    Updated on 04/30/2022: Unfortunately my refund of $809.60 from Hotel Planner is not a priority. Since original cancellation on March 4th of 2022 and the cancellation being confirmed by Best Western (no funds transferred to them) I have been held at the mercy of your company and keeping my original charge of $809.60 for your own.

    Original Review: On 03/04/22, I made a reservation to Best Western Gateway to the Keys and canceled 40 minutes later due to illness. Still waiting for credit to my VISA, have been told yes then no depending on what decision.

    I booked a room Wednesday 3/9/22. I am traveling to Rhode Island this weekend for a basketball tournament. The room I originally tried to book kept going up on prices while I was on the phone with the agent so she ended up finding me another hotel four mins away from the original hotel and a cheaper rate. Turned out the Team was staying at a whole different hotel with a group rate. I was eligible for a refund that I had booked but when I requested I was given two options (full refund or refund with a voucher).

    I picked the 2nd option and found out the full refund was the actual voucher for free hotel. I misunderstood the options and emailed the company back. The 1st response was "please explain reason" then response was they sent me the voucher. I wanted the money back not a voucher which I tried to explain. The 2nd message stated they were working on it and would get back to me. 8 days later no response and there was a charge on my card for the amount of hotel. I called the number on the bottom of the conf # and Reginnett responded asap. She was very nice and fixed the problem with no issues.

    I had a reservation that I cancelled. When I went to look at my visa statement I wasn’t refunded all my money. I tried several times to reach your company, spoke to several agents and was a assured that I would get all my money back.     We booked a room for three night in Daytona Beach. I called and confirmed before we drove 4.5 hours to get there. Our reservation was confirmed and we even received a text message confirmation. We arrived and the hotel did not have our reservation. There were rooms available and they could get hundreds of dollars more per night so they would not accommodate us since we booked through a third party. The hotel tried to bully us by offering us the room for three times more than we paid for the room because there was a Daytona 500 race and they could get $800.00 a night for their $80.00 a night room. Beware of this 3rd party booking site. They could care less about us and only offered to give us a refund. It was fun trying to find a room for 3 nights in Daytona Beach when the Daytona 500 race was that weekend. What a JOKE.

    My service dog and I are are in my car, cold at almost 1 a.m. I had made a reservation for a 4 star hotel in Colorado. I told the nice lady that my main concern was finding a nice hotel in a good area and a place that would accept my service dog. The lady and I went thru the different hotels and the pet policies. She even suggested I get a letter from my Dr stating this was my service dog. At that time I was pleased with her service. However, when I went to check in I was told that they didn't have any more rooms for animals and that the reservation had not said anything about needing an animal friendly room I went from pleased to scared pretty quickly. I sat in the lobby and cried, unsure of what I could do. I've had the worst migraine for 2 days and had been getting sick all day while driving with my poor service dog who was cooped up in My little car for 2 days!

    I felt so bad and so I called the place that had made the booking and the 1st time I called the lady said she would figure this out. She said they would be giving me a refund. I told her I just wanted a room for the night. I pleaded with her and explained the pain I was in and that I didn't know what I would do if I didn't get a room. I told her the really bad experience I had gone thru the night before at another hotel and how I was unable to sleep because of how bad the conditions had been at the other hotel. I was on hold and I think our call got disconnected. She never called back. The 2nd time I called I was also put on hold and disconnected. The 3rd time I called I talked to a man who laughed at me when I told him I had no place to go and suggested they pay for a room for me since they had messed up. He then hung up on me.

    The 4th time I called I actually reached a very nice lady, the only one that really tried to help me. She said she was sorry for what had happened and said she would work on getting me a voucher for the night. She even called a motel and found a room that would take me and my service dog tonight. She said the voucher should be in my email in 30 min, not longer than an hour. I waited for an hour and 30 min. I called back and I talked to a man that I was told was the "supervisor". From the moment he took my call he was incredibly rude and mean. He told me I may get the voucher in 24-48 hours. I told him that I had no place to go and that my dog and I were cold and scared and had been told we could get a room and to watch for the voucher. He told me it was not his Problem and that he didn't care where my service dog and I went.

    When I told him I felt he was rude and that I wanted the name of his boss he said no. That he was the highest up boss and that I would not be allowed to talk to anyone else. He was cold as ice and did not care that I was in pain or scared. He didn't care that I had no idea even where I could legally park or that I had been throwing up all day from this horrible migraine and just needed a bath and a bed. He was cruel to me and never apologized for anything. As a matter of fact it was quite the opposite! He let me know that it wasn't his problem and straight told me he didn't care. I was a sales manager for the state a few years back and if anyone in my company made a mess up (which is going to happen) I would take money out of my personal account to pay for the mess up or put that family in a hotel or whatever I needed to do to make the situation right for our customer.

    I at times took several thousand dollars out of my personal account without even a thought because I would not have been able to sleep knowing that a customer would go without or be in any way harmed by a mess up that the company made. My company was very amazing and always reimbursed me. However, even if they had not, I still would have done it because it was what was right to do. I have always thought that it isn't about the company messing up that shows their character... but the way they deal with those mess ups that really shows the character. This company didn't care that my poor dog and I would be cold and sitting in my car miserable tonight. This company didn't take any responsibility for their mess up. I do not blame the nice lady that helped me make the reservation, even though she messed up. It was all the others that could have cared and didn't. All the others that should have done something, but didn't.

    See they did refund me the money however I will not be able to that refund for 3-10 business days. Since I now don't have that money I could not go book another hotel. I will be here less than a week for a memorial for my mother. This company didn't care why I was here. They didn't care why I needed to sleep tonight so I could be rested for the very emotional day I will have tomorrow. This company was cold and just didn't care about anything. This is the worst service and has really put me in a scary situation. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy because they are quick to take your money and slow? Or maybe even never going to fix the problem you have that they created. I guess you'll be lucky if they even acknowledge any wrong doing and say sorry.

    I truly hope both of the men that did not help me get fired. I also hope this company will sit down and come up with better ways to help the customer if they put us in a bad situation. I hope they will teach empathy and true customer service because that should be what matters. I hope they will never let some poor lady and her dog freeze in a car again! However, I just think this may be some high hopes for a company that laughed in my face tonight when I shared that I was scared!

    Hi, This transaction began okay with the hotel connecting me to this service. I gave them the dates that I would need the rooms and the man I spoke to got our dates completely wrong. I didn’t know this until they sent me an email with a new contact. I called her the next day and left a message. No reply. I called again and did the same thing. No reply. I also emailed specifically and never heard back from any of them!!! I’m just glad that I found out how flaky they are this far in advance because it could have been a huge disaster working with people like this when doing an event.     I tried to book a room for our family vacation over Thanksgiving weekend. The agent at Hotelplanner.com told me they only had 1 room left at the hotel we were looking at-- a single Queen bed. I explicitly said we were 4 persons (2 adults, 2 children) and could not fit on one queen bed. He asked, "what kind of room do you need?" I told him ideally 2 queen beds (adult + child in each), but we could likely all fit in 1 bed if it was a king. Suddenly he announced they DID have a room with a king bed and I got a confirmation for that room -- but he went ahead and booked a queen bed with the hotel, anyway.

    We arrived after a FIVE hour drive with 2 little kids to a sold out hotel that showed me that hotelplanner.com only booked a single Queen bed for us. They had no other beds, no cots or pullout sofa. Half my family had to sleep on the floor. Hotel planner.com initially told me they would issue a full refund because it was their mistake but then did not, citing the we used the room so we had to pay for the queen bedroom. But we had no other option upon arrival! My kids stayed up all night and we didn't sleep. It ruined our vacation. TERRIBLE customer service, and suspicious sales tactics by hotelplanner.com.     The customer service we received has been terrible. Once I finish with the most recent transaction, I will never use them again. I got introduced to this through my Membership in USAPA. It was supposed to be a benefit. We had a problem in September where we were put in the wrong hotel, I tried to switch to the proper location, same chain 10 miles away, but they could not help me.

    On the plus side they did say they would issue a voucher. Today 11/27 I found out the voucher had never been issued. With a simple phone call this was fixed. So I tried to use the voucher today. It did not cover my entire bill. I thought I had added enough funds, but had missed the taxes. I can no longer add funds. I called the number they gave me and was transferred 3 times, hung up on once. Still not able to add the funds so I can complete my reservation after 30+ minutes on the phone. I also looked and by going through HotelPlanner this room was costing me $35.00 more than if I booked it direct on my own...so where is the benefit in that. I would be happy to speak to a customer service person about this, hopefully one based in the United States.

    Customer service was awful trying to get a refund after my hotel had bed bugs. We had to check out early and they tried giving us a partial refund. Then I spend over an hour on the phone 3 different times trying to set things right and make sure all my money was refunded. Very bad communication between their hotels and them and horrible communication with their customers.

We were unable to previously issue a refund to you as you disputed the charge and once a charge is in dispute we cannot action any item on the booking until the dispute is closed. I do show that a voucher was issued to you, however you did not utilize the voucher prior to the expiration date so I do show that the voucher was expired in the system.

    I was able to follow up with the dispute department who confirmed that the dispute was closed in the merchants favor and as such, we can now process a refund for you booking. Please note that the refund has been processed in full (Refunded($XXX.XX) - refunds normally take between 7 to 14 business days to be allocated back to your account.

    Booked a hotel on HotelPlanner.com on June 3, 2021 for $251.11 online. Stayed at hotel on June 14, 2021 and was charged again for the stay there. I contacted hotelplanner.com multiple times with various representatives informing me that I would be reimbursed, but here I am sitting 5 months later with no reimbursement. Very poor customer service and very shady company. They continuously lie or apparently do not know how reimbursements work. :( Will keep trying and burying them in the ground on every site I can find. Trying to avoid civil suit such little money....

    They have me locked out of my account for past due invoices that I do not owe. The first was a cancelled group that I've submitted the necessary documentation proving they cancelled their block. And the second invoice is a duplicate reservation request to which I've also submitted documentation showing the duplication. I had been trying to contact someone for weeks prior to the first initial contact with a live agent & now its been another few weeks since trying to clear it up and my account is still frozen. I can't get ahold of anyone directly. I just have to keep sending emails to multiple accounts to get an answer from anyone. Very frustrated & disappointed with the service.

    Beware!!! I had called the customer service to make reservations as I was not able to book online. I wanted to book a 3 rooms with 10 occupancy and repeated told this to the rep who assured me that he is booking 3 rooms with 10 occupancy only, however upon receiving my confirmation email it said 3 rooms with only 1 occupancy per room. The rep on the phone assured me that he will modify the booking and disconnected my call.

    Called again and spoke to a different rep after waiting till eternity to cancel who again disconnected my call after hearing my story. Now the 3rd time I spoke to someone from the reservations department said that she can't cancel however I can cancel on my own within 24 hours and I will be refunded the amount. Needless to say I have cancelled my booking and waiting for the refund. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Hotel Planner, please refund my hard-earned money (approx $619 in total). Please don't make me pay for your reps' mistake. The Itinerary Number is ** and **.

    This is a SCAM--Beware!! I made a booking on 6/7/21 for 8/12-8/14 on The Knot website (for a wedding). I prepaid IN FULL with my credit card. I received notice on 7/20 that they (Hotel Planner) had a "system error" and my reservation had been re-booked (with a Voucher??) for LESS than what I had paid. (Yipee!!) To date, I HAVE NOT received a refund for my over-payment!! I have had to make numerous phone calls and emails (many of which were false) in which I was promised a refund. I DID stay at the hotel on my reserved dates (8/12-8/14) and yet received notice on 8/16 that my "reservation was successfully canceled". How is that possible?! I filed a complaint with the BBB and was again promised a refund from Briana **---I'm still waiting Briana--it's October 21st!!
