Extremely bad service, I had booked a SUV, but I have been told there are no more and gave me Nissan Sentra instead. He told me that if I am not happy, I can go to see somewhere else and wish me a good luck to find a car on 23 of December. The car was dirty. When I returned the car, another customer was having same problem. Looks like a trap, try to attract you, trap you with low price for SUV, but never available. Overall, I do not recommend this company.

Stay away because dealing with E-Z Car rental is not easy. The agent at the Orlando International counter took advantage of me! I told him I DID NOT need the supplemental liability insurance on the vehicle because I have insurance that covers rentals. He told me this was mandatory in the state of Florida because it was a no fault state and I could not get the car without signing for that I was charged 120 dollars for something I didn't want. When I called customer service to complain they offered me 20% of my next rental or 20% back from my 120 dollar, I flatly refused. Will never do business with this company again.

I could write for hours. The counter person Ahmad lied to me and tried tacking on extra charges, tried to slip in insurance. I caught it the first time, as it was double my quote. I got the tolls which was a mistake. Then he did another switch and bait to me that I missed by saying he would only do a $100 hold and not $200. I asked him repeatedly that there was not extra insurance. He lied to my face. I signed their little pad without seeing the full receipt. He lied to me again and said it wasn’t there.

Then I went through their scam of customer service. Obviously as scripted and practiced as their counter scam. I tried for two hours to get to the top of the chain but they refused me. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. Do not use them. Tell your friends. I want a full refund of my insurance $104 they lied to me. I want a call from Scott Davido the CEO and a refund before I will be satisfied. The customer rep Joseline and her “supervisor” Daniel were also rude and unhelpful. Again, do not use this company.

I loved the vehicle I rented from E-Z Rent A Car. It worked out perfect for us. We had filled the gas but we were forty miles from the Orlando Airport and when we returned it we knew we would have to pay for a gallon or two of gas. Beware the gas charge per gallon is almost $10 a gallon if you do not top it off. When I got the emailed invoice it had an almost $50 charge for gas. It took a lot of phone calls and emails to try and straighten it out (thus the 4 stars). It finally got to Hillary in customer service and after I sent her proof that I had filled the vehicle 40 miles from Orlando she did give me credit. Thank You Hillary!

Heavy pressure to buy E‑ZPass for tolls @ $10 per day. We declined. We paid every toll by cash. After we returned home, we received a bill for $18 for tolls, for just over $1 in actual tolls. Would not remove. Charged our card w/o authorization. Absolutely a scam. We paid every single toll. Very dissatisfied with customer service. Very frustrating. Will never use again.

Business model is to slap extra services on and hope you don't notice. Was reassured multiple times I was not selecting any additional services, as they flashed a multi-page contract on their tiny credit card reader. They waited a week to replace the security deposit with charges that came to 4x my contract. Instead of helping resolve the issue, their customer service reps actually quoted legal disclaimers that they're allowed to replace any prepaid agreement with a new one, and that nothing their agents tell you holds anyway. Visa is currently investigating their fraudulent charges.

Worst experience ever, from start to finish. I could write for days about how bad it was. The worst part was the attempt at charging me $400 extra for fees and Gas! "Manager" was a lying, scamming SOB! I am so glad we decided to double check the emailed receipt they sent to us as we were walking to our flight. I ended up refueled the car myself to save the $250 and it was a whopping 2.93 Gal total. But they got me by charging additional time fees when I took the car to refuel. We waited 30 min for them to bring back the car so I could fill it up. After a long time fighting with the manager, I still paid way over the online prepaid price! Upon arrival the line at EZ was so much worse than the other rentals, took 1 1/2 hours of my vacation just to get into the car! It was a Diesel car and was hard to find gas for.

I have been a repetitive customer of EZ Rent A Car for years and in my last reservation with Orbit I didn't pay attention of what the counter lady "Iris" did with my reservation and the prices I was originally quote by Orbit. When I went to the counter the lady took my reservation and canceled for no reason; when I say after several minutes "Do you need my itinerary number again", she say didn't need it and she was changing the reservation not notifying me about that; She offered me an update of the car then I told her, I already updated and I say no to that. However in my quote with Orbit I was quote:

    Due at pick-up: $129.47
    Base Price: $79.68

    Taxes and Fees: $49.79

And in the papers she make me sign I come up to this:
    RATE CHARGE 190.76
    RATE CHARGE Discount -19.08
E-Z TOLL 39.96 This was the only thing I add to my reservation.
    CONCESSION FEE 22.25
    STATE TAX 17.34
    VEHICLE LICENSE FEE 10.76
    CFC 14.00
    FLORIDA SURCHARGE 8.00

    TIRE BATTERY FEE 0.08

    Total Charges 284.07

This lady commit fraud probably to get paid more for a sale in commissions she didn't make and doing that, she also cut probably the commissions EZ Rent A Car probably paid to Orbit. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because this is an ethical and this person or people who pursue this type of business practices should be fired. Stay away, pay attention of what you paid because now it make me think I should pay more attention of what I have been pain all this years with EZ Rent A Car. Stay away!!!

I rented a car online with Travelocity for almost $13 per day. I rented a SUV in Denver International airport. The CSR was very friendly. She ask me about insurance. I refused the insurance because I have the mine. She told me that I had not worry with the gas because they have a better price than the gas stations. She told me that the final price would be $120. I asked about the price and she confirmed me $120.00. I assumed that the difference with the $67.00 I agreed with Travelocity was because the gas. It seems me a little high but I did not care because she told me that they will refund any gas not used. My credit card was charged for $220.00. I called the company. After several minutes I just could leave a voice mail and nobody return my call. This is my first and my last time using that Company.

My Wife lost her phone and it is impossible to contact the Denver office where we rented the car from. I filed a lost and found report and never received a reference number. In order to check on my claim I have to have a reference number. I have called every number given to me and everybody says the same thing like they are robots. You must call the lost and found number then they rattle of the number.

I called lost and found and it is all automated and it asks for my reference number that I never received. One lady even gave me a reference number and it didn't work on the website or on the lost and found phone number. How am I supposed to claim my phone if I can't contact anyone about it. I have been trying to contact lost and found in Denver for the last 5 days and no luck. I'm very upset with this company and their policy of not having a number for the store where I rented from. I may never use your rental agency ever again if this isn't resolved soon.

Beware of this company!!! We were blatantly lied to. The agent was so sweet and nice so we believed what she said. She told us to get the EZ pass which would take care of ALL tolls and assured us it was well worth it. That charge was 9.99. She also told us NOT to fill up the car with gas because they were the ONLY rental company that charged 2.79 for gas at fill up. I questioned her about the toll charge and the fuel charge, but she assured me that was correct. We ended up being charged over 50.00 for fuel and tolls and we brought the car back in less than 12 hours with over half a tank of gas! Our bill was more than doubled. When we called to refute the charges, we were told we signed and there was nothing we could do. We did sign an electronic device with nothing to read. We just believed our agent. We learned a valuable lesson... Never use this company and do not trust them. They LIE.

We booked on line, small rental car and we get there and they are completely out of cars, only have huge vans and trucks which we could not drive. Also, if we pay more, we can get one..way more. We ended almost not getting a car because of this company at all to get to our destination. Use any other company but this one. Worst experience we have ever had. Don't bother. The lineup was so long too for two companies and then we had to go find another company to deal with. Horrible experience.

We prepaid for a rental at the Denver airport (midsize vehicle/suv). Upon arrival, we were told that if we were going to drive anywhere in the mountains that we must have a 6-cylinder - but they (conveniently) only had a 4-cylinder reserved for us, so we would have to upgrade our vehicle. This would only cost us an “additional $75” so basically my rental ended doubling in price. Then we were asked about the EZ-pass toll and we said we didn’t think we’d need it. The gal said to just add it to our contract and if we didn’t use it, they would refund our money.

Unless you drive on E-470 or the designated lanes on the other roads, you do NOT need the EZ pass. One can easily navigate thru the Denver area without this. Also, we did not need a 6 cylinder either - we saw plenty of smaller cars in the mountains and read reviews from previous visitors who said they did just fine with a 4-cylinder, they were just slower, but capable. We returned our vehicle at 3:48 am when the building wasn’t open - after I got home, I called to inquire about my refund for the EZ pass and was told that I needed to dispute it when I returned it. Ummm, no one was there. Then they said “well you signed the contract”. They did give me 1/2 of it back but what a scam. I will never rent from this company again and I would caution anyone else to do the same. We were so ripped off by this company.

I understand that many people have great experiences with service providers and some of us don't. I am one of the those that DID NOT have a great experience with E-Z Rent A Car. The reservation was made, the online insurance per day was $8.95 which we selected. Once we arrived, they did not tell us they had no more vehicles, instead they try to beat around the park telling us that they needed to hold a $1000.00 to rent a Toyota Corolla, then $1000 vehicle insurance coverage, (which we had) and $3000 coverage. $3000 ???? for what, at that point I was DONE.

We have rented many vehicles in the past when we visit Orlando, and NEVER did they we need all this insurance. I called the EZ Rental where the reservation was made, and inform them of what happened they apologized, then put us on hold, came back and told us that the branch in Orlando did not have any more vehicles. Are you serious (I ask). With a reservation, you did not hold our vehicle? We ended up taking their Shuttle back to the airport and the public bus to our destination. NEVER AGAIN for us. I am happy many are pleased with the service they received. We were not.

I rented a vehicle at the Houston airport on October 10, the contract number is **. On the second day, the vehicle had failures, including the switching of the check engine light. In addition, the vehicle could not exceed 20 mph. In the call to the office, they told me that I should take the vehicle to the place where I rented it, since I was relatively close, about five miles. At no time were I given the option of trying to get to me in a safe way or send me a tow truck or a new car, although I told them that the vehicle was not in a condition to be driven. In total, it took me about half an hour to get to the rental place in the Houston Airport, in a journey where I felt in danger, since there were sectors where there were vehicles that were going more than 70 miles per hour. There was even a climb in which the vehicle looked like it would not reach the top.

Upon arriving at the offices in Houston, I was never offered an apology, even though I spoke with three different people. Nobody offered me compensation or apology and even one of the operators told me that since I had no insurance coverage purchased directly from E-Z in order to send me a tow truck, I should have paid $ 500. When I was offered a new vehicle, the rate had risen from $ 112 to $ 163. I let the person know that there was a mistake and after acknowledging it they gave me the contract again for $ 112. All this without having received an apology.

The new vehicle, another Hyundai Accent, gave me problems again the next day, Sunday, October 13, when the tire sensor light came on in the morning. Since I was very far from the office where I rented the vehicle, I decided to put the air on the tires myself. After that, the sensor light went out. However, on the morning of Monday, October 14, the tire sensor light was turned on again. After realizing that the tires seemed in good condition, I decided to continue to the airport office and deliver the car. All this experience gave me an important lesson, never to rent a vehicle with EZ, because it is clear that maintenance standards are not rigorous and that simply with an EZ vehicle you run the risk of a mechanical failure that may have consequences even fatal to the user.

We opted out of car insurance but our card was charged, paid for the EZ toll pass ($9.99/day) and the desk clerk said it would be visible on our dashboard- apparently newer rentals have it built into the license plate but we weren't told that. We ended up paying for the tolls, so we wouldn't get flagged for non payment. When returning the car, the second desk clerk didn't refund the EZ toll pass that we didn't use, and told us to speak to a manager.. There wasn't a manager anywhere to be seen. 6 weeks after returning the car, I was charged again for toll fees. Would never, ever rent from this car company again. It is worth the extra cash to deal with reputable companies that want to help their customers, not this trash business.

But when I left the agent's desk, there were now 49 folks in line... going out the door and down the sidewalk. When I returned the car three days later, a similar line going out the door existed. There were multiple un-staffed computer terminals; so this is definitely as staffing issue. My time is too valuable to have to wait in such a line again. Terrible experience. Worst than one star. This location in Montreal is by far the worst. Really bad customer services. This is my second time experience and will be the last. And both I felt like I've been robbed. Unexpected fees or added fees written with a pen. They weren't there the day I sign the contract. I wouldn't mind paying any extra fees if they were explained or at least mentioned to me at the time of the rental. At least I would have known what I'm agreeing to. Staff were very unprofessional. They didn't explain the fees and they're very rude when ask a question. They'll force you to take insurance even though you told them you already insurance or they'll just try to add without you noticing. I rented online with rentalcars.com. I was supposed to pay $152 for 4 days. They ended up charging me $249 with a bunch of ** fees.

Pick up service at the airport was very late and when I finally got picked up the driver was on personal call talking very loud the whole drive (unprofessional). These people at this location are very shady to the point I feel like they are very aware about what they're doing which in my opinion is stealing people's money. When you sign the contract they won't give you a copy because they know in advance they will add fees to it and probably with a pen. I was suppose to get a full size car (Ford Taurus or similar). I ended up with a small Nissan Sentra compact. JUST AVOID THIS LOCATION (MONTREAL). I have used EZRENTACAR before in different cities and it wasn't that bad.

I looked for a reasonable car rental company and thought that I found one. Stay away because dealing with E-Z Car rental is not easy. The agent Jose at the Orlando International counter took advantage of me! I told him I DID NOT need the collision on the vehicle because I have insurance that covers rentals. He told me to initial here right where it says COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER! I guess I'm the idiot that didn't read the fine print and took this agent's word. At the end of my transaction, I noticed my bill was for $565.23, not the $315.19 that was the price when I booked online. I questioned Jose about it and he said when you turn the car in they credit the collision back. I should have questioned him, but after a delayed flight I was exhausted and wanted to get on the road.

Upon picking up the car it was dirty, had several dents, and scratches. I called over a worker and he marked a few things down on a vehicle inspection ticket. I had to stop to clean the front window because it was so dirty I could not see out of it at night. I called customer service twice and was treated rudely. I was told they'd put in a complaint ticket and someone would get back to me within 24-48 hours. No one contacted me. I emailed an email I found on their website, but received no response. They offered me 20% off! No thanks! How about getting honest agents that don't purposely take advantage of the consumer! Pay the extra and go with a more reputable car rental agency, so you don't have to deal with this headache. The funny thing is on the Better Business Bureau there is a similar complaint, so it looks like this is common practice for this company!

Did a reservation on E-Z car rental, seeing a good deal in Expedia. Below are my experience from E-Z car rental. I would really really hope, if E-Z car rental team would take appropriate action do some justice to what troubles I faced.

    1) Actual Fare vs Quote Price. Below was the price Summary which I got while booking. Due at pick-up: $293.49; Base Price: $214.77; Taxes and Fees: $78.72; Paid: $60.00; Collision Damage Plan: $60.00. But the actual price I had to pay was 629.59 in which 73.30 was for the fuel charge which came extra. Even if we ignore that, the amount which I had to pay was almost double of what I got the quote for. I have the invoice with me, which I can provide if required.

    2. I had booked for a sedan car. But at the time of pickup, they told me that the sedan cars which they have is of fuel type diesel. Since I was not sure about the availability of diesel in all the gas stations in Yosemite and Lake Tahoe, I requested them to give me a regular gas vehicle. But instead they offered me a SUV which is of regular gas, but at an extra charge of 15$ per day, which added up to 75$ for my 5 days of car rental.

    3. I had booked the car in E-Z rental, 1 for the good deal, and next is for the location (SFO Airport). But when I reached there, the office seems to be 15 mins far from SFO airport. Hence I had to go by whatever they offered without negotiating, because there was no other choice for me, as no other car rentals was available next to that.

    4. The 2nd day of my car rental, when I was at a location 35 minutes away from the SFO E-Z rental office, I misplaced my car key inside the car and it got locked. Hence I called for roadside assistance, to help me to get the keys. They couldn't get any help for me and instead asked me to get a local locksmith. I looked for a local locksmith as per their advice and get it fixed. I had to pay 200$ charge to them. I have the bill with me. Later when I returned the car, I submitted the bill to claim, because I had paid extra (7.5$ per day) for roadside assistance. That time, the manager over there was behaving very rude. They didn't accept my claim first. Later they checked and told me that they didn't see my records in their roadside assistance logs. I had to show my call history from my mobile and it shows a duration of 9 minutes for that call. For which he said, I may be lying and I would not have really spoke to a customer representative, because it usually takes 5 to 10 minutes to connect to a roadside assistance call, as per him. Then to prove that, I called in front of him again and the call got connected in 25 seconds. So he had to agree. Later he spoke to his boss and paid the amount back. Is this the kind of service which we should expect???

I never ever had such a terrible service from any other car rentals so far. Whatever price, I had booked online, they kept the same price due for me, when I went for pickup. But with E-Z car rentals, I had to pay almost double. I have all the invoice and reservation details, if E-Z car rentals would like to verify the of my review.

I arranged this car rental through Expedia and was given a "Total Price" of $210.10 which was the Base Price and Taxes and Fees with a further disclaimer that stated "The total price includes all mandatory taxes and fees". I also requested A GPS that I knew would be more. When I arrived further fees were added bringing the total up to $357.47 and an additional $71.96 was added for the GPS. I asked what happened to the promised price and was told that additional fees were added! I'm basically extorted at this point to accept the car and begin my vacation.

When we try to use the GPS provided it literally takes a half hour to power up and then cycles off an on at random intervals, making it unreliable and useless. We wound up using our phones. When I tried to report it when we turned in the car I ran out of time waiting in line and had to rush to the airport to catch our flight. When I called to complain the best they would offer is 20% back on the GPS. So all in all my $210 rental cost me almost twice what I expected. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a rental car.

I arrived at Seattle airport at the equivalent of 3.0am in the morning. The receptionist seemed welcoming and helpful and immediately offered me a 'fantastic upgrade'. The paperwork I had indicated that I was going to have to pay £157 when collecting the car. After having my arm twisted to also have Roadside Assistance I was presented with a bill including the $200 deposit of $795. I eventually persuaded her that this was too much of an increase over what I expected and asked her to return to the basic car with no Roadside Assistance.

The bill presented to me was for $350 + deposit. I was handed the bill and added the figures up and they came to a lot less than the $350 shown. When I pointed this out the invoice was grabbed back from me, crumpled up and thrown in the bin. I was asked if I was accusing them for trying to cheat me. A supervisor then appeared and again compiled an invoice. This time the amount came to $203 + deposit. This finally was reasonably close to the figure expected. By this time nearly an hour had passed since I had arrived at the desk. I was exhausted and totally drained by the experience.

    Customer ServiceContract & Terms

On the day of we rented the vehicle we were asked if we wanted to purchase pre paid fuel. We said, "no." We clearly told the employee that we would return the car fueled the day we returned it. We then signed contract unaware that he added it anyway. It is abbreviated as FPO, and listed with all the other fees that are added with the purchase we just didn’t see it. When we returned the vehicle fueled we realized what we had paid for when it was printed out and clearly stated. We asked for a refund and it was refused. The employee said he was not authorized to give any refunds.

The only one that could refund us was the manager and he was not there. We had to e-mail him and that he would then refund the money. We felt we were cheated and tricked into paying for something we said no to. We called customer service and they would not connect us to the manager in San Antonio Airport. The only thing we could do is leave a message. They refused to give us a full refund for the gas. I would not recommend this company.

I read the reviews regarding renting E-Z cars at the Denver airport. The old "bait & switch". They quote you a low rental rate and then attempt to switch you to a higher priced car. I was not going to fall into this trap. Well, my flight from Boston was delayed and my wife's flight from CA landed on time. I texted her the rental information and had her pick up the car and then return to the airport to pick me up.

Well, they "bait & switched" my wife to the tune of a higher priced car costing $22 a day and for a 6 day rental. That's some money plus all the taxes and fees associated with the higher priced car. Not only that, she was told she needed the toll transponder at a cost of $10 a day. There is only one toll road in the Denver area, stay off Route 470 and you'll avoid the tolls. I'm from MA and I was told the E-ZPass does not work in CO. Here is the "bait & switch". They say if you are going to Pikes Peak, you need a "bigger" car, that's horse poop. Know where you are going in the Denver area to avoid the tolls so you can avoid the very high priced transponder and say no to any upgrade because you are traveling to Pikes Peak.

The pick up and drop off was fine. The car was clean and operated well, it's just the "bait & switch" that really pissed me off, taking advantage of my wife. Also, inspect your car before you leave. I only wish I was there when she picked up the car. I called the following day to complain and they told me I had to drive back to the airport to switch cars. Denver's airport is way out of town so I didn't switch the car. I suppose I should have.
