    The individual I spoke with, Rebecca, was very kind, patient and clear. I appreciated her a great deal as she does her job well. My only suggestion is more to CheapOair. My understanding was that calling, as opposed to simply making arrangements online, would provide the consumer with financial advantages not available otherwise. Perhaps this is only true with other companies & wish it were made clearer in the advertising.

    Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Agents have absolutely no idea what they are doing nor do they understand the airlines policies. I was constantly given information that was contrary to airline policies just after getting off the phone with the airlines themselves. The company doesn’t care about customers. They just want your money and as soon as they have it they could care less about your issues.

    When you book a roundtrip ticket it is usually cheaper than a oneway ticket, so you cannot cancel the outbound flight and only use the return, otherwise people would be doing that all the time. We do apologize that we could not accommodate your request.

    The customer service has went down hill not to mention the website errors. I brought a ticket for a date and paid and when the website refreshed on it’s on it gave me. Whole different date. I tried adjusting the date. The price jumped up. I called customer service and this man was asking me for my credit card number security code and address and date of birth. I have this all on recording. Keep in mind I gave him the confirmation or ticket number and verified my name and all he had to do was cancel but he said he need all the above information I gave to refund me money and had to charge a fee. I quickly hung up. Called back. Got the corrected help and was waived the fee cause there was an issue with the site and no credit card information or personal information was ask. Please don’t fall victim cause this man could have cleared me out smh had I gave him that information.

    I am currently stranded in Nigeria because of this third party service. 2 connecting flights from my travel were cancelled due to inclement weather. The problem is the company's response to my issue. They want to give me a flight that leaves 3 days past my initial departure date. This was completely unacceptable and caused me a lot of undue stress. I had to book a new flight to ensure that I make it home.

    I phoned to I want to get a price quote for a trip from Atlanta Georgia to St. John’s Canada. The rep told me the price would be $800 and some dollars which was about $90 more than what the online site was showing me. I told him I can get a cheaper price online for the same dates and the same airline flight times but he said, "Madame you won’t get that. It’s been updated. When you check out the price will be increased." I hung up and tried online and I got the cheaper price. I don’t know why he was telling me that it would be more expensive. I was able to do it easily online without the hassle.

It is also displayed on the second page right below the flights that showed personal item, and checked bags had a $$ sign next to it, meaning there is a charge. Most airlines all charge for bags!     I had a very disappointing experience with CheapOair. I booked an international flight and paid about $160 extra for seat selection. After confirming my reservation, I realized the seats assigned to me were not the ones I selected and paid for. I contacted customer service multiple times through phone and live chat, but nothing was resolved. I was told the seat selection was non-changeable and non-refundable, and I was directed to contact the airline instead. This makes no sense, since I paid the seat selection fee directly to CheapOair. They should be responsible for fixing the issue or issuing a refund.

    To make matters worse, I was informed that canceling the flight would cost $100 per person. Instead of taking responsibility, they simply passed the problem to the airline. Based on my experience, I strongly do not recommend booking tickets through this website. If something goes wrong, do not expect meaningful help or a fair resolution.

    I’m extremely displeased with this booking agency. I booked my Japan flights at a great price, and suddenly they changed my itinerary with absolutely no explanation. Every time I try to get answers, all I get is automated messages telling me they ‘sent a new itinerary’—but still no real details. Their chat system is just another robot repeating the same thing. To make it worse, the ‘alternative’ they’re offering is ridiculous: departing on a Saturday but arriving on a Monday. It feels like they’re trying to push me into canceling so I’ll be forced to buy a more expensive flight. This is unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional.

    VERY disappointed in my experience and will never use your company again. Moreover I will tell as many people as I can not to use you either. Your company booked my flights and when Avelo Airlines cancelled all flights into Wilmington, my return was cancelled. After searching for flights which would fit my return timeframe, I was unable to find one.

    I needed a direct flight and there weren't any. Therefore I needed to cancel my trip. Also cancel the flight on American Airlines to Orlando on February 23rd as I can't get home in time. I asked for a mere $139 refund (or credit) from CheapOair since you booked me. I was told "NO". I guess you don't back up what you sell. Bad business model.

    We have reviewed the reservation and do see that our team did call to see if they could enhance your reservation by doing automatic check in which you denied so they did not add that to the reservation. I do see that when you booked this online you purchased trip insurance and seats which were included in the total amount you agreed to purchase. later on you tried to make changes online to your flights which there was an add collect and fare difference that you needed to pay. Other than that, Cheapoair did not charge you anything above and beyond what you had already booked. For further assistance you can certainly reach out to the billing department.

    We are the travel agency and have to follow the guidelines in place by the airline you chose to book on. The fees are the airlines and not Cheapoair so it would not have made a difference. You could have booked the flights with us and gone onto the airline site to book the bags but you will see they determine the cost and pass that along to the travel sites. We also provide the bag policy directly beneath the flight details so you can review them before you enter your credit card.

    The booking site is very misleading. There was only one option for baggage purchase for a round trip, therefore only one way baggage was purchased. I called them to verify if the luggage was for the round trip. I was advised that it was only one way and I would have to pay for additional luggage for the return flight. Once I realized that the price was more than I have expected I have asked for price match, it was not provided. Therefore, I have asked to cancel the trip. I was advised that to cancel the trip I was going to be charged cancelation fee of $100 USD. After pleading with them they agreed to reduce it to $50. I have paid $50USD for trip I did not take. Very disappointed!

    We have reviewed the reservation and the baggage you had to click on each flight and add the bags however that was done during the booking process. The PMP does not include the cost of bags only the cost of the airfare as bags are always optional. We do list in our terms and conditions that there is a fee for the service of booking and also cancellation in which was agreed that it was acknowledged when you hit submit. The bag fee would have been charged regardless of if you booked with Cheapoair.ca, the airline directly, or another travel site. We do regret that you were not able to complete your vacation.

    I booked a international flight with CheapOair, but when I tried to reach them to make a minor correction, on my booking name, it has became a nightmare. I have two last names and they are divided by a space, and most likely the booking system moved one of the name, in to the middle name section. I asked them to make the correction, but instead, on the first phone call I was told to cancel and rebook at my expense, on the second phone call they can fix it if I pay 200 dollars or more, but I needed to call back the next day, because the help desk was closed. I called back again and I get different answers, finally after 3 days of calling, they shared an email for me to send a request via email and pictures of my passport. Now it's the weekend and they only respond during business hours, I have wasted 5 days trying to get this corrected. And it's not a for sure that they will correct it. I will post a review again if they do help or not

If you are not flexible you would have not chose that ticket, we do not make any changes to flights once you have clicked on it.     Worst Customer Service Experience Ever. This was my first time flying out of the country, and I didn’t realize that a passport book (not a passport card) was required to fly internationally. When I realized the issue, I immediately called the company to explain the situation and asked for help changing my flight so I could land near the border and drive into Mexico instead. They refused to help in any way. I was told I would have to pay full price for another flight, with no refund, no credit, and no willingness to even discuss options. They completely dismissed what I was saying.

    To make it worse, the first customer service agent hung up on me, and the second agent was just as useless—cold, rude, and unhelpful. No empathy, no effort, no customer service skills whatsoever. For a company that deals with international travel, you’d expect some level of understanding or guidance—especially for first-time travelers. Instead, I was treated like my situation didn’t matter at all. If I could give 100 zero stars, I would. Absolutely terrible experience and the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. I will never use this company again and don’t recommend it to anyone.

    I've used this service for years and there is as much positive as negative that I can say. The major issues revolve around having to pivot. There have been times where I have not been able to travel due to illness and this latest time due to inclement weather nationwide. When I was ill, it happened to be COVID and I was allowed to have airline credit for one year. When I was well and tried to use the credit, I was not allowed. I tried 3 times within the one year I was told that I was obligated and denied each time for different reasons. The last time I tried to use it, the company said it had no recollection, even though the status was showing on my account.

    This latest issue is directly related to weather. The eastern Seaboard was hit extremely hard and all businesses and schools in my immediate area were closed all week ( Sunday through Thursday - date of travel). We are expected to have another major winter storm this weekend and the National Weather Service sent out a winter storm advisory and inclement weather advisory advising travelers to stay inside. Most travelers are being cancelled and stranded inside the airports while waiting for a newly assigned connected flight due to inclement weather. The agent confirmed what I knew, which is that many flights are being cancelled; however required me to wait for a cancellation rather than allow me to pay for a trip modification for a more reasonable and safe date to travel. After the last experience of not being allowed to fly using credit, I lost trust in the vendor altogether.

    The airline was willing to change the flight, but I'd need to fly to the exact location...I was flying for a retirement, which will never happen again and it's not enough that I will miss my best friend's moment due to inclement weather, but I'm insulted with traveling to the area without a legitimate reason. In a situation where everything goes as planned, they are a decent resource as far as affordable travel, but that does not outweigh the risk of having to pivot for any reason. In most cases, you may have to. I have purchased insurance through them and not been able to recoup any cost for delay, interruption, or cancellation. Pointless.

    This is my 2nd experience with CheapOair.... and this time it's really bad.... Long story short... Few minutes, as I completed the booking, I received a call from a representative of cheapOair who, from the very first minutes, began insistently describing worst-case scenarios if I did not purchase insurance. Even after I asked about the price and stated that I was willing to proceed with it, the conversation continued in an aggressive and intrusive manner, and my attempts to politely interrupt were ignored. As a result, the interaction left a very negative impression and significantly affected my mood; I believe this type of communication reflects poorly on the company... This is how, I do not see any reason to give you more than 1 star.

    I’m very disappointed. I have used Cheapoair for many trips but am losing my trust in them. My husband and my daughter are scheduled to travel together from Dubrovnik to Florence in April with connection in Vienna. We received an email that the flight from Vienna to Florence was canceled and we were offered the option to book a later flight same airline later that day. We accepted the changes for both travelers but only my daughter was moved and not my husband. I have followed up several times with no response except a bot that says someone will be back in touch. I am nervous that they are still not booked in same flight, please fix this. Maybe people shouldn’t rely on keeping a family together for a trip with this company. Can’t recommend you until this gets fixed

We offer "alternate" date options which are highlighted and do say if you want to save money we can offer you an alternate date, this is what you clicked on. This is mostly for those who want a cheaper price, and are flexible with their travel dates. So when you called to correct it, the date you originally wanted is more expensive so you had to pay the fare for the date you actually needed.     Everything was really, really good. We always use you guys with our travel needs, but this time we are experiencing some trouble with our bags. We clicked on view our booking and verified that we were each allowed to check-in free, but we just got to the airport and we had to pay $600 More because they said our second bag is no longer free. The bad part is unless something happens with our booking we are gonna have to pay another 600 when we come back on the fifth. I wonder if there’s something you guys can do to correct this or if we can get refunded. At least make it so we do not have to pay the 600 coming back again. Please we really do like using you guys for all our travel needs and we have been doing a lot of traveling.

    Unfortunately baggage is determined by the airline directly and you have to abide by their policies. If you clicked on their website and you were allowed 1 free bag each, than if everyone had a second bag you are responsible to pay that going, and coming back. The upto date bag policy is listed on the airline website and if you are on multiple airlines you have to go by all the airlines policies. If you think you were over charged by the airline you need to speak with them directly.

    DO NOT USE!!! I have used them a number of times with no issue but this time I had to cancel a flight. I had even bought their insurance. My flight was canceled- they charged me a fee!!!! That I had to pay out of pocket for! Then, I did not get a refund, I received a credit. Fine, I travel a lot. I go to use said credit- I am on their website looking at the fares while talking to the agent (They won't let you book online and use your credit. You have to 'call them') and they give me a flight price- looks like what I see online- and I say, "Ok now take my credit off it" and I get 'that is with your credit.' WTF. THEY TRIED TO STEAL MY CREDIT AND WANTED TO CHARGE ME ANOTHER FEE! I called in 3 times- 2 times they promised someone would call me back. I GOT NOTHING.

    I ended up calling the airline and telling them what this company was doing and the airline refunded me my money. I will NEVER use them again. Thieves and liars. Oh, and gaslighting!! "Oh, you must he looking at USA pricing"- no I absolutely am not. I'm not stupid. "Oh, you're looking at a different flight level." I will NEVER use them again.

    These people are crooks. Don't book through here. They have the habit of changing your after you purchase the date you bought. It just happened to me. Booked a flight for the 16th of December. When I got the confirmation, it was for a different date. I called immediately, had to rebook the flight with a customer representative, was charged again and was told that would get a refund for the first booking. I just got a $9.99 refund when I paid $240 twice for an 1 hour flight, am going to take legal action against these crooks. Don't believe what I say, just look at the previous reviews, some needs to stop these crooks

    Tried to purchase a ticket for $1,125 using affirm for financing. The transaction was suddenly "declined," the ticket was "out of stock." I ended up finding the same ticket again and the price of the ticket jumped to over $1,600. I got a call a few seconds after this happened and was offered help on booking. I accepted the help only to find out the "help" was for booking a more expensive ticket. I check back the same night and the price went back to $1,125 even though on the call I was told that the price hadn't updated to the new one yet. CheapOair is doing a bait and switch scam, DO NOT purchase from them.

    In order to save a few dollars I booked through this app. Luckily, I reviewed my tickets in plenty of time before the date of my flight because my last name was completely wrong. I used the chat option to request the name change (my last name was placed as my middle name the last name was “English”). After several minutes, I was informed that it would cost me $125 to change the name on the first flight and $75 to change it on the second. Mind you, the flight isn’t until January. The cost to change the names was almost as much as the flight! When I asked if I could cancel the flight I was told it would so no good because they will only issue credit to the name on the ticket. I was told this was a “major change” and that’s why it cost so much. I decided to deal with the airline directly and the issue was resolved in less than 24 hours and for free. I will not be using this service again.

    In May 2025 I cancelled a flight because of my father's death. I was charged a $118 cancelation fee for 2 tickets. I received a credit from the airline, and was told by Cheap'Oair that I would need to book thru them to receive the airline credit. The letter said there would be $0 in fees to do so. However, a week ago I booked flights using the airline credit and was charged $100 per ticket to book new flights. They claimed it was changing the original booking, but I cancelled the original booking. The agent lied to me during the booking and never told me that $200 of the cost was fees.

    Please keep in mind that CheapOair is reasonable if absolutely nothing goes wrong. In my case I got really sick on a family trip with a horrible respiratory illness. Our upgraded tickets were purchased initially for $1400 (not cheap and not to first class) but I had to get home. So we asked CheapOair for assistance and received none. We had to buy two new tickets for $1100 on the same airline (American) and were cramped into horrible isolated seats. The customer service rep did not care. No energy to argue. Should we have purchased insurance probably. However, this is a rare situation and you would hope for a little more helpful assistance from CheapOair. Be aware of the robotic responses from their customer service department. No empathy, compassion or assistance. They got their cut for reselling tickets. BTW I had Covid.

    VERIFIED BOOKING #*--I haven't determined how to do -5 stars for this company. We booked 3 flights to Japan with them at same time. The experience was beyond terrible for all of us. We purchased with extra payment option to make changes on departures or arrival--they now say all changes needed to be made before initial leg of flight and unchangeable after initial flight--return changes???? They made mistake and misspelled name wrong with airlines and 1 ticket was cancelled. Cost me additional $ 1200+ to purchase another ticket and they may reimburse but wife left and they couldn't get me on another flight for 9 days for which I paid extra. CheapoAir said we cancelled flight but we didn't as Cheapo made the name mistake.

    Biggest problem was insufficient time in Tokyo to transfer from international to domestic flight. 1 hour 20 min not possible to go through IMMIGRATION and CUSTOMS and then take bus to domestic terminal--had extreme difficulty with all 3 flights. Tried to change return flight for son due to family issues but won't allow even though we purchased insurance. All legs of flights for all of us have been a disaster. I tried to rationalize with agent and manager at Cheapo about issues with minimal results. Terrible company. Watch for extra useless charges.

    Very bad experience, selling me supreme support package for 200$ I did not ask and refused to cancel it along with ESA FEE, PLUS SELLING ME A TICKET FOR CHILD WHO IS 1 YEAR OLD. I was told that manager will call me after the customer support refused to cancel ticket all together or cancel parts I did not buy. However, manager never calls me.     Worst airline ever, don't travel with them, they should teach their customer service agent on how to talk and behave. The customer service agent was constantly cutting me off on the call and very dis and she was very and he was very disrespectful. I accidentally booked my flight a day after my parents flight and my parents have some medical issues and they are not changing my flight according to my parents' flight date and sadly my parents have to live without me and there would be no one to accompany them. This could have been avoided if they would have changed my flight date and let me go with my best and it's just a matter of fact that these airlines customer service Helpline are worse than the hospitals.

    I have a ticket through CheapOair that’s connecting to my other flights. They keep changing my flight and will not refund my money. I would recommend not flying with this company.     Just visited with customer service trying to get help with my flight I purchased to Japan. They changed my flight from Austin TX to San Francisco by way of Seattle. they turned a direct flight into a extra 10 hours of lay over in Seattle in middle of the night. The flight I was on was still able to get on but now the cost was 8500.00 for two added to my cost already. Never trust CheapoAir, I have used them many of times. I asked for assistance and what I get is, overcharge and treated like dirt, on their whim.

    We have reviewed the reservation and the airline that you booked on is Alaska airlines and Japan airlines. Cheapoair we are the travel agency and have no control over the airlines schedule changes which occurred in September. Once you accepted the schedule there are no "free" changes offered. So when you called to rebook the cost that was quoted was $800.00 a person so I am not seeing $8500.00, please reach out to the sales office again for further assistance.

    I was about to visit my son on his birthday at Norfolk NAVY base in Virginia, Nov 16-19. Two weeks before the fly, he contact me, they transfer him to Maine, for 6 months, for security duty. I contacted CheapOair to see what I can do with my ticket. No one was able to help, because it was the most cheapest ticket, and I didn't purchase insurance. Be happy with my $329, this was a last time I was using cheapoair.

    We have reviewed the reservation and the fare rules. You purchased a BASIC ECONOMY fare which is the lowest fare, but also the most restrictive. We did provide the fare rules during the booking process, also we automatically provide the next upgraded fare with less restrictions which allows you to make changes, cancel and hold a future credit for a year but it cost more. Unfortunately we are the travel agency and have to follow the fare rules put in place by the airline you booked on.

    Couldn’t fly back home because CheapOair misprinted my name. They couldn’t modify it even 2 hours before flight. A simple change could from changing name from Fnu to my real name would turn this review better but this was my first time bad experience.

    My experience with Cheapoair.com was not just disappointing — it was genuinely upsetting. When I booked my tickets, I hadn’t selected any seats yet. But shortly after, a Cheapoair agent called me and urgently pushed me to choose seats immediately, warning me that my children and I might not be seated together if I didn’t act right away.

    As a parent traveling with minors, that terrified me. No one wants to imagine their children sitting alone on a flight with strangers. Because of that fear, I made a quick decision and ended up paying $600 just to ensure we would stay together. Only later did I learn that the airline would have provided free seat assignments — especially for families — and that this pressure was completely unnecessary. I felt misled, manipulated, and taken advantage of during a vulnerable moment.

    When I called Cheapoair to explain what happened, hoping they would understand and refund the charges, they coldly told me it was “too late” because I didn’t contact them within 24 hours of the reservation. It didn’t matter to them that their own agent pressured me into buying something I didn’t need. I walked away feeling powerless, frustrated, and honestly heartbroken that a company would use a parent’s fear like this to make money. I will never use Cheapoair again, and I hope no other family has to go through this kind of emotional and financial stress.

    I meant to book a flight for November 11th. Upon confirmation, I noticed my flights were for November 22nd. These were not the correct dates, as I did not have time off from work for these dates. No one is willing to help me, and I keep getting told a manager will call me back. To top it off, I have also been double-charged with a total of five transactions being removed from my credit card. Everyone I talk to transfers me to another agent, and no one is willing to rectify any problems.

    I called the airline my flights were booked through and was told there was nothing that could be done as it was booked through CheapOair.
