I bought a domestic flight which would not cost me not more than 250 dollars. I tried Cheap Tickets and when I saw the statement they charged me over 2k. I called the customer service which they have policy of no fee cancellation if less than 14 hours. I did and the customer service said it would refund in 1-3 days. The money has not refunded and I called again and was told me to deal with airline company. After argumentation that I bought through cheap tickets, I was told that would be refunded in 8 business days. Making the story short. I got overdraft fee in my account and still waiting for my refund.

Do not use Cheaptickets to book a flight. They don't have up-to-date airline scheduled flights, site crashed; ultimately days later reversed the destination of a flight because the original flight departure time and day did not exist. They charged my credit card and refused to refund the price of the erroneously scheduled flight. Go directly through the airline you will be flying on.

Purchased tickets one year ago. Had to cancel trip due to health condition. I was told I had one year to rebook tickets and not lose my money. Tried calling almost every day. Either I get put on hold for hours or I get hung up on. Seems to be doing this on purpose so I can’t rebook my flight. This went on for weeks until my deadline to rebook passed and I lost my $1300. This is the worst company ever!!!!

My husband was flying this Sept 2020 to watch a college football game in Portland Oregon. Football was cancelled because of Covid-19. Portland also was having bad riots, it wasn’t safe. My husband and his friends cancelled the trip. He bought the insurance from Cheap Tickets. The other 2 guys booked with Delta directly and got a full refund within 7 days. Cheap Tickets said it didn’t fall in the guidelines to use the insurance. After many conversations online and on the phone and a bad review on Twitter they contacted us and they are giving my husband a voucher to use within two years. Do yourself a favor and just book directly with the Airline. They usually have the same deals anyways.

I purchased a flight on June 14th, I cancelled said flight within 1 hour of booking it. Called and spoke to someone who stated my refund would be credited within 72 hours. All of a sudden today 6/18 they are stating I never cancelled the flight and they randomly cancelled it themselves and will now only give me a credit to their website. Been on hold for over 2 hours, and get nothing but how they didn't do anything wrong and I am wrong. As the customer, and during a world wide pandemic I would think they would have a bit more customer service. I will NEVER use their service again, and honestly if I could rate them a negative star I would. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.

Goodness, this is a rather long and unnecessary story, but I’ll paraphrase: Initially, I booked a flight to Morocco. Like many of us, I had to cancel my trip due to the COVID pandemic. The policies of Cheaptickets regarding cancellations is ridiculous. It took 3 weeks before I got an email and moreover, when I called to confirm, it WASN’T CANCELLED! Once my cancelled flight was confirmed, I received my flight credit to use towards another flight. I read on their website that I had to call to use my credit? WHY???? If customers have a credit to use, why can’t we use it as quick as a click of a few buttons on the website? It saves both the company and consumer the stress of calling, and prevent HIGH call volume! To use my credit towards another flight, it took 3 phone calls all in which took an hour or more, to use my credit.
Shoot. I am still on the phone with them NOW as I am typing this review trying to get the matter resolved. What I find amazing is that there are no hoops to jump when Cheaptickets wants to take your money, but there all kinds of hoops to jump to either get your money back or to EVEN USE IT TOWARDS ANOTHER FLIGHT. Lesson learned. From now on, I will be booking directly through the airlines because this company makes it harder on the customer not to mention the representatives that have to be on the line with us. The reps should not have to go through what they go through to resolve issues that can be as easy as a click of a damn button. This experience was a total nightmare and I will be spreading the word on the dangers of using Cheaptickets.

I booked a business class ticket with CheapTickets with British Airways as the primary carrier. On the day before the flight was supposed to depart I checked both cheap tickets and British airways websites and they both said my flight was cancelled. I contacted cheap tickets website on the 12th and was told they could not contact British Airways. The person I talked to said they were going to refer my case to a contractor and I would receive a reply within 48 hours. On the 15th I decided to call again and explained that I had called on the twelfth and did not receive a call back as I was promised. I was placed on hold five separate times and the final person told me I would need to wait an additional 6 days! The excuse I was given was COVID 19. This is just an excuse! IT does not take 10 days to process a refund!

Unbeknownst to me, when I sought to book a flight on Jet Blue to Florida, Cheaptickets commandeered my attempt. It popped up, and I believed it was a legitimate way to book a flight. Boy was I wrong! It was a nightmare. As soon as I booked my flight, I was NEVER able to contact this company again. Furthermore, it convinced me to book insurance with Travel Guard, another scam operation. It led me to believe that I could get insurance if I cancel or change my flight. all lies!!! It was impossible to contact these companies to cancel our flights. Most egregious, they do not honor senior citizens during the corona pandemic. They took my money and ran. It took me 15 hours to contact a cancellation of my flight on March 8-9, but I was told there is no compensation or even a waiver of my flight to another date. Stay away!!!

Tried the phone yesterday but quit after waiting 90 minutes. Today again, no clear way to contact. Used their booking chat option (arduously uncovered) but it circled me back to beginning. Eventually found a comments window & submitted comment on THEIR form. Their response was they cannot respond to requests on THEIR form!!. We booked our flights regrettably through Cheap Tickets, biggest mistake of our lives. They helped themselves to an extra $3k out of our bank account, plus their fee plus the ticket prices. Then when I tried to cancel they took out a further $1k+ for the cancellation, they claim Qantas wouldn't return the cancellation fee and Qantas say they never ever received payment for the flights in the first place. I booked a hotel reservation on Cheap Tickets.com on 9/23/2019 for a Hotel in Vientiane, Laos to stay at Baaris Residency & Apartment on 11/14/2019. On the reservation it stated 6 Adults, 3 bedrooms apartment, 3 double beds, 1 twin sofa bed. When we arrived at the hotel the man at the front desk looked at the Itinerary and said, "We will not honored your reservation because the price on the reservation is incorrect. It should be more." Let me remind you. We all just got off a plane coming for San Francisco. It was late and it was very hard to get a hold of cheap tickets when you're in a different country.
When I finally got a hold of cheap tickets.com I told cheap tickets.com the situation and she tried calling the hotel but they didn't answer their phone so she told me that because she wouldn't get a hold of anyone she will have to refund my money and I will have to book with another hotel. At this time it was 2am in Laos so I told her we will just walk in into a nearby hotel. She apologized and said, "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience this has cause you. I will be giving you a $50 credit towards cheap tickets.com. It will be emailed to you plus I will be refunding the money back to the credit card you use to this booking." Great! So now it's 12/19/2019. I called cheap tickets.com and said, "Hi I've been looking out for the $50 credit but I have not received anything yet."
The person on the phone said, "Oh because you don't have an account with us we will NOT be able to honored the $50 credit we promised you." Are you serious? I was livid. I was promised when I paid for a hotel with cheap tickets because I thought they were a reliable website to booked with but they broke that promised. They promised me a $50 credit but broke that too. I am very disappointed in cheap tickets.com and they need to make this right because this is very unprofessional and lying to your customers is not a good way to do business.

They sold a ticket with a connecting flight from 2 different airports without informing me when I purchased the ticket. I had no way of knowing, my flight arrived, I went to check-in to my connecting flight only to be told it was at another airport. The second airport was 1.5 hour & $50 taxi ride away. This caused me to miss my connecting flight, leading to a $500 fee from the airline and an overnight hotel charge. Plus it was in a foreign country and I couldn't speak the language and put me in a dangerous situation as a solo female. If they had explicitly stated the connecting flights were from 2 different airports, I wouldn't have purchased the ticket and the problem would not have occurred.

First let me start off by saying that I am a very easy to please person, and I really have never left reviews but if this can save anyone from the headache and stress this has caused me I want to leave this review..Now you now that Cheaptickets.com is a secondary ticket market re-seller and in my opinion they are absolutely the worst and I mean the worst website company that you could purchase tickets from. We bought tickets to our event well in advance and I mean we paid for them in July and our event was in September, if that tells you anything! I never received anything but a few confirmation emails, I reached out to the company and they assured me I would have my tickets for my event blah, blah, blah. Literally two days before our event I receive a message stating that my tickets have been accidentally purchased by someone else and they are going to FREE upgrade me to better seats.
I call them and accept the upgrade and then ask when I will be receiving my much needed tickets, so that I can print them because we are traveling to this said event almost a five hour drive and they respond by telling my I will receive my tickets anytime from 12 a.m. through 3 p.m. on the venues day. This is horrible and not acceptable this is a completely scammy website..I had to call three times get very hateful and vocal with three different reps as well as tell them I was recording them on my end and I will get my attorney to contact them and If I didn't have my tickets in hand since in all due respect, I had paid for them and I didn't understand what the problem was if they actually had my tickets why was I not receiving them already..within almost 30 minutes after the last phone call and telling them I am contacting my lawyer I had an email and had my tickets sent to me! Thank Goodness I had my tickets in time for this event.
The stress of this place is stupid for the money you spend..I will never ever buy from them again from now on I will stick with Stub Hub like I always should have done and always got my tickets within a few minutes of purchasing...I hope this review saves you some headache and stress..Don't buy from them. The tickets are only a fraction cheaper. After the fees are charged you actually pay more..

I was only trying to eliminate the 4th extra reservation and canceled the entire reservation! My attempt at an escalation was thwarted because they only look to see if you agreed to have the reservation deleted not just the extra 4th individual reservation deleted. Our whole anniversary was ruined and will cost us dearly. I asked for a transcript of the phone call, they require a subpoena to release a transcript. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You’ve been warned!!!

Deceiving when selling tickets. Don't tell you that even in family emergency you lose everything. Can't reschedule, refund, voucher, nothing. You get charged for carry on at airport. Most tickets you're buying are standby and you don't know that. Husband's 92 year old mother sick and we booked ticket. Was called and he needed to go immediately. They said would cost 200 dollars more. This was 150 over getting a whole new ticket. We tried to get help. Airline finally helped us. They lie and rip you off. Very rude.

I paid $900 for concert tickets and the day after they were supposed to be delivered, I received a call asking me if I was interested in an upgrade. I was familiar with the venue, so when they told me the ticket in the original row I'd paid for was being replaced with a closer row, I asked about the seats. It wasn't an upgrade. They said "99 percent" of people would be happy with a closer row, however I explained that I'd been to the venue and this was not an upgrade. They said they'd try to get the original ticket, which was an aisle seat in a row I'd chosen so that I could stand and dance. They didn't. For $900, I'd expect better. They said this is part of the "agreement". I would not recommend using this organization. In the first place, the tickets are not cheap. I've paid this much for tickets with other organizations (StubHub, Vivid Seats) and was always thoroughly satisfied.

Two of my coworkers and myself purchased a vacation package from cheaptickets.com in July for a trip to Biloxi Mississippi. The trip was paid in full. The trip was to include flight, hotel, and car rental. We received the confirmation email after purchasing the trip which took place on August 23rd. We flew in from O'Hare to New Orleans. Was supposed to pick up the car rental and drive to Biloxi. When we went to the Thrifty Car Rental (paid in full) they informed us that even though we paid for the car in the package deal, we needed to do a credit check and was told that we didn't pass the credit check and we needed to have a major credit card to get the car! The only solution that was offered was to use our debit card and a hold of $350 was to be held.
So we called cheaptickets.com and they had us on hold for an hour. Once they did answer they stated they couldn't help us. We asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for another hour before being disconnected. We ended up going to Enterprise Rental and had to pay for another rental. Our hotel room was in Biloxi which is an hour and a half drive away. I will never use CheapTickets ever, nor recommend them to anyone!

I waited till the Aug 6th, I checked my email and no tickets, I called CheapTickets.com. They said to contact the seller, I contacted the seller. The seller said the tickets would be available at the time of the show (8pm) of that day. I waited till 8pm. No tickets, I called, they were closed. I emailed them that same night. I called the next morning. I also, emailed cheaptickets.com to let them know what happened. I asked if it was a scam.
Anyhow, long story shorter I called and emailed every day till the day before the show and was told the tickets would be at Will Call. There were tickets but not the ones I purchased. They were back row orchestra. I was never contacted by anyone from cheaptickets.com or their seller to say the tickets were downgraded. I called them again. A cheap tickets agent actually hung up on me, saying they fulfilled their obligation, the party was able to see the show! *Full disclaimer* I did get a partial reimbursement (the price difference) from the seller, not CheapTickets. Turns out Cheaptickets.com sold us Standing Room Only seats which could have been purchased directly from the Wrigley website for $28 a ticket. Spoke with several rude Cheaptickets.com customer service reps. who refused to offer a refund, despite their misleading website and charging us double the value of the tickets. I tried calling them again. After a wait of 25 mins the guy said, "Don’t call us. Call the airways itself." The airways told me the travel agency is responsible for the ticket change.
After I ended the call, the female officer I spoke at the start told me there’s no alternative days at all for the month of June and I will get refund of only $175. I called Thai Airways directly and they told me there was an available flight for 4th June and Thai Airways will call CheapTickets and inform them to provide me with that ticket. Instead of being human and either refund or attempt to reschedule, they pretended to "look into" the situation just to tell me days later of their "policy." A few days ago I was calling to book a WestJet flight, but unknowingly I was speaking to a Cheapfares employee. Immediately I noticed that the fellow who I was speaking to, was not very pleasant (like WestJet employees) and his English skills were poor. I told him I wanted to book a flight that I had quotes from a few hours earlier. He told me the fares had gone up since the afternoon ($369.00!). I asked why the huge difference and he said it goes up by the hour. I asked him if he was a WestJet employee and he said yes. I felt I was being pressured to book because of the “rapid “ increase in fare so reluctantly I paid on my visa. It was late in the evening so even though I read the first booking information that he sent, I did not read the actual reservation until a few days later. It was then that I was made aware that I had booked through Cheapfares! I went on to the WestJet site to check the current prices and they were still $369.00 less than I had been charged for my flights! I was totally misled by the Cheapfare employee.
My lesson is expensive but my warning to all is: MAKE SURE YOU ARE ACTUALLY DEALING DIRECTLY WITH THE AIRLINE YOU ARE WANTING TO FLY WITH! You only have 4 hours after you book to get your money back so take the time to go over EVERYTHING! Cheap fares are scam artists, buyers beware! When I called them back to complain, the fellow I was speaking to gave me his name when I called, (also he had poor English skills and was hard to understand.) He was very rude and when I asked him his name at the end of the call he changed his name to “Fred” and he said he had no last name. Really, a sure sign that this is not a company you want to deal with. He took my contact information from me and said that he would get the person who took my information from me to call me back. I really don't know where to start from because this has been my worst experience with travel agency. On 21st February 2018, my mum in the UK booked a ticket for me. She actually thought she was dealing with Qatar directly but unfortunately that was not the case. When she started receiving emails from cheaptickets.com she had included one of the names that's not in my passport but requested for some corrections to be done within the 24 hrs. CheapTickets did that but never reissued a ticket with the correct names.
I had to push and push till it was done. Now this is where the nightmare started, I missed my flight on the 5th of March. I went to Qatar Airlines and they told me they could not put me on the next flight since my ticket had issues and that I should go back to the travel agents. I did just that and instead of these agents helping they said they couldn't do anything. I had to request to speak to the Corporate Manager Didi, who really helped me after the supervisors and agents frustrated me. When I was now ready to pay for the difference in the price after the penalty of 440$ was taken out, another nightmare started, we paid for the difference and 48 hours down the line I've not been reissued with a new ticket after the exchange process was done.
When I called these supervisors, they kept giving me stories. The liars I spoke with was Jael, Bench and others. I became very upset and requested I speak to the manager, not that they informed me I still need to pay more even after I did the payments after being given figures by Bench. Didi picked my call and thank God she had a bit of my history. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have gotten my ticket till now. I'm grateful to Didi, the corporate manager. If it wasn't for her I would not be having my ticket. N/B: It wasn't sent to my email, it was just updated on the e-ticket section of the itinerary website. I'm so mad at this travel agency. It is the worst then when you speak to one person you won't be speaking to the same person. They keep changing. Too many contradictions yet they are of one agency. I advise people not to dare use this agency. it's been a very expensive affair on my side.

After spending time over 1 hour altogether between the different levels of customer service - had to go through the gatekeeper, then move on to a supervisor than to an actual manager, the answer I got was "we do not change flights, you got what you chose" which is NOT the case. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she put me on hold, and after another 15 minutes of waiting on hold I was hung up on. My flight through Frontier and American Airlines had a flight schedule change. As I call CheapTickets to tell them I can't do the flight change they told me I need to contact Frontier to cancel or change the time. At this point I had no idea I was also flying with American Airline. I told them I would call them but most likely will end up canceling. They asked me if I would like to confirm on the return flight which that time was a little more reasonable of a time change. They did not tell me that it was through American Airlines. Also, when I tell CheapTickets that I was probably going to cancel because the schedule did not work with mine they did not try to help me by saying maybe I should hold off on confirming the time heading home because once I confirm I cannot get my refund.
Once again I had no idea I was with American Airlines on the way back. I called Frontier and they had no problem to cancel and was going to refund me my money and that was when I realized that I was not getting my full refund back because I am not flying through Frontier on the way back. So, I contact CheapTickets again to let them know I need to cancel American Airlines also; as Frontier already refunded me. They said they cannot do a refund as I have already agreed to the change.
They should of giving me some kind of warning saying that once I accept there is no going back even if I cancel my first flight. They did not give me enough information about the schedule change policies as I would have never agreed to the change. If they knew I had a good possibility on canceling my flight to my destination why would they not warn me about the flight back? For the best customer service you would think that CheapTickets would of tried harder to help you in the best way possible. I have used CheapTickets for years and after this I will never book through them again.

We booked flights through CheapTickets for July 2017 and received an email that there was a significant flight change through American Airlines. That's fine--even expected this far out, so I call CheapTickets.com to adjust our travel plans. After 40 minutes on with Lezil trying to rebook us, it became evident she was considerably under- or untrained. She didn't know her airport codes and couldn't even read back the existing flight information without considerable errors. I gave her the new flight we wanted (I had a few options listed out). After 40 minutes, I insisted on speaking to a supervisor. There was no reason this should take this long.
After a 15+ minute wait for a supervisor, I was connected to Sheila who told me a) the supervisors are NOT co-located with the employees and b) that they have to copy over all of the information which takes a long time. I asked why I had to stay on the line and not simply get an email with the new information once they were done and was only told "the customer needs to remain on the line". I am writing this in real time and have been on the phone for 1 hour, 35 minutes at this point. I am still waiting for this to be completed.
At this point, I'd rather they cancel my reservations and give me a refund and I'll go directly to the airline and pay twice as much. Also, try to find someone to speak to at CheapTickets--they're owned by Trip Network, Inc. which is owned by Orbitz, which is now owned by Expedia--although Expedia doesn't show it as one of their brands. I asked Sheila if she's actually a CheapTickets employee or a contracted third party--she stated she was an employee. When I asked for an ETA from Sheila, I was told she couldn't give me one. I may spend half the day on the phone. Sheila has been working on this for over a 1/2 an hour so far and has not returned to the line. I generally stay away from these "bargain basement" sites, and evidently need to continue to do so.
Horribly undertrained staff, supervisors that are equally incompetent...and you're captive. You have given them hundreds, if not thousands of dollars... what choice do you have other than to walk away from that money? And call them back? Then you're starting back at 1 and have another extensive interaction wasting more of your time? I will never use CheapTickets again--and will encourage as many people as I know in my networks not to either. It's not worth the aggravation. Still no return by Sheila... and I'm at 1 hour and 45 minutes mainly on hold.

Do not do business with Cheap Tickets because it will probably result in paying your travel bill twice... once to Cheap Tickets and once to your hotel. Here is how it works. You go online, make your reservation for a hotel, give them your credit card number, they charge your credit card number right away, and send the reservation to the hotel. The catch? THEY DO NOT PAY THE HOTEL. So, when you check out you have to pay the hotel, because Cheap Tickets doesn't. Stay away from this company. They are a fraud. They should not be allowed to rip people off like that. (Confirmation number **). This company doesn't even deserve a one star.

I purchased tickets in February 2017 to attend a conference in late September. Cost was not the only factor, however, since an affiliate association was paying my ticket, I took the plunge. I arrived at the airport, only to find flight American 5183 didn't exist, all flight immediately following were booked, and I couldn't arrive home, landing at 11:10 pm. Now, no one cares, but I had late plans and am scheduled to work at my hospital beginning at 0700 am tomorrow. In reality, I care, patients care, and my hospital cares.
Flights change all the time, and honestly, that is today's travel. With that said, in this age of communication, I was not texted, emailed, or called. That is inexcusable. All of the people who moved to an earlier flight were made aware, except for me and my CheapTickets (literally) and, I hold AA somewhat responsible, as they have my frequent flyer contact information. A ticket purchased through any 3rd party is not valued as much as tickets purchased through AA. Don't do it, ever, ever, ever!

Got an email that said "hey where did you go your tickets are still available?" Tried again got the same message. Call their customer service and was told "your credit card will refund your money in 2-5 business days." I asked why and they said, "Someone bought the tickets at the same time you did." So I said, "Why was my credit card processed if someone bought my ticket at the same time." The foreign accent kept on saying "it is your credit card that charged you." I would say "no, you did when these tickets were not even available." Told them it was pure fraud and hung up.

Try to booked a complete package hotel and airfare round trip to New Orleans from Fort Lauderdale online of course several times, when using their special at the end of the booking, the prices went up by almost $200.00, anyway came back and said that she will changed my flights in order to keep the saving, Oh well it did not happens. Place me back on hold and said for an additional $50.00 she will get me where I wanted to go and the hotel that I wanted to stay. I told her flat out that what a fraud that there are no such thing as specials and deals.
Same history happens to me with CheapTickets.com. I have reason to believe that are both a parent company. I don't even know where to begin. First of all they have a call center overseas and I had such a tough time understanding what was being said over the phone. They also tell you a bunch of lies and leave out a lot of information regarding refunds and help if something goes wrong. I made a reservation on August 14th 2017 to the Dominican Republic Punta Cana to be exact. I had such a horrible experience. I was not aware they on the beach they sold drugs and it was filled with people that did not make reservations there or worked there.
I decided to take action by calling CheapTickets and asking them what are my options to get out of there because I did not feel safe at all. I explained to them what happen and they wanted nothing to do with it. I then asked them if they had any rooms available in a near hotel and they said no which was a complete lie. The hotel near me had plenty of rooms available. Also CheapTickets charged me another 550 just to cancel the hotel stay and they did not want to refund me the money. I booked a roundtrip flight to Minneapolis. Several weeks after booking the flight, I received a call from Cheap Tickets stating one of the flights had been cancelled. I called to discuss this, the representative on the phone (from another country, very difficult to understand) said that the flight had not been cancelled and that everything was ok. She re-sent the itinerary. A few days later I looked at the itinerary and noticed that my flight had been changed to a day later. So I called and explained I did not agree to this, I needed to fly out on a specific date.
After about 45 minutes on the phone, I was told that I would receive a call back the next day. I never received a callback. There is no one to email or chat with, you can only call CheapTickets and as far as I know, all calls go to a call center in another country. I have tried to call a couple more times and realize that I probably just need to book a new flight myself and eat the ticket purchased through Cheap Tickets. I STARTED CRYING as soon as I hung up the phone with corporate due to enormous disrespect. On August 21st, I purchased two tickets for my mother and I, later (an hour later) I realized they were booked under the same name (mine). I called CheapTickets customer service and they kept transferring me to one another. Keep in mind I only wanted a name change, nothing else. After 3 hours of holding and constant transferring I was finally able to speak to someone from corporate named Renee.
I am 22 years old, I know 4 languages and I'm currently working towards my masters. And this lady was speaking to me like I was trash, literally. There is no possible excuse for her to treat anyone in that manner period. When I was trying to explain to her how I only wanted a name change, or a full refund if the name change is against their policy. She was not listening. I had to get her attention a couple of times, there was a conversation in the background. Maybe she was more interested in that perhaps. She would barely speak, and when she spoke it was in a mocking tone. She even laughed when I was getting frustrated trying to explain the situation.
I asked since she's corporate there has to be a way to help, or there has to be an alternative. Not everything has to end with me losing money. My grandmother was sick and it took me a really long time to save up so I could pay for my mother and I to visit her but the corporate could not help me regards to something as simple as a name change.
I am a student, working full time and going to school full time is a hassle. I do NOT take loans, I basically pay everything off in cash, so that I won't be in debt in the future. Every student understands my struggle, and I cannot afford to lose any money. So when the company refused to refund the full amount, it was extremely unfair to me. At the end I had no choice but to agree to a refund of half of what I purchased. She asked if I would agree to the amount and I asked if I had any other choice, I feel helpless and she continued with "Yes? Ok so that's a yea. Well 285 is your refund," and hung up.
The original amount I paid was 571.12 and the fact that I lost half and on top of that gotten so much attitude and disrespect was beyond unimaginable. I booked two flights under my name, I simply wanted to give one to my mother. Again a simple name change. I did not deserve what happened to me today. I will never again purchase anything from CheapTickets.

July 27 - 5:03 pm (CT) I made a purchase for two round trip tickets MSP LAS. The confirmation page stated they would send me an email to solidify my purchase and reminded me there can be changes to the selected itinerary (ONLY ON ct.com behalf *I know. NOTE"* Confirmation page then said MSPLAS, LAS LAX (I thought that this must be an error). 5:11 PM- Received a "welcome" email mailer from CheapTickets (had nothing to do with said purchased itinerary). 5:16 PM Placed a call to CT.COM to notify them of the message I saw on the confirmation page. That I needed to be sure that this was not an error. She said it was in fact booked for MSP LAS and LASLAX. She told me to notify SPIRIT AIRLINES immediately.
5:18 PM - Received Travel confirmation (while on the line with CT.COM) Itin# **. It stated I would be flying out of LAX LAS and LAS LAX. Told her in a panic and she then connected me to SPIRIT. 5:19 ON PHONE WITH SPIRIT. They said they would fully reimburse me if we couldn't find comparable flights with their airline for the same price. They could not come up with any comparable flights and cancelled with a full refund. (THANKFUL!) 5:45 PM - Place a call back to CheapTickets.com (a.k.a. CT.COM) and was notified them I received a full refund on the flights and that I needed to now cancel my hotel due to inability to get flights to LAS from MSP (THESE ARE RECORDED LINES). I was told that the agent would need to reach out to a level two support agent in order to accommodate that. I was placed on hold for 17min then someone came on the line, they said that they would reach out to the hotel.
He wouldn't put me on a conference with the hotel's agent and had me on hold twice each at 15-20 min. He said he would have to open an investigation ticket and have a tier 2 manager call me back as the hotel could not issue a refund for the entire stay. 6:27 PM - My phone call with CheapTickets ended and I place a call to the Wynn Las Vegas to find out about their policy. They informed me that they have this happen with CheapTickets a lot. That customers complain that their pages refreshes during the booking process and flights and or dates get confused or processed wrong. They also informed me they don't own the reservation - CT.com does and they aren't even able to cancel the reservation because they aren't really my reservations until I check in and occupy the room - due to contracts with the company and its affiliates (i.e. Expedia and CheapTickets Formally Known As: Orbitz who was bought by Expedia).
6:47 PM - Received a phone call from the Tier 2 supervisor Chris ** who was none other than unresponsive and rude. He said that I needed to prove that the confirmation page went down. I told him I wasn't able to provide that but I could provide the emails I received. I didn't need Mr. ** to investigate the emails I received (that's the easy part). He was supposed to be investigating with IT if there was an issue with the system or if the booking server has errors. Mr. ** never performed such "investigation." He was merely making me feel as though I was under investigation. I explained that I was not alone during any of the booking process as my spouse and I made these reservations together. We were on the phone trying to rectify the situation together since the beginning of the process. ** didn't gather the right information and sent incorrect emails to me quoting things I did not say.
During the conversation I asked several times what the cost for the one night would be - that was never answered. I also asked if CT.com was able to find me a different flight - he never bothered looking. I never stated during my phone call that I don't want the full or partial refund. I wanted to know if it was worth canceling or if I should try and find another flight through a different carrier to get me to LAS from MSP and back. I would encourage you or your customer satisfaction department to listen to all the recordings regarding this booking.
It should also be noted that Mr. ** stated in his email he requested that I supply CT.com "The screenshots of your original booking from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, including the checkout page." It would be impossible for me to do this as my original booking page would no longer be available hours after the booking to place. Why would one screenshot unconfirmed bookings when they are told to watch their inbox for their confirmed tickets and that tickets are "subject to changes?"

We had purchased an early flight, so we arrived at the airport 2 hours before. As we were in the check in line, we noticed 2 other airlines flying into Orlando. As we reached the ticket counter we were told our flight had been canceled. I could not understand why? The ticket counter person indicated that the plane had been overbooked! How is that possible? I bought my plane tickets 2 months ahead?
They offered to put my family on another flight at an airport 2 states away. He wrote on a piece of paper and handed it to us, and said "You bought a vacation package through those 3rd party websites, the airline does not guarantee you a seat." I could not believe what I was hearing! I paid $2300!!! for hotel and airfare! How could they not honor my purchase??? Completly distraught, and upset I paid a taxi a second time to drive us back home 45 minutes away. Upon arriving home, I immediately contacted CheapTickets for an explanation.
They offered to put us on a plane within 24 hours... Only to have them contact us 10 minutes after receiving a confirmation, to let us know that once again our flight had been canceled! I could not believe it! By now... the vacation was completely ruined! It's now Saturday July 15th and my wedding anniversary is tomorrow. I notified CheapTickets prior to flight departure of this issue and they were not helpful in assisting. In fact, they told me to call Lufthansa. Under airline regulations, I am entitled to a full refund for failure on their part to re-route me (I ended up booking a new flight on Turkish Airlines for $2,000 USD because my original carriers were completely unhelpful in getting me on a new flight).

We booked a hotel that was described as a 2 bedroom suite. We were given 1 bedroom. Upon talking with the front desk, we were informed that a 2 bedroom is equivalent to 2 beds in 1 room. If this was clear, we would have not spent over $150 for 1 room. We are asking for a partial refund as we were too tired to negotiate last night and did use the 1 room. We have talked to CheapTickets 3 times already and they have not been able to speak to the hotel manager. CheapTickets says that they need the manager to authorize a partial refund that we are asking for. We feel CheapTickets should take responsibility for what is on their website; false advertising, take a loss, give us a partial refund and talk to the manager on their own time.

I also found that there were numerous complaints about the rooms smelling musty and also that there was not elevator to the third floor, which is where they booked us. I called Mystic Sea to ask about these complaints. I was told that if I had a problem with bed bugs when I checked in to let them know. Really!!! I addressed the musty smell complaint because we have a great nephew who was going to be with us on this trip, who has major allergies. I was told that they open one floor at a time and the third floor was scheduled to be opened that week. No. And yes there was no elevator, surprise surprise! I ordered a round-trip ticket from NY to Seoul on Cathay and the website said the ticket was refundable if cancelled within 24 hours. CheapTickets refunded the ticket fee, but charged a "booking fee" of $14.98. When I called the representative in India said this is their policy. I called the credit card company to contest this policy and they said the credit card company can't dispute charges less than $25 as the administration is too expensive. CheapTickets obviously knows how credit card companies work and charges under the limit for disputing the "booking fee charge." I would not use this company again as I was not aware of this fee and it is not advertised. Section 8 of their "Terms and Conditions" specifically states, "We don't charge a fee for changes and cancellations." Then why did they charge me a "booking fee?"

I will try to keep this simple and not waste anyone's time explaining how much of a rip-off this company is - and how embarrassed I feel to have fallen for this sham scam website. Why, after booking a flight and canceling two hours later (because I found a cheaper flight on Expedia) was a $29.96 booking fee debited from my bank account and the $375 amount for the flight "held and pending" in my account for 3 days!!! I called CheapTickets and explained that they were in violation of their "terms and conditions" and they wanted to know why I cancelled before considering if I should get my deposit back!! I told them it was none of their business and to refund me immediately. They reluctantly agreed but said I would receive an email within 24-48 hours confirming the refund. I fear this is not the end of it. Warning - Do not do business with this company.

First change of timing was ok and I confirmed that; the second was outrageous since it moved 6 pm flight to 6 am (which is definitely also cheaper), without offering of any refund. To my e-mail that I do not agree with such change and ask to contact me urgently I received an answer from some Espinosa that I shall contact the company myself (for each minute of call they charge around 1 dollar!!!).
When I called them, a male employee who answered the phone mumbled his name so I will never know the name of this "hero"... He was extremely impatient and rude. He told me "Of course you should call us, and not we to you". He absolutely did not listen to me and when I asked to apologise, just told me that the change of flight is not their fault and broke up the line. Never, never book the tickets with this company if your nerves, time and money are important to you!!! I bought the tickets then later in the day I got an email saying my card was declined and to call the number. I called the number and the girl answered, in a very thick Indian accent, "Reservations." That's all she said. So I explained that I received the declined email and she was asking me for the flight details. Right then I got a thought to check out reviews of the company.
Found all these complaints and told the girl that I didn't want to continue with the flight and I wanted to cancel it. She said "OK well it's already cancelled." So I asked for her name and she said "Janice". I replied "It's Janice?" And she just says, "Yes." So I asked for her ID number and she said "Why do you want that?" and I said, "In case there are any problems with the cancellation, I want to know who I talked to and said it was cancelled." And she said "OK, I just sent the cancellation email to you. Check your inbox." Suddenly in my inbox it appeared. The fact that she didn't want to give me her ID number (which any reputable company would have their employees give their ID numbers) made me very wary of this place. What a shock this was to me when I checked in on Dec 31 for my return flight, to find out the flight was cancelled, and I had been booked on another flight 2 1/2 hours EARLIER via Dallas. After 5 hours on the phone speaking with agents, supervisors, dropped calls, a manager "Michelle" - it was made clear that:
1) There was nothing they could do. 2) I would have to talk to American Airlines directly to see if they could change my flights for $200/each. 3) Since there were no flights left for the evening, they wouldn't even help out with a hotel or transfers. 4) Their policy is that they only contact you to confirm flight changes if they exceed the 3 hour flight change time limit. Since ours was only 2 1/2 hours of a change, it didn't qualify. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS 2 1/2 HOURS EARLIER, not later - which of course would have been a non-issue. That is unacceptable. When I booked my flight with CT and "picked" my seats through their booking process... I chose either an aisle or window seat. On both flights I was inconveniently placed in center seats. What the hell is the seat selection process for when I'm booking my flight? Why don't they just tell us... "you're wasting your time, in actuality we'll seat you wherever we choose to". It's RIDICULOUS! Why aren't we warned that in fact we have to now go through the hassle of contacting the actual airline and booking our seats through them. It's not like CheapTickets is even giving us a discount on the flight! What kind of company flat out lies to their customers straight off the bat?

Although they advertise this as cheap tickets that are non-refundable after the booking they offer travel protection insurance which allows you to cancel the flight. CheapTickets put a hold on my account not once, but twice of $690.71 - totaling a whopping $1381.42 of my money being wrongfully and inexplicably placed on hold for a trip that was only supposed to cost about $1075. At first I tried making my reservation online, like I would normally do, but I got an error about a problem with my card/form of payment. I tried again online, because I knew there was no problem with my card and I had enough money in the account to pay for this package.
Finally, I gave up the online approach and then tried to book my package via the toll free number and at the end of that call the same thing happened and I was told by the customer service rep there was a problem with my card. The rep told me to call my bank and I did. The bank informed me that there were two (2) purchases on hold from CheapTickets and that because there's a daily spending limit on debit cards, these two charges (holds) had made me reach my limit! So I called CheapTickets back and demanded that they release the holds! I was told it would take 3 business days to release my funds. During this time I was transferred, then left on hold and eventually hung up on.
I was in a jam because I needed the flight and hotel for the next day and waiting for 3 business days for the holds to drop was not an option! But even if I did have that kind of time, holding $1381.42 of someone's money for 3 business days is unjustified because no goods or services had been purchased or delivered from either of the failed transactions. The whole travel package was only about $1075 but the holds were not in that amount, and together the holds were more expensive than the trip. I don't know why CheapTickets chose that amount to hold and it would be pointless to try and get an explanation from this incompetent company.
Obviously, I did not trust them with any more of my money, but I still need a flight and hotel so I ending up calling Expedia and buying my package from them. However, with the CheapTickets' funds still showing up as on hold in my account, I had to call the bank back and request a temporary increase of my daily spending limit on my debit card. I then had to go into my savings account to move some money to my checking account to pay for the package I booked with Expedia. The next day I checked my account and thankfully the holds were dropped and I was not made to wait 3 business days which would have been well into the next week and by then I would be back from the trip.
The 3 day wait is a b.s. and there was no need to put me through all of this anxiety over when I'd have my money back! This experience was absurd at every level from the online transaction being rejected, to the back and forth calls, to them hijacking my money on hold and being told there was nothing they could do about it for 3 business days! In the past I used CheapTickets all the time to book travel, but I probably won't ever again.

To summarize: After purchasing online (with premium service), the e-ticket was not confirmed until 2 days after. I wanted to change the itinerary, so I called the hotline. Waited 15 minutes before the call was received, informed them of the changes, and they informed me of the charge (totaled around $100). They said they would send an email detailing the changes and the conditions. I did not receive the e-mail. Called them again the next day. They informed me that none of the requests I made were entered into the system. Did the same routine again, and had to wait for an e-mail. Same day in the afternoon, I called again to check. This time, the phone line kept on hanging up. Received the confirmation e-mail a couple of minutes after the failed calls. I replied that I accept the conditions a couple of minutes after it arrived.
Received the email stating that the payment link was sent to me. However, there was no e-mail link. So I sent in a ticket requesting the link to be resent. 2 days after, and still no payment link. I call to check up on it and was informed that none of the changes I requested was entered into the system. I requested the change again, but not only will the charges increase, there were no longer any available seats on flights for that day (obviously a lie, as they were still available on the website). I requested a cancellation, but apparently the ticket is non-refundable. Never in my life have I went through such a ridiculously absurd ticketing agent. I have never had an issue until this experience. I was on the phone for 40 minutes booking a flight for two using two cards - one for each passenger. If the website offered split payments I could have done it myself however had to call this one in. I reserved for two and the agent charged one card for one trip. Made a mistake on the second passengers trip and used the card. Causing the refund to be delayed and resulted in cancellation because the itinerary was incorrect. She had us flying home the same day at different times. Also after making the correction to the second passengers itinerary ended up changing my itinerary to the incorrect time as well.
So after all was said and done only one trip was booked for the wrong return time. The other person wasn't booked at all because she charged the card twice and also overcharged for extra room seats on one trip not both. It was by far the worst experience because all the while I was trying to communicate with the agent she was so scripted and lacked compassion by "yessing" me to death instead of fixing the issue. I asked for a refund and she told me she could only give me points towards the next time I book. I never got the points and called today to cancel the whole trip altogether. It was a disgrace for an example of customer service and I was able to book directly with the airline for $80 less per person. Now I'm patiently waiting my refund and hope all goes well. Fingers crossed. I DO NOT recommend using this company anymore because something has changed causing the service to be the worst airline booking company out there.

I made sure that the entire time I was very pleasant and respectful, I get it workers are paid minimally and have no power, but even after I had none of my questions answered, spoke to 5 people and was on the phone for 3 hours all I asked, as a courtesy that my $20 fee be returned and they said no. They even had the audacity to tell me to book again and then they "would see what they could do to refund the fee" yes! "see what they can do"!!!
It's fine I will pay $20 to never use them again, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BE TEMPTED, YOU MAY END UP PAYING MORE THAN YOU THOUGHT! Now I cannot cancel the first leg of my trip but I also do not have a return flight, and when I saw the returns are the same as the round trip. All in all I am either going to lose $400.00 from my first leg of my trip or have to pay $400 for a return flight. So my options are 1: I take the $400.00 loss and stay home or I option 2: I spend another $400 and go making my flight $800 vs the original $400 I had budgeted!!!

So the only reason I'm giving CT TWO stars instead of one is because I have used them for years and have NEVER had a problem until just a few days ago. When I came on here and saw the reviews, I was literally shocked. I spent hours reading them. I'm so sorry for everyone who has lost thousands of dollars, been stranded at airports and has fought for hours on the phone with people who barely speak/understand English, provide 10 different stories and literally have no idea what they're talking about. Like I said, I've used CT for years to book flights, hotels, and car rentals, and I've NEVER had a problem. I always got exactly what I paid for and never had any confusion or mix-ups. I've recommended them to people and they were always the first site I would go on to shop around when making reservations.
So I have a trip planned to Seattle in late August for a few days. I went on CT, looked around and booked my flights. It went through, and that was it. I didn't expect anything. I received an e-mail saying that the reservation had not been confirmed by the airline (I'm not sure whether it was United or AA, because it was United on the way there, and AA on the way back). I had no idea what that meant, and I called the number listed in the e-mail.
I waited for less than five minutes, and a woman with a heavy Indian accent came on. I told her what the e-mail said and she said that the airline is not accepting my debit card. I asked, why? She couldn't provide much information other than that. She told me I possibly entered the wrong information. One, I did not. Two, if that were the case, the transaction wouldn't have went through at all, and it did. If the card number/expiration date/CVV code is incorrect, it will not process because again, THE INFORMATION DOESN'T MATCH. I know this card information off of the top of my head, it being my debit card. I'm also an employee of the institution that holds the card, so I have an inside perspective as well that most don't have unless they work at the institution that they're using. I was driving during this conversation. I said I would call CT back when I got home and wasn't so distracted.
When I called back, another man with a very heavy accent answered and he was very rude and beating around the bush. He told me, "You're entering the information incorrectly." I responded, "You're incorrect." He placed me on hold for a while and was telling me he was "trying to find my reservation." We were going back and forth for maybe 10 minutes and I was getting extremely frustrated. He was beating around the bush and was answering questions that I was not asking. I would ask him something, and he'd answer as if I said something completely different.
I said, "Sir, LISTEN to me, please." He said the best thing to do would be to cancel the reservation and just start fresh. I told him I have a $900.00 pending charge on my bank account. I asked when that would be removed. He told me, "You can call your bank and ask them to have it dropped off." I said NO, you cannot. And again, I told him I work at the bank that holds the card, and that's not possible. We don't have the power to just made pending charges from merchants disappear with a few clicks of a mouse.
I asked to speak to a supervisor because I was getting nowhere with him. She comes on, and it's more ring-around-the-rosey. I told her I made this reservation just a few hours before this conversation, so the entire charge BETTER be reversed as if nothing had happened. I know for a fact that they have a free cancellation policy within 24 hours. She was beating around the bush with what I was asking, but she told me that the charge would "fall off" within three business days. I asked her if she was 100% SURE that it would be refunded to me, and it took her a while to basically just say yes it would.
This may not sound that bad but it really was a headache, because they were really just playing games and beating around the bush too much. I told them I'm going to make the reservation elsewhere. I told them I was a long-time CT customer but will no longer be using their services. I'm anxiously waiting for that pending charge to fall off. It being the weekend, I know it won't until sometime next week, if it does. If it doesn't, I thankfully have the ability to dispute it at my employer/where I do my banking. We will see! After reading the horror on here, I will literally never be visiting the site ever again. I ended up booking my flight right through United. It's really not worth it. Now all of the third-party sites seem suspicious to me... Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, Hot Wire, Price Line... I hope these issues don't occur on any of those sites even though I'm sure they have. Good luck everyone!

Rather than making the change, he advised me to cancel my ticket (promising me that it would be the same price) only to find out that my ticket price increased by $85.00. After spending one hour on the phone explaining the situation, I spoke with a manager who basically told me there was nothing they could do about it. This company is very unprofessional and I will never be using the website again.

My flight was cancelled and CheapTickets.ch only let me know about it 2 days before departure. Additionally they didn’t offer any compensatory flight. They were only willing to reimburse the initial flight price (which I booked half a year in advance to avoid high prices) and not the new flight price, which I had to book 2 days before I left for my trip and obviously was a lot more expensive. Furthermore, apparently due to the exchange rate the initial flight price wasn’t even reimbursed in full but with a CHF 50 (USD 40) reduction, so I actually had to pay for the cancellation.

I purchased a flight on CheapTickets in Feb 2016. After I paid the ticket price, CheapTickets tried to jack up the price of my plane tickets and refused to issue my plane tickets unless I confirmed the new reservation. I thought it was a scam so I looked at my bank account and saw that they double charged my credit card for the airline tickets. So I called customer service and was put on hold for over an hour to get my money back. Then on May 17th I could not fly since I was rushed to the hospital for a medical emergency. I had documentation to support this. I attempted to contact CheapTickets via email and they told me that I would have to call over the phone because they don't process refund transactions in writing. I felt this was due to the fact that they did not want the customer to have proof of their shady business practices in writing. So I had no choice but to call the customer service line to ask for a refund.
I was placed on hold for over 2 hours and given the runaround. I attempted to contact the CEO and not only received a response but was retaliated against for making a formal complaint to the federal trade commission. I attempted to contact the Better Business Bureau but the business never responded and my complaint was never published. I also only received a partial refund of $14.68 instead of the full price of $478 per ticket. I felt they purposefully gave me the significant lower amount in retaliation for contacting investigative agencies to report their shady business practices. Please stay away from CheapTickets. They are thieves.

Their booking fee of $21.99 (which you're not aware that you're paying until the transaction is complete) is not refunded even if you cancel within 24 hours. I booked a reservation for four people on April 14th, 2016. Within a few hours of booking, I called CheapTickets to inform them that ONE letter in one of the names was incorrect. I was told that they couldn't make any changes until after the 24 hour period passed, but that they could easily make that change after 24 hours of booking. I called back after 24 hours and a CheapTickets Agent told me that they could not make the change. Only United Airline could make the change. I called United and United said that that's not true. CheapTickets was the travel agent and were the only ones who could make the change. After 2 hours of being on hold with CheapTickets, CheapTickets was able to get the United Airline part of the reservation made the correct. I was then told that they - CheapTickets - could not make the change on the second part of the reservation. That only New Zealand Airline could make the change.
I was also told by CheapAirline that New Zealand Airline said they could only cancel the ticket and I would have to purchase the new ticket which is $1000 more than the original ticket and that I would be responsible for the difference. I called New Zealand Airline and was told CheapAirline has lied and that is absolutely untrue. Since we are requesting on ONE letter of a name be correct, no cancellations or repurchasing would be necessary. New Zealand Airline also states that only CheapTickets can make the change and there is NO charge from the New Zealand Airline to do this.
I called CheapTickets again, and asked to speak to a Manager. I was left on hold for 2 hour with no transfer. It's obvious that CheapTickets is giving me the runaround and trying to get me to spend more money on a reservation. However all of the airlines involved assure me that CheapTickets can and must make this change. How are they able to get away with these things? The level of fraud and deception is unbelievable.

When I asked why I had to pay an additional $200 I was told that it was American Airlines that is charging the fee. When I contact American Airlines to try and work directly with them, I was told that it was "CheapTickets" who was charging me the fee. Which is it? YOUR COMPANY or AA?
I have never been so disappointed with a booking agency than yours. When I contact the insurance company (at the suggestion of your team) I got nowhere. I wish I would have read the reviews earlier. Well cool too so I call just to make sure before I go ahead onto airlines direct page to book it which I did but then a few days later I still get charged. So now I have two tickets. Now to the point I called customer care at least about 9-10 times spend days and hours to get someone on the line that barely spoke English, had to explain myself over and over again just to have the phone hung up on my face after waiting on hold for several mins.
After speaking to finally 2 supervisor the 3rd one try to explain the issue and only because my lawyer was in the room with me and I had her on recorded line. But just to tell me because the airline charged me after they couldn't confirmed they have nothing to do with it which makes no sense because ya'll gave them my information to charge and ya'll had to update it on both systems that it's canceled. Of course, I have to hear because I didn't agree to the cancel policy they can not refund me or anything - because they're low carrier they can't cancel. Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. Right after booking a flight to Dallas, I received and email confirmation. Oddly, the email was addressed to "Rolasaleh". I say this is odd because this is not my name. I checked the details under "my account" to find someone else's information! An address in Jordan (I live in the US) and a cancelled trip to Dubai. Suddenly something clicked. About two years ago, I received a call from the fraud department of my bank asking if I had booked a trip to Dubai. No, I hadn't, I told them. Someone must have stolen my credit card information. Chase agreed and stopped the charge and I had to change my credit card number. That was fun.
I realize now that Ms. Rolasaleh was the culprit. And there she was in my Cheap Tickets account just waiting for me to enter a new credit card number so that she could book her next flight on my dime. And that was just what I had done! Panicked, I called the cheap tickets customer service line. This was a mistake. First, I spoke to a woman that I could not understand. She apparently couldn't understand me either because after I explained the situation, she continued to address me by the name of the person who had stolen my credit card information two years ago.
I begged to be transferred to a supervisor and finally I was. The supervisor was wonderful and promised to help! Then he put me on hold and we were disconnected. I called back, had to once again beg to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for about 40 minutes. Eventually I hung up and called my bank instead. They cared about my plight and I once again had to change my credit card number.
I understand that this is an odd situation. Believe me, everyone I explain the story to (usually while I am warning them against using your services) is shocked and appalled as well. However, I am so disappointed in the level of customer service that I received. This was a security issue and should have been taken very seriously and it wasn't. I have posted on Facebook and sent email to the customer service address and have received no contact. For this reason I will never, ever be using your services again.

I was charge $165.00 for Saturday night on a room that for health and sanitation reasons should have never been offered to a customer in the first place. To make it worse, the room was advertised at $74.00. I NEVER SHOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED A DIME CONSIDERING LIVE ROACHES, DEAD ROACHES ON THE UNCLEANED WALL, NO AIR CONDITIONING AND NO WINDOW SCREENS. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. Unfortunately, this is my experience that I dealt with while on vacation in sunny Florida during March 2016. Here is a response to Cheap Tickets customer survey. They responded with a prefabricated auto response apology and said that the hope they can serve me better in the future.
This is my response to Cheap Tickets/Orbitz survey: I am appalled that you would associate yourself with the Inverrary Golf Resort in Fort Lauderdale. The employees of the resort were nice however the accommodations were the worst that I have ever seen, leaving good people to respond to poor quality made me sympathetic to them and not the facility owners or Cheaptickets. Cheaptickets/Orbitz employees indicated that your company was partners with Inverrary Golf Resort in Ft. Lauderdale which clearly reflects on you. The terribly extensive time that I was put on hold and hung up on when speaking with your employees at Cheaptickets/Orbitz, was a clear indication by your members that my issues and concerns meant very little. I left my call back number with everyone that I spoke with at your company 8 times and the only one person called me back.
When, he called back, he immediately hung up on me when I said "I am Ray ** and you just put me on hold". He hung up on me so I called again. No I will not use your company again. No I will not use the Inverrary Resort and Hotel again. Both of you worked together to make money at the expense of me, your customer. Both of you have improved your bottom line at the expense of customer. I killed roaches in the front lobby, on the 2nd floor hallway, and in room 212. In room 103, the odor in the room was a terribly strong cleaning product and it needed to be strong. Someone mopped over the dirt in the 2 centimeter gaps between the imitation wood flooring. The floor was not level. There was still dirt in the gaps and the room was humid with no air conditioning.
In room 212, the doorway entrance light didn't work and the floor was very slippery. There were dead roaches and live roaches (until I killed them). There was no screen and there was no air conditioning. The night manager brought me a fan and apologized. He used a thick gel substance/insecticide, around the foot of the door way entrance and the balcony entrance. (Housekeeping came in and mopped which only made the floor wet and slippery.) The fat back TV worked so I will give you one thumb up. The manager said that I was booked in the hotel and that he could not move me to another room because the hotel was fully booked. (He said that since I was registered he could not return my deposit.) Considering a hot room, no air conditioning, roaches and a slippery floor, I picked up my belongings and spent the night in my truck in a Walmart parking lot trying to contact Cheaptickets/Orbitz.
Everytime, I tried calling Cheaptickets/Orbitz to address my issues, (the department that I needed was closed part of the time). When I did make contact, I was put on hold and eventually hung up on without receiving a return call to address my issues. In turn, the issues were not appropriately addressed until late Sunday night (that is a story in itself) with a supervisor to make a determination. Finally on Sunday, February 6, 2016, after repeated failed attempts to speak with your staff, I spoke with an Cheapticket/Orbitz employee and a manager, Rick. At 11:00, he said call back after 4pm so that an afternoon supervisor from the Inverrary could approve the cancellation.
I called back at 5pm and I was initially told to call back Monday February 7, 2016, because there was no afternoon Supervisor, so I asked to speak with an Afternoon Cheapticket/Orbitz supervisor. I was put on hold and moments later the same Cheapticket/Orbitz employee told me to contact the hotel and request to speak to the hotel supervisor on afternoons. I was so confused because one minute your employee said there was no hotel supervisor and then told me to call the hotel supervisor. I was put on hold again and about and our later, a Cheapticket/Orbitz supervisor picked up my call. I was on hold the entire time and she said that the hotel will charge $165 for Saturday, February 6, 2015, and basically take it or be charged for the full amount. Kind of like extortion. You keep $165 or I get nothing (for a room that I uncomfortably stayed in for about 45 minutes).
I was charge $165.00 for Saturday night on a room that for health and sanitation reasons should have never been offered to a customer in the first place. To make it worse, the room was advertised at $74.00. I’m not happy with Cheaptickets, Orbitz or the Inverrary Resort and Hotel. I know that a good deal does not mean getting substandard accommodations because I moved into an Extended Stay Hotel for less. I will recommend not recommend Cheaptickets, Orbitz or the Inverrary Resort and Hotel to my friends. I rented a F1500 pick up truck from Avis-NO PROBLEMS, EXCELENTE. They issued a letter and email stating it was okay to add the letter in, that there was no need to cancel.
Cheap tickets refused to honor this, even though China Southern was my flight. So after it all and my complaining they gave me a $250 flight voucher, stating to email my future booking to travelvoucher@cheaptickets.com, and they would refund the credit card I booked on. Well I did this, and they are now refusing to give me my money back. They said sorry, but we have to follow the airlines wishes. So to appease me the original flight, they sent me a letter clearly full of lies. They are scammers and they steal your money, then give a bs excuse as to why. I'm surprised they haven't been sued yet, as the way they operate is illegal. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. AGAIN LIARS, CHEATERS AND SCAMMERS IS ALL THIS COMPANY IS. I fly quite regularly and have never had issues such as this. Needless to say I will never fly with them again, and have sought legal counsel.

After I get to the airport Qatar Airways couldn't find my reservation and I was trying to talk to CheapTickets rep for an hour and finally before one and half before flight take off I was told to ask the Qatar rep try to rebook the ticket and pay the price $385. Even though we made a transaction, ticket didn't go through and they have rebook the flight for next day for $115. All mess happened because of GLITCH in the CheapTicket system which messed up my day.

I attempted to cancel a car rental reservation using the confirmation number that Cheaptickets e-mailed to me. I was unable to do so online, so called the number provided, not an 800 number, and tried working with an agent whom I could not understand. She kept telling me she could not find the confirmation number when I was reading it from the e-mail. I gave her location, dates, confirmation number from Cheaptickets, name of driver of the car. She kept telling me she couldn't find it.
I finally asked her to speak slowly one word at a time. She was still difficult to understand, kept saying she couldn't find the booking but then gave me the name of the airport where it was to be picked up but she still could not cancel reservation. I asked for a supervisor. I held for the supervisor for 36 minutes 45 seconds and the agent came back on, said she was unable to get a supervisor. I again instructed her to cancel the booking and she hung up on me. I then spoke to someone else who found the reservation but said he was unable to get the system to cancel it (and also gave me a completely different confirmation number). He said they would "work on it" and call me back.

I obtained a flight for February 11th, 2016, from SJU to ICN. I received the confirmation e-mail once the flight was purchased, and it said Departure date: Thursday February 11, 2016. When I arrived to the airport to take my flight, they couldn't find my name in the counter so I gave them my confirmation e-mail in case they needed any information from there. They still couldn't find it, therefore they called Cheaptickets. When the woman in the airport called Cheaptickets she found out that the reason my name was not in the flight was because Cheaptickets had booked my flight for February 10, 2016, but they had send me the confirmation for February 11th. The airport associate tried to argue my case since she could clearly see the confirmation e-mail that was in my phone, but she concluded that she couldn't do anything and that I needed to call myself and argue.
That is what I have been doing for 30 hours straight now. I've barely had time to eat or sleep because I've been on the phone almost the whole time, they continue to put me on hold for hours on end and then they just tell me that they have to investigate. In the beginning a manager told me he could see the e-mail in the system, but after that apparently that e-mail disappeared because everyone I talk to says they see no such e-mail and that I did not talk to any person that said that, even though I keep telling them to search their call recordings.
They even told me to e-mail a copy of my confirmation e-mail, but I've emailed it about 12 times and they continue to tell me that they have not received anything and therefore have no proof and can't do anything so the only option is for me to just pay again. I've called many times and talked to many people. At times they say they will call me back and never do, so I end up having to call back, and another time a supervisor from the Philippines even told me that the supervisors had other things to do than to talk to me.
I have tried to get someone to connect me to the U.S main branch to see if there is anyone that can help me there, but every time I call the calls just connect to other countries and they always tell me it's not possible to speak to anyone in the U.S. It's a really frustrating situation and I can't believe that a big company would act so unprofessionally, and have such a bad customer service. I would not recommend it to anyone, I would actually dissuade anyone whom could read or listen from having to deal with this company and all the troubles it might bring you. I use to hear the stories of scams like these but I never thought I would be the victim of one of them and it's extremely frustrating and humiliating.

I request to cancel the reservation for the 29th. They told me they can't. I have to do it through CheapTickets. I call them and I mention "I made my reservation 2 hrs ago but by error I did for the 29th and need please to cancel." They refuse because I did online reservation. I am a veteran of the Vietnam era and my son is also a veteran with 100% disability due to chemicals to which he was exposed while serving in the Army. I purchased a round-trip ticket for my son and granddaughter to visit. On the day they were to travel, my son experienced a medical emergency and was taken to the VA hospital ER in Seattle. The trip back home to see dad and mom had to be cancelled. Not to worry, however, as the representative for CheapTickets assured me that the tickets were still good for up to one year and could be used during that time frame.
Fast forward. After my son's recovery, we attempted to reschedule the flight. Speaking with CheapTickets representative somewhere in India or some other country outside the US, I was told we would have to pay a fee of $400.00 to reschedule. This "fee" was two thirds what the tickets originally costs in the first place ($669.38). Not only that, another $200.00 was added for "origination" - whatever that means. In other words, "forget it ole boy and pay for new tickets." It was soon discovered that CheapTickets are not customer-friendly nor customer-oriented when it comes to addressing customer complaints or redressing the customers concerns.
We are exploring the possibility of filing a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. It appears that there are hundreds of others which were taking advantage of that may be willing to join us...please read the comments of others. I am surprised CheapTickets even get a one-star rating out of five. By the way, CEO Steven Barnhart (owner and president of Orbitz Worldwide and operates CheapTickets) obviously does NOTHING to improve or address the hundreds of email complaints his organization receives!!! So a class action lawsuit may get his attention.

I attempted to use the credit to schedule a flight for May and was informed that in order to use the $88 credit, I would have to pay a $200 booking fee. The CSRs continually interrupt you when you are speaking, have no listening nor customer service skills, and put you on hold for long periods of time (10-15 minutes).
When I called American Airlines to rebook my flight for April, with what I thought was a credit from my previous flight of $570, the AA agent said the original flight was $264 and the payment had been processed with a check (not a credit card)!!! The agent also said a refund should have been issued to me, with that difference in price. So, CheapTickets gives you some misleading price and then pays a different amount, obviously!!! We purchased airline tickets through Cheap Tickets in February 2, 2015 for 8 people departing from Atlanta, GA on December 19th, 2015 to Barbados and returning on December 24th, 2015. The tickets were very expensive. We purchased these tickets after booking Sandals, an all-inclusive luxury resort, for those same dates. We coordinated a large group code with Sandals to celebrate A family member's 40th birthday whom the trip was for. On December 23rd around 2:00 PM, a group member wanted to check in for our return flight on the 24th. At that moment, he learned that our flight had changed to depart an entire day earlier leaving at 4:15 PM on the 23rd!!! This was one full day earlier than we expected!! Eight people scrambled out of the pool to their rooms to throw their things into the suitcases, quickly check out of the hotel, arrange for transportation and get to the airport in time for the flight.
We had planned a special birthday celebration that night which we were not able to do. We lost $640 in the hotel fare for the last night per couple plus the cost for transportation to the airport. We also lost the pre-payment we made to the hotel for our transportation to the airport on the 24th. We've attempted to voice our complaints several times to Cheap Tickets to try and get reimbursed for the money that we lost but they refused. We spoke to several managers and supervisors (Barbara, Max, Eliza, etc.) and they have given us the runaround and have not provided a resolution that is mutually agreeable. We are very disappointed with Cheap Tickets.

For this review, I removed the ticket price and waiver code but I should note that the ticket was expensive. I will also add that I received this refund email confirmation after several phone calls including a three way phone call with the airlines. I was told by phone the same information - that a refund is issued and that I will receive it within 45 days. This was final. I thought it was done.
Days later, I was notified that I am not getting a refund after all! I have no words to describe the phone conversations where Cheaptickets.com agents ignored their own email. Even after I forwarded their own email back to them, they just kept denying it. One woman said she doesn't have access to it, another that she can't see it. I have never had a company change their mind after a resolution they provided in writing. It was surreal. I had to call the airlines directly and spend a ridiculous amount of time with them until they promised to take care of this as a one time courtesy even though this was a Cheaptickets dispute not a direct dispute with the airlines. I am now waiting to see if I actually get a refund and hope to put this behind me. It took a lot of time to resolve this. I will update this review as soon as I get the money back. To be brief this company will cheat you anyway they can. We authorized $1500.00 to come off our CC and they charged us $2900.00. They did not forward a receipt so we did not notice until we checked our CC balance on line. We called and called, were on hold endlessly hour after hour and the only way we could get the charge reversed was to cancel the flight. Which they would charge us a cancellation fee.
We have reported them to our CC and to their fraud department. You cannot trust this company in any way. They have exceptionally low ratings on various review sites. In fact hundreds of low ratings and warning from consumers all over the world. Believe them, I wish I had. We did cancel the flight. What choice did we have? We are now entering a battle that will take months to resolve. As for our vacation? Absolutely ruined.
The stress of dealing with such a dishonest company has taught me one thing, to use a licensed travel agent. Be also warned that if you call multiple times you will get different answers and stories about their policies, refunds etc. None of it can be trusted, which is definitely the case in our situation. You will be giving your credit card number to a call center in Manila. They will have complete control over you no matter what you say or do. Good luck.

I would never recommend this site to anyone. I have spent the last three hours online trying to book flights for my family and I on www.cheaptickets.com. Every time I selected the flights for my family and I, entered our information (which is not a quick task), selected our seating arrangements since we have small children and entered my payment information, I received an error message that stated my request could not be processed at this time. The error does not let you know whether you entered your payment information incorrectly and your payment could not be processed, if the site was experiencing issues or if the flight(s) you selected are no longer available, etc. I finally gave up and called customer service after trying numerous times to book our flights.
I explained to the customer service representative that my mother-in-law just passed away yesterday and I that it was very important that I be able to get my reservation processed because we are traveling to Boston for the funeral. I also told the rep that I had tried over and over to book our flight to Boston; however, I kept receiving the same error. The representative explained to me that my issue was probably due to their site continuously updating and the flights were no longer available.
I told her that I had refreshed my screen many times and then received the same search results with the same flight times and rate again. I further explained to her that right before the call I refreshed my screen again and received the same flight results with the exact same departure and arrival times, but at a higher rate; almost $100 more a ticket. The rep continued to tell me again that the site constantly updates and that is why my flights were no longer available. I tried to explain to her that I was still receiving the same search results again, but just at a higher rate.
I finally just asked the representative if she would search for flights with the criteria I entered and see what she was able to find. After searching for a few minutes, she told me that the flight times I needed and had been trying to book for three hours were no longer available. I told her that their site was very unreliable if it allows you to select flights, go thru the whole booking process only to find out that the flights are no longer available. Their site is a huge waste of time to say the least!
The representative kept trying to explain to me how their site updates all the time, but I just finally told her that we were not getting anywhere and that I still had to find affordable tickets for my family. I also told her that I would have never attempted to use their website had I known that their information and availability was so unreliable. It is always very frustrating to experience an issue like this, but when you have suffered a loss in your family something like this is the last thing you want to have to deal with on top of everything else.

Jet Blue was offering no further flights that day, but offered to "work with" each of the 300 passengers - one by one - to get them on a flight the next day. After scrambling around the airport, we found a flight to Rhode Island (at least close enough) that night. We contacted Cheap Tickets because their "partner" had failed us, and we just wanted a credit for the value of the trip home (about $380 for two). They said they couldn't credit us $380 but Jet Blue would reimburse the "value" of the cancelled flight. Jet Blue offered a total of $120.18 for two passengers to get from Ft.
