On our recent trip to Hawaii, we received notice that my husband's mother had suddenly fallen ill. The next day, we were contacted again and told that things had gone from bad to worse and that she was not expected to last more than 48 hours. We made the necessary arrangements and arrived home about midnight and were able to check in on her. We spent the next 2 days with her before she passed away. Allianz reimbursed us for the balance of our rental and the additional costs to change our airline tickets. They were fair and fast with the claim. The filing process was easy & self explanatory and we were able to upload receipts easily to the website. I've purchased Allianz travel insurance for years and never needed to make a claim, but it's good to know when you need to, they are fast, reliable and easy to deal with.

I visited the Bahamas with my family. However, due to the Winter storm “Grayson”, I could not return to JFK and I had to extend our stay for 5 days. In the case of flight cancellation caused by the weather, airline companies cover only a flight change, and accommodation expenses and meal fee will be borne by ourselves. I happened to assume an injury abroad and had travel insurance, so I was able to cover almost all my five-day stay. Especially in the winter, travel insurance is essential as there are many flight cancellations caused by the weather. Allianz 's claim was very easy and payment processing was so quick. Also, it was good to be able to check the status of the process online.

I bought the travel insurance when I purchased airline tickets for my brother and his wife, but hoped it wouldn't be needed. Glad I did - brother's wife had an accident requiring hospitalization followed by bedrest at home. Allianz came through with the refund exactly as advertised. RECOMMENDATION: When the person who purchases the tickets is not the traveler, please allow the actual purchaser to file the claim for the refund. I purchased the tickets for my brother and his wife using my credit card, but the refund went to my brother. He sent me a check.

Refunds for travel interruptions on my vacation to Aruba. Plane tickets and hotel stay fee. Allianz refunded the amount that I spend out of my own pocket in a very timely manner. I am very happy for the results of the refund.

I took the insurance - I had a medical issue and tickets to a show in Atlantic City. They were AWESOME - no problems no questions fast service - Kind, Friendly. I dealt with a wonderful woman named AMY ** who helped me - guided me - answered all my questions and got me a fast refund - HIGHLY recommended.

I was delayed by a snow storm in Ireland, and was unsure how to file a claim, I was contacted by someone who helped. Uploading the documents was very easy. Once I got it submitted the response was very quick. The only thing that could be improved upon would be that once the decision was made on my claim I could no longer check for an update on the website. I could see when it was processing, then there was no information. I assumed that it had been denied until the check showed up in the mail.

I have used Allianz Global for years for my travel. They have been very helpful anytime I have had to make a claim and paid promptly without questions on my receipts. I will continue to use this great company and the personnel are also very helpful.

Always buy Allianz travel insurance for flights, recent claim was second time had to cancel flights due to medical reason. Very good customer service. Website filing claim very easy. Very satisfied with process. If need flight insurance in case have to cancel for medical reason buy Allianz.

We had our anniversary trip ruined by a snow storm 2 years in a row, without Allianz we would have lost all the money we spent. Both times without Any hesitation we were refunded every cent of our money. We would never travel in the winter without them.

After submitting my claim due to a sudden change in my plans I was denied because my change was not considered a natural disaster. Not only did I lose out 300 dollars towards the flight but paid for insurance for no apparent reason. This was not a last minute change but reported 3 months prior. Never using this insurance again.

We encountered a travel delay due to a winter storm and cancelled flight. We had to drive to another airport to take a flight the next morning. All our costs were covered and the claim process was easy and quick.

Everything wrong a company could do they did!!! They promised after my injury they would pay for my medical bills and my surgery, they never did. They promised it was covered, then they changed their mind and said, "Yes it’s covered, we will pay for you to get back to the country, but no medical"??!!! That doesn’t help!!! This company should legally not be allowed to exist!!! Trust me as someone who has been down this road, don’t buy Allianz because it is a nightmare and not worth the money!!!

Did not receive copy of policy and then when called about a possible claim was treated like an idiot. Had the same thing repeated to me over and over. I will never purchase insurance on tickets again. Seems like impossible to get a refund. I was told even with the proper paperwork, claims "may" be eligible for a refund after reviewed by the claims department. I get it. A.G.A. does not want ripped off, but after my experience, I feel it nearly impossible to get a refund unless hospitalization or death occurs. Therefore, in my opinion, save the money and hope for the best.

Got sick and couldn't travel. I must admit I was skeptical. After all, the insurance was not that expensive. They sent me the paperwork to be filed and it was very uncomplicated. They refunded my money with no hassle. Thanks Allianz, I will always use you!

We purchased this insurance because we were going to Florida to visit my sick Dad in the hospital. Before we were able to leave my Dad took a turn for the worse and we decided to med flight him to Mass General. Our entire airline ticket purchase was reimbursed. Very happy with this insurance!

Our flight was delayed on 3/03/18 due to a Nor'Easter (high winds). Flight was eventually cancelled. We were able to flight out two days later. Allianz reimbursed two days lodging. Definitely recommend Allianz for your trip insurance needs. They processed claim immediately and we received our check without delay. We will not travel without protection from Aliianz.

I had to file a claim for a trip I intended to take to Dubai. The process was horrible. They wear you out with their "10 business days." Initially I submitted everything - claim forms, receipt, medical support etc. Everything. Only to wait 10 business days to find out that they were still waiting on the information, even though I sent it with the original email!!! Talk about - Silly!!! Then I resubmit the information - wait 10 business days for them to tell me that they couldn't view the information and I need to resubmit AND they want me to send my bank statement to prove that I paid for the ticket! Ugh!! But that's all shown on the receipt!!! Needless to say - I won't be using this insurance company again!!! It has been a month already and I still have to wait "10 business days." SMH. LOL. Whatever!

I had to cancel a trip because my wife got sick. Filing a claim was a hassle. I copied my policy number directly from an email that had a link to file a claim. I used that link and posted my policy number. I get a message "Policy not found" or something like that. I use their tools to search and finally I am able to bring up my policy and file a claim. I bought my ticket with miles and a small amount of cash. You have to state what you are asking for, but you pull it from a drop-down menu. Re-instatement of miles isn't one of the options. They are all related to money. So I choose the appropriate one to get my five dollars and sixty cents back and leave a comment that I am looking to have my points reinstated.

We bought this insurance for our 3 month stay in Mexico. My husband fell, we thought he may have broken his collarbone. I called Allianz and got excellent help in understanding what to do and how to file the claim, after we had been to the doctor. We e-mailed later to ask questions and they responded quickly and with a clear answer to our questions. I have never worked with an insurance company that handled our claim in such a personal and efficient manner. We highly recommend them and will purchase our travel insurance from them, for our next trip.

Our trip had to be cancelled because of hurricane Irma. The home we were staying in had sustained damage and the repairs had not yet been completed by February! I initiated the process online and followed up with photos of the damage. The turnaround was QUICK! They refunded my airfare - no problems! Would definitely use them again.

I purchased an airline ticket to Florida but was not able to use it due to illness. I faxed the required documentation and received a refund of the ticket amount pretty quickly. I was relieved that I had bought the insurance and would buy it another time.

I submitted a claim over a month ago and never heard from them. If you have more than one claim such as delayed baggage or a hotel cost they cannot be added. Seems that on the form only one claim can be made.

I bought for the first time an insurance policy from the Allianz and I am very satisfied with the received service. I have enjoyed 2 policies with Allianz Travel insurance but have only had to submit one claim. Unfortunately my wife and I both encountered some difficulties on a recent cruise when she caught the flu and had to be quarantined in our cabin for two days and I strained my knee. Her flu resulted in us both being prescribed medication. Later on the same trip I strained my knee which resulted in a second trip to the medical office and a knee brace. I'm happy to report both claims were handled quickly and efficiently. Since we have the annual policy we will be putting them to test again later this year on a second trip, hopefully with no incidents this time!

I got into an accident while on vacation, once paying the deductible communications were via email and I received my refund check, all within 1 month's time! Happy to say I'm pleased with this turnover as I presumed it would take longer to process.

I called in to report my flight delay that would cause me to leave Palm Springs the next day, and see if I would be covered for a hotel room. The person on the phone told me this would qualify as a "trip interruption" and I would be eligible for up to $460 in reimbursement for a hotel, per my policy. There were very few rooms in Palm Springs but I could get one at the hotel I had been staying in for a conference, that was very close to the airport, for $465. That was way more than I wanted to spend but I thought I would just do that since it was convenient and I thought I would be getting almost all of it back anyway.

This was so easy, I really was surprised. When my flight was delayed several times, I knew I needed to make other arrangements. I called Allianz to discuss the terms of my claim. I was given straight talk, pleasant and assuring. After finally reaching my destination, I made a claim, it was quickly approved and soon I received reimbursement for my travel interruption. A very good interaction with this insurance company, I was pleasantly surprised!

The online process was simple and clear, I was able to file my claim, provide documentation and be paid in about a week. The process was very easy to use and I felt good that my company would be reimbursed, even during my medical issue.

The people at Allianz, Sedgwick and Viking were very effective and understanding. While there was was body damage occurring during a snow and ice storm, they confirmed the facts of the accident and then coordinated everything with Budget Rental Car. The repairs to the rental car were made without question.

I give highest marks to Allianz for their handling of my claim resulting from our having to cancel our cruise because of my health issues. The process was efficient, easy and we were reimbursed fully and quite quickly. Customer service representatives were very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

I submitted a claim for damage to one of our suitcases. One of the "feet" was ripped off taking a chunk of the hard sided case with it. I submitted my claim, which was quite simple to do online, with pictures of the damage, just uploading them with the claim, and the check came in the mail a week or two later. Very simple and quick. I am not happy with the service with Alliance. I had to cancel a flight, which I purchased the insurance for, because our friend was sent to Puerto Rico to help restore the power to the island after the hurricane. I sent in my information on March 19, 2018 and I am still waiting for a response from them. I thought this would have been a much faster process.

Allianz covered all our costs related to a 5 day delay in returning home. There was not a lot of sympathy from our friends over being unable to get back from the Caribbean, but there was the unanticipated expense.Our lodging, meals, and transport were all reimbursed by our Global Assistance policy. I have rarely bought travel insurance in the past, but I definitely will in the future and will again get it from Allianz. A+++.

I am very satisfied with the service I got from Allianz Insurance. The telephone assistance I got was very understanding, diligent and resolved my claim filing. I worked on getting all the required documentation and after filing it altogether, a couple of weeks later got the email informing me of the approval. I’m very grateful that Allianz refunded the full amount of my ticket. I had to dot all the i-s and cross all the t-s with doctor’s excuse, etc. but they came through. It’s been well worth the money spent for their travel insurance.

I was very pleased with our experience with our Global Allianz travel policy. I was advised by a friend that we should purchase a policy whenever traveling in the winter and it was certainly fortuitous for us that we did with winter storm Riley. We were stuck in Minneapolis, Mn. as a result of the storm and knowing we had the insurance helped ease the stress of being stranded for two days. I am sure Minneapolis is a beautiful city to visit in the spring, summer and fall but in the winter there isn't a lot going on.

I sent an insurance claim for my delayed luggage and delayed flight March 9th and received an email saying I needed to send proof which is reasonable. I sent my receipts Mar 23, but have yet to hear back from the company on my claim.

We had to cancel our cruise due to sudden unexpected illness that required couple of months continuous treatments. Allianz were very helpful. Hands down the most user friendly, efficient, prompt service I have ever received for an insurance claim. Our trip was cancelled due to weather and with no questions asked I was refunded in full. Would definitely purchase trip insurance through Allianz for future trips.

We were pleased with the expediency with which the claim was processed. However, Allianz accepts collect calls, but because the collect calls could not be made from the country we were in, the calls were charged to the hotel bill and Allianz did not reimburse. While we understand that the policy does state up to $100.00 per day for the travel companion, there is nowhere you can get a hotel room for $100.00, let alone including transportation from hotel to hospital that costs $20.00 per trip.

Before I had children, I rarely considered adding travel insurance to the cost of my plane tickets. Now that I do have children, traveling has become more expensive and more difficult and having travel insurance can make a big difference in terms of peace of mind. During my most recent trip, we missed a connection due to flight delay. I filed a claim (my first) and the process was easy and clear. I spoke with a person that sounded may have been from the Philippines (doesn't really matter where) but I was calling from overseas with bad phone connection and then on top of that the person had a thick accent. She stated, "Why can't you understand me," and I said, "Because you have a thick accent making it hard for me;" and she proceeded to say "Well you have an accent too". I was stunned that someone would say such a rude thing and offended and hurt. I struggle because I am hearing impaired and I have a speech impediment but she didn't care; while I do the best I can she was rude and I kept asking her to slow down in talking and she would not. I have never experience such rudeness from someone I informed I could not hear well.

I signed up for the travel insurance. When I needed a receipt for the policy, I got the policy but not the receipt for it. Delta Airlines could not process a receipt for me nor the Allianz could send me a receipt. I called 5 times to get someone who could understand my problem as I had to submit the receipt for work travel reimbursement. So far I don’t have a receipt.

Felt like a HUGE runaround. Then my claim was not deposited and it took so much work to call and find out why? Seems it's not very clear in the policy my trip was interrupted and I had a loss at work but seems that was NOT really covered. Just learned and will NEVER take out insurance again. I even cancelled my upcoming trip policy! Not sure the refund of it was ever issued and really I'm sure it's an act of God to get it... so not worrying about it.

Rebooking fee on Two tickets after cancellation because of surgery. The scheduled Cruise was cancelled and airfare would not be needed. Sent letter from doctor along with necessary forms. We have rebooked at the end of June. Air ticket good for 1 year. It had been purchased 8/2017. Rebooking fee was covered by insurance $400 for two tickets.

Sent all papers requested...Said the claim was paid. Paid for airfare which I did not request and refused to pay for Cruise. Said Cruise Line paid. Sent letter from cruise line saying they did not. I have been ill and in the hospital. I do not have the strength to deal with these crooked people. I'm sure Channel 6 would like to hear about them and 60 Minutes.

I took out a last minute travel policy to cover a rescheduled trip. I'm glad I did. A winter storm caused our flight home to be cancelled. Allianz covered our extra day's expenses. My only regret is that there was no place on the online claim form to explain that I had lost one of my receipts. I expected Allianz to contact me to discuss the difference between our claim amount and the total of the receipts provided. They simply totaled the receipts and paid that amount instead of the claim amount. I am grateful for what was covered, but had hoped to have a chance to explain the missing receipt.

I had an unexpected medical issue that precluded me from traveling during the period covered by my policy. I submitted my claim as soon as I was able, and Allianz promptly issued me payment. Great service. My only suggestion is that the policy clearly spell out that the doctor's statement be done using the Allianz form available on their website - I started out with a letter from my doctor, but had to go back to him when I discovered, via the website, that the form was needed.

I was very happy with how easy it was to file a claim. Entered everything online and the money was in my account with two weeks. Very pleased. If there were one thing I’d change is that I wish I had received an email that payment had been sent.

My wife became so ill that she required constant care during the week I was to travel by air. I had purchased trip cancellation insurance when I bought the ticket. I had receipts as well as our physician's statement. I entered everything online as requested and within a couple of weeks I was very happy to receive a full reimbursement from Allianz. I had a lot of trepidation going into the process, but everything went smoothly and as it should. The only thing that would have made it easier would be a form for the physician to complete rather than requiring a letter from his office, and to provide that form with the initial document list.

The experience with Allianz was first rate. They took my info and did their due diligence in making sure that they did a thorough investigation of my case and after doing so returned all the money that was owed to me in a timely manner.

They also accepted the credit card statement as proof of payment making it easier than scanning each receipt. With flights being over booked I recommend the policy in case of cancellation due to bad weather if you have a connecting city on your route.

I purchased insurance for an Amtrak trip (for a work event). The second half my itinerary was canceled due to a big winter storm, so I had to rent a car and drive home instead. When I finally tracked him down (which was ridiculous because he was an ICU doctor doing daily rounds), he was horrified at the questions on the statement - HIPPA procedures out the window. These people are horrible. My 82 yr old mother is not able to fly due to health reasons and these people will not refund the price of her ticket. I sent the note that her Dr. gave me and that is not enough for them. Now they want me to get a note or letter stating the symptoms she is having. What makes them think they are more qualified than a Dr. to determine whether or not she is fit to fly. I was so upset I had to hang up on a supervisor rather than say something I may regret later. This insurance is a stinking scam. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. I try to have faith in humanity... Once again I am sorely disappointed. I had to list my account # in order to give this review. We shall see how they use this against me.

My wife passed away, and Regent Seven Seas charged me close to $12,000 in fees for cancelling a cruise within 60 days of sailing. The only thing I would recommend is delete physicians statement. I believe this is a 3 page statement which many physicians would charge the patient to fill out. My physician had already written a letter and that wasn't sufficient. Your form asks too much personal information. In my case I went for a mammogram and a suspicious lesion was found. I had biopsy & ultimately surgery in less than a month. I'm still convalescing. That is very private info and my physician and myself felt this information wasn't necessary to process my claim.

Never bought travel insurance before. Did it mostly for medical protection. Yea, was worried that like most insurance companies they would find a way not to pay, but not in this case. Took claim. Paid direct deposit in less than 10 days. Will be buying your insurance for all international trips going forward. VERY SATISFIED!

We ran into an unexpected situation. We had to travel cancel our trip. Your insurance company provided a fair assessment of the situation and responded appropriately reimbursing as per your policy. Overall you did an okay job. I'm not much of a fan of insurance companies, however if you do what you're say you're going to do that I have no problem with you.

I had to cancel four trips because of my husband’s recent cancer diagnosis. Two were with Allianz. Allianz paid first, another one paid a week later, the third company has had it under review. I always buy insurance for my trips hoping to never have to use it. When I called Allianz, the representatives were very helpful. Thanks so much for the fast claim payment.

Filed a Claim for Vehicle Damage - The process from the insurance agent to the final claim was professional, prompt, and was completed without issues. Insurance agent was thorough, friendly, understanding and was to the point. Guided me through the claims process on what documents to provide to the insurance company. He even gave me a link to apply to a job within the company. I was impressed. The claim took a couple weeks to process and the cheque was mailed within 10 business days of the claim approval. I am more than happy with the outcome of the claim. The claim amount was $5000 CDN and I only paid $50 CDN for excess insurance. 5 stars. Would use this company again 110% when travelling.

I had a wonderful experience with Allianz. From the very beginning of when I had to cancel my flight. I was nervous that I would not be able to get a refund, but due to a family problem I was unable to go on my trip. Everyone I talked with was very understanding and wanted to help me in any way they could. I will absolutely use Allianz for all future flight insurance!

We used Allianz for flights to Hawaii. We had to cancel due to a medical family emergency. We did have to fill out paperwork, and forms had to be signed by doctors, but it was a quick and efficient process.

I am glad that I purchased the insurance for our tickets, We were not able to go on our trip, so had to use the insurance. The paperwork was about 5 pages, but that is OK, was able to get all resolved with no problems. It is go to see that some processes are still easy to resolve issues. I have been traveling back and forth monthly to Dallas from Rochester NY to visit with my husband who just took a new job there. During the last trip that I took a Nor'easter canceled the first leg of my trip and thus missed a connection. Due to the weather and all the cancellations, the airline I booked with was only able to get me on a flight 2 days later. However, because I had trip insurance, I was able to book a one way down to Dallas on a different airline that had open seats that same day. I arrived in Dallas only a few hours later than I had originally planned. We were able to enjoy our weekend together and trip was saved. Working with Allianz was easy from the very moment of purchasing trip insurance to the moment of getting reimbursed for the one way trip ticket that I had to buy in order to get to my destination on time. Having trip insurance was worth every penny!

I had an eye injury while out of the country on a ski trip and they quickly refunded me for all of the costs associated including the eye doctor and prescription drops that I had to purchase. The process was very simple and funds were direct deposited into my account very quickly!! Great process and service!

I unfortunately had to change both of my flight dates due to my father's illness and was charged $400 in flight change fees by the airline. Allianz was kind enough to refund me the cost of those fees after I submitted proof of payment and medical dates of service.

I don’t normally buy trip insurance, but this time I did and Thank God I did. I had to have emergency surgery and with Allianz they made the process of getting refunded painless, when at the moment, I didn't need any additional pain! I will never, not buy trip insurance again with Allianz.
