placing us in the unit since security confirmed bugs without coming out to check. Allen (front desk manager) stated he would check with security to see why and how they confirmed bugs without checking the unit. He apologized and placed us in a new unit. He got a staff member to escort us to the next unit.

On arrival to the new unit, we encountered a SNAKE in front of the door to enter the villa! The staff member called animal control and we went back to the front desk. This time, Allen provided us with a new room and offered a refund for a day and free WiFi during our stay (WiFi was $9.99/day). We arrived to the 3rd unit and was greeted by a strong smell of MOLD. Due to it is now midnight and we are exhausted, I said we could deal with this in the morning. My fiance and started checking the beds for bugs and I found BLOOD STAINED SHEETS and a duvet cover stained with blood and with what appeared to be feces and pubic hair. I was LIVID!!!

I called the front desk and asked for the manager. I was told that he was out of the office and that I could speak with Erica the supervisor. I informed Erica of the situation and she told me she would speak with the manager and call me back. After a 30 min wait, I drove to the front desk and encountered Robert. I asked for the manager and Robert went inside an office and came back 5 minutes later and told me that the manager was out of the office, but that I could wait to speak with Erica the supervisor. I informed him that I had spoken with Erica and hadn't heard back from her and asked if he could call the manager to come to the office so that I could speak with him. Robert informed me that the manager was busy on the property and had a list of things to do and that I could get added to the bottom of his list or speak with Erica!!!

I was frustrated and appalled by his statement and stated I'd wait for Erica. After waiting in the lobby for 10 mins or so Erica showed up. Before I could speak with her, another guest was waiting voiced her dissatisfaction with her room and stated that her room was I infested with bugs and roaches and was demanding a new unit. After Erica handled that situation, I explained my situation and she apologize for not returning the call from earlier. I showed her the photos I took on my cellphone of the duvet cover and sheets. Erica was disgusted and immediately called the office manager.

In less than a min, Rudy (the new office manager on duty) showed up. I explained my entire visit up to the point of us speaking. Rudy was very apologetic and immediately came out to the unit with me. He and a staff member changed everything on the bed. He spoke with my fiance and family and apologized. I also pointed out the smell of mold in the unit. He informed me that he would upgrade our unit that morning, treat us to dinner and was very concerned, courteous and sympathetic. When they left the unit, it was 2 am. Our tour was scheduled for 11 am that morning. Needless to say, we weren't interested in purchasing anything.

After the tour, we were moved to an upgraded unit. This unit was clean and didn't have a mold smell. My family was excited and thankful. Everything was going fine until I noticed GNATS crawling down the wall. At this point, I was beyond tired of speaking with management, moving from room to room and packing and unpacking. We killed the gnats that we saw and inspected the unit. The unit was fine and we decided to stay.

By this time, we had spent 1 day and a half on changing rooms. We spoke with Franscisco (manager) and he apologized and offered to extend our stay for 2 days or for us to come back for a free 3 day stay at a later time. Rudy, the previous manager, had left us an envelope with gift certificates for $100 to use one site, 2 free large pizzas from Joe's, 6 free desserts from Draft's, 2 1 day passes to Shipwreck Island and 6 free breakfast buffet passes to eat at Draft's. I left the next morning. My family stated the trip ended up ok, but they did encounter a RACCOON in front of the entrance to the upgraded unit.

We went to Orlando, Florida last year to one of their resorts. I purchased a so called BOA (vacation package). With this package I was told we have a vacation 1 week for the next 3 years. This was not true. We get 1 vacation and 2 getaways. So this year we went to Myrtle Beach. Had to go to another sales pitch. After telling the saleslady I was not going to buy and after 3 1/2 hours later I just told them I would purchase another package just to get out of the sales pitch. So after we got home I sent a letter and also called them to cancel. Now they tell me I can't cancel. I will never use them again. I hope no one else does either.

They sent me their Westgate website to look what the room look like and everything the resorts have to offer so I agreed to book it.

But after 10 to 11 hours drive to have first experience of Smokies Mountain turned out our resorts is not the same as the Westgate resorts. They book us in the resort at governor's crossing, which old and run down. I was very disappointed and unhappy where we checking in. I called and compliant to them but they didn't resource the issue for me. I'm very disappointed they tricking me to stay where I don't want to stay and pay premium price for it. I am seriously considering a class action lawsuit because this had got to be illegal. Then they talk about a week at our resort is $2000+. I've seen deals at $79.19 per nights. Smh. I'm currently a Westgate owner in Florida. My family and I have been members for 15 years, this time around was one for the books. This vacation was the worst I have had in all the time I've been an owner. The room still has not been up to par since I first became a member. Upon arrival unit B was not made up. The kitchen in unit A had an ant infestation. While eating ants would be crawling on the counter tops. The appliances were outdated and not enough silverware was provided for the allotted amount of people in the villa (8). Daily housekeeping was not provided, and when the garbage was taken out it would not be picked up for days.

The pools are very crowded. There are not enough pools for the amount of people in the resort. If you do happen to go to the pool, there is no lifeguard on duty. The pools are mainly full of undisciplined children. There were a few incidents of kids hitting people with a football in the face and diving in shallow water. The only good thing about the premises is the landscaping. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend Westgate Resort Villa and Towncenter to anyone. I hope some serious action is taken because for sure their business will be declining.

My family stayed at the resort for a week (06/2 until 06/9 2017) while I drove back and forth everyday from a near by city. As usual, the sales department made an appointment to review our owner history and present the future projects of Westgate. They offer breakfast and a $50 cash attendance price for a 90 minute meeting. Frank was the name of the salesperson who contacted my wife and she accepted not before getting a promise of no more than 90 minute meeting since she was going with three children and mother in law.

Meeting was scheduled for 10:00 and nobody showed up until 11:30 when another salesperson whose name was Marisol ** showed up. She started decently and took a long long time reading notes and trying to understand our owner history. Time quickly passed and the 90 minute meeting hadn't even started yet. When my wife asked politely to salesperson ** if she could start because of our children who were becoming impatient. The answer from ** was: "If you don't have time then leave". She said it in front of my entire family. This is after more than 2 1/2 hours of waiting time on a 90 minute meeting. My wife stood up and left very upset for a wasted time and tried to find a manager (any manager) and nobody was available.

A company that depends 100% on satisfied customers has legions of RUDE, UNPREPARED, ARROGANT AND IGNORANT salespeople. After asking at least 6 persons a Brazilian employee claimed to be a manager although she didn't even had a name tag and attempted to listen although she also said that if she wanted to go she could go. She didn't give a damn about the impolite and rude attitude of Marisol **. Like ** there is an army of rats (human kind) without any respect for customers except the interest to close on a sale. Finally and after attempting many times to contact someone, Frank showed up and tried to compensate the issue with a $25 coupon for in resort purchases. He didn't bring the attention of any manager. Westgate Manager: NOT ALL YOUR PEOPLE ARE BAD BUT MAKE SURE YOU CAN SELECT THE GOOD ONES AND GET RID OF THE RATS AND LEECHES.

Do not waste your time with this resort. We went back to Westgate Orlando a couple of weeks ago (April 13-19) with the intentions on maybe purchasing a unit until we had an issue. The room we were in had bugs which go into our food that we had purchase. We called and they said someone would be there in 15 minutes. 5 hours later we had to call again and they eventually moved us into another unit in which the stove didn't work. So we literally wasted a day and so we asked our rep if we could at least stay another day to get our day back and she said not problem. The next morning we met with her and asked again about getting a day and she pestering us 'bout buying. Long story short they told us if we wanted our day back we would have to pay. Never again and I do not recommend. They don't deserve any stars.

Westgate resort in Branson Missouri - After we checked into this dump it was like a terrible rundown dump motel. We were suppose to have conjoined rooms which we didn't. The game room was closed by 6 every night after being told it was open til 11 at check-in. The rooms were very dirty, housekeeping didn't even make beds on a daily basis. They charge for wifi $100.00 for use of it. We stayed from December 9-12. Will never again check into a Westgate again. Say they deliver food from their restaurant but when we ordered we had to walk down in rain to get our food.

The lady said she couldn't leave her "post". Just overall not happy with this terrible business. The pictures they sent of the rooms we were to stay in were not where they put us. They put us in a building number 2. Just over a dump. And make sure you hide valuables. My friends that came with us got stuff stolen during cleaning of their room. They reported it and front desk said there was nothing they could do about it. Unreal. I've never been treated so bad ever at a resort. I will not return there ever again. They also did not help with finding a new place to stay, it being around 7 at night when we got there most hotels booked. But we managed to find one to stay at.

The first night and it was a bad drive I would never would recommend to anyone and then had to waste more money and drive home to Michigan the 2nd day. They were aware of all the wildfires going on and did not even 2 days before (Saturday). When I spoke with the Gatlinburg location tell me there was anything even wrong or going on. I purchased back in 2015 and it's been nothing but regret. The only thing Westgate is prompt at and always ready to do is take your money however when time to deliver forget it. I will encourage everyone not to buy into this. Westgate uses a 3rd party to rent your unit and make you pay $2k for this service and on the contract states that within 45 days of payment and signing, you're guaranteed to get your unit rented between $8k-11k depending on the size of your unit. In my case it's a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, etc so I was told $8k. This was back in April 2016. We're now in Dec 2016 and it's not rented and you can forget about getting a phone call from anyone or a follow-up.

At the end of November after about 100 complaints someone called me to say that I can "probably" get it rented for $2100. So what happened to the $8k? I was told his answer "I don't know why I was told that." Keep in mind I paid an extra $2k for this service. Now I've been calling him every day and leaving at least 2 messages a day with no return call to date. Westgate is a COMPLETE RIPOFF.

Yes I sat through the presentation and yes it lasted more then 90 min. But if you truly get into logistical money aspects you can actually make money off of your investment while you enjoy your time there.

They took $248 from my account without my knowledge stating that I didn't stay to the presentation when it's on camera what time I came and left.

After the traditional high pressure sales pitch about 10 years ago, my wife and I purchased a timeshare in Florida from Westgate, who was in the process of building a resort in Myrtle Beach. After paying monthly and maintenance fees for a year, the Myrtle Beach property was not yet complete when the time came for us to use it. They offered to give us another location, but were overbooked, so that never did work out. I called numerous times, and finally told them that I no longer wanted the timeshare, and that they had breached their contract. I was sent a deed in lieu of foreclosure that I signed, but indicated that I would not send them anymore money than what I had already wasted with them. After about 6 years I hear from a collection agency representing them. I sent them a letter explaining the situation and disputed the charge, and never did hear back from them.

Just recently, and after 10 years, they resurface again on my credit report. When inquiring about the report, they indicated that they never did receive a dispute from collections and that the account is now in foreclosure, but they will remove it from my credit report for $2500. It will just have to stay on my report. Companies like this cannot continue to cheat and deceive others without paying the consequences. Karma is for real. It is not in my nature to wish them harm, therefore I won't, but I reiterate, karma is for real.

We purchased from Westgate Resorts in Feb 2014. It has been the worst headache ever since! We were offered a 1 bedroom deluxe for $56,000 and turned it down. Each time we walked away they came back with a lower price, and we reluctantly bought at $7,000. We've made 20 payments of $140 a month since and still owe $6,726.38. We'll be paying on this "deeded" property for the next 8 years, not to mention we owe $741 a year to even use it for maintenance fees (that have increased, btw). Why would you pay a weekly hotel rate to use property that you supposedly own, along with a $140 a month payment?? The whole concept is ludicrous.

We were told we had access to any resort with our owner card. That's true, but what they didn't say was we still had to pay to use the facility! If we are visiting Gatlinburg (where we bought), we still have to pay $12.95 per day, per family member (5) to use the water park! We've tried to book a week outside of our timeshare, which we were told would never be more than $199 for any week available, and were quoted a $289 a night rate!! Non-owners are not that high, so why am I being punished for owning?

This whole place is a rip off, and a sad mistake we have to live with... oh, and we bought "value" season, which means we can go "anytime" from Dec to March. This worked for us, but now we have blackout dates and were told the contract changed. How do you change a contract??? We've been limited to essentially one week in each month as an option, and it's not ok.

I'm so sick of talking to customer service and them telling me what a great deal this is for the "deeded" property we own... what exactly do we own? No wonder the owner of these resorts is thriving while the members suffer. Our maintenance is currently $741 a year to use this for one week. Do the math, they make $38,532 a year in these fees FROM JUST ONE CONDO!!! Save yourself the trouble and DO NUT BUY!!!

It was our first family vacation. We saved for yrs to go to Gatlinburg Tennessee to stay in a cabin. We were at a museum when we got bombarded by a Westgate employee. They pressured us to go to a free breakfast and 1/2 off Ripleys. We went to Westgate only to be so pressured and lied to about what we were getting. They took advantage of us since we were new to vacationing. They got us to get a 2 bedroom resort for 10,000 250.00 a month. They said we had 3 days to change our minds. After getting home we realized it was not what we could afford. We called them back. Wouldn't let us out. We were upset but magically a 1 bedroom was free which they told us wasn't at the time.

I begged her to just let us out but no we had to go with the 1 bedroom for 150.00 a month. Then we had to do a down payment of 2,500 plus more credit card bills from them. We didn't even know about all these fees. We feel so cheated and taking advantage of. We told them we can't keep it because we can't afford the payments. Now they have a attorney harassing me to pay 795 to Westgate so they will drop the deed. This is the worst experience I have ever been through. Save yourself. Don't buy a time share. But now it is almost impossible to trade it when you want to go. They charge what is called prime time charges and you pay extra $500 per week. This is ridiculous because I have already paid over $1000 maintenance fees per year. The maintenance fees started out at $400. I ask why they could charge extra and I was told their policies changed. How can you change rules in the middle of the game? I know what I bought and paid for upfront. Timeshare is a rip off no matter the company.

My second call got me another agent who quoted an even better rate which I agreed to. She then "found" the original agent who said I did not qualify for the better rate or the "package" as I was too old to qualify. We had to get a supervisor involved and I was given a pretty decent rate sans the "package".

My emailed confirmation referred to a "package" but not the dates I booked. An agent confirmed my dates but I was surprised I was being held to a 14 day cancellation rule. My credit card was charged and even an act of God could not cancel this reservation because "those were the rules". I have no plans to cancel this reservation as we are attending a conference. I was also told that if I have any questions, concerns, or issues going forward to contact them and that they would happily assist me. Yet, if you go online to rentals, they are renting units that are apparently not available to timeshare owners! DO NOT BUY a TIMESHARE in PARK CITY! Today, 9/16/16, I called to schedule our vacation to Tenn. to celebrate my grandson graduation from HS and the Army Reserve. I was told that we were past 30 days I had to pay $500.00 in order to reserve our week. I asked why? He said that we had Value Season. I told him that was not what Ms. ** told us. I replied, at the time we did not see a need, Ms. ** told us she was there to satisfy us and since this was not the first time we have brought from "WG", we "trusted her as telling the whole. I asked why would we trade a two-bedroom (all season) for a three bedroom (value season- for January - March in Gatlinburg Tennessee. We reside in N.C. and see enough snow. We don't have to go to the mountains.

I asked to speak with Ms. **. Guess what? She no longer works at WG. I wonder why? She's gone, I wonder will WG keep her word. I left a message at 1:35 pm asking the person who is handling Ms. **'s past customers and no one knew, but they would ask him to call me. Still waiting. If this matter is not resolved, this will be post on facebook and other types of media. I am not threatening, "No". Apparently Westgate does not have a customer service department. A company this size should have customer service. I have been an owner for 16 years. After Westgate made an error (they sent a return email with my confidential information to another person!!!), I called them. I was switched 6 times to other unknown departments, as no one wanted to own up to or correct their mistake. When I asked, a total of 15 times to speak to a manager or supervisor, I was told there are no managers or supervisors. I was connected to a Larry **, who said he was the person to speak to, however, after hearing his ridiculous comments and suggestions, I figured out that he was just another phone room person.

After numerous requests by email this time, as the phone calls get you nowhere, I still have not received a contact email, phone number, or address to any supervisor or manager. When we first bought the timeshare in Orlando, we were told that a teen club was going to be built, a water park on site was starting soon, and other amenities. Well, the small water slide "park" went up after 13 years, never saw a teen club, or anything else. They just keep building new rooms to sell. Don't fall for the Owners Breakfast either. They tell you it is just to discuss any maintenance problems with your unit and to discuss new plans for the resort. The only thing that happens is the ol' sales pitch to try to get you to buy another timeshare. Don't waste your time.

Then there is the exchange "benefits" you get to pay for. If you exchange through their interval program, you get to pay a fee to exchange your location, and also a fee to Westgate to exchange as well. They will take your money, they will exchange your 3 bedroom unit for a 1 bedroom and tell you nothing else is available, then they charge another family for your 3 bedroom unit. All a win-win, for Westgate.

One year, our unit was dirty and smelly when we arrived. There was actually dirt and debris and trash on the floor, some pieces of metal and dirt in the bathroom sink, the furniture was pulled out of place, and dirty towel on the floor. In the 2nd bedroom strange offensive, strong odor that kept us out of there and we had to keep the door closed. We took numerous photos of the mess. After numerous phone calls to the desk and numerous requests for service, which we were told "someone is on their way," we waited 8 hours for maintenance man, it was after midnight and we were tired from traveling. We had to make do that night with 1 bedroom, then had to move to another unit that morning.

So my husband and I decided to stay down at Gatlinburg 2 years ago and while walking down the street we get stopped and talked into doing a presentation that would only take 90 mins. Well that's a lie and the free gifts are lie too. We told them no several times and they just kept changing the deal on us for like three hours. Finally we bought into their club being told we could go anywhere for one week and have up to three bedrooms. We only did it because the guy said they had a resort next to Disney that was ran by Disney cast members. That is a lie too. Anyway, we did and decided to do our first family vacation. We could only get into Orlando and that was 8 months in advance. I was basically told we would never get into Myrtle Beach or Gatlinburg.

So we went to Orlando and got a three bedroom. My husband and I were tricked into going to basically another presentation, even though we were told we only had to sign some papers and it would only take 5 mins., three hours later they were trying to make us owners and we didn't want to. They kept saying they didn't know how we got the deal we did and that it just wasn't possible. Blah blah. We didn't do it. Our rooms were nice but outdated, with lots of broken items. Well the vacation was ok overall.

So we decided to do another family vacation next year, I call today and they said we could no longer get a three bedroom, they reserve the right to change our contract at anytime. So now we can only do two bedroom, we have ten going and there is no way to do a ten bedroom even though we were told we could always do a 3 bedroom where 3 bedroom was offered. But not longer. They said they can change it without warning at anytime.

I will never recommend this to anyone. They should not be able to just change it when they feel like it. What's next. They change it to one bedroom or force us into ownership. I think not. It's not worth it. I'll buy more Disney vacation points. Just don't do it. Say no. And if you read in fine print on the 199 trips they reserve the right to charge you more if you don't buy from them.

After some more talking with my husband, we decided to exercise our right to cancel within 3 days. I spoke with the representatives we worked with that day, and after voicing our concerns about the club, the financial representative we originally met with confirmed our cancellation and that they would take care of it and refund us most of our deposit minus the $500 "administrative fee".

As with any type of refund, I was a bit apprehensive that I would still be fighting with them weeks and possibly months down the road. But I am happy to report that they did refund our deposit, and thus have had no other issues with them at this time. We will be visiting their resort at a later time to take advantage of the $499 (from the $500 fee) to stay at one of their properties. We will re-evaluate the club at that time. But for now, I am very pleased with the process of being able to cancel our membership, and appreciate that they took care of it like they said they would.

My husband works at a factory and serves in the National Guard. I am disabled but I do not receive disability. Needless to say we don't have a lot of extra money. Actually we have no extra money. I saw this thing online. Boom VIP 79 dollars with a 100 meal voucher for 3 nights in Tennessee. I was sure you had to go to a timeshare thing so I got my husband to call. He was told 90 minutes. Well 90 minutes for 3 nights that's fine especially when it means only 2 months of credit card payments. Thought great. We can get through 90 minutes. That isn't what happened at all.

We were told we could pick what day when got there. That was a lie. We ended having to go on a certain day. It stormed the first day so kids got to do nothing since there was just an outdoor pool. The Internet was crap so my daughter couldn't even play on her tablet. The next day it's sunny we go. I didn't bring any catheters. It was just supposed to be 90 minutes, it turned into 4hrs of misery, and I'm still miserable almost a month later. We didn't even know we were going through Westgate. We were staying at the Creekstone Inn. I would have Google them beforehand had I known.

We got there and realized they were taking people back couple by couple. I started to get scared a little after realizing if we left we had to pay over what our hotel room costs and the full price of the meal voucher adding up to over 500 dollars. I tried to stay calm for our kids. If you rely in catheters you know self cathing in public bathrooms can be a death sentence. So even had I had a catheter it wouldn't have been a wise decision to use it. We finally get our turn and then we go back for the presentation. Well we had already been there for 90 minutes. So embarrassing as it was I had to pull out my granny sized med bag and take my meds including very essential epilepsy medication. Our "tour guide" who was actually a salesman had parked himself 2 feet from us and kept actively asking if we were taking notes, he also smoked and was within 2 ft of our asthmatic children. A point I'll get to later.

When you take 13 meds a day it is necessary to keep a med book to keep your heart med, epilepsy meds, asthma meds and so forth on a time schedule as much as possible. I started to write my meds. He asked if I was taking notes yet again, I said "no I have to take my medications." He was not pleased and responded with "well do you have to do that now," and I told him "yes I do." So now I'm trying to write down my medications and the time I had to take a muscle relaxer. My hand was drawing up from a seizure. The man sees me trying to get my medications open. I thought maybe he'll help. No he just decided to harass me some more asking if I really had to take them then. So now I'm humiliated. It's bad enough that I'm having to show everyone in the room my large bag of medications because I can't leave the room and he is further drawing attention to me.

I'm going through menopause, I'm hormonal, I'm on the verge of crying and my face is on fire, my meds make me flush and time-stand stress really doesn't help. We finally get out and he is walking extremely fast. I'm trying my best. My kids are getting wrestles and he wants me to go leave them with strangers. Oh my gosh we've been for over 2 hrs. Now you've already harassed me about my meds that wouldn't have been an issue if we actually got out in 2 hrs. I had already realized it might be an extra half hour before coming but after that I have to take my medications and was harassed now my child needed to go to the restroom is a problem.

He brings us to this big crowded cafeteria. My head is spinning, I'm exhausted, I have to eat after my medications. It's been 3 hrs and I haven't complained. Now he brings us to this stupid loud buffet. I have a very poor immune system and my children have gotten hungry so now I can't say "well you can't eat" so my preemie son who has a weak immune system and almost died of RSV is eating out of buffet that hundreds of people have been breathing over and touching and so am I. Turns out he wasn't even bringing us to be nice. He just wanted to go smoke! I get it's not their fault that my 2 yr old and I get sick easily but had the stupid "tour" been over in 90 minutes this wouldn't be an issue.

By this point I'm already sick and in pain from not being able to relieve my bladder. Now we get to go from floor to floor and walk for half an hr for the next 20 minutes with a man who just smoked 2ft from my asthmatic kids! We choose not to go places where there will be smoking and yet here it is! I guess it didn't occur to the man that a 29 yr old slim, healthy looking person could possibly have so many health problems. Well if you see someone getting sick struggling to keep up with you, holding onto walls it might be time to give some mercy not make presumptions. He keeps making all these stupid sales pitches I finally let him know I worked in retail for yrs and a big chunk of money came from credit accounts I got people to apply for. Granted those were 2 and 4 dollar commissions and didn't scam people out of thousands which wouldn't cost them thousands like he was trying to do.

You would think he would get the point but no. He actually just thought I understood why he would complain about people not paying attention. So now I'm boiling but instead of acting crazy, I apologized to the man for having to take my medications during the presentation and told him why I had to. He kind of looked scared for a minute for what he had done and started trying to be nice and tell me about his mother on meds and his wife with cancer that wasn't deadly. I don't know where they get these people but they know what they're doing.

Contract time comes along and it's every reason in the world why we should spend a fourth of my husband's income for the entire yr on their package which was pretty much the same thing as a timeshare even though they tried to use it not being an actual timeshare as a selling point. The stuff was ridiculous. I was just trying to humor the guy and get out after 3 and a half hours of misery. I actually felt sorry for the fact he wasn't getting his much needed commission and wrote great seller on his denial form. Then I finally thought we were through but no his manager had to come by and offer us a half price offer of only 2900 dollars. I was so sick and exhausted I just we aren't buying anything. I was rudely told to let her do her job.

When she finally left another girl came and harassed us as well. We eventually agreed to an 18 dollar a month financed vacation. I couldn't read at that point. I had double vision, I was confused, my head was pounding. We asked several questions and were assured the package could be used on the week my husband's employer closes the factory. 2 weeks booking would be plenty enough notice to book our room if I was in the hospital which unfortunately happens to me more than I would like. We could reschedule with an emergency.

My husband had the kids so he couldn't read everything and I couldn't see straight so after 4hrs we just figured we asked all the questions let's sign and get out of here. I never sign without reading and I could barely sign anyway. It was amazing they were so impatient and snappy all day but could care less how long it took for me to sign. She told us it could be used all over. We could even go to Hawaii. We received the resort details after signing, we asked for the meal voucher and we're told we had to pick it up else where. No one offered to bring us back on the ample golf carts available. My husband had to take our son to the van and change his clothing. He was saturated with urine and sweat.

So I went in to finally get the voucher. I heard a man in front if me cursing. He was pulled in off the street and promised tickets to a show. They had not booked the show and he had been there the whole time we had. There were no openings and he has wasted their whole last vacation day for nothing. They were told 99 minutes just like us and paid 40 dollars to get those "free" tickets. They booked them at a much later show that was totally different than the one he was told and was only about 70 dollars full price. I panicked but I kept an open mind.

We finally get our voucher and it was a restaurant.com card. I swagbuck they give those away for almost nothing because there are almost no restaurants to use them at in the South. You also had to print the gift cards which was not an option. The sales lady came down, yelled at me to call book VIP - they supplied the giftcards. Book VIP returned 30 dollars to us after an hr long phone call and assured us they had nothing to do with the gift cards. That they were only paid to put them in their ad and had no idea what type they were. Which would make sense. They're just advertising for the Resort and the Resort has all the cards on site. It was nice to get the 39 back but it was just going back on a credit card and it wouldn't be on there until we were already home.

The voucher was the main selling point for us since eating is the most expensive part of the vacation for us. We do small things, that are cost effective not theme parks. Then after getting outside I thought about the package and knew it had to be a scam too. The sales lady had left for the day when I went inside. I called the resort. Thank goodness her wicked butt was gone. The manager that handled the booking and wasn't associated with the sales department felt bad, and gave us gift cards for the resort restaurant and passes for the kids to go to the water park. I just was thankful the kids, got to do one fun thing.

Now back at home my husband told me the girl who sold us the package was our tour guide's daughter. I guess, he taught her well. 150 dollars was charged to our card. We cannot go on our vacation until it is paid in full even though we were told we could go tomorrow if we wanted to. It isn't good in Hawaii. Needless to say it's good for very few places and you have to book 90 days before they can change your package deal anytime they want. There only 3 days. You can actually book on most months and if we have to cancel for an emergency we lose all of our money unless we pay an extra hundred dollars.

Don't mess with these people. They are terrified terrible people. They wanted us to hand them several credit cards to finance the 9000 dollar package and now we're scammed out of what we spent on what was supposed be mine and my husband's first trip alone ever. They played us. Right after we got married he left to go overseas, our son was born 6 days after he got home and they used all of this to talk us into a dream honeymoon that is actually a rip off and tons of stress. I'm still sick from not being able to urinate for hours I'll probably wind up on antibiotics again for weeks for an obvious infection and I got hurt when I was dizzy and fell on the rail at that stupid place.

The only thing good that came from anything was my kids having a fun day but we could have done that with much less stress and could have put a few nights on a credit card for my husband and I not very responsible but we deserve it. Now we can't do that. I'm sick. My husband used his only sick day to care of me and the kids and we 400 hundred dollars on a scam. I'm calling today but I don't know if it will do any good. These people are obviously very well at what they do. If nothing happens I'll get a consultation with a lawyer for the injuries I got and hope to get our 150 back. I have no desire to sue anyone but if it comes down to it I fully intend to do so.

Do not get sold by these criminals. They could care less if you croak as long as they get your money. They have been caught lying about what it is on contracts hundreds of times. I wish I would have just put my foot down or actually known about all their stupid scams before we went. They will mentally exhaust you or in my case physically and mentally exhaust you to the point that you will do just about anything to get out of there.

The customer service representative at the Westgate are horrible! We booked three months ago with no problems. They took our money and information with no problems. We are scheduled to get there next week and decided to call today to book the mandatory tour, ask questions about car rentals and shuttles. It's a good thing we called one week before!! They all of a sudden tell us we are not approved to stay there!?? They were supposed to call us 30 days prior for verification but did not! We spoke to several representative and they all were disgustingly rude!!! We never stayed there before and was excited to have the experience but the way this place operates ruined that for us! They refused to refund all of our money as if we owed them!!! I'm sure it won't be long before they shut down this scam!!

I'm writing my testimony from the Westgate resort in Florida on 7/14/2016. Drove from Indianapolis with a budget of 3500 for a week getaway for a family of 4. As we enter Florida we saw a sign that said "welcome center get discounted tickets." Went in to get charged $799 for universal tickets and $49 a night at Westgate resort. Which it was around what we anticipated. If you read the reviews below about a 90 minute presentation and in reality it was 4 hours, everything is on the dot. I wasted 1/2 a day in here for discounted tickets and a cheap stay. Not bad for the price but a lot of time wasted for pennies on the dollar.

Presentation was good guy told me wonders and said I was like his family and whatever happened at the end of his presentation was going to be OK with him and that he would end the courtesy as he received us. LIE. He was so pissed that he just walked away. After 4 hour into everything I've read in here 100% accurate stories. From $8000 down payment reduced to a $500. From a total price of $36,000 to an $11,000. $650 a month to $200. With a fee of $1200 every 2 years of course. And a 17% APR. We were only there to get discounts not to buy. He was very friendly and after the 2nd hour serious and pushy. He brought another guy and both try to convince but we didn't give in. We could only get that deal at the table because if they saved that deal for later they would lose their license to sell. Turns out that deal still available for 2.5 years after we ended the discussion.

I usually Google and research everything I do and this time I didn't but went in with the gut of what was going to happen. Lastly I am reading this after a long day at the theme park and realize I might have still made a mistake. I was offered a getaway package for the family for a week anywhere with discount tickets and discount airfare to any Westgate resort in the world for a down payment of $200 in which I was given 3 months to pay and $29 a month for 2 years. Seem nice to do since I know for sure we going on another vacation in the next year.

The resort room is nice. The model is even nicer and then you add breakfast lunch and dinner to it. And that's when they got me. I said YES! Around $800 for all of this? Why not... now I'm doubting whether I made a good decision or just got scammed due to the reviews of people saying there's never an availability open. I'm going first thing in the morning and speaking directly with whoever I signed the deal with, let me tell you it's not the same person from presentation as he only turn around and left us at the table after he couldn't get us to buy the DEED... I'm gonna try to set a vacation for next year and will post about it. Good luck to all of you and keep your wallet close no matter what they offer you.

Where do I even start? My fiancee and I just got back from a three-day mini-vacation in Las Vegas following the Fourth of July weekend and stumbled into a "salesmen" on the strip. They initially asked us if we planned on seeing any shows in Vegas (which of course we had hoped to) and then he continued to say that he could get us discounted tickets along with $100 of free slot play and vouchers for dinner if we sat through a 90-minute timeshare presentation.

After a couple minutes of thinking about it we obliged since we really wanted to see the Cirque Du Soleil show Ka the next night before we headed home. He said once we got to the presentation we could just basically tell the people we weren't interested and we would get our freebies and be on our way. Let me just say that that's not at all what happened.

Fast forward to the next morning. We showed up to meet the guy and he walked us over to another person across the street who collected more information from us (i.e. occupations, annual incomes, marital status, etc.) and eventually collected the cash for the show tickets. After all that was taken care of he said we would get the vouchers for slot play and tickets following the presentation. So we took a shuttle over to the Westgate Resort to go through the whole thing.

Our Westgate salesman, Jason, was great. Honestly he was. He was the only bright spot of the whole ordeal. He asked us a ton of questions about our vacation plans and told us a bunch of stuff about himself and his family. We spent about an hour just chit-chatting before he even really got into his pitch, which we didn't mind because it was good conversation. Then he started explaining to us how we could own our timeshare and get a return on our investment instead of a 100% loss of our money when we travel normally.

Standard stuff, just took foreverrr. We finally got to see one of the suites at the two-hour mark into the presentation. When we got back down to the "negotiation room" he started throwing the prices at us. We just purchased a house and said that the timeshares were a bit too pricey for us at this time but that we would keep Westgate in mind if we look to purchase in the future. Jason asked an associate to get a supervisor to out-process us so we could get our gifts and then leave. Also not at all what happened.

Another guy, Rob, came to our table and gave us this spiel about how we were accidentally entered into the system as current owners so we weren't shown the right available units. He started explaining how units as low as $7,800 were available to own in Disney. "Only $2 each per day!" He exclaimed, adding that he couldn't possibly see why we weren't chomping at the bit.

Yes, we love to travel, but we didn't want to commit to such a large purchase on a whim. Rob got up and left then ended up coming back to our table four or five other times to pressure us to sign on the dotted line, saying that we would remember him down the road when we were paying for all of our vacations out-of-pocket instead of traveling like "kings and queens." He tried to put my fiancee and I against one another whenever one of us told him we weren't interested.

In fact, we said that we weren't interested in purchasing that day at least a hundred times. They insisted that the offer was only going to be valid that day. Come on... Seriously? You have hundreds of people that go through that presentation a day and the offer is somehow only available the same day you're there? What a crock of BS. Eventually, Rob stamped our paper and said he would get us out the door. NOPE! Yet ANOTHER guy came to our table, Jesse, saying that he would be able to freeze the prices Rob showed us so we could get in on the action in two or three years when we were ready to buy. Except it wouldn't be free to do so. We would pay $1, 250 down and $52/month JUST TO FREEZE THE PRICE of the Disney room.

Now, the thing to keep in mind is that they pressure you into buying a timeshare that you will "own" and have a deed to. I'm not sure how that's even possible when you only have access to the room you buy for TWO WEEKS of the entire year. Oh yeah, and you would be paying an HOA and maintenance fee every other year. But aren't the other 25 people who have a stake in that room paying the same fees? So you're telling me that I "own" this room for $10,000 and pay $1,000 every other year to maintain and use it but there are 25 other people doing the same thing? For that price you could own an entire damn resort! Of course, it's tough to keep all of those things in mind and see the big picture when they're pressuring you to buy, buy, buy.

So we FINALLY get out of the place FIVE HOURS LATER and get our voucher for the show tickets. No slot play voucher. No dinner voucher. The lady at the desk said that those items weren't listed on our sheet so she could only give the ticket voucher. Whatever, we were just happy to make it out and at least get to see the show. Several hours later we headed to the Ka box office to get our tickets only to be told that the show has been sold out for a week and the Westgate was told it wouldn't receive any more tickets to give out.

ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME.. My fiancee was on the verge of tears seeing as we wasted five hours of our last day in Vegas only to get NOTHING out of it. If it weren't for the amazingly kind box office staff that somehow managed to get us two tickets that night, we would've been scammed out of some cash and five hours of our time.

Needless to say, the Westgate Timeshare presentation is an absolute SCAM! I don't care what other people may tell you but it's not worth your time and CERTAINLY not worth your money, not even for the giveaways or discounted show tickets. Save your time and your money and do something else. Obviously, DO NOT buy a timeshare from them. That surely will only lead to an exponentially higher number of headaches than what we went through just in those five hours.

Five years ago while on a Vegas 50th birthday celebration we were corralled into this gig from the street. Listened to the plug, blah blah blah. After unscrupulous sign up (we signed up together but to get it to work for them we found later they put the membership in my name only for financing BUT put all income in to get it through). We had no idea.

Fast forward a few years we tried to get a location for a vacation. We were told we could not get certain location even THOUGH it showed vacancies online. I was told Westgate had only a % of the inventory set aside for them... ahem, for us. NO time was that ever disclosed. We were told these were Westgate properties. For those of us involved who have Prepaid for our vacations, we were assured we would have place at THEIR OWN RESORTS! I was told to always book about a year in advance to avoid full vacancy.

Today I went to pay my yearly $199 "maintenance" fee. I then went to book for next spring. THIS time I was told the location I wanted was in peak season and I would have to wait until 30 days before my hopeful booking before calling that resort. I explained with a whole family needing to set aside vacations, and waiting to book flights that close to travel would be chaos, crazy expensive, and work situations would not allow for last minute leave. The person told me that we could also call the leisure travel portion of our benefits to book another offer, such as a cruise or hotel instead of resort. I was livid!

We paid THOUSANDS into this resort vacation "club" in order to stay at the designated WESTGATE RESORTS and they are trying to bait and switch to other destinations and stays. Plus are "limiting" the resorts to their "allowed inventory". What this means is that thousands, tens of thousands and possibly hundreds of thousands of people have bought into a club they have been assured will allow them to stay at the specific resorts they SHOW you are available in their literature when they scoop you up and suck you in. DON'T waste your money! You are paying for air basically. I recorded my call this time when I called. I am going to report this group. A review is not going to do a thing. They need to be held accountable for their shady business.

So this our horrible experience. We were told to go to the Westgate Resort for a presentation just 90 min so we can get a discount on park tickets but that was the first lie. It's not a 90 min - it's more like 4 hours. You miss pretty much 1/2 of your day. At first everyone treats you so kind but ones you'd tell them you are not interested that's where things get bad. I told (Jose sales rep) thanks but I wasn't interested at the time - he then look at my wife & told her "do you have a voice" & not to let me make the decisions. I think that was so unprofessional because it's none of his business - how we make our decisions & to stop it off. He told my 19 year old daughter what type of dad I was that wouldn't buy her a beautiful place for her vacations & that the day I pass I won't leave her any heritage...

My questions is why would they put any pressure & make a beautiful vacation turn into a tense day making my family feel some type of way? It's sad that people like me decide to take this presentation just to get a lil discount & because they know we are not interested on the offer then we become the victims because they lost their time & they are not getting their commission... So after harassing me & my fam he goes & gets his manager to sit with us to make another offer. At first too nice - 5 mins after once we were fed up & tired of the same crap they repeated them self, he gets up with an attitude, sends another person to close the deal. Again the 3rd person asked us - we told her over again we were there just for the discount tickets. She got up with an attitude and said to us so "go & get what you's came for"... but so disrespectful - made us feel so upset on our vacation.

This time share thing is big scam - plain and simple. The room that they want to sell to you they are trying to sell to many people. Let say that you buy, they give you a warranty deed like if you buying a house but the problem is not that - the problem is that same room got sold to another 20 people and plus on top of that they charge you maintenance every month, so really my question is who really owns the room. Now 20 people owns the same room you are suppose to get that room 4 week a year - you do the math.

I am saying is 20 people including you or more, that is why so many people complain about they can never get their weeks total scams. But on the other hand this companies offer great offers to attend their seminars no obligation to buy like free nights in their resorts or free tickets for events for almost nothing - they even offer you breakfast so if you decide to go remember nobody can force you buy something that you don't want and you think is not for you always be very polite and stray told them "this is not for me." Get your tickets nights and go and have fun. Also this meeting should not last more than two hours. If this happens is because you let them do it so if this happens like I say before be polite and told them "I am done. This is not for me - I need to go." And go and have some fun. I hope this is good for the customers.

A very snowy picture for the flat screen in the living room and a old TV in the bedroom. No HD TV reception, all we got was a very snowy picture on both TV's barely could make out the picture. No WiFi for our phones either, and the phone in the room did not work. No dial tone. No extra toilet paper for the bathroom - only had l less than a 1/4 roll and no spare in the room.

We heard noise and people trying to get in on the shared door, Did NOT feel safe there at all. Slept with one eye open, due to noises. A burnt out light bulb in the bathroom, no water pressure for the shower head, a nice rain shower head, only a trickle of water for my husband shower. I did not even bother. We went for their 'no obligation' 90 minute presentation yesterday. They provided coffee and old popcorn. There was a very small 'buffet' offered but we declined, so I can't attest to whether it was acceptable or not. Our agent, Mrs. **, (I will refer to her this way since I'm not good with remembering names) was very warm and friendly. Right away Mrs. ** assured us she was not going to be pushing us to buy, she hates that herself, and she would treat us the same whether we purchased or not. Her presentation was very well conducted! She engaged in casual chit-chat with us, which I assume is designed to make us feel at-ease and more trusting. I had a pretty positive impression of the company until she presented the referral program.

Mrs. ** said we would receive $75 for each person we referred who attended a presentation, and IF they became 'owners' at Westgate, we would receive $600 per commitment! Neither of us are 'sales' types, but my boyfriend did write down the names and numbers of two people he knows who might be interested. The friend of ours who told us about the presentation had said to us, "Are you guys interested in making $100 in 90 minutes?" Sure! We agreed it was worth the risk of boredom.

It wasn't until Mrs. ** got to the referral program part of the presentation that we realized our "friend" will receive $150 for referring us. Of course, our friend neglected to mention it. Neither of us have any intention of bugging family, friends, coworkers or strangers to go watch the presentation for 'easy money'. And my boyfriend only recommended two friends because Mrs. ** said, "You NEED to give me referrals!" So much for not being a hard sell. The tour itself was short and sweet, but the 'selling' talk took forever. Of course, the model suite she showed us was immaculate! In reading previous reviews, I realize many of you have been shown beautiful suites as a representation of what you'll be getting, only to be very disappointed by the actual suite you get. When the tour was done and we returned to the noisy common room, the harder selling began. "You both NEED vacations! You both DESERVE vacations!" Mrs. ** insisted.

She assured us owning at Westgate would save us in the long run. She quickly wrote a bunch of numbers which added up to almost $750,000 we WILL end of spending on vacations in the next 40 years WITHOUT being Westgate owners! We are in our fifties and we would be lucky to be alive 40 years from now, much less able to travel. I told Mrs. ** that my boyfriend and I would need to think about everything before making a decision. "Oh no!! This low-cost offer is ONLY good TODAY!" Mrs. ** insisted. WHY?!! If Westgate is such a great, money-saving vacation option, why is it only a good deal right now and not tomorrow or one week from now?! They don't want you to think about everything they've said because then you'll realize how much of it is BS.

The price started out at $428/month for a one-bedroom suite. Then there was the obligatory closing costs, HOA fee and tax. The total if paid that day was $28,500 to "own" a one-bedroom suite. But the $667 HOA and $20 tax would need to be paid every two years. And all of that gives you ONE WEEK per year at the Williamsburg location. If we wanted to 'trade' our suite in Williamsburg for one in another location, it would be an additional fee. Those fees add up over time! When we declined Mrs. **'s 'generous' offer she said, "Let me talk to my supervisor and see what I can do for you" then went and got another woman who she identified as a supervisor. The supervisor was much pushier. Of course, the supervisor gave us an even better offer.

When we again declined, she said, "Let me talk to MY supervisor and see what I can do for you." She came back with an even lower price. I'll admit it was tempting at that point but I just didn't like their refusal to listen to why we couldn't do the deal THAT DAY. When I stood firm in our refusal it was obvious she was perturbed. But she said there was someone from corporate in attendance and only HE was authorized to give the BEST rate. He introduced himself as Bud Light. Seriously. He said his name was actually Bud Wiser, but he preferred Light. He gave us his bottom-dollar very best rate, which was still $140/month (plus the HOA fee and taxes) and asked how could we NOT afford that much between us?? When we still declined and asked how long the offer stood he said it's only good RIGHT NOW, no good once we left. He said beyond today we would pay the $428/month plus fees and taxes.

I DESPISE these things, I've only been to one other and it was many years ago. But my boyfriend needed the $100 for truck repairs and we could both use the Golden Corral gift card. Once Bud realized we weren't going to budge, he quickly ended things. When we looked across the room to Mrs. ** and her supervisor they were both clearly PISSED. I'm sure they thought we wasted THEIR time. But the originally-quoted 90 minutes ended up being 180 minutes because of their refusal to take 'no' for an answer.

They gave us a small voucher for our money, but NONE of the paperwork they showed us, especially not the ones they wrote their "best rate" calculations on. We collected the cash we earned and got a printed receipt for $25 towards Golden Corral only good at the Newport News location! If you don't mind listening to a hard sell for couple hours minimum in order to get freebies, then go ahead and book your slot. We we also warned that we could attend the presentation only ONCE. They took down our identification info to assure that.

The concept sounding great, 4 weeks a year to be used at any Westgate Resort, extra supersaver weeks at very discounted prices, 24 concierge to help you with your bookings, able to be passed on to other people and eventually to your children. Nothing but lies, in the three years that we have had this "travel club" we have used it twice out of 12 possible weeks. The first one was so filthy, bug infested, rundown and nasty that we left after two days. The second time was excellent. The third time we attempted to use it, of course there was no availability at a Westgate Resort but they could find us a hotel room in that area for more than twice the price.

Every time you call one number they tell you that you have to call another number, and this is after spending at least an hour listening to hold music. Called this morning to inquire about the resort in Myrtle Beach for this summer. Wasn't surprised to hear there was no availability but the woman did say I could book up to 11 months in advance. So I checked on next April, "no rooms", March of 2017, "no rooms”, February 2017, "no rooms”, January 2017, no rooms! So for as far as you are allowed to book, 11 months in advance this resort is sold out! Give me a break.

I can go online and look at the website and go for 4 days, 3 nights for $99.00, if I want to listen to a 90 minute speech. Not happening. Our 90 speech in Las Vegas turned into more than four hours of high pressure sale. And yes, I succumbed to the roses and lies that I fell for! Do NOT fall for Westgate Resorts, Westgate Travel Club, Westgate Cruise and Travel. You will be so sorry. Please just send me the money. It will get you just as much as it will with them!

I sat through a presentation at the Williamsburg, VA Westgate resort which was supposed to last only 90 minutes, but after about 45 minutes of sitting in a loud crowded room, my 18-month-old couldn't sit still any longer. I asked if a manager could let us find a more appropriate room for children, but instead she took us out of the room and told us we could leave.

I thought that meant she was going to give us the promised passes to Jamestown's historic tour, but actually she was trying to kick us out without those tickets. So we said we wanted to hurry and finish the presentation so we could get what we waited all day to receive, but she said we must stay for an entire round again from the start for 90 minutes! Everyone in the room, about 25 people, glared at us shaking their heads frowning at my family like we were garbage. I was so angry with how they treated us that I felt sick. Liars, cheats, jerks with no sense of right or wrong. How do people become like that? Just pushing people around like that?

This was in 2015, and they now insist that my injuries were caused by previous things in the past and told me to get Medicare to pay for my year and half of rehabilitation and future surgeries. They finally offered $2,500 to cover 2 hospital visits, 1 1/2 year of rehabilitation and 2 recommended future surgeries due to this horrific fall. This company and their attorneys are all bad people and rate high on my scum list of low lives in this world. Do not patronize such a company who would treat their guests in such a manner.

Was given a tour of your Lakes property in May of 2015. After the tour we were given several options of timeshares. None fit what we were looking for. As we were departing, our sales agent # **, Carlos stopped us short and said he had a deal for us that we could not pass up. We stopped and listen to him explain to us, Carlos was able to give us five weeks for 995.00. My wife and I walked back to his table. He pulled out a sheet that had several resorts listed, and he started circling what resorts were available to us. He told us the only issue was that it had to be used within 30 months. My wife did not think that we could get all five in within 30 months, but Carlos said with 2 weeks per year, it could be done easily. Carlos started going over the contract that was on a small tablet having me initial here and there with my finger.

About half way thru we stopped and said this sounds too good to be true. That each week would only be 200.00, and we asked Carlos how that would be possible? Carlos said that Westgate wanted us to try out several Westgate properties to find one that would be a good fit, and this would give Westgate the ability to make the final sale after we found out how well run the resorts were. The sales floor supervisor Nilson approached and welcomed us to the family. Carlos had me finish with the tablet and sign the credit card receipt. Carlos came back with a packet that included our contract, and vacation traveler welcome information. He showed us the 800 number to call when we were ready to start with our first week and then walked us to the elevator, and we both left with a smile on our face.

We booked our first reservation at the Town Center, ready to do Universal! A few weeks later we decided to book our second week in South Beach in October, this is when the bombshell dropped. The operator asked if I wanted to cancel the week in Orlando and book the week in South Beach? I explained that I wanted to use my second week in South Beach! Silence on the other end of the phone for a moment. The operator then said, "Ohhh, your other four weeks are with Leisure Time Passport, I will give you a code, and you can log on, then you can book your other weeks at a discounted rate. I expanded that Carlos sold us 5 weeks, not one week. I took the code and looked up South Beach properties as well as the Key West area. With the discount each week was about a thousand dollars for the week.

I arrived at the Town Center this week, and have met with several Westgate employees. Each very nice and wanting to help. Please talk with this person, Ect... Tatiana from the town center told us to call corporate, that they would be able to help, but ask for a manager and don't let them hang up until you had a chance to give the manager detail of the events. The operator told me that the manager was not at her desk and that I could leave a voice mail. I demanded that I talk with a manager and not to hang up the call. I was placed on hold and after 20 minutes a person from the Lakes answered and explained that "our sales agent Carlos was on vacation this week and should be back next week," that for an issue of this nature we should call corporate. I explained that I was on hold with corporate, and that I was transferred to her.

Eventually, a manager from another property, after another 20-minute hold, came on the line and explained that the contract was for 7 nights, and that this is what Westgate will stick to. I let her know that I do have some liability in this matter, but having a sales agent lie to you to just make a sale is a bad business practice. She again said, "sorry you feel that way," but the contract states I told her that if she has the last word on this, then I was going tell my experience to everyone that I run into this week while at Westgate. She then said, she was going to report this up her chain! I said good, that is what I want her to do. Someone at Westgate can make this right. If not just for me, but to ensure that someone else is not blatantly lied to, just so Carlos can make a sale.

I hope this letter finds its way into the right hands of someone that can do something about this. I know it is easy after the sale to just give up on the customer, and why not, you already have our money in your pocket. Just know that I want to work with Westgate to come to a reasonable resolution, and that I will make this experience (good or bad) known to everyone that will listen.

Me and my boyfriend went to the Westgate Williamsburg Virginia location. We were told that it would only take about 90 minutes and we would get 2 Busch Gardens tickets. We were there for about 4 hours. Basically our representative was asking us about how much do we vacation and how we spend on vacations and what did we knew about Westgate or timeshares. We told him what we knew and he was very charming and explained the company or shall I say what he wanted to tell us. We were impressed but at the time they wanted us to put down a $300 deposit. We declined the offer because we are trying to move and we have a lot of other things going on. After we declined the offer he asked us to think about it.

He came back with a manager and she gave us a lower price for a timeshare. She was telling us she's willing to work with us. All we have to do is put down a $300 and she can break down the payments for us. We declined again. He said basically they're going to give us $200 worth of Busch Garden tickets for free. He asked us why did we decline the offer. We told him that we were moving and we did have other obligations. He said, "Well this is a good offer that my manager is giving you and we really can't beat this offer." "We need family time," my boyfriend told him. "We will have family time regardless. We don't need a timeshare to have family time." He again told us to think about it and went back to get his manager.

She came over again with another lower price for a timeshare and threw in a tablet this time. Again we declined. After multiple times of declining the offer someone that said she was from corporate came over and said they know we are really interested in getting the timeshare so she wanted to give us another deal. She told us that we can get 8 vacations from now to July 2018. We could go wherever Westgate is located. She could take the $75 now and then for the next 3 months take the remaining for the down payment. At the time it sounds like a good offer so we signed.

I was asking questions about the contract. She answered but after getting home and reading the contract, she lied. We were only paying for a vacation for seven consecutive nights and the price was around $900 with interest. We would have paid up to $1,200 for one vacation for a week. I called the 1-800 number to ask them how could I cancel. She told me I can only cancel if I send a letter to the address on the contract, so I wrote my letter and put it in the mailbox. That day I felt like I was pressured. They wouldn't take no for an answer.

I am embarrassed to say that we too were sucked into this lying scam! We had used a friend's week & of course they put us in a beautiful 3 bed/lock off. We sat for the 6 hr BS & took it hook, line & sinker!!! The free breakfast/lunch, whatever they offer was the most disgusting food!!! We bought into the villas in Orlando. They couldn't show us the place because it was supposedly under construction but being that this other place was so nice we figured our place was going to be even nicer or at least look like the brochure they were showing us. We have a large family & like to travel with my elderly mom & she likes her privacy so a 3 bedroom lock off seemed ideal for our situation.

As soon as we got home we were getting phone calls on a regular basis from other scams artists affiliated with WG offering to sell our unused weeks, which raised our suspicions but we continued to think we got a good deal. We were told that we had 2 weeks a year to use anytime but if we wanted to stay elsewhere it would be a small fee or we could exchange our weeks with Interval & get a bonus week which really isn't a bonus because they charge $599 to use it. Interval also requires a membership fee, WG "gives" you a year for "free" when you purchase your timeshare. It's all a lie!!!

We went last year & as soon as we walked up to the place we knew it was not just renovated & it was not even half as nice as where we stayed previously & it wasn't very clean. The A/C didn't work properly, sheets had blood on them, dishwasher was pulled away from the counter, toilets overflowed. We complained so they moved us to the town center but 1st made us sit in on yet another one of their BS pow wows. They gave us the best deal they could because a unit just became available. Lucky us right? Wrong!!! I have 2 older sons that want to use our weeks this year. My one son is using the larger room. My other son is arriving when the 1st son leaves but is not able to use the large room!!! Our supposed 2nd week can only be used on the smaller room!!!

Not once were we ever told we couldn't use the large room for the 2nd week! Not once! I called & was told that is what it says in our contract! That is NOT what they say in their presentation!!! I am furious & now looking into how to get rid of this nightmare. I can stay in a hotel suite or get 2 rooms for $1000.00 for 1 week with my large family anywhere we want, anytime we want. We bought into this thinking our kids & other family members can use both rooms anytime & we now find out that's not the case! Very disappointing & if there ever is a class action lawsuit I want in for sure!!! This man & his family that owns all of this is living large on us & it's sad that people like them get away with preying on people like this!!!

My first thought was, "If you want me to purchase here, wouldn't you have me stay on the actual grounds?" Not in this case. I was also told that I would receive two free tickets to Disney World and a shuttle would pick us up. All lies!!!

When I got there it was 25 minutes away from the Westgate, so I had to rent a car. When I called to complain, they informed me that it was nothing they could do for me. I then spoke to a manager, Amit, who was very rude, didn't care about what Kayshala promised, and told me to catch a Uber. Next morning I wake up to a roach in my bed!

When I get to the presentation, the manager of Amit told me she saw my complaint and would have a talk with him. That's all. No additional accommodation for having to rent a car or having to wake up to a roach. After the presentation, I decided not to buy because of all the lies I was told prior to getting there. She closed the door to the bathroom while we were all still in the room thinking she was just straightening up. It's not until she left and about 30 minutes later that we were heading out the door that we realized my husband's wedding ring that was on the bathroom counter was missing. He left it on the counter in the bathroom to wash his hands and brush his teeth. We took the entire room apart to be on the safe side to not just accuse someone of stealing it. The resort took a report and blew us off the corporate. I would never purchase a timeshare with a company that has a thief working for them!

My girlfriend and I went to their 90-minute presentation at the Westgate Miami Beach. We were promised 3 nights and 2 days in that resort at the end of the presentation, whether we like what was going to be presented or not. Also 2 tickets to a free boat tour on Miami Biscayne Bay. So, we just went. When we arrived there, we were a little bit turned off. The supposedly called resort looked 'small' and 'old' and very old-fashioned. The young salesman took us to the dining room to get the presentation started. We ended up staying there for 3 full hours which included only 10 minutes for the actual tour of the small resort. We were not impressed at all. Like I said, the place looked old, raunchy, the pool looked disgusting. Ain't no way in hell we were going to buy into that.

The salesman, then, is manager tried has hard as possible to convince us, they would even get rude. But it was a no-go for us. From 500 a month, they even got down to 190. Still a "no" for us. They would keep coming back with offers and more offers. I just want to thank God we did not buy into that. We still enjoyed our free boat ride though, Lol.

I purchased a timeshare at Westgate Resorts in Orlando six years ago, but I have not used the time even one day, but I continue to pay (6 years)! At the invitation of a friend to spend a weekend at the resort, I yielded to pressure to purchase the property after the resort's salesman informed me that I could use my time with my family in Kenya where I come from and family live. I was excited to do this because my family, especially my older and sickly parents, could enjoy a vacation in Mombasa beach, Kenya.

There was no reason to purchase a property in the USA when legally my family, if they could not travel to the USA, first no visa, distance and expense. I have tried to reason with the management for years. At the present, I am told that I still owe over $.1500.00 (fees and past dues) and a balance of $, over $4,000 to pay off the mortgage loan! I am tired of threats from Westgate of foreclosure and ruining my credit! I need help.

Our room was great, the staff was great, the timeshare presentation was great. We do not have enough cash or we would have purchased the 2 bedroom flex package they offered. If I had the 4k to make the 40% down payment we would have purchased this property. I will stay with them again... Westgate gets the highest marks from us.

12.5.2015 my wife and I attended the Las Vegas timeshare deal. We went in with the intent of purchasing a timeshare. We were told that we would get a master bed with a pull out couch. We also would get a nice living room. We paid since late 2013 and created a vacation trip for 11-30-2015. We arrived at the Westgate Towers, the towers looked a little run down, but we had great hopes. We checked in late and entered a room that looked like 1970s time warp. The "new appliances" looked like crap. The dryer did not work. The "2-full size beds" could not accommodate my family of four. We still had hope and waited to call. The next day we called, we spoke to 2 Reps that told us to go to the main office in Kissimmee. We drove in the Westgate villas. It was wonderful in there. Families smiling, laughing, stores, water parks, etc.

We needless to say were pissed. Our unit shared a sizzler sign and flashed "luxury rooms for rent" we paid up today for a low-class motel. We explained that to another Rep. They said the same thing as they told everyone else in this forum. Didn't you read what you signed? Yes, we did. The unit in Vegas had marble tops. New appliances, king size bed with a nice couch. We got a hotel. We contacted a lawyer that same day. We will file a lawsuit as soon as we get home. I have a great lawyer in Los Angeles. If anyone needs help please contact me and I'll forward your information. Note: we wanted a timeshare. No pressure just wanted what we were told. We asked to be moved and they wanted us to "upgrade" for 60.00 more a night.

Was staying at the Westgate Resort in Kissimmee and was totally turned off from the start when they pressured us to attend the 90 minute sales pitch. We were tired after a long day and so just to get our room we reluctantly agreed to attend. The free breakfast was a joke and we just wanted to leave, but of course not until we had two sales people try to change our mind. The worst was when bed bugs were discovered... it was disgusting. The worst part though was how the staff handled the situation. We had to insist they change our room and they offered a downgraded room that was way too small to accommodate all 4 of us! We practically had to cause a scene to have them change the room and of course we needed all of our clothing and other items (luggage) cleaned prior to us moving to a new room.

It took us pretty much all day to have them help us. They were of very little help and left us waiting for assistance for hours. When after numerous phone calls they insisted they had already picked up our things for cleaning! Really how did they do that when we were still waiting for them in the bed bug suite! It was pathetic how they handled this and extra infuriating after putting us through a pressure sales pitch. IF this is an example of how they treat their guests, then I wouldn't want anything to do with buying into this joke of a resort!!

Oh and here's how considerate they were with all of this... we were offered to free large pizzas for our trouble... How pathetic. We suggested a better compensation than this was required, so bless their hearts, they came up with a 100.00 voucher for their restaurant. Another joke! We are now back home, but for extra precautions are getting everything cleaned before bringing into the house. NEVER STAY AT THIS RESORT!! THE SALES PRESSURES AND LACK OF HELP FOR SITUATIONS LIKE BED BUGS!!!

When I returned the call, the $1,000 credit suddenly became a membership fee I needed to pay (bait and switch!!!) I was NEVER told Westgate had an annual membership fee, much less an annual Interval membership fee. Their explanation was to compare it to a car. Mortgage on Westgate is like financing a car. HOA dues like the insurance, and the membership fees are like the gasoline!!! REALLY! THIS IS ENOUGH INDICATION FOR ME TO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! Westgate resorts tells you that if you like to book any cruise there, referral is Westlake cruise and travel. Just found out that is a third party company they hired to book reservations, and that their policy is different from Westgate's policy. Yet when you call, they say Westgate cruise and travel. So I book a Westgate palace resort stay, 8/8/2015 till 8/15/2015. Called 3 days before check in. Lady tells me that I had to cancel back in July 2015 after I purchase 24hours, no later than. That was never explain to me. But if you book thru Westgate directly at the resort of your liking, it's 72hours cancellation before check in date. Yet when you go thru Westgate cruise and travel, cancellation is 24hrs after original purchase and even if you buy vacation insurance coverage, that only covers you till 30 days before check in.

So if you purchase it 89.00 dollars, you're still not covered and lose more money. I lost 495.00, never got money back, or voucher to stay another time, or anything. They tell you, "your loss." But I'm an owner that's paid in full, about 12k total in 11 months time. Because I already had got screwed 11 months of 17.9% rate, this is the worse mistake I ever made in my life to purchase this. Everyone, don't get taken advantage of. Westgate is full of **. I wish I never throw away my hard working money. And even throw your own. It's fee for this, and fee for exchange, and fee even if you can't make it - whether you have a death in your family or sick or car broke down, it doesn't matter to them. Once they hook you, you're done in the shark tank. Beware. Don't be a victim. This is worse than credit card fraud. ** if anyone opens up a group case, please email me.

Our hot tub we were to use with two other buildings consisting of four floors high and many rooms didn't work so we had to drive to the top of the resort to use the front area's hot tub. Never had anyone come in to bring clean towels or supplies the whole time we were there. It just went on and on. Upon checking in to our room, we were asked to step to a welcome desk. There we were asked if we would be interested in a free breakfast, free 3 day 2 night vacation, and a free vacation coupon booklet of Branson. Well of course, so the man explained for a $20 deposit he would set us up a time on our last day there to sit through a 90 minute presentation to receive our free breakfast and gifts, with no obligation to buy. No Purchase Necessary was printed on the top of the paper that was given to us to take to the presentation.

We arrived for the free breakfast, which was a joke, toast, gravy and biscuits and sausage. Then we were seated at a small table in a large room full of other people doing the same thing. It was loud but we tried to make the best of it. The lady (Carley) was very friendly and told us about the resort. We toured the resort and returned to the same table. We had told her that everything depended on the price!!! What doesn't. She starts going over prices and at that point we told her it was just out of our price range to purchase something like this for a once a year use. Well then she got unfriendly! Called her manager (David) over and told him she just didn't know how she could help us. Again we told her that we enjoyed her time but were not interested in buying.

So David goes and brings us another offer and said we could look that over because it would take him awhile to get our prizes together. We once again explained that we were not buying. Carley asked rudely if we were promised something for coming and I told her what we were told and I really just came to see what it was about and get my $20 back. Then she asked us if we couldn't "scrape" up $87 a month for a place. At that point I was MAD!!! We told her to keep the $20 and got up from the table to leave. My daughter, who is 17 was the last to get up from the table and heard Carley smart off that "you won't get you $20 back."

It was the worst experience ever! If the paper didn't clearly state that no purchase was necessary I never would have wasted my time. We sat through a 90 minute presentation for 21/2 hours of badgering! Never again. I will not recommend this place to anyone and will tell everyone how rude they are. Hope they enjoyed my $20 because that's the last dime they will get from me!

My husband and I have been to many timeshare presentations. And like many hard working Americans, we wanted to have the dream of being able to up and vacation at anytime. So in April when we took our family to Vegas, we went to a presentation and invested. A 90-minute presentation took over 6 hours of our day (thinking that would be the worst, sadly I would be wrong). We were told for a low monthly fee, we could travel anywhere in the world we wanted...LIE. They give you this book with all these destinations in them but fail to tell you that's not part of the timeshare you are actually investing in. Interval is the company you have to make more payments to, if you want to travel somewhere other than your resort. So knowing that we wanted to travel outside of the states and do cruises, we invest again.

Now we have a cruise booked for Xmas and I can't find not one person to give me a call back to answer some very misleading questions. At our signing, we were told that we would have a cruise package for two yrs free of charge to try it out. We were also given a $1000 gift card and was told that it was to be used on on-shore excursions when we cruised. After investing in the cruise and travel, I feel like I am paying out more than I would if I would've just booked a cruise by myself.

Second I get no one to at Carnival to understand the use of this gift card to use on shore excursions. We were also given a complimentary week to any resort of our choice, to be used starting in OCT. So when I called to double-check on that certificate, I have to pay another $500 to use it. I do believe complimentary is suppose to free. And why would I pay $500 to use it when I was told that when we book our resort/hotel, etc. that because we are paying our monthly fee, our room rate would not exceed $245 for the entire week?

After paying a large some of more money to invest in the cruise and travel, our acct manager has disappeared. No phone calls returned, nothing. I have the number of the lady who did our signing in Vegas. Again no return phone calls returned. I am praying that the cruise works out for our family because it's a lot of money and we've already put so much into it. This was suppose to be for our children. I have left voice messages threatening to take lawyer action. This has been a total nightmare. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!

After several complaints, the maids came to bring fresh linen (in exchange for mildew and unclean linen), spray room (mildew mixed with toilet smell), and maintenance guy fix toilet. We ventured off to the 90-minute presentation.

It was 7 am on 8/9/15, when our sales expert (???) Patricia (from the island, 20-year employee, 2 kids, youngest 23, very distant accent) invited us to the second floor. We were offered breakfast and a place to sit. She was very nice at first. I was drifting from her speech about all the wonderful things Westgate have to offer. Again, 7 am in the morning. Patricia stated, "We will have to take the offer today. We will have to sign a contract and deed for $59,000.00." PATRICIA asked ME, "what would keep you from signing today?" I replied, " I will review every line of the contract before I make a decision." PATRICIA was unhappy with my response. She left our table.

9 am now! This guy walks up stating, "I am the customer service mgr. We will have to dismiss your tour and charge an additional $400 because PATRICIA said we were being uncooperative." My wife and I both said bring her to the table with you. He left and PATRICIA returned alone with a piece of paper in her hand. She stated, "I am canceling the tour and we will not charge." She seemed confused about our conversation with the CS mgr. She was very rude at this time. She walked away and another manager (some lady) just stated we can leave.

My wife asked for the documentation to show they are not charging us. They refused! August 10th, we checked with an 11.00 bill. Later, my account was charged $300 for not completing the tour. I have called NMLS, police department, every regulator in FL., BBB, O, the attorneys do not want to touch it because it is not that big of a deal. SCAM ALERT! BEWARE!!! I AM NOT DONE. We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and after traveling to other hotels on the strip we were invited to a 90-minute presentation at Westgate Hotel and Casino. We accepted since they told us they would give us free passes for a show and free breakfast. Why not. Our presentation lasted more than four hours. They were very persistent on us buying a Timeshare after we repeatedly told them we could not afford it. The manager was called to sign us off and ask how the salesperson treated us. Then she also continued to try to persuade us to buy a Timeshare and showed us different packages that we could still not afford.

After we said no several times she became upset, signed our paper, and told us that we're only trying to make excuses on why not to buy. We have a daughter who goes to a University and yes, that is a priority. After we were signed out another person we did not know arrived at our table. This is the third person that comes up to us and tries to sell us a week to return so we can receive another 90-minute presentation and we had to pay $700 for a week vacation at Westgate. We said, "No, not interested."

After all this they send us outside to get our gifts to another person who wanted to sign us up for another 90-minute presentation the next day and they offered us more gifts. I said no so they could give us our gifts and let us go home. Remember we were on the family vacation and these people just took more than four hours away from us and still wanted us to return. The reviews I read on this page are correct and were very helpful. They tell you you're going to be an owner and they're going to give your deed and you will get four getaways a year. Unfortunately, I experienced this years before and all they are trying to sell you is false expensive dreams. I truly feel bad for the families that purchased timeshares that day.

Ended up being several hours long, we told them we couldn't afford it so they presented us with a deal that is too good to be true... unlimited getaways at 49.00 a week if we book 30 days or less, 99.00 if it's 60 days or less, 199.00 if it's 90 days or less at any hotel on the list such as Hilton. We asked 3 people multiple times if this was true & accurate, the manager even wrote it on the proposal. This was appealed to us because my husband travels for work. They have not fulfilled anything they promised, we may have to just take a blow to our credit over this one.

We have given them thousands $ & still haven't benefited one time from it. Don't do it! They will tell you anything to get you to sign... then nobody knows anything. They leave you on hold for hours literally until you're so frustrated & worn out you give up. They truly don't care about the owners, they make money off of the poor deceived people. I haven't seen 1 good review on Westgate Resorts. It's mostly sad & deceived people who are just like us.

In 2012 we visited Westgate Lakes in Orlando for a free preview, etc. Got pressured into buying a timeshare every even year. My story is just like all the rest on this website. High-pressure sales, bring in one person, then another. Lower the price to what they think you can really afford. Such high pressure you cannot breathe or think clearly. They have you thinking, "this is not a bad deal". You find out you are an owner with a deed and they do not buy back. You must sell on your own. HOA fees go up all the time, pressured to join Westgate Cruise and Travel Club (more money) and Interval International which has dumps for hotels - only the worst choices - and try to get a week that you want. (No Way) Is it worth it to just stop paying and foreclose?

Then you get call from all these companies that want to see your timeshare. So sick of hearing from them. When does the scamming stop? Why is there nothing being done to stop these fools and really educate consumers on what a scam this really is. Probably because Mr. Siegel is a good friend of George Bush and gets protected. His "Queen of Versailles" on television was disgraceful. How could this millionaire be so classless and ignorant? Just received another call from a timeshare sale company giving me some great deals. When does it stop?

We went to a timeshare presentation at the resort in Orlando and told the salesman we did not want to buy a timeshare. He then referred us to another salesman who convinced us that we could buy a one week trial of timeshares by paying $19.72 per month for two years, which would give us the option to purchase a 2 bed unit at Westgate Lakes at a lock-in price of $26400 and would entitle us to a 7 night stay in any of the Interval World resorts, once the full amount of $595 had been paid. We signed up to this and were given a Leisure Time Passport to use when making our booking.

We have now paid the full amount and attempted to register with Leisure Time Passport so that we could make the booking, as this has to be taken within 3 years of originally signing. We were unable to register, so I phoned Leisure time Passport, only to be told that our membership expired last year and I would need to contact the resort so that it could be renewed.

I tried various contact numbers given on the Westgate Lakes website and Yellow Pages but was not able to speak to anyone and the only one I did get through on was a woman speaking rapidly in Spanish. I emailed the customer service address given on the website but this has been returned by gmail with the message that the resort have refused to accept the email. After looking for Westgate Resorts online I have found numerous references to it being a scam. I am interested to find out if there are any more ways I can try in order to get the week's timeshare that we have paid for. I have tried.

My husband and I attended a sales presentation. We were there for several hours and thought it was a good value for us, so we purchased. A couple days later, after discussing it more, we changed our minds. We found in our contract a provision for ten days to cancel. We went back to the resort to hand deliver the materials, but were told we could only hand deliver to corporate office in Florida. We were in Gatlinburg, TN. Later that evening we received a call from our deeder, Jodi, who told us to send a letter and our "briefcase" that we were given by certified mail to the corporate office. We were told not to send any of the contract or paperwork. We are getting ready to do this but we're concerned that we haven't been given correct instructions and that Westgate is going to say we didn't follow the appropriate guidelines to cancel. I called corporate customer service and they acted like they didn't know anything about how to cancel a contract.

We have been owners of Westgate Lakes Resort in Orlando, FL. for 12 years now. Every time we have been there, which we pretty much have gone back to Orlando every year, except for one, we went to Westgate Resort Gatlinburg, Tenn. Everything has always been great but for this year 2015 We made reservations through Westgate Tour & Travel and they couldn't book us at our owner's place in Orlando, FL but booked us at the Westgate Lakes River Ranch Resort being assured that it would be just as nice. Well, first off, they couldn't even book us into a condo like we supposedly own which is a 4 bedroom suite. All they had available was a "hotel room". Well we took it hoping by the time we got there that something else would be available.

We were taking our only granddaughter hoping to show her a good time in Orlando at Sea World & go to Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL. When we arrived, nothing else but the "hotel room was available and it was suppose to sleep 4 people comfortably. There was just the 3 of us and it was not comfortable. First we had problems with the TV not working right off the bat. A person came to look at it and my husband ending up showing him how to work the TV. Then one of the doors to the closet fell off. My husband had to fix that too. Next, we were having to call down to the desk for housekeeping to give us more towels, soap, and toilet paper. Then the air conditioning goes out and is leaking water all over the floor by one of the beds. "Oh, we will put in a work order for that tomorrow, since you will be in Orlando all day." Get back, still no air conditioner that works. Apparently, no one ever put the work order in.

So they come back and have to install a new air conditioning unit. Oh that finally gets done, and guess what? We decide that we have had enough of the sorry crap here and leave a day early from our vacation with our granddaughter. Everyone here was really nice but I guess it is run by "dumb & dumber". PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BUYING A TIMESHARE THROUGH THIS COMPANY!!! ALL THAT I HAVE READ IS BAD THINGS SINCE COMING HERE. We got divorced and neither can afford nor do we want it. So they say, "Sell it." Ok, I have a buyer, they tell them "You don't get the same benefits as the original buyer for them. They have to pay $400 wherever they go even on your week." Who want to pay that? They can take a great vacation without being harassed.

So I try to give back the deed, they wouldn't take it. I write them a little, send them the divorce papers and tell them we would be more than happy to sign the deed. They say NO and continue to harasses me. They said, "Gift to your child." Who the hell would do that? PLEASE, PLEASE don't make the same mistake we did 10 years ago. It's a life sentence. My boyfriend's 5 year old son wanted to go to Legoland for his birthday and I was under the impression that I was booking a room at Legoland (false advertising). Soon after I realized that it wasn't Legoland (should've known better) but it was fairly close. What they offered me seemed like a good deal. It wasn't the Legoland but they offered 3 free tickets with a 2 night stay and I got all excited about it because my boyfriend's 5 year old son wanted to go there for his birthday.

We were talking about Legoland for few weeks and my boyfriend was hoping that we would find the way to stay at Legoland hotel (everything was booked for months). I just wanted to be done with it. We booked it. They mentioned some kind of mandatory tour in order to get those free tickets. They were unclear about it so I thought it was a group tour to Legoland. They asked me questions about our combined income and etc., which I found strange, but didn't really think about it much.

I called 2 weeks later to confirm the reservation and I was told that everything was fine. I wasn't able to get Friday am off so we decided that he'll leave early with his son and his sister's kid and I'd leave after I get off work that same day. I tried calling the hotel on Thursday. Must've called 50 times. Lines were busy or no one answered. I called HotelsCorp numerous times but didn't get anything resolved. At one point I told them that they need to put me in a different hotel because my boyfriend is checking in first with 2 kids age 4 and 8. They said they would charge me $49 for cancellation fee. I asked to speak with a manager. After being put on a hold forever I finally got to talk to a manager.

He assured me that everything was fine and that he personally made a call to a hotel manager on his private cell and that we were good to go. I wanted to believe him because I didn't want any last minute complications. Next day I called the hotel to confirm everything and they knew nothing about it. We switched $54 deposit from my card to my boyfriend's card and they didn't even have his name. He had to drive 4 hours with 2 kids from Miami to Kissimmee and it would've sucked if they couldn't find his name in the system! I made sure that didn't happen. We talked before I left Miami and he said that hotel was pretty crappy but he didn't go into details. We went there because of kids. I arrived there around midnight and when I saw the place I just got sick to my stomach.

I'm originally from Serbia, I traveled a lot, seen a lot of bad hotels and hostels, but this place takes the cake! Dirty, nasty, outdated, bedbugs, bugs, non working refrigerator, filthy bathtub, filthy coffee maker... Long story short - a hole in the wall! I couldn't apologize enough to my boyfriend. Even though he never asked for it, I just couldn't stop apologizing. He brought 2 kids into this ** and it was my fault. I felt so bad that instead of going to sleep after working for 8 hours and driving for 4, I spent next couple hours searching for a better place to stay. I decided to give up on my free Legoland tickets, cut my losses and get the hell out of there! I was lucky to find a spot at my favorite resort in Kissimmee, went directly to their website and booked a beautiful 3 bedroom villa without thinking twice. We also bought annual tickets for Legoland.

Should've done that at the first place. But I'm not worried about consequences because whatever these scammers try to do to me I'll be ready to fight back. I'm from Serbia and I know every scam in a book. It's sad that these people have been scamming hardworking middle class Americans for so many years. They approach you with a smile and when they realize that you won't buy into their scam they try to belittle you and make you feel worthless. Just remember that they are the worthless ones because they are the ones that have to scam people in order to get paid. Don't let them convince you that they are better then you because they are not. I'm not even upset about the raw deal that I got, I'm more upset about all of you that got scammed. You want to do something about it? Let's do it!

The first time my wife and I stayed in this hotel, it was all right. The room we checked into had a nice big flat screen TV, the furniture was leather, it was clean and looked newly remodeled. Unfortunately, our last stay was very different. I assume that first timers get a different experience than those whose names are already in the system. For our second stay we went straight to the Wastegate website (yes that is an intentional misnomer). My wife found some deal for two rooms at $29.00 a night for two nights - awesome because we were taking her dad to the airport in two days... We just had to sit thru a timeshare presentation, which was fine with me because I have no intention of ever wasting (Wastegate) my money on a timeshare. It's 2015 people, not 1983.

This is where an educated mind starts to see problems with the Wastegate method. They interrogate you over the phone about finances and marital status/cohabitation status. So, immediately, if you do not make X amount of dollars per year, or if you are single, you don't qualify for the reduced room rate at all. Also, the presentation is 90 minutes long*, but you get a free breakfast... Upon checking in to our room, we were once again whisked away to another kiosk where they asked us the same 20 questions about finances and cohabitation status that the phone reservation did.

Then they handed us a welcome packet (with coupons that weren't even worth using) and we went to our room. Immediately we noticed that our room was... not the type of room we had last stay. It appeared to be an outdated "Knights Inn" caliber room with rust spots around the tub. My father-in-law's room was dirty - sheets off bed, wet towels everywhere, socks on the floor... So we complained and he got a new room.

On to the timeshare scam. Keep in mind that Wastegate Resorts are primarily timeshares, and the LV location is a new acquisition (since the Hilton's realized this hotel wasn't worth remodeling or even owning anymore). There was constant noise from the on going construction everywhere on the main floor. We went to the presentation room, along with 50 to 60 other families and boyfriend/girlfriends. Once again we were asked the same 20 questions about finances and living situations. Then waited 30 minutes before we met our "representative" aka salesperson, took us to the breakfast room. First off, the food was bad. Second off, the salesperson eats with you... a little weird. About 10 minutes into small talk, the sales pitch begins.

It was incredibly loud in the eating area. The music was so loud we could barely hear our salesperson. I initially thought this was to drown out the construction noise, but later realized it was intentional so that you couldn't overhear the other salespeople telling the exact same BS story to other families at tables next to you. This story, "David Siegel is the most wonderful man in the world, best boss ever. He decided not to close this hotel for renovation so we could keep our jobs. I own a timeshare at the Flamingo Bay location. Just got back from our Park City, UT location, so beautiful... etc."

Anyone who has seen the "Queen of Versailles" documentary knows the pitch is BS. Other Wastegate locations have sued the owner for non-payment of wages, and the guy is in default on the LV location after a year of ownership. Of course he couldn't close for renovation. He needs that money to pay the lease and remodel his 90k sq.ft. home in Florida!

So now about 90* minutes in, we're still in the sales pitch. However, we couldn't get up and walk away because if you don't sit thru the whole presentation, they charge you 3x the price of the rooms, plus extraneous other fees. So we're held prisoner. The math involved in this pitch is erroneous. The salesperson intentionally scatter writes all over this piece of info paper to confuse you. They want you to believe that each vacation costs you more than $4k each year and that by purchasing a timeshare, you save money and build equity.

Hmm. So even if each vacation does cost roughly $5k, after 5 years that's only $25k spent. Now if I do the timeshare, it's $80k at 18% interest over 5 years, plus yearly maintenance and property tax fees... So that's roughly $156k spent over five years for 5 weeks of vacation (one week each year), not including airfare. Or broken down, $31,200 per yearly vacation in the first 5 years of "ownership." Hell yeah I'm saving money, sign me up! J/K for $31k I could vacation for a whole year in the Dominican, not one week. See the problem with this?

Basically, they take advantage of people trying to budget vacation. The people receiving the sales pitch are generally not swimming in money, hence why they signed up to see a presentation for a reduced room rate. What Wastegate does is manipulate the fact that the people trying to save money generally don't have any, which means they probably suck at math as well, and won't catch the devil in the details. Then they get them to sign up, and they're trapped with an overpriced timeshare they can never get rid of.

After a tour of the property , they show you the numbers, and begin the "used car salesman" routine. You know the one - "sorry I can't go any lower. But wait, let me disappear and talk to my manager..." This of course goes on 3 or more times. The "manager" surfaces eventually to offer you to buy a unit that someone foreclosed on - of course they did, they couldn't afford it in the first place! They don't tell you it's foreclosed. They say the person "upgraded" and had a balance left on the old unit.

The rep and the manager eventually got pissed off at us for not biting, and left and some other guy came out and gave us a survey of how we liked the property and our rep, but not without once again trying to offer us a timeshare deal. By now 3 hours* have gone by. My wife was so mad she got up from the table, and at that point the guy let us go. In order to finalize our presentation we had to take the sales sheet that was scribbled all over to a kiosk to get "closed out". The man led my father-in-law and I to the wrong desk... intentionally.

After standing in line for 20 minutes the woman at the kiosk informed us we were at the wrong place and kindly walked us over to the right kiosk. Remember, if we don't close our presentation we get charged 3x the price of our room, which was what the guy wanted to happen. At the end of all this, the one thing that broke my heart was during the presentation the staff got up and spotlighted a young family with a little girl who just purchased. The only thing that I could think was "there goes that poor girl's college fund."

I took my family (14 members) to Disney July 2013 and prepaid one week vacation at the Westgate located at Turkey Lake Road, Orlando FL. We experienced theft 2 separate occasions and when I reported the issue it was taken lightly and I felt harassed by the entire staff when I requested to be compensated by providing the receipt for the items purchased while in Orlando and the same items stolen from our unit. Before the theft happened in Orlando I signed an agreement for a week's vacation which I reserved for Miami South Beach June 28-July 5, 2015.

Upon arrival on June 28, 2015 I was disappointed with the horrible smell throughout the facility. I was also frustrated with all the broken electrical sockets, nasty shower, old and ticking ceiling fans and the bugs. I reported all of this early Monday morning to the manager on duty, Jose. Jose instructed housekeeping to clean my room immediately and every day thereafter and he agreed to waive the parking fee of $10/per day being that I was not informed about parking fees before arrival.

After a few days of the horrible smell, broken outlets and ticking fan I became very upset and demanded all of these items to be corrected immediately, and yes, I asked why the hell the room had not been cleaned and other items fixed as I requested several times. At that time the front desk guy claimed to be offended with my demands so he called the police to tell me to leave the property. Before I travelled 12 hours to get to the facility I called ahead of time and inquired if the room had a balcony and washer/dryer in the unit. I was told the facility was recently renovated and included everything I had at the Orlando location, which was not the case as there was no washer/dryer or balcony.

Westgate intentionally lie to take people money and don't care if they put you and your family out on the street while David Siegel states their mission is to take care of their customers because their customers are their best sales members. David Siegel should be ashamed that hardworking people are being taken advantage of and getting ripped off with little in exchange for all the money spent ahead of time. David Siegel's staff is lacking simple and basic customer service skills. The General Manager of the Miami South Beach location couldn't even return a simple phone call as the Manager on Duty, Jose, stated he would.

Today I've spoken with several Westgate people and they are just as incompetent as Michael **, and Kelly ** who is supposedly Correspondence Manager working directly under David Siegel. No doubt I can afford a vacation and I will be taking my money elsewhere to a more reputable business that cares about their customers, are honest, and providing what customers paid to have… a nice vacation. I will continue sharing my horrible experiences with Westgate and look forward to becoming a Marriott member!

We had a wonderful time with the sales rep (joking around and taking pictures) until he realized we knew the timeshare scheme he was pushing is a rip-off. After our first 'no thank you', he brought three other salesmen/managers to our table one at a time to offer better 'deals'... dropping from the original $72,000 down to $8,900! Our '90-minute presentation' took 3 1/2 hours (explained by the first rep that the clock doesn't start until after the meal, even though they held us long after).

They eventually let us go to pick up our gifts, but in the gifting office another rep pushed a 'different opportunity' with more gifts the next day. We ended up across the street the following morning for a 'travel club' presentation and went through the whole 4-people-pushing-a-product scenario, this time starting at $8,900 and dropping to $4,000. Give Westgate some credit: They gave us all of the stuff they promised (2 meals, $100 in cash, $50 credit at Planet Hollywood & $50 credit at Universal CityWalk)... but both presentations were significantly longer than 90 minutes. Besides, anyone who thinks timeshares are a good 'investment' is pretty much asking to be exploited by con men.

***Westgate Will Treat You Like **** I was offered a stay at their Pigeon Forge location. This stay seemed like a shortcut to paradise. The concerns were few, people greeted you properly everywhere you went, and the view was AMAZING! As soon as I did the presentation walk through with their sales department they changed. At first I bought into it cause the perks seemed outrageous. Ten minuets after I bought everything seemed different. 1st there was complications with the game room machine taking my money. 2nd the deposit was never returned to me regarding the weekend stay. 3rd the tickets to the attractions, the discounted airline tickets, the hotel stays, and any other perk was only after you owned for a year, which was not mentioned when we signed but was written in the small print.

4th it took 7 hrs out of my family's vacation time just to view the whole closing once I decided to buy. The whole day was gone, kids where sooooo irritated, and hungry and all they had to offer during this process was hotdogs and salad. Since this was discovered I decided to call and search the web for all the information I could find on this company. I also recorded the WHOLE Closing Process. Thank goodness for Consumer Affairs. I found the deep truth thorough all of the different reviews. The next day not even 24 hrs later I told the same people who closed the deal for my husband and I we had decided on canceling the purchase. ** (the closing officer) took another 2 hours of our family vacation offering us more and more solutions to the things we addressed as issues. None of which were really fixing the issues or concerns.

After being on hold another 30 mins she finally walked back in the office and told my family that if we wanted to cancel we had to do it in writing and mail it to the office in Florida. (which cost money of course) There was nothing else she could do. She could have said that when I came in the office to cancel at first. Well needless to say that all happened in March. It's now June going on July and despite all my attempts to get my deposit back, and proof of contact they STILL WON'T FIX THIS NIGHTMARE!!!!! Beware, BEWARE...

I was getting married on the beach the following Sunday, thought the picture would be nice addition. So I paid the guy ** to set it up $20 to ensure I would be there.

A salesman by the name of ** introduce himself, I listened like a patient gentleman as I agreed except the pressuring and harassment went on well over the 90-min time limit to the point I felt like I was a prisoner and I had to argue just to get my $20 back. The only thing I got out of this was stress, high blood pressure and my $20. I did not even receive the lunch I was promised nor the gifts. I would entertain a class action lawsuit if anyone else is interested. I was badgered and attempted to be talked down to. I attended an owner event from June 11-13 in Orlando, FL. This event consisted of going to a welcome event on Thursday night 11 Jun 15, a concert Friday night and an owners' 90-minute sales event Saturday morning. We checked in Thursday exhausted from our trip from CA. We checked in and went upstairs to owner welcome party. Everyone had a sponsor except for us. We were told he left early. Saturday comes around and we go to town center. We assumed this was the welcome center. We asked three stations and a manager where do we go for the owners' meeting. No one could tell us where or if in fact there was a meeting. We left without attending meeting even though we tried. Next week, 23 Jun, I find out Westgate charged my card 300 dollars for missing owner meeting. I called several Westgate phone numbers and finally got explanation and a refusal to reimburse.

High-pressure sales and misinformation led to purchase of large unit 10+ years ago in the worst season in Orlando (late August). Expected maintenance costs to decrease over time with additional owners, but continues to increase every year even though I suspect they have sold/resold units over and over again, as people just gave up. Financials and management surprisingly contracted to affiliate of original developer. Never seen it change. Annual update and voting documents favor majority owners...affiliates of original developer?

Owner products masquerade benefiting owners but utilize owner contacts to expand marketing pool with high-pressure tactics. Only provide referrals to people you hate. Website advertises specials but not applicable to someone that has stayed or is an owner at any of the locations. Additional fees apply. Their motto should be "sucker born every minute." I am one of them. Would sell "ownership" if I could recoup anything near what I have paid in. They sell similar units at 3-4x what they would be willing to buy from a current owner. First right to refusal is with developer. Specials offers look enticing but long term value is terrible. Pay to get in, pay to get out.

We are owners with Westgate and have our deed at the Myrtle Beach location. We had guests take one of our two units this week. The management was terrible. Our guests could not get checked in for several hours. They did not get unit that we pay for nor on our deed. Our guests were put in a unit, an older unit, which several years ago had to upgrade to get in the new tower. So we are paying more money but not able to use it this year after they have confirmation letter stating what they should be staying in. Westgate even tried to put them in a unit which was ocean view not oceanfront. We pay more for the oceanfront too.

I'm so upset with Westgate Resorts. Why would anyone want to buy if Westgate doesn't obide by their part of the contract. They expect their maintenance fees and monthly payments but they forget who you are after they get what they want. I was told several excuses as well as our guests, so the stories vary so someone is covering up their mess. I think they overbooked...someone messed up and they do not want to take care of it. It always seems to be a problem there...2 years ago, one of our units did not have air conditioning and was unbearable so we had to go out and purchases fans to tolerate the situation. We were told there was nothing they could do. The high maintenance fees and still yet they cannot keep the property running properly. Someone needs to investigate this resort.

I went for the discounted vacation and paid like 300, and had to do the presentation for them to sell me a timeshare. I paid my timeshare off in the 120 days so I didn't have the interest to pay. Sent all kinds of friends. Then same year took my week and found that they hadn't sold me what they specifically showed me I was buying. So the first 3 days I was there I tried to speak to a manager about it.

They admitted because the person who sold it to me was still there. And I wanted to face him and let them hear what he directly told me I was buying, since they didn't want that they admitted what I was told I was being sold and what they actually sold me were two different things. Like the big screen TV's -- the ones they show people you buy are huge, like 70, like where you stay when they give the presentation. The ones we got were like 40 inch screens. The floor plans were the same, except the rooms were dramatically smaller, where you had a huge Jacuzzi garden tub in what you're shown with and get for the stay when they do the presentation. What you get when you go back is a regular-size tub so close to the bed. If you turned the Jacuzzi on, there's no way the bed couldn't get soaked. You have little room to put anything and feel crowded to death.

When I spoke to them it was admitted I was done wrong but they were unwilling to give me what they had represented to me that they had sold me. They were only willing to do an upgrade which meant more money. I didn't want a upgrade and my rental is paid for. They wasted nearly 3 days of my vacation and could only come up with the same solution -- I could upgrade and go to 5 bedrooms for ten thousand more than what I had done paid but they wasn't willing to give me what I had paid for to start with. So for 32,000 dollars one room I had already paid for they couldn't give me that but tried telling me they'd give me 3 of the rooms exactly like I paid for and two smaller ones for ten thousand more.

Sorry, how can you trust that? And wasted my whole vacation trying to get it straightened out and never did. My vacation was ruined. They wasted all my time, all the money I paid, plus the 789 maintenance fees for this year, and I got to be disappointed and not have a good vacation. I only wish they'd of been honest 'cause it really is a nice place to go if their employees were about quality. They don't have to cheat people that way. They have a nice resort. They need to be honest with them. It's the dishonesty that will keep me from telling my friends to buy.

I was approached by one of the people recruiting people to take a timeshare tour. I have previously taken timeshare tours in the past so I was ready for the 2 hours that it usually takes. When I arrived at the Westgate Resorts for my tour I waited about 20 mins before they called my name for my turn. I was taken to the area in which they promised breakfast buffet was being served. I sit down with the representative and she starts to ask me questions such as about my income. I told her I am switching departments on Monday. This is something I told the person who initially signed me up for the tour. I tell her my income. She asks if I own or rent my home. I own is what I tell her. And this is true as was all the information that I had given. She asks me if I have other bills to pay besides my home. I told her "no". I don't have a car note or bills besides basic monthly living expenses.

She proceeds to tell me that they are going to do a check at the end of the presentation to see if I am telling the truth. Now she says this several times. So I said "ok". She tells me that they pay the recruiters for the tours $350 for each person and they don't want to waste money. I'm like "ok". So she proceeds to tell me that she had a Mexican family with 3 kids lie about their income and during the check they didn't qualify for the promotional product that is given at the end. At this point I am getting very angry; because why is she telling me this. So then she starts asking me the same questions again and telling me about the Mexican family again. At this point I told her I can leave.

I have been on vacation for 5 days and only have 2 days left; I have already went to the parks that I planned to go to. I don't need the item that I was promised for touring the resort. She says "ok" and tells the person at the desk that I said I didn't work now and would be starting the next week. The rudest part is that the two stand right in front of me and started to speak Spanish and she walked away. I felt like showing all kinds of proof that I qualified to be there but in my right mind I knew I had no need to prove anything to her.

As I said before I have previously toured 2 different resorts. I know you can't do a "background check" as she called it at the end. You didn't ask for my social security number or anything. I'm not stupid like she tried to make me out to be. The person in charge did offer to let me tour with another person. But I declined and just wanted to leave. You can't make someone feel like a liar and less than a human and expect them to overlook what happened. I would like to say that she was not a natural born citizen herself. She had a deep accent. It is my belief that she felt I was wasting her time and would not purchase. I have never had one of these people continuously ask me about my income and how many bills do I have. And not to mention hearing about the Mexican family that didn't qualify at the end. If I were going to purchase anything at that point it would not be with Westgate.

We stayed at Westgate Vacation Villas in Kissimmee, FL 11-18 April 2015. We felt pressured into the so-called 90 minute presentation on the benefits of owning with Westgate. We were even offered a free lunch in conjunction with the presentation. The lunch amounted to a hot dog, nacho chips (no salsa or con queso cheese) and chili. Subsequent to lunch, over the next 3 hours we were subjected to 3 different high pressured sales personnel, the last of which verbally offered a unit to us at no up-front cost. Thankfully we declined all offers and were told that we could NEVER stay at ANY Westgate facility.

Information we received indicated that Westgate Resorts would be asking for comments regarding our stay in the Kissimmee facility. We waited almost 1 month to receive this request for feedback. Since we had received none whatsoever, we tried providing them to the email address that was on one of the papers we received upon checking in (villasguestservices@wgresorts.com). It came back to us undelivered as an "Invalid recipient". The following was our feedback: The good thing - Housekeeping staff and Security personnel were very efficient, polite and friendly. They were the nicest of all your employees, by far!

What needs work: 1) Some information we received when we checked in alluded to Westgate doing recycling. We could not find any specifics in our welcome papers or in our suite that provided details about this. As a result, ALL our trash went into the trash trailer. 2) Signs indicated that the trains providing transportation around the complex would pass by our stop about every 10 minutes. After waiting for the train 3 times we concluded that the sign was a misprint, since it actually was about 20 minutes. 3) Communications with the welcome staff was difficult due to their broken English. 4) There is NO supervision at pools. We observed more rowdy play than we have ever experienced at other resorts. 5) Pool hours are not enforced, especially late at night. The hot tub, which was fairly close to our back patio, was being used several times after hours.

    6) Our key cards seldom worked, even after Security came to our room. It would work once or twice and then would work only after several attempts, or not at all. 7) Many Westgate employees DO NOT observe the posted speed limits when driving their golf carts around the property. 8) The sink in both bathrooms were very slow in draining. 9) The skylight in the loft has begun to visibly be covered over by debris. 10) The vertical blinds in our suite had many mismatched slats, both in color and in length. 11) The filter for the air conditioning is overdue for a change based on the amount of dirt trapped in it. 12) Our unit contained mismatched plates for meals.

Needless to say, but our decision NOT to purchase property with Westgate Resorts was the absolute right decision. I have to believe that the unit we stayed in is representative of what we would encounter if we bought there. In our estimation, Westgate Vacation Villas were the second worst of the 7 resorts we have stayed at in the Orlando area over the past 6 years. The fact that we are prohibited from making reservations at ANY Westgate Resort because we did not buy, does not bother us in the least since we would never want to this type of experience again anyway.

SE were told that we needed a family income of $500,000.00 to qualify blah blah blah.

The story constantly changed. WE could only get rid of them by setting our own conditions: Nonstop flights from our home city to Myrtle beach and that a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit be available for less than $4,000.00. They said the price was only going to be 169.00 up from 111.00... but check the credit card and they took a 224.00 making the stay 335.00. When I say the room is small it is half the size of a regular hotel room. If we were going to pay $100 plus a night we would have stayed some where much better than this.

We have owned at Westgate Vacation Villas in Florida for 19 years. We used to deposit with RCI but when we found there was an internal deposit service for fees a little bit less, we decided to deposit internally and use Westgate every 2 years - one week being our deeded week, the second week consecutively used the week after our deeded week (exchange). The fee was $150. When I tried to book my 2014 week for December 2015, we were told the fee now was $450!!! Because our week was a "resale" week. So as Westgate owners, paying the maintenance fees like everyone else, we are being penalized because of who we purchased from.

I notice that there was another Westgate owner who posted the same experience. This is not the first issue we had with Westgate. If there are any lawyers out there who are willing to take our issues and go after Westgate (low fee or pro bono, of course!) it would be appreciated by all! Every year, Westgate seems to find another way to scam people.

Our rep ** started out very nice and said that she would respect us from beginning to end whether we purchased a timeshare or not. Well, she lied. Our 90 min. tour lasted 4 hours. When she finally realized that we were not going to buy she started grabbing everything off of the table very rudely and walked off. Then when my husband and I was having a private conversation she walked back to our table and made very rude comments. All of the so call managers saw her demeanor no one reprimanded her or came to us to apologize. The people at the resort are fake and total jerks. Got home and read so many horrible reviews. Decide to give it a try. I use my "ownership" to book January 1st. Not available. Go through Expedia and it happened to be available. Looks like non members have the perks. I found in my contract that I have 10 days to get out of it. No one bothered telling me that. Do not buy with Westgate. Total scam. Too long to explain it all, but read the reviews. Just my dues and fees which could possibly increase end up being 700 per year after it's paid for. So I pay 10,000 for a property that I have to pay 700 per year to use "if it's available" but my deed is only for every 2 years. So I pay 10,000 for deed and 700 per year after it's paid for to only use it every 2 years "if" the dates I want are available? Nah, I'm good. Huge scam.

They will provide you with the best service to get you to buy a timeshare property. We were provided breakfast and a tour that took up half of our day. The property was very nice, but what they don't tell you upfront is how much it costs. Once you sign the documents you will find out that everything was a scam. You'll not get the benefits that you paid for. You will be sent paperwork to upgrade your membership when you haven't had a chance to try the timeshare. Then you will be stuck with them.

I have been an owner for almost 4 months and have called Westgate to try and get out of contract due to medical bills to only be told that I have to figure out a way to sell it myself. They do not want to refund any money. Do your research before buying with this company. Vacationing is about research and having fun and what I am realizing is that you can rent a nice resort at a cheaper rate than what Westgate has been offering. They say that they will match rates, but it has to be for "apples to apples". I wish I hadn't fallen pray to the "high pressure" sales pitch. Now I have to figure out a way to get out of the contract. If you have another way of receiving great deals, use it and stay away from timeshares. They just want your money.

Then on every stay they set up an appointment to get you to upgrade. If I wasn't concern about my credit I will let it go back. I dread paying for this property every month. We have a two bedroom even years, but we decided to do a one bedroom this May, we had to pay a fee of $150, no problem. I called to change the check in date from the 2nd to the 3rd and they told me I would have to pay another $150, to change it one day. I'm very angry with Westgate. There's nothing creditable about this greedy company.

Smoke detectors beeping, service removed all three of them for 24 hours and then sent service at 10:30 PM to replace the next night. Icemaker was leaking. Room was cleaned twice during the week we stayed there! When asked to speak to manager they took my information and he never called. Their staff spends most of their time trying to sell a timeshare as opposed to providing service to their guests. Poor placement of pool on premises, you continually have to move in order to get sun.

Before I tell my experience I want to share right away what was hard for me to find online. Per Nevada statutes, you have 5 days to rescind and WG must receive notification via mail by midnight of 5th day. It is wise to send all materials given at time of closing with the rescission letter to avoid WG holding your refunded monies in addition to charging $50 for the materials. I was told by WG customer service rep, "Once you rescind, you have 1 year to change your mind. After that 1 year, you must re-attend a presentation and tour if interested." We won't be.

While in Las Vegas, My husband and I attended a "90 minute" presentation. We were told to be at the presentation by 12:20 as it started at 12:30. After getting checked in we waited until 1:20 before a representative even came to the waiting area to get us. We really liked the representative who showed us the presentation. What we did not like was the fact that 90 minutes turned into 4 hours!!! I asked numerous times to be given a few hours, even a day, to think about it before buying in. The pressure continued. The representative and her lead kept coming back with more incentives and reasons to buy right then and there.

Long story short...We bought in, thinking, "Why not? It sounds beneficial in the long run." After closing the deal, we were told we would be taken by limo to our dinner and show that we paid $40 for. We waited for the limo for 20 more minutes when the representative called this limo driver when we first went into the office to close the deal. Closing the deal alone took 30+ minutes. We were picked up in a SUV with a WG magnet on the door. When asked about the limo we were told all of them were booked for the day.

The next morning we went to Westgate for a welcome breakfast. None of the staff was friendly nor inviting. My husband accidentally spilled coffee on the table and me. 3 different staff walked past and stared but no one offered to help. Wet pants and all, I had to walk to the hostess and ask for a towel and napkins. We were brought a soaking wet rag to clean it ourselves. I was already having second thoughts about our decision and after the fake limo and now this breakfast, I was totally upset. At that time I felt as if WG does not deliver what they promise.

Once we arrived home from our vacation, we researched Westgate and became very frustrated with our decision to buy in as majority of reviews were of dissatisfaction by owners and non-owners. It felt confirmation that they indeed do not deliver what they promise. We looked into reviews from various sources ALL DAY & NIGHT because we know people will write about a negative experience faster than a positive one. However, it was day 3 of being a WG owner and I knew we only had 5 days to rescind. I recalled our presenter saying in a joking manner, "At least WG gives you 5 days to cancel." However, I could not find anything that confirmed that, other than online. After I finally found the notice of cancellation at the very end of the deed tucked away in the Velcro pocket of black binder given to us. I hurried to type a rescission letter and sent it along with the binder via FEDEX on day 4.

I called WG 2 days after sending materials back with rescission letter and was told everything was being deleted in their system and the money we spent with them would be refunded within 20 days. I was extremely happy to hear that. I was uncomfortable with the thought of waiting to see if we experience what others were experiencing because we would no longer have the option to rescind. We would be stuck paying for something we regret getting or attempting to sell the timeshare. I feel like we escaped a huge financial burden and unhappy/uncomfortable vacations. I hope this helps others.

I would never recommend this location to anyone..... ever! We started our trip by checking in (this took almost 45 minutes) after a 12 hour drive only to find the room had no water. NO shower, no toilets, no sinks, the water was completely out on the entire property and had been for several hours according to the front desk when I called. It would be good to note that I spent about twenty minutes trying to get anyone on the phone. When inquiring why no notification had been given and what an ETA for water would be or if they had any planned provisions they simply transferred me 5 times to get no answer. None of the persons I spoke with showed any empathy or concern and simply suggested transferring me to another person.

The water finally came on but not till very late in the evening. This posed a major inconvenience with children. Unfortunately the water pressure was never established and filling a tub was impossible. The furniture was also very worn and stained heavily. We did the tour and spoke with the sales person about a possible timeshare purchase and even expressed our concerns. Her pitch was mainly to insult us and ask for the sale. Using comments "You could stay stubborn or make a good choice for your family," and "If you didn't get the name of who you spoke to then what can I do?" Her mannerism was downright rude. When bringing up the water she acted as though it was not known and brought another guy over to talk to us about it. I politely advised them that if even they had not been communicated to of the problem then it is just a testament to poorly managed establishment.

They gave us vouchers to use on property that we redeemed at the grill. We walked into the grill and no employee could be found. We waited for about fifteen minutes before a gentleman came up and said someone would be with us shortly. This turned out to be another fifteen minutes. The food was less than sub par and I gave the second voucher away to another traveling family. This is also the only property I had ever been for Westgate that no assistance was given to the room.

One of the reasons we chose this location was for the shuttle to and from Disney, I inquired several times about the times and received multiple answers. Turns out all were wrong, you have to register for the shuttle and the times are very very limited. We ended up just driving ourselves and paying the twenty to park. The pools are totally unmanned and people were drinking, drunk, cursing, playing very loud non-family appropriate music, and constantly jumping in the pool splashing around making it impossible for me and my children to stay safely. After several attempts at multiple pools we gave up. The play ground on site is also next to the pool which was not a good idea with the neighboring activities. It was more like a frat house than a family pool.

If you call the front desk they just offer to transfer you to another person who offers the same. They show little to no concern. To top it all off on the day of checkout at just before 8 am we hear knocking repeatedly at the door. The kids are now woken and when answered we discover it is housekeeping asking us how much longer we would be because they want to clean the room. We asked "Isn't checkout at ten?", she replies "Yes, so when are you leaving?" We close the door in her face and didn't waste our time calling the front desk who rarely answers anyway. Because of this experience, I will never visit or recommend a Westgate again.

So, I gave a low income and was told that I didn't qualify. I asked the reason requesting specific details as to why my income matter and informed the person that I lied. Because the income was "too low" I was offered a vacation at a more expensive price. So, the less money you make the more you pay. How about that? I decided to call back and give an income closer to my actual income. However, my name must have been placed into a database because the person who answered hung up on me. I want television show producers to know how the people who watch their shows are treated.

I wanted to surprise my kids with a weekend trip to Wild Bear Falls indoor water park at the Westgate Resorts in Gatlinburg Tn. I call to make a reservation and speak to **. I ask for info before we decide on staying. He tells me we get the Tn 10% discount and would receive per each paying adult a free child's ticket. Awesome right? Well, I tell him we have 4 kids and 2 adults and he tells me the one bedroom deluxe room is what we need. Being the biggest of the three rooms they have left. I get all my questions answered and let him know I am going to go over this rate with my husband and call back. So, I call back and speak to **. I let him know I just spoke with ** and want to go ahead and make my reservation. He has to go over all my info again and give us the discount for Tn residents, no problem because I am excited.

I again let him know I have 4 kids and 2 adults that will be in the room and he assures me that yes, the one bedroom deluxe is our best fit... Well right before I get to the credit card info the call drops. I call back again, waiting on hold a very long wait due to high volume calls. I speak to **. I let her know what happened and I was worried because I didn't want to lose the room. I get an email confirming my reservation as I am speaking to her. I give her my reservation number and she pulls up my information. I notice on the email it states the room sleeps up to 4 people and I again ask this question: Is this room suitable for my 4 kids and 2 adults? I explain I already have been told twice that yes it would be suitable for our family size. She pauses and puts me on hold, I wait and she asks my kids ages and says this is going to be cramped.

I said well we just want to play all day and then rest at night and we would only be staying one night so if it is okay with them we would be okay with the limited space... I get placed on hold for several minutes and when she comes back she tells me "no, this room is not suitable for us and is a fire hazard". She doesn't want me to book the room because she said she has seen before where guests were told yes the room was okay and then at arrival they were turned away. My problem is had I not been disconnected with the previous caller, I would have had no room and lost my money due to not canceling in a timely manner! This is not okay! I do not appreciate being told a lie by two previous employees.

I would have drove 5 hours with 4 kids thinking we have a place to stay, and so since check in isn't until 4 pm and the water park opens at 11 am we were just going to play all day and then go check in. Had I been turned away, I would have had to leave and find another place to stay losing out on my money I would have paid for the room and the money for the water park because we would have to leave to make sure we have somewhere to go. This whole situation irritates me because I spent all morning on the phone and was told yes! Yes! Then no! Thankfully I was told before I showed up because I had to go ahead and cancel immediately.

We reserved a 2-night stay in a "King suite" with Westgate from Saturday to Monday last week (Feb 2015). We checked in and were directed away from the main building to a road-side unit about a city block away from the main building. As we entered our suite, we noticed there were no carpets or mats to wipe our shoes on, which meant we were tracking mud and eventually snow through our room. The bedroom opened up directly onto the parking lot, so there was absolutely no privacy. The door would not seal to the outside, and a chilly breeze blew through it all night, requiring us to run the heater constantly. The heater was strategically placed right under the curtains, and blew them open the whole time. I eventually used the antique alarm clock, generously provided to our room, to wedge the curtains shut...

The only other window had no curtains, and a mini-blind that had been poorly repaired with a coat hangar, but would only allow us to partially open them. The 3'x5' unframed mirror in the bathroom was loose on the wall, and had also been repaired with a piece of construction paper that was lodged behind it to keep it from wobbling so badly. The wallpaper was peeling in multiple areas, especially in the bath. Most of the lighting in the ceiling was missing their covers. The kitchenette was broken up in the 'suite.' The coffee pot was in the bathroom, and the microwave and fridge were stacked neatly on the floor in the corner of the closet with an extension cord running from the bedroom to power it. The indoor pool was not heated, and the hot tub was locked but the front desk guy said it was ok to just go around the closed sign and use it anyway.

On the day of our departure, Branson accumulated 5" of fresh snow. We waited to see if they would plow us out, but, as checkout time approached, I was unfortunately pressed to 'snowplow' my car back and forth for more than a football field of parking lot to unstick my front wheel drive car free.

I stayed at the Westgate in Orlando. The 2 bedroom suite was spacious, clean and reasonably priced for a non owner. The 4 adults staying were in town for a conference, so we didn't need access to parks or attractions, just business amenities. And specifically, internet. We were told we had one free access but everyone else would have to pay for additional connections. Since we could never get the first free connection to work, after repeated attempts, calls with customer service and their 3rd party technicians every day of our stay. We use the wifi facilities at other companies such as Starbucks, Chick fil A and more. I think Westgate Orlando is good for people traveling with children who want a Disney experience. But if you are a business traveler stay away. All they want to do is sell you time shares. And I think the reason they don't allow you to use wifi is that you might uncover their nefarious scamming ways that are well documented from years of unhappy guests.

To start I have to tell you that when you are not already an owner upon check in you are hounded from the moment you walk thru the doors. Even though I was the only one in line for check in it took me nearly 25 minutes to get the room cards in my hands. When the check in clerk finished my check in he handed my paperwork to another man who shuffled me off to another counter. At that counter they tried relentlessly to get me to sit down for an hour and a half sales pitch. Ummmm what part of "no thank you" do you not get?

So I finally get to our room and one of the first things we spot are dead cockroaches on the floors. Ok so I'm grateful they were dead, but EWWWW gross! The room is a good size... the only positive thing. The decor and furniture including kitchen stove and refrigerator are outdated. The tile grout is dirty. The main thing I can say is not only will I not make reservations at this resort EVER again, you can guarantee I would not become an owner!

Mind you when we booked our room we took an additional 3 days and we can’t get out of their commitment.

Finally she tells us they will have another room, we will call you. Now we wait around and now it’s 430, we check in, the coffee pot doesn't work, we had to call maintenance. The iron board falls down, they are working at 8 am on top of us, if you don’t get up by 830 your sheets will never be changed. Now when we were to go on our tour we explained everything, he was very understanding and was sorry, but what about our tickets? We were promised for disney, nothing in regards to that. I believe they should have offered us a refund or another stay at a different time.

What about when we were to get to florida? They offered us a discount while we stay out there in a different hotel, they told us call so we did. The outcome was, oh i can’t do anything now because you already checked in. This is really a shame how they treat people. Not a pleasant experience at Westgate Resorts Las Vegas. My unplanned trip to Vegas started through checking prices at Hotels.com application on my phone. I had never heard about Westgate Resorts but was attracted by the low price per night at $45. So I continued to make my reservation for the weekend of Friday February 6th, 2015. Surprisingly, when receiving my totals, I was being charged for $44 for resort fees ($22 per night). The agent at Hotels.com explained to me that Westgate charges for use of their amenities (gym, pool, etc.).

On arrival to check in, I was explained that the resort fee is mandatory and it was $22+tax per night. Again I was surprised because this was not explained to me when making my reservation. The hotel looked very fancy, very elegant. Got to my room on the 11th floor (1157) to be exact. Got there a bit tired after my 4 hour drive and decided to unpack, got ready and went out to cruise the city. Came back to the hotel room and wanted to sleep and rest. My surprise again was that the elevators were right next door to my room and much noise came about. I thought it was an airplane but then I started to hear it more and more all throughout the day and night. I was too busy to think about complaining about the noise and since I was not in the room most of the time, and having to go through the hassle of moving my belongings to another room was out of the question. I decided to stay in my assigned room.

Shockingly, Saturday morning came about and housekeeping arrived before 9am waking me up after going to bed only a couple hours before inconveniencing me tremendously. This happened Sunday morning as well. Besides the elevator issue and housekeeping arriving extremely early, the room was very nice looking and had pleasant decorations. At my time of checkout, I told the person assisting me of what had happened and I received a rushed apology and nothing was offered to me to compensate for such experience.

After a few minutes, he went ahead and refunded me one of the resort fees $22+tax. Per my experience, I should have been refunded all fees since there was no gym available, only a cardio room, the pool was not available due to remodeling. I did not enjoy any of these services for such mandatory fee, and not to forget Wifi was supposed to be included as part of the fee, but when you tried to login, it asks you to select a price to use the hotel's Wifi internet. Almost forgot, $3.50 for a cup of coffee that should be free and a 1 liter bottled water at $4.00 per bottle. A hotel should provide these for free, not charge for everything you use. I won't be surprised if next time, the hotel starts charging for the towels and soap you use. This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I doubt I would want to stay there again.

Everything they said is lie like rug. When you them this what the reps said they don't know you. All I can say is this David A. Siegel is #1 thief, got rich by lying to the owner & training his reps to do the same.

In 2008 my wife and I attended a Westgate Resort in Gatlinburg, Tenn. while we were there on vacation. We went through 2 or 3 sales people and before we knew it we had purchased a Timeshare. I have now has the timeshare for 7 years and have never been able to use it. It seems the times I bought are when I can't go. I am still paying an ever increasing maintenance fee for something I have never used. I talked to a Westgate representative and tried to sell it back but I was told they do not do that. I have been trying to sell it for a fraction of what I paid for it but have had no luck.

I was also told by Westgate that before I could sell it I have to give them the first option and I have to send them a purchasers agreement with the person to whom I am selling. I have also found out it takes several months to get a clear title from Westgate after I paid it off. This is by far the biggest financial mistake I have ever made. I just wish I could get rid of it.

After speaking with the rep in LV, we asked how the issue of exchange rate would be handled. Surprisingly they had no idea and after some consultation amongst themselves, determined that the bank would give the proper exchange rate when sending over funds. For the last three months, an agent from the co called finance and collections department called to inquire about our payments, and we assured them they had our cheques on file.

After a short search, each agent found the cheques. No issue. HOWEVER, last week I received a call indicating that no payment has been received as of yet and we are in arrears. Funny thing is that our bank had processed the funds. After talking with the agent, she indicated that Canadian Funds weren't good (perhaps due to exchange rate - which is odd as the banks should send out the appropriate funds and yes adequate funds are in the account). She suggested I apply for a WESTGATE MC but I doubt she has a clue since to apply for one you MUST BE A US CITIZEN. So at this point I am ready to communicate directly with the CEO as his staff obviously have no clue. It is now up to Westgate to locate my lost funds.

When they do contact me re Ground Rent I will pay what is due then I am going to sell through my Solicitor. By the way, they do contact me monthly to tell me my payment due. One sided I believe???

I stayed at WGR from 12/21/14-12/28/14 in Orlando. I prepaid the vacation a month in advance. My aunt is an owner & was told I was getting a great rate based upon her ownership & taking a tour. The morning of the tour came & I did not feel well. I went down to the tour desk approximately an hour and a half before the tour time & explained my medical emergency to the front desk rep. The front desk rep took my name, package id #, tour time, etc. I was shocked 2 weeks later to find out I was charged a no show presentation penalty fee of $700.

I called and faxed in a complaint letter immediately and upon speaking with a supervisor I was told that although I presented myself to the front desk & had a medical emergency, I would have to pay an additional $700 on top of my prepaid amount. I was never advised by the front desk rep that only paperwork from the ER department of a hospital would be required not to be penalized nor was I offered or told if they had an in house infirmary. The supervisor refused to credit me back the penalty fee & said that everyone could say they have migraine & not take the tour in which case Westgate would go bankrupt! I am appalled and in a huge financial hole now. How can they get away with this? Thieves!!

After 2 months of waiting for the membership cards so we could begin using the travel package we called repeatedly and just get bounced from one phone number to another. Each representative claims that we need to speak to another department. When you finally do get someone there is nothing available or the "discounted" travel packages are about 3 times more than you could purchase them for anywhere else. If there was any way to get out of this scam I would sure like to know about it!!! This "business" should not be allowed to operate in any state!!! Who do you go to for help?

The reality: The week I want has never been available in 14 years. However it is always available in Expedia or any other site that you don't need to be an "owner" to book. The price for booking a week through Expedia at this moment is cheaper than the cost of my maintenance a year ($700+ as of today) and it is always available. And after all when you finally accommodate YOURSELF and go; they are over you like vultures trying to sell more of their "great product." It is simply a disgrace.

There was an unauthorized charge on my credit card and the manager or accounting cannot explain this. I noticed on 11/17/2014 I had a hold on my account for $12.45. I called the resort at 10:55 a.m. and the representative could not explain the hold. I then spoke with manager Chris on 11/18/2014 at 11:12 a.m. after a direct draft did not clear my bank due to this hold. They also had a hold of $50 for my room deposit which I was aware of, but the $12.45 was not authorized and I am on a budget and manage my money. So, everything else is accounted for bills.

After speaking to the manager he said he did not see the hold on their end and would refer to accounting. A little while later a lady named Eva ** returned my call and said the only charge is for $19.97. I then faxed her my concern on 11/18/2014 with my attached bank statement showing the hold and late fee, stating I am aware of this, my issue is the hold for $12.45 as I explained to Chris. I explained this hold has caused me to have late fees with my bank and now with the vendor who tried to take out the direct draft. I have had no response from the business and it is now 11/21/2014. My understanding unauthorized holds on my card are illegal.

A month ago I came home in the evening and had forgotten about this hole and hit it with my truck, "Toyota 4 wheel drive" and snapped the front drive shaft knuckle joint and tore up my chrome rim. This was a $370.00 dollar repair and my truck was down for 3 days, that did not cover the {RIM}, just the drive shaft. Upon checking at the front desk, I was advised that a credit card required to place a hold for security purposed. On September 1, 2014 as I check out, I ask the front desk clerk, when will the $50 be refunded back to my account, "he said he was not sure". After about a week, I called Westgate Resort because the money was not in my account. I was informed that it takes 7-10 days.

I have called back several times at 10 days and was advised of the same scenario. I called on 9/10/2014 at 8:05 a.m. On 9/13/2014 at 3:56p.m., I spoke to Amanda, who said she sent an email to the account department because no one is there at that time to assist. She advised that someone will call me back. On 9/18/2014 at 8:09 a.m. and spoke to a clerk at reservation who also advised me that she is sending another request to the accountant department. I am yet to hear back from anyone from Westgate. She also provided me with a contact number to the accountant department, which was incorrect. I called again on 9/23/2014 at12:46 p.m. and spoke to another front desk clerk who advised me that I need to contact Hotel Corps. Com at (800) 620-4857.

The clerk also mentioned that they tried to contact my bank and was given the wrong fax number. Per the clerk, this situation is unusual. She said I need to contact my bank and provide Westgate with a fax number for my bank. I said that was unheard of and I have never has to provide a hotel with a bank fax number. I spoke to Melvin 9/23/2014 and 9/24/2014 at Hotel Corp, who has informed me that I need to speak to the Welcome Center. I spoke to Ali 9/24/2014 at the Welcome Center who tried help and transferred me again with not answer. We were at Westgate Resort Palace, Orlando Florida. We got the timeshare from online where it includes airline tickets as well. So we inquire for where can we borrow a ball for one of their amenities in the front desk, and we met this guy told us where to go, then ask us do we like to go to their breakfast on Sunday, we are hesitant to go, but the guy gave us a card where he said we can use the amenities in the resort and we don't have to pay, just go to the breakfast the next day. So for that small favor we accept the card and went to the breakfast. So we ate then listen to the rep for presentation, of course it's an offer to buy the timeshare, very persuasive to make a sale, we said we don't want to buy. But then we told the rep that my Aunt owns one and I am having trouble to change the name on the timeshare, she died and she left 3 children already in their legal age. We told the rep that last year we spend sometime to change the name, sent fax with my Aunt's death certificate and birth certificate of my cousins, you know what no one responded to that fax, of course the fax went through. Called the number, no one answers.

So we stop in that matter. Now that we were telling this story to the rep ** every year, purchased 1998, but in a certain week so she can only take a vacation on that week and has to pay for an exchange, in other works it's fixed.maintenance every year. It's really expensive. How this happened, of course our names were on that time share, although it's my Aunt's. We thought of it, called my cousin from the overseas. So we told the rep ** that we are buying it after talking to my cousin, she is coming in October, can they add her name on the deed or the title of the timeshare since we are buying it for her. Sales rep said of course no problem, that can be done, we taught it's a good idea. We ask for this so many times, and he keep on saying yes, we will send you the paper works, she sign her name will be added, we will do an addendum on the title. So we end up to the State of Florida Notary Public Closing Officer, before the further signing, we ask again, the rep said we can do an addendum for additional name on the timeshare. Sure there will be a 30 days processing and after it has been registered then, she said they will do it.

But 30 days already past, it the end of September so we decided to call the sales rep & the notary public closing officer. In one of the conversation, sales rep said he will help us, he just have to check it with his supervisor, told us to call the notary public closing officer because he said she's better to help us anyway that is job. We called the notary public officer, she did not answer, so we sent a text message, she replied she's in a meeting, she will call us back. Did not call back that day. We did another call, so it's a toss around back and forth. So the other day Westgate resort called our house number, so we did return their call hoping that it's because of what we are waiting for, the lady said it is a courtesy call, when we ask her about adding a name on the time share, she gave us a number to call, saying there is a fee to do that. Not mentioned when we keep asking the rep ** when he was selling the timeshare, he said we will do an addendum on the title of the timeshare, that is really upsetting. Who wants to pay more. We taught we did a good deed, a very good favor for my cousin.

So today I called the rep again, he said it's out of his hands and the notary public closing officer is the one who's going to help us with that matter, and we should call the notary public closing officer, we called her did not answer, we left a message. But we call her back again the notary public closing officer, she said she cannot help us on it because it has to be done within 2 weeks, from the time the time share has been bought. If they told us that in the beginning, or during the transaction we did not buy this timeshare. She said we need to pay a fee to do it. So we called the rep **, he said he will help us, call again tomorrow. My cousin is already here and maybe it's not going to happen. We called the customer service, same thing she is firmed with there will be a fee to add a name, and we can not get our money back because we already started paying the interest twice. So the down payment, we can not take it back. What a scam.
