The Roanoke Rapid, NC location was easy to get to from 95 N or S. We have stayed at this location about 6 times. The hallways can be noisy at times and the toilets are low. They are elementary height. But the free breakfasts are pretty good, about what you could expect at 2.5 rated hotel. The staff both front desk and housekeeping have been very good as well.

Oak Meadow Inn in St. Helens, Oregon - I had stayed at this motel a few years back for a week and was very happy with it so when I had to be in St. Helens again on business I booked a week at the motel. My second stay there was a disaster. The motel was doing renovations so there were cable and lights in the hallways day and night. The water was only lukewarm and three different times this was brought to the attention of the front desk with no lasting results. The breakfast bar was shut down on 2 different days due to an electrical problem with the hot bar. The hot tub was non-functional and this was a true disappointment as I booked this primarily because of the heated pool and spa. A very negative experience and I would not recommend this motel.

Best Western in Amarillo, TX, Santa Fe was the worst experience in a hotel. My husband and I arrived late evening. Sink was stopped up. In the morning toilet was stopped up. Employee at registration desk said, “No other available rooms.” Had to use bathroom, which had a hole in the wall, next to registration desk. When checking out, "Earl", said he would give us a 20% discount. While driving away I looked at the receipt. We were given a 10% discount.

I really expected better for what I paid. I stayed at the Best Western on State Farm Pkwy for 2 nights. The first thing I noticed as I entered the room was the couch. The couch had a dirty look to it, and it had holes all in it. It appeared that it had a stain on it that someone tried to remove unsuccessfully. I woke up the first morning and attempted to make some coffee to no avail because the coffee maker in the room didn’t work. The door to the closet was broken and wouldn’t shut. My card key wouldn’t work two times because they deprogrammed it for some reason, so I had to take it back to the front desk each time. The girl who checked me in on the first day seemed pleasant, however she was the only one whom I dealt with who was. I usually don’t leave reviews, but this was such a bad experience that I needed to vent (and hopefully save someone from experiencing what I did). I can’t imagine staying at another.

February 2, 2018 I checked into the Best Western Greenville Airport for the specific reason to take the shuttle in the morning to the airport. As I often do when traveling and I have an early flight. I told the clerk at the front desk upon check-in that I would need to be on the shuttle in the morning. She told me that it leaves at 6:00 am, and to be there 15 minutes early. I thought this would be OK, since my flight was at 7:30 am. Saturday Feb 3, 5:35 am I went to the hotel lobby. I told the clerk at the desk that I was there to catch the 6 am shuttle to the airport. She said, "You are not on the list." Without an explanation of what that meant, I said, "I need a ride to the airport." She repeated, "You're not on the list." She then showed me the list and said, "See. You're not on the list." She continued with the attitude that it was my responsibility to be on "the list".

I said, "I don't know who is responsible for your list. I told clerk when I check in yesterday that I needed to catch the airport shuttle at 6 am and she told me to be here 15 minutes early." The back and forth of "on this list/not on this list" continued until I finally said, "Then put me on the list." She then told me that the shuttle leaves at 6 am and 7 am, I said, "Ok 6 am," and asked about coffee. She said, "Around corner." At this point I was frustrated with the disrespectful strange behavior from the front-desk clerk.

I didn't see the coffee cups when I went to get coffee. I cracked open the "employee only" door, not entering, and called out for a cup. The clerk came around and with a disdain expression and showed me where they were. I sat down to drink my coffee thinking everything was ok. Wrong. Someone walked quickly behind me and said, "Your shuttle is ready." I gathered my carry on, my large rolling suitcase, my purse and my still full coffee cup. Making it to the front door and finding it difficult to navigate the slight grade that it had some kind of bumps in the concrete. Consequently, my coffee started to spill. The shuttle wasn't 10 ft from the door and the driver remained behind the door of the van out of sight.

I called out for help from the driver and she said, "Bring your luggage over here. I will help you put it on the back." I had to dump out my coffee and then was able to get to the back of the van. Really, why wouldn't she help me? I am 66 years old and under 5 and needed help. Now the clerk came out and said I was yelling. Not true! I only called out for help. The driver now told me she didn't need to take me. That it was a courtesy service not a service guaranteed. She took my luggage off the van and shut off the engine, and disappeared back into the hotel. I went in and told the clerk to call me a cab, I realizing she was not going to help me.

So then I started trying to find a cab. No cab companies were answering the phone. A few choice words in a heated moment followed and I concluded the conversation by saying, "I hoped you have surveillance cameras." I am a senior woman traveling alone. I was left in the front of the hotel with my luggage. It was dark and I'm in an unfamiliar neighborhood and town, not knowing anyone I could call. No answers on cab or transportation calls. It was still very dark out and I didn't know what to do. Terrified, I headed toward the only light that was a Waffle House. Desperate, I asked a young man who looked as if he was on his way to work if he was going by the airport and I would pay him twenty dollars to take me. Turned out he is an angel, he saw my desperation and said, "You don't have to pay me anything", picked up my luggage and took me to the airport in time to catch my flight. When I was dropped off, I put 20.00 in his console.

As a frequent Best Western guest, I have found this entire experience to be traumatizing to me. I wake up in the middle of the night reliving the incident. It was only by the Grace of God that this man turned out to be an Angel, but I was focus on NOT missing my plane home. Finally, when a guest calls out for help – obviously in need of assistance – do NOT accuse them of SHOUTING. There IS a difference. It could have been a matter of life and death, and your front-desk clerks put MY LIFE in danger. The public needs to be informed about how they could be treated by Best Western employees.

I went a ten trip to the East Coast with my daughter and my niece starting in PA. and ending up in the state of NY. then back to Michigan. On this trip I put all the hotels on my charge card and at the end of the stay the 3 of us split the bill and we paid in cash. We stayed at these hotels: Fairfield in Dubois PA then La Quinta Inn and Suites in New Haven CT, then on to Quality Inn and Suites in Lexington MA then to La Quinta Inn and Suites in South Burlington Vermont.

Now out of all these hotels I had no problem paying cash. When we left the last stop was Best Western Plus Buffalo NY and when I signed in I told the woman that register me I would be paying in cash. She noted on my room so the next day I paid the young man without looking at my receipt. Got home the next month I receive my credit card bill and guess what, I now owe the 102 dollars that I already paid when I checked out. I've been fighting this since November. I checked out on October 3 2017.

I talk to the manager and he informed me that there is a drop cash box and guess what, no extra money but he informed the 2 people that had registered me and took my money no longer works there. Really. I wonder why he also informed me there's no video camera to see me paid this young man and he hung up the phone. Really. I'm 61 years old and I'm going to con someone it will be more than a 100. I will never ever stay in any of your so call hotel ever again and believe me I will make sure everyone I know and even the ones I don't know will never stay in another this hotel. If I could give this hotel (BEST WESTERN PADUCAH, KY) a ZERO I would. Worst hotel experience EVER. I have stayed at so many hotel in my life and seriously the worst. I never write bad reviews but this hotel charged me for checking out 20 minutes late. Mind you my truck started on fire while driving down the interstate. I was staying here waiting on insurance to get me a rental. I got out as fast as possible and they charged me $25.00 before tax WITHOUT telling me for checking out at 12:20 PM. $26.86 after tax. I call and complain and this is how I found this out. Then January 2nd a week later I look at my statement. I am charged another two charges $53.71 and $32.23. REALLY WHY??

I have never had an issue like this. Save your money and time. Stay somewhere more trustworthy. You want your money taken stay here. Don't believe me. Go to Google, click on the link that says lowest score and read several other reviews that have had the same issue as me. The good reviews are probably from the owner and staff. I will be filing a dispute with my bank, the police, and the Better Business Bureau. KEEP IN MIND I WAS CHARGED THROUGH PRICELINE AS I BOOKED THROUGH THEM SO ALL THESE ARE EXTRA CHARGES!! The NONSMOKING hotel room smelled so bad of cigarette smell. The shower curtain had mold. The air and heat was either way too hot or way too cold. The Carpets are gross.

I have stayed at many Best Westerns without any major issues and I recently used loyalty reward points to stay at Best Western Castlerock Inn & Suites in Bentonville Ark. I agree with some other reviews about the breakfast being below average for a BW Plus, but my room was fine. A few days after my stay I opened my credit card bill to discover a mystery charge. I have no idea what the $30 charge is for. Other “Poor” reviews for this hotel have mentioned unexplained charges.

I emailed the national BW customer service department for an explanation a few days ago but haven’t heard anything. More frustrating, I phoned Bentonville directly. The gentleman I talked to said that the manager was on the other line but would call me back with the billing explanation. That was five days ago. I will have to pay this credit card charge, but will not stay at this hotel again. And this experience influences my overall opinion of Best Western customer service.

I booked a room with a local BW for 2 nights on Booking.com with the pay at the property option and cancelled it within the allotted time so I figured I was good. The week after the stay would have happened, I see a charge for $300 then a reversal of $100. Apparently all of a sudden my room was a non-refundable room (pretty sure those are usually a prepaid situation, not pay at property) and they decided to refund 1 night but not the 2nd. I never received a receipt or notification of this situation, just a charge the day after I would have checked out had I stayed.

I'm so angry as the hotel is local and if I had thought it was non-refundable as they now state (they also tried to claim there were 3 dates I cancelled... I only cancelled 2 dates due to a friend who was trying to get dates off and it not working out as planned. If I had known it was non-refundable, I would have at least gone up and enjoyed the night away from my crazy neighbor since it was already paid for.

Trying to get a response from BW is like trying to get blood from a turnip... repeatedly my emails went unanswered which just proves that you as a customer don't matter at all. I'll be advising all friends and family to avoid BW at all costs! $150 is a big amount for someone who lives paycheck to paycheck and apparently they don't care, enough so that they'll keep the one night over a customer.

Please note, I take writing a review like this very seriously and prior to doing so all I asked was that we be treated with respect and given the price that was on the internet and that I had verified prior to taking the shuttle on the phone 15 min earlier. The rude, angry, and confrontational manager who refused to give her name beyond "Ana" said, post the review as if she didn't care at all about the hotel, the chain, and clearly about us as clients who had arrived in the early morning after a long flight trusting the good name of Best Western (which I no longer trust as quality). Here it is.

I travel all around the world and have stayed in many hotels and had arrived in San Francisco at 1 am. At about 1:30 I called the phone # for the hotel and spoke with a woman and verified the price, gave them my name and asked when the shuttle would be coming to the airport. I waited outside the airport for the shuttle and when I arrived at the hotel, the price given to me was $50 higher than the amount I was quoted on the phone (that I had verified with someone else who also heard my phone call). When I asked if I could book online for 2 nights, or if they could give the rate I was promised, the manager (who only gave me her name of Ana, who looked upset from the moment she stepped out) refused and then told us we could not stay there.

I explained to her that I would pay the amount as I needed a place to stay but that it is important to treat people properly and I was promised the rate on the phone and gave my name for the reservation. She continued to argue that I hadn't called so I pressed redial on the # I had called and all the phones started ringing around us. Despite the fact I had just proven that I had called, she turned us away at 2:30 am and I was forced to call an Uber and stay elsewhere.

Before leaving this review, I let her know politely that I would do so and all I was asking was to be charged the amount I was promised. If you are looking for a good hotel, there are many. This would be the last one you would ever want to look at and while I wish Ana great energy, perhaps Best Western can look at giving her some training on taking care of customers as ultimately, if someone has been flying for a long time, arrives at 1 am and calls to verify, and then arrives, the right thing is to take care of the customer. This hotel has provided the absolute worst service I have ever received in 20 different countries and Ana the manager was the rudest, most angry, and incompetent manager I have ever seen. If you are looking for a place to stay, don't walk, run away from Best Western Plus El Rancho Inn in this location.

It really blows my mind that a company with zero customer service can grow to be as large as Best Western! Even corporate doesn't respond to guest complaints! I'm a gold member on Hotels.com. I stay in a lot of hotels! I booked with Waltham, MA TLC location and have never been so disappointed in my life. Booked a room with 2 beds and only got one. Upon calling the front desk I was told it WAS a 2 bedroom because the sofa has a pull out bed. Excuse me? Did the manager really compare a pull out bed to a real bed? Lol. I have family all over MA I could've stayed with. I booked a hotel because I wanted a comfortable night's sleep and a hot shower. I got neither. I got stuck on a sofa bed and we couldn't even shower. Room had no hot water.

We were at a Guns N' Roses concert at TD garden all night so the fact we couldn't shower in the morning was pretty gross. Upon checking out, manager asked how my stay was... Why even ask if you guys don't care? I informed with what my issues and was given a smile and a promise for a good deal next time. Lol. There won't be a next time. You guys are totally unprofessional and petty. The following night we went to another Guns N' Roses concert in Hartford. Our choice came down between a Best Western or a Comfort Inn... Guess what we chose? Ha. Comfort Inn for the win! Bite me Best Western! Never again will you get another penny from me. I refuse to stay somewhere that doesn't care about their guests. And for a hotel that charges over $300 a night, you should really fix that peeling ceiling!

On October 21, 2017 at about 2:30 am I checked into the Best Western North Waco on Bellmead in Waco, Texas. Less than 10 minutes in the room I opened the cabinet in order to heat food and a roach emerged. Upon check out this morning, I went to the front desk to complain of the issue. I told her that I thought it was ridiculous to charge $287 for a room and have a roach. I did not request any money. I simply made a complaint that she seemed to care less about. The clerk did or said absolutely nothing helpful. I was especially bothered that even after I showed the young lady the picture of the roach, she never made any type of attempt to do anything. Notify housekeeping, a manager, an exterminator perhaps. Bothered by this I called the customer service number. I filed a complaint. I expressed my opinion that it was ridiculous to charge someone $287 for a room with roaches and also my shock of the clerk’s lack of response to the issue.

Not once did I request a refund nor a discounted rate. However the gentleman that called me from the hotel 254-732-2039, General Manager Dipak Patel, called to tell me he could not give me a discount for two reasons. One being I booked through a third party and two there was smoking in the room. I am totally livid at this point. There was no smoking in the room and there is absolutely no evidence of smoking. But addressing the money or discount that I did not ask for, if I had an issue with the money I never would have paid for the room and I certainly would have never stayed in the room until the next morning.

Furthermore, I have pictures of the roach, please give me some evidence of smoking. Yes a few people smoke and if you look at your surveillance you will see them leaving the building to smoke. We cannot help what lingers in clothing, bags, or even hair. But what I would never expect is for someone considered management to call me with what I consider retaliation. You can never do anything ever for me in the future. If you care able to check my lodging history you will see that I frequent Best Western in Ontario, California. As well as I frequent resorts and five star hotels. The roach is simply unacceptable. You have your tacky price list of detailed things you will be charged for if you take from the room. Seems to be all about a profit and you don't care about customer service.

Myself, as business owner pride myself on it. But instead I'm here feeling ripped off and somehow I feel the roach was my fault. And let me point out, I know that if this was a priority and management felt any type of remorse, he can arrange discounts, even free nights. But I will never step foot in another Best Western or anything affiliated. I never planned to and I never asked for a discount. I simply thought a roach in a lodging facility would be a concern. To think Motel 6 right next door was only $89.00.

Today Tuesday 22, 2017 around 11:00 PM, I went with my family for some coffee and the person in the front desk was very RUDE. Her name is FIO (or something like that). She is an old lady and (if I am correct) manager of the cafeteria. I asked her for some regular sugar and she told me with an attitude, screaming that she didn't have any sugar. We also brought some bread and turned on the toast oven and she came by angrily to tell us that we can't use it (in front of everyone). We said we were very sorry and she still behaved in an undignified manner. I told her that I will report her and she said she didn't care because to her, we were "greedy".

This was an insult to us because the only thing we were eating from the hotel at the time was jelly and butter that was made available to us in the first place. Plus, there was another family who were there with us and they said that they will be reporting her as well. Regardless, she insisted that she didn't care. I strongly believe that this person lacks proper manners to speak with customers, and that you should have a meeting or a serious conversation with this woman. On 07/16/17 I checked into the Best Western in Richfield, Utah at 3:17pm. I was impressed with how nice and clean the room was. Much later I retired to bed. Later in the night I was awakened by the guest across the hallway. They were in the hallway yelling at each other. Nothing was done about the disturbance caused by these people, waking me from a sound sleep. Finally these people went back into their room and did not come back out until the next morning. At 0545 am. I was awakened again by these same people in the hallway outside my room yelling at each other. By then I am upset and mad over this. Again nothing was done to quiet these people down. I suspect the reason nothing was done by the desk clerks was because the clerks and the guest are of the same nationality. I'm guessing they are all from Pakistan or a country like that.

When I attempted to complain to the desk clerk demanding to know why he couldn't control his guest he could tell I wasn't happy. That is when he decided he doesn't understand English or could he speak it. That is when things really went down the tubes. When someone does that, that infuriates me. It's nothing but a cheap way not to handle the complaint made by me. I lost it and began telling what I thought about him.

As I was walking away, a man of the same nationality asked the clerk what was the problem. That was when the clerk decided he could speak English telling the person that was cleaning the rooms that the problem is "that old man." The clerk then began yelling at me to check out and get out now. I did so after a few choice words from me. This could have been avoided if those clerks would have handled the problems from the night before and that morning. Just to add, shame on you people for hiring persons from out of the United States. They are nothing but a problem, NEVER AGAIN.

Each time I've stayed over the past three years, there have been negative issues during my stay. At each visit, I have been told they are going to "upgrade" the facility. As of July 2017, they have done nothing noticeable to improve several negatives. The mattresses HAVE to be the originals installed around 2004, and are no longer comfortable. During my recent visit in July 2017, as well, I found the first floor elevator button not working.

The ONLY person on staff when I arrived for check in, had to go around through the hotel maintenance room, enter the elevator from the backdoor, and open the front elevator door to let several other guests in, as well. This had to be repeated over and over again, between the single employee enrolling several new guests at the front desk. Two days later, the first floor elevator button was STILL not working, and we were promised the elevator company would be here to fix it the next morning. It was never fixed during my week stay. In short, this hotel is no longer recommended by me, nor is it on my list of reliable, comfortable, and sanitary places to visit. Regretfully, I give this hotel a low rating.

I am a Diamond Select member and for the past 3 years I have stayed at a Best Western hotel in Athens, Texas for business, an average of 6 times each month (average of 72 nights a year) and have given that hotel (a town of only 12,000 people) high ratings for their customer service, cleanliness, internet, breakfast, etc. Plus their cost per night is usually < $100.00 per night. I have never had any major issues with the Best Western in Athens, Texas. The small issues were always quickly corrected in a professional manner. Everyone is always very professional.

However my experience was different at the Best Western in Pensacola, Florida where I stayed for 3 nights for a family reunion trip during Blue Angel weekend. The average cost per night was ($150-$210) per night which I was told was due to it being Blue Angel weekend. Based on my years of experience at the Best Western in Athens, Texas I was expecting for the Best Western in Pensacola, Florida to be at least as nice as the one in Athens especially considering the cost per night was 2x the amount. I was wrong.

These are my complaints: (1) Pulled back the sleeper sofa and it had wet urine on the plastic part of the mattress (2) The AC sounded made a loud noise each time that it turned off like it was about to blow up. No wall thermostat. (3) Different directions for connecting to the internet for my laptop, Apple products, etc. Never had to do this at any other Best Westerns in Texas, Louisiana, California, etc. They may need to consider getting rid of that Cox internet and going to something like Spectrum. (4) The lobby area was cluttered. Did not look professional to me. (5) The doors on the closet was jammed even though the maintenance man was nice about unjamming it. The only professional thing about this hotel was the breakfast lady who was there Thursday and Friday morning.

Maybe the hotel management in Pensacola needs to come to Athens, Texas to see how they are able to run a very professional always clean hotel in a small country town for half the price of a Best Western in a beach town. Also, they are going to raise the price for Blue Angel weekend, they need to make sure that they have enough people to clean the rooms properly.

We live in a very popular and pretty beach resort, very close to the beach (Myrtle Beach S.C.). My husband and I drove the 2 hour drive to Wilmington N.C. for he wanted to see the Battle Ship there. We found and stayed at a hotel in Leeland N.C. (Best Western Plus). From being there the very first stay, we loved it. The rooms were cleaner than most rooms in Myrtle Beach (I was a housekeeper at quite a few hotels over a 20 year period). The front desk clerks (Mandy, being our favorite) were awesome. The girls went way and beyond taking care of our every need. We didn't know about the reward points until recently, and we've been regular guests for about 3 years. We signed up for the reward points, for we know prices really rise during the summer.

We stayed there for our honeymoon last summer (July 1st). It was wonderful. We decide to go back, after several stays, for our 1st wedding anniversary for 3 nights. My husband used up all his vacation leave (paid days off) when I had surgery 3 weeks ago. We couldn't do a lot during our anniversary because I was still in pain and weak. But just being at the hotel (being clean), staying always in the same room; 107, having the little bar within feet, an exercise room very close, coffee anytime, and waking up to a very nice w/o.en attending a good breakfast (included in stay at room), although they should add a little more variety as most hotels here do.

When we made reservations, unfortunately Mandy no longer worked the front desk. A lady gave us our AARP, plus what my husband brought to my attention a few days prior... that being an e-mail for a free night or $50 off at Best Western. The timing couldn't have been better. She also started to give me a price and adding our e-mail discount to it. But she stopped and mentioned something about a black ---- period where the rates go up. But she followed by "don't worry”, as she was mumbling something about the dates, don't worry, this doesn't apply to you. Yea, fantastic, let’s pack.

Little did we know, we were lied to, ignored, humiliated. And I just had surgery, plus this is where we choose to relax and celebrate our anniversary, not getting stressed out, as I did. Plain and simple, those people at the front don't care if we ever return. They only care about "The Almighty Dollar". They need to retrain the asst. manager on how to treat guests (that's what her name tag said). When we received our receipt (slid under our door)??? I was shocked! The price that was given over the phone (before we used our gasoline to drive 2 hours, losing w days of my husband’s pay), was about $100.00 more! When I asked the asst. manager??? Why... she looked at me as if I didn't make any sense, in her robotic answer and concern.

I explained to her what the front desk lady said and quoted us. She continued to say she was wrong. The point is, we may have made a different choice of locations for our special day, if we'd have know. We went by the given price before we left!!! She should have honored that price, but didn't. Instead she wanted me to get hold of the e-mail and get a number for her... blah blah blah… for Christ’s sakes; we're on vacation, not to do her job and their mistake. Stress is not good for recuperating after surgery! It was like talking to a wall.

Years of working in hospitality industry, I did learn a few things and one was not to argue with the customer. So now we go home and check our mail and bank acct. Best Western took out the first given price before we left to come here. This was on June 21st. Then Best Western took out the price change when were go and when we arrive, being $550.00. Not only is it proof that we were given a lower rate when calling, but you charged us twice, which is illegal. Our once beautiful place will be no longer. There needs to be a change, and by reading these horrible reviews, not only could you lose us, but guests and word of mouth and not honoring what is right, can wipe the reputation of your hotel right off the map! I'm doing a dispute with my bank this morning, not with the second price given, but the higher! I'm writing the Corporate Office and keep going!!!

We checked into Best Western in Waynesville, NC on May 31,2017 around 10:00 pm. We were given the keys to room #236 in the back of their building that was wooded and secluded. My husband was getting our luggage out of the truck and I put the key into the door. The green light came on and the door opened, however the latch on the door was closed and I thought that it had gotten stuck somehow. I continued to try to get into the room with the key I had been given when suddenly a young girl with a small child came to the door and asked me what I was doing? I could not believe that I had just tried to break into this young lady's room and I was terrified when I realized what could have happened in that situation. That night could have ended very badly!! I cannot believe this could happen. I will NEVER be at a Best Western Again.

Breakfast is excellent, and variety of continental breakfast, hot, fresh. Yummy. We have stayed in 4 different hotels in this area over the past 4 weeks due to a problem with house settlement. I wish we would have reserved here first. Can't say enough good things about it. Made our stay so comfortable. Thank You!

After exclusively using Best Westerns for six to seven years and never using the points earned we contacted their rewards customer services. We had very few points in our account. We went over our account and they did not have any records of most of our stays. We were told that we have to keep our records and monitor our points ourselves and if they do not show up in six months on our account they are just lost. We find it very strange that so many of our stays with Best Westerns and using our rewards card has never been in their records at all.

We never imagined they would take advantage of us like this. We do not stay with them any more. We should have never put our trust in using their rewards system and thinking they keep track like we were told they do. Our stays were never for business, so we never kept most of our receipts more than a couple months to keep bank records up to date. Never thought rewards points earned would ever be an issue. I can imagine this might happen very often and many people could be victimized and not even know it.

I just stayed at this hotel and one of the reasons I chose it was because they advertised a hot breakfast. They limit breakfast to one hot plate. I didn't know this until I asked if we are allowed seconds. Instead of the cook saying, "No sorry, we don't allow seconds", he gave me attitude and loudly said "Oh so you want two breakfasts," in front of everyone in the dining room. At first I didn't know what he meant, since I was not told hot breakfast was limited to one plate per person. I asked the front desk and they confirmed it's only one hot plate per person.

Please let customers know at registration that you are only allowed one hot breakfast plate per person. You may also want to put a sign in the dining room. Or better yet, don't offer hot breakfast if you are going to limit it, and then not like to tell people. I have stayed at cheaper hotels with hot breakfast buffet style, not limited. I travel a lot and write for two travel blogs and will not be recommending this hotel for this reason.

I have a service dog that I can't be without. So I went down to the pool and of course brought my service dog. It is about 90 degrees but they (BW) wanted my service dog to stay on the hot cement in the beating sun and not go in the water. (We were quietly swimming around when I was told this.) Which now means I can't go to the pool. Anyone with a service dog or any pet should stay clear of this place!!

I booked there thinking it would be one of the better Best Western hotels because it was near Briarcliff in Kansas City. Wrong! DON'T BOOK HERE!! The hotel is in a rundown area and the hotel itself is rundown. We arrived and decided we didn't want to stay. We were charged for the night because I did not cancel in time to receive a free cancellation.

I'm disappointed in making this reservation and had I known of the poor conditions I would not even booked it in the first place. Poor online representation of the room and lobby. The place didn't look bad on website but it definitely did on actual seeing it in person. I'm writing this review to warn others not to book at this location. There are cleaner nicer places down the road that are the same price and worth the extra few miles to travel to get better accommodations. Lesson learned on my part. Needless to say I will not book here again and I'll do better at booking after seeing a hotel onsite rather than site unseen. I hope travelers will take note of this review.

Made and paid for two nights through Expedia. The hotel looked very new like it was recently built. It had a pretty clean and inviting pool. We checked in and I asked if they had a roll-a-way bed. The answer was no. No big deal. We were then told that they were going to put a hold on our card for $150.00 for damages that could occur. I am sorry but I am over the hill and partying days are way behind me. Not only was this not necessary but it was not a hold, it was a charge according to my bank, so three days later now and I am still waiting for a refund.

Our kids were driving us crazy about going swimming so we get ready to go down to the pool. (Keep in mind, this is Louisiana and it is hot in late April.) The kids run back up to the room and tell us that the gate was locked. I called the front desk and the lady told me that the pool was closed for the season. What Season? That is ridiculous. She then proceeded to tell me that it says that on their website, so as I had her on the phone I went to their website and saw nothing of the sort. She still argued with me.

When it came time to sleep, we had two double beds in our room and a fold out couch. Both double beds felt like you were lying on a stack of plywood. The pillows were the size of couch throw pillows and did not support anything. We didn't sleep very well to say the least. The TV in the room was the size of one of my computer monitors at work, it looked to be a 21". Hot water? What hot water? You had to keep the handle all the way on hot to get warm water. Be forewarned, there is no elevator at this two story hotel, just another way that they tried to save money during construction. We are loyal to Best Western almost everywhere we travel to, but this Best Western, Thomas Road, West Monroe, LA, we will never stay there and will not recommend this place to anyone. When I did complain about all of this to the owner, his reaction was for us to just deal with it.

Booked a reservation at this hotel back in December 2016 for a stay in April 2014 for an event that we do each year at this time. I have stayed at this hotel for the last five years and never had any problems or complaints. The hotel was previous a Comfort Suite Hotel but changed hands to a Best Western. At the time of making the reservation was quoted a price of $79.95 a night. Upon arrival the price had been changed by the (New Owner?) to $79.95 one night and the next two nights $118.95. With my bill totaling $360.00 for 3 nights. To make the matter even worse the room was moldy, had a horrible odor like the carpet had been wet and mildewed. The air that was coming out of the AC had a bad smell. I reported it several times and an attempt was made to eliminate the smell with no success.

I can honestly say that the staff was very nice all but the owner who refused to adjust the price. He argued that I had never received a room at that price in the past. Even though I had a receipt for the previous year when it was a Comfort Suite showing the price of $68.00 a night with a total for the three nights $234.09. All hotels in the area were booked so I had no choice but to pay the price. After this horrible experience with this hotel, the owner and the stench I will of course never stay in this Hotel again. Needless to say I don't know that I will ever stay in another Best Western Hotel again. It is bad business to change a price for a room you had booked months in advance at a previous price. My recommendation to anyone is to never stay at this Hotel.

That never occurred. In fact, she did not contact us for the remainder of our stay (4/14-4/17). We asked her how were we going to be compensated for our trouble. First, the manager she talked to acted like he didn't believe the sheets had already been Used. Kayla, was wonderful and told us the sheets were not acceptable. She told us the manager had had complaints before about used sheets. It was dark when I checked in so I did not see the parking lot full or trash etc., out there. This parking lot was being used as the staging area for major construction and renovation of this motel. I was awakened just after 8:00AM to skill saws literally 15 feet from my door! The room should have never been rented out due to the very up close proximity of the construction staging area. I drove all night from up North to get there so was exhausted.

Asked Courtney at the front for a room change and she told me I would have to pack up my things from the room and check back in with her later to see if another room might be available when I came back?? When I told her about how bad the noise and trashy area was her response was no one has complained be before about it. In other words you are just being a complainer. No other solution was offered. Just "I'm sorry" if I heard this once. I heard it 25 times.

Came back later to nap for an hour and there was loud music at the pool. 2 weddings were booked for this small property. I could not rest again because of construction and loud music. That night things got more out of control. Drunk people from wedding party falling against my door and yelling in the hallways. Again security did nothing to get the situation under control. I called the desk and got another "I'm sorry"??? It's 4:30AM now, still no sleep. I was about in tears because of all the chaos and no one doing anything about it so I went to the front desk and begged them to please have someone do something. I was told again security would check. Nothing changed. People were allowed to run amuck!! The hotel staff did nothing to compensate me for this nightmare of a stay. I paid $415 for pure sleepless torture. Do not stay here. It is a ghetto motel. I have never experienced such a lack of unprofessionalism.

There has been nothing whatsoever done for my inconvenience or for the filthy room, and another fun fact. This was an outside access hotel... like a motel but there was no mention or photos advising this. I had to stay in overnIght at this Best Western 2/24/17. I took photos of the dead bugs, cobwebs in the doorway, used tissue behind the center table from the previous guest, hair and stains on both beds. We were advised there was no cleaning staff available until the next morning and they gave us clean sheets.

When the morning came on 2/25/17 around 9:30 am the hotel staff came around to each room advising the hotel was closing due to a sewage backup. We had to pack up our things and find another hotel for the next 3 days of our stay... on Mardi Gras weekend. Then we had to pack all of our things nightly and shuffle between three different hotels, because of the backup of sewage at the Best Western. There was no "walk the guest" compensation.... nothing but a "Wham, bam, thank you Ma'am." We spent the entire morning 2/25/17 attempt to find other hotels for our stay because your hotel was closing because of the sewage backup on Mardi Gras weekend, so overwhelming, they didn't even help us find alternative lodging. I booked a 3 night stay at a local hotel for my mom and her husband while their house was exterminated for termites. I used priceline.com in hopes of getting a slight discount. I received a great deal (about 50% less than regular rate). The savings were applied to the cost of replacing her rear window. Her car was broken into and robbed on her second night stay at the Best Western Hotel in Salinas, Ca. If your car is broken into and items are stolen the hotel says "too bad" - at least thats what the Best Western in Salinas, Ca says.

After doing some research, it turns out the exact same crime has occurred at this Best Western hotel as recently as 3 months ago (entire rear window smashed with big rock, items stolen while parked at Best Westerns Guest parking lot). Surveillance video captured all of it - but we, the hotels guests - are 100% responsible for what happens to our property while staying with them (we have full coverage auto insurance but they only cover a small percentage of the cost of buying and installing a new window for a 2016 Nissan Pathfinder - total we paid out of pocket for vehicle repair was a little over $500 (not including what was stolen).

The car was broken into at 6:07 am. My mother discovered the break in at 8:30-ish am. The car had a Best Western parking permit with valid i.d. # on the dash as instructed, yet the hotel did not inform her at all about her car. The morning shift replaced the night shift during this time as well. The morning shift couldnt find any notes from the night shift regarding the incident. One employee (who my mom thought was security) told her the window was probably broken by a couple who had been "fighting" in the parking lot early in the morning.

Best Western failed to assess and handle a situation they acknowledged being aware of. Best Western failed at logging any of this situation. Best Western did not contact the Police nor did they contact their guest (my mother). Best Western has had vehicle break ins executed almost identical if not fully identical to this one in the past, one as recent as 3 months ago.

Best Western states they provide "Sufficient care" for their guests' personal property but are not liable for stolen and/or damaged property belonging to their guests. They should be fully liable based on negligence. They did not tell us they do not have any security. They did not inform us of any prior break ins in their parking lot. They did not have any warning signs in their parking lot regarding the safety of guest vehicles or leaving property inside vehicles other than the permit stating Best Western provides "sufficient care". I would like Best Western to define "sufficient care" because it is obvious there is zero care. Salinas, Ca is notorious for its high crime rates.

One would think a well known Hotel name like Best Western has proper security for the protection of each paying guest and their property. Thinking they do is a big mistake. The negligence on behalf of Best Western can seemingly point to an inside job. I booked my mothers room through PriceLine.com for one heck of a discounted rate. It might sound a little crazy but what are the odds this is entirely an inside job? The odds are not as crazy as they might seem to be given the fact at least one employee stated he knew about a fight between a couple in the parking lot but chose to ignore the situation entirely. I think the hotel should've paid the cost of repairing the car so I am seeking a lawyer.

There of course was nothing to see but they said they had to listen to the hotel and watched us pack. I have never ever had a problem with any hotels ever! This is unbelievable. I am in shock! Very bad experience. In the first time in my life I face this in a hotel!! I booked 5 nights in Best Western Plus-Dubai (4 rated stars) and I called internationally 2 days before my arrival date and confirmed my reservation and got the confirmation numbers. I sent 3 emails to the hotel asking for detailed booking information. Nobody answered me. When I arrived there, the woman on the counter told me, "Sorry we have no vacant rooms" and we have to stay this night in another near hotel they own. Then we could be transferred to Best Western again the 2nd day. She gave me no choice but saying ok. When I went to the other hotel (El Khaleej) I found it horrible. Bad smell everywhere, restrooms are awful unclean, smelly beddings. Each room supposed to have a kettle and cups. Mine didn't have any and when I asked for them the man of the customer service gave me dirty kettle and dirty cups telling me "You go clean."

This the worst hotel experience in my life. When I tried to talk to Best Western again to solve this problem and at least book me this night in another same standards hotel, they said, "Sorry we couldn't find any rooms in any Dubai hotel!!" Could you imagine this?? I mean all Dubai rooms are booked!! Are you kidding me. I am very upset that I decided to not to stay ever again in any Best Western hotel although I used to do and used to prefer it but this time made me change my opinion and of course I'll tell all my friends and colleagues about it and never ever recommend it to anybody.

Booked a reservation at Best Western Plus in Rancho Cucamonga California several weeks in advance. After a 7 hr drive we arrived and checked in. We went to our room to find that it was not what we reserved. We were given a room with no bathtub which is necessary for us when traveling as we have back problems and soaking in a hot tub before retiring for the evening helps with chronic pain issues. We told front desk room was not what we reserved and that we needed a room with a bath tub. We were told "sorry, we're sold out, maybe tomorrow we'll have one". We returned to our room, not happy but we were exhausted and needed rest. While unpacking I went to move the coverlet from the foot of the bed and saw what clearly were dried, milky white remnants of bodily fluids from prior guests. DISGUSTING!!

I took photos and called the front desk again and complained that the room was not clean and demanded a new room. Again we were told "we know you want another room but we're sold out, maybe tomorrow. You booked with Expedia, you have a problem, contact them!!!" What!?? What difference does it make who we booked with? Expedia is not responsible for the condition or type of room. The Best Western employee was rude to their guest and after we complained to Expedia reservation service, they called Best Western and experienced the same RUDENESS from the front desk. Never again. We are reward members but clearly this corporation has gone to the pigs.

We had to get other rooms and no adjoining as we had paid for. We are put at opposite ends of hall. Customer service rep was argumentative. The clerk did not read American English well enough as well as refused to discount during May with graduations and their mess up was really impossible because this was already a prepaid reservation and we lost one room and end up still pay for it but not have enough space for all so we had to play camping trip and three to a bed. I was not so sure this was fair.

The air conditioner was moldy and the towels stain grey like dirt - not all washed out. There was running water and tissue but no extra towels allowed. Water temperature was tepid and the toilets run non stop so too. The sheets were all flat and slid off the bed too easily yet no one was messing things up simply laying on top of sheets. We can't let little ones down on any of this area so add bugs or roaches and really odd way of hospitality and we will not use that hotel chain again.

We came here thinking being close to Sonora, the mountains, enjoy the close Casinos that are nearby, and we come across not only being accused for missing sheets, but also get an early call that we had torn the comforter. Which we did not tear no comforter. And would have been appreciated the manager Jody to take care of a situation like that, but was never available or on site. Then we have to go down to the front desk about 8 times to get our keys reactivated.

Not only we go out to the casino and when we come back at 4 am we are locked out By a TRISH. Reactivating our key for only one use, since the other keys that weren't working were in our room. We and personally I have never been treated with so much sarcasm and humiliation, EVER in a hotel. We pay to be here. This Trish and Cathy have a job because of people like us, that rent these rooms, to be able to relax and get away for a weekend from our problems. Otherwise with the customer service they provide, they would be working at McDonald's or not have a job, with the attitude they treat. TRISH laughed at our face where we were so upset, and even threw the bill in our face. That is degrading and humiliating. The corporate office will receive a complaint from us. I was not told that the reservation was not cancellable and I had no reason to assume it wasn't since all the other hotels I stayed at allowed cancellations up to 4 or 6 pm the same day. A couple of hours later during a rest stop I viewed a satellite image of the hotel and saw that I would have more trouble getting in and out of it (I was towing a car carrier) than the hotel next door. I called to cancel the reservation and was rather abruptly told that the it would be taken care of. After arriving at my destination I found that my credit card had been charged. I called the manager of the hotel and got completely stonewalled, saying it wouldn't have mattered if I called or not since there was a 24 hour cancellation policy.

So in this tiny one-horse town they're charging me for a no-show as if they had to turn away lines of people who would have taken the room. Undoubtedly, the hotel wasn't even half full that night. I'm disputing the charge, and I'm also advising all my relatives and friends to NEVER stay at a Best Western again if they can possibly avoid doing so. I certainly will be following my own advice.

I and other friends travel often and it is different states and on occasions we have used BW hotels. This past week we stayed at one in McPherson KS and everything about it was unsettling. To start there was activity at all hours of night and day and it appeared to be a front for either drug activity or shuttling illegals because of the odd activity and at all hours. The so called maintenance persons were there round the clock and the same 3 and all acted as if on something. The first night my friends on the 1st floor with two door to the outside had someone try to break into their room and would have succeeded had it not been for the safety chain installed on both.

They had used the "dead bolt" on both doors and I said that it would have been impossible for a lock with the internal dead bolt secured to be released with a "PASS KEY". Turns out I was wrong. It is called a "emergency key". It in fact can release the electronic door latch and the mechanical dead bolt. Management spoke to them and said they would look at the security cameras and get back to them. We all walked the property and found a grand total of 4 exterior cameras and lord knows if they all even work. The people working there are either many illegals or there is just a lot of people who come in from the exterior door into the dining area and eat and go and I have my suspicions they were not staying at the hotel.

My room was a 2nd floor and there was such poor wireless internet. I had to go outside on the balcony to get internet connections. My room had missing ceiling tiles and the 4 pillows were as hard a bricks and were so uncomfortable. The cleaning people had a large roll away rack sort of cart they used to go to room to room but the slop like coffee, soda, and whatever liquid dripped out from this wagon and left sticky messy spots on the landing of the balcony. When the chairs were turned over on the table in the dining area when you grabbed them to upright them they were so sticky and dirty your hand stuck to the filth.

I checked in at the Best Western Plus New Englander in Woburn, MA on August 25, 2016. When I arrived, the hotel was undergoing a major renovation and the second and third floor were still under construction. Their computer system was down, and I had to wait in the lobby for 45 minutes before I was manually checked in. I was assigned room 412, where I proceeded to unpack my suitcase and carry on luggage. Later on that evening, there was a power outage in my room, so I was transferred to room 514. Unfortunately for me, while moving my stuff in the dark, I left a pair of sandals in the room and reported it to the front desk in the morning. I was told they will check with housekeeping and get back to me later.

I kept checking with the front desk for the rest of my stay, and never recovered my sandals. I made several calls to the hotel, but did not get any response. Sent an Email to the corporate office and never got a response. I finally decided to call the customer care number after six weeks, and was told that the hotel is not responsible for my missing Item. Instead of investigating their housekeeping staff, I was told file a complaint to the police for an investigation. The front desk never advised me to file a police report, neither did they tell me that they were not responsible for my sandals. They gave me the run around until I checked out on August 28, 2016.

My conclusion is that this hotel's housekeeping staff is very dishonest with a criminal mindset. The housekeeping employee that was responsible for cleaning that room knows exactly what happened to my sandals. They did not even factor in the inconvenience of moving all my stuff in the dark. Instead I'm been victimized for their incompetence. I will never use a Best Western hotel again.

Direct booking was $40 better than the best rate from internet sites. Best pet friendly package ever. In room amenities were as expected, towels, coffee, pillows, HVAC, toiletries. This is not luxury. Clean and neat. Fabulous restaurant on site except not open on Sunday. We have a small dog and appreciate the doggie bucket of treats etc. as well the bucket is a great water bowl (you don't get to keep the bucket). We stay here every year on our way to AZ.

I broke my hand from a Murphy bed falling on it. I had to go to the emergency room and got casted and they made believe they have no insurance to cover my medical costs. I hired an attorney which was of course friends with the owner. In these small towns everyone knows each other. No one should ever go to this Best Western. It should be known as the Worst Western. The murphy bed was not properly installed and when I tried to bring it out of the wall it just fell right onto my left hand.

My wife and I spent a night at the Best Western Plus hotel in Plattsburgh, NY. More precisely the Inn at Smithfield, 446 Route 3 Plattsburgh, NY, on September 10th 2016. While my wife was taking a shower (in tub shower), I heard her falling in the tub. I rushed in the bathroom to help her out and as she explained and that I was able to witness, there are no hand rail or other mean to hold on to. The bathtub bottom gets very slippery when wet and soapy as there are no anti-slip strips and not even a single towel bar. She hit her head and shoulder very hard on the ceramic tile wall and the bathtub edge. She could have died... This is a serious life threatening problem and I will escalate the case to the hotel management and the chain management as well. Watch out if you ever stay there.

We went on vacation at the end of July, and were told we would get a $50 Visa gift card within 6 weeks of our 2nd stay as long as we stayed in 2 different cities within the first 30 days of our membership. We could have stayed at a cheaper hotel (there were several that were cheaper and in better condition than the one in the second city), but we chose to stay there due to what we had been told. We still had not received the gift card, so we called customer service tonight.

We were told that we were never told it was a gift card, rather it was $50 off of another stay, which we did not need at all. He also told us that we had already received confirmation of this on August 9th, which was only 9 days after our 2nd stay, so I went back and double checked my email. Surprise! I did not find the email he referred to, only an advertisement for different cities you can go visit. He was very rude, and implied that we "misunderstood" what she said. I believe it is extremely hard to "misunderstand" when the words are as vastly different as "Visa" and "$50 off of your next stay at Best Western". Also, as many others have stated the breakfast was horrible in the second hotel, and our non-smoking room reeked of cigarette smoke. I am allergic to cigarette smoke, but they did not have any empty rooms available. We will not be staying at Best Western again due to horrible customer service.

I stayed at the Best Western in Las Vegas, New Mexico. I checked in & went to bed as it was very late when I arrived. The next morning I noticed a dirty sock on the floor and crumbs on the table. I checked out and left the hotel. The next week, I received my credit card statement which showed two charges from Best Western. One for the room charge and another for $500. I contacted Best Western and asked them about the $500 charge. I was told it was for smoking in the room. I am a non-smoker and have never smoked in my life! I spoke to the Assistant Manager and she was absolutely awful and of no help. She possessed no customer service skills whatsoever. It's sad that Best Western has to make up charges to pass on to their customers to make a buck. It was the worst, and last experience I will have with Best Western as I will never stay there again.

I have stayed in this hotel numerous times and request a nonsmoking room. On this particular visit, I discovered a cup filled with cigarette butts in the hallway on my floor. I brought the cup to the front desk and reported what I had found. I was asked by the young man at the desk which room I was staying in. I told him my room number. The Tuesday after my departure I find that my credit card has been charged $244 by the hotel. I call and ask for a manager. Hours later, I receive a call from "Shelby" who informs me that it is a cleaning charge for smoking in a nonsmoking room. I explain that I request nonsmoking rooms for a reason; this is not my first stay at this hotel and I did not smoke in this room.

I explain that I reported that smoking was taking place on the floor. I ask, "How did you learn that smoking was taking place my particular room? Where is the proof that I was smoking? Is there damage or a smell associated with this particular room"? Shelby does not have the answer to these questions and will talk to maid service and get back to me. She calls me back to inform me that she must take the maid service's "word for it" and will not be reimbursing the $244 charge. Take their word for it!?!? You charge someone $244 based on hearsay?!?

Shelby was very good; she knew her dialogue well and never strayed from the scripted responses. Perhaps she should have training in customer relations. Perhaps she should review hotel records, note previous stays and based on that information, take the guest's “word for it.” I am appalled that they would charge a guest an amount of such magnitude without any evidence to support that charge. Somebody was smoking on that floor and it certainly wasn't me. I would sincerely hope that they would not charge me to clean up someone else's mess. A COMPLETE RIP OFF!

We made reservation with priceline.com. When we got to the hotel our reservation was there but not the money. We paid everything through Priceline. They told us they would not let us stay without a credit card. We gave them the same credit card and charged us again. When I got to my room I checked my credit card and found I was charged double. When I went downstairs the manager would not refund us the money. After arguing for about an hour I called Priceline customer service. They wanted to talk to manager which he refused to talk to them on the phone. Finally after an hour and 1/2 the money came in by Priceline. That happened on Friday night.

Today is Tuesday still no money in back. Just called customer service which they didn't care, did not even say "We would refund you back right away" or "I'll look into it." Just said sorry and "Can I help you with anything else?" Never again would I stay at Best Western and will always talk to people about that bad experience. Have stayed all over hotels. I do travel a lot. Never Best Western. Especially after talking to their customer service. Terrible experience which I'm still living. Still on vacation.

My experience was terrible. 1st we get there and our room smelled like smoke in non-smoking room but the front desk lady was very professional about the whole situation and quickly got us another room. It was late so we went to bed although this room smelled of mold. Seemed like it was coming from the air conditioning unit so we cut it off. However when we saw the bathroom in the morning, it was horrible. The walls look nasty, mold on the top of ceiling in corners, and paint peeling. Walls look like water had flooded down them from upstairs, also refrigerator was molded on the outside seals.

I quickly told front desk we were checking out and to cancel my room and the room I had gotten for my sister. The front desk complied with me and gave us $13.00 discount which I truly feel it should have been more, but my husband and I said our health is worth more. Will never go back there again when I have to go visit my family again! VERY VERY DISSATISFIED!!! I did take pictures on my cell but unfortunately can't load them right now. Sending this per tablet.

I stayed at the Best Western Center Inn in Virginia Beach for a family vacation. I paid cash for my stay at the hotel because I was skeptical I would receive unauthorized charges to by bank card. When we checked the lady was very pleasant and polite. Then everything went downhill from there! The room had a weird smell I figured out exactly where the smell was coming from. I sprayed it down with Lysol and told the front desk they had the housekeeper come in while we were out. Then I realized that the refrigerator was not cooling at all. I went back to the to the front desk and they send the maintenance guy there in the night. He was unable to fix the fridge until the next day. So I got ice and place all our beverages in our cooler. The stand where the fridge was in still smelled like spoiled food and mildew. We dealt with it because the front desk did everything they can at that time. They were respectful and understanding.

The next day we went for breakfast but it was not as they advertise on the website. The egg omelet was hard with some red meaty sauce on the inside, only one yogurt, stale pastry (very limited choices), waffle, 3 cereal options, coffee, orange juice and hot chocolate. I asked if they had just plain eggs I was told no that is what they are serving today and it was actually ham and I do not eat pork. I was not pleased with the breakfast so we went somewhere else.

After being out all day when we got back to the room it smelled bad but I thought well they change the fridge out and the stand so it was probably just a lingering smell. The next day we check what was there for breakfast and went somewhere else. We could have stayed somewhere else for less but it did not include breakfast!

We came back later that night we couldn't even stay in the room for more than 5 mins. I was back at the front desk complaining. They moved my family and I to another room right next door. I took my son to the pool after we moved to the next room. About an hour later I saw my mother frantic calling my name, some guy walked into our room right as she was getting undressed. I went back to the front desk. I was told that they forget to change the room over on both systems. The guy who walked in daughter was in the lobby kept on apologizing to my mother. But it was not their fault!

At this time I had enough. The next day at check out I spoke with the supervisor for that shift. I was unpleased with her offer for compensation. I went back after she was trying to see what she can do to satisfy me she became sassy. Stating I was outside tell their guest about my experience and that I should not be doing that and she WAS going to help me. The way she spoke to me was like she was scolding her child and kept on talking about I should not had said anything because it's bad for business. Then she rolled her eyes when I told her that I can speak to whoever I please!!! She rolled her eyes and that pissed me off and I said something to her. She blatantly told me to "fib" on her. Now she is calling me a liar!

The funny part of it, the lady I was talking to outside advised me to go to the office and call their HQ. They had a problem last year and advised me on what to do to report my issues. I was just going to leave and never go to a BEST WESTERN EVER AGAIN. Even their housekeeper was talking to us and she could not find what was causing the smell and the black mold in the room. They were airing out the room for hours just because of the smell. The HQ was no help. All they did was apologize and said that the hotel manager will call me in 7 days. We checked out on 8/9/16 and it's 8/22/16 I have not heard from them.

My family was staying at a Best Western in Boca Raton the week of August 6, 2016. As most of the world already knows, my wife and daughter were attacked by a former N.F.L. Oakland Raider player. The hotel knew he was staying there for three months but didn't inform any of its guest about the man's history of drugs and physical abuse. I will give the staff credit for calling the police and seeing if everyone was ok.

The reason I'm writing this review is to show how cold and unprofessional the hotel was the day after (we couldn't even get towels to our room, for heaven's sake). It's been over two weeks now and we haven't even heard from the owners or an upper manger, just to see how we were. Goes to show that they are responsible for the behavior of certain people staying with them and afraid of the legal action if they say sorry... because that would admit to guilt. All they had to do was reach out and say "how you doing"... they rather have these types of reviews. Good luck keeping a business like that. Never again for my friends and family and anyone else we can tell.

From there on I always showed them my card and they would take it and said that it went through. I stayed in five different Best Western from when I received my card and they all said the same thing. I have received my points!

When I finally went online to my account to check I received nothing! I email them and told them about it. All they said was that they can't give me my points if it's past 30 days. I am very upset because they should be able to give me my points for staying at their hotels. I did my part on giving them my card. It was the hotel's fault for lying to me. I would think that Best Western International Inc, would justify and honor it by giving me my points for staying those nights, but they won't. I was told to "DOUBLE CHECK" for my points whenever I stay with Best Western. I might as well give me my own damn points rather than have the hotel personnel do it. We made a reservation 4 months prior to the reserved date. Apparently Best Western sends you one confirmation the day you book the room, but nothing after that. So from April to July 29th, we hadn't received one single confirmation or reminder email. I didn't even know we had a reservation there until I was checking my bank account one day that I noticed a charge of $134 from a Best Western in Dinuba. I thought my credit card had been stolen!

Since we use to stay at Best Westerns all the time, I had to do some digging and finally checked the BW website that I found out we had booked a room for that hotel 4 months ago. If you have a family with kids and full time careers, you tend to forget things you did online 4 months ago. Anyways, I thought I would call the BW corporate customer care phone number that's on their website. Well, 2 different agents told me they can't do anything and have no control over billing or refunds or charges. They leave it completely up to the hotel manager. What?!

So I call the hotel and politely ask for a manager, the guy who answered the phone says "Nobody's here." Then when I bring up my issue, he then admits that he knows the whole situation and that he's not going to refund me anything. He was extremely rude. He said he could offer me half off a future stay at their hotel. Well that's not going to do anything for us because we're NEVER staying at a BW hotel again if that's how the corporate office handles customer issues.

I tried to contact general customer service bc I have EVERYTHING in writing but was told, I stayed so I had to pay. My printed documentation meant nothing and my card was charged almost double. They told me at the desk that they would never charge my card to hold a room so I need to pay at check-in which I did... again. Then 10 minutes in my room front desk calls me to tell me my cards declined which is impossible because I have funds in my account. So, now I have to take time away from getting ready to call my bank which said that transaction never went through, which means front desk messed up... again!

I go back to front desk. The woman tells me I'll be charged $140.73 if I have to pay with cash but my card went through, turns out the girl up front didn't know how to do it. I understand if someone's training that's fine but when they keep flip flopping on the policies makes me not trust them. I should be able to just check in and go about my business - in this case it was more time consuming than it needed to be. Oh and the mattress is horrible and the room had a stale musk smell so I won't be returning for a second time. I rather wait in traffic than deal with all this again!!!

Finally, after few weeks, Best Western made me an offer. Not the hotel but Best Western company itself. So if you have a problem with a hotel and the manager does nothing for you, send your complaint to Best Western directly. If you disagree with the offer don't be shy and ask for something you're satisfied with. Best Western offered me $35 on my next stay. I refused and they offered $100 which is a lot better and appreciated. So I want to thank Best Western (but not the Capuleti Best Western in Verona (Italia) which is not a hotel to stay).

    Original Review: July 18, 2016

If you are in Verona, do not stay at the hotel Best Western Capuleti. Beware of good comments. Although the room is beautiful and spacious, the fact remains that the walls are made of cardboard and you can hear everything that comes from other rooms. So when your neighbor gets up at 6 am, you are awake too. People at reception really didnt care of the problem and just apologized, no move was made... just sorry. When you pay 150 euros a night you are waiting for a good value for your money.

Back home, I reached the Best Western customer service. At the end, the hotel said, "We cannot make a refund, partial or complete, because it's a past reservation". For sure, they did nothing when I was at the front desk. Can you believe it? If they want to do it, sure they can do it, making a refund on a credit card is so simple. Stay away from this hotel and find another one where the owners take care of your comfort first and your money after.

I am sending a copy of my review that I sent to Tripadvisor. The hotel is really nice especially staff. We would specially like to thank to the general manager Mr. Gregor ** and the manager of the restaurant Slon 1552. We would like to thank to wonderful staff for making our stay in Slovenia memorable every time we come. Staying here for a week or two once or twice a year is our favourite time of a year. I believe you cannot find a better four star hotel in Europe than Slon. Kindness and hospitality are a trademark of Slovenia but in Slon you can experience more than that. We always stay in the corner SUITE that is very large and consists of bedroom and separate living room, each one with a television. There are two tables, a desk, a counter for coffee time, a sofa bed and many places to sit; big enough to have a big party!

Because of many big windows the room is very bright. It's soundproofed and has a nice balcony with a table and chairs and a nice view of the castle as well as Slovenska cesta with Neboticnik and the Jakopic promenade towards the Tivoli park. There is a turn-down service when they leave a cute chocolate in shape of the elephant and a weather information for the next day on the bed. It's a nice feeling when you return to the room in late afternoon or evening and find somebody was thinking about you. BED can't be better. We stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels around the world and I can say the bed and linen can be compared only with luxurious five star The Palace Downtown Dubai. My dream is to stay in this bed all day long. Really amazing! BATHROOM is big, very convenient and has two sinks and a lot of place to put own things, a variety of L'Occitane amenities, a magnifying mirror and a stool.

It is difficult to find even a five star hotel with so many kinds of bath amenities. My favourite were bath foam, mouth wash and a lavender pillow mist. The towels are very big and of very good quality. BREAKFAST is from 6:00 to 11:00; convenient for early businessman as well as for slow vacationers. It's really extensive buffet breakfast with many varieties of fruit, bread, sweets, ham, cheese, wonderful salads with some hot dishes, cereals and among wonderful drinks like freshly squeezed juices and smoothies, delicious Italian espresso there is also sparkling wine. While some hotels (even five star) just put eg. a plate of a mountain of ham (if you are lucky a mountain of vegetables), the other serve few things neatly, Slon serves breakfast excellently: there are many dishes that need a lot of work to make and they are served neatly with elegancy so that attract the guests eyes.

Their purpose is not to raise the price of the rooms with included breakfast but to satisfy guests and make their happy start of a day. We really enjoy rich breakfast and it is enough for our main meal of the day. Wonderful BED, rich BREAKFAST and extremely kind STAFF make your day. LOCATION can't be better. All attractions are near, Three Bridges and Open Market are just a few meters away, the central post office and NAMA department store with food floor is just across the street. The old town, Tivoli park, everything is just few meters away. There is a city bus station just a few steps from the hotel and the central bus and railway stations are about 500m away.

For STAFF of the hotel, I really can't find words to explain. They all are very kind, understandable, helpful, accurate and hospitable. One of my reasons to go to Slovenia is to stay in this wonderful hotel and to meet its staff. I would like to thank all staff for making our holidays in Slovenia pleasant; specially to Milica who takes care of us at breakfast, specially kind and generous Aleksander at the reception, very kind and polite Rajko at the restaurant who put the "umami" to wonderful dishes with his elegant serving and introducing artistic dishes, Mr. ** and of course to the star that shines above these stars and make the hotel the greatest one in Slovenia, the general manager, Mr. Gregor **. I have heard from many staff how thankful they are to their manager for their progress and that all make a wonderful team and wonderful hotel.

I am happy and proud of being a guest of such a wonderful hotel. If you want to enjoy your holidays or business trip and stay in a nice hotel with nice people, then the best place in Slovenia is hotel Slon. The hotel will make you love not only hotel but also Ljubljana. While writing this review I've just heard news about terrorist attack in Nice that happened near my favorite hotel In Nice, hotel Negresco. It reminds me of very important matter when we travel - SECURITY. It is very important to stay in hotels with high security and insurance for guests and this is what Slon offers to his guests. I would never stay in a small, less than four star hotel mostly because of security! It is important to think also about tomorrow not only today.

Absolutely, the worst and nastiest hotel experience I have ever had. We arrived in Snyder at 1 am, exhausted. Check-in was pleasant and Rachel was friendly. But, upon walking into our room, we were greeted by hundreds of dead bugs all over the room! If it hadn't been so late, we would have quickly exited and gone across the street to the Holiday Inn Express. Instead, we spent an hour picking up dead bugs because we were desperate to get some sleep. As we picked up the bug carcasses, we noticed a lot of dirt and filth around the baseboards. If they had vacuumed recently, they sure as hell didn't do a very good job.

As I laid in the bed, it took me a while to fall asleep because I couldn't stop itching. (Hopefully, it was just in my head, and the bed wasn't full of bed bugs... So far, no bites on my skin as of the next day.) The next morning, upon checkout, we asked to speak to the manager. We tried to share our experience, but she wouldn't even let us finish a single sentence. Regarding the bugs, she said, "yeah, that's Snyder and there's nothing we can do about it". We asked for a refund and got 20 bucks off. Bottom line: if you like sleeping in filth, go here. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

On 3/1/16 I traveled to Vallejo, Ca to have warranty work done on my car which I was not able to accomplish until the next day. I stayed at Best Western Cordelia Inn in Fairfield, Ca. went to the Best Western Lobby the next morning 3/2/16 and retrieved my receipt. Had the needed work done on car 3/2/16 and went on my merry way. My problem is that as my wife was cleaning out the car the other day when she came upon my Best Western receipt and lo and behold the receipt states that there were 2 guests. There was only 1 "myself". Needless to say she is not happy and my marriage is in the balance.

How could anyone explain this and sound believable? Most importantly how could my wife believe I was capable of this? But she does and I am at a loss to explain it. If you think about it should I had actually done this my defence would be the same as if I had not done this which I did not. I spoke with a Best Western employee this morning and was told that their computer arbitrarily list the room as having 2 occupants. If this is correct Best Western needs to fix this problem. I would think that at $95.00 a night they could get their paperwork right.

When we return are card key does not work, then I notice a note on the door that says "come to front desk". We go down there to find out that they gave us the wrong room and that they let the other people into the room where our phones, camera, truck keys and my purse was in. The threw all our things on to a cart and took it to the lobby. I found some of our things in my purse which means someone was in my purse. At 7pm we get into our room with our now cold dinner. Then at 1am fire alarm goes off. NO STAFF to be found and we were on the 5th floor helping 2 ladies who had canes to get down and outside... False alarm. OH, we got a free breakfast.

She acted like she was disgusted with her job. She wasn't very polite and she never did return our blanket to us all night.

The front desk clerk was very unpolite. Also he was very short with us on any questions that we had. He wasn't very helpful at all. As me and my friends had seen other housekeepers we had wished we got the other ones because they were very polite. They spoke to us when we passed. If I stay again I will suggest different housekeeper. The room was very clean and great food and beautiful scenery.

I booked our trip through Expedia. It showed us a lobby and the rooms. I did not do my homework well. When we showed up, all we saw were people hanging over the railings of an exterior walk up. Had I known this I would never have booked this place. In Asheville NC, you must have a reservation, without one you will be sleeping in your car. I was unhappy to say the least and the girl at the front desk treated us with total disdain. I am sure rude was her middle name. We stayed because we had no choice, college orientation was the next day. It was very clean and there was no evidence of any type of infestation. But on our last day there we returned to our room with some takeout to find someone had been there. The furniture had been rearranged and the small table and chairs had been removed and a recliner put in its place! We were horrified. Our things had been moved also.

I went to the front desk and they confirmed they had been in the room because they were still redecorating and were not done. I informed them that it was inexcusable to enter our room to rearrange our belongings on top of the furniture too. I asked the manager "who moved the furniture?" She said maintenance. I asked if she supervised this and she said no. Did they prop the door wide open and leave it that way during the process? How do I know that someone else didn't access the room?

I Will never stay at a Best Western again! To violate our privacy like that is severely disturbing. Fortunately we are leaving in a few hours because I didn't exactly feel safe to begin with but now know this not a safe and secure location for travelers. Best Western, 501 Tunnel Rd Asheville NC. Avoid this one people. They will take liberties that are just not acceptable in any way at shape or form.

The manager, Nacho ** and his assistant Tiffany, are dishonest. When I stayed there on the nights of June 3 and June 4, 2016, I was carrying a large amount of cash and thus requested that they keep the custodians out of my room (there was no "Do not disturb sign" available in the room for me to post on the door, perhaps by design), which they assured me they would do. However, when I returned from my morning tasks, I discovered that, contrary to my explicit request, my room had been entered by their housekeeping staff and cleaned off $100 in cash.

In response to my complaint, the manager and assistant manager claimed that I could not prove that the money was stolen and cited the rental agreement, which, in any case, states (conveniently for them) that they are not responsible for lost or stolen goods, even, apparently, when stolen by their own staff through their own incompetent or criminal administrative procedures. They refused to address either the theft by their own employees or their fraudulent promise to keep their staff out of my room, informing me that there was nothing they could do because I could not prove the money had been stolen. Their nonresponse conveniently ignored the fact that it was their failure to do what they said they would do and what guests of any honest hotel/motel can and should be able to expect (keep housekeepers out of their rooms) that resulted in the theft in the first place. These people are running a racket rather than a legitimate business.

Had reservations for two nights at Best Western Plus in Lake Charles, LA. The baseball team we had gone to watch won on Friday and were scheduled to play Saturday evening. Friday night asked desk clerk if I could extend my stay until Sunday morning. She looked on computer and said "your checkout time is 11 am Sunday."

Returned Saturday night to find card would not unlock door. Went down to front desk and informed clerk. She made us two more cards, went up to room and went in. Our things were gone and there were other people in room. Went back to desk to ask where our things were. She found them in office. I asked "why did you do this" and was informed I was to have checked out that day. I said "no. I had extended my stay till Sunday and who the hell leaves their belongings? Why did you not call me?" They had my cell #?

She called the manager and we were given another room. My mother and I went through our things and discovered that my 5 month old Kindle Fire was not there. Also a jacket was missing, plus our food and drinks that were obviously thrown out. My mother called the manager who apologized for the mix up and said she would speak with me Sunday morning.

Sunday morning the manager was very rude and a smart ass. I said "so I suppose I need to call the police" and she said it would do me no good. They are not responsible for missing items in their hotel. I said "so if you stay in a Best Western and your things are stolen, too bad?" She said, "I don't know that it was stolen", and I replied "so you're saying I'm a liar?" She then stated, "I don't know you had that item. Our maintenance man went in that room before the maids and said he saw no device there. He found your jacket on the maid's cart and took it to maids room." Really??

I was reimbursed 30 dollars for the food and told to go on my way. They were doing nothing else. I made several calls to the corporate office and their final word was there was nothing else they could do. I was also told that you can stay at their hotels and if something is stolen or missing it is not their responsibility. As far as the mix up they can do whatever they like with your personal belongings. I will NEVER stay in another Best Western and I will be checking other hotels about their policies.

My experience with Best Western hotels Gardena has been a tragedy today 5/13/16 5/14/16. Upon calling to verify if a room was available, Eduardo answered and I inquired about availability. Ray the manager was in the background screaming and listening to the conversation. I asked if they had rooms available and I was immediately told that they were sold out. I was simultaneously online and was able to make a reservation for today. Upon arrival they stated that the only rooms they had left was 4 accessible rooms.

After a long evening I awoke around 3:00 a.m. seeking out use of the microwave that was supposed to be in my room, especially at a rate of $150/night. I was surprised to find that the microwave was missing. I called down to the lobby and Bilal answered being very rude and obnoxious. I informed Bilal that I was wondering why I did not have a microwave. Bilal said he did not know and he'd have to send someone up in the morning to take a look. I said this is unacceptable and asked for additional information to include the name and contact for the property manager in which he said it was Ray or Alex. I asked for the name of the district manager and Bilal states he doesn't have that information. I then inquired about the number to corporate and again Bilal was unable to provide that information.

By then I was highly upset, irritated and hungry. I informed Bilal of my current stance and he said that he'd call the police to have me put out. I asked that he please call the police so that I could leave with my refund of the room including my room deposit. Bilal became irate and said that he would put me out at 3:00 a.m. in the morning. This is not sufficient customer service and I am very upset and appalled. I am leaving your hotel at 3:15 in the morning with no other alternatives due to the lack and ability of Bilal to provide sufficient customer experience. I then called what was supposed to be corporate via a number I located online. I was informed that corporate was currently closed.

I have stayed here on numerous occasions since the hotel has opened. I have had nothing but terrible experiences, 1st being noise during my first stay while they were still in construction (per se). Secondly, the hotel is always filthy and noisy. The staff is very rude and lacking in basic customer service. What ever happened to customer satisfaction? I am writing this letter so that Mr. David Kong, CEO knows how he is being portrayed by the Gardena, CA location. I used to think very highly of the Best Western until tonight's experience. I am also placing this letter with the BBB, consumer authorities, the American Hotel & Lodging Association, as well as with the Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration. I promise to ensure that the public knows about the terrible experience I am having with Best Western Inn and Suites Gardena, CA. This is unacceptable and uncalled for.

Not only do I want my full refund and deposit returned, I expect that Best Western will make accommodation for misplacing me in the middle of the night at 3:00 a.m. My plan to stay consecutive nights has been ruined. Especially now that I must finish the rest of the morning in my vehicle being there are no other lodging alternatives within the area.

I stayed here 2 weeks and noticed every time I got in the shower my feet were BLACK! I requested the sheets were changed a few times and it didn't happen. Nor the pillow cases. I hope they did it before I got there! One of the times I had it cleaned, the garbage wasn't taken out even though I emptied them and put them next to the cans, and when I got back in the room the garbage was shoved in a CORNER? Umm? I pretty much did the work for you and you couldn't PUT IT IN YOUR TRASH BIN?! Beds are huge, double queen, looks pretty much the same as king to me. 7 out of 10 in my experience of noise hotels. A lot of kids this time I'm staying. Can hear them crying and talking in hallways pretty easily. And people talking in the hall wall in general... =/ The half wall in this hotel helps with noise from hallway a little.

Two tvs, so you can sit on nice couch in living area and lay in bed to watch tv. Nice blow dryer. Free breakfast that isn't too bad. Some days they have rubbery eggs, but the boiled eggs, pancake maker, and waffle maker make up for that. Just make sure you take the waffle out about 50-30 seconds early and fill the cup with batter all the way up and you're good to go! Strawberries and whipped cream to go with. YUM. The apple juice is good too.

They have a laundry room on 2nd floor with 1 dry, 1 washer. 1.00 for dryer, 1.50 for washer. Work pretty good. MOSTLY MAD THEY HAD MASON WORKERS HAMMERING OFF THE BRICK RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY ROOM BEFORE 8AM!! Yes I said before 8 in the ** morning?!? What is a hotel for? Mostly to sleep!!! Beware using Expedia to make reservations at Best Western. Best Western requires 48 hours for cancellation when the reservation is through Expedia rather than the usual 24 hours. My stepmother died on April 1, 2016. A memorial was planned for her in Grants Pass, OR, on April 9. Using Expedia, I made reservations for 2 rooms for 2 nights (April 8 & 9). Our family decided to delay the memorial because my stepbrother is not expected to survive much longer with cancer. On April 6, 48 hours before the reservation, I attempted to cancel the reservation.

Though Expedia did not charge me for the cancellation, Best Western charged me for the first night for each room. Therefore, the reservation cost me $178 for two rooms I was not able to use. Expedia called the general manager at the hotel (111 NE Agness Ave.) twice, once at least 24 hours before the reservation, the second call on the day of the reservation, to explain the circumstances but the general manager did not forgive the charge.

Temporary office set up in one of the guest rooms. The desk said I didn't have a reservation. Had to show her the confirmation I had printed off the online reservation. Got to the assigned room and found out they had given us a handicap accessible room which we had not requested. This is still puzzling since it's not the first time this has happened. At least the other time they gave us a different room, this time they said all the rooms were reserved.

Because of the remodeling, the breakfast was moved to a guest room which you can imagine was a joke.

The wifi connection was slow much of the time. Third day couldn't access at all. Walked to other end of hotel hallway and had a strong signal. A minor thing but the remote was broken (the scroll button would not work). And last, the Fox News channel had been blocked on the t.v. My family and I had to go to Orange County for a funeral. So I bought through Best Western, knowing that if the room was cheaper through somewhere else, they would guarantee the price and refund the difference. Well after I booked my mom sent me a screenshot of the room being $50 cheaper (BW price 149.99, Expedia price $97) on Expedia. I did their claim form and stated that. Their customer relations employee denied me because the Expedia price changed to $102 overnight, well it's still cheaper so I asked what's the issue? She then replied with a different excuse saying there are no rooms available on Expedia, so then I sent a link and said, "Yes there is." She then delayed some more and each time the Expedia price kept jumping, after 6 hours of our original email exchange the price reached Best Western's price.

So I sent her screenshots for proof and every time there was another excuse. Finally, a manager called, but she didn't have the emails with her or the screenshots and had no idea on the situation. After getting put on hold twice for about 10 minutes she figured out the situation. The manager said she couldn't use the screenshots and could only use the price on which she's looking at during our conversation, so they delayed long enough to have the price change and screwed me over.

At the end I told her I don't care about the guarantee or getting my money back, I already decided I'm going to cancel my reservation and book a different hotel. But I just wanted her to admit that the original price was way cheaper after all the proof I sent her. She said no she cannot admit that. So then I said, "Since you don't have the screenshot in front of you I'll send you an email" for her to personally see. She said okay, but then said she couldn't wait the time it take for the email to go through. I said I waited on hold for 20 minutes, why can't she wait 3 minutes? But she continued to deny and then I just hung up. At no point did they offer any discount or gift card for a future time. Just rude and did not uphold their best price guarantee.

He stood outside of the room, would not leave me, close the door so I could finish getting dressed, and kept asking me if I was done over and over.

I was never given the offer to purchase another night nor was I given a call. Best Western in South bay in Lawndale calif, South horrible customer service, A lady had flicked her cigarette on my head from the 3rd floor which was a non smoking area. Housekeeping kept a tip, I had given her $20 so she could clean my room and then never did, and denied I gave the money. This establishment has poor customer service and still has not resolved any of these issues. I don't recommend this hotel.

My personal work computer inside a laptop carry bag that had money, work documents and my laptop was stolen from my hotel room. I have made all the necessary reports and notified and reported to the police. They have all the reports needed. They have communicated with me. I told them, "how can this happen when they had just changed their security door systems only 3 weeks ago." This logs who enter in your hotel room and uses their security key to enter. It was stolen from the room. I have expressed my concerns about their safety and protocol. I do want to be reimbursed for my damages. They indicated that they send it to their corporate offices and they handle these types of incidents with their patrons. I want to know how long it takes, and how they can make me feel secure in their hotel again. I have been at this hotel since Sept. 2015, working in Hawaii. I am still here working, but feel very violated.

On an emergency road trip to Louisiana I booked a room with Best Western in West Monroe, LA for my children, husband and mother-in-law. I was very pleased with the rates, the size of the room and the friendliness of the staff. The entire experience was quite pleasurable until we left...then the nightmare began. We checked out Monday 2/1 and by Saturday 2/6, I noticed my children scratching their heads incessantly. When my children returned back to school that following Monday (2/9) within hours the school had called to alert me that my children had lice! I was livid, because in the back of my mind I thought that, but I didn't want to believe it. I actually contacted our pediatrician to confirm the time frame of contracting lice and it becoming an infestation/irritation, her reply 5-7 days.

I then proceeded to contact the Best Western in Louisiana, both thru voicemail and several emails. I finally got a reply that someone would get back to me. I haven't heard anything from the Best Western at 405 Thomas Rd. West Monroe, LA or its corporate offices and I'm still applying treatments to my family for lice...washing several loads of clothes, several hours of combing through hair and losing a great deal of sleep. Oh yes, even losing time away from my job because my kids are not allowed to go back to school until the lice has completely gone away.

At this point all I want is money returned back to me and I will never visit another Best Western ever again!! I have never had to deal with this issue of having lice and it has been extremely inconvenient, emotional and tiresome...thanks Best Western for nothing. PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY!!! I included a picture of my family so you can see the people that your hotel hurt and that we are not just another complaint!

I am a physically disabled vet who has limited sight among other issues, so I have a service dog who recently stayed at a Best Western in Columbus, Georgia on 2/6/16. I notified a worker at the hotel of my room number and informed her that the back splash in the back of my wall was horrendous and had black mold all over it. She told me that they would have it cleaned, but when I came back to the room later on that evening it wasn't fixed. Because I have suffered from black mold poisoning before I refuse to take a shower or bathe that evening so it was a major inconvenience and I checked the next morning. I took pictures and then I called the corporate office in Phoenix, AZ, But I NEVER received back from corporate so I'm wondering if they really care about customer complaints!!! I have always used Best Western in the past, but if this is the way they treat their customers, I will look for alternative solutions in the future.
