So my girlfriend and I went to the sales pitch at Westgate resort Branson, Missouri. That's 3 hours of my life I'll never get back. We listened to ask the sales pitch, and it was very creative, also a total load off **. I particularly enjoyed the, "even if you don't buy, we'll part as friends." The guild (1st salesman) have id's the tour, dropped in how he spends a week there with his brothers and one dropped dead the next week, so that was the last time they were asked together. Yep heard that one before. So after the tour, we sat down and crunched numbers. We said no, so he goes and gets salesman number 2, who just happened to also had served in the Navy as my girlfriend had, so he tried the service buddy pitch.

We said no, then he tried offer number 3. Again no, and finally offer 4, and again no. "Okay, I'll just go get the "lady" from corporate to give you your tickets and deposit back." Finally I thought we can get out of here, wrong. A lady arrives with pumped up injected lips and asked if we were treated with respect, so far we had been. And then she starts with offer number 5. Now I had made it very clear there was no way they would get my signature or card number, so she started on my girlfriend, trying to get her to buy without me, even trying to play us off against each other. By this time I had had enough, and told her that we had had enough and were leaving.

Then she started with the sarcastic remarks and back mouthing. Now remember the, "We'll part as friends," but no chance. I truly believe we only got out of their "kill" room because I was bigger than all of them. She was even having her mouth as we walk out and up the stairs. So be warned Westgate Branson, Missouri are the rudest, most disgusting sales team you will ever have the bad luck to meet, and if you're offered cheap show tickets from vendors around Branson, RUN!!!! It's now worth the savings you're being offered to sit there and be abused by a woman with fat injected into her lips.

I stayed at the west gate towers in orlando. I checked out and later that day realized that i had forgot to get my belongings out of a drawer in the room including my medication that i have to take everyday for a serious health issue. The front desk was very rude and said that there was nothing turned in and that i was basically out of luck. I guess that someone who works there is enjoying the things i purchased while on vacation!!! Thank you west gate!!!!

Westgate Vacation Villas, Kissimmee Fl - Our stay began on June 15-22, 2014. The first night our TV in the M/B only showed 3 channels. Called maintenance and it took them 30 min to fix. That night TV stop working. Another maintenance man came and fixed. We had an infestation of roaches even in refrigerator. Sent maintenance man and he put down traps. We were plagued with bugs throughout our stay. Never was offered another room. When we checked out, we complained to guest services and another guest staying in a different building complaining of roaches also. They were offered another room. We have been owners at 2 other resorts over the last 15 years. Never had such a bad experience. I do have pictures of the critters.

My family and I visited Westgate Lakes in Florida June 15-22 and it was awful. The first day, the master b/r toilet backed up. The second day, the guest b/r toilet in the condo above ours backed up and leaked down into my condo. That's right, raw sewage. The third day, the handle broke off the toilet and the water stopped working. The fourth day, the phone stopped working. Other issues were closet sliding doors were off track and bedroom doors were not centered. We had to pick up on them to open it. Customer service sucked. The only thing they offered us was 2 $25 vouchers, which I refused. I asked for my maintenance fee back, but was refused. I even called corporate. Unfortunately, I am buying this condo, thinking of letting it go. Thinking also of seeking legal actions. Any suggestions.

As usual, cornered on our week with some made up reason to get us to an interview about our "outstanding" fees which was not valid. Then talk, talk, talk to try and get us to upgrade. We were mis-sold the unit last time as it had stairs inside and my husband can't do stairs. Want out of the extortionate maintenance. Still no new pool built and "golf course" promised is mini golf!

I became a Westgate member on or about August of 2011. I called Westgate to see and ask about the quarterly deals. They told that I would need to upgrade my membership so I can take advantage of the quarterly deals and the discounts that come every 3 months. You can get a cruise deal for a discounted amount of money. Also, they offer discounts on resort stays like Mexico, Orlando Florida, Fort Lauderdale Florida, Scottsdale Arizona, Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Cayman Islands, Galveston Texas and other places not mentioned.

My problem began today when I went to reserve a cruise on the quarterly deals and I was told that the membership upgrade only lasted two years. To my amazement that left me thinking they never told me or mentioned to me about the upgrade membership would last for 2 years after they took my 1995.00 on monthly payments for 4 months. If I would have been told that the first time that I had the conversation with the salesman, I would not have purchased the upgrade and would have saved 1995.00 in total.

My other issue with Westgate cruise and travel is when I did my upgrade for the quarterly deals, I was given 50,000 membership upgrade travel credits, and 2,500 activation bonus travel credits and 10,000 adjustments made to my account. So I said to myself that sounds good. Even my wife was very happy. I was told that I could use the travel credits towards reduction of price for a future cruise. That sounded pretty good at that time. Also, I was given complimentary 7-day resort vacation stay which I took and was not charged a dime.

Now for the cruise it was totally different. I booked a cruise for 6 days to the Western Caribbean with my family of 4. What I did notice was that I was charged for the cruise - me and wife and my 2 daughters. Then I noticed that I had a complimentary 4-day cruise vacation. That means to my understanding is that I should not have been charged anything, only port charges and government fees. So I figured it out when I checked the time I had redeemed my complimentary 4-day cruise vacation, that instead that I had paid for something that had to be free to my understanding; that's why it's called complimentary, means something given or supplied without charge, as lodging, transportation, or meals, especially as an inducement to prospective customers.

My issue in total with Westgate Cruise and Travel is when they sell you a product they make it sound that the company really cares about their customers. That's not true when you confront them with the truth. They put you on hold and transfer the call to somebody else. If you sell something that you claim to be and it turns out to be a flat lie then that person that sold that product should be fired at once. The money that me and wife have spent, it was not given to us; we had to work hard for it. Big companies always get away by defrauding the consumer. I will try to resolve my issue with Westgate Cruise and Travel. If they don't resolve the issue with me and money I have spent with them, the only course left would be with a lawsuit with my attorney. I will keep everyone posted on the outcome with Westgate.

My fiance and I booked a trip to Myrtle Beach Westgate Resort. The next day we went to the so called 90 minute presentation which lasted for 3 hours. We were badgered, harassed, tormented with undue stress but, we held our own. We would not commit to buying a timeshare. No matter how many times we said no, they would bring someone else to the table to intimidate us. People beware, don't be intimidated by their tactics and bullying behavior - this is how they make their money. Don't fall for this scam like we did. Just keep reading the complaints.

Where should I begin. I was so excited to go on this trip, a once in a lifetime thing. So when we got to Westgate I knew our adventure was beginning. I thought when we pulled up everything, looked really looked nice & checked in went pretty smoothly. They said we had to sign up at the front desk to get on the shuttle to Disney the next morning only to find out that the shuttle didn't leave until 9:30 (the parks open at 9) and they do not take you to Disney. They only take you to Epcot & you have to take a shuttle to Disney which now puts you even further behind with your schedule. And then if you take this 9:30 shuttle, you have to come back at 7pm which means you miss the night parade & the fireworks.

So my husband and I paid $34 for a different shuttle to take us to Disney. You have to get a golf cart to pretty much take you everywhere. Well it just so happened to be cold in Florida, probably about 28 degrees that morning, so they came to pick us up to take us to the main building so we could caught our shuttle, and the driver was driving as fast as he could so we was freezing. You would of thought they would have some kind of plastic covering on their carts. This went on the whole time we was there.

When we came back to our room the second day, (we knew that they didn't do housekeeping there) we walk in to find a bag of towels dropped right in front of our door. They couldn't even put them away. Wow, so to make this long story a little shorter, the last day we were there, we was supposed to check out at 10 but our flight didn't leave until 7:30 pm. So my husband asked if we could pay extra so we could just stay there instead of sitting at the airport all day. They said yes and charged us $50.

We called again for a golf cart to take us over to the lake where they had the paddle boats. It had been raining but it was a much warmer day. So they was there in no time to pick us up. They took us over & dropped us off only to find out that we couldn't ride the paddle boats that day. (Nice communication they all have.) So my husband & I decided to walk back to our room. Took us about 20 min. This place is not small, only to find out that they lock us out of our room, and it is raining again by this point. My husband had to call 3 different times & they left us stand outside for 50 minutes.

We went straight to the manager only to be told all her people had been busy taking down Christmas decorations. That shows you how much their guest really mean to them (you know the ones who pays their pay check). They said they would refund our money for that day. That was last Thursday & it is Thursday of a new week & we still haven’t got our money back. My husband had to call again today, so we will see what happens. If I can save one family from having a bad experience this review will be worth it. Thank you for reading.

I write this review with lumps in my throat as the negative experience happened approximately one hour ago and I am still fueled by what took place today.

While casually walking out of a store, a woman approached my family with an offer of discounted Disney tickets. It sounded like an interesting deal considering we were planning to take our daughters to one of the theme parks while on vacation. The woman was very specific as to how one needed to qualify for the offer. I proceeded to fill out the application as a single woman because my partner and I are not married, nor do we live together.

On the day of the tour, he dropped me off along with my daughters. The woman who called my name attempted to engage in very personal small talk. As I felt no need to hide anything, I was very open with my responses. She then walked away and asked for my partner’s name to put in the system... as she said, "It was just in case he has any questions when he picks you up, we can simply show him around." I replied, “Oh, no worries. This is a decision I will make independently, considering the fact that if I am interested, everything will only go in my name.”

The woman stepped away, and when she came back, she asked if I could make my way to the front to provide his name to the day tour staff. Confused as to why I needed to, I simply obliged. Once I made my way up front, I was told he needed to attend the tour with me. When questioned as to why, their response was “you two live together”. I insisted we didn't and that they continued to doubt my statements, even when I pulled out my recent refinancing paperwork of which 2012 taxes info was included. Although a couple, his residence and financial info is not mixed with mine, which is indicative as to why his name is not mentioned on my paperwork.

When he picked me up from the tour as they refused to allow me to go on... he proceeded to show them his license and his employee information... He is a cop back at home and they continued to insist that we live together because we are vacationing together. Their behavior was distasteful, appalling and unprofessional to say the least. I wasted more than two hours of my time trying to remedy the situation and unfortunately nothing resulted from it other than wasted time as they were all in cahoots with one another. I would not recommend anyone to tour West Gate resort property with staff who are unprofessional and disrespectful and think they know your living situation better than you know it yourself.

Upon arrival, the building itself is rundown. The room was dirty. Most of the staff are rude and act like they don't speak English. There was only one nice maid. You have to pay $10 a day for unsecured parking. While we were here for a week, our car was broken into. Most of the time, there is nowhere to park and I have to drive around 30 minutes to find a spot. The only nice thing at this resort is the beach access and boardwalk. On the beach, Westgate has chairs and umbrellas but if you want to use them, you have to pay and being an owner, this is ridiculous.

Being an owner at Westgate, I should not have to pay to park or to use Westgate's beach chairs. This is ridiculous. Being an owner with Westgate for five years, we have always stayed at the Orlando resort and loved it. I cannot believe how awful this South Beach Resort is. Westgate should not have their name on the building. What a disgrace. We will never be back to the South Beach Resort again. We were supposed to stay for a week and we are leaving early because this place is so horrible.

We asked a second time about this information and the person confirmed the original info. No “Thank you” for us handing it over to Westgate staff, no apology for housekeeping failure to clean the room properly nor any type of acknowledgement to us. I bought in 2005 from an older gentleman at Westgate in Las Vegas a single deluxe at $8000 (biannual). I asked about the maintenance costs. He said he have never seen them increase in all the time he had been selling (first lie). They increase an average of $50.00 per year for the one bed. In 2008 I wanted to upgrade to Planet Hollywood for an additional $4000.00, but I had one catch: I had an ex on the original contract. I stated that to them and they said no problem, they will get the docs ready for her to sign and mail them to me. I asked what if she doesn't sign - they said no problem, I will revert back to the original deed. Well, they started debiting out of my account approximately $89.00 per month. The docs came and I sent them to my ex to be signed. Well, she didn’t sign and had Westgate call me every week for the signed docs.

Finally, I said to them I don’t believe they are going to be signed and I just need to stop the money coming out and revert back to the original contract. Well, I get this guy telling me, “I can’t do that. You signed the docs and You now have the deed to your new unit and your old one is now in default.” Well, that didn’t sit well with me since I knew I would have to have my ex's name on the deed removed. Then approximately a week later, they sent a nice letter attesting to the same facts. So, I called an attorney and they said they can’t do that to me and to bring in the letter and they will see what they can do. He called Westgate and they had to reverse everything or he was ready to sue them for breach of contract. Things were ok after that.

My stay in the town center in Orlando was very nice as was Mesa, AZ, even though it’s not a Westgate original built property. I then went to Branson and got superb accommodations and worked with a new concierge who was working with the son of David Siegel to turn the properties around and get the complaints to a minimum. I ended up buying a week there. So now I have a week every year and even upgraded my Westgate Cruise and Travel membership. But here is another problem I am having: when the original problem with the attorney happened, Westgate gave me 2 weeks extra to use for the problem. I booked my last week at Myrtle Beach and was assured I would get into the new building by two different people, one at Branson as I was going to be in off season and another was the operator who booked my trip. I was assured they rebuilt this place and tore down the old one and now have a brand new resort. Sure, and Ronald McDonald sells burgers on the moon. Well, I was put in a building that they renovated 3 years ago where they put two hotel rooms together and added some amenities and called it new.

It is a **. Sorry to say that. The shower leaks, the toilet runs all night long, and the dishwasher leaks. I called maintenance and even talked to owner services - no fix and no new room. I repeat: if you are an owner, get everything in writing. When you make a reservation, have them send it to you in what actual building you will be in. I can’t believe this is really happening. I can go on about once you’re an owner, you’re treated like **. But if you rent as a non-owner, you get whatever you want for a lot less. Anytime I reserve a week from now on, they can kiss my ass about anything else. If I could sue them, I would. I wish now I had never bought. But if you’re reading this and want to become an owner, run fast and do not buy: they will lie worse than anyone. All they want is a sale - they don’t care beyond that.

Siegal claims that if President Obama is re-elected, he will have to lay off his workers because he won't be able to pay his taxes. What kind of a person would do this to people who put on their game faces every day and put up with such a load of disrespect and ingratitude? I myself will never, ever go to a Westgate Resort property, especially after seeing all of the other complaints regarding rudeness, hard-selling, botched reservations, cheap shoddy rooms, etc. I sure hope somebody can look into Siegal threatening and disrespecting his workers. While visiting in Orlando, Florida, we stopped by a booth for "discount tickets." We were given the option to buy deeply discounted tickets if we would go to their meeting, which they promised would last only 90 minutes. We had to pay half the price in cash and would pay the other half after the meeting. Fast forward to the meeting. We arrived on time, signed in and again were told it would only last 90 minutes. After signing in, we were told to find a seat in the waiting area and waited and waited. After 30 minutes, someone finally came to get us. The sales rep was terribly rude to us. She treated us like children with no respect to our age. I was horrified that a potential customer would be treated so badly.

While eating our breakfast, a small glass of water was spilled. She made no attempt to help clean it up or find someone else to do it, but insisted we do it ourselves. The whole time she sat there impatiently tapping her fingers. We should have left then, but we stayed hoping it would get better. Midway through, she took us on a "tour" of the property in a golf cart. We were not impressed with the rooms because we have stayed in nicer ones for much less. The workmanship was poor on the display units and generally the display units are better than the actual unit you rent.

After telling the sales rep we would not purchase a unit, she became very angry. She wrecked the golf cart breaking pieces off of it and nearly dumped us out. We were taken to the farthest building on the property and were harassed repeatedly by 3 different sales people/managers. In between each harassments, we were left sitting for long periods of time. Finally, we were told where to purchase our tickets and directed to the front of the building to wait (again) for transport to take us back to our car. Again, we were left waiting. By the time it was all done and said, the "meeting" took four hours of our time. It totally wasted our day keeping us from doing other things on our short vacation. Needless to say, I would never buy from them. They are very dishonest people and rude.

I stayed at Westgate Resorts in Kissimmee, Florida. The room was infested with roaches. We called for an exterminator and when he came to spray, he saw the roaches. There were people staying upstairs from us that the children were making too much noise. We explained to them that the noise came from the children screaming due to the roaches crawling around because they were not accustomed to being around roaches. Needless to say, the security came back to the room, maybe two more times, because of the noise due to the roaches. We were finally asked to move. Upon moving at 5 in the morning, after being up all night, I left my jewelry behind in the room.

When I noticed that it was missing, I immediately called security to escort me back to the first room to retrieve my things. Of course, the cleaning people had already cleaned the room and all of my jewelry. I went to the security office to file a complaint and to wait for the cleaning lady to show up with my things. I waited for an hour in the baking sun and was finally told that she left early. That was no coincidence considering the fact that she left with over $1,000 worth of my jewelry. While I was there waiting, I noticed that the cleaning people who came to turn in their room key cards and to pick up their identification cards did not have proper state ID cards. I saw one man use a BJ's Wholesale Club card as a work ID. I also saw copies of photos on sheets of paper as identification forms.

I asked the security lady who was on duty if they hired one company. She told me that they hired multiple, independent cleaning people. With that being said, I knew that my things were gone for good. After being given the runaround for almost a week, I was called by the risk management and was told that there was nothing more that they could do on their end. I was told to contact the police sheriff who took the report and let them interview the cleaning people. I am still waiting at this point. Please, I would not advise anyone to stay at Westgate Resorts in Kissimmee, Florida. It is a roach-infested dump with a bunch of lowlife, low level, day laborers. I am not going to let up on this. I emailed David Siegel and a few other people. I will keep you all posted. I am so dissatisfied and upset at this point.

I would actually be giving away my $12,000 that I had paid for my first unit, or I would be stuck paying another $12,000 for the new one.

I spoke with a Westgate exchange rep on Monday, May 28th to book a week at Myrtle Beach. I own my week in Orlando; however, I had banked it. I was told we could have that week of Thanksgiving, Nov. 2012. Well, the next day, I went to book our flight and realized the week we were booked into was the last week of Nov., not the third week which is Thanksgiving. I truly believe this was an honest mistake between myself and the rep. However, the next morning, I emailed explaining our mistake and asking for the correct week. Mind you, I paid the exchange fee of $150 along with my maintenance/taxes that have now increased to $859 from the $599 at my time of purchase. I emailed the error on Tuesday. Every time I would call, I got the automated "We are experiencing a high volume."

Eventually, I got an email on Friday at 10:10 telling me the week of Thanksgiving was available and I needed to pay another exchange fee. It also states that I would need to call the 1-800-925-9999 to book as the email was not an actual confirmation. I called at 10:40 and was on the phone for over 30 minutes. I explained everything to the representative and asked them to please consider the error with the original booking and not charge me another exchange fee. I told them how I sent the email within 24 hours realizing the honest error made. I was asked to hold while they checked on that. To my horror, the rep came back on the phone and said they will waive the fee; however, the week of Thanksgiving is not available anymore.

When I questioned him that I just received an email less than an hour ago telling me it was, he stated that I was booked in the wrong building, and the building for owners is all booked. I said I did not care which building they gave me, he told me I would have to pay $500 a night. What a shock. I was like, "You're kidding, right? That's like Ritz Carlton Penthouse prices, with no mercy." He said, "That's all we can do." Friday night, when I got home from work, my husband called to speak with a manager. We were told no one was there that could take care of it and that he would call us Monday, June 4th. I know it's not going to go well after everything I have read. How do we file a class action lawsuit for such deceit? I would like to see it happen. Someone on here must know attorneys that can advice and how we can all come together and stop this robbery of innocent people.

I and my husband went to our honeymoon on 2005 to Gatlinburg, TN. One of Westgate's employees got us at downtown and sold us a studio deluxe. The studio was really a nice price and was affordable. We went the next year with the kids and had a lot of fun. The problem began on the next year when we decided to book the Westgate at Colorado and found out that they don't have studios. So if we want to book, we had to pay extra to have one bedroom. So we never went. Then we tried Las Vegas and the same thing happened. So how can you sell studio deluxe and make us believe that we can book a studio deluxe in another resort if you don't have it?

How can you sell something you don't have? Why it is deluxe if this deluxe exists only in Gatlinburg? I guess it’s to make more money, right? So right now the annual fee went very high. We can't afford. I stopped paying and want my 5 years of payment back. We owe $4,000 and right now we can buy one for $ 3,000. Isn't that funny? Right now I am dealing with a Westgate representative and she said that if I want to cancel and loose all my money, I have to pay $1200 for the paperwork. Great! If you know any lawsuit or any good lawyer in the area, please let me know ASAP. Thanks.

However, if one cancels/changes reservations over a week before, there are no penalties. I cancelled my reservation eight days before my arrival date and they refused to refund my money. So I booked my 1st vacation and low and behold, they ask me for a $200.00 down payment which I don't understand as I have 12 weeks, and this is the first time I have used my timeshare.

Well, this is when found out I have an odd-year timeshare! What in the world is that? This was never mentioned to us, but I'm sure it is somewhere in small print. So I have no timeshare on even years, yet I pay $250.00 a month plus $700.00 yearly for fees. I am stuck with payments I can't afford and the time share I can only use every other year! And that way, we could know how much to ask for our unit.

I went to trade it and was told no and that we could only trade for the Flamingo Bay property in Vegas. I was told at the time of purchase that it was a trade for the Towers. I also received a certificate for a vacation for $499.00 supposedly for the Towers and found out it's for the Flamingo Bay Vegas. And then, I found out the month we want to go in, March, is all blacked out. Why me an owner, if you can't get what you were told? This is the biggest ripoff ever. Never again!

We said ok and the guy said don't worry.

They then pressured us for four hours until we were, I admit, tempted but I told them we could not afford one and probably that I thought I would fail a credit check and he told me there was no credit check! That would be illegal and found unenforceable in the UK as it is classed as irresponsible lending here. The court would allow us to escape from this and have our money back. Does the same thing happen in the US and could someone help us. We cannot afford this and want out as it is much more expensive than we were advised. We were also told that the paperwork was in the presentation pack/case they gave us. It was not, so if don't have evidence of what we paid.

We want to stop paying but are afraid of the consequences as we do not understand US law. I wish I have never visited the US (sorry to all the lovely people we met there but this is such a huge shadow for us). I explained to her that I am on vacation and have my parents in town and the meeting times just would not work for me. I suggested other meeting times but to no avail, she was steadfast on meeting me with in her time table. She went on to threaten me with extra charges, after I pre-paid for my 3-day stay, if I did not accommodate her schedule. After a few heated conversations I wished to deal with somebody else.

I met with a manager (Elijah?). He assured me I could meet with him the following morn. That morning I went down to meet with Elijah and who is there to meet me but Diana **. This infuriated me that the manager, who assured me that my dealings with Diana were over, made an executive-decision to choose Diana to meet me. I refused to deal with her until Elijah came to see me. Be mindful all this happened in the lobby of your PH Towers.

Thirty minutes later I met with another manager (Marlon) who attempted to sell me a condo. After the ordeal of dealing with Diana ** and Elijah I was in no mood to turn over my money to an organization with employees who have little regard to the customer at hand. It was the worst Vegas vacation I have ever experienced and my party checked out a day early to finish our vacation under other accommodations. Economic damage is we dont feel we should of been charged a $250 exchange fee and if they waive fees all time why cant ours be waived? Why shouldwe be penalized due to a leap year? I feel we were discriminated against. Also we spent alot of time in our room on the phone with reservattions and it caused tension with me and my husband as I wanted to enjoy our vacation and he kept trying to get this $250 while we were there well now we have been home 4 months and we still are trying to get our $250 back!

Leave out details on the contract they pressure you to sign. We under went a (so call presentation for 90 minutes) that lasted at least 3 hours... To finally say NO to two salemen that tried to sell us a timeshare in the Mountains. We really got nothing for our time. But then they sent a closer in to ask us about their Try me deal.

We thought it sound OK, but to find out when I got back home That the Full $900 had to be paid up front before you could go to the resort. you only have 27 months to go to the resort and the contract to pay for this resort is at 26 months. It is a 24 month payment plan but it does not start payment till 2 months from now. When I call on this, and told them I wanted no part of their Try Me, they told me it was not refundable. NO cancellations allowed. So they can take your money and not give you a thing in return... Unless you prepay the contract.

I am not happy with their No cancellation policy on this, because they do not give you time to read the fine print and do any investigation on the company. It is a SCAM

I had a timeshare presentation last April 28, 2008. And after 4 hours of pressured sales talk, I finally decided to buy a timeshare. But I wasn't happy with I found out when we we're trying to use their amenities. They were charging us certain amount of money to use their boat bikes and etc. After three days, I went there personally to hand my cancellation letter. I asked the receptionist on who and where can I give the letter. Instead of givingme information, she let me speak with my closing officer thru the phone.

My closing officer told me NOT no hand my cancellation letter to anybody in the building because she'll be helping me out when she comes in the next day. I thought all the while that she'll help me, but I was wrong. She didn't accepted my cancellation letter insted she send another representative to give us a downgraded offer. We still refused the offer but then again she send another person, their manager, who again insisted me to buy a Corporate Account, in which he said a much, much lower price.

So with all these nice deals he gave me, which is 2bedrooms, float, every other year, lockout, in Westgate Blue tree Resort for $7,700, I decided to take the offer believing them that it was a better deal. We have agreed before that I'm cancelling my other purchase in replacement of the 2nd offer. They told me they'll mail my contract as soon as possible. But things got more complicated. I have been calling my closing officer to ask for the contract but she said they got a better deal (AGAIN) fo the same price. She said 2bedroom, float, lockout, every other year but it will be in the Westgate Town center. I was happy with the ofer so I told them to send me a copy of the contract.

Two weeks after, I haven'y receive any contract. Called her again, but then she said they can't make the contract because the price is too low for the deal. So they want to increase the price for $9,800. I was so disappointed with the situation so I told the that I'm not buying anything from them anymore. And that I hope that the cancellation I made after 3 days of purchase will be granted. But then again, they said I can't cancell it anymore because I passed the 10 day period. I told them that it was because of them why my cancellation got delayed.

I belive that what happened to me was a misleading sale and information. And this a way of delaying tactics. Until now, the sale is still pending. All those good deals they've promised is only to good to be true.

I wrote a letter to Management after not hearing back from Corporate as promissed. "Dear Mr. Normington, I stayed at your facility (Westgate Town Center) and felt I needed to make you aware of my experience. I am a displeased guest who has been consistently passed around, offered awful service and disregarded by management.

"On April 5th, I stayed a night at Westgate Town Center. I and several guests arrived to the room, which was beautiful, at around 6pm. (1) Almost immediately, we discovered that the toilet in the master bedroom didn't work. We called maintenance and they responded immediately and fixed the problem. That was great. (2) We left for a moment to go to the store, upon our return, we noticed the electricity shut down (which understandably can happen) due to electrical storm. I called the front desk to inform them of the problem and was told it was a resort wide problem. I then asked I was in the middle of asking the young lady a question and was abruptly hung up on. (In a 5 star facility, I'd expect a call back unless she meant to be rude.)

("3) Due to the fact that we had no electricity, we couldn't cook our dinner, so we sat on the patio, as this was the only place in the suite with a glimmer of light. As we are sitting on the patio, water began spraying up onto the floor from a sprinkler system or broken pipe (I don't know which) down below making it impossible to stay out there. We called maintenance; shortly thereafter the water stopped hitting the patio.

    (4) "2 hours later, the electricity returned (with no apologies from management for the inconvenience regardless of fault) and we began to cook our dinner. On the stove, one of the burners was broken. We called maintenance again. They never came. (5) At around midnight, we heard a loud scream from one of my guests only to discover a large roach decided to join her in the shower. (We killed it and disposed of it)

    (6) I went into my master bedroom for the night, only to discover I didn't know how to activate the tub. (no signage or instructions) (just a piece of advice.. please put a sign)

"(7) One of my guests from the other half of the suite came to my door and indicated that their bathroom didn't work. I advised them we would call maintenance the next morning and they could use my bathroom. (8) After a series of annoyances and inconveniences, the next morning, I called the front desk (as advised by two hotel front desk employees upon check in) and requested late check out. I was placed on hold and transferred. I again asked about late check out. I was then told (hold on) and transferred. once again I asked about late check out.. I was told "one sec" and transferred. I again asked about late check out. I was placed on hold for 5 minutes and transferred again. Eventually I found someone who knew the policy of requesting a late check out. (Your employees need to be re-educated and should ask if it is okay to place you on hold and transfer or place me on hold and find out who knows the answer to my questions before transferring. And introduce the person I am being transferred to)

"(9) After getting the "okay" from a very nice lady at the front desk, we continued making breakfast. As one of my guests reached for the knob to turn on the stove burner, it sparked, made a burn circle around the knob, made a loud pop and shut off the whole stove. (Our breakfast was sitting on the stove half cooked) We called maintenance (who never showed up from last nights call). About half an hour later, the maintenance person showed up carrying the burner we needed to have replaced last night. (So we know they got the first call). When the maintenance man tried to fix the stove it popped again.

"We were not going anywhere near that stove and therefore were not able to utilize the main reason people stay at resort locations--cooking your own food in a fully functional kitchen. The maintenance guy, in-turn, called another maintenance person and the other person showed up 20 minutes later. He then fixed the stove. I asked him if he could fix the other broken toilet, and he indicated he couldn't, but would call someone for us.

"(10) At this point, I felt we needed to speak to management about the continual problems we experienced in ONE night at your resort. I called the front desk and asked for a supervisor. The young man asked about the problems and I told him my story. He then said he would transfer me to a supervisor. He transferred the call to a phone line that rang continually and was never answered by a human or by voicemail. I hung up after 20 rings and called back. I advised the young lady that I am getting very aggravated and don't want to be blankly transferred again. She understood and placed me on hold to find a supervisor.

The call was answered by a supervisor and I again explained the story. She listened and understood and stated the people in charge of customer compensation were tied up with another guest and she would send a manager up to our room, or one would call us about the bad service. 45 minutes later, a manager came to our door and we again explained all the problems we were having (while starving) as he listened. The manager then proceeded to tell us that he is a manager of maintenance and he couldn't help us. (Why did I go thru all of this if he couldn't help us?)

The Maintenance manager stated he would call a customer relations manager who could help us. He placed a call from our living room phone and eventually asked me to take the call in the bedroom. I walked into the bedroom and once again explained the story to the manager on the phone. He then told me that he wasn't a manager; he was the security guard at the front gate. (By this time I'm extremely angry.)

The Security guard said he would call a manager and have them come talk to us. "Clint", very nicely hung up, called a manager and called us back to let us know a customer relations manager would be up shortly. In the living room, the maintenance manager (I was told) stayed on the phone and was laughing during our conversation which is very rude. (11) We waited an hour and no one came. It was now 12:15pm and my guests had to leave hungry and late for their babysitters. We called the front desk again to ask about the manager and a very wise person at the front desk said you'll receive better service if you come down to the front desk.

"(12) Immediately, we went down to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. Ms. Rodriguez, from the management team, sat us down and listened to our woes. Her response was to offer us pizza hut coupons. I was incredibly insulted. First of all...half my guests already left hungry. we spent hours waiting in the room and on the phone and still received no satisfaction. the facility amenities were not useful for the full duration of our stay and customer service was sorely lacking--and she offers us pizza? Ms. Rodriguez stated that no one could offer us anything more. I asked for her manager and waited another hour.

"(13) Johnny Meola and Brian Grabowski arrived with Ms. Rodriguez. Once again we told our story, and whilst we were explaining what happened to us over our stay, Brian Grabowski conducted himself unprofessionally. He proceeded to interrupt me while telling the story and make excuses for each problem. His body language and his tone indicated he decided he was talking to the homeboys back in the ghetto and he was down. He made no attempt to observe our perspective and was not concerned about one of their guests not receiving what was promised by your hotel. He made it seem as if we were street thugs, trying to get something free and didn't deserve to be compensated for our bad experience. We felt Johnny Meola should have asked him to leave.

"(14) Johnny Meola was very nice until he asked if I was an investor. When he found out that I wasn't an investor and I was only owner of a trial package (4 weeks), he seemed to lose interest. My money spent here is just as important as any owner--or is that the way you treat people who are deciding whether or not to invest in your properties?

"(15) We left the hotel after Johnny Meola assured us a full investigation would be put forth which included - listening in to recorded calls to locate the person who hung up on me - checking the history of the suite for maintenance issues - checking the phone records to see how often I was transferred - and contacting the Corporate Headquarters because the lack of customer service is a corporate issue. Mr. Meola indicated someone would call or email me...12 days later, I'm still waiting.

"(16) A couple of days later, I realized I'd forgotten my brand new denim jacket in the closet. I immediately called the lost and found and they didn't have a record of it. I spoke with Elonka who stated she would speak to the person who cleaned the room and see if they found it because they didn't log it in and she would then call me back tomorrow because that person left for the day. I never received my call back.

"Mr. Normington, I have to say that this was one of the worst experiences I've had at a resort. My family and I were strongly considering Westgate as a facility to invest in, however in light of your company's lack of caring, we may have to reconsider. As a business owner, I know the importance of customer service. I hope YOU will take the time to consider the importance of every guest and respond to my email promptly as I still wish to be compensated for my ruined birthday celebration and my guests' dreadful experience. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. "

I did not receive the usage of the facility that I paid for, horrible customer service, simple aggrivation on my vacation, my birthday party was ruined, my brand new jacket lost, food not eaten and wasted and extra babysitting fees paid because we were late getting home while waiting for management to act.

We had bought a timeshare last summer and have 1 week every other year but were told we could get bonus time at any time. Our week is springor fall. I called to make a reservation for their Vegas resort because we could use any of their resorts, and bonus time was $50.00 or $129.00 depending on the room. It turns out they want me to pay a $500.00 upgrade plus the cost of the room ($77.00). We were not told any of this when we purchased said property. I have talked to someone there and told them how I felt about not being told by the salespeople of the hidden charges

I pay $82.00 a month for 4 years that I get one week every other year. I bought the property because we were told we could use the resorts, but you can get hotels cheaper then what they charge. I am disabled at this time awaiting surgery for my neck, so my income is limited. I feel we were misled by their sales tactics.

My wife and I purchased a 'time share' at the Westgate Resort in Park City in June of 2005 -- we were told (on our contract and verbally) that we would have a certain week every even year. When we tried to book our week in 2006 we were told they had no room -- nor did they have room at any other time that we could use. We were told we could easily exchange our week -- we have not been able to find an exchange to accommodate any of a dozen or more trips we've tried to plan as a family.

We were told we could save our week and use it in 2007 -- when we tried to book a reservation in 2007 we were told we had missed our week and would have to wait until 2008. We were told that the company could 'resell' our week if we decided we didn't want it... we are now being told that is not true.

We have spent nearly $15K on this time share and have nothing to show for it! We want our money back!

We have paid nearly $15 and still counting (annual fees, mortgage interest).

The closing officer of Westgate Resort (who sells timeshare) told us told us that once we signed the contract on that day, we can not back up with our time share. After three days I've learned that we can still back up. So I personally brought back the package in his office. I wrote a letter stating our dislike of the timeshare and that we have no money for this yet. He took all the package and just left without assuring us that we will get the money. Only this Feb 25, we learned that they didn't close our account.

We went on vacation and went to a vacation tour. We were pretty interested in their selling of timeshares. After hours of badgering us, we agreed on a monthly payment, and were told that we got the cheapest deal. We were told we could refinance the high apr thru the bank after we got home from vacation. Since the day we signed the papers, we have attempted to call them and cancel the agreement, as we learned that the same exact timeshare was selling for under 3,000.

We were sold one for 13,000 with a 17 percent interest rate. We tried for hours, days, weeks to get thru to someone. We sent letters. We got no where, but in the meantime we kept up with the monthly payments, maintenance fees, taxes. We have spent over 5,000 already and have not even used the timeshare - we attempted to this year, but again could not get thru to reserve it. It literally took weeks with hours at a time to get thru, only to be told we had to pay an additional 150.00 to use another resort, which we paid and then had to cancel because it would have cost us over 2500.00 for transportation.

We called again for weeks to cancel, only to be told we could not get a refund, or use the week. We were told as a courtesy that we could pay another 150.00 to use it next year. This is totally a scam, they saw us coming and took advantage of us and our vacation. We were told we could deed the timeshare back to them, and just walk away - something that the management states it is not true. We don't know where to go with this. At this point, we are thinking about letting it go into foreclosure and ruining our credit. Can anyone help us with this mess?

continued financial strain, with nothing to show for it. We were told we could cancel within 3 weeks, but conveniently no one would help us.

The consequences of this problem is that I don't agree with their policy. They never told me that I had to call three months prior to make reservations. Most times that I have vacation I don't even get three months in advance. Now I want to cancel the purchase of this time share.

This is a timeshare in Florida. My complaint is I had authorized Westgate-CFI Resorts to make direct debit payments out ofmy checking account every 25th of each month and this was done for approximately over a year without problems until, October 3rd, they took out of my account the $276.67 three weeks to soon (I think this was a computer error) but because of the earlier payment it threw my payment schedule off for other bills going through at that time. Therefore I had four checks which were charged $30 each insufficient funds, a total of $120.

They said they would help us and send us paperwork via Century 21 up there. They said they would get us a good deal with Century 21. So, we agreed and purchased a Vacation Occupancy & Price Lock in Agreement for the sum of 595.00. We put 200.00 down and waited for the bill for the rest and the paperwork to sell our timeshare. We received the bill and nothing else. I tried contacting them, no one wants to talk to us and will not return our calls.

We are out 200.00 and we feel they promised us help to sell our timeshare just to get a sale. They lied to us and we feel cheated.
