I must admit I was getting very discouraged trying to reach anyone through the toll free numbers and emails provided with the initial reservation confirmation. I was only successful after I did a "chat" with Isabella, Agent **. Isabella was very professional and very helpful. I then received an email from Miurica ** who confirmed my booking would be rescheduled and the funds I had paid for my initial booking transferred over to the second booking.

I am so very thankful that you have agreed to refund me for this hotel. I was scheduled to attend accepted students day at ECU on Saturday. When I made the reservation I did not realize I wasn't speaking to the hotel reservation desk or that it would be non-refundable so I was panicked when I got the word that the event was cancelled due to the state mandate for no gatherings over 100 people. I really could not afford to just lose this money. Thanks so much!

Updated on 03/30/2020: I'm a military active duty and I have to cancel my reservation due a mission cancelation, I received an email telling me I will get my refund in about 14 days, at this time I still waiting my money back. I talked to customers service and they told me they will review my case and I don't see the refund. My credit card is a government credit card that I will have to paid in full if I dont get the refund for a service I didn't used.
Original Review: I being calling the customer service department for days, I being sending emails and I don't get any response back, I cancel my reservation the same date I make it and even though I get a email back telling me I get my refund back they charge me $745.00 dollars.

Asked for reservations in an extended stay for a new employee. They stated the establishment I requested had no availability so they moved my new employee to another extended stay facility which turned out to be a regular hotel room. I called to move my employee and received absolutely no help. After going to the hotel and arranging early checkout, which HotelPlanner charged double for, I moved my new employee to the original establishment I requested. HotelPlanner's practices are unethical and borders on criminal. Feel free to call for more details.

Refund and cancellation. It took a while to reach a customer relations person on the phone but once I did the service I received was amazing. The process was quick and I received a confirmation email less than 24 hours after speaking to someone. I will definitely be going through this site again.

Due to the coronavirus I needed to cancel my reservation in Florida at the Holiday Inn. I called the Holiday Inn and they told me I needed to call Priceline then I called Priceline and they told me that I needed to call HotelPlanner. I called HotelPlanner three times each time. They said you’re now being transferred to a representative but I never got a representative because it came back on and said they were very busy to leave a number and they will call me back it took two days before I got an answer or call back.
Finally I got so frustrated because no one would return my call so I called the hotel back and they said they would do what they could for me. Within no time I had an email from Reginette ** who answered all my questions in one email was very helpful and I responded to her and told her so and she in turn responded back to me, you need more employees like her. I know everyone is very busy because of this coronavirus however you should not tell someone that you are going to connect them to a representative and then you don’t. I’m not sure I will use a third-party again to book a reservation.

Hotel Planners was instrumental in securing a refund from my hotel even though I was past the cancellation deadline. Even with the chaos and heavy request volume I was helped in a professional and timely manner. I was not even assessed penalty fees for the late cancellation. Very grateful!!

These people were terrific. I knew when I booked the room, there was a penalty involved if I cancelled the reservation past a certain date. That date passed and because of family concerns over the Coronavirus I cancelled at the last minute. There was virtually no hesitation in granting me a full refund which I very much appreciated. Because of their kindness and professionalism, I will make sure I book with them every chance I get in the future and refer friends to them at every opportunity.

Requested assistance online chat from Miurica ** | Customer Service Representative, iro of needing a hotel booking cancellation through the Agoda Hotelplanner, as the online cancellation with the hotel wasnt available, due to travel restrictions. Your agent was kind enough to contact the hotel on my behalf via email, and then do a follow up with them, when they hadn't responded, to ensure cancellation was done. Great service and wonderful app hotel planner. Will definitely be using again for my future tour groups, once the virus has been sorted
My only complain would be with some of the conditions imposed by the hotel/s with regards to group hotel booking cancellation. An example is Best Western Karon, who stipulate a 30 minute cancellation window only, once you book the accommodation, 3 months in advance. Terms are also badly written in English, with no concise understanding, which makes it extremely difficult to ensure compliance. This is unjust and extremely unprofessional.

I have a reservation for Mar 15-17 and am trying to cancel my reservation from Mar 4 and no one answer is from customer support. Left message, tried chatting with them in Live Chat, no one answers. Tried sending them inquiry message and it gets error. Very Very frustrated. Reservation folks can't see upcoming reservation numbers nor can they help in cancellation. Based on the way they are doing business I will not get my refund, that's what they want.

I wanted to thank Karen ** for her fast and efficient response. I work for an NGO and am based in Philippines and not used to travelling in the States. I recently had a planned business trip to Washington DC cancelled because of CONVID 19. One hotel I booked wouldn't cancel my reservation even though it is more than 2 weeks in advance. Me and my wife booked and paid for a nonrefundable stay at NH Lingotto in Turin Italy 6- 9 of March. Because of the circumstances with Corona virus we had to cancel this. I know that it's my loss and nothing I can ask economical replacement for. But anyway we emailed customer support about cancellation. How Reginette ** then handled this is well beyond our expectations!!! We will be refunded in full, anyway. Reservation at Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Leesburg - I purchased a nonrefundable booking for two nights to subject hotel. I had a medical emergency which required me to cancel the booking. Because of the medical emergency, I was given a curtesy cancellation with a full refund. This was extremely accommodating since they did not have to agree to the refund. Thank you very much.

I made two reservations around 4:30pm(CST). There was no option for tax-exempt during booking; I called them right after completing the reservation, was told to email the tax-exempt form, and I emailed it right away; heard nothing from them; called this morning around 9am(CST), was transferred to some "escalation team", left a voice message requesting a refund of the tax amount; exchanged several emails with one "Customer Service Representative", who insisted that the only way to get my tax amount back was to make another reservation for a higher price; I responded that this proposal was not fair and requested a full refund. I left another voice message around 11:30am(CST), emailed her at 11:46am, called again around 2pm asking for her supervisor, left another message, called again around 3:10pm, left another message, never heard back; oh I almost forgot, the hotel price they provided was higher than on the hotel's official website.

I had a reservation to take my best friend to the Hilton at Singer Island in Palm Beach Florida, to celebrate her 60th Birthday. We were ready to leave the house when she received a phone call advising her that her Dad was rushed to the hospital (he is 85). Thanks to Ursula ** help I was able to cancel my reservation and receive a refund. Not only she help me with the cancellation but she was on top of things to make sure that I was treated fairly due to the emergency. She was very pleasant and personable. We were traveling to my brother in law's funeral, we ran into severe snow in the mountains, we had to go back. As you can imagine this was a rough decision to make. When I could get cell service I called Days Inn in Flatwoods and explained. They were so nice. We have stayed there before. They said they would refund the room's price if possible. I made a hotel reservation and then cancelled it and I was completely satisfied with how this was handled. The person with whom I made the reservation was helpful and knowledgeable. Through a misunderstanding I requested the cancellation the day after the deadline for doing so without financial penalty. The person I spoke to this time handled an awkward situation very well, and promised to pass on my request to someone who dealt with such situations. The following day I received an e-mail saying that my request for cancellation without financial penalty had been granted. In summary, I was very pleased with the way my reservation and my cancellation request were handled.

Absolutely horrible experience. Made a prepaid reservation with these folks only to be called while on my way to vegas (from Southern California 4-5hour drive) that the hotel I booked with were overbooked. The entire drive to Vegas I was on the phone trying to get some help and HotelPlanner was not able to help me at all. All they could tell me was I had to wait to call customer service the next morning.
Still today getting the same b/s from customer service reps. Amanda was rude as hell, Darby and Ferdinan were so unknowledged and didn't seem to care to help me at all. The only one who was nice and helpful was Alina but that was it. Never never never will I book through hotel planner. Horrible customer service. Priceline was who ended up finding me a room and I did not go through them whatsoever to do this booking. Email me if you want more details. **. I will give you all the horrible details on what I went through with these guys.

I would like to give big compliments to Karen ** regarding a booking back in September 2019. Back in September I had booked a hotel for 10 days in São Paulo, Brazil. Due to certain reasons I had to go to from LA to Europe first, which caused me to rebook a few flights and I ended up spending a lot of money on reorganizing my trip. I called Hotelplanner to let them know my situation and told them that I would like to check into the hotel in Brazil 3 days later than my initial check in date. For some reason it became a very complicated process in order to be able to check in 3 days later. I let Hotelplanner know that I didn’t care about getting a refund for the first 3 days that I wasn’t gonna be able to check in. My main concern was keeping the room that I had already paid for, so that my hotel room wouldn’t be given away due to late check in..
I understand that every company has their own policies when it comes to late check ins and I understand that the Hotelplanner employees I initially talked to did not write these policies and they have to abide to the company rules. However, I felt like the situation was made way more complicated than it could have been. I was told that my late check in request had to be sent to Hotelplanner’s “reservation agents” and that they would have to contact the hotel to negotiate what would be possible. I was promised to get an email about my request and would be updated.
I decided to call the hotel myself and I was simply told that the hotel doesn’t have an issue with a later check in, but since my room was booked through an agency, the agency needed to make the adjustment. The 2nd time around when I called Hotelplanner, I had somebody on the phone who clearly didn’t care, and I was told the same thing the first person at Hotelplanner told me about the reservation agents.
Another day passed by, 2 days before my initial check in date, and I still hadn’t received any email about my late check in request. I decided to call Hotelplanner one more time and luckily I got Karen ** on the phone. I explained Karen my situation and told her that I didn’t care about a refund, I just needed to make sure that I can check into the hotel 3 days later. Karen told me she would check with the hotel and she would call me back 15 min later. 5 minutes passed by and Karen called me back to let me know that everything was fine and that I was all set.
I would like to give Karen ** huge compliments for making this whole process so efficient and easy for me. Had I stuck to the first 2 people that I talked to, then I would have probably not booked with Hotelplanner ever again, but after seeing how Karen handled the situation, I can say that I will definitely book through Hotelplanner again.

I made a reservation 1/31/2020 through HotelPlanner. One night stay. Paid in full online using your service. I arrive at the Hotel America Inn they had no record of my reservation. They said I needed to pay them for the room. Well I informed them with details, email receipt confirmation. Did not get the room. My Amex card billed. Never got the room. Here it's February 12th eight business days later no refund. This was just awful experience. I will never use Hotel Planner ever again.

I was stranded at the Bangor airport in Maine due to weather and mechanical problems on an Allegiant flight to Florida. When I attempted to book a room at the 4 Points by Sheraton at the airport, I was told it was full but another room could be booked at a nearby hotel. I clarified at least 2 or 3 times that I was in Bangor. After having to leave the gate area, I checked my email and discovered that a room had been booked in L.A. This is when I called to cancel and have this matter resolved. I was very tired and upset since I had been sitting in a plane for 4 hours before having to get off again. Apparently the ph.# services a number of organization, so it took me a while to finally get to you. This was rather frustrating. In the mean time I called the property the reservation was made with and they indicated I needed to contact the organization that made the reservation, which as I mentioned was problematic. I explained my situation to your reservation dept. They sent information to your customer service and why I needed to cancel, or that is what they indicated they were going to do. They tried to connect me to customer service, but I was never able to speak to anyone.
A few days later I was told no refund could be made. I would have to contact the property. I did. I explained the situation, they said there would be no problem cancelling and refunding, that your organization had not told them why I needed to cancel so they declined. They indicated I needed to have your organization contact them again to clear this up. It appears that it has been straightened out, but it was a rather annoying process and it seems I had to do the "leg work" and you acted as a middle man that delayed the process. Perhaps there was poor communication between your reservations dept. and customer service. Hope this helps with future customers.

I made a reservation on Janurary 29, 2020 and was told there was no hidden charges, at Howard Johnson's on Vine street Orlando Florida. Well when I went there they charged us 8.99 a night plus 50 deposit. Well when we were in the room around midnight we saw 4 cockroaches. I went to the desk the next day and they put us 4 doors down, I could not leave because my daughter put the charges on her credit. I had no money until the 1st of February. I called and the supervisor gave me a hard time, telling me that the person who booked it told me which was a lie. Also when I told her about the roachers she didn't seem to care. I would never ever recommend this company and will put it on Facebook also.

I was able to follow up with the hotel and the department handling your reservation and the hotel advised that upon your complaint to the front desk in regards to the issue with your room they reacted by providing you with a new room and you were given an upgraded room at no additional cost.
In addition, the fees charged by the hotel is a separate charge for the services provided that cover the shuttle to the main area theme parks, the safe in your room, and the use of the computers in the lobby. The hotel charges all room nights these fees to keep the cost manageable and the services are there for those who wish to use them.
As such the hotel agreed as a courtesy to refund 50% of your reservation cost and a refund has been processed on our end for 50% of the total cost of your booking and you can expect that refund to be allocated back to your account in the next 7 - 14 business days.

I made two hotel reservations for my son's upcoming wedding through the "call center" rather than through the hotel directly. I was not aware I was dealing with a call center and later was advised that a group of rooms had been set aside for the wedding family. The reservations I made were non-refundable but I reached out to the Support and got Sarah **. She was able to get my room charges refunded (over $1,000) in order that I could then make my reservations through the hotel. She was extremely professional and diligent. In fact I told her she was amazing for her assistance in this situation. Thank you again Sarah for all your assistance. Being in another state and trying to make reservations for my son's wedding was a little taxing because I was going by the information on the Save the Date card and it was not accurate for his group reservations. I received my refund within 5 days of being notified it had been cancelled. Thank you.

When I made my reservation for two nights, March 13th and 14th, I was informed that it was non-refundable. I am a lawyer and on the very next day, I received a court notice stating that I would be starting a jury trial on March 11th (the start date had been unknown prior to this notice.) Thus I couldn't spend the two nights at the hotel. When I was put in contact with Hotel Planner, I found them very attentive and responsive. They told me that although they could not guarantee a good result, they would look into it and do their best, which I am very pleased to say they were able to obtain. It was a very positive experience dealing with them.

I booked late a night for a wedding party. I thought that since it was through the wedding party the dates would automatically load. When I booked I noticed that the date was for the following day. I received a confirmation for a booking at my hotel. I thought that was odd since I had no booking from HP. Come to find out the name of my hotel was correct, but the address of the hotel was my former HIE hotel address. I called the client and she confirmed she booked at my former hotel...not my current hotel. I appreciate so very much the help I received from Karen today from live chat. I had reserved 3 rooms for 2 nights in Franklin Tennessee. Today I got a call from my mother-in-law saying they wouldn’t be coming to Tennessee because of sickness. My reservation was made two weeks ago with HotelPlanner.com and I could cancel by the 30th if needed with no charge. Well today is the 31st and I just was notified by my in-laws they couldn’t come and here I had reserved a room for them that now I didn’t need. I felt very frustrated at the situation.
I first tried calling Days Inn directly but they couldn’t do anything because I had made the reservations through HotelPlanner.com. So I tried calling twice and couldn’t get to talk to a person. So then I saw the live chat and tried that. April came on and talked for a little bit but then somehow I got bumped off of live chat. Now I was really frustrated.
I clicked on live chat again and got Karen. She said she had seen my live chat and asked for a phone number to call me. She called me and within 3 to 4 minutes she helped my frustration reduce greatly. I could finally explain my dilemma of needing to cancel one of the 3 rooms and also add a night to one of the other rooms. Karen not only was able to add a night to one of the rooms but also to get the cancellation fee waived.
Wow Karen. I owe you a huge thank you. Thank you so much for helping someone who’s not use to this online stuff and feeling very frustrated not at Karen but at the situation I was dealing with. And I’m sure she could hear it in my voice. Within it seemed like minutes Karen had emailed me with great news!! I appreciated her prompt attention to my crazy situation. We had inadvertently been directed to this site when booking a room for an upcoming wedding, and ended up booking a room at a rate significantly higher than what had already been arranged with the hotel. We were concerned in that the booking we made said very clearly that no refunds were permitted. Upon realizing our error we called Hotel Planner, and after some efforts, were connected with a Charity **, who proved to be most helpful and understanding. There was absolutely no pushback or arguing, she understood our situation and promised to have the full amount we paid credited back to us. This was done within the hour. I made reservation for a wedding that will be held on 04/26/20 however due to the earthquakes and tsunami warning not to mention the political riot's not far from the resort I have decided to cancel my travel date due to safety concerns. After monitoring and thinking it long & hard my husband and I have decided to cancel and under the circumstances mentioned I rec'd an email telling me that a refund will be issued. However there will be a penalty of a one night stay. Which by the way it's really unfair considering that is out of my control and I refuse to take a chance to expose my life to danger (earthquake/tsunami/political riot's) the fact that the hotel says it will be okay nothing to worry about "THEY CAN NOT ASSURE YOU THAT THE CHANCES FOR A TSUNAMI WILL NOT HAPPEN". Extremely disappointing. I hope this is read and someone would refund 100% of what I paid.

I booked a hotel through this company in on December 4th. They immediately charged my credit card. On January 23rd. (3 days before our arrival date) they informed me that they don’t have a room for me and my 4 grandchildren. They said they would reserve at a different hotel. I reluctantly agreed. I tried calling them 6 times today and wasn’t able to get through. I finally received a reply to my email but NOTHING has been confirmed. I have to wait until tomorrow. I guess they expect me and my grandchildren to sleep in the streets? No apologies. Nothing. So disgusted.

On Thursday, January 23, we received an email from our rate provider informing us, that the hotel would not be able to honor your reservation and they would like to relocate you to a different hotel. Understanding, that this would be an inconvenience to our client, the rate provider offered an upgrade for this new booking. Our agent also emailed you, suggesting that you may want to cancel with full refund, so you could book your own reservation.
On Friday, January 24, you replied to us via email, requesting that we proceed with the relocation rather you going ahead and booking your own reservation. Given the fact that it was Friday and your reservation was for Sunday, the agent working on this case turned this relocation request over to a co-worker that was working on Saturday. That was to ensure that everything would be followed-up in a timely manner. You were informed and also given the contact information of the new agent working on your relocation. On Saturday, this agent promptly followed-up with the rate provider, placing several phone calls, ensuring that your new reservation was secured and confirmed.
On Saturday, January 25, you received an email from our agent, confirming your reservation at the new hotel and you were also provided with all the booking details. At that time, we received an email from you indicating that you already booked a new reservation and you did not want to relocate anymore.
Unfortunately, we have no control over the hotel's decision to cancel 3rd party bookings to make room for reservations that are more lucrative to them. Please also be advised, our timeline to complete a relocation request, depends entirely on the response time of the rate provider. Additionally, through this entire process we have been in constant contact with you and kept you always informed of the progress.

When I went to book online a hotel it said two queen beds as we have four people. Once I got the confirmation it had said two twins. So I have reached out to Hotel Planner and they contacted the hotel and made sure we got two queen beds. They were excellent and wonderful to work with. Very pleasant.

Charity ** was wonderful to work with today regarding changing my hotel reservation. She connected with me right away about changing my hotel reservation from 1 queen bed to 2 beds. She told me via phone that she was going to reach out directly with the hotel and negotiate getting the room changed to 2 beds even after I had already purchased the room. She was able to make the change at no charge. Very responsive. Fixed in 15 minutes. Thank you Charity!

I reserved a hotel for a family wedding and found out they had put the wrong hotel address on their wedding wire site. I booked at the correct hotel, but the previous rooms were a no cancel/no change reservation. Karen ** worked with me on the situation and resolved the error as a complimentary cancellation. As a Hilton Honors member, I appreciate the courtesy as I am still staying at a DoubleTree, just not the one originally listed on wedding wire. She was very helpful.

TV in room not working properly. Remote not working. Front desk tried to help. No other rooms available. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean. Like the dark curtains as many do not have this. I would use this hotel again, easy to find also.

A friend and I had booked the night of Dec 31 and then later the night of Dec 30 at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Knoxville, TN. My friend's dad suffered a heart attack the morning of Dec 28, causing us to need to cancel the trip. When I called to explain the situation and hope for a refund, the situation was turned over to Sarah **. She asked for documentation, which the hospital was able to provide. A short time later, she let me know refunds would soon be coming, and they were put back on my credit card very soon. She was always easy to communicate with and very accessible. I appreciate her work and the way she did it very much!

I was told to rebook my rooms because I didn’t want them for 2 days just 1 day. One of the rooms was a pay now and I was not aware of it and called to see why it had came out my account so I had to pay $25 and the rest is refundable. I am dissatisfied with the experience because when I called the first time the lady told me I needed to contact Red Roof hotel to find out. When I called red roof they told me I needed to call this 3rd party back. The lady that emailed me and canceled my bookings did get back to me really fast. I would give her a 5 STAR.

Please note that depending on the type of reservation that you booked there are certain restrictions in place in regards to amending a reservation and with your reservation we could not amend this reservation as reason being you were advised to cancel and rebook for the correct date that you needed.
Per the policy that you agreed to at the time of booking did indicate that to cancel the reservation there would be a $25.00 USD cancellation fee and I do show that the reservation was cancelled and you were issued a refund less the fee agreed to at the time of booking - this refund was processed back to the same account information you provided at the time of booking.
I am sorry that we could not provide you with the specific response that you were looking for, but it is very imperative to be certain of the dates that you want to reserve your reservation so that you can avoid any penalty issues.

Instead of issuing a refund, my card was charged again. In turn my account was made to go in the negative consequently making the funds I needed to pay me storage bill unavailable. Which dominoes into a one hundred dollar late fee being added to my bill. I am very upset that this has happened. The things in my storage hold sentimental value as well as monetary value. I did not budget for an extra 100 dollars. I can not afford to cover this cost. Something needs to happen to correct this problem...

UPDATE:
We are able to verify that the hotel mistakenly billed you for your prepaid reservation and as such a refund in full was issued for your reservation back on January 21st, 2020 and the funds should be back in your account.

I had a booking at the Murphy's Inn Motel for a one night stay on Saturday. The night before I became sick. On the morning of my stay I called to cancel my reservation. I knew the policy that I would lose my deposit. The hotel was kind enough to wave the charge. My wife and I will stay at this hotel in the next couple of mounts for wine tasting in the area. Very nice people.

Our company stays at the Days Inn all the time, our main office is in Sacramento. Susan ** makes all of our reservations there, but this time she was out sick and at the last minute I had to go to San Jose for a defense litigation meeting. So I made the reservation myself, or we would not be having this review. When I got down to San Jose the 2 day meeting was canceled, so I just was going back to Sac. I first stopped by the Days Inn to make sure I could Cancel, I spoke to Sudeep ** the General Mgr. and he knew how much our company stays there and said he would not charge me but I would have to call the company that booked the room.
So I did and explained the situation and they said they would call Sudeep to make sure he was ok with not charging me, and if that was the case they would get back to me in 24 to 48hrs. and give me yes or no on the refund. I did not get a call but did receive an email giving me that news and that is fine, so thank you. It has been a positive experience and I thank all involved.

Room at Surestay Hotel in McPherson KS. I had a special request and Karen ** went the extra mile to make sure my name was added as the second person on the reservation. I paid for the room and made the reservation but it was complicated by my cousin needing to check in a day before me. As a result his name was put on the reservation instead of mine because he is the first person to check in. I was concerned that my name did not appear on the reservation which could cause problems if my cousin did not show up (he lives in a different city and we are not travelling together). However, Karen managed to add my name which solved the problem. Thank you!!

I would like to thank Ursula who helped me receive a refund for two of my bookings. I reached out to her by email to which she promptly replied with a very professional and courteously written email. I keep getting invoices from Hotel Planner that have been paid. I have called and written Roxana ** numerous times about this situation. I have provided proof of payment. However, I never get a reply or call back. I have advised numerous sales managers that I will not do business with Hotel Planner until a get communication from Ms. ** or her supervisor.

I have left voice messages for Ruth ** and sent an email to confirm my payment was received and my reservation has been confirmed. Yet to hear anything back. It has been 2 business days and still no response. I completely understand being busy and overwhelmed however even a response saying "I have received your email I will work on this and get back to you" would have been acceptable. I have also called the Main: 1-800-898-1347 for the past 2 days you get a message saying you will be transferred but you don't. It repeats several times then sends you to a voicemail. Guess I will have to keep waiting.

Charity ** was extremely helpful and even offered to call the hotel for me to confirm my reservation. When I called, they did not see the reservation, but she informed me that it can take 24-48 hours. She will follow-up for me and will confirm my reservation with me.
