I will never book thru Cheaptickets.com again. I had a trip booked for 10 months. My parents became ill and I had to move to care for them. I got ahold of Cheaptickets to cancel my trip. I was told it was nonrefundable. I explained the fact it was a medical issue and that it couldn't be helped but still no help. So I lost out on close to 400.00 and they didn't care at all. I will NEVER book thru them again.

I purchased a ticket to the Caribbean for my brother's funeral who recently died of cancer because he was flown out the Caribbean country for treatment before he died his body had to be transported back home for the funeral. There was an issue getting the body home before the set funeral date, so the funeral was rescheduled for a later date. I had already booked a flight with Cheaptickets.com not because they were the cheapest but because it was under impromptu circumstances. They were the only agency at the moment that I got flights to and from my destination for the chosen dates.
Anyways, my brother's body couldn't get home by the funeral date so I called Cheaptickets to try to figure something out, cancel and get new travel dates or change my travel dates or get some kind voucher I could use towards purchase of another ticket. I didn't mind doing different dates putting my previous purchase towards the new ticket and paying the difference. After talking to all 3 airline companies that I would be flying with, each told me the same that I didn't book directly with them, I booked through Cheaptickets so they have no authority to refund or cancel.
I would have to get with Cheaptickets to get my ticket changed or refunded, so I called Cheaptickets again for the fourth time and customer service woman told me if I keep pushing towards getting my ticket altered, eventually I'm gonna get my ticket cancelled and I'm gonna lose my money. Anyways, I asked to speak to the supervisor on duty again, got the same supervisor I spoke to before and again apologized about my situation and conveyed sympathies to me and my family and said there is nothing they can do due to policy. I have a cheap flight internationally, one of the best rates and it's a restrictive flight. There is nothing they can do to help me. I will have to buy a new ticket to travel to my brother's funeral and that's all it going to come down too.

I paid $550 for tickets to two activities, a dinner cruise in Paris and going of the Eiffel Tower. Instead of delivering the tickets, they provided vouchers for me to have to pick up the tickets, which was very inconvenient. The contact information for the providers Paris was wrong or impossible and I was not able to make contact. CheapTickets provided the wrong telephone number and no address for one provider and was supposed to have me meet some guy outside some very crowded building. The vouchers were never issued, CheapTickets never paid the providers, and they refused to refund my money for tickets for services never provided.

No chance of cancellation or refund. I took if for granted, 1700 dollars worth, they would honour a cancellation. The service department is on Mars, English with a Martian accent. If you plan on using their site, understand they will not let you change the name, date, or cancel the ticket. Be absolute in your purchase, or use another service with a more flexible policy - a safe bet.

This is a formal complaint against the Beach Palace Resorts. My wife and I decided to take a very well deserved vacation with our two kids for a long week vacation from July 26 to August 1 of this year. We experience problems with Moon Palace, our arrival time was early morning, we had made arrangements to be pickup at the airport with the hotel, apparently the hotel did not mention the additional charge of $40.00 per person and they did not have me on their list to be pickup. I had to pay for a taxi to be taken to Moon Palace for $80.00.
Once we arrived, we waited over six hours for a room and was promised a room for my family with queen beds, instead the beds were two small full size beds. The room was located far away from any pools or restaurants on the resort. The walk to the room was far and not very impressive not to mention the sewer odor on the grounds. The pool was not very clean; the beach was not impressive at all. I requested to be transfer to the Beach Palace which took over two additional hours. We arrived at the Beach Palace around 8:00 pm and I had a room with a king size bed and two portable beds for my two kids. The room (127) had a view of the parking lot and partial view of the lagoon and not to mention the loud noise coming from AC fans right next to our room.
The following day, I requested a better room with the front desk attendant. Finally we were transfer two days later to a room facing the lagoon on the eighth floor (room 811). The following morning my wife and I woke with bites on our legs, chest, and arms from bed bugs. We were very upset and sick about the whole incident. I file a complaint with the manager on duty and she and their staff inspected the room and replace the beddings. I requested another room due to the current problem for my one day left for my vacation and they said "it's impossible, we are booked solid."
The following day, we spent the whole day indoors due to the appearance from the bug bites on our bodies. Just imagine sitting down next to a person with bites all over their bodies and trying to get some sun was impossible and painful. That same night my wife and daughter saw some bugs on the sheets and mattress and we call the management and they saw the bugs and moved us to the presidential suite. This was a nice gesture on their part; we spent the last night thinking of the bedbugs and did not get to enjoy our room or vacation. The following day, I spoke with the manager in charge, regarding the terrible experience and she implied the hotel will credit us for the inconvenience and she was going to credit us for any tours we had purchased.
For those who have shopped around and planned to book a room at Cancun Palace or any other Palace Resorts please be aware of the misleading $1,500 USD promotion. Technically, you can't use this $1500 credit to upgrade your room from a deluxe to an ocean-view, for example. However, you will be told that the room is not available every time you ask for the upgrade. Also, you may feel like being treated like a second-class citizen -- because you're asking them to do a big favor for you instead their duty. Other people were able to get an upgrade after offering them $20 to $40 to put you in the list. However, you may use part of this $1500 promotion for spa, tour... The other issue was the large staff of salespeople trying to sell you a membership for their hotels. They were pushy and demanding.
Finally the hotel did not credit our account as they had agreed, instead they charged our account for the tours we had cancel due to our condition. We are totally disgusted with their services and false advertising, we will never return to any of their hotels. It's sad way to spend a week in hell and not to mention our hard earned money.

I had return flights, and wanted to change them to a later date due to work commitment changes. I applied using their online application (which was fantastically simple) and they immediately sent me a confirmation e-mail saying 'we will respond within 24 hours'. I followed all their criteria giving them at least 5 days before my flights etc to look for alternative flights.
Here is the problem... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENED until the day before my flight (5 days after I wrote to them to request the changes where they OFFERED ME ALTERNATIVE FLIGHTS but clearly stated that the prices were not guaranteed by the AIRLINE and they were not responsible for this or the changes and they would BILL ME after I agree to these charges - which I do not yet know).
So basically they quoted me a reasonable price for the changes (too late for me to organize) and then told me that these prices could change and I would be automatically charged whatever the Airline want to charge me (if different). This of course IS THE SCAM they pull time and time again with us... the unsuspecting public. This, and the long ineffective phone calls you need to make to them to change flights if you call them directly are how they make most of their money with massive payoffs from the phone companies with premium numbers you are dialing. Also note, that your chance of resolution on the phone is practically ZERO with Customer Services (a joke name in CHEAPTICKETS) hanging up on you, and also sometimes laughing at your frustrated complaints.
They are not a company with any scruples or credibility and DO NOT HAVE ANY CUSTOMER'S PEACE OF MIND ON THEIR AGENDA... only income generation/profit making. Please tell friends and colleagues NEVER to use CHEAPTICKETS as they are deliberately designed to frustrate to maximize profits from us, who simply want to go on Holidays or do business.

Don't use Cheaptickets to book flights tickets - better to use directly the Air company even the CT promise you the cheaper price. I booked tickets to Spain - they made 2 mistakes in one ticket. I weren't careful and didn't notice them. When I discovered it - we began to call them. After hanging on the phone hours and hours (it was 22 hours before flight) they promised to connect with the Air company to ask about correction these minor mistakes. After hour of waiting we were told that the company refused to correct our tickets and we need to pay even more to buy the new tickets for the same date. So we lost whole amount of money -- $2000 for tickets + money for the trip insurance + money for the seat selection - about $2500 total. They were absolutely useless in helping - don't use them in the future. About these stupid mistakes - what kind of professionals work for CT?

I booked a flight and got an email notification that my booking was "pending" and that I'd receive confirmation within 24 hours. 24 hours came and went, but no word from cheaptickets.sg. I then called them, provided some requested information and was told that they'd confirm/cancel within 4 hours. 4 hours came and went, but no word from cheaptickets.sg. I then called them, asked for an update, and was told that they'd confirm/cancel within 3 hours. 3 hours came and went, but no word from cheaptickets.sg. I'm now stuck!
The fundamental problem is that they have a terrible/antiquated payments system and customers pay the price: you may want to proceed with a booking or just cancel, but find yourself stuck in their pending status -- so you can't even proceed to book a ticket somewhere else. Bottom line: don't book a flight through this company.

I arrive at the hotel and there is NO reservation for me. The hotel clerk was rude and then went on to tell me that my reservation was for the day before and there was nothing she could do about correcting it even after seeing my confirmation dates. I booked a 3-night stay in North Myrtle Beach at the Beach Cove Resort. My family and I drove over 4 hours to the beach, thinking we had a reservation only to arrive at the resort & were told they had had no vacancies for the last 5 days. The resort manager stated that she had been on the phone with various staff for CheapTickets for over two hours being passed around to different people without any resolution. Not one person from CheapTickets even had the courtesy to phone me and let me know before I made the long drive down. Hell, even if I had received the call 2 hours into the drive, it would have been better than this.
The manager & staff called around to multiple hotels in an attempt to relocate us to no avail. We had booked a room with two queen beds and a sleeper sofa and no other hotels had a room available that evening. We left the beach & drove back home, ruining a planned weekend with my family. If this is how CheapTickets conducts business, then they should not be in business. I have contacted customer service and reported the events that transpired. I still have not had a single call, email or the slightest attempt at an apology from CheapTickets. I was a long-time, repeat customer but I will never use this service again.

My father in-Law asked me to look for tickets (LGA-BNA-MCO-DFW-HNL-LGA). CheapTickets (CT) gave the best deal and I made the purchase. Unfortunately he lost a very close friend of over 50 yrs and had to reschedule and this is when the drama began. First thing I did was to re-price the ticket with his new dates of travel and it ended up being much much more cheaper, so much cheaper that I upgraded the ticket to 1st class (CT policy of no refunds, only a credit towards the a new ticket). This just brought the price to about $10 below the original ticket. So, win win I thought.
I called the # on CT site (outsourced to some company in the Philippines) for ticket re-booking, I was given the runaround with which department would handle cancellation and re-booking of the ticket. I insisted the rep stay on the phone after hours of being put on hold, call dropping, etc. Finally I got through to a rep who read from a script about cancellation and associated fees. I agreed. However, the twist came.
Time to purchase the new ticket and the rep was taking forever, I mean 40 mins just to put the itinerary together and give a quote. I wondered why thinking that the rep would at minimum use the same websites as consumers? NO! NO! NO! They don't, they use a completely different site which does not abide by the rules on the website, (YOU WOULD THINK THAT WOULD BE MADE CLEAR). After all the time wasting, the ticket I was quoted ended up being much more expensive than the original ticket. Of course I had to pay the difference. I made a lot of noise and was able to get the stupid change fee waived.
So, FYI - If you decide to cancel, know you will be paying much more for the new ticket as well as a cancellation fee careless of factors affecting the cost of airline tickets. This is a sophisticated scam since they have your money, they've told you you don't get a refund, only a credit. What they don't tell you is when you re-book, 1) you pay whatever they ask you to pay in excess of the original payment or you can walk away, 2) "We (CT), don't use the same prices (as on their website in real time) to quote the new ticket", and 3) "it's not our (CT) fault, it's what the airlines provide to us we are providing to you." I have no problem with this, what I do have a problem is that it's not stated at all on their website and should be as this is just the height of deceit and something needs to be done. You have been informed, now go make your decision.

I purchased a package... flight, car, hotel for me and two friends. I found out that I was unable to make my flight at the scheduled time. I called cheaptickets.com and told them my problem. I needed to change my departing flight to a later time on the same day. The airline only had one departing flight that day. I would have to get another flight through a different airline. I told the agent that I would still be returning on the date scheduled.
The cheaptickets.com agent said I should leave the reservation alone since I wanted to use the return flight and could not get a refund. That's what I did. I booked a one way ticket to Denver and assumed that my flight home would be fine... boy was I wrong. I had to purchase another one way ticket home and wait for their internal investigation to determine if they would reimburse me for my flight home. I had to get a hotel room and stay another night. Cheaptickets.com determined that it was not an agent error because they apparently said "if you want to cancel or change your reservation you should call Spirit airlines." That definitely does not determine that the agent has no clue what he is doing. I will be pursuing this further possibly in small claims court.

This company undervalues the customer as evident in their customer service staffing/hold times and in their cancellation/change policies ('Free Cancellation. Book now to lock in your price and cancel for FREE before ** time/date'). 'FREE' by way of $ not by customer's stress and time in trying to change/cancel. Details/rationale: Booked airline tickets online without issue at a time that was outside of customer service hours (7am-10pm CDT). Realized I needed to change the reservation immediately, but could only change the reservation through phone call (1.888.922.8849). Waited until customer service lines opened, called, and tried customer service call-back option.
CheapTickets called back in 10 minutes, but was only put back into hold-que. Waited for 20 minutes and hung up. I called back in an hour and waited on hold-queue for 40 minutes. Called on a different phone (while still holding on other line) and chose 'new reservation' option in automated phone tree, instead of 'change reservation' - got through to a representative in 5 minutes. Representative told me that she could not cancel, but she could put me back into the customer service queue so that I could cancel with someone else. The only way she could cancel would be after I booked the new reservation online, provide confirmation #, and then she could cancel the old one. I was wary of 2 charges on credit card (takes 5 days for old one to be removed), but did this anyway as idea of hour+ on customer service 'cancel' hold-queue was unacceptable.

I had bought plane tickets in April with no intentions of having to reschedule them. Due to circumstances at work I had to reschedule my plane tickets. It was going to cost an additional $651.00 to change my plane tickets. My original two plane tickets cost $790.00. I am basically buying 2 more tickets. I asked if the $75.00 charge per ticket could be waived. I was told no that she was not authorized to do that. That is when I asked to be transferred to someone who is authorized to waive fees. I was transferred but the supervisor would not help me in anyway. After I use my credit from Cheaptickets I will not be using this company again. I will never do business with CheapTickets again. On December 30, 2015, we purchased two tickets to the Rose Bowl game. The customer service rep who I spoke with on the phone said the tickets will be delivered overnight via FedEx and guaranteed to arrive on December 31. Customer service put me on extended hold, then called me back later but did not provide a tracking number although my credit card was charged immediately on Dec-30. By 4 PM on Wednesday Dec-31, I was worried because the tickets had not arrived with the mail.
So I called CheapTickets event line but the automated message says the office is currently closed at 3 PM PST. The auto attendant offers two options: Press 3 to leave a voicemail for non-emergencies or press 4 to leave a voicemail in the emergency mail box. I pressed 4 and it said this option was invalid. Then I pressed 3 and left a voicemail but never heard back. By 6PM, the tickets had still not been delivered. With the Rose Bowl game just hours away we ended up having to purchase tickets elsewhere.
Days after the event we had still not received a call back, follow-up or anything. When I called for a refund, the rep seemed clueless but said a clerical error caused the tickets to be sent to a different address by mistake. The whole situation was a hassle. This was my first and last experience with CheapTickets. I will strongly recommend against doing business with CheapTickets in the future. CheapTickets cannot be trusted.

I told them I wanted 2 seats in the first order (which the tickets weren't cheap) then told them that I was charged twice and wanted a refund for it. Then this is what really pissed me off. The lady then told me I had bought 4 seats and that all sales are final. I told her I ONLY WANTED 2 SEATS! Her response was... "just sell them on craigslist or something..." WHAT THE HECK?!?! I booked a flight via CheapTickets and later found out I needed a return flight that would leave a few days earlier than the original. When I attempted to change it online, it told me the total cost would be $360 and said I would have to call their customer service to complete the change. I did so, and when I spoke with an agent she told me that that fare was no longer available and it would cost over $800 to change my ticket! I was on the phone for over an hour with these people and absolutely nothing was done to amend the situation.
I realize that you sometimes have to pay more to change a ticket but the price they gave me online was either a lie, or they were trying to scam me and get me to pay more over the phone. Throughout the phone call I kept checking and the price stayed at $360 online, AND when I looked at the airline directly, none of their prices were the same as what CheapTickets was telling me. I will NEVER use this service again and I'd highly discourage anyone else from using them as well.

I relied on this cancellation option in case I could not get the days off from work.
I called Cheaptickets right after booking the trip to see if I could turn it into a package and use a promo code. The customer rep mentioned that my ticket is not refundable because it is on Frontier Airlines. Cheaptickets said Frontier is changing some its systems and that they may have a courtesy cancellation policy. The rep said they were changing their system 3 weeks ago. While I was on the phone I looked at the same flight and it still said free cancellation. It's obvious that the site advertises free cancellation to trap you into booking a non refundable flight. They should be able to update their system within 3 weeks and remove the free cancellation. This is dirty business.

The agent over the phone booked my trip one month wrong on the incorrect date. It cost over $1600 because they booked it for the very next day when it was supposed to be one month and one day away. I had to re-book it again through United Airlines. I didn't even realize it until a week after the scheduled flight. When I called in, rather than apologize profusely, they kept me on hold for over 20 minutes, and then told me they would do an "investigation" on it. Their agents do not speak clear English which creates miscommunication and frustration, and are trained to be more robotic and as such, make mistakes quite a bit. Then, after the "investigation" they told me it was my fault after review because I confirmed it with the agent, even though they never sent me any proof, and I am sure that I gave the correct date at first. I didn't recognize the error later because we had to re-do it like 3-4 times because he kept booking the wrong flight.
By the end, I was so frustrated, that when he repeated it back I did not hear the error. He booked the wrong date and losing $1600 should absolutely not be the customer's responsibility- period. If you have been wronged by this company, you need to post a review because accountability online like this is what makes them finally treat people with justice and respect they deserve, versus running over their customers because they don't think you have a voice. I have bought many tickets over the years and every time there is a problem I have found that it will not be properly handled. You are way better off using a travel agent or going airline direct. I will give a couple of many examples that I have had the opportunity of having to deal with. On a scale of 1-10 on this companies ability to solve problems, I give them a 0.
Example #1. 3 years ago in Feb my grandmother and best friend was notified that she had a couple of months to live. Upon hearing this news I made arrangements to spend as much time with as I could, even if it meant borrowing money to do so at the time. It worked out that I would be able to spend 2 weeks out of every month with her. Times like this are confusing and your not in your right frame of mind. That last ticket that I booked through cheaptickets.com to see her was booked backwards. Instead of booking a ticket departing from Dallas Fort Worth, I booked the ticket departing from Reno, Nevada. My wife had caught my mistake approximately two weeks before my flight. I called customer service to fix the problem that had occurred. After spending most of my day on the phone and going through several "supervisors", my ticket of $350 got an additional $400+ dollars added to it. The flight that I was moved to had plenty of extra seats and was in no way shape or form overbooked or lacking seats. I paid the fee and went on because I didn't have time to deal with it.
Example 2. 10/31/14, my mother let me know a couple of days ago that she wanted to fly in and visit me for 10 days over the thanksgiving break. She sent me her credit card info and asked if I would book a ticket. My mother was a widow for 24 years out of adoration of my father. 4 years ago she finally remarried. Beautiful sweet woman, her being unmarried was not because of a lack of suitors trying. When my mother remarried I assumed that she had changed her last name and that is how I booked her flight ticket. After mailing her the confirmation I received a call with her letting me know that she had kept my father's name out of continued adoration and that her current husband was fine with it. I then call the cheaptickets.com customer service to try correct the problem. I finally get a customer service rep on the phone and describe my problem. She lets me know that there will be a $275 additional charge to the already $350 ticket. Unhappy with this answer I asked to talk to a supervisor. I was then asked for a call back number in case we were disconnected. After 10 minutes on hold we were disconnected. After waiting for my call back for approximately 1 hour I was not called back.
Sitting at my desk with a phone that was not interrupted phone at my desk. At this point I call back again and start completely over. I told them about my previous conversation and was placed on hold for a "supervisor" of cheaptickets.com. After a while on hold again I get another rep on the phone. When asked if she was a supervisor she stated that she was not a "supervisor". She went over the situation with me again, put me on hold for a while and then came back with a price of an additional $100 to change the name on the ticket. At this point I am getting irritated. I asked nicely to speak to her supervisor. She then stated that she was the highest ranked "supervisor" there at this time. I then stated that she had just told me that she was not a "supervisor". I then asked for the person that I could call back that was her supervisor. She stated "Sandra" and said that she could not give me the last name of her "supervisor".
All in all I took it that their prices can be whatever they want for corrections and that no one is in charge or can make decisions to properly fix a problem. I will continue to spread the word of a shady, unsympathetic company that has no one in charge as much as I possibly can!!!

On April 8th 2014 I went online and I ordered 2 tickets for my parents to Vietnam flying with Korean air through Cheaptickets. Six months later (10/09/2014), I got a phone call from Cheaptickets saying that they have a problem with my reservation date. They said Korean air had a problem with connecting flights so instead of November 3rd, it’s going to be November 4th. I said "That's Ok as long as I don’t have to pay anything" and that Cheap ticket representative (his name Sam) said "Oh, you don’t have to pay anything because it's their fault". I asked him to send me the E-ticket again with that changing date (11/4). That night, the email sent is the old e-ticket which I received from Cheaptickets six months ago. So I called cheaptickets again to confirm the information because my parents are going to leave next month.
This time I talked to another lady representative. I explained what happened and I needed the e-ticket with the correct date (11/4). She put me on hold and said that I need to talk to Korean air for the confirmation date. After 15 minutes on hold, instead of talking to Korean air, She (The same Cheaptickets lady) said because of the airline policy I have to pay the fees for changing the date (which is not my fault, they forced me to change). IT IS RIDICULOUS.... I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA $577.20 if I want to fly on 11/4. Oh Yeah???
I have been keep calling them and said "It's not Right, I rather cancel the flight than paying that STUPID MONEY". They said if I cancel it I have to pay the fees ($200). Are you kidding me???? Then I directly called Korean air and they said "This is our fault, we don’t charge you anything." He advised me to block my bank account.
I will fight for this. I can't wait to take them to court. My fiancee's aunt is a lawyer. I would share this with her. After I read all these comments I was like..... NO WAY I WOULD USE CHEAPTICKETS AGAIN, and I will definitely tell my friends and others that I know "STAY AWAY CHEAPTICKETS... THEY WILL SCAM YOUR MONEY."

Serious glitch in booking system. My 17-yr-old son was able to create an account with cheap tickets, and was able to create a fictitious date of birth, and was able to use a card from my wallet to book a flight out of the country (One way). All the information went through because he had the card in hand, knew our address attached to the card, and was able to type in a birth date to reflect he was 18, even though he wasn't and isn't. I contacted customer service to cancel this ticket, as he was not flying out of the country; the customer service support staff were NOT willing to cancel the flight (non-refundable) even though I insisted their booking system should NEVER have allowed this to happen. The system should mandate you type in a valid ID (driver's license, state id, passport...). What if a 1-yr-old had created an account, typed a fictitious birth date, used a card from mom's wallet, and was able to book a flight ALL without mom not knowing?

I KNOW for a FACT that I purchased Field Box tickets and even narrowed my search to ONLY see Field Box tickets! Besides, there are no seats to any game in any part of the world where 2 bleacher seats would cost $512.00 five months before the game! I called the "manager" Wendy ** who kept giving me the run around and the "I'm still looking into it... I need more time". This went on for weeks.
She finally tells me the broker no longer has the tickets available and that they'd happily return my money. I said NO, I want MY TICKETS! These tickets were a birthday gift for my boyfriend. I can see that there are plenty of Field Box seats still available. Long story short, I had to get the Attorney General’s office involved. The minute they received the certified letter from the AG's office, they deposited the money into my account and offered me $250 towards another purchase. I am NOT happy! No!!! You need to have a supervisor listen to what transpired.... never-mind, what you say, Chris and/or Kevin. "I" had the conversation - fill in the blanks - now I am mad!!!!!! You are wrong for trying to steal my money - attempting to make me and my family fly before Feb., that is outrageous. I book flight for August, it means we can only fly in August when the kids are out of school. I can accommodate "you" to fly in July or Aug 2015 (there is no expiration on money, is there? Which you have had since Feb 2014). When I was told I had a full year to fly, at that point I had no problem... canceling was no issue until I was told I had until Feb when I booked tickets. I thought he meant I had until Aug. (full year) which was fine.
When he mentions I have until Feb 2015 (full year) the date of purchase - that is a totally different story. I asked him to "get the tickets back" I would call to let him know what we decide! He tells me "oh, they are already cancelled and in the pool again," I said "Get Them Back" he said "I can't do that" I asked "why not? ' he said "you told me to cancel them".
If you think for one minute I will walk away letting you keep my $6,770.00 you are highly mistaken! I am demanding you let us fly in June or August of 2015 - The 5 tickets I cancelled were sold by ALITALIA for more than what I paid for them back in Feb... They lost No-Thing not even a penny!! ! *** not to mention you got paid in full in Feb - I have yet to get a penny back and we have yet to leave the ground. The customer service is hired outside the organization and cannot help in making any decisions on airline flights. The left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. I would not recommend using Cheaptickets.
I wished they would of made corrections and suggestions on a better solution other than cancelling all my flights. I was okay with the one flight between the islands. It cost me $600.00 more to reschedule, but when Cheaptickets cancelled my flight from MCI to Hawaii and the flight back, it cost over $1,000.00. I'm talking about two people, my husband and I were planning this trip for over 3 years. It is for our 35th wedding anniversary.
So what the cost was $2531.75 turned out to be $3600.00+. In my own opinion Cheaptickets should of come up with something better than cancelling my flights. That was very bad on their part. I am so sorry that I considered and purchased tickets from them. I hope that you who read this remember my experience and consider using another service provider, one that doesn't hire outside the company for customer service. They cannot provide the support for airline customer service that is needed. They cannot reschedule or try and help you get new flights to compensate for cancellations.

Well, we were looking for a flight from Coimbatore to New Delhi and decided on a flight for the 2nd of July. We went through the online booking process and were pretty sure we booked the flight for the 2nd of July. What happened next, through a freak incidence we check again, just to realize that our booking suddenly showed the 2nd of August as departure day. The end result was that we had to call and change our departure date on which in return we are now spending twice the amount the initial flight would have cost us. Afterwards we checked the reviews on Cheaptickets and we could not help noticing that a lot of people were complaining about the fact that they too experienced the same. Their booking is being done exactly a month later as intended.
We then decided to call Cheaptickets in order to get a comment on that fact, only to be told that this impossible and that there are no complaints whatsoever. I then suggested to the lady to please see for herself whether or not there are really no complaints. She promised to forward our complaint, but it did not sound convincing. After all a company which simply ignores the fact that they do have a problem with their online booking system.

This is basically my complaint I sent to the BBB in hopes of getting a coherent response from CheapTickets (private info taken out). I hope it warns future travelers to be cautious of it. Using it is nothing cheap at all and if anything, wastes money and time. On May 22, 2014, I went to CheapTickets to purchase, well, cheap tickets, for a six day trip to California to visit my boyfriend. I planned it to be June 15 to June 21 because I had a limited budget. It seemed fairly simple - fill out my dates and look for the best options. I saw one for $425.00 and jumped at the offer! Despite the poor quality system resetting itself on me multiple times, I finally was able to buy them.
During this time, the system also changed the return date without my knowledge to July 19. I didn't see that until I went to check in my return flight on June 21, as I originally planned and assumed CheapTickets booked, and was horrified to be notified that I couldn't check in because my flight was ONE. MONTH. AWAY. July 19. I was in shock and fear while sitting in my hotel (check out was at 10 am and I discovered this at 7 am) wondering what I was going to do if I was stranded in the city. I was furious with CheapTickets' booking system altering this during the booking process without notifying me. Without a computer in a foreign city far from home, I used my smartphone to look up my options, and AA and UA both told me to contact CheapTickets to fix third party booking issues.
After being passed back and forth between Customer Service and Sales for an hour, I was kindly hung up on three times by three reps who had a poor grasp on English and couldn't understand my problem. No apologies or anything, just "Let me see what I can do" and "I'll transfer you to because I can't help, maybe they can" until mid conversation, they got silent and hung up. The number I called was (888)922-8849. One man (Juan? John? I couldn't tell with his thick accent) told me to just buy another ticket through CheapTickets because the costs to change my flight would cost me a $250 fine, $25 for the call center, and then at least $300 for a new ticket swap. He then hung up on me without further explanation.
I looked online and CheapTickets' only options for flights on June 21 started at $1008. I finally found a Customer Service rep via (877)233-7061 from the Philippines (I asked about her name/location because I wanted to know who/where I was getting help from - her name was Ellen? Alana?) who I had promise me she wouldn't hang up on me. She told me she would transfer the worth of my July 19 ticket (worth $160 apparently) to purchase a flight on June 21. She said it would cost around $313 but then after a half hour wait for "processing," she informed me that the CheapTickets system wouldn't allow the transaction and told me I would have to pay $539.99 ($514.99 for the AA ticket + $25 for the CheapTickets booking fee). Desperate to go home and with no place to stay, I was forced to give her my VISA credit card number, security code, and personal information over the phone to purchase the ticket. Now on my bank statement, it says that I've been charged $46.99 by CheapTickets and $493 from American Airlines, then an another $284 from American Airlines. I'm quite frustrated with the poor quality customer service and lack of quality from the CheapTickets booking system which altered my return date without my knowledge.
This ordeal has been nothing but awful and I'm ashamed of both CheapTickets services and myself for not seeing the hundreds of complaints on the BBB and Consumer Affairs. I'll try to update what happens in the following days. Things I learned from this are: book directly with airlines, do research on travel agencies if you do want to use them, and avoid CheapTickets like the plague. Note: some reviewers said they couldn't find numbers for customer service - the two in my review should be working if you can stand the wait and being hung up on.

I am extremely unhappy with my recent trip from New Orleans to Orlando. This trip was supposed to be a happy time for me during my long awaited vacation. Instead, this trip turned out to be a nightmare! Originally, this reservation was made online to travel from New Orleans to Orlando from June 4, 2014 through June 9, 2014. Your reservation agents at cheaptickets.com have royally screwed up this reservation by making the reservation through Sunday (June 8, 2014) for the hotel and Monday (June 9, 2014) for the airline (who knows where the car rental dates are?), and they have the audacity to want to charge me in excess of $230.00 FOR THEIR ERROR!
They're refusing to correct the mistake that was made by cheaptickets.com. It took me two full days of my vacation to correct this error with Cheap Tickets, Inc. d.b.a. cheaptickets.com because I was afraid that I would be asked to leave the resort (Caribe Cove). After spending way too much time on an international call to get this resolved (twice!) it still went unresolved. I finally had my sister contact the airline directly so I didn't have to deal with all of the extra charges on my phone bill. It took her forever to get my ticket corrected - the first leg of my flight was cancelled, which was causing me to miss the second connecting flight. Cheaptickets was not able to do anything to get it fixed.
The second issue: on the cheaptickets.com website it said I would receive one free checked bag. NOT TRUE. When I got to the airport, I had to pay extra for my checked bags, as there was no free allowance. When I contacted Cheap Tickets, they said it was my fault for not contacting the airline directly to inquire. There was an issue with my visa, so I was denied boarding at the airport. The ticket agent at the airport recommended that I call the CheapTickets to rebook my flight for next available flight. CheapTickets agents (and YES MULTIPLE because my call got dropped about 40 minutes into the phone convo.) wasted time effectively putting me on hold, causing me to have to pay for $270 "no show fee" because my ticket wasn't changed on time. No one ever advised me about this rule. Then it took another 4+ hours on the phone trying to change my ticket. They often had wrong information - for example, not being able to change my ticket because the airline had control over it - later proven by the airline that they didn't touch the ticket since we canceled the reservation at the airport. Finally, got to an agent who got me alternative itinerary - with severely altered schedule to "match" my initial flight fare.
Finalized the change, and guess what I see on my inbox few hours later? An ad from CheapTickets telling me to book a ticket on those specific days I wanted for less than my original fare! I angrily called CheapTickets for this. The only answer I get back (after being on the phone for 3 hours and after being hung up a couple times) was, “I'm sorry you've experienced an inconvenience. I can assist you with the change fee, but there will be an additional change fee!!!!” Why is it that the customer service does absolutely nothing helpful but to utter "we are sorry"? I purchased tickets in C211 Row 15 for over $1K each (with fees we paid over $5,000.00 for the (4) tickets). The tickets were purchased with the understanding they would be delivered via FedEx, soon after payment.
(4) Tickets arrived in December via FedEx, however - (4) INCORRECT tickets. Tickets that were on the complete opposite side from the purchased tickets. I called immediately (that day) to remedy the error. The Cheaptickets Rep acknowledged via my order number I indeed received the incorrect tickets. The Rep said he would contact the broker to resolve the issue and get back with me promptly. I did not hear from the Rep again. I followed up with a phone call a week later, once again explaining the situation. Same scenario - Rep said he would call broker to remedy the situation. Again - there was no response/no return call. This went on for a good 6 weeks; I would call, explain, they would make a promise, and never follow through.
Mid-January 2014, I spoke with another Rep who acknowledged the error and had the broker send a FedEx Return slip to me via email. I returned the tickets with the promise from the Rep, once received they would send out the correct tickets. Again, same game from the Reps from Cheap Tickets, admitting the broker had received the returned tickets and - my correct tickets will be sent out shortly. I called to follow up several times (I have all dates/times and names documented). At no point did anyone return my call - until finally this week, March 24th - after getting upset and threatening legal action, one gentleman called me back stating he is working on it and, will call with updates.
On March 26th, Vice President - Wendy L. Bruno of Ticket Evolution contacted me in an attempt to 'Make it Right'. She told me straight up, "Unfortunately, that broker we work with no longer has those tickets. We have other tickets in inventory we can get for you." I asked her to please send the ticket options to me via email and I would compare to make certain we were getting tickets of the same or better as noted on their website.
Now - in the time since November 27th, 2013 since we purchased our (4) tickets in Section C211 Row 15, the Cheap Tickets website is currently showing tickets in Section C211 selling at $11,000.00 each. In doing other research on other sites, tickets in this section C211, C210 and others surrounding are selling for $5,000.00, $8,000.00 and $10,000. Again, however, it is important to note The EXACT ticket broker we purchased our C211 tickets from (saying they don't have our tickets) are selling our EXACT SECTION SEATS for $11,000.00!!!
The VP, Wendy L. Bruno, who said they wanted to 'make it right' said she understands basic economics of supply and demand, but - she cannot give us the tickets we purchased in November. Her options were: C207 Row 7, C206 Row 9, Floor B Row 26, Floor P Row 27, Floor P Row 25. If you take a look at the locations and values of those seats and tickets, they are CLEARLY not as good or better than our seats THAT WE RIGHTFULLY PURCHASED AND PAID FOR IN NOVEMBER. She is now saying she will keep looking. They can give us our money back. There must be some recourse to selling 4 tickets with the EXACT SECTIONS/ROWS... Playing coy for several months and then weeks before the concert saying, "Sorry, we don't have those tickets to give you." All 4 ticket holders are flying into DFW from Chicago, IL to see this concert. It is devastating that it seems nothing can be done as a consumer.
I am sure this is not the first time something like this has occurred .... And, wish I knew of this deception prior to giving this company my money. Is there some legal recourse? I would be happy to speak with anyone about this issue!! The (4) ticket holders want it to attend the concert and, want it right! Thank you for reviewing. I look forward to speaking with someone .... If anyone else has had this occur; I would love to speak with them as well.

I am not one to complain, and this is my 1st time ever to write a review on a company but this must be said. I WILL NEVER USE CHEAPTICKETS EVER AGAIN! I went to Cheaptickets.com and tried to get a plane ticket from Pittsburgh to Houston, Texas, Feb 28 to March 4. A few days later, I realized that the confirmation email they sent me had the wrong dates. I believe this may have happened when I filled out the billing information and left something out; when I pushed "send" or "next" it went back to that same page and said I left something out that needed to be filled in. I guess what I did not realize is that CheapTickets also cleared the dates when it reloaded back to that page.
I called them to explain what happened, but the customer service rep got very defensive and would not work with me at all. He wanted me to pay them for the plane ticket, a cancellation fee of $250.00, and then buy a whole new ticket with the right date on top of that! I offered to pay the difference between the cost of the ticket I bought and the ticket I was trying to buy. And I actually would consider paying a cancellation fee that was not so ridiculously way too expensive! It was more than my ticket was! All other companies have like a $50 cancellation fee if any at all! I used this company quite a lot this year because I travel for work and this is how they treated me?
I felt bullied so I disputed the charges. Now they sent me an email threatening that they were going to go to a Collection Agency. They are just a bunch of bullies who do not care about the customers at all. I would suggest for you to never use them! I would use Expedia or ANY OTHER company instead who are known for having good customer service. Thanks for listening.

I bought a ticket to go to Nigeria in December. Flight was leaving JFK for Lagos by 8pm on Dec 15th, 2013. Got to the airport by 5.30pm as this is an international flight and I wanted to be there on time. Got to the ticket and was very pleased as there was only 2 people in front of me, waited my turn and walked up to the desk only for the ticketing agent to say, "Ermmmm, we don't have a flight for 8pm." I was shocked and said, "That is my ticket and it clearly says Al Italia for 8pm."
Fortunately, the ticket agent was very nice and called Cheaptickets and they were like, "Oh sorry, the flight was rescheduled for 5pm!!!" Can you beat this? I was like, "You rescheduled my flight and did not have the decency to call me so I would know?" And the customer service rep was like, "Well, the system spits out a message for whenever we change flights!" an email that I must say I didn't get. To top it off, I had called the customer service the night before to confirm the excess luggage fee and they never thought they should let me know that the flight was rescheduled. I was in tears because I am on a work visa and I had an appointment to renew my Visa at the Nigerian embassy back home on the 19th.
I was begging these reps that I just needed to be on a flight back home but they just said, "We will give you a refund" and ended the call. It was unbelievable as I was stunned at the nonchalant attitude displayed by the customer service people. I had to go round the airport looking for airline with free seats, mind you this was in December, peak period with everyone trying to go home for the holidays. Needless to say, I found a ticket on Arik for $800 dollars more than my budget but was left with no choice given I had the visa appointment. Sharing this with you all so you would know never to purchase anything from Cheaptickets. Just not worth the hassle.

When arriving at the airport, he was told he was not booked even though he has a confirmation of his flights and locator numbers for both cheap tickets and united airlines. The guy at United says "I can sell you a flight for $1700." United says "we did not get payment from Cheap tickets so we can't honor this." Cheap ticket says "the flight was cancelled and we emailed you so tough luck." Really ???? A) the flight was not cancelled and was not full B) you think it's ok to just email a cancellation the morning of departure?
This is messed up and we are very sad that he probably wont see his sister anymore...Cheap tickets said a confirmation is nothing you need a ticket number...REALLY who knows that????? This is BAD service really bad service...People do not use them, its not worth fighting this....Oh yeah and concerning his car rental he now needs to go through an insurance company to get that refunded. Oh yeah and his payment for the flight will be refunded in 5 days. Also just found out that cheap tickets made the reservation but did not finish or completed it and that's why it was not valid and cancelled to us. You gotta love this.

DO NOT USE CHEAPTICKETS.COM By far THE worst customer service I've ever had. I had purchased two tickets to the Pink Concert in Milwaukee January 9th. We get to the concert to find out that the tickets they sold me were FRAUDULENT. I then had to buy two crappy tickets in order to go to the concert. The next morning I call Cheapticket's "Customer Service" and some guy answers the phone. I tell him the problem and his response was, "Ah okay, well we are upgrading our systems so call back in a few hours".... EXCUSE ME!?!?!
So then I email the company to let them know the situation and I get an email saying I will be contact within 5 business days. Now, I don't know about you, but I have just been screwed out of over 200 dollars and I'm not happy. 5 business days is a crazy amount of time to expect someone to wait (plus still never got that call). So naturally, I dispute the charge on my credit card. This finally got Cheaptickets' attention because they notified me that I could only receive the 150% refund they promise on their site if I cancel the dispute. Well gee, maybe if your customer service didn't suck, I could have talk to someone there and felt more comfortable not disputing it in the first place.
After emailing back and forth with a girl, I finally cancel the dispute last week. I again emailed them today to ask for an update on my refund. They have done nothing because they have not received notification that the dispute was cancelled. BS. I don't believe that for a second. A customer tells you that you are selling bad tickets and you don't even look into it? Meantime, they tell me it takes up to 30 days to get the refund, so I'm sure they expect me to pay the interest charge on the 200 plus dollars sitting on my credit card waiting for the refund? Why doesn't the company do as they promise??? It is not hard to contact the venue and talk to the VERY NICE people there who helped me out to see if my tickets were in fact fraud. But nope, they are dragging their feet in hopes that I give up so that they don't have to pay me the 150%. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

We had to call CheapTickets on several occasions to resolve an issue with an unused hotel room night and every time we had called we had to wait for at least 45 minutes until we even speak with a real person and when we voiced our concern that next day we will be traveling internationally and we would not be able to call them on international rates to resolve the issue. The customer service rep suggested that we call during off-peak hours. Well, we weren't sure what that meant because we had called at 11 pm at night, at midnight, in the early morning. He probably meant for us to get up in the middle of the night to call, which I am sure would have caused another 45 minutes wait, at least.
When we told them we would like to communicate with them via e-mail to resolve the issue, they connected us with a manager, who sent us one e-mail and never responded to our multiple e-mails while we were abroad. She never resolved our issue and never responded to even apologize. Our issue was never resolved. We were never refunded the money for our hotel room. When we found out we would not be able to get anything done over e-mail, we called internationally, waited one hour and the customer service rep to whom we were transferred to hung up on us while trying to transfer the call to someone who can help us...well this is unacceptable.
When we got back in the States we called to file a complaint with them and to request the refund and explain the situation. The manager was rude, unprofessional, and totally unreasonable. Offered us $25 refund for a room which cost at least $300. He never apologized for anything their customer service reps did. We will never use Cheap Tickets again, horrible customer service experience!

So my 21-year-old daughter bought a flight to come home with her boyfriend for the holidays - she only purchased one - she needed 2. I called Cheaptickets because I found a flight through the airline for exactly $93 apiece. I get put on hold and finally get a rep who tells me that there's nothing they can do to discount an additional ticket - honoring the price of the flight through the airline directly. She then tells me that she can waive the service charge. Okay great! Let's get the second ticket set up so her boyfriend can come home with her too! She says, "Ma'am, I can only waive one service charge, I can't on both." Now I'm confused. I was not asking for both? I tell her "I understand, I just want the service charge waived on this new ticket we are going to purchase" - "I can't do that; we are a business and we are here to make money." HUH?! YOU just offered to waive the service fee???!!!
I ended up canceling the ticket altogether & going through SWA - where there are no service charges. The stress of all of this had my daughter in Tears when at 21 years old, she was just trying to come home for the holidays! So the company that's THERE TO MAKE $$$$ just lost $185. I didn't realize at the time they are a US company and therefore their prices were in US dollars (which was not stated) - so the tickets in the end were very expensive with international charges and the exchange rate. This was only apparent when the charges came through on my credit card statement.
I took the advice of another member on this forum (from Vancouver posted August 2013), who suggested the following in order to get a full refund. Use the following email addresses, and if you don't get the response you want, go to the Better Business Bureau in Chicago. I used the following email addresses, as the cost of calling customer services plus the time difference was not an option: customerrelations@cheaptickets.com; refunddepartment@cheaptickets.com.
I got a response in under 3 days, with an apology, a full refund offer and a voucher. After I got confirmation that the refund was processed, the money was back on my credit card within 2 working days. Although the experience was very frustrating, the advice from this forum enabled me to get my refund in a timely manner. After waiting for about 20 minutes I managed to reach the customer service representative just to find out that the Match Prices program does not work anymore and the only thing the company can do for me is to return my money back assuming I pay service fees of $35.
After waiting for another 10 minutes I was able to talk to the manager who tried to convince me that the difference between $103.90 and $68.90, i.e. $35 is the price they have to charge for their business. When I asked the manager who need such a business, he could not provide a reasonable explanation. The only positive side of this conversation was the fact that both persons were very polite. Later I discovered that the ticket from Seattle to Boston, which I bought in the same evening from this site for $163.90, could be bought for just $128.90 on http://www.alaskaair.com, i.e. with the same $35 difference.
Of course, I will never ever buy tickets from this site as well as recommend anybody to do it. Unfortunately, I did not read existing reviews. Please do not repeat this mistake. The site should be renamed from Cheap Tickets to Plus $35 Tickets.

I strongly suggest to avoid buying any airplane tickets using this platform, even if you see a cheap airplane ticket. They are so many other website and they most likely will offer the same prices than the ones you have on Cheaptickets. I booked an airplane ticket last Thursday usingmomondo.com which directed me to an attractive airfare from China to Switzerland offered on Cheaptickets.com. I decided to book it with them and on the same day I received a Booking Confirmation Email from them. The price tag was originally USD 950, but Cheaptickets' website indicated that the price was RMB 950 (Chinese Yuan - equivalent to about USD 150). Of course, I believed that they would still be charging me in USD. An international flight at USD 150 is unimaginable.
On Saturday, Cheaptickets sent me a cancellation email saying that they had cancelled my airplane ticket due to technical issue. I supposed that their website's bug (RMB vs USD) must have been the root of the issue. What makes me angry is that on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, they all of a sudden were not sure if my airplane ticket was cancelled and could not tell me if my credit card had been billed. I told them that the least they should have done in such situation is first to call and clear out the situation prior to cancelling the airplane ticket: "Sir, we made a mistake. We charged RMBs instead of USDs. Will you accept to pay USDs?" Done. Case close. I had to call Austrian Airlines and have them send me an email to confirm that they had cancelled my airplane ticket, so I could have a proof from the airline in case Cheaptickets would continue to act in bad faith.
I also asked to be able to have the email of a senior manager. Indeed, I wanted to draw their attention on the fact that a phone call should be made in such situation. It is not possible to send a confirmation email to cancel unilaterally few hours later. If we customer did that, do you think they would have agreed? However, I have since been having a nonsense email exchange as they keep saying they will update me as soon as they more information. After the 11th email, I decided to share my story on this website (and after warning them that I would share my story on different websites). AVOID CHEAPTICKETS BY ALL MEANS. I have decided to write to their HQ in Chicago as well as the major stakeholders, Orbitz.
PS: As of today, Tuesday, Cheaptickets has still not answered me on whether they had charged my credit card or not. I called my bank to refuse any transaction from this company. I had two terrible experiences with this company. First, we booked a hotel stay in Florida through them in March 2003 that promised a $75 hotel credit upon check-out. However, the hotel refused to honor the credit because they indicated that CheapTickets failed to enter it into the reservation system. After multiple calls to the CheapTickets "Customer Service," follow-up e-mails providing various documentation (which they already had in their system), etc., they eventually agreed to issue a $100 voucher good off a future CheapTickets.com booking.
Unfortunately, they don't deduct the voucher amount from the price at time of booking, as most reputable companies too. Rather, they require you to book it through them, pay in full via credit card, and then send in ANOTHER request for a refund of the voucher amount. Despite this RIDICULOUS process, I complied with these directions in booking a subsequent hotel stay in Massachusetts earlier this month. I sent in all of the documentation requested to claim my refund (again, even though they had it all in their system). Incredulously, they refused to honor the voucher and provide the refund, stating that I had to book ANOTHER trip through them to be eligible for the refund. They simply ignored my follow-up e-mail providing all of the relevant documentation from both trips. Terrible customer service and inept (at best) business practices. Buyer Beware!

I did not want to have such a long layover on top of another layover in Shanghai for 4:30 hours without any accommodation or meals provided by the airline due to this change especially since it was arriving in Kunming after midnight at 12:35 AM and the next leg of journey wouldn't start until mid-day next day at 12:50 pm and also since this change was made by the Airline. I decided to call and inquire what arrangement the airline could offer to accommodate me.
On Monday May 29, I called Cheaptickets and inquired whether the Airline can offer hotel and meals for this change in itinerary. The service agent on phone looked into it and informed me that there was no option available from the airline and inquired if I'd like to get a full refund instead and he could assist me by making a cancellation. I told him I was not interested in making a cancellation, I just want to be accommodated. Since there was no options that were offered other than the refund route, I inquired and double checked asking the customer rep that there would be a full refund and no penalties or charges for making the cancellation.
As he confirmed that I would receive a full refund and no penalties or charges would be made, I agreed for him to proceed with the cancellation so I could make alternative arrangement for my trip. After he made the cancellation, he told me that I would have to wait 45 days for the refund to take place, and this was AFTER not before the cancellation. I was quite upset that he did not tell me up-front about this policy and I could not accept this policy and expressed that to him, and he said he couldn't do anything about it. Meantime, I'd received an email to an effect that my flight was cancelled and there was no mention of a refund whatsoever in the email.
For the next few days I made several calls to Cheaptickets, to get a written confirmation saying I was owed a full refund by Cheaptickets and I needed that in writing as an email of cancellation can be perceived as an act of cancellation made on my part, without any reference to the change in itinerary or no option being made available to me and the fact that it was actually a refund notice that I should have received. Also, I wanted to have a written backup in the event of a dispute later as I only had the discussion over phone with the rep. Each time I called Cheaptickets, I had to bear with long waits, mediocre customer service and a lot of frustration for not being able to get anyone to acknowledge me in writing that a refund process was underway. Meantime, I had to purchase another ticket from another travel agent and carry on with my trip.
Before the start of my journey, on May 13th I received an email from Cheaptickets Refund Department CheapTickets Record Locator - ** saying they wanted to let me know that they have submitted my refund request to China Eastern and if the airline approves your refund, it will take an average of 45 days to process the refund to you. Also, they will send me an e-mail once the airline has confirmed the final status of this request. I was extremely upset that the notice was talking about airline approval. When I originally talked to the customer rep when we cancelled my reservation, there was no question of ifs or airline approvals mentioned whatsoever, I was told it was a full refund and no penalties or cancellation charges would be there. Now after two weeks since the cancellation, all I got from Cheaptickets was that they are waiting for Airline approval. I would never have agreed for a cancellation had I known the refund was dependent on airlines approval.
It has been over 100 days since my reservation was originally cancelled, over 90 days since I received the email from the refund department. I have made more calls to Cheaptickets and talked to customer reps and supervisors who expressed to assist, but I am no way close to getting any sign of my money or any information on the status or request. They reassure me every time that the record shows all what's happened and since the cancellation was made due to a change made by the airline that I would get my money back, but there is nothing else. Customer agent Francis, employee # **, provided a reference file number, ** that would describe the above.
Most recent calls I had been on August 12, with Zander, employee # ** and his supervisor Kevin, employee # **. All they tell me is that their record shows that Cheaptickets has made several attempts to contact the airline and they have not heard back from the airline on its status. On top of that when pressed that it's been over 90 days and what about the 45 day timeline, one rep had the audacity to tell me the 45 day period starts from the time Cheaptickets would hear back from the Airline not from the time of the cancellation. This is a ludicrous and unheard of policy and I don't think anyone in their right senses would accept this kind of policy. Besides, I argued why doesn't Cheaptickets follow up with the Airline and get to the bottom of it. The supervisor was going to look into contacting the airline and put me on hold and after a half an hour wait and a total of over an hour on the phone I had to hang up.
Phone calls with the customer services reps and supervisors seem to take me nowhere and I am yet to see any sign of my refund. Every time I end up spending at least an hour, put on hold for extended periods and the line would sometimes get disconnected, so you have to start all over again. And they never call back to tell you if they have got any resolution for you. For instance, the last time the supervisor was trying to contact airline, if I had to hang up because of other commitments, don't they have any obligation to inform me later what is the status of my inquiry? They have all my contact information, they know I've been calling several time, they know it's been way too long that I have been waiting without getting any feedback yet, they don't treat us with any urgency or simple customer relationship courtesy.
I want Cheaptickets to own up to their responsibility to clients and make me a full refund as promised without any further delay.
I am absolutely horrified that a company like Cheaptickets is allowed by the air transport authority or any other third party regulatory bodies to operate its business in North America and there is no oversight by any of these agencies to bring an end to Cheaptickets' behavior that tantamounts to be negligent to clients needs, fraudulent and criminal.

I got tickets to a country in the mid east that I own a company in. After buying the tickets a war started in the country and it took me literally over 6 hours on hold and talking to their "customer service" people to get them to even think about changing my ticket for me. I spent well over $50 on international long distance charges and wasted tons of time all due to them being unwilling to be even halfway reasonable. US State Dept travel warning, civil war and riots in the country and the fact that my final destination had completely closed its doors to American passport holders were all not good enough reasons to be able to change my flight.
This company sucks in every way! As I write this I have already been talking to these people for 1 hour 11 minutes and 52 seconds and counting. Most of that time has been on hold, enough that I have been able to write 2 reviews, check my email and get madder and madder at this ridiculous company with the worst service I have ever gotten in my entire life, and that is saying a lot because I live in a developing country and the service I get the rat filled noddle place down the street from my office is far better than these people have given me. Please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM CHEAP TICKETS!!!!!!!!!

I booked on CheapTickets because they had the best price. After a 14 hour drive I found out that the reservation was never made. They took my credit card number, so I am worried now as to if I am going to be double charged. I called customer service who tried to call the hotel, however their number was disconnected. I simply googled the hotel and gave them the number. After being on hold for 10 minutes they said that the hotel received the fax late and I was charged twice for it. I was reimbursed, and lucky they had a room open. I've never had this issue with other sites however, I'll probably use another site.

Nine girlfriends and I booked a trip to Miami for a birthday celebration. This required us to book three rooms. I booked my hotel room through Cheaptickets/Orbitz, while the other two rooms were booked through Expedia by someone else in our party. Unfortunately, a week and a half before our trip, I learned that the hotel we had booked was being shut down by the Fire Marshall immediately due to ongoing renovations. The girls who booked the two rooms through Expedia called them immediately to get this issue resolved.
Expedia upgraded these girls to two rooms in a 5-star hotel called the Fountainbleau without any additional cost to them. As soon as I found out about the situation, I called Cheaptickets/Orbitz to get my room changed. It took four different phone calls for a total of 5.5 hours on the phone to try and get this problem resolved, 1 hour with an employee, 3 hours with a supervisor, Nadia, and another 1.5 hours with a manager, Claudia. How sad that neither of these persons in a supervisory position cared about not separating our group. When I mentioned what Expedia did, and that I didn't want to be separated from my party, Cheaptickets/Orbitz would only place me in a comparable hotel, The Holiday Inn, which was originally booked.
The Holiday Inn is 20 blocks from our original hotel, which was right in the heart of South Beach. Earlier in the day, Fontainbleau had comparable prices to the Holiday Inn so I could not understand why they wouldn't want to satisfy their customer. However, they were too focused on ensuring I would be placed in the same star hotel that was originally booked. Cheaptickets/Orbitz did not care about the inconvenience this may have caused us, nor did they care to match what their direct competitor did. I'm not comparing apples to oranges with these two travel agencies; they are direct competitors! Stay away from Cheaptickets/Orbitz!

We booked a package reservation and kept receiving emails with changes of flight times. I called in for help but spent hours on the phone with terribly poor customer service. To make a long story short, we wound up with receiving flight time we would never pay for and a long letter explaining that connection time of 15 minutes complies with the airline policies. I wrote to BBB and it did not help. Our complaint got labeled "resolved" even though nothing got resolved. We were offered $100 discount coupon for a future use. :)
We will never use Cheaptickets even for a free trip. This is our first and last time dealing with a company that completely lose our trust and respect. And yes, NO refunds. NEVER USE IT because the product you paid for will change many times and you will lose any purchasing power of your cash. By the way, cancellation would cost you at least $500 with all the fees.

I purchased round trip tickets for domestic flights in Thailand. I also bought travel insurance through Cheap Tickets for $57. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to change the date of my return flight. There is no way to change the flight online, so I tried to call the customer service phone number several times, but the robot reception kept me waiting for more than 15 to 20 minutes each time.
On my last attempt, after 10 minutes of waiting, I was able to speak to a human who tried to transfer me to another department; after waiting another 11 minutes, their line disconnected. The phone calls cost me $53.78. I called the travel insurance and that turned out to be worthless. I guess unless you have a complete disaster such as losing a leg or a loved one, nothing is covered! I wound up buying new tickets for me and my wife. I will never buy tickets from this company again.

I booked a flight from Melbourne to Singapore. At the end of the process after entering my credit card details, an error message popped up saying they could not complete my booking and I should try again later. I checked my bank statement and they had taken about $700 for the flight. No email confirmation or any communication was received. The flight is still listed as available on their website. I have had the same problem with Bravofly and they are probably selling a ticket that is not available and yet they leave it listed and ask you to try again. Each time you try, you will lose more money.
I will probably have to wait a week to get the refund even though I never made a purchase. I have called their customer support line and got a message saying waiting time is 5 minutes. I have been waiting for 33 minutes now on hold. I am calling from Australia but luckily, I am using Skype or this would cost me a fortune. I will give them an earful if they ever answer. Bottom line, don't bother with them or other sites which seem to be associated with Priceline and Orbitz.

The outsourced customer service agents had no clue what they were doing and offered a different (wrong) answer every time I called them (one even refused to let me talk to her supervisor after failing to answer ALL of my questions).
I was told to cancel flights first and then rebook, but now have to wait up to 1.5 months in order to receive my refund. They somehow neglected to tell me that beforehand... My trip will be history by then. Very deceptive business practices and poorly trained personnel prompt me to warn all travelers to NEVER USE CHEAPTICKETS.COM FOR ANY REASON.

My boss has cancelled 3 flights over the past 6 months. I found a flight for my boss on CheapTickets online and wanted to ensure that one of his credits using US Airways would be applied. My complaint with CheapTickets is as follows:
Reservations could not help with the credit even though I had the appropriate airline ticket number and record locator and dates. I was transferred from Reservations to Customer Service and then given another number. By this time, I had been on the phone 1 hr and 15 minutes and still no resolve. After repeating my issue many times, the CheapTickets representation kept forgetting what I wanted and then used my name instead of my boss' name to search for his credits - after I repeatedly told her the traveler's name.
Boy, have these people even graduated elementary school? I was told that I would have to go directly to the airline as the credit had been taken back. I'm still not sure what that meant and she could not explain it either. They also stated that there was no written policy on that issue. I called the US Airways airline and even though the flight was more expensive and the refund was not adequate to say the least but finally, I did get good customer service! I'm very dissatisfied with CheapTickets!

I booked a complicated multi-city trip with Cheaptickets. My ticket covered multiple airlines. After booking, I wanted to make a change to one leg of my journey, as I was supposed to be traveling the 400 miles to the airport by boat; but the boat was canceled due to adverse weather conditions. I called Cheaptickets multiple times over 5 days. I spent a total of 6.5 hours on hold over the phone calls. Each time I called, I was given different information by the agents. Several agents told me my ticket could be changed, and then later said they could not change it.
Several times, when I called Cheaptickets, I was told to call the airline. When I called the airline, I was told to call Cheaptickets. Today, I spoke with an agent who took my number and said he would call back within 60 minutes. After 2.5 hours, he had not called, so I called back. After 35 minutes on hold, I was told that there was no record of my previous call, and I had to start again. I am now left with the situation that I will have to book an extra flight to get to the airport, as I am not allowed to change my flight, cancel my flight, or simply fail to show up for my flight.
The most frustrating thing has been the lack of knowledge on the part of the agents, the poor phone lines, and the lack of consistent information. In addition, after booking the ticket, it is impossible to get hold of the cancellation policy. This policy is only available to customers prior to booking. After booking, you are directed to a 'terms and conditions' page; but it does not state the full terms of the ticket, only the very basic terms. It is therefore impossible to look up the terms that you have agreed to unless you save them at the time of booking.

I book my ticket with wrong last name because I booked it by my marriage last name that does not match with my passport. Then I call China Airline. They let me call the agent. It meant I have to call Cheaptickets. I've waited for them about an hour. My 1st call was 30mins (I have to hang up). My 2nd call was 25mins. A lady picked up my call and then she asked for my reference number, but I took about 5 secs to find it. Actually I prepared it before, but I've waited too long and that’s why I need a little time to find it again. Then she shouted at me! "What's your reference number? What's your reference number? What's your reference number?" I said, “Give me a sec.” Then I asked her to change my last name to be my maiden's name. She said she can’t do it because of China Airline's policy. Then I tell her, "I already called the airline, but they let me to call you."
I asked her to find out how do I fix it. She gave me the best way is to cancel my ticket and then buy it again. Just $100 refund fee! She said just one way I can do. She asked me like “You have to lose $100" and that it's better than I lose your ticket. It means $1068. (Is this a good word to tell a customer?) Then I asked her, “Can I cancel my ticket online?” She said, “No. If you want to cancel, I do it for you now.” Then I hang up and call China Airline again. Then I tell all. I talked to them. The man who picked up my call is so so good. He said, “China Airline can help you. But next time, just buy from the airline.” He asked me to send him my ID and passport photocopy, and then he fixed it and sent me an email. My last name was changed. I pay $0 for him. It means like Cheaptickets just don’t want to help me. She wanted to charge me $100… that I don’t have to pay. "Cheaptickets’ horrible agent." Don’t choose them.

I have read others' complaints and mine are so similar it's eerie (so far I have not lost any money though). I am traveling to Las Vegas on 4/21 and they "organized" everything for me (if you can call it that). I booked and paid for the trip on Sept. 12. They changed the flights on us a couple of times, but I was able to get them how we had originally agreed to and wanted them but it is a package and I have vouchers I have paid for and they can't send them to me in one package. There were computer problems, computer glitches, computer upgrades. This has been going on since January. This is their business!
I need the vouchers for my transfers to and from the airport, my trip to the Grand Canyon (they screwed up the date and I'm now trying to fix it one day later), and the hotel confirmation. I think these things will be all set but I've spent countless hours of my precious time waiting on hold, then waiting on hold and then waiting on hold to find out they couldn't get me the info and I would have to look into it over and over. Today was the last straw and I did speak to a supervisor but she wasn't real helpful either. I still don't have the documents I need and she said that I would have them in 24 hours. I have heard, "I apologize," at least 40 times but that doesn't fix it and they don't really mean it; it seems so rehearsed.
I did file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If you buy the "extras" that you would like to take separately, you get much better service! I purchased a ticket today for the monorail from them directly and I had the voucher/confirmation/ticket within 5 minutes! This is ridiculous for a so-called travel agency to cause people all these problems when they are counting on nice vacations they have been waiting for a long time only to encounter so many problems from Cheap Tickets. They practically ruin your trip!
Do these reports actually go anywhere? I would like to see Cheap Tickets improve their service pronto and put out a notice of apology of how they have inconvenienced many of their customers. I am totally disgusted with them!

When I didn't receive confirmation from CheapTickets, I thought the transaction failed, so I booked the flight again. The booking information flight details were the same as far as the traveler's name, flight day arrival and departure, and birth date. The only difference was the initial flight was a multiple carrier flight, one way AA, and the other Jet Blue; the second time booking, both flights were Jet blue.
My husband's bank statement showed 2 withdrawals for the previous flight and the second. Realizing this, I then contacted Cheaptickets.com customer service rep. to assist me with this issue. The total booking for the flight was $328, only a minimal refund of $91 was credited to my husband's account. I spoke to 3 representatives and was still not able to resolve anything regarding the double booking fees and one way flight that was never used. The rep said the money would be forfeited due to a spelling error with my email address. They claimed that I forgot the "H" in Yahoo, even though I have to log in to book the flight and I have other contact info in case of any errors during booking. Still, no one contacted me but the money was deducted from my husband's account twice.
After no progress was made, my husband and I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. We were able to get his name, Lander, who was the least helpful of all. He was rude, abrupt, unprofessional and continuously arguing with my husband. Lander refused to refund any booking fees when another rep before him was ready to assist us. He made no accommodations to improve the situation. At this point, my husband asked to speak to Lander's supervisor. Lander repeatedly asked my husband why he wanted to speak to his supervisor, and said that he was above his supervisor. Lander also said he was right under CheapTickets' owner in rank. He refused to transfer him to his supervisor, but did say her name was Chloe. My husband again asked to be transferred to a manager or supervisor and Lander refused to do so.
At this point, my husband said that he would be contacting Better Business Bureau to file a complaint about his unsatisfactory experience with CheapTickets. My husband made one final attempt to ask to speak to someone else and Lander refused and mockingly reminded my husband that he thought he was going to contact Better Business Bureau. That was the end of the call. I have booked several flights prior to this one and had no issues, but after this, I can no longer use the services of CheapTickets.

I booked a relatively cheap flight three months in advance. The next day, my teenage daughter was suddenly hospitalized. She was hospitalized again shortly before I was due to go on vacation. I decided to cancel my vacation. Cheaptickets.com made me submit doctor’s office reports from my doctor and every single specialist she had seen for the past year. Then they decided because the first time she was hospitalized was related to the ultimate reason I had to cancel, then I would not be eligible for a refund due to it being pre-existing. I argued it.
Then they said because my daughter was hospitalized the day after I booked my trip, I was told there is a 24-hour period after booking where there is no insurance; i.e., insurance doesn’t start until 24 hours after you book your flight. Crazy. Why would I book a flight if I knew my daughter was going to become ill? This all took nine months to figure out. They were very evasive and had no direct lines and no names of people to work with. It was the worst experience. I got zero even though I had insurance. They looked for every single possible way to get out of it, and eventually, they found it. Exhausted, I gave up.

I booked a ticket through CheapTickets to travel to India on October 15, 2012. My flight was from Lincoln-Chicago-New Delhi-Kolkata and return was in reverse order. I could not travel on that date, but I did cancel the ticket on Oct. 13 and I was told by their customer care people that the ticket is valid for one year and to re-book, I just need to give a call. I decided my next travel date and called them on Dec. 16 to book for Mar. 15 in same airlines and same locations.
For the last 7 days I have been talking to CheapTickets customer service. I called more than 20 times and talked to four supervisors, all of them just assuring me that they will handle everything. They are telling me to talk to Air India, and the Air India people telling me to talk to CheapTickets. Finally, CheapTickets people talked to Air India head office and now they are telling me to go to a local Air India office to re-book the ticket. I am living in Lincoln and the nearest Air India office is in Chicago. I am a student and I don't have a car. I cannot go to Chicago which is an 8 hour drive from here. I don't know what to do. Those CheapTickets people are telling me that they cannot do anything.

I booked with Cheap Tickets a multi-destination flight not because the tickets are cheap, but to avoid complications with multiple airlines. First of all, the tickets are not cheap; the company service is cheap indeed. After making a reservation, additional fees apply. So the price you see initially on your screen is not what you will pay at the end. I had to cancel my trip and end up having $1,770 at Cheap Tickets account. They do not even offer you an option of full or practical reimbursement, in spite of the fact that I cancelled 2 weeks before the flight and the airline rules allowed me for full refund.
At the time of new booking, one of the airlines I was originally booked for discontinued the flights to the destination I needed to go. Cheap very Cheap Tickets, after almost weekly calls during 6 months, offered me a multi-stop and longest possible trip, while only 1 stop travel 2 shorter was available on their site. In addition, they charged me the full price of the previous ticket, plus 90% of the price of the current fare between origin and destination. I end up paying for a new ticket. To cut it short, stay away from cheap tickets! And again, stay away from www.cheaptickets.com.

I booked a trip and unfortunately could not make it to the outgoing day. They wanted to charge me a $200 fee for canceling and rebooking. Plus, I had to pay the value of a new ticket, which left me to practically buying the trip all over again. American Airlines did not want to help me and canceled both my leaving and returning flights. I couldn't even buy a one way ticket to my destination which would've been much cheaper than canceling! I can't believe how these airline companies can get away with stealing people's money like this! I originally paid $800 for the trip and ended up paying $1,500. There should be a law against what they are doing to their customers! Instead of benefiting themselves, they're only making themselves look worse and lead customers like me to go elsewhere for any future flights. I'm very disappointed in their customer service and I do not recommend their company to anyone.

My parents purchased ticket from Chile to fly all the way to Hawaii to visit my new born daughter and their itinerary was a nightmare, thanks to this mismanaged company. My parents are now going to have to buy a whole new set of tickets to fly back home and now because of the short, each ticket will cost over $2,536 (one way)! So this 3-day trip will end up costing them just about $7,000 total.

Later, I realized it would really have been cheaper to cancel my ticket, reschedule it for the sooner date and just pay $200 in change fee charges. But no, I cancelled the tickets which even with the credit I cannot use, booked a new flight and now I'm out $1000 rather than being just out the original $600 for the first tickets and $200 for the change over fees. I bought a round-trip ticket to Venezuela in June of this year. The airline had made a mistake in the scheduling. So, I called Cheaptickets customer service and they put me on a three-way call with Insel Airlines to discuss the situation. The airline then gave options: for a rescheduled ticket or to receive a full refund. I chose the refund option and the Insel representative informed the Cheaptickets representative to approve the refund. Then, the Cheaptickets representative informed me it could take up to 45 days for the money to be back in my account. 45 days passed and I hadn’t received anything yet. I then called Cheaptickets to see what had happened and they informed me that they are waiting for the Airline to respond, that the airline never responded to their emails.
I then called the airline and they told me that Cheaptickets never sent them anything and that they support the refund 100% but Cheaptickets always has the same issue. They lied to me and said it’s the airline’s responsibility. But I bought the ticket through a third-party site and it must be them (Cheaptickets) who have to refund me the money. It’s been over 90 days and I've called more than 20 times and they always tell me the same thing and keep extending the length of time. I need that money to help with my debt since I had to buy another ticket because of this incident. It’s around $800 and I've been waiting for months.

My previous comment got worse. I had typed the previous review when we were on hold with Cheap Tickets not thinking it could get any worse. All the stories on here are dead in terms of what people experience because we went through it all. We were on the phone for over 4 hours and we finished our call at 2 am Eastern Time. We changed our tickets to what we had originally requested when we made the reservation. But as the supervisor is processing the tickets, she is putting the charges through multiple times. She charged us while we were on the phone 3 times for one reservation and we hadn't even addressed the second one yet.
We got our credit card company on the call and got them involved, so they realized there should only be two authorized charges. Then we blocked Cheap Tickets from doing anything further. Please try to cover all your bases and get the credit card company involved. If you can, record what takes place. The supervisor must have put us on hold for at least 20 minutes trying to process the second transaction. She said she was having issues with her system. I was reviewing all of our documents and reservations and come to find out that the reservation that I booked for 4 adults for a 6:10am flight had been put on 2 separate flights with 2 adults flying at 6:55pm and 2 adults at 8:00pm.We were on the phone for over 2 hours with Cheap Tickets and our credit card company so we could possibly dispute the charges.
After 2 hours, we were able to get the "Cheap Tickets" $50/person fee waived, but they stated there is a $36 fee per person from the airline they can do nothing about. Not to mention, we started off our call with someone in India who didn't want to handle the call so he told us he needed to transfer us to an international department. When someone picked up, she knew nothing about what we were calling for nor was she from an international department. This company ropes people in with discounted tickets and then causes issues for their customers so they can continue to charge fee after fee to make additional money.

I purchased a SG-NY-SG ticket from Cheaptickets recently. They had this $50 discount if you use DBS credit cards and they had the cheapest fare for the said route (via Cathay Pacific), so I decided to make the booking and paid for the ticket online using a DBS American Express credit card. Yes, I did get a confirmation for the flight and even called the airline to check if the flight was confirmed and they said it is; however, there were 2 issues during the transaction I made with Cheaptickets:
The $50 discount was not applied. I was told by their stupid customer service rep that I have to use a legitimate credit card from DBS that is not linked to any credit card network. Where can you possibly find a credit card that is not linked with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or any other credit card network? Someone named Ashleigh did get back to me and the reference number for the issue I raised is #**, but I never heard from this person again. I was even told to send a photocopy of the front of the card I used, but up to this day, no discount is refunded back to my card.
I was charged twice, one for a transaction dated May 29 (an approval code was given to me by DBS) and another for a transaction dated May 30. Apparently, the transaction dated May was the one claimed by Cheaptickets. I again raised this with them, sent them the details provided by the bank and asked for them to send me an email saying that there was no double charging so I can send it to the bank for the amount to be released back to my account. Well, Cheaptickets was very cooperative. They did not even bother replying to any of my emails. Not even Vayama replied. Good thing the bank released the fund eventually to my account 10 banking days after the apparent transaction. I was told the amount was not claimed by merchant.
The only consolation is that the flight was indeed booked according to Cathay Pacific. If it wasn't, I don't know how else I will get my money refunded back to me. Cheaptickets/Vayama does sell cheap fares; however, their customer service really sucks big time.

Every time I clicked on one, it would come back and say "this fare is no longer available" or "this fare has changed, it is now $5000". I am not making this up. Finally, I got a decent fare to go through but before I bought it, I called them to see if the agent could get a better deal. He quoted me $896, while I was staring on a screen of a dozen fares less than that. How honest. So I purchased the one I had locked in and it actually processed. Miraculous! Later, I was curious so I searched my trip again and an unbelievable $569 RT to Hawaii from DFW popped up. Of course, when I selected it, no surprise - "this fare is no longer available" as did the following half dozen fares less than what I paid.
And before I bought those tickets, after searching for the best airfare for hours, I attempted to buy tickets through Orbitz which is partner (or the same company) with Cheaptickets. Three times my purchase failed due to some error. I then went to a different airfare site and almost made a purchase when I thought I should check my bank account. Turns out Orbitz had 2 charges for $1500.00 pending on my bank account. So to be precise, they had tied up over $3000 of my money on failed transactions. That should be illegal. Then instead of them taking the initiative to return my money, I had to call half a dozen times before I found someone who knew what to do. First, they said it would clear in 3-10 business days. My $3000 was going to possibly sit in limbo for 10 days? Finally, they called my bank (WF) which was no help either and now my funds should be available within 48 hours. I have contacted the BBB concerning this and was told that they could not refund my ticket but that they would give me a voucher to use on an identical flight if they could find one, minus the airline fees of $150 which I already knew and a fee of their own of $50 and the difference of the ticket. Then I received another for the price on one of the tickets. Ten minutes later, I received the same the charges for the second ticket which was a different price due to it leaving from a different airport. About 10 minutes after that, I received another text from my bank informing me that I had been charged again for that same second ticket. I called my bank. They confirmed that I was charged twice, the same charge for that second ticket. And while I was on the phone with my bank, I was charged a third time for that same second ticket. I called Cheaptickets.com. After many hours of trying to explain that they where charging me unauthorized charges, they where very rude and stated it was my fault.
After many hours on hold, I had a conference call with the supervisor, Marvin and my bank. It was settled. As for Marvin to send a fax to my bank at that time to reverse all those charges and the bank would put the money back in my account. Marvin told me that he was doing it as we spoke and that after it was done and I got my money back into my account that Cheaptickets dot com would let me have that same ticket at the same price as the first charge for that ticket because after all the time sent trying to solve this matter. The price went up and keeps going up as I am writing this.
As of this afternoon, my bank has not received the fax that Marvin from Cheaptickets dot com said he sent. And I have no ticket for the flight that I needed for work. Also I don't have the extra money to buy this ticket due to Cheaptickets.com robbing me. I am on hold now and have been on the phone trying to fix this for three hours already today not counting almost 10 hours yesterday. And I still have not got my money back nor has my bank received the fax from Cheaptickets.com.
Also I have not gotten my ticket for the trip in which puts me to work and the helper has his and I am charged for it and can't get that money back because I got his reservation. I hope people take the time to read this and the others that I have read now that this has happened and don't use Cheaptickets.com. They have put me through much hardship and stress and have done nothing to fix the problem but make it worst. I plan on getting a lawyer. There seems to be no laws to keep this from happening. I never thought something like this could happen without being resolved. If I took that money from someone, I would be in jail.

On June 11, 2011 on my return home, my niece phoned and asked how was my trip. I was shocked for I asked how did you know I was out of town. She stated she received a call from her bank in which showed my ticket was charged to her credit card. I stated yes I was out of town, but I used my credit card. I phoned Cheap Tickets to explained her card was charged in error and if we can reverse the charges for I had placed my credit card for payment. The Supervisor, Roman, stated, "we do not make such mistakes and you would just have to reimburse her for the ticket."
I stated this was a business trip and I needed this to be charged to the Company's credit card. I was trying to get this matter resolved and taken care of without any problems. He told me, "well, you have problems now and you just got **." I asked if there was a number to their Corporate office for this was just uncalled for and he stated, "I am as good as you will get." So, I advised my niece to dispute the charges and they will have to phone me for payment.
On August, a lady named Paula phoned and demanded payment be settled or else. I advised the phone call to the last Supervisor and she stated, "well, that was that and now lets get the payment matter settled." After I told her, "I was more than willing to make the payment before it got this far now you will just have to fax over everything in writing in order for me to submit the payment." As of today no fax has been received except a credit card authorization form with the statement no Corporate number or contact person, needs to be given or phoned just the payment needed. Now, she is phoning my niece and stating she is sending her to collections and she needs to file a police report again for allowing their company to charge her credit card.
Per PCI compliance no credit card is to be on file of any company for continuous charging and I gave my credit card for my booking. Per Paula, they don't make mistakes and she has start to phone my niece stating I told her it is fine to charge her card again, when I am still waiting on the backup in writing in order to make this payment.

I made a reservation to fly home from New York when I was to meet my son there on his return from Afghanistan. I would have driven his auto to him and flown home. I bought insurance to cover any change of plans by the military on the arrival dates. Access America travel insurance by Cheap Tickets. Two days later the arrival changed by a month and more. And on that day I called and filed a claim. A full two weeks before the ticket dates.
I was informed just today that they were not going to honor my claim. I jumped through thier hoops with a letter from my sons commanding officer who was not happy she was being asked to write it, repeated contacts via internet and telephone conversations. I have never been mugged before but now I know how it feels. Will you protect us or is all lost?

I hate cheaptickets, and will never use it again. I hope people will be cautioned after reading this. I payed for 2 tickets which cost over 4 grand all together. I canceled one and it's been a month and I still don't have a dime for my refund! I and going to sue and hope no one ever uses this service. Not to mention their horrible customer service where the people have no clue what they are doing and put you on hold for ages only to give you information that is not use full at all! I'm very disappointed.

Monday, October 24, 2011, I went on CheapTickets.com and booked a flight. Two hours later, I find out my card was charged $390.80 for my flight and a $6.99 processing fee. Great, but I was also charged an additional $6.99 twice, and I was charged an additional $397.80 for no apparent reason. In total my bank held $809.57 for an airfare that was suppose to be for $390.80. No where on their website does it say i will charged the $6.99 processing fee.
When I called the bank they needed a fax to release the funds from CheapTickets. I called CheapTickets. The first customer service agent, Willis, hung up on me after being on hold for twenty minutes. The second customer service agent, Theador, hung up on me after being on hold for fifteen minutes. The third customer service agent, Arin, hung up on me after being on hold for thirty five minutes, and after working with me for another twenty two minutes on getting this fixed.
It was now 5:00 pm on the 18th, so I gave up for the day. Next day, when I checked my bank, the flight funds had been released and one of the $6.99 holds had been removed but not the other $6.99 or the $397.80. I called CheapTickets back and got Colline as my customer service agent. Who finally took care of me. After another forty two minutes on the phone, I called my bank right after that call and confirmed the fax was received. Still waiting for the funds release to be issued by my bank, because they still have to research it?
For all of this trouble they did not do a single thing to try to earn my business. Unlike others I was never offered a credit in the future and I will never use their service again.

I was not handled in the way I was supposed to. I called Cheaptickets because when I was trying to confirm my reservation for a hotel, there was a price update; and when I decided to go back and look at the price, the system changed my date of arrival for that day and somehow charged my credit card twice. I called Cheap idiots to get everything squared away, and they got the refund; but the date was supposed to be the next day. How do I know? Because my birthday was the next day, and I specifically was yelling that day to change the date and refund my money. So I thought everything was squared away.
The next day, I drove three states away and they tell me that my reservation was for yesterday. I called Cheaptickets and they tried to play dumb, I had no place to stay and those bastards took my money. I had to come up with extra money out-of-pocket up to $200. I was using them for quite a while up until this point. I advise everyone to use someone better like Kayak, because Cheaptickets are false; they don't care about customer's issues when it's their fault, and will ** you over!

I got an email from my credit card company indicating that CheapTickets.com tried to charge my card $6.99. I never authorized such a charge and when I called CheapTickets for an explanation and how they got my card number, they refused to answer my questions and eventually hung up on me. The supervisor's name was Yakim. They are charging credit cards without authorization! I never made a purchase on their site nor even attempted to do so. I don't know how they even got my card number and they wouldn't give an explanation for this fraudulent activity.

$150 fee for a change in departure time. The error made was 7:05PM vs 7:05AM. I just missed the 24-hour credit policy. It was honest mistake. It wasn't like the date was changed. My mistake I know, but I believe someone could have credited. Delta Airlines, I will be much more careful in choosing airlines in the future.

I've experienced technical problems making online reservation last Sunday, August 21. After two hours with the same error message, I called in and spent about 23 minutes on hold. Finally when I talked to the agent, I've explained her my interest in booking an affordable soonest flight from Denver, CO to Dulles, VA . She made the booking and gave me a reservation number. She said I will receive an email with all the details. I've not received email still.
Fine. So when I've arrived at the airport to my US Airways 6:45 a.m. flight and talked to the US Airways agent, it was discovered that my final destination will be Washington, DC-DCA airport, not as I've requested and confirmed verbally for IAD, Dulles Airport, VA. I've called immediately Cheaptickets customer service, but after 15 minutes on hold without an agent, I had to take the flight.
It's horrible to come to the airport this early and discover such a frustrating news because my car was at the Dulles airport. So it was extremely important for me to land there. I had to spend $31 on a taxi ride from one airport to another plus pay for extra hours at the airport parking. Since such a horrible mistake was made by your representative, I'm officially filing this as a complaint and want a refund for the taxi ride plus parking overage. This is something I've never expected from Cheaptickets cause I travel with you much.

I tried to book a flight to Seattle WA on 8-18-11 @ 18:40. The flight was in the early morning. When I was done with the website, I came back to select another selection without thinking I did. My daughter-in-law gives a call telling me there are plenty of seats available for that flight for 9-13-11, so I called Alaska Airlines, thinking that they could help me, then they turn me back to Cheap Tickets to make changes. This is a big mistake on my part, using them again after a mistake back in July of 2011.
Cheap Ticket did not email or pm me about changes in my flight. I let that go because I have been using Cheap Tickets for years. So, anyway, I called up Cheap Tickets to discuss my situation with the representative (I forgot his name). Well, he told me there was an error in the website and there is nothing he could do, even if I just booked the flight that I did not want 15 minutes prior to me calling up Cheap Tickets. After 15-20 minutes of speaking with him, I then asked for his supervisor. I was on hold for 5 minutes, thinking he was telling her what was going on. She came on the line, clueless of my situation, so I had to start from the beginning again to explain myself.
The only thing she could do is cancel my ticket, send me a refund, and reschedule my flight with a cancellation fee of total of $150.00. "No way," I told her, "This is not my error! Your rep told me this was a website error on Cheap Ticket site and he did apologize for that. However, apology is not going to fix my problem." Then, she offers me a $50.00 coupon for my next trip. I told her I will never use Cheap Ticket again. Alaska Airline already told me this is an easy fix from one flight # to another.
I will never use Cheap Tickets again, too many mistakes and too many lame excuses. The flight #539 on 9-13-11 is the one I wanted. This is the one that came back to select a different flight without explanation. Like I said, the rep at Cheap Ticket told me this was a website error on their end. Why should I have to pay the fees and plus all this took place within or less than 1 hour of booking, placing call to Cheap Ticket rep, and speaking to the supervisor.

I booked a round-trip flight from Detroit to San Juan. Both legs are connecting through DC. I booked this in January 2011 for a trip in December 2011. I checked the flight last night. They canceled the first leg return trip from San Juan to DC! I was on the phone for over an hour. UA supposedly informed them that the flight was canceled due to "mechanical issues". Is this real? Are they anticipating this?
