Very prompt service. Easy to submit claim. I am very satisfied and would recommend the purchase of travel insurance from Allianz. The process for submitting my claim was simple. First time that I have had to use and am very pleased with the process.

Got a few emails and calls about 'accepting' agreement for service... which I did do at order for unit service. Delivery went well except I was unaware how pods were unloaded and moved plus need for 'hard surface' to set pod on... But delivery went well.

Very easy to file a claim and attach documentation. Will always get this coverage. Saved us from losing a boatload of money. Wish we had done it for the hotel too. Next time we will get coverage for the whole trip.

I am quite happy with the Insurance and the claims process by Allianz. My trip was canceled due to a medical issue prior to travel. The claims process was simple and refund of the airfare was prompt. Both are things that are difficult to find in the insurance market today.

Allianz has helped me through 2 canceled flights in which I was injured for both flights. The website service is easy to navigate, but if you need to speak to a customer rep, they tend to send you back to the website. It appears they want everything done electronically, so those who are not computer savvy will have some issues. Once you learn how to navigate their system, you have to scan and upload your documents to their website, and then they send emails letting you know what is happening. It is a lot of work, especially since you are buying insurance to begin with, and then you have to justify why you need to use them. Their system does work, and they helped me out twice when I needed it, so thank you Allianz. I would like to see more verbal communication for those who can't navigate the system, but overall it worked for me.

We got our reimbursement within 2 weeks for our first and second claim. However we had 3 separate claims to file and the first agent we spoke with tried to put all 3 claims together and we found out later by another agent that each claim needed a different claim number. So I would recommend some additional training may be in order.

The customer service was excellent, they were very attentive and helpful it only took one phone call to get my refund. I will recommend them to all my family and friends. Thanks to this insurance I was able to attend my nephew's wedding.

BEWARE of Allianz travel insurance. I saved a long time and booked a special trip for me and my sons. It was their high school graduation and a 50th birthday celebration for me. What better way to celebrate than create some memories? WRONG. What was meant to be a trip of a lifetime became a trip to hell. I bought ALLIANZ trip insurance, just in case. Decided on a trip to Cabo San Lucas. Purchased Allianz trip insurance thinking it would help if we needed it and to protect my investment in the vacation. Well, something did happen and that something was hurricane/tropical storm Bud. Called a few days in advance to see what my options were for possibly postponing or canceling the trip seeing how it looked like Cabo would be a direct hit.

Paid promptly and in full for clothing needed to attend a wedding due to baggage delay - thanks! Frankly, did not expect this level of service and was pleasantly surprised. I have purchased insurance for my next vacation already and will continue to do so with more confidence.

On May 4, 2018 I was on an American Airlines flight from DFW to Tyler, Texas, the flight left the gate and went out on the tarmac and then returned to the gate and canceled the flight at that time I had to rent a car to get home. My wife had had surgery and could not drive to come to Dallas to get me. Allianz was very good to help out with the cost of rental car. Thanks.

Over the past few years have been very happy with Allianz Travel Insurance. My husband has a rare form of cancer and we’ve been going through various forms of treatments over the last five years. I always use the insurance because there have been a few times where I’ve had to cancel my flight. Other than needing a doctor's certification one time it has not been inconvenient at all. You have to jump through a few hoops but I don’t blame the insurance company for that.

I purchased insurance because I planned to travel out of state to attend a K-con conference which my daughter really wanted to attend as an early birthday gift on Sat. June 23. On Wednesday June 20th our family pet started what is called a cluster of epileptic seizures (20 within 24 hours) which rendered him with over medical issues including temporary blindness.

WORTHLESS WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. I purchased Allianz insurance for some concert tickets because my wife is pregnant and was having some morning sickness off and on, and sometimes throughout the day. When the concert day came around she was puking all day, and obviously didn’t want to attend the event. At the time we were relieved that we had purchased the insurance so that we could be reimbursed for the tickets, but after contacting Allianz we were disappointed to find out that it was really just a scam and they wanted an impossible amount of documents from a doctor's visit that unknown to us was necessary to occur within 72 hours of the event.

I’m still waiting for payment for this claim confirmed by your company 17 May. I don’t understand why this is taking so long. I know I’m an international customer but that should not make a difference at all. Please can you help?

I had purchased my airfare ticket and Allianz Insurance. My son needed surgery and the date was set right before my trip. I had to cancel the trip and Allianz was ready to answer all my questions. Smooth transaction, low stress.

Unfortunately - and typical Florida style, during Memorial Weekend we were faced with the first tropical storm of the year. We ended up taking our trip to Bradenton, but had to leave a day early because not only were we trying to leave before the storm, we were driving right into because of where we lived in North Florida. After explaining all of this to Allianz, they came through and reimbursed us for one night. I will use them again.

I cancelled my Airlines flight due to the flu. Allianz reported back after I made the request for a ticket refund that they could not reimburse me as I had been treated prior to purchase for the illness. That was not true. I wrote to them and they came back with another excuse. They are not reliable.

Calling to your tel number 800-334-7525 every day to ask for an answer on the medical portion of this claim (Hospital-balance due, surgeon and anesthesiology fees) which are still pending of payment after one month and 15 days of my emergency occurred in Mexico City. The person in charge of this claim processing - J.R ext ** is never available. Kindly asking for a prompt resolution of this claim.

I purchased the policy from you for $31.45. My flight was delayed for a couple hours out of Orlando due to weather, and I unfortunately missed my connection in Chicago. Because I missed the last flight out that night, I had to stay overnight in a hotel. Allianz reimbursed me for the cost of that hotel quickly after I submitted the claim; no questions asked. Used to cover a flight on a trip that I did end up having to cancel for health reasons. Submitted a couple of documents with my explanation and within a week, I'd been told the trip was covered and received funds shortly after that. I was extremely pleased with the whole process. The online submission was a little buggy (wouldn't let me click on the list of needed documents for my particular case), but overall it was easy and quick.

Awoke to severe pain in my buttocks and upper thighs while on a trip to the Galapagos Islands. I was in pain whether standing, sitting or lying and had to curtail all activities for the day. Unfortunately, I was on a boat at an island with no medical facilities, and it wasn't until late in the afternoon that I was able to reach an island with medical care. I received injections for pain and inflammation and several prescriptions. When I submitted my claim, which included transportation costs from the dock to the clinic and back, it was approved and paid promptly. Claims personnel were friendly and helpful. We were scheduled to depart from LeHavre France on April 30. We were in Bayeux when we received an email stating the ship could not dock because of bad weather. We had to take the Brittany Ferry to cross the English Channel and board the ship in Southhampton. We submitted all our receipts,(ferry tickets, food) via email. Allianz was very prompt in processing our claim. We received regular emails to track the progress. I would recommend.

I had never purchased any type of travel insurance before in my life but decided to do so when I purchased some round-trip tickets to visit my brother for a family reunion this past June 2018. This is a rip off service. You try save money and Allianz won't compensate you for items you needed. The amount of money and time spent claiming is a waste of time. They do not call you to explain what they are not paying and why. All it takes is a little interaction and maybe we can understand.

I got a ** email saying that my flight was only delayed 20 hours and not 24 so I don’t get compensation. You are thieves. You should not sell policies like that or put it in huge bold letters before people buy.

I came down with acute bronchitis while on a cruise. I went to the clinic and was treated with antibiotics, nebulization sessions and **. I was also given follow up treatment of antibiotics for another 7 days. Allianz covered all the costs.

We usually do not get travel insurance but since this trip had more than one leg and international travel, we decided to get it. One of our legs was delayed more than 12 hours and it caused us one resort hotel fee on Aruba. We sent in the form for refund and were asked to provide documentation. American Airlines provided the needed document and we had the hotel bill showing we were charged for the night we weren't there. Allianz did as we hoped they would and refunded every penny with no further questions asked and no delays. We would recommend Allianz Global travel insurance to anyone that would be in jeopardy of possibly losing out if their trip was delayed. We will certainly get travel insurance next year for our international trip.

Due to a health issue and my physician requesting close monitoring at this time, I had to cancel my flight. Allianz's process was easy and it took the exact time frame that they mentioned 7- 10 days for a response and then the full refund. I will be sure to use them on any other travel that I take.

The only thing I would recommend is that they allow uploading of jpeg images. This would allow a person to take a picture of a doctor's note and upload it at the time of filing the claim. Because this was not possible on the existent system, one then had to email customer service with an attachment which was a hassle and took additional time. There was worry that the email info would not be linked to the claim. They could fix this easily.

Was somewhat disappointed that policy didn't cover a lot of the expenses incurred as a result of interrupted travel, in particular missed hotel reservations and flights that were not taken due to trip interruption and delay. However, was happy to get back at least some money.

Unfortunately we had 2 separate events that cause us to submit 2 unrelated claims under 1 policy (2 separate travelers). What a ridiculous mess this seemed to have created because NO ONE took the time to understand that 3 months later the 2nd claim was not in fact the same as the first. Several emails, many phone calls, a lot of time spent on hold and finally after 3 months, I finally received a check in the mail. What a ridiculous experience.

This review isn't based on service during a medical incident. TLDR: I don't travel often and did not know trip cancellation is only covered due to very specific reasons. I have complete medical coverage through my credit card, but was worried that I wouldn't be able to go on the trip if my traveling partner didn't receive their passport in time. When I saw, see the attached document, that I could buy cancellation insurance for $75.00 per person I decided I would safely be able to pay for the trip without worrying about losing my money.

While we were on vacation in and out of Singapore, I had some severe back pains. I saw the doctor on the ship and received a shot to relieve my pains. Then before our cruise was over I came down with pneumonia. I was again seen by the doctor on board and sent to er at the local hospital. My wife had to stay in a hotel. We were there for five days. All doctors' bills, hospital and hotel bills were paid and our travel home was handled by Allianz. They were extremely helpful. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Allianz and will use them again for future travel.

I am so happy with this company! I do not normally get travel insurance but decided to get it because the airfare was so cheap. I could not be happier! I spoke with a very knowledgeable customer service rep who told him where and how to file the claim. The paperwork was so easy and, within two weeks, I had a full refund for an American Airlines flight I could not take. I will definitely use this company in the future.

I experienced a trip delay with unexpected expenses. Allianz was the best insurance company I have ever done business with. I booked a trip in April 2018, and the agent booked the wrong return date. Once the error was discovered, I was required to pay an additional $600 to change the airline tickets. The was under the impression that through the policy purchase, I would be able to recoup some of that additional cost for unforeseen circumstances. This is not the case. The insurance did not help cover this unforeseen circumstance, which again, was not at my own fault. It was a waste of nearly $300 to purchase this policy. So, now for this particular trip, I am out for the policy cost as well as the airline charges. I would not purchase again.

Due to a snowstorm cancelling my return flight from Turks & Caicos, this was the one time I actually used flight insurance. Allianz policy covered the cost associated with hotel, meals, and return flight with a minimum of hassle. They were very good at adding extra expense to my policy as they occurred. I have booked all my flight through Allianz and the one time I tried someone else, I was sorry.

Allianz were quick to respond and refund monies spent on bookings. Bookings made could not be honored due to illness. My wife and I were both well when I first booked the hotel, but my wife was diagnosed with cancer and had to undergo surgery and subsequent chemotherapy. To complicate matters even further she came down with shingles, and that was so painful she had to curtail all travels.

My car rental sustained windshield chip damage that fissured through the driver’s side. Rental company charged me for the damages. We had an unfortunate experience at the start of our trip. Missed connections and lost luggage. As a result we missed a paid for excursion in Amsterdam, and had no clothes when we arrived. Luggage arrived on the third day, but we had to have something to hold us over and the only shop near our hotel was the hotel’s gift shop. We purchased two tee shirts each. Our insurance covered the missed excursion as well as the cost of the shirts. That was great. But the receipts were for Euros, not US dollars.
