Represents them self as the Hotel I was booking with - I was in the UK and booking a hotel in the UK they charged me in USD and converted to pounds - immediately when I got the receipt I called them as in addition to charging me this was they charged me a lot more. I called Right away and asked to cancel. "Oh sorry you didn’t pay for cancellation." I said surely I am well within 24 hours as it’s been about 15 minutes since I spoke to what I now believe was AI. I could call the same number to complain I had to send an email or call an overseas call center who said they couldn’t get a supervisor and hung up on me twice - I was not rude, I continued to ask for a supervisor.
I arrived at the hotel. As it’s a Friday and I am a tourist in London the hotel said we would have allowed them to cancel no fee - however they seem to be aware of this company and their scam - I am caught in the middle and paid at least £500.00 more for 2 rooms for 2 nights - they will not reply to me and their scam hotel offers me money off on next visit and a couple of glasses of wine - all I want is my money back from Reservations.com. Someone somewhere between US/UK should shut them down ASAP

We booked a hotel reservation on the phone for one night when we were traveling through to our final destination. When we were quoted the price for the room, it was $100 more than what we saw online and I asked the AI representative to cancel and was completely ignored and I kept asking them to stop the reservation confirmation and I didn’t want to book the hotel room and was COMPLETELY ignored and ended up being charged $288 for a $179 room. I tried to call back and got another AI representative who kept repeating “hi my name is Justin, how can I help?” This is unacceptable!!! I feel scammed out of $100 and will seriously consider NOT booking another stay at a Hampton Inn. When we arrived at the hotel, we inquired about the room rate and was told it was $179, the same price we saw online. So why was I charged $100 more?!?!?

The reservation clerk is an idiot. She was not listening and constantly talked over me. She would constantly enter the wrong information, my email address, and debit card number. I hope I never have to make a reservation through her again.

I am seriously upset! We was lied to and double-charged for the room. We told them we had 3 young children, and it was a must for it to have a pool. We were told it had a nice indoor pool for sure. We were told it had breakfast, and there is no pool, no breakfast, also it only cost 63 dollars a night and they charged us almost 130 dollars. The grandkids were so disappointed about not having a pool. Also said no refund, although we started a request for a refund, it will take up to 15 days to hear back from them. I only gave 1 star because that was the lowest star I could give!

Tangela was very nice for doing my reservation. However, she confirmed with me that breakfast and parking were free and it wasn't. We have to pay $50 for parking. Please next time when you make a reservation to Comfort Inn at Sunset Blvd. tell customers that they have to pay. I can't see the fees in my receipt. Where are the money going????

I was appalled by the great customer service and prompt action that was taken to give me a last-minute request when I got stranded and missed my flight. I am grateful for being able to sleep comfortably without worrying about my safety. The ease of the process was incredible, and I appreciate the kindness of the staff (Mon) over the phone and at the concierge at the front desk. It took a minute.

I called the travel lodge today and I had John assist me with extending a room over the phone. I was a little nervous because I wasn’t sure how to do things with technology. But John was absolutely wonderful. He has great customer service! He assisted me with everything and and we were done within a few minutes. John was very courteous. A recognized the attendant’s accent and directly asked her if she is in the US. She said yes, but her next statement was totally false where she said she was not allowed to give me the hotel’s actual phone number and on top of that she charged me $100 extra to have cancellation insurance and the motel doesn’t even have cancellation insurance.!! Oh I’m wrong, she charged my US currency. The motel doesn’t even require pre-payment! So does that mean they would have charged me twice?

Thought I was calling Hotel because the number was right by the name. Said I had a dog and she booked me and said that was fine. Charged me a twenty five dollar dog fee, and then I get there and they do not accept dogs. Plus I didn't know I was coming calling a third party because she answered the phone like it was that hotel name. Anyway, I got scammed is what the lady at the hotel desk said and I would like a refund.

I WILL NEVER USE THIS SITE AGAIN BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WAS TALKING TO THE HOTEL! The booking agent gave the appearance that I was did not specify they were a 3rd party agent and charged me an additional $ 80 fee for getting on the computer and making my reservation when I could have called the hotel directly and saved myself $80. I feel like I was cheated because the booking agent answered the phone under the name of the hotel we were staying at and didn't clarify or specify that they were a 3rd party booking agent and it cost me an additional $80 on top of the cost the room and I would have booked directly had I known they were a third party agent. I would have saved myself $80 if I would have been privy to that information.

Wanted to make reservations for 6 people, 4 queen beds. We stay at Best Western Dockside every year. I tried to explain the room where we get joined together, but I guess she didn't understand. She wanted to charge me over $1,000 to stay one night. $394 for each room. I told her forget it, that I wasn't paying that much. I booked online for $342. It would have been nice to talk to someone at the hotel, and not a reservation agent. Now I have a charge pending on my credit card. Our call got disconnected after I told her I wasn't paying that amount. I called back and spoke to someone else about getting the charges off my credit card. She told me I had to call customer service so that the agent cannot remove charges. I was given the number to customer service and couldn't talk to a person without a reservation number. Not happy with this!!

The agent lied about being with the actual hotel, with whom I needed to book directly for a conference. Very dishonest and I asked several times. The customer service people are taking care of it, but it should never have come to that. I’ll never use this organization as they have shown themselves to be dishonest.

Beware. This company tells you a price all inclusive of fees and then adds a very significant fee. When I called they acknowledge it was wrong. They offered me a 10% then a 12% then a 15% discount to try and make up for almost a 40% overcharge. They refused to refund their overcharge 5 min after the transaction. To be clear the all in charge was $185.53 and after registering CC information they charged $294.44.

I spoke with Carlos to book a room. I expressed three different times during our conversation that I wanted to book a room at the Comfort Inn in Fort Stockton Texas and wanted a king size Suite with a Whirlpool tub. I asked three times to make the correct room was being booked. I was also getting this room for another individual. I made sure to ask Carlos if I could put my card on file to hold the room and the other party would pay for the room when they got there. Carlos said this would happen. I specifically asked will my card be charged? Carlos told me no my card would not be charged. When the party showed up to the Comfort Inn to check into this room, they were not given a whirlpool room.
Also after being told this I looked on my bank account and my card had been charged. When you book a room through the site you are greeted with a person that is very helpful and speaks very clearly. If you have a problem you are sent to a call center overseas where you can barely understand anyone and they are unable to help you. I called once and was told they were unable to do anything they would not even put anybody else on the phone to explain anything further to me. I called back a second time and was put on hold for 30 minutes and then a prompt came up and asked me to leave a message and hung up on me. I never gave authorization for my card to be charged for this room.

I was booked for a reservation in California and I’m in Costa Rica. I was so embarrassed at the front of the line and was told I didn’t have a reservation here at this Holiday Inn across from the airport. Jolene sounded like a computer. I booked a room for a family member who had to find a hotel last-minute over the phone. I went on this site by chance, the agent Vench ** helped me with the reservations. She gave me false hotel room details (room price- overcharge by $200, room size-instead of 300 sq ft, she quoted me 600 sq. ft., occupancy number-instead of for 3 people, she indicated 1, and refund policy- she told me it is fully refundable without penalty if canceled 24 hours prior). She said this room was specially saved for their company to release.
She promised to send confirmation right away. After not receiving confirmation after 20 minutes, I had to call again to speak with another agent. She gave me a completely different room description and told me my email address was invalid. I then gave her again my address and finally received the email confirmation. After reviewing the details, I was very confused and upset and had to cancel the reservation. Then I spoke with another agent named Mary (my third). She said the cancellation will cost me 34% penalty. This is all within one hour of making the reservation with all the false information. I told them I don't want a partial refund with the cancellation, then the next day, I got a partial refund with my cancelation!
I believe this company is operated overseas and have absolutely no idea what they are doing. I spoke to the manager of the hotel after this and the manager promised to look into this matter and would follow up personally. I am planning to sue this company if I do not get my full refund, Please be aware of what you sign up with them.

Hello. I was very disappointed at the way in which this reservation had been made by the representative. She was very deceptive. She did not inform me that this was a prepaid reservation. She refused to take my state government employee status that would have given me a discounted rate. She lied and said that it was not available. I physically went to the hotel where I was to do an upcoming stay. They made my reservation for me and inform me that they would do it under my Government rate. Your representative never told me that she was not directly connected with Spring Hill Suites. Very disappointed. Would never deal with you all again and she needs to be fired because that prepaid piece was very important that she did not share with me and to not accept my Government rate and say that I was not eligible that was very deceptive.

Updated on 04/27/2026: This is a SCAM. They sold me a room at The Awahhanee Hotel in Yosemite which they claimed was refundable. I contacted the hotel which told me I was scammed and there is NO RESERVATION. When I call Reservations.com they tell me they cannot refund me. My credit card had to step in to refund me. Their response on this website where they say “give us your reservation number so we can follow up” is also a scam; everyone that has given them a low rating here, gives them their reservation info and they NEVER GET BACK TO YOU. A class lawsuit is on its way. Major scammers. Consumers beware. I really doubt that the excellent ratings are real. I assume they are fake accounts they use.
Original review: Horrendous. They misrepresented themselves. A guy called David made me think I was purchasing directly with the hotel. And then he sold me insurance that he misrepresented as a refundable room. These practices are unethical and UNLAWFUL.

Please, please be so careful on this website. I was looking for options in a city and was clicking around in different room types, and it asked me to double click, which I accidentally did. It booked a reservation that I was not yet ready to book. I immediately (in less than five minutes) called customer service to let them know of my error because this was not the booking I had wanted and they told me that it was nonrefundable no matter what. Even the airlines give you 24 hours to cancel a reservation that you INTENDED to make. This is a trap and there are much more reputable websites from which you can get a room. As an aside, they did tell me that I could completely cancel my reservation, but with zero refund whatsoever. Again this is a trap. It has ruined our vacation plans as we are now out over $650 for a hotel I did not mean to book. I can’t imagine this site is going to be in business long with this kind of customer service.

Was charged double what it was supposed to be because it was A.I. Upon calling the number for help and speaking with a live employee I was offered about 25% return. When asked for a supervisor I was told not available and that I would get a call back. Never happened. The room in question was in a block saved for my daughter’s wedding and was supposed to be $180 plus tax. I was charged $394. The hotel showed no availability for the wedding date and only 2 rooms left in the reserved block. Being the father of the bride 2 months out I felt I had no choice but to reserve and fix now.

Definitely wasn't a real person, more sounded like a robot. Hard to understand numbers but after a few repeats reservation booked. Already see a fee added after the confirmation. I don't like surprises and wish you can speak to someone. My 83 year friend who is hard of hearing really struggled trying to book a night out and got frustrated and asked me to call.

I called the number listed for the hotel not realizing it was an external company. I quoted the online price and asked for an AARP discount. I was told all discounted rooms were gone but he would give me one anyway. I was given the total and it seemed high. I asked the rate and he quoted what the online price was. If that was true then I was charged 50% in charges/taxes. I asked at the front desk when checking in and was told they did not know what I was charged as it was not them I talked to. No refund, no price adjustment to what I was told the rate was. Which was higher than the online price and price at the front desk. A scam. I will be reporting them.

When I talked to the agent on the phone, he advised me that I could not book it online that I needed to go through him. All this was untrue. He stated that if I booked it online, I would not be guaranteed the room directly from the hotels website. He stated that they do not offer a military discount which they do of 15% but he would not give it to me cause he states that the room is already at its lowest price and they could not give a military discount on top of it, which was also untrue. He would not give me any options to talk to a manager. I felt he was very unprofessional. I will never use this service again.

I was definitely not speaking with a live person. Absolutely felt like it was an AI generated communication. I found the communication robotic, and unfriendly. The “Robot Agent named Jolene” was unable to verbally repeat what they just spelled out for me. It was frustrating because I had to phonetically spell out my email, at least 5 times. And each time the Robot would repeat the information incorrectly. I eventually gave up correcting it. And agreed at which time “Jolene” transferred me to another AI agent. Who was zero help. At this point my reservation ended up in my email.

My agent was great but here at the hotel itself I’m being totally overcharged by hundreds of dollar and still have a 600$ check out fee. I really don’t understand what’s going on but now I’m very upset. My vacation is ruined because this and there’s no manager on site on the weekend as I was told. Even if I estimate 5 nights let’s say at a rate of 274.00 that add up to about 1,370.00 but I was charged 1,857.00 and that is not including tonight. I paid 274.00 last night over the phone. Now when I check out and check back in today I’m afraid that they will charge my card again. I’m very upset. Another thing the 150.00 hold fee did not go to my dining and drinking so I’m also being charged 600.00 for food and drinks. I’m very confused and I don’t think I’ll ever come back here and I will tell everyone I know so this won’t happen to them. I hope they fix this…. I'm very disappointed.

I had called Rancho Bernardo Inn for a previous reservation for an upcoming wedding. Thinking I was calling them again for another I got Reservations.com. I said I want to reserve another room for the wedding and they acted like they were the hotel but the one night was not special rate so it was $541 vs $299. Well OK, paid for the room. I call back to talk to the front desk and was informed Reservations.com is third party service. I then did reviews and found out they scam a lot of people. Do not use them. They are wolfs in sheep's clothing. Called back today to cancel the room, over 2 months ahead of time and they will refund me $161 out $541. Always verify it is the hotel desk - Reservations.com will steal your money and they're not even ashamed about it.

The agent didn’t tell us of a service fee they charged. Also he claimed the price included the pet charge, false. When we got to the hotel, the pet charge wasn’t included and had to be paid again. Overall it cost us $198 + $18 = $216.00 as compared to $130 if we walked into the hotel. Beside the $75 for the dog. They claim it was the last room, false, to get us to purchase quickly. The hotel had plenty of rooms. Giving a 1 star is generous. Also claimed we were talking to the hotel.

Very disappointed in this hotel, I was given a price of $142.01. 5 minutes later my daughter calls and her rate is $132.00, I call asking why, was told rates change every minute. I booked a two-night reservation through this site and when I tried to check in, there was no electricity at the resort, so I couldn’t check in per resort. I have called Reservation.com three times to confirm the cancellation but I haven’t received an email to confirm cancellation three days later yet. I had to call my credit card company to report it. By the way, I was told my total cost including taxes and fees would be $270.79 but I was charged $513.16 instead. I will not do business with them again.

We called the number thinking we were calling the Motel direct. We got the agent and we told her what Motel we wanting to book. We repeated the name of the Motel and Gave her the address multiple times. She assured us we were booking the one we requested. It turned out it was not the one we requested and it had a terrible rating. Not to mention when she told us about the extra charge for it to be refundable she never let us answer before she booked it. We ended up having to find another Motel suitable to stay in.

Outrageous. I was on the phone for 40 minutes with one rep and then cut off when their system would not register my credit card number despite seven tries. Then, upon calling back and getting another rep I learned that my first booking date was incorrect and incomplete. We tried again and, again, the credit card could not be accepted. I then just went to the hotel itself and made reservations at 350 dollars less. I had mistakenly thought that Reservations.com was the website for the hotel, but then after a total hour’s frustration, I saw the small print which revealed it was Reservations.com. Never again will I use this ‘service?’. It’s as close to a scam as I have seen in a long time.

The gentleman on the phone was very polite. The A/C Hotel in Bentonville, AK website advertised that a room was $147, however, when I called to make a reservation the room was $329! We tried to book a reservation for Moody Gardens online. The site implies that you are booking directly through the hotel. IT DOES NOT STATE THAT IT IS RESERVATIONS OR ANYBODY.COM. We tried to go back to the site to get the confirmaton reservation and received error message. See photo below. Waited 10-15 minutes and did not receive an email confirmation. We became concerned and called the purported direct line to the hotel (**) twice and got a different AI for each call that sounded human. You are directed to select 1 for new reservations and 2 for existing reservations. We selected 2. The recording informed us that the call is only for new reservations, repeats and then hangs up. We asked the second "human" named James to not hang up on us. He assured us he would not.
As soon as we asked for assistance with the reservation we made, "he" hung up. We called another number, where we got the number, I don't recall where and received 800-497-2175. We received "Jolene". Jolene is even more sophisticated than the first two and has a Southern accent and sounds down-to-Earth. We asked Jolene not to hang up on us either. She assured us she would not with "um right here with you. Um not goin' anywhere". Jolene could not do anything with our existing reservation and suggested she could give us a great deal if we wanted to reserve through us. I explained that I did not want to make another reservation and end up with 2 or 3 more reservations that I can't cancel because we are inside the 72-hour cancellation window. Let us know she could not access a reservation done online.
"Jolene" gave us a strange reading of the number to call starting with telling us she would give us the number "in blocks" and read it "123 repeat 123, 456 repeat 456, 7890 repeat 7890" two times then said the number normally "123-456-7890" two times and asked if we needed it read again. I said no, still thinking I was talking to a human (why????), and repeated the above again.
We ended up calling Jolene two more times and finally got a relevant number to the hotel we wanted to book. Maybe? Any rate, this human or AI, explained that it might take a few minutes to get the confirmation email. During the call, which was easily 20-25 minutes after the initial call about our reservation, the email finally showed up. We told her we received it and she understood our concern but assured us that the emailed confirmation would arrive soon. (SIGH) THIS WAS HORRIBLY DISTRESSING BEING HUNG UP ON REPEATEDLY and wondering how to block what was looking like a scam reservation.

I used this service to book a room at a hotel because I was told the hotel I wanted was full. After booking the room I called the original hotel I wanted to stay and they said they had rooms available. I immediately called this service back to explain the hotel I wanted did have a room. I was told by employee Allen that the only way I could cancel the reservation was to book the new reservation through them. I booked and was told the supervisor that had to approve cancellation/credit was out of the office and would send me an email cancellation confirmation when she returned. this did not happen.
I called back, an employee named Carrie said she would get with the supervisor and personally call me Monday at 9:30 am to confirm credit. That did not happen either. I spent almost 2 hours on hold on 2 occasions to reach service dept. When I finally got through I was told another department would have to help. I received 2 emails declining the credit. This service wants the name of the person at the hotel that approved the cancellation. I've explained in both emails that their service told me it was canceled not a hotel employee. I recommend you avoid using this service, it appears lying and stealing is an acceptable practice.

I was under the impression I was speaking to a Hilton rep. I was told there was only 1 room with 2 small beds left after I was already told I would get a king bed room with breakfast for $219. While I was on the phone giving my credit card suddenly that room was gone, I got no break as a Hilton Honors member or as a veteran or with my wife being a AAA member. When all was said and done I ended having to pay $290 because it was “the last room” on check in. I was told they had nothing reserved for me because I used a 3rd party. I explained that the person mis-represented himself as a Hilton reservation specialist. They finally found me a room then said breakfast was extra and no King Bed. Obviously I got lied to, ended up paying a lot more for the wrong room. At least the manager took breakfast off my bill after spending a half hour at the front counter even though I had a reservation number. Frustrating expensive experience.

I booked with Alan ** and asked twice about a pet fee. He told me twice, very clearly, that there was no fee for pets. (He was on speaker and my husband heard him as well.) When I got to the hotel, they asked for my credit card to charge a $25 pet fee. I told them what Alan had told me and nicely, they waived the fee. I will never use reservations.com again!

Andres did a fantastic job of finding us a hotel after the storms when many flights were canceled and it became very difficult to find a hotel in Miami. He was efficient and capable and friendly and professional.

The Representative was kind, professional, and I was able to make reservations fairly easily. I use the touch tone to enter my credit card information and a confirmation was sent via text and email. Thank you.

Beware. They overcharge extremely more than what the hotel cost is. Got to hotel and there was as much as $200 more for this than what the hotel charges. All of this is completely blindsiding. Always check your cc charge.

My sister's flight home to MA from Cuba was cancelled due to the snow storm tomorrow. So she needed my help to handle this emergency. George was very helpful, understood the situation, and explained various options to me, e. g. 1 or 2 nights, insurance or not, cost of various options, etc. I really appreciated his patience and understanding.
