My advice to future customer is to be realistic with the price to sell. We have to lower the price many times until we sold.

When I started my process for looking for a Marriott Timeshare, I was concerned about getting connected to a reputable broker who could help me through the process. I looked into a few timeshare brokers and the one who was most responsive for me was ** at SellMyTimeshareNow. I challenged ** to find me a deal at a very aggressive price and he kept in touch with updates and within a week found a deal for me. For me, the best part was his responsiveness to my questions and how he helped me through the process. He was willing to work to find me a deal that met my parameters. I would highly recommend ** and SellMyTimeshareNow. I have already recommended to my brother and he was also successful in getting a great deal.

After investigating many options for selling our timeshare, we settled on SellMyTimeshareNow for their responsiveness and affordability. While it took a while (1 year) to get traction on finding a buyer, once an offer was made, we couldn't have been happier with the process. The folks at SellMyTimeshareNow kept us constantly up to date on the process of the sale (a very involved process!) and answered all our questions both through email and phone. I would recommend using SellMyTimeshareNow and would use them again!

I am a Diamond Resorts Platinum owner. With changes in our family situation, we have not been able to travel as we had hoped when we purchased our Time Share. We put our Time Share up for sale with SellMyTimeshare, and shortly after, ** contacted me about the possibility of renting out our units to travelers that request vacations. I was very excited and hopeful, because this would help us to pay our annual maintenance fees. I have been working with ** at Time Share Services since then, and they are so wonderful to work with.
I have already shared their contact info with a few others that were interested in renting out their Time Shares. Each one of these wonderful people have been so kind, caring, sincere, efficient, understanding, polite, and ultimately professional in every way. I can tell that they truly care about their travelers, as well as their clients, and hold everyone's best interest at heart! I highly recommend Time Share Services and give them all the stars available!! Thank you all for helping me this year! It has truly been a pleasure to work with you!

On February 4, 2016, we were referred by another company to sell our timeshare through SellMyTimeShareNow, LLC. At first we were hesitant, at least my husband was very much hesitant, but we desperately needed to sell because we are struggling with payments, etc. On Feb. 23, 2016, we signed a contract through one of their executive consultant, **. He was very persistent and said they have good reviews, testimonials that have helped many people and I guess I believed them but not my husband.
After signing, ** was no longer in the picture. Although we were only going into 2 months of our contract, and no guarantee of selling our timeshare, we constantly wants to be informed at least, or be called as promised. ** told me on the phone to call me at least every 2 weeks to inform of what is going on, but nothing, no calls, NADA. I sent emails, phone calls and directly left message on his extension but no answer and no reply. At this point, we were getting the feeling of a big mistake in signing with them. It was a big mistake! Now, we are asking for full refund.

We purchased a one bedroom deluxe week at the awesome Westgate Town Center in Orlando. My son is seven, so we plan on using many weeks to come for our family. The transaction was very professional. The representatives at SellMyTimeshareNow followed up in a timely fashion anytime I had questions regarding the process. The process was smooth. I have enjoyed an entire week at my home resort using Interval International for a getaway! (During Spring Break, this year). One of the perks of being a timeshare owner. The questioning the hour: Would I recommend this site? Yes. Why? Because I liked their order and their stress-free experience! I work as a Social Worker in an extremely stressful environment! They made buying easy with no hustle, hassle or stress! Many thanks!

My husband and I purchased a timeshare week several years ago and found that we were not using it and it was costing us money with assessments every year. We contacted SellMyTimeShareNow and spoke with the representative who put us in touch with the broker who then assisted us in deciding what a good price would be to sell it FAST. We priced the week very low and it sold quickly. I cannot comment on how long it would have taken to sell the week if we were not willing to take a loss on it. Paperwork was easy to submit and we were assisted thru the escrow and closing process. Everything went smoothly, taking about 3 months from placing the ad to receiving our check for the sale.

When listing to sell my timeshare I was shown timeshares at my ownership which had sold recently for more than I was listing for. I was told to list at around $10000 and to not worry about paying yearly dues as that would be covered when sold. I owed $750 in yearly dues. To foreclose I would have lost that amount. Instead I listed with SellMyTimeshareNow in October for $10000. I have dropped my price every 2-4 weeks and am down to $6000. I now owe another $750 in dues so am out of pocket over $3500 and probably will not get this sold through them. False advertising. I have not had one offer of interest on this property in Scottsdale, AZ.

We were in Myrtle Beach for a presentation by Wyndham about Timeshare points program. After the program we contacted SellMyTimeshareNow to see what is available on the resale market. Our agent quickly found a great deal for us to consider. We had no pressure, and a week later decided to make the purchase. All done by E-Mail conveniently at home for property located in Hawaii. They took care of all the details and let us know all the total costs... They kept us posted on progress and let us know when the final papers went to Wyndham for their action. One day after receiving papers from Wyndham, we made our first vacation plan, at our first choice location, at our requested dates, and it only took 1/2 an hour. I'd recommend SellMyTimeshareNow.com services to anyone.

I was told that I should hurry, spring was the best time to sell my timeshare and that it was worth like 12000. It's been close to a year the person that started to help me stopped after 3 months then it was someone else, never the same person again. I kept lowering and lowering the price and it never helped. My name is Bernice and I am very happy to say that my timeshare has been sold. After much searching I came upon SellMyTimeshareNow. I tried for months to get help in selling our timeshare in California but was unsuccessful until I found SellMyTimeshareNow. The company in which we bought it from wanted nothing to do with helping us sell it back to them. I thought we would never be able to sell. We live thousands of miles away from the timeshare and kept hitting dead ends until I spoke with SMT.
They were very professional, placed the ad immediately and set out to help. When we finally got a contract much to our relief they kept us abreast each step of the selling process. I always received a phone call back in a timely fashion explaining exactly what was happening. Any snag I encountered was promptly addressed. One company wanted to charge us a hefty amount just to donate the timeshare. I highly recommend using SMT to sell your timeshare. They promised they would sell it and they did!!!

I contacted SellMyTimeshareNow because my wife and I did not think we would be using the timeshare as much as we thought and wanted to get some value from our investment. Every company we talked with wanted us to simply give them our timeshare with no compensation. From looking at resales of timeshares we knew that we would not get our purchase price and were somewhat realistic as to what we could possibly receive. While apprehensive of selling our timeshare over the telephone and by e-mail we liked that SellMyTimeshareNow would market the timeshare and keep us informed during the process. Their marketing fee seemed reasonable. The experience could not have been easier.
Once the property was marketed we began getting looks and then offers. We rejected the first few offers then set a minimum price which we finally received. The closing process, which is complicated by the property being in a foreign country, went smoothly. The folks in charge of the closing process explained the process in a detailed manner and any documents required were sent with clear instructions. I was updated on the process on a consistent basis. The process was headache-free and we are very grateful. We started the process in the middle of August and received our proceeds at the end of March. The folks to thank at SellMyTimeshareNow are ** who started the process, ** who actually negotiated the sale of the timeshare, and **, **, and ** who handled the closing. We are very pleased with the entire process and the service we received.

My husband and I had 2 timeshare accounts that we were no longer using. We were not sure how to sell them. We researched the internet and found SellMyTimeshareNow. We made the phone call and listed both of our timeshare properties for sale and for rent right over the phone. We had 28 inquiries to rent our timeshare from January 2015 when our listing was posted on the internet until we accepted an offer for the sale of both timeshares in October of 2015. Our experience with SellMyTimeshareNow was an easy and comfortable experience. The customer service department was always available via phone or e-mail to answer all of our questions.
However the process with the closing and escrow has not gone as smoothly. One sale was finalized after 4 months and the other is still pending. Doing business via e-mail is a tedious process, documents need to be notarized and faxed to both the sellers and the buyers. This all takes time. But overall I would use SellMyTimeshareNow again.

My sister and I were reluctant to attempt selling our timeshares as we heard many of the companies that offer to sell timeshares promise the world and do not deliver. After researching SMTN.com and long conversations with my sister, we decided to move forward on 2/10/15 when we signed the contract. On 2/09/16, we received an email with an offer. We negotiated and came to an agreement. All documents were executed in a timely manner with associates standing by with any questions my sister and I may have had. The staff was extremely accommodating and exceeded our expectations in every way. We actually received just yesterday, 3/28/16, our closing statement and our check. My sister and I are very happy with the services at SMTN.com and look forward to the sale of our 2nd timeshare we are selling in the near future. Thank you for a marvelous, non stressful experience.

I listed our St. George's, Bermuda timeshare with SMTN and received ongoing support throughout the listing process. I asked for specific changes to the standard St. George's listing and changes were made quickly. It was very easy to work with SMTN Customer Service. In the September 2015, we received an offer through Timeshare Broker Services and after some back and forth negotiation, we accepted an offer to sell our timeshare. All the required paperwork was handled through Timeshare Closing Services. They provided a check off sheet with the paperwork, which ensured all documents were completed when required. The buyers also had similar documents plus escrow requirements. All documentation was completed in late December 2015.
In late January 2016, Timeshare Closing Services notified us via email that all required documents were sent to the resort to update their records with the transfer. The transfer could take up to 90 days by the resort. Timeshare Closing Services sent several emails to let us know they were continuing to follow up with the resort. The transfer was completed in early March 2016, and we received the proceeds of the sale in one week. I recommend SMTN. Everyone was very professional and easy to work with too.

Dealing with SellMyTimeshareNow.com was easy as pie. I just picked the place I wanted, the number of points I wanted, and then made an offer, which was accepted. The next day all the expenses were laid out for me and highlighted. I should mention that the timeshare I purchased was from an International seller from Australia and I was an International buyer from Canada, so from purchase to title in hand was about 10 months. Even though it took some time, every now and then I would receive a follow up email advising me they have not forgotten about me, and that they were just waiting for paperwork. Now that this timeshare has been purchased and is complete, I think I will look for another.

I am retired and on a fixed income. The annual maintenance fee to my timeshare was no longer in my budget and I had to let my timeshare go. I had investigated and even seriously contemplated spending over $3,500 to another company who would take over ownership of my property, but decided to give SellMyTimeshare a chance before going that route.
I received automated emails anytime someone reviewed my ad. Eventually, one of them was a solid offer. While the transfer process took a little longer than I had imagined, I learned that was the nature of property transfer, not this company's doing. I was kept in the loop during the entire process and when I had questions, I got a real human at the other end of the line without having to wait. The best feature that I appreciated was the honest and open communication throughout the process. I would recommend SellMyTimeshare services as the most cost effective way to transfer ownership of anyone's Timeshare property.

I've been reading all these reviews and I believe they are all lies. I paid off SellMyTimeshare to see my timeshare in Aug 2015 and I haven't heard anything from them as of yet. I called to lower the price on my timeshare and that was the last interaction. I wouldn't recommend this site to no one.

I have been trying to sell my timeshare for several years. I have spent thousands of dollars with different sites that have promised that they would promote my timeshare and get it sold for me. I even had one person call and tell me they had a buyer for my timeshare and would I please wire them $5,000 to start the closure process. All of these were scams and once I paid my money I NEVER had any more communication with them. When I tried to follow up, the phone numbers were disconnected and the addresses had been changed. I found SellMyTimeshareNow on the internet. I was leery thinking this was another scam. I made the phone call to speak to them and they proved to me that they were all over the internet. They showed me how many timeshares they had already sold. I took a lot of convincing that this was not just another scam but they showed me real proof that this was real.
When I finally agreed to list my timeshare with SellMyTimeshareNow, the agent gave me some great advice on the price to list my timeshare. I had suggested that we list the timeshare at a lower price to get it sold and the agent advised me to list it at a higher price because at the higher price is was still lower than the lowest price for a timeshare at my same resort. I took that advice and on the first day of listing, I received 3 people who were looking at my timeshare. Within one week, I had a buyer. I had full say in what selling price I was willing to take. The first offer was less than I needed so I countered with an additional price.
During this process, I had another offer from another party, which I declined due to giving the first offer the first chance. The first party countered with another offer and I accepted. During all this time, SellMyTimeshareNow kept me in the loop and sent e-mails to me letting me know the status of the sale. SellMyTimeshareNow handled ALL the paperwork and handled all the communication with my home resort. I have had nothing but positive experiences with SellMyTimeShareNow.

I have never wanted to own a timeshare until I visited Pueblo Bonito Rose last year. I fell in love with the place and decided to explore the possibility of purchasing a timeshare on the secondary market. I found a unit I was interested in and contact Timeshare, Inc. to purchase the remaining years of this timeshare. They were asking a price that was out of my range as both my husband and I are retired. The staff at Timeshare found out what we could pay and made it happen. They were extremely helpful with providing all necessary paperwork in a timely manner as well as providing timelines for return of paperwork follow up by emails and phone calls to be sure we were on track. Once all paperwork on our side was complete they followed up with emails providing updates on progress. They let us know when all paperwork was sent to Mexico and sent us a letter with our contract information once everything was finalized.
The whole experience was a positive one with guidance along the way from the staff at Timeshare, Inc. The only improvement I would suggest is that the phone number to contact the resort for reservation be changed to 800-990-8250. The number list on the document I received was 800-685-8736 and there was no way using that number to talk to a live person. I ended up calling Pueblo Bonito Rose resort directly and they connected me with reservations. Again that staff was extremely helpful in providing us with the week we wanted.

I feel we just got ripped off - again. I want to call them this week and take my post down and get some money back. Good luck, right?? We've had the listing up for almost a year now, no leads. It's no wonder - he was dishonest about what we should price it at, the fact there are closing fees and legal crap we ourselves are responsible for if we do get an interest, and just how many listings and buyings are happening. I am scared all their positive reviews and "increased ratings" after discussing disputes with a rep are fake. Who knows? I have lost my trust though.
When you shell out this kind of money on top of the nightmarish mistake of a timeshare, you should be allowed some honesty and legitimate help. I don't feel I got either. I wish I had researched more and I think our best bet now might be hiring a lawyer / other company to just get us out... There are no guarantees a timeshare will sell, people! Or that something won't get buggered up in the selling process - which you need a lawyer for anyways, apparently! Or that you won't end up in extreme legal complications after donating a timeshare - something else you need to research - due to lies, lies, lies. These companies look for the vulnerable and try to get more money off them. Sad.

I contacted SMTN back in sept 2015. I was given a wonderful sales pitch about how my property could be sold very quickly yada yada. After giving them $1000, I was assured that no more money was to be spent in selling the timeshare as the cost of closing would be deducted from my $1000. I placed the timeshare for sale at $1000 hoping to recoup some of the money spent. I got what I felt were bogus offers. 2 I actually pursued.
I had to contact the prospective buyer, not them! Call was from a timeshare sell off company that wanted $3k to sell it for me. The other was a good offer since I had it for sale at $1 at this point in 2016. I contacted the buyer saying "yes that's the price and no other funds needed to sell it." Well their broker called them to tell them they needed to pay $850 in broker fees. Isn't that what I paid them for already? The deal fell through. When I called SMTN they told me how I signed an agreement stating that would be part of the sale. Sorry, When I paid $1k that was enough. These crooks will take your money and post it for you. I could have done the same thing on craigslist for free.

My experience with SellMyTimeshareNow was satisfactory. Everyone I dealt with was very professional. In fact, when there was a misunderstanding with the final contract the agent was very helpful. My only suggestion for improvement would be that the salespeople are more transparent about the fees and commissions.

I was told that timeshares were selling well at my resort and there was a good market. I was told I would be able to sell it no problem. I've lowered the price again and again and not offer in almost a year. I've asked for info on other sales of timeshares at my resort but was told I'm not able to get that info but that they are selling. I would like to get my money back since there's no proof that they're selling anything. I don't recommend SellMyTimeshareNow!

We sold the timeshare in February 2016. We started in July 2015 and the help was good up to September. I tried to contact the sales person every week with no success. I finally reached a manager and was transfer to a different individual. In November, we received an offer and sent in the paper work. At this point, they sent back information via email but the email address was incorrect and we did not receive it. The sale on this fell through because of the error. However, another offer came through in early January 2016 and we sold the timeshare finally. Overall, the service was good except the individual that I worked with at the beginning. One note - Customer service will not get back to you until there is an inquiry on your timeshare and this was through email.

After owning a Caribbean timeshare for 20 years, I felt it was the right time to sell, so I contacted SellMyTimeshareNow to get an understanding of the process and the fees involved. The agent I spoke to extremely helpful and informative, making the process very easy to understand. My timeshare was for sale for approximately 5 months before I got a contract, but during that time, SMTN stayed in contact with me regularly and returned my calls promptly if I needed additional information. During the contract completion phase, they were very prompt in forwarding needed paperwork and followed up with phone calls to ensure I had everything and answered any questions I had. Although the closing activity took much longer than expected once under contract, SMTN was not involved in that part of the process, so it was beyond their control. I am now "timeshare free," thanks to SMTN!

We used SellMyTimeshareNow to get rid of a timeshare we no longer wanted. The property was for sale for around two years with no interest. We really did not want to continue paying maintenance fees, so we lowered the price. SellMyTimeshareNow had no problem with lowering the price. Once a buyer was interested and haggled back and forth on the price. SellMyTimeshareNow was a great go between during that process. Once the paperwork started on the sell to the new owner SellMyTimeshareNow took care of everything. We did have a few problems once the sell was complete. SellMyTimeshareNow worked with us to work out the problems. I would use SellMyTimeshareNow again and have recently recommended them to a friend.

Don't hesitate to contact SellMyTimeshareNow. Although it took some time to sell it eventually did. At the time I listed I didn't have to pay commission until the unit sold, I had the option of paying upfront or when it sold. I made less paying on the back end but I felt more comfortable with the idea. I had been burned before in the past, paying to list with another company then never hearing from them again. They contacted me with an offer from a potential buyer and I accepted. They walked me through the process with good communication and instructions.

Sellmytimesharenow.com promises great things, but never delivers! I reached out to SMTN.com back in June 2014 and spoke with Janice **. After a very upbeat, promising phone consultation and talking things over with the wife, I scraped up and borrowed enough cash to pay this company $1598 to sell our timeshare. What else was a couple struggling with health and financial issues supposed to do? Of course, we were promised the world.
I was assured that SMTM.com was the largest and very best at selling timeshares and that mine was a great, sought after property and would be a cinch to sell. I even heard it would probably sell within 6-8 months. That never happened. Again, they scam you into believing you will get results, then disappear after they get your money. As of writing this, almost 2 years later, we've received one fake inquiry for a ridiculously low amount of money and we are still stuck with the financial burden of our timeshare. Sure wish I had that $1598 back in my bank. Would be huge for my family during these tough times. Please help!

Back in March of 2015 I lost my job. My wife and I own 2 timeshares with Holiday In Vacation Club. In an effort to be sure we could pay our bills I inquired online to SellMyTimeshareNow about selling these properties. I received a callback in a very timely manner. After providing the required information, learning what we should be able to sell the properties for and paying the fees to list the properties; the properties were listed. The Executive Consultant I worked with understood our situation and felt at least one of the properties should sell in a timely fashion.
Over the first 6 weeks there was constant communications until after the second round of fees was paid (almost 2.5k in total). Then there was no communication unless I called SMTN. Each time I called I was advised we should consider reducing the asking price to help share the properties which I did. Last contact, again made by me, was in Nov 2015 and to date we still have not received 1 offer. Very disappointed and would not recommend anyone use this service.

When I contact the sales rep, I get the "Oh, it's still in verification and everything is on track." Everything is clearly not on track. This is taking too long for the next step and I am genuinely concerned my deposit is lost.

I had contacted them originally to see about selling my timeshare and the lady that I talked with made it sound like the perfect way to sell it. After the initial consult, I said I needed to talk with my husband about it and she said she would call the following week. That she did (like clockwork) but I was not able to speak with her about it then. From that point on she kept on calling and saying "We wouldn't be in business for as long as we have been if we weren't the best and committed to helping you sell your property." She said all the right things to make me believe her... IE: My timeshare is in HOT demand and would sell quickly. I still felt like something wasn't quite right and I should have followed my gut instinct but unfortunately I did not. So after her sending me the contract and telling me the price to list my timeshare I went ahead and paid the $1798.
I thought (based on our conversation) that I would hear something within the next few weeks with either a contract from a buyer or about lowering the price but here it is a month later and I haven't heard one word from her since. Seems definitely like a SCAM! They lead you to believe in what they say but the second they have your money they are in the wind. Should have listened to my gut and ran away as fast as possible. So not only am I out the $1798 but I still own the timeshare and have to pay their fees as well.

First of all, I would like to advice everyone that doesn't have the time to schedule vacation within at least a year in advance. Stay away from time shares. But if for whatever reason you are stuck with one, DO NOT use Sell My Time Share Now, LLC. There are other option that do not require money upfront. I paid 998.00 to sell My Time Share Now back in January 2013 when I called then inquiring about how to precede to sell my time share, and what would be a reasonable price I order to make a quick sale. It is 2016 and still have it. I gave up on them, something everyone should do. Sell My Time Share Now deliberately said that it will sell within weeks if I list it for around 17,000. Long story short I never received an offer nearly one fourth of the suggested price.
I reduce the price several time and nothing. Lots of inquiries, but no sell. Not only that each and every offer requires closing fees that Sell My Time Share Now, LLC wasn't covering after all. Sell My Time Share Now LLC. took no responsibility of any kind. They claimed they are doing what they suppose to do. Neither they acknowledge to mislead customers to write them a check for something they misinformed in order to collect some money from people that doesn't know any better. Please get informed. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY away that easy, specially to Sell My Time Share Now, LLC.

Like a lot of people, I purchased a timeshare through Wyndham and soon after realized I could not afford it. About the only option I had was to sell it on the resale market and after searching the web, I decided to give SellMyTimeShareNow a try. I spoke with one of their representatives and was led to believe that I could maybe sell my $45,000 timeshare for something close to $20,000. I paid them an upfront fee of $1598 which was my first mistake. This was on 5/7/15. Since then they have only called me once about a prospective offer. I was told that someone was interested in making me an offer and that they would contact me directly but they never did. I thought that part of the upfront fee was to have SellMyTimeshareNow act on my behalf and negotiate for me.
Also, after reading many experience with selling timeshares, I have found out that most people are selling theirs on eBay and are lucky with they can get a few hundred dollars. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service of SellMyTimeShareNow. I would think that they would check in with their clients every month or two, but I have not heard from them in at least 6 months. $1598 is outrageous to pay just for an online ad. I do not feel that they are doing anything to sell my timeshare.

I was told that I should list my property right after labor day because this was a "hot time of year for resale". The salesperson told me that the recommended range is between 16k-17k. I listed at 14900 and no offers, I dropped the price two more times down to 12500 and still no offers, not even one. I went on the website to see what the other listings looked like and they have 1 bedroom listings being listed at 2k. Why would someone tell me that the recommended range is between 16k -17k when there are listings on there for 2k? I called to ask this question but nobody has answers.
They also listed mine as a 1br deluxe but don't know the difference between a 1br and a 1br deluxe. 3 different people I spoke to and no one knows the difference between the 1br and 1br deluxe and no one can explain why there are listings for 2k but I was told I should list at 16k. Of course this is all after they have taken the listing and closing fee in full. COMPLETE SHAM.

I have a timeshare to sell. I searched the Internet in hopes of some help selling it, I came across SellMyTimeshareNow.com. I was reluctant to list with them after my first conversation with the representative and based on the online reviews (lot of bad reviews). After telling them no, the representatives kept calling, and then lowered the price a few times, then eventually the Manager (she claimed to be) called and she sounded knowledgeable and assured me that my particular timeshare location was extremely popular and were selling for more than my expected price and would sell soon. I was pretty much guaranteed my timeshare would be an easy sell. Under their extremely professional skillful high-pressure sales tactics and their eagerness to take your money by saying what you wanted to hear, I was persuaded in the high hopes of selling my timeshares and gave them a try.
After signing the contract with them, no one from SellMyTimeshareNow has reached out to me or given me the update as promised. I never heard a word from them since. Weeks then months gone by, my listing appears to still be on the site among the thousands of listings and hundreds in my timeshare location (contrary to what I was previously told that there were only some listings in my timeshare location), with no nibble, nothing.
I've asked them to provide a list of recent sales at my timeshare location and of similar listings as evidence of something is being sold there, but they said they can't share that with me and all that information is being handled by the closing company that they forward you to when you actually get a buyer. It appears that this company is just collecting unreasonable amount of fees to list the timeshare on a website that may or may not attract any buyers. I agree with others that this company needs to be investigated and put a stop for them to scam more people.

In looking to sell a timeshare I was not utilizing. I spoke with a gentleman at Sell My Timeshare Now. He stated that my particular timeshare location was extremely popular and were selling for upwards of $30,000. He also ensured me that I would deal with him and only him directly until my timeshare sold. After enrolling (now over a year ago) I have not heard from the original man I spoke with since making my payment and I have repeatedly dropped my listing price to attract offers (currently cut the price down to $6,000) without a single inquiry.
Frustrated I reached out to customer service and requests that a manager contact me. This time I spoke to a lady who informed me that they do not guarantee a sale (understood) but also went on to say that they have so many timeshares in my locations and that limits my chances of making a sale. Also, that people didn't make money on resale. Quite a different tune once I paid for the account vs. when they were attempting to make the sale. I do not recommend wasting your money here.

I contacted SellMyTimeshareNow with the hopes of selling my timeshare at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas. They informed me that it was their hottest selling timeshare location and that my particular timeshare would be worth somewhere in the mid $20,000s. I listed the timeshare for $25000 since it's right in the middle of the 20's. But of course this came at a cost of roughly $1700 to do so. Since then... crickets. The only correspondence I've received is when I ask them to lower my price ad (which I've done several times now) and they do. Still, only crickets, no nibbles of interest what so ever.
I've asked them to provide a list of recent sales at my timeshare location and of similar listings so that I can actually see something is being sold there, but they said they can't share that with me. They said all that info is handled by the closing company that they forward you to when you actually get a buyer. I have my doubts that this place isn't just collecting people's fees to list their timeshare for them. What a waste of money. Now I'll have to look to Craigslist or other means of selling the timeshare myself since they've been virtually no help at all.

After another 3 months, still no one called to make any offers or show any interest. I now called the company, to request I get a pro-rated refund for the balance of the 7 months as no one ever contacted me from the company, keeping me informed or suggesting I try to again reduce the price.
When asked what other units in my complex have sold for, they could not tell me and told me to look on site for recent offers (which I did and not one listing at my timeshare location). Location is Divi Resorts in Aruba and have an excellent week. Again, I reduced price 2 months ago and still nothing. Sellmytimeshare refuses to give me any credit for their charge and I was told that this is their fee to set up web page! Sellmytimesharenow is not a company that you should trust. My husband and I wanted to sell our timeshare because we don't use it as much as we used to. After contacting this company 2 years ago, they continued to call and call until we were willing to hear what they had to say. They told us they could sell our timeshare easily because it is a "popular company" that our timeshare was with. After telling them no, and then lowering the price a few times, we decided to try them out. After being told by our sales woman that we could receive a refund if we are not happy. We paid them $2000 to sell 2 timeshare deeds.
** was available any time I needed her before we paid... Afterwards, she would not answer the phone. Sometimes she would reply to my emails, but not after about a month. It has now been 5 months with no updates. I received one call, recently, about a special that they had where they could "rent" our timeshare out and "make us some money" until it sells. We are not interested in that! We just want our money back!! BEWARE... DO NOT GIVE SMTN.COM YOUR MONEY! I intend to write a review every place I can so that no one else will experience what we have.

Why would I buy from you if I could buy it from the resort for that much? I listed my timeshare so I was in the lower 10% of the timeshares on the market like mine and had a successful sale in 7 mos. I paid SellMyTimeShareNow, $1600 to sell my TimeShare which was a big mistake because after I did it I was told that an accredited company would never ask for money up front. Basically what I did was pay them to put my add on their website and then do nothing. I have contacted them and stressed my concern as professionally as possible, considering how upset I have been with their lack of services. Here I am five months later waiting and praying that it will sell. I read their reviews and they seemed to get some good ones. I thought I had done my research, but apparently not enough. I wouldn't use them if you are trying to sell. Especially because of the fact that they take money up front. If they really stood by their promise they would sell it first and then have you pay. Hopefully some good will come out of this soon and then I would certainly be happy to give them a better review.

I had no idea where to get help to sell our timeshare. I contacted SellMyTimeshareNow.com because of a mention of them in an AARP magazine. The process of pricing the timeshare, the description of the timeshare and the contacts this company has made selling it efficient and effective. Good communications from the agents who managed my ad. The closing process was surprisingly simple and painless. I feel so relieved by the sale of our unit and pleased with SellMyTimeshareNow.com.

I was able to speak with the customer care supervisor within 24 hours of posting my review. Mr. ** was able to address my concerns and provide a written clarification of my questions. As a result, I know that SellMyTimeShareNOW will honor their commitment to continue to run my advertisement FOR FREE until the unit sells even after the 12 month initial contract period has passed.
I understand that often times these timeshares don't have the resale value we think they should have. I also understand that they do take the time to sell because the resale price is above what the market will bear.
SellMyTimeShareNOW was recommended by the Sheraton Broadway Plantation folks and they have now demonstrated that they are worthy of our trust. We just need to realize that patience is required because there is a limited market for timeshare resales. SellMyTimeShareNOW is the industry leader and has demonstrated this through the fantastic customer service they provided to me in response to my concerns.
I would recommend this company if anyone has a timeshare they want to get rid of. I would caution that all sellers be realistic in pricing their units otherwise they will be disappointed.

I contacted this company on the recommendation of my timeshare company (Sheraton Broadway Plantation) who told me they don't buy back timeshares. I paid $1,298 in December of 2014 and created the ad. I priced my timeshare based on my conversation with the saleswoman. The ad went up and then nothing. I never had a single inquiry. I lowered the price twice after consulting with a realtor and still nothing. They have been responsive in regards to changing the ad to reflect the lower price but they don't provide any statistics to show you any type of a success percentage.
I also noticed that the number of sales they list hadn't changed in more than 6 months. I am sitting here a year later with a timeshare in Myrtle Beach I don't want or need and no real prospect of getting rid of it. Their sales contract states that if it doesn't sell within the first year, they may continue listing your property at no charge on a month by month basis until the property sells. I am waiting to see if that is actually the case.
Hi Jerry,
I was glad to be able to speak with you this afternoon and address your concerns. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me in the future with any questions, concerns, or adjustments to your advertisement. I will be happy to assist you.
Best Regards,

We decided this summer that we were going to sell our time share, and didn't just go with any company. We did our research and talked to many companies and thought we were making a right decision to go with the Sell My Timeshare Now company. This were great during the initial process, getting everything set up to sell. Our rep, ** was very nice and kept in contact with us regularly until we made the final decision to use this company for our sale. We made the decision in August (2015), and now it is mid October and haven't heard a single word from this company since they scammed us for our money. We have tried calling and have yet to receive a call back. Even though we have left many voice mails, they won't return our emails either. Beware of this company. They are out to scam people and run with your money.

UPDATE: I again got into contact with Jacob Treadwell. Discussing our problems & concerns with him, he did give me options on what I can do or expect in order to sell our units. After not hearing from someone for over a year, I feel better knowing that our unit is starting to move around. And hopefully, it will be out of our hands & into someone else who can appreciate this wonderful unit! I will have to update my star rating as well from 1 star to 4.

Once my husband and I paid off our timeshare and had the deed, we thought it was going to be a breeze to sell our timeshare. However we have been scammed numerous times with other companies promising that they can sell our unit. Doing a little research we found this company and contacted them. Again, they promised that our unit was a "GEM" with all the bells and whistles and would sell VERY QUICKLY within the next 3-6 months. This was back in June 2014. I had to be the one who contacted them to see if there was any updates and maybe anything we can do to help sell our unit. I have yet, to received any phone calls, emails, postal mail from them informing us on any updates or changes.
We've had our timeshare since 2006 and used it maybe 2 times. My husband is in the US Army and hardly is home for us to take full advantage of it. We continue to lower the price but nothing has changed. No responses and were left hanging, continuing to pay these dreadful maintenance fees. I hate to think that we are suckered into another scammed company. They were so quick to ask us for money to start their services. But as in seeing any results in any of these "services" that came with selling our unit.... again, we have yet to see anything.

We contacted Sellmytimeshare to assist in selling our deeded timeshare. At the time we contacted them to research their service they told us they currently had more offers pending than timeshares listed. They guaranteed they would sell our timeshare. We were required to pay $1000 for listings fees. We listed our timeshare on December 2014 and to date have yet to receive a single offer. We have lowered the price, which we were informed was already listed at an "easy sell" price. We have had no communications from this company since. Our salesperson was **. I was contacted by them after searching for ways to sell my timeshare. The lady I spoke to told me that she could sell it fast that there was a need for my size units and I could get a good price for it. She asked why I was selling. I told her wife had passed in April. I was in need of the money for other things, and that I had tried once before and got took for with another company. I told her I couldn't afford what they wanted so she gave me a discounted rate. I was still hesitant to do it but she it won't take long to sell. So I agreed to do it. Well once I paid, got confirmation, never heard anymore. I call checking, never got the lady I spoke with and they told me it was listed but had no response.
This was in June, 1 month after I paid. I asked if there were any views, couldn't tell me, said no way to track them. I asked what do I need to do? Lower price - I did. So now it Oct, hadn't heard anything again. Called, got same thing as last time, just different person so I lowered it again - no help. I thought they were suppose to help me sell it but it's like all the others scam - get you no refund, you're just out. I would never use them again.

My experience with SellMyTimeshareNow was extremely positive. Initially I was really cautiously optimistic as I had been trying to sell my timeshare for two years. When I first spoke to ** I was immediately put at ease and he proved to be highly energetic, knowledgeable and diligent all the way through the process. He was patient with my situation of having 3 co-owners which wasn't always easy when it came to getting signatures on documents. He was helpful every step of the way. He kept me up to date with regular e-mails and telephone calls and nothing was too much trouble for him.
My initial hesitation was proved to be groundless and I would highly recommend this company to help you navigate through the complicated process of selling a timeshare and making it seem easy. Once it got to escrow I had no problems there either. Everyone involved performed professionally and made sure I understood what was needed and made sure I had copies of everything that I needed to keep for my records.

My husband and I purchased a timeshare at VA Beach to use to trade off for our vacations. After realizing that everywhere we wanted to trade to go never had availability through Interval, we decided to sell. We did read about scams out there. However after speaking with customer service and then showing their site and how many views they have and stating that they sell so many timeshares everyday to people all over the world, we decided to try. After a couple of months and not hearing one word from them, I called and stated that I decided to keep the timeshare and wanted a refund of some kind. I was told, "Sorry, we can't do that. All you Can do is lower the price and hope to sell it." $1500 and 4 months later, we have not had any offers. I have lowered the price. I can't believe there is not a way to track how many people have viewed your site if any. Feeling so upset with myself for trusting this company. Do not waste money on this company.

It started out with a great explanation of what the service has to offer you. They show you that their site gets a lot of traffic and what not but, later you find out that they do not track the "visits" to your ad. The price for the offer sign up was 1798 which was high for me but, I need to sell my timeshare for financial reasons. Since signing up in May of 2015, and dropping my price by over 6,000; not one single offer came in. I thought I would do some checking on other offers for my same timeshare on their site (which I should have done first - my mistake). I discovered that there were loads of offers for the same timeshare as mine (same point values or better) for 10-15K less than what I was offering.
I wrote to them about canceling my offer and getting some type of refund and I basically got a response that says they are not legally liable as an advertising company. Well, that would about sums up my experience. Even if I get some refund; 4 months of advertising to throw up an ad and advertise @ 1795.00 is not worth it - not even close. I've written to them again and ask if they are willing to work with me; maybe even a partial refund; awaiting a response on this.

USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY!!! I paid them $650 last year to sell my timeshare and I never even got one offer. I was promised a refund if they failed to sell it within the year. Now that I called to request my refund, they pulled the "Do you have it in writing?" crap! They said that even if they promised a refund that those verbal promises are never included in the Agreement Contract and they refused to tell me where besides a verbal promise I can find my refund information. This company does not have any integrity and they will not refund your money even if they tell you they will! Use extreme caution or better yet don't do business with this company.

I inquired with sellmytimesharenow.com about selling my timeshare at Outer Banks Beach Club II in March of 2014. I was told there would no problem selling my unit so I agreed with what the agent told me and paid the $599 and listed my unit less than other similar units they had listed on their site... I believe I listed my unit for $1599 in March 2014.
Over the last year, every couple of months I would e-mail SMTSN and lower the listed price. I have lowered the unit now down to $599 which is the same amount I paid for the ad on sellmytimesharenow.com. My unit is listed for $1350 less than another unit at OBBC II for same week and size and still no inquiries. I'm very disappointed in the service from sellmytimesharenow.com and I do not feel I have received the service I paid for. In the last 15 months I have not once received the first call with an offer for my unit... I would not recommend sellmytimesharenow.com to anyone. My wife and I found out about SMTN online and did some research on them, and other companies, to try to help us sell our timeshare property. I decided to give them a call and find out how they could help us and what the cost would be. In talking to the rep, I was skeptical at first, I decided to give them a try. The rep was friendly and explained everything in great detail to both of us. We had tried to sell the timeshare ourselves for months, but had no luck. We started with SMTN back in late October. They did everything, from making the ad on their website, to setting us up with the TimeShare Closing Service.
SMTN sold our property in a little over two months at a price that WE set ourselves. The TCS took over at that point and handled ALL the paperwork. They even kept after the time share company to make sure they were moving along swiftly. All we had to do is sign the papers and send them to the company. The one-time fee paid for everything upfront, without ANY hidden or additional fees. I highly recommend their services to anyone trying to sell their timeshare property.

Our listings were for two timeshares at the Marriott Aruba Ocean Club, a highly desirable property. The listings lasted over two years. It was nice that the listings were for both sale and rental. The first year, both were rented and the experience was positive. The second year one of the units sold, but we did not get a rental for the other: bummer. Later in the second year, the second unit sold. The initial listing price is steep, but I consider it to have been good value. I changed my ads several times (e. g., asking prices) and this was done at no extra cost.
I was frustrated in the way the ads read. They constantly named a specific week (e.g., week 14), which is fine for a rental, but inappropriate for sale of a floating week unit because it made it look like a fixed week unit, narrowing the appeal. I was contacted by a number of other companies offering similar services. I found none that made me consider that I erred in listing with Sell My Timeshare Now. Original Review: April 8, 2015
When I listed my Wyndham timeshare for sale, I expressed concern since I had previously transferred a large number of points to RCI. I was EXPLICITLY told that all points that I had transferred to RCI were separate, and that they would remain with me. I asked for that to be communicated via email & it was. I still have it. This did not happen.
My sale and transfer was completed maybe two weeks ago, and I'm now unable to access most all functionality within Wyndham's website, including the link over to the transferred RCI points. I called Wyndham to ask how I would access these points & they transferred me to RCI. RCI customer support told me that the only way of accessing those transferred points was via the link from Wyndham's site. Once Wyndham closes my account, they are gone....
Here is exactly how it was phrased via that initial email: "RCI and current Wyndham points, you’ll retain. The buyer will begin their ownership in 2015. Any points you have paid for and have banked with RCI will remain yours, even after the sale. The RCI membership is separate from you Wyndham ownership." I was flat out lied to, and I still have the email. I spoke with customer support at Timeshare Closing Services, sent the email to them, and all they offered was "we weren't told" and are recommending I take the issue up with Wyndham. Potential customers: STAY AWAY. It apparently doesn't even matter if you have a paper trail.

This company like all the others wanted way too much money upfront for generic services, I received NOTHING by way of receipt for payment, ad was totally wrong and customer service was non existent, getting a refund of monies paid to them WILL NOT HAPPEN SO BE FOREWARNED, they will not refund for any reason whatsoever. All of these companies are the same. Once they have your money you're screwed out of your money. Why would I say I have a 2 bedroom lockout timeshare and it's only me. Total deception within the ad, I am very dissatisfied with this company and will NEVER EVER deal with ANY TIMESHARE COMPANY AGAIN.
I am stuck with this deal until it's over, you have 10 days to cancel with this company once you agree, the terms are not given to you upfront, remember that, otherwise you lose your money. I was never told this and just found out 3 months later after disputing the charges only to find I had been misled by never getting FULL DISCLOSURE, they don't mail your receipt or contract for you to read but claim they email it and if it ends up in the junk mail too bad for you. They are very slick like snot on a doorknob and as I said I was NEVER INFORMED OF THE 10 DAY right to CANCEL and get a refund, the reps need to disclose this right away to the prospective client before anything else is said but it does not happen. This company would do well if it informed people of their rights right upfront but since they are driven by greed this does not happen.

What a joke! I have been dealing with these people since October 2014! It's now end of March and still haven't processed the sale. They found a buyer for less than originally quoted and I accepted just to get it closed as I was in the hospital and knew I would have lots of hospital bills. Then it all seemed to stall? Email after email says we are waiting on Disney for right of refusal and the process takes 90-120 days. As you can see it's well over that. Then I started emailing almost daily to see if there was any progress. 90 days later they said they received right of refusal. So Im thinking finally! Oh but no, now it's something called an Estopple they are waiting for?! Really! A. it is not sell my timeshare NOW B. I feel stupid for falling for what after reading everything on this website is a scam! Should have just used Disney directly! Pissed off!

SellMyTimeShareNow is a total ripoff!!! I did not want to pay them in advance, but I was assured that our timeshare would sell and sell quickly. Well, it didn't sell, not even when we cut the price in half. I told them that we were defrauded. I filed a claim with my credit card company and it was rejected. SellMyTimeShareNow DOES NOT try and help you at all. Now we are out money that we will never recover and worse yet, we are going to lose our timeshare because we can't afford to pay the outrageous maintenance fees since I have been out of work for over two years. It is my fault for not investigating them further. DON'T EVER USE SellMyTimeShareNow. They could care less about you.

After using my Smoky Mountain Timeshare for 6-7 years, wonderful years my wife and I to sell it. After doing a lot of research I realized that there were a lot of timeshares on the market for sale and a lot of different companies asking me to pay them, sometimes $1,000 or more, to sell my timeshare with inflated promises that couldn't be fulfilled. After a few years of talking with many different companies and a lot or research I decided that a company called "SellMyTimeshareNow" would be best way to advertise it for sale. The cost was reasonable and the ad website was good. The staff of “SellMyTimeshareNow” did a great job.I received a number of offers over the past few years and eventually one that was right for me and a buyer. One of the best features from “SellMyTimeShareNow” was the ease that I could communicate with them and make adjustments to my ad. If I had another timeshare to sell I would use them again.

I listed my timeshare with this company for sale after a number of discussions with the Sales rep. I was wary of the promises made as these did not exactly match the details on the company web site. Two specific promises were made: 1, that the fee covered all subsequent years if the timeshare did not sell. 2, that a full refund would be given if I sold the timeshare "by any other means for an amount higher than listed". The companies terms do not reflect this but the Sales rep ( ** ) told me that the company would honor this agreement. I sold my timeshare privately. I have been attempting to obtain a refund for 4 months now and still have not received one. I have been fobbed off and delayed and finally told I'm not eligible. If others have had this experience please post your details.
Steve, we apologize for any confusion surrounding our refund policies as well as for any delay in the refund process. While the original documents we received from you regarding the sale of your timeshare were not legible, we appreciate your patience and persistence in resending us a copy of these documents that we were able to review fully. Why do people sell their timeshare? Typically because they can NO LONGER AFFORD them, so time is very critical. Feeling desperate to sell my timeshare and after numerous phone calls and follow up emails from **, I thought that this would be the way to do it! However, months later, I am feeling as if I was caught in a trap, a scam. A scam that cost me over $1,000 now. Once the charge was made, I have not had a single call from them. I have lowered the sale price twice and nothing.
I spoke with Westgate representative and they told me that "You should NEVER pay upfront to sale your timeshare, it's illegal"!!! Well, too late for that. Guess they got my money, and I am still stuck. :( All I keep remembering was the sales pitch, "Westgate is a high demand property, your timeshare could have already been sold, etc." Months later, WHY hasn't it sold??? And WHY have I not had any calls to follow-up???

Signed up for the program in September 2014 after being leery about Timeshare Resellers but was convinced Sell My Timeshare would be different. The sales agent provided the normal hype about owning timeshares in the #1 area of the country and that the selling season was "hot", instead the experience so far has been the selling season is "not." Since listing the timeshare I have received no calls, emails - nothing. If it wasn't for my continual following up, the yearly contract would come and go without any activity. I went along with the listing price as discussed with the agent and so I was led to believe the asking price was reasonable. At first we listed the property with 4,550 points whereas we learned the points being offered was in fact 6,050 and the sale price was adjusted accordingly. Very disappointed with this company.

Sept. 2013, I spent $1600.00 listing one timeshare in Myrtle Beach with SellMyTimeshareNow. I was told that I was listing at a good price, and they even put "motivated seller" on the ad. I called back after one year of no hits, and was told I had a hit the first month but I could not be reached. That is a bold face LIE. I have the same cell phone number I have had since 1995, and I did NOT receive a call from anyone trying to buy my timeshare.
I have now dropped the price again, and STILL have had no phone calls. Aren't I eligible for a refund of some kind? I have MS and am not able to travel, and this timeshare is a burden. I do not want it. I need to sell it and I am disappointed and dissatisfied that I was led to believe this would be a reputable service to use. I agree that the phone representatives are very polite; however, that is not getting my timeshare sold, and not making my $1600.00 spent to have it sold worthwhile.

I signed up with Sell My Timeshare Now over a year ago. When I initially filled out information on their website, I received calls for about 6 months from them, several times a week, telling me the benefits of listing with them and giving me false information about their ability to move my "extremely desirable" (their words) unit that should have "no problem selling." Being that I did want to get rid of the timeshare and was unsure how, I eventually listed my timeshare with them - at the amount they suggested - for $2000.
I have not had one single inquiry on my property in the ensuing 13 months, nor a single phone call from SMTN people, when before I agreed to list with them, I couldn't get them to stop calling and was assured of their continued customer service and support upon listing with them. I have called to find out why no inquiries on my listing and they are extremely rude, telling me that I have it listed too high!!! Have since dropped the listing price to the next LOWER amount THEY recommended, and still nothing.
I WOULD NOT WISH THIS COMPANY ON AN ENEMY. I am interested in a taking part in a lawsuit against them due to their misleading and false statements about their services and ability to actually Sell a timeshare.

I was contacted by a customer care manager within 2 days of my complaint, and they resolved my issue in a very timely and professional manner. The manager I spoke with explained that they may have been running the promotion of the money back guarantee during the time when I agreed to use their business to list my timeshare property, but the paperwork may have been missed (by either party) at some point.
Regardless, he honored that original deal and sent me paperwork to confirm our agreement. I now have the ability to cancel service with this company at any point after the one-year mark. This makes me feel much better knowing that if my property never sells, I can remove the listing and receive a full refund. In the meantime, I will be sure to stay in contact with their customer care department to make sure my listing is as strong as it can be.

We listed our timeshare with this company in March 2014. The sales representative on the phone was pushy but assured me that the upfront cost of $1,000 was necessary to handle closing costs, etc. if/when they found a potential buyer. He closed the deal by explaining that if it didn't sell after one year, I would get my $1,000 back. I felt reassured knowing that I wouldn't be throwing away my money.
Almost one year later, after having lowered the price by over 50% from his recommended starting point, we have received zero inquiries. I contacted customer service to double check on the one year policy, and was told that they have no money back guarantee. I now understand why the salesperson (**) was so pushy. An unsold property is just as good as a sold property to them. Actually it is better because they don't have to pay for any of those closing costs.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out and register your concerns. Although we are highly confident in the success of our services, we cannot guarantee a timeframe in which a property will sell. There are many factors which contribute to a successful sale including your asking price and demand for your ownership. The posting of our timeshare by "Sell Your Timeshare Now" was very professional and it resulted in at least a half dozen enquiries over the first 3 or 4 months and an acceptable offer to purchase within 6 months.
Various staff members were polite, helpful and professional throughout the selling process. However, we did not anticipate the amount of time, paperwork and expenses the process would demand of us including signed affidavits from our lawyer. Perhaps some of this may have been because the transaction was international.
It may interest you to know that the biggest problem we had was not with your company but with Interval International who put us through what we considered to be many extra hoops in trying to transfer our banked weeks to the buyers as part of the sales agreement. It happened but it took too many phone calls and letters. The only issue now left on the table is for us to complete certain papers for the IRS in order to claim some taxes related to the sale. "Sell Your Timeshare Now" treated us well and helped us to successfully sell our timeshare. Thank You!

I then informed them that I would be contacting the Attorney General in both states that they have offices in. They said "The Attorney General Loves Us, and they recommend people to us." I found that very hard to believe. I hope that my comments will stop anyone else from using this company.

I find it disgusting that companies exist to prey on people who have already, in most cases, been victims of misrepresentations!!! And this takes a lot for me to say since I worked for the largest timeshare company for many years in sales. I know these tactics as I watched thousands of sales reps come and go use them. Like most of you, I submitted the online form since there is no pricing online. Oh wait, that's because there is none right? Ha ha I knew better! That was on a Friday around noon. By Monday morning, not even business hours, I had 12 voicemails from the initial sales rep and then his supervisor, each one progressively more aggressive. And also had the emails questioning my commitment.
I may say I was shocked, having been a sales rep. How in the hell this man thought he could ever get my business acting like that! I appreciate persistence and I get busy but this was purely obnoxious and unethical business standards. Luckily, unlike most of the people on here, I was calling to price shop as I own a small (by their standards) full service management company for points owners. I HAD ALSO INQUIRED ON A FEW LISTINGS (always looking to take over points as I wholesale them to businesses in case you ever wondered how these are available on large hotel sites and vacation clubs) AND got A CALL FROM A BROKER???? Confused FSBO???
I don't need a broker. I've done thousands of closings so why? Because they get ANOTHER fee on the back end by having a cpl on staff so they can collect another fee. And in response to eBay, can I say no, no, no! They actually blocked me from getting info through eBay street. I cornered them on technicalities of sale. Many say free, up-to-date fees, etc. Fees are never right. Closing shouldn't be more than $200 ever and resort transfer $100 and never ever ever pay any maint. fees for year in which it is purchased! !!!!! Only exception is a prorated R A team or take over once you can book if they have points left or them as it on points they have left. No points is billed annually anymore (unless rare fixed week conversions). This is their way to make more money and charge another fee. Most companies who sell these require owners pay 2 years of maint. prior to listing so the owners do not see a dime! !!!!! HERE IS THE HONEST Truth FOR THOSE OF YOU OUT THERE IN A DESPERATE SITUATION:
Never, never, never, never pay up front to all your property other than a membership fee (red week 29, tuts, 5 stars - mine 5/month etc). A real estate broker who doesn't specialize in timeshare is going to be less knowledgeable than an industry veteran. If you're looking to rent your ownership, never ever give more than 20 percent or a guaranteed rate and rental guarantee (we do this). This will distinguish the real players in the industry (we are confident). Always look for a full service company to maximize it all your vacations too. You never need to try to find inventory again if you have a good one (that's right first pick every time). Those looking to resell, the brutal reality sucks!!! Depending on how points are set up the avg resale is .008/1000/100/10 points. And that is average. This will be less if your resort has assessments, or more than 5/1000/100/10 with taxes. Only way to get more is with a VIP transfer! Yes it can be done. Contact a real industry professional (Test if they can't answer the ins and outs to your benefits run!!!). This info isn't really available anywhere due to these corporate giants. Mine is in a password protected forum.
The ONLY TIME you should ever spend any substantial amount to get out of your timeshare is in cases of misrepresentation upon purchase(s). In this case, you will spend money and if you're upside-down, it's a percentage owed. These companies do exist (I know a great one blew my mind) and are specialized legal and credit services. The good news is a good one wins 99% and gets the owner out of contact free and clear with a refund on anything paid to the contract. Biggest piece of advice - be careful! I am an owner too so I get it. Make sure you check ALL claims for validity and ALWAYS ask for it in writing and highlighted. Hope this helps. I would steer clear of the big names (donate for a cause too!!!!). We stay small because we actually care and have a code of ethics. Dig deeper on searches!

My story is similar to those already posted. I have never heard from these people since they took my money; it's going on a year and a half. I was told that if I listed at half the market rate, I would sell immediately. I did as I was told and am still waiting for my first call from the company. Totally bogus!

I was asked to update this that I have been contacted by the company to resolve this and was offered a refund which I got and they have run this another year ending this Dec 2015. I still have not sold my Timeshare and have dropped the price 4-5 times to half of what I bought it for. Unless you plan on losing lots of money I suggest you not buy one and certainly am not convinced yet that this company can assist me in selling this. Time will tell. I have been contacted by them now up to 4-5 times and the last time was 6 months ago and was admonished that the last time we spoke I was the one to contact them.

My husband and I just wanted to sell our timeshare and not sure how we got SMTN...** was our salesperson and NOT ONE THING she promised has happened. Been on the market since last Dec and not one inquiry. Contacted someone three months later and told them that some of the information in the ad was wrong and they said they would change it...Maintenance Fee and Points (we went from weeks to points) we earned based on week 25 and the resort (Massanutten, VA). I wish I could find someone to purchase this nice timeshare for $16,000 with 76,500 points each year. Any valid (not a scam) suggestions? Feel really stupid.

Sell my Timeshare Now was more than willing to accept by money for listing my timeshare; however, this is all they appeared to do. They listed it, along with many others like it and that was it. Even when I lowered the price, no action whatsoever. I was able to sell the timeshare recently, but there was no mention of providing a refund of any type. This was a very expensive listing. The company itself may be a scam. Beware future customers! This is not a company I would recommend.

I'm in the process of figuring out who to sell my timeshare with and trying to do my research prior. I'm in the web marketing business and am very familiar with SEO and how it all works. However, I'm just trying to figure out the best company to represent me and will be a turn-key operation. I don't want to have to deal with the screening, negotiations, closing or transfer.
The problem I have with this company is there's a set price that is paid at the beginning and no guarantee it's going to sell. There is no carrot for the company to find you a buyer - they have their money - on to the next sucker. If the company is so confident it's going to sell the property, then they should give you a refund for the amount if it doesn't sell in a year. They also should have a limit as to how many timeshares from each location they will sell. And if you really wanted to suggest they are a true web-marketing company, they would be able to provide you with statistics of how many people come to the site, track how many people viewed each listing and how many offers were made on the specific listing. Also, as someone has also mentioned, the email the representatives email to state what the services they are providing directly contradicts the terms in which the website states. If you have sold your timeshare elsewhere on the internet, I would love to know where so I can get mine sold.

I contacted Sell My Timeshare Now (SMTN) on 4/6/13 about advertising 2 properties for sale. SMTN defines itself as "a For-Sale/Rent-by-Owner website timeshare advertising company". ** ** was my sales rep. **/SMTN lied and used unethical sales practices and broke the company's own Terms of Use. ** said the lowest listed ad on SMTN site by other sellers at the same properties as mine were currently listed at $6500 (was actually $1397). ** suggested to list my properties at $8000. ** said my properties would "sell quick" and that "Bluebeard's has a lot of interest". I listed each property at $7995 and paid $1848 over the phone w/ Discover Card. A link for each ad of my properties and the Terms of Use were emailed to me on 4/8/13. However, Terms of Use read "We do not appraise or provide guidance regarding the value or rental price of your Timeshare. We cannot and do not make any representations as to the likelihood of success of the ad, the period of time it will take to sell or rent your Timeshare".
I called ** on 4/12/13, 6:40pm to request refund due to misrepresentation. Left a message to call me but did not disclose reason. Call not returned. Called again on 4/13/13, 10:30am. ** answered and I informed him of my refund request. ** said he just woke up and will call me back in 45 minutes. Call not returned. I called back later (5:09pm) and the phone said unavailable and could not leave a message! Even if I was still interested in the services, I wouldn't be able to update anything because the company does not return calls. Another misrepresentation. I disputed the charges w/ Discover on 5/10/13 since I was not getting calls back (case #**). Company fought my dispute w/ Discover and I had to file for an appeal dispute w/ Discover on 6/13/13. 7/27/13, ** from SMTN called to "resolve" my issue. He told me they could change how the ad is listed but not refund any money. I expressed my misrepresentation claims and he said he would have a manager call me the next day or two. No call returned.
Coincidentally, on 7/29/13 I received an email saying: "New Timeshare Offer Or Inquiry. Dear ** **, Congratulations! Your advertisement on www.SellMyTimeshareNOW.com has generated an inquiry. One of our agents will be in touch with the interested party to verify the legitimacy of the inquiry on your behalf and help you in any way you deem necessary moving forward once a formal offer has been confirmed and submitted. If there is anything we can do to help facilitate the process, don't hesitate to email our Client Care Department at customercare@sellmytimesharenow.com or call us at: US: (877) 815-4227. Outside US: (603) 516-0200 SellMyTimeshareNOW, LLC does not screen or endorse inquiries placed on your advertisement. In order to protect your privacy, we do not provide your personal information to any inquiring party, as stated in our Privacy Policy. We encourage you to use discretion when giving out any personal information."
Why would an advertising company contact an interested buyer on my behalf instead of just relaying the buyer's information to me? Their Terms of Use state: "We do not screen or qualify potential buyers or renters who respond to ads." Also, my welcome email stated, "Prospective buyers who are interested in either making an offer or requesting further information will submit their inquiries and offers through our site. Any such inquiries or offers will then be presented to you (usually via email, unless you have specified otherwise). Please be sure to respond to all offers or inquiries made on your timeshare within 24-48 hours".
No further info came about the "inquiry". This indicated to me a possible FRAUDULENT claim by the company.

Was sucked in because their ad appeared while I was on my resort site, so I foolishly assumed the resort used this company. I noticed that all ads and pictures were formula and assumed they were generated by the resort. All was fine until the salesman had finished his no fees pitch and then asked for $1000+. Foolishly I agreed. I now realize I have just blown that $. The price settled on was, I knew, too high. I called to lower it and the rep agreed, but has not done so & no "owner motivated" appeared as discussed. I reckon this is the perfect job for a quadriplegic blind sales rep. All they need to do is reel in your $ and forget about everything else. I'm sure the ads are indeed generated by the resort. I feel very stupid, but I am in good company. Maybe we need a class action suit to all get our $ back!

So, I was curious, but cautious and reached out to these folks for information. I specifically asked for their terms and conditions in advance in writing. Are there fees associated? How do they work? Do they take a cut of the sale? Is there a flat up front, etc.? Please send me a TOS or contract by email so that I can review it. The purpose of this is obvious: save my time, save their time, right? And, oh yeah, that transparency thing. I specifically requested it by email and intentionally did NOT provide my cell phone number. I figured it the TOS were agreeable, I could call, right? Wrongo.
I received an immediate email from one of their apparently commissioned "real estate salespersons" as follows: "Please provide a valid number if you are still looking to sell your timeshare ownership. Thanks.” So, I respond again, requesting information by email, which for me (the prospect and customer!) is the preferred means of communication. I reiterated that if the terms were attractive, I would call her at the number provided.
The response was totally hostile and unexpected: "Did you purposely provide us with an invalid number? If you are not serious about wanting to sell your timeshare, I’m going to invest my time in helping people who are wanting to sell." ???? I WANTED to sell. I did sell shortly thereafter. But the refusal to provide any information outside of the context of a high-pressure sales pitch where confusing and misleading information can be doled out - has all the markings of a scam. Lousy, unprofessional, consumer unfriendly scamsters. Beware. If it smells like a bad apple, it is a bad apple folks.

I contacted Sell My Timeshare Now listing my 2 weeks. I agreed to pay their fee of over $3100 for their advertising, sales and all closing costs to be covered. At no time was I told of any policy or contract not allowing a refund or partial refund if I sold my own weeks. I was fortunate enough to be able to do this and sought a refund. I was told that my cost was for creating the ad only and that all other fees associated were simply add on benefits. I believe this to be silly and would caution anyone contemplating using this organization to think twice before spending the money. By the way, my ad was posted same day that I spoke with the very helpful Sales rep and I sold both myself within 3 weeks of posting the ad quite unrelated to the ad itself...... Again, buyer beware!

Rate MY Timeshare Now is a scam. Do NOT do business with them. They do nothing more than post your timeshare on your website and promise that your timeshare will sell for two times more than comparable timeshares listed on their site. We were led to believe that they actively tried to sell your property for you. Really bummed we fell for their scam. Lost $2k in the process trying to unload three timeshares.

I fell for the scam. I had 3 vacation ownerships to sell and they baited me by telling me they were worth a lot more than the offers that came in. Interestingly, the ONLY offers that came in were from their sister company. They refused to let me see an offer and refused to let me talk with the buyer. The long and the short of it is they took $3,000 from me ($1k each property) and then lowballed me on ALL offers, justifying it saying that properties in my resort sold for lesser amounts, even though when I signed up with them they told me much higher values!

I just received an email from company, yet again. I emailed their rep back and asked him again to stop emailing me. His response was this, "It's really simple. If you read the very first sentence on email you just replied to, it asks if you want to unsubscribe to click on the link. All ads are the same cookie cutter format, no matter the resort, the price, or perks. They don't do any marketing other than posting a generic ad on their website. Once they have your money, there is no more communication. They claim they will make changes to your ad within a few hours. This becomes days or not at all. They don't know the product they are selling for you and can't answer questions in the event a potential buyer inquires. Their description of the resorts is inaccurate, but they do not honor your requests for change. They are unaware of selling opportunities (e.g. Travel shows) and travel site rankings. I am trying to discontinue my ad for reimbursement.

In an attempt to find a discount Disney Vacation Club Villa rental for my family of 7, I searched all over and came up with some "great" rental deals for DVC points on Sell My Timeshare. In November, I inquired on several available rental "Villas" and made some rental offers as well; I believe it was a total of seven properties in all. The ad says 2-3 days response time. I heard nothing for over a month. I again inquired on several of the same properties and heard nothing again. After over a week, I emailed all of the customer service address, as well as all other listed email addresses regarding poor customer service and questioned whether this was a real rental/sales site or simply a fraud. I still heard nothing.
I eventually called the customer service number and was told I had to talk a gentleman in Florida who handled all Disney rentals. I was transferred to a voicemail and left a message. Alas, no return call ever came. I waited another week or so and called another listed number. I spoke with a nice "appalled" lady, who concerningly took my info as well as rental listings to get right back to me to rectify this problem. That was 2 weeks ago. Now, not any of my multiple emails, calls, and complaints were ever returned. I will have to assume this website, SellMyTimeshareNow, is a fraud! Beware!
