I love my ownership over @ Westgate, and as much as I love my ownership I think we as owners should get together and change the problem that is creating a problem in the staffing and locations to our joint ownership to Westgate Resorts. Once my pops told me I was destroying everything with 1 hand that took 2 to build, so let's not allowed what's hurting our investment go any more down…

2015 Westgate Villa Visit - We went to the owner update 2015. My wife walked away and would not sign the paper about the 1 1/2 hour orientation when they asked for $20, because she knew that it would be like it always is. But I wanted to see if they had stopped trying to sell us another unit. The young man we had was very conversational and was polite. We were firm that we did not need another unit. We were going to leave after the 1 1/2 hour orientation even if we did not get food certificate for food at Westgate. It was exactly 1 1/2 hours.

Please, whoever reads this don't buy into Westgate. I have been there 10 years and I only stayed 1 day in my resort and they got major money out of us. We decided not to give them anymore money so I guess we will go into foreclosure. We paid the whole thing off, it's the maintenance fees that is getting us. It starts of $399, now it's $800. We got divorced and neither can afford nor do we want it. So they say, "Sell it." Ok, I have a buyer, they tell them "You don't get the same benefits as the original buyer for them. They have to pay $400 wherever they go even on your week." Who want to pay that? They can take a great vacation without being harassed.

So I try to give back the deed, they wouldn't take it. I write them a little, send them the divorce papers and tell them we would be more than happy to sign the deed. They say NO and continue to harasses me. They said, "Gift to your child." Who the hell would do that? PLEASE, PLEASE don't make the same mistake we did 10 years ago. It's a life sentence. No way out but bad credit now when it was perfect. Enjoy your trips on your OWN. And David, shame on you. There are reason for people to get out of this. Shame on you for making it so hard. Your glory maybe on this earth but heaven knows where your true heart is. Not good.

My husband and myself were on a timeshare tour with Erin ** #** in Orlando, Florida. Ms. ** was very nice and professional but after we return back to the property after the tour and we informed her that we would not be purchasing a timeshare, her attitude changed. She said things to use such as, "if you cannot put the small down payment that they are asking about, why would you want to look at the property that is forty-thousand, that just do not make sense to me." My husband and I was very shock how she change so quickly. I know we were not the first and will not be the last that did not purchase a timeshare from Ms. **.

We are business owners and I plan on sharing how we were treated on the tour by the guide. We love to vacation in Florida but next year Westgate most likely will not be the stop. Would love to purchase a timeshare but scared that we would get the same treatment again. Everyone else that we spoke with was very nice and professional and they could not understand why she would say such things to us when we told them. I know that the president of the company would not approve of this behavioral at all. Sorry to say, but you miss out on a buy Ms. ** and Westgate.

My boyfriend's 5 year old son wanted to go to Legoland for his birthday and I was under the impression that I was booking a room at Legoland (false advertising). Soon after I realized that it wasn't Legoland (should've known better) but it was fairly close. What they offered me seemed like a good deal. It wasn't the Legoland but they offered 3 free tickets with a 2 night stay and I got all excited about it because my boyfriend's 5 year old son wanted to go there for his birthday.

We were talking about Legoland for few weeks and my boyfriend was hoping that we would find the way to stay at Legoland hotel (everything was booked for months). I just wanted to be done with it. We booked it. They mentioned some kind of mandatory tour in order to get those free tickets. They were unclear about it so I thought it was a group tour to Legoland. They asked me questions about our combined income and etc., which I found strange, but didn't really think about it much.

I called 2 weeks later to confirm the reservation and I was told that everything was fine. I wasn't able to get Friday am off so we decided that he'll leave early with his son and his sister's kid and I'd leave after I get off work that same day. I tried calling the hotel on Thursday. Must've called 50 times. Lines were busy or no one answered. I called HotelsCorp numerous times but didn't get anything resolved. At one point I told them that they need to put me in a different hotel because my boyfriend is checking in first with 2 kids age 4 and 8. They said they would charge me $49 for cancellation fee. I asked to speak with a manager. After being put on a hold forever I finally got to talk to a manager.

He assured me that everything was fine and that he personally made a call to a hotel manager on his private cell and that we were good to go. I wanted to believe him because I didn't want any last minute complications. Next day I called the hotel to confirm everything and they knew nothing about it. We switched $54 deposit from my card to my boyfriend's card and they didn't even have his name. He had to drive 4 hours with 2 kids from Miami to Kissimmee and it would've sucked if they couldn't find his name in the system! I made sure that didn't happen. We talked before I left Miami and he said that hotel was pretty crappy but he didn't go into details. We went there because of kids. I arrived there around midnight and when I saw the place I just got sick to my stomach.

I'm originally from Serbia, I traveled a lot, seen a lot of bad hotels and hostels, but this place takes the cake! Dirty, nasty, outdated, bedbugs, bugs, non working refrigerator, filthy bathtub, filthy coffee maker... Long story short - a hole in the wall! I couldn't apologize enough to my boyfriend. Even though he never asked for it, I just couldn't stop apologizing. He brought 2 kids into this ** and it was my fault. I felt so bad that instead of going to sleep after working for 8 hours and driving for 4, I spent next couple hours searching for a better place to stay. I decided to give up on my free Legoland tickets, cut my losses and get the hell out of there! I was lucky to find a spot at my favorite resort in Kissimmee, went directly to their website and booked a beautiful 3 bedroom villa without thinking twice. We also bought annual tickets for Legoland.

Should've done that at the first place. But I'm not worried about consequences because whatever these scammers try to do to me I'll be ready to fight back. I'm from Serbia and I know every scam in a book. It's sad that these people have been scamming hardworking middle class Americans for so many years. They approach you with a smile and when they realize that you won't buy into their scam they try to belittle you and make you feel worthless. Just remember that they are the worthless ones because they are the ones that have to scam people in order to get paid. Don't let them convince you that they are better then you because they are not. I'm not even upset about the raw deal that I got, I'm more upset about all of you that got scammed. You want to do something about it? Let's do it!

The first time my wife and I stayed in this hotel, it was all right. The room we checked into had a nice big flat screen TV, the furniture was leather, it was clean and looked newly remodeled. Unfortunately, our last stay was very different. I assume that first timers get a different experience than those whose names are already in the system. For our second stay we went straight to the Wastegate website (yes that is an intentional misnomer). My wife found some deal for two rooms at $29.00 a night for two nights - awesome because we were taking her dad to the airport in two days... We just had to sit thru a timeshare presentation, which was fine with me because I have no intention of ever wasting (Wastegate) my money on a timeshare. It's 2015 people, not 1983.

This is where an educated mind starts to see problems with the Wastegate method. They interrogate you over the phone about finances and marital status/cohabitation status. So, immediately, if you do not make X amount of dollars per year, or if you are single, you don't qualify for the reduced room rate at all. Also, the presentation is 90 minutes long*, but you get a free breakfast... Upon checking in to our room, we were once again whisked away to another kiosk where they asked us the same 20 questions about finances and cohabitation status that the phone reservation did.

Then they handed us a welcome packet (with coupons that weren't even worth using) and we went to our room. Immediately we noticed that our room was... not the type of room we had last stay. It appeared to be an outdated "Knights Inn" caliber room with rust spots around the tub. My father-in-law's room was dirty - sheets off bed, wet towels everywhere, socks on the floor... So we complained and he got a new room.

On to the timeshare scam. Keep in mind that Wastegate Resorts are primarily timeshares, and the LV location is a new acquisition (since the Hilton's realized this hotel wasn't worth remodeling or even owning anymore). There was constant noise from the on going construction everywhere on the main floor. We went to the presentation room, along with 50 to 60 other families and boyfriend/girlfriends. Once again we were asked the same 20 questions about finances and living situations. Then waited 30 minutes before we met our "representative" aka salesperson, took us to the breakfast room. First off, the food was bad. Second off, the salesperson eats with you... a little weird. About 10 minutes into small talk, the sales pitch begins.

It was incredibly loud in the eating area. The music was so loud we could barely hear our salesperson. I initially thought this was to drown out the construction noise, but later realized it was intentional so that you couldn't overhear the other salespeople telling the exact same BS story to other families at tables next to you. This story, "David Siegel is the most wonderful man in the world, best boss ever. He decided not to close this hotel for renovation so we could keep our jobs. I own a timeshare at the Flamingo Bay location. Just got back from our Park City, UT location, so beautiful... etc."

Anyone who has seen the "Queen of Versailles" documentary knows the pitch is BS. Other Wastegate locations have sued the owner for non-payment of wages, and the guy is in default on the LV location after a year of ownership. Of course he couldn't close for renovation. He needs that money to pay the lease and remodel his 90k sq.ft. home in Florida!

So now about 90* minutes in, we're still in the sales pitch. However, we couldn't get up and walk away because if you don't sit thru the whole presentation, they charge you 3x the price of the rooms, plus extraneous other fees. So we're held prisoner. The math involved in this pitch is erroneous. The salesperson intentionally scatter writes all over this piece of info paper to confuse you. They want you to believe that each vacation costs you more than $4k each year and that by purchasing a timeshare, you save money and build equity.

Hmm. So even if each vacation does cost roughly $5k, after 5 years that's only $25k spent. Now if I do the timeshare, it's $80k at 18% interest over 5 years, plus yearly maintenance and property tax fees... So that's roughly $156k spent over five years for 5 weeks of vacation (one week each year), not including airfare. Or broken down, $31,200 per yearly vacation in the first 5 years of "ownership." Hell yeah I'm saving money, sign me up! J/K for $31k I could vacation for a whole year in the Dominican, not one week. See the problem with this?

Basically, they take advantage of people trying to budget vacation. The people receiving the sales pitch are generally not swimming in money, hence why they signed up to see a presentation for a reduced room rate. What Wastegate does is manipulate the fact that the people trying to save money generally don't have any, which means they probably suck at math as well, and won't catch the devil in the details. Then they get them to sign up, and they're trapped with an overpriced timeshare they can never get rid of.

After a tour of the property , they show you the numbers, and begin the "used car salesman" routine. You know the one - "sorry I can't go any lower. But wait, let me disappear and talk to my manager..." This of course goes on 3 or more times. The "manager" surfaces eventually to offer you to buy a unit that someone foreclosed on - of course they did, they couldn't afford it in the first place! They don't tell you it's foreclosed. They say the person "upgraded" and had a balance left on the old unit.

The rep and the manager eventually got pissed off at us for not biting, and left and some other guy came out and gave us a survey of how we liked the property and our rep, but not without once again trying to offer us a timeshare deal. By now 3 hours* have gone by. My wife was so mad she got up from the table, and at that point the guy let us go. In order to finalize our presentation we had to take the sales sheet that was scribbled all over to a kiosk to get "closed out". The man led my father-in-law and I to the wrong desk... intentionally.

After standing in line for 20 minutes the woman at the kiosk informed us we were at the wrong place and kindly walked us over to the right kiosk. Remember, if we don't close our presentation we get charged 3x the price of our room, which was what the guy wanted to happen. At the end of all this, the one thing that broke my heart was during the presentation the staff got up and spotlighted a young family with a little girl who just purchased. The only thing that I could think was "there goes that poor girl's college fund."

I took my family (14 members) to Disney July 2013 and prepaid one week vacation at the Westgate located at Turkey Lake Road, Orlando FL. We experienced theft 2 separate occasions and when I reported the issue it was taken lightly and I felt harassed by the entire staff when I requested to be compensated by providing the receipt for the items purchased while in Orlando and the same items stolen from our unit. Before the theft happened in Orlando I signed an agreement for a week's vacation which I reserved for Miami South Beach June 28-July 5, 2015.

Upon arrival on June 28, 2015 I was disappointed with the horrible smell throughout the facility. I was also frustrated with all the broken electrical sockets, nasty shower, old and ticking ceiling fans and the bugs. I reported all of this early Monday morning to the manager on duty, Jose. Jose instructed housekeeping to clean my room immediately and every day thereafter and he agreed to waive the parking fee of $10/per day being that I was not informed about parking fees before arrival.

After a few days of the horrible smell, broken outlets and ticking fan I became very upset and demanded all of these items to be corrected immediately, and yes, I asked why the hell the room had not been cleaned and other items fixed as I requested several times. At that time the front desk guy claimed to be offended with my demands so he called the police to tell me to leave the property. Before I travelled 12 hours to get to the facility I called ahead of time and inquired if the room had a balcony and washer/dryer in the unit. I was told the facility was recently renovated and included everything I had at the Orlando location, which was not the case as there was no washer/dryer or balcony.

Westgate intentionally lie to take people money and don't care if they put you and your family out on the street while David Siegel states their mission is to take care of their customers because their customers are their best sales members. David Siegel should be ashamed that hardworking people are being taken advantage of and getting ripped off with little in exchange for all the money spent ahead of time. David Siegel's staff is lacking simple and basic customer service skills. The General Manager of the Miami South Beach location couldn't even return a simple phone call as the Manager on Duty, Jose, stated he would.

Today I've spoken with several Westgate people and they are just as incompetent as Michael **, and Kelly ** who is supposedly Correspondence Manager working directly under David Siegel. No doubt I can afford a vacation and I will be taking my money elsewhere to a more reputable business that cares about their customers, are honest, and providing what customers paid to have… a nice vacation. I will continue sharing my horrible experiences with Westgate and look forward to becoming a Marriott member!

Well we were told after making reservations and paying Mon in advance we had 2 bed with loft. We had 10 people going. Well not 30 minutes after we called they called us said they double booked and knocked us down. To 2 bed no loft. Well now what do we do for the 2 extra beds that the loft had. So anyways now at resort. Still got screwed. Got 2 beds. 1 unit was to have 2 double beds and 2nd king bed. Well we didn't get that either. Then half the pool bars are closed so you have to walk very far to the front to get drinks or food. Then the room charge machine goes down daily. So you can't charge to your room. You now have to get out of pool area, go up too your room, get in car to drive up fort just to get a drink.

Crazy. Every employee you ask question to either can't understand English or you get different answers to same question. This was not a good experience for our party of 10. Not enough beds. People on floor and couches. Plus even though you are poolside, still can't get drinks. KS have to drive to fort. We will never be back and now are looking to seek attorney for help to dump this crap. I used to own bluegreen. I think I will go back there. At least you get what you pay for and they don't lie.

We had a wonderful time with the sales rep (joking around and taking pictures) until he realized we knew the timeshare scheme he was pushing is a rip-off. After our first 'no thank you', he brought three other salesmen/managers to our table one at a time to offer better 'deals'... dropping from the original $72,000 down to $8,900! Our '90-minute presentation' took 3 1/2 hours (explained by the first rep that the clock doesn't start until after the meal, even though they held us long after).

They eventually let us go to pick up our gifts, but in the gifting office another rep pushed a 'different opportunity' with more gifts the next day. We ended up across the street the following morning for a 'travel club' presentation and went through the whole 4-people-pushing-a-product scenario, this time starting at $8,900 and dropping to $4,000. Give Westgate some credit: They gave us all of the stuff they promised (2 meals, $100 in cash, $50 credit at Planet Hollywood & $50 credit at Universal CityWalk)... but both presentations were significantly longer than 90 minutes. Besides, anyone who thinks timeshares are a good 'investment' is pretty much asking to be exploited by con men.

Told me I need to fax all this paperwork and my money they stole with the first charge would be returned. I jumped through all their hoops. And instead of returning the first $400 they charged us $478 and 2 days later charged us $600. And when I called and demanded to speak a supervisor, a woman came back on the line and when I told her they were not suppose to be charging us anything and was suppose to of already returned the first money they stole. Yes I was angry but never ugly. And as I am talking to her and I said "I will be getting all my money back from you thieves", she laughed and said "Good luck with that" and hung up on me. Lucky for us all that paperwork they wanted faxed back, I have our bank fax it all.

When I called our bank after she hung up on me I filed a complaint and the bank called to find out why. They thought they could take all this money when we owe them nothing at all. They told the bank I never faxed them back the required paperwork. Thanks Westgate Resorts you lied and were got and now the bank is getting all my money back charging you all a service fee and filing fraud. Have a nice life with your self-righteous theiving self. The concerns were few, people greeted you properly everywhere you went, and the view was AMAZING! As soon as I did the presentation walk through with their sales department they changed. At first I bought into it cause the perks seemed outrageous. Ten minuets after I bought everything seemed different. 1st there was complications with the game room machine taking my money. 2nd the deposit was never returned to me regarding the weekend stay. 3rd the tickets to the attractions, the discounted airline tickets, the hotel stays, and any other perk was only after you owned for a year, which was not mentioned when we signed but was written in the small print.

4th it took 7 hrs out of my family's vacation time just to view the whole closing once I decided to buy. The whole day was gone, kids where sooooo irritated, and hungry and all they had to offer during this process was hotdogs and salad. Since this was discovered I decided to call and search the web for all the information I could find on this company. I also recorded the WHOLE Closing Process. Thank goodness for Consumer Affairs. I found the deep truth thorough all of the different reviews. The next day not even 24 hrs later I told the same people who closed the deal for my husband and I we had decided on canceling the purchase. ** (the closing officer) took another 2 hours of our family vacation offering us more and more solutions to the things we addressed as issues. None of which were really fixing the issues or concerns.

After being on hold another 30 mins she finally walked back in the office and told my family that if we wanted to cancel we had to do it in writing and mail it to the office in Florida. (which cost money of course) There was nothing else she could do. She could have said that when I came in the office to cancel at first. Well needless to say that all happened in March. Expected maintenance costs to decrease over time with additional owners, but continues to increase every year even though I suspect they have sold/resold units over and over again, as people just gave up. Financials and management surprisingly contracted to affiliate of original developer. Never seen it change. Annual update and voting documents favor majority owners...affiliates of original developer?

Owner products masquerade benefiting owners but utilize owner contacts to expand marketing pool with high-pressure tactics. Only provide referrals to people you hate. Website advertises specials but not applicable to someone that has stayed or is an owner at any of the locations. Additional fees apply. Their motto should be "sucker born every minute." I am one of them. Would sell "ownership" if I could recoup anything near what I have paid in. They sell similar units at 3-4x what they would be willing to buy from a current owner. First right to refusal is with developer. Specials offers look enticing but long term value is terrible. Pay to get in, pay to get out.

We are owners with Westgate and have our deed at the Myrtle Beach location. We had guests take one of our two units this week. The management was terrible. Our guests could not get checked in for several hours. They did not get unit that we pay for nor on our deed. Our guests were put in a unit, an older unit, which several years ago had to upgrade to get in the new tower. So we are paying more money but not able to use it this year after they have confirmation letter stating what they should be staying in. Westgate even tried to put them in a unit which was ocean view not oceanfront. We pay more for the oceanfront too.

I'm so upset with Westgate Resorts. Why would anyone want to buy if Westgate doesn't obide by their part of the contract. They expect their maintenance fees and monthly payments but they forget who you are after they get what they want. I was told several excuses as well as our guests, so the stories vary so someone is covering up their mess. I think they overbooked...someone messed up and they do not want to take care of it. It always seems to be a problem there...2 years ago, one of our units did not have air conditioning and was unbearable so we had to go out and purchases fans to tolerate the situation. We were told there was nothing they could do. The high maintenance fees and still yet they cannot keep the property running properly. Someone needs to investigate this resort.

While on vacation in Orlando we were stopped and asked about touring their facility. We went. They talked to us for a while and everything sounded great and expensive. The manager made it seem like he was making us a unique offer just for us. One that our sales rep hadn't even heard of. Well my mother and I bought into the lies. After half the day spent we were off. We got home from vacation and did some looking online. The same deals are offered to everyone just at different prices. Just depends on how many times you say no. So I sent the rescission letter and had more than enough time in the 10 days. We purchased on 5/28 and they received the letter on 6/4. Today I received a letter thanking me for my purchase. I sure hope this is computer generated or I will be calling the Attorney General's office if I don't get my money back soon. I went for the discounted vacation and paid like 300, and had to do the presentation for them to sell me a timeshare. I paid my timeshare off in the 120 days so I didn't have the interest to pay. Sent all kinds of friends. Then same year took my week and found that they hadn't sold me what they specifically showed me I was buying. So the first 3 days I was there I tried to speak to a manager about it.

They admitted because the person who sold it to me was still there. And I wanted to face him and let them hear what he directly told me I was buying, since they didn't want that they admitted what I was told I was being sold and what they actually sold me were two different things. Like the big screen TV's -- the ones they show people you buy are huge, like 70, like where you stay when they give the presentation. The ones we got were like 40 inch screens. The floor plans were the same, except the rooms were dramatically smaller, where you had a huge Jacuzzi garden tub in what you're shown with and get for the stay when they do the presentation. What you get when you go back is a regular-size tub so close to the bed. If you turned the Jacuzzi on, there's no way the bed couldn't get soaked. You have little room to put anything and feel crowded to death.

When I spoke to them it was admitted I was done wrong but they were unwilling to give me what they had represented to me that they had sold me. They were only willing to do an upgrade which meant more money. I didn't want a upgrade and my rental is paid for. They wasted nearly 3 days of my vacation and could only come up with the same solution -- I could upgrade and go to 5 bedrooms for ten thousand more than what I had done paid but they wasn't willing to give me what I had paid for to start with. So for 32,000 dollars one room I had already paid for they couldn't give me that but tried telling me they'd give me 3 of the rooms exactly like I paid for and two smaller ones for ten thousand more.

Sorry, how can you trust that? And wasted my whole vacation trying to get it straightened out and never did. My vacation was ruined. They wasted all my time, all the money I paid, plus the 789 maintenance fees for this year, and I got to be disappointed and not have a good vacation. I only wish they'd of been honest 'cause it really is a nice place to go if their employees were about quality. They don't have to cheat people that way. They have a nice resort. They need to be honest with them. It's the dishonesty that will keep me from telling my friends to buy.

I was approached by one of the people recruiting people to take a timeshare tour. I have previously taken timeshare tours in the past so I was ready for the 2 hours that it usually takes. When I arrived at the Westgate Resorts for my tour I waited about 20 mins before they called my name for my turn. I was taken to the area in which they promised breakfast buffet was being served. I sit down with the representative and she starts to ask me questions such as about my income. I told her I am switching departments on Monday. This is something I told the person who initially signed me up for the tour. I tell her my income. She asks if I own or rent my home. I own is what I tell her. And this is true as was all the information that I had given. She asks me if I have other bills to pay besides my home. I told her "no". I don't have a car note or bills besides basic monthly living expenses.

She proceeds to tell me that they are going to do a check at the end of the presentation to see if I am telling the truth. Now she says this several times. So I said "ok". She tells me that they pay the recruiters for the tours $350 for each person and they don't want to waste money. I'm like "ok". So she proceeds to tell me that she had a Mexican family with 3 kids lie about their income and during the check they didn't qualify for the promotional product that is given at the end. At this point I am getting very angry; because why is she telling me this. So then she starts asking me the same questions again and telling me about the Mexican family again. At this point I told her I can leave.

I have been on vacation for 5 days and only have 2 days left; I have already went to the parks that I planned to go to. I don't need the item that I was promised for touring the resort. She says "ok" and tells the person at the desk that I said I didn't work now and would be starting the next week. The rudest part is that the two stand right in front of me and started to speak Spanish and she walked away. I felt like showing all kinds of proof that I qualified to be there but in my right mind I knew I had no need to prove anything to her.

As I said before I have previously toured 2 different resorts. I know you can't do a "background check" as she called it at the end. You didn't ask for my social security number or anything. I'm not stupid like she tried to make me out to be. The person in charge did offer to let me tour with another person. But I declined and just wanted to leave. You can't make someone feel like a liar and less than a human and expect them to overlook what happened. I would like to say that she was not a natural born citizen herself. She had a deep accent. It is my belief that she felt I was wasting her time and would not purchase. I have never had one of these people continuously ask me about my income and how many bills do I have. And not to mention hearing about the Mexican family that didn't qualify at the end. If I were going to purchase anything at that point it would not be with Westgate.

We stayed at Westgate Vacation Villas in Kissimmee, FL 11-18 April 2015. We felt pressured into the so-called 90 minute presentation on the benefits of owning with Westgate. We were even offered a free lunch in conjunction with the presentation. The lunch amounted to a hot dog, nacho chips (no salsa or con queso cheese) and chili. Subsequent to lunch, over the next 3 hours we were subjected to 3 different high pressured sales personnel, the last of which verbally offered a unit to us at no up-front cost. Thankfully we declined all offers and were told that we could NEVER stay at ANY Westgate facility.

Information we received indicated that Westgate Resorts would be asking for comments regarding our stay in the Kissimmee facility. We waited almost 1 month to receive this request for feedback. Since we had received none whatsoever, we tried providing them to the email address that was on one of the papers we received upon checking in (villasguestservices@wgresorts.com). It came back to us undelivered as an "Invalid recipient". The following was our feedback: The good thing - Housekeeping staff and Security personnel were very efficient, polite and friendly. They were the nicest of all your employees, by far!

What needs work: 1) Some information we received when we checked in alluded to Westgate doing recycling. We could not find any specifics in our welcome papers or in our suite that provided details about this. As a result, ALL our trash went into the trash trailer. 2) Signs indicated that the trains providing transportation around the complex would pass by our stop about every 10 minutes. After waiting for the train 3 times we concluded that the sign was a misprint, since it actually was about 20 minutes. 3) Communications with the welcome staff was difficult due to their broken English. 4) There is NO supervision at pools. We observed more rowdy play than we have ever experienced at other resorts. 5) Pool hours are not enforced, especially late at night. The hot tub, which was fairly close to our back patio, was being used several times after hours.

    6) Our key cards seldom worked, even after Security came to our room. It would work once or twice and then would work only after several attempts, or not at all. 7) Many Westgate employees DO NOT observe the posted speed limits when driving their golf carts around the property. 8) The sink in both bathrooms were very slow in draining. 9) The skylight in the loft has begun to visibly be covered over by debris. 10) The vertical blinds in our suite had many mismatched slats, both in color and in length. 11) The filter for the air conditioning is overdue for a change based on the amount of dirt trapped in it. 12) Our unit contained mismatched plates for meals.

Needless to say, but our decision NOT to purchase property with Westgate Resorts was the absolute right decision. I have to believe that the unit we stayed in is representative of what we would encounter if we bought there. In our estimation, Westgate Vacation Villas were the second worst of the 7 resorts we have stayed at in the Orlando area over the past 6 years. The fact that we are prohibited from making reservations at ANY Westgate Resort because we did not buy, does not bother us in the least since we would never want to this type of experience again anyway.

He offered us a free breakfast the next morning and I said that we were familiar with timeshares and did not want a sales push. He said that would not happen. What do you think happened? It was a sales push and we got no breakfast. Our timeshares that we own (Disney and Marriott) were dismissed as inferior. SE were told that we needed a family income of $500,000.00 to qualify blah blah blah.

The story constantly changed. WE could only get rid of them by setting our own conditions: Nonstop flights from our home city to Myrtle beach and that a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit be available for less than $4,000.00. Needless to say they walked away and we never saw the concierge for the rest of the vacation. Quality of the appliances was poor and furniture did not fit the space intended. The worst part of this was that we could not get hold of Westgate Management to complain - only the regular call center. WE are left with disgust for Westgate and bad feelings about Myrtle Beach. We used to deposit with RCI but when we found there was an internal deposit service for fees a little bit less, we decided to deposit internally and use Westgate every 2 years - one week being our deeded week, the second week consecutively used the week after our deeded week (exchange). The fee was $150. When I tried to book my 2014 week for December 2015, we were told the fee now was $450!!! Because our week was a "resale" week. So as Westgate owners, paying the maintenance fees like everyone else, we are being penalized because of who we purchased from.

I notice that there was another Westgate owner who posted the same experience. This is not the first issue we had with Westgate. If there are any lawyers out there who are willing to take our issues and go after Westgate (low fee or pro bono, of course!) it would be appreciated by all! When we got ready to take our tour to purchase of vacation home, we were denied the tour because we had toured in Las Vegas and they told us in Vegas it was better to purchase in FL if the is were we will stay mostly on vacation... Whereas we were denied the tour because we had toured 5 months and 3 weeks ago. And we were charged an extra 491.00 because we couldn't tour... They should have explained that and we would have just waited the next week. Now we have took off work to come and purchase it and couldn't...All because they wanted a few extra dollars. BUT I AM GOING TO TOUR ANOTHER RESORT. I WANTED TO BUY AT WESTGATE. But their phone and desk clerks are trying to make extra commission for themselves...AND LOST TRUE SALES...

Before I tell my experience I want to share right away what was hard for me to find online. Per Nevada statutes, you have 5 days to rescind and WG must receive notification via mail by midnight of 5th day. It is wise to send all materials given at time of closing with the rescission letter to avoid WG holding your refunded monies in addition to charging $50 for the materials. I was told by WG customer service rep, "Once you rescind, you have 1 year to change your mind. After that 1 year, you must re-attend a presentation and tour if interested." We won't be.

While in Las Vegas, My husband and I attended a "90 minute" presentation. We were told to be at the presentation by 12:20 as it started at 12:30. After getting checked in we waited until 1:20 before a representative even came to the waiting area to get us. We really liked the representative who showed us the presentation. What we did not like was the fact that 90 minutes turned into 4 hours!!! I asked numerous times to be given a few hours, even a day, to think about it before buying in. The pressure continued. The representative and her lead kept coming back with more incentives and reasons to buy right then and there.

Long story short...We bought in, thinking, "Why not? It sounds beneficial in the long run." After closing the deal, we were told we would be taken by limo to our dinner and show that we paid $40 for. We waited for the limo for 20 more minutes when the representative called this limo driver when we first went into the office to close the deal. Closing the deal alone took 30+ minutes. We were picked up in a SUV with a WG magnet on the door. When asked about the limo we were told all of them were booked for the day.

The next morning we went to Westgate for a welcome breakfast. None of the staff was friendly nor inviting. My husband accidentally spilled coffee on the table and me. 3 different staff walked past and stared but no one offered to help. Wet pants and all, I had to walk to the hostess and ask for a towel and napkins. We were brought a soaking wet rag to clean it ourselves. I was already having second thoughts about our decision and after the fake limo and now this breakfast, I was totally upset. At that time I felt as if WG does not deliver what they promise.

Once we arrived home from our vacation, we researched Westgate and became very frustrated with our decision to buy in as majority of reviews were of dissatisfaction by owners and non-owners. It felt confirmation that they indeed do not deliver what they promise. We looked into reviews from various sources ALL DAY & NIGHT because we know people will write about a negative experience faster than a positive one. However, it was day 3 of being a WG owner and I knew we only had 5 days to rescind. I recalled our presenter saying in a joking manner, "At least WG gives you 5 days to cancel." However, I could not find anything that confirmed that, other than online. After I finally found the notice of cancellation at the very end of the deed tucked away in the Velcro pocket of black binder given to us. I hurried to type a rescission letter and sent it along with the binder via FEDEX on day 4.

I called WG 2 days after sending materials back with rescission letter and was told everything was being deleted in their system and the money we spent with them would be refunded within 20 days. I was extremely happy to hear that. I was uncomfortable with the thought of waiting to see if we experience what others were experiencing because we would no longer have the option to rescind. We would be stuck paying for something we regret getting or attempting to sell the timeshare. I feel like we escaped a huge financial burden and unhappy/uncomfortable vacations. I hope this helps others.

Westgate is the most terrible experience that I ever had in my life. Last year my parents that are Brazilians and don't speak English were deceived by Westgate's representative. As everybody tells here, they are really pushy and sell a fantasyland! She promised that we would have for $995 1 week at the resort in Florida with all meals included and 1 week in any resort of the group around the world. They didn't say that we could use just after pay the whole amount and they didn't say we would have 10 days to cancel. Yes, this is on contract, but as they don't read in English, she should translate every word to them. I called on Saturday to do reservation and we found out all the liars. Breakfast is not included everyday, there's no other week around the world. I called now to cancel and they didn't accept it. I'll do everything that I can to burn them off in the market.

They wasted our time. We checked out of our hotel early to attend our 90 minute presentation 03/14/15. They let us sit 20 minutes before telling us that we would have to wait 45 more minutes to go on tour. Supposedly they had 4 sales people call off. They must not do a very good job with retaining or acquiring good employees. We did not have the luxury of waiting an hour as we had to head back home today. I suggested we tour along with another couple and was told no. I asked the position of the man we were speaking to--marketing mgr--to see if he could do your. He said no. I suggested they invite us back for a free stay and then we go to our tour then. Sales manager said no.

I would never recommend this location to anyone..... ever! We started our trip by checking in (this took almost 45 minutes) after a 12 hour drive only to find the room had no water. NO shower, no toilets, no sinks, the water was completely out on the entire property and had been for several hours according to the front desk when I called. It would be good to note that I spent about twenty minutes trying to get anyone on the phone. When inquiring why no notification had been given and what an ETA for water would be or if they had any planned provisions they simply transferred me 5 times to get no answer. None of the persons I spoke with showed any empathy or concern and simply suggested transferring me to another person.

The water finally came on but not till very late in the evening. This posed a major inconvenience with children. Unfortunately the water pressure was never established and filling a tub was impossible. The furniture was also very worn and stained heavily. We did the tour and spoke with the sales person about a possible timeshare purchase and even expressed our concerns. Her pitch was mainly to insult us and ask for the sale. Using comments "You could stay stubborn or make a good choice for your family," and "If you didn't get the name of who you spoke to then what can I do?" Her mannerism was downright rude. When bringing up the water she acted as though it was not known and brought another guy over to talk to us about it. I politely advised them that if even they had not been communicated to of the problem then it is just a testament to poorly managed establishment.

They gave us vouchers to use on property that we redeemed at the grill. We walked into the grill and no employee could be found. We waited for about fifteen minutes before a gentleman came up and said someone would be with us shortly. This turned out to be another fifteen minutes. The food was less than sub par and I gave the second voucher away to another traveling family. This is also the only property I had ever been for Westgate that no assistance was given to the room.

One of the reasons we chose this location was for the shuttle to and from Disney, I inquired several times about the times and received multiple answers. Turns out all were wrong, you have to register for the shuttle and the times are very very limited. We ended up just driving ourselves and paying the twenty to park. The pools are totally unmanned and people were drinking, drunk, cursing, playing very loud non-family appropriate music, and constantly jumping in the pool splashing around making it impossible for me and my children to stay safely. After several attempts at multiple pools we gave up. The play ground on site is also next to the pool which was not a good idea with the neighboring activities. It was more like a frat house than a family pool.

If you call the front desk they just offer to transfer you to another person who offers the same. They show little to no concern. To top it all off on the day of checkout at just before 8 am we hear knocking repeatedly at the door. The kids are now woken and when answered we discover it is housekeeping asking us how much longer we would be because they want to clean the room. We asked "Isn't checkout at ten?", she replies "Yes, so when are you leaving?" We close the door in her face and didn't waste our time calling the front desk who rarely answers anyway. Because of this experience, I will never visit or recommend a Westgate again.

After leaving a vote for a television show I was offered a "special deal of the day". I selected one of the Westgate Resorts and when I was transferred I was asked questions such as my age, marital status, and INCOME. Why would I give a complete stranger my yearly income? So, I gave a low income and was told that I didn't qualify. I asked the reason requesting specific details as to why my income matter and informed the person that I lied. Because the income was "too low" I was offered a vacation at a more expensive price. So, the less money you make the more you pay. How about that? I decided to call back and give an income closer to my actual income. However, my name must have been placed into a database because the person who answered hung up on me. I want television show producers to know how the people who watch their shows are treated.

I wanted to surprise my kids with a weekend trip to Wild Bear Falls indoor water park at the Westgate Resorts in Gatlinburg Tn. I call to make a reservation and speak to **. I ask for info before we decide on staying. He tells me we get the Tn 10% discount and would receive per each paying adult a free child's ticket. Awesome right? Well, I tell him we have 4 kids and 2 adults and he tells me the one bedroom deluxe room is what we need. Being the biggest of the three rooms they have left. I get all my questions answered and let him know I am going to go over this rate with my husband and call back. So, I call back and speak to **. I let him know I just spoke with ** and want to go ahead and make my reservation. He has to go over all my info again and give us the discount for Tn residents, no problem because I am excited.

I again let him know I have 4 kids and 2 adults that will be in the room and he assures me that yes, the one bedroom deluxe is our best fit... Well right before I get to the credit card info the call drops. I call back again, waiting on hold a very long wait due to high volume calls. I speak to **. I let her know what happened and I was worried because I didn't want to lose the room. I get an email confirming my reservation as I am speaking to her. I give her my reservation number and she pulls up my information. I notice on the email it states the room sleeps up to 4 people and I again ask this question: Is this room suitable for my 4 kids and 2 adults? I explain I already have been told twice that yes it would be suitable for our family size. She pauses and puts me on hold, I wait and she asks my kids ages and says this is going to be cramped.

I said well we just want to play all day and then rest at night and we would only be staying one night so if it is okay with them we would be okay with the limited space... I get placed on hold for several minutes and when she comes back she tells me "no, this room is not suitable for us and is a fire hazard". She doesn't want me to book the room because she said she has seen before where guests were told yes the room was okay and then at arrival they were turned away. My problem is had I not been disconnected with the previous caller, I would have had no room and lost my money due to not canceling in a timely manner! This is not okay! I do not appreciate being told a lie by two previous employees.

I would have drove 5 hours with 4 kids thinking we have a place to stay, and so since check in isn't until 4 pm and the water park opens at 11 am we were just going to play all day and then go check in. Had I been turned away, I would have had to leave and find another place to stay losing out on my money I would have paid for the room and the money for the water park because we would have to leave to make sure we have somewhere to go. This whole situation irritates me because I spent all morning on the phone and was told yes! Yes! Then no! Thankfully I was told before I showed up because I had to go ahead and cancel immediately.

We reserved a 2-night stay in a "King suite" with Westgate from Saturday to Monday last week (Feb 2015). We checked in and were directed away from the main building to a road-side unit about a city block away from the main building. As we entered our suite, we noticed there were no carpets or mats to wipe our shoes on, which meant we were tracking mud and eventually snow through our room. The bedroom opened up directly onto the parking lot, so there was absolutely no privacy. The door would not seal to the outside, and a chilly breeze blew through it all night, requiring us to run the heater constantly. The heater was strategically placed right under the curtains, and blew them open the whole time. I eventually used the antique alarm clock, generously provided to our room, to wedge the curtains shut...

The only other window had no curtains, and a mini-blind that had been poorly repaired with a coat hangar, but would only allow us to partially open them. The 3'x5' unframed mirror in the bathroom was loose on the wall, and had also been repaired with a piece of construction paper that was lodged behind it to keep it from wobbling so badly. The wallpaper was peeling in multiple areas, especially in the bath. Most of the lighting in the ceiling was missing their covers. The kitchenette was broken up in the 'suite.' The coffee pot was in the bathroom, and the microwave and fridge were stacked neatly on the floor in the corner of the closet with an extension cord running from the bedroom to power it. The indoor pool was not heated, and the hot tub was locked but the front desk guy said it was ok to just go around the closed sign and use it anyway.

On the day of our departure, Branson accumulated 5" of fresh snow. We waited to see if they would plow us out, but, as checkout time approached, I was unfortunately pressed to 'snowplow' my car back and forth for more than a football field of parking lot to unstick my front wheel drive car free.

I stayed at the Westgate in Orlando. The 2 bedroom suite was spacious, clean and reasonably priced for a non owner. The 4 adults staying were in town for a conference, so we didn't need access to parks or attractions, just business amenities. And specifically, internet. We were told we had one free access but everyone else would have to pay for additional connections. Since we could never get the first free connection to work, after repeated attempts, calls with customer service and their 3rd party technicians every day of our stay. We use the wifi facilities at other companies such as Starbucks, Chick fil A and more. I think Westgate Orlando is good for people traveling with children who want a Disney experience. But if you are a business traveler stay away. All they want to do is sell you time shares. And I think the reason they don't allow you to use wifi is that you might uncover their nefarious scamming ways that are well documented from years of unhappy guests.

I honestly wish that I had read the reviews before I booked this resort. We had a horrible experience! To start I have to tell you that when you are not already an owner upon check in you are hounded from the moment you walk thru the doors. Even though I was the only one in line for check in it took me nearly 25 minutes to get the room cards in my hands. When the check in clerk finished my check in he handed my paperwork to another man who shuffled me off to another counter. At that counter they tried relentlessly to get me to sit down for an hour and a half sales pitch. Ummmm what part of "no thank you" do you not get?

So I finally get to our room and one of the first things we spot are dead cockroaches on the floors. Ok so I'm grateful they were dead, but EWWWW gross! The room is a good size... the only positive thing. The decor and furniture including kitchen stove and refrigerator are outdated. The tile grout is dirty. The main thing I can say is not only will I not make reservations at this resort EVER again, you can guarantee I would not become an owner!

Went back to desk, they were gonna show us another room, had to wait twenty minutes for the man to show us room. Now we go, he opens door and people have their bags there, so how can we get that room? Now we go to look at another room. Go back to desk, asked for a refund, they quote you must pay full price with and add twenty five dollars to cancel. Are they kidding? So now we have to stay. Mind you when we booked our room we took an additional 3 days and we can’t get out of their commitment.

Finally she tells us they will have another room, we will call you. Now we wait around and now it’s 430, we check in, the coffee pot doesn't work, we had to call maintenance. The iron board falls down, they are working at 8 am on top of us, if you don’t get up by 830 your sheets will never be changed. The bathroom in the middle of the night you wake up thinking the ceiling is falling down with water running, it was a disgrace how we were treated on vacation. Now when we were to go on our tour we explained everything, he was very understanding and was sorry, but what about our tickets? We were promised for disney, nothing in regards to that. I believe they should have offered us a refund or another stay at a different time.

What about when we were to get to florida? They offered us a discount while we stay out there in a different hotel, they told us call so we did. The outcome was, oh i can’t do anything now because you already checked in. This is really a shame how they treat people. Also, everyone when you first get there is friendly, then once you’re through the doors, that’s it. Look around, not one smiling face.

Not a pleasant experience at Westgate Resorts Las Vegas. My unplanned trip to Vegas started through checking prices at Hotels.com application on my phone. I had never heard about Westgate Resorts but was attracted by the low price per night at $45. So I continued to make my reservation for the weekend of Friday February 6th, 2015. Surprisingly, when receiving my totals, I was being charged for $44 for resort fees ($22 per night). The agent at Hotels.com explained to me that Westgate charges for use of their amenities (gym, pool, etc.).

On arrival to check in, I was explained that the resort fee is mandatory and it was $22+tax per night. Again I was surprised because this was not explained to me when making my reservation. The hotel looked very fancy, very elegant. Got to my room on the 11th floor (1157) to be exact. Got there a bit tired after my 4 hour drive and decided to unpack, got ready and went out to cruise the city. Came back to the hotel room and wanted to sleep and rest. My surprise again was that the elevators were right next door to my room and much noise came about. I thought it was an airplane but then I started to hear it more and more all throughout the day and night. I was too busy to think about complaining about the noise and since I was not in the room most of the time, and having to go through the hassle of moving my belongings to another room was out of the question. I decided to stay in my assigned room.

Shockingly, Saturday morning came about and housekeeping arrived before 9am waking me up after going to bed only a couple hours before inconveniencing me tremendously. This happened Sunday morning as well. Besides the elevator issue and housekeeping arriving extremely early, the room was very nice looking and had pleasant decorations. At my time of checkout, I told the person assisting me of what had happened and I received a rushed apology and nothing was offered to me to compensate for such experience.

After a few minutes, he went ahead and refunded me one of the resort fees $22+tax. Per my experience, I should have been refunded all fees since there was no gym available, only a cardio room, the pool was not available due to remodeling. I did not enjoy any of these services for such mandatory fee, and not to forget Wifi was supposed to be included as part of the fee, but when you tried to login, it asks you to select a price to use the hotel's Wifi internet. Almost forgot, $3.50 for a cup of coffee that should be free and a 1 liter bottled water at $4.00 per bottle. A hotel should provide these for free, not charge for everything you use. I won't be surprised if next time, the hotel starts charging for the towels and soap you use. This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I doubt I would want to stay there again.

I have also found out it takes several months to get a clear title from Westgate after I paid it off. This is by far the biggest financial mistake I have ever made. Surprisingly they had no idea and after some consultation amongst themselves, determined that the bank would give the proper exchange rate when sending over funds. For the last three months, an agent from the co called finance and collections department called to inquire about our payments, and we assured them they had our cheques on file.

After a short search, each agent found the cheques. No issue. HOWEVER, last week I received a call indicating that no payment has been received as of yet and we are in arrears. Funny thing is that our bank had processed the funds. After talking with the agent, she indicated that Canadian Funds weren't good (perhaps due to exchange rate - which is odd as the banks should send out the appropriate funds and yes adequate funds are in the account). She suggested I apply for a WESTGATE MC but I doubt she has a clue since to apply for one you MUST BE A US CITIZEN. So at this point I am ready to communicate directly with the CEO as his staff obviously have no clue. It is now up to Westgate to locate my lost funds.

Westgate resort needs to be stopped - I will never do business or recommend anyone to do business with them in the future.

There was an unauthorized charge on my credit card and the manager or accounting cannot explain this. I noticed on 11/17/2014 I had a hold on my account for $12.45. I called the resort at 10:55 a.m. and the representative could not explain the hold. I then spoke with manager Chris on 11/18/2014 at 11:12 a.m. after a direct draft did not clear my bank due to this hold. They also had a hold of $50 for my room deposit which I was aware of, but the $12.45 was not authorized and I am on a budget and manage my money. So, everything else is accounted for bills.

After speaking to the manager he said he did not see the hold on their end and would refer to accounting. A little while later a lady named Eva ** returned my call and said the only charge is for $19.97. I then faxed her my concern on 11/18/2014 with my attached bank statement showing the hold and late fee, stating I am aware of this, my issue is the hold for $12.45 as I explained to Chris. I explained this hold has caused me to have late fees with my bank and now with the vendor who tried to take out the direct draft. I have had no response from the business and it is now 11/21/2014. My understanding unauthorized holds on my card are illegal.

Seems really expensive considering you get a really nice hotel room for much less $... and not be hassled to buy more, more, more. Just letting you all know what I'm paying. Hopefully I'm not getting charged more because I refused to give up my fixed week.

When I went back to Westgate, I was treated like I was trying to steal something. Mr. ** was very Rude and told me there was nothing he could do. Having never used the package I asked for my money back. Mr. ** informed me that I only had three days from purchase to cancel. Well how can you cancel something you don't have for at least two weeks to come in the mail. So now I'm stuck paying $4000.00 for something I can't use. I will be contacting the BBB with this complaint and beg anyone DON'T GET INVOLVED WITH Westgate of Gatlinburg TN, they are lying crooks.

I live in Greenleefe Resort and I have never had to drive on roads that have been so neglected. After talking w/ the association for the resort I discovered that several complaints were already made by other people than myself about this crater " hole in road " that has been there for over 2 months. A month ago I came home in the evening and had forgotten about this hole and hit it with my truck, "Toyota 4 wheel drive" and snapped the front drive shaft knuckle joint and tore up my chrome rim. This was a $370.00 dollar repair and my truck was down for 3 days, that did not cover the {RIM}, just the drive shaft. Not to mention a day's pay lost because I could not afford to take it to get fixed, I had to do it myself. A company that just don't CARE!!

We went to the office with pictures we took with our phones, and after that they was very nice with clean towels every day and a very clean room. The place was very nice to stay there. Some of the staff was kind of rude but Mr. Walter **, a driver of one of the van, was very kind of very talkative and a good spirit. One other was Mr. **, was helping building something. He was very helpful to help me find a bus area where I needed to be. Everyone else just points. I think that is very rude. The place is big and I don't think that is good customer service. The place is big and very nice but need more people like the two people I TALK ABOUT. They worry more about selling one of the condos. Sad for the other guests that's there on vacation.

To date, a copy of this correspondence has been provide to the BBB and not response as well the Westgate Resort & Spa 9/25/2014. I have booked a reservation with Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa on August 27, 2014 for my husband and me. The room was reserved for August 29th - September 1st, 2014. Upon checking at the front desk, I was advised that a credit card required to place a hold for security purposed. On September 1, 2014 as I check out, I ask the front desk clerk, when will the $50 be refunded back to my account, "he said he was not sure". After about a week, I called Westgate Resort because the money was not in my account. I was informed that it takes 7-10 days.

I have called back several times at 10 days and was advised of the same scenario. I called on 9/10/2014 at 8:05 a.m. On 9/13/2014 at 3:56p.m., I spoke to Amanda, who said she sent an email to the account department because no one is there at that time to assist. She advised that someone will call me back. On 9/18/2014 at 8:09 a.m. and spoke to a clerk at reservation who also advised me that she is sending another request to the accountant department. I am yet to hear back from anyone from Westgate. She also provided me with a contact number to the accountant department, which was incorrect. I called again on 9/23/2014 at12:46 p.m. and spoke to another front desk clerk who advised me that I need to contact Hotel Corps. Com at (800) 620-4857.

The clerk also mentioned that they tried to contact my bank and was given the wrong fax number. Per the clerk, this situation is unusual. She said I need to contact my bank and provide Westgate with a fax number for my bank. I said that was unheard of and I have never has to provide a hotel with a bank fax number. I spoke to Melvin 9/23/2014 and 9/24/2014 at Hotel Corp, who has informed me that I need to speak to the Welcome Center. I spoke to Ali 9/24/2014 at the Welcome Center who tried help and transferred me again with not answer. I am still not sure I am getting the run around from Westgate and no has responded to my request. We were at Westgate Resort Palace, Orlando Florida. We got the timeshare from online where it includes airline tickets as well. So we inquire for where can we borrow a ball for one of their amenities in the front desk, and we met this guy told us where to go, then ask us do we like to go to their breakfast on Sunday, we are hesitant to go, but the guy gave us a card where he said we can use the amenities in the resort and we don't have to pay, just go to the breakfast the next day. So for that small favor we accept the card and went to the breakfast. So we ate then listen to the rep for presentation, of course it's an offer to buy the timeshare, very persuasive to make a sale, we said we don't want to buy. But then we told the rep that my Aunt owns one and I am having trouble to change the name on the timeshare, she died and she left 3 children already in their legal age. We told the rep that last year we spend sometime to change the name, sent fax with my Aunt's death certificate and birth certificate of my cousins, you know what no one responded to that fax, of course the fax went through. Called the number, no one answers.

So we stop in that matter. Now that we were telling this story to the rep ** every year, purchased 1998, but in a certain week so she can only take a vacation on that week and has to pay for an exchange, in other works it's fixed.maintenance every year. It's really expensive. How this happened, of course our names were on that time share, although it's my Aunt's. We thought of it, called my cousin from the overseas. So we told the rep ** that we are buying it after talking to my cousin, she is coming in October, can they add her name on the deed or the title of the timeshare since we are buying it for her. Sales rep said of course no problem, that can be done, we taught it's a good idea. We ask for this so many times, and he keep on saying yes, we will send you the paper works, she sign her name will be added, we will do an addendum on the title. So we end up to the State of Florida Notary Public Closing Officer, before the further signing, we ask again, the rep said we can do an addendum for additional name on the timeshare. Sure there will be a 30 days processing and after it has been registered then, she said they will do it.

But 30 days already past, it the end of September so we decided to call the sales rep & the notary public closing officer. In one of the conversation, sales rep said he will help us, he just have to check it with his supervisor, told us to call the notary public closing officer because he said she's better to help us anyway that is job. We called the notary public officer, she did not answer, so we sent a text message, she replied she's in a meeting, she will call us back. Did not call back that day. We did another call, so it's a toss around back and forth. So the other day Westgate resort called our house number, so we did return their call hoping that it's because of what we are waiting for, the lady said it is a courtesy call, when we ask her about adding a name on the time share, she gave us a number to call, saying there is a fee to do that. Not mentioned when we keep asking the rep ** when he was selling the timeshare, he said we will do an addendum on the title of the timeshare, that is really upsetting. Who wants to pay more. We taught we did a good deed, a very good favor for my cousin.

So today I called the rep again, he said it's out of his hands and the notary public closing officer is the one who's going to help us with that matter, and we should call the notary public closing officer, we called her did not answer, we left a message. But we call her back again the notary public closing officer, she said she cannot help us on it because it has to be done within 2 weeks, from the time the time share has been bought. If they told us that in the beginning, or during the transaction we did not buy this timeshare. She said we need to pay a fee to do it. So we called the rep **, he said he will help us, call again tomorrow. My cousin is already here and maybe it's not going to happen. We called the customer service, same thing she is firmed with there will be a fee to add a name, and we can not get our money back because we already started paying the interest twice. So the down payment, we can not take it back. What a scam.

So my girlfriend and I went to the sales pitch at Westgate resort Branson, Missouri. That's 3 hours of my life I'll never get back. We listened to ask the sales pitch, and it was very creative, also a total load off **. I particularly enjoyed the, "even if you don't buy, we'll part as friends." The guild (1st salesman) have id's the tour, dropped in how he spends a week there with his brothers and one dropped dead the next week, so that was the last time they were asked together. Yep heard that one before. So after the tour, we sat down and crunched numbers. We said no, so he goes and gets salesman number 2, who just happened to also had served in the Navy as my girlfriend had, so he tried the service buddy pitch.

We said no, then he tried offer number 3. Again no, and finally offer 4, and again no. "Okay, I'll just go get the "lady" from corporate to give you your tickets and deposit back." Finally I thought we can get out of here, wrong. A lady arrives with pumped up injected lips and asked if we were treated with respect, so far we had been. And then she starts with offer number 5. Now I had made it very clear there was no way they would get my signature or card number, so she started on my girlfriend, trying to get her to buy without me, even trying to play us off against each other. By this time I had had enough, and told her that we had had enough and were leaving.

Then she started with the sarcastic remarks and back mouthing. Now remember the, "We'll part as friends," but no chance. I truly believe we only got out of their "kill" room because I was bigger than all of them. She was even having her mouth as we walk out and up the stairs. So be warned Westgate Branson, Missouri are the rudest, most disgusting sales team you will ever have the bad luck to meet, and if you're offered cheap show tickets from vendors around Branson, RUN!!!! It's now worth the savings you're being offered to sit there and be abused by a woman with fat injected into her lips.

I became a Westgate member on or about August of 2011. I called Westgate to see and ask about the quarterly deals. They told that I would need to upgrade my membership so I can take advantage of the quarterly deals and the discounts that come every 3 months. You can get a cruise deal for a discounted amount of money. Also, they offer discounts on resort stays like Mexico, Orlando Florida, Fort Lauderdale Florida, Scottsdale Arizona, Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Cayman Islands, Galveston Texas and other places not mentioned.

My problem began today when I went to reserve a cruise on the quarterly deals and I was told that the membership upgrade only lasted two years. To my amazement that left me thinking they never told me or mentioned to me about the upgrade membership would last for 2 years after they took my 1995.00 on monthly payments for 4 months. If I would have been told that the first time that I had the conversation with the salesman, I would not have purchased the upgrade and would have saved 1995.00 in total.

My other issue with Westgate cruise and travel is when I did my upgrade for the quarterly deals, I was given 50,000 membership upgrade travel credits, and 2,500 activation bonus travel credits and 10,000 adjustments made to my account. So I said to myself that sounds good. Even my wife was very happy. I was told that I could use the travel credits towards reduction of price for a future cruise. That sounded pretty good at that time. Also, I was given complimentary 7-day resort vacation stay which I took and was not charged a dime.

Now for the cruise it was totally different. I booked a cruise for 6 days to the Western Caribbean with my family of 4. What I did notice was that I was charged for the cruise - me and wife and my 2 daughters. Then I noticed that I had a complimentary 4-day cruise vacation. That means to my understanding is that I should not have been charged anything, only port charges and government fees. So I figured it out when I checked the time I had redeemed my complimentary 4-day cruise vacation, that instead that I had paid for something that had to be free to my understanding; that's why it's called complimentary, means something given or supplied without charge, as lodging, transportation, or meals, especially as an inducement to prospective customers.

My issue in total with Westgate Cruise and Travel is when they sell you a product they make it sound that the company really cares about their customers. That's not true when you confront them with the truth. They put you on hold and transfer the call to somebody else. If you sell something that you claim to be and it turns out to be a flat lie then that person that sold that product should be fired at once. The money that me and wife have spent, it was not given to us; we had to work hard for it. Big companies always get away by defrauding the consumer. I will try to resolve my issue with Westgate Cruise and Travel. If they don't resolve the issue with me and money I have spent with them, the only course left would be with a lawsuit with my attorney. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome with Westgate.

Where should I begin. I was so excited to go on this trip, a once in a lifetime thing. So when we got to Westgate I knew our adventure was beginning. I thought when we pulled up everything, looked really looked nice & checked in went pretty smoothly. They said we had to sign up at the front desk to get on the shuttle to Disney the next morning only to find out that the shuttle didn't leave until 9:30 (the parks open at 9) and they do not take you to Disney. They only take you to Epcot & you have to take a shuttle to Disney which now puts you even further behind with your schedule. And then if you take this 9:30 shuttle, you have to come back at 7pm which means you miss the night parade & the fireworks.

So my husband and I paid $34 for a different shuttle to take us to Disney. You have to get a golf cart to pretty much take you everywhere. Well it just so happened to be cold in Florida, probably about 28 degrees that morning, so they came to pick us up to take us to the main building so we could caught our shuttle, and the driver was driving as fast as he could so we was freezing. You would of thought they would have some kind of plastic covering on their carts. This went on the whole time we was there.

When we came back to our room the second day, (we knew that they didn't do housekeeping there) we walk in to find a bag of towels dropped right in front of our door. They couldn't even put them away. Wow, so to make this long story a little shorter, the last day we were there, we was supposed to check out at 10 but our flight didn't leave until 7:30 pm. So my husband asked if we could pay extra so we could just stay there instead of sitting at the airport all day. They said yes and charged us $50.

We called again for a golf cart to take us over to the lake where they had the paddle boats. It had been raining but it was a much warmer day. So they was there in no time to pick us up. They took us over & dropped us off only to find out that we couldn't ride the paddle boats that day. (Nice communication they all have.) So my husband & I decided to walk back to our room. Took us about 20 min. This place is not small, only to find out that they lock us out of our room, and it is raining again by this point. My husband had to call 3 different times & they left us stand outside for 50 minutes.

We went straight to the manager only to be told all her people had been busy taking down Christmas decorations. That shows you how much their guest really mean to them (you know the ones who pays their pay check). They said they would refund our money for that day. That was last Thursday & it is Thursday of a new week & we still haven’t got our money back. My husband had to call again today, so we will see what happens. If I can save one family from having a bad experience this review will be worth it. Thank you for reading.

I write this review with lumps in my throat as the negative experience happened approximately one hour ago and I am still fueled by what took place today.

While casually walking out of a store, a woman approached my family with an offer of discounted Disney tickets. It sounded like an interesting deal considering we were planning to take our daughters to one of the theme parks while on vacation. The woman was very specific as to how one needed to qualify for the offer. I proceeded to fill out the application as a single woman because my partner and I are not married, nor do we live together.

On the day of the tour, he dropped me off along with my daughters. The woman who called my name attempted to engage in very personal small talk. As I felt no need to hide anything, I was very open with my responses. She then walked away and asked for my partner’s name to put in the system... as she said, "It was just in case he has any questions when he picks you up, we can simply show him around." I replied, “Oh, no worries. This is a decision I will make independently, considering the fact that if I am interested, everything will only go in my name.”

The woman stepped away, and when she came back, she asked if I could make my way to the front to provide his name to the day tour staff. Confused as to why I needed to, I simply obliged. Once I made my way up front, I was told he needed to attend the tour with me. When questioned as to why, their response was “you two live together”. I insisted we didn't and that they continued to doubt my statements, even when I pulled out my recent refinancing paperwork of which 2012 taxes info was included. Although a couple, his residence and financial info is not mixed with mine, which is indicative as to why his name is not mentioned on my paperwork.

When he picked me up from the tour as they refused to allow me to go on... he proceeded to show them his license and his employee information... He is a cop back at home and they continued to insist that we live together because we are vacationing together. Their behavior was distasteful, appalling and unprofessional to say the least. I wasted more than two hours of my time trying to remedy the situation and unfortunately nothing resulted from it other than wasted time as they were all in cahoots with one another. I would not recommend anyone to tour West Gate resort property with staff who are unprofessional and disrespectful and think they know your living situation better than you know it yourself.

Upon arrival, the building itself is rundown. The room was dirty. Most of the staff are rude and act like they don't speak English. There was only one nice maid. You have to pay $10 a day for unsecured parking. While we were here for a week, our car was broken into. Most of the time, there is nowhere to park and I have to drive around 30 minutes to find a spot. The only nice thing at this resort is the beach access and boardwalk. On the beach, Westgate has chairs and umbrellas but if you want to use them, you have to pay and being an owner, this is ridiculous.

Being an owner at Westgate, I should not have to pay to park or to use Westgate's beach chairs. This is ridiculous. Being an owner with Westgate for five years, we have always stayed at the Orlando resort and loved it. I cannot believe how awful this South Beach Resort is. Westgate should not have their name on the building. What a disgrace. We will never be back to the South Beach Resort again. We were supposed to stay for a week and we are leaving early because this place is so horrible.

We asked a second time about this information and the person confirmed the original info. We called tonight (Feb. 25th), 5 days after booking to cancel, and we were told that there would be a $25 cancellation fee. These people can't even get their stories straight. No “Thank you” for us handing it over to Westgate staff, no apology for housekeeping failure to clean the room properly nor any type of acknowledgement to us. I bought in 2005 from an older gentleman at Westgate in Las Vegas a single deluxe at $8000 (biannual). I asked about the maintenance costs. He said he have never seen them increase in all the time he had been selling (first lie). They increase an average of $50.00 per year for the one bed. In 2008 I wanted to upgrade to Planet Hollywood for an additional $4000.00, but I had one catch: I had an ex on the original contract. I stated that to them and they said no problem, they will get the docs ready for her to sign and mail them to me. I asked what if she doesn't sign - they said no problem, I will revert back to the original deed. Well, they started debiting out of my account approximately $89.00 per month. The docs came and I sent them to my ex to be signed. Well, she didn’t sign and had Westgate call me every week for the signed docs.

Finally, I said to them I don’t believe they are going to be signed and I just need to stop the money coming out and revert back to the original contract. Well, I get this guy telling me, “I can’t do that. You signed the docs and You now have the deed to your new unit and your old one is now in default.” Well, that didn’t sit well with me since I knew I would have to have my ex's name on the deed removed. Then approximately a week later, they sent a nice letter attesting to the same facts. So, I called an attorney and they said they can’t do that to me and to bring in the letter and they will see what they can do. He called Westgate and they had to reverse everything or he was ready to sue them for breach of contract. Things were ok after that.

My stay in the town center in Orlando was very nice as was Mesa, AZ, even though it’s not a Westgate original built property. I then went to Branson and got superb accommodations and worked with a new concierge who was working with the son of David Siegel to turn the properties around and get the complaints to a minimum. I ended up buying a week there. So now I have a week every year and even upgraded my Westgate Cruise and Travel membership. But here is another problem I am having: when the original problem with the attorney happened, Westgate gave me 2 weeks extra to use for the problem. I booked my last week at Myrtle Beach and was assured I would get into the new building by two different people, one at Branson as I was going to be in off season and another was the operator who booked my trip. I was assured they rebuilt this place and tore down the old one and now have a brand new resort. Sure, and Ronald McDonald sells burgers on the moon. Well, I was put in a building that they renovated 3 years ago where they put two hotel rooms together and added some amenities and called it new.

It is a **. Sorry to say that. The shower leaks, the toilet runs all night long, and the dishwasher leaks. I called maintenance and even talked to owner services - no fix and no new room. I repeat: if you are an owner, get everything in writing. When you make a reservation, have them send it to you in what actual building you will be in. I can’t believe this is really happening. I can go on about once you’re an owner, you’re treated like **. But if you rent as a non-owner, you get whatever you want for a lot less. Anytime I reserve a week from now on, they can kiss my ass about anything else. If I could sue them, I would. I wish now I had never bought. But if you’re reading this and want to become an owner, run fast and do not buy: they will lie worse than anyone. All they want is a sale - they don’t care beyond that.

What kind of a person would do this to people who put on their game faces every day and put up with such a load of disrespect and ingratitude? I myself will never, ever go to a Westgate Resort property, especially after seeing all of the other complaints regarding rudeness, hard-selling, botched reservations, cheap shoddy rooms, etc. I sure hope somebody can look into Siegal threatening and disrespecting his workers. While visiting in Orlando, Florida, we stopped by a booth for "discount tickets." We were given the option to buy deeply discounted tickets if we would go to their meeting, which they promised would last only 90 minutes. We had to pay half the price in cash and would pay the other half after the meeting. Fast forward to the meeting. We arrived on time, signed in and again were told it would only last 90 minutes. After signing in, we were told to find a seat in the waiting area and waited and waited. After 30 minutes, someone finally came to get us. The sales rep was terribly rude to us. She treated us like children with no respect to our age. I was horrified that a potential customer would be treated so badly.

While eating our breakfast, a small glass of water was spilled. She made no attempt to help clean it up or find someone else to do it, but insisted we do it ourselves. The whole time she sat there impatiently tapping her fingers. We should have left then, but we stayed hoping it would get better. Midway through, she took us on a "tour" of the property in a golf cart. We were not impressed with the rooms because we have stayed in nicer ones for much less. The workmanship was poor on the display units and generally the display units are better than the actual unit you rent.

After telling the sales rep we would not purchase a unit, she became very angry. She wrecked the golf cart breaking pieces off of it and nearly dumped us out. We were taken to the farthest building on the property and were harassed repeatedly by 3 different sales people/managers. In between each harassments, we were left sitting for long periods of time. Finally, we were told where to purchase our tickets and directed to the front of the building to wait (again) for transport to take us back to our car. Again, we were left waiting. By the time it was all done and said, the "meeting" took four hours of our time. It totally wasted our day keeping us from doing other things on our short vacation. Needless to say, I would never buy from them. They are very dishonest people and rude.

I stayed at Westgate Resorts in Kissimmee, Florida. The room was infested with roaches. We called for an exterminator and when he came to spray, he saw the roaches. There were people staying upstairs from us that the children were making too much noise. We explained to them that the noise came from the children screaming due to the roaches crawling around because they were not accustomed to being around roaches. Needless to say, the security came back to the room, maybe two more times, because of the noise due to the roaches. We were finally asked to move. Upon moving at 5 in the morning, after being up all night, I left my jewelry behind in the room.

When I noticed that it was missing, I immediately called security to escort me back to the first room to retrieve my things. Of course, the cleaning people had already cleaned the room and all of my jewelry. I went to the security office to file a complaint and to wait for the cleaning lady to show up with my things. I waited for an hour in the baking sun and was finally told that she left early. That was no coincidence considering the fact that she left with over $1,000 worth of my jewelry. While I was there waiting, I noticed that the cleaning people who came to turn in their room key cards and to pick up their identification cards did not have proper state ID cards. I saw one man use a BJ's Wholesale Club card as a work ID. I also saw copies of photos on sheets of paper as identification forms.

I asked the security lady who was on duty if they hired one company. She told me that they hired multiple, independent cleaning people. With that being said, I knew that my things were gone for good. After being given the runaround for almost a week, I was called by the risk management and was told that there was nothing more that they could do on their end. I was told to contact the police sheriff who took the report and let them interview the cleaning people. I am still waiting at this point. Please, I would not advise anyone to stay at Westgate Resorts in Kissimmee, Florida. It is a roach-infested dump with a bunch of lowlife, low level, day laborers. I am not going to let up on this. I emailed David Siegel and a few other people. I will keep you all posted. I am so dissatisfied and upset at this point.

Well I do not know what they used to spray it, but we had just as many roaches, if not more than the first night. This is my honeymoon, mind you. So, I dealt with some manager named Jordan. His fix was to offer us voucher for the store on property, to move once again to a smaller unit and to stay an extra night. After all this, who in their right mind would want to stay another night? I spoke with a Westgate exchange rep on Monday, May 28th to book a week at Myrtle Beach. I own my week in Orlando; however, I had banked it. I was told we could have that week of Thanksgiving, Nov. 2012. Well, the next day, I went to book our flight and realized the week we were booked into was the last week of Nov., not the third week which is Thanksgiving. I truly believe this was an honest mistake between myself and the rep. However, the next morning, I emailed explaining our mistake and asking for the correct week. Mind you, I paid the exchange fee of $150 along with my maintenance/taxes that have now increased to $859 from the $599 at my time of purchase. I emailed the error on Tuesday. Every time I would call, I got the automated "We are experiencing a high volume."

Eventually, I got an email on Friday at 10:10 telling me the week of Thanksgiving was available and I needed to pay another exchange fee. It also states that I would need to call the 1-800-925-9999 to book as the email was not an actual confirmation. I called at 10:40 and was on the phone for over 30 minutes. I explained everything to the representative and asked them to please consider the error with the original booking and not charge me another exchange fee. I told them how I sent the email within 24 hours realizing the honest error made. I was asked to hold while they checked on that. To my horror, the rep came back on the phone and said they will waive the fee; however, the week of Thanksgiving is not available anymore.

When I questioned him that I just received an email less than an hour ago telling me it was, he stated that I was booked in the wrong building, and the building for owners is all booked. I said I did not care which building they gave me, he told me I would have to pay $500 a night. What a shock. I was like, "You're kidding, right? That's like Ritz Carlton Penthouse prices, with no mercy." He said, "That's all we can do." Friday night, when I got home from work, my husband called to speak with a manager. We were told no one was there that could take care of it and that he would call us Monday, June 4th. I know it's not going to go well after everything I have read. How do we file a class action lawsuit for such deceit? I would like to see it happen. Someone on here must know attorneys that can advice and how we can all come together and stop this robbery of innocent people.

The problem began on the next year when we decided to book the Westgate at Colorado and found out that they don't have studios. So if we want to book, we had to pay extra to have one bedroom. So we never went. Then we tried Las Vegas and the same thing happened. So how can you sell studio deluxe and make us believe that we can book a studio deluxe in another resort if you don't have it?

How can you sell something you don't have? Why it is deluxe if this deluxe exists only in Gatlinburg? I guess it’s to make more money, right? So right now the annual fee went very high. We can't afford. I stopped paying and want my 5 years of payment back. We owe $4,000 and right now we can buy one for $ 3,000. Isn't that funny? I have spoken to probably a dozen people, including a secretary at the CEO's office, with no results. I have requested a copy or transcript of the "taped" conversation in which I agreed to these terms and have been refused. I have tried twice to contact a person who can supposedly get me a transcript of the conversation but she is not returning my phone calls.

My wife and I have been Westgate owners since 2002. We were vacationing with some friends. So of course, Westgate officials pressure our guest into touring their Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa. Once we arrived, the royal treatment was rolled out. But once they realized that my wife and I nor our friends were not interested in upgrading or buying into this property, we were treated so disrespectfully. The guy who was trying to sell us stuff just got up from the table and left; no "Thanks for your time," no "You can get you're gift over there." He just got up and walked away. We didn't even know how to get back to our car!

I must say my stay at your facilities was less than enjoyable; one might say horrific. Upon check in your representative Diana ** met us and gave us the proper tour. Trying to schedule a "mutually agreed upon time" to discuss my options to buy, Diana gave me two options. My personal itinerary did not allow me to meet during the times Diana suggested. I explained to her that I am on vacation and have my parents in town and the meeting times just would not work for me. I suggested other meeting times but to no avail, she was steadfast on meeting me with in her time table. She went on to threaten me with extra charges, after I pre-paid for my 3-day stay, if I did not accommodate her schedule. After a few heated conversations I wished to deal with somebody else.

I met with a manager (Elijah?). He assured me I could meet with him the following morn. That morning I went down to meet with Elijah and who is there to meet me but Diana **. This infuriated me that the manager, who assured me that my dealings with Diana were over, made an executive-decision to choose Diana to meet me. I refused to deal with her until Elijah came to see me. Be mindful all this happened in the lobby of your PH Towers.

Thirty minutes later I met with another manager (Marlon) who attempted to sell me a condo. After the ordeal of dealing with Diana ** and Elijah I was in no mood to turn over my money to an organization with employees who have little regard to the customer at hand. It was the worst Vegas vacation I have ever experienced and my party checked out a day early to finish our vacation under other accommodations. I will let everybody I know my experience with PH Towers and warn them not to engage into any business let alone stay with PH Towers. You can definitely call me a "Former PH Towers Vacationer.”

We were also told we would receive a deed since this mortgage was for deed and title property. Well after the $2848 down payment was completed, I asked to remove the credit life insurance to reduce my payment and they said they would remove the credit life but it would not lower the payment. I also have not received anything resembling a deed rather numerous offers from other agencies affiliated with Westgate trying to sell me other products and services. Westgate has coerced, misrepresented, defrauded, and sold my contact information. I wish to be out of the contract. Additionally, a refund of all monies paid to date since I have purchased yet do not have anything to show for it. Then they lied to me about my maintenance fees. I was told my fees will only be $400.00 a year but come to find out my fees is around $700.00 a year. My payments is a little higher than the sales rep said it would be. And the sales rep lied about the weeks I can used it. I was told I can used it every other year and week but come to find out I can used it all weeks every other year except seven weeks during the year.

This timeshare is a scam. I purchased a promotional week before I purchased this two bedroom and they was suppose to applied that purchased promotional week amount to my purchased amount for this timeshare and I do not think they did that. We weren't pleased, but with the extra $100 off they gave us, was the best deal around and only 90 minutes out of our lives. Well, 90 minutes turned into 3 hours, at which we had said No, a number of times.

Every time we would say no, the price got lower or they would try to get us to take over the payments from someone trading up. Finally, the sales rep left us alone, but before we could get our discounted tickets, another lady had to try and sell us getaway weekends so we could try the resorts and buy then. It wasn't until we raised our voices loud enough for other buyers/reps in the room, that they would finally give us our vouchers. They want to make us pay all these memberships every year even though our contract is for every other year to be used. So we tried to get out of it, but of course is not possible. So the other option that they gave us was to find a person that was willing to take over. We did. We called to make arrangements, they sent forms that we returned along with a notarized agreement from this person. When after paying it off and pay9ing the maintenence fees we decided to use a week in November of 2008, we were told that our unit was a 1-bedroom standard which meant nothing to us. We had never heard the term or any other term about our unit.

I was told that it did not have a fireplace because it was a 1- BR standard. I have talked and talked until I am about ready to have a stroke. Contacts also are Manny Rucker or Neil Bartz at reservations. We have been owners at Westgate Towers since 1998- we have upgraded twice to better weeks. This last upgrade we were told we would not be locked into any weeks and we could even split up our stays 1/2 time in Kissimmee and 1/2 time in Miami and never be told we couldnt come and pay fees to do it so yes we signed the dotted line.

So first time we want to use our new condo we are told no problem come on down March 22 through March 29, 2008. My husband notices a $250 charge on our VISA. We asked why? reason: something about the leap year put us in a highly demanded week? well we said our new membership card states ALL WEEKS and we were told with this new upgraded membership (in which our other condo had been paid off so we went bacically into another mortgage with this new one paying monthly from our Michigan home not to mention the yearly maint fees keep going up every year!) we would have no exchange fees.

So girl Yolanda says to my husband no problem they waive these all the time we just need an email from Neil Bartz - we assume he did the email. We were than told on 4-8-08 That a Manny Rucker who is the head of reservations denied the email and he is the final decision maker. I asked to have Mr. Manny Rucker call us back as to his reasoning and to date have not received a returned call! It is now July 23, 2008!

THis time share is such a con to people- they get your money and than they have no problem going back and what they said and than just keeping charging you more money. I and go online and rent someones time share when I need to go on vacation! now I am spending $200 a month for 3 years for this upgrade and $1,000 or more every year for maint fee and than these exchange fees come out of the wood work.

All we get is a sorry we cant go over this Manny Rukers head who doesnt even have the professionalism of calling us back to inform us why he made this decision while Mr. Siegel owner of westgate and also unreachable gets richer and richer -he even asks for charity donations from us members and than he takes all the credit and he gets the tax credit under his name nice gig he has! Check out their mission statement they are able to exceed all expectations is one of the statements well my expectation is to get our $250 refunded to us and an apology from Westgate Towers Resorts!

Economic damage is we dont feel we should of been charged a $250 exchange fee and if they waive fees all time why cant ours be waived? Why shouldwe be penalized due to a leap year? I feel we were discriminated against. Also we spent alot of time in our room on the phone with reservattions and it caused tension with me and my husband as I wanted to enjoy our vacation and he kept trying to get this $250 while we were there well now we have been home 4 months and we still are trying to get our $250 back!

To finally say NO to two salemen that tried to sell us a timeshare in the Mountains. We really got nothing for our time. But then they sent a closer in to ask us about their Try me deal.

We thought it sound OK, but to find out when I got back home That the Full $900 had to be paid up front before you could go to the resort. you only have 27 months to go to the resort and the contract to pay for this resort is at 26 months. It is a 24 month payment plan but it does not start payment till 2 months from now. When I call on this, and told them I wanted no part of their Try Me, they told me it was not refundable. NO cancellations allowed. So they can take your money and not give you a thing in return... Unless you prepay the contract.

I am not happy with their No cancellation policy on this, because they do not give you time to read the fine print and do any investigation on the company. It is a SCAM

I had a timeshare presentation last April 28, 2008. And after 4 hours of pressured sales talk, I finally decided to buy a timeshare. But I wasn't happy with I found out when we we're trying to use their amenities. They were charging us certain amount of money to use their boat bikes and etc. After three days, I went there personally to hand my cancellation letter. I asked the receptionist on who and where can I give the letter. Instead of givingme information, she let me speak with my closing officer thru the phone.

My closing officer told me NOT no hand my cancellation letter to anybody in the building because she'll be helping me out when she comes in the next day. I thought all the while that she'll help me, but I was wrong. She didn't accepted my cancellation letter insted she send another representative to give us a downgraded offer. We still refused the offer but then again she send another person, their manager, who again insisted me to buy a Corporate Account, in which he said a much, much lower price.

So with all these nice deals he gave me, which is 2bedrooms, float, every other year, lockout, in Westgate Blue tree Resort for $7,700, I decided to take the offer believing them that it was a better deal. We have agreed before that I'm cancelling my other purchase in replacement of the 2nd offer. They told me they'll mail my contract as soon as possible. But things got more complicated. I have been calling my closing officer to ask for the contract but she said they got a better deal (AGAIN) fo the same price. She said 2bedroom, float, lockout, every other year but it will be in the Westgate Town center. I was happy with the ofer so I told them to send me a copy of the contract.

Two weeks after, I haven'y receive any contract. Called her again, but then she said they can't make the contract because the price is too low for the deal. So they want to increase the price for $9,800. I was so disappointed with the situation so I told the that I'm not buying anything from them anymore. And that I hope that the cancellation I made after 3 days of purchase will be granted. But then again, they said I can't cancell it anymore because I passed the 10 day period. I told them that it was because of them why my cancellation got delayed.

I belive that what happened to me was a misleading sale and information. And this a way of delaying tactics. Until now, the sale is still pending. All those good deals they've promised is only to good to be true.

I wrote a letter to Management after not hearing back from Corporate as promissed. "Dear Mr. Normington, I stayed at your facility (Westgate Town Center) and felt I needed to make you aware of my experience. I am a displeased guest who has been consistently passed around, offered awful service and disregarded by management.

"On April 5th, I stayed a night at Westgate Town Center. I and several guests arrived to the room, which was beautiful, at around 6pm. (1) Almost immediately, we discovered that the toilet in the master bedroom didn't work. We called maintenance and they responded immediately and fixed the problem. That was great. (2) We left for a moment to go to the store, upon our return, we noticed the electricity shut down (which understandably can happen) due to electrical storm. I called the front desk to inform them of the problem and was told it was a resort wide problem. I then asked I was in the middle of asking the young lady a question and was abruptly hung up on. (In a 5 star facility, I'd expect a call back unless she meant to be rude.)

("3) Due to the fact that we had no electricity, we couldn't cook our dinner, so we sat on the patio, as this was the only place in the suite with a glimmer of light. As we are sitting on the patio, water began spraying up onto the floor from a sprinkler system or broken pipe (I don't know which) down below making it impossible to stay out there. We called maintenance; shortly thereafter the water stopped hitting the patio.

    (4) "2 hours later, the electricity returned (with no apologies from management for the inconvenience regardless of fault) and we began to cook our dinner. On the stove, one of the burners was broken. We called maintenance again. They never came. (5) At around midnight, we heard a loud scream from one of my guests only to discover a large roach decided to join her in the shower. (We killed it and disposed of it)

    (6) I went into my master bedroom for the night, only to discover I didn't know how to activate the tub. (no signage or instructions) (just a piece of advice.. please put a sign)

"(7) One of my guests from the other half of the suite came to my door and indicated that their bathroom didn't work. I advised them we would call maintenance the next morning and they could use my bathroom. (8) After a series of annoyances and inconveniences, the next morning, I called the front desk (as advised by two hotel front desk employees upon check in) and requested late check out. I was placed on hold and transferred. I again asked about late check out. I was then told (hold on) and transferred. once again I asked about late check out.. I was told "one sec" and transferred. I again asked about late check out. I was placed on hold for 5 minutes and transferred again. Eventually I found someone who knew the policy of requesting a late check out. (Your employees need to be re-educated and should ask if it is okay to place you on hold and transfer or place me on hold and find out who knows the answer to my questions before transferring. And introduce the person I am being transferred to)

"(9) After getting the "okay" from a very nice lady at the front desk, we continued making breakfast. As one of my guests reached for the knob to turn on the stove burner, it sparked, made a burn circle around the knob, made a loud pop and shut off the whole stove. (Our breakfast was sitting on the stove half cooked) We called maintenance (who never showed up from last nights call). About half an hour later, the maintenance person showed up carrying the burner we needed to have replaced last night. (So we know they got the first call). When the maintenance man tried to fix the stove it popped again.

"We were not going anywhere near that stove and therefore were not able to utilize the main reason people stay at resort locations--cooking your own food in a fully functional kitchen. The maintenance guy, in-turn, called another maintenance person and the other person showed up 20 minutes later. He then fixed the stove. I asked him if he could fix the other broken toilet, and he indicated he couldn't, but would call someone for us.

"(10) At this point, I felt we needed to speak to management about the continual problems we experienced in ONE night at your resort. I called the front desk and asked for a supervisor. The young man asked about the problems and I told him my story. He then said he would transfer me to a supervisor. He transferred the call to a phone line that rang continually and was never answered by a human or by voicemail. I hung up after 20 rings and called back. I advised the young lady that I am getting very aggravated and don't want to be blankly transferred again. She understood and placed me on hold to find a supervisor.

The call was answered by a supervisor and I again explained the story. She listened and understood and stated the people in charge of customer compensation were tied up with another guest and she would send a manager up to our room, or one would call us about the bad service. 45 minutes later, a manager came to our door and we again explained all the problems we were having (while starving) as he listened. The manager then proceeded to tell us that he is a manager of maintenance and he couldn't help us. (Why did I go thru all of this if he couldn't help us?)

The Maintenance manager stated he would call a customer relations manager who could help us. He placed a call from our living room phone and eventually asked me to take the call in the bedroom. I walked into the bedroom and once again explained the story to the manager on the phone. He then told me that he wasn't a manager; he was the security guard at the front gate. (By this time I'm extremely angry.)

The Security guard said he would call a manager and have them come talk to us. "Clint", very nicely hung up, called a manager and called us back to let us know a customer relations manager would be up shortly. In the living room, the maintenance manager (I was told) stayed on the phone and was laughing during our conversation which is very rude. (11) We waited an hour and no one came. It was now 12:15pm and my guests had to leave hungry and late for their babysitters. We called the front desk again to ask about the manager and a very wise person at the front desk said you'll receive better service if you come down to the front desk.

"(12) Immediately, we went down to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. Ms. Rodriguez, from the management team, sat us down and listened to our woes. Her response was to offer us pizza hut coupons. I was incredibly insulted. First of all...half my guests already left hungry. we spent hours waiting in the room and on the phone and still received no satisfaction. the facility amenities were not useful for the full duration of our stay and customer service was sorely lacking--and she offers us pizza? Ms. Rodriguez stated that no one could offer us anything more. I asked for her manager and waited another hour.

"(13) Johnny Meola and Brian Grabowski arrived with Ms. Rodriguez. Once again we told our story, and whilst we were explaining what happened to us over our stay, Brian Grabowski conducted himself unprofessionally. He proceeded to interrupt me while telling the story and make excuses for each problem. His body language and his tone indicated he decided he was talking to the homeboys back in the ghetto and he was down. He made no attempt to observe our perspective and was not concerned about one of their guests not receiving what was promised by your hotel. He made it seem as if we were street thugs, trying to get something free and didn't deserve to be compensated for our bad experience. We felt Johnny Meola should have asked him to leave.

"(14) Johnny Meola was very nice until he asked if I was an investor. When he found out that I wasn't an investor and I was only owner of a trial package (4 weeks), he seemed to lose interest. My money spent here is just as important as any owner--or is that the way you treat people who are deciding whether or not to invest in your properties?

"(15) We left the hotel after Johnny Meola assured us a full investigation would be put forth which included - listening in to recorded calls to locate the person who hung up on me - checking the history of the suite for maintenance issues - checking the phone records to see how often I was transferred - and contacting the Corporate Headquarters because the lack of customer service is a corporate issue. Mr. Meola indicated someone would call or email me...12 days later, I'm still waiting.

"(16) A couple of days later, I realized I'd forgotten my brand new denim jacket in the closet. I immediately called the lost and found and they didn't have a record of it. I spoke with Elonka who stated she would speak to the person who cleaned the room and see if they found it because they didn't log it in and she would then call me back tomorrow because that person left for the day. I never received my call back.

"Mr. Normington, I have to say that this was one of the worst experiences I've had at a resort. My family and I were strongly considering Westgate as a facility to invest in, however in light of your company's lack of caring, we may have to reconsider. As a business owner, I know the importance of customer service. I hope YOU will take the time to consider the importance of every guest and respond to my email promptly as I still wish to be compensated for my ruined birthday celebration and my guests' dreadful experience. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. "

I did not receive the usage of the facility that I paid for, horrible customer service, simple aggrivation on my vacation, my birthday party was ruined, my brand new jacket lost, food not eaten and wasted and extra babysitting fees paid because we were late getting home while waiting for management to act.

We had bought a timeshare last summer and have 1 week every other year but were told we could get bonus time at any time. Our week is springor fall. I called to make a reservation for their Vegas resort because we could use any of their resorts, and bonus time was $50.00 or $129.00 depending on the room. It turns out they want me to pay a $500.00 upgrade plus the cost of the room ($77.00). We were not told any of this when we purchased said property. I have talked to someone there and told them how I felt about not being told by the salespeople of the hidden charges

I pay $82.00 a month for 4 years that I get one week every other year. I bought the property because we were told we could use the resorts, but you can get hotels cheaper then what they charge. I am disabled at this time awaiting surgery for my neck, so my income is limited. I feel we were misled by their sales tactics.

This company calls my cell phone several times a day but leaves no message. Sometimes they call several times in a row. It is very obnoxious and I would really like it to stop. I have no use for their services and yet they continue to call.

The phone rings at all hours of the day very early in the morning until almost 9pm at night. All day long while I am at work, I have had to turn my phone off on several occasions because this company calls so many times.

My wife and I purchased a 'time share' at the Westgate Resort in Park City in June of 2005 -- we were told (on our contract and verbally) that we would have a certain week every even year. When we tried to book our week in 2006 we were told they had no room -- nor did they have room at any other time that we could use. We were told we could easily exchange our week -- we have not been able to find an exchange to accommodate any of a dozen or more trips we've tried to plan as a family.

We were told we could save our week and use it in 2007 -- when we tried to book a reservation in 2007 we were told we had missed our week and would have to wait until 2008. We were told that the company could 'resell' our week if we decided we didn't want it... we are now being told that is not true.

We have spent nearly $15K on this time share and have nothing to show for it! We want our money back!

We have paid nearly $15 and still counting (annual fees, mortgage interest).

The closing officer of Westgate Resort (who sells timeshare) told us told us that once we signed the contract on that day, we can not back up with our time share. After three days I've learned that we can still back up. So I personally brought back the package in his office. I wrote a letter stating our dislike of the timeshare and that we have no money for this yet. He took all the package and just left without assuring us that we will get the money. Only this Feb 25, we learned that they didn't close our account.

We went on vacation and went to a vacation tour. We were pretty interested in their selling of timeshares. After hours of badgering us, we agreed on a monthly payment, and were told that we got the cheapest deal. We were told we could refinance the high apr thru the bank after we got home from vacation. Since the day we signed the papers, we have attempted to call them and cancel the agreement, as we learned that the same exact timeshare was selling for under 3,000.

We were sold one for 13,000 with a 17 percent interest rate. We tried for hours, days, weeks to get thru to someone. We sent letters. We got no where, but in the meantime we kept up with the monthly payments, maintenance fees, taxes. We have spent over 5,000 already and have not even used the timeshare - we attempted to this year, but again could not get thru to reserve it. It literally took weeks with hours at a time to get thru, only to be told we had to pay an additional 150.00 to use another resort, which we paid and then had to cancel because it would have cost us over 2500.00 for transportation.

We called again for weeks to cancel, only to be told we could not get a refund, or use the week. We were told as a courtesy that we could pay another 150.00 to use it next year. This is totally a scam, they saw us coming and took advantage of us and our vacation. We were told we could deed the timeshare back to them, and just walk away - something that the management states it is not true. We don't know where to go with this. At this point, we are thinking about letting it go into foreclosure and ruining our credit. Can anyone help us with this mess?

continued financial strain, with nothing to show for it. We were told we could cancel within 3 weeks, but conveniently no one would help us.

I brought this time share from Westgate Resorts. I brought this time share thinking that it will be available when ever I needed it. Now I come to realize that I will haveto call 3 monthe or more in advance to reservation.

The consequences of this problem is that I don't agree with their policy. They never told me that I had to call three months prior to make reservations. Most times that I have vacation I don't even get three months in advance. Now I want to cancel the purchase of this time share.

They charged me $222. I have tried to contact them but their website is too long. There is no place on the site to make contact.

This is a timeshare in Florida. My complaint is I had authorized Westgate-CFI Resorts to make direct debit payments out ofmy checking account every 25th of each month and this was done for approximately over a year without problems until, October 3rd, they took out of my account the $276.67 three weeks to soon (I think this was a computer error) but because of the earlier payment it threw my payment schedule off for other bills going through at that time. Therefore I had four checks which were charged $30 each insufficient funds, a total of $120.

I am filing this complain against westgate because they are denying my cancellation. On July 4,2002 we are intimidated of buying a time share but we came to our senses the following day July 5,2002 and cancelled the sale.We spoke to the sales person Adam Tas along with his supervisor, of course they still trying to convince us by lowering the price, negotiating interest rates and monthly payments. But we said we are not interested anymore. So, everything is done they take the packages, binders & etc.

When we came back to New York I contacted their 800 number on July 11, 2002 to make sure thay they have refunded my credit card $579.00 i spoke to a man named Manuel Luke at ext.10549 he said that it is noted in the account that i have returned all the materials but he did'nt receive my written cancellation, i told him that i have done all of this in Orlando. So then he asked me if i could send him another one CERTIFIED and i said no problem. But on July 29,2002 Manuel contacted me at home to notify me that they have receive my written cancellation LATE. I told him that first of all its not my fault that they lost or misplace my first cancellation letter second, its a favor that i have sent them another one to be put in my file and third i just cannot afford it right now. He then threat me that we will be reported to CREDIT BUREAU. I don't think its fair, just because they wanted to save the the SALE they wiil ruin me. PLEASE i need HELP, all i want is this to be CANCELLED.

My wife and I vistited Westgate Resort in Gatlinburg and we were interested in purchasing a timeshare week with them. When we spoke to the agent above (sorry dont know name just agent#), we told him we were interested in a week only if they could help us sell our present week in St Thomas. They said they would help us and send us paperwork via Century 21 up there. They said they would get us a good deal with Century 21. So, we agreed and purchased a Vacation Occupancy & Price Lock in Agreement for the sum of 595.00. We put 200.00 down and waited for the bill for the rest and the paperwork to sell our timeshare. We received the bill and nothing else. I tried contacting them, no one wants to talk to us and will not return our calls.

We are out 200.00 and we feel they promised us help to sell our timeshare just to get a sale. They lied to us and we feel cheated.
