    App which they developed is very buggy (faulty) and I have to pay more money cause of their messy app. There no option to negative otherwise I will give -5. And after searching other option found that we will get more discounted packages. Never use this app for bookings. It worst. You will frustrate once you do any booking. You cannot find your bookings in your trips section. ClearTrip, Yatra or other local service providers are best than this app. Others never gives false commitment.

    And customer care is very worst. They only make you fool every time you need to explain all situation to all executive. After 5 days conversation (every time I called them) I finally feel that they are only doing drama. Nothing else. And for cancel package now I am bearing 35% of total package (which is around 15000 to 16000) and it high for me. Instead good and discounted package I got loss and frustration. Now uninstalling app for self satisfaction. I cannot do anything other. Celebrity like Ranveer and Aliya should not promote fraud company like MMT. #Thiefmytrip #MakeMeTemper.

    Booking ID **. I had completed my onward flight and wanted to prepone my return flight, the app showed a refund amount of 42k while the ticket was 58k. I called the agent asked for the charges to prepone, and got a reply saying 28k plus price difference. Then I asked if the amount (42k) reflected in the app is genuine even after flying the onward flight and I was told it was genuine and the same amount will be refunded. I ended the conversation by saying I will go with cancelling through the app. I cancelled my flight on 3rd June.

    The refund was supposed to reach my account in 6-7 days which didn't happen. When I called to check the progress I was told the amount was not genuine and I'll get around 13k of refund. I raised the issue to the supervisor (spoken to around 2 or 3 of them) and was told I'll get the amount that was promised after validating the calls. I was told the issue will be resolved in 48hrs which then went to 24 hrs and still goes on with 24 hrs every time I call. It's been 15 days since I cancelled my flight, 12 days since I'm calling for the progress and all I hear is wait for 24 hrs, 24 hrs and another 24 hrs until 18th June. Really horrible service. Fake promises. Totally fed up calling everyday. Frustration is reaching limits. Can someone tell me how many more 24 hrs will I have to wait.

    Update: 19th June. The supervisor I spoke to says I won't get any refund and I will owe 2k as the onward fare charges were 61k and the validating team has refused to pay up the amount promised I. e 42k. Now what should I do. Firstly the team is making fake promises. Secondly they are not consistent on the refund amount which changes every now and then. This is MakeMyTrip which can also be termed as FakeMyTrip. Never believe these fakers.

    I had made flight & hotel bookings for my Kerala trip in May. I had booked Hotel Camp Noel in Munnar based on the high ratings at MMT and nice pictures of the resort. Unfortunately, it is so much inferior and the roads were JUST TERRIBLE. With the Rains, most of the roads were completely washed out and it was scary traveling through a deserted jungle area. Our Innova Car got stuck up multiple times and hotel person admitted that the access roads to the hotel were not OK and agreed for the cancellation of 2 rooms X 2 room night bookings through MMT (**). With 2 Senior citizen and 2 kids, I had to take a decision to return back after a horrible road journey of close to 12 hours (more than double the expected time).

    The phone & internet lines were poor & I tried to contact MMT many times during the day. The experience had been extremely pathetic and the service representatives' competency levels were absolutely poor and unacceptable. THEY HAD NO UNDERSTANDING OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. After KEEPING ME ON HOLD several times, I discussed with 3-4 persons and requested that they should book us in another hotel for 1 night in Central Munnar. Unfortunately, their understanding & decision making was so poor, they just ended up with stereotype message "We will discuss with seniors and call you back," which they NEVER DID. Every person requested for SOME TIME to process the refund & today After ALMOST ONE MONTH, I have NOT RECEIVED ANY REFUND NOR ANY CALLS.

    Is this the level of service offered by MMT? I must have purchased Lakhs of Rupees of service through MMT for myself, family and Organizations and this has been WORST experience. In general, I must say, MMT service is getting WORSE day by day and I have already switched over to competitor for future bookings. I expect an immediate reply else I need to take up the matter with Consumer forum, so that other travelers do not suffer such horrible experience and spoil their vacation like us.

    I urge MMT to immediately refund the hotel booking amount and compensate Rs. 10,000.- per person for spoiling the trip and wasting our valuable vacation time. If MMT management express the slightest doubt and fails to comply with these amounts, I will be compelled to contemplate a stronger action and for sure cause damages to the reputation of MMT and these would be much higher. Please let me have immediate reply on **.

    DO NOT BOOK CAB THRU MMT. You get an option of making full payment while booking and if you do that, your driver will not turn up as they have internal issue with payments. I booked the cab today and got 2 sms with different driver details. Both of them denied to come due to payment issue. My pick up is scheduled at 9.00 am tomorrow and right now at 12.26 am, I don't have any driver. Spoke to MMT team, they made call to driver and he confirmed in front of them but called a minute later and asked me to speak to them again as he wouldn't come. I called again and the guy said, "We are sitting and coordinating for you at this hour and driver will come." I asked them to cancel the booking, for which he said, "We will cancel the booking but you won't get any refund... company policy."

    Shubham and Ankit are the guys I spoke at MMT. I asked them to give me driver details so that I can speak to the driver and confirm if he is coming or not and I haven't received any details as of now. I am on call with them right now and my call is on hold since last 8 minutes. I asked the guy, "Until what time should I not sleep", he said, "We are coordinating with the team." Which means they have no driver who is ready to come tomorrow. And if at all someone is ready to come, what is the guarantee he is not going to trouble me on the way. Mine is a 5 hour journey and I have no trust on MMT. My mistake that I ignored the reviews. Pathetic is a very small word for this organization.

    Booked a ticket from us.makemytrip.com from SFO to BLR. Paid online and purchase is complete. MakeMyTrip Booking ID - **. Charged credit card. Booked on Monday, May 28th 2017 9:00 PM. Passenger was to travel on May 31st. Received email saying booking is complete and wait for another email tor e-tickets. No email was received. Called customer service twice on May 30th and by 1:00 pm the agent says he cannot issue ticket and Jet Airways cannot issue them. Was told money will be refunded in 72 hours. RIPOFF. Really and was in situation that we can't use money to buy alternative tickets. Not only that passenger couldn't travel. I have never seen in my 20 years of flying that the website confirms booking but cannot issue tickets. It is meaningless, never happened to me before with Expedia or other websites. SHAME on them. There should be a way to stop them from conducting business this way.

    I was traveling in the month of April from Male to my hometown Delhi by SpiceJet. Due to some technical issue the airline got delayed. Since I had to take another connecting flight from Delhi, so SpiceJet suggested me to take another flight and told me that they will refund the amount within 3 days, which they did before the time frame to the MakeMyTrip. This was done on 13th of April by SpiceJet to MakeMyTrip. It's been over one and half month the MakeMyTrip has not refunded my money back to the account which was used for payment.

    MakeMyTrip is just playing with the mails and every day asking me to share the bank statement and expecting me to see the branch personally and follow up with them, which would cost me 800$. Every time someone replies from MakeMyTrip, they just copy and paste the previous mails, don't even bother to check up on the concern. I am sure they are investing the customers money in some other way. I would suggest all my friends and viewers to be away from this fraud travel agent. Their service is pathetic.

    I made an international booking from Kolkata to Narita (Japan) using China Eastern on 12th March and paid a total sum of INR 204,825. I called up MakeMyTrip in early May about some assistance and was told that the flight has been rescheduled. To my utter surprise I never received the schedule change mail. Anyway I asked for the change and was told that my connecting flight was rescheduled so that instead of reaching in the afternoon I will now reach late evening at about 9 pm. My onward schedule of the whole group was in a mess so I decided to cancel the entire group booking. Two days later I received a call from MakeMyTrip that the tickets have been cancelled and that I will receive a full refund.

    Now it is twenty days past, I have been following up with them about the refund and they say they are chasing the airline. I fail to understand why and how they can hold on to my money like this. They keep telling me, "We are working on it". To my utters surprise now when I go to my account in MakeMyTrip I find that against my journey a refund of INR 134,201 has been initiated. Where is the balance??? No satisfactory answer for this. I am at a loss to understand how they can eat my money like this and still be in business. BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD. It is using the customer money and funding their business. Can we take up the matter with IATA, please advise.

    MMT - THE WORST TRAVEL COMPANY. I booked a package thru MMT. My interaction started with their travel specialist in the month of Dec 2016 for a travel date in May 2017. This is the worst experience of my life and would recommend people to avoid MMT for any package. No proper handover. Multiple people interacting & no one is aware of what is happening. Horrible customer service who makes you wait for a minimum 20 mins for any query to be answered. Visa team sucks big time as they collect the document a week before the travel and no proper communication. I had to follow up multiple times on when the visa would be done. MMT is filled with arrogant, poor communication and irresponsible people. I lost close to 1 lakh because of their irresponsible behavior and the worst thing is MMT reps DO NOT want to own up their mistake.

    This will not last too long MMT. You have lost one customer and I am sure if you continue to operate like this you will lose many more. People engage with companies like you to ensure they can travel without hassles but this trip has been the worst experience of our lives and sure many people have had similar experiences. I urge people to NOT use MMT if you want to have a good vacation.

    Pathetic Customer Service - We had booked a tour package from Hyd-Delhi-Mussoorie-Nainital and this package also included a cab for the entire tour. When we landed in Delhi, this cab was there to pick us up but the cab and its driver were not up to our expectations as it was not clean. We had in fact clearly mentioned in our "Car Service" request that "We are very specific for a clean vehicle and a very clean and professional driver".

    From the Delhi Airport we called Make My Trip and they asked me Who my Travel agent was and when I told them who it was they told me that he is not around and a call back would be arranged after an hour. I was taken aback at the lack of concern and the casualness at which my concern was being handled. I told them that I cannot wait for an hour with my kids in the parking lot of an Airport. At which I was told that a call back would be arranged in 30 minutes. So we waited but we never got any call back, so I called back and this some other executive picked up to whom I had to explain the entire issue again to which I was told that a call back will be arranged with the back end team.

    From these conversations with Make My Trip I was able to understand that Make My Trip has a "pathetic Customer service" and we decided to proceed with the cab provided to us as we could no longer wait in the extremely hot parking lot as the kids were getting restless. So we informed the driver that we would like him to drive us to Mussoorie and later we will talk to Make My Trip as we were not receiving any reply from them but the driver now was not willing drive us to Mussoorie unless he got a go ahead from his owner/manager for this one way trip. He drove us out of the airport as the his parking charges would increase but he kept stopping by the roadside to wait for the confirmation from his manager/owner and I was trying to reach Make My Trip with no success.

    In the meanwhile the driver suggested I talk to the cab coordinator (the go between the cab owner and Make My Trip) and when I spoke to him he also suggested that I talk to Make My Trip and later take a decision but I was not able to get through to Make My Trip and neither did I receive the promised call back from the back end team. In the end the driver spoke to his manager/owner and he said he will not able to drive us to Mussoorie as we might terminate his services after reaching there and he dropped at us at a Mall.

    So we decided to make our own arrangements and booked a cab through OLA and proceeded to Mussoorie and it was only at around 2 PM that I was able to get hold of an executive from Make My Trip and I was again told that a call back would be arranged which I only received at around 6 PM. And this executive, if I remember a RAVI something after listening to my concern said that they Make My Trip will not be able to provide a cab of our specifications and he also had the nerve to say that all cab drivers are not clean and if they are clean why would they be drivers and transport vehicles are not clean. He also said that Make My Trip will not be able to provide us the cab as he had cancelled the cab which was provided without Make My Trip's consent and I told him that it was Make My Trip which never called us back.

    So he said that he will get back to us and he called us back. He told us that Make My Trip was willing to give us 20000 for the entire cab expenses or will try and provide a cab for the rest of the trip and when I told him that the trip from Delhi to Mussoorie itself costed us 10000 he told that it was not their concern as we had cancelled the cab at our own accord. He literally took advantage of the situation in which we were and told us that Make My Trip will only try to arrange a cab for the rest of trip if I did not ask of reimbursement of the Delhi to Mussoorie trip and kept pushing me (it was a blackmail) to say that I will not ask for the reimbursement and also he wanted to send him a mail to this effect.

    I had no other option but to agree and send a mail saying that I will not ask for the reimbursement as I was told that Make My Trip will starting checking if they can provide the cab only after the receipt of the mail. Later he called me and told us that they are not able to provide us the cab for the rest of the trip as there are no cabs available in Delhi. I was surprised that a company like Make My Trip has no vendors in Mussoorie and that executive Ravi ** was also rude. When I wanted to talk to his superiors, he said that they do not talk to customers and it was their instructions that he was following. At the end of the call I told him categorically that I will first need to talk to his manager and it is only later that I will decide on status of the compensation.

    I have not received any call from Make My Trip after this and all this happened on the first day of my trip, i.e. the 6th of May 2017. I never expected this sort of customer service from an Organization like Make My Trip which prides itself in being able customize the trips as per the customer requirements were not able to arrange for cab. It was extremely pathetic and disappointing customer service from Make My Trip.

    Travel because am not sure I will opt MakeMyTrip for my any future holiday with this experience. My whole honeymoon was not at all pleasant. Day 3 Neil Island- We checked out at 10:00 am and driver left us at Bharatpur beach under scorching Sun. We were simply waiting until 2:30 pm under the Sun for driver to came and pick us. There was not any activity to do into the beach. We do not have any particular room or shade to wait in such a hot weather. My wife got sick due to the temperature and using public toilet at beach whole. She got infection and started vomiting. At that moment there was not anyone from MakeMyTrip to help or assist and due to poor network my mobile is also not working as am using Vodafone network.

    Then I hired an auto to bring my wife to nearest medical shop and get her some medicine and we were waiting at footpath with all luggage in our hand. Finally I borrowed mobile from a stranger and a called Mr Rajan and told him all the issue which we face then he sent a driver to pick us and drop in a hotel to get refresh for an hour. If we do not get that refreshment for an hour my wife might be fainted. I am currently staying in US and roam all around the world and never been experienced this kind of hospitality ever that on my honeymoon trip. It's not wrong to say MakeMyTrip spoiled my honeymoon as I will not bring any good memory from this holiday in spite of all the trouble from day 1.

    I clearly mentioned earlier that I want best accommodation with all respect starting from hotel booking to Cruise. For Cruise also I pay every time extra buck to upgrade my seat from premium (which is lower class) to Royal Class. I asked customization into my trip paid 58000 INR to get best accommodation which quite high compare to a normal trip for 4 days but in return I didn't get such accommodation.

    I travel a lot, internationally and around the US. I want to start off by saying that I know it is better, in the long run, to buy from the airlines. That being said I did not this time. I was trapped in Indonesia and needed a few tickets. Unfortunately I chose Make My Trip (MMT). My traveling companion did not get to go due to Visa issues. The seat next to me was sold on the planes. I requested a refund from MMT via phone. The company is based out of India and their "English" was anything but after several hours on the phone, I became fed up and disconnected. I attempted via email and was able to correspond somewhat.

    Make My Trip applied an amazing amount of deductions that brought the original ticket price of $1,300 to a refund of $620. I begrudgingly complied, what else I can do against an international company? MMT agrees to deposit the funds in 3-10 business days. That was almost 3 weeks ago. For the past 4 days they send me multiple emails a day requesting authorization to process my payment of $502!!! Over $100 less than what was originally agreed upon. At this rate I will get $20 next summer.

    I am writing this email with great disappointment.. I was fine all through the trip until I came to the Srinagar Airport only to realize that my relatives flight from Srinagar to Delhi was delayed by couple of hours that made them to miss the connecting flight at Delhi.. When I came to know the delay, I called up the customer service and requested them for rebooking the connecting flight since the jet airways told me that the booking was made by MakeMyTrip and the rebooking should be done only by MakeMyTrip. When I called at 9 this morning, Jet Airways said very clearly that all I had to pay is close to 18k for 5 passengers if they had to rebook the tickets for the 8 pm Flight.

    I had to call multiple times to Mr. ** and only to hear back from him that he had to wait to hear back from the airlines booking team. BY the time, I heard back from his manager at 12 noon, the cost went up and ended up requesting my relatives to book a fresh tickets from Delhi to Chennai that costed us 50k. Just because, I trusted you guys, I had to pay 50k. If I had done booking myself, I should have used a common sense to have a good break in Delhi knowing that the Jet flies from a different terminal.

    I also requested on April 4th to see on why MakeMyTrip booked tickets for my relatives with a very short break. MakeMyTrip folks blindly said that they couldn't get any availability on other flights. It is so funny that my relatives took the SpiceJet flight at Delhi (2:35 pm) which I would suppose MakeMyTrip should have booked at the first instance. Why one would book the connecting flight from Jet when you are flying from Srinagar to Delhi in SpiceJet??? These are the things MakeMyTrip should have considered while making booking for me. I have no idea on why these guys booked at Jet when there is a SpiceJet flight available at 2:35.

    Inspite of me calling multiple times from the airport, all I heard from him was just absurd responses. I was expecting MakeMyTrip reps to give me confidence rather they were very arrogant today. This is unacceptable after paying 3.5 lacs for a trip. Actually, me, my wife and my kids are good with flying back to Hyderabad but it was for my in-laws who are aged and their grandchildren who are 4 and 9 years respectively who are stranded at the Srinagar Airport with no clue since all the booking was done through me. I lost complete trust from my in-laws and it was shame for me to leave the young kids stranded in the airport for hours together.

    If I had not spoken to you guys, I could have managed talking to the airlines and made the rebooking with less penalty but I trusted you guys and it not only costed me 50k but also I lost trust from my family who insisted me to go through Cox and Kings but I made them to go for MakeMyTrip. I have made many travels myself but never been ditched like this before.. Please DONT DO ANY BOOKING from MakeMyTrip.

    Please don't book tickets thru MakeMyTrip. I booked train ticket through this MMT and suffered. While booking I selected the desired berth but after booking when I got the confirmation mail the berth's were completely changed. When I called them to ask, I got the response stating they are not responsible for it and asked me to contact IRCTC. The executive provided me the contact number of IRCTC which didn't work. Somehow I contacted IRCTC. They asked me to manage with the other passengers as nothing can be done now. Please directly book your tickets through IRCTC. Don't go for MMT as nothing is there in their hands and if something goes wrong they will blame the IRCTC. I used it for the first time and they failed to live up to the expectations. Overall a very very horrible experience.

    I write this to express my severe dissatisfaction with a recent trip that I took with MakeMyTrip.com to visit Kerala. We booked for a 2-night tour to visit Kerala, arriving in Cochin on 27/12/2016. The trip included pick-up from airport, Cochin sight-seeing, Alleppey Houseboat tour, and Kumarakom. All of the trip was tailor-made by MakeMyTrip according to our interests with a detailed itinerary. But I have to say that the driver went ahead with an itinerary of his own. And this is how the trip went downhill for me.

    First of all, it started with him postponing the Cochin sightseeing for a later date, saying that from 17.00 onwards there is nothing to see in the city. We listened to him and let him drop us early at the hotel after which we had the whole evening to ourselves without any plans. The next day he dropped us at the houseboat departure point in Alleppey, which had been booked previously. On the way he took us to some museums, which were not in the itinerary. Thus, making us pay huge amounts of money on things that were not listed in the trip. This too was out of his own free will, perhaps gathering him commissions for bringing in tourists (I was accompanied by my non-Indian husband).

    The next day when our houseboat trip was over and he had to pick us up from the location, he was late by almost an hour (his excuse was a flat tyre, which we had reasons to not believe) while we were standing waiting for him for ~1 hour in the heat at 34C. After that we were supposed to go to Kumarakom, which according to him was not a possibility (because Cochin still needed to be visited which he postponed saying the trip would remain unchanged!).

    We had an argument with him about this and he then asked us to pay him some more money if we wanted to go to Kumarakom!! At this point, we were really worried that he would charge us no matter what we said. When we insisted that Kumarakom was something we had planned long time back, he tried to convince us that we will miss our plane if we did Kumarakom and Cochin together.

    We took our chances and said we will do visit both places. But he still missed a lot of things in the itinerary, and maintained his stern stance of not caring. This was really very very annoying. Later on we visited some places after repeated coercion and still made it on time to the airport to catch our flight. Overall, the trip could have been much nicer without this guy hijacking the itinerary. Additionally as mentioned in the itinerary for the driver, we were supposed to be given water bottles on board which was never provided to us. These are only a few things that came to my notice. There could have been more anomalies on his part in the entire trip which are unknown to us.

    I expected the team at MakeMyTrip to take the firm measures to ensure that this kind of nuisance doesn't trouble future travelers who book a trip with them. But they could not resolve the matter even after repeated communication. Later on they furnished false facts where they claimed that there was no fault on the part of the driver. These facts somehow indicate instead that I'm the one presenting false facts. I wouldn't advise anyone in the future to buy tours with MakeMyTrip. I have learnt my lesson.

Both Spicejet and Jet Airways graciously agreed to make the small correction but makemytrip insisted that the ticket (one passenger) need to be rebooked and difference amount Rs 1956 has to be paid. They kept explaining the new rules and technicalities. Had a conference call with Jet airways. They also agreed but not makemytrip. Simply exploit the small spelling error! Many time I have noted suddenly at the moment of making the payment airfares suddenly go up by Rs 1000! Supposedly airlines suddenly increased the fare! It took me well over 2 hours, Rs 1956 and mental agony for just ONE spelling error. What a graceless, thankless service. I was a regular on makemytrip but feel disgusted and will not use the portal again.

I was keep on calling MakeMyTrip every day for 4 days and everyone says that they can see that I made the payment and I will get confirmation in next 24-48 hours. It was ongoing for 4 days and now someone said I will get a refund and I have to wait for another five days.     I booked my trip with MMT around year back, for Ooty, Mysore, Coorg. I joined the trip as well, but when I reached first destination i.e. Mysore, my wife could not cope with weather there, and we had to abort the trip and return back home. MMT advertises and encourages full refund for ppl who in advance pay money to them, in case of cancellation because of medical or any other emergencies. But In my case, these guys just paid mere 7.5 k back, and rest money they shamelessly said can't refund. Another strange thing I found is, they don't have any strict policy behind, making booking or making refunds, it just up to the person serving the request. Anybody who is going to use MMT for future trips, please beware and don't pay anything in advance, they’ll rob you.

    In spite of being a regular MMT user I am shocked to see the kind of response from them, rather no response to their customers. I booked a return ticket on the 24th night for travel dates 25 and 28 of March. When I realized that there was an error in the ticket on my email I immediately called the customer service number asking for help. After talking for 50 mins with the agent my call was disconnected at 0005hrs. To my surprise they were disconnecting all my calls from then (about 10 calls). I even tried from other numbers but they were not taking any calls. Finally I had no choice but to call the airline and cancel my ticket as I was travelling the next day.

    I called on the 25th and spoke to the agent to sort the return ticket for the 28th. Agent named Nupur promised to get back to me by today morning but in vain. It's 1600 hrs today and still no mail or call. Just want to warn people that they are only into making money and no service at all. If one has to call the airlines or hotels and sort things out then such companies should not be allowed to exist. I will take this to a higher level as there seems to be a glitch in their system and process due to which we as customers face the brunt. MakeMyTrip... you have just lost a customer and I am sure more will follow suit with the pathetic service provided by you.

    Fed up with these cheaters. I booked a flight for MUMBAI to GOA, I cancelled that and booked for some other date. At the time of booking they said I will get back my refund (TOTAL) within 3 business days. It's been more than 15 days still I haven't get any refund. After calling multiple times they say that "your complaint is in open status, our team will get back to you", which won't come. I will never book a ticket from MMT again. These kind of idiots should be punished strongly.

    MakeMyTrip customer service and rewards program - I had got a free night as I had booked 4 nights with them. However, for reasons beyond my control, I missed redeeming it (they didn't send me any sms reminding me either) and when I realized it and called them day after the expiry, they refused to help and when I escalated it to the supervisor, they kept the call on hold for fifteen minutes and then dropped the call. Pathetic way to treat a customer who must have made at least fifty bookings in the past decade. They will now be a last option for me.

    MakeMyTrip is the worst website for booking Holiday packages. I booked my Holiday package to Udaipur and specifically asked for hotel Jagat Niwas. Initially they said its ok and asked me to make the payment. Once the payment was made they changed my hotel details and I get to know about it when I arrived at Udaipur. We were told by our taxi driver that they have booked us into Fern hotel. When I spoke to their customer care, they started blaming me that I agreed on this hotel. I asked them to check their recordings but they kept on denying it. Finally after my trip and around 50 calls later, when they went through their recordings they admitted that I was right. When I asked for compensation nothing was offered to me. I strongly recommend people coming from foreign countries to not go through Makemytrip, as they will rob you in every possible way. They are quite expensive and their customer service is very pathetic.

    I am a frequent MakeMyTrip customer who until today enjoyed doing business with this agency. This was by far the worst experience I had and am absolutely disgusted with the way they treated me. I had purchased my destination ticket from Jaipur to Lucknow with the airlines, Air India. But I wanted to cancel this purchase since I had found a better offer with Jet Airways. So regarding this matter I first called the MakeMyTrip customer service line. They had told me that I would have to pay a cancellation fee of 340 rupees. What I didn't understand was that why I had to pay a single rupee when it hadn't even been an hour since I purchased my ticket and MakeMyTrip guaranteed a 24 hour free cancellation service.

    After arguing and the service being total **, they sent me to talk to Air India to see what they could do. But their service was worse. They said I would have to pay 2400 rupees if I wanted to cancel my ticket. This has gotten me more furious than I already was because it made no sense! I had literally made my ticket a few minutes ago! So what happened to the 24 hour guarantee I was promised? In the end both agencies said they would do nothing about my issue and put no effort whatsoever in satisfying my needs leaving me to write this review. So I just wanted to let ALL of you know that MakeMyTrip is a total scam and does not know how to deal with their customers. Never again will I even bother doing business with them.

    MakeMyTrip completely ruined my holidays at Singapore. I booked a package with MakeMyTrip. Just 10 hours before my travel I received a call from an customer service agent of the above company and he informed me that the hotel room which I booked in Singapore was unavailable and I was provided with another hotel and they assured it was a 3 star hotel.

    I traveled with my wife and 3 year old daughter. I was shocked to see the hotel when I arrived there and the Asian men who were around there in the hotel were looking at my wife like they have not seen any women in their life. Hope you have guessed the area now. Yes it was Thekka. Very nasty room and we had breakfast and went out. The hotel they initially booked were nearby and I decided to pop in and inquired about the vacancy. The receptionist informed me that the rooms were available. I was very much annoyed after hearing this. Had the travel agent come before me I would have spit on his face and slapped him. This is the way this travel company is operating. So be VERY VERY careful.

    MakeMyTrip is the worst travel agency which I ever faced. Guys try not to book any hotel through MakeMyTrip. I had a worst experience with MakeMyTrip. I had booked a hotel room from 04.01.2017 to 06.01.2017 at hotel New Vasantashram (near CST station) on urgency basis just before arriving CST station at around 10:05 PM from MakeMyTrip for my stay near station through mobile app and train onboard. The booking was done and I received confirmation message from MakeMyTrip. Also it is mentioned in SMS that I had to show this SMS at hotel. But the hotel person denied the booking saying two things: (1) Our room rent not that as booked at MakeMyTrip, and (2) I had to show printout booking copy for confirmation (mention: nobody carrying printer on train), also said that they didn't have my booking intimation from MakeMyTrip. All booking amount I lose.

    I agree with all the reviews before mine, and I wish I had read them before trusting Makemytrip. I had a similar problem with the site. I had booked a ticket from MMT on a Spicejet flight from Calcutta to Guwahati on 21 Dec 2016, and the flight timing was preponed by 5 hours (when I booked flight was supposed to leave at 6:20 PM, it was preponed to 1:20 PM). SpiceJet informed MMT about this changed time, and MMT failed to inform me at all: no email, no phone calls, no message, nothing. The ticket I printed from the site before boarding my flight had the incorrect flight time.

    As a result, when I showed up to the airport 3 hours before what I expected was my actual flight time, I was told that I had missed my flight. Spicejet informed me, and gave me proof, that they had told MMT of this change, and MMT had simply failed to inform me or update the information on its so-called automated ticketing system.

    I called up MMT and explained to them that I really needed to reach Guwahati to attend my friend's wedding, which I was about to miss entirely due to their error. They told me to book the earliest available flight and that they would reimburse me after investigating my case. I booked the earliest flight in consultation with MMT, and also asked them to reimburse me for one night's stay in Calcutta, for I had no place to stay, and they agreed. All of this ended up costing me nearly Rs 27K.

    Since then I've called and emailed MMT several times and all of my pleas for help have fallen on deaf ears. I've been put on long 50 mins, 70 mins hold several times, and then my calls have been abruptly cut. Later I've been told that my case has been closed because they "could not reach the customer" (patently untrue--they haven't called or emailed me once), and still later, I was told that my case simply didn't exist! This is a company of liars and deceivers and I urge everyone reading this to not trust MMT for your bookings. Book directly with the airlines, as they will keep you abreast of any change, unlike MMT, which can totally ruin all of your travel plans and add onerously to your expenses.

    MakeMyTrip is the worst travel agency which I ever HAD. Guys never ever book any Tour Package or any hotel through MakeMyTrip. I had a worst experience with MakeMyTrip. I had booked a hotel room from 28th Dec 2016 to 1st Jan 2016 (Greenwood Meadows) from MakeMyTrip for my goa trip. The booking was done in the month of September and the same day I received confirmation voucher twice from MakeMyTrip. 5 days ago my journey, I reconfirmed the same with MakeMyTrip to check whether my booking is confirmed or not and one of their customer support person informed me that "your booking is confirmed and you don't need to worry about that."

    But then when me and my husband reached goa on 28th Dec and went to the hotel for our check-in, for our surprise the person at the reception said "there is no booking from MakeMyTrip in your name." We were shocked. How could this be possible cause we have a confirmation voucher from MakeMyTrip and we even confirmed over the call with customer support.

    We called MakeMyTrip to confirm about the same and they said "your booking got bounced", but how the ** we will come to know whether the booking is bounced or not until we received any notification from MakeMyTrip nor we have received any call from MakeMyTrip indicating that booking was not confirmed. Out of frustration we shouted at them and said that we will take a legal action against them and their response was like "do whatever you want". After threatening them, they said "we will manage some other resort for you" and we had to wait for 2 hours till all these things got sorted. Our entire day got wasted. Such a bad customer service. Guys, whoever read this review, it is a indication for them not to go for MakeMyTrip.

    MakeMyTrip budget hotel domestic tie-up is done without any due diligence. I booked my Gujarat Trip through Aman ** and hotel in Somnath with name Madhuram was terrible. It had fungus on walls and bathroom. Also hotel in Dwarka called Sea View was very unclean and unhygienic.     I logged on MakeMyTrip.com website with my user login and password on 27th Dec to book 4 tickets from Chennai to Madurai. After selecting the flight and paying the money through NetBanking, the error message from MakeMyTrip website said that the transaction and booking could not be done due to internal errors (or something to that sort as I don't remember the exact words) AND it also said that they will credit 100Rs in my wallet to compensate my problems with the booking and that I can use that amount for future booking. As I had to book urgently as the fare was already double of what I paid last time, I made the booking thru Yatra.com with no hitches or delays.

    Today (30th Dec) when I looked at my bank statement online, I found the amount is debited by MakeMyTrip and by Yatra!! I called MakeMyTrip and they kept telling me that the booking was confirmed! I have to explain in detail that the webpage clearly mentioned booking cannot be completed and even gifted me Rs.100. After very long talk, the guy told me that they will check and call me after one day. I am worried that they will keep telling me the same that the booking was done properly and payment amount will be returned as is usual the case when we cancel flights, though in my case, the booking website was not functional.

    Is there a way to prove that such message appeared on my PC about booking not being done and Rs.100 credited to my wallet as a compensation etc.?? If I can retrieve these pages, I can file a case against MakeMyTrip causing me inconvenience and time loss haggling with them etc. I strongly recommend not to believe in their websites messages and CHECK if they charged you even though the website they could not complete the booking.

    Make My Trip has completely ruined our Dubai Trip Experience. And thanks for that. Below are the issues which were faced by us from the date of booking. We had done Dubai Trip booking on 7th of December for 4 Nights 5 Days (21st Dec - 25th Dec) through MakeMyTrip. We made full payment for trip by 8th December. In spite of making full payment they did not give us air tickets and travel vouchers till the last day. Only after continuous hours of calling at their customer care and sending emails to their executives we received e-tickets on 20th December one day before travel date.

    Going through tickets I found that they had made spelling mistake in passenger name while booking flight tickets (I had provided passport copy at time of booking). I had to again call executives and run after them to get it rectified. If this was not enough, We again got taste of MakeMyTrip service in Dubai also. 23rd December was booked for Desert Safari. And below things followed:

    There was delay in pick-up by 1 1/2 hours. Schedule pick-up time was 2:00 PM and pick-up was done at 3:30 PM. No message was passed that there would be delay in pickup. And we kept waiting for car at hotel reception. Travel Agent would say car will be there in 5 min and hang up. Our car was shared with other passengers at time of pick-up and drop. When it was a private transfer. At Desert Safari gate we were again made to wait for another one hour for 2nd car to come and take us inside. Due to late pick-up we did not get even 5 minutes of Dune Bashing and also missed sunset. We were again made to wait for 1 hour at Desert Safari gates for drop at hotel. Next day again we were made to wait 1 1/2 at reception for car to come and take us to Miracle Garden.

    This is the kind of service MakeMyTrip people provides to senior citizens. And on top of that MakeMyTrip (Senior Executive - Service Delivery) was more worried about his Travel Agent getting upset. As I was calling Travel Agent continuously. He blindly believes on statement given by Travel Agent and says nothing like this happened. It seems for (Senior Executive - Service Delivery) his Travel Agents are everything. If you are from middle class family and can't afford Dubai trip every year, I would suggest you don't go with MakeMyTrip. Thanks MMT for spoiling our once in a life trip.

    I wanted to book my Travel package (flight, transfers and tours) from Bangalore to Bangkok, Phuket and Krabi. Initially the customer service for very good, they sent all the details on time and once I paid my full amount. They did my flight reservation immediately, However they did not do my transfers and tours booking. They kept saying that I will get the details only 2 days before my travel. We were supposed to join another family traveling outside India, they needed to know our details so that we can plan our trip accordingly.

    However MakeMyTrip did not give any confirmation on other bookings despite making the payment in full. This cause a lot of difficulty in our tour planning. The travel agents do understand these issues, every time there is new person, and then the agent who helped earlier is not available, not sure if it is true or they are lying. It is really it a very bad customer experience.

    I have booked my Andaman Trip with MMT. The person who took my booking was Mr. **. While taking booking for 7th January 2017, he said that there is only one room on that day and hence go for one room. I am travelling with my 13 yrs and 8 yrs son and daughter respectively. While taking booking he said that we will give you one king size bed and one extra bed for your son. I went ahead with booking. As soon as payment was made, he started making excuse and saying that next day I will send the confirmation on king size bed.

    It's been now one and half month, Mr. ** is still making excuse and does not pick up my call. When I called up from unknown no., we had heated argument and now he says, "Get your booking cancelled and we will debit as per cancellation policy." So it means it is all blackmailing and fooling customer. I shall update you in due course of time, what and how do they treat customer and what action they take on such employee who fools customer.

    I have very bad experience with MakeMyTrip. They are not support the customer when customer actually need their help. My package include 1) two way flight booking from Chandigarh to Mumbai; 2)Sightseeing of Manali, Shimla and Chandigarh; 3) Hotel booking of Manali, Shimla and Chandigarh. My complaint is when I reached Chandigarh at Golden Plaza Hotel, my driver Sunil and his boss Baldeep ask for excess payment of Rs. 1500 for Chandigarh sightseeing. If I don't make the payment he refused for sightseeing.

    Actually I told them my package include everything. I shown my mail but still they refused for sightseeing. Even I also called MakeMyTrip guy Mr Punit ** who booked my package but he was not helping me. He cut my call and ignoring my call. I did call to customer care. They were asking mail. How do I mail while travelling? I was really helpless. I was also a cash crunch. Cash was not available at ATM. When new booking package time they were calling me again and again and when actually we need help while travelling they didn't ask or help.

    I checked Air India site only to find out my reservations were canceled. When I called AI they could not help me. I could not get through anyone at Make My Trip. When I did, two people hung up the phone because I could only deal with person who I worked with (Ankit). Make My Trip had obligation to notify me. My flights were fully paid 9 months in advance. I had a plan to visit Europe on December 4th with my friend. When I searched the details in Google, MakeMyTrip was the first option I found, and I send a query to them. Next day I received a call from a MakeMyTrip staff (Sudha ** | Holiday Expert, Mobile: **) and she send me the package details. Total cost for the trip was INR 1,88,000 and I paid the initial amount of 94000 Rs and send the passport photo copy as well. Holiday expert told me I will get a call from visa process team in few hours. I didn't receive any call from them for next 2 days.

    So I tried to reach them again and I got an update that my co-traveler's passport has an observation page so there may be a chance of visa rejection and she said if you're confident you can apply for the visa. There won't be any issue. So I thought of process the visa. As per Policy if observation page is there in Passport you cannot apply Schengen visa. It will get reject. But MakeMyTrip staff was not aware about that policy. After 2 days she called me back and said "we cannot process this because the Visa will get reject."

    SO I thought of update the visa first before the trip and I postponed my trip. But MakeMyTrip staff forced me to take the trip for January 14th and they offered the trip for same amount. After 2 days they called me back and said there is a slight change in total cost and it was 2,16.000 (Almost 28000 Extra). I didn't feel that it's a slight change, so I asked 1 day time to plan my trip as the support and response from MakeMyTrip was poor. Next day I send a mail to them for refund the amount. They said there won't be any deduction as the trip was not finalized. After 2 days I got a mail from MakeMyTrip... I was shocked!!! They deducted 41,996 Rs as penalty.

    When I called MakeMyTrip staff for inquiry and they denied whatever they said to me. I lost my cash and vacation only because of MakeMyTrip team unprofessional approach. I am planning to sue a legal case against them. I wasted my hour just arguing with them. They said "do whatever you want. This our policy." MakeMyTrip has to change their name as shylock finance. I never ever had such worst customer service. IT IS A GENUINE COMPLAINT.

    I had booked a refundable flight to Vienna from makemytrip.com. I was supposed to return on 7/10/16. However due to ill health of my father in law who had to be hospitalized as he was suffering from Dengue, I planned to return immediately. I tried to modify my booking and change the date to 29th Sept, 16. Since I could not modify my booking, I cancelled it. I got an email from makemytrip.com to confirm the cancellation. I confirmed on email immediately and also informed them that since I am in a foreign land with no access to phone, kindly cancel my ticket. I bought a new ticket and returned back on 29/9/16. When I called up the toll free no of makemytrip.com to know about my refund status, on 4/10/16, they said that they had not cancelled my ticket despite my email confirmation asking them to cancel. They pretended to have no idea about the cancellation.

    They harassed me for hours together transferring my calls to several people and I had to explain my situation to every new person my call was transferred to. They confirmed to cancel my ticket. Next day, I again called and they harassed me again. I had to explain the entire situation again and again but they were just not willing to cancel. My husband rang them again and again they harassed him for an hour and said that there would be no refund as so they are not cancelling the ticket. Still we requested them to cancel ad after repeated requests and around 7 calls harassing us every time they cancelled our ticket and mailed us an email that there will be no refund.

    I want to know why there will be no refund at all in a refundable ticket involving 6 flights. Then why did I purchase a refundable ticket? Why did they sell me a refundable ticket when I was supposed to get no refund? And why was I and my husband harassed so much. Being a professional, I was harassed and lost my time calling them so many times. I want a compensation for the refund as well as the harassment. Makemytrip is a fraud company. It has cheated me.

Today I received message and email told my flight bookings have been cancelled though I have not cancelled the same. I checked with INDIGO Airlines today to reconfirm the same and I am being told that "your flight bookings have been cancelled by the agent." My booking ID number is **.     MakeMyTrip is the worst experience I ever had. Although having so many collaborations with such big airlines they don't know even the status of the customers flight. Customer Care Supervisor (Vignesh) is a waste to talk with while he will blame the customer only but can't take the feedback. Rather than telling they don't communicate with airlines after booking flight for any purpose they will start blaming the customer, that for all refund procedures customer not only has to contact the airlines but also has to contact the site and this is not their fault that airlines didn't informed to the customer even after wasting customers one month.

    Then why the heck you people have tie ups if you can't co-ordinate with your airline partners mandatory for those purposes for which you are responsible only like refund and even don't know how to handle customers. Supervisor will start arguing and will give useless excuses which will not make any sense at all and all he will do is blame customer and airline people for not giving the update but can't take it as their fault as the customer who books flight with the site is their responsibility, not the airlines.

    Wasted my hour just arguing. It is not the customer's fault too that the site has a communication barrier with the airlines and they should realize if a customer books a flight from this site, so they have to take their responsibility also regarding any change or refund in the flight especially for the refund purpose if they are only responsible. I don't want to give even one star also because they aren't worth of that too but as it is mandatory field so I'm forced to give. I'm done with this site. Company which is irresponsible and with worst customer service ever been through, all I can say.

    We took a MMT European Bonanza trip (18th July 2015 - 30th July 2015) and spend a lot of amount on the travel itinerary. We were very dissatisfied with their service, also escalated our issues to them via emails/phone calls (but not even a single acknowledgement/response till date) which is a complete contrast to when they sell packages where they promise you the moon.

    List of concerns - Air flight delays/changes at the last minute, no prior information shared by MMT/travel agents. Travel itinerary was changed on adhoc basis. There was a flight delay from India due to which "Day 1" travel plan didn't happen as per the original itinerary. The revised travel plan was not shared with the passengers (day 1 moved to day 2) and most of the passengers were informed verbally about this change in the hotel reception lobby at Rome. Because of point no.1, less time was given to explore Italy ex - only 20 min given to cover Rome Colosseum. Only panoramic views were provided from coach. Also, only 45 min given to explore Leaning Tower of Pisa, reached the venue at 6:45 pm. A total hush hush affair. Reached destinations like Pisa when they were already closed.

    At dinner time, air conditioning was intentionally not switched on. Happened twice at Rome and Pisa. Temperature were in range of 35, and very discomforting for the passengers. Hotel stay in Rome and Pisa were not comfortable. Basic facilities like kettle, toothbrush, etc. were not provided. 3 star standards were not maintained. Travel time from Rome to Pisa is 4 hr 15 min, but it took 5 hrs 30 min to complete this travel. Welcome travel kits as promised were not given - selfie stick, etc. to few passengers as promised. Air flight delays/changes at the last minute (till the last day), no prior information shared. One of the key concerns of many passengers. As per the original schedule, Jungfraujoch was supposed to happen in the morning and Interlaken later. This schedule was also changed. We spend like 1 hr in Interlaken in morning and 2nd half in Jungfraujoch. Time spent at Interlaken was too less and total waste.

    On 26th July (Sunday), coach broke down around 11.30 am... approx 5 hrs wasted waiting for the new coach to arrive. Caused lot of inconvenience. Due to this the travel itinerary again changed due to which Brussels visit didn't happen as per the original itinerary. Paris (last destination) was supposed to be a 2 full day tour (city exploration & Disney), was compressed to one and half day only. In few hotel stays, WiFi was a paid facility (euro 8 per day), not free even in the hotel lobby, goes against the 3 star hotel standards. Though it was supposed to be a luxurious travel by coach, the toilets in the coach were never made accessible to the passengers. I would strongly recommend that "BE Aware" of their packages when you put your hard earned money on the table.

    This is a completely fraud company having inhumans with no sense of manners and fully commercial porters of D grade qualities with no idea of the meaning 'guests' amongst them. I went with my one and half year kid along with my wife for this group tour and made a horrible, pathetic and disgraceful experience. Still having nightmares for being involved. They don't even care to give you a family seat row in flight even knowing you carrying an infant and you have to pursue the airlines for arranging this in proper rows.

    They have porters rather than professionals to take care and these blunt-headed fools only know how to drag you and complete their syllabus within a stipulated time come over what may not at all bothered for individual families and treating in a commanding voice all through. No managers, only at the briefing time, you will be fortunate to see them once and for all and rest you have to be on your own. Like in Havelock, after such a hurricane tour my kid became sick and we have to catch an auto rickshaw by coordinating with the hotel's persons and rush to the hospital for a medical check-up and no trace of MMT guys were found.

    Low-cost hotel accommodation in Port Blair even after paying 87000 inr for the trip and most of the beautiful locations remained unrevealed due to their suppressing, like RED SKIN ISLAND, JOLLY BUOY ISLAND, etc. They will also not divulge about the beautiful places like NATURAL BRIDGE AND GLASS BOAT RIDING AT NEIL ISLAND for fetching money and will take you to all the normal boring places like submarine where you can't see anything. Even they came to know you are carrying a sick child, no signs of humanity will come from these bunch of monkeys and you have to identify and carry your luggage all through in every coastal jetty. Overall, everybody should be made alert about this group who are only sitting and displaying with the media to fetch money from guests.

    I have been a very loyal customer to Make My Trip and it was a big shock for me to see that they have changed my booking date. Now when I'm asking them to change my date cause it wasn't my mistake but system's mistake that it did show 7th Nov. 2016 to me and it booked 7th Dec. 2016. Now for date change they are asking me to pay around 2250 and 300 for convenience fee and air fare rates would be separate. Such a good way of taking money from people's pocket. A big round of applause for you guys who is not even ready to help inspite of calling so many times. I had booked round trip and they have goofed up by changing the month from 7th Nov. 2016 to 7th Dec. 2016. It is so not cool.

    I WILL NEVER BOOK FROM MAKE MY TRIP EVER AGAIN IN FUTURE AND WOULD LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT THESE PEOPLE ARE A BIG FRAUD. It is completely your system's fault and I have read all the complaints above and others have faced same problem as I have so it clearly indicates that there is some problem with the system. Believe it or not but bad mouth will affect your business. Even when I'm calling them they are saying manager is not on the floor, call later, I mean should you not keep one manager on the floor in shifts. Why do you guys say then 24/7 service.

    My booking ID for hotel East gate in Agra on 8/10/2016 **... I booked a 3 star room in hotel east gate and your policy states there's no need to confirm the booking with the hotelier or the website. And I trust you people and reach this hotel with 2 families and kids only to find out there's no room in the hotel for us at 11:30 pm in the night... And the hotelier had the audacity to take us and show some dingy room in an adjacent hotel. On much insistence I got rooms in a 2 star hotel, much substandard and not worth the money I paid for... The hotelier of east gate hotel says my deal was with MMT so go better ask MMT. They made me roam around agra for 1 hr to get a room and screwed up my holiday. MMT customer care said we'll be given complimentary breakfast (please check your voice record if you don't trust me).

    Assured me of complimentary breakfast and made us look like fools when the new hotelier (Apollo) refused any talk with MMT whereas your customer care told me about a breakfast deal I didn't ask for it. Now you screwed up my holiday and all I want is refund back the money that I didn't get service for (a room a/c in apollo costs 965/- according to your website... by the way the a/c was non functional)... Kudos to the MMT for managing a show to cheat people of their money... You guys better be in good coordination with your hoteliers rather than suggesting to the customer that it's their fault as your other customer care rep did...

    Dear #MakeMyTrip, #MakeMyTripCare. I booked my round trip air ticket from MakeMyTrip, from Bangkok to Indore and from Indore to Bangkok. After a few days I received an email from MakeMyTrip saying that the flight has been rescheduled and you can change your travel date free of charge, the email reads "NONEND/NONREF VALID ON AI REISSUE/DATE CHNGE FREE OF CHARGE/NOSHOW THB1500/ REFUND THB2000 DOMESTIC CHANGE-THB300"

    When I called customer care of MakeMyTrip to change my travel date they charged me around 3700 INR, despite the fact that ticket cost of new dates of travel is less than ticket cost of old date of travel. Ideally they should have refunded me some amount (or charge a little amount) but instead they overcharged me. Saying that we cannot consider the email that we sent you because of some technical issues.

    The customer care executive didn’t know her stuff and wasted total 50 minutes of mine on an ISD call (they don't have toll free number for international calls). When I asked for the explanation about the overcharging she was saying that either pay the amount right now using the credit card or wait for a few days and someone from their backend team will get back to me. I couldn’t wait for a few days as I have to fly in next 60 hours. So I ended up overpaying, she finally told me that someone will get back to me but no one called me. I booked from #MakeMyTrip thinking that I will have peace of mind because they are the player in Indian travel industry only to realize that I booked with this #LootMyTrip and ended up having pieces of mind. I want the charges to be recalculated, charge breakdown, and refund against the overpayment.

    My experience with Bus booking with MakeMyTrip is very bad. I made booking for Mumbai to Mahabaleshwar and it was done fine, but when I did return booking from Mahabaleshwar to Mumbai twice I made the booking and made payment through net banking. First time it said, "your booking could not be made, but the payment got debited." I thought let's try for second time. Again it showed that my money is debited, but no confirm booking. I have already made payment twice and the amount comes to Rs. 3600. Without booking any bus seat, I have my money with MakeMyTrip. Though it is saying it will be credited, but kind of harassment, time, money and frustration that MakeMyTrip is giving is horrifying. Would request you all not to make payment online for bus booking with MakeMyTrip. Bad experience.

    We cannot suffer for mistakes MMT does. Issue: I booked 2 tickets through MMT for 28 October 16. I called indigo up for rescheduling it to 22 October 16. They asked me to call MMT for refund related queries to my bank account. I then called MMT to proceed refund of Rs. 1400 Approx. and Rs 6667 for both the tickets to my account. MMT executive asked me to cancel my 28 October 16 booking through the website. I asked "will it affect my 22 October 16 journey??" She said "when you are not travelling on that date it has nothing to do with your current booking." I followed the steps told by her. She asked me to cancel my 28 October 16 booking. I got the mail for 28 October flight cancellation as discussed with her. After 4 hours I got a message from them that my 22 October 16 booking stands cancelled.

    Can Anyone tell me why the hell they have cancelled my 22 October 16 booking on their own when I have not ask for. Solutions by MMT: Their solutions since yesterday: Playing blame games with the customer. "Book another ticket for yourself." Wow. "We will be back in 24 hours." Its been more than that. No reply yet. Amazing. We did not get the update regarding rescheduling. I mean customers are fool asking you for rescheduling amount. Their executives do not find it important to check the reason behind any process. Telling us points which were not at all discussed on calls. These guys are filling their pockets making fool of customers by explaining them the PNR meanings, how re-scheduling actually works, coordination problem between them and indigo, explaining customers how things work.

    Dear concern, this has reference to my international travel ticket booked via Makemytrip.com. I purchased flight tickets of Air India from Delhi to Singapore. Travel dates: 25.08.2016 (Delhi-Singapore) and 22.09.2016 (Singapore-Delhi) via Makemytrip.com. Due to some medical reasons in the family, I needed to extend my stay in Singapore and suddenly the battle began. I was shocked with the insight this whole thing has brought to light. Thinking all would go as planned, I got my Singapore Visa extended, which happened in less than a day's time. Post which I tried to change the flight ticket return date from 22.09.2016 to any date between 21.10.2016 to 24.10.2016.

    Now my agony began. At the age of 65 years, I am being harassed to the core between Makemytrip.com and Air India. I was unable to proceed with the changes online and was asked to contact Makemytrip.com via an online message. So I called support number in Gurgaon, 0124-289 8747 and was on an IDD call for about 50 mins. from Singapore. The Singapore no. 800-101-3344 given on your website does not exist (wonder why it's still mentioned there).

    The call was answered by executive Deepak, who after taking all details confirmed to me that the ticket change is possible and that I need to make a payment of Rs. 5411 as penalty charges for change in date (Rs. 2705 per passenger) and also that there is no difference in fares for the changed date. He confirmed twice that post making the payment. The return travel date would be changed to 21st Oct. 2016. So I went ahead and confirmed all details with him twice and post confirmation, made the payment of the said amount. You can cross check in accounts and also hear the recorded call.

    Now, once everything was done, he suddenly tells me that since it took me some time to make the payment, the fare must have changed. Next, he tells me he is unable to get the fare from the airline and the fare must have changed and he will refund the amount I paid. I insisted that after confirming everything, how can he go back saying he will refund the amount of Rs. 5411, which I had anyways confirmed twice before making the payment.

    After a lot of argument, he finally transferred the call to his floor supervisor Mr. Deepak **. Now this gentleman tells me a new thing that the validity of my ticket is only One Month as the fare was booked in the lower economy class. I was shocked to hear this now as at the time of booking it nowhere said any such validity of One month. Nor is the same mentioned in my ticket (please have a look at any of the tickets issued by Makemytrip.com). Now he says that if I need to change the dates I need to pay an amount of Rs. 30788 for two passengers (me and my husband for a one-way return date change) as the validity is of one month. If this was the case, why was I charged Rs. 5411 in the first place and confirmed twice that there is no extra charge towards the date change for that date and the revised ticket amount of Rs. 47395 sent to me via email.

    I really don't understand where was it mentioned when I booked the ticket online that the validity of the ticket is of one month? If it was so, I would have given it a second thought before booking. No such choice is given at the time of booking. Makemytrip.com says it is one month and the same is fixed by Air India, so they can't do anything and you can speak to the airline directly. This is ridiculous. Why should I need to call them? I booked through Makemytrip.com and I was never informed about the validity of one month. If you are a medium through which we do the booking, it should be made clear to begin with. The site mentioned that it's a non-refundable ticket which I agree but there was no mention of any validity anywhere on the website nor on the ticket.

    Just to check if Air India is able to help, I did call them up too, but they directed me to makemytrip.com as the booking was done through your website. So once again it left me with no choice but to write to senior officials so that something can be done in this regard. Please note I am very Senior Doctor (just retired from Maulana Azad Medical College) and really didn't want to waste so much time over this if it didn't concern me and I didn't feel cheated. My husband is also a very Senior Doctor and I would like to request Makemytrip.com to acknowledge the fact that we are senior citizens, stop harassing us and do the needful at the earliest.

    Please honour what you commit and display on your website, or else we would be forced to approach the consumer court and Social Media and dissuade others from being a target for such kind of tactics employed by organizations like Makemytrip.com. My ticket details are: Booking ID: **. Current Date of Return Travel: 22.09.2016. Proposed date of Return Travel: 21.10.2016 (+ or 1 day). Please note I was confirmed that I need to only make a payment of Rs. 5411 towards the date change to 21.10.2016 and there are no other charges to be paid by me, post which I have made the payment which is reflecting in your system. I should not be expected to be penalised for a fault made by your agent. I am contactable on ** and my local contact no. here will be **. Hoping for a swift resolution to my grievance.

    My name is sujith, and I have booked 2 tickets through makemytrip on Aug 31st... but the dates entered are mistaken and unfortunately I had done the payment to makemytrip. And when I realised my fault the same day itself without that much delay I contacted the airlines team (indigo airlines), and they helped me out in cancelling the tickets, and assured me on goodwill basis they will refund the whole amount without any deduction, and the same will be send to makemytrip team, as I had booked the tickets through their online portal. And also I was asked to call the makemytrip team to get the ticket cancelled from their side also.

    I had done all the procedures as I was asked by the two concerned customer care team members of both INDIGO AND MAKEMYTRIP. And also I was told my makemytrip team that my refund is getting processed and it will reflect in my account within 05th of September... but they didn't kept the word, and again I was asked by makemytrip team to send them my bank statement for their clarification. I asked my bank and they provided the same, and I send it to them. Then they called me and told that the format in which I have send the bank statement is not understandable for them, and was asked to send it in pdf format. Again I called my bank and they send me another statement in pdf format after repeated request from my side. And I send the same in their attached pdf format. Again their other customer care staff called me and said that they haven't received the statement.

    Now also before writing this complaint, I send the same to their concerned portal. I don't know, whether these people are making us fool or not. I can attach the mail and sms from their side saying that the amount will be refunded back... but they are not keeping the word. Each and every time they are bringing with a new story for not refunding the amount. The mistake happened from my side by booking the ticket through makemytrip. I don't think that the makemytrip will refund the amount as they promised to me. Even the associated airlines cancelled the tickets and they assured me the full amount refund as they understood the mistake I have made.

    I have booked a package for Swiss Paris delight and at that time they take 20% price of package as a booking amount. Later on they told me regarding visa appointment and my visa was rejected. I asked them why my visa is rejected, they replied that they can't say anything and now my package is going to be cancelled and your booking amount will not be refunded. I said, "Why?" They replied, "That is our cancellation policy." I told them that these policy are one sided policy or disclaimers. This doesn't stand anywhere and if my visa was rejected and you are saying that this is not your fault, though even I'm saying the same that it is not my fault too, whatever the documents are required by you for visa I have sent you so why my visa is rejected that is your job. You are doing this for long time so you should know about the appropriate documents.

    They have not listen to me, and stick to "it's policy", then I said, "Ok then give me another package and adjust my amount there." But they again refuse. After a long discussion, they agree to refund me 14000 thousand instead of 44000 thousand. They mail me that your 30000 thousand will not be refunded by vendors. I told, "Ok then give me the details or receipt of my bookings of hotels and flight." But they refuse because they can't give me the proof.

    Secondly when I was booking my package they told me several times that please send a mail for GO AHEAD FOR THE PACKAGE only then we can go ahead, so why they have not asked me for a mail regarding CANCELLED MY PACKAGE, rather they are more interested to cancel my package and kept my money. This helps me to fight against their own cancellation policy where there is only if I cancel my package then it is applicable not they, and for cancellation I have not send any mail, and now I'm going to file a case in consumer forum for the same issue.

    We had made a booking on 1st August 2016 for Rome and Paris honeymoon trip with a payment of RS.102,915. Monika ** is the point of contact person for this process. She promised us that 7 working days are sufficient to get visa and hence we opted to travel on 24th August 2016 and then we applied for visa on 10th August 2016 with the help of vfs. We were really worried about visa and we requested Monika if in case we are not getting the visa can we postpone the travel dates to next month. Monika agreed to this and informed us that she will get back to us on the same. But we are very disappointed to see an email from Gargi ** (another ** involved in cheating us) stating that booking has been cancelled without a prior intimation.

    We were regularly in contact with Monika regarding our trip. She promised and convinced that the trip wouldn't be cancelled at any cost. I kept calling Monika and her only response was "tension math lo ho jayega, we are checking on other options for you guys". After marking n no. of emails and messages, Gargi and Monika called us on 23rd August. The way they responded was too disappointing. We made a call to VFS helpline on 29th August 2016 to check the status. The status still shows "Application has been forwarded to embassy". As per Monika, 7 working days would be more than enough to get a visa but now it's been more than 19 days and still we are at the same place. How can MakeMyTrip hire such illiterates for this position to deal with customers like us. Because of her misguidance we have lost our money of RS.102,915 and RS.13000 for Visa process. Is Monika going to refund or MakeMyTrip?

    Almost every day I am trying to reach her, no response at all. Her mobile is switched off. The entire MakeMyTrip is still not providing any update on this issue in-spite of dropping 100 emails. I tried reaching helpdesk n no. of times, but they end up with "We will get back to you on this." 1 lakh is a big amount for us and it is hard earned money. I have all the phone conversation of Monika whatever she promised us.

    I booked my return ticket from CHENNAI to NEW YORK on 2nd June, travel date 11th Aug and return on 30th Aug... MakeMyTrip issued E ticket, airline PNR **, E ticket No. **... The PNR no and E ticket no. are total fraud. Airlines informed me that my name, PNR, ticket no. are not in their list. But MakeMyTrip collected full amount of Rs. 64066. When contacted MakeMyTrip, they carelessly reply, "Your case is under consideration. Wait for 24 hours." Many many 24 hours had gone.

    MakeMyTrip purposely cheated me.

    MakeMyTrip customer support is very poor. I booked my ticket from India to go to US and back. I was given a customer support number in US. Now I want to change my date of return travel. When I contacted the customer support 1-800-4634210, the automated message says it only deal with MakeMyTrip ID starting with US whereas our ID is starting with IN. When I tried for chat mode I got the message that "You are first in the queue and average waiting time is 22 minutes. As I was desperate I waited for 22 minutes, but still the message said that "Searching for a customer support." After 5 minutes it says "No customer support available, try later!!!" This happened 3 times and am still trying to contact customer support. I made a mistake, never will go to this company for any booking.

    I booked one ticket from pune to Vijayawada (AP). MakeMyTrip sent an sms that its boarding time is 8:00 pm. I started from my home to pickup location but the bus was started 7:00 pm. I tried to reach makemytrip. They are responding properly. Their service too worst. I lost my money 1935 INR and I lost bus and money because of only MakeMyTrip. They did not inform me bus time was changed. They did not call me before I am call to them. I sent so many mails to them. They are saying everytime "sir please wait 24 hours. We will get back to you." Every day they are saying same. Even they did not call me to explain things.

    And I sent an email with full details which means attachments of bus ticket timing and e ticket but here they are saying "please see the mistake is from your side. Youre not there at 7:00 pm." In e ticket they did not mentioned anywhere without information. How I can know. In sms also they didn't mention. Worst people and worst service. Worst employees. Do not book any ticket through makemytrip. That is very fake. ** they pulling money from unknown people. I fully angry on them feeling so sad.     I made a flight booking thru MakeMyTrip.com in July 2016 for a trip to Singapore on JET Airways flight and paid full amount to makemytrip.com and received a confirmation of the amount received and the e-tickets will be emailed soon. I called Customer Service after one hour, the staff took the phone informed me that it will be issued in 4 hours time. I called again after 4 hours, the staff informed me that it will take 7 seven days to enquire and reply to this complain. I informed her the urgency of the matter and she advise she will take up the matter with the concerned department and get the ticket issued.

    Again I called MakeMyTrip.com and enquired about the ticket, the staff again has the same answer, it will be enquired and will reply with 7 days. Then I asked the staff that I wanted to talk to a supervisor. After holding half an hour, one of the supervisor took all the details and informed me that he will take it as priority and will issue the ticket soon. The supervisor confirmed to me that for any reason, if the ticket is not issued, it will be the responsibility of MakeMyTrip.com to issue the ticket, even if the flight cost is increased, as I have fully paid the ticket cost. He confirmed that the ticket will be issued.

    Next day, one of the staff called and informed that the ticket is not issued and the booking got cancelled. The reason for not issuing the ticket was "my name is too long". They cannot issue the ticket on that name. While booking the system accepted the name. So the ticket is not issued and the fare is increased. They told they can issue the ticket with a higher fare. I asked them to give refund of my money. They informed that I will get refund in 7 days time.

    Finally, I booked and get the ticket issued thru another Agency, for the same day, same flight, same AIRLINES, with same name, only the fare increased. Due to negligence of MakeMyTrip.com, I had to pay additional cost to book my ticket. The customer service staff answering the calls, does not know/understand the priority and importance of the matter, for any complaint they will tell it will be answered in 48 hours time, even if it is for travel or hotel booking within 10 hours or so. Very much disappointed with the service.

    My experience of booking international tickets Delhi to Boston was horrifying and rather eye opener the way customers are cheated. I find option of Delhi to Boston return tickets from 15-9-2016 to 5-10-16 for 58882 and I proceeded for booking and when I finally clicked for payment a message appeared at top of screen. Airline has revised fares for 23679. I again changed dates in same fare bracket and again this happened. Surprisingly after half an hour fare appearing was for 58780 and this was purely bluffing technique adopted by MakeMyTrip that when you finally click for payment fares are revised abruptly for higher amount.

    More astonishing fact that when I left MakeMyTrip site and gone to Skyscanner I find fare more less for 57000 and when I opted for a flight for same dates opted in MakeMyTrip site, I was shifted to Delta Airline site who confirmed my tickets for around 58000 rupees in dollars which I immediately booked. Really disgusting and annoying...

    This is the third time I am suffering from their fraud with me. When you need to change the date, they will send you to airline and airline sends back to MakeMyTrip saying, "you are not our direct customer," and "we don't take responsibility." So it's better to book directly with airline rather than booking through MakeMyTrip. Yes it takes little longer but at least they respond if any changes or cancellation. MakeMyTrip is the worst at customer service. I don't want to give them even 1 star but since selection is necessary - I gave them.

    These people's fraud. I booked a hotel through them on 14th July and I paid through my credit card. Then using those card details they deducted money twice. Yesterday I got call from my credit card company by saying that if I made 2 similar payments to Makemytrip or not. I was amazed and denied for it. My bank department suggested me to talk with billing department of Makemytrip before filing dispute.

    I did same and what these bastards gave me the reason that I booked 2 hotels at same day and same time. And as hotel booking dates has been gone so they can't refund my money. Now am in the process of filing dispute against this fraud with my credit card company and filing police complaint against this.     I called up MakeMyTrip customer service after coming across an offer for flights tickets from Kolkata to Phuket at INR 150000 less it was perhaps an unpardonable mistake from my end. The representative who answered my call said he can only assist the existing customer and there was no other option on the IVR to assist the new customer. When I inquired if there is a number to call on to check about making a booking the representative said there is none. The office is currently under process to be moved and that there is no number to call and no one to reach in order to make a booking. "The employees who look after the new customer are here and there" was the agent's words. So what sort of a company only deals with existing customer?? Once all your already booked customer have boarded their flights are you planning to shut down??

    Also he had no clue when would they be relocated and operations would resume. He also had no clue if the Kolkata to Phuket offer is still valid. Zero product knowledge and zero customer service. This was seriously some pathetic customer service I have come across in a long time. I would strongly recommend everyone not to enter business with MMT at any cost. Very disappointing.

    This was my first and worst experience with MakeMyTrip, I was not able to book online, so I had to go for offline through Makemytrip-agent. I did not get any discount shown on website, in my Case Price shown on website for my package was 9K, for 3 persons it should be 27K plus 8K discount/offer for online. But offline I had to pay, 52K no discount, almost double of what I expected with promise that package has been upgraded to better service/hotels.

    What I got for this high price was so bad service, first pickup-service, driver dropped us to wrong destination wrong hotel, after wasting 1.5 hours we reached correct hotel, which was actually very 3rd class hotel. (I don't know what do you provide for lower package.) Customer support was too poor. It took us almost 2 hours, to connect, explain and finally reach NO-CONCLUSION, they said we don't have choices, so we had to go ourselves out and book another hotel. It was another 3 star hotel, much better and with reasonable price, but our whole day was totally wasted, we could not go anywhere same day, it was already night and we were so tired. So we did practically nothing, just rest. Please stop selling packages if this is the level of service you provide. I tried to give my same honest feedback on their FB wall, but seems don't let it published. Sad.:)

Please refer the above Booking ID, which we received on 7th July 2016 when we booked the ticket from Bangalore to Phuket on Sat 9, July 2016 and Phuket to Bangalore 15, July 2016 through MakeMyTrip India Pvt Ltd. Note: When we arrived at Kempegowda International Airport, Bangalore with the print out of Booking confirmation which we received from MakeMyTrip (MMT), we were totally shocked to hear that there is no reservation. As a responsible company MMT should have informed us of any problem in issuing the ticket. Immediately we contacted MMT, but unfortunately was no proper response from MMT and we have to return back home. Because of MMT mistake we had suffered huge loss in terms of financial as well as personal as we had family gathering for 1 week and we already had hotel booking in Phuket.

    Now it is the duty of MMT to compensate the loss at least 70% of the booking amount. it was a total nightmare for my family. MMT should have made some other arrangements to accommodate 4 members. But nothing was done. Horrible experience with MMT. Irresponsible behavior regarding customer's concern. We had also received SMS alert for the payment received from MMT as soon as the payment transferred from my HDFC Credit Card account as soon as the payment was deducted from our Credit Card account. Also refer the discussion with Mr. Avik **, Ref No. **. Kindly arrange for the full refund of Booking amount Rs. 1,10,040.00 immediately. Hope MMT will understand our situation, and compensate the loss.

    Misleading/incorrect information was provided by assistant sales manager of MMT, Mr. Ravi **, during booking of tours. We (two ladies) have booked a group tour to Sri Lanka in March of this year. On reaching there, there was no sign of a group tour. The only two members of the so-called group were two of us. There was no response to a number of e-mails sent in this regard until the matter was referred to higher authorities. However, no indication of apologies or accepting the error.

    I made the mistake of booking another group tour for myself to Kashmir through Ravi **. I was told that there would be 30-40 persons in the group – travelling and sight seeing would be as a group and hotels would be different for different packages. When I reached Srinagar, I came to know that I was the only person for the package/itinerary given to me as a group tour. I was alone during the entire trip. Clarifications given by Ravi ** made no sense at all. I asked the management of MMT, “Does it make sense to leave a single lady alone for travelling and sightseeing in Kashmir.” In my opinion, people should at least think twice before booking a tour with MMT. They are least bothered after receiving payment. Moreover, if a person holding managerial position has no knowledge about the trips, what we can expect from junior staff of MMT. I would want as many people as possible to learn from mistakes made by me.

    We had travelled by MakeMyTrip to Leh on the 21st of May and returned by 29th May. It was one of the most horrible experiences we had. Ours was a flight only with a hotel at Delhi package which was booked under 2 booking ID's. One as a flight from Bangalore to Delhi return. The other was booked as a holiday package booked from Delhi to Leh and return on their chartered flight with one night stay in Delhi. The ordeal of booking was never ending with the bookings delayed so we could not get the hotels we wanted. A package that was promised and after payments were made, we were told that the hotels were no longer available so we will have to choose another one. Finally we reached Leh after making arrangements for stay on our own. The return flight from Delhi to Bangalore at 1:00 Pm was booked without baggage option and we were told we might have to pay per kg. So it was expected that we shell the amount.

    How can anyone be so stupid to think that the luggage would be left behind during vacation and we will be travelling with only hand baggage. That was not the end. On reaching the airport we realized that the agent booked us on 1:00 am flight from Delhi to Bangalore when our chartered flight from Leh to Delhi was 9:00 am in the morning. We were expected to travel from DELHI TO BANGALORE EVEN WITHOUT THEIR CHARTERED REACHING Delhi. Our repeated calls were shuttled from one department to another saying they are not responsible for it. We were stranded for 6hrs at the airport facing lots of mental stress and trying to get the issue resolved.

    Finally we did current booking paying an exorbitant amount from our pocket in spite of paying MakeMyTrip Lakhs of rupees for our holiday package and travelled home. We were told we would our money would be refunded once we provide the booking voucher and boarding cards. WE HAVE done the same but it's a month now that MakeMyTrip has not got back to us by mail or phone and neither refunded the money. The mental harassment and the torture have made our trip a nightmare. It should be called as MAKEMYTRIP A HELL AND NOT MAKEMYTRIP MEMORABLE.

I had at least 10 calls from MakeMyTrip customer support and every time they say "your refund have been initialized and will get in 72 hrs." But hearing this since 15 days... still not received.     Regarding south package finalized, I have completed my trip and sharing the experience. Regarding cab driver timing: it was mentioned in itinerary provided by MMT that cab would be available from 6 am to 10 pm, but driver informed that their timings are 9 am to 6 pm. Why there is disconnect between itinerary provided to customer and agreement between MMT and Vision Holidays Coimbatore for arranging cab facility to customer? This has created dissatisfaction and there is no transparency regarding what has been informed for happen and actually what has happened? It is clear case of cheating.

    Regarding resolution of customer queries during package trip: MMT has not provided dedicated number to us, and I have been trying from day 1 regarding cab facility dissatisfaction to MMT, and I have discussed my problem to 5-6 persons, but nobody has reverted to me for continuous 3 days. Person who is on trip and found such problems and even then takes 3 days for no resolution from MMT - think how this created dissatisfaction when we have paid all money and we are now helpless.

    Regarding cab driver: Cab driver has not guided us properly and even then there has been difference between the itinerary list available with them and itinerary list provided to us. Why there is no transparency as we have paid INR 55000 to MMT for all the itinerary but many spots has not been covered because of the following: cab driver has not same itinerary spots to be covered as was provided to us - no transparency and cheating.

    Cab driver has not guided us how much time to be spent at each place and we are under impression that all spots would be covered and due to this we are not able to cover below places: Namdroling Nyingmapa Monastery at Mysore, Avalanche Valley at Ooty, Mukerti National Park at Ooty, Bear Shola Falls at Kodaikanal, Kodaikanal Solar Observatory at Kodaikanal, Water Bird Sanctuary at Rameshwaram, Sea World Aquarium at Rameshwaram, Thirumalai Nayakar Mahal at Madurai, Koodal Azhagar Temple at Madurai, Thirupparamkunram Murugan Temple at Madurai.

    Cab driver has not behaved properly and sometimes they indirectly showed money minded nature and which ultimately created hot talks with driver and interestingly MMT has not provided dedicated number for giving at once resolution. We are not bound to provide lunch / dinner to cab driver and when at two times we have paid for lunch & tea for driver as per our wish. Driver behaved properly but at 3rd time, we have not paid for driver lunch, then driver becomes rude & this affects the atmosphere. Due to this I have got changed cab driver from Mr ** to Mr ** on 15th June.

    Regarding Hotels arrangement by MMT: Hotels arranged at Mysore, Ooty, Kodaikanal was very poor as there was foul smell, carpets / bed sheets / towels provided was very dirty, spiders coming in Ooty and in fact I had got changed the hotel in Ooty from La Flora Amberley Resort to Hotel Lake View on 14th June due to very bad experience after continuous phone chat with MMT for 89 minutes & 27 seconds from 10.16 pm to 11.46 pm on ** - think person going outside, how he felt when he is struggling for getting resolution in mid-night. I had to spend in Mysore due to MMT has not provided any resolution for continuous 3 days. In Kodaikanal, I have not been provided other hotel in-spite of discussion.

    Why is this happening to customer who has paid all money in advance and now left at mercy of God? If MMT deals in tourism package services, then it has to provide good service. Otherwise, this may affect its image very badly in the customer minds in spite of taking all money in advance. MMT has not called us taking initiative that how customer feels during package - whether any problems is facing. In fact MMT should call customer in advance and ask whether any problem is facing and should provide dedicated number for immediate resolution.

    My family faced the worst nightmare ever. My parents had booked the package NORTH EAST DELIGHT WITH LACHUNG-SUMMER SPECIAL (PREMIUM PACKAGE)-INDIA this tour cover Gangtok, Darjeeling and Lachung. First of all, the air tickets were mailed at the last moment. Though it was a premium package, the car hired for us was Trax i.e. the goods carrier vehicle. In spite of reminding the MakeMyTrip concerned person (no names) that amongst the travellers were parents aged 60 and also a 6 months old baby girl, he shouldn't have sent such a bad conditioned vehicle.

    Travelling from Gangtok to Lachung, the travel permit was not given to my parents which is risky. On the way the roads were blocked to landslides and my parents had to spent 14 hours in the vehicle with some unknown passengers. Whole night they spent in the car itself with no food and water supply. The baby was having breathing problems in the car, there was no medical facility available. Parents having blood pressure problems were not able to sleep due this critical condition. Everyone tried to reach MakeMyTrip team, but not a single person responded. My father had been hospitalised after the trip for 2 weeks. All the tourist attraction spots were boring and other spots covered by other travel agents were missed in our itinerary. I do not recommend this trip to anybody nor do I suggest to go through MakeMyTrip.

    We are still trying to lodge a customer complaint on their portal but no one taking any action and all the employees are just beating around the bush. Not a single person is concerned from their side, unlike the times they call you hundred times for the payment. Readers, please note there could have been a loss of life in this situation. Be careful and don't ever rely on MakeMyTrip.

    I visited Chail and booked Hotel Grand Sunset through MakeMyTrip App. I booked a total of 4 rooms however on reaching Chail after driving for about 7 hours all the way from Delhi, we were told by hotel that they had only 3 rooms left and they cannot do anything about the booking. I at that moment itself called customer care of MakeMyTrip and they assured to help me. Then I was placed on numerous calls with hotel owner who stays in Delhi and manages his hotel in Chail and finally after a lot of discussion and request from MakemyTrip and Hotel owner we agreed to manage in 3 rooms. We were told that the rest amount for one room will be refunded to us within 7 days. That wasn't enough, now the true story starts regarding refund.

    I called the customer care after 10 days and asked for my refund. They told me that 2030 is the amount for which they have initiated for refund and same would be credited to my account in 3 working days as there is TAT that they follow. After another 7 days, I called and I was told that the refund is still not approved by the finance department and they have escalated the issue and soon I would get my refund.

    After another 7 days, I called in to check the status of my claim and this time I make sure I message them on Facebook as well and after that within a day I got Rs101 as my claim settlement amount. I was so shocked to see Rs101 instead of that fact that I booked 4 Rooms for a total amount of 8800 and what they refund me for one room is Rs101. Worst experience and worst customer service. They have eat your money and won't give you room or flight as you booked and you will regret later. If you don't believe me go ahead and experience yourself.

    I just booked a 7 days and 6 Nights Package of Northeast with MakeMyTrip for 2 pax. They charged me 79K and promised to give a 3-star property. Everything was smooth till the money got credited to their account. Later I received confirmation mail and hotel confirmations. Return Flight that they provided was 1.25 pm from Bagdogra and we reached Mumbai by 8.30 pm in between a layover of 3 hrs at Delhi Airport which was waste of time. They didn't mentioned the same while booking, Temporary Itinerary showed a flight from Bagdogra to Mumbai. 3 nights were spent in Gangtok and they gave me Central Ninamma which is again one of the worst property with no proper food. I would say tasteless food.

    After repeated calls to MMT from Gangtok they just managed to change the room with somewhat better view and better space. But still with tasteless food and limited quantity (for calling themselves providing a Buffet dinner). So overall please don't book through MakeMyTrip. It's just waste of money for what they are committing.

    I made booking with MMT in Feb 2016 from Chennai San Francisco for my travel in the first week of May 2016 for me and my wife. I was not able to get my visa for that schedule. The ticket was to travel by Cathay Pacific. I made an online enquiry to reschedule my Trip. The site is so misleading, as though the Passenger can reschedule the date change by the passenger themselves. If you reach the page to reschedule, there it is mentioned that, date change can be made only contacting the MMT (The online chat is only for selling the ticket and for no other purpose).

    After several minutes of conversation, the MMT rep says, that the required dates are not available and therefore has to be cancelled and new booking has to be done in another airline (Etihad airways). The cancellation charge is about 19,000. I have already paid about Rs 1,40,000 for two tickets. I asked the rep whether this amount can be adjusted for the new booking. They said NO. The rep said the refund will be made only after 10 days in my Bank account. Hoping that will take place I paid another Rs 1,40,000 to buy us tickets. Then comes my ordeal to get the refund.

    After 7 working days (excluding the holidays) no refund was made. I called them by phone and also made escalation through email. The autoreply, every time it says, "the issue will be resolved in the next 7 days". 15 days gone, no refund. I made a call. They promised the refund will come within another 10 days. 30 days gone, no refund. I called and emailed. 40 days gone, no refund. I called them and emailed. Only after 45 days I got the refund. What a horrible experience! I request that anyone who would like to have a pleasant travel, NEVER book a ticket in MakeMyTrip.

    My second frustrating experience is in date change from USA. During my return journey from USA, again I was in need of date change in the new booking. I made an international call to MMT for date change. Dialing and waiting for the response through numerous call transfer really will test anyone's patience. It took nearly 45 minutes in phone to hear human voice. In the first call the MMT rep informed me that they are going to work out the fare difference for the new date and asked me to call back after 24 hours. I called the same number, and after another 40 minutes of waiting the MMT informed me that they cannot anything now and I have to contact the Airline directly.

    I also made an escalation in the complaint in my MMT account I have in the web portal. I told the MMT rep, that I pay service charge to MMT and why should I directly contact the airline. The MMT rep after a moment told me that she will call back to my USA number after working the fare difference. I made this kind of calls 3 times. But there was never call from MMT. I got only automated replies in my email that the issue will be solved within 7 days (4 such mails). I am pretty sure by this time that MMT will not help me. I contacted the Airline directly. In one telephone call of 5 minutes they rescheduled my date and I paid the fare difference (though very high). The reader must by this time should have learned the moral of the story: Never, ever go to MMT to book any ticket.

    I have had the worst experience ever booking with Makemytrip.com. This time it's for a hotel booking. As usual amount deducted from the account but booking not confirmed. Incorrect total displayed on the website. I receive an email stating booking confirmed but the hotel denied any booking. While escalating the issues to Makemytrip beware as the executives drop the call. Fortunately when I able to connect I was initially informed by the Makemytrip customer service executive that the booking has been confirmed however there was a system issue hence the confirmation ID was not sent across. The executive (Ms. **) then promised a call back with all the booking detail but I did not receive any call back. I called back the company and I was informed that the booking got cancelled by itself despite of me getting an email with the booking confirmation email. Booking ID: **.

    After insisting the call was then escalated to a supervisor Mr. Anupam ** who informed me that he would retry the booking from his seller team. After a long hold he returned back stating that the team did not answer the call. When I asked now what would be a solution to this he conveniently dropped the call and never called back. I am completely stranded with my money gone and no bookings done. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS!!!

    MakeMyTrip really sucks!! Booking through MakeMyTrip is more like "Make your own trip, but pay me for that." We had booked China package with MMT in May 2016 and it was a TERRIBLE experience. I would request or warn all the readers to not book with MMT. STAY AWAY from this travel arrangers. They are extremely unprofessional. Truthfully speaking their services are limited to taking money and it ends at that point later on. It is left to small tour operators which they engage in foreign counties. After this no customer care service works. There is no complaint cell where one can register his grievance or escalate the matter. I am giving day by day account of our trip in China. We paid initial amount and for next 50 days there was total silence from MMT. They woke up after we told them that it's high time they take action for our VISA. In fact some people in our group had their VISA delivered on day of travel!!

    When we asked for air and train tickets in China we were told it will be handed over by their partners in China but local tour operators never handed over the tickets. When we landed in airport...there were no pickup organized because tour guide was waiting at wrong terminal. So group of almost 28 tourists had to wait at Beijing airport for almost 2 ½ hrs. Two ladies who came alone from Calcutta via Bangkok had to take taxi and go to hotel and to their horror they were told by hotel reception that they don’t have booking in hotel. IN PUBLIC INTEREST - I WOULD LIKE TO SAY DO NOT GO WITH MAKEMYTRIP FOR YOUR TRAVEL SUPPORT.

    I booked a ticket to US with MakeMyTrip agent. He had promised cashback of Rs. 2000 per passenger. I am still waiting. I must have contacted MakeMyTrip at least 50-60 times each time holding the line for 1-2 hours. They say they will try to solve the problem, but don't get back to us. I am really tired of them. Beware folks, when they promise cashback. They may be doing that just to sell tickets. Also make sure if it's cashback to wallet account or to your bank account. There's a lot of difference. I feel like I am cheated by MakeMyTrip. Hope MakeMyTrip reads this and solves my problem.

    When I booked the ticket their website showed me a message that the ticket has not been confirmed and a customer service agent will contact me within 30 min. to update me. No one called me for 3 hours and when I called them I was told that the booking has been cancelled and the refund has been processed. No communication whatsoever about the cancellation. If I didn't call them I would have found this out at the bus station. They deducted them money and cannot refund for 48 hours. I don't have more money in my account and banks are closed now. I ended up cancelling my trip. Customer service is rude and worst. They didn't even apologize and transferred me to a number that nobody answered for 15 min when I asked to put me on to a manager. This is my second failed attempt to book a trip through your website. Worst experience and will never go back again.

    Make My Trip is not able to organize proper alliance with the Travel agents. Just completed 1 week trip (Kashmir) with my and my Co-brother family yesterday. The driver who was allocated to us for the last 2 days with really horrible. He was not switching on the AC regularly, claims some stupid reasons which were not acceptable and doesn't stops the vehicle whenever we want (for a instance my younger son was about to vomit but he didn't stop immediately... stopped after 5 minutes). He is having a serious attitude issue, where we ended-up with several heated arguments. So pls make sure you people don't end-up with this Driver.

    I've made a booking from Dubai to Cebu scheduled 21May and return 8June. Online booking was done successfully, confirmed and fixed. But since some urgent office stuff to finished, I called up the MakeMyTrip.com to re-schedule my flight and move the departure to 24thMay, and returned shall be the same. I've got a customer service representative in the name of Amandeep **, and initially he is assessing my request. But because he feels his shift is over, he is rushing up my transactions, and there we had miscommunication over phone. He is pretty rude enough trying to finish the transactions fast that even his words over-phone is not much clear to listen, which added up to our miscommunication. (Note: if this comments won't satisfy your reviews, you may listen up your recorded call and you know how this agent deliver a service to your customer which is myself.)

    So sad to say, this transaction has not been completed before leaving my office. While I'm on the process of billing through online, He drop off the call and put my transactions on hold. At night when I reached home, I continue calling your customer service again and there I got another one who completed my request and do the re-scheduling of flights, Though he is not much efficient, but he did a great job to assist. With this incident, I therefore conclude that MakeMyTrip management has to review your agents' characters and ensure they have good moral values and always treat your customer with respect at all times. I do hope this won't repeat in future.

    Let me start by saying that this is the worst company to deal with, and I believe I did the biggest mistake by booking my tickets through them. I had booked tickets for last year and due to death in the family, I had to cancel my trip. Everybody refunded my expense (hotel, other united flight), but MakeMyTrip was not only didn't care but also refused to make anything easier for me.

    When I called them to rebook, it took me 1 hour every time to get to them and every time they would disconnect the call or tell me that they will call me, and I would never get any call! I was able to connect one time after 15 days of trying and they said the fare difference is 1800 dollars! I was getting a new ticket for same route for 1000 dollars, so I decided to buy that, and now I am trying to rebook my ticket, but 5 times they have told me that they will call me back as they are not able to look at the fares, and I never get any call back.

    Customer Service reps are not only rude but also extremely unhelpful. Tears well up in my eyes when I have to think about dealing with MMT. If I could warn everyone from top of a roof then I would to not book anything through this company. It is so much easier to book directly from airline. If my call gets through then they say the fare is not available and after 2 weeks, my rebooking date will be past. I could have donated these 2000 dollars instead of booking something through this company! Stay away guys and I wish I could get some of my money back!

    I booked this hotel for a family of four for 25th and 26th December 2015. They made the booking through MakeMyTrip portal showing a family suite of four available. On reaching the hotel on 25th December we found that family suite is not at all present in the hotel and they were trying to offer two room wherein our objective was to stay together. On checking the rooms, they were filthiest we had ever witnessed and employees were telling "yahn koi nhi rehta hai, aap kaise aa gye. Hum bhi yehi chhte hain ki aap yahan se chale jaein."

    It was chilling cold and we had to find a new hotel at the earliest as few old members were there in our family as well. Hotel guy refused to refund as booking was made online. We went out of that place and somehow with difficulty we found another hotel. In spite of continuous escalations MakeMyTrip didn't process our refund. We kept on telling their difficult to connect customer care that we didn't get what was committed on your site and they kept on telling us, "we have escalated." Horrible.

    I am quoting a complaint number given to me by the call centre of MMT. The number is - Reference ID **. I was promised a response within 24 hours. Simultaneously, one Mr. ** promised to call within 72 hours. Now it is more than 45 days. No one has contacted. My reminder mails have been ignored. The best happened today when I received an unsolicited call from MMT seeking my review. The number was **. A woman without identifying herself sought feedback on services of MMT. In response to the very first question where the rating was to be done on a scale of 1 to 10, I inquired if the rating could be done at zero. Immediately, the woman hung up.

    The above has convinced me that the business ethics of MMT are suspect, their processes spurious and customer unfriendly. Once I am through with some work in hand, I intend to take them to consumer forum and write on all possible social forum exposing their business ethics. They have already lost around 70 persons going to Kashmir who checked up with me. They have, obviously, lost me and my family as the customers for all times to come.

    I was visiting India and my wife and I decided to go to Kashmir for 4 days. I booked a tour including airline ticket, hotel and sightseeing through makemytrip.com. Right after I booked the trip there were news of student disturbance in Srinagar and I tried to cancel my tour. I was told that I could get only 17,000 back from my 63,000+ I paid. In the next few days the situation in Kashmir improved and we decided to go there. I had paid for the trip and their email informing me that the trip was confirmed. After that I tried to call them, sent emails and left messages but no one including the supervisors will send me the details of the driver to pick us up at Srinagar, hotel coupons or detailed itinerary. Once we reached Srinagar it was realized that my phone with SIM from Delhi will not work in Kashmir. The J&K police officer at the airport helped us to contact MakeMyTrip and got our itinerary. Without that help we would have been stranded not knowing where to go.

    We had paid for 5 star hotels but the hotel in Srinagar was clearly not a five-star hotel but not that bad. The Grand Mumtaz in Pahalgam was a dump. The commode leaked water to the floor, there were cockroaches in the room and bed sheets were very dirty. Upon our return to Gurgaon I tried to call to complain but same story no one returned my calls. I feel that MakeMyTrip people have cheated us by promising 5 star accommodation and providing one star hotel in Pahalgam. Putting us through lot of stress by not communicating the details of the trip and providing lousy service. I had filled their survey they sent but no one contacted me about my complain and I was not surprised. Based on the TV ads I used to think that it was a good company to deal with but now I understand that I should not believe their propaganda.

    I have recently booked an International flight ticket for my Family, with it my wife and my kid (14 months) traveling to Germany. While booking the Air ticket in Makemytrip.com, the MakeMyTrip website was not allowing me to enter more than 30 characters of name (first and last name of my spouse and kid), hence I had to short the last name of my Infant. I had mentioned it as ** instead ** (as per passport). Later I came to know that the passenger names should be according to passport otherwise the Airlines will not allow to check-in. I called to Lufthansa and requested them to add two more letter "GU" in last name of Infant. They said that either they or me authorized to do so, but it has to be done from MakeMyTrip. They proposed two solutions such as either add the missing letters in name or mention the comments in remarks column that "the name has to be read as per passport".

    I live in Germany. I had called to MakeMyTrip customer care from here and spend three days about 2 hours over phone to solve this issue. I have called 6 times and spoke to 6 different people. Few of them said straight away that the name change cannot be done and I have to cancel and rebook the ticket with penalties. What is this nonsense? Their system does not allow me to enter complete name and why I have to cancel the ticket and rebook it with penalties? Finally one girl from MakeMyTrip customer care clarified by calling to Lufthansa that since the Infant does not occupy seat in Flight, there will not be any issue with name. Then again I called to Lufthansa and they clarified me the same.

    I had also raised the Complaint and they closed the ticket after two days, by mentioning comment that the name change cannot be done and I have to cancel the ticket and rebook it with correct. Is there any sense in this answer? First time itself, the system did not allow me to enter more than 30 characters of name and how the second time it will get accept me to enter? I had been using MakeMyTrip since many years. Now I personally suggest, please do not use MakeMyTrip website. The issues will not get solved soon and at all. This is the way they respond to the complaints and calls. I will not use this website any more in my life.

    Wasted 4 hours of my day trying to book an air trip. First one failed but they debited my bank account. Then made me wait an hour and a half to confirm that they would issue a refund. Make a second booking, same deal. This time I had to wait 2 hours to get a refund confirmation. After several days, I receive a refund that's short over 1200 bucks! Another hour spent trying to correct this. I think this company has grown too fast and can't keep up with its business. The "complaints" button on their website DOESN'T WORK!!! That should tell you a thing or two about them. Don't waste your time - do what I did: go directly to the airline website and book your tickets.

    I booked a bus service called New Shatabdi Bus Service via MMT from Lucknow to Delhi. They have shown three boarding points in Lucknow. I selected the Gomti Nagar Polytechnic. But on the travelling day, I called the driver and they told me that there is only one boarding point for that bus and that's from Amausi Airport. I was about to miss my bus. It's very disappointing that they show wrong boarding points. Not going to use MMT ever in life.

    I booked a ticket to Kochin on 3 May for dep on 10 May. Tried to cancel but they deducted 95% of the amount where is the airline itself was deducting only 55% of the amount. So next time if you ever want to fly domestic or international then book directly with airline because MakeMyTrip is a big cheat and a has a very unprofessional call center service who just know to wash hands. There will be zero assistance from their end once you buy the ticket from them.

    I booked an international air ticket with MakeMyTrip.com. I wanted to change the date of the return trip, so I called customer service on Apr. 28, 2016. Customer service gave me the fare difference, penalty and the trip fees I would have to pay to make the change. I confirmed the dates with my family and tried calling MakeMyTrip back to make the change. I was put on hold 3 times for up to 30 mins. and never managed to make the change the next day. When I was finally able to get through to them, I was told that the fare difference was now 3 times the original amount - all this because of the pathetic poor customer service they have in place. I have now paid 3 times the money from my own pocket because of the poorly staffed poorly trained customer service staff. I would have been much better off booking with the airline directly... Lesson learnt for next time.

    I have booked 4D 3N holiday package from MMT. Package booked and MMT take 50% of booking amount. And remaining amount 1 week before start of trip. When I call & mail for ticket, they said "You received before 3 day before start", but they don't send me tickets. I continued following but most of the time my call disconnect, that "This is not a concern dept. We transferring your call." After that they cut. Finally I found flight tickets before 3 hrs of boarding. The hotel they book for me was not so good as they charge. Finally I just want to say to persons who are reading this...     I am here to submit an extremely unpleasant experience that I had with MakeMyTrip recently. Living in Sydney Australia, I had invited my parents over a few months. They are both 70+ which means any kind of travel for them needs to be seamlessly managed which I thought MakeMyTrip will do. Their return flight was Sydney-Kuala Lumpur and then Kuala Lumpur - Mumbai on the 9th of January 2016. They were (according to their original itinerary) supposed to reach Kuala lumpur at 3:30 Am local time and the connecting flight from there to Mumbai was at 9AM which was a 5 and a half hour wait.

    2 days before the flight I was told that the KL-Mumbai flight that was originally supposed to depart at 9AM was no longer in operation and they had been automatically booked into a flight at 11:30 PM!!! This meant the wait period for them at Kuala Lumpur would be 20 hours!! Now the first thing that came to mind was why were we told so late about this and don't they look at passenger age before giving such wonderful travel changes at the last minute.

    I booked them into a transit hotel (Sama sama) at Kuala Lumpur airport for 15 hours. Obviously had to pay for the hotel charges for no reason at all. There my parents met another elderly couple who had been given the hotel stay by their airline agent because the travel wait was in excess of 12 hours. It had not happened automatically in the case of my parents. After I got home after dropping my parents at Sydney airport I got on to the phone with MakeMyTrip asking for reimbursement of the charges that I paid for the transit hotel booking at Kuala Lumpur airport.

    I had absolutely no clue what was to happen to me in dealing with them. The first call went on and on and they read me the rules when they reimburse and all of them were in my favour. The manager assured me he will look into it and will get it reimbursed. From that point it was chaos galore. They never got back to me until I called again, this time there was a new guy on the phone so here I was explaining the full story to him again... and I get the same response, "We will get back to you in 48 hours..."

    I was also asked to write to Malaysian airlines which I did keeping MakeMyTrip in 'cc' on that email. It was apparently 48 hours from there that someone was to get back tome. I think at a 100 of such 48 hours have gone by but no one at MakeMyTrip has got back to me. Then I called at least 4-5 times and every time the same thing happened. The original so-called manager did not bother calling me back or responding to any emails that I sent.

    Just 2 days ago I got an email from MakeMyTrip which said, "We tried contacting you but could not, hence we are closing the case." I mean, man give me a break. "Closing the case", how can a customers case be closed if it was never handled and no communication happened to the customer. There was only communication from the customer.

    I would sincerely urge people out there to read my experience and think twice about making their travel plans with MakeMyTrip. The customer service is not up to the mark, people seem less connected with the customer let alone solving the customer issues. The manager never got back to me after the initial bit a heroic discussion that he had. He was always busy on calls whenever I insisted on speaking to him. I have all documents and proofs of my emails etc. with MakeMyTrip with me.

    I had booked package trip from Bangalore-Varanasi-Delhi-Haridwar-rishikesh-delhi-Bangalore. First leg between Bangalore-Varanisi-Delhi was good. The real problem started when we landed Delhi. The taxi driver had vanished from airport without any information and we had to struggle with make my trip for 2 hours to get a new vehicle. When new vehicle arrived at airport, it was a nightmare experience for us. The driver was most arrogant and behaving like a third rate goonda. I was accompanying my aged parents with me and his behaviour towards them was unacceptable. MakeMyTrip had assigned the vehicle from a local taxi stand and not from reputed travels. I had to fight my case with the driver and had to threaten him with police complaint for his behaviour.

    Nobody from MakeMyTrip even talked to us throughout the trip even though they were aware of the problem we had on arrival from Varanasi. Only one person Mr. ** from the agency called me few times to check on us. We had to deal with this bad driver for 5 full days and after spending 2 lakhs, I feel it was a waste of time and money. Till now no one from MakeMyTrip has asked for any sort of feedback from me. I will never use MakeMyTrip again and also will never recommend to anybody from my side.

    I paid INR 56000, to book ticket for my son who is a student in Australia to fly from Brisbane to New Delhi due to a family emergency. Ticket was booked by an offline makemytrip agent on phone. We had supplied the correct name of my son as per the passport i.e. Firstname:Tanbir ** and Lastname: Blank. But Makemytrip agent insisted that this ticket will be booked by repeating firstname and lastname twice with Tanbir ** as he cannot proceed with booking if he leaves lastname blank. He went on and booked the ticket, but my son was refused to board the flight from Brisbane as the names on passport and ticket do not match.

    We chased up with Makemytrip on the day and till today to get a refund, but they do not seem to care. My son wasn't able to board the flight because of makemytrip agent's fault. But makemytrip, is not bothered to return my call. Everytime I call they log a ticket and say someone will revert back in 24 hours, but no one has bothered calling back. I have full details of all calls I made with reference numbers. If anyone could be able to help me get this refund, it will be highly appreciated. I'll recommend people to stay away from Makemytrip, they are dodgy.

    I have been a customer of MakeMyTrip for a very long time and so far, though, I had faced few inconveniences at times the association was OK otherwise but the last trip with MakeMyTrip was horrible and won't advise anyone to take services of MMT. MakemyTrip confirmed the hotel booking on 19th March 2016, asked me to make payments for the travel date 24th March 2016 for Mahabaleshwar at SAJ Resort - 4 Star.

    After reaching on 24th March at Mahabaleshwar, Saj Resort said the booking was cancelled and they informed MMT via email on 19th March. They even forwarded me the cancellation email. Due to the incompetence of MMT in informing us that cancellation has been cancelled, my family with 2 year old daughter ended-up on the road for like 5-6 hours...hot, humid climate. Due to Holy Weekend, we couldn't get anything and ended up spending 10k+ and returned back to Bombay same night. Absolutely poor service from MMT. Please keep yourself away from MakeMyTrip Services.

    Once we missed our flight due to medical emergency. My dad fainted at the airport. So we missed our flight. After a few hours when my dad was feeling better we called them to adjust us in next flight as airline crew instructed us. But when we called MakeMyTrip customer care, they said us to call airline ourself as they can't help us. I called airline they opened the ticket so that my dealer can help me out. I spent 2 days on the phone talking to MakeMyTrip customer care. They didn't help us much. A few times they said me they are waiting for some reply from airline so they will call me back, but they never did. Bad experience??? Still our one ticket is not refunded yet. As it was medical emergency I sent every document and papers of my dad's emergency visit in the hospital, airline didn't help us at all. And MakeMyTrip did no efforts to help us out.

    The worst place to book a holiday. People think that let them take some commission--at least we will have no problem--but no. Every day they are up with a new issue. Do we just have time to waste up out on them? On top of it they try to fool us by sending higher package cost 3-4 than what was decided and the person who has booked the package does not responds... it's not done yet then they make a 9 yrs old child an adult and say kuch nahi hota like seriously. Then they deny the fact I have personally asked them 2-3 times after getting the money. So do you want to leave your lovely trip in their deadly hands? I don't think so.

    Even though MakeMyTrip is giving $50 discount towards next travel, I will not be using them again. Most US online travel agencies allow for free cancellation within 24 hours, but MakeMyTrip did not even allow me 1 hour. The price on my ticket dropped within 30 minutes by almost $100, and a different airline dropped by $126. Since I am booking 4 tickets, I wanted to naturally avail of the $500 in savings. But MakeMyTrip would not allow me to change airline without penalty (even though they have not even issued ticket). Thank God they have agreed to honor new price on same airline, however, I am still at loss for almost $100.

    Last year I also booked a domestic flight within India. I was ready to book online, and they were offering similar discount. However last minute I had question about luggage so I called their office. They increased the price, and then would not even give me $50 towards next booking (because apparently it was only for online bookings). When I asked the agent why he did not guide me to book online after answering my luggage question, the agent was rude enough to tell me that I never asked. What kind of answer is that? Calling their company afterwards to escalate was useless, and I gave up. Needless to say, I will not be using MakeMyTrip again.

    I would like to highlight absence of regulatory bodies over eCommerce companies (such as, MakeMyTrip) who tend to enforce their own policies over common man/customer without any accountability. I would like to bring forward my experience with MakeMyTrip which shows how this company is breaching customer's trust. Me and my wife planned to spend our anniversary weekend in Pondicherry, so, booked a Club Mahindra hotel for 3 nights from MakeMyTrip app and got confirmation vouchers, which are attached herewith. Next day, we got mail from MakeMyTrip that there was some technical glitch (pricing error) at the time of booking and we need to either cancel it or take their special offer (which was actually not so special).

    We didn't agree to it as it looked like breach of customer trust, so, asked for their policy and if this technical glitch is already made public (through net or media). But MakeMyTrip is not looking to make it public and was fine with acceptance in mail only. As we didn't trust the company we didn't give our consent for which they went ahead and cancelled our booking quite aggressively. I requested their CEO (Mr. Deep Kalra) in email (refer trailing mails for your reference) to look into the matter urgently but didn't get any response from him, but their management conveyed us that they can't do anything on this and their decision is final.

    Please note that it is NOT matter of money but of sheer control with no accountability these eCommerce companies wanted to have over customers. We can feel that even if you've confirmed booking through MakeMyTrip we can get mail anytime that it is not yet confirmed. Had MakeMyTrip accepted their technical glitch publicly I would have given my consent for cancellation. I can understand it would raise question over their quality and services but if they're really ethical and gutsy then they should.

    Feeling really disappointed and upset on how MakeMyTrip deals with their customers in case of mishappening/road accidents while on trip. Yes, I am talking about accident that occurred in Mysore on 27th Dec 2015, where my son, daughter-in-law, and my grand-daughter came into death trap. This is regarding Booking ID: ** in the name of Puneet ** done for Bangalore-Mysore-Ooty from 25th Dec to 30th Dec where city transfers were made through taxi. However on 27th Dec 2015, due to negligence of driver, their car met with a serious accident in spite of warnings that were given to driver by my son and daughter-in-law. My son had been fighting for life for 5 days far away from family and is on bed since then. But as a service provider, MakeMyTrip don't even have sympathy to ask or give help to your customers if they fall into these types of situations.

    I know that my daughter-in-law got few calls on first couple of days but at that time she was not in position to talk, but later on when she approached MakeMyTrip for help and arranging air tickets back home etc., MakeMyTrip officials people stopped answering her calls. My daughter-in-law used to get calls from Kritika ** from MakeMyTrip head office if any help is required, but when she asked for help, she stopped talking. So the calls were just made for the sake of name. Is this the right way to deal with the customers? I would like to ask the leadership team and management team of MakeMyTrip that you take the money well in advance from customer, you have your organizational friendly policies where only organization is at Win situation, so WHY MakeMyTrip DON'T HAVE ANYTHING WHEN SUCH ACCIDENTS OCCUR. Where customer should go and ask for help.

    Due to rash driving of that un-experienced driver, my son has got hip bone fracture and multiple facial bone fractures and he is going to be on bed for another 6 months. MakeMyTrip has spoiled his life and our lives as well. It just means that whether a customer lives or dies, MakeMyTrip need money which is always paid upfront. Right? Shame on you!! This is worst level of service one can ever receive. Pathetic!!! Now I want MakeMyTrip to refund entire vacation of Rs 51K along with the hospital expenses and extra travel expenses that were insured.

    I booked several flights within India for myself and two American friends and paid online with Indian Citibank debit card. Another friend booked same flights and was quoted low rate online. However the payment would not process with American credit card. When I called on telephone they quoted price increase from 37000 Rs to 63000 Rs . When I protested they lowered price to Rs 43000. My friend booked anyway. We checked online price a few minutes later, it was low again. My guess is that they block overseas card transactions and when they call customer service they hike up the price. Dissatisfied customer.

    I booked tickets from MakeMyTrip couple of times with a hope that I will get a good service if I stick with OneTravel company instead of going with different companies every time. But the third time, when I wanted to book a ticket for my parents I had the worst experience. First, I booked the ticket online from MakeMyTrip site but I wanted to use the coupon of $50.00 which I got from the previous bookings of MakeMyTrip.

    So I called the customer care to use that coupon as it didn't allow me online. The person said if I have to use the coupon then I have to book it only through the representative. It does not work online (I was like," What **"). I thought, now it make sense to cancel what I booked online and book it through you, then answer was, "The ticket through us is $30 more per person than online" (and it was just in 5 -10 min of time when I booked ticket). So the math goes like this, two person I have to pay $60 more and then get $50 discount, so that I end up paying $10 more than what I booked online.

    Meanwhile the person, "Shall I go ahead and book sir!!" (Again I was like, "What **"). Now it makes more sense not to use the coupon. I asked to process the ticket which I booked online. She took all the information for the passengers and never asked passport details while booking. In the confirmation email I read I need to send the passport details to get the e-ticket. So I figured out I didn't give the passport details and that's why I didn't get the e-ticket. I called them to give passport details (and this was within 24 hours). The person on call said, "Sir, now the ticket price have increased so you will have to pay the difference of $300 per person (and again I was like**).

    I already got the reservation number. All I need is the e-ticket. Person: "No, sir you will have to pay the difference to get the e-ticket." And finally I said, "Forget it. Cancel my ticket and give me my money back", and within a moment she said, "OK, sir!" (as if she was waiting me to cancel the ticket). I thought now it's over and I will never book a ticket from these guys. But had another worst thing coming, after 48 hours they only deposited my half money to the credit account. So I had to call twice to get my whole money back almost after 3 days.

    Not at all happy! They provide details in the last minutes and don't help when asked! Please READ EACH AND EVERY LINE OF THEIR TRIP BEFORE going for their packages. They will not tell you but will write some important details in some documents which you are supposed to read thoroughly! Please do not assume anything on reading one document as it might be that its been written in some subtle way in one but in other document you may find details and in other more details and so forth.

    It doesn't appear that it's been planned well by them, and you can sit and relax. Please READ EVERYTHING THEY SEND AND IF SATISFIED THEN ONLY BOOK IT. However some of the information will not be available beforehand but you will only get to know when you will receive vouchers as chargeable check-in, etc., etc. It has been disappointing to stand on road while waiting for the time to check in the hotel.

    I had one of the worst experiences ever with them and would suggest to everyone never to use them. I am a travel agent from South Africa and have been in the industry for 10 years and went to India for business, charity and leisure. Don't ever use them. They are a money making scheme and that's it. Their customer service and complaint center is useless. As a tourist and traveler to India if a travel agent can't work out how to use this site to its benefit then I don't know. We booked a train trip for four and once they took payment we were told it was on waitlist for a train the next day with over 30 people in the waiting list. We were then charged cancellation fees??? For a trip that couldn't be confirmed and we were never advised prior to paying that it was on waitlist.

    We also booked a bus through them which after searching for this station for 2 hrs found the bus that was an hour late and was not safe for any human to get on. It was barely upright, so smashed up and banged up you'd swear it would never get to its destination 5hrs away. The driver was falling asleep at the wheel and the whole thing was just completely scary. We could not get on this and when we complained about the level of transport, we're refused a refund and then strung along with countless emails. Rather find a travel agent and go and speak to them personally as that worked out perfectly for us alternatively chat to people that know the trains and buses that can assist you with booking online directly with them NOT MakeMyTrip.com.

    I had the worst experience with MakeMyTrip, the absolute worst. I've traveled all over the world, and this was my worst travel experience. We bought an all inclusive package on MakeMyTrip. When we got to the hotel after an 8 hour car drive, we realized they hadn't booked our actual hotel. Even though they sent us a confirmation of the booking. We then had to wait an hour while they argued with the hotel staff. Then they tried to rebook us to a hotel that was significantly lower quality than the hotel we had booked. We had to argue with them forever before they finally got us a hotel, which we were able to check into five afters after our original check in time.

    All the tour guides we were assigned tried to scam us. They'd frame it like, "Oh, would you like to see traditional painting styles" or "Oh, would you like to see how traditional gems are made." Well yea, of course we would. Then they would lead us into a shop where people would just aggressively, AGGRESSIVELY try to sell us things and not let us leave. I'm Indian, I've shopped in India plenty of times because I have a lot of family still in India. But even for me, and my parents that had been brought up in India, this was too aggressive. We lost so much time that we would have rather spent seeing monuments.

    Then our driver kept taking us to the worst places to eat. He'd claim that this was the ONLY restaurant for miles and if we didn't eat here we wouldn't have any food for hours. So clearly a lie. He would refuse to take us any place else. The restaurants we went to were such low quality and the prices were 10x what they would have been anywhere else. So we were paying outrageous prices, for really horrible food. It's not like we stiffed him on tips either, we gave him like an extra $500 rupees each day. He clearly had some sort of deal with these restaurants where if he brought them customers he'd get a free meal or something.

    We have booked a honeymoon package for our friend to Manali (Chennai to Manali to Chennai). They have sent us a wrong flight detail (Chandigarh to Delhi), So they have missed that flight and also missed the next flight (Delhi to Chennai) also. The Couples were waiting for more than 3 hours in Chandigarh Airport because the MMT customer care did not respond well at that time. After that we have booked a next flight the next morning in the direct counter. Makemytrip did not call us again to clarify this issue. Very worst service we have ever seen!!!

    This is regarding Kerala tour of my parents which we had booked through you. We had such bitter experience right from day one to the end of the tour and went through such agony and pain. Let me narrate the horrifying experiences below which my parents suffered and were put through. Day 1: Arrival at Kochi 8 pm. Left for Munnar and reached Munnar at 1230. To our utter astonishment, driver informed us about the change of hotel and our new hotel was 50 kms away from Munnar. That left us with unnecessary travel of 100 kms each day reducing our sightseeing time and incurring extra fatigue. Day 3: Tekkadi. Here, too, we faced hotel change problem.

    Day 4: Aleppi houseboat. We were supposed to reach by 12 noon, instead thanks to the driver we reached at 1400 hrs. Here too, manager of houseboat told us that there was no booking in our name. It emerged that our name was wrongly given by the agency of Nashik. It took 2 terrible hours and long wait to senior citizens like us and we lost our two precious hours. All this while driver was furious at us and did not understand Hindi or English. Day 5: Started for Trivandrum. Being Monday, museum was closed and this too was a brutal shock. Why was it planned when it was known that it is closed on Mondays?? Driver was not willing to come with us anywhere and he didn't even have any program list whatsoever. He only would pick us up from the hotel and would drop us back to hotel. He refused to show us Padmanabhan temple and refused to come to the market.

    We are very disappointed and suffered mental agony throughout the trip which was supposed to be pleasant for us. There was no follow-up call from your end at all and we were left to our own fate. I demand Rs. 15000 as compensation as a brutal treatment of my parents and written apology from your end. Disappointed daughter of an aggrieved Sr. citizen.

    I booked 2 hotels with MakeMyTrip on 22nd Dec 2015. First one was NXT Jodhpur from 27th Dec 2015 to 29th Dec 2015 (Booking ID: **) and another one in Udaipur at Shiv Vijay Vilas from 30th Dec 2015 to 2nd Jan 2016. I received the confirmation voucher after few minutes stating that my bookings are confirmed. Before starting the trip, I called up my Udaipur hotel to check the location etc and the manager said that they are sold out and they informed the same to MakeMyTrip but I never received any such update from MakeMyTrip and as per their voucher it was confirmed (I too have email from the hotel stating that they informed MakeMyTrip about the sold out status). I thought that this might be due to any technical issue and I informed MakeMyTrip about the same on 24th Jan.

    They had no clue about that and they said that they will arrange for another hotels as soon as possible but I never heard from them till 28th Jan 2015. Before continuing with this incident, I would also like to apprise what happened in Jodhpur. I reached at Jodhpur on 27th Dec 2015 and once I reached Hotel, they said that they are already sold out and they informed the same to MakeMyTrip but MakeMyTrip again never informed me about the same (even I received a reminder mail from MakeMyTrip a day before to apprise me about my confirmed hotel booking). I called up MakeMyTrip team and informed them about the issue, they again had no clue and told me to wait for 15-20 mins so that they can make alternate arrangements. I waited for an hour with my family in my car but I didn't hear anything from them. I called them up again after an hour and the response was same but no action.

    I called up for around 5-6 times and waited till 6 in the evening but there was no response from MakeMyTrip and I was forced to stay in my car with my family. Then I decided to make the alternate arrangements myself and asked my friend to book another hotel in Jodhpur for 27th Dec 2015 (since all hotels were booked already, I could not manage to book 2 nights in a single hotel and I had to book 2 different hotels for one night each). Once I found the hotel, I received a call my MakeMyTrip and I informed them that since they could not provide the alternate arrangement, I have booked the hotel myself and the person said that they are sorry and they will pay for the extra amount and I also received an email from him in this regard. But they completely ruined my whole day in Jodhpur.

    Now coming back to Udaipur case, since I had to face a lot in Jodhpur, I decided to escalate the issue of Udaipur hotel and called up the MakeMyTrip team again and they said that they are making alternate arrangements. Till 29th, I didn't hear anything from them and then I received a call and they offered me with couple of third class hotels that I decided not to accept and asked them to offer some good alternates but I again didn't hear from them. Keeping the Jodhpur experience in my mind, I decided to book another hotel in Udaipur to avoid any inconvenience and later I received a call from MakeMyTrip. I informed them that I have booked another hotel as the hotels offered by them are all of very poor quality.

    The person from MakeMyTrip said that they will refund the additional payment I made for Udaipur booking. I asked him to drop an email to me in this regard but rather than dropping an email, they sent me a msg stating that my booking has been cancelled and they are refunding 100% amount. Then I again called them up and asked them why they have sent this message when I didn't cancel the booking but agreed to the promise of payment of additional amount made to me by MakeMyTrip over call. MakeMyTrip team asked me to wait for 72 hours to review the call and after 72 hours, when I called them up, they said that booking was canceled by you over call and we never promised of making additional payment and it is not our policy (please note that I have email from MakeMyTrip for Jodhpur hotel where they promised to make additional payment).

    When I asked them to provide the call details, they had no clues. I again called them up but they hung up the phone. Then I asked them if I cancelled the booking why they are refunding 100%, why not as per the terms mentioned in the confirmation voucher, but they again ignored my question. I am a regular customer of MakeMyTrip and never had such experience earlier but this time they completely ruined my vacations. I had to waste my 7 hours in Jodhpur waiting for MakeMyTrip alternate arrangements (that they didn't make) and more than 6-7 hours talking with MakeMyTrip and then I had to pay almost double money for hotels bookings. I just want to teach these frauds a lessons so that others should not suffer because of their unprofessional behavior. Thanks.

    On 11/21/2015, I booked a trip through this website. Needless to say when I returned home, I noticed that I was charged twice for the same trip.     I missed my flight from USA to India and Makemytrip canceled my return ticket from India to US. They say in the case of no show tickets automatically get cancelled. They informed me about the cancelled ticket when just 10 days before my return date. Their customer care wasted a lot of my time and I ended up buying a new ticket from India to USA. They cheated $2500 from me. I would recommend not to buy ticket from makemytrip. Best way to get cheapest ticket is to first search using google flight and then directly booking tickets from the airlines website.

    My flight to Chennai and Kolkata from Madurai was cancelled (because of Chennai floods) but it's been a month, I did not receive an update. I have called more than 10 times, but every time I am told it is stuck in accounts. Customer support either disconnects the call or say they will work with accounts or the airline (airline confirmed that they have refunded). They are not also able to tell me my refund amount, leave alone ETA. They keep telling me that they are not allowed to give out any information. It is my money and my information... What information are they talking about. This has caused a lot of hassle. It is better to book directly than use MakeMyTrip. Never ever using MakeMyTrip. Sorry to say "Horrible" customer service is the only word for MakeMyTrip.

    Makemytrip.com - by mistake I booked tickets from US -> India using Makemytrip.com & their customer service 1-800-46342-10. Later I found out that I was paid too much $$ compared to other travel website (yahoo.travel). Also end up getting around 1500$ extra charges applied in my CC. Then I filed fraud complaint about this. Do not trust them!!! (I have been buying ticket with them past few year but now received big trouble from them). Also it seem they do the trick to increase the price when you try to book ticket.

    I have been pursuing MMT through several calls and online complaints for about 2 weeks now for my insurance papers and I still haven't got them. Because of this my visa is stuck. Apart from, I had to pursue them even to send my ticket and invoice. Worst customer service ever, with false commitments made by executives as well as the supervisor. Even their extension numbers are incorrect. And they say they do not have the phone number of the insurance company they partner with. Extremely harassed. I am going to go out of my way to make sure nobody of the thousands people I know use this website and get to have similar harrowing experiences. While sharing word about this, I just got to know that another friend was charged an amount higher than the one mentioned in the invoice. Customers have to be compensated for this.

    I had book ticket through MMT. The flight time was rescheduled (prepone) & Make My Trip have not informed about it to me. Because of that my parents are unable to travel. Any how we both manage to get the flight but we were carrying their luggage of all 4 persons with us. SpiceJet has charged Rs 4500/- extra charges on us. So this was the worst experience with paying money 3 to 4 month back and we not got any intimation of actual flight time.

    VERY VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT HOW MAKE MY TRIP ARE CHEATING ITS CLIENTS. Kindly share it as much as possible so that people don't get cheated by this hypocrite company. This is how the so called self-proclaimed most reliable company cheats its client. My friend had booked a packaged trip for an international destination from MAKE MY TRIP from Dubai. The cost for the trip was 7500 AED (135000 Indian Rupees). For some reason they had to cancel the trip 5 days before the travel and had informed Make my Trip via email and also by calling them. Make my trip confirmed the cancellation and had promised that they would refund the amount within 7 working days.

    It's been almost two months now and they have still not refunded the money and whenever they call Make my trip they are just transferring the call to different departments and keeping on hold for 6 hours daily. My friend is calling them on daily basis, however Make my trip are not willing to refund his money nor are they giving any information about what's happening about the complaint. It's still an ongoing issue and they are going to take legal action against this Company. So friends, kindly be aware of Make my trip and share this incident to your loved ones so that they don't fall into their trap. I have boycotted this company forever, hope you'll be aware of it and stop using its services before you also get cheated.

    I have a very bad experience with MakeMyTrip when I booked air ticket from their website. Here is the whole story. I booked the ticket through MakeMyTrip.com well before actual date of travel and as expected received the email from MakeMyTrip about ticket confirmation. I believed in the email and was relieved but... I was not aware that it was just a myth because the ticket was never confirmed with the respective airlines. I came to know about it when I tried to do web check-in on airline's website and received error because it cannot find that booking. Thinking of it as technical problem I called their customer care and they confirmed that there is no booking. Running out of time I need to book ticket the same day paying double the price of what I used to book the ticket earlier. With this experience, I don't think I will use MakeMyTrip for any further bookings.

They continue, until today, sending me pre-written emails in response to my emails and saying I'll get a solution in 24 hr, and every 48 hr, when I write back, they say the same thing. When I tried to have a refund from the airline, they say it was made to MakeMyTrip, so no refund possible.     We are two families traveling from Bangalore on 26th Dec and planned accordingly and booked all the hotels according to the plan. We booked 1 cottage and 1 deluxe room in Patang Beach Resort for Gokarna for 31st Dec and it was confirmed booking. I have called up continuously for two days for confirming the same as the date is a crucial one and it is difficult to find a hotel at that time. I got the confirmation mail saying the booking is confirmed.

    Now today after 5 days I happen to check the status as I requested for change of the guest name of the deluxe room. None of the request was taken and in fact got a shocked after seeing status as wait-listed. It was not intimated to us nor even called and informed. Should this happen on the date of traveling what would you do. This is a very irresponsible behavior by MakeMyTrip and I won't dare to book any rooms or flight from this site anymore. I called up today at night to know the reason and the customer care hung up the call without giving any explanation.

    I had done booking on 3rd October. As soon as I reached the hotel they told, "The rooms are not available." After that I was on the phone with MakeMyTrip guys for 4 hours and found that MakeMyTrip guys overbooked the room and did not contacted the hotel. I used my payback points. Till to date they have not refunded my points and my vacation was wasted so I had to return home. After that I told them to reimburse my car rental bills. They told me to submit the bills that I did submit but then also still they are reviewing as if it was a million dollar refund. Still I am waiting for my car rental refund and payback points.

    I will never book anything from MakeMyTrip in future. They are cheaters & fraud. My whole vacation plan got cancelled and now they are not ready to refund my money back to my account. I have booked my Srinagar package from Mumbai to 23-Nov-2015 to 29-Nov-2015, We board on time in flight on 23-Nov-2015 from Mumbai but due bad weather flight could not be landed in Srinagar and we were forced to be back to Mumbai. Now, since I didn't cancelled trip, I ask for refund and they accepted to refund whole package amount but in the form of future travel voucher with one year validity. I told them I need refund in form of money transfer to my bank account. They are not ready to refund money and insisting to refund through travel vouch. I checked on their website they have not mentioned anywhere that refund will be done only through future travel vouchers.

    In fact their website clearly mentions following statement in their policy "All refunds are processed by the method of payment used in the initial transaction, except in the case of cash payments where the refund is processed through cheque or online transfer." but still this people insisting for refund only through future travel vouchers. I didn't expected such cheating from MakeMyTrip for refund due to cancellations from their side.

    I spoke to customer support to change my flight booking but the customer support agent was not clear with his language and he was struggling to explain me saying "he can’t do the change on my booking". I asked him to transfer the call to his supervisor or any other person, as I can’t understand what he speaks. He ignored to transfer, but still I specifically said "I want to talk" he kept me on hold for 1:30 mins and he didn’t come back on line.     A very bad experience with MakeMyTrip... I booked Dubai-Mumbai round trip and they gave me e-tickets for opposite dates of the trips (15th was supposed to be Dubai-Mumbai; they gave me the opposite i.e. Mumbai-Dubai & likewise for the return trip). Till date, trying to run around and catch hold of their support - when I called their support, they say they'll transfer to the concerned department and eventually just hang up. Social media pages suck to the core since they only say they'll revert back - no response yet... Support ticket is raised via email - but no one's interested to reply.

So if we want to check various options, we have to exit the app after selecting any flight and before selecting the next option available.

    This is ridiculous. If there is a software glitch, the owner should have the courage to step up, accept mistake and correct the bug in the app. It's been over a week & it seems their glitches are 'sponsored' through our money.     MakeMyTrip will book a ticket for you on a price and if the flight is full and if anyone pay higher price for that ticket they will cancel yours automatically at the last moment. If your luck/fate is good you will have your ticket. Don't believe MakeMyTrip website confirmations and plan anything. They will ruin your good time and simply refund your money after you suffered everything. MakeMyTrip persons itself not sure about the information in their system, then how come we can make sure their ticket confirmation is genuine or not. This is what happened to me, I booked a ticket on 10/22 for my family of 4 from Bangalore to Chennai in Jet Airways for travelling on 10/25 through MakeMyTrip.com. I got all the confirmation through SMS and email.

    When we presented the e-Ticket at the Jet Airways Boarding counter before 2 hours of flight, they are not able to pull any information of our ticket in their system and they said they didn't received any payment for the e-ticket which we given. From the Airport I tried calling the MakeMyTrip customer service multiple times and finally after one and half hours of hardness I got hold of a person. I simply given my confirmation number and asked the status and he said everything looks good on our ticket and we can travel. Then I informed him about the problem that nice representative put my call on hold and the line got disconnected after few minutes.

    Again after a hour of try I got connected to customer service and this time I directly said the problem and they coolly said your ticket got cancelled. MakeMyTrip persons itself not sure about the information then how come I can make sure their confirmation is genuine or not. When I asked about the cancellation information, they said they will raise a ticket and will get back to me in 3 days where my flight is in next 30 mins. When I asked about whether the refund has been initiated, they said it's not and they will raise a ticket and will get it done by 7-10 working days.

    The ticket says 10,000+ plus MakeMyTrip fee of 500. But the agent comes back and says, "You have to pay a fare difference which is not different from buying a fresh ticket!" The girl at the call center keeps repeating and gets you worked up. Typical Delhi style, take it or leave it types. They are trained to stonewall and not explain why the difference in fare is equal to full fare on a refundable ticket. Unless you are, feel or like to, travel like cattle, you shouldn't fall for the ticket sites. Go straight to airline sites, resist discounts and buy a ticket and your right to change the plans a bit... We are humans, not cargo. The diff in ticket price isn't more than 10%. Cut the intermediaries of MakeMyTrip types. They are horrible. Hopefully there is a regulation against all those mindless ads while they keep you on hold for eternity. Crass, uncivilized fellows...     I book air ticket from Delhi to Budapest using MakeMyTrip Android App. Possible travelling date was 26 September 2015. Ticket cost around 36000 INR.

    Due to some reasons, I cancelled my ticket. I received an email from company that my money is going to refund until 3rd October 2015. The refunded amount is 25000 INR. I was SHOCKED that they deducted 11000 INR just for cancellation. Until 5th October 2015, I didn't received any money so I send them an email. Then 7th October, they send an email that they can return the money with two installment. 17015 INR + 8000 INR. Then on 9th October 2015, fortunately I received 17015 INR but they didn't return 8000 INR.

    Today is 27th October 2015 and I send them mail with number of times but they are not replying. I am sending my email as well as bank account statement. I belongs to middle class family and we can't afford even airline ticket. Somehow this is my mother's income which I spend to buy ticket because I got scholarship to study in Budapest, I travel to Budapest, hungry.

    I found MakeMyTrip fraud and liars because I talked to Customer Care a number of times regarding my money. One Customer Care executive he forced me to stay online for 20 minutes because I was insisting them to return my money. Because I belong to middle class family, the last thing I can do with this company is to CURSE THEM FOR EVERYTHING and in coming future cannot travel using this portal IF I AFFORD.

    In context of the horrible experience that we had with your organization, we demand a complete refund and compensation for the harassment that we had to go through. I had paid Inr 294,000 for Europe honeymoon package but due to negligence of makemytrip.com our visas got rejected and the same was never updated to us. We got the update on 17th Aug whereas the verdict was out on 11th August. Still I'm calling you guys like anything and constantly mailing you but there is no revert.     Booked a hotel in Pondicherry for Rs.3600 from MakeMyTrip. But found out from the hotel reception that the tariff is only 1500 and at max 2000 during peak seasons. The room is only worth that. It is just an 80sqft cubicle with a double bed and AC plus a small 20sqft toilet. That room is totally worthless than 1500. And that is the tariff as accepted by the reception guy. He was also wondering why MakeMyTrip took 3600 from me. Now I am feeling cheated by MakeMyTrip. If the hotel is charging only 1500, why is MakeMyTrip charging 3600. They are taking 400 as MakeMyTrip service fee. Still they took twice the tariff and totally cheated us. This kind of worst behavior was not expected from MakeMyTrip.

    On the top of that I had to pay another 200 directly to the hotel as taxes. For a night's stay in a dungeon worth 1500, I end up paying 4000. Now I am totally depressed when I think of how MakeMyTrip cheated me. Please beware of the rates whenever you book rooms through MakeMyTrip. It is not cheap as they claim. They cheat you.     I booked a round ticket for my family (wife and two minor daughters) from Delhi to New York. They availed the onward journey and when they were suppose to fly back on 9 Oct., they fell ill. I requested the MakeMyTrip, Transaero Airlines, to postpone the reservation for three days. Transaero said, "We can't do anything. MakeMyTrip is your booking agency. They have authority." I spoke to the MakeMyTrip. They said, "Send us the medical certificate of the doctor." I spent and attached the certificate which says they are unfit to fly and to take rest for three days.

    Since then I am regularly contacting MakeMyTrip and they put me on hold every time or transfer the call after hearing all my grievances, and in the last hangs up the call by saying, "We will call you back within 24 hours." I must have spoke to up till now 20 agents and more than 18 hrs of call time wasted on them, just in the end listen that "We are sorry," the Transaero Airlines not responding to their call.

    Friends, now the best part is this. The airline in which they suppose to fly on 9th Oct. became unoperational on its own on that day, and they started mailing me with intimation to MakeMyTrip for restoring the new dates. Though they are aware of the facts, even then they started cheating and do not want to resolve the issue. My request was to them that this is not my fault whether the airlines get bankrupt or not picking up their call. Why the passenger should suffer? But still they are not bothered, and not calling me and sorting out the problem. For how long should I wait for their response? 5/7/10/15/30 days and my family should stay back in New York at the anticipation that we will get the alternative option from the agency. Just ridiculous... hardcore people.

    Don't book any hotels via MakeMyTrip.com. They are just simply cheat and loot you. Here is my experience with MakeMyTrip.com. I have booked the hotel via MakeMyTrip and reached the hotel and surprisingly MakeMyTrip people doesn't send the confirmation to the Hotel guys and hence they denied to allow me. Then immediately I called up the customer care and the guy who attended my call was not able to figure out the booking as they are tied up with all the cheap hotels in the same street. So finally they either couldn't find my booking and didn't offer an alternate. So I have decided to pay money from my pocket (even I have a booking) and stayed. Later I ask then for cancellation and refund as it was completely their failure. Then they agreed (thank god they agreed) and said refund was done.

    These stupids were never processed the refund and simply hiding the thing. After 15 days I again asked for the status this time with strict then they realized they're cheating and done the refund. Please think all the people will never keep tracking the things. What happened if I didn't ask for that again and again, I will never get my money back. And when I ask for the proof which says that the refund was happened on 15 days back and they denied to show the receipts. So all in all, please don't book anything using MakeMyTrip.com. A=They are cheaters and looters. Even if they book then they have the most worst hotels. So never never never use MakeMyTrip.com hotel bookings.

    I purchased ticket to ATL to BOM online. Then chat window popped up, so I started chatting with representative. He said if I book ticket from him, he will give me discount. I asked "what will happen to ticket I purchased already?" He said he will cancel it and refund me. I was hesitated to do so. He lied that he already cancelled my ticket. I was shocked. Then he said he will give me good deal, after long time him convincing me. By saying he will give me ticket for $1300 (I purchased ticket for $1450, sounds too good to be true) which he changed to $1350. I had no option but to purchase the ticket.

    I did not receive any confirmation email. I was still kept saying, "I want to wait to buy ticket." But still, conversation was going on and on and on... He booked the ticket, without telling me it is non refundable. This happen on July 30, e-ticket arrive on August 12. Today Sept 8th. I called to cancel the ticket, then I came to know it is non-refundable. And it says in ticket. Usually ticket cancellation is $150-$200 (at least that's what in my mind, since he never told me so) so they did not refunded me at all. I lost my hard working money. Makemytrip.com lost one customer for sure.

    I was traveling to Auckland on the student Visa and My wife was coming along on the Dependent Visa. Two better options were either Ahmedabad - Singapore - Auckland or Mumbai - Singapore - Auckland. I decided to book the second options. After lot of research I got the best bid from Mumbai - Singapore - Auckland from MakeMyTrip (My bad luck!!) in 70000 Indian rupees each. I have booked two tickets on 14th July 2015 through MakeMyTrip and I got prompt and lightning fast responses from the MakeMyTrip helpdesk.

    Unfortunately, My wife could not join me with to the Auckland due to delayed Visa. We have cancelled her ticket on 21st July 2015 (Ref# **). I never got the response for the cancellation of the ticket (Forget about the lightning fast and Prompt. The way they have sent while booking the ticket, I wonder they use two different servers to respond while Booking and Cancellation). I was kept wondering that If ticket been cancelled or not. I called thrice before getting any email for the cancellation and first response from the call center executive was "Yes! You have booked a ticket for 2 passengers". I have to inform them that "Please check if one ticket is cancelled on 21st July or not." I wonder what kind of the system they have for the back end resolutions, When customer has to inform about the status.

    I got the revert from them on 26th (after total 5 days) that your ticket has been cancelled and refund would be transferred in "10" Business days. I thought, No worries! I would be getting back the refund by maximum 10th August by any means. But, It was just start of the long and tiry wait for our own money to get as the refund. It has been total 49 days today with enormous calls to call center, visits to make my trip office "Near Bird Circle, Vadodara and almost 9 reminder mail from our side and almost equal mails with the same "Standard canned responses" that your refund is in process and you will get it in next 3 days. They have several issues and countless technical reasons just at the time of the refund? They do not even bother to respond looking at the time the issue is open. They don't even feel the urgency.

    There is no point writing or even discussing about the "Customer Satisfaction". I am highly dissatisfied with the MakeMyTrip and felt completely cheated by "MAKE MY TRIP". I would definitely rate -10 for customer satisfaction in the scale of 0 to 10 (0 being the poor and 10 being the outstanding). Please Don't misjudge (-) before 10 in ratings. I have kept it deliberately. Note:- Dear Travelers!! Beware... Avoid "Make My Trip" if you are not 100% sure about the travel plan. They don't have Refund Mechanism in place at all.

    I have called multiple times for my refund. They had been cancelled due to the Nepal earthquake (FYI my grandparents had gone there for the Pashupatinath (Shiva) pilgrimage).     A Maharaja Room was booked at Hotel Siddharth, Ram Bazar, Shimla through MakeMyTrip site, at a cost of Rs. 9,805 after discount, for 3 nights (14/06/15 to 16/06/15). The specifications selected in the site was 4 adults in a single room. On arrival at the hotel, which doesn’t even have proper access by road, we realized that this is actually a double bedroom wherein two extra people would be accommodated on make-shift arrangement. MakeMyTrip does not offer any refund on cancellation of rooms. Neither are such facts stated in their site so that customers may be sure of what they can expect. Having confirmed from the hotel manager that this was the best they had to offer, we contacted MakeMyTrip customer care in order to cancel the booking requesting a refund. 3 hours were spent at the reception desk of the hotel with no proper response from the team.

    Every effort to get a decent reply from the call centre went in vain as either we were put on hold stating they have to contact the hotel manager, or that they would call back in consultation with the concerned authorities. On two occasions, the call was simply cut without even listening to the issue. If this is the way a customer care responds to general public, it's high time to stop trusting such sites that are meant to make our job easier. The hotel manager stated that according to his agreement with MakeMyTrip was supposed to carry out bookings for 2+1 adults at an extra rate of Rs. 300 per person, per night. But MakeMyTrip had charged Rs. 1,600 as additional fee (2x3x300) to accommodate 4 adults in a double-bed room. In the end, we were forced to leave the room unoccupied, with no consideration from MakeMyTrip.

    The manager of the hotel, Mr. Kuldip ** has given in writing that the booking has been cancelled without occupation. A copy of the same along with the call records was sent to MakeMyTrip team on Jul 01, 2015 to consider the facts and make a full refund of the amount wrongly claimed by hiding actualities in their site and misleading customers to make money. But the only outcome is innumerable mails and calls stating that the hotel is not ready to refund. When payment is made to MakeMyTrip, it becomes their responsibility to refund and not make payment to the hotel for an unoccupied room! It clearly shows that both are of the intention of making money and not help customers. Every customer needs to be entitled for a choice in room and nothing should be enforced under the name of cancellation policy. If this sort of unethical response is what we get, it is better we don't use them at all!

    I booked my domestic flight through MakeMyTrip.com. I cancelled the ticket on 17/8/2015, and told refund will be credited on 25/8/15. On 26/8/15 I called the customer care since my refund was not credited. They replied saying it will be credited in two days. I booked my other domestic flight, whilst waiting for refund. Unfortunately I had to change my date of journey so I did this change through online. The original price of the ticket was 3291, in addition to that MakeMyTrip charged me Rs. 8500 for the date change.

    I checked the price of the ticket simultaneously, the fare was only Rs. 4200. So again MakeMyTrip plays cheapest tricks to steal customers money. It stole Rs. 8000 from me, which they are yet to return. Every time I call customer care I get lame responses, from agent who neither understands nor speaks English but Hinglish. The worst travel site by far. All they do is daylight robbery. People beware and don't use MakeMyTrip.com to book tickets.

Advised her to add Dhaunalti to itinerary. She repeatedly told me that she's waiting for the technical team to update her. She prolonged this until a week before our travel, then suddenly she is informing "Your bookings are transferred to my manager Mahesh **."

    This guy talked to us so friendly and said he'll help us by guiding us in the trip along as we are visiting India for first time. This guy Mahesh ** charged us no fee for guiding. Instead he made us to book hotel, food and travel expenses for him. He said he travelled Agra like 1000 times and Mussoorie like 3 times. That's the reason we decided to take his help. We finally regretted a lot for it. This guy never revealed any information related to driver or rental service, just replied always "Am travelling along and everything well taken care of, don't worry." I again updated this guy that itinerary must be changed as Agra is closed on Fridays and Dhanaulti must be added. Don't worry just pay few hundreds/thousands extra driver will take you wherever you want and can inform the driver on the spot. No need to be included in the itinerary was told.

    Once we arrived the airport, there is no one to pick up us from the airport. Mahesh ** made us to wait in airport for two hours at the Airport EXIT. We are all three friends travelled together. He picked us from airport only after we made a call to him and simply said nothing for his delay. Then instead of taking us through Yamuna Expressway this guy took us through another way that took 6 hours to reach Agra and reached Agra at 9 pm and all shops were closed. This guy ate food like hell as though he has never seen any food before. His hotel was booked by us, his travel for car by us was upgraded to 3000 rupees extra for him and all of his expenses were paid by us. Then they told me all driver food, toll taxes are included in package. But we paid for for every meal of driver food and all toll taxes etc.

    When we asked him so many questions, he always replied us "Don't know, don't ask me, I am just travelling like a friend and nothing to do with guiding. You must ask Dilasini." When we asked him then for what reason you travelled with us, no reply, am just a friend. How the hell he could become our friends if he did not take up this booking via MakeMyTrip? Finally we did not do any sightseeing for four days except for Taj Mahal. We did 2 hrs shopping at mall road Mussoorie - that's it.

    We made a complaint registered to MakeMyTrip, but instead of providing solution, this company just closed the case thrice without notifying or contacting us for anything. I repeatedly reopened the case and they kept closing the case after a week without contacting us for anything. This guy WhatsApp us to withdraw complaint as he'll lose his job. The way he pleaded, wrote an email that this is misunderstanding. Immediate after this email, this guy again started troubling us by forcing us to take a trip along with him and pay for him again for accommodation. We reopened the case again on him of this behaviour. This guy immediately sent an whatsapp message that "Will you withdraw your complaint or you want me to lose my job?" And this guy is so stubborn to cheat people as many times as he would. MakeMyTrip took no action and simply closed the case.

    Now the case is reopened again two days back. Never ever choose this MakeMyTrip forever in your life viewers. They can never help people in their bookings. They just want to protect their honor and their employees who cheat their customers. Lucky the driver was so good and he helped us by saving us from this guy and his cheap tricks. Thanks to the driver. Decided never MakeMyTrip again for anyone as they don't make your trip, they spoil your trip. Pls be careful before choosing your travel agents, rather choose your own car rental services and plan your itinerary to save all your money. That saves a lot of money as everything is available online now. Choose the trusting partners not someone like MakeMyTrip who cheat on their customers and never care to provide solution too.

    I bought tickets from MakeMyTrip mobile app from London. At the time of booking my flight details were 17.40, apparently app-generated message -- "Sorry, we can't process your booking due to technical issues," and after 10 mins I received confirmation of my tickets for different flight late in the evening for 22.30. I have been complaining for this over a month now. All these days, ask me wait for few days or hang up the phone. I got all the records of their emails. Last email on 21st August. Wait for 3 days, we sort. It's been 28th August. I called again. Results same -- phone got hung up again. Guys, I warn you not to buy any of your travel plans by MakeMyTrip if you are living abroad.     I booked a United Air flight between SFO and CCU (via HKG). Suddenly, within 1 day of the booking, the next morning I found 20 missed calls from an Indian number. Also someone from MakeMyTrip wrote to me (email) that my flight has been rescheduled and an option in Cathay Pacific has been offered by the airlines. Then I replies it is not possible for me to book Cathay Pacific as in that case I won't get reimbursed as that requires an US carrier. Then this guy called me and started to give me numerous options which are much more expensive than what I booked. I then asked him to cancel my flight.

    Suddenly he told me actually the change is only in ~1 hour (which does not essentially change anything). I wondered why then he was giving me these options?Then suddenly he told me that I have to pay $300 more for the changed flight!!! I of course did not pay. Then he said, it's fine. I wasted 30 min talking to him. And then when he hung up I found actually there is no change in my earlier schedule!!! I guess they have some benefit if I had book with Cathay Pacific, but they can NOT lie about things and confuse people. Such a LIAR!!! They lost one customer I can guarantee.

    I wanted to reschedule a booking from MakeMyTrip from Delhi to Helsinki. While discussing the issue, I asked the representative to book a flight on Qatar Airways that was charging 34000 Rs. He showed some vague reasons not to book that flight. I gave every details of that flight. He was telling me that he could not find that flight description in his computer. I could not explain how that kind of misunderstanding could have happened.

    I was very desperate to purchase the ticket. I asked him, "please tell me what is the best option you can offer." Then he offered me to purchase a ticket in Aeroflot airways that was charging 45000 Rs. There are other Aeroflot tickets available which even cost lower than what he offered.     Hi, this is regarding an extremely awful and dissatisfying service provided by MakeMyTrip. My husband had booked flight tickets through them and I don't know by some error the ticket dates got switched. We had booked tickets from Delhi to Goa on 4th of Sept and Goa to Delhi for the 7th of Sept but somehow the dates got switched and it became vice versa. We called MakeMyTrip so many times to fix that however they were not really helpful at all. They were not concerned about our issue.

    We wanted to switch the dates but they said that will penalty for the same whether we cancel or refund the amount. We were shocked about the penalty money. I just don't understand why a customer doesn't have the flexibility to change the dates with no penalty or less penalty amount. We end up paying rs 8000 to get the refund which is a huge amount for us. They ripped us off and they are only concerned about how to extract money from customers. They have no consumer centricity at all. I hate MakeMyTrip. I advise other customers to be beware. I will tell this to everyone that I meet so that they don't get into the same trouble.

    Booked a Singapore-Bali flight, there were four options. We had not selected any of the options, we proceeded with default timings of 9:20 am flight as per our convenience and hotel bookings and international tour plan. After getting tickets we got to know that flights were booked at timings of 12:15pm. Complained to Air Asia the very same day and they have told that there might be some technical error, "we will get back to you," and they took 15 days to respond that it will be resolved via MakeMyTrip.

    Very same day after response of Air Asia, we lodged complaint to MakeMyTrip and they have been extending for every 72 hours which took a month to come to this stage. We have sent the mail of the same day of Air Asia to MakeMyTrip still they are not ready to listen and not changing the flight timings. We are even ready to bear their nominal fee of 500 as per their fare rules stated but still they are not doing the same and reply that they are analysing the case, though it's the fault of their own website. Our dates are nearby and we are not able to make Visa due to this. We had booked 4 tickets and whole 25k is gone in drain + our hotel bookings and holiday + the precious time.

    I personally will not book any hotel and flights through MakeMyTrip, nor we will recommend to any of our relatives which will be almost 10-15 accounts as customer support is totally annoying and they speak only a standard lines. What about the hard earned money of 25k, being a medium class foreign tours are not done regularly, these crab and stubborn people are not even ready to accept their mistake and do the changes. We are not asking for any refunds too, just a mere change in flight timings.

    On 8th May 2015 I booked a flight online from Mumbai to Kolkata in India. The flight was paid for by my Irish business account and the booking confirmation was emailed to me directly after along with the withdrawal of 8,734 Indian rupees (146.26 Euros). A little while later, I received an email indicating my booking had been cancelled and that I would receive a refund of 218 Indian rupees. I telephoned and was told I would receive a full refund which would take a few days to show up in my account. On the same day, the 8th May 2015, I rebooked a similar flight which I again paid 8,734 rupees for 'on top' of the previous 8,734 rupees previously paid for the flight that MakeMyTrip cancelled. I then received an emailed booking confirmation and the flight went ahead without problem.

    The bank statement showed both amounts of 8,734 Indian rupees being withdrawn and no refund of the 8,734 Indian rupees for the first flight that MakeMyTrip cancelled which I was advised over the telephone I would receive. Also, there was no refund of 218 Indian rupees as indicated in a Refund Request Confirmation which was emailed to me by MakeMyTrip.

    I have made several telephone calls and am advised someone will check accounts and call me back. However, after considerable expense and time making these phone calls, no one has called me back. I have sent several emails too and have not received any confirmation on my refund. I flew to Mumbai and spoke to a staff member in one of their city offices but was told to speak to someone over the telephone. I was transferred to a supervisor and told someone from accounts would call me in five days. No one did and I have still not received my refund.

    Was sending my family on vacation to India. Checked the online price and called MMT and talked to the agent and while talking the agent started pressuring to accept the itinerary. So accepted the agent suggestion and gave my CC to charge, while still on phone with the agent I told the agent that I do not want to continue with that. The agent mentioned that the ticket are already confirmed and he cannot revert it back and if I want I will have to call another department and cancel the ticket. I called the other department in good faith, they mentioned that cancellation fee for about $120. After much argument, a call to BBB, and stop payment from my credit card institution and lots of proactive action resulted in not getting charged.

After reaching there hotel indicated that there was no booking in our name. After following up are the confirmation mail was sent. Fortunate there was vacancy in the hotel hence we were accommodated. Otherwise we would have been on the road in the heavy rain. They assured us on call that we have made full payment but we had to pay extra for the taxes.     I had booked tickets for my mother, my wife and myself for DXB - LKO flight on Air India Express for travel on 06-JUL-2015. The booking was done on 06-JUN-2015 and I did get the booking confirmation from MakeMyTrip. The payment was done using the credit card and it was a successful transaction. I made some more bookings for the domestic travel on the same day (06-JUN-2015) and I did get the booking confirmations and e-tickets for some. On 06-JUL-2015, I checked my mailbox and could not find the e-ticket for the DEL-LKO flight.

    On calling up MakeMyTrip and after holding on endlessly for the right person to respond to my call, one agent gave me the information that the booking has been cancelled. I was shocked to hear this. They said that the booking did not go through and hence it was cancelled. The cancellation happened on 18th JUN 2015. I was not informed about the cancellation and the refund process was initiated. I had to buy tickets from MakeMyTrip by paying a higher fare. The difference in the fare paid by me initially and on the day of the travel was substantial. On following up the case and after logging in numerous complaints, they recite the events and expect me to buy the story. I would like them to refund the difference that I paid. I believe that if MakeMyTrip has sent me a booking confirmation and the amount was deducted from my credit card, that I would be able to travel. This is no fault of mine and I am being penalized for this.

    I booked round trip tickets from Chennai to Singapore. I travelled from Chennai to Singapore. But after my stay in Singapore, 2 days before my travel to Chn, I called Indigo flight (Booked Indigo thru MakeMyTrip) to confirm my travel and I got to know that my tickets are cancelled by MakeMyTrip. I was shocked and called Customer care and raised this issue on 23rd June and received a vague reply from MakeMyTrip after 2 weeks that mistake is not on them...

    My questions are: Did they take 2 weeks time to trace my call with their customer care? If they didn't cancel the tickets from their side, then who did it? Every time I open an escalation ticket in MakeMyTrip site, the Customer care closes the escalation without any proper response. I have the chat history I had with INDIGO FLIGHTS but there's no option here to attach any file. Each time I call Customer care, they ask us to wait for 24 - 48 working hrs.     I made a booking with Makemytrip on 10th June 15 for Turkish Airlines business class flight for 15th June 2015. But due to some problem I had to cancel the flight on 14th June 2015. At the time of cancellation I was informed by MMT executive that I would be getting the refund amount within 8 working days. After 20 days when I realized I didn't get the amount. I contacted MMT and I was totally rendered speechless. According to them, I never cancelled the booking but I am 100% sure I did. I had paid Rs. 128262 for this booking and I am not that stupid that after paying such a big amount, without even cancelling I will book another fresh ticket just after 2 days of cancellation. If I had not cancelled I could have always rescheduled the flight instead of booking a fresh ticket. Never ever using MMT service ever.

Unfortunately I post bond the ticket to 9th July and I got the e ticket for the same after several follow ups to MakeMyTrip team and I paid the penalty too.     I booked a hotel at Goa called "the Zuri white sands". I read a lot of good review about it on make my trip about the hotel and the beach, but in reality when I went there, I was totally disappointed. The hotel claims to have one of the cleanest beaches in Goa, but they were letting the drain water into the sea right in front of the hotel. When we complained, nobody bothered doing anything about it, so we decided to cut down our fully paid stay from 4 nights to 2 nights and get a refund, to which the revenue manager did not agree and was extremely rude too! The hotel is no match to Leela and Taj Hotel standards but yet claims to be 5 star and even charge like that! It's a definite NO.

    Did 3 hotel bookings with MakeMyTrip on 27th June 2015 at 11 am for Hotel Ranikhet Grand. When guest reached the hotel guest were told that hotel received only 1 confirmation so they can't give 3 rooms despite showing the confirmation code. Guest asked for refund. Hotel said that "you should talk to MakeMyTrip as you are required to fill a form for cancellation and refund". I called MakeMyTrip back and they in turn put me on hold for 45 mins and said they could not do anything about it and could not refund. Guest did not get the room for which they have done the payment. They have to struggle for room in Ranikhet as it's a peak season. Moreover MakeMyTrip did not even care to refund the money. Their customer support staff ** was too rude to talk. Despite putting me on hold for 45 mins she did not refund the money which is a loss from every side for me. Avoid using this pathetic site.

    Nightmare with MakeMyTrip.com is a more apt tagline for your company. I had booked Singapore-Malaysia Delight package of 6D/7N. Vide Booking ID: ** and Booking ID: ** for four pax from 29 May'15 to 5 Jun'15. Below are the deficiencies in services promised but not delivered/delivered late for which I demand compensation and apology:

    Singapore (30 May-1 Jun). On Mon, Apr 20, 2015 at 2:57 PM, ** wrote as part of T&C that Overseas Travel Insurance is Non -Refundable. However when I asked for Travel Insurance document before start of Tour on 26 May, another MMT Rep ** informed that Travel insurance is not included & I have to buy it. This indicates false declaration by MMT when selling the package. I had to spend Rs 1700 for buying Travel insurance for 4 Pax which is to be reimbursed by MMT.

    MMT delivered E-tkts on May 23. Tickets had errors. Flight was Singapore Airlines (SQ) but tickets had Air India Contact nos. Also the baggage allowance was incorrectly shown as 15Kg per PAX while it should be 30Kg per Pax. This was reported to MMT. However MMT Rep ** wrote back on May 26 that tickets are fine. How am I supposed to call SQ or Silk Air for flight updates/check-in with incorrect nos? Also the incorrect baggage allowance forced us to forego shopping at SGP & KL.

    When we landed at 0740 on 30 May'15 at Changi Airport, Singapore, we couldn't find any MMT rep at Information counter as stated in itinerary. We spent more than 2 hrs at Airport before we could find one guy from Luxury Tour & travel who was carrying a MMT booking print. Then we became aware that MMT is Indian Agent for Luxury Tours which operate in Singapore & KL. We finally reached hotel CherryLoft at 1130am.

    As per Trip plan shared by MMT on May 23, My Flight SQ reaches at 0740am at Changi Airport, SG. But CherryLoft Hotel check-in is from 2pm. MMT has asked me to make own arrangements from 8am to 2pm. So I waste more than half a day waiting at Hotel Lobby? What rubbish. Was assured in the itinerary that all arrangements will be taken care by MMT as it is with Frill tour. I had to pay SG $50 to Hotel CherryLoft for early check in. This must be reimbursed by MMT.

    MMT had promised Dinner coupons for 3 Nights at Singapore. I had asked for the same on May 26 to which MMT ** had responded that same will be provided in Singapore. The promised Dinner coupons were never delivered. In Singapore also, I kept posting on Facebook & Tweeting but MMT never responded to my request. As a result, I had to incur Dinner expenses for all 3 Nights at Singapore. So MMT has to pay me for 4 Pax x 3 Dinner @$50 per Dinner = SG$600

    On Mon, Apr 20, 2015 at 2:57 PM, ** of MMT had shared detailed itinerary for this tour. However below sightseeing was not covered for us by Luxury Travels saying that they are not part of tour: (a) China Town for reasonably priced trinkets and souvenirs, (b) Jewelry shop. On May 31, Sentosa tour was poorly managed. First we were taken to an Indian Hotel for Lunch stating that Lunch is part of package. When we all settled down & started ordering/eating buffet, the Tour guide of Luxury informed us that there is an error and Lunch is not included. So people have to abandon their plates in embarrassment & leave the hotel and eat lunch at their choice of place.

    At Sentosa, we were told to finish Sea Aquarium in One hour so we can move to Sentosa Park. However once we finished Aquarium at 4pm, we were made to wait till 5pm as tickets for the Park were not yet delivered to guide. So we wasted this one hour which could have been used in Aquarium or park. Post tour of Park, we were told to assemble at 6pm for going to Wings of Time show at Sentosa. We assembled but again tickets for the show were not available with guide. Another 1.30 hrs wasted & we were given tickets at 2030 hrs for 2040 hrs show. Due to short lead time, the sitting area was full & it was difficult to get seats. We couldn't enjoy the show. Total time wasted due to tickets 3 hrs.

    On 1st June was visit to Universal Studio. We were ready at 9am, the given time. However the Bus arrived only at 0930 only to take us to another point where more people had gathered for the tour. Finally we reached the park at about 11am. Actual travel time was just 20 mins. So we wasted 1.40hrs waiting. At Park, the usual wait for tickets started. Luckily we got them within 30 mins. Now we realized that these are Normal park tickets while every ride has a waiting queue.

    One has option to upgrade the park ticket to Express Queue by paying SG$30. But since we got tickets late & it was already noon, the park follows a dynamic pricing and the express Queue upgrade was now costing SG$80. So we could manage only a handful of rides and spent a large amount of time waiting in queues. MMT never informed us of this express Queue option else we could have enjoyed more rides. Had Tickets were given in advance when we reached SGP on 30 May, we could buy Express pass online, but MMT never bothered to tell us all this.

    KL, Malaysia (2-4 Jun). On 2nd June, we left for KL. As usual, the Hotel pickup was late. It happened at 10am in place of 8am. We were taken to another Pickup point where we were transferred to AC Coach for KL. There was no lunch stop. This was never informed to us. We reached KL at about 5pm and had to rush to nearby Hotel for evening brunch. We were also given dinner coupons now. But sadly, the Indian Restaurant (Delhi Royale) was too far from Hotel. The commute itself took RM60.

    On 3rd June, we were to have our Half day KL tour. The bus came only at 1020, late by 1hr 20 min. No apologies from Bus guide. Shockingly the bus then went around two more hotels picking PAX. So finally tour started only at about 1140hrs. We were taken to some places but the major attraction PETRONAS Towers was a disappointment. The bus was stopped about a KM away & was asked to get down & take pics. Reason given was "as we are late, and if we take you to towers, you will delay the bus more. So pls take pics from here so we can finish the tour".

    Finally we were dropped at Times Square Mall at about 4pm. Half day tour should be 4 hrs (Day has 8 hrs?). Had we started in time at 9am, we could have finished by 1pm & then we can explore the city on our own. But we were robbed of this joy due to delays & pickups of 3+ hrs. We had lunch at 4pm & then did some local shopping. Then again we had a torturous ride to Grand Seasons Hotel for dinner which costed us RM100. No cabs ply by meter for tourists especially at night.

    On 4th June, we left for Sunway Lagoon at about 1020am in place of 8 am. We were late as usual. At park, again the wait started for Park tickets which were to be delivered by some agent. Finally entered park only at 1110hrs. But we were told that bus will leave for Hotel at 6pm sharp. We had fun at park but at about 5pm, it started raining. So we all gathered near bus boarding point by 530pm. But our guide came only at 730pm saying that he was stuck elsewhere. We reached Hotel by 9pm and were again robbed of last day of shopping as malls close by 10pm.     I reserved tickets for travelling from Cochin to Delhi and since I had to cancel my India trip, I called the customer service to cancel my tickets. First girl put me on hold for 20 minutes after requesting a 3 minutes hold and finally it got disconnected. Second girl was even worse. I couldn't even understand what she was saying and after 4 minutes of struggle, she hung up on me.

    These representatives have the worst accent. It's difficult to understand even being an Indian myself. I feel bad for the foreigners!! Finally I got hold of a guy and he was able to help me. But still I had to hold the line for another 20 minutes. I lost 60 dollars per ticket on a $270 ticket. I don't understand why it takes so long to cancel the tickets and why they charge so much for cancellation!! I will never dare to use these guys ever in my life!!!

    I did not have access to internet and called their tel. numbers to get my flight postponed. I called on 5th June at 3:00 PM to postpone my 19:40 GoAir flight by 2 days. The executive spent the 1st 30 minutes booking my flight for Saturday. When he gave me the final details I sternly specified I wanted to travel on Sunday and then he started the booking process for Sunday. It took him 20 mins. more to figure out the cost. He said the 18:20 flight on Sunday would cost me Rs. 4250 approx. including Rs. 2000 for airline cancellation and some Rs. 250 of MMT cancellation cost. I asked him to go ahead. Again he kept me on hold for 10 mins. and came back saying the cost was now Rs. 8400 odd. Because of him not efficiently postponing and booking the tickets on time I am now forced to pay Rs. 4000 + extra. And he refuses to acknowledge his fault in it.

    I asked for the phone to be transferred to his senior. After 1 hour of going through this mess, the call gets cut. I called back and spoke to one ** and he too was of no help. And now it was more than 90 minutes since I first called. I eventually called the Airline and got the tickets postponed to the same flight for Rs. 2000 less than what ** had offered me.. And this time the process took only 14 minutes. What Alarmed me was MMT was charging me more than Rs. 2000 as airlines cancellation fee, when GoAir charged me only Rs. 1500. This was very disappointing and unexpected from MMT, who I thought was very transparent and professional.

    I booked my airline ticket through MakeMyTrip in Sep 2014 from Los Angeles to Bangalore by Qatar Airlines. Journey to start on 9th of August 2015. Suddenly an amendment came informing me that the flight from Los Angeles to Washington IAD has been cancelled. But the remaining linking flights are not affected. (From Washington to Doha and From Doha to Bangalore - not cancelled). I took up the matter with MakeMyTrip explaining them my plight and want to cancel the entire trip ticket. I requested for the full refund amount. They said normally the Qatar Airlines tickets, once cancelled by the passenger full refund is not possible. I pleaded with them. MMT said "okay we will try our best with the airlines." The whole matter took about 2 to 3 weeks.

    Finally MMT said full refund of my ticket was authorized by the airlines and I got my full refund amount (Rs. 44000+) credited into my Bank Account on 23rd May 2015. My joy knew no boundary. What a wonderful efforts by the MMT and the Good will gesture of Qatar Airlines. I am a regular customer of MMT and MMT has taken good care of my welfare. At this juncture I must thank the entire staff of MMT who were with me right from the beginning till the end. I sincerely thank them. I am bound to thank Qatar Airlines management also. Both the managements stood by justice and upheld justice. I wish MMT and Qatar Airlines good prosperity during the years to come.

    I made two rooms of Hotel booking at Singapore via Make My trip. On reaching the hotel I found that in one of the booking Make My trip local agent made a mistake by giving different guest name and hence Hotel did not provided the second room which made my In-laws to wait until it gets resolved. I made several contacts with the Make My trip agents and I am shocked to see their level of response and responsiveness. They said complaint resolution will take 24 hours in spite of me telling them about the situation. Also they did not bother to take my Singapore number and provide me with the update on the status.

    We had horrible time to get these guys on phone and on my several request didn't made them to go out and get the resolution. Knowing that depending on Make My trip of no use and waste of time, I started working with their local agent directly. My first day of trip is totally wasted in dealing with multiple people in finding a resolution and Make My trip team didn't bother to provide a resolution and I am extremely disappointed with their approach and customer centricity. Also when I started chatting with their Chat agents they just cut off the conversation stating they don't deal with existing booking complaint which is really surprise and not sure what far they have the chat.

    I guess they only care until you make the booking and once payment is made it will be on your own to deal the situation. My sincere recommendation to all is to avoid booking via Make my trip especially overseas booking they are unprofessional and no apathy on customer problem they just care of your booking and once done they are not there to support. Totally disappointed with their service and BIG NO to anyone thinking of booking via Make My trip.

    One of the reasons why I always ended up booking my flight tickets via MakeMyTrip was that it shows up first in the list of google search. I had made a couple of bookings using this site earlier, but never realised how bad their after sales service was because I never had to modify/cancel my bookings. And this time, when I had to change my flight dates due to an emergency, I had the worst nightmare of my life! I had to spend more than 2 and half hours on call just to get the dates changed.

    One of the most funny and equally annoying part that happened was that none.. mind my words - "NONE" of the representatives I spoke to had any idea about how to help me. I had called them 4 times to get the date change done and all the 4 times they kept transferring my call from one person to another with one same statement "Allow me to transfer your call to the concerned department," and guess what, it took me 4 calls and almost 2.5 hours to reach the "CONCERNED DEPARTMENT." There were times when my call was actually transferred to the same person again and again after he/she had already transferred the call to another representative. I actually felt like that "PARCEL" in passing the parcel game!

    I mean seriously??? The app doesn't work, the website is crap, I cannot rely on calls to seek help, how the hell does a customer approach you??? Moreover, the staff was extremely clueless about the penalty charges as everyone who picked up the call gave me different rates each time. Worst online experience I have ever had, will never use this site again.. And I will make sure that I stop everyone whom I can from using this site as well.

    I travelled to Himachal for 8 days through MakeMyTrip... (5th may-12thmay). It was a horrible experience I had ever faced. Their service is very very poor as compared other travel companies. They promise you to give you very good hotels at the time of the booking, and once they receive your payment they degrade your hotels giving an excuse that rooms are not available. Moreover if you face any problem during their trip, their number is always busy. And if by any chance you get connected, they keep you waiting on the call for around 15-20 mins... But still the problem doesn't get solved and they start blaming the customer itself and find nice excuses to defend themselves. I have faced a lot of problems in those 8 days which I cannot type. But after experiencing this kind of a horrible trip I am damn sure that I shall never plan my trip through this company..

    After going through "Make My trip" recommendation on the internet, I had booked a large room at Mango Hotels, Bengaluru for 10th May 2015 for 2 nights. I was traveling with my wife and daughter. The booking along with full payment was done through "Make My trip" on 2nd May and they confirmed by email along with the Hotel reservation voucher. They even sent me sms that I do not need to contact the hotel from my side. After an overnight flight from the UAE on reaching the hotel with my family I was shocked that the hotel did know nothing about my reservation. They had no request email from "Make My trip". We had to stay in the small lobby with our luggage and call the miserable "Make My Trip" guys. Only after that the smallest among the so-called "large rooms" was provided to us that too because luckily it was available. I WILL RECOMMEND NEVER TO BOOK A HOTEL THROUGH "Make My Trip".

    I booked a ticket for my daughter (Chennai -> Dubai) with MakeMyTrip.com (Air India) for the first time (and the last time). Nowhere on the ticket did they mention that the passenger required an "OK to board" (unlike Indigo) and as a result, she was refused boarding and the ticket had to be cancelled. Spoke to them and they said Air India had to inform me. Air India on the other hand were so insensitive. Their customer support numbers were not reachable and I had to call their office in the US and just wasted my money on the call.

    Booking ID: **. I booked a ticket from MAA to BOM 1 from MakeMyTrip and 1 from Goibibo but due to some changes there was a need to change. When I cancelled it from Goibibo I rec'd a refund amount of 2600 and when I cancelled the same from MakeMyTrip they are refunding a amount of 2500 but now they are saying that they will refund only 415 INR. How can there be a huge change in the cancellation amount when booked and cancelled at the same time? This is a very bad experience. They are not refunding the amount which they said they will and after cancellation, they are changing the refund amount. Very bad experience, will surely not use MakeMyTrip again. Goibibo is much better than MakeMyTrip.

    I had purchased a ticket on 27/04/2015 for travelling with my family from Dubai to Cochin and return. But 3 days before the travel I had to change my return date from 16th May to 21st May. I called them 4 times on 4/5/2015 and each time after a long waiting period they would come up with an answer that you have to pay Dhs 330/person for date change which I agreed. Then they would keep on hold and this time 4 of them had different reasons to avoid the date change. First guy says to call after 1 hour. Second guy kept on hold and disconnected suspiciously. 3rd Lady said there were no seats available for 21/22/23. When I told her that I could see seats available online on their site as well as official site of the airlines she said that she has live update on seats availability. So I asked her does that mean yours and official site of airlines are faking the availability of seats which is a logical doubt and she disconnects.

    4th person says that seats are available but has to be called 12 hours later. I said thank you this is the last time I will use this horrible site and make sure none of my friends use this site since we receive world class service from agoda or booking.com. I understand that since the rates had already fallen down they don’t want to take that request. It’s as simple as that. They don’t even have the courtesy to reply to your mail. Haven’t seen such poor service. I would advise everyone to use this site with precaution. Since there are many online sites available better to go with them.

    My husband and I had booked our trips from MakeMyTrip.com in October 2014 for our flights in India and had paid using US dollars. The flight was through Jet Airways and the tickets were fully refundable. Jet airways made several changes to the flight time and therefore we had to cancel which we called to do in January 2015. As per the Jet Airways and MakeMyTrip (MMT) policies, we were eligible to get the entire purchase refunded.

    We tried to cancel the ticket in Jan (1/27/15). The person we talked to was ** from MMT and explained that Jet Airways gave us a clearance to cancel and receive full refund since the flight was advanced by more than 1 hr. Since ** told us it would take 48 hrs to cancel, we called MMT on 1/30/15 morning. This time I spoke to ** and asked for the status. He told us that the refund was not initiated since we did not ask for it. I told him the whole story and he prioritized the cancellation process and told me he would get it done in 24 hrs. Come 2/2/15 (almost 1 week after the 1st call) and I tried to call MMT again since I did not see any refund from MMT. This time I did not even get to talk to a customer representative after 30 mins of waiting on call!!! We then spoke to several other representatives from MMT (namely ** again and their supervisor). No one has ever returned our calls or responded to our emails.

    We eventually connected Jet Airways to MMT ourselves and Jet airways asked MMT to initiate our refund. It has been over 3 months and we haven't heard about our refund. This is frustrating and time consuming and we do not appreciate being lied to. DO NOT USE MAKEMYTRIP, THEY DON'T REFUND YOUR MONEY even when they are supposed to.
