I called the number listed for the hotel not realizing it was an external company. I quoted the online price and asked for an AARP discount. I was told all discounted rooms were gone but he would give me one anyway. I was given the total and it seemed high. I asked the rate and he quoted what the online price was. If that was true then I was charged 50% in charges/taxes. I asked at the front desk when checking in and was told they did not know what I was charged as it was not them I talked to. No refund, no price adjustment to what I was told the rate was. Which was higher than the online price and price at the front desk. A scam. I will be reporting them.

When I talked to the agent on the phone, he advised me that I could not book it online that I needed to go through him. All this was untrue. He stated that if I booked it online, I would not be guaranteed the room directly from the hotels website. He stated that they do not offer a military discount which they do of 15% but he would not give it to me cause he states that the room is already at its lowest price and they could not give a military discount on top of it, which was also untrue. He would not give me any options to talk to a manager. I felt he was very unprofessional. I will never use this service again.

When I checked in, I was overcharged for a king suite. Bot said that was all that was available and hotel said that actually 14 doubles were available at the time of my reservation. I was told by bot that I would be able to apply my room comp coupon at time of check in…, I was not able. Overcharged and lied to!

They impersonate the hotel and in my case told me my reservation was cancellable and fully refundable till 5 days before the reservation. I had to call and cancel, and was told I have to pay a cancelation fee. ALWAYS BOOK YOUR HOTEL DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL USING THE AREA CODE FOR THE CITY IT'S IN, AND NOT A TOLL FREE #

I was definitely not speaking with a live person. Absolutely felt like it was an AI generated communication. I found the communication robotic, and unfriendly. The “Robot Agent named Jolene” was unable to verbally repeat what they just spelled out for me. It was frustrating because I had to phonetically spell out my email, at least 5 times. And each time the Robot would repeat the information incorrectly. I eventually gave up correcting it. And agreed at which time “Jolene” transferred me to another AI agent. Who was zero help. At this point my reservation ended up in my email.

The person that assisted me was lovely but she booked me into a sub-par hotel. I'm very upset because I can't get my money back and books another 2 rooms. Once I found out the name of the place I looked at its reviews and they were deplorable. It's criticized for being dirty and having roaches! I'm 74 years old and I need better accommodations. Please help if there's any way you can.

I had called Rancho Bernardo Inn for a previous reservation for an upcoming wedding. Thinking I was calling them again for another I got Reservations.com. I said I want to reserve another room for the wedding and they acted like they were the hotel but the one night was not special rate so it was $541 vs $299. Well OK, paid for the room. I call back to talk to the front desk and was informed Reservations.com is third party service. I then did reviews and found out they scam a lot of people. Do not use them. They are wolfs in sheep's clothing. Called back today to cancel the room, over 2 months ahead of time and they will refund me $161 out $541. Always verify it is the hotel desk - Reservations.com will steal your money and they're not even ashamed about it.

I worked with David ** who was absolutely fantastic re a reservation we needed to make for our 18 yr old teen after a dance competition. He found us a place at another hotel than the one we’d called about, researched different spots that were the best rate and ideal distance. He was exceptional.

Representatives were polite and process was hassle-free. However, I assisted other family members with their booking back to back and we were all charged different prices for the same room. I was not even informed about no refundable or cancellation fee but my aunt was. She was even offered the option to purchase cancellation fee protection.

The agent didn’t tell us of a service fee they charged. Also he claimed the price included the pet charge, false. When we got to the hotel, the pet charge wasn’t included and had to be paid again. Overall it cost us $198 + $18 = $216.00 as compared to $130 if we walked into the hotel. Beside the $75 for the dog. They claim it was the last room, false, to get us to purchase quickly. The hotel had plenty of rooms. Giving a 1 star is generous. Also claimed we were talking to the hotel.

Very disappointed in this hotel, I was given a price of $142.01. 5 minutes later my daughter calls and her rate is $132.00, I call asking why, was told rates change every minute. I call BS and women hangs up on me, I call back ask for manager, was told no manager or supervisor available!! Really? So I tell the gentlemen why I'm calling her. Gives me the same spiel. Half hour later I make reservations for another daughter $132.00!!!

I booked a two-night reservation through this site and when I tried to check in, there was no electricity at the resort, so I couldn’t check in per resort. I have called Reservation.com three times to confirm the cancellation but I haven’t received an email to confirm cancellation three days later yet. I had to call my credit card company to report it. By the way, I was told my total cost including taxes and fees would be $270.79 but I was charged $513.16 instead. I will not do business with them again.

We called the number thinking we were calling the Motel direct. We got the agent and we told her what Motel we wanting to book. We repeated the name of the Motel and Gave her the address multiple times. She assured us we were booking the one we requested. It turned out it was not the one we requested and it had a terrible rating. Not to mention when she told us about the extra charge for it to be refundable she never let us answer before she booked it. We ended up having to find another Motel suitable to stay in.

Outrageous. I was on the phone for 40 minutes with one rep and then cut off when their system would not register my credit card number despite seven tries. Then, upon calling back and getting another rep I learned that my first booking date was incorrect and incomplete. We tried again and, again, the credit card could not be accepted. I then just went to the hotel itself and made reservations at 350 dollars less. I had mistakenly thought that Reservations.com was the website for the hotel, but then after a total hour’s frustration, I saw the small print which revealed it was Reservations.com. Never again will I use this ‘service?’. It’s as close to a scam as I have seen in a long time.

The gentleman on the phone was very polite. The A/C Hotel in Bentonville, AK website advertised that a room was $147, however, when I called to make a reservation the room was $329! When I questioned the difference in price, I was told that the website wasn’t updated and all the $147 rooms were booked. I am extremely disappointed.

NEVER AGAIN!!! I was told this was the reservations agent specifically for this hotel! That was not the case. When I got to the hotel they couldn’t even find my reservation! I found out the next morning upon check-out that it was a third party company. I also paid $143 and could have gotten the room for $84. Nope, never again!! Kenneth you are a liar!!!

We tried to book a reservation for Moody Gardens online. The site implies that you are booking directly through the hotel. IT DOES NOT STATE THAT IT IS RESERVATIONS OR ANYBODY.COM. We tried to go back to the site to get the confirmaton reservation and received error message. See photo below. Waited 10-15 minutes and did not receive an email confirmation. We became concerned and called the purported direct line to the hotel (**) twice and got a different AI for each call that sounded human. You are directed to select 1 for new reservations and 2 for existing reservations. We selected 2. The recording informed us that the call is only for new reservations, repeats and then hangs up. We asked the second "human" named James to not hang up on us. He assured us he would not.
As soon as we asked for assistance with the reservation we made, "he" hung up. We called another number, where we got the number, I don't recall where and received 800-497-2175. We received "Jolene". Jolene is even more sophisticated than the first two and has a Southern accent and sounds down-to-Earth. We asked Jolene not to hang up on us either. She assured us she would not with "um right here with you. Um not goin' anywhere". Jolene could not do anything with our existing reservation and suggested she could give us a great deal if we wanted to reserve through us. I explained that I did not want to make another reservation and end up with 2 or 3 more reservations that I can't cancel because we are inside the 72-hour cancellation window. Let us know she could not access a reservation done online.
"Jolene" gave us a strange reading of the number to call starting with telling us she would give us the number "in blocks" and read it "123 repeat 123, 456 repeat 456, 7890 repeat 7890" two times then said the number normally "123-456-7890" two times and asked if we needed it read again. I said no, still thinking I was talking to a human (why????), and repeated the above again.
We ended up calling Jolene two more times and finally got a relevant number to the hotel we wanted to book. Maybe? Any rate, this human or AI, explained that it might take a few minutes to get the confirmation email. During the call, which was easily 20-25 minutes after the initial call about our reservation, the email finally showed up. We told her we received it and she understood our concern but assured us that the emailed confirmation would arrive soon. (SIGH) THIS WAS HORRIBLY DISTRESSING BEING HUNG UP ON REPEATEDLY and wondering how to block what was looking like a scam reservation.

I used this service to book a room at a hotel because I was told the hotel I wanted was full. After booking the room I called the original hotel I wanted to stay and they said they had rooms available. I immediately called this service back to explain the hotel I wanted did have a room. I was told by employee Allen that the only way I could cancel the reservation was to book the new reservation through them. I booked and was told the supervisor that had to approve cancellation/credit was out of the office and would send me an email cancellation confirmation when she returned. this did not happen.
I called back, an employee named Carrie said she would get with the supervisor and personally call me Monday at 9:30 am to confirm credit. That did not happen either. I spent almost 2 hours on hold on 2 occasions to reach service dept. When I finally got through I was told another department would have to help. I received 2 emails declining the credit. This service wants the name of the person at the hotel that approved the cancellation. I've explained in both emails that their service told me it was canceled not a hotel employee. I recommend you avoid using this service, it appears lying and stealing is an acceptable practice.

I was under the impression I was speaking to a Hilton rep. I was told there was only 1 room with 2 small beds left after I was already told I would get a king bed room with breakfast for $219. While I was on the phone giving my credit card suddenly that room was gone, I got no break as a Hilton Honors member or as a veteran or with my wife being a AAA member. When all was said and done I ended having to pay $290 because it was “the last room” on check in. I was told they had nothing reserved for me because I used a 3rd party. I explained that the person mis-represented himself as a Hilton reservation specialist. They finally found me a room then said breakfast was extra and no King Bed. Obviously I got lied to, ended up paying a lot more for the wrong room. At least the manager took breakfast off my bill after spending a half hour at the front counter even though I had a reservation number. Frustrating expensive experience.

I booked with Alan ** and asked twice about a pet fee. He told me twice, very clearly, that there was no fee for pets. (He was on speaker and my husband heard him as well.) When I got to the hotel, they asked for my credit card to charge a $25 pet fee. I told them what Alan had told me and nicely, they waived the fee. I will never use reservations.com again!

Beware. They overcharge extremely more than what the hotel cost is. Got to hotel and there was as much as $200 more for this than what the hotel charges. All of this is completely blindsiding. Always check your cc charge.

UNETHICAL!!! These people purported themselves to be Marriott when I called them unintentionally to book a hotel stay. I repeatedly asked why they were asking for my personal info after I had given them my Bonvoy number and they just misled me with responses like “we just need to verify it.” I should have caught on but it was urgent to book though visit is 4 months away. On top of that, they charged $680 for 2 rooms with no cancellation after booking. Or pay $66 to be able to cancel for an emergency. This is unethical practice to not state who they are when I clearly made it clear that I was booking with Marriott. I told the agent again that he shouldn’t be asking for my credit card when he has all of my information in my Bonvoy account, which I provided at the beginning.

I called to make a reservation for November. The rep I worked with, Jesus **, confirmed my request and helped set up my booking reservation in less than 6 minutes! I did not have my credit card on hand but he was able to send a text to confirm and pay with my Google pay. He explained details, reconfirmed the reservation and waited to make sure I received my confirmation text. He also let me know to expect an email with all of the details I'd need. He was incredibly efficient while also being very courteous and patient.

When I made my reservation I inquired about the pool and hot tub and was advised they had both. Upon arrival found out no hot tub! Went to the room where the phone didn’t work, wi fi didn’t work and the volume control on the tv was at about 99 and couldn’t be adjusted. Paid $200.00 and the hotel didn’t even have a vending machine! Terrible!

I had an excellent experience booking my hotel stay thanks to Oscar, and I feel he truly deserves recognition for his outstanding customer service. From the very beginning of the phone call, Oscar was extremely polite and professional, which immediately made me feel comfortable and confident in the booking process. He took the time to listen carefully to what I needed and answered all of my questions clearly and patiently, without ever making me feel rushed.
Oscar explained the available room options, pricing, and policies in a straightforward and easy-to-understand way, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Accidentally called Reservations.com, thinking I was calling the hotel directly. The representative was nice enough, but did not listen, well. I specifically requested a King Suite for two nights near the pool. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times. She kind of fumbled thru the call and finalized the reservation. The call did not sit well with me. I called the hotel directly. They verified the reservation was for a standard room with 2 queen beds. I had a gut feeling it would be wrong. Called back and cancelled the reservation within 45 minutes, and it has to go to an escalation team to review to see if a full refund!

My experience was horrible, they confirmed me to the wrong hotel. However when I called to cancel the attendant was nice and put in my request. I have yet to see my full refund. What is so irritating is that I asked and clarified with the attendant if this was the reservation to Hilton Tucson. He giggled and agreed, instead it was to Best Western. I found this very offensive and misleading, and now I have to wait several days for my refund. This should not be allowed, there should be a hour open to review email confirmation and call to freely to cancel without all this nonsense.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life!!!! We have had to change rooms 3 times!!! The first room was in total disarray! Bed was not made, furniture was turned upside down and scattered all over the room. The second room STUNK!!!!! Dirty!!! Moved to third room. No TV remote and when they brought one it had no back on it to even cover up the batteries!!!! Then when I tried to dry my hair the blow dryer could not even be plugged in because the prongs were broken off!!!!!! I am scared to even sleep in the bed for fear of bed bugs!!!!! This is totally unacceptable!!!!!

The woman was very hard to understand. She kept interrupting me. It was hard to get the reservation completed. I had to constantly repeat myself. She would start talking before I was done giving her the information she needed. I had to tell her to just stop and let me give her the information.

Was lied to.. Called to make reservation. Was told the credit card being used was to hold the room and would not be charged. I was told I could make payment at checkout. When I arrived at the hotel and asked about payment I was told my card had already been charged and the room was paid through a booking agency and not through the hotel. I never authorized any payment to be made to my credit card.

I made a reservation for Great Wolf Lodge in the Wisconsin Dells online at the last second. They told me there were only a couple of rooms left and their price was the lowest. I stayed there and decided to stay a second night. When I went to the front desk, I was quoted a price about 1/3 of what I paid for the first night. They told me the first night was not through the hotel but through this company. They said their rates were always the price they gave me for my second night. This company ripped me off. Their site had showed Great Wolf Lodge, but it obviously was a facade. Don't use this company.

The agent misrepresented themselves as I thought I was talking directly to the hotel because I wanted a specific room. The rate was much higher than it would have been had I gone thru Hilton.com. I was immediately charged the entire cost of the stay and only after I got the confirmation did I see that it was non refundable. The agent was very courteous but not at all ethical. Also he did not reserve the room type I wanted.

I gave two options of places I would like to stay. For a vacation still three months out. Within three minutes customer service said there was no availability and put me in a place that was a fifteen minute drive from where I wanted to stay. I was then told if I made the reservation I would be able to get a “full refund” if cancelled before a specific date. I made the reservations only once I was told this. Once I read my email the opposite was true and they had already charged me over $100 dollars (USD).

Booking a hotel on Reservations.com was a mixed experience for me. The website itself was easy to navigate, and I appreciated the instant confirmation which gave me peace of mind right after booking. The process was quick, and they offered a wide range of hotels and deals, which made the initial search convenient. However, I found that some important details, such as service fees and cancellation policies, were not very clear upfront and only appeared in fine print. When I tried to modify my booking later, I encountered some difficulties because modifications often required full cancellation and rebooking.
Customer service was responsive and friendly when I contacted them for help, which was a relief. Still, the overall experience felt somewhat frustrating due to the extra fees and limited flexibility compared to booking directly with hotels. So, while Reservations.com made booking quick and straightforward, I would advise future users to carefully read all terms before completing their reservation.

I spoke with a nice gentleman for at least 20 minutes to book two rooms for one night at a hotel in Kentucky - one with a king, one with a double. He confirmed the reservation for 2 adults in one and one adult and a child in the other and quoted a price for each room. Later I received an email confirmation (initially sent to the wrong address) for only one room. My credit card also confirmed only one charge for one room.
I called back to check the reservation and indeed only one room had been booked. I explained I needed a second room and after another lengthy discussion and delay was told they were unable to confirm my second (new) reservation - which by the way was slightly more expensive than the initial price I was given. I asked that the second reservation be canceled and was assured my card would not be billed. Fast forward an hour and I was able to make a reservation through the hotel’s website for 30 dollars cheaper!

The first representative we called misheard the card number and attempted to charge the card SEVERAL times. The second representative could not understand our words either and we spent nearly 15 entire minutes trying to get through a card number. Be better. If you plan on calling them, be patient and grab your popcorn because you will be there for at LEAST an hour.

I was deceived to believe that I was talking to a Hilton Garden Representative, Representative stated there was no cancellation so the only options I had were the Candlewood Suite or the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Tyler Texas. It was only after the reservation was made and the confirmation was received that I realized I had been deceived by the Representative. The rep also sent a text saying that a email would be sent out confirming the reservation but the email address was not correct even after I confirmed the email address.

I Googled Holiday Inn Express Fayetteville South and clicked on "call". The phone dialed a 910 area code number, that I have found doesn't exist. The man answered, "Reservations", leading me to believe he was with Holiday Inn Express. He charged me $254 for a room. When I told him it seemed excessive, he said it was because it was the last room available. When I got to the hotel, I found it it was not the last room and that I would have paid $176 for the room if I had called them. This company has misleading practices and I consider it total fraud. Consumer beware.

Booking agent lied about the features in the room. When I called back to confirm with another agent the room had what I needed and found out it absolutely did not canceled the reservation within 5 min of making it. They charged my card $160 but only refunded me $54. Worst experience.

I had a lot of questions about lodging and different room sizes, accommodations, etc....So instead of booking online I called. Tnesha assisted me and was so helpful. I ended up booking with her because I felt comfortable with the process, details and in my decision based on everything she told me. I am a Hilton honors member, but felt more comfortable booking with Tnesha. She was pleasant and polite as well.

Well right out of the bat, we have not stayed there yet but they said the room would be 483.00. And we got charged 557.00 on our card. And we haven't even arrived. So this is going to be fun? Like what?

Very disturbed with Reservations.com. They charged me 1120 for my reservation then the hotel gave me my bill upon leaving and it was 617.00. 500 dollar difference. Never use Reservations.com. Never even offered me anything. Very disturbing that there is a company that could do that.

Jesus ** helped me and my husband book a last minute stay while driving across country with our two dogs coming all the way from Alaska. He was incredibly helpful, polite, professional, and personable over the phone! I usually book hotels online but the sites I usually go to weren’t working so I decided to call. There was no wait time to talk to a representative and luckily I did call because it was the last pet friendly room available!

Had to call back to receive itinerary number, the agent “Alex” said he sent via text. I replied I didn’t receive, he said. "Check your spam." I asked if he was texting or emailing. Texting he said. I said I was unaware that text had a spam folder. He said, "Yes they do" and hung up. Apparently I was too much of an idiot to speak with. I called back. A woman answered this time. She also said she sent via text. Did not receive so I asked her to email it. She acknowledged. I said, "Let me refresh" and she hung up on me too.
