I booked a return trip from Rajkot to Goa. After paying through net banking my literary was changed. Call center told me to call later as this was due to system update. Next day they are blaming me for putting wrong timing. Later got a call from them saying they have full details of the log through which booking is done, the details are totally wrong, they tried to bluff me. Any other person who has been cheated by make my trip on or around 19th April please email me on ** as I am trying to build a huge case against these frauds.

Booking id: **. Booked the ticket for 12 Apr 2015 and at each step for booking showed 12 Apr 2015 date of travel on website BUT when final ticket appeared after making the payment, the date was 21 Apr 2015. We are 100% sure that we selected 12 Apr 2015 as we checked it at all stages of making booking. Makemytrip has not agreed that there is a mistake in their system as their log still showing that we selected 21 Apr 2015 NOT 12 Apr 2015. Beware - there is some fault in the site. Suggestion is that don't use Makemytrip for booking your travel.

Couldn't change the flight prior 3 month of the flight. Called 10 times in 6 days, talked to rude customer people. They put me on holds for 10-40 minutes, didn't want to tell their names, or tried to tell the name like it was something in their mouth. In addition, they told me different amount penalty fee every time I called them. Lastly suggested to pay 700$ to change my flight, but couldn't promised that I will get my e-ticket. A customer service lady had something in her mouth so she couldn't pronounce the words, connected me with supervisor, I waited for him 30 minutes, and phone call was ended somehow. Guys, what we can do for them? Any ideas? I will call them till now everyday, I will write e-mails. But I think it is not enough, they just sitting there and smile with something in their mouth (Carrot, for example, or banana). Help, help, help.

I had booked my ticket for my daughter who is studying in Mumbai, but her exams got postponed and I wanted to change travel dates. First I had to hold for 45 minutes and then they said there is no dates available for two months. And when I called airlines, they said they have availability and for changing the dates, they are charging $700 and for cancellation $500. Really frustrated and will never go through MakeMyTrip again.

Never risk your hard-earned money patronizing this company because if your flight is cancelled, they will cheat you out of your refund. These people at MMT Gurgaon office just lie through their teeth and defraud customers of money. Their top boss in Gurgaon clearly embezzle customer funds and use it to line their own pockets. There is a pattern of chronic corruption going on and customer service reps have been trained to keep stalling customers who inquire about status of their refund. The rot goes straight to the top.
An aunty had recently lost her husband and she asked me to arrange her flight from Kochi to Chennai in December 2014. I booked a flight via MMT. Airline informed that the flight had been cancelled a few days prior to departure. I called MMT about refunding the money and was told I would need to confirm refund processing with airline. Despite long waits on airline phone service, I was able to confirm the refund processing from their end and phoned MMT again in Dec, was told aunty's refund would be sent in two weeks. Got back home in Jan and called re: status of refund and met with very rude representative named ** on the phone who said refund had already been processed and he was not sure what to say to me.
Then began saga of communicating with MMT via email. They ask for credit card statements which I forward to them and then they lie about how the refund will be processed, has been processed, they don't know why it is not showing up on my statement, they need to check with accountant, they need more time and more such nonsense tactics. Have now gone through two reps (one ** and another **). First Ms. ** claimed refund had not been sent from airline and tried to shake me off that way. When I told them I would register an official complaint with police, Ms. ** immediately promised that refund had been processed on Feb 15th and would be deposited in my statement within 20 days - all lies.
Now Mr. ** asks for statements which I have forwarded to him. Then each time I follow up he requests more time and sits on his hands. He asked for time till March 20th 5 pm and provided no response by Mar 25th so I followed up. Then Mr. ** asked for time till April 9th 5 pm and as of April 14th there has been no response from MMT.

I have booked the ticket from Bangalore to Dubai, unfortunately I want to cancelled the ticket. I called the Indigo, their information only MakeMyTrip can cancel this because I booked through this hell site. I called the CC, the call directly guided me to IVR something system (cancellation through phone), end of the call I talked one CC executive and he said within 15 days cash will back, and I got some sms also to my mobile. After 15 days amount is not credited. When I called they said ticket not cancelled and can't refund the amount, IVR ** system not cancelled etc., etc. ** reason. If this kind of prob then why that system. MakeMyTrip is ** ass site. Pls don't book anything through this, I lost my 13k.

Misguided booking date and fare rules. I selected journey date as 12-Dec-2014 while booking my air ticket from Ranchi to Pune and ticket was showing as refundable. But when payment was made the journey date was showing as 1-may-2015 and ticket as non-refundable. This was really ridiculous. We don't know what to do, as MakeMyTrip won't agree with say.

Hi. I made a booking for 1-DEC-2014 from Ahmedabad to Bangalore and the amount is Rs 6525/- (connecting flight): Booking ID - **, Ahmedabad to Mumbai -- flight no. 9W-7023, Mumbai to Bangalore -- flight no. 9W-411. I received a booking confirmation and e-ticket before reaching the travel time. But when I reached airport, I was shocked that only one ticket is confirmed out of two (Ahmedabad to Mumbai is confirmed). When I called the customer support they said 9W-411 flight was cancelled and it is non-operational (After checking with the respective airline I came to know that flight was operational).
After calling couple of time to customer support they suggested me to book any of the flight from Mumbai to Bangalore and make my trip is going to refund the new ticket amount. I booked a new ticket with an amount of Rs 5324/- (flight no. 6E-212). Till date (8-Apr-2015) I have not received the complete refund. Pending amount is Rs 1518/-. Issues: (1) Worst customer care; (2) Giving false information that the flight is non-operational; (3) Cancelled the ticket on 4-Dec whereas journey date is 1-Dec (showcasing that I have cancelled the ticket where it was done by Make my trip); (4) Not proper response even after calling many times to customer support.

I booked a honeymoon package to jammu and kashmir. (Booking ID- **). I faced the following inconveniences: Nobody came to pick me up at the station. My package provided for AC Taxi, I got Non-AC; Due to the reason that nobody came to pick me up, I had to stay at jammu at my own cost. The bill of the same was forwarded to the company for claim.
Due to the above I claimed a refund for lodging charges at jammu and for the ac taxi. Consequence: Against my complaint and refund demand of around 8-10 thousand, they said that they are ready to refund my conveyance charge from jammu station to jammu hotel i.e. around Rs. 100. Pathetic people, pathetic service and very very rude behaviour.

I have booked Malaysian Trip for my parents and before the trip my grandpa died and I need to cancel the trip. MakeMyTrip told me that they would refund the entire amount but refunded only a partial amount and didn't respond to pay the remaining amount. Over two months of conversation with them, still no complete refund yet. Very frustrating as you call the customer care, they keep on transferring you to different department and finally no one will answer your query. You will always get a response that someone will call you back but they never called me back anytime.....

I have booked my ticket of my domestic travel in India. I have book tickets from USA. When I tried to book online it didn't allowed me. I called and after 20 min I got customer care response. Again after 30 mins long wait he was able to book my flight but wait when I checked my credit card statement I was shocked. I was charged e times for the same ticket. Again I called customer care. Instead of accepting their mistake they asked credit card statement. After the discussion they said I will get my money back soon but I am still waiting.

I booked an air ticket from MakeMyTrip on January 8, 2015. I cancelled my ticket before 24 hours of flight departure. They said the amount will be refund in 15 days. Till date I am waiting for my refund. Whenever I call them they say it is in the process. Sometimes they say it will be no refund because of customer no show and they hang up the call for hours. They make a new story every time I call them. I am having a bitter experience with MakeMyTrip. I hope I will get my refund soon.

We had bought three tickets to go to India from Makemytrip.com and they charged us the money but were not able to provide us with the tickets. I do not mean to exaggerate but my sister and my dad were on the phone with them for hours at a time for days. They just kept telling us to wait and they will take care of everything but nothing got done. They were eager to take the money but when it came to providing the service, they just kept coming up with new excuses. We bought our tickets through them at $910 per ticket, the next day Air India raised their prices but we had agreed to pay the initial price. They already processed the fee and charged it on our credit card but when it came to delivering the tickets, they said that we don't have any booking with Air India and they don't have any answers.
My question is, how do you charge us money but do not have any confirmation? It's simply mind boggling. I think that since Air India raised the prices and they had to pay the difference, they kept making excuses so we would just get frustrated and just pay up the difference. They are so unprofessional and unorganized as an organization. I never do this, I do understand that things do happen but in this case I was driven to the point of utter disappointment and frustration. They never provided us with any kind of assurance and just left us hanging. I am not saying this will happen to you guys, but if you have other options please exercise those before going with makemytrip.com.

MakeMyTrip has shown us completely that the feeling of the regret one would feel when booked through your travelling agency. You are undoubtedly the most, most...worst tour planner we have ever experienced. Firstly when we reached Dubai the first bump we received was that we came to know our tour planner had completely dumped us. As ensured by him just a night before the trip that all our documents were complete was a total lie. The tour was completely missing the sightseeing package details and also no reference ID of our actual Gulliver's travel sightseeing planner was not mentioned - no name of tour guide, no contact details...nothing. We were ensured that the trio pack word itself included all our sightseeing details but it was a cheating. We were told that we had three packages booked for our tour-Dubai cruise, city tour and desert safari.
When we reached there, we were completely ditched when we came to know about that all these things we can't avail. Then we called (on our own expenses worth Rs12000) from Dubai to make my trip (India) several times, to which your dumb employees arranged a poor sightseeing agency after several calls we made, and this agency did not even included the desert safari in the package, for which we paid nearly Rs15000 on its behalf in order to go for desert safari. Seriously, I demand some legal action to be taken against you and especially your employees ** and **.
In total we suffered a loss of nearly Rs30000 due to carelessness and unprofessionalism of these two employees. And to make my trip: Don't think that WE ARE DONE WITH YOU. WE WILL COMPLETELY VIRAL YOUR IMAGE TO EVERYONE POSSIBLE VIA FACEBOOK, TWITTER, WHATS APP AND WE WILL ENSURE THAT NO ONE WHO EVER TRIES TO GET A TOUR PLANNED AT YOUR SITE, BE DECEIVED BY FRAUDS LIKE YOU.

I booked a ticket for a flight from Bangkok to Denpasar for the 12th of March Airasia, the money went out from my HDFC account but no ticket was issued. I immediately informed Makemytrip on email. I was replied by **, she needed further information which I sent immediately. I get a out of office reply immediately and till date no correspondence except complaint no **. I have written countless emails but no replies. Now, is this a fraud or what... never had a problem booking with them... How should I go about to recover my money?

One of the biggest mistake I did was to use MakeMyTrip.com to book my tickets. I cancelled my ticket from New Delhi to Patna using Indigo Airlines on 11th January, got notification from MakeMyTrip on 18th January that it is confirmed. They even deducted their cancellation fees from me by 29th January, Rs3500. Since then, my account says amount of Rs13942. They refunded only amount Rs1640 around. I have been calling them since then, everytime they say within 5 working days they will fix the issue. It's 3 months now. Every time, new customer care people picks up call and I have to explain everything once again. I live in Singapore, and every conversation takes 30-40 mins, including waiting time on hold for more than 20 mins. If I call the office here in Singapore, they say to contact India office.
I have spoken to Mr. ** and then Mr. ** on 23rd Feb. 2015. On 3rd March 2015, I spoke to Miss **. When I asked her to give her office email ID so that I can revert back to her, she gave me a fake ID: ** (as stated by Gmail on failed delivery). I have called using international no. for almost 3 months now and every conversation last 40 mins in order to get refund of Rs13942. I am very much disappointed by this service and have no good words to say. Neither I shall ever use MakeMyTrip nor I shall ever recommend anyone.

I have booked a ticket on 25th March and want to change to 23rd March through MMT. I call them and was transferred after mins of holding and then after explaining the "Travel Specialist" can't explain how he arrived at the fare difference amount and disconnects. I call them repeatedly for next 3 hours and every time I connect need to go through the ordeal of explaining and then the amount is unexplained. The airline charges for change of date is 1500 but MMT says 2000?? Why should I pay 500 extra? And when I lodge a complaint on their website and nothing so far.

This is reference to my cancelled tickets from Chandigarh to Mumbai on dated 10th jan 2014, MakeMyTrip Booking ID **. Booking is done through Makemytrip.com, but yet not received the refund amount. I've already spoken to SpiceJet Airlines. They've already refunded the amount to you all. In spite so many calls, repeated messages and emails, there is no response from your end. Kindly treat this matter on a priority basis. Kindly do the refund at the earliest.

On Monday, 16 February 2015, I did one of the biggest mistakes in my life, and I booked a flight through MakeMyTrip.com. I've received the electronic ticket successfully within 20 minutes after making the payment by my credit card. Then, at midnight I checked my email and found a new message from one of the company's representatives called **, asking me to provide a photocopy of the credit card (backside and front side) and a photo ID of me. I replied and sent him the front side and informed him that the next day I'll send the backside and my photo ID because I don't have them right now. The second day, I finished my work and went to my office and sent the rest documents and asked him if everything is ok, but he didn't reply. I checked the booking with Air France, and they informed me that the booking has been cancelled completely (without any notification)!
I sent ** an email asking him what's wrong but he didn't answer. After 3 days he simply replied: "your booking has been cancelled and a full refund of paid amount is in your account" (USD 1477.00). I checked with my bank, but they informed me several times that no refund exists in my account! I waited until 1st of March to find a new email in my inbox from other representative called **. (I was sending emails frequently all that period with no replies). ** stated that he/she wants to track the refund transaction so I have to provide them the following information: booking ID, date of booking, e-mail ID, contact number, amount charged, contact number (provided at the time of booking).
I've sent all the requested information quickly and accurately...and he/she disappeared until this moment! I've sent many reminders but they used their classic method (ignore the customer)!! I want my refund immediately!! They delayed it in addition of the damage they caused to me when booking another ticket with a higher price! I want the money or I will file a case against this company!! All their methods are not convincing!! I feel there's something wrong! How they could cancel a ticket without notification for any reason? How could they mess with people's money and travel plans? I want my money back ASAP. My experience was MadeMyTrip, the worst ever!

The customer service offered by MakeMyTrip is far below standard compared to other like agencies. Had undergone a bitter experience like not getting in time response to repeated mails and directing the passenger to do the cancellation quoting budget airline. At the worst of all, if called on toll-free, keeping it ringing for long period and later putting on hold for some pretext. If it's a fresh booking call, are attended at the first ring itself. Customer care supervisor intervention when sought always declined, and calls getting disconnected rudely. As the higher management is incapable of taking care of happenings at various offices for the reason grown too big for economy/budget passengers, this is a heads up to fellow members to think of an alternative before opting for MakeMyTrip.

It is a scam (type of) company. They did provide me the ticket but they also double charged my Paypal account. When I saw the disparency, I contacted them via Paypal but they did not respond. Eventually I escalated the issue as Paypal claim. Paypal denied twice to refund the money because air ticket was "intangible". It was my second time buying ticket with them, first experience was normal but second time they manage to rip me off. So, if you happen to get double charged mistakenly, YOUR MONEY WILL BE GONE FOR GOOD. Paypal transaction number: **

Hello Jagadish - Rs. 2697 is only the tax amount. I need to get the full refund. This is a flight cancellation case and not ticket cancellation from my side. I have also spoken to the Airlines. They have refunded the full amount. Please speak to a person called Nanda ** from Air Asia. He has the full history of the case. Hello Mr. ** - I had earlier written to you on pathetic experience we had with your Holiday Expert's service and the quality of the overall itinerary like hotel and car service. Now we are still not out of this experience. I am speaking to your executives almost every alternative days from Dec-25th-2014. The services are to be honest very unsatisfactory and irresponsive and casual to the core. I would thank you if you can help me with this refund.

Stay away and do not buy from them. Scammers and horrible experience. I booked a ticket to India from SFO Oct 28, 2014 and was asked for a credit card to hold my ticket with a promise that if at all I cancel within 24 hours nothing will be charged. I canceled the ticket within 24 hours assuming no charges. Instead I find out that they charged $810 on my credit card. When I called I was assured a refund but in 21 days!!! I trusted them and waited and waited and waited with numerous emails, support ticket and calls and each time they accepted the mistake and promised refund but no refund posted until Feb 19, 2015.
When I threatened to file a complain they not only did not refund but to my horror sold my credit card to some scammers who fraudulently tried to use my credit card in LA, California (one I gave to MakeMyTrip for booking) but were intercepted by visa fraud watch on Feb 21. Beware of this Company and never buy ticket from them and DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. Hope this helps people and saves them the agony that I went through. This is the truth and I have all proofs including a support ticket from MakeMyTrip and multiple email communications from them accepting error and prompt refund but no follow-through.

I booked a combo package (flights+hotel) as per their commitment of cheaper rates compared to separate bookings. However on checking I found it was cheaper to book the same flights and hotel cheaper separately. On trying to cancel, their customer service told me that cancellation was not possible because the rates were 'special.' It is very, very difficult to get through to customer service. They keep you on long holds of 20-25 minutes, transfer you to the wrong department, put you on further long holds while transferring, until one hangs up in frustration. Practically impossible to get through to their customer service. Apparently they are too cheap to hire a few extra agents to handle calls. This must be the very worst customer service I have ever encountered.

I have booked a ticket from US to India, I have asked for a change in date and called customer service around 11 times but whenever I call they transferred the call to International dept but the call was landed in domestic travel.... Very bad and inexperienced customer service. I won't even book my travel ticket through this junk website and irresponsible company and staff.

The travel agent messed up my tickets. And then I spent 30 hours on the phone explaining it to 30 different agents!! And every time it was "we apologize, we will call you back in 24-48 hours." Worst experience ever, I travel quite a bit and have never seen anything like this before. Would never do business with them and strongly discourage others.

I wanted to change my flight from Nagpur to Delhi from the evening flight to an early morning flight. The 1st time I called i waited online for 20 minutes listening to a stupid message every 10 seconds saying "Sorry for the wait, our call volumes are high". Really, as a customer do I have to listen to it every 10 seconds? After the service agent came online and he found my booking I waited another 10 min while he was evidently checking the flight availability (he did communicate 3 time during that period to me that he was working on it). Finally he told me the link provided by the airline (Indigo) was not working so he couldn't do anything at that time and to call back in 4 hours.
6 hours later I called Make My Trip and again experienced a 15 minute wait (again listening to the same "High Call Volume" message every 10 seconds). Finally an agent comes online, finds my booking and tells me the link is broken and doesn't know when it will be working again. I ask to talk to his manger and was told he was in a meeting which of course we all know is totally a lie. Eventually after I repeatedly asked to talk to a manager and being told that wasn't an option, asking when the link would be available again which he didn't know, he told me to call back again in 4 hours.
How can a company not have an estimated time when a communication link will be working again? How can a company not be able to help a customer for an entire day? I'm sure hundreds of other people were experiencing the same issue. This is the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced! I will never use Make My Trip to to book another airline flight within India or to India!!

I was trying to book a ticket from Delhi to Kolkata and return. I thought MakeMyTrip would be a good option. They first started by charging me once, then charging me a second time and then processing a cancellation for the second duplicate ticket. When I contacted the customer care executive after waiting for 40 mins., the customer care executive showed callousness in her ability to help. I wanted to change the prep on one of my tickets by one day, so what she did was she kept charging me two more time for the same transaction. So, my price showed became over Rs. 26000 for a round-flight ticket for Rs. 8307. As I was requesting to talk to a higher team leader, she disconnected the call and it was impossible to reconnect to MakeMyTrip. I was so frustrated with such poor service and harassment.
I was up trying to contact them till 2:30 at night. It caused me severe emotional trauma and their catchphrase, making moments unlimited, yes has left the worst memory of trying to book a simple flight ticket. My cancellation status is yet to show up after almost 4 hours and it's almost impossible to connect with them over phone, cause apparently as the customer care executive stated, MakeMyTrip is such a big organization - it has no time for it's customers. I will file a case if I fail to receive the refund.

Terrible experience although I have been a loyal client of Makemytrip. Cancelled my Hyderabad to Delhi Air India Ticket on 19th November 2014 at the airport and also informed Makemytrip about the cancellation on 8th January 2015. I am supposed to get a refund of Rs.9978. My cancellation reference no. **. I have called the customer service umpteen number of times for the refund, but all my efforts proved futile. They haven't responded at all. Am a frequent traveler but never in my life had such an experience.

I had booking thru MMT for Spice jet. Spice jet cancelled the flight in Dec.'14 and Jan.'15. Now I am trying from 1 month for my refund (app. 22k). If you call them nobody comes on line. If you go to their website just escalate your complain. That too they have confirmed via mail that they will refund the money but till date I am just calling and mailing them. It is very very bad service. I would recommend everybody not to book thru them.

I made a reservation through Make My Trip website and I regretted it ever since. They offer you a fake online discount of $30 to book through them. The email invoice reflects that but my bank statement shows the original price listed as deducted. When I called them... I was left on hold for an hour. Then a horrible girl who didn't even know how to talk comes on the phone and tells that they only charged me as per the email invoice and she has no idea why my bank statement reflects otherwise!!!!!! Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE, THIS IS A WARNING... DO NOT BOOK FROM THIS SITE!!! They are fakers and will never refund any money they owe you. To add to everything else, their customer service sucks!!! Asked that girl to send me a reference Email that I never got!

I had booked ticket for my wife and my daughter MakeMyTrip Booking ID - ** on 18th decemeber 2014. Travelling from mct-amd-mct (20-01-2015 /06/02/2015). On the date of flying 20th jan-2015, spicejet had 4 hours delay, which they have the option if flight delays more than 90 minutes, they refund the full amount... so i cancelled directly on spicejet, which in turn refunded money for one-way to travel agent (here makemytrip). Later as my family could not fly, I have no option but to cancel the return part, as ticket has not been utilized). Once I did this I wrote to makemytrip to refund my full money.
While as per the tickets rules... for the return portion (fine should in the maximum 1800+500 per ticket which is 2300 only, but they have deducted full amount. This doesn't stop there. Every time i follow up for my refund i do get the response with new dates... "your refund has been processed please wait for 72 hours," with every time new names of the customer assistance. Now they have started to even play with their own complaint box that they just log in to the complaint... but do not write anything and shows the status that updated by them.... Last instance happen on 06th february, when deepak ** logged in but has not written any thing on my complaint, but status shows your action pending... What kind of action??? do they have every intention to return my full money or just they have cheated me like the rest of the customers...
Will I ever get the justice for the trauma and trouble i am going through to get my refund... are there any people/committee is looking after these kind of online fraudsters who are keen to get the money, but not interested to return when time comes.... Please do the needful to get me justice... I have now faith on you....

Unfortunately my experience with MakeMyTrip has left a lot to be desired. First of all the booking could not happen, while the money was transferred to their account. On top of that, they have been falsely assuring that money will be reimbursed-first in 72 hours and then in 8 "working" days. Pls calculate how many working days from 24th Jan till date. Money is still not in.
Matter escalated 3 times on their website. Nobody has bothered to call back. Umpteen calls - each with a wait period of 20-25 mins and no resolution till date. Really sad with the after sales experience of MMT. Are they only interested in sales & no focus on issue resolutions? Everybody: sincerely hope you do not get into any of these situations with them.

I am a regular customer of Makemytrip unfortunately since 3 years and as you can see I'm too lazy because I haven't switched to the other travel help sites yet. In these 3 years, I have booked flights at least 20 times (all through Makemytrip) and more than half of these consist of international flights. You might be wondering why all of a sudden I'm writing this mail to you after 3 years. Was the service good in these 3 years? The answer is No. The service has been pathetic (yes, literally) since beginning. I work in an MNC in Gurgaon and I do not have time to write long mails even though I love to. I rather tend to ignore things, but then I do not tolerate any misbehavior from other's end.
I can go on and on describing your company but I will just stick to my 2 major complaints: Pathetic Service - Back in December last year I wanted to cancel my return flight from Frankfurt to New Delhi and since your 'amazing website' did not permit me to cancel online, I had to call up your customer service. After waiting for 1 hour on the line (not exaggerating) I was put on line with this guy who took 20 minutes (again not exaggerating) to confirm the cancellation of my flight.
Wait, that's not the complaint. This guy after 10 minutes, mails to me telling me that he calculated the refund wrong and that the amount refunded will be something else. So he apologizes and tells me that he did not cancel it and that I would have to call up the customer care again. Do you think I have time to spend another hour waiting on your lines for his bloody mistake? If it's his mistake shouldn't it be his courtesy to call me back? I'm sure you have caller IDs, and if you don't I won't be surprised.
Refund not received - I called up again and waited in line another hour to get it cancelled. It was cancelled ultimately. Guess what? It's been a month and I haven't got my refund back yet. What is this service about? Do you guys intentionally do it to piss off customers? Is it a company policy to shove away customers? Yes? See I have lots of things as well regarding your 'unfriendly user interface' of the site but that's none of my problem now as I won't be using Makemytrip again. I just want to get my rs 28k refunded ASAP. Request you to look into this matter urgently.

I will not recommend booking your trip thru MakeMyTrip.com. They are the most unorganized and mismanaged travel planners I should say. They organized such a pathetic bus for 28 passengers that we were very angry - seats torn, no proper curtains, ac not working, seats broken, seat handles so worn.... hurting kids. After each one called their travel agent's office for like 10 times a day, a new bus was send from Delhi. We reached all the spots at closing time so we were always rushed out of the forts and were not able to enjoy them properly.
Lunch is not included in the package but all the places we stopped for lunch were either very small to fit in a group of 28 people or were so crowded with people that we got horrendous late in having our lunch everyday (4:00 pm) and then at dinner time we were not able to have dinner. No sense of time, mismanaged. No proper guide from the start. Very less information is shared. Guides accompany you at the venue only. I have traveled with other travel agencies but not seen such pathetic service anywhere. Hope this helps others and save your precious time.

I booked a ticket from BOM to LKO using my HDFC Credit Card, as there was an offer relating that. Now when I am asking about the Cashback they are saying I never used the Offer Code. Since I don't have proof that I used it, it's making me really angry. I know I used the code, I should have taken the screenshot. So people I would advice you not to use MakeMyTrip for any Trip.

And if you are going to cancel any flight ticket through this site then you will get an amount that you wish to give to a beggar. No ** clear details will be given in email. And if you call customer support service they will tell you many charges which are non-refundable and finally you will get only a very little amount, which we can say they refund only a change against our total amount pain. I have booked the ticket and got the PNR number. After a week I am getting a message saying that transaction failed. I checked in my bank amount has debited towards make my trip account. Called customer care also waste of time. Finally they are telling their technical problem. I suggest don't plan and book the tickets in make my trip. I lost the money towards cancellation my hotels, travels all the arrangement which I made against this booking. Worst service they will provide. They not even provided alternate tickets since I can see the tickets in the same flight.

I got my USA tickets in MakeMyTrip in Aug 2014. I traveled to USA in Nov 2014, and my return tickets I changed my travel date to 31st 2015, by paying money for date change from 4th Jan 2015. I never got the eticket, in spite of calling everyday from 24 Dec 2014 to 28th Jan 2014. On 28th I get a call from MakeMyTrip saying they will try to get a ticket in a another airline not in my original airline British Airways. I am stuck in USA without a ticket. I called the British Airways, they said MakeMyTrip have blocked my tickets, but didn't get the tickets. The airline they are trying to get is Etihad Airways from New York, but New York 6000 flights were cancelled due to snow.
This is ridiculous. Just imagine, if a person doesn't have money and come get stranded in a foreign country without a ticket. Call center is useless. For getting a new ticket, the person comes in line immediately. For the existing booking, it goes on call wait for hours together. PLEASE DON'T EVER TRUST MAKEMYTRIP. DON'T BOOK YOUR TICKETS IN THAT WEBSITE.

I would like to personally thank you for ruining my vacation with your poor customer service and general demeanor. Planning a trip with your company was definitely memorable as I now know never to book with your company or even recommend any of my family and friends either. It all started when I decided to spend 5 days in Goa around New Years Eve. I booked my trip with Samim ** from the Delhi. The trip total came to 68,000 Rs. which included flight from Delhi to Goa, 4 nights at Hotel Colva Kinara, and a flight from Goa to Mumbai. I had requested Hotel Colva Kinara after finding out that other hotels were charging an extra fee for a New Years Eve Party. Samim ** said this hotel did not have a mandatory party for their guests.
I was only able to pay 20,000 Rs. at a time with my debit card and I was going to pay for the trip over several days. Samim ** insisted that I pay the full amount as soon as possible. In a hurry, we asked if we could pay the remainder (48,000 Rs.) in cash. He gladly agreed and directed us to go to the Mumbai (Andheri) office on Sunday before 6pm. After rushing to get there, we were turned away by the security guard who informed us that the office closes at 5pm on Sundays. I immediately called Samim ** and he told us that he was unaware of the hours of operation of the office that HE had sent us to for HIS company. We were frustrated that he had made me and my 80 year old grandfather run in order to make it to this office on the other side of town.
The following day we went to the Mumbai office right when it had opened up at 10AM. We were now told by the staff at this location that they can only accept 25,000 Rs. cash at a time. I immediately called Samim ** and once again, he denied any knowledge of this rule. We ended up paying at the Andheri office and then crossing the city to the Mahim office in order to pay the remainder of the trip.
At the Mahim office, Samim ** tells me that he didn't book the package at the time when I had paid over 50% of the cost and now the direct flight from Delhi to Goa was 6000 Rs. more. I calmly requested for another alternative flight that would leave the package cost at 68,000 Rs. He gladly gave us a connecting flight with two separate airlines that stopped in Mumbai for 3 hours. We were reluctant to take this offer as it would waste a full day travelling but we were forced by the circumstances to agree.
On December 26, 2014, we got on the IndiGo flight at 630AM in Delhi. The pilot and airport were constantly giving us notifications that the poor visibility conditions (57m) was below their required standard (125m). As a result, all the passengers on this flight were seated on the aircraft for OVER 4 HOURS. When the flight finally left at 1030AM, we were relieved to be on our way. Upon arriving at the Mumbai airport, we had missed our connecting flight with Jet Airways at 12:35PM. We were then told by the Jet Airways booth that they were not able to simply put us on the next flight because it was not the same airline. They were asking for 22,000 Rs. to transfer us to the next flight. As this was unreasonable, I called Samim ** and asked for a solution. He did not pick up my phone calls.
I then asked Jet Airways for a fair solution. They said that they would not charge me a cancellation fee and MakeMyTrip would give me a full refund for that flight if I could find a cheaper flight. Out of desperation, I approached Akshar Travel Agency booth directly across from Jet Airways and they found a SpiceJet flight for 14,000 Rs. I immediately paid for this flight OUT OF POCKET in addition to what I had already paid for the package.
Finally, we got on the flight and we arrived in Goa. We get to the hotel and the reception informs us that there is a mandatory hotel party on New Years Eve that all guests must pay for. The hotel party costs 3,500 Rs. per person. I had already spent 14,000 Rs. earlier in the day and I was frustrated with traveling. I called Samim ** again at that moment and he finally picked up. I reminded him that I had requested a hotel with no mandatory party. He "checked" the vouchers and assured me that the hotel did not mention a NYE party. I told him to speak directly to the hotel staff. The hotel staff told him to check the vouchers again as they had clearly put up the information. After about an hour or so, the situation was not resolved. The hotel staff refused to check us into our hotel and MakeMyTrip refused to pay for the hotel party.
We didn't want to attend the party at all, we simply wanted to rest after a very hectic travel day. Samim ** started avoiding my calls and calls from the hotel itself. I am going to assume that he recognized HIS mistake but he refused to ADMIT it and hoped that I would simply pay for it. We spent 3 hours sitting in the hotel lobby waiting for a reply from either party that the hotel would either wave the fee or MakeMyTrip would pay for it.
By 11:00pm, I had gotten restless and I called MakeMyTrip customer support. The agent followed the normal protocol of asking for my booking ID. Within 2 minutes of pulling up my file, she said the computers were "down" and she was unable to access my file. I knew this was a lie because she would not have been able to punch in my booking ID if the system was down. She said that she would call me within 1 hour. After spending 3 hours, I refused to wait this extra hour.
The hotel manager approached me and I explained my situation. I had explained to him that I did not want to attend the NYE party and nor would I pay for it. We both knew that Samim ** had not read the vouchers correctly and knowingly he was avoiding our phone calls. He kindly requested his owner to let us check in. The hotel manager was able to convince his boss that we had a very special circumstance and our mandatory party fee should be waived. We ended up getting checked in at 11:30PM.
The remainder of the trip went well without a hitch. But I was bound to get reimbursed for my 14,000 Rs. and the poor customer service. Sorry, LACK of customer service. After calling Samim ** and several other customer service agents, I had made 10+ calls and spoke for 2 hours over the span of 5 days. I simply wanted a refund on a flight that delayed due to weather.
It was not my fault that the flight had been delayed and it was not my fault that my UNINTELLIGENT agent SAMIM ** had booked 2 separate airlines. In addition, I was willing to let the hotel reception experience pass. Samim ** is lucky that I was patient and I begged the hotel manager to let us stay. If it was someone else, Samim ** would have gotten an earful. Due to the lack of customer service, I give this company a NEGATIVE 10 out of 5 rating. I will never book with this company again and I hope Samim ** one day learns that humans make mistakes and it is how you react to those mistakes that determines your character.

I booked a ticket from DOH to AMD with make my trip. While issuing the ticket the service was so impressive, a guy called me and facilitated the booking. Now real trouble started after a week when I had to prepone the same flight for just one day. Reaching them was the first step for date change since they only take call immediately on "New Booking Link" but for "Existing Booking" they will make you wait for Minimum 30 minutes to 60 Minutes. A guy took a call, charged a handsome amount of 9000 INR (where as the flight booking charge was 15000) and took the request for date change. The guy who had taken my call after 40 minutes of waiting (This was an international call guys!) and confirmed after taking money online that I shall get the revised itinerary in 6 hours. Yes I received the ticket but gone.
They gave me a ticket From Doha to Mumbai on 24th and Mumbai to Ahmedabad flight on 26th. Now I had no option, totally tied and confused, not with energy to struggle again but called to them. One Gentleman took the call after 25 minutes and by seeing the itinerary he said that "this case will go to my manager since I can't do anything" and their service is down and technical difficulty etc etc. I was waiting for manager to pick up the call but he never did. I kept on waiting for 60 minutes and lost the patience. I am option-less now and have to cancel the booking, losing 25k Inr (I don't know whether they will return the money or what amount).
My sincere and hearty advise is - If you are not confirmed about the travel date and are booking in advance please don't book with make my trip since the service afterwards will make you cry and lose money. New Booking, call will be taken immediately by someone but for existing flight, it's annoying and depressive. I shall never book flight ticket with make my trip. Never ever.

We have booked our kerala trip through make my trip and would like to share with you the experiences we had during the course of the trip. There was a booking for a tempo traveler which was supposed to pick us up at the cochin airport at 9.00 pm. We were told that the driver will be a tourist guide and will take care of us for the sightseeing. The driver will be knowing hindi and english. We were surprised to see that the tempo traveler arrived at 9.30 pm at the airport. We were stranded at the airport for half an hour. On meeting the driver we also came to know that the driver knows only malayalam and does not know hindi and english. It was really surprising. But we thought we will adjust. The driver was constantly on his cell phone during the entire travel. We kept on telling him not to use the cell phone but all in vain.
We were placed in a JCT House boat at Alleppey. The house boat belonged to a company called Thejas. We observed a glass broken for the window from which lot of mosquitoes came in. We were booked for a AC house boat. The attendants on the boat said that the AC facility will be available for us only during 8.30pm to 6.00 am. We were surrounded by mosquitoes but could not do anything. There were only 2 mosquito repellents in the boat. We had a booking for 4 separate rooms. The attendants on the boat said that they will not be able to do anything to this. When the boat halted we went to the village outside and bought 3 mosquito repellent machines to take care of ourselves. The non vegetarian food was limited to only 4 pomfret fishes. Rest of all the meals were veg. We could somehow spend the night.
We were booked at Hotel 7 hills at Trivandrum. To our surprise the owner of the hotel told us that the room ACs were all problematic and he requested us to go to another hotel in the name of Hotel Samrat. When we went to Hotel Samrat we were shocked to see the hotel. The rooms were very small. There were lot of cockroaches in the room. The toilets were not clean. There was no water. We had to wait for almost 1 hour for the water in the bathrooms. To add to our discomforts the restaurant quality of food was hopeless. It was only reasonably ok at Thekkady.
These are only some of the highlights of the issues we had with the facilities provided. There are lot of other issues we have not addressed. I am surprised at Make my trip being a well known company and how can they behave with their customers in such a fashion. After taking all the money, does your responsibility of service get over. We tried to contact Make my trip officials but the only answer we got was “there will be someone getting back to you.” This is not acceptable. Have you ever checked personally whether the 3/4 star facilities which you claim are really worth saying 3/4 star. If the hotels provided by you are claimed to be 3/4 star facilities, I believe good hotels will be 120 stars according to make my trip. Over all our experience with the trip was pathetic. I would rate the overall experience at 3 on a scale of 1-10 (Where 10 is supposed to be excellent). I would request you to kindly return back the entire amount paid by us. We request your immediate reply please.

HI All. No matter how cheap you are getting ticket from this website (MakeMyTrip.com) don’t go for it because after consequences will be horrible. I am calling customer care guys from last one week and trying to change my travel dates and every time they have only one answer that “our system is down”, and when today I asked for changing my travel dates at that time they say that the fare difference that I have to pay is change. On 31st of Dec when I talked with them, he told me that for changing my ticket I have to pay penalty fee of $150 and $100 is the fare difference for the ticket. I said ok and ask him to book this ticket but after a sudden he told me that “Our system is down and you can call us after 2-3 hours.”
I called them again and their system was still down. Before talking to this guy I called customer care guys almost 8-9 times and every time their answer was “Our system is down. Please call again after 12 hours.” And now on 2nd of Jan 2015 when I called them, a girl told me that I have to pay $200 as penalty fee for changing the dates and the fare difference is $250 for the same dates that is 17th of Feb to 6th of March 2015. Then I told her that I called Turkish Airways and they were saying that penalty charge that I have to pay is $135 - then the reply that I got from them was really rude and unexpected. She told me that “then change your tickets with them only - why you are calling us”. I know fare difference can be changed but is it possible that penalty fee can also change.
And every time I have to talk with them for an hour and at very last moment, their answer is “Our system is down. Please call again after 12/24 hour period.” Why don't they change the travel dates on very first attempt. Every call is almost 50 minutes long - sometimes more than this. I am really disappoint with their service and will never going to book ticket from this website and obviously will tell my friends and family to not book ticket from this website.

I had booked an airline return ticket from Mumbai to New York. After utilising the one way sector, I had to reschedule the date of return. It was advised that there were no seat available on my required or nearby dates so I cancelled this ticket and purchased a fresh return ticket through another airlines and paid through my nose (on their advise). I was advised that I would get a refund of about Rs 21700/- within next 14 days. When I did not receive any communication or refund I decided to lodge a complaint. On each and every occasion I wrote I would get a standard computer generated nonsensical reply. When I wrote that I would take up the matter legally, someone from so called supervisory level called me to say that the refund is on the way which was a big lie. It is now more than two months without any result.

This was my first experience with this site and I would highly recommend to buy online or other agents rather than dealing with them. They are very unreliable. The first time I called, the rep said there were no tickets available in my price range. Fortunately I had searched kayak and cheapoair before calling and mentioned that online tickets are available. So he asked for flight no and other details and voila he had the tickets too. Too lazy to search and offer customers good deal. Then he started being rude so I hanged up and called again thinking it could be just one bad apple.
The second rep booked and confirmed my ticket. I was flying the next day because of family emergency. Next morning I received an email saying my booking was modified and to call make my trip. Make my trip asked me to call airline which in turn redirected me back to make my trip since I booked through an agent. Finally they decided to look into it. And guess what... my 'confirmed' flight through make my trip was automatically cancelled and now I'm unable to travel on my chosen date. Now I'm looking for tickets all over again and my trip is delayed.

I booked my honeymoon with Make my trip in Manali hotel Sarthak 3 star. The address mentioned on Make my trip website was mentioned as "Manali road, 1 km from Hadimba temple" whereas the "actual" address is 'different' mentioned in google. I got to know this when I reached Manali's Hadimba temple by a localite. I called the toll free number and explained them the entire scenario also sent them mail with proof. They kept me on hold some time, even hung up on me and kept on hold without asking for permission. Unbelievable, this was done by the Manager Tarem.
This conversation went on for 3 and a half hours. It's impossible to explain you that feeling standing on the wrong address where you don't see your destination hotel in freezing chilling cold with so many luggage in hand. It took almost 4 hours for the Make my trip manager to come up with decision and accept their fault of wrong address being put on their own website. I asked them to relocate me to an upgraded hotel and rooms as compensation; but in return they gave me some shady hotel more kind of a lodge. I just ** believe their audacity of still behaving so carelessly with their clients. Then finally after insisting, they offered me a hotel. I guess less than a 3 star. I was left with no options but to accept that as I was sick and tired of requesting them, asking them to get me better accommodation as I was on my honeymoon with 3 couples. But they failed to understand and misused their authority.
I want them to be punished for not understanding the problem, harassing the clients who paid them 37790/- Rs. Still they can't help us get better accommodation. Kindly do not book from make my trip. They con people and the service is pathetic. I'm sure to sue them and pull them in court for harassing the loyalty in me. The website must be shut as they fool people. Also I'm pulling it in court so that next time they don't repeat this crap and crime with anybody else who's innocent like us.

Guys, do not book Holidays with makemytrip, they can give you nightmares. Even after paying pull money don't even bother to call you back with details of travel documents. You will need to call them and follow up with them. The employees are so unfriendly they will not respond to calls, they will not respond to mails and no one from makemytrip will actually revert back to you. 15 days before the trip they send you air tickets which are actually fake and cancelled tickets. With my experience I feel I have lost all my money and will be filing for police case today for sending me a fake ticket and screwing up entire money. I have lost 1.5 lakhs for which I have not got any air tickets, no travel vouchers and no receipts. If makemytrip has some courtesy they will take some action regarding same as I have also written to management but no action from makemytrip yet.

Okay, so I won't bore you with my story as it's similar to rest of these posts. However, I got my money back from this crooked company and how you could do the same. Call your credit card company and tell them this was a fraudulent transaction and that you did not purchase the ticket. Your credit card company will get the money from this company and put it back on your credit card. Remember, you can only do this charge back within 60 days from the date of the purchase. These guys have so many issues with their website. I booked for November 6,2014, was landing and the same day with couple of hours variation. We booked the hotel, but after I paid the total amount and when I checked the e-ticket, my flight was booked on November 5, 2014 and my hotel was on November 7. I was surprised seeing my e-ticket how did the dates changed. How will I book different days? Where do stay on new land if we land one day. My parents had a horrible experience with MakeMyTrip. I am writing this post in public domain out of sheer frustration. My parents have not received any refund for a cancellation made in June 2014. As stated earlier it been months since this incident happened and there has been no followup in spite of dozens of phone calls, emails and empty promises from their side over the last four months. Overall this is proof of extremely poor service from their side. I would have great trepidation to either use or recommend their services to anyone.

I had plan for a 5 day trip for shimla and manali. As per the travel plan, the travel agent has assured a trip to camp where my complete day activities were planned. But the travel agent failed to do so, and even didn't lift my call for a day. And when i asked him to explain, he says it was a typo error. How can there be a typo error when he has sent me the plan 3-4 times. Very disappointing. Will never book through Make My Trip again. Very bad service as they made a mess of my trip.

The MakeMyTrip website was not allowing me to book online. So I decided to forgo the cheaper price online and book it over the phone. I ordered a two-way ticket for 25K on the phone. She told me this was the cheapest flight. She sent me the ticket via email later that day and to my amazement, I only had a ONE WAY TICKET. So later that day, I called the customer care and explained to them that my account has been debited the entire amount and that this was probably a mistake. I was put on hold and disconnected nearly half a dozen times, at this point I knew the names of every single representative. I finally got frustrated and asked to be connected to his manager and I was put on hold endlessly.
Every single customer care representative accused me. They said that maybe I forgot to mention 'return ticket' while ordering. They said that it would he would register a complaint, review the recording of the call and that it may take 24 hours to get a firm response. This was complete absurdity, the one way ticket was half the price. They were literally robotic and could not empathize with me at all. After 3 hours on the phone and on hold, I gave up. The next morning, I was somehow was able to contact my booking agent who told me that she had made a small mistake. She sent me the correct ticket. But I went through HELL. I was a regular at MakeMyTrip. Never Again.

I have purchased air ticket through the company to travel to India on 29th October and come back on 5th December. As my US visa is ending at the end of December means I have to leave the country by that day. I had to contact the company, open the existing booking to travel in December. So I have contacted them. After contacting the company several times, being on hold for long, with unwillingness to help, forwarding me to talk to the airline (United) itself, finally agent Puneet suggested me to release the ticket (10.15.2014) as it is non-refundable and rebook it later. I have released/open the ticket on the day.
From the same very day, I kept calling them to rebook my ticket in December. Every time, either they tell me their system is down, or they disconnect while talking and never call back, or say, ticket is not priced. I was calling every day from 15th just to hear these words. Today on 10.25.2014, one agent hung up on me after keeping me on hold for 10 mins. Another agent Ankush finally decided to tell me that I need to have a fresh booking, a new purchase. I won't get any money back (953$) as they can't find any ticket for me in December. So I won't get my 953$ and I will also have to pay for new reservation. The agent also said that I can complain to anybody but they cannot help to rebook the ticket.
I have begged to them. I have explained my situation. I asked for help. They are not willing to help me from the beginning. Agents were only interested to get the money from me without providing any service. I am sure there must be more victims like me of such fraud from makemytrip. Because of their cheating nature of business, I have lost 953$ plus I have to book a new ticket which will cost close to 1500$. Tell me how these cheaters still survive? They need punishment for these kind of behavior. They must be taking advantage of such situations from many. Any assistance will be highly appreciated.

It has been a long time now in waiting for proper response from MakeMyTrip. I booked the flight tickets on 3rd Oct, 2014 and As I have informed your team earlier that there is flight timing mismatch in the return tickets due to your system mistake. My return flight is from Goa to Jaipur via Mumbai, and the issue is that Mumbai flight will take off before we will reach Mumbai. For that I have called so many times on your call center numbers but did not get any resolution to my issue. You only people have to arrange the alternate tickets from Mumbai to Jaipur on Tuesday 20th Jan, 2015, and for that it's taking so much time to give a proper response.
This is very strange to me also to see this type of behavior/response from the most popular site like you, and I have now very much frustrated with this behavior from your side. Till now I have called for 10 times on your customer care number but every time I get a single answer that the issue would be resolved in next 48 hours BUT I did not get any response call. It is so frustrating experience and I am going to take legal action against it.

My trip to Jim Corbett during 3rd to 5th October. It won't be out of place to mention that I was given the responsibility of planning the complete trip on behalf of three families (total nine members) including comfortable journey and stay arrangements. I in turn put all my faith in the capabilities of Make My Trip, a reputed company in this field, to make our trip comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. I am really pained to say that the trip was not comfortable or enjoyable but yes, it was a memorable trip (in terms of total mismanagement from your side) for all nine of us. Our experience with the travel and stay arrangements made by you are as under:
Travel Arrangements: To start with, the package consisted of travel by Air Conditioned Tempo Traveler throughout the trip (We opted for Tempo traveler, so all of us can travel together). Now, what we got from you: A poorly maintained Tempo traveler in which the A/C was not working, music system was not working, most of the reclining chairs were not locking in upright position, hand rest handles of most of the chairs were broken, no fire extinguisher in the vehicle, the boarding step of the vehicle was damaged and many more. (Photographs of the vehicle attached).
The whole trip from Delhi to Jim Crobett took around 10 hours and all of us were completely exhausted due to the poor condition of the vehicle. After dropping us at the Hotel, the driver & the vehicle provided informed that the vehicle will be replaced by next morning. But, alas, there was no vehicle at our disposal throughout the next day. Numerous calls were made to the vehicle provider (and you were also kept informed), but on one or other excuse, no vehicle was provided. We were forced to make our own arrangement for local traveling causing lots of discomfort to all members. On third day, the day of our departure from Jim Corbett, no vehicle was made available. Again after numerous phone calls to the vehicle provider and to you too, two cars i.e. one Xylo and one Ertiga reached us at around 10.15 AM, thus delaying our departure by 3 hours. Now dividing the group and traveling in two separate vehicles defeated the whole purpose of booking a Tempo Traveler.
Stay Arrangements: As per our package the accommodation was to be provided in 3 star hotels, but Corbett Aroma Heavens cannot be categorized as even 1 star hotel. I seek explanation from you as to how the hotel has been considered as a 3 star? I must also mention that, initially I had opted for Corbett Tiger Huts but only on your recommendations we agreed for Corbett Aroma Heavens. We were allotted Room Nos 101, 102 and 103. The following were the highlights of these rooms: No Air Conditioner in room no. 102, no intercom in room nos. 101 & 103, no exhaust fan in bathroom of room no. 101, TVs not working in room nos. 102 & 103, faulty bathroom door in room no. 101 and many more (photographs of the rooms attached). 2nd day we were shifted to room nos. 114, 115 & 106. Now these rooms had different problems: Fans not working in room nos. 114 & 115, no intercom in room nos. 115 & 106, poor lighting arrangement etc. The manpower in the hotel/restaurant was not adequate resulting in poor service. Morning tea/milk was not available as late as 8 AM in the morning.
In view of the above, I can assume that you can understand the misery that we had been through during these three days. Now, I must say that as a trip advisor/coordinator, you have failed to fulfill your responsibilities. You had left us alone to face and resolve all the difficulties. You did not care to call me even once to resolve our problems. In fact on my trip, I was more busy in talking to you and the vehicle provider rather than enjoying my holidays.

Booked an international flight tickets from MakeMyTrip, only to realize that connection time provided was not realistic. Called and e-mailed them (1st Oct'14) to resolve and look for an alternate options. It's been 10 days with absolutely no response. The last response that I got was like 5 days back where I get a response that they are trying to contact to the airlines. It's funny and ridiculous that you have been trying to contact the airlines for almost 14 days now without any response. At least have the basic courtesy to to reply to e-mails.

I booked a ticket from MakeMyTrip site from Delhi to Singapore having ticket ID number - **. The ticket was to and fro journey having total price of 28,700 INR. I cancelled the tickets around a month back. The cancellation charge was 4500 INR. Instead it should return 24,200. It just returned me 21,696. The remaining money was clearly shown in the system and was told by call center people to be transferred within 48 hours but they didn’t. After making repeated calls, they communicated that no amount is showing and was raising concerns with their accounts department. These companies are all doing fraud with the customers. Never book a ticket from here.

I had done an international airline booking with multiple connections with INDIA's most trusted website - Makemytrip.com. While the pre-booking service was above expectations, I faced the reality when I needed post billing assistance owing to cancellation of one of my connections by the operating airline, I did not receive an intimation about the cancellation from Makemytrip. Upon my informing them, they advised that I may request for a refund as there is no alternate flight available. On my insisting and 7-8 calls later over a span of 5 days, I was put on a conference call with the airline, where they easily provided alternate, but Makemytrip still wasn't able to reissue the ticket quoting technical difficulty. All my calls, I was advised that I will be updated on status within an hour, the updates never came through. Despite escalating my request/complaint of unresponsiveness of the staff - no resolution was provided.
I am extremely disappointed to have lost so much time, money and energy. All their executives just keep apologizing but nobody is interested in actual resolution of the problem, despite airline providing the alternative. If they cannot reissue the ticket, then who is to do that? It is as if you are breaking your head against a wall. Every call they will tell..."Give us 3-4 hours," and it is going endless now.

I booked a ticket with Make My Trip to leave Saudi Arabia for good. Then, my father became ill. So, I called Make My Trip, and they couldn't change my ticket. The agent said, "book your new ticket, and when you get back to Canada, cancel your ticket". I get back to Canada, and call to transfer my ticket, and they don't do it! My father died, I sent the death certificate, as they requested, nothing... they stopped emailing me and NEVER told me they never cancelled my ticket... Please tell me you can take these shameless people to small claims court in Canada...

I have lodged a complaint to MakeMytrip online, they have not responded properly. I have made a booking with MakeMytrip customer care in India on 11th Sept 2014 from Kochi to Dubai on SpiceJet. They issue ticket for IRS 50254/- for my trip, the cost of the ticket is already mentioned on the ticket. MakeMytrip collected IRS 55505 from Federal Bank debit card. They have charged me extra IRS 5000/- on one way ticket for me and my wife. We do book tickets from travel agency. They issue their own travel itinerary on their company letterhead to cover up their commission.
On the same day prior to booking of this ticket, I tried to book online with Make My Trip. They have declared rate on their system IRS 50505 for 2 tickets one way to Dubai. After collecting my money from my Credit card, their system showed booking failed. Show fare is not available. Meantime their customer care person Mr. ** called me up on my mobile and explained to me - new rate is IRS 55505 will be applicable. I paid same and they issued ticket with the price IRS 50254/-. They have cheated me smartly, but they forgot to change the fare on the ticket. My question is, if they do not issue tickets on the online published fare on their system, why they are collecting money and refunding same later. If ticket is not available they must show either sold out or not available. I hope you take an action on this issue.

This has reference to our package tour planned through Makemytrip.com Reference ID **/Rishikesh + Uttaranchal package/10 to 19 May 2014. The trip was organized by your Holiday Expert Deepti **! As you are aware that our vehicle - 9-seater Tempo Traveller - had met with an accident on 15th May 2014 (11:30 am approx) due to negligence on the driver's part. You may please note details of the driver = Name of the driver is Dipak - ** and his boss's name is Jaqdish contact number **. Owing to this, all members of the family have faced various injuries, and in addition to this, we have face the following issues: 1) Multiple injuries of members, with immediate hospitalization locally at Haldwani city of couple of them - doctor reports available, 2) Loss/breakage of belongings, including mobile phone, 3) Unused rest of the package tour of 5 days - Jim Corbett and Mussoorie.
After discussion with the local Police and Hospitals, we were told that Tempo Traveller is reckoned to be unsafe for traveling to hilly areas such as Nainital and also that the drivers need to be locals for aptness of the hilly terrains. This information should have been shared with us by Makemytrip.com while booking the same. Also, the driver also fled from the scene.
In addition, we would also like for you to take necessary actions against the driver on SOS basis. I would also like to inform you that the accident occurred on 15th May on the way from Nainital to Corbett. Prior to this on 12th May, we had informed Jagdish the driver's boss and Deepti ** about the carelessness of the driver. The driver was not aware of even the hotel address of Nainital and it took us two additional hours to reach to our destination, which means we traveled for 14 hours from Rishikesh to Nainital which ideally should have taken 9-10 hours.
Still Deepti and Jagdish did not take any action and decided to keep the same driver. For this, I blame your employee totally for this mishap. If they had changed the driver (and they had three whole days to do this). Also after the accident occurred, there was absolutely no prompt response or assistance to help us. The whole family was in the hospital and I was coordinating to and fro with Deepti and Neha **, Sr Relationship Officer (Deepti's supervisor) and I must have made 20-30 calls to get them to do the work like hotel booking/air flight rescheduling.
I had to manage all of this, with my 4 year old daughter, whilst other family members were in the hospital. I felt totally harassed and helpless by the casual attitude of both Deepti, Neha and even Jagdish. They were not able to decipher the gravity of the situation and were taking things so lightly, that I had to call them every hour, because they were not giving feedback and I had to literally plead to get the flights rescheduled.
With respect to all of the above, we request you to please help us with the reimbursements of the rest of the package and also the hospital bills as we have been through enough trauma in the last 2 weeks post the accident. We have spent 2 lakhs for this tour and the whole episode was so horrifying. My family has suffered entirely on account of careless mistakes by your employees. Please treat this as urgent and we look forward to hear from you at the earliest. We have been following up since 15th May for this case and have got no resolution.

I wish to draw your attention to many deficiencies in service by your company in respect of the Booking ID**. Your sales staff is least interested in servicing paying customers once the payment is made. They simply toss matters to the back office team and take no ownership for sorting out issues. The sales person was very rude and condescending almost making us feel that she was doing a favor to us.
I had to send several reminders to your back office team for issuing the tour and train vouchers. Your person had falsely stated that the vouchers were sent by courier including providing me with a fake consignment number of Blue Dart, two days before commencement of the trip (I can share all mail correspondence/SMS if required). After repeated follow-ups the tickets were sent by air cargo (I had to spend Rs 3000 towards petrol, warehousing charges and toll) to pick up the Euro Rail vouchers. The mental agony and torture suffered by us a day before the journey is not something that we will ever wish.
Despite three reminders that we need vegetarian meals, this was not updated to the airline. Last night, while traveling from Venice to Dubai, no meals were provided as your company failed to inform the airline that we need veg meals. This is simply unacceptable. Going hungry for 8 hours all because your team goofed up. The hotel provided in Florence was seedy and in a very bad locality. The room was small and broken down which is unacceptable when three ladies are traveling. We have been your regular customers in the past. We will never use MakeMyTrip again for any of our vacations. Your team is not simply interested in servicing customers.

I called in to cancel flight tickets for my in-laws and the agent had no information what to do. He kept us on hold for the hrs and didn't look for alternative or work with the airlines. The airlines kept stating that they can provide alternative for missed flight if our travel agent called them right away. Both of them missed their flight and the agent said the only alternative is to cancel the entire two-way trip. MakeMyTrip is not worried about any legal proceedings or repercussions against them as they are territorially located outside the United States. The staff have no understanding of simple aviation rules. Waste of lots of time and money.

I called up make my trip on three different occasions to cancel my ticket. Every time I was given different cancelation charges. Amazing about this company how it operates. First time I asked to waive off my charges due to medical reasons; the staff told me to call up next day; which I totally understand being less information might be available at that time. Called up next day at 9:00 in the morning, was told that will find out and call you up later.
As call didn't come within stipulated time period, I called up to again check and was informed that it is not possible to waive off the charges which is fair enough. Then I asked to cancel the tickets with whatever charges; the lady put me on hold forever. Great! With this telephonic conversation with three staff members, I can easily make out that this company lacks professionalism. It is not the fault of the staff; it's just this company fails to provide sufficient knowledge to staff to carry out their work effectively. Unnecessary hassle for no reason. Anyways, I won't be getting tickets with this company anymore. I would rather try yatra.com or any other travel site.

The automated email response from their customer service, promises that they will call you in 48 hours, but they never do. Very hopeless. This is really a rubbish site. I am saying with 100% confirmation for god sake don't choose it. I took a package of Manali & gifted it to my parents. At the time of booking Makemytrip people said that All booking of hotel is confirm. And when my parents arrived at there, Hotel staff said that "no any room is empty, you have to shift in another hotel." All inclusion mentioned in voucher were not there, even welcome drink were not available. And when I called Makemytrip customer care she told that it not her mistake & start arguing & cut the phone call. Don't know why those people were doing like this. It seems take after paying the money your value will be Zero. Please don't choose this anytime.

I booked 3 round trip tickets between DEL-CDG for a trip starting from April 30 and ending in May 6, 2014. I payed over USD 2700 for these tickets on December 31, 2013. I did not receive the correct E-ticket for this payment. When the passengers reached the airport, they found out that their names were not on the passenger list. Upon contacting the MakeMyTrip customer service, they told me to contact the airlines. Upon contacting the airline (Emirates) on April 30, 2014, I was informed that the booking (for which I had made full payment to MakeMyTrip.com over 4 months before) was never ticketed and it was cancelled on April 30, 2014, including the connecting and return flights.
During this ordeal, I called the customer service several times - each time they put me on hold for 30 minutes. It seems that they never put any notes on my case since every time I called and a new person answered - he asked me for all the information from the beginning. I explained to the customer service that I was calling from outside the US and therefore, I have to pay extra money for the phone calls. But they never seem to care about it since they continued to put me on hold for several minutes.
One customer service rep named "Mr. **" was extremely rude - upon asking to speak to his supervisor, he put me on hold for a very long time until I disconnected. Since no e-ticket was issued and the booking was cancelled before I could do something with the booking, I must receive full refund for my payment. have contacted customer service by e-mail. It has been 1 month and I have not received any indication that they are going to resolve this case. It appears to be a case of fraud. Please advise on how to get my money back. I will never ever do business with MakeMyTrip. I wish I had read the consumer reports prior to booking my tickets.

We booked flights to New Delhi on Airflot through this site. One of us has some emergency and would like to return on an earlier date. We spoke to MMT and they said the did not have seats available on earlier days. Airflot told us that there are many seats available but they cannot change the flight for us since it was booked through MMT. We went back to MMT and they said that they cannot change the tickets but the airline can. Airline told us that they cannot process payment so we have to go through MMT. MMT promised to speak to the airline and call us back which they never did. Everytime we call MMT, we get a different agent and a different story. They lied to us without any qualms. The supervisors are never available to talk to and the agents are clueless as if they have never changed flights in the past. The agents would not give us their names because they know they are lying. The whole agency is a mess and all they want from you is your money with no accountability. I would be careful about buying tickets from them ever.

I booked in April a Combo ticket to the Andaman consisting of an air ticket and a 3 day stag in Silver Sand at havelock island. Arriving in Port Blair there were for 2 days no ferry tickets available due to a ferry failure and holidays available. I informed the hotel the first evening and had to look for another hotel in Port Blair. MakeMyTrip did not even refund a part of the hotel price. I am quite not used to such business manners.

I wish I had seen this earlier before I did my reservation with Makemytrip. I did the booking online with iNetBanking and as expected the money was debited real time. But it turned out that I had a family emergency and had to cancel my trip. The hotel reservation and airline tickets were *not* even booked when we called them to cancel the reservation. Every agent I spoke to had different story. Have made 4+ calls over the last 24 hours period, I don't have a resolution and there is no end in sight. In the end, it feels like I am losing the entire Rs. 37,000 to Makemytrip.
I am sure other people had better experience than I did, but then this is the last time I will ever use their site and won't recommend them to anyone especially if you want to cancel and get some refund. I plan to send a letter to Deep Kalra as well because he is paying someone named - Rajnish **,Chief Innovation and Customer Experience Officer - crores all for this kind of experience??? The most innovative thing they can do is start with making the customer happy. From an NPS score perspective, they will get a solid 0 from me and this is review is clear enough...

I booked round trip tickets through travel agent (MakeMyTrip.com) for my family to travel India. For several reasons (Bad weather, child health, traffic jam etc..), I couldn't make it to airport on time. I called travel agent (MakeMyTrip) and requested for next available date to travel and ready to pay penalty and fare difference. Agent says that dates can't be changed after no show and also money is not refundable. I am not asking not to refund the ticket/Money, I am requesting for date change.
I don't see "Date change is not possible after no show" in any form of agent communication during ticket booking. Agent knows that I am not informed about it. Agent claims that British Airways is not changing the dates so I can't do it. I don't know what is going on there... I am not able to talk to British Airways for the same reason because I booked ticket through agent. I requested Agent a lot and spend lot of time, but agent is not ready to help in any ways. I paid $3000+ for round ticket. Now I am not able to change travel dates and can't make use of the return ticket as well.

I had booked a one-way ticket from Mumbai to Chicago on Virgin Atlantic through Makemytrip.com in June 2013. I was offloaded by the airline and had to eventually fly with Air India. The Virgin Atlantic staff who offloaded me told me that I would get my refund as they were offloading me but it has been more than 3 months, maybe more than 30 mails to Makemytrip including a few to their CEO but still I have not received my refund. All they do is keep sending me mails asking more time. I wonder if this company is a scam since I have seen so many such complaints against them on this website here. Since it is listed on Nasdaq, I wonder if we could file a class action suit against them here in the US.

I booked a trip for my family to India on MakeMyTrip.com for $4,223. I have enclosed the receipt for the same. I tried the same itinerary in Kayak.com on the same evening. I got the lower fare for same schedule at $3,971.43. I contacted MakeMyTrip and lodged a complaint at lfgclaim@makemytrip.com, and enclosed both receipts. I got a response from the business the next day like below:
"Thank you for the details. We are happy to inform you that you are eligible for the lower fare guarantee claim. Kindly note that we have now initiated the refund of USD 252 to the same account which was used to make the reservation. Refund would reflect in your account within 7 working days or as per your bank's billing cycle. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Do write me for any further clarifications."
Now nearly after 5 weeks, I still did not get the refund.

I need someone to help me to get this issue resolved. I have booked a ticket to India on the dates Dec. 6 to Jan. 7 with MakeMyTrip. Due to some issues, I will not be able to travel on these dates. Currently there is one week left for my travel date. I have requested the travel agent to reschedule my dates and they said there is no seat available on the date which I requested. Also, I have asked them to reroute my ticket wherever there is seat but still they are not ready to do it and they said it is not allowed as per the policy. Please help me with this issue as my current travel is Dec. 6.

On 10/10/12, I tried to book a one-way ticket for SFO-Chennai on 12/31/12 via SIA (Singapore Airlines), and one ** answered the phone. After some bargaining, we settled at a price of $830.00. As I was a regular and loyal customer, they had all my particulars on record, and he only asked for my e-mail ID and credit card number. He booked the ticket and e-mailed the info to me.
I was shocked and was informed by the SIA people that I could not travel on the same. I desperately tried to contact ** for help, but the stock reply was that he was not available, and the others could not do anything to help me. After some personal e-mails to him, he finally came on the phone on 10/18/12 and offered to cancel the ticket. I had to accept, as there was no alternative for me. He canceled the ticket, costing me $600.00 as it was non-refundable, and booked a new one for 12/31 on the same SIA SFO-Chennai flight for $1,250.00, saying it was the price for that day - costing me another $420.00 over my original fare of $830.00. In all, I was at a total loss of $1,020.00 ($600 + $420) for their mistake of carelessly interchanging my first and last names.
As such, they are solely and squarely responsible, and I have been demanding a refund for the $1,020.00 in several complaints to them, but they have not responded. This is probably my worst experience with a travel agent and MakeMyTrip should be banned forthwith by the US government for its misdeeds. This company is a blot on the fair name of India too.

I already booked my ticket in MakeMyTrip.com for Kingfisher Airline for 10th March 2012 from Imphal to Delhi but I didn't receive any news or email from MakeMyTrip.com. I made an airline booking through Makemytrip.com for traveling from Cochin to Abu dhabi on 30.08.11. But as I was unable to travel on that day I went to the airline "Air India" to change my travel date and they changed my trvel date to 13.09.11 and issued the new ticket. Since my travel plans was getting extended again I had to cancel that booking and I cancelled my booking on 12.09.11. The airlines told me that I would get a refund of more than 220USD, the ticket fair was 239USD and for getting the refund they said I have to contact Makemytrip. When I contacted Makemytrip, through their live web chat service, they said my refund would be credited in 48hrs, but even after 96hrs there was no refund. So I contacted them again, now this time they said I have to pay some 75USD as cancellation penalty the rest they will refund.
Even though I refused this initially, I said okay and told them to refund the rest amount. After this also there was no refund even after a week. So I contacted them again , this time they told me to put a complaint through email to resolve the case. I did so but still were was no response for days. After a few days I received a mail saying that my case has been closed even-though I didn't get the refund.Today is 20.11.11 it has been more than two months since I cancelled my ticket. I contacted them numerous times. They still have not resolved my case. They have one of the worst customer support I have ever seen. They are saying some lame excuses and are not doing their job.

They misspelled my first name with the airline (Virgin Atlantic), and I have called Make My Trip numerous times to have this corrected. Every time, I got the excuse that the airline phone is busy or their website is down. They don't want to pay a 30-pounds fee to fix it, even though they made the mistake. My experience so far with them has been horrible.

Make My Trip is false advertising company. Every time you book a ticket, somebody always calls from their company and claims that their computer have some problem so your ticket is not confirmed. They will try to sell you higher price or they will charge your bank account or credit card and will not honor the ticket. You will wait for your money for 10 business days. It is fraud company. Do not do business with this company anymore. Minus credit rating. The system does not allow to put negative rating.

This company is a fraud. They charged my account and then they cancelled my ticket. Now, I have to wait for my money for the next 10 business days. People are so unprofessional. They should not be allowed to sell tickets in U.S.A. and Canada. Actually, this company should be shut down as soon as possible. My company rating is minus.

They double charge on my reservation. I have been contacting them for a refund. None of them sees the reservation in their system and they asked me to send my credit card statement. I have submitted three times and it never got resolved yet. They kept saying that they didn't receive it.

I purchased 3 E-tickets online, fully paid by credit card. The agent haven't send the paper tickets to me by mail. Until Mar 11-2001, my relatives went to the Houston (IAH) airport and the Delta airline couldn't find these tickets. When I call back to the agent, they just say sorry and refund my money back. They said that they can not give me all the ticket with the same prices. We do for a business but now we lost because we cannot meet that day.

Hi, we booked the ticket using one the Travel agent of MMT around four months back. We got the confirmation email and amount was charged on credit card (around US $2,100). A day before the travel date, we got a phone call saying the flight is not confirmed and they'll try to make us go using another date. That was so ridiculous. We had plans for the trip and because of their mistake; we had to change the plan. This happened to me for the first time. I traveled in 8-9 times (India-USA); we ignored silently their mistake for the first time.
While coming back, my daughter was sick, so we need to change the date. We paid an extra $300 and got confirmations from MMT again. This was last week, having all the confirmation documents and reservation number, my wife and daughter went to the airport. At that time, they have been told that there were no reservations made for that date. After arguing, contacting MMT, we have been told another stupid reason that the credit card charge has been denied. I asked the bank and they said MMT does not submit proper information while charging to the bank. This is a well known bank (CITI, Chase...). Again, MMT told that us they will confirm the flight within 2-3 days.
I feel this is total rip off and fraud. I am going to the consumer court and also filing lawsuit again this site. I have all the emails and names of the people from MakeMyTrip.com. We spent more than 12 hrs on phone while talking to Airlines and MMT. My 4 year old daughter got sick while waiting unnecessarily at airport, mental tensions and trauma.

A few years ago, I purchased a roundtrip airline ticket from a travel agent - MakeMyTrip.com. The agency is based in NYC and in Delhi and it specializes in airfares to India. I had used the travel agency in the past and I had a positive experience. This time around, the agency issued me a ticket, but the airline (Malaysian Airlines) did not recognize the booking.
On speaking to the airline, I was told that the agency had requested a reservation for me but the airline had told them that the flights were full and that they could not issue a ticket. I was unaware of this refusal at the time of the transaction. The agency had gone ahead and issued me a confirmed paper ticket. When I called the airline for reconfirmation 72 hours before the flight, I was told that I had no reservation. The agency issued me another ticket 5 days later. I did not want the ticket, but I was told that my money would not be refunded and my only choice was to accept that ticket.
I was not even given the option of getting a free ticket in the future. I was basically told, 'Take it or Leave it.' I took the ticket, but the flight I was on was with not as good an airline and with longer stopovers. I was forced to purchase something that I did not want and was not worth as much as I had paid for. I told the travel agency of the situation and asked them to compensate me (in full or in part, in cash or through a discounted ticket in the future) for the ticket. They refused.
I was flying to India to attend two weddings. I missed both. I am not entirely convinced that the airline should go scot free either. The implication would be that a person could have a tangible ticket in his hand with the airlines name on it, but the airline may refuse to recognize it. The airline is in the best position to correct the situation by setting up a reliable ticketing system.

My friend Praneshwar Sethupathy had booked a round trip airline ticket from Columbia, SC to Chennai, India on the website http://india.makemytrip.com/ 4 months back. He was booked with a confirmed seat by this travel agent in NorthWest Airlines, with the travel date of today (12/07/05)from Columbia via Amsterdam. The price paid through debit card was $1500. There was no communication either by the airlines or the agent in the last 4 months.
When he checked his itinary on the day of the departure, it said that the Flight on the Amsterdam to Chennai leg was out of service. When he contacted the makemytrip.com via phone, they said that the Northwest Airlines was to blame and if he went to the airport they (Northwest) would rectify the situation.
When he reached the Columbia Airport,the person at the NorthWest Airlines counter informed him that although he had a paper ticket(which was mailed to him by the travel agent), he could not board the airlines as the Amsterdam to Chennai leg of Northwest Airlines had been out of service for the last 1 month. According to her, a notice to this effect had been sent on Nov 5 2005 to all the Travel Agents and it was the responsibility of his Travel Agent (makemytrip) to inform him and reschedule his trip accordingly.
When Pranesh(my friend) contacted Makemytrip via phone, they said that they had failed to inform him in time (they were not even regretful) and all they could do was Refund the cost of the ticket. When Pranesh asked them if they could reserve another trip for him ASAP, they said he would have to pay an extra $800 in order to do so. When faced with this dilemma when he had to choose to pay $800 extra for a flight on 12/9/05 from Atlanta (not even from Columbia). He had planned for this trip 4 months in advance, taking leave from his place of work and had some important affairs to attend to in India during this trip. Thus there was literally no choice left with him.

Charged me exorbitant sum of money. Charged me around $1875 for a ticket which costs $1100
Promised me I would get milage on ticket. Charged me extra for that. After calling airlines, came to know the milage is not included in the ticket that was sold to me.
