I ordered shirts for my child who wears uniforms to school. My order never arrived even though I received an email saying it was delivered. When I called customer service they did not even try to help or locate the package. They told me to call UPS or my bank and file a claim. When I called UPS I was told that the tracking number was only for part of the order that was sent separately and that I needed to get the second tracking number for the second package. I spent the rest of the evening and next morning attempting to call them back to no avail. The customer service line says they are experiencing high volume of calls and hangs up. How do people conduct business like this. It feels like a scam.

Very bad experience buying online. The type of messaging is deceptive. It takes longer than expected, they make movements in the orders without consulting the customer. And they don't notify, they just say they can't make changes or cancellation. I do not recommend buying on this page.

I will never again place an order with Children's Place, I ordered over 10 days ago and my package still has not arrived, the last update I have is that it would arrive on 7/23/19. I called customer service and they were not able to tell me when. She literally told me to contact UPS. They seem to just wash their hands from the situation. They could have resent my items, or credited me since they took my money already. But they just told me to contact UPS. I will contact my bank to get my money. I will also cancel my credit card that I just opened with Children's place. And I will no longer shop there. I recommend you do that same..

So I bought a jacket for my son online. It came yesterday. It fit perfect but I was worried it wouldn't fit come December when he needs it so I went to exchange it for one size bigger. Well they didn't have it in the store so I received a gift card to order the bigger size. I tried to order the bigger one and the gift card wasn't enough so I went back to the store and I was told that the taxes are different online than in store and that there was nothing they could do about it... I said why can't I just have the same amount back and I asked to speak to the manager. She came out and said the same that they couldn't do anything about that and gave me the corporate number. They are going to reimburse me in 10 to 12 business days but either way that was total ** that I taxes are different online than in store.

I bought some clothes for my son a few days ago and the order went through. And a few days after, I bought something again and they took the money and cancelled the order. When I tried to find out to find out no one will help me. I haven't received an email or suck but they took my money. Don't buy from them. They are no good.

They never sent me my items. I placed an order on June 29 and I am getting the runaround as to when I will receive my items. They old me $100 worth of merchandise and they have yet to answer or provide me with my items. This store is a thief. This company is rotten and liars and I warn everyone do not buy. there.

I would not recommend ordering clothes online and selecting the option for same day pick-up. I made an order while in the store so I know the merchandise was in stock. The price was cheaper online than in the store. After waiting about 2.5 hours I never received a notification to pick-up the merchandise. Since I did not live in the area I asked the manager if they had received the online request (White Marsh, Baltimore County location). She was short with me and did not have a can do attitude. She basically said the order had not been pushed through and no desire to help me any further. I asked for the corporate number to get assistance with online orders. She gave it to me, but lied and said they were closed on weekends.
I called the number and got a human. At that point I was upset. I told the representative to cancel my order. He told me there was no way for him to cancel it and I would have to cancel the order by not picking it up after they said it was ready. This process takes days as you have about seven days to pick up the merchandise. With all this I never received confirmation that I could pick up my same day order on Saturday or Sunday either for that matter. I got an email on Monday saying they were unable to fill my order. This experience was unprofessional both in store and online. Meanwhile I took my money to Old Navy with no issues. If The Children's Place wants to stay in business they have to do better or they will find themselves closed like many other retailer.

My wife and I went shopping at the mall with our daughter. We went to The Children's Place and purchased $115 worth of clothes. After swiping my debit card the cashier said the system locked up and to re-swipe. I did and when I got home there were 2 charges for the same amount! I have been in touch with their "Customer Support" several times over the past 3 weeks and EVERY time they tell me that they are going to have to escalate the call and someone will contact me in 24-72 hrs. Nothing has happened yet! They have my money and don't care about doing the right thing. They only have the one phone # and no contact info for any other department that they are supposedly escalating my issue to.

Do NOT MAKE PURCHASES FROM THIS COMPANY. I made a purchase on June 19, 2019. The Children's Place stated that the package was delivered on June 26, 2019. I did not receive this package. I have the RING surveillance monitor to see if the package was delivered and no package was delivered the date and time that was stated. The Children's Place are SCAMMERS and looking at past reviews looks like something that they do as a regular pattern.
Case#: **. "Thank you for contacting The Children's Place. We apologize for any inconvenience this may caused. Our records indicates that your package was delivered to addressee according to UPS carrier tracking number. Please be advised at this time The Children's Place can not process refunds or reshipment for packages scanned as delivered, we recommend you to get in contact with your financial institution for better assistance. I will be taking this issue a step forward to notify the proper authorities to The Children's Place operations."

I placed an order online on June 20, 2019 and it was supposedly delivered on June 26. I called customer service to report them I didn't received my package; It's been more than one week and I still waiting for an answer, no money back, no package, what kind of service is that... How can they play with people's money? My order is over $100, this is insane.

Mother in Law bought $64 worth of Children’s Place clothing for my daughter online. Nothing fit. She ordered the items on 5/7, Birthday was 6/1, finally received her receipts 6/25 so I could return/exchange but it’s been 51 days. Frustrating that they only offer 45 day window. I guess they go in the donation pile.....

I recently bought a pair of sandals for my daughter on Children's Place website. They happened to be too large so I took the return slip from the package and returned it. About a month later the package came back saying it was rejected and my boyfriend was told he had to pay $11.91. So not only am I now stuck with these sandals but I have now paid nearly double for them. I will never buy here again if this is how messed up their return policy is. It's a shame because my daughter loves the store.

I applied for The Children's Place card because I got discount for my total purchase. I usually bought clothes from Gymboree and Kohl’s. But in 2017 The Children's Place was the only place I find what I was looking for but at regular prices. We moved and we didn’t get the statement (at this new address, my mail gets mixed with my neighbors. I do give them their mail, but one of the neighbors is a jerk and keeps it). Because it was first time being late paying the bill, they voided it. Now, the Gymboree closed and I shopped at The Children's Place again in 2019 using their card thinking that I’m getting points (which I found out is not true; I can get points without using their card). I sent the bill in time as my other bills from the same mail box.
I have credit cards for every single store I shop at because of discount or points or promotions. I’m never late paying my bills and our credit card score is over 800. After I paid my bill, they send me another statement with my amount due and FEES. I didn’t even see the fees and I called the card to question the amount. That’s the way I found out that I was one day late paying my previous bill. I didn’t want to pay $29 fees. The customer service representative transferred me to Spanish line (I don’t speak Spanish). They couldn’t answer to my questions. It did sound suspicious to me. I couldn’t understand how I was late just for this card? I’m paying in time; I sent a couple of checks due at the same time (AT&T, HOA, Kohl’s....); all got it in time besides this card from The Children's Place. They couldn’t void the fees because they will do it just once.
I canceled my account right away due to our bad conversation over the phone....And they told me that I’ll go to the collections if I don’t pay the fees. I didn’t want to pay over the phone because I was very upset. I don’t want my credit score screwed for $29, I wrote the check and sent it for $29 fees IN TIME AGAIN. NOW, this month, I got another statement from them to pay another $29 late fees for being late paying last fees!!!? I called them again being on hold and arguing for over one hour. The conclusion: Because I cancelled my account, they can’t do anything for me. I don’t need their card and I hate shopping there. That happened to me trying to be a good citizen who pays in time, even the fees I shouldn’t have to pay. :(:(:

I placed my order on June 5th. It was delivered on June 12. Unfortunately it was THE WRONG order. The order form said it was for some lady in VA, I live in FL. I called Children's Place and got a call center in India. They said they would try and expedite the order and shipping. It's June 17 and I still don't know where my order. No updates or email status to date. Poor service!

My mother order items online for my daughter. It was the wrong size so I returned to the store. While there we picked up one more romper in her size and exchanged all items plus romper total was $4.61. During my transaction after I had punched in my debit card pin the system froze. The store employee noted “this happens a lot”, called her IT dept and confirmed my card was never charged. Run transaction again. Next day I see two charges for this transaction clearing my bank! I immediately called the store. They seemed polite and said they would report it to their support dept for a refund “wait 3-5 days. If you don’t see refund call us back”. Never received refund so called store manager. Told me she couldn’t do anything and gave me number to customer service.
Called that number and they noted it was never reported to them so it would be another 3-5 business days to look into it! I called 4 business days later. Still no resolution because it hasn’t been 5 days. I asked them why they say 3-5 if they really mean 5. No answer. They clearly read from a script and are hard to understand. Obviously in another country. Two weeks after the stores screw up and I still don’t have my refund. This place is a fraud. I will never shop there again.

I ordered items May 5th. They didn't "ship" until the 8th. Come to find out that they never made it to UPS. So I emailed them. They said it was shipped. I then called and they opened a ticket. Couldn't understand the person because the person wasn't American. I asked for a refund. They wouldn't even talk to me about it. Horrible company. This will be the last time I order from them. I don't even know if I will get my order or not. What a horrible company.

I paid for 7 items and was shipped only 5 items. I called customer service for Children's Place over a 5 day period and the phone line kept stating that it was experiencing high call volumes and to call back. I submitted a claim via their email system and I still have yet to receive my money back. I kept calling and no one answers or I am placed on hold for 20 minutes or longer. I called again and spoke with someone in another country and he said he would refund me and he never DID! I am still trying to call a month later!

Within 60 seconds of placing an order, I contacted them to say that my old address was accidentally in the Ship To field. Their response? "Sorry, can't do anything. Can't even cancel the order." I have spent a total of 3 hours on the phone with UPS, USPS and my credit card company to figure out what to do. The call with them was ended with the employee saying "And we cannot reimburse any fees associated with this order, discount you on shipping shipping costs, etc." Gee, thanks. There are so many options out there for kids' clothing. No reason to ever shop here. I most certainly will not.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! Awful customer service and terrible return policy! I bought over $120 worth of clothes for my daughters and used my $60 "rewards" cash or whatever they call it. Turns out they wanted dresses instead of shorts. Two-three days later (WELL before the expiration of my discount would have expired) I tried to exchange the value of what I bought for dresses, but they said it wasn't allowed. Apparently parents get ONE shot to get EXACTLY right what their kids want or you aren't allowed to use your coupon cash! One of the worst customer experiences ever had. Will NEVER shop here again. Go to Marshalls! Way better prices anyway.

Children’s Place has great clothes but they are huge ripoffs! They gave me over $300 in Place cash for an order I made. Last night when I tried to use 6 since that’s the limit I can use at a time, it was rejected by the site! The Place cash was within the time frame to be used but today I figured out the reason. They were in the process of raising their prices to make the items look like you were getting a deal when in fact you’re not. When I used the Place cash today the prices ended up being the same as they were last night before they raised the prices! Such a ripoff!!!

Guaranteed shipping my foot. Placed an order for a dress for my daughter to wear on Easter Sunday on April 1st. It’s now April 20th and the order is shipped but UPS is still waits for the package!! Easter is tomorrow and my daughter doesn’t have a dress. I called customer service and she said I have to wait 7 to 10 business days for a refund!! I have been shopping at Children’s Place since my 1st son was child. He’s now 20 years old. If I’m desperate I might go to store and buy something, but for me to ever place an online order again, it’s not going to happen. Not in this lifetime or the next!

I called Children's Place and they told me bluntly since the order said it was delivered, is definitely delivered and that they can't help me. Am talking my $71. UPS said Children's Place can put in that the package is lost but of course Children's Place will not do it.

I placed an online order a few weeks ago and received a package a little over a week later; which I thought was a little long but that isn't the problem. Within the package were several items, none of which were any of what I ordered. The packing slip reflected the items that I'd ordered correctly though. I called the customer service number and ended up with someone clearly not in this country that had to keep putting me on hold to figure out what to do. He sent me an email with a shipping label to return the incorrect items and said that a replacement order would be sent right away.
After about a week I tried to call again and kept getting the "we are experiencing heavy call volumes, please try your call again later" with no option to continue to hold. So I sent an email and received a response that my replacement order would be to me within 7 days. I have yet to receive my order and have since tried AGAIN to call and get the same recording and getting disconnected. I've sent another email requesting a refund and of course haven't heard a word about that now either. NEVER AGAIN.

I bought items online, returned at retail store and never getting refund. I talked to several customer care personnel. Every time I was told it takes 5-7 days to refund and it has been almost 4 months. Nobody seems to care but not giving back the refund is unacceptable... Case #**.

So, today I went to Children’s Place, and it was a very tragic experience. I was knee deep in clothes for my little girl, and I realized I forgot my wallet in the car, I have at least 12 things picked out by then. So, I went and picked up my wallet and went back. As I was picking out clothes, this family came in and they weren’t happy with each other. Of course, they came to the section I was in (go figure.). Then, they started arguing RIGHT BESIDE ME. I was terrified. They were hollering at each other, and I thought they were gonna start swinging.
To top it off they were looking for the same sizes I was. I got nervous because I was about to be in a brawl that I didn’t want to be in. I hurried and got what I wanted and went to a checkout line. Then, there was a woman who was yelling at her son for crying, and it made me think, well shoot, I do the same thing to my daughter. That made me realize that I am a bad mom. This experience has me never wanting to go into that store again. All in all it was a great life experience! I gave it four for the cute unicorn shorts I bought for my daughter.

We placed almost a 300 purchase for my kiddos. All went well. Confirmation number. 3 days later...cancelled...no reason. Money still pending in account. Could not reorder cancelled items. The customer service representative, would not say why it was cancelled. They wanted to talk to my bank first. What the heck?? The order was cancelled. Why do they still want to talk to my bank. They said it was a normal procedure. I have ordered many things online. It's not normal to cancel without reason and refuse to give answers unless they talk to my bank.

An online order was placed five weeks ago, with the wrong sized items being delivered the following week. I called customer service and after a 45 minute phone call the representative stated the correct sized item would be reshipped and delivered the following week. Two weeks past and no items were ever sent. I called again and was told that the representative never placed my new order. So again, after another 45 minute call the supervisor assured me that the delivery was set and I would receive the item within 5-10 business days.
Two weeks after that call no items arrived. I then made a THIRD phone call and was told there is nothing this company can do on their end until the product is received. She then proceeded to hang up on me. It has been almost three weeks since I was guaranteed the second shipment, with tracking, and the item hasn’t even been sent out yet. All in all I been waiting over SIX weeks for one item! This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company.

Updated on 04/09/2019: I got the best news from the Children’s Place representative today!! My package was lost in transit. That’s right. Lost in transit. Meanwhile the UPS website says the label has been created and it’s on its way to UPS. They can’t help until the 11th day, meanwhile they have a 10 business day policy, I SMELL **! Abby which is probably a fake name puts her supervisor on and offers me the best deal they have and that’s 800 reward point. No I don’t want your reward points. I want my money back. They can’t refund me my money. Whoever the CEO OF CHILDREN'S PLACE is should be ashamed of themselves taking innocent people's money and not delivering what customers order. Stay far away from these con artist, thieves, crooks and scam artist.
Original Review: I placed an order last week and I still haven’t received my order. They are blaming UPS for not updating their system. Little do they know my husband works for UPS for the past 22 years. They say it’s in transit, no it’s not, label is still being created. Then they told me the package was delivered to USPS on April 1st. Called USPS. They haven’t received anything. They are liars and take your money and don’t want to help you at all. I will never order from them again. They lost a customer for good. I can care less about their sales. I rather spend more money knowing I will get my package on time. Stay far away from these CROOKS!!!

I made an online order on March 28, 2019. It was to be delivered on the 5th according to the first e-mail, then I receive an e-mail saying my package was delivered, but I didn’t receive a package, so I called Customer Service who then said they would have to open a case and investigate with UPS, so now I have to wait 3 more weeks, and then they stated that I won’t get my money back or the order shipped again, will never shop at The Children’s Place again.

Whatever you do, DO NOT get a credit card with these folks! Because my bank sometimes accepts the "0" in front of the account number and sometimes doesn't, when I went to pay the account online, it got rejected and they charged me a fee of $27. They will tempt you with coupons and discounts to get their credit card, but take no prisoners when it comes to mess-ups like these. Buyer beware!

Terrible treatment in the store in Fredericton, NB Canada. Had to wait for my daughter to have access to the change room. I stood patiently for about 20 minutes during which time the store Manager stopped by and looked at me and another customer and walked away. After this the other customer told me there is another change room in the store which I was unaware of since I do not shop in the baby section. Finally my daughter got changed. Next my phone lost battery and I could not access my Children's Place $10 off coupon but had shown it to the cashier earlier when daughter was changing. She could not help me out and I asked her when I could charge my phone up on her computer and she said no and then I asked her for an electrical outlet where I could charge my phone and she directed me to one.
Next the Store Manager stopped by to see what I was doing and I told her I had to wait for 20 minutes for a change room when there was one available and she did not have the common sense to tell me about the other change room. Next she grabbed the clothes I had in my hands and marched off to the cash register stating 'I have to get you out of here'. Then I told her at the cash that you should have a workaround for the $10 off coupon and she blatantly looked at me and said, "Pardon me." And I indicated the cashier knew I had a coupon but couldn't help me. She said, "I am the Manager and only I can only authorize coupon" and I indicated, "The cashier should be able to ask you to authorize it!" Anyway long story short I NEVER WILL SHOP THERE AGAIN.

I placed an order on The Children’s Place website. The order was processed, I received an email with tracking details. I received an email stating that my order was delivered on my mailbox, but there was nothing from Children's Place. I never got the package. I checked the address, the address is correct, but no items in sight. Still hasn't shown up. I contacted their customer service and they said there is nothing they can do, since tracking shows the order was delivered, they cannot refund you at this time. I placed a smaller order a day after my first big order and I did receive that one. Big loss on the 1st order, as they said they can only give back some points a and not a refund for the entire purchase of $90.00.

As I was leaving the Country (USA) for next 5 yrs, I called and made all the required payments and told them to close my credit card in the first week of June 2017. Unfortunately even after making all the payments of about 300 Dollars made in last few months some $3 and few remained pending to be paid in my account. And so to my ignorance my The Children's Place credit card was not closed. (As I had just got my place credit card in April, I still didn't have my physical card yet). I left the country on June 9th 2017.
Fast Fwd few months and in March 2018, when my friends brings me all the mail to the country where I stay now, I see a The Children's Place bill of $211, shocking and surprised I call them and they connect me with the bank and they ask me to make settlement payment of $70 dollars instead, so I immediately make it and tell them to close my credit card as I no longer want it. This last conversation happened on March 12th. They tell me I will receive the notification and it will take at least 10 -15 days to close the bank account and for me to get the confirmation And so I believed them.
Fast forward almost a year later, when I get new sets of mails from my friend I see to more charges from The Children's Place 1) June 23rd with a new balance of $31 which states $14.50 is the fees charged on $17 previous payment. 2) 1st Jan that my debt of $182 dollars is moved to payment collector. Where did I go wrong, after paying once and for all settlement fees of $70. This is the first time ever I have confronted such issue which is spoiling my credit score. Please customers Don't get lure by The Children's Place's cashiers and employees in getting a credit card done for the just getting a discount of 15% extra. Their bank which handles the retail chain's finances sucks. It is just a trap.

I placed an order with children place and I received an email that my order shipped 01/24... I placed another order 01/25 and 01/27. The orders that I placed later I received before the order that shipped 01/24. (I still didn't received that order.) I called the CS to ask them what is going on with my package as I was already charged under my credit card for it. I also said that the tracking number is not changing and in the system shows "in transit to UPS" for 8 days now.
THE CS rep on the phone said IT TAKES UP TO 10 DAYS (I called on 02/01) and let them know that my order is pending under the website. I called yesteday because the order status is still not changing and I did not received my order but my credit card was charged. The rep on the phone said that it was UPS fault so I called the UPS and UPS said that the tracking number of my order is not correct and it was an error on Children's Place side.
The order is lost, so I called back because my credit card was charged and the rep said she cannot refunded my account. Only she can give me 700 points towards my account to cover the lost. The thing is I dont want rewards points as the stuff that I wanted are now out of stock, AND THERE IS NOTHING similar to stuff that were lost... Plus the points have expiration date that if I won't use them they expire... So please be careful and track your packages if you are ordering with Children's Place... If the order is in transit for more than 5 days it is probably lost.

I have been a Children's Place customer and cardholder for less than a year. I like the clothing they offer because the graphic tees are fun and cute and usually a pretty good deal when sales and rewards are combined. That being said, I have placed multiple online orders going back to December 2018 and each one of them has been cancelled a few hours to a day after I placed the order! I had my first 2 orders with them go through when I first got the card, but every order since has been cancelled without explanation! I have enough money on the card, all of my billing and shipping info is correct, and still my orders are cancelled!
As a separate, but related issue, given my feudal attempts at ordering online... I needed the clothing I purchased online for my children who are growing out of their current sizes of clothing. Since I wasn't able to order the clothes online, I took the time to go into a brick and mortar store. I went at the beginning of January, 2019, and when I went to make my purchase at the store, again, I had more than enough money to pay for my purchase on my Children's Place Credit Card. When I went to pay for my items, my card was declined repeatedly!
Finally, the associate called customer service for Children's Place and put me on the phone with the representative. Since it was after hours at their main headquarters, all this representative could tell me was that for some reason I only had $132 available to spend on my card, however, when I looked at the Children's place app on my phone, at that very same moment, I saw that I had over $400 as an available balance. The representative couldn't tell me the reason for the discrepancy, just that that was all I could spend a that moment or my card would be declined! I was floored! I wanted to void my transaction and leave the store, but my child needed the clothing, so I used all of the credit I was allowed and paid the rest with another form of payment...
Fast forward to three days ago when I went to try and make another order online as I had $15 in rewards bucks and a 20% coupon waiting in my account. I made my order and paid with my rewards bucks, used my coupon, and paid the balance with my Children's Place card. I received an email within five minutes confirming my order and it stated I would be emailed when my order was being shipped. An hour later I received an email that my order had been cancelled, for no reason!!! Not only that, but I checked my account and my available balance was short the amount I paid for the order and my rewards bucks were still gone!
The latest order was placed on February 3rd, and I still, as of February 08th, 2019, have not had my rewards bucks returned to my account. And, I just received an email asking, "Am I using my Children's Place card to its full potential," and that I have money on my card to spend. I received my package yesterday. Got all the items I ordered, package was addressed to me but the receipt was not mine. It was another customer completely different state with all her personal info one including her address. This means someone has my correct receipt, along with my personal address and info on it. I called, and they basically gave me the run around “and it would be escalated”. Also, took me three times one I was hung up in because I asked to speak to someone in the United States.
I am not ok with this. How many times can this happen? Or has happened and parents, family members personal address is sent to someone else? When I told the supervisor in the United States that I was personally going to send this person their receipt and explain what happened, she said, "Oh we can let them know..." obviously not explaining my story. Don’t think she would do anything, if I didn’t explain my plans. Very unprofessional. I am not happy about this.

I placed an order on The Children’s Place website. The order was processed, I received an email with tracking details, three days ago received an email stating that my order was delivered on my mailbox, but there was nothing in the mailbox from Children's Place. I never got the package. I checked the address, the address is correct, but no items in sight. still hasn't shown up. I contacted their customer service representative and they said there is nothing they can do, since tracking shows the order was delivered, they cannot refund you at this time. Do not waste your time or money on this company.

I ordered an outfit for my granddaughter last month for her birthday. I was told it would take 5 business days to arrive. Ten business days after placing the order, it still wasn't delivered, and I got no updates from them on the delivery so I called. The order also wasn't showing up in my account online. I called three times to fix this, but it remains unfixed. Then, I got an email saying one of the items could not be fulfilled, so only a partial order was going out. They said it would take 10 days.
Then, I got a notice by email saying it had been delivered via UPS which gave it to USPS last week. But there was nothing in the mailbox from Children's Place. Now, a week later, it still hasn't shown up, and the Children's Place said there is nothing they can do. They offered to give me 'Points' in my account for less than the amount of the purchase and delivery charges. This was a customer deliver fail from the moment. Do not buy from them, unless you don't mind having them take your money for nothing in return.

I placed an order due to receiving an email advertisement from Children’s Place. The order was processed, I received an email with tracking details, and today received an email stating that my order was delivered. Where!? I checked the address, the address is correct, but no items in sight. I checked the mailbox thinking maybe they were placed there for some odd reason, Nope! Upset I searched the website for a customer service number, no contact number. Listed only a email!
I have emailed customer service, but now reading the reviews I do not believe I will physically receive the items. Completely unexpected especially because I’ve been doing most of my baby shopping online and received all of them including my OshKosh orders. This is truly disappointing and unfortunate that so many others have experienced the same thing. Highly upset and looking forward to somehow getting my money back for the lost items. Or at least speaking with a live person (customer service) regarding my order.

I purchased an order of about 7 pairs of girl's leggings online that were discounted price so the order came to about $40. The website had some glitch and put my order in twice. I called right away and asked them to to fix it and they stated that once an order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled... which I understand cause they state that on the website. The lady told me I can drive to my nearest store and return them... I can not because the reason why I order online is because my nearest store is 4 hours away. She offered to send message to the distribution center to alert them to not fill the second order.
The next day I got email that both orders had been fulfilled and were on the way. I called back immediately and told them they needed to find a satisfactory way for me to get my second $40 back. They again wanted me to drive the 4 hour trip to return them, which I again refused. Their second attempt was they told me that if I don't want to drive them then I can pay my own postage and send them back... Yes she told me I have to pay my own postage! Ummmm nope I shouldn't have to pay to return stuff I didn't order!! I told her to send me a prepaid postage label and she said they won't cover the cost of returns.
I asked to speak to her supervisor at that time. Supervisor finally agreed to email me a prepaid postage and she admitted they are trained to try to make the customers pay the postage and only supervisors are allowed to offer the postage paid labels. I am not going to be shopping with this company again. There are Many online retailers out there and from now on I will be choosing a different retailer.

Order never reached me! I contacted them and they said, "Oh tracking says delivered" and "We not help you." I said, "But I did not receive. Help me." They ignore me and repeat same. Children's Place has lost me as a customer after 13 years. I went to return pajamas WITH tags, WITH receipt on January 19, 2019 and were told that I was 3 days past the return deadline (of which I had no knowledge). I've heard of return deadlines where you can only get store credit afterward but one in which the company could easily resell the products (with tags, never worn) but won't, on a technicality, is draconian and unacceptable. I've heard of no-store-credit after 60 or 90 days - but 45? The value of my return was $15 and the value of their inability to give me store credit was years more of loyalty - gone in moments. It's probably why a chain like this will probably be the next one to go belly-up, losing good customers on mindless corporate policies, applied inhumanely. They could do better. I don't complain often but this was unacceptable.

Cortney said it had to have tag on it to return but she would return this time but it was defective. If I had known I would of kept tag that something was going to be wrong with it. Placed 2 good sized orders for Christmas presents and didn’t get one of the boxes of my first order. Tried emailing and calling customer support. Waited on phone for over an hour on hold. Placed another order because I’ve never had problems with them before but now my new order had items not being tracked. It has been an absolute nightmare. My daughter’s Christmas shoes and sweaters did not arrive. I was never refunded my money and the site still shows that those items are awaiting shipping updates. I finally had to dispute with my credit card company and now I’ve been blocked from purchasing on their site. I spend lots with this company but never again. Do not waste your time or money on this company.

Updated on 02/16/2019: Phoned 6 times regarding this and was promised numerous times through email and phone that someone would contact and nothing. That was 2 months ago. Issue was a location not accepting the Place Rewards that they handed out. THAT'S FRAUD. Look it up, no bother to fix this was ever addressed.
Original Review: Not surprised this center is closing, rude manager, staff smokes outside front door also. Ridiculous what myself and other customers have been through. Received "Place Cash Rewards," to be used December 27th to January 11th, from this location. Went back Dec 27th, myself and 2 other ladies had a stack of clothes to purchase, standing in line they refused to accept their "Place Reward Cash," coupons... WHAT??? WHY??? We asked. "Because we are closing" the manager says, "You've saved enough!" WHAT?? "We just spent an HOUR shopping in your store, and you won't accept the coupons that we earned?" That's FRAUD.
All of us dropped our purchases on the counter and walked out! The deals were 50% off, the same deals at the other stores. Manager stood there, not talking or caring in any way. You would think if they are closing they would want to move the merchandise. Called the head office and some district manager finally called back a week later and he was rude, I couldn't believe it, he said "that location is closing, what do you want me to do!" Called back to their head office and waited for a manager for 3 hours, finally got someone who said they would have a person call me who was in charge of Canada Children's Place. Week later no call. No one cares, called again yesterday, as I believe this is so wrong and unfair to customers. This time they promised me someone would call me back within 24 hours! No call. So I am now telling others of this experience.
IT IS FRAUD. To promise the use of a future coupon with a current purchase, and then not accept that coupon is considered fraud to profit that person/company. I spent an hour shopping there in good faith to be treated badly by staff and then by a district manager. They handed these coupons out, so they were participating in the program. I have tried to avoid this location because of the rude staff, by reading other reviews, I see I am not the only one.

I had couple gift card. I wanted to consolidate it into one gift card to gift that to someone. So at store I went to purchase gift card through gift card. The sales person did not mention that I cannot purchase gift card through gift card and she swiped both the gift card and later said it is not working. She said the she voided the transactions but all the balance on those gift cards is gone. Since then I visited the store, talked to the store manager but no outcome. They took my $46 without giving me anything on return. I don't know how come inefficiency of store salesman or their program issue is customer's fault. Since then I really hate this store.

I have had too many bad experiences with this company... Never again will I try to purchase from them. I'll order stuff thinking it's on its way. A week later I'll get an email stating the items are no longer available, this time I ordered for Christmas a bunch of stuff. It got shipped to the wrong address. I told them to just ship it to the right address when they receive it back. "Oh no, we can't do that." "Are you kidding me? All those gifts I ordered for Christmas and you won't ship it to me??" They are horrible and could care less. They just lost a customer.

I ordered clothing for a family of 5 children who lost their mother. The ages was 1 years, 3 years, 5 years, 7 years and 10 years old. I ordered the things for Christmas on December 8, 2018. I called on the day that they was suppose to arrive. They never arrived. I called the company and was informed they would provide me with a credit in the amount that I paid for the items. I have not heard from them since. This breaks my heart because those kids did not get the clothing for Christmas. Very disappointing.

I had a late payment charge to my account a couple of months after owning the card in 2017. They removed it with no issue. I just recently received a late payment on the card in November because I was out of town for the holiday. I called customer service to get it removed and they refused to remove it. I called again and spoke with a supervisor and he had to audacity to tell me that it is my responsibility to pay my credit card on time! Which is true but it is also their responsibility to send out statements and I have not received one in months! I signed up for the paperless statements and never received a statement via email in months. Customer service sucks! They are willing to lose a good customer over a late payment fee...SMH! When I use this card I usually pay it off in full or pay it in two installments! They are nuts!!!

I ordered three items (two of which were sets), and I was only shipped two. The other item didn't show up in any of the emails or confirmations, but I sure was charged for it. I've called customer service numerous times, only to be kicked off the system for "high call volumes." I've messaged them on Facebook, with only an automated response that they'll get back to me, and they never do. I can't get ahold of anyone to resolve the issue, and I'm assuming even if I did they wouldn't be of any help. On top of that, the one set I did receive was terrible quality. I will NEVER shop at the Children's Place again.

Ordered my kids dresses for Christmas, received the order on 12/19, the package had my name and info on it however when I opened the bag it was someone else's order. It was a bag of boy clothes. I called and asked them to correct it, they stated it would take 10 business days to receive. I asked if since they messed up if they would expedite the order, they stated no. So now I have to go out and get new dresses (spend more money) and someone else has my name and address. Thanks. They were not helpful at all when I called. Sat on hold for 48 minutes. I thought this was a nice store until I had to deal with the stupid people that work there. They left the security sensor on the clothes and when I called to let them know the manager just laughed about it. Is this something they do all the time? I will not drive all the way back to the store to have untrained bad mannered little girls have to take something off the cheap clothes I bought. I will count this as a loss or go to YouTube to see if there is a way to get them off. From now on I will go to a store where I know the people aren’t so stupid. Justice is right next to this cheap store and the people there are so much nicer and the clothes are a better quality.

The Children’s Place is going to be in huge trouble this year! I got a call from a nice lady in NY telling me that she received part of my order. I received an order for someone in Rhode Island. I didn’t have hours to set on hold with Customer Service so I drove an hour to the closest store. They could not resolve the issue. They couldn’t send the items to RI, they couldn’t refund or fill my order. They said to call CP tomorrow 15 minutes before they open so I could get through. We all know that’s not going to happen. I’m only missing 2 items so I’m counting it as loss for me but I shop there a lot and the loss for them will be greater. My outside label was correct but the inside was wrong! Children’s Place this could be a fatal error. These are Christmas gifts that won’t be under the tree. People have prepaid and they’ve been robbed by your incompetence. They told me to keep the wrong order that I received. Lunacy!!! Someone is missing their pajamas.

I will never shop at the Children's Place again. Both times my experiences were the same. Canceled items that were available for me to order but I never received an email saying the item was no longer available. (My opinion items shouldn't say they're available and you pay for them if you're not going to receive your items.) I'm very upset. I bought my family matching Christmas PJs and my son is the one pair that now is no longer available. Why do I have to call about my order and wait on hold for over 30 minutes and all they can do is apologize for what happened. Like I said this isn't the first time it's happened. Change the problem. I don't recommend anyone to trust this company. Terrible customer service. And I order on Dec 4th.

They canceled my order 6 days after I placed it with no reason or explanation, reordered the products and was told they’d arrive on a Monday, a week later it finally arrived with the security sensor still on it. My issue with this company has been the same as all the other reviewers. They will cancel parts of your orders even when items are still in stock. I ordered 2 pairs of baby shoes and just threw in socks to make an even amount. They cancelled both of my shoes ordered. I didn't get a notification of that until ONE WEEK of me trying to contact them because I checked the order status online. I tell her to cancel the 2 pair of socks also because I didn't need them. No reply. Then I get a message on 12/6 saying they shipped ONE PAIR OF SOCKS. Waited days... Kept reaching out because I have 2 charges for each pair of socks...
On the 12/11 I get another email. The OTHER PAIR OF SOCKS shipped. The one shipped on the 6th, still no update on tracking number. I'm still emailing them and calling - nothing. Today I get an email saying they're delivered. And lovely ** Jennifer responds to ONE of my 1938338382 emails saying that according to their records my order has been delivered already. LOL. WHAT A JOKE COMPANY. Thankfully I had reached out to my bank by the 5th of December explaining why I was not to be charged for the 6.02 and after a few days got my money back. This company should just close down today, right now. Useless. Save your time and money and just go to Carter's or anywhere else but this.

Ordered 3 items 2 weeks ago. Tracking shows all 3 items shipped together. Received only 1 item in the package. Called customer service. First lady said there wasn't anything she could do. Talked to the manager she said she would email a coupon for the amount of the other 2 items. She said it would take 24 to 48 hours to get it. I just hung up with the Customer Service Department after being on the phone for 2 1/2 hours!! Between the 30 minute hold times and my call escalating up the ladder I am raging! My experience started in store. I went to do some Christmas shopping and had been in there for about an hour when I found out from a fellow consumer that the website was 60% off everything no exclusions. So I went up to checkout to ask the ladies if they matched the price and was told “no sorry they don’t let us”. No big deal, right? WRONG!
I give the lady my bag and go home to get that 60% off. Everything was going just fine until I got to checkout. I get to the end and find out if I apply for a Children’s Place credit card I can get 30% off my total so I decided I better take advantage of this good deal and get some stuff for my boys (I usually shop elsewhere for them). I had a budget of $300. I get to my goal, apply for the card, and proceed to checkout. However there are two totals 1 that says estimated total $410 and another that shows my 30% off total of $270. I’ve already filled out my shipping info so I’m at the submit order screen.
I have no clue which total I’m being charged because both of them are showing and next to the submit button is NOTHING. So I pause and find a customer service number because $410 is wayyy outside of my budget and I have more shopping to do. I call customer service and they’re closed on Sundays!! Are you kidding me? How do you run an online business and you don’t have customer service available 7 days a week?! I decided to proceed with my order since I DID apply for the credit card and I already had to change out a bunch of stuff that was in my cart because it sold out before I could check out. And guess what happened after I submitted my order?! Spelled out loud and clear that I was charged $410. Where was this clarity on the previous screen?! No problem right I’ll just cancel my order and shop elsewhere, WRONG again.
After searching high and low I finally found out that once a order is submitted you can NOT cancel it!! I have to wait until my order comes in, which by looking at some of these other very recent reviews, I shouldn’t hold my breath to then go back to the same store that couldn’t match the prices and get my money back. I am livid, it is close to Christmas, and they were no help. I’m so sorry that happened. You have to use the credit card to receive that 30% off promotion. My response how am I going to use a card that I just applied for today?
Apparently there is a coupon code I was suppose to receive so that I could apply it to my order. There was NOT or else I would have applied it. Then they tell me that when I receive my card in the mail that I can apply the 30% off of my next purchase. There will NEVER be a next purchase. Have they lost their mind!! I do all of my shopping online and my kids I prefer in store shopping and I have never had a store NOT match their online prices, not have customer service available 7 days a week, or not be able to turn around and cancel my order online.

Well I have placed an order which part shipped and 5 still pending, on November 29th I got an email saying my order has been shipped, so I decided to track it. To my surprise USPS had no record of the shipping took place or they have received the items, fast forward to Dec 13th, 2018 and still no shipping details and cannot get through to customer service due to high call volume. I am furious because this is Christmas presents. I am going to call my bank and have them dispute this charge as I am noticing this is a pattern with this company. They need to go out of business. This is the 2nd time I've ordered online from this company and I am so sorry I gave them a 2nd chance. The first time I ordered online was about 2 months ago. I initially went online to buy a winter coat for my youngest daughter and ended up buying a few other items as well. 5 days after purchasing, I get an email saying the coat has been canceled from my order. Supposedly it was "unavailable". I called customer service and they couldn't give me a reason why it said it wasn't available and they offered to take $10 off so I could reorder. Eventually I received the items but shipping was beyond SLOW. I placed my 2nd order last week for some knit sweaters and long sleeved tshirts. Get an email 5 days after ordering that 3 of the 5 items I ordered were "unavailable".
I check online and the same items are still there listed as in stock. I call customer service yet again and they have no logical explanation as to why this happened. I am offered another $10 off code to resubmit the same order again. Upon going online to enter the code it doesn't give me $10 off... it somehow only deducts $6.48. At this point I'm beyond pissed and don't care to complain about the issue with the discount. I place the order and I'm done. I get an email the next day stating that my order has been canceled, AGAIN! No reason whatsoever! I am DONE wasting my time and money with this company.

I ordered three items: puffer jacket, hat and gloves. However, the package that was delivered contained a pair of boots with someone else's billing and shipping information. I have been charged for the items I ordered but not received them. I have been calling and trying to contact someone since the end of November but the call volume is so high that I have not been able to reach anyone. I sent an email to the customer service email address and received a generic message stating that I would receive a response within 48 hours. It's now been almost a month and I have not received a response from anyone. I'm not sure who has my items nor do I know what else to do. I am an avid Children's Place shopper but after this experience, I will never order from them again. It looks like my only recourse is to contact my bank and dispute the charge--EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

I ordered 8 items on Black Friday. 7 were delivered right away. The 8th item has been sitting as “processing” this entire time. I have tried calling over 15 times, and the phones say they are busy and to call back later, then automatically hang up. I have written over 20 of the emails and have gotten zero response. I have placed several orders and they have all been canceled and the money is being held in pending on PayPal and my credit card. This is 12/7/18 and I have orders still pending from 11/15/18! I sent them an email and they never responded. I waited for an hour to talk to a rep and she told me the orders were canceled due to the shipping and billing addresses being different. She assured me that if I order again it will go through. I ordered and yet again they canceled. 7 orders! They have hundreds of dollars pending for 21 days, I have no clue when it will be released but there goes my kids' Christmas. I contacted the BBB and filed a claim. Hopefully that will make a difference.

I wish I had read the reviews before I ever dealt with this place. First of all, like many, two items out of my Black Friday order were canceled. Ok, fine, they at least refunded my money. But then they sent me the wrong order!!! On my receipt it says I can take it to the store so I did just that but the manager there tells me there’s absolutely nothing she can do because I don’t have the correct items. Well of course I don’t because your company sent me the wrong items! That’s why I’m here! So she gives me a phone number to call but I can’t get through to a representative. I placed several orders starting on Cyber Monday. I purchased many coordinating clothing for each of my grandchildren and had separate orders to be shipped to all of them. Some of the orders were for holiday dress and pajamas to match their siblings. I am so upset and disgusted by The Children's Place lack of professionalism and dysfunctional website and shipping. I had over 14 cancellations and many coordinating items for siblings not shipped!
I used my discount code and was then overcharged when they only sent a few of the items from my large orders! I was sent another woman's receipt with all her information on it! I am so furious and to top things off their customer service number gives a recording saying they are not able to take my call at this time due to high call volume and promptly hang up! Unbelievable! I have never had this before when I ordered from Gymboree and Crazy 8 or Carter's! I'll never trust The Children's Place again!

I ordered matching Christmas pajamas for my kids and only received one of the two and when I went to check my order it had canceled my son's but there was no explanation why so I went and reordered them and it canceled once again. I had called customer service and she said it's been canceled because they are out of stock but yet the website still showed that they were selling them. It's my son's first Christmas and my daughter wanted them to have matching pajamas but needless to say they can't now. I'm very unhappy. I would have ordered different ones if I was notified.

Children's Place is the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I made a purchase during their Black Friday "Spend $20, Get $20", making a purchase of over $40 worth of stuff and I have regretted it ever since. Their customer service is incompetent at best and constantly gave me made-up answers to my problems. It's like they don't even look into my account before answering my request. Half of my order was canceled 2 FULL DAYS after I ordered and they only notified me after the package shipped. So I was skimmed out of the Place cash I should have received AND the Christmas presents I had purchased. Then when I emailed to complain and at least asked for the $20 for the over $20 I spent, one customer service person told me I had gotten it already and another tried to tell me that I wasn't eligible.
When I called in they made the excuse that "it just takes time to get it." Even though I had already gotten the other Place cash for the previous order I'd made. Finally, after talking to a "manager" (who I assume was the manager because she sounded like the same woman I had been talking to) she told me I would just have to wait for December, then they would be able to "give out the Place codes" so I would just have to wait. Then to add to all of that the package never arrived and is being sent back to Children's Place, not by my request. (Thanks, USPS).
So now, I have to wait 7-10 business days for the package to arrive back at their warehouse and THEN wait another undetermined amount of time for the refund. When I called for the refund she told me they couldn't tell me how long the refund would take once they received the package. So, that's great. I don't normally post these kinds of things. But I am one person against a huge company and their customer service is a joke so it does no good to complain there. So here I am, I have to share something and let people know that if you shop at Children's Place I hope you never have a problem because you will be treated very poorly. I never want to shop there again. Seeing all these recent reviews, I'm thinking that I'm not the only one.

I placed an order during TCP’s Black Friday sale, and received it today. One of the items came with a security tag still attached, and the one item I needed for a function was not included. I called customer service and waited 10 minutes before being disconnected - TWICE! The third time, I waited about 15 minutes for a representative to answer and asked for a manager. After holding another 45 minutes, I spoke with RHAYSA (a supposed customer service supervisor) about the item that had been canceled from my order but is showing available online. After going around with her several times about their lack of customer service in this matter, I explained that the item I had ordered was for next week, and if I simply placed a new order, it would no longer arrive on time for the event.
She offered me a $20 refund for Rush Shipping, and I just needed to call back with the call reference number and the order number to receive my refund. I verified that I understood what she was offering several times, and proceeded to hang up, place my order and call back. This time I waited for a person for 45 minutes and finally spoke with SAMUEL. He said that they did not do any sort of refund, credit or anything for shipping. I explained exactly what had happened with RHAYSA, and he put me on hold for 8 minutes while he “followed the case.”
He came back and confirmed again that they do not do that. I asked him why she would say that if not and why I would wait on hold for as long as I had if that were not the case. He put me on hold for another 5 minutes or so to go check with her. He came back and confirmed that they would not be doing the refund. So, basically, the first woman I spoke with lied to me to get me off the phone. I have never been so disappointed with a company that I previously adored in all my life. All SAMUEL was able to do was cancel the new order and give me points that will eventually convert into a coupon. So disappointing.

I placed an order on November 30th and have not received a confirmation. I went online to check the status and upon my review they have canceled 6 of my items, shipped 2 and 17 in process. First the 6 items they canceled are still available online. My question is why did they only ship 2 items, What is going to happen with the "processing" items? Will they be canceled as well? Last but not least my refund has not been made or any emails about me getting a refund. I have been shopping with The Children's Place for 13 years. This is the first time I have had issues ordering online. Looking at all these reviews makes me wonder if the company have gotten sold and management has been changed? These were Christmas gifts my children. One of my babies is my step daughter and wanted to make sure I could ship all of her goodies in time. I am highly upset and will not be placing anymore orders online.

I placed a order on Saturday 12/1 for $118 dollars, 22 items with a $10 coupon. I got an e-mail Sunday 12/3 that only 1 of the 22 items had shipped. I checked my online account this morning, 12/4 only to see that 10 of the 22 items had been cancelled and the updated order summary showed a balance of $78.00 with $0.00 in coupons applied. I called customer service and was advised that the items were not in stock. I checked the website and the sizes I ordered were still being advertised as in stock on the site.
I asked about the coupon and representative told me unfortunately the coupon could not be used again and that she could add 100 points to my account. I would have never used my $10 off coupon had I known I would just lose it. The full $118 is still pending from my account and was advised that once the remainder of the items ship, my final price would be updated, but I think it's crazy how they take your money and with disregard for items being in stock or available. It's Christmas time. Now I have to wait for the remainder of my original order to ship before I can order more things and hope that they will ship. I like services such as Amazon where no money is taken or pending until the item actually ships. This is much better for the customers.

We are a simple family. I participated in a Black Friday sales. I have a Children’s Place credit card. I have waited two days at home to make sure my package would not be stolen because it doesn’t come with the confirmation. I took time we could have been at military events. The thing that put a bad taste in my mouth when I confirmed the address of my sisters shipping address when I confirm the purchase it did not process Her address. It proceeds to come to my house. I call customer service. They tell me there’s nothing they could do that it was my mistake. That’s fine OK first problem dismissed it small qualm. Then this weekend I wasted hours of time doing things at home with the family when I could’ve been out making memories at events the kids getting to see Santa. I stayed home waiting for my package. That didn’t come. Strike two.
Strike three is canceling on order I made and not notifying me no point to contact even made note email no explanation just canceling that. It’s bad enough on my items are partially shipped it. I’m expecting like 10 different boxes or more. Not to mention the items that I bought on Cyber Monday the shipment I tried to have shipped my sister. I have family back home that is struggling. They got displaced. Their financial means is limited. My family got together and decided to take on one child each to buy items for and take care of. I bought necessities that this child needs for cold weather and one outfit so when she goes with her mother to a doctors appointment she could look nice. It is a week later they are saying they're still processing and with their words processing.
I have took those as we are determining if we’re going to cancel because we don’t know if we have a product that we sold you but we’re going to initially take back and not tell you about so you think you got everything you paid for. I did not use coupons or discounts on that purchase. Our use only Cyber Monday deals. Now on one of my purchases they decided to cancel items are not notifying me. Why am I upset? Because canceling pajamas and not notifying. Apparently that you don’t have that in you. Tell me my package arrived. I’m supposed to wait till this package gets here whenever that is. God knows when for me to find out that the items I ordered are not in the package. Even though I have an order confirmation number on top of that I now have to recalculate and budget In finding those valuable items I thought I had.
I have never had a problem with Children’s Place before. I have ordered many things from Children’s Place when using my debit card. Now that I have a credit card they have the option to cancel or do whatever they please that’s crazy. I could almost guarantee that as soon as the holidays are over I’m canceling and never purchasing again. I am displeased to the fullest. And of course they do this and they revoked a lot of the double earning. The cash yeah I bought stuff on double earn days pretty much got one as I would normally. Not pleased. I don’t like the online store whatsoever. As of now that was my last purchase. I will continue to buy in store so I know the item I need will be there. As someone who’s been shopping with Children’s Place online often on since my daughter was born 11 years ago I am certainly displeased how this is changed.
My daughters coat that I ordered two days ago is still pending as well so gotta re-analyze and re-budget my books and get my daughter a coat from someplace else. Products are great most the time. Customer service ** you can’t talk to anybody unless it’s during their time zone and when you do talk to someone they give you a run around. When I order something online and I get order confirmation to me that is a contract of guarantee that Item will be shipped to me. Not that they will pick and choose who gets what and they will cancel your order without notifying you so you’re gonna wait for a package that probably will never come. As someone who worked in retail this is the most shoddy job I’ve ever seen but I won’t hold it against the retail stores that I shop at because they tend to be on their stuff most days. This is strictly about online order purchases cancellations customer service.
The only reason I got the credit card is the ease of purchasing online and the less likelihood that my debit card would be compromised making a purchase. On that note thank you for throwing my budget off. On top of I don’t know if my family members child who I said I would cover for Christmas will have their stuff on Christmas Day. Simply sad. Even if I was to pay the most expensive shipping I probably wouldn’t have said items. Seven days I’m willing to wait. It should be here about this time but I am still waiting to find out what’s going on with my niece's clothes. Not acceptable. Are currently making cancellations on items that you do you use your $10 Children’s Place on cash on. Don’t bother you want it go in and get it.
Online orders are not taken seriously and they don’t keep stock of warehouse items. As sad as it is I lost out on a lot of deals from stores like Justice and Old Navy because I took The confirmation of purchase seriously. They need to either update their system, get rid of people that don’t track that items properly. There’s a lot of rehaul they need to do to fix this problem. This is not a small problem I am not the only one upset about this. I mean I can personally say the sales associates at the stores are a lot more responsible than the online shopping. You want your stuff go buy it at the store. Don’t go online shopping. You will get either ripped off or a guarantee of nothing because they cancel the order.

I recently got a credit card with The Children's Place and bought clothes for my children for this winter. They gave me a 40% discount for my purchase. Next thing I see is that they canceled 6 items from my order without emailing me about it. I called to see why they canceled those 6 items and the lady from customer support told me that the reason why they had canceled them was because they gave me too much discount. And then she changed everything to telling me that the things were out of stock and I told her that I still see them in stock. She then said they were going to reward me with place cash and that I could go ahead and order the canceled items again. So stupid me did and they canceled 2 more items. Can anyone guess why. Because out of 100 dollars I bought I used 50 dollars place cash so that was too much discount. I going to wait for the items to arrive and return everything and cancel the credit.

I ordered two pairs of shoes on Black Friday... I got the order confirmation and shipping information later that day. The tracking number said my estimated delivery date was Tuesday Nov 26, on that day I received another email from The Children’s Place saying my packing would be arriving the next day. It is now Nov 30, I called UPS. They said I won’t be receiving it until sometime next week because the package was not ready on the 27th when they attempted their first pick up.
I called The Children’s Place today, I was on the phone for over an hour, the whole time they lied, first it was it shipped out the 23rd, then, "We don’t know UPS hasn’t updated," then, "You will get it Dec 5," then, "It’s out for delivery today," and then finally a, "I don’t know," and "We can’t resolve the problem until the package is delivered." So much for my niece having her gift on her birthday tomorrow. I will never use this company again, not because there was a shipping mess up but because they gave me the runaround for over an hour and they could not take responsibility.

I ordered 5 boots from this company on a Cyber Monday (November 2018). These are supposed to be presents for Christmas. Few hours after the order was placed, 2 of the boots were canceled. I called customer service that same day and was told to go to the store to get the items while the 3 items were being "processed" and my online account says that the orders were confirmed. I checked my online account Tuesday evening to track my orders only to find out that all the orders were canceled because the warehouse did not have the boots. Children's Place waited 2 days before they decided that they cannot fulfill all the orders and DID NOT EVEN INFORM ME ABOUT THE CANCELLATION.

I ordered 9 items online and got an email confirmation on all 9 items. Yesterday only 3 items were received. I check my account & no email or Children's Place notification on the other 6 being canceled. I then checked my bank activity and was only charged for the 3 items so it was no big deal. I emailed Children's Place about the other 6 items and they told me the rest were unavailable.
Today there was another charge of 36.82 for the remaining items on my bank activity. When I log on to my Children's Place acct. there is no pending order. After an hour on the phone and a half an hour on hold they verified the other 6 items were canceled and I was told to dispute the charge with my bank. Nope. You took it, you refund it. Asked to speak to a supervisor. Another half an hour on hold. He is trying to tell me it's only a pending charge. Not true. Yesterday there was a pending charge for $0.00. Today the funds were deducted. He claims since it's debit and not credit they take the funds out automatically but it will be released in 7 to 10 days. If that was the case I should have been charged the full amount right away and not 5 days after the fact. I want my money back.

Recently purchased Christmas Sleepers (4 in total) totaling 52.48 Canadian and returned all 4 back to the store. The store returns 52.40 and I am short 8 cents. I know it's not much but why should I give 8 cents for a company that didn't give me anything in return. Just like that if they do to million customers they just made money not doing anything? Store located at Pickering Town Center in Ontario CANADA said to call 1877 827 7895 as they are not able to return the money paid in the original order.

I was in the store last weekend looking for some winter clothes and shoes for my kids. I reached up for one of the boys hanging shoes (that is hanging on the wall) with my five year old son next to me, next thing I know I hear someone say, "EXCUSE ME", very loud. Before I had a chance to get down from my tippy toes (since I was in the middle of reaching for the shoes), this employee shoves me against the wall. I turned around to her and said, "Excuse me, you could have given me a minute." She continued walking to stock room without even looking at me and said, "I said excuse me and you didn't move!" My son asked me why she pushed me. I could not believe a store employee did this. Is this the kind of employee that Children's Place wants to have represent them?? WOW.

After speaking to 5 client reps and 2 supervisors nothing was done to satisfy a good client who buys from this store twice every 2 months. I am beyond dissatisfied with the corporate office and also the customer service number. Especially with the Washington Heights store in NYC. The manager should not manage a store if they cannot deal with a simple issue like mines. I will definitely share my experience with all my friends and family and create a telephone chain so everyone is aware. Too much to detail here but this company makes too much money to not be able to hire managers that are unqualified for retail.

So on 11-15-18 I went online to get my kids some winter items with the change of weather coming about. I was very excited to do so in the beginning stages of this process. I placed my order like normal a total of 40 items, right after I got an email saying that one of the items had been canceled with no explanation of why this item was canceled. I thought to myself well maybe this one item may have been out of stock and the website was not yet updated. No biggie.
On the morning of the 19th I hadn't received any email or texts alerts about shipment of my $340.00 order, so I go online to find out that my entire order (ALL 39 ITEMS) had been canceled with no explanation, no notifications nothing! I contacted the customer service department which told me that because my shipping address does not match my billing address my order was canceled which is the craziest thing I have ever heard of, my billing address is to my home where I live and I put the shipping address as my mom's address because I am not at home during the day.
What if I have a family member out of town I want to ship items to as a gift, especially with the holidays approaching. I am sure this isn't a far-fetched concept. Keep in mind it's the week of Thanksgiving which means it's going to take forever to get my money returned to my card. This was my 1st and most definitely my LAST experience with The Children's Place!!! The customer service lady I spoke to was no help and kind of on the rude side. I'm sure someone with the company somewhere reads these reviews, I would like to be contacted about my experience at **.

I placed an order for gift card online from The Children's Place and they sent me the wrong one. And then I called to let them know that they sent me the wrong one and that there was nothing they could do. I would have to drive into a different Children's Place and have the amount transfer to the card that I wanted. Now I have to waste my time and my gas to drive into The Children's Place to get a new gift card that they screwed up on.
I was first told that the amount was why the card was not the one I wanted and then she hung up on me. I had to call back and talk to a guy and he said that their support team said there was nothing they could do about it. Well why didn't their support team call me in the first place or email me to tell me that that card can't have $25 on it. I don't know what is wrong with people but I'm pretty sure people do not have brains anymore. Waste of my time and the support team told me to go to the mall to have the money transferred so I just called them and she said she didn't know if they could even do that. Omg this place is a ** mess and whatever happened to customer service? They made the mistake and they should fix it.

DO NOT ORDER FROM CHILDREN'S PLACE ONLINE!!! So I ordered a coat for my daughter online from The Children's Place. They sent me a confirmation of my order and took my money. A couple of hours later they emailed me saying my order was canceled but didn't return my money. I called and someone I couldn't understand said it'll take 10 business days for a refund. No more business from me and I get 95% of my child's items from this store. Going to dispute it. This is ridiculous!

I have written two emails, asked for help and nobody has been able to give me a solution. I buy at least two to three times a year in the online store but this time I do not accept the security code of my card. I have tried to make the payment with other cards and it does not allow it either. The service and help they provide to the client and the interest that they give to their needs are very bad.

So called managers, Keyanna and Dominique, were the worst. Laughing at customers in their face, these young women talked about everything outside of The Children's Place but giving good customer service was not on their agenda. I am a business owner and these girls "couldn't" have lasted more than a week in my world with the attitudes they BOTH had. It was literally ridiculous. Miss Keyanna refused to give me my receipt but I demanded I get a picture of it. Miss Keyanna folded the receipt back so I couldn't get a picture of the barcode, FOR THE PURCHASE I MADE. I took the items I paid for back to the store to get a refund because I wanted to get something else, not the items I exchanged because I understood the rules.
Miss Dominique raised her voice in front of other customers to tell me because I didn't have my receipt I couldn't get a refund/exchange my items. I explained and reminded her, she was there when Miss Keyanna Refused to give me my receipt and I showed her the picture I took. Miss Dominique said because the barcode was not shown there was nothing she could do. I explained, it's not my fault because Miss Keyanna folded the receipt so I could not take a picture of the barcode. Miss Dominique, with voice raised said there was nothing she could do. I left the store and came back in the store to hear Miss Keyanna and Miss Dominique discussing the matter with each other and customers that wasn't involved. The worst customer service ever. I work in the healthcare field, what if I was taking care of them with a bad attitude???

I purchase a lot of clothes for my children at this store. Both online and in-store. So much that I have a store card. Well recently I made a last minute purchase for my nephew's birthday and paid for expedited delivery to make sure I got it in time. UPS changed the delivery date so that it would be delivered late. I called UPS and they said I need to call The Children's Place. When I called The Children's Place, of course no one is American and can comprehend what I was saying. In the end, they refused to refund even half of the shipping charges. They just lost my business for good! Horrible!!!

I ordered 50 items online and although the receipt said that they were all shipped in 1 box only 7 items arrived. It has been 1 month that I am trying to get my money back for the items not shipped. Customer service keeps promising that they do owe me and it will be back on my credit card in 3-5 business days and so far NOTHING. It has been 31 days. STOP STEALING MONEY FROM CUSTOMERS. I have pictures of the small box with all the items nothing else would have fit. I went into a store and showed a manager, she said she can't do anything about it and it has happened to HER!

I went to the store that is located Tri-county mall in Springdale Ohio. I buy a jacket for my son less than 2 weeks ago. The lady who sold me the item in the store tell me, "If it doesn't fit you can bringing back and we can exchanged for a different size!!!" Because I wasn't sure if that jacket will fit my son so she said, "Don't worry bringing back if it doesn't fit." I was like, "Ok then."
Today I went to the store to exchange the jacket for a different size. I don't even ask for a refund and then I notice that the manager show up to the register and start to smell the jacket! Then he get close to me and said, "Excuse me. I can't exchange this item because the tag is not attached to the jacket!" I said, "It fall off when my son tried that on! But the tag was inside of the bag." The only thing it fails was the paper tag even the other thing was hanging on the jacket and the guy who supposes to be the store manager said, "I'm sorry Children's Place polices."
I was like, "For real?" and he was very smart answering like, "Yes I can exchanged or refund." I was like, "I don't even ask for a refund. I was asking for something will fit my son" and he was like, "I can't do anything" and then I ask him, "So you have to smell all people's items when they return something??" So he said no!!! I was like, "I just saw you smelling the jacket" and he was like, "I have to make sure that is not worth but that is not the reason that I'm going to exchange your item".
So I was like, "You couldn't find a reason so your finding excused to not to exchange the jacket? I have my receipt with me. It was less than 2 weeks when I bought it is not worth so why you're refusing?" He was like, "I just can't. I get so upset and was, "You racist!!!" And he said, "You have to leave the store." I have my two kids with me and he ask me to leave the store. My daughter told me, "Why that man is so mean." I'm never going to buy anything to this store anymore. That was a horrible experience.

Their return policy is terrible, without a receipt you cannot return anything. Even with a receipt they would not return the boots I bought for my daughter because it was 2 days past the 30-day return policy, they would not even let me exchange them for a different pair or in-store credit. I will not be shopping there anymore and canceled my credit card with them as well.

I don't think I have ever written a negative review before but my experience merits it. Children's Place made some kind of error in filling or shipping my order. It took me three weeks and numerous exchanges with Customer service via their online e-mail process and by phone to finally get a refund for an order that never shipped even though they had sent an email informing me it had shipped. UPS showed it had not shipped, and Customer Service agreed it had not shipped when I first wrote to them. Despite acknowledging the order had not shipped, Customer Service repeatedly told me they would get back to me in 24-48 hours, or 2 business days, each time providing absolutely no information or help on the issue. I did FINALLY get a refund, thankfully, after getting very insistent on the phone. The entire experience was infuriating and unprofessional, and I will certainly never order or purchase anything from Children's Place again.

I bought my son a jacket XL. Unfortunately it was too big. Called customer service and they refuse to exchange or even price adjust for the smaller size! There is a $16 dollar difference and they expect me to pay it! It was an online exclusive so I cannot just go exchange in the store. I have had nothing but problems with this place. Such a shame because we like the clothes but the service is horrible!

I recently ordered a winter coat for my niece. The order was delivered within the time frame suggested at time of purchase, but instead of receiving a winter coat, size 16, I received a pair of baby shoes, size 6 months. Funny thing was that the receipt in the delivery box was for the coat. Called customer service and was told they couldn't re-ship the coat, that I'd have to get a refund that would take 7-10 days to be issued and then reorder the item. What kind of refund takes 7-10 days, especially when it was the error of the shipping department?! They did however say I could keep the shoes for my inconvenience, but what am I supposed to do with a pair of size 6 months shoes? This was my first and last time ordering online from this company. They really need to change their online shipping and refund policy.

I bought 3 gift cards for 100.00 each a week and a half ago from The Children’s Place. I gave the guy a 300.00 check in which they’ve cashed. My daughter went to buy my Granddaughter things from this store for her Birthday. She called me and told me that the cashier told her that there was a 0 balance on the card. Well, I ran up there with the receipt and she calls the manager to tell her this. And the manager tells the cashier that it’s her day off and did nothing about this issue. The cashier said that she sees that the card was not used but it was activated for 100.00 dollars. She made several calls because she didn’t know what to do. So someone told her to call customer service. Ok, she calls customer service and we are on hold for 45 mins...
Now I’m getting impatient. Someone finally picks up and said it would take 3-5 days to investigate. My daughter had a bag full of things for my Granddaughter that they put aside. I go home and checked the other 2 cards that I was saving for Christmas and called the back of card to check the balances. THEY ALSO HAD 0 BALANCE on them. I ran back to the store and was beside myself telling them that the other 2 cards were also saying 0 balances. They couldn’t believe it. Nor could I. I called out local Police Dept. and had them come to The Children’s Place. When they arrived I explained the whole story. I wanted them to put all of this on record. That they cashed my 300.00 check and there were 0 balances on each 100.00 card... Now, I am stuck, waiting 3-5 bus. days for them to investigate their mistake. I will never shop at The Children’s Place for my Granddaughters ever again. This was at the Turnersville NJ store. I'M DONE WITH THEM...

I have been shopping at The Children's Place for about 9 years now & never had any problems until my last order. I purchased 2 sweaters for my granddaughter & used My Place Rewards. It took about 4 days to tell me that part of my order was cancelled with no explanation. Since they cancelled the sweater I really wanted I sent them an email asking why it was cancelled & if I could get it in another color & still use My Place Rewards. Another 4 days later I received an email that stated it was out of stock & that someone may have returned one & nothing about getting my reward back to use on a sweater they do have in stock (which they are still showing it in stock online). Needless to say, they screwed me out of my points with no explanation as to why. I don't know if they have new people running the place or what but I'm done with The Children's Place.

I just ordered eight items for my son and five days later they are still in shipping status. I wondered why so I checked with my bank. They have already charged me twice. Now I have an overdraft fee and I still have no clothes. I am calling them today but I am furious over this. I will still shop their store but I will never order online again!

I placed an order online Oct, 17 2018, first time shopper on The Children's Place. (20 items purchased.) It got cancelled, called and their sale rep wasn't able to tell me what the problem was, I was inform that she will write a note regarding the issue and let me know via email, she also advise me to do over the order while she find the issue. I place the second order same day. It got cancelled again the following day. I was told by a second customer service Rep that the billing address is the problem because I was using a card from the Caribbean, the items was being shipped to an address in the US. The email I got with the cancellation stated that my card was not charged. However when I check with my bank the card was charged TWICE!! and the payment went through.
When I contacted them again about how they LIED to me about my card not being charge, they told me it was just an authorization hold, and I will have to wait 5 days before I will see the funds in my account. SO NO GOODS!! Because they cancelled the order, took MY MONEY!! and told me to wait 5 days to get it back. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS AND THIEVES AND I WILL BE TAKING LEGAL ACTIONS IF CANNOT SEE MY MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT IN 5 DAYS!!! How can you be a operating an online purchase system but unable to explain and fix possible errors on your part?? and take people's hard earned money and show no interest of giving it back. And their customer service... they got no clue, and you will be on hold for at least 20 mins. I will not even attempt to purchase anything from them again.

I have been a customer of Children's Place since 2011. Never really...having to return things, maybe once or twice. I purchased back to school winter clothes for my son on 8/26/18, all items were simply too big. All tags still on, kept the one shirt he wore cause it would be wrong to try and return that. Went into the Moorestown Mall Location in NJ and ask to return them so we could repurchase other items that fit. All items being returned were still on the shelves by the way and at the same prices I paid. Was denied my return/exchange because it was over 45 days.
Mind you, it was 52 days since purchase. So now I am stuck with clothes my son cannot use. Let me also mention that the Manager of the store was arrogant, sarcastic and rude. Her name is Jaritza. So I am aware that I am a small fish in a large pond. I have spent thousands over the years and the store and the customer service hotline deemed my maybe $120 worth of exchanges not worth keeping my business. I have not received a call back from the resolution team so my husband told me to close our account which I am doing today. This interaction sent my husband and I over to Old Navy, where we needed to exchanged two pairs of sweatpants also purchased on the same date as the children’s place items and with the same return policy of Children’s Place.
As a courtesy after review my history of purchases with them they did the exchange because I wasn't a serial returner. So let me give a shout out to Old Navy who treated me like a valued customer, exchanged two pairs of sweats and gained an additional $291 in profit because they treated me like a valued customer. Very disappointed in the outcome and will not shop at Children's Place n the future and instruct family members who always get him gifts from there to go to Old Navy, it will be our preferred children’s clothing store moving forward.

This store gave me worst shopping online experience. I made an order on Sept 30th. It was suppose to be delivered on Saturday the 6th. It was never delivered. When I tracked it it said it was delivered. I call the UPS. They said the sender used 2 carrier so I have to call sender. So I called children's store on the 8th. They told me they will reship and I will get a confirmation with tracking within the next 3 days. 3 days later, nothing. I called again they say they have no update from the warehouse, it's taking a bit longer than usual.
Called again today, they still have no response for me. The guy said it take 7-14 days for the warehouse to send them shipping info for a reshipment. Wow so CRAZY. That's really unfair. If I order something, it's because I need it. So why they think it's okay to just keep for as long they want. My son is grown out of his clothes. Today I had to go to Ross to get him an outfit for church tomorrow. Meanwhile I've ready other over 8 sets of clothes for him from The Children's Place. Not fair at all. This the worst store online ever.

I would like to warn you about their shoes. Just about a month ago my daughter's father purchased a pair of boots for my 5 year old. The boots are terrible quality. They already have cracks and are peeling in the front. She's only worn them about 10 and are demolished. She has been careful wearing them but the material of the boots aren't great. We truly love the store and their super cute clothes but we aren't so sure if we will continue to purchase shoes there.

Think twice before buying anything at The Children's Place. My son received a pair of pants for his birthday but the narrow legs were too tight. The tag was still attached and the pants had never been worn. Because I didn't have the bill, the store wouldn't exchange the pants for the exactly the same size and color but just the wider legged version. Ridiculous. I won't shop there.

I was excited to use the $100 worth of bucks I earned for spending $100s on school clothes at an outlet mall. I knew I only had so long to use them too. I get to the register and now I can only use them for every $20 I spend. So, basically it is NO deal at all because I earned a $10 buck for every $20 I spent and to use one $10 buck, I have to spend $20!! Children's Place used to be my go to store for my kids. They NEVER had stipulations on the bucks you earned. You could use them no matter how much you spent. This is a total scam! Not to mention they had little girl's jeggings marked at $34 in an outlet mall! I can get 5 pairs of the same material leggings for myself at a cheaper price and that would be a lot more fabric. After my experience yesterday, Children's Place has lost my business for good.

As a store that caters to children (and parents that purchase their clothes), should be aware of how difficult it is to buy clothes that fit constantly growing children. My mother purchased a couple of hundred dollars worth of school uniforms for my kids as a gift. The regular sizes at The Children's Place no longer fit my son and I wanted to exchange the regular sizes for husky sizes. The clothes were recently purchased, never worn and still had tickets attached, but when I called the customer service department, I was told this exchange would not be allowed because I didn't have the receipt. EVEN THOUGH THEIR WEBSITE STATES THAT "WITHOUT A RECEIPT, EXCHANGES CAN BE MADE FOR A DIFFERENT SIZE." This is in direct violation of their on-line return policy.

Rude customer service. Had pants that didn't fit my daughter... wanted to exchange for smaller size. Got told that I need to mail back, reorder and then call back to wait another 30 minutes to speak to someone who could give me my original price on my order 72 hrs after I do my reorder. Or I can drive to my nearest Children's Place to return which was an hour away from me. So I chose to ship from my post office and not reorder. Shipping was 10 dollars. I'll never order from Children's place again. I've been ordering for years and never had this much hassle.

I ordered my son's pants online. Money was taken right away. Never received a confirmation number. Called 4 times. On hold for over 30 min. Could not find my order or email. The call center is overseas. 4 weeks later got clothes but the wrong color and size. I will just give to goodwill. I am not go through the trouble of taking back and dealing with this company anymore. By the way I live 2 hrs from a store that’s why I ordered online. I will never order again from this company! So I purchased school uniforms online for the upcoming 2018 school year. Package was a UPS SurePost meaning Package was transferred via USPS? Why? When tracking shows the package got to the UPS location near my home? With no Insurance USPS marked the package as delivered in mailbox. Its was 6 items. My mailbox can’t hold that quantity of pants even if they are nicely folded, or rolled up.
USPS has a 1 hr hold time and The Children's Place customer service reps will pick up the phone, not say a word and shortly after I get a survey asking for my experience with the rep. I select 0 for worst (and you would think they could redirect me with customer care experts. HAHAHA. No!!!). The automatic voice states "THANK YOU, GOODBYE". What a joke. Tomorrow school starts. I placed my order 2 weeks ago!!! Now I’m in a battle to prove I did not receive my items. I hope whoever did receive it has kids that need it more than mine otherwise they will be upset to know its was a bunch of school clothes. God bless.

I purchased online school clothes July 27, 2018. Received an email saying they shipped and should arrive August 4, 2018. Closely watching tracking. I see it change to delivered on doorstep. I immediately called Children's Place to see what was on their end. 45 min wait to get someone, she was quick to say, "Sorry, can I get the order number", sure. Give it and boom. They had my form of payment, etc. She verified I Paid with PayPal. "Okay you will receive a refund." I thought it was weird because no questions asked, refund just like that. No confirmation email.
I hurried to log into my PayPal to find out they had already put a transaction thru and it's pending my bank. I dealt with this for 4 and a half hours Saturday. I didn't even know if I was going to get the clothes or if the whole site has been compromised. The clothes oddly showed up Saturday afternoon with a totally different tracking number!! I got scammed and they got my info from Children's Place!!! Total security breach!!!

BEWARE!!! Today, August 1, 2018, I was on the TCP website trying to place an order, but I could not check out, and it appeared that their website crashed. Too many people on at one time. I called technical support at 1 (866) 524-4531, and I get a prompt to dial 1 for service, so I did. A rep got on the phone. I explained to her the problem. She said for my inconvenience they will be sending me out a $100 voucher. All they needed was my name, address, and the number of my credit card.
I asked why would they did my credit card number to send me out a free voucher against my better judgement I did, but quickly realize this was a scam and they were playing like they were the Children's Place technical support. I called my bank immediately to close out my card and to issue you me a new one. They already within minutes did a test run by taking our $2.99 and refunding it. They have Mexicans names and accents. Do not call this number. It is not affiliated with TCP. TCP needs to update their technical support number ASAP!!

Shopped online at Children's Place. Woke up to massive fraudulent transactions on my bank account. They have a massive cybersecurity issue. Many people are reporting the same problem. I did not shop anywhere else and didn't even leave my house. This is a big company and there is no excuse for the lack of their cybersecurity. Especially when reports were coming in days before I shopped with them. Their customer service agent says there is no protocol for this type of issue, just to report it to corporate. That is a shame!

I have a pretty good limit however my available says $0.00. I just realized that my June payment never went through which hurt in the long run and I was a day late this time around. All my other payments have been on time. This is one of my favorite stores to shop at for my child and other family members. But the ridiculous amount of charge for a late payment. (The highest I ever seen). Never saw a $25 dollar late fee in my life plus now I will be getting another one because I lost track of a day.

Shame on you Children's Place! I placed an order on 5/28 and the order shipped on 5/30. I saw the authorization come out of my account and thought everything was fine. 2 days ago I get a call from the bank suspecting fraudulent activity on my account. They ask have I shopped at The Children's place in the last week and I told them no! The bank placed a block on my card and I had to pay $35 for a new card to be expedited to me. I began to search my email to see when was the last time I shopped at Children's Place and found the transaction from 5/28. I think no way they've charged me twice! I call the bank back and they tell me they saw the authorization on 5/28 but the final charge didn't come through.
I called Children's Place to be told, “I'm sorry we had a problem with our system on 5/28 and was just now able to process the charge.” Almost 30 days later!!! You've got to be kidding me! I completely understand having a glitch and things happening but how about a heads up before you go into someone's account almost 30 days later. You could have sent an email, a letter in the mail, or even a phone call. Especially seeing as I'm not the only person but all transactions from 5/28. I will never shop with The Children's Place again! Buyer beware! You give your card information and they will take funds at will and you would never know! I'm definitely contact the BBB and anyone else willing to listen!

I have been an avid fan of The Children's Place since the store opened years ago. I have their credit card and 6 grandchildren. I bought bags of summer clothing. One skirt I bought in multiple colors all size 14. The black skirt however is about a size 4. The label in the skirt stamped by the maker says size 14. This is clearly wrong and if you hold this skirt up to any of the other size 14 same style you can see it's 1/2 the size. Well I have my receipt, my CC, the original bag but the ticket was in my hand as we detached it from the skirt thinking it's a size 14.
Amber the Assistant Manager on duty 5/28 stood there stone faced and said "this is not the tag from the skirt". She never looked down at the tag. I then got the size 14 black skirt from a rack to show her it's a manufacturer's defect labeling it the wrong size. She stated "that's a different skirt". It was not. She never looked at the two skirts. She stood there stone faced reciting me the tag not on the skirt. As an assistant manager I would expect she would know what a manufacturer's defect was and she surely would have treated me nicer. She had no customer service skills, she didn't try to solve the problem. She stood there like I am the boss! She was awful.
I then asked to be direct to the District Manager so Amber handed me the customer service card kept on top of the computer (maybe they use a lot of these). I called customer service and I am now awaiting to hear from a manager. I would hate to stop shopping at this store as I love the items and price. The Children's Place should hold a customer service seminar because this woman was way out of line. She had no customer service at all. I will write back once I hear from the corporate office.

The clothes are cute and well made. I feel I get deceived because when I order online it says that I am buying at a sale price, however when you go to check out the prices change to the full price. I thought this may have been a one time thing, so did not order from them for several months. I got an email for a really good sale going on. I ordered and sure enough when I checked out I ended up paying full price. I feel like a fool for trying them out again.

Do not waste your hard earned money at The Children’s Place!! Not only did I lose the items at sale price, they’ve yet to refund me. I’ve been on hold 20 minutes to speak with a supervisor. I was told a week and some change ago my money would be on my card today, I call back and they said they’ve yet to process my refund!! Now I must wait an ADDITIONAL 3-5 business days that I’ve ALREADY waited for my refunded. When I called and asked to speak with a supervisor they was completely ignorant and said there’s nothing they can do and that’s “just the way this works to just deal with it and wait”!
I asked if I could be reimbursed with a gift card or something and she said the only thing she could do is give me place points which would expire within 48 hours and would only be equivalent to $10 off of my order which mind you I can find the same “coupon” on any website like “retail me not" or Groupon. Don’t bother wasting your time with these people. All scam artists. They don’t even attempt to make things right with the customer. All the people on customer care barely speak English and make it seem like you're the one that’s being a nuisance. They have stolen $42 from me!!!

Generally speaking, I love Children's Place. Their clothes are trendy and affordable. I love the Place Cash. However, I went to return some items today and the employees told me I could not because I did not have a receipt and the items were not in stock at the store. I would have gladly taken a gift receipt and spent the money in the store. I asked the girl if she would be able to order a different size for me online, and she said they did not have that option.
I cannot support a store that will not take back its own merchandise. There are many, many other places to shop with equally good clothing and pricing that have favorable return policies. Kids grow fast after all! I will no longer give or accept gifts from here, as I would hate for myself or others to be out of money. I've already shared with family and friends to be aware of this. Unfortunately, one small detail has ruined my opinion of a brand I once loved.

Spent over $300 and received $110 in Place Cash Rewards. First off it’s a joke. You have to spend $20 to use $10 worth of your reward. Then why did I shop the first time and earn the cash?! So annoying. Kohl’s Cash is amazing. I earned it, I should spend it without having to pay more out of my pocket. Anyway, online it says that you can use up to $200 of this Place Cash per order. When I tried doing that, it wouldn’t accept more than $60. Somehow my order was processed even though I didn’t place it and when I called to get it cancelled the rude lady on the phone told me I could cancel however I wouldn’t get the $60 reward back?! Um what? Now I have to go to the store and return half of my order so you can use the other portion of my Joke of a reward. Steer clear of The Children’s Place. They suck.

I had trouble creating an account for My Place Rewards. Then, it took me almost forty minutes because I kept getting an error message saying that the password was wrong but then I couldn't reset it for some reason either. I couldn't create a new one because my email was in use. So, I just gave up. About two months later, my personal mobile device logged me into SOMEBODY ELSE'S!!! I only notice this because the My Place Rewards amount that I accumulated was different. It is the worst website ever!

"We apologize for all the inconvenience. A new Gift Card was requested on 02/27/2018. Please allow 4-6 weeks from this date to receive the new Gift Card via mail." This is the response I get when my order was CANCELLED with no contact to me about it - when I realized it never came in the mail - they tell me it was cancelled. I have to tell them to issue me a new gift card. It has been 4-6 weeks (which is ridiculous by the way) and still no gift card. NOTHING!!! I am not able to contact anyone about this - they keep sending me emails tell me to wait 4-6 weeks and not reply. I am disgusted by this customer service! No wonder everyone orders from Amazon! I ordered in January 2018 - it is now practically April!!! My child has grown 4 sizes!!! I am extremely upset they have not tried to make it right with me at all. Wasted time!

I purchased clothes for my boys around December. When I placed the order the screen said the order was not able to be processed at this time. So I tried again, second time it went through. TCP billed me twice and shipped two orders, I did not realize it until after the orders both showed up at my home. I have 4 kids and work 2 jobs as well as my husband works full time as a professional firefighter with long hours. We are super busy. I thought he returned it. He thought I returned it (to the TCP store in town), but I found it last week in the garage all boxed up still. It was after the 45 days return limit. Even though they are the ones who made the error of billing me twice, they refused to even make an exception and let me return the items for store credit. The receipt also came so faded from low ink, it was nearly unreadable. Many of it you could not read at all. Seriously disappointed.

Just today I received an email that two items from my order were removed and canceled. Guess what was included in those 2 removed items?? THE ONE ITEM WHICH WAS THE ONLY REASON WHY PLACED THE ORDER TO BEGIN WITH!!! I immediately called the customer service hotline and as anyone could expect, they were of no help and simply apologized for the inconvenience. Well they definitely lost a loyal consumer today. I made a purchase on 4 Mar 2018 using my credit card for a family reunion photos. Not even 2 days later my wallet was stolen so I reported it and canceled all my debit and credit card. The banks issued me new cards with new account numbers. On 10 March 2018, I went back to the exact store I made my original purchase from to return the outfits that didn’t fit my son. They would only give me store credit even though I had my receipt and the tags were still on the clothes because I didn’t have my original credit card. I can’t help that my wallet was stolen and new account numbers were issued.
I ask if they spoke to my bank and the bank gave verbal approval, can they manually take care of it. The bank can also validate that my card was stolen. The smug manager said, "No...in store credit only." So when I ask for the corporate office number to call, the store manager and cashier were complete **. Highly unprofessional. I called the corporate office but they were closed so I spoke to customer service. Again the staff were not helpful. How is it other companies as long as you have the receipt it can be credited back on your account without swiping your card again but this store can’t or more like it won’t. Do not recommend anyone to shop there.

I recently placed two orders online at The Children's Place. One order was shipped and received, while my second order has yet been delivered. I contacted customer service 3x, yet the options provided to me include waiting an additional 4 days for a research request to be completed or wait until officially 10 days on which the order shipped to cancel to receive a refund. The issue at hand is waiting. I've already paid for my items, I haven't received the items, but I am advised to wait longer for resolution. This is not acceptable! It is not my duty as a consumer to sit on the phone back and forth between the shipper and delivery company to track my delayed order. I should have been provided the same items on a different order with express delivery options to reduce wait time and resolve my delayed order experience. Neither The representatives nor the supervisor I spoke with showed empathy or concern regarding my issue as the customer.

I recently started shopping at Children's Place November 2017. First time purchased a pair of shoes in store, which was good. I signed up for rewards etc that day. December 2017 I made my 1st online purchase. I was sent an email b/c a pair of pants were not available. Once my order arrived, I was missing a pair of jeans, I called and I was issued a refund. Repurchased jeans in store. 2nd online order was placed on 1/11/18. Today is 1/26/18 and I haven't received my order. I called 3x about my order. The first 2x I called they said it takes 10 business days. I told them if it's not here by Friday (1/26/18) then I want my money back.
I was told I could have the items adjusted b/c I used place cash. Then they say you can order the items at regular price and we can adjust the price in 3 business days. Hell no! They gave me a 30% off coupon and 200 points (points can't be used until 2/2018). So I reordered my items with my coupon. 6 of my 8 items gave me the option to be picked up at my local CP store which I chose to do. 3 hours later I get a email saying your order is ready for pick up. 3 items were ready for pick up, and 3 items were no longer available. Really Children's Place!!! You couldn't tell me that before I placed my order again. I will NOT spend another dime here. I will keep going to Old Navy, JCPenney, Carters, OshKosh, Kohls, Target, and Walmart for my child's clothes.

It's after the holidays, we received gifts of 2 items we DID NOT like for Christmas. We didn't have a gift receipt (never was given one), but simply wanted to exchange for another item. The staff was very unhelpful and did not care at all! (Store in Murray, Utah) and The Children's Place policy for exchanges without a receipt is stupid! Why the hell can I not exchange for any item in the store that I would like? I could have at ANY other store mind you, but I could only exchange for the same item just different size/color. '
I DID NOT like the items given to me as a gift for my son. So I still have items I DO NOT want, because the policy is a joke. I could have gone anywhere else and could have done an exchange no questions asked for any item I wanted. Not for a different size or color. Change the policy! I had visited the children’s place in Mount Hope, WV at the Crossroads Mall Dec 21st with both of my small children. My son had picked up a dirty opened sucker (lollipop) that was in the store floor while I was browsing through the boys toddler section (didn’t purchase anything due to lack of 2T size Shirts). Turned around and I noticed he had it in his mouth and took it from him and took it to the front and the cashier lady got an attitude when I asked for a trash can.
While she was reaching for the trash can by the counter I was telling her my son had this in his mouth and the lady replied, “Oh, well thank you.” Now my son has contracted oral thrush and gingivitis (gum disease) or another form of gingivitis (form of herpetic), all from that sucker. All because your employees can’t keep that dusty floored store clean!!! I have been up for days with him because of the pain he has endured from the “trash” from Your store. This is awful. He is almost two and can’t even enjoy his things he gotten for Christmas. Still yet has corporate contacted me. This is crazy. I honestly don’t even know what else to say about this whole situation.

A lovely friend of mine ordered pants and a gift card for my daughter, they were shipped directly to us by The Children's Place. When my daughter picked out some clothing she wanted online the gift card was showing zero balance which was impossible as I had the receipt in front of me and my friend had loaded the card with $50. So I email them explaining their mistake. I get a generic response asking for the card number and pin but also not to reply to the email, to call a number. I call. I get told I need to speak to a different department, the gift card department. So I have them transfer me... Get this they are changing their system and can no longer help me because they cannot see gift cards with pins in their system!!! I am told I need to check my balance online to which I reply, “I have and it’s zero it should be fifty.”
I'm then told I need to go into the store to resolve it. It’s December 18th. I'm not going near the mall I tell them. This is not acceptable. They then tell me to call a number for help... It’s the number I called originally. I call. I'm on hold for half an hour and need to pick up my kid so I hang up. I get my kid put in dinner and call again. The man on the phone tried to help me but ultimately after an hour says he will let me know in 3-5 days what they can do... Mind you this was a Christmas gift. My kid shouldn't have to wait until Christmas to even hear what they will do about their mess up. What on earth is this even? One of their employees didn't activate a gift-card. I contacted them Dec 15th and am now told Dec 18th. I need to wait 3-5 days for them to figure out if they can fix it? I then asked them to just refund my friend and they said they can’t let me know for 3-5 days. What is this???

I wouldn’t give this place a single star except for the fact that it requires you to do so! I ordered a pair of boots for my daughter for Christmas a few days ago & JUST TODAY received an e-mail saying ‘your order has been canceled’ with NO reason why. So I called & was informed that the item is ‘no longer available’. FALSE ADVERTISING AT ITS BEST RIGHT HERE FOLKS! I then asked how they could rectify the situation and they told me I would have to wait to purchase the boots once they’re back in stock. Gee thanks, because Christmas can wait for you to add more inventory. I inquired about having them shipped from a store that has them in stock & was immediately shut down & told no. Good riddance Children's Place. I don’t care how inexpensive your clothing is, I WILL NEVER AGAIN SPEND MY MONEY HERE!

Ordered 2 pairs of shoes for my daughter. I received an e-mail stating my order had been received, however, no additional emails about the status of my order. After a couple of weeks I decided to give them a call to find out when my order was going to be delivered. Customer service representative informed me that my order had already been delivered. Now, I never received the second email letting me know my order had been shipped or to provide me a tracking number. I was told my money would be refunded but the items were not available and UPS was not accepting extra packages!?? What? I believe the whole thing was a lie and they simply ran out of the items I ordered! I'm going to have a very disappointed little girl thanks to your lies! Never ordering from you again!

I have done quite a bit of online orders and in store shopping with The Children’s Place and have been fine. Their clothes are fairly good quality and with the deals make very good bargains. I ordered a shirt and my daughter did not like it because she itched when she wore it. I returned it but the cashier would not take it back saying the shirt did not have a tag. I believe a store dealing in children’s clothing should be more flexible with returns. I will not be ordering online from this store and only will buy if I am so sure I would not be returning the item. Back to my former store.

I asked to speak with a manager. I was then told none was at the store. I asked to speak with whatever employee was there. The employee comes out and poses as a manager. The employee keeps my driver's license after I made a payment on my credit card account. When I return to retrieve it she smirked at her coworker to let her know that I was back in the store.

Bought $120 worth of clothes for 2 toddler boys. Had to return these items as they didn't fit properly. Oh boy! 2 days past 45 day receipt policy. I could do an even exchange, but no store credit. WTF??? I'm on my lunch hour trying to quickly return these items and now I have to hunt down more clothes. What's the big deal you say? Well, The Children's Place Corporate Executives... I'll tell you... My business, that's what! If you had given me store credit, I would have returned in store or online and most likely spent even more than the actual store credit. However, I spent the rest of my lunch hour feverishly picking out 5 replacement sweaters. $4 dollars short and to the credit of the clerk, he made an exception and gave me $4 dollars on a gift card. (Against Policy) - he almost saved you. He was so nice!
However, I will be throwing that $4 card away. This unforgettable shopping experience will be rewarded with NEVER, EVER, stepping foot in your store EVER again. People, do not put yourself in the position of tangling with the customer service policy of this company. Look at all the other reviews... The Children's Place = a corporate policy that doesn't care about you, your time or your children!! Shame!

I made an online order, paid for my purchase, submitted for Rush delivery. I received my confirmation, never received shipment info and then the following day I received an email telling me my order was cancelled with no explanation attached. I then proceeded to call customer service. Quite a few non-English-speaking Representatives on the line that also could not explain to me why my order was canceled or why the email that was sent to me states that the funds would not be removed from my account but the funds were removed from my account and then they proceeded to tell me that they would not release the funds for 3 to 5 business days! I have never been so upset with an online franchise as big as this.
Their email says one thing the corporate office is located in New Jersey but the call center is in Guatemala. This is a big scam. I need to figure out how to report them because I don't know how to deal with situations like this. But I am very upset my children have no clothes to attend my grandmother's funeral and I feel that I was robbed. So I feel that this should be put out there for awareness to others before they fall victim to the scams and frauds by these huge companies that use America as a front for their overseas operations.

I just had the worse buying experience ever. I placed an order and items was removed without my being notified. I happen to see when looking back online for something else. I called and requested that the whole order be cancelled and was told that there was no assurance it would be done. CSM Julie was very rude and refused to give her manager's information. I find it to be poor business practice to tell a customer that when they place an order there is not a guarantee they will receive that item. Worse yet to tell a customer that they can't cancel an order that was just placed and still in processing. So basically you never know what you will receive when you order from them and to be told that they have power to remove items but can't cancel order completely is just robbery. To tell me I can send back for a refund when they don't even need to mail out is ridiculous. I will never order again.

Online Order cancelled with no explanation. Received notice of cancellation 5 business 5 days after the order was placed. Product did not arrive for an intended birthday gift. Call center in Guatemala is not Customer Service. Requested both by phone and online to have emails cancelled. Still receiving several emails per day. Called corporate office directly and operator was told to take a message and Customer Service would call back. Don't expect them to call back!! Suggest you do not do business with this company.

I am not sure I've ever been more shocked and disappointed with a company's customer service before. I ordered 14 items for my daughter, mostly snow gear for the new year, an outfit for the fall, two dresses for school pictures and holidays, boots, and a pair of shoes. I opened a credit card for the discount, received the package and was overall happy. Until I realized I didn't receive the two dresses or the shoes. I triple checked the order and tracking number. Both said they were in the shipment. They were not. I needed the dress and shoes for picture day the next week. (Ordered two weeks in advance.) So I try to contact online but the form won't accept my tracking #.
I call and I'm told they can refund my account and I can reorder if I want. If they send a reshipment it will take 20 business days. WHAT?! Then they say even if I reorder though, it won't come in time for the day I need them anyway. The people I spoke to sounded like they were from India. I just cannot fathom how Children's Place will stay in business with this type of policy. THEY tried to cheat me out of merchandise I paid for and then were not willing to correct their mistakes and make it right. I will be closing my card and unfortunately never shop there again. I have no idea how they've managed to stay in business this long and the retail industry as it is cannot afford to lose customers. Wow!

Ordered 3 pair of 6 slim jeans due to the store do not sale slim sizes. Was excited when package arrived but the package seemed too lightweight for 3 pair of jeans. There were 3 toboggans hats. Customer service is a joke. They immediately emailed me free shipping with UPS to return their merchandise. I was informed I should receive my jeans next week. I asked for express shipping since it was their error. Children Place is history. No store, no online no use of place card. Corporate do not take customer call. They don't even list a number. I will return jeans and hats in the same bag. Bad service. Most workers you can't even understand what they are saying. Bad service.

All I can say is there was a sale and I FILLED my cart with 80+ items and went to check out and none were there. I'm livid, it took me over hour half because my daughter wanted some things she saw from there, otherwise I know their quality isn't my usual GAP, etc. Ironic the site is down for the sale(?!) I'd like to be compensated as I was about to drop prob a grand with them, but their loss. I'd appreciate a % off, if you want to make up some money, you'd be smart to do it! I've shopped at the Children's Place for years, since my kids were little. I've always loved their clothes so I'm really, really disappointed about this - I shopped at one of their stores on Labor Day (almost 2 weeks ago) to do some school shopping and there was a glitch with their computer while I was paying for my transaction. My account was charged twice - once I realized this, (later that day) I contacted the store and was told by a manager that I just had to wait 2-3 days and the money would be back in my account. If not, I should call customer service.
My money wasn't refunded so I called customer service and was told to wait another couple of days and my money should be back. They said the manager should have put in a request for me but there was no record of it. So I asked them to put in a request for me (I had to actually ask them to) and then was told it'd be another 3-5 days. 3-5 days later my money still wasn't refunded. Mind you, I just wanted the additional charge that was taken out of my account to be returned. I wasn't asking for anything extra, just for what was mine to be returned. So I called again and asked what I had to do to get my money back.
I was told that they were looking into it and I'd get an email by the end of the day telling me what they found out. I asked what my next step should be to get my money returned if they didn't email me. The woman at the call center assured me that if they said they'd email me they would. Ok, that's great, I was looking forward to finding out when I'd get my money back. No email. At this point I'm really frustrated but am trying not to take it out on anyone, I just want my money back. It was enough that it affected my account and I just want it back. So I called their customer service again and was told that they had decided they didn't actually charge me twice and if I still had a problem with it I had to speak with my bank. Seriously? I have proof that this happened, and I'd be happy to share it if that helps. So I call my bank and they verify that yes, I was charged twice by The Children's Place. And no, the extra charge hasn't been refunded.
I just can't believe that they won't return my money. I'm genuinely surprised that they don't have a simpler and more honest way of correcting a mistake like this. Were they hoping I'd just give up? I don't know but now I have to wait another 10 business days to get my money back. And it's sad because half of my kids' clothes are from The Children's Place. I know I'm just one customer and that my business isn't going to make or break them but come on, just do the right thing.

Coupon codes are not applied to online orders. The message says it will apply at the end of the order. That is not true! When you call to have the code applied to your order they tell you they can't do it until the order is shipped. SUCH A SCAM! I'll never but another thing. THE CHILDREN'S PLACE=SCAM!

I purchased uniforms for my son online that is now in pre-k. At first they said he had to wear uniforms. Then they changed so I went to return them. I didn't want my money back. I wanted a store credit to get other things for him even though I had my receipt and items were still in the packaging they came in. I call the store before I went in and after I got there the same person I talked to said I couldn't because it was 2 days past the return date. I would you sweet and if I no receipt and wanted my money but all I wanted was a store credit. I will not purchase anything else from them and I WILL MAKE SURE I TELL OTHERS NOT TO AS WELL NOT TO SHOP WITH THEM.

Purchasing online with this company seems simple enough until your order is incorrect and then I have to say -- good luck! The toll free phone number provided is constantly a 30 minute wait time so I don't believe they have many employees manning the phones. There is an option to email your issue to them and I tried that, provided order number and specifics. Received an immediate canned response thanking me for my email and stating I would receive a resolution within 5 business days. 15 days went by before I called and endured the 30 minute wait. Finally spoke to a representative from another country and she promised to credit the account. I'm not confident this will be done.
ADDITIONALLY: When I placed original order I earned "place cash" entitling me to $10 off $20 purchase and I could use up to 6 coupons. I attempted to place my order and all went well - even discounts were showing UNTIL I continued to confirm/pay for the order. At that point A big banner came up stating their site was down for maintenance. Convenient that this happened on the last day I could use my coupons, don't you think?

They do not offer you the code or account number when approved (they use same bank as other stores who do allow you to use same day). So this August 2017 they have a on going promotion spend 20 and get 10 back towards store credit. I received my promotion so I decide to make another purchase during checkout. I'll admit The Children's Place has some pricey clothing especially when your child grows so fast and seasons always changing. Your children never really has time to wear out how much money you actually invest in the clothing. That's why I choose to shop when they have deals going on. It's the ONLY time to shop there, well recently I received an email with a killer back-to-school sale. I decided to check out their online website and make a purchase. Now before I go into details I'm just gonna say it's better to shop in the actual store so you can know exactly what you're getting and see the quality of what you're getting. Well the deal was online ONLY and so I decided to go ahead and take my chances online. I proceeded to go to my cart, I hit checkout through my PayPal account and BAM! order finished! I didn't get a chance to confirm my home address, my billing address, nothing!!
They pulled my old address from my PayPal and auto filled the address on my children's Place account. I have never had a website do this before! I immediately called customer service to fix this issue. Now It's about 2am and the voice Machine says they will reopen at 9am. I didn't want my order to be processed and shipped to the wrong address, so I called technical support, the wait time took 45mins!!! Like who the hell is also calling children's Place technical support at 3am? By the way It turns out your wait is almost an hour long no matter what time of the day you call. Anyway, Every customer representative is an Indian woman! Not trying to be rude, but they are very hard to understand and feel they do not sympathize with your problems, they are almost robotic if you will. I explained my issue and she proceeds to tell me I'm the lucky caller and won a $25 gift card!
I'm confused because I have a problem here that she is not attending to it. She keeps putting me on hold, transferring me to other Indian women who seem to have no idea how to help me so they keep passing me around like playing a game of hot potato. After an hour of repeating my problem to several different representatives they disconnect me, I didn't understand why I was hung up on? I was cooperating, I didn't raise my voice, I just wanted my problem fixed! I immediately called back and my phone would automatically hang up as if they were on the other side declining my call after one ring. I was so upset after trying multiple times of not being picked up. I waited and called at 9am. After another 45min wait, another Indian women answers. I again explain the situation on how my address is not correct on my order and I need it changed before it's processed and shipped.
She puts me on hold for another 30 mins and says, "Sorry, there's nothing I can do for you once you submit your order." I explain, "So what!? My order ships to my old address and I'm out my money?!" She claims she will hurry and leave a note on my order that says to cancel it and should receive an cancellation email in 30-60 mins and then proceeds to put me on hold and then hangs up. Annoyed I wait for the email and nothing!!! Fed up, I called PayPal and asked them to see if they can decline the funds for the order. I also explained it was being shipped to the wrong address. They seemed helpful and said after the phone call they will do everything in their power after we hang up to contact the merchant.
Several hours later I get a cancellation email on my order from children's Place but they kept my money? I still have yet to be refunded my money!! Or heard any word on that supposed $25 gift card "I won". This is by far the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER DEALT WITH IN HISTORY!! I literally made this account to write this review!! I hope children's Place will one day see these reviews and help better their customer relations. I will shop elsewhere in the future. Be very cautious of this company, from reading other reviews they almost seem fraudulent!

Back in May, I opened a credit account with The Children's Place. I made one big purchase, so I could get my first time user discount of 30% off. The girl who opened my credit card made her own purchase while I was shopping. I got an email receipt for my purchase. Not for the other one. I tried to contact the credit card company. They refused to credit my account. They sent me a receipt with a purchase claiming I did it.

The Children's Place in Canada has awful customer service! DO NOT shop at Children's Place. They have extremely horrible reviews and very bad quality clothing as well. Recently, I accidentally purchased 2 exact t-shirts for my son from 2 different purchases. I had already thrown away the store receipt when I realized that I have 2 of the same shirt for my child. I visited the store to explain to the staff that I do not have the receipt but the shirts still has all the tags intact. I asked if I can kindly exchange one of the shirt I purchased for another shirt in store... Same style just a different graphics on the shirt so that my son doesn't end up having 2 of the same shirt. I was told "NO" so I asked for the customer service phone #. She wrote it down with her name and said, "You're wasting your time calling". I sent an email to Children's Place and it's been almost 2 weeks and still haven't heard from them.
So I went back to visit the store hoping I can speak to the store manager and see if she can help. She also said to me that she cannot help me so I called the customer service phone number. The total wait time and trying to get hold of a live rep took me 45 mins. I finally spoke to a lady and I couldn't understand a word she's saying. I had to explain several times over and over my issue and at the end she told me she cannot help me without a receipt. I ask her if someone else with higher authority can help me and her exact words to me was, "I do not have the authority to connect with you someone else". This experience was very upsetting because all I wanted was to exchange a same style t-shirt for another. I wasn't even asking for a completely different shirt and their Children's Place brand name is printed on the shirts so it's not like I purchase the shirt elsewhere and trying to exchange it at their store.
After 2 weeks of trying to get my problem resolve via email, phone calls and in-store visits, I'm still unable to get help. The staff are rude, unhelpful and clearly does not care about their customers. I even ask the rep on the phone if they don't care about their customers going elsewhere to shop and she said to me, "Then, that would be your choice ma'am". DO NOT shop at Children's Place. They have extremely horrible reviews and very bad quality clothing as well.

The worst customer service EVER! If you do not have a gift receipt when you receive a gift forget about getting an exchange or store credit! They will only exchange for size. What happens if you don't like the pattern or they don't have your size??? They don't care!!! Like I said, the worst customer service! DO NOT SHOP AT CHILDREN'S PLACE! They DO NOT CARE about customer satisfaction! These are children, they are picky and could not want something for the smallest of reasons! Even the corporate office was of no help! Worst experience with the customer service. The Contact Us number has a minimum 25-30 min wait time no matter what time or day you call in. The customer service agents are not able to resolve the issue on the spot. All they will do is escalate and moreover the customer doesn't have any visibility over the escalations. No emails confirmation, No progress details, No update. The only way to know the updates is call back in on the contact us hotline and wait for at least 30 min to talk to an agent. Worst Customer service ever in this age, where things should move faster with all the technology in place. These guys have a definite looong way to go to be at par with their competitors.
I had purchased a gift card, which was misplaced. All I requested is to cancel the gift card purchased and issue a new one. It is over 60 days now and I am still waiting for the gift card to arrive in mail. And for this request to be processed I had to call in 4 times be on a minimum 30min wait and hear the rep response that my request is escalated and there are no updates yet. Finally, I think I have already given up on my $50 gift card. I don't have the patience and the time anymore for another 30 min wait call. Worst experience!

I use to love shopping at The Children's Place and now I really hate it. I applied for a Children's Place credit card and was real excited that I receive it until I made a purchase and it was declined right away. I called the Customer Service and they couldn't ever tell me why my purchase was declined and on top of the exclusive offer I receive wasn't any good. So I tried to make another purchase and it was declined again because of insufficient funds. I called the Customer Service again and they said I would have to wait five days for the money to be back on the card. I ask why when they declined the purchase right away. They still couldn't give me an explanation. This is so unacceptable.

Buyer Beware! I place my order April 17, 2017, and received a confirmation that they shipped it on April 20, 2017. Well they took my money and now my package is still in transit to UPS since April 20, they haven't updated where the package is at or nothing. I call The Children's Place, and, of course, they gave me the runaround, after 45 minutes of holding. I emailed them and they said they will get back with me. I called UPS and they telling me the tracking detail is wrong. I wish they will credit my account so that I can purchase my grandchildren thing at a more reliable place. This is the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. I have been an online shopper for over 10 years. In my opinion, The Children's Place is a ripoff.

I want to start by saying I actually created an account just so I could post this review. I've never spent time reviewing a place even if I did have a bad experience but my God Children’s Place is next level. So, I tried ordering on their website when they were having promotions going on (always too expensive otherwise) and none of my credit cards were working, so I figured it’s a glitch on their website and called, they couldn’t help me. So, I bought an e-gift card to place the order and it didn’t come with a pin. Called them and they said it’s sold from a third-party seller so they can’t do anything about it. Called the website and they said it’s how its sold to them so call Children’s Place back.
So I’m calling back and forth for a few days (on the phone all day for 5 consecutive days) and they say, “for all the trouble here’s a promo code and call back when you place the order, whenever that may be, and we'll offer you a price adjustment and honour the prices that were going on when I wanted to order but wasn’t able to”. So finally today call again and they tell me, “okay we've sent out another card by mail this time but it'll take 4-6 weeks”!! I'm like, “well that’s too long, I'll just buy another card and I’m ready to order, can you offer the price adjustment”, and she said no! They conveniently couldn’t find that offer in their notes!! And she proceeds to tell me that the promo code was in replacement of the price adjustment. I tell her we'll take back the code, I just want the price adjustment, and she said no. So I told her I won’t be ordering and giving them a very bad review.
I really wish I had just listened to the reviews here so I could’ve saved myself all of this headache and all the wasted time. Please do not buy from them. And to top all of this, I called my local Children’s Place and the manager said she would give me a price adjustment and I went in and took a good 45 minutes picking everything out and figuring out sizes and such, and at the end of it all she totaled double what it was in my cart and said that’s the best she could do, so not a price adjustment at all either! I'm never buying from them again. And if you’re smart, you won’t either!

Do not shop here!!! They will not return ANYTHING without a receipt, not even for merchandise credit. Unheard of! If shopping for girls I recommend Justice. Yes, they are a little more expensive, but the clothes are more hip for tweens and they accept returns without a receipt that us crazy busy Mom's might run into. I have spent so much money at Children's Place throughout the years. No more. They lost a customer for good and with that policy could probably care less. There are ways for retailers to control people that abuse returns without receipts by their membership numbers or drivers license numbers. Their person was also so rude at the register at Fair Oaks Mall. NEVER going back! Save yourself the hassle as well!

I have shopped with this company consecutively for 5 years and these 2 years has been the worst with getting proper customer service and courtesy. My last incident is the end of me shopping with them and I wouldn't refer anyone to buy anything from them. I missed a coupon by $5 and was willing to spend the $5 to get the coupon but because the order shipped, I was unable to spend the $5 in order to obtain the promotion. I basically understood that they would rather me return the $100 in merchandise rather than allow me to spend the $5. Ok, your loss because you have lost a loyal Diamond member and I will be returning the order once I receive it.

I placed an order 3 weeks before we going overseas. When I saw that the stuff are not arriving I checked my email (I'm not on my email every day) and I saw that they cancelled the order god know how, they didn't even say a reason. I wanted to place the order again because I needed the stuff and I didn't have enough time to find other staff so I called the customer service to ask them for express shipping for free. Fair, no? It's not my fault. After waiting 20 minutes on the line the officer told me again and again that it's impossible and they have nothing to do. I asked for manager, the manager was much worse. He said that it will take 48 hours to find out why it cancelled before they do anything... THIS IS RIDICULOUS. When I got angry and I asked him to find a real solution he simply HUNG UP!!! This is CRAP SERVICE. You know that Carters are gonna get all my deals from today.

Somehow I ended up with two accounts. It took four calls to customer to fix this. All they had to do was combine the accounts into one. They finally did it but did not transfer my points and put me back to 0 points. I've called two more times and still no points. This is the worst customer service ever. First of all if you're gonna have your stores in the United States you need to have some English speaking reps. I can't understand them and they don't understand me. I had a lot of points. If I don't get my points I will never order from this company again and I have 1000 friends on FB that I will also tell every one of my friends. I'm usually a very patient but now they are gone and I'm done being nice.

Return policy - On 1/27/17, I went to the Cutler Bay location to return a dress I purchased in October 2016. The cost of the was $19.97. I was told by the sales person that my receipt was expired. Unbeknown to me because I never looked at the receipt after I made the purchase nor did I ever have to return any item. I was told by the salesperson that I was allowed to exchange the item for a bigger size which was perfect! Unfortunately, the size I needed was not available. I asked if I could have a different item that was around the same price. I was told the store was unable to let me get a different item. I'm very upset because I spend hundreds of dollars with this store on a yearly basis and just this one time I was not allow to get a different item! Where the exceptional customer service and customer satisfaction??? I will never shop at this store again!

I wish I read the reviews before, I would have saved a headache. We bought three pairs of shoes for Christmas and they were small. So we went to the store in Wheaton mall in Silver Spring, Maryland to exchange them with the receipt. We were greeted by a rude cashier and another rude person who was supposedly a supervisor. The cashier was very angry, she was very rude and she told us that we won't be able to exchange them. When we asked her about the reason, she told us she can't tell us the reason. We tried to contact the customer service department, and never called us back.

I returned my daughter's clothes on 1.2.2017 and it's 1.17.2017 and I still haven't received my money back. I was never informed the day I made my refund transaction that there would be 7-10 business days before I received my credit card transaction refund back. I had to contact their 1.877.827.7895 in order to find out about their refund policy. It is very unprofessional to take my money immediately but then I have to wait 7-10 business days to get my money back. Every time I call their customer service number, they still are waiting to find out the reason that it's taking so long to receive my refund.

I placed an order 2 weeks ago for Christmas pajamas for my son so he can wear them on Christmas eve. Today, 2 weeks after I placed the order, they cancelled it. Said it was out of stock. Unacceptable! Now my son has no Christmas pj's because I am working & cannot go out & shop which is why I ordered them 2 weeks ago. Disgraceful. They offered me a $5 coupon which was the amount of the rewards I used for the purchase so they offered me nothing.

I am appalled at the terrible customer service provided by The Children's Place. After my situation I decided to Google, "The Children's Place reviews" only to find a smothering amount of horrific reviews so decided I must add mine... I ordered some baby clothing items for my brother's newborn in Alaska. When I went to check out I noticed the outrageous shipping amount of $15 but against my better judgment, removed all but 2 items from my cart to make it affordable enough and checked out.
I received my confirmation email stating it was a 2nd day air delivery. Why that was my only option aside from next day air for $25 is beyond me when many other stores offer standard or free shipping to AK. Well, I had a second email in regards to my order. It stated that only 1 item had shipped because the 2nd item was not in stock and that they do not fill back orders! They did not charge me for the unshipped item but they never contacted me to let me know prior to see what I would like to do, or that it happened in general. So, I paid $15 for 1 item to be shipped.
I called that day to speak to customer service and waited over 20 minutes on hold before I had to end the call because I am a mother of 2 small children. The second day, today, decided to call again to get this sorted out and waited 45 minutes with no answer. I had to once again end the call to tend to my 5 month old. I am completely displeased with The Children's Place and will never shop there again and make sure all my friends, family and social media followers are aware of this.

I am very dissatisfied with the customer service at Children's Place located inside Southland Mall Miami FL. After waiting in line for an HOUR I was told by the "manager" that I was not able to exchange a gift I received without a gift receipt. The tags were still intact on the pajama. I understand there are certain policies which btw is not right and extremely UNFAIR on Children's Place behalf, but there is something called common courtesy. The manager could have done an exchange as a courtesy for standing online for an hour with my 4-yr old son. On top of that this "manager" named JULIE took her time, made me wait longer to give me her bosses info which btw was the wrong number. Extremely inconsiderate employee you have representing this store. This faithful customer will no longer be returning.

I purchased a couple of outfits for my daughter for Christmas at The Children's Place in Kingsway Garden Mall, Edmonton. I have purchased quite a bit of clothing there for my daughter over the years when they have sales otherwise I can't afford it. When I got home I realized that the saleslady had left a security tag on one of the hoodies, (no alarms went off as I left the store). I called them the next day to let them know and see if there was something they could do about this. They told me the only thing they could do was if I went back into the store and they would remove the tag for me. However I live 180 km away from Edmonton and I am not going into the city again anytime soon especially not before Christmas so I asked if I could have a new hoodie sent to me and a return shipping label and I would send this one back to them.
The lady at the store said that they would not be able to do that but that customer service might and gave me the phone number. I then proceeded to call customer service. The person I spoke with said that there was nothing they could do but have me drive all the way back to Edmonton (almost 2 hour drive one way) to the store I purchased it from to have them remove the tag. I explained that I did not live in the city and how far away it was and I was not going to be able to make another trip in. I then asked them if I could have a new one sent and I would send this one back. They put me on hold and apparently asked someone else then came back on the phone and told me there was nothing else they could do, so I then asked if they would be paying for my fuel for my vehicle and km as it would be wear and tear on my vehicle as well as 4 hours out of my day.
I was then told again that me returning to the store was all they could do, so I then asked if I could speak with the manager. When the next person came onto the phone I found out that they were only a supervisor not a manager so I first apologized to them if I was raising my voice and explained to them I realized that this was just their job but that I was getting very frustrated with the whole thing and needed this matter fixed. I then had to explain the whole thing to them again and asked if I could have the hoodie sent to me. They again put me on hold to apparently consult with someone else then came back on the line with a new solution. I pay to send the hoodie into them and they would send the new one out to me and then they would reimburse me for the shipping.
I then explained I not only did not have the money for the shipping but that by the time they received this one and then sent the new one out it would not be here in time for Christmas and that this was their fault this all happened in the first place and I should not have to go through all this just to get the hoodie. I was put on hold once again and then told if I could not do that then there was nothing more they could do. So again asked if I could please speak with the manager. I was put on hold again or so I thought to only realize that they had hung up on me! I was so angry I had been on the phone for over an hour and then to be hung up on. I had no time to call them back as I had to go to work. I am so disgusted with the service I receive that I am telling everyone I know and putting this on here as well as anywhere else I can so that other people can see what kind of service to expect when having an issue with this retailer.

I recently had a baby so of course people had bought us gifts for her. Unfortunately one of the presents bought we didn't get a gift receipt for it. The item bought wasn't something I had really liked and it was also short sleeve. It's too cold right now to put anything short on my baby, so rather than just letting it sit there I went to exchange it for something I can put on her. I chose what I wanted and after waiting forever on line got to the register to only be told I can't do the exchange because I don't have a receipt. I would have to exchange the dress for a different size.
I explained it was a gift, I didn't get a gift receipt from the person that bought it and why should I be forced by the store to put something on my child that I don't like. So now I'm stuck with a dress that my daughter will never wear. I've never experienced this in any other store, all I did was provide an ID and no problem. Children's place return policy really sucks and the quality of clothing isn't even what it used to be. Definitely will not be shopping in Children's Place!!!

Ordered online. Sizes were way off. Returned to store so I wouldn't have to pay shipping and handling fee. Guess what - store doesn't honor prices I paid, so I had to pay much more for same items in different size. Return policy is worse than any store I've ever been to. The customer service is horrible... online and in store. Never shop there again!

Awful outcome about cash refund after my debit card was used to make a purchase. I have the receipt and was offered a GC because I lost my debit card and the funds one can't be returned back to my account or cash given to me only a gc is offered. What's the use of emailing the receipt and keeping a customer tracking system to prove all transactions when all you the customer will receive is a hard time. Just go to Carter's. Better customer service and quality clothes.

I purchased 4 shirts & 4 pricey glacier fleece pants just 2 weeks ago in the Augusta, Maine store using my Place credit card. Made the mistake of removing the tags & tossed the receipt, only to discover the shirts were too small. Went back to the store w/the 4 shirts & requested an exchange for same shirts in one size larger (S vs XS - same size dept) - they refused an exchange or store credit - even tho they had a pile of the same shirts & I had purchased on their store card - they claimed they couldn't look up my purchase from exactly 2 weeks prior on their own store card... that's a crock as WalMart can look up my recent purchases on my regular Visa! I wasn't asking for my cash back or even store credit (although I would have accepted either) - I only asked for an exchange and they refused!!! I used to spend easily $1,000+ per year at The Children's Place for the past 3 yrs - but after that, card is cut up & I'll never shop there again.

I recently tried to make a debit purchase in store. For years, I have struggled with the large screened terminals in the Canadian stores; they are touch insensitive which means you have to enter your PIN number without protecting it; anyone behind you can see it as you enter it and (as has been known to happen) if there is ceiling camera, it can be easily read from up there. A good friend had her card number viewed that way and without having her card taken, money was removed from her account in Russia!
When I tried to cover up my PIN while entering it yesterday, the touch insensitive screen made it difficult to enter the correct number. I tried twice and then the terminal warned me that I had one time left and before allowing me to enter it again kicked me out of the terminal and left me without the use of my debit card over the weekend! The clerks were clueless and asked me to use another card (Losing my Visa card in the same way was a great option!). I left WITHOUT making a purchase!!! I did go to the children's GAP and made all my purchases there instead!
A word of advice CP, should there EVER be any issues with my account you will be the very first place I lead the inquiry team to check. There is NO REASON that individuals should feel unsafe when making store purchases. What is the reason for us to shop at your store if that is the CASE??? Move to the 21st Century and either use tap technology or rent a terminal that allows for safe transactions!!! This is a record that your store's terminals exposes customers to risky financial transactions!!!
Also, at the Eaton Centre location, the manager finds it appropriate to exchange looks and giggle about customers. I witnessed this on a few occasions aimed at more than one customer and even overheard what she had been commenting on; "weight and clothes; the way a customer looked". How shockingly offensive and inappropriate!

Back in mid-July I made a few purchases for my son and at the end of one of my completed orders there was this thing saying that I had made 70.00 in Place Cash that could be redeemed between Sept 13 and 23rd. There was supposed to be an email containing coupons for the 70.00 and I never got it. Nobody can give me a clear answer and now I just feel really screwed over for even shopping at this place. I have had issues in the past with the Rewards program not giving me the 5.00 coupon that I earned in points too. I think they like to bait people into shopping here. It's not nice. I am pretty sure that we are finished shopping this PLACE! Angry Mom.

STAY AWAY FROM CHILDREN'S PLACE. THEY ARE a BIG RIP OFF. I bought an outfit for my nephew 2 months ago and just now have been able to give it to him. The outfit doesn't fit and if taken back to the store they will only get 25% back or only 1.99 since it is a summer outfit and fall clothing is out. There is a gift receipt and they expire after 45 days. What a crock of bull this is. I paid full price and the store gets to now keep the difference. I will NEVER shop there again and I will tell everyone I know to stay away. Poor business practice.

About a year ago I bought 7 pairs of pants for my son, size 14, which were still brand new with its original store tags. What I did not have was the receipt. My son gain weight and now is a size 16. I took all of my pants back to the Children's Place store to exchange for a bigger size. I was advise that the store does not carry a size 16 but their online service does and because I did not have the receipt I was advise that I could not exchange or get a store credit. I was advise I should go online to fill out some info about the date I bought the item and with what credit card I used so that they can look up the receipt.
I went online and did just that on 06/30/2016. I was also given a case number. On 07/13/2016 I call the Children's Place to find out why I had not heard a word from them. I was advise they call and left me a message. I advise the customer service rep I never got a call or an email and that was the reason I was calling. The rep explain to me that they could not find the receipt therefore the policy stated without a receipt they could not assist. I ask to speak with manager and was advise he was going to tell me the same thing. I got transfer and the manager indeed told me the same thing.
I advise I would like for children's place to keep looking for my receipt. I advise the rep that I have pants worth $133.81 that I can't do anything with plus school was starting and needed the pants. He continue to explain their policy. I then ask to speak to the corporate office. The manager stated he would transfer me and then ask what my name was. I said to him that he was on the phone with me for almost an hour and he didn't know what my name was. He told me to hold on then disconnected the call and didn't even bother to call me back. I have been a long time customer ever since my son was born and never had a problem.
Children's place has really bad customer service and they could care less about their customers. I can't understand why their customers have to go through all that madness just to get a store credit. I didn't even ask for my money back, just wanted a store credit to buy the size 16 online. I went to Walmart the other day to exchange a pair of short that did not have the store tag nor did I have the receipt and got the royal treatment. Children's Place should take a chapter out of Walmart book. I will never buy anything from them again nor recommend them to any of my friends who will tell their friends and so on.

I find the clothes at The Children's Place too expensive and either too small or too large (their sizing is weird). But I like their hats so I bought 3 at the price of $11.21 each. The very next day I saw the same exact hats online for $7.47 each. I called customer service and the store, and both said they don't do price adjustments because all stores and online have their own pricing and promotions. What's the point of being a chain if all stores/online are going to have different prices?? I wasn't asking to apply a coupon after the fact, I wasn't asking for a competitor's price and I wasn't asking for a sale price three weeks later. I was asking for the same price they had online the very next day and they refused.
Clearly their ridiculous policy is there to rip you off. If they cost $7 online NO reason why the store price shouldn't match. Other retailers have been more than happy to adjust discrepancies and TCP just didn't care, why would they? That means there are thousands of people buying more expensive items in-store. Never again!!

Consumers beware. Placed an online order only to receive an email from Children's Place stating the "order had been canceled" and included several reasons as to why that "may" have happened but none specific to my order. Email also included their Consumer Affairs phone number. After calling to find out why the order was canceled, I was informed that another department handles that, one that cannot be reached and the rep had to send a request for the reason which may take 2 or 3 days to receive a response.
Children's Place first places a hold with the bank on the funds for the entire order including any tax and freight prior to placing the order. So when it's canceled the consumer is left waiting for the funds to return to their bank which in my case is up to 10 business days. Suggested they change their policy to first confirm they have the items in inventory and verify the other host of "reasons" an order could be canceled prior to placing the hold on the consumer's funds. Total waste of our time placing this order and their phone reps are obviously foreign and could hardly be understood but yet have names like "Willy". Right. Taking our business elsewhere.

I made sure to spend enough money to earn one extra Place Cash. I also tried to order clearance items but they were all out of stock when I clicked into each item, completely wasting my time. When it was finally time to redeem my Place Cash, the sale online was 50% off, with a code, for everyone. This made the Place Cash worth nothing. The sale lasted the exact length as the Place Cash redemption. Today, a day after the Place Cash expired, the sale changed and all of the sudden you don't need a code to get the sale price. Why did it change? Because now they don't have to worry about the Place Cash anymore. I let my Cash expire and am not happy about it.
I also shop at the Limited and the sales aren't quite as big during their "cash" redemption but they still have a sale and you can combine them which makes spending the extra to earn the dollars worth it. The moral of the story is that the Place Cash is a complete scam. Just look at how angry customers are on Facebook and with the same canned response from the company.

I am a regular customer; I shop at least 15 or more times a year here. I recently bought some Easter clothes. I received place cash. 5 of them to be exact. They are for 10$ off 20$. Usually with 100$, you are able to buy 10-15 or more items when the prices are low. Today I went online to shop and use my place cash. There seems to be nothing on sale. Dresses that were on sale seemed to have gone up to regular price. Nothing that is worth buying is in stock; I have 5 kids. Sizes I need vary widely from baby sizes all the way to a 11-year-old. So honestly I can get 4 items for $100.00 using place cash. That seems like a ripoff deal. I really want to keep shopping here, but because of 1 bad experience, I consider not shopping here anymore.
Prices should not change 10 times a month depending on if the business is doing good or not. I suspect that's why the prices are sky high one day and the next they are practically free. Well, at least what they try to get rid of is practically free. If people were able to do the percentage off and the place cash, I don't think there would be a problem. Besides place cash is only several times a year. Like Kohl's. Except Kohl's lets you combine the coupons with Kohl's cash making for a great deal. People tend to spend more money if they are saving more. It's a fact.

You earn Place cash for buying $20 or more. You can't use these for another month after you get them. When you finally can, it's 50% off the site with a code so you can't use Place cash with the other offer making it expensive. They then say you can use up to 6 at a time. THIS IS A BLATANT LIE! You can use 2 at a time! They say on $20 or more. Another lie. I was at $29 and it would only let me use one coupon with the total being that amount after the coupon. I also sent them 2 emails regarding other issues with no response. I was getting emails saying $20 Place cash for every $20 you spend. I go to the site and it's $10 for $20. It also said everything was 75% off when nothing was on sale. Again no response.
I am now on hold for the 2nd time today trying to figure out their scam with the Place cash. I am done with this store. There are plenty of other great kids clothing stores out there who don't jerk around their customers. I have made sure my friends who shop here as well know about this and they too have agreed to go elsewhere.

I purchased a shirt for my grandson, size XL and it was too small. I was at the mall and didn't see the need to travel to my house to get the receipt when I used my place card to make the purchase. I was informed by a very rude manager that I would have to exchange the shirt for one exactly like it, even the same color, only a different size. There were no shirts in the store like this shirt in any size or color and XL is the largest size they carry (???). Still this person kept saying I would have to exchange it for the same thing, until I told her, "Fine. I will take a shirt exactly like this one only a bigger size." Evidently she realized how ridicules her repeated sentence sounded and finally agreed to look up my purchase on my place card. She put a credit for that amount on my card but refused to give me a receipt because "she would need it". Knowing that I would NEVER step foot back in that store.
I found an item for the same amount and purchased it after standing for 20 minutes to check out. The clerk was helping someone else and the "manager" was walking around ignoring me. That credit has still not shown on my account, so this might not be over. Love the clothes, but not well enough to butt up with such impossible rules and rude workers!

I used to shop at Children's Place when I found out I was having a boy in 2008 until about a year ago or two. Over the past couple of years, I have seen the sales become less about satisfying the customers and more about company greed. Not only are majority of the coupons are now in-store only (back then coupons were also for online sales) but the way they handle the coupons online is ridiculous. Here we are the day after Easter and they're having their place cash special and their 50 percent off code but we can't use both at the same. Why? I usually do not buy anything with place cash because all the merchandise is full price and you are not able to use additional coupons when buying with place cash. How is that satisfying the customer? When you go to stores the prices are different as well as the sales than from online.
I wish Children's Place kept their company MO they had back when my children were babies... not like now. You used to be able to use coupons online and get better deals on top of their sale prices. Not like now where people are fooled into paying full price when the item will be going on sale in a few weeks. The prices fluctuate for different sales (when in reality you're paying full price). Once an avid Children's Place customer, I am now a once in a blue moon customer. I barely buy from Children's Place because their coupons are hard to use and their prices are tricked. I used to like shopping online where I know I can find my children's sizes without the hassle of going to a store that may not have it and getting a nice deal on clothes. I have since switched to H&M for my children's clothes. They have better deals, better prices, and better company.

While at The Children's Place in Philadelphia Pa on the corner of 16th st and chestnut st I was unsatisfied and offended with the customer service. At one point I was selecting a pair of pants for my daughter and an employee came and checked the floor behind me as soon as I walked away. I looked her right in the eyes because I'm said to myself "I know she didn't come all the over here to checked behind me and didn't even bother to greet me or anything." Not long after that I was back in the same area putting back items that I did not need to where I picked them up from and another employee came up to me. Coincidence, I think not.
I was highly offended and I felt as though I was targeted and every move I made was followed. I wanted to tell those ladies in the store that they needed to change their methods of customer. As a matter of fact I would hardly consider what I experienced to be customer service. I'm not going back to back to that location at all. I don't believe anybody going to a place of business to purchase or even browse for what they're seeking should feel uncomfortable. In fact the personal relationship between male and female employees via the conversations that I overheard were far more friendly and unprofessional. That attention should have been focused on the customers and not on having conversations together. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I ordered several items for my granddaughter's birthday. I received the email notifications, under both order numbers, letting me know that one item on each order was no longer available. I called. They say it takes 3 minutes for the items out of stock in the warehouse to be updated in the system. I ordered a week ago. Both items are still up on the website and for sale. No out of stock label. No nothing. This was my first experience with this company. This is my last experience with this company.

I used to place orders all the time online during their specials and would receive email and/or paper statements in the mail. I admittedly forgot to make a payment last year when my father passed away and several months later received an email containing several months worth of late fees and finance charges that equaled more than double the original order... However, had never received any statements in the meantime. I called as soon as I found out and they were able to reverse the charges. At the same time I asked for paper statements only. I never placed another order and my balance should have been $0.
Much to my surprise, 5 months later, I received an email in my junk folder saying I owed them almost $200! When I tried to log into my account, I could not do so. I called the company and they said my account balance was $0. Thinking it was spam, I let them know and subsequently asked for my account to be closed. It was then that the customer service agent told me my account was closed 2 days before due to being a bad account. WHAT?! I had never been contacted by the company that we owed them any money in 5 months. I explained everything that had happened and asked her to place a note with the credit rating company to reverse any bad credit we now have because of their errors. I'm going to report this to the Better Business Bureau as well.
