    STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!! I've had months of unsuccessful attempts to resolve an ongoing issue through the appropriate customer service channels so I have been left with no alternative but to escalate this matter via this channel (which is absurd). In May 2025, my father booked a trip through CheapOair, with travel dates from May 1 to May 5. Unfortunately, his outbound flight—United Airlines Flight UA1357 from Newark to Fort Lauderdale—was cancelled due to air traffic control restrictions at Newark Airport. As a result, he was unable to travel or check into the resort as originally planned.

    Upon learning of the flight cancellation, we contacted CheapOair to request the cancellation of the hotel reservation. However, we later discovered that the cancellation was not processed, and the hotel marked the reservation as a "no-show." After explaining the circumstances directly to the hotel, they acknowledged the situation and confirmed that a refund had been issued. However, because the booking was made through a third-party service, the refund was returned to CheapOair—not to us.

    Despite our repeated efforts over the past several months to have the funds returned, we have been met with delays, miscommunication, and, at times, complete inaction. This has caused significant distress, particularly given that the amount in question—approximately $1,300—is not insignificant for my father, who is a retired individual living on a fixed income.

    Below is who I have been in contact with in an effort to resolve this matter. Regrettably, these efforts have not produced a resolution. If you want to get robbed, go through Cheapoair.

    I was sent an email, saying "time to select seats". The button just led to a dead page saying, no seats available, but it was obviously not actually connecting with any system. I called CheapOair, the tech said he'd try to see if it could work, and that I should please stay on the line. One hour later, nothing. It seems he can't but will just let me sit on phone waiting forever, instead of admitting it. It's a long flight, I expect to be smashed in the middle the whole time, thanks to cheapOair incompetence. Never again.

    Frederic was extremely helpful in arranging the tickets for 6 passengers and one infant on lap. He was very professional and explained everything very well.     The process is too broken up. Part one I swear said first checked bag free. Went through 2nd part no problem. Part three pay. After that I finally get to pick my seats. Due to previously sold seats, I pay more to sit next to my wife. I had no option before this to pick my seat or see what was open. Then finally I was given the option to pay for the first checked bag which I thought was included in the price. They need to have everything paid for BEFORE giving more payable options

    I used your site to find my flight and rental car for my trip to Boston. The only thing that was missed was I got a pop up window when I entered the sight that said I would get a 2% discount when paying. Never got the discount. Now I need to add a bunch of words in order to get this to click through. I should be able to put in as few words as I deem necessary to enter my review. You shouldn't make this as difficult as it is if you want to get accurate reviews. I have lowered my rating because of this.

    I had a terrible experience with this travel agency. I accidentally booked a flight from Toronto to Las Vegas instead of Miami and had also purchased travel insurance. To my shock and disappointment, I was told the ticket was non-changeable and non-refundable, despite the insurance. This is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of transparency and basic customer care. The service was unhelpful, and there was zero flexibility or effort to resolve the issue. I would never book through CheapOair again and strongly urge others to be cautious. This was a frustrating and costly mistake, made worse by how poorly it was handled.

    The ticket that was purchased was a basic economy ticket which is the lowest and most restrictive fare. Those rules are displayed for review prior to submitting for purchase, we also offer the option to upgrade that fare to a higher class of service which allows changes but no refunds, but it cost more. The BE ticket was selected. Insurance terms that we sell does not cover a change of plans, or an error made, it is for medical emergencies, lost and damaged bags, and delayed flights, the coverage PDF file is provided and the customer has 10 days from the purchase date for a refund of the insurance if it does not meet their needs. An error was made and not the error of Cheapoair and we are sorry that the reservation could not be changed to accommodate the error.

    I was flying from Huntington, WV to Albany, NY. I got to airport, they couldn’t get their computer working, finally they did after 1:40 minutes later. Then they told me I couldn’t get on flight, it had already boarded. They called another airport 3 hours away to get different flight. I drove there, they didn’t want to allow me that flight that I missed boarding by 5 minutes. By time I argued with them. They allowed me to board. I get to Philly, PA, delayed 6 hours before getting to Albany, NY at 12:30 AM. I noticed on my new itinerary for return flight. They had been going on 3 different flights home, over 10 hours. I called to have them correct it that I never agreed to that. The girl wouldn’t do nothing to help!! She said because I already flown, she couldn’t change it. I finally called American Airlines myself. I told them the terrible flight I had coming, they fixed flights immediately with zero charge. Something CheapOAir said cannot be done.

    I asked the agent a few questions about the booking. He said, "You're wasting my time." I requested for a supervisor, and he responded, "No, I'm not transferring to anyone."     Cheapoair.com is a scammer, thieves, bad business, screw up customers, stolen money from customers, misleading customers when different price in a page then charges total different amount. When cancel transaction for the ridiculous price, they stole money from customers charging cancellation fees even if we cancelled right away after find out the price was charge wrong in the bank card. Stay away from Cheapoair.com, don’t do business with them or you will regret.

    A ticket change was made that was unacceptable. CheapoAir has refused to help resolve the problem. Phone calls have been repeatedly dumped. The airline says they can fix the problem but it has to be done by CheapoAir as they have the ticket locked. Continuing very poor customer service from CheapoAir.

    We originally booked two airline tickets to Dublin, departing on July 7, 2025, and returning from France on July 25, 2025. Due to unforeseen family circumstances, we needed to push our return flight back by two days. The airline charged us $591 per ticket for the change, adding up to a staggering $1,180 for both tickets. Considering our original fare was $905 per ticket, the adjustment cost more than 50% of the initial price, bringing the final total to $1,496 per ticket. To make matters worse, we were not given the option to cancel for a refund. When checking online, I found that ticket prices remained around the same as our original fare, making the excessive change fee even more frustrating. This experience has made it clear that we were taken advantage of, and we will be steering clear of CheapoAir moving forward.

    So the hotel reservation mentioned that there is no cancellation fees. CheapOair did not mention that there is a $67 service fee and a $25 cancellation fee. I should have booked my hotel separately on booking.com where there is no charge for anything if you cancel within the given time frame. CheapOair should be very specific on what charges will be incurred by the customer, rather than a vague statement to cover their asses and asses money making charges. All customers are well aware of charges for flight changes but not for Hotel changes or cancellations, especially when the hotel itself does not assess a charge. NEVER AGAIN.

    Cheapoair is good at prices but when it comes to honesty on hotels it's all business with them and they temp to put misleading information, make sure to review the hotels on your own time before booking, along with purchasing airline tickets and them sitting the passengers separated even though they were bought together, I understand they are the 2nd party and they have nothing to do with the airline, and they are just the sales to get their cut.     My wife attempted to reserve seats on our flight from NEOS which was booked months in advance. The female representative told my wife her date of birth was incorrect and the ticket need to rebooked for an additional $625. Then we were switched to another male representative who then informed us both dates were incorrect and each ticket would be required to be rebooked at $625 per person. My wife was about to provide credit card information as she did not want to not a seat on the flight. I was irate and told him to leave the initial reservation as is. Upon checking in to NEOS we did not have an issue and the date of birth matter was not even brought up. Such a scam. Will never use this company again. Totally, dishonest.

    After booking my flight, and I received my statement, I saw that I was charged an additional $25.80. This should have been disclosed at the time of booking and it was not. They just add $$ as they feel like it. I am sick of getting ripped off from companies like this. There are PLENTY of other ways to book an airline ticket...I will NEVER use this company again.

    Booked a vacation package - air and hotel with a king bed and upgraded to first class seating for flights. Was called AFTER booking done and told that a an ADA king bed room was not available and tried to convince me to change hotels! Then I am told that any other rooms will cost between $55 and $88 extra per person.

    After 30 minutes on hold the room was changed for additional cost. Never received a confirmation email after I was told it would be sent within 5 minutes of call ending so went on chat for their site. Seat selection stated "pending". I was told and had to go to the airline site directly to choose my seats (even though this was already done during booking).

    I was then told via chat that I had NOT upgraded my seats even though the itinerary clearly stated "First". So not only did they bait and switch the room I had to go onto the airline carrier and do the work to procure seats on the planes. Why is a third party booking site not doing the work they are getting paid for? (Over $300 fee for using them). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This company was presented to me when I went onto Kayak and I thought it must be decent as my pilot friends like Kayak. Cheapoair is sketchy. Consider using the airline or Costco or some reputable travel group. First and last time customer - I will never, ever use them again.

    Fraudulent company. I accidentally booked a flight. I called within two minutes of booking that flight to try and cancel and get a refund. They said they could not refund me. They could try to get a credit for me, but they couldn’t refund my credit card then I ended up taking the flight And as I went to check in they wanted to charge me for my boarding pass. This is ridiculous. They should be ashamed of themselves.

    Car rental was a horrific experience. Rental office was miles from the airport. When we finally found it the registration process was a nightmare. Fortunately before we signed anything, we realized that they were adding hundreds of dollars in unexpected fees including a Senior surcharge. That's discrimination toward seniors, most places give senior discounts!!! We ended up not renting the car and they told us they hadn't received any money from CheapOair anyway. This turned out to be not true as cheapoair later informed me that they had been paid. Also, their policy is NO refund even if you never actually rent the car. I'm done with this, big scam. The flight was good but also had added hidden charges. Very unpleasant experience all around.

    We were contacted by CheapO when we were looking for flights from Pgh to Costa Rica. We told the associate repeatedly that we only wanted to fly Spirit Airlines. By the time we were finished with the booking, our flight back was with American and the associate said he could not do anything with it. Also, suggested we get the insurance to protect ourselves, but didn't tell us that the flights back were not covered since they were basic economy seats, so we could not get our money back for those. Had to escalate to a Supervisor, who said he would contact me the next day after listening to the conversations, but had to call them 2 days later to find out, there was nothing he could do.     Fraudulant company, I tried to join them for many hours without an answer after my flight has been canceled, no phone number just a stupid chat box, also when I bought a flight back they refused to refund the price I paid for my flight back because they didn't answer, I paid 1400$ to go back home. They wanted to refund 675$ while initial ticket price was 2300$. because of this cheap fraudulent company, I paid in total 3700$ for round trip, I filed a complaint at Transport Canada every claim could take 18 months or more.     On September 6th 2024, I reserved a return flight for September 12th 2024, through CheapoAir (Cheapo reservation Booking # **, I gave Cheapo a debit card for the full amount, $527. 68. That included airfare and trip insurance. I was assured that the entire amount went through. I was told nothing about two separate charges.

    The next day, CheapoAir informed me that $38.01 had been declined. How does part of a charge get declined? I expected one billing. Cheapo divided the charge into two. The fare, for $ 489.67, was billed by Porter Airlines on September 6th 2024, and went through, but the charge of $38.01 for trip insurance, was billed by CheapoAir, and was declined. They asked me to give them permission to try and bill the $38.01 amount again. I did. They tried. It was declined again. They did not ask me to contact my bank. The process was repeated the next day. That makes three times, over three days, that I authorized the charge for trip insurance.

    On September 9th I was unexpectedly hospitalized, and underwent surgery. I called CheapoAir asking for a refund. They denied it, because I did not have trip insurance. Why was the $38.01 for insurance declined? In my many hours of discussions with representatives, a young man from CheapoAir suggested, and I quote:" Maybe your bank thought it was fraud because two charges for the same flight were coming through on the same day from different companies. Their rep admitted that their policy could be seen as fraud by a bank. Two days ago, a representative from my bank concurred that that was the reason they declined the charge. Well, it was not my idea to split the charges, it was CheapoAir's.

    CheapoAir tried 5 times to put the $38.01 charge through. They finally succeeded. Guess when! On September 16th four days after the flight! Will CheapoAir take responsibility? So far, they have passed the buck to Porter Airlines, who did the actual billing for the fare. "They are the only ones who can refund you", said CheapoAir. I had several exchanges with Porter, who also passed the buck, and said, "We know nothing about it. You have to take it up with CheapoAir. You booked it through them." My bank says "We can't refund the fare. You agreed to it." Sorry, I agreed to an insured flight for $527. 68. I did not agree to an uninsured flight for $489. 67. I also did not agree to two separate charges. I was not ASKED to agree with separate charges. It may be buried in the fine print somewhere, but it is not made obvious.

    Is this just incompetence, or does it reflect the mindset of a scam artist? The practice seems designed to cause confusion. Are they counting on that? If CheapoAir wishes to deny such accusations, they should prove it both by refunding me, and changing their misleading policies. I have wasted hours of time on it, and I will not give up. If I am forced to pursue legal action, so be it.

    I booked a flight to Spain with $2230… I booked a flight to Spain with $2230 for three people and I get an email in couple hours says flight fare rate changed to $2300 and when I chat with them first say to me $2900 and when I start asking questions come back to me and says $2600. I could not understand, and when I asked more questions the answer was, "It's your choice to cancel the reservation or update it with the new fare!" Something didn’t make sense. My recommendation get the ticket through the airline itself, that what I’m going to do, all these companies trying to scam people for extra money.

    I booked a flight through CheapOair for my teenage son in late October. While I saved approximately $400 on the fare compared with Google Flights, the post-booking experience was, without question, horrendous. Here's why. About a half hour after I made online reservations, a belligerent CheapOair representative called me during dinner to aggressively sell a trip benefit package, asking me through a thick ** accent questions such as, "Sir, why aren't you purchasing this package for your son, Sir? Sir, do you want him to get lost, Sir? Sir, if you don't want to purchase this package for $20, how about I lower the price to $8, Sir?" It was the very same package he'd have gotten through the United app. Anyway, this woman ruined the experience. So much so, in fact, I'll never book through CheapOair again. Be warned.

    I had two passengers unfortunately get sick days before the planned flight. CheapOair lied, hung up on me, and told me false information. In approx 4 calls to them spanning several hours. First they said there was nothing I was able to do because my tickets were non refundable, so I did some research online and saw that as of April 24th 2024 all airline were under the same rule to give vouchers at the very least for a spreadable sickness. The next call I was abruptly hung up on after explaining my situation. The next call they told me to contact the airline for a refund or voucher. So I did and the airline said to contact them as they couldn’t help because I bought the tickets through CheapOair. So instead of fighting the vicious cycle I was left no choice but to file a complaint with the US DOT which everyone here should do if they have a major problem as it’s is more affective.

    This was my first time planning a trip from Philadelphia to Puerto Rico San Juan and I couldn’t even take my trip due to the hurricane so I called to cancel my reservation and got the runarounds. They have poor communication. They was real ignorant. Two different people hung up on me and I was on the phone for at least 4 hours. Talk to at least 10 different people. Was on hold for more than a half hour just for them to tell me they can’t refund my money back. It was the worst experience of my life. So now they telling me I’m not getting no money back for my flight and for the hotel. They made me pay 4 different times. 1. For the reservation. 2. For my seats. 3. For protection plan. Then I had to move my flight and they charged me again just to move my flight so I spent well over 1600$ for what and not getting a damn dollar back. It makes no sense whatsoever.

    I would never use CheapOair ever again. First time for everything. Lesson learn. I was suppose to leave Saturday the 17th now I’m not going nowhere because of this poor lying scheming ass company. They quick to take your money but don’t wanna give you nothing back and it’s wrong. I need my refund. I know I’m not gonna get my full payment back but I’m suppose to at least get something back. First and last time will I ever use this 3rd party crap. I’m so frustrated and upset to this point and I don't know what to do.

    Highly disappointed in the change/cancellation “you basically are screwed” policy. To further to protect myself, as I am sickly, I paid an extra $200 for travel protection insurance.     Their policy does not disclose how many check-in luggage you have per ticket to destination. If you have round trip, free check-in luggage may be included on the way to your destination, but on the way back, they WILL NOT disclose that it may not follow the same policy. You will be forced to buy check-in luggage if you want to return home with your belongings. On the ticket receipt they squeeze by with saying each airline may have its additional fares but do not disclose what is and what is not included with your ticket and airline.     We traveled JFK to London for a cruise. Flight outbound no problem. Two days before our return flight while on the ship we got an email that our return flight was canceled. Called Cheapo who informed us that every flight on our return date was full and they could not book anything until the next day or even 2 days later. When I told them that it was impossible there was no flights they argued and argued and argued. We hung up and called our carrier Virgin Atlantic who informed us that our flight was never canceled but only the departure time was changed. They also informed us that not only was the flight available there were plenty of seats on that flight and 7 other flights that day.

    With that info we called Cheapo back and they continued to lie to us and said there was no flights available. I actually have a flight lined up on my phone on the original flight as they were telling me no. I then asked to do a 3 way call with Virgin who continued to support cheapo position that there were no seats available. When I asked the Gent with a very poor English accent he would neither give his last name or employee number saying that it was none of our business who he was. Talk about dishonest business. Actually having someone impersonate another company's employee is a step too far.

    They ended up getting us on a flight with a stop over for 3 hours in Paris and bringing us home much later then planned. The reason they were resistant is the price they had to pay for the seats that were available. However if they didn't sell our original seats to begin with they would not have the problem to deal with. I'm not sure what to do or who to call but I don't want them to get away with this. We certainly wouldn't let them ruin our vacation but it was very stressful and very very very bad business.

    My wife, son, and I are traveling from US to Brazil, but returning on different days. We found the flights that we liked on the Cheap-o-air website but to ensure that all 3 of us were booked on the same flight leaving the US we called and spoke to an agent. When looking at the fares online there was an option to upgrade the flight from a light to a plus fare (this provides 1 checked bag and advanced seat selection) for 79.00 per passenger each way.

    While on the phone with the agent my wife and I asked several times about this upgrade and the agent said she could not do it and to contact the airline (they offer this option online through their website, so this has to be an option for the agent). I contacted the airline and they said that they could not add the upgrade and that Cheap-o-air needed to do it. I called cheap-o-air again to get this resolved and they said it would take 24 hours to review the phone call and provide me with a decision.

    In the meantime, I called the airline back and spoke to someone who could help, they quoted me 974.00 for the same upgrade that Cheap-o-air was offering on their website for 79.00 per person each way (79.00 x 6) = 474.00. This morning, they informed me that they listed to the call and found no agent error. My wife and I clearly asked about this upgrade several times and we were told to call the airline.

All the essential information about the flights and connections should be well organized in a single page and extraneous graphics not needed for the passenger decision making be cleared out. We should not need to scroll down to see the remainder of the information about the flight. The information should be presented as in spreadsheet form. Columns aligned with the way a passenger will search for date departure, destination, flight number, time of departure, seat number. All subsequent connections also clearly aligned. Their customer service people are not very helpful and the connection with their internet to talk on the phone from different areas of the world was not the greatest.     Sent in a request to do a name change months ago on one of my tickets. They said they could do it and we would just have to pay a fee. Fee was paid and everything was processed. My wife wanted to change the date of her flight so she contacted them and they told her that she has to pay $350 for the change, she told them that she needs a couple of hours to make up her mind since it's 5 am in Canada and she needs to check with me. They told her that if you don't pay now it will be double in two hours. My wife fell for it and paid. I just checked and the flight's cost is $350 and there are even cheaper ones, so they didn't change the date, they literally made her buy a new flight and just disregarded her original reservation. Tried to talk to customer service again but they said she already paid and they can do nothing about it. Their customer service are random ** that don't care about the company's reputation. I've been using the website for more than 10 years and this is the first time I talk to customer service because I never had an issue with a flight. I will never use this website again.

    I called yesterday April 1, 2024 at about 4-5 pm asking for assistance on the seating assignment because the web page was not letting me do it that time. A certain Val informed me that I can’t pick seats and the 19.95 is just for one flight. He said I am confused. Went to the site and I was able to do so.     I booked my flight on Cheapoair and cancelled it within no time and I was shocked they charged me 100$ cancellation fees, I talked to them they made it 75$ but I wasn't happy at all, I posted a review, they called me back and sent me email saying they will refund me the whole amount which I felt it's fair, I know it takes few days for the refund to reflect on my Credit card so I'm waiting but I wanted to say that I'm happy with their customer service that they called me back, thank v

    Customer service is excellent. All questions and concerns are answered. 1st time user. Agent asked if I needed any booking with shuttle to hotel and answered and took care of that for me. Also transport to ship the next day from the hotel. I will have to call again to get transportation back from ship to airport.
